This place is wonderful especially when it has snow. We went through the Dixie national Forest on the way to big basin national park. We have fun taking pictures of the snow and trees. It a great place to visit when there is snow and when there isn't any snow. We saw a couple of marmots while driving through the forest in the snow.

Simply stunning scenery before heading into Bryce Canyon. The true beauty here in Dixie National Forest/Red Canyon can only be experienced in person. What a joy to drive on Scenic Byway 12 through this amazing forest and canyon. Words cannot do it justice. It is a must see!
Star ( — Google review
Nice spot along the scenic byway 12. Stopped here for a short little rest and to take some photos. Absolutely beautiful spot just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park.
Maurice W — Google review
Breathtaking is the only word to describe it. I definitely recommend the visit. It's not a very long drive through it and not alot of pictures points. What I do suggest is cycling alongside on the cycle path or taking a walk. There is also a camp/RV site for those that are interested. Please don't skip this.
Hamza B — Google review
Gorgeous scenery and a great day trip from Vegas. Plentiful creeks and lakes to fish, tons of trees, fresh air and wild critters. There's an awesome lava field from old lava flows, several scenic areas with valleys and gorges... Animals you may see include deer, sheep, skunk, squirrel, ducks and various other birds... We just love getting out and enjoying nature, and this is an excellent way to do it.

We mapped and followed a very pretty off-road trail. The fall colors and cool weather made for a perfect day. Some of the trails and roads can get a little treacherous if it rains or snows.

Utah Shakespeare Festival, established in 1961 by theater professor Fred Adams, is a prominent event in Cedar City, with the aim of entertaining the numerous visitors to nearby national parks. The festival takes place annually and is renowned for its Shakespearean performances. Cedar City, home to around 35,444 people and Southern Utah University, also hosts the Utah Summer Games and offers various natural attractions for outdoor enthusiasts.
I have been going to this festival for years now, and it has given me the best productions I have ever seen. During 2 hours, they can make you laugh and cry. The actors are amazingly talented, and they never stop connecting with the audience in moving ways. This festival will always hold a special place in my heart.
Jordan H — Google review
Wonderful festival that we have made into a tradition of going to every year! The performances are amazing, costumes, sets, and the atmosphere is off the charts! If you love or don’t love Shakespeare but love the theater, this is the place for you!
Jared W — Google review
Just saw Macbeth this week and it was phenomenal! I highly recommend this show, and all the shows at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Professional actors, incredible set designs, beautiful costumes and the lighting and music were unforgettable. Thank you! We are so lucky to have such a high quality of theater in our community.
Morgan G — Google review
Too good to talk about! My wife and I went to the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City last week and it was phenomenal! We picked the perfect time to go too. I guess everyone else was gearing up for labor day and although there were good sized audiences at all of the plays we went to, there was ample parking, nearly NO traffic, super friendly locals and TONS of fun little shops within walking distance. I don't want to tell you about it because I don't want it to get super popular and busy... worth the trip... stay a week and see everything, but bring a rain poncho if you come this late.in the year to see an outdoor show.
Eric L — Google review
Cool sculpture garden with a variety of music playing. The different theater and art buildings are very cool as well.
Jonathan S — Google review
Great performances and friendly staff! Every seat was amazing. Definitely going back!
Selicia F — Google review
This is the best regional theater on the planet as far as I’m concerned. The acting is incredibly good and all the seminars are a wonderful bonus. Sets, costumes, music, green show- everything is world class.
Robin B — Google review
I have been coming to the festival for around five years. This season features the best Macbeth I have seen (and the second best Shakespeare show I've ever seen). The theatre is very professional in most areas, extremely enjoyable, and I will return. This makes it all the sadder to spend most of this review on their single fault. The house staff fail to meet professional standard specifically around handling walkers and other mobility devices. Not one year have I seen a consistent enforcement of policies around walkers in the main outdoor theatre. Some house staff will take your walker and others will not. On Thursday the staff did not say anything about removing walkers from those using them. On Friday a worker removed the walker and has no good answer to why it was being removed this night but not the other. Instead he insulted the work of the previous nights staff. I spoke to the house supervisor about how this lack of consistency has been the one frustration to our many happy visits and that the staff clearly lacked training on how to have a respectful discussion. I initially planned to leave it at this, but alas On Saturday night I attended the green show on the lawn and witnessed more inappropriate behavior from staff around walkers and disability. All of the seats were full so a woman with a limp has moved a chair down two flights of stairs to sit in while she watched the show. It took her a bit and she was clearly struggling to sit and stand. A staff member approached her mid show and took her chair away and back up the stairs, reseating her on a crowded bench. The same attendant then tried to move another man's walker. The man told him no multiple times but he was so insistent, despite the man citing other staff not remembering to return the walker as promised, the man eventually had to raise his voice and speak quite firmly to get him to leave. The walker was tucked between two benches, completely out of the walkway. I fail to see the need for staff to intervene in what is a very open space.I fail to see why staff cannot wait 15 minutes to move a chair, assuming the women wouldn't have replaced it herself. Both of these instances also distracted from the main show. It is imperative the theatre has a clear policy on mobility devices that is applied consistently night to night. It is imperative that staff are trained on how to have a respectful discussion while enforcing these policies. If the concern is fire safety then the festival has been out of code for several years and is failing its audience by not keeping them safe. If the concern is for actor safety then the festival has failed them. If the reason is not related to safety the festival has failed their disabled patrons by removing mobility aids for no good reason.

Cedar Breaks National Monument

Monument
Sights & Landmarks
Compact, scenic national park featuring unusual rock formations, hiking, camping & more.
Out of the way but what an amazing stop. It was 80 degrees and felt like 68 with the breeze. Nice new visitors center, and incredible views. We didn’t have time to do any hikes this time, but have done them in the past and they provide more awesome views of the canyon and you pass some ancient trees. Worth the stop and worth going out of the way to visit. Our national park pass was good to get us in, so no extra charge!
Larry H — Google review
Nice place for a quick stop to see Bryce canyon NP-like views. The spectra trail was nice, but they also have an observation deck area that will give you equally nice views of you don't have time to walk the trail. The gift shop has reasonably priced shirts and sweatshirts. You're required to have your state park pass to enter this location but no one checks so you can basically just walk the trail and see the observation deck without having to show your park pass at all. As long as you don't go into the visitor center, you're good. There is a clean bathroom at the parking lot.
Rachel B — Google review
WOW! Let me tell you, if you can make it up to cedars break I would highly recommend the drive. When you’re seeking peace this is the place to be. Just under a 35 minute drive from cedar city this look out is quite phenomenal. With a priceless view and onlookers from all over it’s truly breathtaking. Every time I’m in town I go to Cedars Break to catch the sunset and just sit in awe of such an amazing spectacle.
Aaron — Google review
Go up there if you can. Very similar to Bryce, but 2000 ft higher in elevation. The ride up there from Zion to Bryce (yes it is a detour) in late September with the aspens in bloom was spectacular. Even had to stop to allow some grazing sheep to cross. WELL WORTH A TRIP.
Mark M — Google review
We got it just in time to have a moment to talk to the Rangers in the visitor center. They cannot be kinder or more friendly and were very helpful. The park is open 24 hours however the visitor center is only open til five. Beautiful hikes, beautiful views for everybody to enjoy.
JEFFERY C — Google review
This place was so much more than what I expected to see here. I had no idea what I was driving to and walking towards. It was such an unassuming drive on the way to Bryce Canyon and it just pops out of nowhere. Have to say it was really cool and the most pleasant of surprises. Breathtaking.
Bronson A — Google review
This place is all inspiring. From the southern visitor Center just walk straight out and you are greeted with this massive landscape. You can see for miles and miles and the landscape is very unique. Take a moment and read the various information that's available at the visitor center as they are very helpful. The geological formation at this area is quite amazing. They are restrooms you can use and it's easily accessible from the parking lot. There are several viewpoints around this monument and I highly recommend you go to her the Northern viewpoint as it gives you a very different perspective. I think the best time to visit is doing sunrise and not sunset.
Tony W — Google review
This gorgeous park is such a hidden gem! Was never on our plans, never heard of it until a friend told me about it. SO glad we went! If you’re in the area of Zion and Bryce, this is a must do!!! It’s like a mini Grand Canyon! Visitors center and staff were great too…

Kolob Canyons, located in Zion National Park, is a stunning area featuring parallel red-rock box canyons that can be explored through hikes or a scenic 5-mile drive. The canyon's awe-inspiring rock formations have been named with divine inspiration by explorers and Mormons alike. Visitors are encouraged to experience the changing light at different viewpoints throughout the day and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the park.
During our trip to Zion National Park we planned a day to explore the Kolob Canyon area. It was much less busy than the other side of the park which allowed for full access to the areas and less busy hikes. We went in February and with all the snow, we would recommend spikes or snow-specific shoes. Prior to our hikes we went to the visitors center and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Abbey M — Google review
The views are breathtaking! We didnt realize that you could not view the entire park from this location. This park has 3 hiking trails and an over look. The park pass is valid for 7 days and lets you in at all the entrances. There was not a huge crowd which was nice and lots of parking. We are definitely glad we got to see this side.
XYZ C — Google review
Absolute beauty on the West side of Zion National Park. This is the quiet side of the park - absolutely worth a visit. Camping along La Verkin Creek is exquisite, fresh water readily available via two different springs - this area has everything to love for a day hike, a single night backpack, or as a stop along the Zion Traverse.
Sarah H — Google review
Kolb canyon is such a hidden treasure which is right off highway 15. The red canyons are so amazing to see. It is the back side of Zion. Hardly any people and traffic just views upon views.

The Narrows

Mentioned on
+274 other lists

The Narrows is a renowned and unique hiking experience in Zion Canyon, starting from the Temple of Sinawava. It's a popular trail that follows the river for over a dozen miles as the canyon walls narrow into a slot. While it can get crowded in spring and summer, its novelty and breathtaking scenery make it a must-visit in Zion. The hike begins with the Riverside Walk before transitioning to navigating rocks in the flowing river.
Probably the coolest hike I've ever done! The epic views, sloshing through the water. The canyon walls get closer together the farther you go. There's a 20 foot section where you go waist deep in water so you have to lift up your backpack if you don't want it to get soaked. Most of the time the water is about up to your knees or less. You occasionally hike on land but make no mistake you will be walking through water most of the time. I did see rock jumpers about halfway into the hike jumping off into the river on a deep spot they found. The farther you go the less people you'll see going that deep in. Once you get past a certain point about 3 mile's in it's absolutely magical. We went in July in the summer. Make sure you arrive super early so you have time to make it back before the last shuttle leaves. Bring water & snacks and take lots of epic pictures because not everybody gets to experience this beautiful creation!
The K — Google review
The Narrows felt like a scene after a typhoon, went the weekend before Labor Day and it was packed! The water wasn’t clear at all, but it was still super fun and thrilling. Definitely rent shoes and walking sticks—it’s slippery. Bring some snacks and water. If you’re visiting Zion, this is a must-do!
La L — Google review
Amazing and fun hike for the family!!! One of the best hikes I have done! The hike can be as long or as short as you like, as the real beauty is the path. Some people recommend special socks, water shoes, and hiking sticks. I do recommend a hiking stick, but I used an actual stick I found in the desert that worked great and wore quality water shoes. There was one place towards the beginning that we were in water chest deep, so do keep in mind that you can get really wet depending on how high the water currently is. We were there at the very end of June and the water was pretty cold, but our feet got used to it fast! There is also a little water fall towards the beginning of the river and fun side trails later on down the path. The shade covered us the whole hike, but we were on the trail by 8:00am and stayed for about 4 hours total. A must do if you are in Zion!!!
Kylee M — Google review
It was quite an adventure. Bring water and snacks. A stick is a must it really helps walking over rocks. We got there by 8am. Took the shuttle to stop 9. We walked about 1 mile to the start. We walked for about 4 miles in the narrows and turned around. We had couple young kids they were tired couldn't go any more. It took about 3 hours to go up and about 1 hour to come back down. Its a real adventure. $30 water shoes from Amazon worked really well. The water was very cold at first especially when it went up to your belly. But once that sun comes out and into the canyon it feels really good to rest and let the sun hit you and warm you up.
Nick H — Google review
Our Zion National Park visit centered on The Narrows, an unforgettable water hike. By 8:10 a.m., the Visitor Center parking was full, so we parked at Stop 2 and took the shuttle to Stop 9. Thanks to my wife’s planning, we rented water shoes and hiking sticks, making the four-hour trek more enjoyable. The towering canyon views were stunning, and the kids had a blast! At one deep section, the water reached my waist, and I helped them across—an exciting challenge. You need to experience The Narrows at least once in your life.
Ray L — Google review
The Narrows is the most unforgettable hike of my life. Imagine wading directly into the Virgin River, surrounded by thousand-foot canyon walls that rise dramatically on both sides. It’s not just a hike; it’s an adventure. Hot tip: bring hiking poles or at least a walking stick and shoes/boots and clothes you don’t mind getting soaked. First, getting there…you must either take the park shuttle or bike in, no private vehicles are allowed. It sounds like a pain, it isn’t, trust me. Ample parking is available near the visitors center near the shuttle stop. Then you’re on your way. Take it to the last stop, Temple of Sinawava then hike an easy paved trail to the “entry” aka the water. The river is your trail, and every step is both exhilarating and humbling. Sometimes the water is ankle-deep, other times it reaches your waist/chest and with every bend you discover new perspectives on this awe-inspiring canyon. The cool water, the echo of footsteps and laughter, the sheer scale of the rock walls, it’s a sensory experience unlike anything else. The beauty also is, you can go as far or as little as you want! My wife and I took this on and were absolutely blown away. It challenged us, yes, but it also rewarded us with memories we’ll never forget. Standing there, looking up at the towering cliffs and realizing how small you are; it’s a perspective shift you can’t get anywhere else. If you do one hike in Zion, make it The Narrows. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that leaves you both exhausted and exhilarated, and it will stay with you forever.
Leah B — Google review
What a hike, water is cold and deep in many areas. This place can get very packed especially in the beginning. Highly recommend a walking stick and good water shoes as the rocks will destroy your feet and ankles.
EddieTheBroker — Google review
I don't think words or photos can truly convey this experience. You just have to go and do it yourself. I will say that you don't really need the boots and neoprene socks that the outfitters outside the park have to rent. I think the only thing are either hiking poles or a sturdy hiking stick.

Hiking Trails
Located in Zion National Park, Angels Landing is a popular rock formation known for its breathtaking views of Zion Canyon. The trail to the top is steep and narrow, offering a unique experience for advanced hikers. With chain-supported sections and dizzying exposure, it provides an almost climbing-like adventure. For those with fear of heights or seeking an easier alternative, Observation Point below offers equally stunning views without the challenging ascent.
Billed as the most dangerous hike in USA , this is Zion’s iconic hike and also the most difficult to obtain a permit to access. It’s early Oct 2025 during the US Federal Govt shutdown and YES- NPS Rangers are still checking permits and don’t forget to bring photo ids as some who did. not bring ids had a difficult time with the rangers! The 8.7km hike is strenuous and requires climbing of 460m. The last km iwhich requires a permit checked at the entry point at Scouts Landing involves climbing narrow ridges while holding onto a chain. Please be patient and let oncoming traffic through! The views during the hike are spectacular. The bonus for the trip was the opportunity to see two California Condors soaring overhead. This is the largest bird in USA and was almost extinct with only 20 in the 1980s! They are now on the critically endangered having recovered to around 600 today. Bring water as it can be quite hot and enjoy the walk.

Great October hike at sunrise! We got our permit for the first time slot of the day, which was great. We took the first park shuttle of the day and were within the first few hikers of the day on the trail, so we didn't run into anyone on the way up Angels Landing. This hike was super fun to do. It is definitely impressive which gives a sense of pride when you complete it. I did not think it was too hard physically. It can definitely be scary in some areas though. I witnessed people turning back because it was too scary for them. I now get what the hype is all about. Get your permit and do the hike, you won't regret it.

Visiting Angels Landing was absolutely unforgettable! The views from the top were breathtaking, with incredible scenery in every direction. The hike itself was challenging but totally worth it once you reach the summit. The trail was well-maintained, and there were plenty of spots to stop and take photos. I’d recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. It’s one of those places that truly reminds you how beautiful nature can be!
Oliver W — Google review
The hike is challenging but so worth it. I came down backwards which made it so mush easier. View is gorgeous along the way. It’s not as scary as shown in the online videos when you actually get on the trail.
Amy G — Google review
Beautiful and Breathtaking hike! Be sure you are up for a challenge! There is a lot of high drop offs and your walking along edges. But it’s worth it! I am glad we went in October and not during peak season, it’s a small walking path for people in both directions and you have to wait for people to pass by before you can go.
Nathania S — Google review
Angel’s Landing is a stunning trail with some seriously out-of-this-world views. It’s not an easy hike, especially if you’re a beginner but totally worth it for the scenery. I went at the end of October, and even then it was hot and sunny, so I highly recommend starting early to beat the heat and the crowds. Bring lots of water. I didn’t go all the way to the peak with the chains (it gets pretty intense), but even stopping before that, the views were incredible. You don’t have to do the final stretch to enjoy the experience.
Daria K — Google review
This hike is not for the faint of heart or anyone with a terrible fear of heights, but also the best hike I have ever done. The views are gorgeous, the chains area gets your adrenaline going, and finishing the hike feels so rewarding. Definitely dangerous, so must be physically able! I wouldn’t ever recommend this to children or elderly. To do the chains you must have a permit. But anyone can do the hike before that and get an incredible view at Scout Lookout before that if they don’t mind switchbacks! We went in June and on the trail at 7:30 am to beat the heat and the crowd, which worked great for us as it started getting much more crowded at the end. I recommend starting as early as possible. Keep in mind you will have to take their bus shuttle to the hike entrance and parking at the entrance of the park is near impossible to find if you arrive theater in the day.

This trail was one of the toughest I've tackled in my 15 years of hiking. I'd still recommend it 100% to those who can handle the challenge. Just be sure to bring plenty of water - more than you think you'll need. And if you're afraid of heights, this trail might not be for you.

The Pa'rus Trail in Zion National Park is a 3.5-mile paved path that runs alongside the Virgin River, offering stunning views of iconic features like the West Temple and the Towers of the Virgin. This easy trail provides access to sandy beaches along the river, making it a great spot for some cooling off during hot summer days. The trail starts near the Visitor Center and ends at the Zion Nature Center, providing a leisurely walk through open fields with opportunities for stargazing.
This is the ONLY dog-friendly trail inside Zion. It’s a fairly short out-and-back, that ends at a shuttle stop. Pleasant, but little shade. Expect to step aside for cyclists at moments. The views of the park are stunning to the right and left throughout the walk. Not as majestic as the canyon interior, or the most iconic Zion views. However, we had our dog with us and were only stopping by for the morning, and as such were overjoyed by the presence of this trail.

One of our favorite trails in one of our favorite national parks! We visited Pa’rus Trail during our USA trip, and it was a highlight of our time in Zion. The trail is easy and very accessible—perfect for a relaxed walk that still offers stunning views. It took us around 45 minutes at a comfortable pace, and we were surrounded by Zion’s breathtaking landscape the whole way. Great for families, casual hikers, or anyone wanting to soak in the beauty without a strenuous climb.

This is another amazing hiking / running / biking trail near the entrance of Zion National Park. The views are stunning as you stroll down this 3 mile path. We saw tons of dogs, people on bikes, and wildlife along the way. This is one of the top trails to visit at Zion, and it's right next to the Watchman Trail as well, which is an amazing but very different hike too.

Pa’rus Trail is a great, easy way to take in Zion Canyon without a strenuous climb. The paved path runs about 3.5 miles round trip between the Visitor Center and Canyon Junction, following the Virgin River with big views of The Watchman, West Temple, and other canyon walls. There’s very little shade, and i went in the middle of the day in august when it was over 100 degrees fahrenheit out. But that’s my own fault lol. I knew i could handle it because it’s an easy hike but be careful in the summertime.
Jess R — Google review
The Pa’rus Trail was an easy walk with absolutely stunning views! It’s perfect for all levels — flat, peaceful, and surrounded by incredible scenery in every direction. I highly recommend going before sunset and catching the sunset from the top — it’s truly magical. Such an awesome and memorable experience!

This trail leads you on a paved path to the canyon entrance to the park. For the hardcore, you can take this trail into the canyon and beat the bus line on the busy days. On busy days the bus line can take 2 hours. Hiking this trail into the park and getting the bus at stop 4 is only an hour thirty. Just add 3 mils of hiking your day and get some amazing photo opportunities that are missed by most as the bus does not stop in these sections.
Adam C — Google review
May be the most disappointing walk in Zion National park. Very short, the view around the trail is not as gorgeous as the other Ute trail. And if you are there walking you will need to avoid bikes most of the time, we found the fact that bike and people are on the same path quite annoying!

Pioneer Park is a sprawling 52-acre park in St. George, offering a range of outdoor activities for visitors. The park features numerous hiking trails that lead to attractions such as the Boy Scout Cave, historical pioneer cabin location, and slot canyons. It's an ideal spot for family-friendly hikes and nature walks, with opportunities for birdwatching and observing the natural surroundings.
Pioneer Park was an absolute blast for our whole family. It’s like a natural playground made of red rock—no entrance fee, no crowds, just endless opportunities to climb, crawl, and explore. We spent the entire day there and honestly could’ve stayed even longer. The kids loved weaving through the little slot canyons, scrambling up the boulders, and discovering caves and nooks tucked into the rock formations. It’s the kind of place where you can just let your imagination (and your legs) run wild. One tip: bring plenty of water. There’s not much shade, and the sun can sneak up on you while you’re out exploring. We packed a lunch and found a great spot to sit and eat with a view, which made the day even better. Pioneer Park is low-key, free, and full of adventure—perfect for families looking to burn some energy and make some unforgettable memories. A must-visit if you're in the St. George area!

Loved this park! Passing through St George on our way back to Vegas, I found this park with a lovely desert botanical garden to stroll through. As well as the St George Narrows hike was stunning. Very slim slot canyon, tight fit.

Such a beautiful walk, great markings on the native plants. They were decorated for Halloween which made it even more fun. And it's free and the bathrooms are clean

This park is a great way to spend two or three hours on a sunny day. Lots of short trails, and a beautiful garden with plant species found locally as well as statewide. Parking is limited so on a weekend you might want to get there early. Highly recommended.

⭐️ Pioneer Park – St. George, Utah Amazing red-rock landscape with tons of unique formations and open space to explore. There’s plenty of parking on a first-come basis, and the views over St. George are absolutely stunning. It’s fun to climb, jump, and run around the rocks, and every corner looks like a different shade of red, orange, and brown. Great spot for photos, short hikes, and enjoying the desert scenery. Highly recommended for a quick stop or a full hour of exploring! 📸✨

This was unexpectedly better than It thought it would be. First off, the price was free. Free entry and free parking- can't beat that! We went on and extremely hot day, so make sure you bring water while you are exploring. Trust me, just do it. The Narrows is pretty neat. Its about 50 yards from one of the parking areas. We had no trouble finding it. We did have trouble finding the arch. We drove around and around, looking. You can not see it from the park road. Here's how we found it. 1st- park at the HIGHEST elevation parking lot area (the one that has a picnic bench) 2nd if you walk to the right of it down slightly in little valley to a sign you are going in the right direction. 3rd. Keep going past the sign another 50 yards or so and then look up to your left. You will see it. Its way smaller than you would expect. You are able to hike up there and get close, again bring water. We enjoyed this park and the ability to explore.

Nestled in the heart of St. George, Utah, the St. George Utah Temple stands as a magnificent testament to history and architecture. Completed in 1877, it is recognized as the oldest and largest standing temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Designed by architect Truman O. Angell, this stunning structure reaches an impressive height of 174 feet and features a foundation made from local volcanic rock along with sandstone walls sourced from nearby quarries.
The St. George Temple Christmas lights offer a peaceful and family-friendly holiday experience, perfect for those seeking simple seasonal beauty. When I visited, I was enchanted by the thousands of twinkling lights that transformed the grounds into a winter wonderland. The carefully arranged displays create a warm, inviting atmosphere, with paths lined in glowing colors that make for a wonderful evening stroll. What stood out to me was how inclusive and welcoming the event felt. Families, friends, and couples wandered through the grounds, taking pictures and enjoying the festive ambiance. It’s a place where you can slow down and appreciate the holiday season in a quiet, relaxed setting—perfect for those who love Christmas lights but prefer a more tranquil setting than bustling city displays. If you’re in St. George during the holidays, I highly recommend taking the time to see the lights. It’s a lovely way to spend an evening, whether you’re with loved ones or simply looking for a peaceful moment to soak in the season.

We stopped by the St. George Temple while passing through town on a road trip, and we’re so glad we did. The temple is even more beautiful in person than in the photos—its architecture and craftsmanship are truly impressive. It was a peaceful and inspiring place to stretch our legs and take in the work of generations past. A worthwhile stop if you’re driving through the area.
Jon J — Google review
I came here when a really good friend got married last year. St George is a very unique place. It's right in the middle of a rocky Arizona and mountainous Utah. The combination is like nothing else. The temple is also very attractive. It was one of the first temples ever built and you can feel the nostalgia at the temple.
Bryan L — Google review
Even if you're not a member, you can learn so much from the visitor center! This is my childhood Temple! I love the spirit that I feel here. Growing up before I could go inside, I still felt the peace. Now that I've been able to make promises with God and grow closer to him as well as help my ancestors do the same, I feel so much more connected to this house of the Lord!

A Beautiful LDS Temple and house of the Lord. Wander the grounds, enjoy it's beautiful peaceful feeling.
Patti W — Google review
Great experience with our family visiting this beautiful historic landmark. The visitor center next to the temple is perfect, if not of the LDS faith, to learn about the pioneers that settled and built this temple back in the mid 1800s.
Gens L — Google review
Insider POV: I was LDS for 37 years. When you become a Mormon, there are a lot of things they don't tell you about the temple: the veiled faces, chants, secret handshakes and passwords, weird outfits, and oaths. You have to give the church 10% of your money to go there- and if you don't give the church their $, you don't "get to be with your family forever." They hold your "forever family" hostage if you don't obey. They say they don't talk about it because it's "too sacred to speak of". And every week in church, they all talk about how great it is they are "gods chosen people". It's a beautiful building for sure... but if you think it sounds like it could be a cult... there are plenty of videos on YouTube that show what goes on in there and you can see for yourself.
Audrey T — Google review
A stunning Temple that is a testament of the dedicated and resilient pioneers in the late 1800's as well as a tribute to their incredible craftsmanship. I'm amazed how white the exterior is--truly beautiful. While entrance to the Temple itself is restricted to LDS faithful, there is a nice visitor's center with friendly tour guides ready to help.

Nestled on a 60-acre property with stunning views of hills and red mesas, Eureka Casino Resort in Mesquite offers a range of elegant rooms and suites to suit every guest. The resort boasts a modern casino featuring around 1,000 slot and digital poker machines, an expanded sportsbook, and lively table games like blackjack and roulette. For those seeking upscale gaming experiences, this luxurious resort provides various options for entertainment including fine dining and live performances.
I have visited the Eureka many times over the years and it is a great place. Hotel and Casino are wonderful to visit. Restaurants and Buffet are amazing, especially Gregory’s. The Casino floor has been updated and the Slot Staff are great, especially Jenn! She’s amazing and treats everyone with respect and is so much fun to interact with. Jenn is very friendly and is a very helpful employee. Make sure to visit with her if you visit the Casino!!

As year-round locals, we loved gambling at Eureka. We felt appreciated with our loyalty. The people are very friendly and it's a decent atmosphere, despite the 70's playlist being played non-stop! In the middle of the year, they decided to change their rewards program, to where Onyx level went from $400 a month to now $35 week. $150 e-cash to $50. They will give you a canned reply that "you have the chance to now get $1,000 a month with the new program." I can't even imagine the amount you have to spend to earn that. We already qualified for Oynx 2026 by June, so that tells you we spend a good chunk of money here. Congrats, Eureka, your greediness has pushed another high spending customer over to Casa and Virgin River. Gregory's also seems to have a lot less customers due to the e-cash being lowered, which means less tips for the employees. I hope your penny-pinching is worth it.

My wife and I went to Eureka Casino over the weekend and had a great time! The hotel was immaculate And the buffet had tons to pick from, being a total newb to gambling we were limited to the slots but that was okay! The staff was super helpful! Jen in the slots area was super attentive and helpful in showing us what to do and not letting us feel like we were just another pocket to dish out money. My wife and I really appreciate the awesome time Jen thank you for the help and great customer care!

If you go to eureka make sure you look for her she is the sweetest girl in there ! And will make sure your experience at the eureka is one of a kind

I have been coming to this casino for over 5 years. It has the best most friendly people ever. The slot attendants and VIP office staff are not just people but friends! Marsh and Juan have made us feel like family since the day we walked through the doors! We love the atmosphere and size of the casino! Will always come back!

I recently visited the Eureka Casino during the evening peak hours and had a good time. With being a little bit more busy, bartenders made drinks fast and efficiently. Cocktail Waitress Vanessa was quick and prompt while working serving drinks to customers from both sides of the bar. She was attentive throughout the night to ensure customers were taken care of. From slots department Teresa M and Juan are helpful and friendly. I have to say the casino floor was clean and well-maintained, with a wide selection of slot machines and table games. Akie a casino porter was nice and cleans very well. While exploring online i discovered the entertainment events coming soon and hope I will be able to experience.

Eureka is a great spot to stay, a great spot to play, and the friendliest casino in all of Mesquite! The dealers on the craps tables (Adan, Mike, and Jason) kept me laughing the whole time and the blackjack tables were lively and a great place to hang out. The room was very clean and very comfortable. I will definitely be staying here the next time I’m in town. 5 stars all around for this resort and casino!

Valley of Fire State Park

Nature & Parks
Valley of Fire State Park is a breathtaking destination that showcases the stunning beauty of the Southwest desert. Located just about 50 miles from the vibrant Fremont Street Experience, this park spans an impressive 40,000 acres filled with striking red Aztec sandstone formations and ancient petrified wood. As Nevada's first state park, established in 1935, it offers visitors a glimpse into its rich history through fascinating Native American petroglyphs found at Atlatl Rock.
Amazing! My initial thought was who wants to go look at rocks. We went to red rock canyon first and it was great. We came here the next day and it's even better. Much closer to it all here. They also have a military discount if you ask. If we make it back during cool weather we will probably try a few of the hikes. Just stopping at the various parking lots you have amazing views and photos can hardly capture the beauty. Must see in person, you will not regret it.
Randy L — Google review
What a magical place. We did two trails over the span of around 3 1/2 hours: the short but scenic Mouse’s Tank, and the iconic Fire Wave/Seven Wonders Loop. Both provided different experiences, views, and difficulty levels, but I feel like there still lots more to see!! Even just driving through the park, you get incredible and genuinely jaw-dropping views of the rock formations. Absolutely blew my expectations out of the park, and the new visitor center looks super cool too! The current visitor center has some cool displays and a nice little gift shop in the middle. I recommend getting here either very early or towards sunset, as there not a lot of shade and, even in cooler temps, the sun can be brutal. Please check this wonderful place out.
Miguel Á — Google review
Writing a “review” of the Valley of Fire feels a bit like rating the sun. Or giving three stars to gravity because it’s “a bit much sometimes.” The place doesn’t care what I think. It’s been here for 200 million years, unbothered by human opinion, Google reviews, or the existential unraveling of anyone who visits. And yet here I am, typing earnestly into the void about how it made me feel small in the most reassuring way. The Valley of Fire exists on a timescale so immense that our entire lives do not even register as a blink. While we are born, grow up, agonize over career choices, stress about emails, and die — these rocks just… exist. They are steadfast and exist outside our timeline, the changes measured in geological rather than biological time. And somehow that’s comforting. There’s something deeply soothing about knowing the universe isn’t keeping track of our daily panic. Standing among those rust-red cliffs and formations, I felt every melodramatic human emotion: awe, insignificance, reverence, and an odd sense of relief that my to-do list, my one sided feud with my neighbor (true story), my overthinking… none of it matters here. The Valley of Fire is the ultimate reality check wrapped in beauty: a place where the universe pats you on the head and says, “Sweetheart, relax, it’s really not that deep.” So yes, five stars. Would recommend. Bring water, snacks, and a healthy sense of humility
Adrienne W — Google review
Awesome park to visit, this place had a few stops with petroglyphs that were neat to see. The visitor center was cool and the staff were fun and helpful of cool thing to see in the park. Most of the hikes were easy and well marked. Family friendly even for littler kids to go on. Would recommend visiting!
Brandon B — Google review
Lots to do and beautiful hiking trails. Highly recommended! There are a variety of rock formations that you could spend hours enjoying the view and nature. As always, remember this is located in the middle of the desert, always bring more water than you need on your adventures. There is a visitor center in the park which offers small snacks and beverages, as well as souvenirs!
Chuck R — Google review
Beautiful place to explore with short little hikes. What they’ve changed in the last 2 years is requiring photo permits if you’re not in walking or hiking outfits. Also no longer can you park on the road and look at the views. Parking is limited in some popular hike trails. It’s hot during summer and don’t underestimate the heat.
Adventure F — Google review
Absolutely stunning! The red rock formations glow under the sun and change color throughout the day. Don’t miss short hikes like Fire Wave (1.5 mi), White Domes (1 mi loop), and Mouse’s Tank (0.7 mi). One of the most beautiful parks near Vegas — nature at its best! I would always skip Vegas and just go here!

I've been meaning to visit this state park for years. Very happy to have made the drive up from Vegas. Scenery is dramatic and beautiful. Also I was not expecting to see Bighorn Sheep! I plan to come back when I have more time to hike. Note, many trails are closed in summer.

Museum
The Neon Museum Las Vegas is an outdoor museum located in downtown Las Vegas, showcasing over 200 restored signs from the city's past. These iconic signs, some dating back to the 1930s, were once prominent features of famous landmarks and casinos. The museum offers guided tours seven days a week, providing visitors with a journey through the history of Las Vegas and its vibrant neon heritage.
This place is a must see when visiting Las Vegas! I do however recommend catching a ride as I walked and do not recommend it. Also, get your tickets online ahead of time. The tour gives the same excitement as walking through a carnival or fair with the glow of old neon and the flashing bulbs throughout the exhibit. They have QR codes on their plaques for extra information and additional packages you can add on for more excitement and information.
Joshua B — Google review
This was one of our favorite things we did on our Vegas trip. We bought tickets in advance. We chose a night tour so we could see the signs that were refurbished all lit up. We loved learning about all the history of the casinos and signs. The staff was there to answer any questions. They were eager to share stories. You could tell they loved their jobs. We learn so much!
Rachel — Google review
Looking for something different in Vegas? My wife and I chose the Neon Museum, and it did not disappoint! The best time to visit is after sunset—seeing all the signs lit up is absolutely magical. The museum is filled with classic neon signs from old Vegas, and the history behind each one really captures the spirit of the city. We had a blast exploring, taking photos, and even learning a few new things along the way. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or on your own, this place is a must-see. The staff is friendly, tickets are easy to grab online, and there are plenty of discounts available. Don’t miss it!

This is a must when looking for something of a more culturally-substantial nature to do while visiting Vegas. There is a lot of history to take in and you will get some of the best photos anywhere in Vegas here. The gift shop also has a ton of cool old school Vegas merch. It's much better than anybody the souvenir shops in Fremont or along the Strip. If you can, definitely go at night when most of the signs are lit up.
Kristopher T — Google review
The museum itself is amazing! The collection is awesome and fun to see, with the tour expanding on all the Las Vegas lore and history, it's definitely not something to be missed! Super fun to see restored and digitally enhanced versions of the signs. The recent changes to the museum set up are a little confusing, with three tickets per person, it makes checking in a little clunky. The guided tours running at the same time as solo viewing is also clumsy, allowing the free walking folks to enjoy the extra expense for free, or leaving them feeling awkward trying to pass the tour.
Jenna R — Google review
We had a great time walking around looking at the signs. We did the the History tour and Brilliant jackpot... both were amazing experiences, our tour guide was informative and fun. She accommodated me needing to walk slower and never rushed us. Highly recommend going.
Racheal S — Google review
The Neon Museum LV is a treasure trove of the history of Las Vegas! It's an amazing display of the iconic visuals that gave Vegas it's unique glitz and glamour! The staff and docents at the museum are absolutely the BEST I've encountered anywhere! They are knowledgeable, happy to share the knowledge and no doubt are dedicated to preserving these amazing works of art! The shame is that the space they're currently in is wholly inadequate to properly display and preserve these magnificent treasures!! Vegas residents, hotel owners, politicians, visitors, those with deep pockets, anyone with a stake in Vegas, needs to make financial contributions NOW to insure that these icons are properly restored, protected and given the permanent hooked they deserve!!
Jon M — Google review
We loved this museum! We got the small group guided tour, which was chock full of interesting stories and history about the city, the hotels, developers and performers, and really inspiring! Leah was our guide and completely blew us away with her knowledge, humor, and charm! Obviously, the signs are the star attraction. We opted for evening, but it would be interesting in the day as well. Take the tour and start your trip off right!

The Mob Museum, located in a 1930s neoclassical building in Downtown Las Vegas, offers an immersive experience delving into the city's historic ties to organized crime. The museum features interactive exhibits and multimedia displays that vividly tell the stories of the Mob's rise and law enforcement's response. Visitors can explore artifacts from infamous crimes, including weapons like Al Capone's Tommy gun and the revolver used in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre.
A Must-See in Vegas! The Mob Museum was an absolute highlight of our trip to Las Vegas. We love history and learning, so this was right up our alley. The exhibits not only dive into the fascinating history of organized crime but also give you a unique look at the behind-the-scenes story of Vegas itself. The artifacts are incredibly well kept and preserved, making the experience feel authentic and immersive. The staff was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the museum itself was spotless and very well maintained. There’s also a vast variety of things to see—from interactive exhibits to historical displays—so there’s truly something for everyone. If you enjoy history or just want to explore something beyond the casinos, this is a must-do in Las Vegas. Highly recommend!

The Mob Museum is located in a former Post Office that had a courthouse on the second floor. We had special guest, Frank Calabrese Jr, speak in the courtroom. ( fun fact: the courtroom was where Nicholas Cage was sentenced in Conair) In the basement level is a speakeasy. Lots of history and fun. Enjoyed the experience. Parking is in the side- you have to pay for it but it’s for 6 hours.

Loved this attraction. Was busier than I anticipated. Go in the late afternoon...if you want to actually view the exhibits. Vegas is NOT dead! Interesting exhibits. We purchased the additional attractions for the distillery tasting and Interactive shooting scenario. My advice with live scenario, shoot first ask questions later!! The distillery was great experience. Purchased a few travel sized bottles!!

I actually spent three hours here and I’m surprised that I spent so long in here because I didn’t expect this place to be so interesting. They had this mobster guy talking for 45 minutes. He also had the tasting downstairs of whiskey and it was good because they actually explained everything about the whiskey although I found it too long. That was also very informative as well. You have a cool speak easy downstairs make sure to go behind the painting because there’s a secret room there. make sure you check online for coupons. I got a 20% off coupon online.

The museum also has a distillery tasting room down in the basement. Enjoy the experience!

This is an extensive study on the life and adapting forms of organized crime in the U.S. The exhibits are heavy on reading with plenty of visual aids and media over the four floors of the building, including the basement. Next visit, I will definitely make time to add an experience to the admission and check out more of the exhibits. We were also fortunate to sit in as guest speaker Frank Calabrese Jr. shared stories that inspired his decision to turn and write a book.

A must see! So happy to have seen this place. The staff is amazing and I love that they have young and older staff ready to talk and educate you on all things MOB. Busy day, first time there and we loved it. Take your time, and listen to the videos as well. **I thought it is rad that they have sound buttons at the exhibits so if have trouble seeing the info, it plays it for you.

The Mob Museum - Learning Through Immersion…: some museums just display artifacts; others make you part of the story. The Mob Museum falls firmly into the latter category, and what an education it turned out to be. The firearms training was interesting- turns out we're better shots than we expected. The precision required, the focus, the technique, it all clicked. We dominated the target shooting portion, hitting marks that would make law enforcement proud. There's something deeply satisfying about discovering a skill you didn't know you had.But then came the live person interaction challenge, and that's where our Canadian politeness became our downfall. Apparently, when faced with simulated confrontational scenarios, our instinct to be reasonable and apologetic doesn't translate well to law enforcement tactics. We failed spectacularly, but honestly? That felt more authentic to who we are than being aggressive would have. The 'Connecting the Dots' exhibit was fascinating, seeing how organized crime networks spread across the entire continent, the sophistication of these operations. The attention to historical detail throughout is impressive, from the concealed purse revolver to the working moonshine distillery behind glass. The Underground speakeasy experience brought it all together. Sampling American influence bourbons while surrounded by Prohibition-era atmosphere, it’s educational drinking at its finest. Those cocktails weren't just refreshments; they were liquid history lessons. What struck me most was how the museum balances entertainment with genuine education. You leave understanding not just what happened, but why it mattered. And with a newfound respect for both marksmanship and the complexities of Canadian diplomacy in high-pressure situations.

Crazy! Crazy yet. Extremely entertaining. Slightly rough on the edges but it added to its unique qualities. There was a moment in the evening when it was dark outside. They had amazing light show on the ceiling which was great fun and the music was just spot on for myself and my partner. The live entertainment is worth the visit. Food beers all cool and Harley would recommend the cheap gamblings casinos which was also entertaining

We had a blast. So full of people, music and lights. It was great. Awesome place to people watch, we don't drink or gamble so we just walked the street and we're blown away by everything there is to see. My husband bought an amazing painting off of one of the street artists. It was just a lot of fun, especially if you come from small town like I do and don't get to see this type of thing often.

Definitely worth checking out, but I must warn you that many of the casinos and street stores here evoke a nostalgic feeling for a reason. They’re not like the newer part of Vegas or the heart of the strip, but if you’re seeking a glimpse into the past, perhaps 3040 years ago, this is the place to be. One must-try is the outdoor circuit bar, where they still perform flare bartending, a skill that’s hard to find elsewhere in Vegas. I believe there’s also zip-lining available, and part of the street is covered with an LED ceiling, complete with a stage for live music, which I think is part of the Atomic Saloon. Overall, it’s a must-visit, but it could be something entirely different. I would like to see it more devoted to live music and live entertainment . The street performers are the heart of the place, so make sure to support them.

Wow—what an unforgettable experience! Fremont Street Experience is pure Vegas magic! The lights, the music, the energy—everything here is absolutely electric. The canopy light show is breathtaking, and the live bands keep the vibe going all night long. I loved the mix of classic Vegas casinos and modern street entertainmen.it’s like stepping into the heart and history of the city all at once. Everywhere you look, there’s something exciting happening. If you want to feel the true spirit of Las Vegas, this is the place to be! Love from Canada 💕😘

The ambiance here is fantastic, feeling more accessible and less pretentious than some areas of the Strip. You'll find live bands playing on multiple stages, often featuring high-energy cover artists that keep the crowd dancing. The street is also famous for its incredibly diverse and often bizarre street performers (be aware that tipping is expected if you take photos). It's a non-stop carnival atmosphere.

I had come to the Fremont Street Experience for many years. My experience is getting better and better. I finally feel that Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas is better than the Strip. I think I will book a hotel in the Fremont Street area next time when I come to Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience is fun, with more activities and even livelier than any other area in Vegas. I enjoyed the nightlife here. I like the stores, bars, restaurants, and casinos here more.
Michael W — Google review
We came through on the Big Bus tour but we did not get to stop. From what we saw it will be an awesome adventure in the future. The place was bright and lively. We drove right down the middle and under the huge ceiling video screen that stretched what seemed to be as far as we could see.
Shawn J — Google review
Fremont Street is a must if you’re in Vegas for the first time. Cheap gambling, nonstop entertainment, and people-watching that deserves its own documentary. You will absolutely see something unforgettable — maybe even something you wish you hadn’t. I’m pretty sure I saw the best magic of my life here from about five feet away. Tip your street performers. They earn it. Go at night for the full effect, stick to the classic casinos for better odds, and keep your wallet close. If you want pure, unfiltered, chaotic Vegas energy, Fremont is it.

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is a renowned accommodation in Las Vegas that offers vibrant dining, entertainment, and a bustling casino. It stands out as one of the city's tallest buildings, soaring over 1,149 feet high with thrilling rides atop the tower providing breathtaking views of the Strip. Visitors can experience the exhilarating Top of the World revolving restaurant and the stylish 107 SkyLounge cocktail bar while taking in stunning 360-degree panoramas.
We had such a fun evening at The Strat last night! We started at the bar and played some video poker — our drinks were comped, and the cocktails were delicious. Matt, the bartender, was fantastic — super friendly and attentive. Then we headed up for dinner at Top of the World, and OMG… what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking, the food was exquisite, and the service was excellent. Truly one of those “wow” Vegas moments. After dinner, we stopped to get our player’s cards. The staff member helping us was kind and informative, offering great suggestions. We played a bit more video poker and tried a few slot machines. We didn’t walk out winners, but we had a wonderful time and felt entertained for hours. Overall, it was a lovely evening — great food, great drinks, and even better service. Highly recommend spending a night at The Strat!

The wifi that you pay $50/night for through the mandated resort fee is unusable. As in you literally can't even connect, and in the unlikely event you do, nothing loads. Not google maps, not email, not a website. Rooms are clean but missing a mini fridge. Management obviously discouraging having your own drinks. No ice that I know of. Carpet smells worn. Could be worse. Gym is great. Staff are pleasant. Parking garage is managed through a third party and $20/night. Views of the mountain are nice. Beds are fine but pretty springy. 3 stars is a bit generous but it could be worse. I've stayed at nicer comfort inns.

I am severely disappointed with the all around experience of the STRAT. Booked for 4 nights and we left after day 1! 1st room was not clean at all, the whole “C” tower smelt awful, room was very loud. Very dusty, sticky and left garbage from past users. Not what we expected at all for the “newly renovated” title. Due to the uncleanliness we got a 2nd room. This was much better, it was located in another tower with the same layout. However we got two body towels and no additional ones for hands and face. The sink water pressure was way better than the shower. Customer service on arrival and when we switched rooms was lovely! 2nd room was much better but this whole experience left an awful taste in our mouth. In addition to that we arrived later at night and this is not a place you or your family would want to walk around at all! Even our cab driver told us to not venture out far in the area. All restaurants in the casino were closed and only option was McDonalds (it is what it is) We paid double the price with loosing all our days booked at this hotel to go somewhere else. Not a location I would go near again or want to stay.

Hotel is conveniently located on the Las Vegas Blvd strip & offers thrilling rides, a comedy club, a casino & a rotating restaurant. I saw the comedy show & thought it was fun & hilarious. The rooms where quite spacious & very clean. I stayed in the older rooms but was told they had newly renovated & modernized rooms. I however had quite an unpleasant check in experience. Arrived just before 12 noon & was told I could only check in at 3pm because of the type of room I booked. Came back just before 3pm & reception staff told me I had to wait until it was after 3pm not minding that I was extremely tired from the wait. On both occasions, they tried to sell me the idea of upgrading to a different room at an extra cost. Got the feeling they were all about money & not focused on customer satisfaction/experience. I get it that it's Vegas but I got a much better customer experience from the other hotels I stayed at. On the positive side, the guys at the Bell Desk were courteous & understanding when I dropped off my luggage prior to check in.

This is an older hotel and gets some flack but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was large, clean and comfortable. There were several nice restaurants and the casino was cool (they got all of my money though) The highlight was going up the observation deck and catching sunset and happy hour. The drinks were good, the staff was friendly and the VIEW was AMAZING!
Diane P — Google review
Great staff and good attentiveness, place is a little smoky and stale, and winning at any bar is few and inbetween. You'll spend a lot of money at the bar for a single drink and are much better off playing somewhere in the floor. PT has great selections of food, but opens really late after 2pm, so if you want lunch at a reasonable hour, your kind of out of luck, unless you want to spend almost $10 for a single slice of pizza. The Top of the world restaurant is a little pricey, but the food is good and the atmosphere is excellent. Rides are a little expensive for the amount of time you get, but taking a look from the outside is worth the venture to check out the city.
Orlando G — Google review
This is our 1st time starting at the hotel. We selected a Boulevard suite, which is a decent size room. We did ask for a higher level but got a lower level instead that looks over the air conditioner units. We had breakfast every day at Strat cafe, the food portion was big and good. We also ate at PT’s Wings & Sports and 108 Eats. We enjoyed the Observation deck to see views of the Las Vegas valley. We didn’t realized that there was an outdoor deck until we were leaving, which if we knew we would have gone up before it started to rain. Overall we like it and maybe stay there in the future again.
Chloe — Google review
Always enjoyed staying at the Strat when we are in vegas. I think its a great location in between the strip & Fremont Street. The Deuce bus is easy to navigate & get to to either spot. Clean rooms, Great service. There is a McDonald's in the hotel, and a great pizza place. I'd pass on the Strat Cafe tho. Guests get a discount for the Top of The World viewing deck. $10/person instead of $30. The casino is good too! Be aware of the time share people that usually get ya across from the Starbucks. Great mountain views from rooms. North tower was nice. Lovely pool as well on the 8th floor.

Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a remarkable engineering marvel from the Depression era. It stands as one of America's Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders and offers tours and scenic views of the Colorado River and Lake Mead. The dam, completed ahead of schedule and under budget in 1936, was built by thousands of men enduring extreme conditions to create the massive 726ft-high structure. The iconic art-deco styled dam redefines the stark landscape and holds historical significance.
Love it here. The greatest engineering accomplishment period. Fun fact. First guy who died on this project had the same name as the last guy to die. They died on the same date - the year as well. The story of how they built this is just absolutely incredible. Need to buy tickets in advance to get down Area 51 like secured access road. Guided with Adventure Child

America is great. What a sight. What an accomplishment. It is always a must see. You can now drive across the dam again. Also can walk across it. Tours are first come first serve. So you get there and get in line and then get assigned a time. The view from the bridge is also spectacular.

Great place to visit, entrance and parking is free. However, DO NOT go into the visitor center because they have ticket ranges from 15 to 40 dollars for exhibitions which last five minutes. Don’t waste your money on that, just walk outside and enjoy it thete

An absolutely breathtaking engineering marvel! As an engineer, I was truly amazed by the incredible architecture and precision behind the Hoover Dam. The massive structure, the surrounding scenery, and the sheer scale of this monument are mind-blowing. It’s a perfect tribute to the brilliance of civil engineering and a symbol of human innovation. Just 40 minutes from Las Vegas, this place is a must-visit — the views, the backwaters, and the overall experience will leave you speechless. Don’t miss the chance to witness this masterpiece of engineering excellence!”

I had seen multiple pictures of this dam and thought it was big, but this thing is HUGE!!! We did the tour that took us down inside and that was very informative. It’s also very interesting looking around in the museum and seeing all things they used and how they built it. Definitely a cool place to visit!!

The Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, also known as Hoover Dam Bridge, is a remarkable engineering feat spanning the Colorado River between Arizona and Nevada. The four-lane highway bridge stretches 1,500 feet long and stands at an impressive height of 890 feet above the river. It boasts of the world's tallest concrete columns and holds the title for being the highest and longest arched concrete bridge in the Western Hemisphere.
This was our first stop after landing in Las Vegas. It's a walkway bridge with stunning views of Hoover Dam. I was amazed to walk through the bridge as it is built so high on the Hoover dam that one can easily have a breathtaking view of the Dam. When you are standing at the center of the bridge facing towards the Dam then on your right side is Arizona and on the left side is Nevada state. You have to climb some steps from the parking lot to the bridge. When I visited it was so windy that I was getting pushed by the wind. So, before visiting check the weather advisory for the winds. Plenty of parking slots were available when I visited. They also have restrooms at the parking lot.

Don't look down. It would be a big fall. There can be gust of winds. It's a big climb to get to the bridge. Honestly pretty cool bridge. It can be quite hot up there. Bring water because you will need it on the hike.

Amazing viewpoint connecting Nevada and Arizona! The bridge offers a breathtaking overlook of Hoover Dam and the Colorado River below. Short hike from the parking area to the viewpoint with clear signage. Windy up there, so hold onto your hat! Definitely worth the stop.

The Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, also known as the Hoover Dam Bypass, is located along US Highway 93 at the Arizona/Nevada state line. Its official address is 27953, 28689 Great Basin Highway in Boulder City, Nevada. This bridge spans the Colorado River after water passes by the Hoover Dam power generators and spillways. It was built to divert traffic that used to drive along the top of the Hoover Dam. There is a pedestrian path along the bridge and its wall does a pretty good job blocking the view of the Hoover Dam from vehicles driving the across the bridge. I have not walked across the bridge, but I understand that it provides a great vantage point to view the Hoover Dam. This arch bridge sits 890 feet (270 m) above the Colorado River. Like every bridge, it will flex and sway from traffic driving across the bridge as well as wind passing through The Black Canyon of the Colorado. This sway is intentional as a rigid structure would be damaged by the forces exerted upon it.
Gamera O — Google review
After our Hoover Dam tour, we moved our car to the free outdoor lot (Boulder Dam Bridge Parking) and walked the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. You can visit the bridge before or after the dam, but if you’re joining a tour, it’s best to do the tour first in the morning and save the bridge walk for later. This massive bridge connects Arizona and Nevada, built to ease traffic around the dam. It opened in 2010, is 1,905 ft long (579m), 890 ft high (270m), and is the 2nd tallest bridge in the U.S. and it even won a bridge design award in 2012. It’s named after: • Mike O’Callaghan, Governor of Nevada (1971–1979) • Pat Tillman, an NFL player who left his career to serve in the military and died in action in 2004. You can walk across the bridge to get amazing views of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. You might feel the bridge slightly sway( something to keep in mind if you’re afraid of heights). We visited in late March and it was super hot and dry (over 30°C / 90°F), so definitely bring a hat and water. The bridge isn’t long, but with no shade, it feels intense under the sun. If you have a free day in Vegas, this side trip is totally worth it!

Lion Habitat Ranch inc, located in Henderson, NV, is a popular sanctuary for lions and giraffes. The mission of the sanctuary is to protect the wild lion community and raise awareness about their social nature. Visitors can take guided tours and participate in feeding activities while strolling around the paved path to observe the giant cat families napping, playing, and lounging in their habitats. With 40 lions on an 8.
This was such a nice place to visit! The animals were well taken care of and it was clean. We saw lions, a tortoise, and birds. We actually saw a lion Nelson actually play with a cardboard box. Amazing just like our house cats love boxes!! But volunteer Jim was amazing and filled with so much information from the eggs of an emu to ostrich and we were able to touch and feel the difference of textures of the eggs. He also had a bag of tricks we saw and felt a lions whiskers to touching the texture of a lions main. So much more. They have plenty of shade and seating. It's a smaller place, but we would definitely recommend it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a great time at the Lion Habitat in Las Vegas, NV! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. There was no wait to get in, which made the experience even better. It’s perfect for families — my son absolutely loved seeing the lions up close and learning about their care. You can stop by for a quick visit or easily spend a couple of hours exploring and watching the animals. It’s a fun, educational, and memorable activity for all ages. Highly recommend adding this stop to your Vegas trip! 🦁💛

We love the lion habitat! I took my 1.5 and 3.5 year old and we had such a great time. You could tell the staff really wanted everyone to have a great time, and Jim was especially wonderful, teaching my girls new things and making sure we didn't miss a chance to watch a feeding or enrichment session. You get so close to the beautiful animals, and my kids especially loved Ringo the parrot who said "Hi". We will be back again soon. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a great place to visit!

Absolutely phenomenal! The animals, keepers, and volunteers were amazing! Huge shoutout to how funny and informative volunteer Jim was! (egg hole 🤣🤣🤣) Some pros: + I have never been able to see animals/lions this closely at a zoo. Being close at a safe distance really allows you to appreciate them for a very long time. + there were activities/enrichment to watch around the clock! I really enjoyed hoofing it from a Bird Chat to a lion snack to an emu painting and then to another lion snack and then a photo opp with Rock. + I learned SO MUCH! huge shoutout again to the keepers and volunteers who told us so much

First off, you are greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable staff which makes it very welcoming and inviting. A added bonus is, the month of your birthday you receive free admission. They have a nice gift shop with medium prices, but everything purchased directly helps the ranch with foods and supply for lions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our behind the scenes tour with Tyler. He provided lots of information about the individual animals and showed he has positive relationships with the beautiful animals. Be sure to ask any question you have to help you better understand the habitat. These animals were not captured in the wild.

Lion Habitat is a great place to see lions up close while they feed. It's a small zoo with lions, ostrich, and parrots, but there is no giraffe as it died a year ago. Overall, it's a nice place to visit and it's a non-profit organization. The people are nice and interactive. There's a small gift shop with reasonably priced items. Overall, it's a compact place worth visiting at least once.

This was such a neat experience. You can get so close to the majestic lions. The tortoises, emus and ostrich are also very cool to see! Volunteer Jim greeted us as soon as I walked in and was very present throughout our visit. Visitors can explore the area for a small fee and may even catch a glimpse of the guest rooms.
I don't know where to start, from the hospitality to the amazing town, then the mine itself. Make sure you have at least a few hours to stop in explore take photos, then you have to do the mine tour! There's so many cool and antique things to see it's crazy. I've never seen such a collection in one place. From inside the store where you have to stop and look in every direction, even the ceiling. The town itself has so many cool buildings and vehicles. I just can't say enough good things about this place. Take lots of water it's so hot. You definitely need to go here whether you're a photographer, a mine enthusiast or just like old and unique things. There's literally something here everyone will love. Im already looking forward to planning a return trip. GO ITS SO WORTH IT

Stop by the general store 1st! The owner will greet you, ask your intentions and give you important info about visiting. 😉 Worth the drive to see the history here; eclectic and somewhat ominous really. Drive 5 miles further to beautiful Lake Mead.

Well worth the visit, acres of collectibles, mine tours, wedding venue etc. If you are into vintage this is a great spot. Owners love on site and are very friendly. Has been the site of numerous movies, music videos, photo shoots etc.

Absolutely loved visiting Nelson Ghost Town! It’s such a unique and fascinating place with so much history and character. Walking around felt like stepping back in time—old buildings, vintage cars, and tons of interesting antiques and photo spots everywhere. The staff was super friendly and shared great stories about the town’s past. It’s a photographer’s dream and a fun little adventure just outside Las Vegas. Highly recommend stopping by if you love hidden gems, quirky spots, and a glimpse of the Old West!

Nelson is a must see, especially for photographers. There are some unwritten rules. Please be sure to stop in and see the owners first, If its just to give them a tip, or pay for a day of photo shoots, it's the right thing to do. The owners a friendly amazing people who have done a lot to maintain the town and its artifacts. Take a tour of the mine when they offer it. It is worth every minute, and it is cooler underground.

Amazing venue for folks who love the 'Wild West's, classic motor vehicles and memorabilia, and ghost town 'eerie' places... This place has also featured in many Hollywood movies so for the film buffs out where, this place ticks all the boxes

Nelson Ghost Town is pure magic! ✨ Stepping in here feels like traveling back in time – rusted cars, abandoned buildings, and the haunting beauty of the Nevada desert. 🌵🏚️ Every corner screams adventure and makes you reach for your camera instantly. The Techatticup Mine tour? Mind-blowing! ⛏️ You can almost hear the echoes of miners from the 1800s – history comes alive here. Whether you’re chasing epic photos, history vibes, or just a wild, off-the-beaten-path adventure, Nelson Ghost Town delivers BIG TIME. Don’t just visit – experience it! 💛

Grand Canyon Caverns & Inn

Caverns & Caves
The Grand Canyon Caverns Grotto is an attraction located on Route 66 that offers accommodations in a motel, a house, and a suite situated 22 stories underground. Upon arrival, visitors will encounter the motel and to the left is the road leading to the caverns where they can purchase tickets for tours. The Grotto also features a restaurant to the left of a play area for children with picnic tables available. Additionally, guests have access to ghost walks with flashlights provided.
The Caverns are open! We had so much fun! It was nice and cool down in the cave. We took an elevator down and went on the longer tour. Incredible history, I’m excited to come back.

To be honest, having been to multiple spectacular caverns in several states, we were not expecting too much. We were pleasantly surprised by this experience. Easy walk with just a few slightly challenging up and down hills on the path. Entry and exit is by elevator. The guide was informative and friendly. A unique part was we did the combo and had lunch at the bottom, 200' down in the cavern. Bison burgers were great especially with having to bring everything down from the restaurant up top. They did make a mistake on my meal, but corrected it within minutes, which is great considering someone had to get it from the restaurant at ground level! Some interesting facts about this dry, dead cave were shared AND there is a 'hotel room' at the bottom that you can book for the night. It is in a large cavern, with two queen beds, tv, dvd movies, and even a turntable for music. Booked up a YEAR in advance!! There is even Room Service!

The Grand Canyon Caverns Tour plus lunch was an unplanned stop during our visit to Arizona. We are so happy we stumbled upon the tour online, as we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. This was our first dry caverns tour, and we loved seeing the differences from our previous wet caverns tours. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the caverns, making for a fascinating history lesson. We concluded our visit with the add-on lunch option, which added another unique element to our vacation. Don't miss this tour!!

Excellent stop on old route 66, driving back to the caverns and taking the tour took about an hour and a half. I was expecting it to be a tourist trap, which it kinda is, but the caverns where bigger and more interesting than expected. The path in the cave is long maybe half a mile and does have a fair bit of up and down elevation gain. One woman in our group had a difficult time managing, so keep that in mind.

We stayed in the RV Park with oir 17 ft travel trailer for two nights. They have water and electric hook up. Dump station is behind the market at the entrance. The second night they had a veterans day cookout with a band and they roasted a pig and a live band to 10 p. Mostly locals showed up having a good time and nothing got out of control. This is the second time doing the cave tour and lunch combo! Its definitely a bucket list if you haven't done it before. Beware it dosent tell you in the website the "hike" in the standard tour can be stenious at many spots, especially for older people. It is paves the whole way but are some steep incline/decline at various points. Overall I love the experience here and would do it and stay again
Boondocking B — Google review
Great experience I would definitely recommend a day trip to the caverns. Make sure you do the longer tour(45) minutes, well worth it.
Micah S — Google review
This was a great experience! It's amazing to see the caverns and hear the history. All of the employees were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We did the full tour with the in the cavern lunch. The food was delicious! The only thing I would say is that some of the walking on the tour has stairs or steep hills to walk up, so it might not be doable for some people.
Kimberly K — Google review
What a surprise to have this place so close to the start of Havasupi trailhead. Nothing fancy, but did the trick and thoroughly enjoyed being able to pick up our passes the night before so we could get an early start in the morning. A small restaurant is located just a short way from the property and was great to have a warm meal before heading out for a four day hike. They offered a small continental breakfast For free starting at 4:00am which was so kind. Not a lot of amenities but beats camping out one more night. Definitely worth the price!

Run by the Delgadillo family, who played a key role in preserving and promoting the iconic highway, this shop offers a unique experience filled with history and Americana. Visitors can expect a warm welcome from the friendly owners and explore a wide range of USA-made souvenirs and memorabilia.
Great place to buy Rte 66 items and hear some amazing history. Hope to see you this year in May for the Fun Run. Thanks again!

Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is one of our favorite places to shop for souvenirs on Route 66. The store is run by the relatives of Angel Delgadillo. We had a long conversation with them about their father and the history of the store, Seligman, and his impact on Route 66. This is a fantastic store. it's a great place to look around, especially Angel's Barber Shop. There are great shirts, magnets, hats, etc. Later on that evening, we happened to meet Angel, who was out on his daily walks. We both had a fantastic conversation, and he showed me where the original alignment of Route 66 was, and we walked over to his pool hall. Thus was quite the experience, and I will always remember the kindness of his daughters and the history lesson from Angel.

What a gem this stop is! The history here is so fascinating to me and I could have listened to their stories all day. Great atmosphere, variety of fun gifts and souvenirs. And the decor, inside and out, was amazing! Took lots of pictures. My whole family loved it, especially the kids and all the Cars movie inspiration. Thank you!😊

Wow what an experience, so much history. This shop is very special & a must stop if your into old Route 66. It all starts here and how the last remainder of the hi way was saved and turned into a historic drive. Hector (hope that's right) shared so much history of Angel the Barber and how it all came together. Many of the items including shirts are USA made as well. Take the time and get off the main highway, get a map and take a drive down history lane. Were glad we did! The Pixar film Cars was based from this town.

The Arizona Route 66 Museum, located in the former Kingman Powerhouse museum and visitor center complex, offers a fascinating journey through the history of the iconic highway. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring vintage cars, dioramas, and a movie that narrates the story of Route 66 from its origins as an indigenous trade route to its heyday as a symbol of Main Street America in the 1950s.
Great little museum with lots of cars, pictures, antiques, an informative movie about Route 66 and the boom and bust that happened. It also has a very nice gift shop and well behaved dogs are welcome! I really enjoyed my time there.❤️

Lots to see and learn. Gift shop & staff is great. Lots of information on travelling Route 66. RV parking. Wonderful props & pictures from back in the day.
Marc — Google review
The museum was a really nice stop in Kingman, AZ to understand the origin and decline of Route 66. It only cost $10 per person and kids 12 and under are free. The video is lengthy and slightly dated but provides a wealth of information for each AZ town on Route 66. The electric car portion was a nice addition.
Lindsay C — Google review
This little museum is much more than meets the eye. Its a souvenir shop, an information center for tourism across the region, a historical museum, a science and tech museum - electric vehicles from the turn of the century until now (including several record setters). Tickets for this attraction also get you into the Mojave County museum across the street and a historical building tour - great value. It was amazing looking at first hand accounts of living out here in the Wild West, especially some of the folks that weren't quite ready for everything. You really felt for them! This was a great expereince - highly recommend!

Pretty cool little museum in Kingman. Very inexpensive with some really cool photos and artifacts. There's an electric car room in the museum. It was really fun to see the progression of electric cars and how early in our history that they were being invented. Great way to spend an afternoon!

We visited the museum when charging at the superchargers in the parking lot. Busy because Friday. It's a small but decent presentation. As far as we could tell, it was free to get in. There's a substantial souvenir store, where we bought our Arizona keepsake. There are 2 stories, with stairs and an elevator. Tip: the restroom on the second floor is less busy.

Great little stop. There is a couple pictures opportunities outside and around the Museum. The museum itself was a little small for the price but pretty good. The price did include the Mojave Museum but its closed on Mondays.

Nestled along the banks of the Colorado River, the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park & Trails is a delightful destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. This scenic area features interpretive signs that enhance your understanding of the local ecosystem, picnic tables perfect for a leisurely lunch, and access to an extensive network of trails. Spanning 10.
This is a nice walking path. Wide enough paths for all people. Riding bikes, walkers, runners, and wheelchair accessible. From the start to the end to the park is roughly 4 miles. There is no access to the damn. But still you can take some beautiful pics of it. Tables and park benches are also along the path. Places to rest and have a quick snack or even pack food for a lunch.
Robert H — Google review
Nice paved and dirt trail going along the Colorado river. There’s information placards and some old remnants of structures. You can also go across the top of the dam and the roads closed to vehicles. That’s where the AZ/NV state line is. You can do dirty stuff in two states. Not as fun as 4 corners, but no crowds watching.
Matt F — Google review
Very happy to have trails like this to ride with the family. Wide enough for cyclists and pedestrians. Bathrooms and plenty of parking at both trailheads, with lots of picnic areas and benches along the way.
Jessica S — Google review
You can't spend ALL your time at the casino. Take the Riverwalk north, cross the main road taking your life in your hands, and you'll have the best viewpoint at the new pedestrian bridge. It goes for miles! Note: no trailer/RV parking on north side. Go to the south side of bridge there is a larger lot not as busy.
Mrs ( — Google review
We stopped by the park for a short walk. It's a very nice park by the river. The water is crystal clear! Beautiful for walk, picnic and of course water sports fun!
Angela Z — Google review
Really awesome trail! Did the whole thing in a loop this morning. I was disappointed to discover a homeless encampment near the picnic shelters on the river on the west side as I was exploring with my dog. Not exactly ideal near kids playground and picnic shelters. The trail through the city side and over the bridge isn't very fun, if I were to do it again I might just do it in reverse back instead of going through the traffic side.
Justin E — Google review
This was a great walk About a 2 mile walk to the park directly across from the dam. Flat paved path asking the river as well as a dirt/gravel path for horses. Restrooms at both ends and water fountains and covered shade areas every mile or less. People fishing, walking, swimming, and enjoying the views.

Stopped by the South Beach on a Monday afternoon, it was empty, all areas looked clean and well taken care of/maintained. The water was ice cold and felt very peaceful since no one was around. Completely open parking space - we are definitely coming back!

Whether you're a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun diversion from the casino scene, this two-floor exhibit offers a nostalgic journey through automotive history.
5$ a person w/o riverside king clubs card. Nice selection of cars! Plus a free little museum with old slot machines downstairs. Give yourself enough time to see everything. (30-45+ minutes) (We came late and had to rush)

Don Laughlin was an avid car collector and anyone who appreciates classic cars will enjoy visiting this place. There are plenty of classics from the 50’s and 60’s and rides that go as far back as the early 1900’s. Some of the vehicles have considerable history as mentioned on the plaques. Everything in here was well organized and cared for. It was a nice, quiet area to get away from the flashing lights and noise of the casinos.

Free with the players card. Regularly five dollars. You can see Don Laughlin‘s personal Rolls-Royce ghost on display and several other cars, motorcycles and other things somewhere his others were donated or on loan a really great collection and a beautiful setting.

Phenomenal cars on display. I fancy myself a car person, but he had cars in there that I have never even heard of. Teared up a little reading the 911 Memorial Car. Fell in love all over again seeing the Corvette's from the 60's. Just so many beautiful American machines. The staff here were so great. They let you know that you are allowed to take plenty of pictures, the answer all questions you have, and we had a lot, lol

Harrah's Laughlin - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Harrah's Laughlin Hotel & Casino is a vibrant property offering entertainment, a casino, and eight dining options, along with a river beach for relaxation. The hotel is pet-friendly, providing accommodations for four-legged friends in specific rooms and offering specialized pet packages. Located in southern Nevada, the resort features traditional-style rooms with amenities such as flat-screen TVs and blackout curtains. While some visitors suggest updates are needed, the hotel is renowned for its luxury offerings and stunning views of the Colorado River.
This review is for my first Caesars rewards charter to Laughlin from Seattle. I booked a central king room and was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but all went above and beyond my expectations. Firstly, they have the charter service extremely dialed in for convenience. I was extremely impressed. I checked a bag for free in Seattle, and never touched it again until I found it waiting for me in my room when I was done gambling that evening. The shuttle driver was informative and pleasant. When the bus arrived, we got off and there was a gentleman handing out bottles of water and name-labeled envelopes with the map grounds, a players card, and a key to the room in which we were already checked in. No check-in lines? Count me in for that! I triple read the paperwork before getting in the elevator, because I couldn’t believe it was that streamlined. I was expecting a non-river room, but was surprised to find a gorgeous view of the landscape and river awaiting me. I gave it a quick look over after reading reviews to see if it had any issues. It’s true that there were only 2 small pillows on the king sized bed, but for me that was a non issue. I did find some hairs in the tub, a left behind toothbrush, and some floor crumbs. I do think they could definitely tighten up their cleaning game, as it is mentioned repetitively, and even as clean as my room was, some things had been missed. The outer window to the river was overdue a wash as well. I feel as though just a little more attention to detail would make a huge difference in reviews. I might have gotten lucky or had set my expectations low enough that I was truthfully ecstatic. Aside from those small missteps, the bed was comfortable and clean, the water pressure was good, no drainage or AC issues as others have experienced. In the central tower river-view room I had a coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, USB ports on the lamps, bath gel, a shampoo conditioner combo, a decent amount of towels. I actually never called housekeeping to restock anything during my 4 day stay. The ice machine worked and so did the vending machine. I was there over a weekend and didn’t have problems with the elevators in the Central tower. I was slightly disappointed to find that Harrah’s doesn’t have many older slots. I’m a bit of a nostalgic player and don’t gravitate toward the newer machines much. Many people would feel the opposite. Drink service was flowing nicely, but then again, I tip $2-3 per drink. I noticed plenty of $10 tables on a Friday night, which was a pleasant surprise. I had no luck on the slots the entire time, but such is gambling more often than not. They are a bit away from other casinos, but the free shuttle to the Trop was nice. I never utilized the pools, beach, or water taxis. Harrah’s doesn’t have a big selection of restaurants, but I went casual and had a sub at Pin Up, Birria Tacos from Guy’s (room service which came quickly and efficiently), and breakfast at the Beach Cafe. I thought the food was fairly priced. If I hadn’t been alone, I would have given the steakhouse a shot. I had to work some of the trip, so being allowed WiFi for 2 devices for free, I chose my laptop and tablet. My phone was slow at times without WiFi. Overall, I was super happy and actually booked another trip before I had even left. I’m going to be visiting again in 4 days and I hope I have a similar experience. I was 10th floor Central tower, King river-view and I have my fingers crossed I’ll be seeing that view again. It’s possible coming from a free charter trip my expectations and experience could be different than others, but this was a solid 4-5 stars for me. See you in a few days, Harrah’s!!

I gave it a 3 because of the employees that were helpful and went beyond. The check in started our stay and it was not good. We have a service animal and we always inform the desk of that. I had reserved a No Tower room because it was newly renovated. My husband checked in while I allowed my dog to potty. Side note-he is an alert type service dog and had injured his leg, requiring him to very limited walking per vet. He was in a stroller which would not have limited his ability to alert. When we got ro our room I realized this waa not the room I had reserved. It was a pet room overlooking a roof. I called and explained the situation and was given many excuses. After finally being changed we were moved to the correct room. BTW we had paid extra for a newly renovated room because of the reviews and they were spot on. All of Laughlin had a tired look. Harrahs has a private beach and although open, the pajamas were unavailable, you couldn't bring your own umbrellas and so many restrictions, geared to increase income for Harrahs that it wasn't worth going. It was early September and close 100 so, why the beach was basically unusable, I dont know. We used ro visit Laughlin regularly, loved Harrahs but will never go again.

This was our first Ceasers trip. It was our first time to Laughlin. First off I requested a nonsmoking room they put us in one and I went and they put us in a non smoking room. The room was very hot we had to turn the air down to 60 to even get it comfortable. Our bed sheets had holes in them. The shower was very dingy. The shower floor was so slick you had to be very careful or you would fall. Asked for housekeeping to clean our room and change our sheets and get trash and I asked three times and still never showed up. The lady that was checking out that day was very rude and rolled her eyes at us like we were a burden to check out. They have the option of checking out on your tv but it was not working. They have kisok not working to check out! Because the Tv was not working nor the kiosk to check out wasn’t working you felt the need to be rude and role your eyes at all of us and then just through our keys on the counter. There was no thank you, no saying thanks for staying with us we hope to see you again just downright terrible customer service. That last thing that really put the icing on the cake was we were told that our luggage would be picked up from our room at 2:00 and it would be at the airport when we got their to collect. Well ours did not show up. The man I politely asked about our luggage he told me to have a seat and chill! Very rude. Finally got our luggage after we called and raised cane because they weren’t here finally got there and we were the last ones to check in and just made it to our plain. We do not have a good experience to share! If we come back to Laughlin we will be staying somewhere else that’s for sure.

We had great weekend. The staff was awesome. I would recommend new beds I've been in property management over 15 years. I have to say housekeeping need to be trained a little better. Had to ask for tp, the first night. Then on Saturday when cleaned, left rubber on bathroom floor No water or coffee left. The bathroom floor is very slippery.
Cheryl R — Google review
The hotel is old and dirty. There was a smell of cigarettes in the casino. I bought air freshener for the room. I only stayed one night. The beds were comfortable also. And The staff was AMAZING 😍 They are so eager to help. The staff made the whole trip absolutely comfortable. This place would be wonderful if it was updated.
Connie C — Google review
My husband and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend with some family, it was not worth the price. The room was lack luster and very small. I completely agree with most reviews about the staff being rude. One bartender at the adult pool was especially rude and had the worst attitude to the point where we just left the pool. It was nice having the private beach for sure. The casino floor was big with a lot of slots, cocktail servers were nice but we will not stay here again when we come back.
Jessica G — Google review
The Rooms are old and run down. The beds are lumpy and hard. The pillows are flat and stiff. The hallways smell like Marijuana. The bartenders are rude. There areno good places to eat. The whole property is run down and needs a deep clean and fresh paint. And lastly the tables are minimum $10 always they close most of them early during the week and the machines don't pay out very well. The shuttle between Tropicana and Harrahs only runs every hour. It could easily run every 30 minutes. The water taxi is fun. The river and mountains are beautiful.
Kittykat — Google review
This resort is not conveniently located to anything else. I took the city bus to get around. You have to climb/ descend 135 stairs to get to the street level to catch the bus. The casino is always smokey even in the non- smoking section. Rooms are starting to show age and need updates in the bathroom.

Pretty interesting place! I liked the motorcycle museum up stairs. Fun day with the jackasses roaming the street! Plus you can say you drive on Route 66!

Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar

American restaurant
Step into the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar, a historic Old West venue that has been transformed into an ice cream shop and American eatery. This establishment is located in a building with a rich history, rumored to be haunted, and was originally built in 1902 as the Durlin Hotel. After being rebuilt following a fire in 1924, it was renamed the Oatman Hotel in the 1960s.
Very cool establishment. Found a $1 from 1982. Food was really good. Little tough to find a table because my daughter and I didn’t want to occupy a four person or more table as they were crowded. We scored a two person table in the bar area. For as busy as it was, service was really quick. Definitely will go back. Food was really good also. Very juicy burger and burro ears were a good side.

We rode up to Oatman on motorcycles from Phoenix. We stopped in at the Oatman Hotel Restaurant and tried a couple of different breakfast meals. The burritos were flavorful and filling, packed with great taste and generous portions. I had the toast, bacon and potatoes, which were cooked just right – crispy bacon and well-seasoned potatoes that hit the spot. The atmosphere of the historic hotel adds so much character and makes the dining experience even better. Friendly service and hearty food make this a must-stop when in Oatman. Make sure you leave a dollar on the wall as it's a tradition you can't miss. FYI I did not stay at hotel so I cannot review. -

What a fun and unforgettable stop! The Oatman Hotel & Restaurant is a place you’ll never want to forget. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. But what really makes this place special is the ambience — it’s pure Old West charm from the moment you step inside. Between the historic walls, the dollar bills covering everything, and the lively cowboy atmosphere, it’s an experience you just have to see for yourself. Come hungry, come curious, and come get your cowboy on!

This great little watering hole is in the cutest town on Route 66. The bartender was so attentive and friendly. All the customers are pretty friendly too. What a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!! (It's called a Hotel, but this is just a drinking/eating establishment)

My friend and I visited midday on Thursday, 10/16/25, and it was busy. We ordered burgers with chips which were very good. The table next to us highly recommended the carrot cake and fudge saying they were freshly made on location. My friend had the carrot cake and I had the fudge. They were also very scrumptious. The place was very unique with defaced one dollar bills everywhere. Neat place to see!

We loved visiting the town of Oatman and it was at the top of my must-see towns, however the Oatman Hotel wasn't what I expected at all. The sign out front is rotting! Inside, the cheap Halloween decorations looked out of place. We decided to not eat there because there were flys everywhere. May I suggest fly strips? We had an ice cream cone instead and got to listen to dirty rap music coming from the open door of the kitchen while we tried to enjoy our ice cream. The profanity in the music was horrible! It ruined the experience of the hotel for us. The girl at the ice cream counter was nice, though I feel sorry that she has to be subjected to such trashy music in her workplace. What could be a beautiful nostalgic hotel is a hole in the wall and was a total disappointment. It could be so much better with a little ingenuity and elbow grease.

The entire place is a wax museum with a pulse. The restaurant’s food is delicious, the service above and beyond, and the atmosphere mind blowing. Feeding the donkeys is a nice touch. I make sure to always bring my friends and family when they visit.

It's an amazing place to visit and hang out. We bellied up to the bar, and to my delight, Carrie, a sweetheart of a bartender and a total doll took care of us. Carrie helped guide us through our food order and drinks. The Wild Buffalo Burger with a side of Burro Ears is delicious! It's a great place for tasty food with a beautiful bartender to make you feel special. Highly recommend! Stop in, look around this amazing place, and definitely eat. Maybe you’ll get lucky and Carrie is working.
