Very easy trail. It is a quick walk to the waterfall. Pretty spectacular waterfall coming out of the hillside, good swimming hole for hot days. Not a lot of people there.

It's a nice and quiet place to enjoy the nature. The eagle falls itself is probably the top attraction but I also liked the nature trail.

A beautiful and short hike to do with friends or family. Trail is very flat and easy. The view of Running Eagle Falls at the end is wonderful, and a classic image of Glacier Park. Would definitely recommend if looking for something quick to do with a nice payoff.

Truly incredible cave waterfall. The half mile walk in is paved if you take the right hand path and very accessible for those with mobility problems.

Came out last week. Low crowds, easy in and out. Great short one for any kiddos, easily do this and a few other ones if your planning the day out. Good stroll along the stream as well!

We had the best time at Two Medicine Lake. It was definitely more slower paced, peaceful and not nearly as overcrowded when compared to the other side of the park.

The most beautiful place in Glacier National Park. So serene and beautiful hard to leave. There are plenty of day hikes all around this place. The boat launch is nearby for a trip across the lake to do a hike to Twin Falls or walk 4 miles or so around. There is a General Store that offers some souvenirs and snack items . Park workers are enthusiastically friendly and helpful. Goats roam the campground area freely be sure to drive through campground area section as well and park and enjoy the views and trails

I walked to the shore and sat down to meditate, but started crying immediately. I'm not sure if it was just the stunning beauty and the peace I felt, or if it was something more. What I am sure of is that I only experienced a little taste of why the indigenous people named this place Two Medicine. There's something healing about it.

Definitely worth the trip if you want to get some beautiful pics. As far as a mountain lake setting, it’s hard to beat.

Very serene, quiet, and very real. We hiked to lake, Falls and outlook. Steep hike to outlook. Beats are in the area, we did see a partial grizzly and appreciated the loud growls after we cleared the area.

Beautiful area for hiking and sightseeing! Driving is a little steep and road is narrow. Parking is hard to get in the day time.

What a PLACE!!! Absolutely stunning. Be sure to plan ahead and get the right passes. You need a pass to access the road and parking fills up fast. But the gorgeous hikes, views and wildlife sightings are unlike any others. It’s worth it to get up there early and watch the sunrise!

The short (about 3 miles round-trip) hike captures the majestic beauty of Glacier NP. More often than not, Bearhat Mountain & Hidden Lake are graced by the iconic mountain sheep with pure white coats. The toughest part of the trip is finding a parking spot at Logan Pass. Best plan is get to Logan Pass before sunrise or simply roll the dice. One plan is drop one couple off, return in 1.5 hours, and second couple takes the hike and pictures.

Have visited a few times. Incredible views at Logan Pass which is about 6,400'. Trails here a little strenuous yet if you take your time, you'll likely find it was worth it. Since the park is open 24/7, we came back at midnight and took some cool night sky pictures. No light pollution at all. Glacier National Park is a splendid awe-inspiring view of nature at it'la finest.

Beautiful area. If you don’t want to fight for parking you need to arrive EARLY. Arrived at 6:30am got one of the last parking spots.

A must-see on Going to the Sun road in Glacier. Very, very busy area though and we could not find parking anywhere around the Pass which was disappointing.

There's no parking, too many mountains, the roads feel unsafe, the trails feel unsafe, it smells like DS, Devon kept marching ahead and wouldn't slow down, my knee hurts...2 stars

Like all the hikes in Glacier National Park, this one is amazing and unforgettable, but has the bonus of being a very easy hike compared to most in Glacier. Also arrived at the parking lot around 9 a.m. on a Saturday and there were plenty of spots.

It is one of the most popular hikes in Glacier National park, Montana. Lots of stairs & it is an uphill trail to the beautiful lake. The trail of hidden lake starts behind the Logan pass visitor center.The view is amazing. We saw five big horn sheep on the trail. The lookout wooden platform is well maintained. The hike is moderate but worth it. You have to park your vehicle in Logan pass visitor center. Finding a parking spot is very difficult.

This is an amazing spot with a beautiful lake. It’s mostly boarded so easy to climb up. It is all up most of the first half but not a difficult hike. Fairly short. We saw mountain goats and rams. A beautiful experience. It does get very busy and the parking lot is fairly small so expect to wait for parking or have to leave and come back at another time

While parking is a major challenge at Logan Pass, this is a hike worth taking. One of the best, if not the best, in Glacier National Park. It’s a boardwalk for much of it, so very easy, with only moderate elevation. The non-boardwalk parts are easy dirt trails. You can’t get lost. The “lookout” is a 1.5 mile straight shot and gets you to about 8000 ft. So 3 miles round trip. You can hike down another 1.5 miles down to the lake, but that obviously makes the hike an additional 3 miles. This is a must do hike, at least to the lookout. VictorB

What can I say. This is the most beautiful lake scenery in the whole Montana state. I love the hike and the sights all around the trail is just amazing. Anyone in the area must see this place. Views are breathtaking. Trust me these pictures doesn’t do the justice. It’s a place that need to be on your bucket list. I can not wait to go there again.

One of the beautiful alpine lakes in Glacier National Park. The start of the trail is through Logan pass. The trail takes you to the overlook and through the overlook there’s another trail that leads you down to the lake. Since the trail starts from Logan Pass, finding a parking spot is very challenging, so make sure you leave early. Chances of seeing wild goats on this trail is quite high. Also bear spotting is high when you walk down towards the lake from the overlook. During our time, the trail to the lake was closed because of the bears, so have your bear spray ready.

This was absolutely stunning. It was a little tricky at the beginning. Beautiful trail with stunning wild flowers as soon as you start your hike then incline with switchbacks were pretty rough. We hiked at our own pace and took a few breaks. Then the views were breathtaking all the way up. Then the end was all worth it!

Highly recommend! The trail is better than the destination in my opinion. Beautiful views the entire way especially when you arrive at the parking area at 5 am and start the hike at 6 am to catch the morning alpine glow. The parking lot was mostly empty at 5 am but filled up quickly. The glacier area is peaceful; however, if you've seen bigger and better glaciers than Grinnell is anticlimactic. The hike is moderate purely for the distance.

A gorgeously scenic 21km trek with an amazing up close view of the glacier.

I’ve hiked this trail 5 times now. This is a tough hike, especially the last half mile, but worth it for the absolutely stunning views! The first 2 miles around the lake isn’t bad but once you start the Glacier trail it’s nothing but up with very few switchbacks. PROS: You get to be close to a glacier. You get dozens of different angles of a glacial lake as you hike up. You will probably see wild life. Big horn sheep like to hang out here but weren’t there this particular day. CONS: As I mentioned it’s a strenuous hike so pace yourself. This is a very popular hike in GNP so be sure to come early if you want a parking space. There will be a lot of people on the trail. It can be dangerous if you hike it beginning of June/ end of May or earlier so bring some sort of traction devise for snow and ice. Autumn is an absolutely stunning time to go.

I was a little worried because my wife and I are not particularly athletic and definitely one of the slower people on the trail. Even so, we made it to the top without much issue. Definitely a workout but there was nothing too extreme about the hike that made it impossible for us. The gradual incline was definitely a plus and the quarter mile steep incline we just took frequent breaks. Saw several bighorn sheep. Glacier was amazing. Despite it being so popular there was enough space for all to enjoy. Water is freezing. I dipped my feet in and had to take it out after 15 seconds. Overall took us a little over 3 hrs one way. We spent 2 hrs at the glacier. It is unshaded and does get hot in the afternoon so highly recommend to start early. Also trail gets narrow so much better to go up when there is no foot traffic coming down. There are sections where there are sheer cliff drops but I never felt unsafe. Highly recommend and totally feel accomplished that we were able to do it :)

Visited early Sep. This is one of the most scenic hikes in Glacier NP. Saw a ram and a mountain goat on the trail. The glacier lake is just so amazing and unusual with "bloody pond". The lake is big and at the far end is still snow covered, but could see the crevasses as snow was melting. This is a must hike!!

They say this Glacier will be gone in 8 -13 years so, don't miss your chance. This is one of the most beautiful hikes in Glacier National Park. Hike is challenging and should be planned as all day event. If you like extreme and you there in the summer swimming is and option but for everyone else - dipping you lags in will make you feel like you didn't hike at all and way back will be much easier. There is also lake in the beginning of the hire and swimming there is great way to complete this hike.

A fantastic museum with an impressive collection of horse-drawn carriages and beautifully curated exhibits. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the live demonstrations add a special touch. Great for families and history lovers alike!

This museum was a revelation Learned so much history of the province I’m Born and raised and live in. Sounds like it might be boring but it’s actually quite interesting and has amazing carriages. Who knew they were so high?

Must visit place in southern Alberta. Shows the rich history of carriages. Very well maintained!

We visited the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston, AB during Seniors Week, when admission for seniors like us was free. we enjoyed the collection of carriages, wagons, and sleighs and the exhibits so much that we made a donation to the museum as we were leaving. The collection and the information about the collection was excellent. We also talked with one of the restorers in the restoration shop. They explained what kind of work went into preparing carriages, wagons, and sleighs for display and how long some of the work takes to do. Several school classes on field trips were also enjoying the museum while we there. The museum has the largest collection of carriages, wagons, and sleighs in the world. If you're ever in southern Alberta I highly recommend that you visit the museum and enjoy it's collection, displays, and exhibits. The Horse University exhibit was a hit with the students during their field trip.

This place is rich with history, amazing collection of carriages and very well restored. Absolutely the best place to visit for a family, showcases Alberta and Canadian history in a nice manner.

Really interesting. Lot of fun. If you like working with metal or wood they have a workshop where they restore carriages. For the kids, they have fun interactive games that they can play (ask at the front counter). You can also take a ride on a horse drawn buggy. The staff is very friendly.

This is such a gem of a museum! There are so many restored carriages, it’s unbelievable! I liked the informational displays telling the story of a particular carriage and the times it’s been used, so much history learned on a single museum visit! Me and my kids loved it 😍 The carriage ride was fun as well. If you are visiting Waterton National Park, I highly recommend making a drive to Remington Carriage Museum, it’s just about 40 minutes away but so-so worth it! I think even driving from Calgary to this museum is totally worth it.

Really cool place with lots to see! Got to have a wagon ride pulled by Duke and John. Beautiful horses. The people of Lethbridge are all so kind. Thank you for the great experience.really enjoyed visiting the pony and donkeys.

We had a truly memorable visit to Fort Whoop-Up—a place rich in history. The museum was both educational and engaging, offering captivating exhibits that transport you back to frontier times. There’s so much to discover, and the stories of the region are shared with care and depth. One of the highlights was the wagon ride, which added a delightful, old-timey touch to the experience. The chance to pet the small horses and donkey made it feel even more special—especially for animal lovers and families with curious kids. Those little personal interactions bring the whole place to life. All in all, Fort Whoop-Up offers a lovely mix of heritage, hands-on fun, and a welcoming atmosphere. A definite must-see for anyone in the area.

What a great experience and look back at history. Our wagon ride with 2 Clydesdale horses was the highlight with Cathy our tour guide. Great to go with kids, activities like writing with a quill pen, candle dipping and fresh made Bannock. A big park surrounds the fort so you could easily pack a lunch, there is also a playground nearby.

Enjoyed very much, learned a lot from the staff working there and answered all my questions so patiently as I'm from the US and knew nothing of the Fort's and First People's history in Lethbridge.

Wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening with family in Lethbridge. We went on a Thursday and there was a trader tales program going on. It’s educational and informative and interactive experience for children. There was a campfire and sharing of stories over bannock and jam. Also the ice cream is delicious. They give liberal amounts of it! 🍦

Was a bit hokey to me. We didn't pay to go into the fort primarily because the fort was nothing more than a replica of the original fort AND not even at the original site. The employees were both friendly and informative. I think the wagon ride would have been worthwhile but we didn't take the time.

Booked this tour as part if a one night staycation getaway. Was more than what we expected and well worth the admission. Learned a lot! Megan and Troy (Trevor?) Were great guides.

Hiked the Crypt Lake Trail on August 25, 2025. We pre-purchased tickets for the 8:30 ferry a couple days before and boarded around 8:20. The ferry took 15 minutes to get to the trailhead. Everyone starts the trail at once but then people naturally spread out as everyone finds their pace. The first section of trail was through lush forest, gaining gradual elevation along a narrow trail. It then continues on long switchbacks through forest and starts to open up to nice views of the mountains and Upper Waterton Lake. At the junction with Hell Roaring Canyon, stay to the left (our boat captain said this section is much steeper and is not necessarily worth the effort - if you have time, you can hike this section on the way down). The trail continues through a mix of forest and rocky sections. You start to get stunning views of the mountains and valleys as you climb higher and they only get more dramatic as the hike goes on. The trail becomes rocky and exposed as you get higher than the tree line. You then reach a viewpoint of a tall waterfall in the distance which was gorgeous. The trail continues to gain elevation along rocky switchbacks and then follows along the narrow ledge leading to the cave and tunnel. This was the most epic part of the hike. After reaching the end of the ledge, you climb a ladder and then crouch and crawl through the dark, narrow tunnel. After emerging on the other side, there is a sketchy section with uneven rock and chains fixed to the rock wall to hold on to. From there, it’s not too much longer to the lake and there is no more elevation gain. The lake was not the most beautiful mountain lake I’ve seen but it was pretty. We spent half an hour soaking our tired feet in the cold refreshing water and enjoying a much needed snack and rest. There is a loop around the lake but we didn’t do that one. The hike back down was mostly downhill and was faster than going up. The chain section was sketchy coming down so we went slow there. It was a very hot and sunny afternoon which was draining and the shaded sections were always welcome. The last few kilometres were completely shaded through the dense forest which was an amazing way to finish off the hike. My partner and I took 4 hours going up to the lake and 3 hours hiking down. We got back to the boat dock at 4:30 and waited for an hour for the 5:30 boat. There is also a boat at 3:30 if you’re a faster hiker. It was nice to rest on the logs at the trailhead and soak my feet in the lake again. There is an outhouse at the trailhead and another one along the trail before the tunnel. There is no cell service on this hike but the trail is easy to follow. My FitBit tracked 19 km total and 858 m elevation gain. This hike made for a long day with lots of hard work on the legs but it felt amazing to finish! The views along the trail are spectacular and the tunnel/ladder/chains is a very epic feature. We didn’t see any wildlife but heard from someone on our boat who saw a bear near the outhouse along the trail. Our boat captain said that bear sightings occur almost daily, so come prepared with bear spray. Would recommend this trail - very rewarding!

A must do when visiting Waterton. You will not regret doing this hike. Beautiful views, well maintained trails and lots of interesting sections of trail. Make sure you do have the fitness level for a 17+ KM hike. Also depending on season pack for mountain weather. We've had +20 degrees along the beginning of the trail, with sections of deep snow near the top and cool weather. Bring lots of water. Now there is one negative to this trail. The amount of people can be staggering. We've been stuck in literal "traffic jams" on the cliff scramble section. Where people are stuck going in either direction. This can be an absolute pain and hopefully the people will all be working together to keep things moving. If hiking with a dog, be sure you are prepared for the ladder. We thought we were but found out we were not. Luckily, with the help of some awesome hikers we were able to raise and lower the dog safely. As a final note.. BE CAREFUL on the wire rope section of the climb. We hit two burrs on the line and actually ripped our hands open to the point of running blood. After seeing it happen to a few people you realize it's an actual health hazard. If anyone has any transferable blood diseases, that is a dangerous location.

Great trail and views, very runnable throughout sections in the ascent and definitely descent

Great trail to hike. Very well maintained even early in the season. If I hiked it again I would not wear mountain boots. Maybe just a pair of ankle high hiking boots or even a psir of runners. I would suggest going earlier in the hiking season to avoid crowds.

Beautiful hike, it's not technical, nor challenging. If you hike or exercise regularly you should find this hike a walk in the park. Great day, however not amazing enough to do again or spend the $30.00 for the ferry.

Worth every ounce of effort! This is by far one of the most mentally and physically challenging hikes I've ever done but honestly the pay off was insane to spend the day at this majestic lake!

We did this hike with our dog. It is a beautiful, must-do hike. Some parts are very challenging - don't look down! For dog owners: I don't know if I would do this with a dog over 60 lbs because we did lift/boost her on a few parts. The ladder is the most difficult part, we had extra leads to help lower her down while letting her place her feet on the rocks. We also had a lead clipped to the cable for her Incase she fell, would highly recommend for peace of mind. Don't do this hike with your dog if you can't trust your dog.

This is an extremely accessible waterfall in Waterton National Park. You can walk here or even push a wheelchair here from town in ten minutes or less. Free parking is available on the street a few minutes away, especially near the city park. There's a large viewing platform in front of the fall and above it, though there are a fair number of steps to reach the top. Expect to spend maybe 15-30 minutes here because it gets crowded and doesn't offer that much more than a nice view.

You definitely don’t want to miss Cameron Falls when visiting Waterton National Park. While it’s not a very large waterfall, it’s truly beautiful and worth experiencing. Plus, it’s easy to find, making it a convenient stop during your visit.

It's a beautiful fall in the town with a short hiking trail on the side to have a closer look from top. You can do fishing as well but not a really large area to explore. Also, parking available right in front, for wheelchair accessibles as well. It's has beautiful scenic view if you go other way around, the one from the lake side passing through campaign areas towards Bertha hiking area. It's just lovely town to visit nd to spend time away from city life. Also, they have ferries to take you around US border to visit 30 min.

Walk from the waterton lake beach to enjoy the view is quite good choice ,got to see local houses n camping site .

Easy walk from anywhere in town. Beautiful falls. Can walk up to view falls from above as well. Definitely worth a stop when in Waterton

We stopped by the Fort Museum Trading Post Gift Shop and were so impressed! There’s such a great mix of clothing, shoes, unique gifts, and souvenirs. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the renovations made it much easier for my mother-in-law to get around. So glad they’re open year-round now — we’ll definitely be back and already got our membership! And they have goats to pet!

This place is awesome. Such a great history lesson. Exhibits are very informative and lots of neat things to see. Staff are amazing here and very helpful and friendly. My lil one really liked climbing the towers, petting the goats and horses and really enjoyed the music that went with the musical ride. Would definitely take him there again.

Thus was such a buzz for me having grown up watching movies and shows with these iconic Forts. It is a very cool display and re-creation/restoration of the original Fort.

CPF Alberta & NWT hosted a day of educational programming here at the Fort Museum. The Fort Museum provided an unforgettable day for our group, immersing participants in the fascinating history of the North West Mounted Police and the region. The staff were friendly, organized, and willing to share their knowledge with the help of a translator, making the experience both educational and fun. Our group loved the authentic displays and interactive elements, and the atmosphere made it easy to imagine life in the fort’s early days. The museum team’s hospitality and attention to detail helped make our program a success, and we highly recommend this venue for group visits, school programs, and cultural events.

We had a great day getting out of the rain on our camping trip exploring the Fort. Rich history of the Mounted police and of the areas history! Service was good, would have enjoyed seeing the gots out, but the facilities were excellent! This is a great family activity.

Good museum and musical ride experience at The Fort Museum. I visited last week, and had a great time. Lots of well curated historical displays. I highly recommend paying the extra charge for the musical ride. I got there at 9AM and stayed until the end of the musical ride at about 10:30AM.

A huge disappointment! Drove from Calgary on August long weekend. Visited website before leaving and NO WHERE did it say the RCMP musical ride was cancelled. Had to repurchase admission tickets because the ticket app is not accepted on site. There was zero onsite site enhancements or a single interaction to bring the place to life. Very boring. Will never come back. Heritage Park in Calgary is a much superior choice.

Great place to visit. Took about an hour to do the whole heritage site. Unique heritage site with tons of info on the buffalo jump. One of my favorite parts is the building itself. Built into the side of the cliff, it's architecturaly very fascinating. Great views from the cliff of the prairies and the Old Man River.

No booking required! Simply pay the entrance fee and enjoy the fascinating exhibits. It’s a place rich in history, offering insight into how Indigenous people survived and thrived in this cold and challenging environment. You’ll learn about traditional hunting methods, culture, and resilience. A must visit, especially for families with kids! It’s a meaningful way to teach children about the remarkable ways people adapted and lived in harmony with nature.

Woow. Magnificent place. I heard about it long time ago but had no chance to visit till last weekend and it was worth for such long drive. Knowing the history of the place and native culture goes back to 6000 years. Mind blowing for me. Also, layer by layer display of the soil which contains buffalo remains in last 6000 years, stunning. I have more respect to the native people than before after visiting and learning one of their sacred place.

The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—they really bring the history to life. The site is well-maintained, and the washrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. This year, we noticed some new features added since our last visit, which made the experience feel fresh. They offer family packages and discounted rates for veterans and their families, which is a thoughtful touch. No need to book in advance—we walked in on a weekend and had no issues, even with tour buses coming through. 🐾 Heads-up for pet owners: Dogs aren’t allowed inside the interpretive centre, but there’s a shaded waiting area outside where you can sit with your pup. They even provide water bowls, which was a kind gesture. ✅ Tip: If you’re heading south from Pincher Creek or exploring the Waterton area, this is a must-stop. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place to reflect, learn, and connect with Indigenous history in a meaningful way.

Super friendly staff and a clean, well maintained building and trails. I did the trails to the kill site, and met a deer along the way. Educational tour. I had no idea the excavation of the site discovered the site had been used for about 6000-7000 years! Very cool.

This was an incredible experience. The indigenous people of this land had systems and processes in place for thousands of years that have been adapted and still used today. They were resourceful, environmentally aware, deeply spiritual and then white man came along. I was so moved by the story and impressed by the visitor centre and how they honoured the stories. Great building, great staff and well worth the visit.

This is a very informative historical site. The curators have done an excellent job. It is very well put together. After you check-in, You start the visit by taking elevator to the 7 floor, then go outside to the viewing point. You reenter the building and make your way down through the 6 floors of displays. Not a difficult walk. This is worth the visit. Spent maybe 1.5 hours here.

Absolutely adorable and well worth the stop if you're a Trekkie!!! I was charmed and memorized beyond belief by Vulcan and their quirky embrace of all things Star Trek in town. The Tourism & Trek Centre had a great selection of tourist information and a cute little gift store in addition to a few small exhibits.

Okay, if you are a Star Trek fan... you just need to go. You just do, I took my Dad, and he enjoyed the tourism center. When we went there was a random guy dancing. It was a blast. There are a few things to look at all over town, but the true gem is the convention.

Loved this place! There are so many subtle Star Trek references throughout the town. The town itself is named after the Roman god, so don't expect everyone and everything to be Trek-referenced, but the Trek Centre is a great place to visit for any Trekkie, with a Holodeck museum (all the costumes in there are made by a very talented local) and merch from across the series on display.

A very fun place to visit if you like Star Trek (any of them). Free to get in and great souvenirs in the gift shop. Easy parking even if you have an RV. And the town has a couple of restaurants for food.

If you are a Trekkie it is a must stop. The ladies were so lovely and there was a lot of memorbilia to see. Lots of picture opportunities and souvenirs.

We really enjoyed this visitor center and Star Trek museum. There is a smaller room of Star Trek memorabilia that is donations.

I was recommended to check out this museum on r/Alberta. Lots of paintings, pictures, and display cabinets to look at. Lots of personal testimonials from Bomber Command crews to read. Definitely worth checking out this place. The Lancaster is massive and you can tour the interior. They have a BF 109. A rare sight to see.

I've driven past this place for many years and never stopped to visit. I had a chance to visit here during the "Bikers and Bombers" event, and I'm so glad I did. What an amazing place with tons of history and artifacts. Very knowledgeable volunteers and staff made you feel very welcome.

Bomber Command Museum located in amazing little town of Nanton, Alberta. It is a must see! They restore and bring back to life many historic aircraft mainly from WWII. The star of the show is the Lancaster bomber where Carl likes to say “let’s convert some gasoline to noise” and fired up the four V12 Rolls Royce Merlin engines! Spectacular to see and hear! They are also working on rebuilding a Halifax bomber. While at the museum please take a moment to remember the brave men who fought for our freedom at the Memorial wall. Also, I’d like to thank Zarchary for showing me the restoration shop and the work that was being done. Admission is by donation and every dollar helps to keep the museum. So much important history!

Excellent if you love airplanes! Tour the inside of a Lancaster, sit in one of the snowbirds, maybe learn about the dambuster bombing runs. Got the opportunity to see the restoration hangar and meet some of the people working to restore the historical aircrafts.

Fun family outing celebrating 80 years of freedom. Thank you to the staff for a special day remembering those whom made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom…lest we forget! World class museum with very informative and helpful staff. Will be back soon with more visitors.

This was such an experience for us, though from the US, we enjoyed learning from another country’s perspective about military use and history of war. Muldoon (hopefully didn’t botched the name too bad) was knowledgeable and my son thoroughly enjoyed the conversations. Thank you so much❤️

My dad loves airplanes, so I brought him to this museum. When we saw the Avro Lancaster, he was amazed by how huge it is — truly impressive. There were also two replica planes with open cockpits you could check out. Overall, it was a great experience.

What a sweet surprise to come across the Bar U and learn so much about some true Alberta history. Ross and Shane were amazing tour guides that showed us around the whole ranch. Definitely a great day getaway!!

Absolutely loved this stop! The parks staff were excellent with our group. We had a combination walk about on our own and guided tour. The staff knew the history not only of the Bar U but also provided a cross section of history across the US and Canada for the time period and how it was all woven together with life today on the prarires. Extremely well preserved piece of our history. Definitely enjoyed the Cowboy coffee portion. Bravo to all. Thank you to Lisa J. for assisting in our visit!!

What a place! Something for everyone — history buffs, nature lovers, animal fans, horse fanatics. We spent twice as long there as we thought we would because we became fascinated by the stories told of the various owners and ranch hands, the life on site prior to it being a ranch and what life was like back in the pioneer days. Interesting history of the Percheron breeding program. We saw artifacts, experienced the life (lasso, riding wagon, sampling cowboy coffee (liked it!)) and peppering the knowledgeable staff with questions. Highly recommend. You ride the horse-drawn wagon down the hill. The ranch site is flat so easy walking.

This place was a joy to visit. Like stepping back in history. Most of the tour was self-directed, a few costumed interpreters peppered throughout. The buildings are well cared for and true to period. We had a terrific visit!! If you like history, go!!

A pretty cool place to visit. Went there this summer, nothing really special to see since it’s just a farm, horses etc. But our host was super sweet and explained everything to us. We got a chance to draw on wood which was interesting. I don’t know about the prices since I didn’t pay for those, but if it’s high, then I wouldn’t recommend. Overall - farm, with horses,pigs,chickens ect, they offfer a wagon ride, there are picnic tables, post cards, small building to go in ect…

Excellent place for a visit. Well maintained. Staff are very friendly and informative. We have lived in Calgary for 35 years and driven by many times but I urge all southern Albertans to pop by for a visit.

Stopped here on a Colette tour. The rancher's daughter told us about the ranching in the area, the importance of the buffalo herds to the health of the prairie, issues ranchers encountered keeping cattle alive and a stories of Charles M Russell, a famous painterof counboy life and experiences. We stayed at the visitor's center but she invited us back to spend time at the ranch over the knoll to learn more of ranch life. Wish we had the time.

What a wonderful place for a family outing! Be prepared to come early as it gets busier as the day progresses. Some highlights are: ➡️ The lookout by the valley is phenomenal! Delightful, unexpected quaint place with amazing views. Tranquil, sounds of nature and beautiful gift shop, restaurant and bakery. Close to the city, a new found place of peace and a great quick place to hangout , shop eat and I cant wait to attend an event. I went midweek off season and it was still worth the drive. So pretty like a little western town full of architecture and detail. Friendly staff and animal mascots, cats and a dog roam around this working farm. Highly recommended for an outing and no entrance or parking fees. My new happy place.

This place was such an unexpected delight on our summer road trip through Calgary! The moment we pulled in I thought, wow, this is gorgeous! You could honestly spend the entire day here just wandering around, exploring, and soaking up all the sights and sounds. The farmers market was amazing, bursting with fresh produce, pickled goodies, meats, milk, honey, and the most beautiful handmade treasures. The shops gave me total Anthropologie vibes!!! I’m obsessed, honestly! And if my wallet would have let me, I could have happily bought one of everything. From clothing to home goods, everything was just so thoughtfully chosen and so pretty!! The people were just as wonderful! Everyone we met had a smile and made us feel so welcome. Outside, there were turkeys and chickens happily strutting about and a breathtaking valley view that felt like a postcard come to life. We snapped photos, soaked it all in, and even enjoyed lunch overlooking that view, absolute perfection! This place is pure magic!!! If you ever get the chance to stop here, please do. It’s the kind of place that fills your heart with joy and makes a road trip feel unforgettable!!

Nice place, a cross between a garden centre and a disney old west town, but not so big. If you walk through there are fantastic views over the valley. The food was very good. The gift shop is very expensive!

We enjoyed our visit to The Saskatoon Farm. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting, and the service was friendly. The food was tasty, nicely presented, and portions were generous. The variety on the menu is great, and it’s a good spot for both families and couples. That said, the service felt a bit slow at times, which kept it from being a perfect experience. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting and we would come back again.

Firstly, I have to say that I’ve been coming to The Saskatoon Farm for years, and it has always been one of my favourite places to visit. I’ve never had a bad experience here: the selection of items for purchase is excellent, the markets are always well-organized and fun, the food has never let me down, and the produce is fantastic. So when my (now) husband and I started wedding planning, it was a no-brainer that this would be our top choice for a venue! We recently got married here, and my appreciation and love for The Saskatoon Farm have only grown. Our first tour was with Elena, who also became our main point of contact over the next year and a bit leading up to the wedding. She was incredibly thorough in answering my many (many!) questions and always got back to me in a timely manner. Both Elena and Nicole were also so helpful during our final walkthrough and in the days leading up to the wedding, whether it was during our decor drop-off, floral prep, or set-up instructions, it was clear how much they cared about ensuring we felt at ease and excited for the big day. The wedding day itself couldn’t have been more perfect; it truly was a dream come true. The entire team executed my vision flawlessly: from the custom cocktail hour menu, to the ceremony and reception set-up, to the thoughtful organization of the gift and guest book table, every detail showed so much care. Throughout the evening, they made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible, and I’m endlessly grateful we chose The Saskatoon Farm as our wedding venue. I also have to add that the space itself is PERFECT for a wedding. I highly recommend booking the Sunny Studio for getting-ready photos; it was spacious, beautifully lit, and we were even able to order breakfast and drinks right from the restaurant below. We also chose to add the flower baskets to the ceremony space (the lath house), and that was absolutely the right decision. And finally, I can’t recommend the Saskatoon berry pie enough for dessert! Our guests complimented all the food that evening, but the pie with ice cream was truly unforgettable. We’ll always support this business, and they have truly earned our highest praise. The Okotoks Erratic, also known as the "Big Rock," is an incredible natural landmark and definitely worth a stop. It's amazing to see such a massive boulder in the middle of the prairie and learn about its glacial history. The site is open 24/7, so it's easy to visit anytime, and there's plenty of parking nearby. There are walking paths around the rock with informational signs that explain its geological and cultural significance. It's also a popular spot for photos, short hikes, and even just a peaceful break when driving through the area. There aren't many amenities on-site, so bring water and snacks if you plan to stay a while. Overall, it's a fascinating and unique stop for anyone interested in nature, geology, or Alberta history.

We went to the Buffalo Jump Head Smashed in the other day and were blessed to hear the Napi story about the rock from a Blackfoot guide. We came to the rock just to admire it and weren’t disappointed. Such a great piece of history and nature.

Beautiful to see and history behind it accessible to all. Very annoying to see lots of people climbing the barriers and climbing the rocks and disrespecting the land despite clear signage to not climb. Do not climb and do not leave a trace please do not litter. Beautiful landscapes, and great to see if you’re in Okotoks.

As the name suggests a big rock in the middle of the grassland. It was Intersting to read the information boards about about how the rock got here from Jasper. Good place just to relax and unwind. There are many parkings and a gravel road leading up to the rock. The only big negative was the state of the public toilet. It was gross and smelled badly. I am not sure if it is always like this.

Not bad if you are in the area or interested in geology. The whole area is quite scenic and rocks jutting out are definitely interesting.

Cool spot to stop and check out some earth history. Washrooms, and info boards about glacial retraction and how the erratic ended up where it is

Having provided music at the Eau Claire Distillery for several events over the years, if you're searching for a great venue. I would absolutely recommend them for holding weddings, anniversaries and corporate events. The staff are friendly and accommodating to their clients needs. The atmosphere is unlike any other. You can hold your event indoors and out. 5 Stars!

Finally made it here after all these years. What great staff and a beautiful patio. The food and the cocktail flight were amazing.

Chicken Fried Sandwich! Great service, great drinks and terrific service. We returned this year only to experience the same amazing service and food. I had them add fresh jalapenos and spicy chipotle to my fried chicken sandwich this time and I don't think it could have been better. The others in my party purchased several spirits from the distillery and we chatted about what a great experience it was again. I also had the Fahr zero beer and found it delicious.

OUTSTANDING!!!! From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, you are treated with care, attention, and respect. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The staff were happy, respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable. The manager was so cheerful and so happy to share the history of the Distillery, the buildings, and the products. And the food ... oh my goodness, the food ... BEYOND AMAZING!!! I will return ... frequently!!! Thank you for the best lunch experience!!!

The Eau Claire Distillery was such an incredible place to have our wedding! Jen and Mallory went above and beyond to make our wedding go off without a hitch. Jen managed the entire event: set up, schedule, flow, bartending, electronics and take down. I cannot recommend the staff enough, everyone was professional and friendly. We were lucky to have London create personalized cocktails for our wedding. He made it very difficult to choose a cocktail, as all of them were delicious. The venue is incredibly unique and offers so many different elements. From the private speakeasy, to the beautiful covered patio, the distillery and the whisky room. These all made for amazing photo opportunities. I cannot recommend this venue enough. I’m still dreaming of our magical wedding here!

My daughter and I visited the Distillery on Tuesday, September 9th around 1:15 PM, hoping to enjoy lunch on the covered patio. We placed our order and waited… and waited. After about 45 minutes, I approached the cook, who informed me that our order had been missed entirely. I was shocked — there were only two other couples on the patio: one had already finished eating, and the other was only having drinks. Frustrated and hungry, we decided to leave. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of service and do not plan to return. This experience was unacceptable.

Family of mine live in Turner Valley & they alway rant & rave about this distillery. Since we were visiting, and they only live 1 block away, I decided to walk over. The Christmas Gin is what made me check out Eau Claire & right off the hop I was impressed. Everything about it is appealing to the eye. I would like to return in the spring/summer, when seating outside would be possible but there were happy patrons seated inside. I picked up too many & was sent back the next day to grab more for friends & family who heard about my experience. We dealt with a very lovely lady who gave us a tasting & although I didn’t get a big bottle, I did enjoy it! Definitely a HUGE selection from bottles to merch. I really loved their story & how they go about making their liquors as well as reading about all their copious awards!!!

A fun, festive, and educational experience for everyone. The Park has an assortment of activities, rides, food, civic museums, and heritage architecture emphasizing the cultural significance of early Prairie settlement/life. It's like taking a step back in time, and it's worth every dollar. 11/10 do recommend.

Heritage Park in Calgary is a fantastic destination for a family outing. The park stands out for its welcoming policy on food and drinks, allowing visitors to bring their own and enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere—a rare perk that saves a lot on expenses compared to other parks where you can easily spend over $100 just on meals. Though tickets are on the pricier side at $36 for adults and $26 for kids, the experience is worth every penny. The park is meticulously managed, from parking to rides and everything in between. It’s incredibly clean, with free water fountains and spotless washrooms, ensuring a comfortable visit. Highly recommended for a day of fun and relaxation!

Really enjoyed coming here. It's like Disneyland, but better, because you can actually learn something about actual frontier life and how Alberta came about as opposed to some fantasized version of how things were. Plus, the Vaudevillian performances were really entertaining. There was something that happened, I don't want to go into the details, but I want to take a chance to thank the staff for handling the incident professionally and being very kind to me and my party.

An absolutely wonderful place! The ticket price is well worth it, as it covers more than just a visit to a village—it's an immersive experience. During your visit, you'll watch over five short theater performances, each lasting at least 30 minutes, depicting the rich history of the area. The actors and actresses are incredibly talented, making the stories come to life. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt that one day isn't enough to fully appreciate everything this place has to offer. The staff members are all kind and helpful, providing excellent explanations about the site, especially the lady in the mine. You can begin your journey from the parking lot by taking a charming streetcar ride.Unfortunately, the gift shops didn’t have any magnets from this village, which was a bit disappointing.

This is such a wonderful place to visit. Everyone here always makes sure that you are having a good time. Everyone is in costume and stays true to the character they are portraying. There is a steam engine train you can ride as well at the steam ship that goes out along the reservoir. There are tractor rides and horse-drawn wagon rides, all of which are free with admission. There are midway rides for people of all ages. The general store and ice cream shop sell delicious treats, and the bakery is always making fresh baked items for sale. Every exhibit is authentic and has a plaque to describe its original location. There is so much to do that you can easily spend a full day here and not see everything there is to see.

I really enjoyed this place. Wow! If you have children, they will enjoy it as well. I recommend going on the steam locomotive at Shepard Station or riding the S.S. Moyie first (in the same area) then do the other after. After experiencing these attractions, wander the property. Cool off with a local brew at the Wainwright Hotel & Bar Room.

Truly amazing experience! All employees were very friendly and welcoming. So much things to do and have fun. We were visiting Calgary for the first time and Heritage Park was the best part of the trip. My son had a blast riding a real steam train. All the family had great time.

Had an amazing time at the zoo! The staff were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was. There were also plenty of places to take a break, grab a snack, and just enjoy the surroundings. Washroom available in every area. The staff and volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions or share insights about the animals. The exhibits are engaging and informative, making it a great experience for kids and adults alike. I would highly recommend for any age.

Great way to spend your day. Lots of parking fast lines, lots of animals. Most were pretty sleepy while we were there, except the wolves who were prancing around and coming right up to the glass. Tickets are cheaper if bought in advance. I took way too many photos and had a lovely day.

I love visiting the Zoo with my kids. We have coming for over 20 years now. I started coming when I moved to Calgary over twenty years ago. I have enjoyed seeing all the animals. 20 years ago I loved seeing the kangoos and the elephants. When they had bats I didn't like the bats but that is my own phobia of bats I had since I was a child. I remember seeing the sloth back then and one of favorite animals The Kolas. We love ❤️ seeing the Pink Flamingos 💗 and is one of the first ones we go see now. We love the pandas. My son loves the komodoo dragons they are his favorite. We love the Zoo Christmas Lights. We love seeing the red pandas and Tigers and the various animals and birds and the butterfly exhibits when we go visit the zoo. We always enjoy seeing the animals ❤️. In my son's words it's a really cool experience.

Honestly, the Calgary Zoo is way better than I remembered. The layout is really nice since it’s right on the river, but man, it is a lot of walking just like the Toronto zoo! so definitely wear your best/most comfortable running shoes! The penguin plunge is the winner for me seeing them swim that fast underwater is wild. Also my favorite animal lol. The lemur enclosure where you walk right in with them is super cool too. I’d the food it’s can get pretty pricey for basic burgers. But still delicious! If you wanna save a buck just pack a lunch and eat on a bench or find a nice shaded grass spot. If you go for ZooLights in the winter, dress warmer than you think you need to. It gets windy!

Amazing place for a family day out! We visited with kids and everyone had a great time. The grounds are very clean and well maintained, with lots of shade and beautifully designed animal enclosures. We were especially impressed by the penguins, tigers, and the dinosaur park — so realistic! My little one loved the kids’ zoo where you can feed the goats. Staff were friendly, and the café had a nice variety of food. A perfect spot to spend the whole day with family. We’ll definitely be back!

The Zoo is always a great place to visit. However it is a seasonal place, even though they are open year round. We saw lots of animals, but Prehistoric Park was closed along with every food vendor and refreshment stand except for Kitamba Cafe which is an indoor restaurant. I understand this, but my suggestion would be to maybe open certain areas up, weather permitting, so that on the nicer days people still have an opportunity to experience as much as possible. Other than that, it was a great time.

Lots of construction throughout areas of the park. The only food location opened was by the gift shop, when exiting the zoo; every other food location was closed. Tickets should be discounted during this time. Parking was easy. Staff working in the gift shop were exceptionally friendly.

It could have been just the time of your but it was really difficult to get to this event. Many of the streets were closed. We could not get an Uber anywhere. Could not get taxis. The facility itself was decent inside with a good selection of food. The seeding in the stands a bit tight in places didn't appear. It was built with adults with semi-limited ability to get in and out of the area.

It is truly the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. The rides, animals, free swag, sponsored activities, free pancake breakfasts, spirit of the west, cowboy theming, spirit of community, games, and fun new foods are just so exciting and satisfying. The only drawback is that the price for food and drinks has skyrocketed out of control that it drains your wallet dry and takes away from the experience. They need a food price cap and a $2.00, $5.00, $10.00 and $15.00 menu offering or something as the prices for food appear unreasonably high. Other than that, you gotta try the dill pickle pizza as it’s fantastic! The poutine and fish and chips are good too!

Stampede is awesome! Coming for 2 years now and loving it. Such amazing human energy, concerts, and multitude of things to do. Cows, tanks, food, drinks, music, cowboy hats, gotta love it.

The main advice for everyone coming next year: make sure to grab an event map at the entrance. There are many free activities besides the Rodeo, but you won’t find them easily if you don’t know where and when they take place. The Stampede is always crowded, but it’s not only about the Rodeo and food.

Went to the Flames vs Jets hockey game on Saturday November 15 2025 at the Saddledome. Good seats, decent burger and beer special at low pre-game price if get there about an hour before the game starts. Security screening at entry much less intrusive than past years. Staff smile way more. Place very clean. Newer sound system better, but cranked too loud which may be on purpose. Saw little kids with hearing protection head sets on. New center ice screens way better. Good contests anc candid shots of spectators on screens engaged the crowd. Bonus was the Flames win in exciting OT shootout!

If you haven't been to the Calgary Stampede, you need to go, at least once. Billed as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth you'll want to take in the music (Country of course), food, drinks, rodeo, midway rides, and don't miss the Grandstand Show. No expense spared for the best fireworks display I've seen to end the show. Food wagon options include what you may expect at a fair. Some creative combo's along with the expected, such as a smoked Turkey Leg. (a bit pricey at 33.00). Be prepared for line ups and crowds. Advance purchase of admission tickets eliminates at least 1 line. You'll have a great time if you take in some of this 10 day event, and don't forget your Cowboy hat!

Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth..actually. The rides were so much fun and the showcases in the BMO Centre were awesome. The food stands around the Stampede were amazing but were highly expensive. Getting here was so bad via CTrain, it is so crowded that they couldn’t let people in because it was packed. It was also crowded in Stampede Park of course due to the tourist influx and because it was first day. It was so much fun exploring every inch of the park, one must go to the stampede at least once every time. Would I go back? Definitely. 8/10.

The Calgary Tower is a great way to get a full view of the city. The observation deck gives you a 360° look at Calgary and the Rocky Mountains on a clear day. The glass floor is a fun experience and makes for some great photos. The staff are friendly, and the elevator ride to the top is smooth and quick. The visit itself doesn’t take too long unless you plan to eat at the restaurant, but it’s still worth it for the views and the unique perspective of the city. Tickets are a little expensive for the short time you spend there, but it’s one of Calgary’s most iconic landmarks and a nice stop if you’re exploring downtown.

Wow stunning views. And going at sunset is highly recommended! The mountains are a perfect with the sun setting behind them! Food was fantastic! It's so beautiful to see the lights of the city light up below! We went after a long day of travelling and sightseeing so we were casually dressed, but you can dress up super fancy too! It was great!

The observation deck, enriched with informative displays identifying key buildings, added an educational layer to the experience, making it both engaging and insightful. The ambiance was pleasant, and the tower stands as a notable tourist attraction in downtown Calgary, with a unique glass floor section that, while smaller than anticipated, provided a thrilling perspective. However, the experience was tempered by certain drawbacks. The tower, while iconic, shows signs of aging and is dwarfed by newer, taller skyscrapers, which slightly diminishes its grandeur The cost—approximately $75 for two, including parking and admission—a bit too steep. The viewing deck offers a decent panorama, but the surrounding skyline is less striking than expected. Overall, the Calgary Tower is well worth a visit for its unparalleled views and historical significance, particularly for first-time visitors to Calgary. Its combination of scenic beauty, informative displays, and cozy ambiance makes it a rewarding stop, best enjoyed on a clear day.

Visiting Calgary Tower is a must for anyone coming to Calgary! The ride to the top is an amazing experience — the panoramic view of the city and the mountains on the horizon is truly breathtaking. The Calgary Tower turned out to be an excellent stop on our trip. Admission is roughly half the price of Toronto’s CN Tower, and since the Calgary Tower is about half the height, it feels like a perfect trade-off—great value without compromising the experience. We timed our visit for around sunset and it couldn’t have been better. The views of downtown Calgary, the Bow River, and the Rockies glowing in the evening light were absolutely stunning. From the glass floor to the 360-degree panorama, every angle offered something memorable. Overall, the Calgary Tower provides amazing scenery and a fair price point that makes it easy to recommend. If you can, plan your visit for sunset—you’ll catch the city at its most beautiful.

It was definitely worth going once! You get to see the city from a view point that’s quite amazing. However it is super important to figure out what time you should go there. I wouldn’t go again though because I do not think the ticket prices are worth multiple visits.

We didn't buy the ticket to the top but we had a dinner in 360 sky restaurant at the top of the tower. The foods were out of the world and the price was right for a sky tower restaurant. We spent $200 incl tips there, while we spent $500 in Look up tower restaurant in Vancouver, ever the foods here much better than Vancouver. We don't have to wear fancy dress here, casual is okay.

Came here for Folk Fest and it did not disappoint! It is an amazing venue to hold such a popular festival. There are multiple stages with remarkably good sound systems and plenty of natural grass to sit on. The breeze from the river sure is welcome under the hot sun 🌞 There is a great big children's playground here that is quite popular. The benches around it are perfect for parents to sit at while letting their kids burn off their energy. In the Spring there are plenty of Canada geese that nest 🪺 and prepare their goslings for life outside the nest. With all of the natural beauty it is a great escape from the urban jungle just across the bridge.

Super nice quiet park in the heart of downtown. Lots of space, large trees, benches, flower gardens. With the river on both sides it really is a quiet area. Everyone at the park is doing the same thing - just enjoying. Can be super busy on summer weekends or holidays. So bicycling can be a slow process because of the crowds!

Excellent park with broad walkway, washrooms, great view of river and downtown, must visit this park if you are at peace bridge. You can even rent a neuron e bike/scooter to stroll around. Great place to spend a nice evening. Lots of picnic spots were available both shaded and unshaded. Public washrooms were at the River Cafe there is even a playground with lots of kids activity for kids to have fun. Highly recommended park in the heart of Calgary. Nice park, not far from downtown Calgary if you're on foot. It was cold and windy when we went there, but the parked seemed nice nonetheless. We saw many squirrels and there are beautiful flowers everywhere. Also a good spot to take some pictures of Bow River, but in a sunny day it must be much nicer.

I parked at the Crescent Heights scenic point and walked into the Prince’s Island Park via the connecting stairs. Pro: I did not need to worry about parking and could instead focus on how BEAUTIFUL the park was and how joyful the people were. Con: I had to walk up a gazillion stairs to get back to my car. Depending on your enthusiasm for cardio, this con can become your pro as I saw a bunch of people exercising by running up and down the stairs. I cannot relate. This may be an ignorant American viewpoint, but are Canadians just that much happier and healthier?? I went on a 2-mile (sorry I don’t know what that is in kilometers) walk around the park and not only did I see beautiful views, I also interacted with lovely people. There were many recreational enjoyers of the park and they took the time to look me in the eyes and smiled at me?? The camaraderie was off the charts. With that said, I feel for the homeowners who live right next to the park because they have to deal with very loud car pollution from the road (side facing Crescent Heights). While walking back to my car, I did have the thought that I should’ve brought my noise canceling headphones because it was so loud that I could not think. If the city of Calgary can invest in safer streets by converting that arterial road into bike and pedestrian paths instead, that would make the park experience that much better. It is my wishful thinking, and I think it could work since driving on that road didn’t seem all that stress-free either. It was clogged up with anxious drivers waiting to get the heck out of there, and it was where I heard the first loud horn during my stay in Canada.

Nice place to take a stroll. It is nice to see the park under every different seasons. You will appreciate to sit on a bench and read a nice book while enjoying the scenery. There is a cafe situated in the park if you want to enjoy a hot beverage. Squirrels and ducks will be your companion in your journey.

I visited this park during July end. The park is very beautiful and clean. The neighborhood is lovely. The park is on the banks of Bow River. Water is dark blue and looks very scenic. However, parking was limited. We went to the peace bridge, and even though it was under construction, the bridge looked beautiful.

Great amusement park for kids and parents/families, and lots of stuff for teens too. So many rides toddlers can go on if they are tall enough. Even when the parking is packed it is not too big of a wait for a lot of the smaller rides. The water rides are a long wait and close an hour before closing time. Lots of bathrooms around. Lots of food options. Shaved ice and pineapple dole whip is vegan. Cool Halloween vibes when summer season is over. Decorated all throughout the park.

Coming into the parking lot, everyone was parking to the left as it looks like they are building something on the right. They have lots of people waving you in telling you where to park. They have many booths to pay for your tickets as you go in. I do recommend buying your ticket online before going in. When you went to the park you can go to the left or to the right. I recommend going to the roller coaster first. The lineups can get quite long. The roller coaster and the log ride usually get the longest lines. The staff is very friendly and the park is very clean. I do find the water is expensive there so bring your own water to drink. They do have an area with lots of picnic tables for you to have a lunch. I have a 2 year old and he could go on about nine rides. When my daughter was 9 she could go on every single ride. Overall I do like this park. I do believe it is time to add some new rides. We went September 14th and they had Halloween days starting. They had parades and they had people dressed up everywhere.

The park is great, especially for kids and probably some teenagers up to around 14 years old. There are lots of fun rides for children, bright swings, and a Parade of Fairy-Tale Characters (they were handing out delicious candies). We also bought some food — the fries were very tasty. There are small lines for the restrooms. We’ll definitely visit this place again!

I visited Calaway Park and had a fantastic time! The park was spotless, the staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was full of energy. It’s clearly a perfect spot for families—so many smiling kids and parents enjoying the day. Whether you’re with a group or on your own, it’s a fun, well-run park that’s worth the visit!

IF YOU WANT A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE THE WHOLE FAMILY, THIS IS IT! Amazing experience! They have rides for kids rides for adults, add rides for really small kids as well! There are lineups and that long. The most We ever waited was about half an hour. It is $52 to get in the dollars to get in the door if you are 13 to 65 years of age.

Great value. Lots of rides and activities for my 5 and 7 year old kids. Did not have to wait more than 5-10 minutes for the rides. We would come back for sure. We liked the magic show.

Fun lil park. Definitely for kids - we had fun for maybe 2 hours and that’s all there is to do as an adult. It’s closer to Calgary - the only perk. There were some rides that charge you additional $2-$5 on top of the entry ticket. Haunted house was a joke. Extremely long queues. Overpriced snacks and drinks. Meh! If you want to visit on a weekend, plan ahead cos parking is going to take you a long time.

Excellent spot to enjoy a nice day out with family or friends. There are plenty of picnic spots spread out around the entire pond and most have bbq/fire pits. The path around the pond is well maintained and it’s a nice, easy walk. There are also benches along the water to stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It does get busy so get there early to secure the perfect spot! There is plenty of parking, and some restrooms. It is at the end of the paved portion of the road and keep in mind that the road is closed in winter. A Kananaskis pass is required in this area.

Forget-Me-Not Pond is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful—perfect for a relaxing nature escape. This was a beautiful walk - kid and stroller friendly and the views of the mountains were breathtaking!! This was our first time coming and won't be out last - especially only being 50 min from Calgary!!!

I recently visited forgetmenot pond, and the experience was both peaceful and refreshing. The natural scenery was stunning — calm waters surrounded by lush greenery, birdsong in the background, and a light breeze that made the whole atmosphere feel serene. Whether you’re looking to relax, enjoy a picnic, or go for a walk, the lake is a perfect spot. Definitely gonna come back.

Every time we want to spend a fun afternoon with family and friends, we come here. The size of the pond is perfect for kids and adults to go in on a boat or even take a swim, while you can picnic or bbq your favourite meals. Parking is very limited so make sure you arrive really early in the morning since this place is very popular.

Please buy Kananaskis Pass to avoid any potential tickets or trouble. $15 for 1 day. So expensive but it's per vehicle. There is no wait time at this beautiful park but expect tons of people taking up benches and picnic tables. If you want to guarantee a spot of your choice on the weekend arrive by 9am. Tons of people and kids on the water, paddle boarding and playing. Pet friendly and absolutely BBQ and family friendly. Canopy is a good idea for the sun and bug spray good idea for the mosquitoes. I also recommend sunscreen when it's super sunny and hot. The water at forget me not pond is ice cold. It barely ever warms up and takes a while to get used too. Bathrooms are regular outhouses and stink but not much to expect here. Limited parking is an issue. It is absolutely first come first served. People park where it says no parking and do anything it takes because parking does run out. This location has no service and really no service within 10-15km based on our drive. Make sure your family/party knows what they are doing and where they are going. Small wagens or dollies are good for transporting coolers and gear because your spot may be a 5min walk away. You are allowed to drink at designed tables and fires are fair game. Check for fire bans in case. Clean up your garbage to keep this park as clean as possible. Always a great time having parties and events at forget me not pond. A must see!

Great picnic spot. Day use only. Each site has a fire pit with a grill and a picnic table and the sites are large enough to accommodate big family gatherings. The site are very close to the river, some of them right alongside it. There is not a lot of space between sites but they are decently private and the rushing river blocks the sound. Some sites are a bit farther from the rest. This is along the elbow river trail so you can make a nice day of exploring the trails

This was a great area to stop for a BBQ lunch!!! There is a few picnic tables,they were all taken, and very close together.. . We enjoyed our lunch on the rocks !!! River runs through this area !

Beautiful location along the Elbow. Lots of picnic sites and all have fire pits. Not as crowded as Bragg Creek Provincial Park or the main campgrounds. A nice hideaway.

Boat launch with small picnic areas accessible via rocky pathways. Not wheelchair recommended. Garbage can and bathroom in parking lot only. Kananaskis park pass required.

I've been going to this place for years. The flood of 2013 has changed the landscape, however, I still love it there. There are picnic tables available, so pack a snack and spend the day out in nature. Lots of parking available.

It's a beautiful spot. You can picnic frome here, hike, or start a canoe trip down the Elbow river.

The tour was more intense than I expected and I loved it! I've done a cave tour in New Zealand and it was nice, but mostly walking. We did the Adventure tour which had some polished climbing sections , a rappel, and some optional very tight squeezes (The second photo is in the optional Laundry Chute, which was tight but super fun!). This tour was definitely worth the cost and I totally recommend it for someone with at least moderate fitness

Canmore Cave Tours is SO much fun! I brought a group of 7 to do the Adventure Tour. Our guide Annie was so knowledgeable and kept us calm and safe while exploring the caves. I highly recommended doing a tour with them, I gained so much confidence in myself and it was such a good way to bond with my friends (who are all different body shapes & sizes). When we left the cave, my friends and I all said we want to go AGAIN or maybe even take a caving course with them!! Additionally, if you have any hesitations or questions, their admin was super helpful and informative.

Amaaazing adventure 🫶! Loved it! I took the Adventurous Tour — we started around 10:15 am and finished about 4 pm. We met at the office, tried on our overalls and gloves, grabbed our gear, drove a short distance, and then hiked about 30–40 minutes up Grotto Mountain. At the shelter, we had some snacks, got fully geared up, and headed off to the caves. We spent about 3.5 to 4 hours inside, and it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted! We rappelled about 20 meters into the dark, squeezed through the “Laundry Chute,” and explored so many cool spots. It was so peaceful and full of great memories. Since it was shoulder season, there were only five of us — we had the whole cave to ourselves! Our guide, John, was patient and full of amazing stories about wildlife and geology. Wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend — thank you!🫶🫶🫶

What an incredible experience this adventure with Canmore cave tours was. My sister, my son and I went on an epic cave tour of the rats nest cave by Canmore. Holy moly!! I can’t say enough good words! Our cave guide Annie was super amazing!! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and very encouraging! She definitely helped us push our limits today. It was just an all around super day!! Thanks so much!! 20/10 experience. 10 stars, five isn’t enough!!!!

We did the adventure tour with Brent. It was our first time in a cave, and it was the best outdoor (indoor?) experience of my life. Brent was an amazing, highly knowledgeable, and friendly guide. He was attentive to everyone’s safety without ever being overbearing. He motivated us to push our limits and offered encouragement when needed. The cave itself was stunning, and I only wish we could have stayed longer and explored more. I’m deeply grateful for the experience and can’t wait to one day be back in a cave!

Took my 3 boys today. Very fun experience. Our guide John was friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly challenging scrambling at times, with some sections requiring safety rope.

Amazing, awesome, and incredible!! Our group was amazing and our guide Annie was amazing and so friendly! Even when someone in our group dislocated her shoulder (not at all anyone's fault, it's an old injury), Annie was very calm and reassuring and she and John helped her slowly back up and got her out! Anyways very good very fun, we all had an amazing experience!! 10000/10 stars, would do again!!

Beautiful, family-friendly hike! I visited Grassi Lakes Interpretive Trail yesterday and it was such a lovely experience. The trail is well marked and not too difficult, making it great for families, casual hikers or anyone looking to enjoy nature without a super strenuous climb. The views along the way are stunning, especially when you reach the crystal clear turquoise lakes at the top. There are two route options. The easier path is perfect if you are with kids or want a steady stroll, while the more challenging route rewards you with waterfalls and extra scenery. Both are worth it. Parking can get busy, so I recommend going earlier in the day if possible. Overall, it is an absolute gem in Canmore and one I would happily do again.

Just outside of Canmore is this neat hidden gem worth hiking to! The path markers are wrong as far as distance so anticipate a little more. The hike to the Lake is all up hill but coming back is all downhill. GPS will take you past it to the wrong spot to Whiteman’s Lake so when you see the sign for the parking lot take it! Port a potty’s have no sinks so bring wipes or sanitizer. This gem is worth the hike, people complain about it being busy but of course. It’s a tourist area and people come here. So don’t let that discourage you! We thoroughly enjoyed this. Took about 2 hours to hike up to it, see it and come back. We did spend a good amount of time there too!

A chill hike with stunning views. Personally for me the interpretive trail was easier- gradual incline with a push towards the end on the stairs, but you wont feel it as the views will have you make frequent photo stops. Then make the loop to go down through the other side, which would be a steep incline all the way (and no views) if you choose to go up this way.

Absolutely beautiful no matter the weather! Probably the best bang for your climbing efforts if you can't do anything else in Canmore. Trailhead bottom has a lot of free parking and toilets. The hike itself is a very easy 2km with rewarding views overlooking the lakes, and you get to see crystal-clear lakes at the top as well!

Great views. Lots of trails around the lakes. Walked 9km. Beautiful and clear early morning . Easy route bypasses a lot of scenery but allows all levels of hikers access to the two lakes .

We took the unpaved road to go up to see this pretty lake from top, view was breathtaking but the road was super scary and steep and narrow so veey hard if 2 cars go up the same time, wish we had taken the lower parking to just see it but we wanted to see it from up so took that road, other than that Very pretty lake, beautiful views, you can soak in the nature, breathe in and take nice pictures. The parking lot is decent,there’s washrooms and short walk so definitely must try!

This hike was well worth it. It’s a small hike and the left side is a bit trickier but wayyyyyy worth it for the views. It’s overall easy but you just have to watch your footing cause you’re walking along a stream the whole time (if you take the left side).

World class facility. It has the best, and most beautiful, disc golf course in Alberta. There is a riding path right right next to it with jumps and high angle curves. Wildlife like deer all over the course. It's really incredible.

The Nordic Center is awesome! Fun times on good trails all season long. The day lodge has a small cafeteria; WiFi is available and password protected. Check the website before you go to see if there is an event while you're here and if there are any trail closures. Large sections of the park don't have cell service. Download your maps and carry an InReach.

Amazing variety of mountain bike terrain surrounded by gorgeous views. The day lodge facility is pretty nice with seating, information desk and a cafeteria. I got a flat tire on one of the trails and the staff at the bike shop by the day lodge let me use their tools and stand so I could fix it. There is a lot of construction by the biathlon range (north end of day lodge / parking area complex) which made it a bit disorienting when trying to find some of the trailheads but you forget about that once you're out there.

Lovely in winter or summer. I was surprised to see the cafeteria open! Good looking snacks - don’t get anything myself.

Was here at the end of September. This is the time between summer and winter. So not a lot of people. I was here to register my car for the Kananaskis Park. You give them your plate number. Now if I park in the Park, I won't get a ticket. I registered my rental car but if I return again I can update the plate number to my next car. I was staying in the area for 12 days. An annual pass is cheaper than 12 one day passes. There is a lot of history about cross country skiing and biathlon. Go to the cafeteria area and check out the displays. Only took a couple of minutes to buy a pass. Plenty of parking. We also walked around the area on some of the nearby trails. Close to Canmore and stunningly beautiful area.

Had a fantastic day x-country skiing at the Nordic Centre. Love that you pay for your pass and can literally walk out the back door and be on a trail. The trails were well groomed and well marked. Loved the chalet as well, was cozy and had bathrooms, water fountains, loads of tables and a fire place. There’s also a good café there. If you need to secure anything you can rent a locker for 25 cents.

Great place for hiking. All levels, lengths and types of trails.
