Love this place! My 3 kids have a blast. The staff is so helpful, especially Zylene! We are on our 3rd month of membership and look forward to coming each time! The parent view spot on the second floor is my favorite, the staff is always watching too. Best jump park ever! 😍 We also did a birthday here and it went smoothly!

This place is fun for kids with lots of activities to enjoy. However, the service and staff don’t quite meet expectations. With better training and more attentive staff, this place could provide a better experience for families.
Iam — Google review
Our son's birthday party was a success and it was thanks to Zay! He did a phenomenal job along with the other attendants that helped us.
Julie C — Google review
Several attractions are made for kids 48" tall and over, I was there for a 6 year old birthday.. and unfortunately most kids were just a little too short for most attractions. ( for the amount of Staff that was on duty, you shouldn't need to go find someone to do an attraction) For older kids, absolute blast.
Lacey E — Google review
Edit: Sam, the general manager, has reached out to me. He has gone above and beyond to help rectify my situation and completely taken care of us. I will be taking my kids back in the soon. Thank you Sam and Urban Air for making things right! I had a party for my 11 year old on Saturday 3/15 at 5:30pm. This was our very first experience ever with urban air. I will NEVER return. I purchased the ultimate party bundle. All of the attractions were NOT available, they didn’t even open the attraction over the party tables until we were leaving at 7:30pm. What made this experience the worst though was there was no bathroom facilities available. My entire party had to leave at different times to go use the restroom at Sprouts. I spoke with the party coordinator and expressed that the should have discounted the cost due to lack of bathrooms. I bought 7 pizzas and 4 pitchers of drinks as well as the water that was part of the party package, of coupe would need a restroom. The party coordinator informed me that they do not have a corporate phone number because they are a franchise, and he understood why I was upset but there was no one there authorized to do do anything about it. He said he would give the general manager my contact info and ask him to reach out to out. It is now Tuesday and I have heard nothing. $500 for a kids party with no bathrooms and the staff decided to pick and choose what attractions to have open, regardless of what was contracted.
Krystle R — Google review
Let me preface by saying our son loves coming here. The 1 star is for the awful and inflexible service we have just received from them about scheduling and refunds. Though we agree that there should be a $55 cancellation fee if we change our plans --- we obviously just made a quick blunder by completing the online order for a birthday party and 2 minutes later had to cancel because we realized a conflict in our schedule. We called to let them know that it was a mistake on our part and to please give us some consideration to not charge us the $55 fee (since it was just 2 minutes ago that we made the reservation). Their response was a firm NO. I'm a little disappointed that they could not be flexible with us since we go there all the time but I guess, we won't ever be doing business with them again.
Tucker — Google review
This is not review for the Urban air park in coppell, but for Urban Air Customer care department which support to help Birthday Party is very bad and they are not supportive i could give zero rating if google allows. The lady i spoke was so rude and did not put any effort in understanding my concern and disconnected the call without any resolution.
Nagendra J — Google review
We had really fun here. It was amazing one of the workers Jeni was really helpful and sweet. I would definitely recommend coming here. It was lots of fun. The attractions look amazing and the jump twist and flip attraction was really good.

Water & Amusement Parks
Amusement park
Hawaiian Falls Mansfield, located in The Colony and Garland, Texas, features slides, rides, a wave pool and lazy river. It is set to reopen on June 4th in The Colony and June 5th in Garland. This water park is themed after the tropical paradise of Hawaii and is family-friendly. Limited capacity ensures visitor safety while staying in line with Governor Abbott's recommendation of 25%.
First time to this Hawaiian falls, and we all had a blast , bought season passes w buddy pass . So we all gained from the experience with savings and tons of fun for my 6, 4 and 1 year old. Recommended if your on a friendly budget. And staff at kids area did the best job 👏 🙌
Melanie N — Google review
I’ve been a loyal guest at Hawaiian Falls for years and have never had issues—until now. During our recent visit, the park was in poor condition: trash everywhere, filthy restrooms, and an overall unsanitary environment. It was so bad we left within two hours. When I raised my concerns, my family and I felt singled out and disrespected. Although management initially responded, I was only offered a season pass transfer or VIP experience—no refund, despite the seriousness of the situation. I’m leaving this review not out of spite, but in hopes that Hawaiian Falls will take feedback seriously and improve conditions.
Madonna E — Google review
The waterpark itself is fun, but most of the staff is very young, customer service here lacks, and you can tell. For example, they sell Pretzels With Cheese... They make you get the Cheese from the Sharkey's Bar, which is a separate line and is normally very long. Then, after you get the Cheese from Sharkey's, you have to go back and stand in line again at Surfside Snack Shack to buy the Pretzel. Why not just pre fill a bunch of cheese containers and keep them in the small warmer with the Churros AT THE SURFSIDE SNACK SHACK. NO ONE WANTS TO GO STAND IN A SEPARATE LINE WHILE THE ICE IN THE DRINKS MELT. Do better Hawaiian Falls.
Adam G — Google review
We brought our daughter here and was pleasantly surprised by how much bigger it was than we thought it would be. I was expecting a tiny little local "neighborhood" feel but this place is actually pretty big. It's like a smaller version of hurricane harbor. My daughter had a lot of fun and we did as well. The blue and yellow big slide was a lot of fun. My only disappointment was the wave pool. We sat in it for about 25 minutes because when the "waves" would start, we assumed those weren't the actual waves considering they were barely noticeable. I mean, literally you can hardly tell there's waves coming, I kept thinking those waves just meant the machines were starting up and the bigger ones were coming soon, but it never happened. I guess with it being a more smaller-kid focused park, it's understandable though.
Morgasmo — Google review
This place is Amazing It has so many big and small waterslides the lazy River Is so Relaxing and this is the best Theme park I have ever been to and my kid loved it And you can take videos Id you have a Water proof phone cover but one problem Because the Bathrooms are dirty But 5 Stars
Hikmat K — Google review
Great way to spend quality time with your kids... Really great play areas for little kids. I have never had to wait to get in. We like to go early and the wait for the big slides is minimal. The only downside is that if you want to buy lunch there, it always takes forever.
Mary V — Google review
Took incredibly long to ride any rides. Learned later that you could speed up ride time slightly by renting a tube. There are not enough tubes on any of the rides. One ride near wave pool have a deflated tube. I guess if i were to return, I would rent a tube to at least skip the wait on the free tube.
LaShae F — Google review
Had a blast! Not crowded so we barely waited for any of the slides, had fresh food, friendly staff and it was very clean :)

The baseball stadium Choctaw Stadium is home to the Texas Rangers. It has a granite and brick facade, seating 48,000+ fans. The stadium has hosted two World Series Championships and the Major League Baseball All-Star game in 1995.
We had a great time at the Classic Christmas at Choctaw stadium. The weather was perfect, it was not too crowded, we shopped at the market, took lots of photos and my husband and granddaughter loved the giant snow slide. 🤗🎀🎄🦌

First time here was amazing. Me and my son had a great time. The UFL game was a awesome experience. The Arlington Renegades had a great game even though they lost. I can't wait to come back for more fun and a great time.
KING S — Google review
They have chair and bleachers. ❤️❤️❤️ which is very important if you’re older person and want to watch all of the games
Dena B — Google review
I took my son to a UFL Football game for part of his birthday present. Before the game started we walked through Texas Live. The stadium is easy to get to, however, the Rangers had a game later that day. Traffic increased after the UFL game was over.
Jay P — Google review
The most underrated stadium in Arlington, Texas. I recommend that you should come and watch a soccer game or a football game with your family. It is wonderful and the staff are great.
Aaron M — Google review
First Rangers game. Beautiful facility. Staff is amazing. Very clean and organized. Can’t wait to go back!
Amanda A — Google review
Cool that high schools can use this once great stadium. Wish it was still in good condition, it’s obviously not being taken care of at the same level.
W C — Google review
We attended a high school playoff game here. It was a great experience. The Budewiser banner and illuminated sign were a little concerning, given UIL rules regarding allowing alcohol to be advertizrd to minors. I'm sure it isn't intentional, but with the number of high school games played here, this signage really should be taken down and or covered or simply turned off.

Hurricane Harbor Arlington

Water & Amusement Parks
Amusement park
Hurricane Harbor Arlington stands as North Texas' largest water park, sprawling over an impressive 50 acres filled with thrilling rides and refreshing attractions. This aquatic paradise boasts a staggering one-million-gallon wave pool and features unique areas like Hook's Lagoon, which offers three lagoons, a pirate ship, and 150 interactive elements spread across twelve levels—ensuring that staying dry is nearly impossible!
Pretty fun park and good fries. The family rides on the left of the park are the best. Arrive when it opens for short lines. Floors are a little hot and I don't recommend the side salad.
MIMI B — Google review
Visited for my first time on a Friday. Got the Silver Season Pass online that morning (it was the same price as a single-day ticket with parking). WHAT I LIKED: Rolled up about 40 minutes after the park opened. There was no wait to enter the lot or the park itself. Slides were fun and wait times weren't bad (with the exception of Sea Wolf). Lazy river was relaxing, wave pool was fun, and the water temperatures weren't too cold. They honor the All Season Drink Bottle from the Six Flags park. There are lots of lockers which are super conveniently located and easy to access throughout the day. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE Not near enough shaded chairs / loungers!!! There's lot of shaded picnic tables. The very small amount of shaded seats get snagged by the first people in the park. They are located to the left of the wave pool (chairs) and by Suntan Lagoon (lounge chairs). You can't bring your own tubes for the lazy river but can rent theirs. Not tubes allowed in the wave pool. Some of the best slides require 2 riders. There could be better signage leading to the rides, entrances to the lazy river (some spots are exit only) and restrooms. NOTE: Some slides require you to step on a scale just before placing your tube to be launched.
Becca M — Google review
The park is great for kids of all ages with lots of water areas for playing and swimming. They're are lots of waterslides to choose from, even a mini version of two fun ones for the littles! The only complaint we had was the all day dining tickets had all kinds of issues! It was frustrating, but we still had fun at the park.
Michele M — Google review
Had a blast! Kids loved it since we got there early to get on some of the best slides without a long wait. Also it helps with some shaded seating areas. Went on almost all the slides, the kids splash pad area is really fun even for the bigger kids. Food and drinks are a bit pricey as you would expect but the quality is above average, no complaints. Can't wait to go back!
Ideen R — Google review
We came to Hurricane Harbor on a Wednesday and the lines were short for most slides and there was plenty of parking. The staff members we met were respectful and professional. Hurricane Harbor is a fun place but shade is a premium. We rented a locker, the bathrooms are large and clean. With benches for changing.
James K — Google review
I have been having fun at this water park for 30 years! We love cooling off with so much to do in one place. The slides are awesome with lots of levels of wild for all ages. Loads of food, treats, shade, lounge chairs, pools, and gear. A must go for summertime joy!
Katy L — Google review
Had a great time here! Ample parking but had to walk a bit from car to park entrance. It would help if there were location identifiers in the parking lot to help remember where cars are parked. Numbered rows or even an animal or shape for zones. Liked all the places for shoes at bottom of rides but they weren't at all the rides.
Melissa M — Google review
Six flag water park, hurricane Harbor. It's the biggest water park in Dallas fort Worth, located in Arlington. It's just on the other side of Six Flags. It has a wave pool, lazy river, a new 2025 kids area, o lot of baby slides to every extreme ones. Lines are long as normal six flag, be patient. The pop corn bucket and soda bottle from six flags can be used here. They also have paid lockers. It's a lot of sun, make sure to bring sunscreen.

AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys football team, is not only a renowned sports venue but also a hub for big-name concerts, events, and tours. Recently, it hosted Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo event in partnership with PBR World Finals Championship, infusing bull riding with music and entertainment to create an electrifying atmosphere.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is an absolute masterpiece — home to the Dallas Cowboys and host to some of the biggest concerts, sports events, and shows in the world. The architecture is stunning, the atmosphere electric, and the massive retractable roof makes every event unforgettable. From the moment you walk in, everything feels grand — the giant video screens, comfortable seating, and great sound quality. The staff are professional, and the stadium is well maintained with plenty of food and drink options. Parking is well organized, and it’s conveniently located near restaurants, shops, and major stores like Walmart on Randol Mill Road. Whether you’re here for a game, concert, or tour — AT&T Stadium is a must-visit landmark in Texas! 🏈🎶
DYAN K — Google review
I had an amazing experience visiting AT&T Stadium for the Dallas Cowboys VIP tour. Our guide, Todd, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and made the tour truly enjoyable. It was incredible getting behind-the-scenes access and seeing the different parts of the stadium up close. From the locker rooms to the field and all the unique details in between, the tour gave me a whole new appreciation for the stadium. Highly recommend this tour if you want to really experience the home of the Cowboys!
Venita N — Google review
We had a really fun time at the game. We had club member seats and did a pretty game Stadium tour which was really interesting. The staff was nice and professional. However a lot of people can't give you directions. They want you to use the map on the app, which is pretty sad. The brisket macaroni and cheese was so good! Highly recommend that. The club member area was really nice, quite, and not very crowded so that was pleasant. I was in a wheelchair, we were supposed to get a handicap chair, and the rep we worked with to get the tickets/tour at the stadium got 4 seats together in a non wheelchair available row. But the attendant seating us was really great and showed us how we can exchange our tickets for a wheelchair seat. Luckily they ended up being next to each other, just separated by the row of stairs so we were all still together. The elevators get really crowded when leaving so if you have a chance get on it no matter which direction it's going. It will eventually go your direction but it's better to get on. Directions around were clear, and people were nice. Overall a pretty fun experience.
Lauren B — Google review
I attended a Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football game in early November, and although the Cowboys didn’t win, the entire experience was absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, AT&T Stadium lived up to its reputation as one of the most impressive sports venues in the country. I arrived early to soak in the pregame atmosphere at the Miller Lite House, located right outside the stadium gates. The setup was incredible — an open area with a full-size replica Cowboys field, surrounded by bars, food vendors, and fans everywhere. There were plenty of options for drinks, whether you wanted a cold beer, a mixed drink, or something nonalcoholic. Food choices were plentiful and looked great. The Cowboys mascot was out on the field taking photos and interacting with fans, and the live band performing filled the space with music that gave the area the energy of a concert. The crowd was lively, excited, and full of team spirit. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders even performed a pre-game show that had everyone cheering before kickoff. The whole scene was electric and made the buildup to the game just as fun as the game itself. Once I headed inside, I was lucky enough to have club-level seats, which provided an upscale and comfortable experience. The club area had a sleek, high-end look with stylish decor and an open layout. There were several bars and food stations, including a BBQ spot that felt more like a restaurant than a concession stand. You could actually watch the chefs preparing your food right in front of you, which was a nice touch. The seats themselves were padded, spacious, and offered a great view of the field. But it’s almost impossible not to be mesmerized by the massive HD video board hanging above the field — it’s truly something you have to see in person to appreciate. The atmosphere inside the stadium was beyond anything I’ve experienced at a sporting event. Every detail, from the lighting to the sound system, made the game feel larger than life. The fans were passionate and loud but also welcoming to visiting supporters. As a lifelong Cowboys fan from out of state attending my first game at AT&T Stadium, it was an emotional experience seeing the team take the field in person. One of the most memorable parts of the night was the patriotic display throughout the event. Before kickoff, a massive American flag covered the entire field during the national anthem, followed by President George W. Bush conducting the coin toss. During halftime, Medal of Honor recipients were honored, and country music legend Lee Greenwood performed I’m Proud to Be an American live. The level of pride and respect shown for our country was powerful and gave me chills. Even though the final score wasn’t in our favor, the night was everything I hoped it would be and more. AT&T Stadium isn’t just a football venue — it’s an experience that combines entertainment, tradition, and pride in a way few places can. Whether you’re a lifelong Cowboys fan or just a football lover, this is a must-visit stadium that delivers an unforgettable game-day atmosphere.
Nick V — Google review
Im not a cowboys fan but got free club tickets from a friend. The stadium is very nice and modern. The seats were comfortable. I expected food and drinks to be more than expensive but they were reasonable for ball park pricing. I enjoyed the salute to service and seeing the American Flag that covers the entire field. Overall a great experience.
Chris W — Google review
Came in from out of town. Highly recommend the tour before a big game so you can move around the stadium without the crowds. Learned so much about the facilities. Glad I did that. During game day make sure to check your ticket stub to see what entrance to enter from. The only level that circles all the way around is level 400. If your below that you won't be able to circle to the other side of the stadium once inside due to the private suites and vip sections. During game day get their early and enjoy the Miller Life outdoor party.
Jeff D — Google review
Love love love! It's been a dream of mine to see cowboys play in their own field and I made it! We also went to the rally day day before the game and took the tour. So so nice. Lots of information. Lots to see behind the scenes. Our tour guide was ples and Tameka (I think that's her name). Wonderful ladies. Very informative and helpful. I was in a scooter and they made it easy to accommodate me needs. Only issue is there was no food to purchase. Only liquor and maybe water. Upon talking to someone they think it was due to the game being Monday night football. So just be aware that could be a possibility. They did say they usually have food for sale.
Venancia M — Google review
This stadium is the hottest!!! As a Redskins fan, I am in awe with Jerry's world. Not a bad view anywhere in the house. The artwork to the food venues and suites are amazing. A must see!!

Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinépolis Keller

The Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinépolis is a modern cinema with 8 dine-in theaters boasting comfortable plush recliners and attentive waiters. The lobby bar and lounge offer specialty drinks, while food options include gluten-free choices. However, some patrons feel that the cost of food is not commensurate with its quality, describing the chicken sandwich as being akin to a chicken strip and the pizza tasting floury.
A nice theater. The comfortable recliners with the tray table and two cup holders (but one is for a drink and other... for any accessible things for the disabled people (in a photo). The only "main" floor for the wheelchair people. The menu "placemats" with the double price is equal to the hotel's cost.
Brigitte H — Google review
Good service & good food. The servers were really kind. The mango margarita was a little strong and we accidentally got charged for 2 bottomless fountain drinks but we got that fixed along with a coupon for a free popcorn on our next visit. The theater and bathrooms were clean. We had a great experience! Oh by the way. Freakier Friday is such a good movie!!!
Renee R — Google review
went to this theater on a Sunday at 7 PM and had one of the worst concession experiences I’ve ever had. I just wanted a soda and popcorn. The main bar inside didn’t even have a popcorn machine, so I went to my seat and ordered through the QR code. It took 40 minutes for my soda to arrive in a tiny glass packed with ice. I drank it immediately after waiting so long. My popcorn came next, but then I had to wait another 10+ minutes for a refill. Everyone around me was having the same issue, and the entire movie was full of the sound of people crunching ice because no one could get a drink refill. The menu advertises free refills, yet my server took my cup and never brought me another one. Two small sodas and one popcorn ended up costing me nearly $40, and the service completely ruined the movie for me. I won’t be coming back… I’d rather go to a competitor where I can actually enjoy a normal-sized drink and focus on the movie instead of being thirsty the whole time.
Landen K — Google review
One of the cooks walked out of the bathroom stall and straight to the kitchen! She did not wash her hands. I informed the manager and he didn't look surprised. The drinks were nasty. The popcorn was meh, and the service was subpar. There were less than ten other moviegoers in our theater, so I am guessing others found it as bad as we did. We won't be back.👎🏽👎🏽 I don't like to go out, so when I do, I expect so much more than this experience. I was so let down. 😩😩
G B — Google review
Myself and my Partner Hayley love going to movies and just moved to the area. We've tried at least 15+ different theaters accross Ft Worth looking for our new go-to theater and this one stands out as the best. Great service, food, cleanliness, and overall environment. We will continue to return!
Jacob F — Google review
This theater used to be great. Now it’s giving “expired airport food court with a projector” vibes. The menu has been stripped down to boring, basic options… and somehow the prices have gone up? I ordered food and asked for a different condiment than the one listed. The staff accidentally rang up the wrong one (no big deal), but then I had to ask for the correct condiment THREE more times. It took 25 minutes to get it. By then, my overpriced and under-seasoned meal was cold. To top it off, they charged me for the condiment. Incredible. Service? Terrible. Food? Meh at best. Oh, and the cherry on top? There was an actual tear in the middle of the movie screen. I paid theater prices to watch a movie through a rip.
Natalie W — Google review
It was our first time experiencing such establishment. Recliners were comfy, employees were nice, clean place. Good selection of food; a little pricey but understandable. Nice seating area. You can order food while watching the movie and they will bring food to you. We will go again.
Jibanul H — Google review
10/10 first time I went I was fully catered to during busy hours. They have a full menu as well as a bar. Several theatres and the latest movies with a schedule for classics. It's a must-visit environment especially when busy. Quiet hours are just that! Staff are friendly don't be afraid to ask for anything you might need.

With three cultivated vineyards and 52 acres of picturesque land adorned with mature oak trees, Lost Oak Winery stands out as one of the state's premier wineries.
First, the space is beautiful. I particularly loved how customizable everything is. For forever, I knew I wanted to get married at a little white chapel and have the most beautiful, classy reception. During planning, I found that my dream was not going to come to life. My main thing was that I wanted to get married indoors (I knew for a fact it was going to rain on my wedding day). The staff helped bring my vision to life and created the most magical ceremony and reception area. The event center felt spacious and simple, yet elegant. Secondly, and the main reason I would consider getting married here, is the staff! We worked with Kayla to plan the event and she was communicative and inventive in helping us get everything planned perfectly. The staff made sure everything ran so smoothly! There was hardly ever a line at the bar and they flipped our venue for us after the ceremony for no extra cost. They communicated through the evening, helped bus tables, made sure the trash never overflowed, and so. much. more. The staff here is incredible. Third, the venue comes with so much included! When venue searching, it was overwhelming trying to piece together how much things would actually cost. Our package included tables, chairs, and linens, the venue for 14 hours, bartenders, the arches, and each guest was greeted with a glass of wine as they entered the ceremony. It is so worth it to do the unlimited drink package! The cocktails were fun and it was hassle-free. I loved that you could bring in any vendors you wanted, including catering, DJ, and the photographer. Overall, the cost was amazingly reasonable. Fourth and lastly, you'll love your photos. The outdoor areas, including the bridge and vineyards, are beautiful and perfect for portraits. Make sure to ask to take photos in the barrel room! It did rain on my wedding day, in fact, it downpoured. We were still able to have an amazing time and had a fantastic wedding due to the amazing staff and venue. The only thing I would have changed is the getting-ready areas. The women's area was a little cramped with myself, my 4 bridesmaids, 2 makeup artists, and my mom. The men's area is much smaller than the women's, so if you plan on having large wedding parties, I would recommend the men get ready beforehand. Still, I would get married here 100 times over.

This is hidden gem. We came for the tour and stayed for a few glasses of their great wines. Wonderful tour, great property and most importantly, great people. We were lucky enough to sit down with the founder, Gene Estes, for a great conversation. He is a wonderful person. Do yourself a favor and visit this great place, you’ll be happy you did.

I visited Lost Oak Winery with a friend last year and had the most amazing time!! First, we took a tour of their property, and we got to learn SO MUCH about the grapes and vines, and how they maintain their health and growth during the off season. We also learned about which grapes they hand pick and how those are processed, in comparison with which they purchase and then remove debris, etc. We also got to see where they ferment the wine and store the barrels. The room of barrels smelt AMAZING! The tour was absolutely awesome and we had a great time. We never felt talked down to and felt like we could always contribute and ask questions! Additionally, the grounds as a whole are BEAUTIFUL. There is a lake and a bridge, there are outdoor tables, and there is a stream! We found it to be beautiful! We also got to do a wine tasting after the tour, and this was also super fun and fascinating. The selected wines were great choices, as they all tapped into different flavor profiles and styles. I ended up leaving with three bottles because of how much I enjoyed the wines. The sangiovese specifically was one of my all-time favorite sangiovese bottles I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this one! Please check out Lost Oak Winery!! It is very much worth the time!

Celebrated and catered my friends baby shower here and it was an amazing venue. The space was open and no one felt crowded. The staff who were there showcased amazing hospitality towards us and were very helpful. The outdoor space is lovely overlooking the water and the grounds were very nicely up-kept. If you’re looking for a beautiful, not so expensive venue to host your next event I would certainly look into this place! We came from Florida to provide the catering and charcuterie setup and would do my best to partner with this space if I was a local.

We took a tour with Ashley, it was so much fun. We got to see where they grow their grapes, the place they produce the wine and got to look around the beautiful property. Afterwards got to try 4 amazing wines. Ashley was so sweet and helpful. We stayed for live music and more wine. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to go back. 🍷❤️

The Tour was great! The Pairing was wonderful! We enjoyed the wine, the people, and the host Riley. If you can request a tour or pairing with her you won’t be disappointed.

If you do not have sweet wine available to complete a flight, then do not sell the flight to a customer. We were in from out of town, stopped in, and had a server say I was spoiled for preferring a good sweet wine. We will not be returning. Too busy and only 2 staff to try and serve....

We love this winery!!!! Ashley was the best Tour Guide ever as she walked us all through the grounds and buildings!!! She shared with us the history from its beginnings to present day with insights of the founders lives as they became master Texas wine makers!!!! Treat yourself to a great day there and enjoy the delicious wine and food offerings!!!!!

We love the Plaza! This theater is by far, the best around! Amazing talent - both singing and acting are good. Great seating, no matter where you sit. Not a bad seat in the whole theater! My husband and I have been season ticket holders for several years now and we look forward to the variety of shows. It's family friendly, so we even take our kids (ages 10, 8 and 5) with us to some of the shows. Would highly recommend the Plaza Theater.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a serene urban park designed by architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, offering 4.3 acres of waterfalls, pools, and fountains. This tranquil oasis features various water features including the Aerating Pool (Dancing Pool), Quiet Pool, and Active Pool. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along the walkways and terraces or simply relax by the pools.
We were a group of 5 and visited the Fort Worth Water Gardens on a Friday night. We really loved it! It’s a simple place, not too much to explore, but peaceful and calming. You can enjoy the view from the top or walk down the steps to hear the sound of the water. Sometimes, all you need is a quiet and relaxing spot and this place is perfect for that. Street parking is free after 6 PM on weekends, but on regular days, it's paid.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens are a unique spot with some stunning features, like the beautiful trees, striking rock wall “mountains,” and the impressive fountains. The active water features are mesmerizing to watch and really set the gardens apart. That said, it can get pretty crowded, which makes it harder to fully enjoy the space, and there’s a bit of an odor near the first pool when you walk down the steps. The gardens can also feel a little less inviting at night, as there are often homeless individuals around. Overall, it’s worth visiting during the day to appreciate the fountains, design, and natural beauty.
Natasha C — Google review
It is absolutely beautiful but a good portion of the fountain was not working. You can you see my pictures a lot of the white portions are just staining on the rocks not actual water coming down. Kind of ruined the aesthetic. :/ hopefully they get it fixed soon because it is a very relaxing and calming environment. They don't want you climbing on all of the features that don't have water, even though it's impossible to keep kids off, of but the portion with a scary descent with no handrails into the water feature is encouraged. Confused:/
Carin J — Google review
I’ve only been here once before, years ago, and decided to stop by again while showing friends around Fort Worth. It’s still such a cool and peaceful spot right in the middle of the city. A few of the water features weren’t working this time, which was kind of a bummer, but it’s still worth a quick visit. You can walk through and see everything in about 20 minutes. Definitely a unique place to bring out-of-town guests or just take a little break from the city noise.

We had planned to go there many days ago, but couldn't manage our time. Finally, when we did visit, the mesmerizing view of the fantastic water garden was a source of mental peace. Many people were there, enjoying the beauty of the waterfall, the calm garden, and the small artificial mountains. We truly loved our time there.

They were pretty cool. Hadn't been there since I was a kid. It's free to check out except you have to pay for parking. I only put like a dollar on the meter and that was about 20 minutes longer than we needed.

The Fort Worth Zoo is a renowned attraction that is home to over 7,000 animals from more than 650 species around the world. It has been welcoming visitors for over a century and boasts a diverse range of creatures, including elephants, tigers, lemurs, and even a giant panda. The zoo offers interactive activities such as a petting enclosure, rock climbing wall, hurricane simulator, and a miniature train ride.
The Fort Worth Zoo is honestly one of the best zoos I’ve been to in Texas. The layout is super easy to follow, there’s a ton of animals, and the elephant exhibit really stood out, it’s probably the most well-designed one I’ve seen. You can get really close, and they have so much room to roam. There is a lot of walking though, so definitely wear comfy shoes. The good news is, most of the paths are shaded, and there are plenty of spots to sit, grab drinks, or get snacks. They even have misters set up in a few spots, which felt amazing in the heat. I went on a Friday around 10am, and it wasn’t crowded at all. Parking was super easy, just $5, and the lot is huge. Getting in was quick, and everyone working there was really nice. I liked that they mixed indoor and outdoor exhibits, so it felt comfortable the whole time. We didn’t ride the little zoo train, but you could hear it going by, which added a fun touch. Food-wise, there were a few chains and a café, nothing fancy, but decent for grabbing a bite. The only bummer was the ice cream shop was closed when we went. The splash pad was a nice surprise too. It’s small, but perfect for kids to cool off, and there are tables and chairs around it so parents can sit back and relax. Overall, the Fort Worth Zoo is definitely worth a visit. It’s fun, affordable, and there’s something for everyone.

Wow this zoo was amazing and clean, we spent 5 hours walking around looking at all the animals. Very well kept and maintained. Food choices are okay and prices are good. Loved seeing how many animals were out. Price for admission is right on in my opinion. There is plenty of shade and lots of places to sit and relax along the way.
Bradley N — Google review
I have been to zoos across America and this by far is the best I’ve been to. Clean, thoughtfully laid out with misting and covered areas that blend in with the environment for you to view the animals. The food was really good and not expensive. So many options also. Now let’s talk animals. Other zoos I’ve been to have their animals in small spaces and you can tell they’re under distress. The animals here are vibrant and healthy! They are so fun to watch. The babies are adorable 🥰 My son and I had the best time here yesterday. I live 2 hours away but am going to get a membership because it’s just that great of a place. Well done to the owners!

This zoo is worth visiting. It has a lot to offer. The theming throughout the zoo makes it really nice. It is clean with lots of paths and lots of plants. We live in Dallas, but it is really worth the drive all the way across time. We really enjoyed the barn play area as well. It has a nice slide and lots of entertaining activities. One thing to keep in mind is that if you go on the weekend parking is absolutely crazy. We actually parked outside the zoo and walked to the zoo. We will definitely be back soon
Ruth B — Google review
As someone who hasn't been to the zoo or aquarium in decades this was a fun experience to be able to visit. Much better zoo than the Los Angeles zoo I went to when I was a kid not knocking the other one. Great prices for food and entry very shaded almost didn't need sunblock. Bring your kids bring your wife Heck bring your girlfriend just not both at the same time it'll be fun.

The Fort Worth Zoo is one of the best zoos we have been to. We were very impressed with the enclosures and habitats the animals have. The facility is clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Lots of animals to see. We also loved seeing all the improvements they are making to better the environment for the animals. Will definitely be back!
Emily T — Google review
I know there are a lot of people who don't like zoos because they think that animals are mistreated or that they were taken out of their natural habitat. I respect that. But within that perspective of people, the animals look very clean, the area is clean, the water of the elephants is spectacular, and I would like to recommend it. I Love it!!
Jannette V — Google review
Not the biggest zoo I have been to but it is always a great experience. They have a wide variety of animals with great themed exhibits. For the kids you have a petting zoo, train ride, carousal, and can feed the giraffes. Every time I go my kids and I have a ton of fun. The average time is spend there is 3 to 5 hours. I would definitely recommend it the families or people who love seeing animals.

The Fort Worth Stockyards is a historic district in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, and a testament to the state's livestock industry. This 98-acre area was once a major stop for cattle drovers heading up the Chisholm Trail. Today, it celebrates this tradition with attractions like championship rodeos, Longhorn cattle drives, gunslinger shows, and stagecoach rides. Visitors can explore old buildings with Mexican-style architecture and enjoy shopping at handicraft and painting shops.
The Fort Worth Stockyards is one of those rare places where history, culture, and entertainment blend seamlessly, and my visit there was nothing short of memorable. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that celebrates Texas heritage while offering modern comforts and attractions for today’s visitors. One of the first things that caught my eye was the vibrant outdoor setup, especially the colorful ribbons tied across the trees. They gave the area a festive and lively feel, perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Beneath the shade, patio umbrellas marked with restaurant names created a laid-back environment where people could enjoy food, drinks, and good conversation. As I walked deeper into the Stockyards, I couldn’t help but admire the rustic charm of the Second Rodeo Brewing Co.. The huge brewing tanks, red-brick walls, and open-air alleyway with cobblestone flooring gave the place an industrial yet authentic Texas feel. It felt like history had been carefully preserved while still being adapted into a modern hangout spot. The sculptures and artwork scattered throughout the Stockyards added another layer of charm. The life-sized horse statues stood proudly, reminding visitors of the cowboy and ranching roots of Fort Worth. Nearby, the dynamic bull-riding monument captured the energy and bravery of rodeo life, creating one of the most iconic photo opportunities in the entire area.Food and shopping options are abundant, and the signage wall makes it clear that there’s something for everyone. From local favorites like Biscuit Bar and Tannahill’s Tavern to well-known spots like Shake Shack, you can find everything from hearty Texas meals to quick casual bites. Shops like Lucchese Bootmaker and Ariat keep the Western spirit alive, offering authentic cowboy boots and apparel. Whether you’re in the mood for fine dining, casual drinks, or live music, the Stockyards has it all.The heart of the area, Stockyards Station, ties everything together. With its historic architecture, water fountain, and the famous Stockyards Station archway over the street, it feels like stepping back into a different era while still enjoying the liveliness of modern Fort Worth.Overall, the Fort Worth Stockyards is more than just a tourist attraction it’s an experience. It beautifully combines history, entertainment, food, shopping, and art into one destination. Whether you’re a local looking for a weekend outing or a traveler eager to soak in Texan culture, the Stockyards is a must-visit spot that captures the true spirit of Fort Worth.😎😎😎😌

As a destination, it's a very cool place. The buildings and atmosphere are truly amazing. The restaurants are great, and the buildings really look the part. But things are quite touristy; only a few shops have authentic feel to the western goods they sell. Most are of the t-shirts and trinkets variety, although there are boots galore and a fair array of hats for sale, and the tiniest bit of tack. One excellent furniture store. Terrific place to see urban "woo!" girls in shorts and boots falling out of their tops; it's easy to imagine this is a Bachelorette destination. Pricing varies from cheap tourist trash to woah, pardner, I left the Platinum card in my other pants. If like to have seen more local craftsmen but I think that's true for me everywhere I go. $30 to park ensures you don't just drop in for an hour, the place is a commitment best spread over the chunk of a day. Glad we went, hope my son takes his family some day, not sure I'll be back for a couple of decades but sure enjoyed it once.
Jeff W — Google review
As someone who lived in Fort Worth, the Stockyards isn’t my go-to place to hang out, but if you’re visiting or looking for something unique, I cannot recommend it more! First, of course, the history is so interesting and the area is such a good representation of the Western/Texan style while being modernized. It is largely a shopping center with bars and restaurants. If you’re visiting Fort Worth, DEFINITELY take some hours to explore! There’s some good food, Texan-owned businesses, fun stores to check out, unique bars, and more! Definitely spend some time on the street to check out the longhorns and enjoy the people watching! Definitely stop into Billybob’s! Enjoy!

Well worth the visit! Lots of shopping and plenty of great restaurants to choose from. We had lunch at Provender Hall. Sat upstairs (you have to be able to climb the stairs.) So much can be said about the Stockyards. From the bulls to the bars. Billy Bobs was awesome. We were there mid day so it wasn't busy at all. The night life picked up and we did a little dancing. We will definitely be visiting again 😊

Great place for an adult weekend getaway! We visited the world famous Billy Bob’s for a concert, watched the daily longhorn cattle drive, attended the rodeo and shopped at the stores. Parking in the public lots range $10-$25 a day. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

The Oval Rose Garden boasts hundreds of roses while Rock Springs offers tranquil ponds and herb collections.
This is one of my favorite spots in Fort Worth! It is absolutely stunning. I have been to quote a few Japanese Garden in USA, the again is the best! The Japanese garden is well designed in a large part of Fort Worth Botanical Garden. It shows how the architects care and respect Japanese gardens. Beautiful buildings are also in there. I went there when it is all green but I can see lot of maple trees. I imagine that when it is late November, the park will even be more stunning! I saw someone has a wedding in the park that day, what a great choice!

A great place to go when you have a family gathering and you want to do some special activities outdoors or just pack a lunch and go sit on the nice big lawn and watch all the beautiful insects go by sometimes butterflies but definitely fall is not the best place here unless you like the Christmas lights for the Christmas light show. I use the gardens when they were in full bloom for weddings in June and I've attached one that I did long time ago but it gives you an idea just how pretty the place is when it's full of color.

The Kimbell Art Museum, situated in Fort Worth's Cultural District, is a renowned institution celebrated for its impressive collection and iconic architecture. The museum boasts an extensive array of art spanning from antiquity to the 20th century, featuring masterpieces by notable artists from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Ancient America. Housed within the striking Louis Kahn-designed building, the museum offers visitors a captivating experience with its diverse range of paintings, sculptures, and artifacts.
First of all, admittance is FREE or it was the day I went. The Kimbell Art Museum is a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its exquisite collection of vintage paintings and ancient artifacts. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a timeless atmosphere, where each piece tells a story of its own. The vintage paintings, characterized by rich colors and intricate brushwork, evoke a sense of nostalgia and admiration for the artists’ craftsmanship. The ancient art section is equally impressive, showcasing artifacts that span centuries and cultures, such as Roman sculptures. Each exhibit is accompanied by informative plaques that enhance the viewing experience, providing context and insight into the historical significance of the pieces. The museum's layout is inviting, allowing for a leisurely stroll through the galleries, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to share their insights. The Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth made a strong impression on me. The atmosphere is cozy and peaceful, and it makes you want to stay longer and simply enjoy the art. I was especially amazed to see original works by Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and other great masters. It’s a rare chance to experience world-famous masterpieces in person. The exhibition is beautifully curated, everything is high-quality and thoughtfully arranged. This place truly inspires and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Highly recommend it for a cultural escape

Went for the Myth and Marble rotating exhibit. Also, walked around to see their permanent art collections. Overall, very nice and interesting. Lots of French artists but still some good variety. Preferred the sculptures and pottery over the paintings. Definitely a fun and quick thing to do on an outing. May not recommend bringing young children as the museum staff enforce “quiet and pleasant” atmosphere. Also, not allowed to get too close to each piece not all are roped off with preferred distance for viewing but there is quite a bit of staff stationed in each area. Myth and Marble exhibit was interesting but not as good as I was expecting. A lot of statues not in their original design or were renovated with modern materials to reflect the idea of what it would have looked like when first being made.

This is a great location with one of the best staffs of any museum I have ever visited. I brought a group of 100 people here and everyone of them was happy we stopped. Highly Recommend! Carrie is great to work with!

Stopped in on a weekday. The internet said they were open, but they are only open weekends. You can still walk around the site just can't go in the buildings. Small but nice attraction right off the highway.

What a wonderful time, we got there on a day they were recognizing Polynesian culture, and the shows were fantastic. I loved the "sheriff" he was very cordial and made our trip awesome.

What a wonderful experience we had last week! My husband and I were camping at the State Park and lucked out that there was a free Cultural Event that same day at the Museum. We saw the Black Smith, the Leather Artist, and then the ceremony and ate delicious free food! All on a beautiful plot of land near the lake. It was fun and educational as now we know Guam's history. Thank you to volunteers and everyone else who made the event spectacular! ✨😁

Yes, this is a must go. People are awesome. We did find out there is a venue for wedding, parties and meetings. Wish there was larger variety stuff for sale. The Teepees didn't have anything but two logs. Wished there were people to speak with in some of the building. Parking was great. Restrooms nice and clean. We will go back for other social events they have a few dates for chilli cooking contest. They have a few reenactments coming soon. See ya there. Was a good museum also. So ya put on walking shoes and bring your pup (on leash at all times and remember to clean up after them😉) they are dog friendly.

We happened by this place on chance and had a wonderful time. They have horse rides for little ones and trail rides for teens and adults. Lots of museums, blacksmith working, real old time jail cells, and a small little 1800s town to walk through. We will go again.

Revolver Brewing, a family-owned craft brewery located in Granbury, Texas, offers Saturday tours featuring tastings, live music, and on-site food vendors. Founded by father and son Ron and Rhett Keisler along with Master Brewer Grant Wood, this microbrewery has quickly gained recognition in the Texas craft beer industry for its popular labels like Sidewinder and Blood & Honey. Visitors can enjoy brewery tours from 12 to 3 p.m.
Still making fantastic beer almost 12 years later! Family and furry-friends friendly, tons of inside and outside seating, GREAT beer!

It was a 5 star for me until recently. Something changed and I hoped to get in touch through their website but seems like most every other company it has become virtually impossible. So I will leave my complaint and review here. When I first tasted Revolver Brewing Blood and Honey many years back, I became an instant fan. However, my last purchase some days back, my favorite beer wasn't available in bottles. So I purchased the available 12 pack in cans. The taste and flavor from this packaging has been the worst ever. Horrible! It is not the Blood and Honey I've grown to enjoy so much. Please don't do away with glass bottles and DUMP the cans. Thank you. J A G

Everything there was good and a great price, product and atmosphere, except for the older white haired guy that worked at the outdoor pavilion was a jerk. It was 10 minutes before closing, but said the bar was closed. My husband said it's not 430. He said, I don't care what they said inside ....We don't have any CO2. He did have canned beer that he could have given us. But just didn't give a crap. Another guy at the bar committed on how the sam guy had a bad attitude earlier when he asked if he could taste something and told him no you just get it and gave him a full beer and took a ticket.

It’s a drive from Dallas but worth it for a good Saturday. Whole experience was great. For 20 bucks you get a wristband for 6 pours of the many options of beers. Plenty plenty of space under the shade and out in the sun. Live singers when I was there. Very glad I finally made the trip out and see it for myself.
Willie R — Google review
Although Revolver is more of a destination brewery for anyone living in DFW, it's worth Saturday afternoon visit. For $15, you get 6, 8 ounce pours of any of the 30 or so beers/selzers on tap. A lot of them you can't get in stores. You get to keep the glass. They have semi indoor and outdoor seating, with live music and a food truck. It was a fun time for my friends and myself.

So happy to finally have made it out to their brewery! Very Large property, nicely set up for visiting and great outdoor area with food truck , music stage and games. Beer of course was great and I had fun talking with the staff about the brewery. Looking forward to going back.

If you are looking for clear blue skies and a great place to drink Texas beer, look no further than Revolver Brewing in Granbury. They are only open to the public on Saturday afternoons, but it is worth the wait. Patrons over 21 pay $15 for a souvenir cup and 4 to 6 sample pours depending on the time of arrival. The beer is tasty and it is a fun atmosphere with live music. Several shaded pavilions available for large parties. Dogs are permitted in the outdoor areas.
Jamie C — Google review
Epically huge brewery, perfect for a family picnic. Every $10 glass to keep comes with four short pours of their best options - always Blood and Honey, but also plenty of brewery-only options. Way out there, so plan for a trip. Barbecue table was set up on a recent Saturday.

Big Rocks Park

Park
Nature & Parks
Big Rocks Park, situated along the Paluxy River in Glen Rose, is a family-friendly destination known for its large boulders and kid-friendly swimming areas. The park offers opportunities for children to climb the big rocks and play in the shallow parts of the river. Additionally, visitors can enjoy swimming and cooling off from the Texas heat. For those seeking relaxation, light yoga sessions are available at GOAT Ranch from April through October.
Not being from the area and arriving after 5pm mid-week, I immediately recognized the river/dam as i passed it, but the parking lot was easy to miss for me. The entrance is right off the main road, sitting close to other fun looking local businesses with a similar large, open, gravel parking lot. Due to our later arrival the empty lots ran together and I missed the turn. **The parking lot itself is slightly sloped and quite bumpy!! It's primarily made up of dirt and embedded stones rather than loose gravel, giving a more cobblestone feeling. It was fairly level aside from a few small holes and dips from normal traffic wear. My small vehicle got in and out with no problem but do be sure to drive slowly and keep eyes on the road, especially if in a car low to the ground. The park seemed smaller than I expected but still a beautiful area! There were some bits of litter here and there that were likely carried off by the wind and got trapped between the rocks, but the park was generally clean. The surrounding nature looked nice and healthy, water was clear and clean. Fish, deer, birds/cranes, along with other little critters were out and about. It was so beautiful and relaxing, we're excited to go back and stay longer next time!

Big Rocks Park in Glen Rose is a hidden gem for a laid-back family outing. The shallow river is perfect for kids to splash around, and the massive limestone rocks make it feel like nature’s playground. The sunset views were beautiful, and the whole area felt peaceful and relaxed. One thing to be aware of: we spotted a snake in the water, so stay alert, especially with young kids. Still, it felt safe overall, and the mix of water, rocks, and open space made it a memorable stop. A great spot for a picnic, photos, and cooling off on a hot day.
Manan M — Google review
The water depth is very shallow. Too shallow to really swim in if an adult. Very rocky near the river. No shade anywhere. The rocks and sand are quite hot in the summer.

Still like I remember from my childhood in the 80s.. The water was very low, but it's still. A beautiful place. No amenities available. Bring your own chairs.

Big Rocks Park in Glen Rose, TX, is a scenic and family-friendly day trip destination known for the massive, smooth rocks lining the Paluxy River. The water is shallow and safe, making it ideal for younger kids to wade and play during the summer. It's also a great spot for dogs, provided they are strictly kept on a leash. Be aware that the parking lot is made of uneven stone, so wear appropriate shoes and drive carefully. Overall, this park is a beautiful, low-key, slice of nature perfect for a relaxed family outing.

Dinosaur World

Museum
Specialty Museums
Over 150 life-size models in natural outdoor settings, plus a fossil dig, playground, museum & more.
We had the best time for my son’s 3rd birthday!! He loved all of the different activities. Loved the two different fossil digs and the playground had stuff he’d never seen before that challenged him! He also spent a good amount of time feeding the fish. This place is just too too cute. Wish they had a 3-day pass option for those who are not local!

🦖Family Fun Day, in Glen Rose TX @Dinosaur World with My Daughter and 5 grandchildren who love everything Dinosaurs, until my 3yr old grandson got the opportunity to see them up close and in person, and he was sure that they were going to eat him 🙂🤨😂. As terrible as that sounds, we had a great time. He cried on the way in, and cried when we left because he wants to go back again 🤷🏽👌🏾✨. They have a splash park, an animated museum, a train 🚂 ride, a dinosaur trail that makes for a great learning experience, and exercise, a nice pond with fish and turtles that I'm sure you can feed, and from the looks of it, they fish and turtle knew that we could feed them as well, as you can see in the video the minute we walked up, they all came to the surface. There was so much to see, that we will definitely be going back again 🦕.

Listen , i give nothing but honest reviews so take a second and read what I have to say about this place. This place is great for your first time going, but if you live in the area and go more than once, hoping that just maybe they will come up with some more exciting ideas instead of some worn painted slightly damaged dinosaurs then you would have spent waaaayy to much money yet again and will be highly disappointed unfortunately. Although I will say, we went recently sept 9th 2025 for my son's birthday and they did have a little water park for the kids to cool off in after the short circle walk looking at the dinosaurs, oh! And they did have a pterodactyl in the museum area, a squeaky one displayed lol! I dont know if this is government funded , which would make sense for how poorly its ran. Customer service is way below average , they are worried about you stepping over the stupid ropes so you dont touch the idiotic skeletons laying all over the place smh. Do you remember the movie "land of the lost" with will Ferrell when he goes to that run down "amusement park" and he goes to another dimension? Well this place and its employees are not far off, all I was missing was his tachyon amplifier and i was set lmao! Go once but never again , in my opinion, its not worth the 100's of dollars you will spend on the tickets, train ride, gift shop and everything else they will try and charge you for .
The R — Google review
If you like dinosaurs, you will absolutely love this place! They have life-size dinosaurs, you can walk among, an animatronic museum, a dig sight, a park and a gift shop. Its so much fun for kids of all ages! Adult kids too!
Tracey L — Google review
Took my 3 year old and he loved it. My only complaint is it's pretty pricey for what it is and general admission doesn't pay for some of the activities, like the train ride or fossil dig. The dinosaurs were the best we've seen at similar attractions. For general admission and the train ride it was $86 for two adults and one child. If we lived closer I think the annual pass would be a better deal.
Megan S — Google review
Over priced general admission, you have to pay extra per person for a train ride, a dig and some other activity. We payed nearly $100 for 3 adults and 2 children. The splash pad is a makeshift 15x15 area with water sprinklers and an electric cord right next to it supplying electricity to some fans on the other side of the sidewalk. The dinosaur information plaques on the trail are half erased. The playground has half of its jungle gym closed off. You're probably better off going half a mile down the road to the State Park.
Lourdes N — Google review
What a fun trip! We explored the entire park and had a blast! Gem Mining, Fossil Digging, Train Riding, and visiting the museum was all very educational and FUN! The staff is all amazing and helpful. The gift shop is extensive and has a little something for every budget. They also have two big playgrounds for kids up to 12. Definitely bring sunscreen and water because Texas is HOT! DON'T MISS THIS PARK!
Kerri B — Google review
We had a lot of fun! I think they offer a lot for the price point. There was hardly anyone there when we went. We walked the trail and saw the dinosaurs with our 4 year old. The trail is a little over .5 mile long with lots of shady spots. There is a stocked pond along the way. The park was large and provided fun entertainment while parents took a break. The extras aren't that expensive and are fun for the Littles!

Dinosaur Valley State Park

Nature & Parks
Park
Fossilized footprints along a river, plus 2 life-sized dinosaur models on 1,587 scenic acres.
Dinosaur Valley State Park is a true gem! The park offers a wonderful combination of natural beauty and fascinating history. Walking along the riverbeds and seeing real dinosaur tracks was an unforgettable experience. The trails are well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots for picnics and relaxing by the water. It’s a perfect place for families, hikers, and anyone who loves nature and a bit of prehistoric adventure. Highly recommend visiting!
Parvin K — Google review
If you're planning a visit, make sure to arrive early! While parking is sufficient, it can get limited as everyone arrives for the day. The location boasts a spacious picnic area equipped with grills and tethers for your furry friends. You'll find plumbing for restrooms in the picnic area, along with portable toilets at the entrances to most trails. The water is stunningly clear, allowing you to spot everything from dinosaur footprints to seashells. The trails are clean and well-maintained, with connections that let you choose between long treks or shorter loops. Most trails are shaded, providing a welcome break from the sun. That said, it does get quite hot, so be sure to bring extra water and layers for sun protection. There’s also a charming little store that offers all the essentials. Overall, this place is fantastic for everyone, from seasoned hikers to toddlers just looking to splash around in the water.

It was so peaceful once we walked down to the river. I wish the signage was a little better. The dinosaur tracks in the river are just really neat to see and think about. It was a pretty warm day, but the river was so nice and cool. My husband road his bike around some of the trails. He liked it.
Rennah D — Google review
It's a nice place to cool off in the water. I took my shoes off and walked across the slippery rocks to see the dinosaur tracks. I was amazed at how big they were! They offer life jackets to use for safety in the swimming area, too. It's a very clean park that offers several hiking trails, horseback riding, and picnic areas. They also have a fun souvenir store. I can wait to go again.

We were driving through Glen Rose, Texas, and noticed several dinosaur statues and signs around town. Curious, we asked Siri why—and learned about Dinosaur Valley State Park. We decided to take the short 10-mile detour, and it was absolutely worth it! The river area is beautiful, and the dinosaur tracks are fascinating to see up close. The trails to the tracks were well marked, and parking was plentiful and convenient. All of the track sites were within a couple hundred yards of the parking areas, making them easy to reach.
Jon J — Google review
We love coming here. There are some easy hikes and some hard. The river is peaceful and relaxing, and warm enough to play in. The dinosaur footprints are pretty visible and really cool!
K. B — Google review
As a child my parents took me here, so I knew I had to take my kids as well. We stopped by the little “merch” shop (that’s my kids call it), and I got them some t shirts. I would highly recommend bringing swim clothes for the kids and yourself, so they can swim close to the Dino tracks. There was a high amount of algae today, so certain areas of the Dino tracks were not that visible. Other than that we had a great time in the creek / river.
MATTHEW K — Google review
Lovely place. Drive was worth it. Dino footprints are located in an area called Ballroom something. It's all under water. Take water shoes, water runs knee high in the summer. You'll have to cross the river. Glen Rose is a bit of a corny town. Dino statues are everywhere Clever idea! Nice picnic area to eat at. Bathrooms are decent. Best to go during the week. It will take less time to arrive. Tickets are purchased by time slots.

The Granbury Opera House, a historic venue located in the heart of Granbury's downtown square, has been meticulously restored to its former glory. Originally built in 1886, this iconic building features elegant twin curved staircases, imported chandeliers, and original limestone walls. The intimate seating arrangement ensures an exceptional view from every seat. Home to the Granbury Theatre Company, the Opera House hosts live musicals and comedies while also offering theater education programs.
Amazing place and the shows are always so good! We get season tickets because we never want to miss one. It is pretty chilly inside so I always take a little sweater so I can enjoy the show and not be cold.

Absolutely delighted! I am a nerd. But a nerd that will turn on my favorites getting poor renditions - this Pride and Prejudice play was done so well - I know so many of the lines by heart and the way they collapsed storylines without compromising the story - it was done so well. They did a great job and I don't have one thing to say bad about it.

just saw Young Frankenstein!! it was our first time watching a musical in person and it did not disappoint!! the performance was phenomenal. we fell in love with the characters and actors by the end. the absolute talent, staging and energy were outstanding and left us wanting more. thank you so much for an unforgettable performance!

We have been coming to the opera house since I was a child. They use amazing local talent to produce classic musicals and plays. We recently saw Singin’ in the Rain and Pride and Prejudice. There a great little candy store next door to grab a sweet treat before the play.

The show was so much fun! The one thing that wasn't great is when you're seated on the end, seats A 19 &20, there's a lot of times when part of the show is blocked by either props or actors. The place was really clean. My only complaint about the establishment is I wish they had a concessions type area, especially for drinks!
Cody B — Google review
Watched Elf, the musical. We loved the show, but the only reason we didn't give five stars is because to many very little kids that their parents wouldn't keep them quiet or take them out in the lobby. There should be an age limit. No babies. Update: My wife and I have been coming here for years. Besides Elf, everything else has been good. We just went to watch White Christmas, the play. It was very good. I liked the guy who walked really slow with a funny grin. My wife liked the lady in red who stayed behind the desk with a red dress. She was very funny and good at what she did. Update as of March 2, 2024: My wife and I just watched "My Fair Lady," and we loved it.

Granbury Square, located in the heart of Granbury, Texas, is a charming historic destination bustling with activity. The square is surrounded by boutique shops, art galleries, and delightful restaurants. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll around the area to admire its unique architecture and immerse themselves in the city's past by visiting attractions like the Hood County Jail Museum and the Granbury Opera House.
Very nice place to wander, with lots to do: shopping, drinking, eating, etc. Do venture off the square though, as there is more to explore. My favorites, Bob's off the Square, Brewdrinkery, and a new crepe place with sweet and savory options.

Jaimie J — Google review
The Historic Granbury Square, located in Granbury, Texas, is a vibrant blend of rich history, charming architecture, and small-town hospitality. Established in the late 1800s, the square is anchored by the iconic Hood County Courthouse, a striking example of Second Empire-style architecture that remains the heart of the community. Surrounding the courthouse are beautifully restored 19th-century buildings, which now house a variety of unique boutiques, antique stores, cozy cafes, wine bars, and fine dining establishments. One of the standout attractions on the square is the Granbury Opera House, which dates back to 1886. Restored to reflect its original grandeur, the opera house hosts live performances year-round, adding to the town’s cultural appeal. Visitors can also explore the old Hood County Jail, now a museum that tells stories of the town’s colorful past, including legends of famous outlaws like Jesse James and even whispers that John Wilkes Booth once lived there under an alias. The square isn’t just about history—it’s also a hub for community life. Throughout the year, it comes alive with festivals, art shows, and live music events. Farmers markets and seasonal celebrations make it a lively place for both residents and tourists. With its picturesque setting, walkable layout and sit out outside

Parker County Courthouse

I photographed a wedding at the Parker County Courthouse. Not only was it a beautiful historic courthouse with its beautiful architecture, everyone was welcoming and Kind. From the security guard welcoming us, to the Court Coordinator also welcoming us with a tour of the courthouse and where photos could be taken. Then there was Country Judge Deen, so down to earth, humble, and you would of thought this was just a casual family visit. He sat down my couple in his office and just talked. The way he slowed down the rush and nerves of getting married was a huge shift for my couple. He took his time and care in marrying the couple. For the many weddings at courthouse, we are usually rushed in and out. Judge Deen took his time as though he was expecting important guests. He introduced himself to the family and even me, the photographer. He prayed with the family, took time to give the newlywed advice, and invited us to continue taking pictures in the courthouse. This was impressive and I know meant a lot to the newlywed and their family. The courthouse is located in a busy roundabout, so all the cars and trucks were hooking to celebrate the newlyweds! Thank you Parker County Courthouse for one amazing moment and making their wedding greater than we expected.

Went on a whim something different out of the area about 90min from Lewisville. A beautiful drive there. $10 per person pets allowed. Spend about 4 hrs. Beautiful scenic & peaceful. Many fountains picnic areas 3 very air-conditioned clean restrooms. No bug spray used in June walked away with about 8 mosquito bites, so for the little ones spray might be a good idea. Coolers and drinks permitted. Stroller friendly. Wheel chair may be difficult. Many shaded areas. Will definitely return. Thank you for sharing the beautifully maintained property and history.

Beautiful peaceful place to spend Mothers Day or any other day. Shady trails well marked passing by all nature of Texas plants with sculptures along the paths. Would be a lovely venue for a wedding, chapel and a large reception tent. Oh and the model train setup Is fun.

I loved Clark Gardens. This was my pick from the very beginning because we wanted our wedding to feel ethereal and secret garden inspired, lush, romantic, and full of life. We were also going for a touch of Tuscany since that is where we were headed for our honeymoon, and Clark Gardens’ baroque details and Mediterranean inspired landscaping fit the vision perfectly. There are even trees in the White Garden that are the same species found in Italy, and it felt like a little piece of Europe tucked away in Texas. The planning staff was incredible from start to finish, responsive, kind, and truly invested in making our day special. Every question was met with patience and professionalism, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The venue itself is beyond magical: peacocks roaming the pathways, butterflies fluttering through the gardens, and sparkling fountains around every corner. It is pure enchantment. The wedding party stayed at The Retreat at Clark Gardens, the guest house on the property, which provided an absolutely calm and serene place to gather during the wedding weekend. It was the perfect escape, quiet, cozy, and surrounded by nature. I felt relaxed and rejuvenated the entire time, and it made the weekend feel even more special and connected. Clark Gardens is truly a hidden gem in the DFW area. The property feels private and peaceful, like you have stepped into another world, and every inch of it is breathtakingly beautiful. Our guests could not stop talking about how stunning it was, and it is no surprise they have now been featured on the cover of British Vogue. If you are dreaming of a fairytale garden wedding, this is the place. I will sing their praises forever. Clark Gardens made our day everything we imagined and more. Book them and make your dream day a reality!

Clark Gardens in Weatherford, TX is undeniably beautiful. The gardens are lush, spacious, and well-maintained, with several lovely water features and scenic backdrops that make for stunning photos. The property feels peaceful and clean, and on our event day, the staff worked diligently to keep the main floor dry and safe despite steady rain. However, there are some important things future guests and couples should know. While the venue sets up the essentials — such as tables and chairs — you’re largely responsible for ensuring all additional items and details are taken care of. Unfortunately, the gardens don’t hold rainwater well. Even under the tented areas, puddles lingered, leaving the bottoms of dresses and pant legs wet and muddy. Outdoor walkways quickly turned to soft mud, and accessibility was especially difficult for anyone using a wheelchair or stroller. Another challenge is navigation. The website and Airbnb listings provide very limited instructions, and because cell service can be spotty in the area, GPS often struggles to lead guests to the correct entrance. There are multiple entry points — some private or gated — and with minimal lighting at night, it’s easy to get lost. Guests, especially older ones unfamiliar with digital maps, found this particularly confusing. It’s highly recommended to map out directions before losing daylight, as signage and visibility at night are limited. The on-site cottage is charming, complete with beautiful peacocks wandering nearby, which adds to the charm of the gardens. However, guests should be aware that a copperhead snake was spotted on the cottage porch during our stay, so it’s wise to be cautious when walking the property at night. Additionally, while the cottage address is listed as the same as the main venue, there are multiple buildings and homes on the property — and no clear directions provided to distinguish which one is the cottage, adding to the navigation confusion. The cottage host was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, interactions with the venue’s day-of manager, Janet, were not as pleasant. While she was efficient and ensured key tasks were completed, her demeanor toward guests and wedding party members felt abrupt and unwelcoming at times. The bride and several guests experienced interactions that came across as dismissive rather than understanding, which added unnecessary stress to an already emotional day. For example, when there was confusion about use of the nearby kitchen area, instead of calmly clarifying, Janet corrected the bride sharply in front of others, leaving her embarrassed and uncomfortable. Later, the bridal suite was locked before cleanup was finished, which made the party feel rushed out. While some staff were kind and hardworking, the overall experience — particularly due to inconsistent communication, confusing logistics, and tone of guest interaction — made the day more stressful than it needed to be. That said, Clark Gardens remains a lovely location for photos and nature-filled celebrations. With clearer directions, improved accessibility, and more thoughtful communication from staff, it could easily become a top-tier venue experience.

Lake Mineral Wells State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Campground
Scenic area featuring trails to town, camping areas & mineral-rich waters for swimming.
This is my favorite Texas State Park. It’s close to home but feels far away from the city. Great trails for hiking, biking and equestrian. We have come here numerous times over the years and always fine something new to do. Great hiking around the lake. Rock climbing is so fun! My daughter and I went with Rock About Climbing and had an incredible guide who made it fun for both of our levels. We like tent camping in the equestrian area because the sites are spread out a bit more. The bathrooms haven’t been updated in that area like ones in the other areas. I’m the type that enjoys going to visit new places but I find our family coming here again and again.

Nice day trip .... It was a bit too hot (96°F) for any extended hike. But we had a picnic and great conversation with a Park Ranger. We will be back for hiking and biking.

Late Post | Winter Season Stayed in a campsite back in January in our camper van. Such a great Texas State Park! Well maintained and the bathrooms were clean. Did a couple of trails and even saw an armadillo! Also, love that they have a little free library where you can take/leave a book! Next time we camp there, I’ll definitely bring some books to leave.

Easy walk on a floating pontoon walkway that passes through a heavily forested area and across a lagoon with water birds and Lilly pads. Very picturesque with many benches along the way. Parking is adequate and free. Nice place for a quiet walk.

Really nice park! Stayed a couple nights and had a great time. The camp sites are kept and clean, same for the bathrooms. The lake is really nice, and there are plenty of fishing docks scattered around it, although you got a hike a bit to reach a few of them. The hiking trails are gnarly! Bring boots with ankle support, lots of rocks! They even havea rock climbing area! Oh, and the wildlife at my campsite was pretty awesome. Squirrels, armadillo, cardinals, and some big ol lizard all came out! Great park!

Wonderful place to camp, hike, and kayak. The only downside was the racoons. There were almost dozen each night that invaded the camping area. They are not afraid of anything. They ripped the tent. We kept no food out and they still invaded us for about an hour.

Beautiful lake, good access and nice facilities. Friendly staff and good shopping nearby. We rented a screened shelter and set up a tent. Only recommendation I'd make to the park staff is the shelter could use some additional cleaning.

I was uniquely impressed by this hidden gem. Perfect sized lake, fishing, boating, and hiking. It's minutes from Weatherford with fantastic fellow campers. Going back for the trails and rock climbing.

Stephenville has done a great job preserving these structures, wagons & artifacts. I really enjoyed my visit & recommend Stephenville Historical House Museum to anyone who wants to learn about life in this city’s early years.

We had a little impromptu tour which was very cool, informative, and fun. The old carriages and cabins were so neat to look at. The tour guide was interactive and told us a bit about so many of the different items and buildings/areas. Super cool! We had another unprecedented adventure trying to find a missing piece of my son’s action figure that he lost along the tour. The tour guide was so kind to my son, helped us look, and was very patient. Hats off to him for being a great tour guide and having such a kind and patient heart. We will return soon (this time, without the action figure LOL).

1st time in Stephenville. Small town but historic looks quiet and not crowded. I recommend everyone come by or visit Stephenville. Sorry for don’t have any picture of his city to post here.

We stopped here when we were passing through. We did not wait for a guided tour which meant we would not able to enter the buildings. It was an interesting place to walk around. I recommend stopping if you have a half hour to spare.

Some beautiful and interesting structures. But, lady working didn't seem to know squat about Stephenville history. My guess is that this place has a potential to be a much better educational centee than what it is.

I would definitely give them 5 stars even though I was not be able to be there before they close! This trip was in my bucket list for a long time. It did worth driving from Dallas all the way there tho! The facility was big and you could even see the inside from the windows outside. Leave early and you can make it before they close at 5. There is a shop next to it you can buy your favorite flavor soda, beer or ice cream. I did really enjoy visiting this lovely town! I would definitely come back again! ☘️

I was a little sad when it was closed plus they used to make the old fashioned suds from a fountain and that place was closed too. I did walk across the street got me some Dublin soda everyone drink them on a road trip and they were delicious. Took as much pictures as I could wish I was here a lot earlier. Rip

Don't waste a trip. The museum has been closed since 2021. We drove 2 hours just to find that out. We did visit the little gift shop. It was small like a closet but at least we got to buy some souvenirs and make our own 6 pack. The lady at the register even offered us each a free pin. Afterwards, we took pictures with the world's largest soda bottle. A local offered to take our picture so we could all be in the photo. Just disappointed that the museum is closed and that it wasn't stated on here other than in other reviews which I unfortunately didn't read beforehand. Google gives hours of operation and that gives the misconception that this place is still operating.

This is a awesome fun place , takes you back in time in the old soda fountain. The tour of bottling company and Dr Pepper museum was great! The history of this place is very interesting being a Dr Pepper fan. The memorabilia is some of the best and probably one of the largest collections.
Sun F — Google review
We were disappointed that none of the machinery really worked, they could have it running just for tours, they had one machine that they showed as a demo but it didn't do all the things it could do. We were also disappointed that they didn't offer us a taste of any of the sodas. My husband has diabetes and can't really have it but could have a sip. The museum tour by the employee was nice and informative.
Clearly C — Google review
This place is legendary for their history of making Dr. Pepper with pure cane sugar. But, since the corporation took that away from them they are now bottling their own sodas. If you're driving through, it may be worth a stop.
D L — Google review
The facility of where it all started for the infamous Dr. Pepper soft drink we know today. But before it was known as Dr. Pepper, Dublin Bottling Works is the more humbling beginnings Location offers 2 types of tours that shares the history of the drink and it's branding better than I can. Both of which suited for all ages. Guided and unguided tours. However with the guided tours, patrons will have the ability to create there own "Dr. Pepper" soft drink to take home with you. Plus it's a good memorabilia to take with you whether you drink your concoction or not. The visitor center offers numerous flavors thru out the years Dublin has been running including their original flavors. It's a pleasant visit for anyone who wishes to Branch out.
Alfonso J — Google review
Still some very good drinks here even though they were forced to stop making Dublin Dr. Pepper and the successor version unfortunately. Although I wouldn't consider Red Cola quite as good as the Dublin Dr. Pepper was, I would consider it a better version of Cherry Dr. Pepper. Vintage Cola has a similar taste to Pepsi. They have a bar type area where you can try any of the drinks offered here for free. Then you can pick whatever drinks you like in a case or a smaller amount if you like. Very friendly staff and some nice souvenirs.

Possum Kingdom Lake is a breathtaking 18,000-acre reservoir nestled among picturesque hills and cliffs, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Known for its excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for striped bass and catfish, the best time to cast your line is from late spring to early summer. Visitors can enjoy swimming, boating, and diving in this serene environment. Staying in a cozy cabin within the state park allows Texas residents to fish without needing a license.
This lake is so beautiful! I love setting out the trout lines around our dock and catch Catfish and other fish! I also love jumping off the docks! Highly recommend this lake, just watch out for Alligator Gar and Perch!

The lake was nice and quiet perfect for relaxing and taking the kids out for some boating and fishing. It’s definitely worth spending family time out here. We even had our food stolen by some of the beautiful creatures at night (lol), which just added to the fun experience! The small store on-site was great for souvenirs and little necessities. Overall, a peaceful and memorable place to unwind and enjoy nature.

We love it here. All the boaters tie up in the bay that you reach by going between hells gates. Hell's Gates are the two giant cliffs that you always see pictures of. Get there early for a good spot and to enjoy some solitude before everyone arrives. It's very busy on the weekend as you would expect.

Good lake for boating! Not too much traffic but just enough! We went over Memorial Day and rented a boat from bluffs creek Marina. Devils gate area is the best place for tying up and socializing. Good times!

Stayed in a cabin in the state park area where Texas residents can fish without a license. Beds were uncomfortable. A short walk to the fishing dock that we usually had to ourselves. Nice roped off swim area with picnic tables and shelters. Very quiet and clean area. Beautiful sunrises over the lake. There is a store that you can get some essential items from. There was a small boat docking area but no marina. We drove about a half hour from the state park to a marina where we rented a boat.

I had a very nice experience here. I camped in a tent with my husband next to the lake and we loved it. People around were friendly and not loud, you can swim in the lake, overnight there are some deer around as well as raccoons (around the camp area) but animals usually are trying to avoid people, the rules were respected which made the experience nice.
Catalina C — Google review
This can be a very busy state park. Also didn’t love that people were fishing in the swim area. Some people just think they are above the rules. The lake was nice, sand at the swimming area was nice too. This area is so cool, wish the state park was closer to Hells gate!

It is a beautiful, well kept park. The water was clear and the swimming beach was clean. Park store is packed with anything you may have forgotten to bring, even has snowcones for warm days, a grill for ordering a burger when you wanna break from cooking, and lots of souvenirs to choose from. We stayed in a cabin with a small but full kitchen, full bathroom and sleeps 4. It was clean and AC worked great. We had a blast! The scenery is enough of a reason to visit, hike a trail, take a swim. We will be back often as we can!
Mandy S — Google review
We stayed 2 nights here and tent camped. Big park lots of wildlife we saw deer, pigs, raccoons lots of birds. Beautiful park. Not all spots are tent friendly so just be mindful it's hard to see the spots on their website, but we made it work. The first night the showers worked and it was so nice they are old, but they worked fine. The second night all their bath houses were closed for maintenance and when you expect to be able to shower after a long hot day and you can't was definitely a bummer. They had Portable potty so better than nothing but when you have hundreds of people using them they get pretty nasty pretty quick. Our camping spot was a good ways from the swimming area so we drove to swim and it felt great especially on a hot day but the lake floor was nothing but rocks hard on the feet but maybe with water shoes it would be fine. Park Rangers drive through periodically to be sure everyone is following rules which is great. Dog friendly. Family friendly the store they have there is convenient. All in all it was cool especially if you are truly wanting to camp and get away.

We tent camped here in the fall and had such a great time. It’s an incredibly beautiful area and the sites are very well maintained. We enjoyed the lake view and the wildlife. We were up late at the campfire and saw two deer come graze not 15ft away from us. There is a lovely little park shop that has a water, food, supplies and firewood and a playground and basketball court outside. The staff at the park were kind and helpful. We will definitely be back this year!
Amanda B — Google review
This is now one of my favorite of the 20+ Texas State Parks that I have visited. The park is beautiful and so peaceful. The cabin I stayed in was clean and comfortable. Bring your own sheets, pillows and blankets. Bathroom in the cabin with shower.
Coy P — Google review
You will like it here. Nice quiet park with plenty to do. Far away from big city lights, so the night sky is bright. We stayed at site #1 in the Spanish oak campground loop. The site is short and the concrete pad is sloped towards the back. Better suited for smaller RV's. Covered aluminum pic-nick table on concrete pad Wayer pressure is very good, and electrical hook up is in good shape. Tv reception is poor, but Verizon cell signal is good. The fishing pier is new and they have a canoe/ kayak launch suitable for handicapped use. Bath house is very clean with two large shower areas. The park store is well stocked with everything you need plus souvenirs, and they serve food, sno-cones, etc. The camp sites are well spaced and kept clean by park staff. The lake water is usually clear, but due to heavy rains they had to release a lot of water ,stirring up the water making it look muddy.

The Old Jail Art Center is amazing. I took my niece and great nephew from Kansas to visit the Old Jail and we were in awe of the art and history in there. When we walked in we were greeted by Susan Montgomery who is super sweet and very knowledgeable of the art and museum as a whole. I have lived in Albany my whole life and it has been several years since I visited the Old Jail but I highly recommend going and taking your time and enjoying what this awesome little museum has to offer. Thank you Susan for answering all of our questions and being so sweet to me and my family. We will definitely visit again.

I absolutely love this place, especially the library. I'm a huge fan of Albany to begin with and have been through it many many times in my 58 years on earth. My mother's family is from Haskell County, and I've been stopping in Albany for years because there have always been good milkshakes and clean bathrooms. I stop in Albany every time I come through. This time it was a couple of milk shakes, a new Case knife, and a water cup from the Old Jail. The Old Jail is the prize of the town (from a visitor's perspective). If I could give it six stars I would. The exhibits are solid, and that art library is absolutely fabulous to have in a town that size.

Historic Fort Phantom Hill is a 19th-century fort site with three original stone buildings, offering self-guided tours for history enthusiasts. The park is well-maintained and has walking trails that wind through the fort ruins with labeled signs depicting an old hospital and blacksmith. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of wildflowers blooming in spring while exploring the historical site, which provides a glimpse into Texas's rich history.
This will always be one of my favorite little forts. I always stay at the Holiday Inn in Abilene, wake up before sunrise and drive out to see the sun hit the fort. It's so peaceful, beautiful, and serene.
L T — Google review
I've been to other historic forts that had amenities such as gift shops and partially- or fully-restored ruins. This site has ruins, restrooms, and a heavily spider-infested welcome area with a bit of history posted. So this is a place you come if you like the idea of walking around looking at ruins, not a museum-like ruins as you see in some other historic forts. Also FYI, there's a posted sign warning to watch out for rattlesnakes (we didn't see any; someone apparently mows the grass, which helps) and there are sticker plants, so wear long pants.
Melanie S — Google review
After visiting Frontier Texas!, we headed out to Fort Phantom Hill, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the ruins. It offers a fascinating glimpse into history, and the information booklet provided at the entrance is excellent, allowing for a fantastic, easy, self-paced walking tour of the grounds. The site itself is a beautiful, open piece of history. The only minor drawback is that because it is an open-air historical site, there are quite a few spiders and creepy crawlers around the ruins—so be prepared and maybe wear closed shoes! Despite the bugs, it's a worthwhile, informative, and highly recommended historical stop for anyone in the Abilene area.
Senyi G — Google review
What a great stop on a road trip! We grabbed sandwiches in town and ate them as we walked this site. It's a free park. In mid-May, the flowers were so beautiful! So many butterflies! Cacti were in full bloom! So many huge mosquitoes! Bring insect spray or just do what we did...move quickly and watch each other's backs! The site was great for getting a short walk in on a long drive and seeing some historical ruins.
