This is the most beautiful water I have ever swam in. It’s very cold but feels so amazing. There are several dirt parking lots along hwy 2 to access the river and you have to walk down a fairly steep trail. Pretty magical place. There weren’t many people there either with made it even better. No bathrooms.

Amazing rapids. Great for day run, class 3 and 4 with easily spotted hazards during mid flow. Pinball gets more difficult in lower flows under 2kcfs.

I love this river but I'm not going to tell all its secrets because I enjoyed finding them myself

It's a river. It didn't put the wrong condiment on your sandwich or talk down to you. How can you give a natural landmark anything less than 5 stars?

Two Medicine Lake is a remote and serene destination nestled amidst mountains, offering a variety of activities for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the area through scenic trails that lead to picturesque views, tranquil lakes, and cascading waterfalls. The lake also features a campground and boat rides for those seeking outdoor adventures. Additionally, the historic chalet-turned-store adds a touch of nostalgia to the experience.
We took the boat tour and stepped off to hike back. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Beautiful waterfalls and scenery along the way. The hike had a few challenging parts to it but nothing too difficult. We went in early June and it was a little muddy so I would recommend hiking boots.
Alison W — Google review
We had the best time at Two Medicine Lake. It was definitely more slower paced, peaceful and not nearly as overcrowded when compared to the other side of the park.
Esmeralda M — Google review
The most beautiful place in Glacier National Park. So serene and beautiful hard to leave. There are plenty of day hikes all around this place. The boat launch is nearby for a trip across the lake to do a hike to Twin Falls or walk 4 miles or so around. There is a General Store that offers some souvenirs and snack items . Park workers are enthusiastically friendly and helpful. Goats roam the campground area freely be sure to drive through campground area section as well and park and enjoy the views and trails

I walked to the shore and sat down to meditate, but started crying immediately. I'm not sure if it was just the stunning beauty and the peace I felt, or if it was something more. What I am sure of is that I only experienced a little taste of why the indigenous people named this place Two Medicine. There's something healing about it.
Dean K — Google review
Two Medicine Lake, nestled in the southeastern corner of Glacier National Park, offers a serene and less-traveled alternative to the park’s more frequented areas. With its tranquil waters, stunning mountain backdrops, and a variety of outdoor activities, it provides a quintessential Glacier experience. Canoeing & Kayaking: For those seeking a more tranquil experience, canoeing or kayaking on the lake allows for close encounters with nature in a peaceful setting. Recommended! Boat Tours: The Glacier Park Boat Company operates tours across the lake, providing informative rides that offer unique perspectives of the surrounding landscape.
Dip C — Google review
Definitely worth the trip if you want to get some beautiful pics. As far as a mountain lake setting, it’s hard to beat.
Canadian M — Google review
Very serene, quiet, and very real. We hiked to lake, Falls and outlook. Steep hike to outlook. Beats are in the area, we did see a partial grizzly and appreciated the loud growls after we cleared the area.

Running Eagle Falls

Mentioned on

Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Running Eagle Falls, also known as Trick Falls, is a stunning 32-foot waterfall located in Glacier National Park. It is easily accessible and can even be reached by wheelchair users. During spring, the waterfall appears to fall in on itself due to a larger influx of water, concealing the cascade below that emerges from an underground cave. The trail leading to the overlook of Running Eagle Falls is considered stroller-friendly and wheelchair accessible.
Easy, flat trail that is partially paved. The waterfall is gorgeous and the creek is a great place to cool your feet off on a hot day. We went early and it wasn’t crowded.
Shana D — Google review
Very easy trail. It is a quick walk to the waterfall. Pretty spectacular waterfall coming out of the hillside, good swimming hole for hot days. Not a lot of people there.
Sadie K — Google review
It's a nice and quiet place to enjoy the nature. The eagle falls itself is probably the top attraction but I also liked the nature trail.
Farshina N — Google review
A beautiful and short hike to do with friends or family. Trail is very flat and easy. The view of Running Eagle Falls at the end is wonderful, and a classic image of Glacier Park. Would definitely recommend if looking for something quick to do with a nice payoff.
Gabriella — Google review
Truly incredible cave waterfall. The half mile walk in is paved if you take the right hand path and very accessible for those with mobility problems.

Came out last week. Low crowds, easy in and out. Great short one for any kiddos, easily do this and a few other ones if your planning the day out. Good stroll along the stream as well!

Perfect and quick little hike to a very interesting waterfall. Due to high water levels, both falls were going. Highly recommend.

The Museum of the Plains Indian, situated in an unremarkable brick building, boasts a remarkable assortment of costumes, artwork, handicrafts and relics that celebrate the cultures of various indigenous tribes such as the Crow and Cree. The museum provides a fascinating insight into these tribes' history and customs through meticulously crafted exhibits. To fully understand the area's significance, visitors can join guided tours led by tribal members or take part in hikes offered by Sun Tours.
Museum has plenty of fascinating objects, art, clothing and information. Well worth the admission free. Staff were friendly and informative. Good washrooms (only accessible with the entry fee).
Anthony I — Google review
Very small museum but interesting if you want to learn more about the Plains Indians. Definitely worth a stop if you are driving through East Glacier and you will be driving by.
Celeste J — Google review
Lovely display, enjoyable chats with your resident artists. They are so talented. It's a shame your gift shop doesn't have more crafts from local crafters.
Edwina T — Google review
We loved this museum!! The exhibits were amazing - providing excellent information on some ways of life, tools, and excellent craftsmanship. We were there when there were some Black Fleet artists demonstrating their art - drawing and beading. It was lovely to watch them and talk to them. (We visited at the end of September. It was nicely attended but not crowded. We don’t know what it would be like in the summer.)
Elizabeth P — Google review
The museum itself is very good - I don’t think I’ve seen a more complete and well preserved collection of plains Indian artifacts anywhere else. The museum was informative and small enough that it’s not too much of a commitment to do the whole thing. The highlight of the entire tour was the native artist area where we got to speak with and watch local artists creating their wares. I unfortunately have to knock off a star for the gift shop. There’s a sign by the counter advertising locally made items, but you need to check them yourself - it doesn’t apply to everything in the shop, so double check tags before buying if you’re going with the intention of supporting local artisans.
Reese B — Google review
Such a cool little museum! The works they have are so interesting and many are several centuries old. What’s even cooler is the room for local Blackfeet artists. Many of them work out of there and we had some lovely conversations with members of the tribe. Highly recommend.
Sam S — Google review
Beautiful displays of authentic and historical Native American clothing, tools, weapons. History references of significant events, helpful curators and staff, original art demonstrations and sale of Native Arts and crafts. A must see if authentic Western History is your goal.
Susan P — Google review
This museum gives a good overview of Plains Indian history and culture. It has beautiful objects with clear instructions as to how people made them. It also includes the work of contemporary Native American artists. No photography is allowed inside.

For an immersive experience, guests have the option to stay in authentic Blackfoot Tipis featuring a central fireplace.
Quiet, clean, very peaceful little cabin! Amazing porch area to sit & read a book, able to see for miles across the prairie. Shared little fridge, microwave, grill, toaster, coffee maker, etc. Would also recommend going to the Museum of the Plains Indian down the street.
Andrea V — Google review
Really nice place to stay. It’s really peaceful because there’s nothing else there so no noise. It has everything you need, the room has a heater if it gets cold, a sofa and a table and a little porch outside to enjoy the sunset. The bathrooms are really clean and they give you everything, towels, soap, shampoo. And they have a little kitchen with a microwave, fridge and plates and glasses if you need something. In general the stay was lovely, only thing is that the bathrooms are outside and you have to walk a little and it gets really really cold so that’s the only bad thing, but they mention it in the description that they are shared bathrooms.
Carolina L — Google review
We had a great time. Approached like tent camping, the tipi was comfortable and the fire relaxing. There was a nice place for breakfast both inside or outside with self-serve amenities. The showers were warm and clean. We didn't bring any camping gear just warm clothes to sleep in, it got down to 39 the night we were there, so slept in a couple of layers. If you haven't slept in this kind of weather, wear a stocking cap it makes a big difference! We rebuilt the fire in early morning for a slight warm up. The owners and person who checked is in were very polite and helpful. As guests we also helped each other, so engaging others and self help made for a good evening and visit. And the dogs were friendly too.
Brian S — Google review
Stayed here with our family of five (kids are 9, 7 and 2) and it was a great experience. The tipis are spacious and provide shelter from the elements, and the bathrooms, showers and dining area are all nice amenities. A great option for anyone staying on the east side of Glacier looking for a more affordable and unique experience!
Jon K — Google review
I am sitting on the porch and enjoying a stunning view. The prairie, the lake, the Rocky Mountains. If you want to try something different and connect with the nature, this is the place. You 'll sleep in a tepee but still having all the amenities: very clean showers, a great room where you can just sit and enjoy the time , a kitchen with a coffee machine, a mini fridge, tables where you can cook and eat, free wifi, and great hosts. Plus two lovely and very friendly cats. The art gallery is great, a lot of beautiful native Indian objects, books and magazines to read. We travel and camp a lot, but this place is the best I've ever camped.
Dina G — Google review
Great little spot to stay relatively close to Glacier National. I reserved the Bison cabin and although $130 a night is pretty steep for a little bungalow, the location is great. Free coffee, bananas, zucchini bread, hot showers and towel in the morning. Consider getting a tipi, opening the top flap more and lighting a fire at night!
Erich R — Google review
Stayed here for one night, would have liked to have stayed for another. It was a highlight of my trip. The good: * beautiful view * unique experience * Nice owner as far as I can tell * Clean facilities * 30 minutes away from the best places in East Glacier * Coyotes, wild-life, fire in your tent, yeah cool experience. * Neigboring dogs came and said hi, sweetest pooches ever The bad: * There was construction nearby that was noisy until late at night and started again early in the morning * The area, as beautiful as it is, has limited options when it comes to restaurants etc, Browning itself is poor and doesn't feel very safe, luckily the tipi is a short drive away from Browning, but some nice restaurants/ super markets would have been good.. I read a few of the negative reviews, don't go here if you are expecting a hotel... It's a tipi.... Yeah you hear coyotes etc, go figure... No AC either lol.
Niels H — Google review
Tipi experience was amazing. The bedding arrangements were neat. Bugs become your best friends. Hosts are warm and welcoming. Please make sure you don’t overstay even by 10 mins. They will turn cold on you.

Located in Apgar Village, the Apgar Visitor Center is a small cabin built in 1929 and offers park maps, books, ranger programs, and displays of flora and fauna. It features interactive activities for kids such as feeling a grizzly bear's fur and identifying birds by their 'songs.' The center also showcases educational displays about plants found in the park and habitats of wildlife. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the Glacier Park Express to reach the center during summer months.
The visitor center is at Logan Pass, one of the most popular stops on the Going To The Sun Road in Glacier National Park and at the continental divide. The visitor center is okay. Has interesting information about the area which what I want from it. But as for the gift shop, the selection is limited. Yet the most important reason to visit the center is the GORGEOUS scenery at Logan pass. I recommend taking the short hike to the hidden lake if you are physically able to, Wow. And anyone you talk to about Glacier Park I am sure will agree, I can't miss National Park.
John K — Google review
Apgar visitors center is located on the southern end of McDonald Lake. Its a great starting point for your trip into the park area. There are canoe rentals along with paddle board. Campground are located in and around the area but permits are needed along with you park pass. This also has a shopping area with lots of shops and coffee. Views are awesome and the lake is crystal clear. Make no mistake, this a great place to start your adventure.
Tracey/Len T — Google review
The Apgar Visitor Center at Glacier National Park was great. Very organized, you could tell where you were supposed to catch your Red Bus tour, a lot of rangers available for questions, great store with lots of hats, shirts, and souvenirs. Unfortunately, their parking lot is pretty small for the amount of people that show up. But if you wait on the hour for a tour to end, then parking is more readily available. Just get there early and be patient with parking.
A M — Google review
Glacier is a beautiful park with incredible views. The visitor center is a good stop before you head into the park. They have a good shop inside with good prices. The park rangers were helpful with questions. There is also a large trail map inside so you can preplan your trip into the park. Keep Your eyes open for grizzly bears. They are not easy to spot in the mountains but super cool when you do see one.
Robert G — Google review
I visited the Apgar Center the day before Glacier National Park "opened" for the summer. It wasn't overly busy, which is good because it's not a very big place. I imagine during the busy summer months it can get very crowded. The rangers were stationed outside in front of the gift shop. The gift shop is large with a wide variety of souvenirs to choose from. Behind the center is a short trail that goes to the shore of Lake McDonald, which is stunningly beautiful.
Chad S — Google review
Very nice facility with helpful park service employees and rangers on hand. Make sure to visit the gift shop to help support the park. This is one of the pickup points for Red Bus tours and you will see them lining up on the side of the building. We were at the Center in September and parking was available. Would imagine parking will be very limited in high season. As a side note you do not need a timed permit to visit the center. One is needed to go further into the park at certain times.
Tim F — Google review
Park rangers are knowledgeable and ready to answer all your questions. There is a Junior Randers program and you can get the book from the rangers. It's a fun way to encourage kids to learn about the park. Gift shop inside. Shuttle bus stop outside.
Louise B — Google review
First, it was the second time visiting this beautiful national park. Such an amazing place with a beautiful road, under some interesting maintenance. While it is worth noticing the increase in visitors from all over the globe and locals, it provides the peace and warm for your soul. As for this place call Apgar Visitor Center, wifi is great, but seats not very confy. It is against federal law to plug your personal devices in any, any, but any electricity charging station. Was told, " it is not allow to use federal electrical outlets" such offense, as experienced, comes with a so call owner of such federal building, telling those progresive and last words. While it is great to see public and free transportation, it is not great to experienced rude and merciless park rangers. Such experience wont be forgotten, as it reminds me of those colourful pictures attached.

Lake McDonald, the largest lake in Glacier National Park, is a picturesque alpine lake that offers various activities such as kayaking and canoeing. The surrounding mountains provide a stunning backdrop for landscape photography during sunrise or sunset, with the calm waters of the lake reflecting the vibrant colors of the sky. Additionally, it's a popular spot for fishing and hiking to nearby attractions like Hidden Lake and Avalanche Lake.
Beautiful! We loved taking out a motorboat on this lake! Another time we did kayak/SUP. And we also liked to come eat some huckleberry ice cream and sit out on the benches to watch the sunset over the lake
Leah P — Google review
Beautiful lake, super clear water when the wind isn't making waves. The rocks have amazing colors. There are many different turnout spots where you can walk down and see the lake. It has great swimming opportunities as well as beaches to just lay and relax in the sun. I would recommend taking time to stop and walk down to the water for a better view when looking for a great reflective shot.

An extremely beautiful spot! We came here as our last stop on the way out of the park. There weren’t a lot of people, the views were amazing, and the sound of the water was peaceful. A great view of the mountains with the lake and colorful rocks
Maham B — Google review
I have too many pictures of this lake from my trip. It’s beautiful, quiet during sunrise/sunset times and there are a plethora of areas to pull off at and take pictures!

Amazing views. Super clear water. Not too crowded when I was there but definitely could be during peak season as the beach is pretty small. Brought my inflatable kayak. All watercraft must be inspected and tagged by NPS before being allowed on the lake

Virginia Falls is a breathtaking destination that beckons adventurers with its stunning cascades, accessible via a scenic hike through the lush forest. Nestled within Glacier National Park, it pairs beautifully with St. Mary Falls for an unforgettable out-and-back trek. Starting from the St. Mary Falls shuttle stop or nearby trailhead, hikers are treated to panoramic views of the picturesque St. Mary Lake, framed by towering mountains that rise dramatically above its shimmering waters.
The falls is worth the hike, absolutely stunning. Took my breath away when I saw it, also the crowd makes a lot of difference. When we got there there was no crowd so we had the falls all to ourselves for may be around half an hour. The photos and videos just won’t justify it. One of my best experiences of the glacier.

Absolutely stunning falls!!! The hike up to them was so pretty, and the waterfall was breathtaking! Probably my favorite hike at Glacier National Park. So beautiful!!!!
Kaitley C — Google review
The falls were so beautiful! Would highly recommend this trail! We also saw moose in the water here.
Leah P — Google review
This falls is a must see and experience. My daughter and I hiked here in mid June 2024 and the power and the beauty is a must experience. You can get almost under the falls but the force of the water and the winds were so strong that it made it impossible. It's a refreshing hike on a hot day because you will get wet.
Doug — Google review
Falls were stunning and well worth the hike!
Sam V — Google review
This is a great capstone to Saint Mary’s Falls. It is much bigger with lots of smaller falls as you climb up to it. There are great views from the bottom and up top. The trails are in good condition but it is a little steep of a climb up. It felt like never ending views on this trail.
Keet B — Google review
This was a great hike and a great falls with beautiful scenery every direction I looked. Be sure to head down every side trail or you will likely miss a great pic. Some of the views required a little sure footed work. Take something warmer for the top as the temp drops quite a bit. Click the like button if the review was helpful or if you like the pics. Feel free to share.

One of the best falls. You have to hike abit from StMarys falls but end falls were fantastic. Couple of bears near to bushes at stmarys but be careful with wildlife. Feels like a lot of walk from parking lot to St Marys as its open area with lot of sun but its mostly shaded from St Marys to Virginia falls.

Saint Mary Falls is a picturesque 35-foot waterfall located in Glacier National Park, offering visitors the chance to embark on a moderate hiking trail to reach this natural wonder. The falls are renowned for their three separate tiers and vibrant greenish-blue hues, making them a popular attraction during the summer months. Accessible from the St. Mary Falls Cutoff Trailhead or the Sun Point Parking lot, hikers can enjoy the scenic beauty of Saint Mary Falls as part of a longer trek along the St.
It’s an easy hike to St Mary Falls. St. Mary Falls drops roughly 35 feet in three separate tiers, with the two largest being the most photogenic. I started my hike right after sunrise and there were very few people.

Great short hike for families with young kids. The waterfall is beautiful and makes for perfect photo spots. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something easy and scenic.
Abhi R — Google review
This was a very fun hike. I really enjoyed it. The waterfall was very beautiful. Make sure you get there early in the morning to ensure parking. We got there at seven and it filled up by eight. Also be careful on the wood bridge since I got a splinter. I would definitely come back here because the falls are super pretty and you can go swimming in the river. Just be careful. The views are amazing. The trail is very busy. Once you’re there, there’s a lot of great places to sit and have a snack and enjoy the view! It is also in bear country so be careful for bears because some people saw them we didn’t, but I would still be careful and bring bear spray
SkiRacer_35 — Google review
Nice little hike to the falls. Beautiful views along the trail. Everyone said we should've kept going to Virginia Falls, but it started pouring on us, and I didn't want to float away.
Joshua T — Google review
This is a good short hike. I’d say it’s easy because going in is basically downhill but that means the hike out is uphill. Still, I this mostly easy with a lake and two falls to view. You could swim if you want to because there’s a small beach under the falls. This is a good short stop if you have a bigger one or long drive on your agenda. We entered the park before 7 and didn’t have to get a pass for The Road to the Sun.
Sharie K — Google review
We recently visited St. Mary's and Virginia Falls with our infant. St. Mary's Falls truly impressed us with its stunning blue water cascading over iconic red rocks, making for an amazing sight, the hike itself was a moderate 2.5-mile round trip from the parking area, mostly downhill to the falls and then uphill on the return, all while offering amazing landscapes. Be warned, parking is extremely limited; we had to wait for about 30 minutes just to get a spot on a Sunday.
Jay N — Google review
The hike was easy, I believe the guide says moderate, not sure what qualifies it as moderate. We had a 2 year old with us and he did just fine. Great falls even in late September.

6-11-25, Sunny and warm, started after 9am. Plenty of parking in the campground. Scat on the trail but no bears. Dry trail except near the water. We hiked past the Trail Ends sign to the snow field. About 4-5 falls past the lake are in view depending on your location on the lake edge.

Avalanche Lake was absolutely gorgeous and worth the hike! The trail is about 2 miles each way and not too difficult—shaded, with streams and waterfalls along the way, so it stays interesting. When you finally reach the lake, the view is stunning: turquoise water surrounded by tall cliffs and multiple waterfalls cascading down into it. It felt peaceful and refreshing, even with other hikers around. Tip: Go early to avoid crowds and bring water/snacks—you’ll want to stay and enjoy the view for a while. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Glacier National Park!

Beautiful, well-maintained trail with stunning views from start to finish. The hike winds through lush forest along Avalanche Creek, and ends at the breathtaking Avalanche Lake — crystal-clear water, towering cliffs, and waterfalls. We even spotted a deer and marmot along the way. A must-do in Glacier National Park!

We combined this with the trail of the cedars. My alltrails said 7.1 miles and my wifes apple watch said 7.5 when all was said and done but I had heard it was 5.9 beforehand. Either way, all ages and sizes were accomplishing this hike although most everyone we saw were taking breaks. We were able to do this without taking breaks besides photo ops and spent some time at the lake, exploring. The incline is slow and steady, totaling around 600-700' when done, with barely any of it on the way back. I highly recommend hitting the fishing trail as soon as you see the lake, but also walking to the other side of the lake. The views from both ends are breathtaking. We got here around 630am on a Wednesday morning in early August, the lot was over half full with cars parking every few seconds. This is one of the more popular hikes. The lot is always full after 7am and you have to wait for spots.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Worth the Hike Avalanche Lake was one of the highlights of our trip to Glacier. The hike is about 2 miles each way—super manageable—and the trail is well maintained with beautiful trees and shaded spots throughout. You follow a creek for a good portion of the trail, and the sound of the water makes the hike feel peaceful the whole way. Once you reach the lake, the view is incredible. Crystal-clear water surrounded by massive cliffs and waterfalls pouring down in the distance. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to just sit down and take it all in. Definitely recommend packing a snack and staying for a bit. Easy to see why it’s a favorite—don’t skip it.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We hiked here and I have to say it wasn’t bad at all. We were a family of 5: my husband and I and our kids 12, 10 and 8.

Amazing hike. Around 5 miles round not much elevation. Loved the views!

Saint Mary Lake, a 10-mile long lake in Glacier National Park, is a picturesque destination offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and opportunities to capture beautiful images of the colorful wildflowers that bloom along its shores during summer. The lake reaches depths of up to 300 feet and is home to wildlife such as elk, bears, bald eagles, and osprey.
Took the 9am Boat tour around St Mary lake and it didn't disappoint. The views all around this lake are stunning.

Many people go to lake McDonald and miss out on this amazing gem. Visit the boat ramp area or the day use picnic area in the national park or there is also water access from outside the park but there is a hike to get to the beach

Beautiful lake! Very clear water
Derrick S — Google review
Saint Mary Lake is the second-largest lake in Glacier National Park, after Lake McDonald. It's located on the east side of the park, and as you drive along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, you will also be driving along it's northern shore. Saint Mary Lake's waters are cold and clear; they rarely get warmer than 50 °F and are home to various species of trout for fishing. The lake is almost 10-miles long and 300 feet deep. During the winter, the lake is often completely frozen over and the Going-to-the-Sun Road is closed. We found a pullout where we could park and walk down to the water along a narrow dirt path in a field of wildflowers. The pullout also had a picnic area, but it was too cold and windy for that. From the water, you can see Little Chief Mountain standing guard over the west end of the lake, and Wild Goose Island in the near distance. I remember visiting this place as a child and many memories flooded through my mind as I walked there. In 2015, wildfires struck the area and the damage from them will be for always. Please be careful. Despite all that it is still a very lovely place to pull over, listen to the silence and enjoy the view.

Hard to beat Saint Mary Lake in Glacier National Park. Located on the east side of the park along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, the 10-mile long lake provides numerous pullouts with opportunities to explore many hiking trails, see Jackson Glacier, and meet friendly and helpful staff rangers at the St. Mary Visitor Center. You can also experience the lake via a scenic boat cruise with Glacier Park Boat Company that provides tours June through September. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.

This is one of the picturesque parts of Glacier National Park and, no offense to any other place we saw, one of it's best lakes. Here you can experience beautifully clear water that looks a different color depending on what park of the lake you are at, contrasting mountains, and excellent natural wonders. Plus there are plenty of trails and overlooks for you to enjoy.

Hidden Lake in Montana is worth the hike! The view is amazing, with a beautiful lake and the stunning Bearhat Mountain in the background. The hike is not too hard, and when you reach the lake, the peaceful scenery and wildflowers along the way makes it all worth it. If you enjoy nature and great views, this place is a must-see!

Like all the hikes in Glacier National Park, this one is amazing and unforgettable, but has the bonus of being a very easy hike compared to most in Glacier. Also arrived at the parking lot around 9 a.m. on a Saturday and there were plenty of spots.

It is one of the most popular hikes in Glacier National park, Montana. Lots of stairs & it is an uphill trail to the beautiful lake. The trail of hidden lake starts behind the Logan pass visitor center. The view is amazing. We saw five big horn sheep on the trail. The lookout wooden platform is well maintained. The hike is moderate but worth it. You have to park your vehicle in Logan pass visitor center. Finding a parking spot is very difficult.
Poulami G — Google review
This is an amazing spot with a beautiful lake. It’s mostly boarded so easy to climb up. It is all up most of the first half but not a difficult hike. Fairly short. We saw mountain goats and rams. A beautiful experience. It does get very busy and the parking lot is fairly small so expect to wait for parking or have to leave and come back at another time
Diana S — Google review
While parking is a major challenge at Logan Pass, this is a hike worth taking. One of the best, if not the best, in Glacier National Park. It’s a boardwalk for much of it, so very easy, with only moderate elevation. The non-boardwalk parts are easy dirt trails. You can’t get lost. The “lookout” is a 1.5 mile straight shot and gets you to about 8000 ft. So 3 miles round trip. You can hike down another 1.5 miles down to the lake, but that obviously makes the hike an additional 3 miles. This is a must do hike, at least to the lookout. VictorB

What can I say. This is the most beautiful lake scenery in the whole Montana state. I love the hike and the sights all around the trail is just amazing. Anyone in the area must see this place. Views are breathtaking. Trust me these pictures doesn’t do the justice. It’s a place that need to be on your bucket list. I can not wait to go there again.
Naqeeb U — Google review
One of the beautiful alpine lakes in Glacier National Park. The start of the trail is through Logan pass. The trail takes you to the overlook and through the overlook there’s another trail that leads you down to the lake. Since the trail starts from Logan Pass, finding a parking spot is very challenging, so make sure you leave early. Chances of seeing wild goats on this trail is quite high. Also bear spotting is high when you walk down towards the lake from the overlook. During our time, the trail to the lake was closed because of the bears, so have your bear spray ready.

The Hidden Lake Trail starts at the Logan Pass Visitor Center and takes hikers through diverse terrain, from forested areas to alpine meadows teeming with wildlife and colorful wildflowers. The trail leads to the iconic Hidden Lake Overlook, where visitors can admire Bearhat Mountain towering over the twinkling alpine blue lake.
🌄 Breathtaking Beauty at Logan Pass! 🌄 Logan Pass is truly the crown jewel of the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park! The drive itself is spectacular, but reaching Logan Pass feels like arriving in a whole different world. Towering peaks, lush alpine meadows, and sweeping vistas in every direction — it’s picture-perfect at every turn. The Hidden Lake Overlook trail is a must-do if you visit. It’s a relatively short hike with incredible rewards: wildflowers, mountain goats, and panoramic views that make you stop and just take it all in. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so get there early or take the shuttle — it’s absolutely worth it. Whether you’re here for a scenic drive, wildlife spotting, or hiking, Logan Pass delivers a truly unforgettable experience. Don’t miss it!

What a PLACE!!! Absolutely stunning. Be sure to plan ahead and get the right passes. You need a pass to access the road and parking fills up fast. But the gorgeous hikes, views and wildlife sightings are unlike any others. It’s worth it to get up there early and watch the sunrise!

The short (about 3 miles round-trip) hike captures the majestic beauty of Glacier NP. More often than not, Bearhat Mountain & Hidden Lake are graced by the iconic mountain sheep with pure white coats. The toughest part of the trip is finding a parking spot at Logan Pass. Best plan is get to Logan Pass before sunrise or simply roll the dice. One plan is drop one couple off, return in 1.5 hours, and second couple takes the hike and pictures.

Have visited a few times. Incredible views at Logan Pass which is about 6,400'. Trails here a little strenuous yet if you take your time, you'll likely find it was worth it. Since the park is open 24/7, we came back at midnight and took some cool night sky pictures. No light pollution at all. Glacier National Park is a splendid awe-inspiring view of nature at it'la finest.

The trail to Grinnell Glacier Viewpoint is a challenging 5.6-mile hike one way or a 3.
Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth the hike. It’s been my best hiking experience yet! The views on the way to the glacier were stunning, and I was lucky enough to spot a mountain goat and a moose along the way
Chanda D — Google review
This was absolutely stunning. It was a little tricky at the beginning. Beautiful trail with stunning wild flowers as soon as you start your hike then incline with switchbacks were pretty rough. We hiked at our own pace and took a few breaks. Then the views were breathtaking all the way up. Then the end was all worth it!
Yvette W — Google review
Highly recommend! The trail is better than the destination in my opinion. Beautiful views the entire way especially when you arrive at the parking area at 5 am and start the hike at 6 am to catch the morning alpine glow. The parking lot was mostly empty at 5 am but filled up quickly. The glacier area is peaceful; however, if you've seen bigger and better glaciers than Grinnell is anticlimactic. The hike is moderate purely for the distance.
Louis M — Google review
A gorgeously scenic 21km trek with an amazing up close view of the glacier.
Shanti S — Google review
I’ve hiked this trail 5 times now. This is a tough hike, especially the last half mile, but worth it for the absolutely stunning views! The first 2 miles around the lake isn’t bad but once you start the Glacier trail it’s nothing but up with very few switchbacks. PROS: You get to be close to a glacier. You get dozens of different angles of a glacial lake as you hike up. You will probably see wild life. Big horn sheep like to hang out here but weren’t there this particular day. CONS: As I mentioned it’s a strenuous hike so pace yourself. This is a very popular hike in GNP so be sure to come early if you want a parking space. There will be a lot of people on the trail. It can be dangerous if you hike it beginning of June/ end of May or earlier so bring some sort of traction devise for snow and ice. Autumn is an absolutely stunning time to go.
Rachael T — Google review
I was a little worried because my wife and I are not particularly athletic and definitely one of the slower people on the trail. Even so, we made it to the top without much issue. Definitely a workout but there was nothing too extreme about the hike that made it impossible for us. The gradual incline was definitely a plus and the quarter mile steep incline we just took frequent breaks. Saw several bighorn sheep. Glacier was amazing. Despite it being so popular there was enough space for all to enjoy. Water is freezing. I dipped my feet in and had to take it out after 15 seconds. Overall took us a little over 3 hrs one way. We spent 2 hrs at the glacier. It is unshaded and does get hot in the afternoon so highly recommend to start early. Also trail gets narrow so much better to go up when there is no foot traffic coming down. There are sections where there are sheer cliff drops but I never felt unsafe. Highly recommend and totally feel accomplished that we were able to do it :)
Huy D — Google review
Visited early Sep. This is one of the most scenic hikes in Glacier NP. Saw a ram and a mountain goat on the trail. The glacier lake is just so amazing and unusual with "bloody pond". The lake is big and at the far end is still snow covered, but could see the crevasses as snow was melting. This is a must hike!!

They say this Glacier will be gone in 8 -13 years so, don't miss your chance. This is one of the most beautiful hikes in Glacier National Park. Hike is challenging and should be planned as all day event. If you like extreme and you there in the summer swimming is and option but for everyone else - dipping you lags in will make you feel like you didn't hike at all and way back will be much easier. There is also lake in the beginning of the hire and swimming there is great way to complete this hike.

Nestled in the breathtaking Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, Apikuni Falls is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. This stunning waterfall boasts a drop of over 100 feet and can be reached via a moderate 1.8-mile roundtrip hike starting at the Poia Lake Trailhead. While parking is limited, arriving early ensures you can enjoy this hidden gem without the crowds.
This is a really glorious waterfall. I think it was my favorite in the park and is may be the tallest. The hike up is a little steep in spots, but it is relatively short. I think this would make a great family hike because there is a big pay off at the end for kids and lots of different places to explore.
LS S — Google review
The relatively short but all-uphill hike to Apikuni falls was no joke and not for those with limitations. However, it was absolutely worth the effort. The falls were beautiful, and my whole family felt a great sense of accomplishment for having made the journey. If you're up to the challenge this should be a must see on any day spent at Many Glacier. Plan a minimum of 2 hours to hike up, enjoy the falls, and hike back down.
Zac C — Google review
Nice falls less than a mile from the trailhead. You do need to climb a good bit, but nice views of the falls reward the effort. Due to a thunderstorm moving in, I did not make it to the base of the falls.
Mark T — Google review
Super nice hike of 1 mile (1.8km) with 600 feet (200m) of elevation gain. Very doable, offering good view on the falls as well as on the Wynn mountain. Don’t hesitate to push a little bit until the end!

These are some gorgeous falls, and you can even hike right up to them! Very hard hike for kids though, there is lots of elevation. The roundtrip hike is only about 1.7 miles, but most of that is up up up, about 500 feet in a half mile. The parking lot is fairly small for this hike holding only a dozen cars, although it isn't the most popular hike I would still try to go early.

Bowman Lake, located in Glacier National Park, is a picturesque destination for kayaking and camping. As the third largest lake in the park, it offers stunning mountain views and a serene atmosphere. Accessible via a six-mile unpaved road from Polebridge, MT, this remote location provides opportunities for hiking and enjoying the natural surroundings. While popular among recreational visitors and wedding photographers, there are still plenty of spots to find seclusion along the shoreline.
Beautiful. I took a kayak out for a couple of hours. It was beautiful. And, we saw a couple of eagles!

This lake is amazing but is flooded with people. It is tough to find parking and the campground is filled with people kayaking, Professional Photographers, People who are just on vacation like us. Crypt Lake Trail is a thrilling and diverse hike in Waterton Lakes National Park, accessible by ferry. The 10-mile trail boasts a 2,297 ft. elevation gain and offers an array of natural wonders, including four stunning waterfalls and unique features like ladders, tunnels, and chains to navigate a tall cliff. This adventure-filled trek is not for the faint-hearted but promises rewarding views of the town site and valley below.
Spectacular hike up to crypt lake. I’m not a regular hiker and found this great. Little out of breath at times but the views more than made up for it. Even the boat ride over to the start was marvellous. The tunnel made it feel like it was a harder hike than it was. Remarkable views from start to finish. We did it in early June. Wonderful experience.
Jamie B — Google review
Hiked the Crypt Lake Trail on August 25, 2025. We pre-purchased tickets for the 8:30 ferry a couple days before and boarded around 8:20. The ferry took 15 minutes to get to the trailhead. Everyone starts the trail at once but then people naturally spread out as everyone finds their pace. The first section of trail was through lush forest, gaining gradual elevation along a narrow trail. It then continues on long switchbacks through forest and starts to open up to nice views of the mountains and Upper Waterton Lake. At the junction with Hell Roaring Canyon, stay to the left (our boat captain said this section is much steeper and is not necessarily worth the effort - if you have time, you can hike this section on the way down). The trail continues through a mix of forest and rocky sections. You start to get stunning views of the mountains and valleys as you climb higher and they only get more dramatic as the hike goes on. The trail becomes rocky and exposed as you get higher than the tree line. You then reach a viewpoint of a tall waterfall in the distance which was gorgeous. The trail continues to gain elevation along rocky switchbacks and then follows along the narrow ledge leading to the cave and tunnel. This was the most epic part of the hike. After reaching the end of the ledge, you climb a ladder and then crouch and crawl through the dark, narrow tunnel. After emerging on the other side, there is a sketchy section with uneven rock and chains fixed to the rock wall to hold on to. From there, it’s not too much longer to the lake and there is no more elevation gain. The lake was not the most beautiful mountain lake I’ve seen but it was pretty. We spent half an hour soaking our tired feet in the cold refreshing water and enjoying a much needed snack and rest. There is a loop around the lake but we didn’t do that one. The hike back down was mostly downhill and was faster than going up. The chain section was sketchy coming down so we went slow there. It was a very hot and sunny afternoon which was draining and the shaded sections were always welcome. The last few kilometres were completely shaded through the dense forest which was an amazing way to finish off the hike. My partner and I took 4 hours going up to the lake and 3 hours hiking down. We got back to the boat dock at 4:30 and waited for an hour for the 5:30 boat. There is also a boat at 3:30 if you’re a faster hiker. It was nice to rest on the logs at the trailhead and soak my feet in the lake again. There is an outhouse at the trailhead and another one along the trail before the tunnel. There is no cell service on this hike but the trail is easy to follow. My FitBit tracked 19 km total and 858 m elevation gain. This hike made for a long day with lots of hard work on the legs but it felt amazing to finish! The views along the trail are spectacular and the tunnel/ladder/chains is a very epic feature. We didn’t see any wildlife but heard from someone on our boat who saw a bear near the outhouse along the trail. Our boat captain said that bear sightings occur almost daily, so come prepared with bear spray. Would recommend this trail - very rewarding!

A must do when visiting Waterton. You will not regret doing this hike. Beautiful views, well maintained trails and lots of interesting sections of trail. Make sure you do have the fitness level for a 17+ KM hike. Also depending on season pack for mountain weather. We've had +20 degrees along the beginning of the trail, with sections of deep snow near the top and cool weather. Bring lots of water. Now there is one negative to this trail. The amount of people can be staggering. We've been stuck in literal "traffic jams" on the cliff scramble section. Where people are stuck going in either direction. This can be an absolute pain and hopefully the people will all be working together to keep things moving. If hiking with a dog, be sure you are prepared for the ladder. We thought we were but found out we were not. Luckily, with the help of some awesome hikers we were able to raise and lower the dog safely. As a final note.. BE CAREFUL on the wire rope section of the climb. We hit two burrs on the line and actually ripped our hands open to the point of running blood. After seeing it happen to a few people you realize it's an actual health hazard. If anyone has any transferable blood diseases, that is a dangerous location.

Great trail to hike. Very well maintained even early in the season. If I hiked it again I would not wear mountain boots. Maybe just a pair of ankle high hiking boots or even a psir of runners. I would suggest going earlier in the hiking season to avoid crowds.

Beautiful hike, it's not technical, nor challenging. If you hike or exercise regularly you should find this hike a walk in the park. Great day, however not amazing enough to do again or spend the $30.00 for the ferry.
Andrea M — Google review
Worth every ounce of effort! This is by far one of the most mentally and physically challenging hikes I've ever done but honestly the pay off was insane to spend the day at this majestic lake!

We did this hike with our dog. It is a beautiful, must-do hike. Some parts are very challenging - don't look down! For dog owners: I don't know if I would do this with a dog over 60 lbs because we did lift/boost her on a few parts. The ladder is the most difficult part, we had extra leads to help lower her down while letting her place her feet on the rocks. We also had a lead clipped to the cable for her Incase she fell, would highly recommend for peace of mind. Don't do this hike with your dog if you can't trust your dog.

The area offers a variety of activities such as fishing, boating, and hiking trails with stunning mountain views. Visitors can enjoy picnics on the pristine shores, scuba diving, or renting a boat for a closer experience of the clear waters.
Went here while on vacation in Waterton. Definitely worth the drive. You have to drive all the way up the road to get there. The view of the lake is amazing. You can do boating up there. There are a lot of animals (deer, mountain sheep, and bears) and you may see some along the road. Just be aware when driving up here.

Beautiful lake. Lots of nice trails. You can rent boats. Came here on vacation in Waterton and greatly enjoyed it. Not very difficult trails, right by the lake, and lots of boats for renting (paddleboats, canoes, etc). Nice place to visit for an hour or two if you enjoy lakes and nature.

Cameron Lake was beautiful in the early morning when the water was calm and you could see the amazing mountain reflections! It can get busy in the late morning and afternoon, which detracts from the natural beauty here. You can rent kayaks/boats from the shoreline to explore the lake and there is a small store with souvenir items, drinks, etc. I came here to start the Carthew-Alderson Trail via the hiker shuttle through Tamarack on August 29, 2025. We arrived around 8:30 am and there was nobody else at the lake. This was the best time to see the beauty here!

The lake and its surroundings are truly breathtaking. The parking lot is spacious and pleasantly uncrowded, which I really appreciate.

This is a beautiful mountain lake, that gets bonus points for the great drive from Waterton town along which you are highly likely to see some big horn sheep. Boating options are available for rent (pinch pricy, but that is to be expected). Note that it is very often very windy.

Cameron Falls is a picturesque waterfall located in Waterton, known for occasionally turning pink after heavy rain. It is easily accessible and doesn't require much walking, making it suitable for those with limited mobility or time constraints. The area is popular for fishing and offers a viewing area with interesting information panels explaining the topography and history of the oldest rock found in the entire Rockies.
Cameron Falls is an awesome stop! Just a short walk from the parking lot and you're face to face with a powerful, beautiful waterfall. The sound of the rushing water is wild — you can feel it in your chest. Great spot to stretch your legs, snap some photos, and take in the view. If you're lucky, you might even catch the water turning pink after a storm. Nature showing off!

This is an extremely accessible waterfall in Waterton National Park. You can walk here or even push a wheelchair here from town in ten minutes or less. Free parking is available on the street a few minutes away, especially near the city park. There's a large viewing platform in front of the fall and above it, though there are a fair number of steps to reach the top. Expect to spend maybe 15-30 minutes here because it gets crowded and doesn't offer that much more than a nice view.
Michael B — Google review
You definitely don’t want to miss Cameron Falls when visiting Waterton National Park. While it’s not a very large waterfall, it’s truly beautiful and worth experiencing. Plus, it’s easy to find, making it a convenient stop during your visit.
Daman M — Google review
It's a beautiful fall in the town with a short hiking trail on the side to have a closer look from top. You can do fishing as well but not a really large area to explore. Also, parking available right in front, for wheelchair accessibles as well. It's has beautiful scenic view if you go other way around, the one from the lake side passing through campaign areas towards Bertha hiking area. It's just lovely town to visit nd to spend time away from city life. Also, they have ferries to take you around US border to visit 30 min.

Red Rock Canyon, located in Water National Park, offers a picturesque landscape with red and green bedrock, clear mountain streams, and alpine meadows. The 16-kilometer Red Rock Parkway provides roadside valley views and access to the Canyon Loop, a 0.7 km walk offering fantastic vistas and leading to the scenic Blakiston Falls hike. This destination is ideal for beginners looking for a sunny hike or for those who prefer a leisurely drive through the canyon.
“Beautiful, Serene, and Scenic, but Crowded at Times” Red Rock Canyon in Waterton Lakes National Park is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates stunning landscapes. The vibrant red rock formations set against the lush greenery and clear blue water create a picture-perfect scene. The short walk around the canyon is easy and suitable for all ages, making it a great option for families or those looking for a relaxing stroll. You can also dip your feet into the cool water, which is refreshing after exploring the park. One of the best parts about Red Rock Canyon is how accessible it is. It’s just a short drive from Waterton townsite, and the road leading there offers some great views as well. The canyon itself is not very large, but it packs a lot of beauty into a small area. It’s a perfect spot to take a break, have a picnic, or just admire the natural scenery. However, the reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get quite crowded, especially during peak season. This can make it difficult to find a peaceful moment or get a good photo without other people in the background. The parking area also fills up quickly, so it’s best to arrive early or visit later in the day. Overall, Red Rock Canyon is a gem within Waterton, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Just plan your visit wisely to avoid the crowds, and you’ll have a fantastic experience!”
Gautam S — Google review
Beautiful little canyon, amazing colors astounding location and views. Would recommend walking to the furthest point on the trail where it loops back for best view. The canyon is much deeper there so you can see more beautiful rocks but also there is a lot less people that want to walk up that hill! Very busy parking lot so be prepared you may have to park down the road at the further lot. Its a very busy location due to its accessibility. If you have walking assistance devices, strollers or wheel chairs you can definitely explore a lot of the views with its paved pathway.
Kat B — Google review
We take the drive up to Red Rock Canyon and it offers exquisite views featuring red and green bedrock, alpine vegetation, and protruding peaks. The red rock formations provide a stunning backdrop. It is a great scenic walk for hikers and for those who would like an adventure. With its excellent views of the Rocky Mountains, miles of hiking trails, Red Rocks Park is a big draw for those who love outdoor activities.

Was really really busy but to be expected on a weekend during the summer! Parking was a bit gnarly due to that but the attendants were really friendly, kind and patient. Bathrooms could really use a bit more attention (in comparison to other Provincial and National Parks) Great path up to Goat Lake. The regrowth is absolutely wonderful and lush. A must see if you're in Waterton!
KIM O — Google review
A beautiful spot within Waterton Lakes National Park. The rocks are a beautiful red color and the water is crystal clear. There are paths that lead you through the mountains and there are also several waterfalls nearby. The paths range from a short walk to an intense hike so make sure to pay attention to the path markers.
Amanda — Google review
The drive to get here was beautiful. Lots of parking and essential utilities. You can walk the paved path around the canyon, about 15 minutes. Hike down in the canyon along the stream. Then hike over to the falls, about 15 minutes from the lot. Got there about 9am and it was nice and quiet, but by 10:30 it was quite busy.
Chad _ — Google review
It was amazingly beautiful.. although it get crowded in summer month, if you want to take a good photos of the whole red rocks, should be there early summer before July/Aug which is the peak summer. Worth of the long driving hours..
Elmer F — Google review
Amazing Canyon with red rocks truly unique. There are long and short trails from the parking spot. Speaking of parking lots there are two upper is small and lower is big but a bit of walk so good luck finding one on upper lot on a busy day few washrooms. Views of mountain and canyon is just breath taking. I have reviewed other spots in Waterton like prince of whales hotel etc check out my reviews and list of to do things in Waterton Park. Located just 25 km north of Caraway, Alberta, the Remington Carriage Museum is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts. The museum boasts an impressive collection of over 270 carriages that offer a comprehensive exploration of transportation history. Visitors highly recommend taking a guided tour led by knowledgeable and friendly staff to gain insights into the highlights and background of the exhibits.
A thoroughly interesting museum that is worth a visit. They have an enormous collection of carriages, the oldest of which seems to be from 1852 France. Made by a variety of companies across Canada and the world, with the special importance on Canadian made, particularly by the McLachlin company, Which became General Motors Canada. There’s a lot to read, but just a visual walk-through is amazing as well. The staff were quite friendly and engaging, particularly the carriage driver and guide. Pay for the carriage ride. It’s a fun little jaunt around the property, and quite informative.

A fantastic museum with an impressive collection of horse-drawn carriages and beautifully curated exhibits. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the live demonstrations add a special touch. Great for families and history lovers alike!

This museum was a revelation Learned so much history of the province I’m Born and raised and live in. Sounds like it might be boring but it’s actually quite interesting and has amazing carriages. Who knew they were so high?

Must visit place in southern Alberta. Shows the rich history of carriages. Very well maintained!
Dilraj S — Google review
We visited the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston, AB during Seniors Week, when admission for seniors like us was free. we enjoyed the collection of carriages, wagons, and sleighs and the exhibits so much that we made a donation to the museum as we were leaving. The collection and the information about the collection was excellent. We also talked with one of the restorers in the restoration shop. They explained what kind of work went into preparing carriages, wagons, and sleighs for display and how long some of the work takes to do. Several school classes on field trips were also enjoying the museum while we there. The museum has the largest collection of carriages, wagons, and sleighs in the world. If you're ever in southern Alberta I highly recommend that you visit the museum and enjoy it's collection, displays, and exhibits. The Horse University exhibit was a hit with the students during their field trip.

This place is rich with history, amazing collection of carriages and very well restored. Absolutely the best place to visit for a family, showcases Alberta and Canadian history in a nice manner.
Francine Q — Google review
Really interesting. Lot of fun. If you like working with metal or wood they have a workshop where they restore carriages. For the kids, they have fun interactive games that they can play (ask at the front counter). You can also take a ride on a horse drawn buggy. The staff is very friendly.
Scott R — Google review
This is such a gem of a museum! There are so many restored carriages, it’s unbelievable! I liked the informational displays telling the story of a particular carriage and the times it’s been used, so much history learned on a single museum visit! Me and my kids loved it 😍 The carriage ride was fun as well. If you are visiting Waterton National Park, I highly recommend making a drive to Remington Carriage Museum, it’s just about 40 minutes away but so-so worth it! I think even driving from Calgary to this museum is totally worth it.

They often stay open after the show and have great flavors of ice cream. They also have an impressive variety of soda-pop that include unique flavors such as ranch dressing and pickle juice. A must visit

The Sweet Shop is a lot smaller than it appeared to be on TripAdvisor. Nonetheless, it has lots of nostalgic candies. There are quite a few different candies from those at the Cracker Barrel restaurants, so you can switch up your variety. They have a small selection of gummy candies, Harry Potter candies, 70s through 90s candies, and the reason I gave it 4 stars? They have the absolute best ice cream I have had in ages and ages. And the scoops are enormous!!! Plus that, the staff is super friendly. Apparently they have a home decor section, but I missed that, as we didn't get there until after 6.

Promised to obey my husband in 2000. Stayed in an abusive marriage for 15 years because of that promise. Had no idea I would have to make that promise as well as promise all that I have to the church (not god) before I was in a high pressure situation in front of t of all my family and friends right before my wedding. Don’t recommend.

Always a great experience. I look forward to going again. Definitely an "older" temple. The woodwork and murals are amazing. Be prepared to ask for directions to get around in the temple. I could see a remodel coming someday, I just hope they keep a lot of the original woodwork and murals.

Beauvais Lake Provincial Park is a picturesque destination in southwestern Alberta, offering a range of outdoor activities. The park features ample opportunities for camping, fishing, and kayaking on the serene lake. Visitors can explore the Amerada Trail around the lake, paddle to Raspberry Island, or enjoy sandy beaches. The area is also home to diverse wildlife including loons, geese, ducks, and majestic eagles.
Beauvais Lake quickly became one of my favourite Provincial Parks. With all the lush flora and fauna there are so many things to see and explore. You'll find accessible friendly trails along the lake and around the campground. If you are up for a challenge there are 3 great peaks to explore; Baldy, Albert and Piney, Piney point is my personal and great for a sunset! The campground is fantastic! The sites are spacious with tons of trees around. There are walk-in tenting sites on the south end of the lake which is a nice quiet option to enjoy the park. The staff and campground host: Eleanor and Lenard are welcoming and friendly. I also highly recommend checking out the interpretive programs, they are always a hoot!
Kim S — Google review
A wonderful camping experience. We had never camped there, but we will definitely be back! The cross-country ski trials double as hiking trails in the summer. We hiked to the top of Mount Baldy for some gorgeous vies of the area. The lake would be great for kayaking or small boats. Just a note, bring your own potable water. There are pit toilets. A jewel to discover!
Vicki K — Google review
It is a nice place for camping and picnics.  Walked around to enjoy a scenic view of Lake, it is fun to see a muskrat chewing stripped bark in the water.  A little bit quiet of the lake in winter, but you will enjoy nature sounds, watch for birds, waterfowl, and wildlife. There are trails for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and skiing as well.
Allan N — Google review
This park is not far from the main roads and there is a good size town for supplies not too far away. We did miss the turn off to the campground when we entered the park but were able to easily turn around and go back. There is a very nice adventure playground with benches and picnic tables nearby located in the campground. Campsites are roomy and offer some privacy. There is a sign showing all the trails with distances but there are also bear and cougar warnings. There are FCFS sites as wall as reservation sites. There was no indication if the sites marked R for reservable were available or not. There was a park host with on duty when we camped here. There is an osprey nest on top of an old dead tree in the boat launch parking. We watched them fishing in the lake. The campground is not on the lake and there is not beach area. The park is on level ground and the sites are level.
Michelle N — Google review
We had a great trip here. Went on a number of hikes up the trails around the campground with our old dogs (Bear Bait) and actually saw a black bear literally no more than 40 feet into on of the trails right at the campground. Other than being on high alert, this was an amazing campground. Lots of bugs.
April C — Google review
Beautiful place with lovely treed campground with washrooms. They have a place to launch your kayak off the dock which is great! There are also life jackets available to borrow, should one forget theirs. The lake is also stocked for fishing. Good hiking trails too.
Bonnie W — Google review
Nice campground with plenty of first come first served & reservable sites. Looked like great fishing, the lake is beautiful and calm. Had a couple dips to cool down (was 36c in the shade) which was nice - beware there are leaches! Best spot to go in is straight across from the boat launch as the crow flies. Outhouses are basic and no showers. People were having fires and not being super quiet - which I appreciate. Plenty of places patrol the noise a little too hard.
Jon B — Google review
This is an awesome place where you can spend good time with your friends and families. There is a beautiful lake that surrounds the park area, and you can enjoy doing BBQ right by the river side. There is also public washrooms and seating area which I guess for cold weather. You will also see some warnings for the bears as there is pretty dense forest nearby. The river water looks little dark which has a different appeal. I would definitely recommend to visit this place if you’re in Pincher Creek city.

Definitely a great and underrated place! We went for the fall market festival and it was such a great time! Heritage acres farm is a very family oriented place and really affordable- which can be hard to find these days. They had all sorts of activities for kids and crafts like old fashion kite making. On top of all that, the staff were so friendly and encouraging our kids to explore and be curious. Especially in letting us know all the cars and tractors were free to be climbed onto and sat in. A definite highlight! We had an amazing day here and will absolutely be visiting again. Could not recommend them enough!
