This was a random find and we loved it! Mr. Cloud is friendly and chatty, and he has an incredible collection of cars and other memorabilia. Let me him tell you his many stories, but he did mention that each car was driven into the lot by him specifically. Cool place! And cute pups :) Bring cash ($10 entry) and support this friendly Yumaan.

Very interesting place. A lot of items collected over his 33 years all with historical value. Cool place to check out. Please note there is a $10 per person entry fee.

Super cool random find while on a road trip. If you like old cars, metal & antiques- this is the place. Several historical buildings on site & history. Many very interesting items in the buildings we had never seen before. The owner knows all about every item on site & has great stories. He has been collecting for 35 years. $10 per person & worth the time to stop & check it out. Unlimited photography opportunities here. Enjoy!

Incredible collection of antique vehicles. Primarily model Ts, but quite a few others, as well as misc antique collectibles. Bring cash. $10 admission. We'll worth it.

What an amazing place. Johnny Cloud has assembled an unbelievable collection of vehicles along with all kinds of other vintage items. It's a must see to believe experience. The sheer volume of Model T's and Model A's is mind boggling. I highly recommend taking the time to drive out and see his collection. It's well worth it!

Imperial National Wildlife Refuge

Mentioned on
1 list
Wildlife refuge
Nature & Parks
Nature & Wildlife Areas
Imperial National Wildlife Refuge is a sprawling area that includes desert landscapes and marshlands filled with diverse wildlife. Although the visitor center was closed during my visit, I found the grounds to be well-maintained and easily accessible. The observation deck provided stunning views, and the fishing pier was conveniently designed for handicap access. The refuge offers an informative experience with helpful staff, engaging displays, and enjoyable hiking trails where you can appreciate the beautiful wildflowers.
We went to the visitors' centre first. The lady there had lots of information about the area. Unfortunately, there was a fire right behind the building at the beginning of the year, but it was starting to look green again. It's a reality check as to how devastating a fire can be. The viewing tower was also closed due to the fire. It was still very pretty and serene and a great place to see! We drove to the Painted Desert Trail and did the 1.3 mile hike. This is a beautiful hike, do not miss it. It's not a tough hike, but there is some climbing and walking thru the wash, but the trails are beautifully kept and easy to walk on. It certainly is one of my top favorite hikes ever!
Micheline R — Google review
Bring binoculars and sunscreen. Visitor Center building was closed. No staff and restroom. Self guided tour of path with labeled plants, 2 elevated viewing areas nice. Can't see much water due too tall reeds. Saw coots in pond, pelican and great egret in air. Slow drive on Martinez Lk Rd to look for wild burros on drive through Army Proving Grounds. We saw 3 in a tight group. Roadside poop gave notice of their proximity. Hot, dry, desolate and beautiful environment.
Chris M — Google review
The volunteers at the refuge were great and had lots of info. The refuge had still wildlife to show what you can see on the trails. The painted trail on red cloud road was about a 1.8 mile easy walk. It is a self guided walk. Map is available at the refuge center. We didn't see any wildlife but it is recommended to go at sunset for the views.
Fiona B — Google review
Lots of beautiful views with lots of loud nose from off roading vehicles. Tons of SxS in the main road so be aware. A sedan can handle many sections for the main road at least until the hiking trial. Visitor center is only open Thurs - Sun due to staffing shortage. The viewing platform there is also closed for repairs.
El P — Google review
Great short trail, the Painted Desert trail. Mostly level and a couple hills. Check out the different overlooks. Check out the visitors center.
Kevin S — Google review
Beautiful. The roads to the overlooks are rugged. If you take a regular car, be careful. 4wd/ high clearance vehicles won't have a problem. If you hike the 1.3 mile Painted Desert trail, take water and trail shoes. There are a couple of steep hills, so if you have knee/hip/ankle problems, be careful. The river was up, and we saw lots of water fowl! Take your binoculars, lawn chair, and lunch and enjoy the view.
Jill K — Google review
The visitor center wasn't open, but don't let that stop you from your visit. If you have a decent vehicle with 4×4 capacity, take a ride through the hiking trails on red cloud mine road, see wild burrow, mule dear, long horn sheep, and see some of the most beautiful scenery. Clean bathrooms and roads decent to a point without 4x4. Recommend for those who love adventure, the outdoors, and wildlife.
K V — Google review
The Imperial National Wildlife Refuge is a great refuge to visit. There are observation points, hiking trails, and beautiful scenery. I highly recommend visiting and spending a half day exploring the refuge and seeing everything that it has to offer.

Castle Dome Mine Museum

Mentioned on
1 list
Museum
Ghost town
The Castle Dome Mine Museum is a destination that offers a glimpse into the life of a mining town from 1878. The museum features renovated and recreated buildings that provide insight into the historical era. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour by scanning barcodes with their phones to learn about each building and its contents. While the mine tour may be pricey, exploring the museum's walk-through portion provides an abundance of history to explore.
Great place to visit. The hands on interactive exhibits are awesome. Most things you are freely able to touch, feel, and experience. Those of them that are not are well posted not to do so as well. This is a great historical place run by volunteers, the price for both the mine and town visit is justified, but can add up if going in a group larger than two. Its a great experience to be had for people of all ages, and people into western culture such as myself. The drive out there can be a long 9 miles on a sand/dirt road, and the temperatures can get pretty extreme. The town is an outside self guided walking tour, and walking outside can easily surpass 1.5 miles. Take water along, you may need it during the hotter days. The mine tour, while underground is great, is on a thermal vent and sticks around 75° year round. Don't miss either one of these, as the mine tour is well guided and the town is well documented with plenty to read. My wife, myself and mother visited. We areived at 10am and by 3pm I still had not felt I got to see or read it all before we left. Next time Im down in Yuma, I will take another tour of this place
Brad — Google review
This place is incredible. I stumbled upon it when I was in Yuma and decided to visit for my grandmother‘s birthday. What a treat. Fascinating to see the old mining town, and what it would look like to live back in the 1800s. I’m definitely going again and this time, I’ll take the whole day to tour the 1.5 mile town. I’m so excited!!! So many unbelievable and mind blowing artifacts….takes you back to a more simplistic time where hard-work and friendship were common, danger, trust, togetherness and community reigned supreme. A spectacular visit, incredible craftsmanship, preserved history up close and personal. I am so blessed and grateful to have experienced this amazing place, even if just for a day. 😍
Del — Google review
It was a little too hot to walk the entire town, but the drive to the mine and the mine was so cool! There were so many awesome sculptures that the drive to the mine itself felt like its own experience. The fluorescent walls almost seem unreal! We didn't realize we were coming during the off season but the owner was nice enough to give us a tour. Absolutely loved it! As long as you respect the rules and do your research, you'll have a good time. A hidden gem for sure!
Natasha F — Google review
What an extraordinary place. I didn’t know what to expect as I’m from the northeast. I’m not always a giant fan of the desert. Castle dome museum Can make a convert out of anyone, I’m certainly a fan now. The owners Alan and Stephanie have worked on the mine and museum for 30 years, and you can see that it’s a labor of love and passion. Everything in the town is historically accurate, they have spent endless hours and years researching the mining town that flourished here from 1864 to 1979. In the mine you’re not only see 13 different fluorescent minerals that light up like Disney’s Fantasia but also many many artifacts Alan has found in the mines. A particular note are the Levi’s 201 jeans from the late 19th century. They’ve been authenticated by Levi’s and they are photographed on their website. It’s an adventure, a history lesson, and a gorgeous place to visit filled with people who truly love what they’re doing. The volunteers here are amazing. I hope you put it on your list. It’s a must see in Southwest Arizona.
Margaret L — Google review
Very nice self guided tour of the old town. Cost is $20 just for the town. If you pay $75 for the mine tour the town tour is free or included. Highly recommend the mine tour! The UV wall of stones is breath taking. Our guide was the owner of the mine and it was fun to hear his story. Well worth a visit. Very unique. Dog friendly on the walking tour but not recommended in mine. Allow 4-5 hrs. Mine tours are only at 1 & 3pm
Julie R — Google review
This is an amazing place! The mine itself contains 15 different minerals that are fluorescent under uv lights in addition to the gold, silver, galena and lead that the miners were digging for. The tour is done on golf carts and the tour guides are very informative! Did you know the oldest Levis in the world were found in this mine? Come see the Levis 201 jeans over 100 years old! Bonus, the ride out to the mine has over 600 metal art statues of just about anything you can think of! They even have thier own dinosaur zone! The ghost town is also so interesting! BRING WATER! So much to see, its hard to believe this much stuff has survived all these years. This ghost town museum has over 50 buildings each full of antiques and artifacts. Something for everyone!
Deanne R — Google review
This is one of the best ghost towns I've been to. You can walk into almost every building and actually touch things. The owner is very knowledgeable, and the bonus is... THE MINE TOUR. It's worth the cost of admission.
Daniel R — Google review
Today, my family and I had the wonderful pleasure of visiting Castle Dome Mine Museum. Everything about the location from the replica buildings (there are a lot of buildings) of mid 1800’s - 1900’s, as well as the history is awesome! Very well thought out…the love and care put into it is evident. What made this experience over the top was how friendly and welcoming Bo and Deeana were. They made it such a wonderful, special experience for our sons. Thank you so much Bo and Deeana.

Nothing worthwhile here. ***If you're looking for a nice place along the Colorado River to camp, go to Mayfair County Park. Right on the river, and the grounds are lovely with tall eucalyptus trees. Water, power, sani dump, showers and flush toilets. No laundry facility. Only a couple miles from the fairgrounds.

The fairgrounds are the site of the annual Blythe Bluegrass Festival. The facilities are in good condition, and they have an excellent stage area.
Shirley D — Google review
I was here for the 36th annual Blythe Bluegrass festival. Not quite back to being the event it was pre-Covid. But still a good selection of bands and worth the admission price.

Great place good people very clean
David G — Google review
The Bluegrass festival was awesome along with the old cars that were there.
Carol S — Google review
We only attend when the 4h is going but every since the idiotd there got rid of the racing it is has gone down hill in entertainment quality. Now, they have these tracker races, which nearly bores you to tears. The bathrooms need better maintenance, as well. Who ever is running that place needs to step down and allow someone with better sense and vision to run it.

Wow! Just WOW. Please believe me when I say I had goosebumps the ENTIRE time I was here. Teresa and her husband have an amazing establishment and business selling the most beautiful and huge selection of rocks, crystals, glass and more! I started in the back with the big rocks and every step I took in that place had me saying “OMG HOW BEAUTIFUL”. I had already had a full basket of items when I got to the front, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny I spent on Teresa’s collection. She literally has anything you could ask for. AMAZING quality, AMAZING selection, AMAZING prices, AMAZING customer service and AMAZING shipping costs. Hands down the best place I’ve ever been to for crystals and gems. I live in TX but will be making quarterly visits out to T rocks from now on. Thank you Teresa for being so kind and warm and you have made a customer for life!
Lauren J — Google review
This place is great. Stopped by on a road trip because they have geodes. We had the best experience there with our child. They were helpful and knowledgeable in providing information on the various types of geodes they have, how to pick the best one and then they help you break it open. The prices were reasonable and are absolutely worth the experience.
M R — Google review
Great selection of rocks Theresa and Mike were very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be back. I found some great selections of Picasso Marble and Onyx for my sculptures.
Jermaine R — Google review
Love this place. Very educational and fun. It has to be one of the best in town.
R J — Google review
When we lived in Salome we made several trips to T Rocks each year and purchased most of our rough for our lapidary projects and stone jewelry. We loved the variety of material and reasonably priced! Now that we have moved to Kingman we can't make it over there as frequently but plan to goat least twice a year. I always look forward to seeing the new stuff they get in. I'm like a kid in a candy store whenever I go there!
North H — Google review
A GEOLOGISTS dream, rock enthusiasts must go lots of minerals to choose from great for collectors of any calliber pricing is fair and there was a lot of selection.
Elle A — Google review
Bought geodes there and cracked them on-site. Bought the ones that glow under UV light. They did glow under a UV C blacklight. Overall, this place has a great selection of different types of rocks and glass. Included a picture to show how the geodes glow under UV blacklight. I would go back to this place the next time I drive through the area.
James C — Google review
Must stop! We stopped on our drive thru the woman working there is super knowledgeable and helpful. Our whole family was able to pick and break geodes due to the great low prices. Next time we drive out to Arizona we will definitely go again.

Hi Jolly's Tomb

Military cemetery
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
It took reading a book on Arizona history to understand the significance attempt of the U.S. Army's experiments involving 77 camels and a Syrian named Hi Jolly in the 1860s to build and supply a Western wagon route from Texas to California.
Randy T — Google review
Great piece of history they don't teach in school. Easy to find worth stopping by. There are lots of other graves in the cemetery to see. If you ever get to vicksberg, check out the grave of old duglas . If you happen to be a history buff, take time to read the last camel charge for the full story.
Noah J — Google review
A little interesting bit of history here. Hi Jolly was a camel expert from Syria who was basically brought in to help test camels for use in the army because of the arid conditions in the American Southwest. He is honored here with his burial site along with others in this cemetery.
Brenda — Google review
An interesting place to stop, learn the history of Hadji Ali, a camel herder born in Syria. Hi Jolly's final resting place.
Marty F — Google review
There are not many attractions in Quartzsite but this is one. I give it five starts based on the effort that has been put forth to tell and preserve the story. There are a few things to read and a monument to see. It will not take you all day.
Joshua H — Google review
Came to see Hi Jollys Tomb, ended up walking thru most the cemetery. It's bigger than the photos make it look. Lots of interesting, old Graves. The story of Hi Jolly is on his tomb. It nice stop - give yourself about 15 mins there at least
Ruby R — Google review
I was on a day-long Geocaching adventure in the desert when we stopped by this town for some food. We looked up caches in town while we were eating and ended up finding this awesome cemetery and monument. The scenary was serene, the graveyard was quiet and I learned a lot about the history of the area by visiting this monument. I have to hope that there still might be feral camels wandering the hills out here. Somewhere.

We have the great honor of participating and the Historical Society Museum event a walk in the past. I was a tour guide. I know nothing about quartzite and this is one of the most fun way to get to learn about Quartzsite. Lynn is one of the most passionate Historical Society board members I've ever met in my entire life
Mark S — Google review
The volunteers there were great to talk with about the different exhibits! Thank you, Mike, for all the info. Great little stop to see some history of Quartzsite and its mining industry. Stuff inside and out to touch and learn about. They sell historical pamphlets and other unique items. The blacklight room to see the different minerals was a highlight to me. Seeing what the past looks like in 3D form is fascinating. It is just a small museum with a huge amount of information. Most items have been donated. While we were there, a man brought his teenage kids to show his donation to them; he was so proud to be able to do that it sounded like to me.
Tamara H — Google review
I highly recommend the Quartzite Museum. They have carefully preserved local history for future generations. The displays are unique and informative. It is free to enter and donations can be made toward the upkeep.

Fantastic place, soo much history and not enough room to put it all. The original building with fireplace in the hall room, original floor in school room/post office. Really awesome place. We passed some visitors and others when we were leaving. The road is well maintained and any vehicle should be able to make it. Once you're there it's easy to see why any culture would have settled there. It has everything a community would need. Very accessible and ways so happy to finally see them! The third set is not accessible to most vehicles however but a small hike if your capable should get you there..

Interesting geoglyphs. Dirt access road is ok for suvs, maybe tough for cars.

Not a lot to see from the ground. It was very windy couldn't get any drone shots. The images are fenced in for preservation. A good thing! Satellite photos show were people have driven through them. Still a good stop. Walk out to the locations on a short path to each area.

Is worth every bit of time and effort to see them…visited the three that are fenced in but there are more further along. The fenced in ones are easily accessed even with a regular two-wheel drive, the furtherest…it would be better with four. Beautiful, haunting, mysterious and… thought provoking.
Jack M — Google review
Went out to the Intaglios and it was such a beautiful experience. The kids and I enjoyed the short walk to the 3 Intaglios that are fenced in. If you have a drone you should definitely bring it to get some nice shots. Also take the time to enjoy the scenery found some beautiful rocks. This is an off the beaten path site and the turn off can be a little hard to find. Make sure to bring water during warm months. Highly recommend during this pandemic :)
Fidele M — Google review
What an excellent side trip into ancient history. The intaglio sculpture designs are created by scraping back the dark topsoil in a pattern to show the lighter soil underneath. Amazing designs that are hard to see from ground level and excellent to see by drone. Our visit was a 112 degree day.

I am here with over 250 actual survivors, family members, veterans. I am at awe the positive karma from the Native Americans and all Japanese families. Although it was a tough time for the Japanese during the time of the encampments, these people focused on the positive side of the times and made the best if it. We all have so much to learn from these people. So PROUD, PATRIOTIC, AND NOT ONE PERSON DISRESPECTED THE AMERICAN FLAG, NOT ONE OF THEM DISRESPECTED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, NOT ONE OF THEM DISRESPECTED THE NATIONAL ANTHEM! NO EXCUSES, NO TALK OF REPARATIONS, just down to earth well educated grateful to be American people. I am so proud to be with them here today and share in their positive powerful remembrance.

It is always fun to find a piece of American History you didn't realize was there. An important site for highlighting how our freedoms are not free, and how fear can force decision making that takes those freedoms away. It also demonstrates the perseverance and willingness to overcome difficult situations.

Bluewater Resort and Casino

Casinos & Gambling
Relaxed resort featuring a beach & a marina, plus a movie theater, bars & restaurants.
Giving this place 5 stars just because of not ripping people off. We stopped in here for breakfast on the way up to Laughlin and we both ate huge breakfast's for 8 bucks TOTAL! I was shocked. The casino was very nice and clean as well. Only problem is it's in Parker so unless you have a boat there's not much to do down here, but I guess if you are staying in Havasu it's worth a drive if you have the gambling itch.
Curtis — Google review
To start off this review, I would like to say my family and I were very excited to experience the blue water resort. We normally air BNB, but we wanted to check out this spot due to the boat slips and the water slide inside. (Water slide is totally closed down and broken, but they are still advertising it online as it's still open). Once we got to our rooms (3 marina rooms) Rms 1038,1039,1040 we discovered the disgusting conditions below. Our shower hadn't been cleaned in at least a month or more. The shower had mold and orange soap scum all throughout the grout. My whole family had to shower with our water shoes on like we were in the river. The bathroom door was rusting completely thru the backside. (Photo below) There was hair leftover in the shower from a previous stay before we got there. ( Proof the rooms weren't cleaned ) (Photos below) There was also dead gnats all over the bathroom ceiling (photos below) The door knob also fell off my bathroom door on the first day as well. The ironing board had dust about 1/2" thick. (Photo below) Besides the room conditions, the service was even worse. The hostess"Olivia" at the blue water grill was extremely rude to our entire group on multiple occasions. We ate pizza at the deli and everyone that ate it puked later that night. After speaking with management, I was told they would be in touch with me to discuss my concerns about our stay. They took my name and number and never reached out to me. If you want to stay somewhere and feel like a burden to the staff. This is the place! If I didn't have family coming from out of state to stay here with me ( reason for 3 rooms ) and two boat slips, I would've asked for my money back and stayed elsewhere. But there is a no refund policy. This place was absolute trash. And the staff was even worse. Please stay away from this dump.

I planned a trip with about 15 people for my 40th birthday here and one of our main reasons for coming here was the river access and the pool/slide in which i communicated when booking. When we arrived the slides were “deteriorating” and out of service plus the lazy river. The river access was blocked due the races but they only had them for one day. We ended up spending most our time at roadrunner and pirates den or in this casino. Roadrunner and pirates den know how make sure their customers are happy unlike this place. My parents got the Junior suite and their air conditioner kept going out. Had to move rooms a couple times and their security literally has nothing else better to do but to watch you in their little security room, run down and harass you all the time you do something that they don’t like. I ran into a lot of people at Pirates Den that were staying there and they all had many many complaints not only are they harassing but they’re also very rude. No one in that place showed any sign of respect or good customer service skills. The rooms are decent and clean, but there’s a lot of things broken inside of this casino. The owner needs to spend more money on hiring respectable people and on the amenities that they state they offer. I will never return to this hotel again! oh and one more thing watch how much of the ice that you have in your drinks at this place we all had major stomach aches on the first night and it had to have been because of the ice because that’s the only thing that we all have that day and the rest of the weekend that we’re the same..I told Bethany I would give her a shout out as she was the only nice and courteous person here! Bethany is an amazing bar tender!

Usually this place is awesome, however this mid week trip was the worst. The water slide was drained and closed down for repairs I assumed. We made reservations online and paid the same price on a Tuesday as we have paid on Friday and Saturday! We booked through the property website. There was no Internet in the rooms but only on the casino floor, and very limited in the restaurant. The front desk has to be notified by the push of a button and then still waiting without pushing it twice. Mind you it's Tuesday night with a max of maybe 15 people in the whole casino. No bartenders or servers anywhere. The floor supervisor eventually came to tend bar with zero experience but a helpful attempt. In the recent past this place was hoppin, lively and enjoyable. Hopefully it gets back to fun again because it's a great location for lodging with easy boat & watercraft access.

Thank you to the wonderful Manager and all of the excellent Support Staff!!! You helped a homeless disabled PTSD combat vet by providing a much needed hot meal for free when I had no money!!! There are literally NO SUPPORT SERVICES FOR VETERANS IN THIS ENTIRE TOWN!!! But the kind folks at Bluewater showed me favor, kindness, and compassion. Thank you so very much!!! 🙏🏾❤️

Would never stay there or recommend to anyone!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars!!! Place was dirty as hell!!! Had to wear our flip flops in the shower it was so filthy!! Hair on the walls!! Bugs everywhere!! Bathroom door handle kept falling off!! Rms #1038-1040, had 3 rms for all our family 9/20/25-9/225/25....Pizza at deli made us all throw up that night!! We planned my birthday trip there and it was the worst experience ever!!! The manager of this place never got back in touch with my husband after he made formal complaints to her. She said she was going to be in touch with us and never made contact back about our experience... DON'T STAY THERE!!!!

What an absolute horrible experience. First off, the grill. One day it's cash only, one day it's a 20-minute wait because they don't want to fill up all the tables because they are short staffed, the next day it's a 40-minute wait because the grill itself is broken. Then you move on to the casino, no complaints about the payback whatsoever. I'm a big player, and apparently that flagged the system to lock up all of my comps and all of my rewards points so I couldn't use them. Upon check out, I asked as a courtesy since I couldn't use any of my comps or My Rewards that they comp my room instead and they told me they couldn't comp my room because I didn't have any room specials. Well that wasn't the point. The point should have been they had issues and they should have made an effort which would have gone a long way in my head for the possibility of me returning to play again or even staying in a room. But now since they have no clue what they're doing I am never returning again. What a horrible experience and very poor customer service.

Blue Water Resort and Casino Fire alarm went off all through the last nights stay. I would give my room stay a zero but only had one star as lowest rating! Stayed three nights on Labor Day Weekend 2025. Paid over $200 a night for king premium room which fire alarm went off all through the last nights stay. Called front deck at 2am after getting zero sleep from fire alarm going off and lightning up entire room randomly. Front desk could only send security to our room to solve the problem? Security arrived, stated that the problem is a low battery and left as fire alarm continued to randomly go off? After light shined through the side end of blackout curtains, spouse and I got out of the badly stained sheets and lumpy, hard pillows bed to put our vessel from rented slip onto our trailer to drive four hours home ending our vacation. While checking out of Blue Water Resort and Casino front deck, attendant insured us when manager is available later that day, we would receive a phone call regarding our complaint about fire alarm going off in our room and Blue Water Resort and Casino couldn’t solve the problem. No phone call or email or any communication on the matter and it’s been a week ago as I’m writing this review? Blue Water Resort and Casino has the correct email address and cell number because they sent and called confirmation the day of our check-in to notify about Water Slide being closed due to renovation.

Nellie E Saloon -The Desert Bar

$$$$affordable
Bar
Quirky, rustic watering hole, built on the site of a former mining camp, open weekends Oct–Apr.
By far one of the best suggestions I have ever received from Internet strangers. Quirky. Great food. Love music. Completely off grid. The back story must be amazing. What a vision to do this in the middle of no where. Kudos! 10/10
Deb T — Google review
Went on the last day of the season friendly staff and live music and good food. Atmosphere spot on for an off-road bar. Music was good. Felt welcomed worth the drive. The trail drive was enjoyable to reach the bar. About a two out of ten on difficulty of drive beware roads after and during heavy rain.
Zak C — Google review
We took the hard route and stopped the mines on the way. A nice ride to get to the bar. Food was fantastic, really big portions and more than I could eat. Service was very friendly and helpful. Everyone there was nice to talk to, and spent the afternoon drinking and listening to the band. Had a great time and will visit again.
Greg K — Google review
8 miles off the paved road. Fun atmosphere with a band and cold drinks. Very cool set up.
Cindy S — Google review
One of the coolest bars I have been to! I would recommend riding in on a side by side if possible! Any type if vehicle can make it out to this amazing venue. Get here early and hang out. My son loved climbing the rocks! We could sit and watch him and the band at the same time! Bring cash!
TIM B — Google review
One of a kind place to visit. 5 mile of rough road going in and same road going out. We came prepared so it was all good. They are only open on weekends from 12p-6pm and they are closed on certain months. Food was delicious and the bar has plenty to drink. Lots of friendly people to talk to. The place is in the middle of the desert and it's very unique. You can ride your ATV around the place. They have live music which added a great atmosphere to enjoy a beer or two with your food. Highly recommended to visit.

Wow.... Long dirt road.... no food , no music, 5 domestic beers to choose from... and needs a good cleaning.
Tlzz T — Google review
What an adventure!! The road in is heavily washboarded and has some "fun" spots. Sure, you can do it in a car, but you'll wish you didn't. If you see a line behind you, please pull over so we can all pass. This place is huge with 2 bars (at least one full bar) plus 2 food stand options. We got there at noon, the parking lot was half full. Lines at every stand. Hard to find shaded seating with dogs but if it's just a few people you shouldn't have a problem! Live music is good, people were dancing! The views out here are gorgeous, the entire place is wonderful! Paid $24 for strawberry funnel cake and garlic fries. Was $7.50 for a champagne mimosa, I passed. We brought water (and you should, too!) What a party!

Emerald Canyon Golf Course

Golf course
Outdoor Activities
Well worth playing. I played this course approximately 20 years ago and came back to play it today and it did not disappoint. Firstly, can I say that everyone that we met was so friendly and pleased to help us. The green fees are very reasonable and the course was in superb condition. A lot of the layout weaves its way through canyons and makes many holes interesting and a challenge to play. I will hopefully get the opportunity to play here again and if you visit, I hope that the welcome is as friendly as what we received today.
Paul M — Google review
Most people don't know how good this place is. The coolest layout with great attention to conditions by a caring staff. When you have a community that loves their local course, this is what you get. You will never regret making the trip to this place.

Called and booked a tee time with Joseph let him know i was two plus hours away. He let me know when is best to come, rates, rate of play and anything i needed to know about the course. Day of my tee time Joseph happened to be there and was very informative of the course. He as well gave me a course guide that showed pictures of each hole with the layout and extremely accurate yardages. Course was very gorgeous and in great shape for time of year. Highly recommend this course. Thanks again Joseph for a great experience will 100% be back!

Four Middle Georgia boys flew to Las Vegas and spent a week playing in Nevada, Arizona and California. Today 2/14/23 we played back to back rounds at Emerald Canyon. The course is challenging with several blind drives and steep drop offs. The narrow throats make driving accuracy important. The winds today were 15-25mph sustained and gusts between 30-50 very frequently. It made it even more challenging, however the course was beautiful and lots of fun

Buckskin Mountain State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Full-service recreation & camping area located between 2 dams with hiking, dining & boating options.
We loved this place! In fact, we tried to get a third night, but it was booked. There is so much to do here, several hiking trails and the park offers horse shoes, corn hole, and other games that can be checked out. There's a lending library filled with books in case you want to immerse yourself in a good book while relaxing next to the Colorado River. The dog park is big and well maintained. The campsites are raked and kept clean.
C T — Google review
Very pretty area, great for tent or RV camping. If you're camping read the info on the site you choose as to avoid the water reclamation sites.
Laura O — Google review
Staying here was an excellent experience. It is easy to launch a kayak. The dog park area was large and had bags available. The store has some educational displays as well as a helpful and knowledgeable volunteer. This cactus garden makes for a nice stroll. The hiking trails were very clearly marked. The only negative is the awkwardly small doors in the shower area

The mountains in Tucson are absolutely stunning. The drive up was super easy, and once we got to the top, it felt like a completely different world so peaceful and refreshing. It was the perfect escape from the Tucson heat. The only downside was that most of the shops were closed due to the Fourth of July, but other than that, it was a really nice little getaway spot.

Beautiful state park with nice beaches. Lots of hiking trails. Close to Parker strip. Campground is nice. Some sites have FHU. Most are electric and water. Lots of space between sites. Boat ramp is closed! Nice dog park inside. Dump station has 2 sides

Awesome place. Downside, the boat ramp is inoperable; forcing a drive to another state park near by.

Great riverside camping. We stayed during memorial day weekend. So we got to see this place swing in full force. There are a large amount of "rustic camping" spots l, where you pull in and pay at any time, day or night. Many reserved sights that fill up fast, book a year in advance. We were able to stop here last minute and grab an open spot right at the river. And there were at least 7 other open spots. So plenty of room. Also you can back your trailer or rig up to the tent sight and set up the trailer in the parking space. What ever vehicle fits in your space you can use there. $35 a night for these spots, plus an extra $15 for additional vehicles at your spot. Reserved sights are around $50 a night? Pirates den is right around the river bend, and there are plenty of restaurants around that area if you don't want to cook Last but not least, they have full public bathrooms with showers. Multiple buildings along the riverfront. Cleaned daily. It's a little weird not having a full door but it's camping showers y'all know how it is. All in all, this is our new favorite spot. I highly recommend sitting at the riverside in the early hours of the morning, and watch the rooster tails come off the powerboats, the way the sun shines in to them is magic. A rainbow appears if the light hits them right. Especially with the cliff as the backdrop. Beautiful place.
Corey M — Google review
I have stayed here now 3 different times, I would normally give a 5 star review as it’s a quiet nice private area with great showers and water pressure but the cheap camping has not been cheap, 2 out of the 3 times I have had to rush my dog to the vet because they do have a offleash dog beach but for some reason people keep fishing off that beach when there is a human only beach with a better area for fishing, I have now had both of my dogs swallow a fishing hook due to the other campers not cleaning up there fishing line and leaving hooks all over the beach. If you’re a fisherman fishing on the dog beach please be respectful of other people who don’t fish and aren’t aware to be looking for these things. I’m lucky both my dogs have been fortunate and lived but has now cost me $$$$. Don’t take your dog to the beach there. It’s not worth the cost.

Rotary Community Park & Playgrounds is a sprawling green space located in Lake Havasu City, USA. It offers a wide range of amenities and recreational activities for visitors. The park features a swimming area, three playgrounds, beach volleyball courts, ball fields, bocce ball courts, and even a skate park. Situated along the shores of the Bridgewater Channel and Thompson Bay, it provides lush green spaces and inviting waters for relaxation and play.
This place is definitely a gem. I'm here on a Saturday afternoon. It's ninety degrees. The place is not real busy, but there's a lot going on. There's a lot of shade, so even with the higher temperature, it's just really nice. Lots of room for picnics and family gatherings.
Rob O — Google review
Nice local swimming area but takes forever to get deep enough to swim. If you want a lot of shallow area for the kids, this is it. Perfect sunset photo though! Didn’t like that people were fishing from the shore. Definitely wear shoes to protect your feet from hooks and watch out for people’s lines in the same place that you’re swimming. Seems inconsiderate to me. 🤷‍♀️ Decent covered (some shade) stone tables and benches for eating. Overall an easy access location to take a swim and picnic.
Dawn C — Google review
My family and I will be in Lake Havasu for a month and I’d figure we find a nice park to go to. I love how there are two different play areas, the lake is beautiful. There’s also a skate park right there and it’s all pretty shaded which is amazing. There’s this one piece of playground equipment that you spin on and it’s so easy to spin so my daughters would get super dizzy, but they would keep going back for more, it was hilarious. We stayed there for about two hours. It was nice.

Great place for a swim! There's a nice beach and the water was lovely. The rocks are kind of pointy when getting in, so water shoes would be recommended. There are washrooms available for changing, but no showers for rinsing off after. There's also a good playground near by for kids.
Claire W — Google review
Beautiful pet-free beach. You can have a lunch, kayak, have a beach day, walk around and see the shops. Plenty to do. We got inn-n-out and ate it for sunset at one of the pavilions. Wish we could have brought our dog but totally understand why its a pet free beach. It makes it enjoyable for all. Almost forgot, its also a bike-free zone. Mentioning it because there are signs but I still saw a teenager zooming on the sidewalk yelling people to move. There's always people who cant follow rules set for the safety of others, but just be alert with your kiddos. Amazing free beach when so much is not free in today's world.

Big park with a phenomenal state park, baseball field, about 6 beach volleyball courts. Big grassy area where they had a car show ththis weekend .
Tom C — Google review
This place is an absolute paradise! I have never seen water so clear, nor have I breathed fresher air. The view at sunset is something you would see in the movies, literally! To be perfectly honest, I'm sure Hollywood has had to pay millions of dollars to capture something as beautiful as this place on film. Perfect place for a family outing with the kids; skate park, some of the biggest and best playgrounds the kiddos will ever see, and clean, clear water swimming, absolute Paradise!!!!! Lastly, if you come anytime through the summer and spring, you just might get a chance to see the magical BUTTERFLY GARDEN within the park's trails.

London Bridge

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
London Bridge, originally built in the 12th century over the Thames River in London, was later replaced due to disrepair and traffic demands. In 1967, it was purchased by Robert McCulloch and transported to Lake Havasu City where it now spans the Bridgewater Channel. The bridge is a major attraction in the city, drawing visitors for walking tours and boat rides underneath its historic arches. Visitors can also observe remnants of the numbering system used during its dismantling and reconstruction.
Had a great time here. Bats everywhere right at dawn one of the nights. I guess it keeps the mosquito population down. The night before we were there at night and we didn't see bats or mosquitoes. We stayed at a place with the bridge view and it was worth it. We tried walking the bridge but cars were going scary fast so we took our kids off of it right away. There is no pedestrian wall to protect us. And it looked like someone had hit one of the bridge walls already so we didn't want to take a chance. It had temporary fence and cones around it. Another day we went to the nearby beach. We were going to stay for a couple hours and ended up staying in the water all day with the kids. Many nearby restrooms. My husband brought back Jimmy John's and drinks from the gas station. It was so relaxing. No loud musics from everyone. Only one homeless person that I noticed. We went on a Wednesday.
Bimbi L — Google review
It was my first time there. The photos of the London Bridge that I've seen make it look bigger then it actually is. But a nice spot for dining out with friends. And if you enjoy water sports its great for that. I don't know if I would make a special trip. If I would go again, I would stay overnight by the water so if I had a few drinks I wasn't driving.

A really cool and unexpected piece of history in the Arizona desert! I loved learning that this is the original London Bridge from the 1830s, brought all the way from England and rebuilt here in the 1970s. It’s such a unique place to visit - the setting is beautiful, especially with the water and mountains in the background. I visited at the end of April, and the weather was perfect - warm but not too hot, great for walking around without the intense summer heat. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

This should be listed as a 5 star resort because you can’t beat the service & the amenities. This hotel is listed in Havasu city but on 1 site they were listed in Needles. When we arrived Luci was so sweet & helpful getting us checked in. Throughout our stay she was always friendly &!helpful. When we went to the restaurant Tukukam in the hotel, our waitress was Paige & she was so friendly & helpful when asking questions. When the food was brought It was so delicious & my husband had the shrimp scampi which he absolutely loved it. The casino was so clean & security was so nice, when we went out to take a ferry to Lake Havasu a security guard came over to us & handed my husband his cell phone. He said that thank God that his phone has our picture on the screen because he was looking around & saw us standing waiting for the Ferry. 😂. To shorten up my review I want to list the few names of the wonderful employees that helped us in our wonderful stay. The wonderful Manager of the hotel is Mike The front desk is Luci, Gavin & didn’t get the name of the nice man on our last night, the great housekeeping was Petra, Erin & Tara & the waitress at the restaurant were Paige, Monica & Brenda. This hotel is so clean & I got the best sleep in years. We will definitely be back!!!!!

Their hotel is ran separately from the Casino. Their rooms are always very clean and their restaurant serves delicious food. It's not overpriced, already cooked perfectly as we've eaten there many times. Their Casino area is medium sized for this small resort. We have driven here through Needles, CA when we stayed for a few nights. It's a long drive through the bare desert. We enjoy taking the ferry from Lake Havasu near the London Bridge. The ride across the lake is so enjoyable. For a round trip ferry ride it's only $5! The employees at Havasu Landing are all super nice, professional and leaves a really good impression feeling we go there. To be honest, good service is often difficult to find in the service industry but we've always found this place is top notch with every aspect of this restort. Their outdoor pool and hot tub are wonderful too as you have a good view of the lake from the pool area. Take a day to go here for dinner and to play the slots. Our favorite way to visit is on the Havasu Landing Ferry! The sunsets from the top deck are amazing and the ferry runs on the hour until 2 am or so.

It's small but cozy. There were a lot of winners while I was there last. It wasn't me, but that's okay. I've hit a jackpot here before! Plus taken home hundreds multiple times. The beach is really nice too. The bar is sophisticated and they generally have entertainment on the weekends as well as contests to keep you on the edge of your seat!

We frequent this casino often. Payouts are skinny! Cashiers in cage are not helpful and offer slim to no customer service. We drop a lot of money and honestly they could care less. ATMs don't work often and forget about eating the food it is a 2 /10 at best.

The reason I gave them a one rating is their security. I have a licensed service dog for my medical condition that my dog will probably outlive me kind of issue. My dog is trained professionally for my condition. She will alert me with 3 barks and then push me to lay down if I don’t respond. She alerted me in our room and not even 10 minutes later I get a call from the front desk saying that security is saying my dog had barked. I said yes three barks as I am laying down trying to understand why they were calling me. Then, I go downstairs to get something to drink and am approached by two security officers a female and a male. She asked what service my dog provided I told her she is medical alert dog. All this while my dog is in a sit and down doing her job! Then she asked me what kind of medical condition do I have!! Are you serious? You literally just violated my ADA rights and made me feel harassed for having a medical condition that I have no control over. She told me I had to go to the desk and tell them what kind of alert my dog does. I have never been so upset and uncomfortable. I never go anywhere because I literally can’t. I was having a good week so I went for my boyfriends bass tournament to support him. That was not the end I told them to please leave me alone and not approach me anymore yet later that evening again two different security came up to me (as my dog is in her sit and down) and again asked what service she provides. I said medical and I am really getting tired of being harassed everytime I walk downstairs. Then one security said I worked in the ER blah blah blah and I said so you should know and see that clearly my dog is not a “emotional or fake service dog” he said well I know the laws. I will never come back and too bad the staff other than security were very nice. I forgot that o mention a woman comes in with a dog in her purse did they stop her or ask her what service her dog provides? Nope not a word was said to her. I am beyond angry, upset and frustrated. I feel like I want to go sleep in my car until we leave tomorrow.

Great little casino. We didn't stay at the hotel so I have no comment about it. They had a haunted house at the old casino for Halloween which was great and I definitely recommend. Boat service back and forth is not completely reliable. We got stuck here for over 2 hours because the boat was running slow and they canceled one of the trips back to Lake Havasu.
Jackmonious — Google review
Waited in the bar at a table for 10 minutes. Never acknowledged. Went up and sat at the bar. Bartender went back and got 2nd beers for people she had already served. Never looked in our direction, not "I'll be with you in a moment", nothing. We sat there for another 10 minutes and walked out.
Caitlin W — Google review
Stopped here quickly while we were out on the lake. We weren't overly impressed with the overall experience, and the atmosphere wasn't that great. It served its purpose by being close to the water, but that's about it.

Lake Havasu State Park, located in the beautiful desert oasis of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Spanning over 60 acres on the eastern shore of Lake Havasu, this park offers a wide range of recreational activities such as relaxing on the beach, engaging in water sports, and exploring scenic hiking trails.

Of course so many bugs The best view is at dusk Stars

We stayed in cabin #6 — a very nice spot that sleeps six comfortably. With the heat outside, both the lake and the cabin’s A/C were lifesavers. The beach gave us easy access to the water, and we were able to launch our kayak and paddle board right from there. We paddled all the way to the London Bridge, which took about two hours round trip. If you're into that kind of adventure, it’s definitely worth it. Fishing was great — lots of carp and striped bass around. The showers were clean, though I’d still recommend wearing flip-flops. The bathroom is cleaned every morning, which helps keep things fresh. Unfortunately, the neighboring family had two cabins and seemed to be a group of about 15. They were extremely loud, and their trash was scattered everywhere. Hopefully, you’ll have better luck with your neighbors. Also, we weren’t allowed to bring our dog, which was a real disappointment as well.

I’ll have to return to Lake Havasu because this trip was WAY too fast. It’s a massive Lake which connects directly to the Colorado River. It’s a beautiful body of water with several docks, lakeside beaches, and water crafts. The two little lighthouses that welcome you to Lake Havasu are adorable, I was able to snag a pic of them! I arrived via a jet boat tour coming from Laughlin and it was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend hoping on a boat and exploring the lake a bit!

Cabins are very nice. It does get a little crowded on the weekends with the other cabins being occupied. There is a fire pit/grill set up which is pretty neat. I highly recommend it! But do reserve in advance.

Great park! Like every AZ state park we have been to, it's clean, well maintained, with friendly and helpful rangers and volunteers. Lake Havasu's campground was especially nice, as the sites are VERY widely spaced apart. Another big plus is our site looked over a beach and the lake.
Steven D — Google review
What a nice park. The sites are spacious and not close to other campers. Staff was nice and very informative. Will be back.
Bruce T — Google review
We came to swim, but with all the boats and jet skis making waves, it's stirring up the lake bed and making the water gross. The "swimming area" is in between two boat launches, so it just reeks of gasoline. Great place for boats, not so much for swimmers.
Destiny F — Google review
The park itself is absolutely fine. But at the back of the park, where we were on pitch 36, you have a lot of noise from boats all day long and you're constantly in diesel fumes. It's not ideal for peace and quiet. No sewer at the pitch, but there is a dumpstation.

Pirate Cove Resort & Marina

Resort hotel
Nature & Parks
Themed riverside resort with 2-story cabins, plus a marina, a store & a kitschy eatery/bar.
The RV spots near the water is the way to go! The staff are friendly and helpful especially in situations dealing with a crazy Karen who pulled up with their RV demanding we move because we were supposedly in the wrong spot. The helpful staff politely explained to Karen how she was wrong and she continued to argue and tell everyone around her how everyone else was wrong; the typical expected Karen behavior you'd come to expect these days. Props to the staff for their patience with that person and couldn't be happier they ended up moving spots or hopefully leaving for everyone's sake. It worked out that we didn't have to be next to such an unhappy person. Other than a rocky start (dang Karen!), we all had a great time at the river. See you next year!!!

This is such a great place to have weekend get away. The RV spots on the beach is where we stayed. The restaurant and the bar is awesome and the party beach is blast. Our only complaint is that the zip line and other fun things were not open. The restaurant closes to early. The free shuttle back to the RV site is so helpful. I would definitely come stay here again.

Pirates cove is always a great time. We love Camping right on the colorado River with sandy beaches. Then heading down river to the rope swing and pulling the kids on the tube. We have a place we have dubbed. Maui's Island and the kids love it. Pack the ice chest, load up the boat and head on out to Pirates cove. Enjoy the Bar and restaurant, then head over to the general store and don't forget the fuel dock. If you don't like being right on the river there are rv sites next to the check in office.

We have been there a couple of times and though we’ve have had a good time both times, August is too hot to be there and October is a little too cool to enjoy the water. Next time we will be there in September to enjoy both the weather and water.

Its a nice place to stay. All the exterior wood around the place needs sanded and sealed, its looking rough from age. The cabins are a bit over priced and they dont offer weekly or monthly discounts. Both upstairs sinks were plugged and they fixed them the next day but one of them still had issues after they fixed it. The no food or drink allowed on the beach on the resort side of the marina and channel is bogus, especially when the restaurant is closed a lot of the time. Other than that everything in the kitchen is there from a blender to a roaster to pots pans cups plates ect. Beds are comfy too, no shortage of pillows. Its nice and quiet at night and well lit walking around. My stay was for a week for business and vacation. Also be prepared to drive 12miles north or east to find gas under $6 a gallon. Im not sure about the marina fuel price during my stay.

Tuesday, June 17 around 4:15 PM I enter the restaurant. I asked a young lady if she could be so kind to clean the table. She wasn’t happy about it. She gave me the dirtiest looking in her eyes. After that she gave Que to another two associates . A gentleman ans a tall slim young lady! When she picked up the table she didn’t bother wiping it down ! I asked her kidly if she could . Looked at me at have Que again to Man! He said to her I got you!! It could very well be my color .. BROWN! Latina and proud ! If you want to discriminate my culture, that’s perfectly fine then stop serving tacos and nachos when that is a Latin item! The great part about it is that I no longer have to be there or eat there however I will be posting it on Instagram and it’s unfortunate that we have people like this and do they know who picks their crops!!

If you’re in your camping era this place is perfect if you have toys, boats and jet skis. We take our camper to this place every year and love it they are little peninsulas but it literally feels like ur at the beach it’s awesome. We take our dog she loves it. Almost Every peninsula has at 4 sites which is cool you don’t share with many people the bathrooms are so clean. They have a place to buy ice cream and ice. Their grill on site was so delicious we loved the sweet teriyaki wings and everyone was nice. Our kids love this place highly recommend I only wish one day they attach outdoor showers or showers to these bathrooms lol my Rv shower is so small. Don’t get me wrong they have showers here but you have to drive to them it’s far. One last request pirates cove can you yall please please replace the cement where the Rv’s park I think they have all just about had it. One last thing that is really awesome about pirates cove is say if I have a trailer and my sister wants to come and doesn’t have a trailer she can rent on there you call them rent one tell them what spot ur on they go set it up it so cool. Thank you Pirates cove for the memories every year see you next year.

Never a dull moment on these trips. The campgrounds are immaculate. There are ample opportunities for a variety of adventures in both dirt and water. Family and pet friendly. All in all a nice clean property if you have any RV and water toys, otherwise stay home. Water is super cold and the one restaurant on the property has a bad DJ, average at best food and a bar with no beers on tap. Bring your own drinks and entertainment or find another spot.

One of the most underrated wilderness areas in the lower 48. The area bordered by I40, 95, the Colorado, and the northern bounds of Lake Havasu is a gem. Tumarion and Powell peaks tower above the transition Sonoran-Mojave biome, the Needles are dramatic and moody, the light is almost never unflattering, and the Colorado runs blue and cold at the bottom. There are petroglyphs, cliffs, arches, cacti, burro trails, canyons, washes, and every color of rock known to man. There are several access points and a UTV makes things easier, but even with a clunker 2wd you can blaze trails into the shimmering austere wasteland of an interior with some determination, water, and a wide brimmed hat. Could easily be a National Monument. Overlooked by car folk as there aren’t any cheap and easy vistas for them to take bad phone photos and phone the day in. Better than Lake Mead in my opinion and the crown jewel of the lower Colorado along with the Spirit Mountain Wilderness to the north.

Just stopped in for event. The buffet was nice. Love that this restaurant has great view of the beach.. Wait staff were on their toes. Gaming floor was nice.plenty of Parking. Driving through the entrance parking area it is necessary to take caution. Delivery trucks & residents are on that main road. Watch out. Over all this is a beautiful casino.

What a massive letdown this hotel was, especially after all the hype on TikTok making it sound like paradise. We were so excited, but it turned out to be a total dump. From the moment we walked in, the lobby reeked of musty old cigarettes, like no one's aired it out in years. The older lady at the front desk was pretty rude and dismissive, which didn't help set a good tone. We'd booked a king suite with a river view, but they shoved us into the very first room on the ground floor. Our "view"? Just concrete steps and a solid wall where people could peek right in all day long. We couldn't even crack the window without feeling exposed. The room itself was disgusting. The shower felt slimy underfoot, and half the curtain was this gross yellow stain that looked like pee. The shower head was busted too, barely any pressure from the top, but the bottom part blasted your feet like a power washer. Sleeping was a nightmare; the bed looked like it had been yanked off the wall (you could see the ripped drywall from the cleat system), and the frame was broken, so every little movement made it creak and shift loudly. The mattress was ancient, rock-hard, and lumpy as hell—I woke up every morning feeling like I'd been run over. No wonder they push those in-room massages; you'd need one just to recover from the bed. We were drawn here partly for the jet ski rentals, but surprise, they got booted during COVID and never came back. No one mentioned that online. The pools looked okay at first glance, but after a dip in the hot tub, my wife ended up with a nasty bacterial rash on her chest. We brushed it off initially, but that weird foam in the water? Turns out it's a sign of poor maintenance and built-up bacteria after a quick search. Not cool. The river beach area seemed promising from afar, but it was covered in sharp rocks—no way you could stroll barefoot without regretting it. Overall, skip this place unless you enjoy disappointment and discomfort. We won't be back.
Ronnie P — Google review
The rooms are dirty and outdated. We booked the beach tower which was supposed to be the "nicest" and it was a horrible experience. We did not get our room until 6:30pm even though we checked in at 11:00am and were told there were no other rooms except for the first floor with no view. The water was a light brown color in the toilets and had silt in them. There was zero water pressure and they left an empty tissue box with only one tissue fluffed up in it to make it look like we had some. The toilet paper roll was half used and we had no extra in the room. The carpet had giant brown stains everywhere and was very dirty looking. We wore socks to walk around the room and they were filthy at the end of our 3 day stay. The windows and ledge had sticky fingerprints on them from previous guests and the window A/C unit was so loud it shook the room when it turned on. It also hadn't been cleaned in YEARS! There was so much lint and dirt and some sort of white substance in it we were worried about breathing it in. When we complained they simply told us that they only had a room on the first floor and we could move if we wanted. But I booked a river view so they said they could have someone reclean in the morning. The young man who came up looked like he was about 16 years old. He was very nice but said he couldn't do anything about the carpets or A/C unit vents. They also had issues with power because of a storm and their elevators did not work. They told people they had to use the stairs. We were on the 6th floor and there was no way my 75 year old mother was going to climb them so we had to wait for the service elevator to be repaired. The city was packed because of a concert and a fight so we stayed our 3 days as planned but their customer service was awful and we will not be returning to this location.
Kimberly — Google review
Booked this place and spent the extra for a "Riverview view" room. Yeah... MAYBE if your on the very top floor. Our first room was on the second floor facing the pool. Within 5 mins we realized the toilet was broken. Not clogged... broken. Zero pressure. They moved us to the only other "river view king" room. 1st floor... we literally are looking at the back of the water slide in the pool area. Zero view. The floors are REALLY bad. Like... socks are a must. The bed was so hard we both woke up in pain. Everything was dusty and dirty in the room.. cleaning staff clearly wipes it down and changes the sheets.... not much else. Now that SAID... the staff was kind and helpful. Check in was quick. The grounds are lovely. I dont gamble so didnt go to the casino other than to get a coffee. Idk.... for the price we paid... it works. But I wouldn't stay here again. Not till they upgrade a little and put some care into their rooms and space.

This is not a boaters destination. Boat launch was not usable, the main reason we picked this location. Less then one foot of ramp in the water and a huge hole after that, which could cause severe damage to any trailer. Aprox. 22 miles to nearest recommended boat ramp. Pool water was not clear. We wont return. Its a secluded style resort. We Will stay in Laughlin next time and use Katherine's Landing.
Scotty S — Google review
This place was an absolute dump. DO NOT RECOMMEND! When you first enter the hotel all you can smell is the cigarette smell. We got to the room, looks decent at first glance but the floors felt damp and it was a musty smell. Trash and food left on the ground in the elevators. Kids running through the casino (they’re not supposed to be in that area) We booked 3 nights. After the first night we left the next morning. We went to bed about 11pm and the people in the room next to us were in a screaming match which required security to come and escort people from the room. I will say the employees were all kind and helpful. I was given a refund for the remainder of my stay. That’s why I’m giving 5 stars for service. But I assume people leave quite often as there was no fight about the refund.
Lynn G — Google review
Front desk women could use some customer service classes. Rude women. Rooms were ok. Ice machines don't work. So that is a bummer when it's hot outside. Housekeeping is very good. They come very quickly when you ask for something. The stars for service was for housekeeping. Otherwise I would have left 1.
Junebug13 — Google review
The pools here are awesome and spacious with fresh towels provided. The rooms are spacious and pretty clean, include a mini fridge and an ice machine nearby. The only flaw is that the water from the tub and tap came out brownish and smelled like river water. There's elevators for easy transfers between floors. The parking is ample and feels safe overall. The best asset of this hotel is the friendly and efficient staff. I definitely recommend and will come back!

Step into the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar, a historic Old West venue that has been transformed into an ice cream shop and American eatery. This establishment is located in a building with a rich history, rumored to be haunted, and was originally built in 1902 as the Durlin Hotel. After being rebuilt following a fire in 1924, it was renamed the Oatman Hotel in the 1960s.
Very cool establishment. Found a $1 from 1982. Food was really good. Little tough to find a table because my daughter and I didn’t want to occupy a four person or more table as they were crowded. We scored a two person table in the bar area. For as busy as it was, service was really quick. Definitely will go back. Food was really good also. Very juicy burger and burro ears were a good side.

We rode up to Oatman on motorcycles from Phoenix. We stopped in at the Oatman Hotel Restaurant and tried a couple of different breakfast meals. The burritos were flavorful and filling, packed with great taste and generous portions. I had the toast, bacon and potatoes, which were cooked just right – crispy bacon and well-seasoned potatoes that hit the spot. The atmosphere of the historic hotel adds so much character and makes the dining experience even better. Friendly service and hearty food make this a must-stop when in Oatman. Make sure you leave a dollar on the wall as it's a tradition you can't miss. FYI I did not stay at hotel so I cannot review. -

What a fun and unforgettable stop! The Oatman Hotel & Restaurant is a place you’ll never want to forget. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. But what really makes this place special is the ambience — it’s pure Old West charm from the moment you step inside. Between the historic walls, the dollar bills covering everything, and the lively cowboy atmosphere, it’s an experience you just have to see for yourself. Come hungry, come curious, and come get your cowboy on!

My friend and I visited midday on Thursday, 10/16/25, and it was busy. We ordered burgers with chips which were very good. The table next to us highly recommended the carrot cake and fudge saying they were freshly made on location. My friend had the carrot cake and I had the fudge. They were also very scrumptious. The place was very unique with defaced one dollar bills everywhere. Neat place to see!

We loved visiting the town of Oatman and it was at the top of my must-see towns, however the Oatman Hotel wasn't what I expected at all. The sign out front is rotting! Inside, the cheap Halloween decorations looked out of place. We decided to not eat there because there were flys everywhere. May I suggest fly strips? We had an ice cream cone instead and got to listen to dirty rap music coming from the open door of the kitchen while we tried to enjoy our ice cream. The profanity in the music was horrible! It ruined the experience of the hotel for us. The girl at the ice cream counter was nice, though I feel sorry that she has to be subjected to such trashy music in her workplace. What could be a beautiful nostalgic hotel is a hole in the wall and was a total disappointment. It could be so much better with a little ingenuity and elbow grease.

It's an amazing place to visit and hang out. We bellied up to the bar, and to my delight, Carrie, a sweetheart of a bartender and a total doll took care of us. Carrie helped guide us through our food order and drinks. The Wild Buffalo Burger with a side of Burro Ears is delicious! It's a great place for tasty food with a beautiful bartender to make you feel special. Highly recommend! Stop in, look around this amazing place, and definitely eat. Maybe you’ll get lucky and Carrie is working.

The shop offers an eclectic mix of items, from Route 66 memorabilia to whimsical burro-themed gifts. Visitors can find everything from T-shirts to handcrafted treasures and stunning pieces of Western art that embody the spirit of this old mining town.
I purchased the Cherry Butter in early Nov 2023 and it is so very very good. If I had realized just how good the quality of the butters were I would have purchased more than two. Perhaps I will have to order them now.

Loved our stop in Oatman & this place was a special stop with the motorcycle Museum! Along with the wild burros made it even better.

Ladies were rude, outside smoking and could care less about taking care of the visitors. Go to other places to spend your money

Interesting, quirky, quaint, historic, artsy, old west mining town from the early 1900s that got resurrected for the tourist trade. Lots of domestic donkeys gone wild wandering about. Worth a visit if in the general area and you have a few spare hours .

Great gifts. Some pretty cool antiques and off the wall stuff. Definitely recommend

Purchased a lawn ornament during our travels in our rv. Confirm with clerk it was the correct item without opening the box. Upon return home I opened the box to discover we had the wrong item. Upon contacting the store they provided a full refund . Very pleased

Pretty interesting place! I liked the motorcycle museum up stairs. Fun day with the jackasses roaming the street! Plus you can say you drive on Route 66!

As the name says cool place to stop off and have a look around and use the loo. Lots of T-shirts and gifts and a visitor book to sign. Really friendly chatty lady. Big route 66 sign on floor outside.

Friendly staff, rock building with the prettiest view, happy these historic places are being cared for. Stop in and look around at this unique place.

Cool Springs is worth the drive!! The trip here makes you take your time on the historic Route 66. It transports you!! The views are spectacular! The shop sits atop the edge of a ravine that overlooks a mountain scape that takes your breath away. The shop is everything! The perfect route 66 stop. It has all the necessities and all the tourist needs and wants. Plus, unique gifts, crystals, rocks, and super cool scrap metal art. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet the owners' sweet kitties, Junior was super cuddly and loved on us the whole time we were there. Again, it is worth the stop. It has a place in my heart forever. You will lose cell service until after you pass through Oatman (the next stop that you can not miss after cool Springs).

Big thanks to Geneva. Her heads up about the road ahead likely saved me from the giant patch of gravel, and her mention of the hill above the 90° kickback had breath taking views. Stop in and take a cool drink and get the heads up!

A great places to stop and it's famous from the movies. Inside is a ton of souvenirs everything you would want. If your looking for a route 66 pins stop here.

Our family is on vacation driving Route 66. We stopped along the way and found the original "Raditor Springs" with Mater, Lighting McQueen, etc. If your child lives the Cars movie series they will live this little stop! Must 👀! We ❤️ it!

I brought friends that were visiting from out-of-state they all left with a bag full of goodies and we're very excited with the stop....

This is a Great stop!! The gentleman working there was very knowledgeable about the area history and the gas station history. This is the actual location of Radiator Springs in the movie cars, so your kids will enjoy it too. There are pictures on the wall of the history. If you like rocks, thus is an awesome place to see and buy some amazing rocks and crystals. If you want some souvenirs, they have everything you could possibly want. There are some awesome mugs, jewelry, t-shirts and of course sticks & magnets! Check them out, you wont be disappointed!

Beautiful drive and views! Lots of tight curves though on drive and roads are not very wide so take it easy and recommend a car vs large vehicle.

Awesome drive. Beautiful scenery. Abandoned mines and old wrecked cars can be seen off the the side of the road. "Sitgreaves Pass is a historic, narrow, and winding road on Route 66 in Arizona's Black Mountains, known for its steep grades and scenic views. Named after Captain Lorenzo Sitgreaves, the pass has an elevation of about 3,550 feet and is considered one of the most challenging sections of the old highway, with steep switchbacks and sharp drop-offs. The route is often traveled by locals and tourists alike, and it is famous for the burros that roam near the town of Oatman."

This is a very windey section of road but it is manageable. We took our 32' class A motor home over it. very scenic but slow goin do sure

Wow! Lovely natural beauty. Not without perils 🫣

If I only do it once in my life time. It was the highlight of my ride to California. I remember this pass the most out of my 2400 mile Oneway ride. The Real Wild West is right in front of your face. (5600 total miles).

Definitely worth the detour, take it slow and easy. Seriously tight turns and steep drops. Well worth it for the view, interesting to see all the old cars that didn’t heed the speed warning.

Fantastic drive with incredible views. Take it easy and use the various pull offs to take photos. It is less scary to head up the road from Oatman than coming from I40. A top 10 drive in my book.
