Food & Drink
Von Stiehl Winery, located in Forestville, Wisconsin, is a historic winery that has been producing wines since 1967. Situated on an estate that has been in the Schmiling family for over a century, it is known as the oldest mercantile vineyard in Door County. The winery offers over 40 varietals and provides wine tastings where visitors can learn about their European-style underground wine cellar.
We had a group of 10 take a tour and wine Tasting, Peggy was Fantastic, loved all her stories and was very knowledgeable about the history and family of Von Stiehl Winery Thank you for a great day ! 4-13-25

The reds. Ohhhhh, the reds.. Probably the best reds in WI, in our opinion. Have always done tastings to try the offerings as much as we can. The tasting staff is always very nice and make the visit! Our favorite is Sallie- knows her stuff and very kind and casual like all the other servers. Apparently, she is only working part time now 😒 So many great wines, with beer/cider/bourbon options within a very short walking distance. A MUST STOP IF YOU NEVER HAVE!!!
Andy W — Google review
I visited both the cidery and the winery and I highly recommend both of them. On a Sunday the cidery was not busy at all. There was one bartender and one couple sitting at the bar. I recommend getting a cider flight. The Brandy old fashioned cider was amazing. I also enjoyed the lavender cider. There is some outside seating but I got swarmed by bees as soon as I stepped outside with my cider so that is something to be aware of. When you step into the winery it truly feels like you're in a beautiful historic building. I'm not a wine professional by any means but they had some very delicious wines. There is a huge selection for people with all tastes. I recommend taking a look around upstairs as well. Parking wasn't terribly plentiful. There are options across the street and a small lot I believe at the winery itself.
Molacko W — Google review
Von Stiehl is hands-down the best winery in Door County—technically Kewaunee County, but they outshine them all. Their wines are consistently exceptional, with a balance and character that rival anything I’ve tasted across the country. I was heartbroken to hear their Frambois was discontinued—it was truly one of my all-time favorites—but every bottle I’ve tried from them has been outstanding. I’ve visited wineries from California to the East Coast, and I’d still rank Von Stiehl easily in my top ten nationwide. The quality, care, and craftsmanship are unmistakable, and the sense of history behind every bottle makes the experience even richer. Wisconsin should be proud to have a winery of this caliber—Von Stiehl is a true gem. Pictures include some of my first visits back in 2006 thru 'modern times'. Lol (and I WOULD PAY $50...or more, not sure what my ceiling would be...for a bottle of the aged-in-oak Frambois!! ☺️)
Rayne K — Google review
We were told THIS was the place to go and indeed it was! Most delicious variety and our taste tester extraordinaire Janel was so helpful! Highly recommend a visit (and purchase)!
Jamie L — Google review
Quaint little place to relax and play board games. I came with a tour group and I don't drink alcohol so I went to the Cider House while everyone else toured the winery. Echo was very friendly and the N/A cherry cider was delicious. 🍒
Wendy B — Google review
Absolutely wonderful experience here! Eileen was our server yesterday and she was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were all delightful. Didn’t have any that I didn’t like. The tasting room was clean and nicely decorated. Will visit again!!
Jill Q — Google review
Very welcoming environment in a building on the National Historic Register. Outdoor seating available too. They have ongoing activities and events. And of course the fruit wines (including cherry!) are tasty. Would recommend doing a tasting to see what you like. The staff will help you out but it's very popular so you might have to give them a minute - just like a busy restaurant.

Mariners Trail Wayside is a stunning pathway that seamlessly connects the cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers, offering an inviting experience for walkers and cyclists alike. This well-maintained trail stretches approximately six miles along the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan, where you can enjoy breathtaking views while engaging in various activities like biking, walking, or even rollerblading.
A very flat scenic trail right along Lake Michigan. Starts by the Maritime museum in Manitowoc and goes to Two Rivers. Trail is paved, wide, with only a few driveway crossings. There are a few waysides on the way.
Dennis P — Google review
Anice flat trail that runs from the Manitowoc Marina up to Two Rivers. Lake Michigan is the attraction to the east. Waysides are nicely done with gardens and statuary. Make sure to stop at the West Gardens and take time to check out the "Spirit of the Rivers" artwork. You can grab a bite at the Tipsy Tomato or the Submariner along the way. An easy trail for walking and bicycling. In Two Rivers you can catch the Riley Point Trail up to Point Beach State Park. All on all a very pleasant place to spend some time.
Stephen M — Google review
Beautiful 6 mile trail from the Wisconsin Maritime Museum to Two Rivers. Bike, walk, run, rollerblade; nicely paved and well maintained. The lake is the main attraction, but gardens, sculptures, and waysides beckon. Highly recommend. It continues on as Rawley Point Trail to Point Beach State Park.
Jack G — Google review
Great place to walk, bike and run. The beach is very minimal but great for dog walking. They have bags for cleaning up after your pets, be sure to use them.
Troy S — Google review
What a nice trail for a bike ride or stroll! It's in excellent condition and there are nice spots along the way to stop for a break or picnic lunch. Near the South end of the trail is the West of the Lake Gardens. Absolutely lovely!
Lynn — Google review
Nice little wayside with pretty flowers and views.
Stephanie K — Google review
Beautiful place to walk, run, bike or just enjoy the scenery. I stop by every time I'm in the area. Even after the leaves have all fallen and its chilly its still a great place to look out at the lake.
Aaron W — Google review
It is a nice trail. However, there are a lot of bikes. If you are walking be prepared to be buzzed by people whizzing by on bikes.

Wisconsin Maritime Museum

Maritime museum
Museums
The Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc offers a deep dive into the area's maritime history, including its shipbuilding legacy and tales of shipwrecks. Visitors can explore the USS Cobia, a World War II submarine similar to those built in Manitowoc, and even spend the night on board through Airbnb. The museum also showcases the rich maritime heritage of the region and its contributions to World War II.
We actually didn't plan to stop here, as we were focused on heading to door co. But Im so glad we stopped! This took us a good 2 hours and everyone was very entertained! Each floor was carefully and thoughtfully curated and was so immersing! We had littles from 6mo to 4yr old, and it was a great experience for all. Definitely stroller friendly!
Pakou L — Google review
The maritime museum was a great experience for the kids and adults. Seeing an actual submarine was a highlight with the self guided tour. It brought history to life. The many different rooms of boats and history of shipping and shipwrecks was a great experience. The water room was a fun stop half way through too.
Katrina G — Google review
The museum is full of wonder information. It is clean and well maintained. The people are very nice. This was our second visit, my husband wanted to return for the submarine tour. Although he did say the person giving the tour didn’t have her info right. And the person selling tickets was confused on which elevator went where, said one went downstairs but didn’t come backup!?
Dave B — Google review
Nice museum with a lot of history about the region and a great collection of model boats. The shipwreck section was very interesting. We did the self-guided tour of the sub and enjoyed it.
Susie G — Google review
Had a chance to visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc today along with the USS Cobia which is part of the museum what a learning experience. After checking in at the front desk and getting my receipt for my online ticket purchase which is basically your pass it was right into the exhibits and from the shipbuilding history of the area to the history of shipping on Lake Michigan to the exploration of shipwrecks and the displays of artifacts from some of the famous and infamous shipwrecks the museum really shows you the history of it all. I'm giving you just a brief glimpse of what there is to see and enjoy at the museum there's more than i could possibly list here you will have to come and see it for yourself to really get the full breadth of it. The exhibits and videos in the museum about the USS Cobia and than the tour of the boat itself which you can do with a guide or as I did just walking through the boat from bow to stern just imagining what it must have been like to be on board during WW2. The boat is beautifully maintained and everybody who is responsible for that should be proud and thanked for keeping it that way. Everyone working at the museum that i came in contact with were very friendly and helpful it was a great afternoon. Thanks! A bonus picture at the end of my tour of the Wisconsin to Michigan ferry boat SS Badger had just come in to port.
R H — Google review
Wonderful experience. We did the self guided tour of the USS Cobia using the iPad. We loved being able to take our time and look around. The museum has so many artifacts and interesting history. Parking lot has room for many cars.
Debby B — Google review
Very nice museum. Educational and really puts heart into marine life, ship building, ship wrecks, and history of men and women that had Parr in it all. Touring the USS Cobia is a must while there.
Simply G — Google review
Was here on a scouting trip and the simulator and rock tumbler thing was very fun tour guide told all the stories especially; the cobia is made of metal and i am not 😢, highly recommend to anyone in the area

Americas wilderness of speed. I absolutely loved the park . Not very much people at this event. Easy to find lots of room with tons of food facilities, bathrooms, stores, vendors. I love this place and plan on future visits. Vintage group C event is next year for me. If you like road course races. This place will find a spot in your heart. Ill never forget this place
Steel M — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience! The facilities were kept to perfection! Super clean, especially for having 40,000 people there over the race weekend! All the event staff were so kind and helpful, and the food stands had very good food, and very helpful people ☺️
Riley S — Google review
Went to Road America for the GT World Challenge. First time at Road America and enjoyed it. Went for the Sunday races, very easy to get in and park. Watched a couple laps then went to the Paddock. Had a snack and went to turn 5. Brought camping chairs and that was nice because we set up in the shade. After the race we went to the Lions stand for lunch which was closed, not sure if that is normal. Walked over the bridge and kept walking. Ate some burgers and fries at the Los Amigos, it was $47 for two burgers, three sodas and fries. Not sure how I feel about that as the burgers were so/so. The tacos were more expensive. The racing was fun to see, very open world, go pretty much anywhere you want, very laid-back. Unless you love waking and walking renting a golf cart, it would be worth it. My son is 15 and got in free with a paying adult so great for families. Would go back as they have a variety of races during the year.
Chris H — Google review
The atmosphere is electric with the shared passion for motorcycles. The camaraderie among attendees creates a welcoming environment for all. The thrill of the races is palpable, each curve and straightaway a testament to skill and precision. It's an immersive experience that caters to both seasoned enthusiasts and curious newcomers. A visit here promises a day filled with excitement and connection. .
Sead D — Google review
I consider RA to be my home away from home, many great times and adventures there for sure. If you've never had the chance to experience some of the best racing right here in the heartland, you're seriously missing out, even when it rains it's still an amazing time!! I cannot recommend a trip there enough, you won't be disappointed!!
Erik K — Google review
The Road America track truly offered a memorable experience for all attendees. The organization of the event was seamless, contributing to a positive safe & atmosphere. The track itself was well-maintained, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for racing. The staff and volunteers demonstrated exceptional professionalism and dedication. Overall, the race track day was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression.
Dave A — Google review
The facility is amazing! They meticulously maintain the landscaping and attractions to make sure the visitors feel welcome. The food options at the concession stands are decent. There were lots of places around the track to spectate, with plenty of signs and web resources to help people navigate.
Keri A — Google review
We visit every year for the IndyCar race. They do a wonderful job of keeping the place clean and providing great viewing places for the races. There are plenty of places to eat or get refreshments. The track is fantastic and they are consistently making improvements to make the place even better. Highly recommend for ANY racing fan!

Bay Beach Amusement Park, situated at the mouth of Fox River near the Bay of Green Bay, has been a go-to destination for family fun for over a hundred years. The park offers an array of amenities including indoor and outdoor rentals, picnic shelters, and beach shelters. Visitors can enjoy a variety of thrilling rides suitable for all ages such as bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, giant slides, and the famous Zippin Pippin Roller Coaster.
This park is truly one of the gems of the Green Bay area—affordable, family-friendly, and packed with charm. There’s ample parking, so getting in and out is a breeze. The grounds are clean and well maintained, with plenty of shaded spots and seating areas to relax. There are pavilions available for rent, which makes it perfect for group gatherings or celebrations. The rides are thoughtfully designed for children, making it a great spot for younger families. Ticket prices are extremely reasonable at just $0.25 each, with rides ranging from free to 4 tickets per person. We spent about 4 hours here and only spent around $30 total on tickets and snacks—amazing value! Wait times for rides were short and kept things moving smoothly. All in all, a delightful place to spend an afternoon without breaking the bank.
Meng T — Google review
Amazing place with so much fun stuff for the kids to do. We stopped as a rest point on a larger trip and it was perfect. Super cheap rides and food. Free and plentiful parking, no entry fee etc. We will definitely be back!
Tara W — Google review
We went on a Wednesday and had so much fun. Tickets are only 25 cents each and for 11 of us we only spent $30 on rides for the whole day. The toddler rides are free Tues-Thursdays so we didn't need tickets for those since we went on a Wednesday. The older kids rode rides multiple times and had a blast. The food we felt was was kind of expensive due to the fact that you didn't get much food for what you paid for and the food was bland. One of our favorite parts of the park was the inclusive playground. It was kind of a far walk from the roller coaster, but they are in the works of building a train ride that takes you over to the park. We all had a blast at the park and everyone loved the zip lines. I would definitely recommend this amusement park. It is free to enter, tickets are cheap, and you can bring your own food in, which I would recommend.
Charlese S — Google review
Clean and appears well maintained with plenty of staff. Rides are really a bargain and geared perfectly for younger kids. Family friendly fun for anyone on a budget. Right on the bay and next to wildlife sanctuary for a good wind down walk.
Greg S — Google review
An absolute gem that has delighted families for generations. The park is well maintained and affordable to all. There are rides for kids of all ages with small or no lines making everything even more enjoyable. I highly recommend bringing your kids and grandkids to enjoy all the park has to offer.
Jim B — Google review
What a great place!!! So affordable!!! Stopped for a few hours of fun before Packer Family Night, purchased $40 in tickets (which gave us 160) for a family of 6. Kids went on quite a few rides and adults even enjoyed a few. Left and still had tickets but figured since we were spending the night we'd stop back in the morning for more fun. Stayed for another almost 2 hours and enjoyed more of the higher ticket rides because lines weren't as long because of just opening. Ended up giving away the 76 tickets we had left to a family on their way into the park so we could head home. Concessions are even very reasonable. Very enjoyable!!!
Nancy S — Google review
Go on a yearly basis. If you have children bay beach is an awesome place to go. Plenty of rides and also very affordable! Everything is very fairly priced down to the concessions. Will continue to go back till the kids get too old.
Grizzly G — Google review
If you are ever in Green Bay this is must see! Awesome place to take the kids or an awesome date. Enjoy the cheap rides .25 cents per ticket and the whole family can have fun for under $40 dollars and also great prices on the concessions.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame & Museum is a must-visit for football enthusiasts and budget-conscious travelers in Green Bay. This two-level tribute to the local Super Bowl-winning team features high-tech exhibits showcasing legendary figures like Vince Lombardi, Curly Lambeau, George Calhoun, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers. Visitors can also explore the outdoor Lambeau Field and take a stadium tour to see the locker rooms and press box.
Visited on 6.24.2025. Green Bay is the mecca of football and visiting the Packers Hall of Fame is a must. I am a New York Jets fan and I felt honored to tour Lambeau Field and appreciate the history of one if the NFL' storied franchises. Highly Recommend to anybody that enjoys football.
Rick W — Google review
You can't go wrong at Lambeau! What's not to love here, like seriously. The atrium, gift shop, and restaurant are open to general public. We opted to get some combo tickets for the hall of fame and the legendary tour. It did not disappoint! We spent about an hour in the hall of fame and thats not enough time to see all the videos or read all the awesome facts. The legendary tour was amazing! Being able to go to different areas of the stadium that are normally off limits was so cool! Coming out the tunnel, being down on the sidelines, all of it is a must see.
Amber — Google review
I'm not a Packers fan, but my in-laws are die-hard! We strolled in here a few hours before the game and I was able to get a discount for being a student. I thought the history of the Packers was really cool. And, to think they had such humble beginnings. What an empire it's turned into! You don't have to be a Packers fan to appreciate the history. It was all laid out so well. I enjoyed the chronology of the exhibits because it made the information more easily digestible. Very beautifully designed, incorporating authentic Packers gear and trophies, and very well-planned!
Melinda — Google review
If you haven't been there regardless of who is your football team this place is a place every football lover should see. This amazing facility is like no other. The dedication that they took making sure the history is told correctly and respectfully is like nothing else. I have great respect for the GreenBay Packers and all the people responsible for telling the amazing story of Mr. Vince Lombardi and the beautiful Lombardi trophy! Had an amazing time and learned a great deal of history. Thank you GreenBay we love you!
Cathi N — Google review
While I’m not a fan, I appreciate the history of the Packers. This museum brought back some memories of watching the Favre and Rodger’s games. It was great to see Sterling Sharpe getting some love.
Mike W — Google review
As an Eagles fan (Go Birds) who was born and raised in Chicago, I didn't want to like anything Packers. But...not only did I like the Hall of Fame and Museum, I loved it. There is no question, Lambeau is football Mecca, and this part of the experience is amazing. This place is for all fans of football and is a gold standard for a team's pride and history. If you happen to be in Green Bay for business or a game, please do the tour and HOF. You will not be sorry.
Bill L — Google review
If you happen to be in Green Bay. You must stop by the Packers shrine, Lambeau Field. On my bucket list and I wasn't disappointed. Tours to see behind the frozen tundra, locker room, on field and in the stands. The tour was ninety minutes long. The Packer Hall of fame is awesome! So much history. A souvenir shop and a large restaurant to boot. First class tour.
Bruce Z — Google review
If you are going to see a game at Lambeau, you have to take the tour and see the HOF! It is worth the price of admission! Also, try to book the trolley tour in advance!

This place is absolutely amazing! If you ever get the chance to see ot in person you must! Whether your a Packers Fan or not this is a must see. Every thing about it is amazing , the food is incredible, and the prices are reasonable. This was on our bucket list trips and was the best. Everyone there was super nice and very very clean. I love that!

How can you even properly rate Lambeau as a extreme packer fan? Lambeau is a first rate venue with the roots that go back to the 60s. Great updates throughout the years, huge atrium with a great restaurant. A tour is a must for any NFL fan. Be sure to enter the gate they give you, especially for upper level. Otherwise you will never find it. I have been to nearly two thirds of NFL stadiums and this one is one of the easiest to navigate.

The atmosphere on game days is unmatched!!! You'll find Wisconsinites tailgating and having a great time with lots of food and beer, if that's your thing. People are so friendly, staff is so helpful here, and it's always a great time. The Pro Shop is big and nicely laid out, well organized, and eye catching.
Katie — Google review
We went to our first Packer game!! And we even saw friends. We went to a tailgate before and checked out a bit of the grounds too. We sat at the North end zone and had a great experience. It was fun to be in such a hallowed sports venue, and I’m looking forward to getting back again soon. The ticketing process was pretty easy, it was the longest line for a men’s restroom I’ve ever seen. And as long as you park at a house with easy out on Oneida and leave at the two minute warning, you won’t hit traffic.
David P — Google review
Bucket list! It was a great experience at Lambeau. We went to a game and then did a full stadium tour the next day! Our tour guide Jeff was super friendly! We had a great time there. Anyone visiting different stadiums, this is one to go to!
Brianna A — Google review
I enjoyed going to the Green Bay Packers game at the stadium. I do not like that. They do not offer free bench seat covers or some sort of better offering for comfort while sitting down for any games. You pay a lot of money to attend an event, and they can’t even provide adequate comfortability. The food vendors are extremely expensive, but in comparison to other football arenas that I have went to. In order to get in, staff are relatively inefficient and not quick to expedite people‘s arrivals.
Syd W — Google review
Lambeau Field was an incredible experience! It’s amazing to finally check off a true bucket list item and visit such a historic stadium. The atmosphere was electric, and both Eagles and Packers fans were great—friendly, passionate, and full of energy. Overall, I had an awesome time and hope to be back again one day!
Chris R — Google review
What they say is true, packer fans are welcoming and friendly, we had a great time here (GO BIRDS). Stadium overall was ok, I'd likely give it 3 stars (bench seats, bleacher style) and super steep steps, we even had to help an elderly lady "climb" back up when leaving. Beverage and food pricing seemed reasonable and the entry/ exit was smooth

Absolutely stunning interior. Can't get over how beautiful it was. Perfect location. There's plenty to do within walking distance if you don't want to wait for the parking ramp traffic to subside. Only complaint is there was nowhere to purchase a bottle of water during a graduation ceremony. You'd think they'd make a lot of money if they sold water bottles, soda and simple concession items.

We came to watch Beauty & the Beast. While the musical was amazing. I was very disappointed in the fact that we didn't have much time to use the bathroom and there were lines and then come to find out, if we didn't get to our seats before they closed the doors we would have to wait until they deemed it was ok to let us back in. I understand that is for the other patrons but for the price you charge, I would expect a bit more courteous behavior towards the customers. The prices for water, wine and snacks are OUTRAGEOUS. Make sure you eat beforehand.

Love this venue! Not a bad seat in the house. Every show I have seen is top-notch and so much fun! The staff is so helpful and polite. I highly recommend! You’ll love it!

Saw the Masters of Illusion here. Was a good show. All the staff for the event were very nice and helpful.

Great venue, all seats have a good unobstructed view of the stage. Lots of parking, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. Really good acoustics to. Only down side that I see is wheelchair access is very limited. So be sure you specify this when you buy tickets.

Loved it! Easy parking right across the street, great seats no matter where you sit, workers were friendly & helpful, line for drinks & bathroom at intermission moved quickly, prices reasonable. Had a great time. Can't wait to come back!

First time at this venue, & the Killer Queen Experience was an incredibly amazing show! Only negative was the endlessly long rows of seating (we were directly in the middle, front row, 1st balcony section). It was a long way to inch through the multitude of people seated to get to our spots. Once there, we didn't dare try to get out, so we were stuck for the duration, unable to leave for a drink or bathroom break. Very clastrophobic feeling. Never again, would I purchase tickets in similar seats. A break in the middle area for access out would make show-goers much safer & more comfortable.

Historical place museum
Sights & Landmarks
The Hearthstone Historic House Museum, formerly known as the Henry J. Rogers House, is a remarkable 19th-century residence in Appleton, Wisconsin. It was the first house in the world to be powered by a centrally located hydroelectric station using the Edison system. Today, it has been transformed into a museum that offers guided tours and exhibits showcasing its historical significance.
First visit. Such a great experience! We took the traditional tour around the museum during the Holidays, the house is decorated so beautifully with Christmas ornaments. Truly beautiful no matter where one looks. Our guide Lori was wonderful, she is very knowledgeable and threw in fun facts during the tour. Each room has its own charm and the history of the house is very interesting. The staff is also very friendly, we had a great time from beginning to end!

Our family had a truly wonderful experience at the Hearthstone Historic House Museum. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully preserved architecture and the rich history inside the home. What really made the visit exceptional, though, was our tour guide, George. George was absolutely phenomenal—knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly patient with our four boys, who had a lot of questions. He answered every one of them with kindness and enthusiasm, turning the tour into a memorable learning experience for all of us. His passion for the history of the home and the people who lived there really brought everything to life. We were very impressed with the museum itself—each room is carefully curated and full of fascinating artifacts. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend a visit. It’s a gem of a museum, and if you’re lucky enough to have George as your guide, you’re in for a real treat.

We did the tour of this house today....and are so happy we decided to stop by. Our tour guide was very friendly, and she knew so much about this place. This house is incredibly beautiful, and you can tell that a LOT of love and care went into building and restoring this beautiful example of high end late 1800s homes. The story behind this house is worth the tour alone, and getting to actually walk through it was a real treat. If you find yourself in Appleton, and have a couple of hours to kill, we definitely recommend stopping by and taking the tour....it is totally worth it.

We were recommended to visit from our friend and realtor Marissa Miller. We purchased our tickets online about an hour prior to our start time. George welcomed us immediately and was so friendly! Our tour guide Juli was phenomenal! She was just as welcoming and kind as George and did a great job! So much history to learn not only about the house but also Appleton as a whole. Highly recommend stopping in if you can!

For fans of true crime and history who crave something unique this is, without question, the best interactive tour available. If you want a tour that respects the subject matter while delivering a truly unforgettable, top-tier event, you must go to the serial killer tour times. The entire experience is thrilling. Easily one of the best experiences of our lives so far!! I loved it and he loved it!! You all did so good 🥰🥰🥰🥰 our young detective was eccentric in all the right ways perfectly fit for his role! As well as everyone else but I don’t wanna spoil it for you!

What an amazing place. The tour states that it's about an hour, but you could tell how in love the house and the history our house was, and th tour was about an hour and 45 mins. Every detail of the house is preserved and it's fascinating that through varied ownership how much remained original. Even though the items displayed aren't specifically original to the house it's all time period correct, and donated from locals to showcase their respect for the house. Room to room there is so much to see in every corner. Our guide knew every knook of the house, gave time for photos, and really wanted to ensure each member on the tour had time to appreciate the environment around them. Entry was around 12$s per person and I saw comments saying it was pricey in some reviews. You can't eat at Burger King for that price, or see a film. This is well worth the money but knowing it preserves such a beautiful landmark is more than enough for the asking admission.

Beautiful, well kept historic property! The guided tour was very nice and we gleaned a lot of information. I recommend this highly to history lovers. There are also hands on exhibits for youngsters at the end of the tour in the basement.

Recently, I spent about 1 1/2 days visiting the area and casino. I decided to stay overnight. The room cost was $144.50 with a players card. The entire property is beautiful! The rooms are gorgeous. I highly recommend this casino/hotel. The reasons I did not give a 5 star review are free play could have been a bit more generous, discount on food would have been nice and my first room had no hot water.
Diane R — Google review
In short this is a fully automated casino, no human dealers, but its clean, pleasant, and honestly if your just looking for a fun time with a few friends its more than enough. The long story is simple - no human dealers is just boring and the entertainment is as average as it can be but its clean, safe, and afforded me some fun. Myself and a large group had some free time one Saturday evening and decided to visit. It was clean and safe which if you've ever visited casinos that operate in more rural areas earns a star on its own. Now I have grief with that its not advertised anywhere that they don't have human dealers. On top of that there's one automated roulette table, one automated blackjack table, and one automated craps table. Besides that its all slots. If I wanted to sit 5 feet apart from my friends while an AI generated dealer deals me cards on a giant screen I'd just do it at home on my phone. On top of this one of the automated blackjack terminals (idk what to call it but a spot at the big automated table) broke with 80 dollars of my friends money in it and it took staff 20 minutes to resolve the issue despite even talking to someone at security. Staff was generally nice outside the usual young adult/teenage angst which could be found at the restaurants. The food from the restaurants is severely overpriced with a McDonalds down the road but I do concede its good just overpriced. I did not stay at the hotel so I have no notes for there except that parking is abundant which is nice. Now beside those grievances it really was pleasant. Some people won money some people lost it, felt generally average for a casino. the slots had good diversity and I got to watch a few bonuses and small jackpots occur while I was there. I enjoyed myself enough I'd give the location 4 stars if they just advertised the lack of human dealers - not doing so is a little manipulative and should be addressed which is sad because outside that it really is such a nice location considering its a little out there. Or if you're going to be fully automated give me a few more blackjack, roulette, and craps tables - waiting in line essentially to play blackjack is as fun as watching someone else play with your present on Christmas.

What can I say it's a casino and that place especially hold a dear spot in my heart. It was the first casino I went to when I first came to live in this state and where my old roomie went on the spur of the moment. Had so much fun.. highly recommend going.

Stevens Point Brewery, located in Stevens Point, WI, is one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the United States. The brewery offers regular tours where visitors can witness the beer-making process, explore the warehouse, and sample a variety of craft beers, ciders, and soda. Additionally, they are known for their Snow Pilot beer and offer convenient curb-side pickup.
What a fun place! The tour costs $10 and you get drink tickets and a glass worth over $20 total. Great vibe to the place. It’s the second oldest continuously run brewery in the US!
LAURA H — Google review
Loved the huge selection of beers and ciders. We went on a tour and it was interesting but wished it had a little more history of the brewery rather than general info about beer. Live music outside on the day we went so that was great. Got to sit outside, enjoy the beautiful day, and there were even a few pups outside with their families too. Will go again!

We took the 1PM tour with Pierce! He was awesome! Highly recommend if you are in the area. So much history to learn about this place! Also, great selection of beer. We sat outside to enjoy the weather for a while! We will definitely come back!

I have been through Steven’s Point many times. This was our first time stopping at the Point Brewery… Why did I wait so long??!! It’s a cool little stop in a residential neighborhood that seems like an unexpected area for a brewery. We stopped in just to see the place. We didn’t have time for the tour, but wanted to check out the buildings, tasting room retail shop. Let’s just say… this place is worth a stop. Our recommendation . Buy the tour ticket for $10. You get a free pint glass and 4 sample coupons. Get your self four 7oz samples in the tasting room which is perfect. And less expensive since a sample costs $6 on its own if you buy it at the bar. If you don’t use the sample coupons you can turn them in for a bottle of beer in the gift shop. Two coupons gets you one bottle. The tasting room is reminiscent of an old world bar and worth the stop on its own. There is a large outside area for sitting with great tables, and ambiance. Stop in at the point brewery. Worth your time even if going a few miles out of the way. And, you can get their beer by the bottle or case in the retail shop. And they have many varieties. More than I ever knew!!
Mike R — Google review
Great place to learn and sample. $10.00 tour, 4 samples and a souvenir glass, can’t be beat! There’s a small gift shop, an outdoor beer garden and a really nice bar. Plenty of beer and cider varieties to try.
Debby S — Google review
We attended a Suprise birthday party here for a family member last Sunday. We found the Tap Room cool and inviting - a great place to take your friends and have a beer and watch an event on one of their large TVs. The tap room was connected with both their gift shop and a large, indoor eating room, which looked out through a wall of windows and doors to a private, fenced in area, where we had our private event. The tap room offers a selection of beer and tasty sodas, plus pizza and a few snacks. Reasonable prices! We were allowed to bring our own food for our party. The outdoor area was fenced in and featured both tables and sturdy chairs in the under roof patio area, plus some picnic tables under umbrellas in the grassy area. The facility offered corn hole games and a huge Jenga set for the kids to play with. Good service from the friendly staff made the event easy to happen. Clean bathrooms. Wheel chair accessible. I wish we lived closer because I'd make it a point to drop by occasionally.
John J — Google review
This is one of my favorite brewery tours. It’s fun for all ages. You get a pint glass and get to sample beer, cider or sodas. I did not make a reservation for the tour but it’s recommended. Outdoor patio is fantastic. Carry in food is allowed.

Located in Wausau, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum (LYWAM) is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and nature lovers. Established in 1976, this museum offers free admission year-round and features both permanent and rotating exhibits that showcase art depicting the natural world. One of its most renowned exhibitions is Birds in Art, which has garnered international acclaim. In addition to indoor galleries, visitors can explore the sculpture garden and enjoy artist-made snow sculptures during winter.
I love coming here. They are always rotating the exhibits so every time you go there is something new. Staff are friendly and the building is always clean and looks very well taken care of.

This museum is a gem. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s free but a donation is always appreciated. My 8 year old granddaughter was with me and liked it. We did some crafts in the kids area. In addition to the galleries inside there is a rooftop and sculpture garden.

Wonderful! My first time visiting and it was during the Birds in Art exhibit. I'm a bird watcher so I absolutely loved it! I may have to return again before I leave town. If I'm ever in Wisconsin again I hope it's during the Birds in Art annual exhibit. Love that it is free admission too.

I've been going to the Leigh Yawkey Museum since I was a kid. I've always enjoyed my visits. Heck one time I even had some of my art hanging on the walls there. Maybe it'll happen again sometime. I've seen lots of cool things there over the years. My favorite thus far has been the M.C. Escher exhibit. Today I saw a real Basquiat. No lie! Go there and check it out. Here are some other cool things I saw today!

This is the retail store to the huge cheese factory across the street. Besides cheese, the store has salamis, bacon, whey powder, ice cream, honey, jams, cheese knives. Nice selection of a variety of cheeses. Very clean.

Great place to go for some amazing collection of Wisconsin cheese and cheese curds, not too far from the highway, must try.
Parth B — Google review
I agree with others—the cheese curds at Mullins are no longer what they used to be. These aren't the fresh, squeaky curds we’ve loved for years. Instead, they’re now sliced blocks of cheese, and they actually suggest microwaving them to "get the squeak" back. What the heck?! At over $6 a pound, I expect fresh, quality curds—not this disappointing substitute. Sadly, Mullins just isn’t the same anymore, and I won’t be making it a regular stop going forward. They’ve built a new, much larger store that feels more like a tourist attraction than the traditional, small-town cheese factory it once was. Even the scrap ends were over $5 a pound. Unfortunately, it’s no longer the place to go for delicious, authentic curds.
Courtney J — Google review
I love the variety of different cheeses and cheese curds they have. Each person in my family likes something different, and there's always something for each of us.The fresh fried cheese curds are the best. I love that there's more flavored ones now. I'm pregnant, and the dill flavored cheese curds is one of my cravings. It's not far from where I'm located so it's easy to send my husband for.

Wildwood Zoo

Easygoing locale with gardens, natural habitats & a drive-through exhibit of large animals.
A great little stop if you’re in the area and want to stretch your legs! This FREE zoo isn’t huge, but it’s well-kept and has 20+ animals—maybe more. We spent about 35 minutes walking through and really enjoyed the interactive water education area. It’s air-conditioned (which was a lifesaver in the nearly 100-degree heat) and full of fun, hands-on activities for kids, like buttons to make clouds rain and blockades to change water flow. We didn’t catch the bears due to the heat, but there was still plenty to see. Definitely worth a visit for a short, family-friendly outing.

We had a wonderful time at the zoo! 🦅🐻 You can see an amazing variety of wildlife, including majestic bald eagles, Kodiak and Alaska bears, playful foxes, and so much more. The place feels so fresh and open, with clean paths and plenty of shady spots to enjoy. It’s a great place to explore nature, learn about the animals, and just relax with family or friends. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a fun, refreshing outdoor experience! 🌿✨
Mutia A — Google review
We have been going since before we had kids, and our oldest is 16. The zoo has gotten better and better, more animals, more exhibits, more great, helpful staff but has remained an awesome place to visit. Feeding the deer was an amazing experience 20+ years ago and our children are still amazed by it; now they get to feed the giraffes they were loving it. The parakeet exhibit was a hit too. The birds were so friendly, landed on everyone, everywhere, but nipped a little too. Our youngest didn't want to leave the exhibit, let alone the zoo. Even though it was raining. Totally worth it!

Normally not a huge fan of zoos. This is a refuge and rehab that is beautiful. The animals are well supported and exhibit normal behaviors! The Kodiak exhibit is incredible. Well worth the beautiful walk through the small park!

Very small but nice zoo. Not a whole lot of animals but what was there was neat to see. The cats were mostly hiding due to the hot day. The bear enclosure was cool to watch, they seemed very happy. Only took about 2 hours of a slow walk. There is an indoor children’s activity center but we did not checkout. Very much worth stopping and giving a donation to.

This was a great place to stretch our legs on our road trip. The free zoo has a walking part and a driving section. There were only 2 groups of animals on the driving section. The habitats are nice for a smaller zoo.

We made a trip here before making our drive back home. Admission is free. Paths made easy for wheelchair to explore. Benches provided if you want to just sit and enjoy the nature surroundings. We didn’t get to see a lot of the animals at the time on our visit but we enjoyed the peaceful walk through.

Chaos Water Park is an indoor water park located inside Metropolis Resort, offering a variety of attractions suitable for all ages. The park features a lazy river, multiple water slides including a pitch-black tube slide and a slower body slide, as well as an aquatic playground with a giant bucket that splashes everyone below when full. There are also areas for water basketball, lily pad climbing, and even a toddler section with spraying fun.
This place was awesome! Super affordable to get in as well as food/drink. They had a ton of floaties and we never had to wait to get one for the slides or lazy river - even on a super packed Saturday. Hot tub was great for the adults but a little too hot for the kids. Slides were a little slow/tame for my 12 year old. Overall we spent over 6 hours at this place and the kids were in bed early. it was definitely worth the stop.

Had a fun Friday night. We had the place to ourselves for about 30 minutes as we went in at 4pm opening. Didn't really see people arriving until closer to 5. Didn't get very busy during our visit. I'm sure other days are different. Worth a visit regardless of age but younger kids will probably enjoy it the most. Slides are fun for older kids and the lazy river is good for everyone else.

You guys are good. Although I would recommend adding more stuff, Since my child got bored easily since there was barely any stuff. The slides are good and so is the pool. A lot of balls which made it good since we played Monkey in the Middle but water themed with my son and others.

I really enjoyed this waterpark! It is located inside the Metropolis Hotel in Eau Claire. It's a great waterpark to go to throughout the year since it's located inside. It is perfect for young kids and has several different areas for different ages. It has a smaller play area for the younger kids, a lazy river, a bigger/slightly deeper area for the older kids with a basketball hoop and 2 slides for the bigger kids/adults. It also has tables and chairs everywhere so there's always a place to sit and set your stuff down. There is also a place called Monkey in the Middle Express (pizza) that's located inside the waterpark area so you don't have to leave to get food or drinks if you don't want to. Very pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back and enjoy this waterpark again with our kids!!

It is also home to the Chippewa Valley Museum and the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp Museum, providing insights into local history.
We had been to this playground 6 years ago on a family trip to Minnesota. We took a family trip to Eau Claire this weekend for a wedding. The boys were so excited to go back to this playground. My youngest, who I was pregnant with during our first visit also had an absolute blast. Some of their favorites are the two big slides and the zip line.

This is a great park/playground for the kids when it’s warm, but completely unusable when it gets cold. The playground equipment is fantastic. There is a lot for the kids to do and tons of different things to play with. Unfortunately, if there is ever a freeze risk (and this being Wisconsin, there is a risk half of the year) the bathrooms close. In the end, it doesn’t matter how nice the playground is if the bathrooms are not usable.

The National Eagle Center, situated in downtown Wabasha along the Mississippi River, is a renowned non-profit organization dedicated to educating visitors about bald eagles. The center offers year-round access and features an observation deck with stunning views of the river. It serves as an important landmark in Minnesota, providing valuable insights into cultural, natural, and historical aspects of the region. Visitors can enjoy engaging exhibits and informative presentations while also learning about American history.
Just visited and wow! What a gem of a museum! Lots of interactive elements to keep little ones occupied and very educational. How cool to see the eagle ambassadors up close in the viewing room! We upgraded our ticket to include the program and are so glad we did. Grant was exceptional and clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about eagles and conservation. Highly recommend!

Such a marvelous place to visit to learn about the natives who once called this town home and to see and learn more about our national bird. The employees are so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We had a wonderful visit, just wished we came earlier, but we happened upon this jewel of a place. They have scopes where you can see the eagles in the trees across the way. There are exhibits that pay respect to so many things eagle related and American, including how women contributed to the military. They tie it in beautifully. I'd love to visit again with my grandchildren. Kids and adults who really enjoy learning would likely really enjoy this place.

I love this place! There is an informed staff who are pleasant and obviously really enjoy their work there. They have live eagles you can see (but behid glass so perfectly safe), examples of other wildlife (not live) so as to give an environmental look. Lots of information about eagles and how we can help preserve their habitat to keep them safe. There is also a wonderful display of Native American culture and the part the eagles play in it.

It was my 2nd time visiting by boat. Really nice dock and ramp. Staff were nice and helpful. Definitely book the behind the scenes ( I didn't do this but ive heard good things ) kid friendly and book worm friendly. A lot of info to read. Especially upstairs. Overall loved it...!!!

What a gem while traveling up the mighty Mississippi, beautiful building right on the water with bald eagles flying overhead. Had a display of one of the recovery birds at the interactive session. Top-notched facilities and super friendly staff. This is not a national park, but presentation and quality are right there. Definitely worth the stop while heading north.

The National Eagle Center visit was extraordinary! I booked the behind the scenes tour, and we were blown away. We were up close with the majestic ambassadors. Thanks to Tiffany, we learned quite a bit about each bird and also created enrichment for 3 of the ambassadors. We were so enamored that we adopted Angel, Perseus, and Was’aka! I would encourage you to visit the National Eagle Center. There are so many exhibits to see. They have many different tours including cruises, school field trips, and overnight field trips. I’m sure you will also find a memorable keepsake at the gift store.

This is one of my favorite parks in one of my favorite small MN towns of Wabasha. It is an immaculately kept park that is right beside the Eagles museum. A spectacular view. A beautiful spot for a photo shoot.

I loved the eagles inside that we were able to be close to. The person telling about them was very knowledgeable. I did think there was more to the center but not disappointed.

The BPG Company did a wonderful job getting us prepared for a lovely kayak trip in the gorgeous Chippewa delta! I’ve driven past this location many times and always wanted to see it from the water. It did not disappoint! My family ranging from 9-44 years of age had a great time exploring, splashing and floating down the delta path! We are going to do it again when the waters higher. We’re also planing a kayaking/camping trip with BPG too!

Wylie was a fantastic guide— very knowledgeable and encouraging toward me and my first-timer companion. The route we took was absolutely gorgeous, too. Saw a few beaver lodges, a turtle, and even had a bald eagle fly over our heads! If you’re ever in Wabasha or any nearby towns, it’d be a real shame to skip out on this experience. Broken Paddle was the best part of our vacation, hands down. Thanks again, guys! Keep up the good work!

Cole & Drew took good care of us. A thorough paddle lesson and Cole’s patience made for a very successful sunset paddle on the Mississippi River. Our sunset paddle was one of the highlights of our trip to the area and it was a unique way to see the area from a different point of view from the water.

We had another great experience with Broken Paddle. Booking is very easy. Communication is timely and thorough. They go through safety first and then it is time to enjoy. Taylor was our guide and he was so patient with the inexperienced, easy going, and shared so much wonderful information about the nature and biology of the river as we went along. Always checking to see how we were doing. It was a great experience and we are eager to go again. Thank you so much.

Really lovely spot! Friendly owner and the ciders were delicious!! My favorite was the Honeycrisp, but the Red Hawk was also really tasty (and spiced like apple pie). On weekends they have lawn games and a zip line for kids, and apple picking in the fall too! Great spot!
Hannah E — Google review
We came by on a Sunday in late October, probably the last weekend of good weather for the year. Fall colors were at peak on the drive to the cidery, and the orchard looked beautiful as well. We found the place to be busy but not cram-packed; there was seating indoors and out for people to enjoy their drinks. We had only one person ahead of us in line, so the ordering process went fast. We ordered a cider flight, which included four drinks; at this point in the season, they had five to choose from. We also ordered some cookies and little apple strudels from the bakery case in the adjoining room, which also had different apple bags available for purchase. Several of the apples had a samples available, kept under a dome to keep away the fruit flies that were swirling around. The ciders and pastries were tasty. I browsed the shop afterward. This would be a good place to gift shop. They had jams and jellies, home decorative items that kept to a wine theme, and of course, their ciders and wines.

Stopped here over the weekend during a little day trip from the Twin Cities. I believe the gentleman there said they are new owners. Enjoyed a glass of hard cider while we sat outside with our dog. Bought a bottle of wine and a bag of Honey Gold apples. The apples are DELICIOUS and I thought the price was excellent! Friendly and cute little store.

Crystal Cave

Nature & Parks
Caverns & Caves
Geological wonder 70 feet underground, with bats, 1-hour tours, gem panning, trail, picnics & shop.
Great experience and the tour guide had little fun facts about each area. There was history, some humor, some educational pieces - fun all around. The cave was neat and stays 50 degrees year round. I wore a light zip up hoodie and it was fine. Gift shop has a lot of fun things. We did the big bucket of fossils and gemstones panning, and it was worth it because both of my kiddos got to scoop and pan several times and got lots of large and small rocks and fossils to take home.
Alice M — Google review
The cave was really cool, but the tour itself was geared more towards kids. It would have been nice for the tour guide to bring us to a spot to take photos or offer to take photos of families/groups. Bathrooms were clean, and the fish fossil wall was really cool!
Grace — Google review
Took my 3 littles because they LOVE rocks and I actually enjoyed the tour myself! Unlike other cave tours I've done, this tour was far superior!! Usually the cave smells incredibly bad and the walkways are very slippery, but that's the not the case here! The steps and ramps were covered with a carpet, so it wasn't slick at all. The cave also did NOT have a bad smell at all. Our tour guide was Savannah and she was engaged and entertaining! The tour is an hour and goes by quickly, I could have enjoyed a few more minutes to take in each cave room. There is a lot to do on the property, they have several picnic tables and even a covered pavilion. They also do gemstone mining which feels great splashing in the water on a hot day! There are several prairie & wood trails to walk with plaques teaching you about the scene. They also have a mini golf course!! Bathrooms are only available in the lodge separate from the gift shop or down 1 level from the gift shop in the tour debriefing room.

We booked our tour online. When we arrived they gave us keepsake tickets. The tour was an hour long. Hannah, the guide was very knowledgeable. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms in the out building were the cleanest public rest rooms I have ever been in. Gift shop was extensive. We were encouraged to fill out a postcard to family or friend and they would mail it. Specialty Museums
Red Wing Store in Red Wing, MN is a chain retailer that offers a wide range of handcrafted leather boots suitable for both work and leisure. Located about 1 mile east of downtown, the store provides stunning views of central Red Wing and the Mississippi River. Visitors can drive to the top or take a hike along marked trails. The store boasts a spacious interior with a huge variety of boots, apparel, banners, socks, and gloves.
Three floors. Spacious. Bathrooms Clean (actually smelled nice). Fun to see the world’s largest boot. Upstairs is a museum. First floor is a full-service shoe store. Lower level is outlet and self-serve. The upper-level museum was interesting. Fun to see the history and how their shoes came to be and have evolved. Will be back

Stopped by the Red Wing Shoe Store in Red Wing, MN, and had a great experience! The staff was super friendly and knew their stuff, helping me find the perfect pair of boots. The store has a cool vibe, and seeing the world’s largest boot was a fun bonus. They also have a museum upstairs that gives you a peek into the company’s history. If you’re into quality footwear or just passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Akshay R — Google review
I recently visited the Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum and it was an incredible experience! The highlight was seeing the world's largest boot, a unique and impressive sight. The museum exhibit on the second floor offered an insightful look into the history and craftsmanship of Red Wing Shoes. I was also thrilled to find the outlet store on the lower level, where items were marked 30-70% off. Although the selection was more skewed towards men's items, which was a bit disappointing as a female shopper, I understand that their products are often marketed more towards men. Overall, it was a delightful and educational visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in unique attractions and great deals on quality footwear.

A great place to visit. Check out the museum and outlet! Don’t miss the computerized detailed sizing and support map of your own feet! Herman helped us do the precise measurements and learn about insoles. Get a perfect fit in your current shoes, or get new ones at great prices.

Anna did a fantastic job helping my wife with her hiking boots. She was friendly and patient. When there was an issue with the boots she exchanged them for a similar boot with no hesitation. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new pair of high quality shoes. Thanks Red Wing!!
Eric K — Google review
We came to the Red Wing flagship store from Minneapolis after a real good friend’s strong recommendation, hoping to find a good pair of work shoes for my husband, who is an aircraft maintenance engineer. At first, everything was pleasant, we saw a female staff member measuring a customer’s foot with the in-store device, so we took some time to visit the museum section. When she became available, we asked if she could measure my husband’s foot. She kindly asked us to wait a moment, then assigned a male staff member to help us. From the beginning of our interaction, his attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. When we explained that we wanted to measure my husband’s foot for purchasing shoes, his response was cold and simply to let my husband to take shoes off twice. The tone made us uncomfortable. After my husband removed his shoes, the male staff member told us the measuring device wasn’t working and directed us to just look at shoes. Knowing there were two devices in the store (and having just seen the female staff use the other one), I asked if we could use the other machine. He seemed surprised, then said his pad (as a controller) was the problem and he would go find another device. We followed his suggestion to browse the shoes, but by this point, our experience had already been ruined. We quickly left without buying anything. It felt as though this staff member did not want to serve us from the start. Even when I suggested using another device, his response was dismissive. Before making our request, we had no interaction with any staff, and nothing in our behavior could have been considered offensive. This left us wondering whether the poor attitude was related to how we looked or who we were, rather than our request itself. As the flagship store of the brand, I believe employees here should be more mindful of their service, because their actions directly shape the brand’s image in customers’ minds. This experience completely changed our impression of Red Wing.

Treasure Island Resort & Casino

Resort hotel
Casinos & Gambling
Modern rooms in a Caribbean-themed casino resort with a golf course, bowling alley & indoor pool.
Attended a meeting in an event room. Lunch was marginal for the price we paid for the event. Meeting was clean. Sound system was good. Lighting was good. Plenty of table space. Took a short walk through the casino. Maybe I’m missing something but it seemed small. Lost six bucks

We attended a concert in the Event Center and ate dinner at Tradewinds. Cannot rate rooms as we did not stay overnight. Tradewinds was great. I recently broke my ankle and am using crutches, the staff member that was seating us made sure we were seated close to the buffet without us requesting it. In the Event Center, a security personal came to me and told me to move my chair out if I needed to be more comfortable. When walking to our vehicle, a shuttle drive yelled out to us to wait and he'd be right there to pick us up. I feel the staff went out of their way to make our night enjoyable. So impressed!! The food was delicious and a great variety. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE experience!!! I was sent an offer that id receive $25 free play. Got there and had to park a million miles from the door and had to walk down sidewalks with sprinklers spraying on us. Next i got to wait in line for 20 min to find out that now since i just waited in line so long that ive missed out on the $25 free play!!!! Then i wanted to leave because the place was dirty and the employees all seemed upset and had attitudes. I play a slot machine and hit the bonus free spins while betting $1.98 a spin so i thought this should win me a few bucks right?? WRONG!! The machine malfunctions and doesnt give me the spins. I hit "start feature" and the game does nothing so i hit spin again and get a regular spin...no free spins, not even 1 when i had just won 20 free spins. I complain and they say theyll send a tech over to look into this. After about 20 min i decide screw this and walk away. I go play another slot machine and start losing and i had deposited $100 so i go to cash out my $69 and I hit collect and then theres a yes or no button, i hit the yes and the machine re-spins at 6 times what ive been betting and i dont win anything at all and the machine takes another $5.28 from my $69. NOW IM PISSED because ive been RIPPED OFF BY TREASURE ISLAND 3 TIMES TONIGHT!!!!!!!! They send a mgr to talk to me and he refunds my $5.28 but ill have to wait for "john" to come pay me since the manager has no cash. I wait for ??? yep you guessed it...about 20 min and i so pissed off that i say to hell with this and i leave. TREASURE ISLAND RIPPED ME OFF 3 TIMES AND AT LEAST 2 OF THEM WERE PURPOSEFUL, IM CONVINCED OF IT!!! This casino will scam you and say whatever to get you there and then hope you spend money with no shot to really win anything. TREASURE ISLAND SELLS A LIE!!! THEYRE FAKE LYING RIP OFFS AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL!!! Do not go there unless you like being treated like a loser that should just give them your money at the door and then turn around and leave before even placing a bet. IM SO PISSED OFF AND I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE AND I ONLY LIVE 20 MIN AWAY!!!!!

I didn't stay at the casino. I attended an out door concert(a lot of walking, and limited beverage choices otherwisea great outdoor venue), then went inside for a cocktail and the music in the lounge. The casino seemed clean, and open. The band wasn't great, but fun. It very warm inside. The break for the set was quite long and we did end up leaving to get closer to home.

GOT SKIN INFECTION AFTER HOT TUB! Friend and I visited Treasure Island hotel on 11/08/25 and bad experience started right away at the check in desk. I booked a Non smoking room and we were given a smoking one and we were informed that that wasn’t guaranteed. The room was $350 for one night. When we entered the room, the air was absolutely unbearable and we could not even bring our bags inside let along sleep in that room. After returning to the front desk asking for a new room, employees told us we had no other choice but to put an air machine there for an hour. So we had to wait an hour after our check in time so they air up the room. After we returned to the room, the smoking odor was not gone, but toned down a notch. The smell was so strong that all of our lag gave for a smoke smell after one night stand. The next morning, fond and I used a hot tub in a pool area. We checked out, by the end of the day I had an irritable spot on my leg and the next day had to check it out at urgent care because of unbelievable pain. I was diagnosed with cellulitis (skin infection) and after telling my doctor that I recently visited a hot tub, he confirmed that some hot tubs lack correct chemicals to kill bacteria and unfortunately that is how I got the infection. Never again will stay at that place. Stay at this hotel at your own health risk.

Tried to remove half a star for reasons, but it wouldn't let me. Casino. So nice to be in a casino not filled with smoke. Most places have a tiny non-smoking section separated by failing magic. This place puts all the smoke in a container room. Not a wide variety of games, but enough slots and table games to loose all your money at. Staff was friendly. The concert venue outside was great. Nothing special, but no complaints. There is an awesome kid drop area with right security that let us leave our little ones to play for an hour or two. When we got back they were upset they had to leave! $15 an hour was worth it. The food is overpriced, of course, but generally good. The cheeseburgers in the bowling alley beat the other area, but we're a bit more expensive. The pool area is mostly great. Two bigger water slides, a basketball area, a lazy river, and a little area for kids. A swim up bar for grown ups as well. Only complaint was none of the hot tubs allowed kids in them. (We snuck in one anyhow though). The entire area has a beautiful terrace view as well. No complaints with the room. Perfectly fine. It's about 25 extra minutes to get here then our local casino, but we'll worth it!

We went here to gamble. Games were incredibly tight. No wins, no bonus, just really bad. They sent us all the way to the back of the facility to get our gift and the gift shop was closed. We were really pissed after walking all that way. Overall, not worth the trip coming here. Won't be back.

What a beautiful state park in MN located right on the St Croix river! There are plenty of trails to choose from even when it is busy you can find yourself alone on a trail. The lower path the river is flat a beautiful while some other trails have elevation gain. Definitely a state park that shouldn’t be missed!!

Such a gorgeous place for camping and hiking! My wife and I went this last weekend for a night, and we had a blast hiking down to the river from our tent site. Only downside was that I accidentally booked the backpacking site without considering how far we’d have to hike to it from the car after arriving at 10:30pm, but we figured it out. Nice fishermen along the beaches and in their boats as well.

It’s a calm and peaceful area with the best views of nature. A perfect spot for camping ⛺️, hiking, or just a relaxing walk. I went with my friends, and we really enjoyed the sounds of nature — it felt so refreshing
Swetha V — Google review
We recently went on a bike ride around Afton State Park, and overall it was a mix of beautiful scenery with some frustrating challenges. The natural beauty of the area is undeniable—the rolling landscape, peaceful setting, and wide-open views make it a wonderful place to spend time outdoors. We were especially surprised that there weren’t any bugs during our visit, which made the ride much more enjoyable. The highlight of the evening was definitely the sunset—it was absolutely spectacular and made for a perfect backdrop to end the day. Unfortunately, the trails and parking lot left a lot to be desired. The paved trails are in very poor condition. In fact, they were some of the most uneven, cracked, and bumpy trails I’ve ever ridden on. It was difficult to relax and enjoy the ride because we had to constantly watch for rough patches and broken pavement. The parking lot wasn’t in great shape either, which added to the overall impression that the infrastructure here has been neglected. My biggest complaint is the lack of upkeep on the paved trails. Considering visitors pay for passes, it feels like some of that money could and should be reinvested into making the park more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. A fresh paving job would go a long way in improving the biking experience and encouraging people to keep coming back. In short, Afton State Park has incredible natural beauty, but the poor condition of the paved trails really takes away from the experience. If the park could put some resources into repairing and maintaining them, it would easily become one of the best biking spots in the area.

Nice variety of trails, ample parking. Trails signs are a bit confusing, didn't find the Hiking Club secret word because we took the wrong path but found our way back eventually. Good excuse to go back and try the trails again, theyre beautiful. Riverfront paths, picnic areas, scheduled events and a visitor center with a bathroom. Pokémon stops too. I recommend.

We had a lovely midafternoon Sunday stop here to try out the token flight and enjoy some food. The place was busy, but the service was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the wines that we tried, which came as a pleasant surprise, and even bought two bottles to take home. We also had the Lady Gaga garlic cheese bread naan and the Stevie Nicks chicken pesto pizza; there was a bit of a wait for the food, because the place was indeed busy, but what came out was absolutely delicious. We're already talking about doing another trip here to try more wines!

The vineyard and winery are both 2 beautiful & perfect properties, and made our wedding vision come true! Abby was phenomenal to work with! We truly appreciate her and her team for working with us to make our day special! Thank you again to the CRW staff ❤️

I've lived in the area most of my life and never knew this gem existed! Great atmosphere, full menu, local wine, and visitation hilarious merchandise!

It has a very open atmosphere, very spacious. I am not a huge wine drinker but the three kinds I tried were good. My wife who rarely drinks wine had two glasses of a sweet white that was recommended by the waitress. I had a Betty White sandwich and it was pretty good. We both enjoyed our time there

The air is cooling, the days are getting shorter, and soon, we'll start to see autumn colors. A wonderful sightseeing destination, just south of the Twin Cities, is Cannon River Winery. The professional, charming, and talented staff will impress you as you visit this winery in downtown Cannon Falls, MN. You'll enjoy the menu, entertainment, and especially the wine. I highly recommend this local business, Cannon River Winery, which produces an excellent made in Minnesota product.

Pretty nice small town winery! The staffs are very friendly and helpful. It costs you small amounts and you can taste a couple of their breweries. What we had was very fruitful taste, mild for everyone. They have indoor and outdoor tables for you to enjoy yours leisurely... There is a big parking lot by the winery. Also, the Cannon River trail is right next. Very convenient if you prefer a walk after your wine taste.

Stillwater Lift Bridge, Historic Site

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
The Stillwater Lift Bridge, a historic structure dating back to 1931, spans the St. Croix River between Houlton, Wisconsin and Stillwater, Minnesota. It is one of only six bridges of its kind in Wisconsin and Minnesota built before World War II. The bridge is located within the Stillwater Cultural Landscape District and offers a unique example of vertical-lift bridge construction.
Visited during summer, the weather was perfect! A beautiful little town on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin with this historic site. It's delightful to see the bridge lift up for big boats to pass. The area is well developed with neat lawns and seating benches. Mostly crowded on weekends, but it is a peaceful spot. Small local food joints make even more happening. Must visit!

What a lovely town with many trails, eateries, & shops. The historic lift bridge is for pedestrians & bikes only; lanes are marked as such. During the peak touristy months the bridge raises every 30 minutes to allow boaters to pass beneath. It’s only a short disruption of time & fun to watch. A great way to watch how the bridge operates up close.
Susan S — Google review
We just took our first walk across the bridge. It was really nice to walk across this historic National Register of Historic Places bridge on a warm breezy summer evening! The cars and traffic jams at the bridge are now distant memories.

Stillwater is great for a day trip or even a few hours. We went to the water front and watched the bridge go up and down and the boats go by. There is lots of seating by the water, easy inexpensive parking, many eateries and activities by the water. We had a fantastic afternoon. We also went two blocks from the water to the Teddy Bear Park which I also reviewed at five stars.

Super cool and lovely town! Can tell they take good care of everything and weather was pristine! Not a bad hike from the city, and would recommend going here for a day trip!

Great place to get the kids out and feel the Fresh air! It is an amazing place. Plenty of spots to sit and eat the Best Ice Cream in town! Yum! Parking is a bit hustle but worth it! With gas price through the roof, this place gives you the best nature has to offer! Get out and enjoy the View and Fresh air!

Lift bridge and the entire waterway has a really lovely, laid-back pace now that the vehicle traffic has moved to the new bridge.

TONS of activities for all ages to engage your mind and lots of exhibits to see. There are even musical stairs - that was super neat! Dinosaur exhibit, sports activity section, old-time gadget section, shells, tug boat, weather station, ... oh, and make your own tv news broadcast - that was a comical blast!!! - - and so much more. Spent the entire afternoon here & finished with a movie. Parking was safe & easy. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite museums growing up going on school field trips. Went back on my 24th birthday and still loved it 😁 I'm a little disappointed they removed the upstairs restaurant though because that was my favorite and the cafe isn't the same otherwise it was awesome. 10/10 recommend for all ages

A Fantastic, Educational, and Fun Experience for All Ages! I recently visited the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul, and it was truly a wonderful experience. This museum is a perfect blend of education and entertainment, offering something for everyone — from curious kids to inquisitive adults. The exhibits are not only informative but also incredibly engaging. You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into designing each section to make science accessible, hands-on, and fun. One of the highlights for me was the dinosaur exhibit. The fossil displays were impressive, especially the triceratops skeleton, and the interactive stations explaining paleontology were great for kids and adults alike. Another standout was the Human Body Gallery, which had fascinating displays on anatomy, health, and even real preserved organs (not for the squeamish, but definitely educational!).The museum also features rotating exhibits — when I visited, there was one about climate change and sustainability that was both eye-opening and hopeful. It didn’t just present the problems, but also showed real-world solutions and how people can take action. The staff and volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions or guide you through the exhibits. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and there were plenty of places to sit, snack, or take a break. The gift shop and café were also enjoyable additions to the experience. If you're in the Twin Cities area, this museum is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, the Science Museum of Minnesota is an enriching destination that makes learning truly enjoyable!

This is a wonderful hands on interactive science museum with so many fun places for kids and adults to learn. The IMAX movie was fantastic. Dinosaurs and the human body exhibits were excellent. Have a nice lunch on the Mississippi River.

I was surprised I had to pay for entrance since every other state I've lived in was free. $60 for me and the kid. Kids hotdog was $12 for just a regular old dog. Double Smash burger was $20. Way over priced place I think. Other than that they are a very nice museum. The T.Rex Imax was great. 8yo loved it. Not over crowded and very clean. I actually like St Paul much better than Minneapolis.
Johnny R — Google review
Worth the visit! Family of 4 (including 15yo & 10yo) spent 3 hours here and truthfully could have easily spent 4 hours covering the 3 floors of hands on fun. * get tickets ahead of time and avoid the entrance bottleneck * we paid $19 to park next door in river view parking lot.

Absolutely amazing, I visited it a month ago during a summer camp with my friends, and I love the interactive exhibits!

Arena
Sights & Landmarks
Xcel Energy Center, located in downtown St. Paul, is a state-of-the-art arena that serves as the home of the Minnesota Wild hockey team and hosts various concerts and events. The venue, which opened in 2000, offers an exciting atmosphere for fast-paced NHL games as well as entertaining shows on ice and regular concerts. Adjacent to the center is the Science Museum of Minnesota, where visitors can explore STEM-focused themes and enjoy films at the Omnitheater.
What a great Arena. I’ve been to a few arenas over the years and this was the best atmosphere I’ve got to experience. The food quality at the concession stands was higher quality and better variety than many sports venues. I felt the design and theme of the arena was fitting for Minnesota and the Wild. The little details matter and add to the excitement of the game. Great family experience. My kids and I got to watch Fluery possibly play in his last NHL game and win it in overtime in a thriller. We also got an official warm-up puck from Fluery before the game. Truest a memorable experience.

One of the best venues to see a concert at. I have been to more than one concerts here and the sound at all of them has been unmatched. The arena feels so intimate despite its capacity. Truly amazing! (For reference I have sat on the floor for all concerts!)

Super fun watching big time rush concert with my daughter. We had great seats. I felt bad for the people at the back and way high up because they didn’t have screens going around the stadium—just the ones up front. Also there was no iced coffee that night—kind of a bummer. Sound quality was great (aka deafening). I’ll need to remember my ear plugs next time!
Kristi S — Google review
Visiting from out of town, and this stadium was very nice! Enjoy our experience here, and would return if I had the chance. People were very kind, Michelob golden beer with souvenir cup was like $13 so heads up. Parking is an issue here, unless you wanna pay $30 across the street.
Crispito — Google review
This was our first time to watch the Wild at Grand Casino Arena. It seems there is not a bad seat in the rink. Plenty of bathrooms and convenience stands for everyone. Everywhere seems clean and safe with the presence of police throughout and outside the arena. Lastly, it's very easy to get into and exit, with a helpful, friendly staff.
Michael R — Google review
Great venue. Very clean and tidy; the staff were all super welcoming and friendly. Seats are tight, but what do you expect from a sports venue? Food selection was above what I expected. I will say they just bend you over with the price of a beer, but once again, it's kinda expected.

Great Experience!! Went for a Wild Hockey Game!! It was a packed House!! They had a $6 happy hour before the Game. The Seats were comfortable, Great views of the Ice. Highly suggest going to a game if your in St Paul.

Had a great time visiting the newly renamed facility (formerly Xcel Center) to see a Maroon 5 concert. Sat in section 107, leg room was virtually non-existent. Sound & sightlines were wonderful.

Visitors can explore intriguing exhibitions, live performances, and educational programs suitable for all ages.
This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back! There are so many artifacts and exhibits. We arrived at noon and left at closing time 4 pm. Yes, you will need at least 4 hours to truly experience and appreciate all this place has to offer. We had the pleasure of meeting an employee named Carol and her knowledge, charisma and friendliness made our visit so much better! This place is fun for all ages, although the WWII footage and short film might be too graphic for the little ones. Overall, a great place to learn about Minnesota history and its people.

Today was one of the free days. I work at a group home and brought one of the individuals today. He had a blast today. Very interesting to him and it wasn't at a level that was too hard so he didn't understand. There were hands on things to keep people of all ages and mental capabilities engaged. They had the band playing today as well. The view from outside is amazing as well... you can see the Capitol and downtown St. Paul. Definitely recommend going.

We had such a great time at the Minnesota History Center! My kids had an absolute blast — it was so engaging and interactive that we completely lost track of time. We ended up staying for hours and still didn’t get to see everything (we had to leave because the kids were “starving” 😂). There’s so much to learn here for all ages, and it’s presented in such a fun, hands-on way. We’ll definitely be back to explore more. Highly recommend!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and it didn’t feel too busy at all. Lots of space and room to explore. Had a great time exploring the Julia Child exhibit. Very well done and interactive. If you love Julia Child don’t miss it! The other exhibits are awesome as well! I’m always learning something new when I go there!

One of my favorite places in Minnesota. The Native American exhibits, and the I-35 bridge collapse exhibit are very moving. The military exhibits are also phenomenal, and so immersive for kids. The tornado simulator…. OMG. The list goes on. There are so many cool pieces of Minnesota history here, and interactive exhibits for kids.
Heather L — Google review
Inspiring space. Exhibits touch on key parts of the Minnesota experience. The Native American exhibits are thoughtfully put together. Kids have plenty of room and spaces to go. We enjoyed the short play about a Minnesota member of the Greatest generation. There was also a craft in an atrium. Thanks to all the volunteers.

This museum is great! I remember loving it as a kid and now that I live in Saint Paul I'm here a couple times a month. Every Thursday evening is FREE! They also have some cool free events like crafting, movies, talks, etc. There are a lot I'm interested in but I can't always make it 🥲 There is parking which is also free on Thursday evening. One downside is that they took out a nearby bridge which makes accessing the museum more difficult, but hopefully it will reopen!

The WWII Exhibit was very good and the Ojibwe Exhibit was excellent. Also the Tornado basement was good. Lots of children areas.

The Cathedral of Saint Paul, also known as the National Shrine of the Apostle Paul, is a magnificent beaux arts cathedral located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This grand church was built between 1904 and 1915 and boasts French-inspired architecture with a giant 23-meter wide copper dome and spire. Situated on an elevated hilltop, it offers stunning views of the downtown district.
The Cathedral of Saint Paul is the most magnificent cathedral that I have visited to date!! It is beyond breathtaking. We attended 7:30 AM Mass on a Monday morning, and we were in awe… We did not take advantage of the guided tour, but we did return to purchase items from the gift shop. If you’re hoping to join the guided tour, I encourage you to call or fill out the tour availability form online. Visiting Cathedral of Saint Paul is highly recommended for all!!

I only visited the Cathedral of Saint Paul once, but it left a big impression. The architecture is stunning — massive, detailed, and beautiful inside and out. Walking in, you immediately feel the history and sense of peace. Even if you’re not religious, it’s worth stopping by just to take in the design and the atmosphere. Definitely one of the most breathtaking landmarks in Saint Paul!
Kalli A — Google review
First important hint: the doors may look Like they are closed, just go ahead and push it. It may be due to the weather. That said, visiting the Cathedral of Saint Paul is rewarding experience, it warms your soul. Regardless of your religious point of view, just go and feel it, you won’t regret. It is a peaceful place full of art and details. Stained glasses, sculpture, history…and it is indescribable what you feel when someone is playing the pipe organ. It is powerful! Make sure you reserve enough time, if you like details like I do. It is also a great idea to bundle this with other places around like the Minnesota Capitol and WWII memorial. It is a pleasant walk between buildings, specially during the fall with its astonishing colors.

The weekend guard made an already awesome visit both informative and welcoming. Many thanks for keeping this wonderful treasure open most of the time -- its cousin St. Paul's in London charges 35 pounds sterling to visit! (and it's not that much bigger than ours, the third largest US cathedral and sixth largest church in the nation)

Best two hours of the trip! A true masterpiece and the crown jewel of St. Paul. The architecture is stunning on a grand scale, reminiscent of the great cathedrals in Europe. The interior is vast, peaceful, and filled with beautiful details, from the soaring dome to the intricate stained-glass windows. You don't have to be religious to be moved by the grandeur and history of this place. A must-visit when you're in the Twin Cities.
Terry H — Google review
Such a beautifuland breathtaking Cathedral filled with details and history everywhere. There is a small shop inside, there was a big mass the day of so it was full. And there's a timeline on the bottom.

The Cathedral of Saint Paul is nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment you approach it, the grand architecture captures your attention — and once inside, the soaring ceilings, intricate details, and stunning stained glass create an atmosphere of peace and reverence. During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the deacons, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to greet us warmly, share a bit about the history of the cathedral, and made us feel truly at home. That personal touch made the visit all the more special. Whether you come for worship, reflection, or to admire the artistry of this historic building, the Cathedral is a must-see in Saint Paul. It’s a place where beauty, history, and genuine hospitality come together.
Ed — Google review
The Cathedral of St. Paul is magnificent — its architecture is breathtaking and filled with reverence. The dome, stained glass, and ornate details reflect extraordinary craftsmanship and devotion, creating a space that surrounds you with faith. The only drawback was the warmth inside on a hot day and difficulty hearing the priest from the back during Mass. The sermon was engaging, but we caught only about two-thirds of it. Even with those minor issues, this Cathedral is a sacred and awe-inspiring place well worth experiencing.
