Orchard
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in a picturesque setting, Grandad's Apples is a delightful family-run farm that offers an array of activities for all ages. With its charming pumpkin patch and sprawling apple orchard, visitors can immerse themselves in the joys of fall. The experience begins at the inviting country store where you can grab fresh cider donuts and coffee before heading to the scenic picnic area—perfect for snapping memorable photos while enjoying your treats.
We had a great time at **Grandad's Apples Farm**! Picking apples with the family was a fun experience, with plenty of varieties available and friendly staff to assist us. Afterward, we enjoyed the **Glacier**, an apple slushy topped with ice cream. It was refreshingly sweet and creamy—perfect for cooling down. Overall, Grandad's Apples Farm is a fantastic spot for families and anyone looking to enjoy a day outdoors. I highly recommend it for the apple-picking and the delicious Glacier treat!

Great experience! Loved the fried apple pie, apple cider donuts, and hot apple cider!! We had a lot of fun walking through the corn maze and picking out a pumpkin in the pumpkin field! Also loved that the play area for kids was free with so many great photos opportunities. General entry and parking were also free. Great fall activity!
Melissa S — Google review
Pick this place out of all the other orchards in the Hendersonville area and it did not disappoint. Everything was reasonably priced. Highly recommend the fried apple pie and the Apple turnover and the Apple donuts and really anything. Other thing they got that has Apple in it. Everything was really good. Corn maze was only $5. It was difficult. We didn't have a map which made it interesting but we made our way out. Their jams and jellies were really reasonably priced. I would like to see them. Have pepper jellies in the bigger jars those are hard to find but overall I give it really two thumbs up. We had a great time. There's plenty of stuff to do for kids and adults as well
Mike L — Google review
Grandads Apples has delicious apples, but is also an amazing place to visit and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery while sitting in oversized rocking chairs. Very friendly staff and ongoing events. Great place to take children, as they have a large play area. Pumpkins everywhere in the fall and a large field of pumpkins add a touch of nostalgia to your visit. Enjoy!
Brenda Z — Google review
First visit to Grandad’s Apples. There were many different varieties of apples to choose from. Then containers were full. The main entrance has a gift shop and bakery. The bakery has various apple pastries to choose from and an apple cider slushy. The view of the orchard from the back of the main building is beautiful. There is a pumpkin patch to choose a pumpkin of your choice. It also has a playground and picnic area. I will go back to this location again.
B L — Google review
This is definitely our new go-to orchard (and we have gone to a lot of them). There is a really great selection of apples and they even have a tasting spot with peeled apples so you can taste them before you buy. The kid's area is next level! It's a large fenced area with Port a potties just outside it. There js a sandbox with little excavators, basketball game, large playground, large bear and gorilla statues to climb on, spiderweb climber, tunnel, and pumpkins all over. You can sit at the picnic tables in the kid area and enjoy the view for hours. There is u-pick (call for availability) a corn maze, and apples canon. Plenty of parking and their bakery has all the seasonal stuff you could want!
Katherine B — Google review
Our favorite place to purchase apples and apple pie. We had a bakery and make pies that people would order months in advance for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We buy a Grandad's Apple Pie every time we go because they are so good that it's not worth the extra effort to make one of our own. Plus their price is fantastic for the quality of the pie. Our entire family loves this place. Be warned that lines on the weekends can get long but it's worth the wait.
Joe A — Google review
Beautiful place. The apples are delicious, lots of activities for the kids and loved the apples cannon. There is also a corn mazes that looked like a lot of fun. And don’t forget to grab a dozen apple donuts.

Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards

Mentioned on
10 lists
Vineyard
Food & Drink
Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards is a family-owned winery located in North Carolina's Henderson County, boasting the distinction of being the first commercial vineyards in the area. With a history spanning over nine generations, this picturesque vineyard offers visitors the chance to sample from its selection of fourteen grape varieties at their Tasting Room. Guests can savor their wines while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyard from both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Our first time visiting we stopped in before our New Years Eve party and this place did not disappoint. The wines are absolutely delicious, both the whites and the reds. The V was by far our favorite! The staff was friendly and engaging. They have a variety of cheeses, meats and crackers at very reasonable prices along with free plates, napkins and knives. It was to cold but there is an amazing outside seating area. We recommend it as a must do for your winery tours!
Douglas A — Google review
Great winery, great atmosphere outside close to the vineyards, very friendly staff. They had a food truck or bring your own. Sat and listened to some nice music. Much nicer place than some of the other big wineries close by
Janet S — Google review
The services and atmosphere was top notch. The lady that helped us was very fun and helpful in learning how each wine was made. You will not go wrong with ordering the flights because I enjoyed every single one of them.
Gloria — Google review
Nice experience sipping wine out on their patio on a weekend. There was even some nice live music being played by "3 Shades of Gray" It was PACKED with people, so it was hard to get service... They told us to sit at a table for table service, but then nobody was coming outside, so I ended up going in and ordering directly, and that did the trick. The wines were decent (we liked the Queen red blend), though a little more pricey and not quite as good as the ones we had at Biltmore. Worth a visit, if it's not too crowded!
Matthew G — Google review
Had the dry white sampler, super delicious wines and very cute little spot. We stopped on a Thursday just after opening but I would bet this place is super lively and fun on a weekend evening.
Erin R — Google review
Visited with some friends on Saturday, a very friendly server gave us menus and said she would return to take our order. We ordered food from the food truck and it was very good and we ate our food and no one ever came back to take our order. We watched people all around us be taken care of. We sat for about 30 minutes and decided to leave. I’m sure the wine was tasty but never got a chance to try it I guess they forgot about us. Venue was nice and they had live music but disappointed no one took our order.
Zeb C — Google review
Small and intimate vineyard with lovely vineyard views. Delicious wines and harmonic music for a mid-summer afternoon.
Donna A — Google review
My search for the dry red wine ended here. The atmosphere was incredible and the wines were amazing. When I pictured good red wines this is what I pictured. Plus the bottle prices were pretty reasonable. Definitely need to stop here if you're out on the weekend looking for wineries. This is a must stop on your list for sure

Nestled on the Crest of the Blue Ridge, Burntshirt Vineyards encompasses two vineyards on either side of the Eastern Continental Divide. The Hendersonville location boasts a winery, vineyards, daily tastings, and winery tours. It also offers accommodations and event venues. With an 80-year family tradition, Burntshirt Vineyards crafts unique high-quality wines available at their Hendersonville winery and Chimney Rock tasting room.
Great night out! We stopped at Burntshirt Vineyards and had a wonderful respite from our trip as well as a great time! We chose it for the outdoor seating, live music and wine flights- oh and they serve amazing food too! Beautiful scenery, indoor and outdoor seating, very laid back- guests were dressed in an array of clothing types- from sundresses to shorts and sweaters. Our waitress was a wealth of solid information about the wines and food. We chose their signature burger and fish and chips. Perfectly done. The table over got the roasted beet salad and I was tempted to ask if I could try one! Great choice and gamble. They also have a gift shop and a craft shed.

We wandered in on a Sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend. We got there just after opening. We first went into the tasting room to look around and Leslie gave me a sample of the Estate White wine. The interior was spacious, well decorated but not cluttered. The outdoor seating areas are lovely with nice views. We went over to the restaurant and we were greeted immediately and Angelique was kind enough to show us around when we inquired and then seated us at a comfortable table. My partner ordered the Reuben sandwich and I got the smash burger. Our meal was served hot and piping and promptly. Both were tasty. Angelique brought me samples of different wines. They were all good and I left with a bottle of the Estate White. We had a comfortable and relaxed dining experience and watched quite a number of people who came in. Many folks seemed to be local customers who appreciate a lightly upscale but casual environment. All seemed to be enjoying the wine. I was amused by the tea towel rack. There were some cute and funny ones. I like tea towels for myself and gifts to others because they don't take much space and they travel well. I will go back, and I'm saving the Estate White for my book club in two weeks!

We recently visited Burntshirt Vineyards for lunch while in town celebrating my birthday. The winery itself is very cute, and we enjoyed the live music, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. I did the red wine tasting—while the selection wasn’t really my style, I did particularly enjoy the Petit Verdot. For food, I ordered the Caesar salad, but unfortunately, the dressing tasted more like mayo than a classic Caesar, which I wasn’t a fan of. Others in my party ordered the fish sandwich, which they didn’t care for, and the fish and chips, which they said were just okay. Overall, while the setting was nice, the food and wine didn’t quite meet our expectations.
Diane S — Google review
Wonderful place, attentive staff. Food was amazing and the wines were quite good. We had Gigi as our server- such a pleasant, helpful, professional person. She is a gift! Had Brussels sprouts, goat cheese fritters, Cajun pasta, and pumpkin maple cheesecake- all of which were super! Would highly recommend!!!
Lynn S — Google review
Weather perfect to sit outside. Gigi waited on us, and was personable, professional and fun (loved the Halloween nails!). We split the beets appetizer and each got a sandwich....and each took home half the beets and half our sandwiches, which comes with fries. Lots of food for the price, good service, good wine and good atmosphere. Have lived here 10+ yrs, and first time here, BUT won't be the last. Updated to add 📸 of my leftover half BLT.
Margaret G — Google review
This place was great! Awesome selection of wine, and everything we tried food wise was absolutely delicious. Loved the brussel sprouts and fried goat cheese fritters especially. Our server was super sweet too.
Rey Y — Google review
Came here for my brother's 80th birthday party. We had an amazing experience. We were a party of about 25 people. We received excellent service from all of the staff. Servers were very attentive. There are several several small parties besides hours and I noticed they got excellent service as well. Had charcuterie, hot pasta, lots of things to choose from on the menu for the entree, chocolate eclairs and cannolis for dessert. Everything was excellent, presentation was excellent, ambiance was excellent. And of course the wine was excellent. We travel 6 hours to get here I don't know if we will be able to get back, but if we were ever in the area we would certainly go back.
Wayne D — Google review
Our visit to Burntshirt Vineyards was exceptional! The Tasting Room offered a warm, welcoming atmosphere and an impressive selection of wines. The vineyards tour was both informative and scenic, surrounded by stunning mountain views. We were lucky to have Dominic, the vintner, give us an in-depth educational tour. A special shoutout to Jennifer, our server at the restaurant, who made our experience unforgettable with her friendly service and great recommendations. Both the wine & food were great! I especially enjoyed Bat Cave & the white bean chicken chili and brussel sprouts. I had such a great time, I'm bring 19 friends back on 11/16 for lunch and tour!

Campbell's Historic Covered Bridge

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Bridge
Built in 1909, SC's sole remaining covered bridge spans Beaverdam Creek & is surrounded by parkland.
Great little side trip if you happen to be in the area. You can even have a picnic there. Nice and quite. Worth a 30 minute detour.
Tim S — Google review
A pleasant little park. The Covered Bridge is beautiful but as you can tell it is the main and only attraction to the park currently. If you're in the area it's worth stopping by, but not something I would make a special trip to visit.
Jonfit04 — Google review
Nice little price of history and park. Great place to take a walk and also enjoy a picnic. Holiday pictures would turn out amazing here.

Campbell’s Covered Bridge in Landrum, SC built in 1909, 35’x 12’ featuring diagonal timbers and vertical iron rods. There are a few trails and a picnic area. It was a beautiful day and saw lots of colors.
Donna L — Google review
Very cool old bridge in a nice park. Great place for lunch or to picnic. You can walk down to the waters edge to dip your feet on a warm day.
Kathy F — Google review
Really cool to see the last covered bridge in South Carolina and read the history behind it. There’s also a great little half mile loop trail. I was amazed at the actual architecture of this bridge. Definitely worth seeing.

Stopped right as it was closing. Was able to grab some photos. The bridge looks like it might not have much more life in it. Looks very crooked. Very picturesque.

DuPont State Recreational Forest

National forest
Nature & Parks
Massive nature preserve featuring mountains, waterfalls, lakes, seasonal hunting & hiking trails.
Just go here. As you drive along the very well paved winding mountain road through the forest, there are many turn off points which are well signed that lead to all manner of natural splendor. Many beautiful waterfalls, some of which you can Wade in the pools of, many beautiful Rocky cliffs, some of which you can jump off of, endless miles of crystal clear Rivers, that you can walk through, swim in, fish on etc. There are also many areas or you can pull off to have lunch, some with barbecues and picnic tables, some more primitive. There are busy places, solitary places and everything in between. There's miles and miles of biking and hiking trails. Whatever natural outdoor thrill you're looking for is very likely here, The vast majority of it is free, some attractions cost just a few bucks. For sure one of my favorite places to take my family.
Martin L — Google review
I wish I had better planned the trip so I could have spent more time here. I was in awe of this waterfall. I’ve never seen anything like it. The hike there felt like a magical scavenger hunt- I saw so many vibrant mushrooms that I had never seen before. I want to come back to NC soon just to camp here and explore the entire park. The path to the waterfall had gravel and was really smooth. We didn’t bring our pups but it’s absolutely dog friendly! Remember- please don’t toss your trash out there!<3
Kathleen S — Google review
The waterfalls at DuPont State Park are well worth the stop. Even though waterfalls are typically associated with elevation changes the falls we visited were fairly easily accessible. High Falls was definitely the highlight. An easy, slightly uphill, walk gives you a magnificent view. A more vigorous but doable trail takes you close to the base of the falls. Doing a little rock hopping and you can get within feet of base. Very enjoyable day and an unforgettable experience.
Steve C — Google review
Excellent. I was intending to see Hookers Falls, but got adventurous and hiked Triple Falls and High Falls too. What a treat. Triple Falls was so beautiful. Although venturing to all of the falls was intense it was completely worth it. It took me about four hours to see them which wasn't bad..The trails and maintained and the bathrooms are clean. If you love chasing waterfalls this is a must see.

DuPont State Recreational Forest is (12,400) acres tucked away in Henderson/Transylvania Counties, NC. The weather was perfect! Had a great time hiking through a few trails, exploring different sections of the forest, including the visitors center. The waterfalls are breathtaking. There are (5) waterfalls in the forest. Lots to see and do, hiking, hunting, fishing 🎣 cycling 🚴🏽‍♂️ and there’s an equestrian 🐴 trail. Very crowded on the days I was there. Will definitely circle back this fall. Grateful I had an opportunity to visit. The world is a beautiful place, if you know where to look. “Where the water falls, peace rises.” from Journey Era Fun Fact: The Last of the Mohicans and the Hunger Games were filmed at various locations around DuPont Forest, including Hooker Falls, High Falls, Bridle Falls, Triple Falls, and other portions of the Forest. #NeverStopExploring🥾 #GetOutAndPlay🌞 #ProtectPreserveEnjoy🪾 #NCStateForest🌳 #HappyPlaces❤️ 8/2025

The walk to the waterfall was about 0.8 miles from the parking lot and really easy. The trail was nice, and the view at the end was beautiful. The waterfall is huge and peaceful, and we enjoyed just sitting and taking it all in. Some people were walking on the rocks near the bottom, which made it even more fun to watch. Definitely worth the visit — great for all ages!

Best State Forrest hands down. Several beautiful waterfalls. User friendly trails for everyone including children. Pet friendly. Scenic lake and streams. A nice Visitor Center with bathrooms. Decent amount of parking. I urge you to get there early. Other scenic places nearby too. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Greenville Zoo

Mentioned on
71 lists
Zoo
Nestled in Cleveland Park at 150 Cleveland Park Drive, the Greenville Zoo is a modest yet captivating destination showcasing a diverse array of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians from around the globe. Established in 1960 with a mission to foster an appreciation for nature and wildlife while promoting conservation education, this zoo offers an assortment of habitats housing African lions, giraffes, Amur leopards, domestic animals, reptiles, frogs, and snakes.
A nice and interesting zoo with a relaxed atmosphere and very few crowds, which made the visit more enjoyable. Around 20% of the enclosures were empty, which was a bit disappointing, but there were still enough animals to make the visit worthwhile. It took me about an hour to walk through the entire zoo, and overall, I’m glad I came. A pleasant and peaceful way to spend some time.
Volodymyr B — Google review
Smaller zoo which makes it great for toddlers! We were able to walk through in less than 2 hours. We purchased our tickets ahead of time, walked right in, and had no problems! They allow you to bring in outside food and drink as well which is always helpful with kids. The biggest attraction is the giraffes. We were able to feed them right at 10am when the exhibit opened. Would definitely recommend if you have kids in the area!
Abbie C — Google review
It's a small downtown zoo, so you have to have perspective. You can walk the entire thing while taking your time at each enclosure in 90 minutes. So if you are expecting the NC zoo size, then it's quite different. The variety of animals is quite good and on a calm and pleasant day you got to see everyone active. Distance to every animal is fairly close so getting pictures or seeing their movement is really easy. The entire park was clean, well laid out, and simple to navigate. Pricing was typical for concessions and souvenirs, and gate price was lower than your really big zoos which was nice to see. I was very impressed with what you were able to experience while being wedged into a near downtown area. I will come back.
Gregory R — Google review
Greenville zoo is a fun place for a family outing! If you can, I suggest you buy tickets online as it saves you $2 per ticket and all you have to do when you come to the gate is give the confirmation number and you are all set! I went on a Thursday and it wasn't that busy at all! I went with a friend and our young kids and they loved it! Especially the Orangutans and the Monkeys. We only had 2.5 hours to spend there including having our packed lunch which took a half hour of that time. We would have easily spent 3 hours in the zoo part and probably another hour at the park outside the zoo.
Esther L — Google review
This is a small zoo. It's beautifully maintained. The animal habitats are well-designed and constructed. The exotic animals, birds, reptiles, and tortoises we saw looked in peak condition. The Barnyard exhibit is empty. It is going to be rebuilt. There was no litter or graffiti. It was our first visit. We definitely plan to visit again.
Bobbers G — Google review
Such a fun time! Was busy but not over crowded. Went at 11 AM and left around 1 PM. Got to visit multiple areas more than once. It took us about 45 minutes to get through the whole zoo. Short sweet and cute for a quick spur of the moment, need something to do on a Saturday.
Heather R — Google review
Fun day at the zoo with the kids and grands. Small zoo and some exhibits were closed. But still a cute zoo to visit. Very hot the day we went. They had misting stations around zoo, which helped cool things off.
Keila N — Google review
Great spot for a family outing! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy, which made it easy to enjoy. It’s the perfect size for a 2-hour visit—you can see everything without feeling rushed. Our 3-year-old especially loved feeding Miles the giraffe, which was definitely a highlight. A fun, laid-back experience for families with young kids.

Great visit with our grand children. They loved the shop, in particular the prospecting. Micah was brilliant with the children, explaining about each of the rocks they had found. When he didn't know the answer to their question he went to his book. Service above and beyond!! Highly recommended.

By far the best bang for your buck!! Tons of big gems, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great experience and beautiful stock all different gems and crystals. Kids and parents loved it ❤️

See all photos— I think I got some good ones! This was extremely cool. Nice setup, very organized. Could find everything. So much to look at, its amazing. Very reasonable prices. High quality pieces. All different sizes. I’ve recently getting into spirituality such as crystals, singing bowls, meditation, chakras, etc so I really appreciate stores like this. It was refreshing. My boyfriend and I spent about 30 minutes in here but if we weren’t absolutely starving and rushing to dinner it could’ve easily turned into 2 hours. He bought some things too. What I ended up buying is in the last pic. So content with my choices. 🤩 ***Only “complaint” I have isn’t about the store in specific, but just something I wanted to mention about how early everything closes in Brevard. Need to be weary of that if you’re staying around the area coming from out of town, you might not be able to get anything to eat that’s not fast food after 6pm. Don’t really understand it.

Please like/comment if you find this review useful! Visited the Gem Mine 4th of July weekend and we had a blast. In our group was 3, 7, 9, 14, and adults! We all enjoyed the experience. Prices are reasonable and the customer service was phenomenal! There was a ton of things to look at and unique souvenirs to purchase of all varies prices. I think they are needing to expand their store to allot miners a little more room without being so close to the merchandise, especially for young miner and parent interaction. You can share your bucket!

CO y and June were so helpful. They helped us soothe for gems we got the green giant $66. A 5 gallon bucket it was $70.40 with tax. We found lots of treasures. We got two geodes and they broke them open at the shop for us. We also purchased cute jewlery at the store. They have cards on the significance of the gem.

We loved it! The staff was friendly, and made sure we had a good time. The store was beautiful, plenty of beautiful rocks to choose from. Mining was fun, the bucket we purchased lasted a pretty good while and we all could share it. We found a lot of beautiful gems!

Crystal Mountain gem mine was such a wonderful experience! Liz and Cory were so kind and knowledgeable. Their passion was evident and it really brought the energy to our experience!! Our daughters were thrilled with the gem mining experience and the price was super affordable!! We got the 5 gallon bucket and we ended up with so many breathtaking gems that were all a great size! We splurged and got 3 of our gemstones crafted into necklaces. I can not wait to see what beautiful pieces they'll end up with! The store was so cute. It had the best collection of crystals and fossils I have seen in ages. It alone was worth the visit. Thank you again Liz, Cory and Crystal Mountain Gem mine for the great memories on our vacation!!

We went there to watch Hamilton’. The show itself was amazing but I also know the atmosphere of this concert hall made me feel even more magical. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely go there sometime soon again.

Not a bad seat in the house. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Great place to see anything you like from Greenville's amazing Symphony Orchestra to plays and concerts. The acoustics are excellent for sound transmission and quality. It's a lovely building too.

Received an in person tour from Lindsay a week before my event. Needed to see a better view of seat uptime before I purchased. Tour was very good. Lindsay was very kind and helpful. Seats were every comfortable. Aisle way is bigger than expected so no problems there. The balcony is in fact high as hell. Just like all the comments mentioned. If that doesn't matter to you... it is a great view. Hope this helps. You can also look up view from my seat online and it will help as well. Learned that from Lindsay.

Peace Center was very easy to find being in a great location. There are tons of employees to accommodate finding your way, whether it be to find the restrooms or even a cocktail. Memorabilia station was quick and organized. The show Back to the Future was great. This was a gift given to us and isn't our normal entertainment but enjoyed the show. It was even equipped with a REAL DeLoren, moving stages and of course lots of singing.

Falls Park on the Reedy is a stunning park located in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. It is often referred to as the "crown jewel" of the area and offers breathtaking views of the Reedy River Falls from the unique Liberty Bridge. The bridge, which is 345 feet long and 12 feet wide, provides an incredible vantage point for visitors to admire the natural beauty of the park.
Greenville is such a pretty town that offers a safe environment downtown with tons of entertainment and food options. This little park is so cute. While we were there, a man was placing some live music and so many young adults and older adults were having a blast- dancing to the music. It was nice to see such a small city come to life.

This was a very smart move the city made in creating this public environment for all to enjoy. They're lucky that they have this natural waterfall feature in their town. it's a great for the locals and a awesome place to stop as you travel. There's a parking garage nearby the charge $3 an hour we stayed for about 3 hours it was plenty of time to relax walk around grab something to eat and head on to our next adventure. The kids like going down to the water and walk on the cross the rocks. It was a very beautiful, and romantic we seen a couple get engaged there. Looking forward to our next visit there.

Amazed to see the waterfall inside the park & inside the city :) it was charming beautiful & clean. Entry is free. Fascinating to that park & surrounding areas were reclaimed & redeveloped - I can imagine it would have been such taunting task. Reedy riverside walk is awesome. Bridge adds to the beauty.

This park was so beautiful!! And it was within walking distance of our hotel (Embassy Suites). It was so peaceful here. We walked down the creek for about a mile. It was nice to see people enjoying such a beautiful green space together. There were walkers, joggers, and bikers all on the trail and people fishing in the creek. This is definitely a must visit if in the Greenville area.

It’s our first trip to Greenville and this downtown area is so impressive it makes you want to sell everything back home and move here!! So many dining options, then a great path to take an evening stroll, watch the waterfalls and the ducks. We loved it!

It’s truly a beautiful park with so much to see and well-maintained trails. You can even get into the water, and there are plenty of spots to relax or enjoy a picnic. If you’re visiting Greenville, I definitely recommend stopping by here. We parked a bit farther away, but parking was free for two hours.

What an outstanding place located right in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The river played a major role in the development of the city from its settlement days forward. The park and the immediate area pay homage to that. A magnificent curved bridge spans the river high above, allowing terrific views of the falls and the rocks that form the bed of the river. There was not much water flow the day we were there, October 18th, but my understanding is that when there is a lot of rain it is an incredible sight to see. There are a lot of activities, restaurants, points of interest, and things to see within walking distance of Falls Park, so find a parking spot and take it all in!

The historic Fluor Field in downtown Greenville is home to the Greenville Drive baseball team. The stadium has been designed following the classic design of Fenway Park and Wrigley Field, and accommodates more than 5,000 people.
I like going here and watching games. I’ve been here twice so far and I know I will go there many more times in the future. Stadium is size wise, yes, a lot smaller than Major League Baseball but other than that, everything is great. Their all of facilities are very new and clean, kids play area is great, good food with reasonable prices, have many events that all the generations can enjoy. Many nice different types of restaurants and shops near here also since it is in downtown area. Great place to enjoy!
Kate W — Google review
We love going to baseball games and enjoying them with friends. The venue is spacious and clean, and we can enjoy ice cream, drinks, and food inside the stadium. Everyone is very respectful and friendly. We especially like going to this stadium because it supports nonprofit organizations, such as the Hispanic American Women’s Association, which hosts the Hispanic Heritage Festival there to raise funds for scholarships for young students going to college. I believe it’s important to support businesses and establishments that give back to the community.

We are new to SC and I won tickets to the game. It was so nice!! All of the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. Staff w a s friendly. During the 7th inning stretch there was Tyler's Balancing Act which was so impressive and entertaining. The fireworks are the game were beautiful. Totally recommend for families visiting or locate residents.

Such a great stadium and family-friendly experience. They do not sell concessions in the stands, which I love. Plenty of bathrooms, concessions stands, information tables, trash and recycling bins, attendants. It's just very well executed. The between inning entertainment is also very well planned and engaging.

Fluor Field is a fun and welcoming place to watch a ball game. It’s unique as it includes the green monster in homage to its major league affiliate the Boston Red Sox. It’s great to see the stars of tomorrow in downtown Greenville. I highly recommend going on white claw Wednesday’s when they’re only 3 dollars. The fireworks after many of the home games are a great addition to cap off a fun night.

Absolutely stunning field! The facilities were spotless which is really difficult to do during an athletic event lol. We had seats on top of the Green Monster which is the green wall in the outfield. The view was incredible. We had an amazing view of the field and the surrounding buildings (a lot of work has obviously gone into this area). There were plenty of bars and restaurants surrounding the stadium so there was plenty to choose from. We found parking easily and affordably. I cannot say enough good things about the staff! I am disabled so going up and down steps is extremely difficult for me. The attendee escorted me to a restroom inside the team facilities so I wouldn't have to walk a long way. We chatted about minor league baseball and the different teams and fields which took away any awkwardness whatsoever. He then showed me where to meet him to get to an elevator after the game. He actually was waiting for me to make sure I got turned around correctly. While I was in the facilities I met one of the vice presidents and a couple of her interns. They were very down-to-earth and very friendly. We will definitely be making another trip up here! It is about a 2-hour ride but it was worth every single minute!

Tonight we went to our first game as SC residents. We were occasional Fenway Park fans, so we were excited to see a game that in in a stadium that was modeled after Fenway. Its much smaller and more affordable BUT my snapchat to friends back in NH fooled them. They thought we were in Boston! We loved the free parking and free trolley ride to the park and back to our car after the game. And, hats off to Greenville, SC police for posting at the parking lots for fan safety. That was awesome! Though we are Red Sox fans i must admit that we spent more time at Lowell Spinners games. We always found minors league MBL games to be more dynamic and way more affordable than Fenway. Boston is simply expensive. Period. So, we are delighted to find a Red Sox farm team close to our new home. BUT... and its a big one. The crowd is soooooo mellow. I think that the park tries to jazz things up, but the people could be a little more ummmm excited?? Also, just a suggestion for the owners of Fluor Field. I think you nailed it. Your park is truly a mini-Fenway and its wonderful, clean and your employees are fantastic. But... it cannot be a true replica of the real thing until you get a Dunks. I am not the biggest fan of Dunks, but I found myself wanting a Dunks iced coffee REAL BAD. Its part of the Fenway experience... along with the Sam Adams.. wink wink... power suggestion. Thank you Fluor Field and the Greenville Drive for a wonderful date night! We will be back... many many times.

For Valentines Day, my man had an entire day of surprises, and our first stop was City Scape Winery. We traveled about 2 hours to get there, and walking in was so cozy and inviting. Brittany greeted us as soon as we walked in and asked if we had reservations, which we did not and she informed us they were booked for seating, but we could sit at the bar inside or outside. We decided to take a seat at the bar. Although it was not on the menu, we asked if they did flights of wine. She informed us they did, and the little wine glasses from the flight were complementary to keep. I was excited. We picked 4 out, which we wrote on a little slip. Caleb was the one to pour our flight and was a delight He asked us if we needed anything else and gave us a little box to walk our flight glasses as we decided to go outside and enjoy the cool, beautiful sunny weather and scenery. Once we finished our flight we decided to go back to the bar and were greeted by Kara, we bought 2 full glasses of wine. As we finished up, we enjoyed 3 particular wines so much we bought bottles and 2 aerator toppers. The entire atmosphere was beautiful and the establishment was very clean. There were plenty of places to sit as we sipped. The employees were all very nice, welcoming, and attentive to any of our needs. Even though we were traveling through, we will most likely go back again. It's definitely a great first impression on us and a shout out to Brittany, Caleb, and Kara for taking such great care for us during our experience !

We got married at here in April and it was absolutely perfect. We did more of an elopement feel with a small ceremony and dinner. Tess was AMAZING to work with!!!!!!! She helped me with every detail from the schedule to the seating for the ceremony and seating for the dinner and catering set up and so much more. Every detail was perfect!! She made the process so simple. Tess helped set up everything, asked all the right questions, and truly made the day amazing. Other staff were so kind. Bebe fixed my hair right before I walked down the aisle!!!! I can’t say enough good things about our experience here. We also got engaged here the year prior and they custom made a label for my fiancé to propose!! We will be returning customers forever!!!

For our first winery experience me and my significant other really enjoyed it. We were greeted with a friendly staff. The wine tasting experience is a must with the amazing charcuterie board. My girlfriend really enjoyed herself and this actually made her birthday special with it both being our first winery experience.

Our group reserved a private event space here for our 30 year high school reunion. I worked with Tess to plan things prior to our arrival. She was amazing and so helpful during the planning process. When I arrived I was greeted by one of the owners who was so welcoming and she introduced me to Brittany and Caleb who were assigned to our party. The set up was beautiful. We had light and heavy hors d’oeuvres and with our event we were able to choose the 3 heavy options and we selected Chicken meatballs, Whipped Ricotta with Walnut Crostini, and baked brie. Everything was delicious! I asked Brittany to play 90’s R&B and it was the perfect backdrop to our class of 95 reunion. Caleb managed our tasting and he did an amazing job.!! We told him we liked more sweet wines and he changed some of our options that were on the tasting sheet. My favorite were raspberry, green apple and the Carolina peach muscadine. I highly recommend coming here for a group event. The vineyard was beautiful and shaded for a 5pm reservation in mid June.

We came to City Scape for bingo and have visited the winery several times before, usually with a great experience. The woman at the front counter was incredibly warm and welcoming, which started the night on a positive note. Once we sat at the bar, though, the service felt off compared to what we’re used to. Our bartender was friendly, but she would start talking to us and then quickly switch her attention to other guests mid-conversation. It happened several times and made us feel overlooked. There was also another young blonde employee who came across pretty short and made a “we’ll get to you when we get to you” type of comment that didn’t feel very welcoming. Overall, the vibe just wasn’t as warm or attentive as our previous visits. We still enjoy City Scape and will be back, but this particular visit didn’t meet the usual standard.

This place is amazing! Everything is Instagram worthy! The bar is so nice, great atmosphere with a scenery outside that is just lovely. My husband and I were here for the "sip and bites" event and there are no words to describe the experience. The decoration was dreamy. The sitting family stile was fun an interesting. The food was absolutely delicious and the pairing was perfect. They have the best wine on the region. the nicest staff ever, very single person we interacted with, beginning with the hostess, everyone at "sip and bites", the guys at the food truck... every single person here are the best of the best of the service industry. Please don't miss this experience and if you have a chance try their pinot grigio and the watermelon moscato.

Gorges State Park is a stunning natural wonder, featuring a rainforest that ascends to 2,000 feet and boasts waterfalls, trout streams, and rugged trails. The large visitor center offers an excellent starting point for exploration. Accommodation options include cozy cabins with electricity and comfortable sleeping arrangements. The park's Rainbow Falls trail leads to an impressive waterfall, though the difficulty of the trail may be underestimated by some sources.
What a great park full of adventure! There were plenty of trails that were pretty well maintained. The difficulty scale was also pretty accurate which I definitely find helpful. We took out two dogs and had no issues . I really enjoyed how dog friendly everyone was that we came across.

This state park is a must try! Location is close to Cashiers so you can head over there in a 20 minute drive. Cabin can sleep up to 6 with 4 bunk beds. Heat works great! Cabins 1-5 are directly across from bathrooms and shower. Rainbow Falls Trail is inside of the park and it’s worth every step. The camp host and her husband were helpful! So friendly! I highly recommend!

Awesome park to visit and camp! There was a moderate hike out to rainbow and turtle back falls, but they are totally worth it. Showers were very clean, and campsites were tidy when we arrived. I will definitely be coming back here in the future!

The hike to Rainbow Falls at Gorges State Park was clearly labeled strenuous but worth the amazing views. However, there are some places along the hike where I would suggest watching your step as there are no ropes or anything to hold onto. Overall the trails were prestine and the campgrounds were very well maintained. I would highly recommend!
Joseph L — Google review
I stayed at the campground and it was really nice. The campsites were close but somewhat secluded. It was nicely spread out with the where the cabins were in one area, tents another, and RVs in their area. The bathrooms were clean and they had showers. They had potable water spigots throughout the campgrounds. It was cool watching the bats fly are nightly and hearing the whip-or-wills calling. The campground host Connie and her dog were super helpful and engaging. She was the best campground host I’ve ever encountered. She made rounds checking on you, called you by name, and asked about your day. She definitely went above and beyond and is an asset to the park staff. The park was beautiful and well maintained. Nice trails and beautiful waterfalls. You can see some wildlife. Raymond Fisher pond is nice and peaceful, a great place to sit and meditate. I was lucky enough to see an elusive white squirrel in the park but missed a photo opportunity. The visit center and gift shop nice. Definitely worth a visit. Nice informative movie on the gorge and ecology. They also had picnic tables around the building and rocking chairs facing the mountains in the distance.

Whitewater Falls

Scenic spot
Nature & Parks
Whitewater Falls is a must-visit destination, boasting the title of the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. Situated in Jackson County within the Appalachians, it offers two overlooks and steep forest hiking trails for adventurers to explore. The area features Lake Glenville at 3,500 feet above sea level and Whitewater Falls at an impressive 411 feet.
Breathtaking views and a peaceful hike! Whitewater Falls is absolutely stunning — the waterfall is massive and powerful, and the views from the overlook are just beautiful. The trail to the main viewing platform is short, easy, and well-maintained, making it great for all ages. There are also a few stairs if you want to get a closer look from the lower platform. The area is clean, peaceful, and surrounded by gorgeous forest. It’s a perfect spot for photos, a quiet walk, or just soaking in nature. Highly recommend making the stop if you’re in the area — it’s one of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve seen in the Southeast!
Niki G — Google review
Quick and easy hike on a paved road. About .5 miles. Stairs down and up are optional to get closer to Whitewater falls. The sound and the views are remarkable. You’ll need to pay $3.00 (they accept cashless / Apple Pay) to park. Dog, stroller, kid and wheelchair friendly.
Amandaintheqc — Google review
Probably the best waterfall to visit in North Carolina. The is a slight uphill walk from your car for about a 1/10 of a mile to see the falls. If you want a better view from the platform, you’ll have to climb down the stairs, which makes it a moderate hike. This day we went to the base which I highly recommend not doing unless you have done a lot of off trail hiking before. You have to climb over huge boulders and the rocks are very very slippery!!! $3 parking fee
Kipp W — Google review
Amazing waterfall! Just a heads-up—there are a ton of stairs and the path down is pretty steep, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. We got caught in the rain while we were there, so unfortunately we didn’t make it all the way down to see the best part. Still, it’s a beautiful spot and totally worth the visit!
Leyla B — Google review
Short walk on a paved path to a staircase leading to a viewing platform. You can still see the falls from the end of the paved path, so if you can’t (or would rather not) take the stairs, you can still get a nice view. There is a $3.00 per car entrance fee, collected by kiosk or iron ranger.
Tracy H — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous waterfall!! Tallest east of the Mississippi River, shared by both North Carolina and South Carolina. It's 1/2 a mile walk to see it. There are 151 steps down to a platform to see the waterfall more centered and absolutely recommend going down the 151 steps but overall is 302 by coming back up. I felt a stadium affect at the bottom of the overlook. I went during the fall peak colors of the trees and it was an experience I will never forget! You don't have to go down the steps to capture the beauty of this waterfall. It's a fairly easy 1/2 a mile walk with a slight incline.
Efrain G — Google review
We took my foster pup hiking for the day. Great space for enrichment and training. Great pictures. Too many people to get a good picture of the falls and no good access to explore. Definitely had a great time.
Tabitha J — Google review
Whitewater Falls is one of those places that makes the drive worth it before you even step out of the car. Tucked near the point where North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia meet, it’s an easy three-hour trip from Atlanta that takes you through three states and lands you somewhere that feels a world away. The falls themselves? Majestic doesn’t even cut it. You can’t get right up to them. There are no trails down to the base. However, the overlook gives you a sweeping, unobstructed view that’s honestly stunning. It’s the kind of place that quiets you without asking. Just trees, rock, water, and air. The park is clean and well cared for. Three bucks per car (cash or card) and you’re in. There’s a calm here that’s hard to describe. No crowds. No noise. Just the sound of the falls in the distance and the rustle of the wind through the trees. For the more adventurous, there are hiking trails that snake off into the hills. For everyone else, the main viewing area is an easy walk and still offers plenty of payoff. This place doesn’t need much selling. It’s just beautiful, plain and simple. Peaceful, powerful, and easy to reach, exactly the kind of spot you wish you’d found sooner.

Excellent staff and product. Did a tasting. Great variety available. Staff super knowledgeable even putting my selections in a good order. Premix margs and bloody Marys available along with jellies, hot sauce, and BBQ sauce. Sadly lacking on minis in both the liquor, jellies, and other items. I had fun at our first Halloween Comedy and Cocktail night. Unfortunately the sound around us was so loud that we could barely hear the comedians. But the atmosphere was great, everybody was fun dressed up, the drinks have been great (only just a bit pricey). But overall we will come back.

This place is AWESOME! The people are great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend stopping by here. ❤

This was absolutely the highlight of our trip! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The moonshine is by far the best we’ve tried. We did the tasting and if I could I would give them 10 stars.

Bridal Veil Falls is a must-see spot in Highlands, offering a picturesque cascade right alongside the road. Visitors can easily park and take a short walk to enjoy the beauty of the falls. The area features a nicely paved walkway under the falls, providing an up-close experience with this natural wonder. While driving along Highway 64, travelers can also explore nearby attractions like Dry Falls.
Beatiful falls that you can drive under. Unfortunately due to the ice above and snow banks, the drive through lane was closed. Was able to park and get some great photos.

Bridal Fall you can park near and walk underneath falls they no longer allow you to drive behind it. Great for quick waterfall pictures.

5/17/25 Bridal Veil Falls 120' drop US-64, Highlands, NC 28741 Parking off the highway next to the falls. Only room for 6-7 cars. But no hike, so you are not there for long. Right down the road from Sequoya Falls and Dry Falls. The road here that goes behind the falls is blocked off. But you can walk the road behind it. And you park right next to the Falls. It's strange that it's so close to the road. It is a cool looking falls.
Orrin H — Google review
This is an easy waterfall to access, as it is right off the road. You used to be able to drive under it, but the road under it is closed. Parking is limited, and it can get very busy in the summer months.
Robert W — Google review
Right off the side of the road and close to several other waterfalls. It's definitely different. Worth the stop if you're chasing waterfalls. However the road to drive behind it is currently closed, which was part of the hype. You can still walk behind it!
Robin M — Google review
Right off the road, you dont need to hike miles in order to appreciate this little beauty. I love an interactive waterfall so the fact you can walk under, around and through makes it well worth the visit.

Beautiful waterfall on the side of the road. Great photo opportunities

Would be a nice place to stop but when we went on 10.18.25 there was a large orange construction machine parked on one side of path.

Dry Falls

Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Picturesque cascade with a path under the rocks that offers a unique, reverse view of the waterfall.
Absolutely amazing experience! Dry Falls is a must-see if you’re in the area! The waterfall is breathtaking, and what makes it extra special is that you can actually walk behind it — such a unique and unforgettable experience. The sound of the water crashing down is powerful, yet the trail is easy and accessible for most people. The path is short, well-paved, and gives you incredible views from different angles. Everything was well-maintained and clean, and there’s plenty of parking close to the trailhead. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and appreciate nature’s beauty. Highly recommend it!
Niki G — Google review
We have become waterfall hunters and Dry Falls is a must experience to walk behind and enjoy its natural power. If Parking is full BE PATIENT because sight seers are coming and going quickly as it’s a short walk from the parking lot and done in 15 minutes max.
Frank G — Google review
Loved the waterfall. Easy walk down several sets of stairs. Easy hike &you can take your time going down to the bottom of the waterfall. Great views. You are able to walk behind the waterfall. Beautiful setting. There is a minimal Parking Fee.
Danette K — Google review
Visiting the Dry Falls walkway and experiencing mist under the waterfall was worth the wait to get into the parking area. The road got a bit congested at the entrance l, but nothing anybody can do about it. Smile and be friendly, enjoy the falls.
Albert H — Google review
A truly magnificent waterfall one of the top 10 I have seen in my short life. Definitely show up early because the limited parking was a headache to deal with. There is several steps and is mostly an incline walk down and back up, but there several resting points to stop and enjoy the incredible view. Also take care where you step there is areas that may hold water and can make the rocky path rather slippery.
Allison M — Google review
You will not be disappointed here!! Wow, and it's great you get to walk under the falls! It's cool, literally and damp! So watch your step, it's easy to get to too! I know you'll thank me, and the drive! Wow cool crisp mountain air and not to far from north GA!
Jeff B — Google review
Very easily accessible from parking. Ample of parking space. Washroom onsite. Driving to the spot can be bit tricky, need to be cautious. The waterfall is a must see. You can walk inside the fall and cross to other side. Doesn’t need too much of time to cover. Can be visited in short duration. Not crowded. Visited during weekend evening.
Amit B — Google review
Parking was a nightmare (very popular and limited parking. Granted I stoped by around lunch time on a sunny summer Sunday afternoon.) Lots of stone steps combined with a short 0.5 mile (approx) “hike” down to the falls and behind the falls. 100% worth it!

Tanger Outlets Commerce

Shopping mall
Shopping
Shopping-mall chain featuring a variety of brand-name & designer outlet stores.
We found the Tanger Outlets Commerce to be very nice. This mall is fairly new and stores are being added. The maintenance is excellent and most of the normal stores are available here. We did find access to the mall is a bit long and not as well marked as it might be, but other than that it is very good.

Updated Feedback – The Force of Retail Still Felt Thank you, Tanger Outlets Commerce Team, for taking the time to respond to my feedback. Your thoughtful message—and your acknowledgment of my positive experiences at other Tanger locations—reflects the customer care I’ve come to appreciate across the galaxy of Tanger Outlets. I’ve updated my original review in response to your reply. While the incident involving photography occurred at the end of my visit and did bring imbalance to an otherwise smooth experience, the path before that was filled with promise. I explored several stores throughout the outlet center and uncovered some true deals: a pair of Adidas shorts, regularly $45, acquired for just $11—a bargain worthy of celebration. At The Children’s Place, I found great deals for the youngling back home, making the journey even more worthwhile. Though the enforcement around photography caught me by surprise, I’m encouraged to know my feedback has been shared with your team, and that steps are being taken to bring more consistency and clarity to the guest experience. A balanced policy, clearly communicated, benefits all travelers. Overall, my time at Tanger Outlets Commerce still held value. I appreciate your willingness to listen, respond, and align your efforts with the welcoming spirit Tanger is known for. If my travels bring me back through this sector of Georgia, a return visit may yet be in the stars. May your guests arrive with purpose, and leave with savings. — Dain Vossar Galaxy Guide & Local Review Traveler

This place is a temple to consumerism where people go to pay their tithes to the God of Stuff and buy things made in countries they can't find on a map by people who make less in a day than the end user paid for her Starbucks this morning. It's a huge place hawking every brand name you can think of. A little pricey for an outlet IMO. Great place spend your hard earned disposable income, if you have any, or mortgage your retirement with a credit card. And the neighbors dont have to know you got it for "40% off." No bookstore, though, which was kind of a bummer.

Don Carter State Park

Park
Green space with hiking paths, a lake for swimming & boating, plus campsites and cabin rentals.
This is a very nice State Park. We'll maintain, with clean bathrooms & showers. We enjoyed the beach and hiking trails. The Kayak rentals are only $10. An hr. The camp sites are fairly level, but navigation the campground is crazy confusing. They desperately need to improve their direction signs.

We had such a great experience at Don Carter State Park! It was the perfect staycation: peaceful, fun, and really well maintained. The beach area was beautiful and relaxing, and the trails were easy to navigate and made for a really enjoyable walk. The swing coaster playground was a big hit too. It’s a great spot for kids to have fun. One thing that really stood out was how clean everything was, from the restrooms to the picnic areas. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping the park nice for visitors. We brought our dog along and appreciated that the park is pet-friendly. While dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, they are welcome on the trails and in other areas as long as they’re leashed. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we’re already looking forward to coming back again! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a simple but refreshing getaway close to home.

A nice park with deer casually strolling by, clean restrooms/showers, great staff, and secure. They have a nice beach with a refreshments shack, two nice boat launches (we used them for kayak launching), nice dump sites (with a hose that doesn't have a crushed end), dumpster corral, the main lodge/check-in, firewood, and ice (which was not available at the time due to a temperamental ice cooler). As for the lack of ice, call before you get there to check on their ice supply as the nearest gas station is not near. Our site (#30) was very small (narrow) but nice. If you're bringing a big show, you may want to call to make sure that you'll get the space you need. All in all, it's a nice park that is a bit off the beaten path.

My worst camping nightmare fulltime RVing!!! 😢 my first contact was excellent! I had to postpone my trip by a day due to a sick dog- she couldn’t have been nicer. Let me know if I wasn’t able to be there by 5pm the next day(running late) call for a pass code. All good, all normal. 😊 Next day traffic awful my 4hr 17min trip was showing on GPS 5:42 based on traffic delays. Called, explained&asked them to text passcode”no, we don’t text passcodes” can you email it to me? “No, I can tell you over the phone” l said am by myself driving please just send it with directions No we don’t do not that (it’s near 5pm when they leave) I said ok hold on I’m driving let me pull over and get a pen&paper” On the side of the highway with trucks passing shaking my motorhome I get a speech about a main gate and the hours open& closed 10pm to 7/8am? - passcode finally. But did not need any of that information to enter campground-frustrated 😱 “Mame, I will not be leaving campground tonight just need directions to get into campground? How? will I need a passcode?”Yes I was trying to explain, “Mame I am on the side of the highway waiting for the passcode to get to my campsite” Do you want to speak with my manager? “No I want the passcode I was told to call and get it if running late- line goes dead 😵 I call back ask why did you hang up on me? I didn’t I put you on hold to speak to the manager. Still haven’t yelled🤐 no I just need the 4 digit passcode? I’m still on the side of the highway waiting because I was not there by 5 refused to text #, listening to info I don’t need and not getting info I do! Next-Well first thing in the morning you need to come to the visitors center for paperwork and pay any money you owe. Explained paid in advance, don’t want paperwork “you-must have a pass”I said leave it at the site. I don’t want to set up camp tonight Only to de-camp the next morning for a piece of paper!!! You could walk? Uggh I was done. I will stay a few nights and never return l. Worse yet to come ——-I had campsite 41 the most difficult to back into required to go through another campsite(38) to get motorhome (only 23ft) in position to back into🤯 NEVER AGAIN WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Nice campground, clean, definitely not worth the hassle!

The camping is amazing there. The campers were very friendly and my kids had a blast! The restrooms are close by and have several bathrooms so it's not such a far distance and the volunteers come regularly in case you need help or anything! Sights & Landmarks
Sanford Stadium, the 92,000-seat football stadium located at the University of Georgia and home to their Bulldogs team, is a popular venue for sports enthusiasts. The stadium is well-maintained with clean facilities and restrooms that have attendants on hand. Visitors are advised to rent a stadium chair as the bleacher seating can be cramped during peak attendance times. Only card payments are accepted for purchases made throughout the premises. Exiting from the top parking deck may cause delays due to heavy traffic.
GO DAWGS!!! I love this place! I love the bugle at the beginning and the red coat band at halftime! The excitement of the music and the fireworks and the lights and the team running out on the field! Everybody should be between the hedges at least once in their lifetime.love the new seat back design, too. The mesh was way cooler than the previous vinyl coverings.
Ramona C — Google review
What can I say, gotta love Sanford Stadium!! This is one of those venues where people seem just genuinely happy to be there. Concessions are ok. Parking is a pain, but probably no worse than any other college football stadium. The reason I couldn’t give 5 stars….the aftermath. Getting out of there is atrocious. And it’s not clearly marked where to catch the shuttles either. Other than that, solid experience. GO DAWGS!!!
Stacie B — Google review
Came as a fan of the opposing team. Fans were all nice. Of course you have some students that are obnoxious. But overall great interactions with the home fans. Concession prices are very reasonable and there were hydration stations for water fill-ups. I really appreciated being able to affordably eat inside the stadium. We couldn’t really watch anything on the (1) video board and there was distortion in the audio system. We had 600 level seats. The fireworks and light up wristbands were cool, though. Post game traffic and exiting was horrible. This town and area is not meant to host 100,000+ people. We had a parking pass for the Hull Street deck. I arrived to my car at approximately 11:39pm, pulled out and got in line to leave. We then proceeded to sit in our car for an hour and a half and finally was able to exit the parking lot well after 1am. Unacceptable. Very cool venue. I enjoyed the SEC Road environment despite a subpar technology and parking experience.
Tolliver G — Google review
Beautiful campus and great experience at the game. The concession prices were comparable to a local high school football game. Every seat in the stadium seemed to have a good view of the game!

Being proud alumni we were both excited to take our daughter for a campus tour - regardless of if she selects UGA for her first four years. It was very informative and the students giving the tours were great about spending time with each prospective student and answering general questions that everyone has. It is always nice to see Sanford Stadium and this tour brought back a lot of good memories.

The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is a vast 313-acre horticultural conservatory that offers free admission to visitors. The garden boasts picturesque walking paths and provides educational programs for both adults and children. While some negative reviews exist, the gardens are well-prepared during winter and offer an excellent opportunity for photography. There's ample parking available, although it might get crowded on weekends. Visitors can donate if they wish to support the establishment, with a small donation box located near the entrance.
It's Free. A very beautiful garden. It's huge. A great place to take pictures. Great views of flowers and plants. Nature at its best. I recommend this place. We went during our trip to Atlanta. We made the drive out there not too bad, about an hour or so.

Visiting the State Botanical Garden of Georgia during Christmas was honestly such a peaceful and magical experience. The lights throughout the garden added this soft, warm glow that made everything feel a little extra special—like a quiet winter wonderland tucked into Athens. It wasn’t overly crowded, which made it easy to stroll through the paths, take in all the decorated trees and glowing displays, and just enjoy the calm. If you love holiday vibes but want something more serene than chaotic, this place is such a sweet spot. Plus, the lights reflecting off the plants and walkways made for some really pretty photos without even trying. A cozy, festive little escape that felt equal parts relaxing and joyful.

This past weekend I was visiting my alma mater, The University of Georgia. I got my master's there in 1999 and haven't really been back since. My first daughter was little when we were there and we take her for hikes in the Botanical Garden. Back then there was one little garden and the conservatory was brand new. Today the gardens have grown! Not only have the plants nature's, but there's now many different gardens. I'm not much of a gardener so I won't pretend, but I can say they're all beautiful. The conservatory is the same, but it's got a partner building that houses the most amazing and beautiful porcelain collection. Again, I'm not much into dishes or figurines, but to imagine that one person collected all of this stirs the imagination. It sounds boring, but trust me it's a must see. I went to relieve the holes we took with my daughter, and I found a wonderful fairy land of plants and new experiences. If you get to Athens GA for any reason, the State Botanical Garden is good couple of hours experience, more of your into plants!

It’s free 😀 but it would be worth visiting even if it wasn’t! Pick a beautiful day and head out for a relaxing time surrounded by beautiful plants. There are also a lot of fun facts on the signs I found really intriguing, and I’m no plant nerd. So many different types of plants and environments, with the hill of wildflowers especially amazing! Also go visit the porcelain museum—I thought it sounded lame but it is also really neat!

Beautiful gardens with plenty of parking. No entry fee, but donations accepted. There's a gift shop. What they really need is a cafe or at least a snack bar. We enjoyed our visit.

Couldn't possibly do this place justice with words. Go! Bring a picnic. Bring everyone you know. This was a revelation in what a community can provide for it's residents and visitors. I have paid large sums to have less fun and relaxation. The children's garden and flying squirrels nest are not to be missed. Perfectly manicured and curated ornamental gardens on a sprawling, truly gorgeous property.
Yona G — Google review
This place is absolutely awesome! The children's area is amazing, and my 3-year-old enjoys playing there. Entrance is free, but donations are encouraged. I also took my elderly mother there, and they provided a scooter for her to enjoy (check the website for details on availability). Overall, an amazing place, and I recommend everyone visit.

It is really nice. If you like plants or just nice scenic trails to walk on, you will like this place. There are also a couple of play areas for kids that look pretty awesome too. The pocelain museum onsite is worth a visit too - it is pretty amazing, and no it is not porcelain toilets. Honestly I think this place should charge admission. The outdoor areas are on par with the Atlanta Botanical gardens in my opinion, and Atlanta Botanical is a bit pricey on the admission. I have attached a picture of the map for those who would like to see the layout. Its a pretty big place. I spent about 3 hours there.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden in Gainesville may be smaller than its Atlanta counterpart, but it offers a well-maintained and diverse experience. Visitors can explore an amphitheater, mini waterfalls, labeled floral displays, nature trails, and a playground for children. The garden also features creative sculptures and hosts various community events. Additionally, there is a gift shop at the entrance center and a drink bar outside by the pond with ample seating to enjoy the view.
A cozy and almost private garden that fills your soul with peace, inspiration and calmness that only mother nature can comfort you with. Loved the wire sculptures, and the little trail over the tiny brook. I wish the benches and chairs were in a bit better condition, I would have loved to sit and just enjoy my time here. A perfect place to wind down on a sunny afternoon ❤️

The garden is always beautiful even during fall when it's mostly green vegetation they still manage to add some color with seasonal flowers and it's always a peaceful walk. They also have a children's playground with seating areas, and a water drawing wall that's pretty cool. They are always expanding and right now have a scarecrow contest going on that's neat, and they are setting up for a Christmas light display that starts in November. It's something different to do with the kiddos, they really enjoyed it. We'll be back for the Christmas lights.

I recently got a membership to the Atlanta botanical gardens and wanted to check out the Gainesville location. They have free parking on site and it was easy to access. It is a beautiful place with walking trails and a children's area. This location is much smaller than the botanical gardens in Atlanta. Both are worth checking out if you're a nature lover.

Gave us complimentary wine upon arrival and even watched our bags until we took a restroom break after the travel. Thanks Joe! So many amenities when you stay in a SPA ROOM like a huge spacious luxury room that has amazing views of the lake and garden which has hammocks, reclining outdoor covered loungers and tranquil music! Access to the Hot tub, Amazing Women's locker room ( OMG), a magazine cover sitting, sipping room and SO MUCH MORE! I felt like I won some of the BIG MEGA!😆 I want to also note that there is a shuttle service that takes you all over their grounds. Mark picked us up many of the times! He was cheerful and very informative! Thanks Joe, Mark and SPA Staff for making our stay memorable!

This would be a 5 star review had it not been for the discourteous and nssty attitude of Amaya, a lower level employee who apparently hates her job. I asked her to unlock my locker. It was my first time there, as my daugjter in law treated me to a day of pampering. I asked Miss Attitude to unlock the locker and honestly I forgot which one and she opened 2 until she got to the right one. It should have been a light hearted moment but she acted as though it hurt her hands to assist me. All she was doing was folding towels.I thanked her and she pretended not to hear me until I looked her in her face and thanked her again for her "help", at which point she nodded her head.. Nasty as heck. Pretty is as pretty does. Othewise a wonderful day. Lee was magic with the massage! 10 stars for him!!

From entrance to exit, this spa delivered an incredible experience. The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the two lovely ladies at the front desk who made check-in seamless and pleasant. Shortly after, a gentleman greeted us at the bottom of the stairs and gave us a thorough tour—his service and hospitality truly set the tone for the day. The atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious, and the outdoor amenities were perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and beautifully maintained grounds—it all felt like a mini escape. The entire staff was amazing, but a special shoutout to Yami, the nail specialist. She made my husband and me feel completely relaxed and taken care of. Her gentle approach and professionalism stood out. We also enjoyed service by Janice S. If you're looking for a relaxing, high-quality spa experience with outstanding service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!

Chateau Elan SPA is amazing! Their BEST (consistent) massage therapists are Shawana and Dawn!!!!! My mother & I will only book services if we can get on their schedule. Their massages are an experience!! I also enjoy visits there for breakfast, massages & facials. It's a sweet local getaway less than one hour away for a few hours of me time, DAY away or overnight to take a BREAK from Life's stress and merry-go-round. :-)

Absolutely wonderful experience! This spa was such a treat, I felt pampered and taken care of and most importantly, very relaxed. The facilities are beautiful and serene, so much you kinda forget you are in Georgia. I got an 80 minute massage and it was the most peaceful time. I also loved the locker/lounge area and enjoyed the steam room the most! Overall top tier experience, can’t wait to be back.

I visited this spa a couple of weeks ago and had a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. There’s a lot of potential here, and while I did enjoy parts of my visit, there are definitely some things that need improvement. The facility itself feels outdated and could really benefit from some renovations. It was also extremely hot inside not just in the sauna areas, but throughout the building which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. Some better ventilation or temperature control would go a long way. That said, I loved how robe-friendly the entire space was even in the upstairs restaurant. That little detail made the experience feel much more relaxed and spa-like. What truly stood out during my visit was the kindness and attentiveness of a few staff members downstairs. Yami was a total gem friendly, patient, and always happy to help. She assisted me with my locker more than once and never made me feel like a bother. Veronica was just as amazing. She not only helped me get a glass of wine but went far beyond expectations when I realized I had left a necklace in my robe. Even though the laundry had already been taken back, she went out of her way to search through it to find my necklace. That level of care is rare, and I’m genuinely grateful to both of them they truly made me feel cared for. On the other hand, I had a disappointing interaction with a staff member named Amara upstairs, who wasn’t very welcoming and seemed to brush me off. It felt dismissive and was in stark contrast to the warmth I experienced downstairs. I also had a negative interaction with Jonathan at the downstairs desk. The way he spoke to me came across as condescending like I was a lost child and that really took away from the overall vibe I was hoping for. The steam room was definitely a highlight, and while the pool was on the smaller side, I really liked that it had jets so I could swim in place a thoughtful touch that helped make up for the size. Overall, I appreciated the robe-friendly environment, the steam room, and most of all, the incredible help from Yami and Veronica. They were the true highlight of my visit. With some updates to the space and more consistent customer service across all staff, this place could be something special. For now, it was a decent visit not perfect, but not without its bright spots either.

I arrived 10–15 minutes early for my scheduled spa treatments and was warmly welcomed by one of the front desk associates, whose name I regrettably did not catch. I promptly provided my partner’s full name, under which the reservation was made, as well as my own. Unfortunately, the second receptionist repeatedly asked for my name—despite clearly viewing the appointment details on her screen. She then handed me a waiver form. When I mentioned that my partner and I had already completed it online, she curtly stated that the digital version was outdated. I complied and filled it out again, though the interaction felt unnecessarily terse. Her demeanor was more interrogative than welcoming—an unsettling contrast to the level of service one would expect, especially considering our visit totaled over $1,000. After some back and forth, she finally acknowledged my name on the screen and remarked, “Oh, you're Tess,” in a tone that felt oddly dismissive. She proceeded to request my ID and credit card. When I explained that everything had been booked under my partner’s name, she informed me I would need to wait for him—though doing so would have caused me to miss the start of my treatment. Notably, the moment she overheard his voice during a quick phone call, her tone shifted completely. She immediately told me I could proceed downstairs and said she would notify his massage therapist that he would be running alittle behind. The contrast in how I was treated before and after that call left me wondering why his voice seemed to carry more credibility than my presence at the front desk. Thankfully, the experience improved significantly from there. Elle greeted me downstairs with warmth and professionalism, and every staff member I encountered afterward was equally courteous and attentive. I had nearly forgotten the awkward check-in until we returned to the desk to check out. A different receptionist—gracious and welcoming—asked if we were celebrating anything special. When my partner mentioned it was my birthday, she kindly presented me with a small gift bag. While the spa facilities are somewhat dated, the service providers delivered a lovely experience. That said, I’m unlikely to return. The front desk team would benefit from additional training in guest relations and professional etiquette to ensure every visitor feels equally acknowledged and respected. First impressions matter—especially at a property that serves people from all over the world.

Chateau Elan Winery & Resort

Mentioned on
6 lists
Resort hotel
Food & Drink
Nestled on 3,500 acres of picturesque grounds, Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is a luxurious French-style chateau hotel offering an array of amenities. The resort features a renowned winery where guests can take part in tasting tours and learn about the wine-making process. With over 30 wines produced from locally grown grapes, it has gained recognition as one of the largest and most acclaimed wineries on the East Coast.
Words cannot express what a wonderful time my party had when we stayed on the grounds for my niece’s birthday. We enjoyed the tour of the winery, the wine tasting experience, and stayed at the Villa for the night. India did an amazing job giving us a tour of the winery, Kai was phenomenal with her knowledge of the wines. Both ladies made our tasting experience magical!!! Dalia was also extremely helpful. The ladies treated us with such VIP treatment and wines were excellent! I would highly recommend to anyone to come to visit these beautiful grounds with excellent service!!!

The grounds were absolutely beautiful—lush, well-kept, and really set the tone for a relaxing stay. My husband especially loved the golf courses at the two different locations we visited; he couldn’t stop talking about how well-maintained and scenic they were. That alone was a big highlight for us. The restaurants were great too, with good variety and consistently solid food. And overall, the customer service throughout the property was excellent—everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The front desk experience, though, could be better—not because of the staff, who were always polite and professional—but because the process tends to create long lines at times. When I checked out today, I stood in line for several minutes behind one guest with no movement. It wasn’t until another couple walked up behind me that the front desk clerk finally rang the buzzer to call for additional help. That was a little frustrating—especially after I’d already been waiting for a while—because she easily could’ve done that sooner. As for the rooms—they were fine, but for the price, they felt a bit underwhelming. The hotel’s overall interior is gorgeous, but the rooms themselves didn’t quite reflect the same level of quality or finish. All in all, it was a good experience. We enjoyed the stay—especially the golf—but it’s definitely on the pricier side, and I’m not sure the room quality fully lines up with the cost.

Unfortunately, there were so many issues during our stay that I felt compelled to leave a review. This resort is undeniably beautiful and has tremendous potential, which made our experience all the more disappointing. This was meant to be a ladies’ weekend getaway. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, but things quickly went downhill once we visited the pool. The service was extremely poor. Since a 22% service charge is automatically added to every bill, the waitstaff seemed uninterested in providing attentive care. We paid an exorbitant price for a very mediocre lunch, only to discover there weren’t even enough utensils provided. One of my friends ended up eating her $30 scoop of chicken with a shared plastic spoon because no one returned to check on us. The issues continued with the accommodations. Our room had visible mold and filthy vents, which felt unacceptable for a property of this caliber. Dining at Marks one evening was also unsettling—we noticed a dead cockroach in the corner near our table. For the rates they charge, I expect far higher standards of cleanliness and service. On a positive note, the spa was excellent—truly the highlight of the trip and worth every penny. Unfortunately, beyond that, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. For the prices charged, I would not return to stay at the resort or dine in its restaurants--great for a spa day only!

Beautiful resort and facilities. The property is gorgeous and all of the grounds and buildings are designed very nicely. The pool and hot tub are great and centrally located. There’s plenty of restaurants and bars on the property - we loved Marc’s. The spa is very relaxing snd has a nice view of a small lake in the back. The vineyard is massive and the wine tasting is a great deal. I’m only giving 4 stars because of the rooms - they are spacious but could be more modern with better appliances; most of the outlets didn’t work and the iron did not work properly either. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Q= BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER!! Stopped by for a Day Tour and tasting. Beautiful property. It's good value for what you pay. Wines are delicious & reasonably priced, plus there's lots of dining areas. Would love to stay in the future and experience the spa and other amenities. Grabbed lunch at the Irish pub- overall 4/5 Wings - 4/5 buffalo and lemon pepper Pretzels 5/5 Burger and side salad (made as cobb w/blue cheese). 4/5 Very solid meal. Would definitely return for any of these quick bites.

This is an overall very lovely resort but it falls short in some ways. My mom and I stayed at the spa for her birthday and the people who worked there were amazing. There are two reasons why I am giving 3 stars. The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. $20 for a Cesar salad is insane. Especially since it was below average. Additionally the main pedi I got at the spa was the worst I've ever received, and simultaneously the most expensive. The woman who did my treatment insulted me multiple times, making comments about bumps on my legs and how I needed a lot of extra work and that's why it was taking so long. The truth is she was just extremely slow and took SO long just cutting my nails and cuticles. There was nothing relaxing about that treatment and there wasn't even a massage ! That's the best part of any pedicure. I would go back but would not eat at the resort nor ever book another nail service.

We checked in straight from our wedding for two nights and left unimpressed. We did not receive the value we paid for. The mini fridge was left ajar and therefore warm upon our arrival while the bar across the lobby closed early "at their discretion", so we couldn't even enjoy a wedding toast... while checked in at a winery resort. The winery was ironically closed the next day due to a private event (not advertised when we booked) and the same bar from before also closed again due to filming a commercial. We did finally get to enjoy a wine from the mini fridge the next day once it did chill, but we did have to wait at the front desk for wine glasses because room service did not answer (we called 3x over an hour during the printed operating hours but only got to voicemail). The TV channels must be satellite-based as several channels we tried to watch would not play due to connectivity issues, and the TVs don't offer streaming services like modern hotels. The room itself was clean, large, and updated. TC over at Paddy's was wonderful - we did enjoy an early dinner and some good pours from her. Matias was also a delight at the hotel restaurant with an improvised wine tasting (since winery was closed). Overall, the staff was all great but we expected a much better experience with the resort amenities and therefore cannot recommend.

I had dinner here with my mother, ordering one pasta dish and a steak. The total came to $177, yet it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. Although I requested the steak medium, it was served cold in the center, which is completely unacceptable. The pasta was overwhelmingly salty, and the seafood tasted as though it had been frozen, lacking any freshness. The dining environment was also unpleasant. The room was excessively loud to the point that it hurt my ears, and I waited nearly an hour before receiving my food. What made the experience worse was the seating arrangement. Despite the restaurant being largely empty from the time I entered until I left, I was placed at the very last table with no view. I asked multiple times to be moved, yet was repeatedly denied. It left me questioning whether this treatment was due to my ethnicity. For the price paid, the quality of both the food and service fell far below expectation.

Amusement center
Water & Amusement Parks
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is a lakeside water park featuring thrilling slides, a large wave pool, and various attractions for families to enjoy. It offers an array of experiences that cater to visitors seeking unforgettable moments together, from serene beach vibes to winter escapades and mesmerizing light displays. The venue also includes a mini-golf course, arcades, and snow tubing during the winter season.
Sick of your HOA pool? A getaway that reminds you of that great cottage area on a lake mixed with Carrinean vibes, high end boats, music, floating obstacle course, wave pool and many generations of waterslides. Go here for family fun in the summer and unique snow tubing in the winter.

We didn't stay overnight, we just visited the water park. Park was clean and well maintained. Staff (early twenties age group) were nice, helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Buy your ticket at the gate if you are eligible for a military discount, price will still be right at $100 for two people, but worth the savings.

we stayed in the campground and it was wonderful. it was during the off season so the water park wasn't open. Our site was very nice and clean. The wifi worked wonderful. We would recommend this place for camping to anyone. We drove up to Helen for Octoberfest.

We recently visited Margaritaville lol, and it was a fun and relaxing experience from start to finish! The combination of lakeside views, beach vibes, and family-friendly activities made it a memorable outing. The water park was a highlight—clean, well-maintained, and full of attractions for all ages. The slides were thrilling, the wave pool was a blast, and the lazy river was the perfect place to unwind. We also appreciated the variety of food and drink options throughout the park. The frozen margaritas lived up to the name, and the beachside grill offered solid options for both kids and adults. One of the best parts was the laid-back, island-style atmosphere. Music was playing, the staff was friendly, and everything felt very well organized. Renting a cabana by the lake made our day even more enjoyable and gave us a comfortable spot to cool off and relax. Parking and entry were smooth, though it's worth arriving early on weekends to avoid crowds. The prices were reasonable for a full-day experience, especially considering the range of amenities. Margaritaville is a great summer destination whether you’re visiting with family, a group of friends, or just looking for a mini getaway without leaving Georgia. We’ll definitely be back!

Fun slides. Not very long lines. Food was meh. I didn't have any cocktails, but there were bees buzzing around the bar anyway. Kids had a great time, so that's what counts. Parents might be a bit disappointed with the food and drink, though.

Just beware of the waterpark especially if your family has dietary restrictions. We called in advance to ensure we can bring in safe food for our family with allergies and they said no problem. At the gate our cooler with lunch was denied entry altogether. Very frustrating miscommunication. They’ll also make you pour out waters for children, and adults, despite it being 100 degrees.
Hannah C — Google review
Listen if you live close and I’m gonna come more than a few times during the summer by the season pass. If you just go with a daily pass, you’re gonna pay an arm and a leg. This place is a lot of fun once you get in but for my family of four for one day we spent $350-$400 for about six hours. Honestly, if they just made the prices reasonable, you’d probably have a lot more people coming.

A 963-acre park known for Indian Seats rock formation, with hiking trails & a visitor center.
I may be biased because I live so close to this park but this is one of my absolute favorite spots to go on a hike! the view at the top is breathtaking and there are some cool nature facts posted along the trail along with the info center. Restrooms are usually clean and it is very dog friendly! Also a super cool spot at the top for a picnic lunch. definitely recommend taking a hike to the top if you never have before!

Have been hiking up the mountain for years. Always a fun hike. Sometimes we do the shorter trail from the Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot and sometimes we do the much longer hike from the Visitor Center. Trail is rocky and rough and you will roll your ankle multiple times even if you are careful. View from the top on a clear day is beautiful. Always a busy trail and you will meet multiple families, trail runners on the way.
Priya R — Google review
One hour from Atlanta you can get lost on a windy 5 Mile loop and enjoy views from the top of this mountain. Stop by the fairy trail kindly provided by the Girl Scouts. The trails are neither too steep or overwhelming. Kids are more than capable of the trek.
Chrisoula M — Google review
Beautifully shaded trail. My friends and family love this. Approx 4miles (up & down) from this point to Indian Seat, an amazing overlook vista point. Suggestion: Along the trail stay on the LEFT whenever it bifurcates so you will reach Indian Seat. Otherwise you may drift towards Bettis gap if that is not your intent (and keep wandering).
Sahanagrad S — Google review
Strongly recommend good shoes for this shaded trail with gradual incline to the top of the mountain. Pretty decent and easy for general public. Great views, all one sees is lush green tree table top from the top of the mountain with one or two minor buildings exposed. Attracts local daily walkers, joggers etc.

Wonderful place to spend some good time as well as body work. The walking path is so good and feel so much energy. The place is kept so clean and feeling refreshed once we reach the peak point

It was a decent hike overall. I went up to Indian Seats twice to help out a lost group. 5.1 miles total. Lots of rocks and tree roots. Wear boots. There is not much scenery except the fairy houses and the Indian Seats viewing deck. I got stung by a bee around the fairy houses. Lots of spider webs. There are many down trees, but the trail is apparent from them. The trail is well-marked, and maps are available in the parking lot. I followed along using the AllTrails app.

Shawnee mountain offers 0.75 one way ( 1.5 mile) hike with Bettis gap trail that could be good for kids and those who want to do easy homes. It also offer another hike that's 2 miles each. The trail take you to the top of mountain with beautiful view of blue Ridge range and trail of tears etc. The visitor center has great resources and information. The rest rooms are clean and there are water fountains next to rest rooms.

An amazing experience to be able to go to my first ever concert with my oldest son. We went to see Sleep Token's first concert for their 2025 tour in the USA. This place was easy to park and easy to get out. The facility was as good as you could wish for comfort and cleanliness. Looking forward to come back for more.

Came here to see Nine Inch Nails and was NOT disappointed. This place was very efficient, clean, and fully staffed. I was happy to see all the food choices with friendly people. We were up on the second floor and could still hear everything well. It had a more intimate feel. A lot of times when you sit on a second floor the magic of the concert can be lost because of bad sound quality or not being able to see good. I liked how everything was set up. This place was fabulous.

This is our second time attending a concert here. Both times have been great experiences. The entire complex is very clean and kept nice. The parking garages are very close to the building so it's an easy walk. The staff are quick at getting everyone through the lines and inside the building. All of the staff we dealt with were extremely friendly. Would highly recommending attending an event here.

Great venue. Looks like every seat had a great view! Plenty of food vendors that moved quickly. Clean bathrooms! Took a star away for parking! Easy in, GROSS out. We sat trying to get OUT of the parking lot long than the dang concert! Next time would 1 do valet or 2 park near an exit and walk. Police "help" was awful/non-existent!

Nice venue however the seats in front of us were folding chairs like on the ground level and didn't have cup holders like people seated left and right of us. Nonetheless, the ticket price is the same. Bathroom lines are long. Concession lines are long but go fast. Handicapped parking in front and center. Wasn't bad exiting.

This arena hosts the Atlanta Gladiators. Great atmosphere. Clean restrooms. Excellent food and beverage choices. Friendly staff. Only two concerns. A patron dropped a whole slice of pizza and left it. No one from Gas South was available to clean up the pizza. Another patron had to go get paper towels and clean it up. A person was vaping in front of us. Ushers were told. But nothing was done. I know it’s not smoke, but I still dislike seeing the game through a haze.

Went to the Sleep Token show here last night and loved this venue. As someone who has been to numerous shows and different venues, this one is definitely up top. I love how it was secluded in its own area with hotel accommodations and food options either right beside or nearby. Parking was super accessible and efficient, staff was friendly, place was clean, great seating, prices were very reasonable. 10/10 venue and wish there were more like it!

This was my second time at Gas South Arena and it has easily become one of my favorite venues. Everything is run so smoothly and the communication between staff and attendees is great. First time was for NCT 127, this time was for Sleep Token and Thornhill! We were in line and seated promptly. Staff were very pleasant and informative. I also appreciate the pricing of the food and drinks. Yes it's expensive but it's not price gouging like many places. I also really like the layout of the building and find it easy to get around and get where I need to go.

Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, formerly known as Verizon Amphitheatre, is a premier outdoor venue located just north of Atlanta in Alpharetta. The state-of-the-art amphitheater sits on 45 acres of beautifully landscaped, wooded land and can accommodate up to 12,000 people with pavilion and lawn seating options. From April to October, the venue hosts a variety of big-name acts and events, making it a perfect destination for music lovers.
Attended the Outlaw Music Festival recently and really enjoyed the event. It is a good idea to call the amphitheater for directions to your specific lot. Their directions were much clearer and easier to get to your specific lot than what pops up when you simply input the street address in GoogleMaps. I highly recommend the premier parking lot. Security check at the gate was quick and friendly. I also recommend checking out the merchandise online beforehand. It saves a lot of your time if you have already decided what you want to purchase. Business was brisk, and the vendors were super nice. We sat under cover and enjoyed the comfortable seats. The show was great. So lucky to have seen legends sing. Exiting the parking lot was orderly and quick.

I super love this venue !! We have seen multiple shows here, HALSEY, GOD IS A WEAPON, and their first concert ever back in 2009 to name a few and it’s gotten even better over the years! Great acoustics for an outdoor venue, great drinks, and friendly staff!! Except for ONE staff member that stood out for all the wrong reason. The staff member stationed at section 101, older lady, who took her job way too damn seriously. Who thought she was the gateway to protecting innocence. The last defense from protecting the artist and the precious venue. Whose job she thought was to be rude to anyone who talked to her 🫡🫡🫡🫡 My wife l, me, my friend, anyone she saw. You take away from the experience BY YOURSELF. That’s not an easy feat.

Second time @ this venue. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean. Try to pay close attention to the bag policy specifics, but if you don't, it's ok, there is a coat check type station at each entrance. If you're a drinker, I'd go heavy on the pregame, drinks start at almost $20. Definitely will return

Great place for a concert! We have seen several shows here and they all rocked. We just saw Collective Soul here and it was great. The acoustics here are awesome even though its outdoors. Our seats were just okay considering we had a tree view. I also dont like the fact that the place is cashless. Still though this is a cool venue

Venue was awesome! Lawn seating with chair rental for $1. Box seats. Private seating. Regular seats are under the pavilion. Big fans keep air moving. Seats upgrades were available moving us from 104 to the orchestra, dead center stage! Sound was amazing. 2 large screens. Food lines were short and moved quick. $11 refillable sodas. $2 hotdogs. Bring in your own cups with ice and they have filtered water stations. Restrooms were easily accessible and clean!! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

We attended the Rod Stewart concert here, our first time visiting this venue. We were very impressed. We elected to sit in the grassy area and it was perfect. A light breeze kept the summer heat from being unbearable. The line to get in was long, but it moved quickly. There were lots of vendors to buy food, drink, souvenirs, etc. Vendors came around offering drinks during the concert. Several people came up to the Will Call window looking for tickets and upgrades. The event was sold out, so I recommend getting your tickets in advance. I hope we get a chance to come back here again soon.

The best venue for a large rock concert in the greater ATL area. The show was amazing! Security was absolutely wonderful. They gave us water when we needed it. They were excellent with pulling crowd surfers over the barricade without injuries. The security was also very fair with distributing items the band threw that missed the crowd. That speaks volumes that they care about keeping the patrons happy and wanting to come back. Thanks for a great show!

Perimeter Mall

Shopping mall
Shopping
Collection of department stores, brand-name fashion/beauty retailers & numerous dining options.
Perimeter Mall in Atlanta offers a really enjoyable shopping experience. It’s clean, well laid out, and has a good balance of popular stores, upscale brands, and great dining options. The mall has a modern feel with plenty of natural light, comfortable seating areas, and a calm, easy-to-navigate layout. We found everything we needed—from clothing and shoes to unique gifts—and appreciated the variety of stores, from big names to smaller boutiques. Dining options were also a highlight. Whether you want a quick bite or a sit-down meal, there’s something for every taste. The mall felt safe, well-staffed, and maintained, with friendly employees and clear signage throughout. Parking was easy, and the surrounding area has even more to explore if you want to make a full day out of it. Whether you’re shopping for something specific or just browsing, Perimeter Mall is a solid choice in Atlanta.

Historic Atlanta area mall I used to go here when I was a kid. They’ve done a good job maintaining it has some similar features to what it did 30 years ago. This was the place to be back in the day. It’s good to see that it’s still functions relatively efficiently. I definitely recommend a stop in to this mall and/or the perimeter area in general. 🏆👏🏽🐺

Awesome mall located within the city. The addition of several stores has made it a must stop shop. Cleanliness and Customer Service at each location that I visited has been great and will definitely visit this location again.

Enjoyed atmosphere and food court. Saw a celebrity Lil Bossie got a chance to help build the LEGO wall for their grand opening.

If you can't find something to eat at the Farmers Basket you just don't have an appetite. I had the vegetable plate with fruit. You can also have this plate with any meat you like. They also have dessert like cheesecake.

A really impressive mall—spotless, well-maintained, and filled with a great variety of shops and dining options. It’s easy to navigate, with plenty of spots to unwind. Parking was a breeze too. Easily one of the best malls in the area.

Nice mall and good stores, but be very cautious. I had lunch at a nearby restaurant and were thinking of taking a walk at the mall after. Someone during lunch had mention that some people have shared some creepy stories about the mall. I did not want to make a big deal about it, and I took my mother and my son. We walked in to the mall, and notice a dude walking in with us, he followed us for a while. I stopped several times to look at him and he acted dumb. He followed us and kept an eye on us and caught up to us every single time. We manage to leave the place after 15 minutes of trying to loose him. These guys are following people inside the mall to then rob you outside in the parking lot.
