The Historic Flight Foundation museum features a collection of vintage planes from 1927 to 1957. It's a great place for anyone with an interest in history, as the museum is packed full of interesting information and aircraft. Be careful though, as the planes are pretty small and may be too crowded for little ones.
My husband and I chose The Historic Flight Foundation for our wedding venue since he loves aviation and we wanted a unique venue that’s different and more exciting for guest. Tyler, the event planner for Historic, and things did an absolutely an everything we wished for. He was always available for any and all questions we had prior to our wedding and responded quickly. He had all the tables set up and ready to go before our family arrived to set up decorations. He has a wide knowledge of the planes that were there and was able to make all the accommodations we asked for. Our guests had an amazing time and the children that came were entertained by the different planes. Our whole wedding went so smoothly thanks to Tyler and the volunteers.

We drove to the area for the Boeing Factory Tour, and drove past this building and stopped in with a bit of curiosity. Housed in a large building are planes from 1927 to 1957, the "Golden Age of Flight." The ticket price looked a bit steep ($15/adult) and we had the option of a self-guided tour OR a docent guided tour. We went with the guided tour and Mark was a GREAT guide - smart, fun, a little entertaining and able to answer our questions. I enjoyed the order in which he took us (oldest to newest) and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was also fun to get up close and personal with these relatively small aircraft, be able to peer into the cockpits and get under the wings. While visitors couldn't get into planes, we sure were able to get up close and personal. Finally, this helped us get a perspective on the big, wide-body planes we were about to see on the Boeing Factory tour. I recommend going on this first, and then head to the Boeing Factory Tour!

They have an outstanding collection of planes, each with it's own interesting story. I was personally drawn to the P-51 Mustang that is a combat veteran and actually flies, as well as the B-25 Mitchell and possibly the most interesting and easily the coolest plane there the Czech Spitfire. It's not everyday you get to see such a significant part of world history right infront of your eyes. The staff was very friendly, especially our your guide Bill. I highly recommend checking this place out and supporting Spokane history.
Chris ( — Google review
It was a great experience and the highlight of Spokane Washington. This place does military discount. It has propeller planes. You can go inside of the DC3 and the B25! The staff is friendly and can teach you a thing or two about the aircraft in the hanger
Jacob M — Google review
Out here for Neighbor Day at Felts Field. So many amazing aircraft and displays. Live music with MasterClass Big Band was the icing on the cake for a great day!
Kirk N — Google review
I had a great experience at the historical flight museum! I was given the opportunity to go on a DC-3 flight, which was an amazing experience. Mr. Sessions was an awesome host and I would recommend anyone to visit the museum.
Hanna S — Google review
It was fantastic! A family of 4 cost $25 admission for a guided tour. Some of the aircrafts we actually got to board and explore. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this experience.
AMBER S — Google review
OMG, for aviation buffs this place is the best. It’s better than a museum since you can actually walk up to a get close to the aircraft and see all the little details up close, smell the old metal and wood, etc. Climbing into the B-25 and DC-3 was also a huge bonus.

Wild Waves Theme and Water Park

Mentioned on

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Wild Waves Theme and Water Park in Federal Way is a sprawling 70-acre amusement park offering thrill rides, water attractions, and fun for all ages. From the Wild Thing roller coaster to the five-story Zooma Falls water ride, there's something for everyone. The park also features a 24,000 square-foot wave pool and gentle rides for younger visitors. It's a popular destination that has been entertaining locals and visitors since it opened as The Enchanted Village in 1977.
Came here on 4th of July and it was not that crowded. We had fun trying all the water slides and the roller coaster. My favorite is the water slide that goes fasttt 👏 If you are a BECU member, you can buy discounted daily ticket
Tien N — Google review
We visited this amusement park and overall had a really fun experience. The staff is great, everyone is polite and helpful, which makes the atmosphere very pleasant. The lines move quickly, which is a big plus. We especially enjoyed the water slides, so much fun! However, one big disappointment was that many of the rides weren't working. We're not just talking about one or two. Whole sections of the park were closed. That was really frustrating, especially since we purchased season passes expecting to have access to everything throughout the season. Hopefully, more of the rides will be up and running later in the season because we’d really like to enjoy everything the pass is supposed to include.
Oksana B — Google review
This place is pretty fun, but it comes with some considerations. I’d have a hard time paying full time for this place, but it has some great things about it. I’d never been, but my company summer outing was here this year, so they generously paid for the whole family and provided food. We got here just before noon, had food and were able to drop off our stuff at the reserved area, so we didn’t have to get a locker. Otherwise, I think a locker is a must. The reserved area is a big trek up the hill, but that’s where the wood roller coaster and a few other thrill rides. The water park offerings are decent and vary. My kids loved the smaller slides in the kiddie pools. There were tiny ones for babies and then gradually larger ones up to three good sized ones that kept my 8 year old really happy. Then we went to the lazy river. It picks up some serious speed. The line was pretty long and getting in and out was a mess. No worker helps the process so it’s fight for your life getting in as others ram into you. Terrible system, but fun once you are in. The wave pool was fun, but they close it down every 10-15 minutes for up to 15 minutes. Lame. By that time it was almost 4pm and all the lines were about an hour wait for anything. It got more and more overcrowded as the day went on making me feel like I’m glad I didn’t pay for it or I’d be really bothered as far as value. Beyond your entrance fee, consider you’ll need a locker for towels and things, so an extra $15. Also parking is $25. You’ll need water shoes or sandals walking around or your feel will burn. Everyone seems to respect placing sandals near the entrance to rides just fine.
Jacob B — Google review
Needs more shady areas and trees!! We got there at opening time and there was visible garbage everywhere, despite that we saw multiple teenage workers with brooms and dustpans (maybe set up more specific zones for each worker, the 2 people we saw were cleaning the same already clean area together). We had purchased a season pass when on sale 4 months prior. It boasted 3 guests each so we brought our kids and some other friends and it turns out it's 3 total guests 1 each month over 3 months. So, we ended up paying a lot more for all the kids we brought with us and our season pass turned out to not be the deal we expected. Big bummer! Next time (if we go again) we will wait and buy the end of season pass for the following year that also allows entry late season this year. For example, Labor Day sale would have cost the same as what we purchased in May but didn't end up using until the end of the season, but we would have gotten 2 years of use out of it had we waited. Cabanas look awesome, particularly the ones along the parking lot side of the wave pool (#13-23) because they have patio chairs and sofa not just a table and dining chairs like the Dasani ones along the inner edge of the Wave pool. All cabanas also have sun loungers. We got lucky and grabbed the only free seats with shade under a tree near the Captain Hook attraction. We had to have an adult guard then all day because the minute I left to take a nearby picture people swooped in and started trying to move in on our seats. Luckily I hadn't gone far and returned as soon as I saw them. Still, I paid $90 entry to sit and guard seats all day, but at least I had free time to read a book! The food and beverages is wow, VERY expensive. I paid $21 for a blended coffee beverage and $17 for 3 chicken tenders and fries. Some of the attractions are not in working order.

We love this place. We get the season pass and have been a few years that we hadn’t got it because my children has grown up but now I got a grandson named Genesis and OMG I want to take him as much as possible. I love this place to have something for everything and food games water rides they have. they have a little baby section a little toddler section. They have a great food plan deal that you should get a bracelet for $75 but it’s worth it. The food is really good. We’ve actually tried a lot of things the most important favorite thing that I like is the corn dog yeah the corn dog is the best and they’re so fast there. I would highly recommend that you. I know that sometimes it can be hard, but it really is something that you wanna do with your children as they’re small because they will soon grow up so fast so I highly recommend that you take the whole family and enjoy.
Veronica R — Google review
Great deal now but for a limited time. $64. One time entry, pay $3. More and get a season pass including fright night. They have movie night in the wave pool. And a 21 or n older night only. Now for the reason this place is dying down. No food or drink aloud inside except one 16 oz unopened water bottle. You CANNOT go back out once you are in. A cabana rental is $400. For the day. Tubes are rentals only . Food hamburger n fries $74.00 not including a drink. The chairs are first come first serve and approximately 3 inches apart from each other.
Denice F — Google review
Really torn on this place, it can be fun but usually not, first the life guards are generally rude and really fussy like little children. The entry staff is awesome no issues. The wave pool works....sometimes, or your always having to get out, the tube's barley hold air so you smash bottom on every slide, it's generally clean but only when they open, the consistency on who they let on rides is ridiculous, not. Very many options for storing tour stuff if your not first 50 people. I really want to like this place but we have been yo so many water parks throughout the country, and I'd say this isn't even a top 20. If it wasn't for cheap tickets on Groupon we probably wouldn't return.

Good quick fun. Spendy. Go on a weekday It can get packed. Purchase a summer pass, you get your $ worth within 2 visits.

Botanical garden
Nature & Parks
The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden in Federal Way is a 22-acre paradise for nature enthusiasts. It boasts an impressive collection of over 700 species of rhododendrons, making it one of the largest in the world. Visitors can explore the garden's vibrant colors and diverse shapes while wandering along its walking trails. The garden features seasonal and perennial plants, with hundreds blooming throughout the year, ensuring there's always something to see.
A unique garden experience unlike any other, this outdoor adventure is more than 2 acres long! Highly recommended if nature compells you or your family, visited once but will visit again in the future to see new hosting of seasons!
Steve K — Google review
These are amazing gardens. We loved the great variety of rhododendrons and azaleas. The park is easy access from the freeway and once you enter, it feels like you stepped into a well groomed garden far away. This is a hidden gem and I recommend it for any visitors wishing to escape some of the more touristy places while visiting Seattle. Parking is free and prices are $10 per person with discounts for seniors and military.
Herb S — Google review
This is an amazing place for Rhododendron species and other plants. The staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions. There is a gift shop, and vendors sell souvenirs, along with a food truck on-site. I love this place and plan to return soon.
Steven — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful walk through this amazing garden. The sun was shining, and the atmosphere was wonderfully peaceful and quiet. As a retired military member, I was grateful for the free admission—thank you for your support. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
Logan P — Google review
Wonderful place to spend an hour or two, wandering under a canopy of large evergreen trees. The multitude of rhododendron varieties are astounding - from all around the world. Best to visit mid-March thru mid-May to see the full spectrum of colors, but any time of year provides a nice getaway from reality. It's only $45 for an annual individual membership, which is a steal - allowing you to return again and again as the seasons change.
Kevin V — Google review
Beautiful gardens! Tons of plants and flowers to look at. The walk is absolutely beautiful and we had a great time!
BreeAnn R — Google review
If you want to see what Rhododendron means, you have to be here. Just plan more time so that you can go on every path, look under every leaf, not to mention the photos. I definitely have to come back here next year when it's all in bloom. And don’t forget to visit the Pacific Bonsai Musem adjacent to the garden.
Jan T — Google review
One of the best gardens around. The temperate/sub-tropical conservatory is fantastic. The grounds are superb. Their plant sales area is excellent with many plants you can only buy there. Also right next door is the bonsai museum. An annual membership here is worth it.

Art museum
Nestled in the heart of Federal Way, the Pacific Bonsai Museum is a hidden gem that showcases an extraordinary collection of over 150 bonsai trees from various countries including China, Japan, Korea, and America. As you stroll through its serene outdoor exhibits, you'll be enchanted by the delicate craftsmanship and stories behind each miniature tree. The museum offers a tranquil escape where visitors can appreciate these living artworks while enjoying beautifully maintained paths that evoke a zen garden atmosphere.
This is a truly breathtaking destination to visit. Having previously resided near Weyerhaeuser for an extended period, I was unaware that this location was accessible to the public. My wife and I stumbled upon it by chance, and we have grown to appreciate it immensely. There is a spacious parking lot, followed by a trail leading to the Pacific Bonsai Museum. Upon arrival at the museum, visitors are treated to the meticulously designed layout of the bonsai trees, all of which are neatly trimmed and showcased. The collection boasts numerous varieties, and exploring each species in depth would likely require a couple of hours.

The Pacific Bonsai Museum is a beloved and well-known destination for art and nature lovers alike—and for good reason. This peaceful, outdoor museum offers a stunning collection of bonsai trees, each one carefully cultivated and uniquely captivating. Admission is free, though a $12 donation per person is suggested and truly well deserved. Donations can be made by cash or charge card, making it easy to support this beautiful space. The winding path through the display feels like a quiet journey, with each turn revealing a new treasure. Interactive elements like a scavenger hunt, a hands-on “how to wire a tree” activity, and informative plaques make it engaging for all ages. During our visit, we were lucky to catch what looked to be a special exhibit featuring refurbished dead bonsai trees transformed into intricate, imaginative tree houses—fascinating and beautifully crafted. The museum also features clean, accessible restrooms and a small gift shop with thoughtful items. A few handicap parking spots and a convenient drop-off area at the entrance are available, with general parking being a short walk down a hill. This unique museum is truly an enriching and memorable experience!
Travlinfam — Google review
What a beautiful Bonsai museum with about 40-50 Bonsai on display. So cool with origin dates ranging 990 to 2000's. Loved seeing the history and details on the plaques. The parking and stroll was easy for my son and grandma. Heard they rotate the Bonsai each season so will definitely be back. Thank you!

A walk in the tall pine forest interrupted by these miniature little bonsai trees 🤣. While many if these bonsai are from our last Century , a few go back intime , how far back ? Ok, before Christopher Colombus , before, Marco Polo, before William Wallace and even before Genghis Khan ! Yes, this caught our attention too !!! What was going on around 900 A.D., one of these bonsai sprung to Life then. Ok, the climate here in the Pacific Northwest rocks !!! Literally, just take a look at Mt. Rainier. The temperatures , precip , soils , care, management and these treasures will continue indefinetly. Seeing is believing and we had a free parking day ! Enjoy these photo shares and then see then when you can, now is a great time ( Sept 27, 2025 )
Greg A — Google review
2nd visit to the Pacific Bonsai Museum outside Seattle in September after a cruise. The place was lovelier than ever! The trees are very well maintained. Their displays are outstanding and highlight a fewer number of bonsai at the best time for viewing. Small Talk runs through Nov 7 and has some AMAZING educational posters
S L — Google review
One of just a few bonsai museums in the country, and will with the time to visit. Go slow and appreciate the decades that these trees have been being shaped. An hour is plenty of time to stop and appreciate all the unique creations and read the signage. My only request wild be that they put up more signage with more detailed histories of each tree on display. Don't forget to stop by in October to see the fall colors!

The Pacific Bonsai museum is one of the 2 bonsai museums in the USA. It's outdoor setting among the old growth firs on the former Weyerhaeuser headquarters campus is peaceful and serene. Magnificent specimens, some over 100 years old. Informed, friendly staff. A must see in the Pacific Northwest!

I would 100% recommend Fit Theorem! I joined their 6 week challenge 8 months after having my first baby and wish I had joined sooner! The classes were challenging but still accessible to someone just starting on their fitness journey, like myself. The instructors were motivating and encouraging throughout the entire class and were able to provide modifications to those who need it. If you do the 6 week challenge they provide a meal plan is easy to understand and helped reduce a lot of my bloating. While I did not meet the challenge goal due to still nursing my son, I did lose 10 lbs of body fat, gained 2 lbs of muscle, and lost 4 inches from my waist. My 6 week challenge may be over, but this is just the beginning for me and my health and I owe a big thanks to Fit Theorem!
Dani B — Google review
I’ve been attending ILKBFW since Sept. 2017. From day one I felt welcomed and encouraged. I’ve done several different workouts over the years but I have to say this is one of the best workouts I receive consistently. I love the warm up process (hardest part 😊) stretching, bags work out and partner drills. They make it fun and provide great healthy tips at the end of the workout. I also love that there are people of all ages, shapes and sizes. So glad I found this place.
Lynn B — Google review
I was disappointed with the 6 week challenge. First of all, it's not actually free. You have to put down an $800 deposit that is only refunded if you meet the fitness goals, which include losing twice as much body fat as is average for a 6-week period. I really tried for four weeks, despite having no accountability. They told me I would have an accountability coach, but I didn't have anyone reaching out to me. At 4 weeks, I hadn't come close to being where I should have been to meet the fitness goals, despite attending the classes and following the meal plan. I cut my losses and stopped going. No one noticed or reached out to me. So much for accountability. That being said, the actual classes are good. It's a good atmosphere, great coaches, and effective exercise. But too much money, and I am upset that I lost $800 for no results.
Jacqi M — Google review
This is the most fun I've ever had working out! They have such an awesome vibe everyone is so nice! It always clean, ready to go for class and the instructors are energetic, helpful, and inspiring:). I'm so glad i joined the ilkb family in it for the long haul! Anyone looking to try something new and get in a good sweat should definitely come try it out! Update! I love this place so much! And I’m attaching some awesome before and afters I’ve been coming 5 days a week for the past year and I’ve completely changed my eating habits! Th community is my absolute favorite part! Do you want your own cheer leaders we are here for you!

FitTheorem really helped me get started on my fitness journey, the 6 week challenge was amazing and was exactly what I needed to jump in the fray. The instructors genuinely care about you and will not only push you to your best but also give lots of great feedback. I also really appreciate the accountability partner and the atmosphere of the place. Good music, great instructors and a community that supports each other.Highly recommend!!

FitTheorem is a great place to get a good cardio workout while learning and practicing kickboxing. The trainers are friendly and do a great job making sure newbies don't fall behind and can follow at their own pace. Cougar Mountain Zoo

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Nestled in Issaquah, Washington, Cougar Mountain Zoo is an 11-acre zoological park founded in 1972 by Peter and Marcie Rittler. The zoo is dedicated to preserving endangered species from around the world, with a focus on big cats and exotic birds. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring lemurs, Bengal tigers, wolves, reindeer, cranes, wallabies, macaws, cougars and more.
My son and I love Cougar Mountain Zoo. It is a small but mighty zoo. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They have animal talks at almost all of the various exhibits, and due to it's small size you can easily make it to most of the talks. You can feed the reindeer and alpacas and a few of the other animals. We've been to a plethora of zoos in various states but left this one feeling like it was "our zoo," to the point we purchased a membership not even caring if we came back more than once or twice, for even a 30 minute visit, because we wanted to support it and for it to always be there for everyone to enjoy. We've since been back three times, and each one is a fun, memorable, different experience. ❤️
Debbie D — Google review
I'm sure people complain about the size of this zoo, but we saw a lot of animals and it didn't take 3+ hours to do it. Nobody's feet are tired, nobody got cranky, and we saw everything we came to see. We spent 90 minutes here for 33$ and it was definitely worth it. Besides the small gift shop, they're not bombarding you with places to spend money like other zoos I've been to. There's not a food stand and bubble blowers for sale every ten feet to grab your kids attention which I appreciated. Some of the habitats were a bit small, I do think they could work on some expansions. Staff was friendly and told us about animals without any prompting. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday from 11:00AM-12:30PM which was a nice surprise. My daughter enjoyed the animal track library, we haven't seen something like that before. I liked all the big cats. The lemurs were very entertaining- the most active animals we saw for sure. I think we'll visit again sometime.

Small but good. Took less than an hour to see everything but lingered to hear the zoo staff talk and to feed the llamas. Beautifully set above Lake Samamish and lots of stunning animal art. Enjoyed but likely a one time visit.
Desiree W — Google review
Small, well kept zoo. The white Bengal tiger was the gem. Some empty pens. Ability to feed some animals was fun! Signage was a little confusing pointing to different areas. Some hills, so if you are on wheels, expect a little workout.
Brandy W — Google review
It is a small zoo, but calm and not overcrowded. My favorite animals were cougars. Definitely don’t want to see one of those on a trailhead anywhere near or above me. They also have a pack of wolves in the upper part of the zoo. Beautiful animals.
Marta S — Google review
We went here on a Saturday around 2-3pm and it was rather busy. Parking was a bit difficult to find but you will find them since they have extension parking down the hill. The park itself is not big, so if you wait a bit you will see people leaving the park and you can wait for them to get their parking spot. They have some cool animals to see. Cougars, reindeers, wallaby, alpacas, tigers, wolves, emu, lemurs and many more. You can feed a few of them like the reindeer, alpaca, and wallaby. They have some beautiful Macaw birds too! You can purchase a small cup of the apples to feed them for $2 each, they also have a coin vending machine for some animals too Tickets are also not too expensive. Expect to spend 1-2 hour tops when you visit here. For the food option, I didn't see a restaurant or anything, I did see some vending machines there. I would recommend eating beforehand or afterwards. Bring your own snacks if you are traveling with little ones!

Family friendly Animal sanctuary in service since 1972. Great place to let the little ones explore different animals up close. There is a Tiger, 3 cougars, a lot of Macaws, 3 Wolves, and tons of other animals like Wallabies, Alpacas, etc. Close to downtown Issaquah, so easy to access from the 90. Parking can be tight, but there is always a flow of traffic.
David S — Google review
What a beautiful facility. The Tiger and the sloth were both sleeping so I’ll have to come back! The wolves and cougars and lemurs were our favorites. It was fun to have the big cats so close you could hear them purr. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We got there rather late in the day and only had an hour and a half but we did manage to see everything and even spend some extra time with the animals. Highly recommend!

Angle Lake Park

Nature & Parks
This green space with a lake offers amenities such as a boat launch, playground & water spray park.
Very pretty park with so much to offer. A mini trail with some nice inclines, plenty of outdoor hibachis, for the kids a water spout park and a jungle gym, a mini beach and swimming area in the lake and lots of pavilions for picnicking. Great views of the lake!

Engle Lake Park is located on international Boulevard in close proximity to SeaTac airport. The park is very well-maintained and offers numerous amenities, including park benches, barbeque area and the nearly gale lake with a nice dock. There is plenty of free parking as well. Good place overall

I love the view, the quietness, and overall the green and blue. Very peaceful park that even you have places to grill and barbecue. You can bring your food and just sit there and be in peace.

Really great option close to SeaTac and hotels. Extensive play area and splash pad. Lifeguard staffed in the summer from 12pm in summer. Observe wildlife and information about trees on the adjoining nature trail. Let your kids chase the geese. Picnic shelters and ample grassy areas for playing and relaxing.

This afternoon we visited a splash pad and small park #anglelakepark in SeaTac where the kids LOVED running around, although it was a fairly cool day so they were shivering and glad to dry off on the play structure.

Angle Lake Park is a pretty park near the SeaTac airport, and as its name suggests, there is a L-shaped lake next to the park area. It seems people enjoy swimming and similar activities in summer time, but for travelers like me, this pretty park is ideal to stroll for refreshing in the morning before departure. I usually do it when I stay hotels near the SeaTac airport.

This is a great park with alot of covered picnic areas as well as a swimming area, dock & kids water spray park! Nice restrooms with showers for after swimming. The only exception why I gave it 4/5 stars is sometimes the swimming area is closed due to contamination of the water and the park has not posted signs about it multiple times. So please check the website first for the most up to date info on water safety. I was just there last weekend & it should have been closed for the E-coli warning online but no signage & there were a couple kids in the water. I informed the parents immediately.

The Museum of Flight, located in the Seattle suburb of Tukwila, is a renowned private aerospace museum within King County International Airport. It was established in 1965 and has grown to become the world's largest private aerospace museum, drawing over 500,000 visitors annually.
Amazing museum! A huge variety of aircraft and space exhibits, from historic warplanes to Air Force One, the Concorde, and even the Space Shuttle trainer. They even have the world’s very first Boeing 747 on display! The place is well-organized, spacious, and truly a must-visit for anyone who loves aviation or just wants a unique experience. Highly recommend! ✈️
Saleh B — Google review
Simply amazing and a not to be missed museum if you are around Seattle area. This is a true treat for anyone with a slight interest in aviation. The museum has so much to offer and if you really want to get the most out of your visit then please do block at least 4 hours to visit the entire place. The museum has a huge free parking lot which is super convenient. The tickets can be purchased based online or at site. There are four major sections where you can see and experience different air crafts. The best is the one across the road where you can actually walk in to larger planes such as the Concord, older Air Force one, and the Jumbo 747s. There are other sections where you can see the first Boeing jets, older and existing fighter jets, visit the control tower. There is red barn area where the history of the Boeing factory is displayed.also they have a few dedicated areas for space program and associated shuttles developed by Boeing. There is a section for the world war era planes and a lot of history depicted. There is a gift shop and restaurant as well. Highly recommend a visit to this

Great collection of (historical) planes, and all kind of info from the (history) of flight and space travel up the artistic Mig21-project. Uniquely located besides Boeing Airfield and Inclusive the Pavilion hangar several ( big); planes with several of them accesable. You actually should stay more than a day.

This is a must see in Seattle. Tons of exhibits, cool full motion flight simulators, and an amazing gift shop. Pros: Tons of aircraft from all over the world. Contains some insane collections. You are able to enter most planes, like the first 747, the Concorde, a US Air 737-200, Air Force one, and a Boeing 787-8. Flight simulators are very fun as they are full motion. Gift shop has an incredible selection of model planes and other items. Guided tours are available to you for no cost. Cafe food is amazing, with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Parking lot is great for planespotting at KBFI. Cons: Some planes are inaccessible, which is rather disappointing. I was hoping to be able to see the interior of the United 727 and the NASA 737-100. Unfortunately, the upper deck of the 747 is also closed, which is a small disappointment. Flight simulator is understaffed so it takes a while to enter. Also, for the museum being all about Boeing, there were no airliner simulators, which I found disappointing. The museum is geared more towards the public fascination with fighter jets and tends to forget about the airliners. (Not to say there weren’t any, there were plenty). Not the museum’s fault, but it is a shame that you cannot see the Boeing test aircraft from the ground. Definitely recommend visiting.
Brixton G — Google review
The collection is excellent and very well documented. The obvious star of the show is across the bridge at the outdoor displays! The walk through aircraft are well set up, and the docents were knowledgeable and polite. It's an awesome experience to physically be in something like the concord or an old air force one. Definitely worth the ticket price and parking was easy.
Jon — Google review
It's a place worth visiting, especially if you are an aviation fan, you will feel very magical. Seeing your favorite plane appear in front of you, you will feel very emotional. You will feel that time flies in it. Whether you bring your family or friends, it is worth coming here. Highly recommended.😍😁

The Museum of Flight in Seattle is a fantastic destination for aviation enthusiasts, but it urgently needs more Mandarin Chinese audio guides and on-site interpretations. Our group of 10 Chinese visitors recently explored the museum and were disappointed to find a lack of adequate Mandarin services. Given the growing number of Chinese tourists and local Chinese residents interested in aviation history, providing comprehensive Mandarin explanations is not only necessary but also crucial to enhancing the visiting experience for Chinese-speaking guests. We sincerely hope the museum can address this gap to make its amazing collections and exhibits more accessible to the Chinese community.

This museum has everything when it comes to flying/airplanes. Lots to see! The collection of aircraft was impressive from historic warplanes to modern jets, each exhibit was well-maintained and had informative displays. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections and flight simulators, which added a fun hands-on experience. Definitely a worthy experience!

Nature & Parks
The Paradise Valley Conservation Area Parking and Trail Head is a natural park that features wetland, stream, and forest environments. Visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing as well as hiking and biking. The park receives a rating of 4 stars due to its accessibility and interesting habitat - it offers a fun place for exercise while feeling out of town. Multi-use trails are available, but they tend to impede the experience for all users.
Great place to hike for the whole family. Mainline trail is wide and easy, you can take a jogging stroller. Other trails are well kept as well. Beautiful trees and shrubs, not too hot in summer, a lot of bikes and hikers with dogs, but everybody is friendly and nice. Parking lot can be full on weekends. Picnic area is not too far from entrance.

Beautiful, family friendly hike. Flat walk on a well maintained trail. Lots of greenery, lots of tree cover, not muddy and we spotted some slugs. We did this hike on a weekday while wearing our 7-month old baby. Passed around half a dozen people, including mountain bikers and dog walkers. Free parking.
Gia P — Google review
Beautiful trails that are clean and well groomed. Clear signage to guide you through the forest. Study the map in advance as the trail difficulty is not marked and you want to be sure you don’t over-extend yourself. I especially like that the trails are clear where bikes and horses are allowed (or not) so all users can enjoy the area. Large parking lot allows many people to access the area. Clean and well cared for with a sanikan.

This place was a great, short, not flat, but small elevation trail. There were several bike trails for the off trail riders with some pretty cool ramps if you're into that. I plan on bringing my two grandkids for this hike soon. They will love it!!!

Great loop. Saw some bikers riding and this trail looks really fun with bikes. You can also do: Walking your pets, great for a jog. Did the walking hike and it was good. Not to long and not to short. You can choose which path you like for duration. Got to watch out for bikers as they can cruise fast for the general path.

Great neighborhood getaway place, popular for hiking, mountain biking, trail running. I like to use this place for running on a hot day, as most of the areas are in the dense forest with good shade. The trials were maintained very well in summer, not too much in winter (as lower foot traffic).

The Seattle Great Wheel is a popular attraction for tourists, offering breathtaking views of the city's landmarks from its climate-controlled gondolas. Rising 175 feet above the ground, it provides a mesmerizing 360-degree view of Seattle, especially stunning during evening hours when the city lights up. Situated on the waterfront alongside restaurants and shops, this giant Ferris wheel offers a romantic and unforgettable experience.
The Seattle Great Wheel was such a fun experience! The views of the city skyline, Elliott Bay, and the mountains were absolutely breathtaking. The ride felt smooth and safe, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a perfect way to see Seattle from a new perspective, whether you’re visiting for the first time or a local enjoying a day out. Highly recommend it, especially around sunset!

The Seattle Great Wheel is one of the best attractions on the waterfront! The ride offers incredible panoramic views of Elliott Bay, downtown Seattle, and the Olympic Mountains—especially beautiful at sunset or after dark when the wheel lights up. Each gondola is enclosed and climate-controlled, so it’s comfortable no matter the weather. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the whole experience feels safe and well-run. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the views and memories make it totally worth it. Whether you’re a local showing off the city or a visitor exploring for the first time, the Seattle Great Wheel is a must-see landmark!
Ajit K — Google review
Little pricey, but it's a tourist destination so the wife and I had to do it while visiting Seattle and cheaper than Navy Pier. We went around 5 rotations allowing you to take in all the sights and plenty of time for pictures. Your group is able to get a cabin to yourselves, up to 6, which is nice for some time away from other tourists. We all know how that can be.
Casey G — Google review
The Seattle Great Wheel is a fun experience and a great way to see the city from a new angle. The views of the waterfront and mountains are awesome, especially at sunset. The ride feels smooth and safe, and the cabins are surprisingly comfortable. It is a bit pricey for how short the ride is, but you’re really paying for the view and the novelty of it. Overall, it’s a solid 4-star stop if you’re exploring the pier.
Andrew H — Google review
I visited in mid-October so there was not much of a line. We bought tickets at the venue and waited about 25 minutes before stepping onto the wheel. This is located right on the pier and gives you a good view of Puget Sound and the Market Place areas of Seattle. We were a little surprised by how fast the wheel turned, but we did go around 5 times before exiting the attraction. We had clear skies and mild temperatures on the day we were at the Seattle Great Wheel. The views were stunning and the value for the ride was worth the price of admission. We paid $23 per adult. The individual cars can fit up to six people; we were fortunate to have only the two of us in the car.
Paul C — Google review
Go at sunset for a fun evening activity! We wanted to watch the sunset from the great wheel, and it was super easy to walk up grab a ticket and hop on. The line definitely got longer the closer to sunset it got so make sure to be a little earlier for timing. The views were stunning and we got to go around for a while.

The Gum Wall, located in an alley under Pike Place Market, is a unique and somewhat gross attraction that has been accumulating used chewing gum since the 1990s. Visitors can explore the market's different levels, sample various foods, and visit nearby attractions like the World Famous Giant Shoe Museum and the original Starbucks before venturing to see this unusual mural.
The fact that tens of thousands of people, from all over the country and all over the world, have added to something so simple and typically innocuous, simply blows my mind with the sheer magnitude of its size. I loved how people were getting creative with such a simple act, and random strangers were interacting so friendly, helping each other take photos and being polite, when excusing themselves out of the way of a photo being taken. There's a poster wall that adjoins it, which is equally as fascinating with its local and national take on socioeconomic politics as well as general life happenstances. I probably got just as much culture in Post Alley than a pop-up or small museum! Plus, I'm a people watcher, so seeing the interactions was a big part of the experience. I love seeing people happy, and helping each other out, even if they can't communicate through native languages!
Wesley A — Google review
Ya gotta to the gum wall! I can't remember when I fist hears about this rather disgusting urban phenomenon but I've always wanted to see it up close! I had a 7 hour layover at the Seattle Airport and thought, whelp let's go to the gum wall. In a dingy and dirty alleyway below Pike Place Market lies a collective art project of walls filled with gum. Apparently this started in the 90's and has been around every since. It's kinda iconic and it's definitely one of a kind. Since I am in the business of one of a kind adventures, this was absolutely worth the stop. Find out about other wonderfully quirky places through my websites or on socials.

Another unmissable Downtown Seattle attraction. This famous wall is located right below the Pike Place market in the Post Alley, and actually starts right below the big Farmer Market sign of Pike Place Market. As soon as you enter the alley you can smell the chewing gum flavor all around. Everything is covered in shewed up chewing gum including the walls, railings, and even the utility supply meters. It’s a tradition to stick a gum on these walls when you are here. A must visit spot.
Avais S — Google review
While visiting Seatle I had the opportunity to visit The Seatle gum wall. I enjoyed the graffiti ( which I feel is a work of art through out the city) the gravitational led to the gum wall. The gum wall is gross yet beautiful. It was larger then anticipated with different segments of gum. The room had a distinguished smell to it.... a cross between juicy fruit gum and spearmint. You need to see it to experience its glory...
Cindy M — Google review
Ummmm, I don't know what to say. It's a cross between gross and street art. On one hand it's beautiful and on the other hand, what the hell is going on. LOL. It was hard for us to find because it's actually under the Pike Place Market. Google has a problem when we tried to show us the street view because it only shows the subway, I'm assuming because it's on the lower elevation. Regardless, its very confusing. It's under the shops with the big sign that says Public Market Center (with a clock) down below, next to Market Theater. BTW - I don't think the city likes the gum because it covers all the meters and pipes. LOL-I'm putting gum on my meter at home hopping they won't see how much I use.
Aaron B — Google review
I really enjoyed visiting the Gum Wall in Seattle! It’s such a fun and quirky spot tucked away in Post Alley near Pike Place Market. The colorful wall is full of gum from people all over the world — it’s weird in the best way possible and definitely something you don’t see every day. The atmosphere is lively with people taking pictures, laughing, and just having fun. It’s also a short walk from so many other cool spots — Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and great food options nearby. If you go, make sure to bring a pack of gum so you can leave your mark, too! It’s one of those must-see Seattle landmarks that’s both a little gross and totally awesome at the same time. I’d definitely recommend stopping by for the experience and a few colorful photos.
Selena A — Google review
I found this place by accident. It's located on an abandoned-looking building in an alley below the Pike Street market. As soon as you arrive, you smell the faint hint of old sugar from a million or so chewed gums. The patterns & colors are pretty impressive up close. It's gross, nasty coolness. The ones on the window sill have a dripping effect that adds to the texture. There were a bunch of confused honey bees trying to pollinate the gum. The only other place I've seen something similar though on a much, much smaller scale is on an overpass in Venice, Italy walking from the pier into the city. And no, I didn't add to the artwork. Maybe I will next time.
Maui T — Google review
A weird yet wonderful collection of gum. It was so funny to wander through this alley and see the years of chewing gum plastered across the walls. Some folks got creative and formed their gum into a design or word, while others just pressed theirs into place. I think this could be a fun activity for kids if you picked up a pack of gum and some hand sanitizer first. Made me smile knowing mankind had come together over the years to participate in the gross but fun collaborative art project. Do not buy tickets, this is a 100% free activity.

Pike Place Fish Market is a renowned stall in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market, where fresh fish has been sold for decades. The market offers a wide variety of goods, from flowers and artisan crafts to fresh produce and seafood. One of the main attractions is the playful atmosphere at Pike Place Fish Market, where employees toss fish to each other while singing and yelling. This unique tradition has made the market famous and entertaining for visitors.
A great experience!! We've wanting to go here for decades. It's a great market with a lot of fish to choose from. We bought crab legs and fish cakes and grabbed, what turned out to be our best souvenir from our trip to Seattle....their oyster shooters for $7. Keep the shot glass, it also has a lid!! We went back 2 days later for another souvenir!! If someone buys a whole fish you'll see them throw it!! Might be right over your head!!! We loved this place and enjoyed the crabs and fish cakes for dinner!

A great place to visit but I skipped the food experience because of the lines! I loved walking through the alleys and especially the flowers! The market was buzzing with food, culture and my favorite sight: seafood! Everybody seemed nice and know customer service! Not too expensive while I was browsing and the walk to the overlook way was a plus! I loved that while you walk to the market you can see through the lake!

We were visiting Seattle from Nashville for business and had a few free hours to be tourists. Several people suggested we check out Pike Place Fish Market, and it was an amazing experience! The weather was fantastic, and the atmosphere felt a bit like a lively, open-air flea market — full of unique shops and friendly vendors. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. We sampled honey, jellies, olive oils, fruits, and even fish! Everything was so fresh and delicious. We couldn’t resist buying several of the local goodies to take home. The hot cider was especially good and perfect for sipping as we wandered through the market. We even got to experience them yelling and throwing fish around which I suppose is special to the market. If you’re visiting Seattle, we definitely recommend stopping by Pike Place Market. It was the perfect way to spend a few free hours and made our short trip feel extra special!

A unique experience in an iconic location, the sights, smells and overall vibe was outstanding. As a tourist you get a rare opportunity to feel local while walking through the market with all the hustle and bustle. Definitely worth the stop, though I would highly recommend using the restroom either before or after visiting Pikes Place as the lines to enter the few public restrooms were insanely long.
Justin B — Google review
This was a very cool attraction in Seattle! It’s very packed but I loved the smell of fresh produce and sea food. Lots of places to see around the market with plenty of vendors to check out. There’s also a little alley directly next to the market where people have been putting up gum on the walls for year. It’s another popular attraction in the area and the city makes sure to keep it checked before it gets too messy! If you’re visiting Seattle I would recommend this market for sure in your itinerary.

Located on Pier 59 along Elliott Bay, the Seattle Aquarium is a popular waterfront destination offering interactive exhibits and virtual reality shows. As a non-profit organization, it serves as the premier resource for marine experiences and conservation education in the Pacific Northwest. Visitors can explore the diverse sea life of the region while learning about conservation efforts through various educational programs. The aquarium provides an exciting way to discover more about Puget Sound and the world's oceans, making it a must-visit indoor attraction in Seattle.
We enjoy our time in Ocean Pavilion/Seattle Aquarium. As parking can be really expensive in downtown Seattle, we parked for free in West Seattle( near Seacrest Ferry Dock ) and took Water taxi to Pier 50 in Downtown Seattle and then just walked about 10 min. To Seattle Aquarium. As other people mentioned it’s very small and need remodeling but you still can see different kinds of fish, birds, mammals , pools where you can touch those marine creatures and etc. and stuff is very knowledgeable; they can answer your questions and educate you about marine life. Kids under 3 free of charge and they have different discounts and programs for WA residents that you can find on their website or staff can explain it you too.

Seattle Aquarium is a spot I like to visit when i travel to Seattle. It’s so pretty inside the building! The animals look like they’re healthy and are treated well. I believe my biggest issue with the aquarium is the fact that there’s not really a lot to see even with the Ocean Pavilion added onto the price. A lot of the stuff that they have is really cool and fun. You get to touch some of the animals as well. But it doesn’t seem like the quantity of animals equal the price of admission. I understand having to keep the aquarium funded. However, $80 for two people is just so much especially when there’s not a lot to do. Lastly, I will say, for the most part, the staff were nice however, others were a little interesting. We entered the building because the front door was open and we walked in. Multiple employees looked at us, but didn’t say anything so we didn’t think anything of it. Until one of them with a little bit of a raise voice said “oh we’re not open yet”. It was literally 30 seconds till opening. I can understand not wanting to have anyone in there but at the same time we could wait in the line until it was officially opened. It was very odd and rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, go on a weekday, it’s cheaper. Because the usual price is $100 or more for two people.
Samantha F — Google review
Awesome! The aquarium has two parts. In one, you can have an interactive experience and touch the sea urchins and other things. You can also see some jellyfish and other pretty small animals. In the other park, you can see some sharks and whales and seals and stingrays. When you are entering, you may see a large tub of whales and other large aquatic animals above you. Overall, this is a very, very, very, VERY good aquarium!

Such a wonderful place! The ocean pavilion is incredibly well designed, watching all the fish in the large tank is such a fun experience. I enjoy the touch pool area where you get to interact with the sea creatures. The octopus is very fun, I recommend going to the 11am feeding. He gets very active then. I had a lot of fun by the closer look table where you get to see microscopic creatures in the water they take right from the pier! Who knew baby barnacles were so cute.

We visited the Seattle Aquarium around noon on a Wednesday so it wasn't super crowded. When you first enter, there is an interactive experience where you can dip your hands into a tidepool and touch sea urchins, starfish etc. Around the same area are exhibits for jellyfish and an octopus. Further in, you can view larger animals such as otters, seals, sharks, stingrays etc. However, we were sadly unable to see any harbor seals or river otters as the habitats were empty. After all the exhibits there are 2 gift shops with various souvenirs but the plushies were really cute! Overall, I'd say we had a relatively good experience and might visit again at a later date.

Octopus Marine Otters and the Aqua dome are the best part in the original building. The new pavilion across the street is great. Some of the fish in the aqua dome seemed a bit haggard. Sticker selection in the gift shop was tragic. If you are on the waterfront doing downtown seattle activities for the day this is a great first stop or a cool place to chill out after walking in the sunshine all afternoon!
Joshua C — Google review
The Seattle Aquarium was a really fun stop on the waterfront. The staff were friendly and clearly cared about the animals, and the octopus and Underwater Dome were the big standouts for me. The new Ocean Pavilion looks great too and adds a nice mix of tropical fish. It does feel a little small for the price, and it can get packed pretty quickly, but overall it’s a solid few hours well spent. I’d call it a strong 4-star experience.

It has been many years—decades, in fact—since I last visited Seattle’s Aquarium, and it has transformed into a truly impressive destination. My husband, experiencing it for the first time, was just as amazed as I was. The exhibits were fascinating, though the popularity of the attraction meant the crowds were dense, with people nearly stepping on each other as they explored its wonders. There were countless awe-inspiring moments observing the marine life—even before entering the aquarium. Looking up, you could see fish gliding gracefully overhead, setting the stage for the incredible experiences inside. It was truly captivating! If you decide to visit the Aquarium, be prepared for a bit of sticker shock. However, it’s important to remember that your admission fee directly supports marine life preservation, research, recovery, and animal care. In my opinion, it’s money well spent for such a meaningful cause. So, go there and have a great time learning about our local marine life and seeing some truly incredible creatures! Seattle Aquarium is just past The Seattles Wheel, 1483 Alaskan Way Pier 59, Seattle, WA. Just look for the Wheel, and the Aquarium is about a block and a half past it! I always say “Please be kind to ALL things living 🐾 🌲 (this includes marine life too 🦦 🐟 )

Ferries
Washington State Ferries is the largest ferry system in the United States, offering a picturesque way to explore Washington state. With 24 vessels operating from 20 terminals, it carries over 24 million passengers annually to destinations like Anacortes, Bremerton, Coupeville, and more. Travelers can board with their vehicles or opt for foot or bike access. The ferries provide stunning views as they traverse the Puget Sound and offer convenient connections to various islands and peninsulas.
The new ferry terminal is beautiful! What an upgrade!! The downtown ferries takes you to Bremerton or Bainbridge Island. You can also take the fast ferry to Bremerton that is just passenger only and the crossing is only 30 minutes vs an hour!!

I am shocked by the sheer amount of single use plastic being sold on board your ferries. What a negligent display of cognitive dissonance. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish—and yet for your water-dependent business you profit off of…all this?? We can and must do better. You could start by switching to aluminum canned water (infinitely recyclable) and phasing out single use plastics like these, completely. Your customer base is a captive audience—give them better, more dignified options. No more polluting the very ecosystems you operate within. Thank you for considering my feedback.

Great way to explore, drive onto Ferries and go check out the islands, also if you’re lucky you can see orca’s.

We really enjoy the Alki bakery items and soft pretzels offered on the ferries! For me, a good IPA is so good with the pretzels. The hot dogs and breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, too. Staff are also friendly and provide good service. Thanks and keep it up!

Disappointed in the front staff experience. During my recent ferry trip, the older white woman working at the front with the tickets was extremely unprofessional. She addressed my partner with friendliness — calling him “babe” — but said absolutely nothing to me, even though I was standing right there. It felt dismissive and low-key disrespectful. It’s 2025, and basic courtesy shouldn’t be selective based on who you are. Do better. This kind of behavior makes women feel invisible and uncomfortable — especially in mixed-race couples. I expected more.

Would be five stars, if not for Coupeville Terminal Staffers: SOOO RUDE. Otherwise, extremely grateful for this socialist service that ferries is from point to point:) [Pictures: M/V Puyallup, Edmonds-Kingston Run.]
Christopher R — Google review
The staff who help cars load on our ferries surely deserve a hearty shout out. They are incredibly effective at non verbal communicating: signaling clearly and emphatically what we need to do, especially those of us who are new to riding ferries. They give you plenty of heads up to get back to your car. Though a little extra time is always advisable if you’re on a particularly large ferry and don’t know the layout. If they see, wondering tourists going beyond the safety lines for photos of the skyline, they will politely but firmly bring them back in. Next time you see a ferry staff person, give them a wave and a smile and say thank you.

Space Needle

Observation deck
The Space Needle, a 605-ft-tall spire located at the Seattle Center, offers an observation deck and a rotating restaurant. It was built for the 1962 Worlds Fair and has since become an iconic symbol of the city. The tower's design combines elements of a giant balloon and a flying saucer, giving it a modern and futuristic look. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city, Puget Sound, and distant mountains from its observation deck.
A trip to the top of the Space Needle is, of course, a must if you are visiting Seattle. To make our visit smooth, we bought tickets online and reserved a time slot ahead of time. This was a great decision—when we got there during opening hour, the process was pretty easy. There was already a long line, but it moves fairly quickly. The elevator ride up the tower was quick and an interesting experience in itself (you'll know what I mean when you are there!). Once you reach the top, the view is simply amazing. There are several designated selfie spots around the observation deck, which are great for capturing the perfect shot. A key tip: do factor in the weather condition, as you can, of course, only see far into the distance if the weather is nice and clear. My favorite part was going down a floor to experience the revolving glass floor. You can get a feel of it by taking pictures lying or sitting down on the glass if you aren't afraid of heights. It was a thrilling and unique experience that made the visit even more memorable. It was great! Highly recommend planning ahead and enjoying this iconic Seattle landmark.
Jayne Z — Google review
Very cool attraction and the staff moves people on and off the elevators very efficiently. We happen to go on a beautiful afternoon at 5:30pm and saw a gorgeous sunset. It you have a fear of heights, this may not be for you. The elevator and floors at the top are glass! The view of Mt. Rainier was spectacular.
KSSW K — Google review
I recently visited the Space Needle in Seattle and had a really memorable experience. As someone who used the military discount, my ticket was $44, which made the admission a little more manageable compared to the standard price. Once you get to the top, the views are absolutely incredible—you can see the whole city, Mt. Rainier, and Puget Sound on a clear day. That said, it can get pretty crowded at the observation deck, so be prepared for some waiting and limited space during busy times. One important thing to know is that there’s no dedicated on-site parking for the Space Needle. The official website offers valet parking for $25, which is convenient but can be costly, especially if you’re already spending a lot on tickets. Otherwise, street parking in the area can be pricey and tough to find. I’d highly recommend using meter parking if you spot an open space—meters are actually free on Sundays, so that’s a good tip if you’re visiting at the end of the week! Alternatively, using apps like Way.com makes it easy to find and book nearby covered garage spots for as low as $10-$15, which is much cheaper than valet. Despite the costs and the crowd, the Space Needle is still a must-do for visitors to Seattle. The experience itself is world class and the memories are worth the planning. Just be sure to sort out parking in advance for less hassle and take advantage of discount rates whenever you can!

Visiting the Space Needle in Seattle was an incredible experience and honestly one of the highlights of our trip. We came on a foggy day, but the views were still amazing the skyline, the water, and all the buildings looked unreal from the top. The rotating glass floor is something you have to try. Standing on it and looking straight down is a feeling you can’t get anywhere else. The Space Needle is clean, well-run, and worth the price for anyone visiting Seattle. The staff was friendly, the lines moved fast, and the entire observation deck felt modern and safe. Whether it’s your first time in Seattle or you’ve lived here your whole life, the Space Needle gives you a completely different view of the city. If you’re looking for top things to do in Seattle, the Space Needle is absolutely a must-see. The views, the height, the rotating floor, and the photos you can take here are unbeatable. Our pictures came out beautiful even with the clouds and the whole experience makes you understand why this is one of the most famous attractions in Washington. Highly recommend visiting if you want stunning Seattle views, amazing photos, and a unique experience you won’t get anywhere else.

We had a very fun time going up. The view is spectacular. We talked about going up the newer, taller observation deck, but it was sold out, so we did the Space Needle. I was glad we did, it's set apart from the other tall buildings so I think you probably get a more interesting view. Plus it's iconic. I thought the rotating floor was fun. I would recommend reserving a time slot in advance. We went during the week in the morning and it wasn't too busy.

We checked this place out for sunset recently and had a great visit. The timeline of events leading up to the opening of the Space Needle as you wait in line for the elevator is pretty cool. The elevator ride to the top is quick, but offers great views. The employee riding with us was informative and funny. The views from the top are spectacular. We unfortunately didn’t have the best view of Mt. Rainier on this visit, but you could see a silhouette in the distance. It was a beautiful sunset that day and well worth the trip. Highly recommend.

We were a party of 4 adults and visited on a Thursday morning at 11 am. We all had a great experience and enjoyed our visit . Everyone should go once. They offer a military discount , but those tickets can only be purchased in person. The process to buy tickets and enter is easy. Grounds and interior spotless. The elevator ride to the top of the Space Needle is so fast we really didn’t see the city as we rode up. I felt there were too many people in the elevator at once. The views are spectacular and lots of seating inside and outdoors. There is a casual cafe and bar at the top. There’s not anything to do except walk around, look at the views, take pictures, buy snacks and drinks. We were done with our visit in 45 minutes , but stretched it to 90 minutes by buying drinks and sitting down and talking. There is a very expensive Resturant ($100 per person) at the top and we’d like to visit that at night on a special occasion. The gift shop is very nice .

The Space Needle is an absolute must-visit landmark in Seattle! The views from the top are breathtaking—you can see Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, the downtown skyline, and even the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges on a clear day. The glass floors and floor-to-ceiling windows make the experience feel modern and thrilling, and the rotating glass floor adds a really unique touch. The elevators are fast, the staff are friendly, and the exhibits inside give a great bit of history about the 1962 World’s Fair. It can get crowded, so it’s best to go early or at sunset for the best views and photos. A little pricey, but totally worth it for such an iconic Seattle experience!

The Museum of Pop Culture, located in Seattle, is a must-visit for anyone interested in music, pop culture, and science fiction. The museum showcases over 80,000 American artifacts including items from iconic musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin's bell-bottoms and Elvis Presley's leather jacket. Designed by Frank Gehry to resemble a smashed guitar, the ultra-modern building also features the Sky Church performance arena for concerts.
We had a blast. We loved all the exhibits, and especially the sound lab! This is a must visit place, for all ages. My favorite was 2nd floor with the sci-fi, fantasy and horror exhibits. The music church was a nice place to rest and soak in the music. In Sept 2025, the Black music exhibit was a special experience.

This is among the core attractions of Seattle as the museum provides great insights into music, movies, comics and associated culture. The exhibitions in the museum keep on changing and associated information is available on the website. Tickets can be purchased online as well as at the spot. The Museum is located in the Seattle Center area and is accessible by bus, mono rail, self driving, as well as the city tour hop on hop off tour bus. The music is closed each week on a Wednesday instead of Sunday. The museum has an interesting outlook as the building has a very futuristic and artistic outlook with buildings in various colors.

Museum was super cool. Lots of different genres of pop culture to experience (Fantasy, sci-fi, anime, music, video games, etc). There were some really fun interactive exhibits too (Indie video game and the Sound Lab). I really loved the Sound Lab and playing the instruments. The horror section was awesome as well. A very cool museum right next to the Space Needle. Definitely worth a visit if you're into pop culture. We went on a Monday. It never felt too busy. The staff was very friendly as well.

My oh my!! There are no words to describe this museum. You have to live it. Great exhibitions from music to movies. Amazing valuable artifacts belonging to great celebrities. The Jimmy Hendrix exhibition is amazing and If you are a fan of Nirvana you will be blown away. On the top floor you can experiment and learn musical instruments. I was amazed because there are individual boots where you can practice. Incredible! It is not cheap specially the souvenirs but is totally worth it. The location is great. It is near the Neaddle and there is a tram stop right beside it. Don't miss a photo with Chris Cornell statue. Save at least a morning to visit it.

I have visited MoPOP a couple of times and loved how immersive it the exhibits are! From iconic music history to sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and pop-culture moments, this museum has everything we all grew up with. Plus, the building itself is a piece of art, and you can easily spend 2–3 hours here without realizing it. If you enjoy music, movies, or anything nostalgic, MoPOP is absolutely worth a visit. Just be ready for crowds on weekends!

Very good exhibition on Jimmy Hendrix ! Was hoping for more on underground Seattle music from 80’. Great exhibition on horror movies and Science Fiction films. There was an exhibit on Asian comic culture, but I haven’t explored this one . The building itself is very impressive as is collection of the famous musician’s guitars 🎸

I had a very good experience, wish I could have had more time, but loved the Asian comics exhibition it was very interesting and has comics from different countries in Asia. The other exhibits were also very good, Fantasy, Terror and Science Fiction, q lot of original prompts from well known movies. had a very wonderful time with my family. One thing I didn't like at all was that in the shop they sell a lot of AI generated art in their t shirts... that was really disappointing.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a stunning museum and sculpture garden that showcases the breathtaking glass works of renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Chihuly has gained global recognition for his vibrant and expansive collection of glass blown creations spanning over five decades. The museum, located near the iconic Space Needle in Seattle Center, offers visitors an immersive experience with both indoor and outdoor displays of Chihuly's magnificent sculptures.
This glass exhibit was beautifully displayed. The lighting was superb to show the multiple colors of the glass. The gardens were easy to navigate too. I watched a glass blowing demonstration, which runs on a regular schedule. There's a bar inside with the most interesting decor. Great menu and drinks, my drink was $20, so it's pricy. I bought a museum and Space Needle combo ticket which made it definitely worth it. Would highly recommend.

We visited Chihuly Garden and Glass right after our trip up the Seattle Space Needle, and the convenience can't be beaten. The two attractions are located very close to each other, making it a perfect combo for a day at the Seattle Center. From the moment we stepped inside, I was totally astonished. The artwork displayed, made entirely from glass, is beyond impressive. The vibrant colors, the organic shapes, the dramatic lighting, and the massive, complex formations all combined to form a constant "wow" factor in every single room. It feels like walking through a magical, otherworldly garden. Be aware that it is a compact museum, so I can easily imagine how crowded the indoor galleries can get during peak busy seasons. We were there in October and found the conditions perfect—the crowds were manageable and the weather was ideal. Speaking of weather, the outdoor garden area is absolutely beautiful, with the glass sculptures intertwined with natural foliage. However, I do think anyone visiting in the summer might have a hard time enduring the heat there, as it's quite exposed. Our autumn visit provided the perfect climate to enjoy both the intricate indoor exhibits and the beautiful garden setting at a leisurely pace. A must-see for art lovers, but timing your visit can make all the difference.

It took us less than an hour to walk through, but every display was stunning and full of detail. One thing that really stood out to us was how clean everything was. The air felt spotless and there was no dust on or around the glass pieces, which was amazing to see. Outside, there was live glass blowing, and they were making vases while explaining the process. It was fascinating to watch, and the artists were great at interacting with the audience and answering questions. Overall, it was a short visit but very memorable and worth seeing.

This is a must stop when you’re in Seattle. You see some beautiful amazing glass art and there’s a beautiful garden outside that you can relax and enjoy. The garden is unique because it’s a combination of nature with glass art. I also truly enjoyed seeing the art made live. The artist was also explained the process, which was very educational. The souvenirs at the gift shop are beautiful but overpriced. I am so glad we just went before the time on our ticket because the glasshouse was closing at the time of our reservation due to a private event. They did not tell us this when we were purchasing the tickets online and I believe we paid the same price. Thankfully, we got there early and was able to see it. We also enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar there, where the service was great. This is definitely a great museum to see when you’re in Seattle.

The Chihuly Garden and Glass is absolutely stunning—one of the most beautiful and unique attractions in Seattle! Every exhibit is a masterpiece of color, light, and imagination. The glass sculptures are breathtaking, from the intricate indoor installations to the vibrant pieces displayed among the gardens. The Glasshouse itself, with its massive hanging sculpture and view of the Space Needle through the glass ceiling, is simply spectacular. The layout is easy to navigate, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and the gift shop is filled with beautiful keepsakes. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for something inspiring and peaceful, this is a must-see experience that captures the creativity and magic of Dale Chihuly’s work.

Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate art and design.

Amazing pieces. Seattle location has been on my list after visiting the St Pete location. The glass house and garden was gorgeous as well and enjoyed watching his work in the theatre. I watched the live glass blowing as well and it was so fun to watch. The bar was so cute with all his collections showcased. My only thing was I paid $20 for what tasted like a $6 happy hour premade margarita. Cocktail bars are cheaper and they are handcrafted. Regardless, the bartender and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend checking this museum out

An Amazing spot to get a clear panoramic view of Downtown Seattle. The best viewing point is located at the end of the park beyond the railing, and that is the spot to get best picture for Seattle Downton Background. This park is located in a residential neighborhood and must not be very comfortable for the residents as tourists swarm this spot. The place is easily accessible from downtown with a couple of buses number 2 and 13 that drop you off at a 4 minute walk. There are 8 city facing benches that allow a calm viewing. There are a couple of telescopes installed that can be used with coins. There are nice grass gardens and a unique sculpture as well. The park is dog friendly and short duration free street parking is available. This is also a good spot for a picnic on a nice day.

It is definitely one of the best spots to get an amazing view of the skyline and more. One should also walk up to the end of the road if you are around sunset time to view one of those awesome seattle sunsets. Definitely a beautiful view of the city. Worth going to. As far as a park goes, not really much of one besides the benches looking out. Just thin. So don’t expect a playground and trails and gazebos or anything. Haha. It’s all about the skyline view- and that’s perfect!

Ballard (Hiram M. Chittenden) Locks

The Ballard (Hiram M. Chittenden) Locks, also known as the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, are a significant part of the Lake Washington Ship Canal in Seattle. These locks connect Puget Sound to Lake Washington and Lake Union, allowing vessels to traverse between saltwater and freshwater bodies. Visitors can enjoy picnics at the adjacent Carl S. English Botanical Gardens and listen to live music performances on summer weekends.
We came here on a Saturday early evening in August after hearing about it from someone in line behind us at the space needle. This is a nice outdoor activity and area to see wildlife and boats go through the lock. They have a salmon ladder that is viewable from inside an informational area. We saw several blue herons, plenty of salmon, two small personal boats go through the lock and a couple sea lions. This was free. There is a nice walking path on both sides of the water. Parking was easy and also free. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the sun.

This was my first time visiting a navigation lock, and it was incredible to see. On one side, the water level is high, and on the other, it's low. When a ship arrives, the lock gates close behind it, trapping the vessel inside. The enclosed area is then filled with water from the high side, which lifts the ship up to match the higher water level. Once level, the front gates open, and the ship passes through. Many tourists were taking photos as the ship slowly rose with the rising water—it's an amazing sight. The lock acts like a bridge, allowing you to walk right across it and get a fantastic view of the river. It's a clever way for ships to pass between different water levels without having to go over a bridge.

Such a gorgeous place for a photoshoot! I honestly didn’t expect much when I first walked in, but within a few minutes I realized how picturesque it is. Ballard Locks has so many different spots, from stone benches that look straight out of a European city to vintage-looking street lamps and lush greenery everywhere. There’s water, bridges, beautiful plants, and even some palm trees. It’s such a unique mix of textures and colors that work perfectly for photos. Right in front of the park, there’s even an old abandoned railroad that adds a really cool, rustic vibe to the shots. I’ve attached a few examples from a photoshoot I did here so you can see how amazing it looks in pictures. The only downside is the geese; there are quite a few, so you’ll notice some geese poop around the park. Other than that, it’s an incredible location for portraits, couples, or family sessions. Highly recommend!

The locks were very cool. We got to watch a tugboat come from Puget Sound into the lake via the small channel. It was quite impressive how fast the channel filled to lake level. They allow you to walk across the locks gates to get a great view of the vessels entering and exiting. The fish ladder was closed. There is a public restroom that was well maintained. Along the walk we saw a Heron roost located in the trees, there must have been 15 to 25 nest.

A bit of a walk to the Locks but the area is beautiful and peaceful. Got to see the locks open and close for ships to pass through and that was brilliant. Seeing the salmon swim through the ladders was an experience - there's a viewing centre near the ladders that you could see the salmon swim through and on the occasion we were there there was a seal swimming around preying on the seal.

Great place to visit in Seattle for free. The area includes a fish ladder, botanical garden, visitor centre, boat crossing arrangements from fresh water lake to sea and vice versa. The design and construction was done many years ago and well maintained. Boat crossing view is wonderful where the water level is changing by opening and closing the gates.

Was in the area and was just hoping to get a nice walk in around the locks and the adjacent arboretum. Wow…this place is surprisingly interesting! I got a better understanding of a piece of our country’s vital infrastructure and learned much about inland waterways shipping and lock operations. Arboretum is nice, too. Didn’t expect to enjoy watching lock operations as much as I did!

This was such a beautiful and relaxing place to visit. It was interesting watching the locks and how they work. We were able to see the wild life and sit and enjoy the boats. They also had a beautiful garden to walk through and enjoy the beautiful flowers.

Nestled in the heart of Bremerton, the USS Turner Joy Museum Ship stands as a remarkable testament to naval history. Launched in 1958 and serving valiantly until its decommissioning in 1982, this Forrest Sherman-class destroyer played a significant role during the Vietnam War. Today, it has been transformed into an engaging museum where visitors can embark on guided tours lasting one to two hours.
Great self led tour! Perfect rainy day activity! If you are really into reading signage and descriptions, studying instruments, or just being on a boat in general this is a must. Please give yourself an entire day, there is so much to take in on the USS Turner Joy. There are displays of knot artwork, stories, letters, and you can see pretty much everything on this ship! You

An immense and majestic ship. Sadly, the Missouri is no longer here, as many people in Bremerton complained about 30 years ago, when it moved back to Hawaii, but this is nonetheless a brilliant ship to have here, attachment to the legacy of the United States Navy and the sheer artistry of building a grand colossus for the water. Spend enough time here to get a sense of scale. It is obvious without needing to be stated on a ship like this is big, but only by truly exploring it does one get a sense of how immense it truly is, how it operates like a little city, a beacon of movement and life amidst the vast dark seas. I also greatly appreciate the gift shop, which is reasonably priced and quite comprehensive. I always have trouble buying the right gifts for my dad, but I found the perfect Father's Day mementos for him here, as he adores naval history and is the one who first got me interested in the power and the beauty of ships like this.

I thought the self guided tour was great. There are docents available to answer any questions. The displays were helpful and much of the ship was open to tour.

Very worth a visit. The self guided tour is very thorough and informative. The majority of the ship is accessible to the public.

Friendly ans knowledgeable volunteers on the boat to answer questions, including some who spent a few years on the boat during its active duty time. It's well laid out self-guided tour ensures you don't miss anything and you really get a feel for life on the boat.

If you enjoy history and the military then it’s a must! My wife found it as we took a ferry from Seattle to Bremerton and then decided to drive around back to Seattle. Not crowded at all and a lot to learn especially the mechanical and engineering parts of it. Didn’t have time to see all of it as I needed to return my rental so I will need to revisit hopefully.

If you're in Bremerton WA, you have got to stop by this Ship/Museum. It is a self guided tour. There is some mild walking and climbing if you want to see everything. I learned alot here. Gift shop is top notch as well. You won't be sorry you stopped here on your way through.

Military Museums
The Puget Sound Navy Museum in Bremerton, Washington is a free museum that offers a fascinating look into the naval history of the Pacific Northwest region. With exhibits showcasing life on an aircraft carrier, submarines, and other aspects of naval heritage, it's a must-see for history enthusiasts and military buffs. The museum features both permanent and rotating displays with artifacts, photos, and more. Located centrally on the Kitsap Peninsula, it's easily accessible from other popular destinations in the area.
This place is amazing, a true hidden gem among us!! One of ten naval museums in the country, this 2-storey museum has some fascinating artifacts. It’s a very manageable size in terms of covering the space. Theres a nice corner for children to engage their curiosity. A big bonus - it’s free!! We donated to the museum, enjoyed ourselves at the gift shop. The hey have new exhibit that we couldn’t catch because tonight is the opening night.

An extremely pleasant free museum in the heart of Bremerton, an exhilarating testament to the naval history of the town and how it is interwoven with the history of the United States as a whole. Admittedly, the museum felt a little smaller than it probably was owing to the large group of schoolchildren who were here at the same time as me, but I'm not going to begrudge the kids their excitement, which felt very genuine, and they even adored the large typewriter on display as though it was a mystical treasure. As for me, I greatly appreciated the diving helmet, which felt so intricately made and tactile, a visceral emblem of a distant age made close by the enchantment of the museum. The discussions of what sailors have worn over time and the underlying social and military factors that led to those shifts was also fascinating. Like all museums that are worth exploring, it is a friendly meeting place of past and present, where the stories and episodes of the past are reinvigorated with life for the next generations.
Joshua F — Google review
This free museum offers a wonderful exploration of the history of the Bremerton Naval Yard and the ships both built, repaired, and overhauled there. Staffed by Navy veteran docents, the welcome is warm and the stories these national treasures have to tell of sea duty, the silent service (submarine dity), and daily life of seamen is in itself worth a visit. The museum is loaded with artifacts from the late 19th century through to today. For those with kids, there is an exploration room with activities and even a chance to try on navy clothing. Some exhibits are hands-on. The most fascinating for us was the piece of hull steel from the construction of a submarine, which was surprising in its weight and thickness. Of special note is the museum's exhibits from the nation's wars and conflicts, including the oitdoor monument score card of the Naval Yard's efforts WWII contributions to include repair of Battleships damaged and sunk at Pearl Harbor. Even more fascinating and enlightening is the contribution of women to the wartime work at Bremerton. There are restrooms available and a small gift shop. Well worth a visit for anyone traveling to, through, or living in the area.

A free and insightful American Navy museum. My family and I greatly enjoyed the information, pictures, and displays on offer for the public. I highly recommend visiting this site right by the Bremerton ferry location.

I've been to plenty of military themed museums, they've all been great. This one was just OK. We were really expecting much more, esp considering how big the building is. The USS Enterprise exhibit was decent, but again just expecting more. Other than a hat, there was nothing in the gift shop highlighting this museum. No PSNM stuff anywhere.

This was an unexpected find at Bremerton. Went for a joyride (ferry) on a sunny day and found this place. Nice piece of history, warm welcome by the staff and fairly nice and well-narrated collection. Overall, a must visit if you are in Bremerton.

Updated 05/20/23: I had a great chance to visit the museum again. The senior citizens up front are super helpful and amazing. They have locker rooms for your bags, and backpacks in front. I love coming back and back to this historical museum to re-learn about our awesome memorial history. This museum is above what I expected as a historical location. I had a lot of fun and an exciting journey to learn and discover sailors’ life and the establishment of the shipyard in the 1890s and contemporary world. There is no admission fee to enter, and its location is close to the ferry terminal. Everyone can check it out quickly when waiting for the ferry. I have been here two times and still feel great not only the museum’s contents but also the staff’s hospitality and friendliness.

This is an official US Navy Museum, free admission, located just outside the main gate to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard on the Bremerton waterfront. There is not parking nearby - you'll have to find a street spot up the road and walk down. Be conscious of the time limits for your parking, this museum can take a couple hours to work through and most of the parking is 2 hours max. Beware also that trying to drive down to the museum directly can easily result in ending up at the guard shack for the ferry - if that happens, just tell the guard you're there for the museum and they'll let you turn around. But you'll have to wait in line until you reach the shack... so just avoid it in the first place and do NOT continue on the road that passes the museum. Now, as far as the museum, it's ok. I have been three times and it's more interesting each time, but it still feels underwhelming compared to other navy museums like the undersea one in Keyport and the national one in DC, or the submarine force museum in Groton. There's plenty here to teach you about the shipyard itself, but not really that much on the navy... it's heavily local focused. There's also WAY too much reliance on text and photos, instead of primary artifacts. Some exhibits are literally just walls with works painted on them. That, to me, is unacceptable. The artifacts the museum has on display are, frankly, pretty boring too. Wooden patterns for chains and nuts and other assorted ship fittings, some helmets, some obscure and mundane snips, wedges, and other tools, a time clock, some signs, etc. The most interesting items are the bell from the Navy's first ammunition ship, USS Pyro, and the skylight from the old gunboat Nipsic that survived the Apra Harbor disaster and went on to be PSNY's original headquarters during construction of buildings ashore. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that there was nothing - not a single piece - of the famous battleship USS Washington on display anymore. The museum tells me the wheel and bell from that ship are in storage to go back to DC, which is stupid, since the namesake is the state of Washington. The only USS Seattle they have anything from is the Cold War-era replenishment ship, so nothing from the famous armored cruiser that served as the US fleet flagship in the 1920s and survived longer than any other ship of her type. Hugely missed opportunity. I understand the museum is going for interactivity, but the result of such a lack of artifacts is that many of the rooms feel empty other than the paint on the walls, and some of the exhibits just don't flow because they're all vertical-space. I continue to be disappointed in this place for this exact reason. The best exhibit overall is the Nimitz-class carrier exhibit upstairs, which definitely represents the features of that kind of ship well, and is informative and full of items from the John C. Stennis (CVN-74). The patrol boats exhibit, while interesting to read, is another huge miss when it comes to artifacts. A couple models, a boxed game, a couple badges, and a builder's plaque is all they could really muster here... meanwhile two of the ships shown in pictures on the wall were laying around like so much junk just three hours southwest in Astoria, Oregon. Sad they couldn't get some actual artifacts to support the exhibit. Overall, it's still an informative museum and is well maintained, so I can't consciously give it less than three stars. But I was definitely disappointed at the lack of actual navy items on display for being a navy museum. It just feels incoherent and empty unless you're either a/ totally unaware of anything navy and this is your first exposure to the topic or b/ really, really interested in the shipyard.

The Manette Bridge is a historic landmark in Bremerton, connecting the city to the Manette neighborhood over the Port Washington Narrows. Standing at 82 feet above the water's surface, this iconic bridge has a rich history dating back to 1930. Before its construction, transportation between Bremerton and Manette relied on a ferry service. The bridge offers picturesque views of the city's skyline and waterfront.
Always loved Manette and the bridge is beautiful ❤️

This bridge, built in 2011, replaced the historic Old Manette Bridge (c. 1930s). The new bridge has a very nice wide sidewalk for pedestrians. Great views to the north, south and west.

The Manette Bridge is one of my favorite bridges because it's traditional construction, great view, padestrean walkway, and overall ambiance. The 4th of July Bridge Blast is great! You can watch an air show of loops spirals and dives. The fireworks were unique. My favorite was the waterfall of fireworks over the bridge into the water!

A somewhat like an arts district or local community based businesses, arts, small bar, 5★ gormete fine dining offering all the class, and finest of cooking that a high end fancy expensive restaurant could offer, but with a warm friendly close to home and and affordable, they treat you as a close friend and not a "order ticket" they are real people to people, not overly packed, and the attonsphere is lay back and rolls with the flow, if you like gormete kinda meal, or prefer good ol American home cooking, a salad, a drink or you like a nice wine and something that couples well with it, hound and bottle, they also help in the community and have been generous to many missions, shelters, animal resuses etc, they actively are committed to make a diffence, caring is an action not an expression to describe a feeling as of where you stand or personal regards, I have been helped many times and I am so thankful and blessed to have know the owner many years, also there is more(I am not as accounted but I am sure these to also do for community as well, they are all tightly nit and no one's a stranger definitely as neighbors should be) the bakery Sabatore awesome European style treats very very heavy, heavy ingredients heavy in weight, they make every thing from scratch all but stone ground the grain and flour they also have excellent sandwiches and salads, I don't know the menu to well or what the treats are called ( I discovered them from the dumpster behind the Nannette ahhh don't tell and hey don't judge you have no idea the weight in treasures, gold, gems, and wow) just check em out, the store... And Kristie and larys they have been standing sting through the years all others have come and went but they still stand today and also the best doughnuts and pastries (truth stand the test if time) hey they are still here.. go early, they are regularly sold out within a few hours and close long before the hours posted. Also sisters jewelers, local and definitely original, not mass produced like the other places.. the boatshed I haven't eaten there but anything that stands strong against low tide and sewer treatment close by (safe distance) and people not only still come to dine, not only taking up the seats outside as they go first but the come in mobs and crowds and I imagine probly a wait list? Or restoration on busy times? That's gotta be some serious good cooking, oh and it's on the water and you can come in by boat.

The Manette bridge is one of 2 bridges that cross Port Washington Narrows. Connecting the community of Manette to downtown Bremerton. The original Manette bridge opened on June 21, 1930 and closed July 24, 2011. The bridge was a steel truss bridge with a length of 1,573 feet. The new bridge is constructed of concrete. The museum offers an interactive learning experience for all ages, allowing children to discover how animals camouflage themselves and learn about their diets.
The museum is free! There was no wait time and even though parking was a bit awkward, there was plenty of spots. There were a few dead bugs including butterflies and hissing roaches but overall the animals had large enough tanks and looks well fed. I loved the information signs and there was an area with books, toys and other fun items for people who love bugs and reptiles.

It's a very small "museum" with a sampling of bugs and a few reptiles. Our experience wasn't a great one but it's free so we can't really complain! The guy at the cash register had absolutely no information, wasn't able to answer any questions and barely looked up from his phone the entire time we were there, only to ring up our gift shop purchases. The kids enjoyed it for the first 10 minutes then quickly got bored and were ready to leave. It's super clean and the bugs and reptiles all looked healthy and content. Also, the information provided is great and having the names of each creature is a nice touch. A bit better customer service is all it would take!
Cindy P — Google review
Was my family’s first time visiting. It was cool at first seeing all the animals. But once we realized how small their habitats were, it made us leave. They keep them really clean, but they are in the smallest habitats ever.

We had fun at this little museum! It's self walk through. Plenty of fun facts and information on the critters they do have. I wish it was more! But I loved all the bugs that were kept in shadow boxes. They're all so unique. Be sure to donate so they can keep it open! There's a QR code inside as well as a little donation bucket.

The Grandson had a ball showing his Grandpa, who HATES spiders, all the creepy crawly and slithering things. A bit tight, and you really have to watch your little ones, and they have no public bathroom. Not the best for a place for kids in that respect. The tanks for most of the critters just made me sad. There was a Turtle that kept staring at the fake scenery on the back of his tank and I almost cried. Id have enjoyed, as im sure the replites would, if there were real plants instead of artificial. The snakes had to slither over some parts that were a bit sharp. The snakes had very little room , and the ant farm wall was piled with dead ants. It's huge and we saw 3 ants moving. So sad. There were also a few dead butterflies on the floor of their display. Great free fun time for the public, not so great for the critters. Doubt we'll go back.
Shauna R — Google review
Terrible care of their animals. All of the reptiles are in way to small of enclosures. I could visibly see the mites on the poor snakes. Two ball pythons were in the same enclosure together which should never be done. No heat could be seen on any of the animals. And the guy at the guy at the counter was nice but didnt seem like he knew any better. Was told they have been there over 14 years. You should know better after that long.

Probably the best WWII aircraft / equipment (and *the* best free admission) museum I've ever been to. For a museum with free admission, both the variety and preservation level of the machines there are just astounding. If you're in the Seattle area, you owe yourself a visit. And please give yourself plenty of time, they close at 4pm!

We have passed by this gem many times traveling I-5 and not stopped, yet this time we said let's give it an hour and try it. IT WAS AMAZING. My husband has been to many air and war museums and this one had him in awe with quality and quantity of flyable planes from across the countries as well as the tanks and other land combat vehicles. The information and displays are well done and the care and pride of the foundation and volunteers shows through. AND IT IS FREE. Go see it.

This a must stop for the military and history enthusiast. I can’t say enough good things about this museum. The staff are friendly and very willing to answer questions. The thing that I liked most was how they had the history of planes tied right back to the pilot that flew it. It made the plane not just a piece of history, it makes the history of the plane personal. The museum is free admission

Overall, I highly recommend this site to anyone interested in aviation. It’s a truly extraordinary place that combines education, excitement, and the chance to witness an impressive feat of engineering firsthand. Whether you’re a casual admirer or a dedicated airplane buff, this visit will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression.

This was honestly one of the most overrated experiences imaginable. Although I’ve heard people say it might have been better years ago, in its current state it’s awful. The tour started with a short video about the founder of Boeing, which was actually very interesting. Unfortunately, that was the highlight. From there, we boarded a bus to the factory, only to go down one set of stairs, then another, and stand in line multiple times before finally taking an elevator up to the viewing area. When we got there, absolutely nothing was happening in the factory. Our tour guide seemed incredibly discombobulated, barely offered any real explanations, and came across as both uninformative and a bit on the creepy side. I honestly thought this was just the beginning of the tour, but it turns out that was it—we immediately went back down the elevator, back on the bus, where we got a bunch of useless information that didn’t add much of anything. We ended up right back at the gift shop, which made the whole thing feel like it was designed more to sell merchandise than to actually show or teach us anything meaningful. We also visited the museum afterwards, which was just as underwhelming. There wasn't much going on, and you'd think we'd at least be able to sit in a cockpit or get close to an aircraft, but even that was missing. Honestly, they should rethink everything about this tour from the ground up-especially considering the price they're charging, not to mention the extra cost of getting there and back. Just a side note, there is a rooftop where you could watch the shared runway, which would be fun. But unfortunately, when we were there, it was not very active. Overall, a huge disappointment. Save your time and money.

I recently took the Boeing Factory tour near Seattle with my mom, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The service was fantastic, our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions and sharing fascinating insights about the manufacturing process. The tour includes a guided bus ride around the factory grounds, offering an amazing view from the upper deck where you can take in the scale of the massive facility. The lower deck exhibits were also impressive, showcasing the history and technology behind Boeing’s aircraft. One of the things I really appreciated was how accommodating they were for disabled visitors, making sure everyone could enjoy the tour comfortably. Parking is free on-site, another big plus. The on-site canteen served great food at reasonable prices, with plenty of vegetarian options available, which was perfect for our needs. It’s important to note that the tour does not take you onto the actual manufacturing floor itself, so you’re observing mostly from designated balconies and open areas rather than walking alongside the assembly lines. That said, it’s still incredible to see several planes at different stages of construction. The gift shop was affordable and had some great Boeing-themed souvenirs and collectibles, definitely worth checking out after the tour. Overall, it was a fascinating, educational, and well-run tour that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in aviation or industrial manufacturing.I recently took the Boeing Factory tour near Seattle with my mom, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The tour is more about the manufacturing process and facilities. It is very interesting to see the largest building and the system. Inside the centre there is a small movie theatre and some models for display. It’s very interesting to watch planes flying around and landing from the deck. There are gift shop and snacks centre as well. Washrooms are good.

Oh wow - this is awesome for aviation freaks! Honestly: We were a group of 5 boys and we did our trip from Europe to Seattle (via. Vancouver) in Oct.2025 just because of this: Boeing production visit in Seattle, WA I would do it again!! We did the 90‘ tour and the museum downstairs and don‘t forget the terrasse upstaires! Just awesome!

If you're interested in aviation, this 80-minute airplane manufacturer tour is an absolute must-do – it's truly the best of its kind. The amount of information and history you absorb is impressive. A standout moment for me was learning that every single one of the 1,574 Boeing 747s ever produced originated at this very facility and was then transported across the bridge we drove over for its paint job. That detail evoked such wonderful nostalgia for the 'Queen of the Skies.' While Boeing has faced its share of issues, the enduring legacy and widespread affection for the 747 are undeniable; it's a truly remarkable and successful aircraft.

It was wonderful, amazing and incredible. If you pay attention, planes of that enormity are being built there, and obviously each person,or each team, is doing their own detailed work correctly so that it ultimately becomes a giant aircraft like a 777 flying in the sky. It was a really great experience for me, and I recommend you visit the factory.

I went on a Fri and had to wait about 15 mins due to arriving a few minutes after the prior tour had began. We did not buy tixs in advance. The staff was very friendly and told me about a few things I could do to pass the time until my tour began. The Flight deck was a nice was to pass time. The tour itself was not as exciting as I was expecting compared to other factory tours I have attended. If close to the area, its something to do. I enjoyed the flight deck and gift shop the most.

Lighthouse Park, located in Mukilteo, is a 14-acre waterfront park featuring the historic Mukilteo Light Station and six fire pits along the beach. The park is undergoing development to enhance its facilities, including restoring shore lands, creating a waterfront path, adding picnic areas and an interpretive program with displays. It will also feature pathways, a waterfront promenade, new restroom facilities, and improved access for people with disabilities.
Mukilteo Lighthouse Park is a gem! The historic lighthouse is beautifully maintained and adds so much charm to the waterfront. It’s a great place to watch ferries, stroll along the beach, or enjoy a picnic. The only downside is that there’s just one trash can near the lighthouse area, and it was overflowing during our visit. It would be great if more bins were added to help keep the area as clean as it deserves to be. Overall, still a wonderful place to visit and soak in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

A good place for haiku. The mountains are clearly visible all around. You can also see Mount Baker. And walking along this spit to the house you can take in the sea air. And enjoy the sound of the waves.

My second favorite beach is truly an exceptional place. The lighthouse area exudes a tranquil and serene atmosphere, while the ferries behind the lighthouse ensure the efficient flow of traffic. Small, unassuming shops specializing in seafood and ice cream provide a delightful culinary experience.

Like a small size ruby Beach of Olympic national Park. Plus a historical lighthouse. there is a train line at shore, though make some noise, train is add some vivid to the quiet Park. Ferry pier is not far away.

I have always loved this beach. We find really interesting things all the time! Fossils, artifacts (like the celt in my picture) and of course an abundance of peace. Its incredible with all of the raw energy and beauty that refreshes and excites the soul. There's tons of history here, and you can feel it.

Mukilteo Lighthouse Park is a peaceful and scenic spot by the water, perfect for a beach stroll, picnic, or watching the ferries come and go. The historic lighthouse adds charm, and the views of Puget Sound and Whidbey Island are beautiful, especially at sunset. We spotted sea lions and enjoyed the sounds of the waves. There are fire pits, picnic tables, a small playground, and clean restrooms. A great local escape just north of Seattle—relaxing, photogenic, and family-friendly!

The park itself is quite nice, kept very clean, and had plenty of places to wander or sit to chat with friends. The beach isnt terribly large, but theres plenty of sandy areas to walk along and driftwood to play with. I found the quiet atmosphere at night quite serene.

We love this park! Nothing better than visiting on a sunny day (well, maybe having an orca encounter, as they travel by frequently). It can get a little busy on nice days, but there's plenty of space to spread out. The fire pits are so fun during sunsets, just make sure to come early as there's only a handful of them.

I'm 74 years old. All 3 are pretty long for an old guy. Golf carts are nice. Me, my son and grandson have been coming to Kayak Point from North Idaho for several years now. Annual pilgrimage. Beautiful courses. But, playing all 3 in 2 days will either get me in shape or kill me. Either way, we always enjoy ourselves.

It was the best course I've ever played. The staff was Amazing . The Red course was super fun and the gold course was very cool but extremely hard for even 2 of the pros that were playing with us . However I'd play them both again. I highly recommend getting a cart . Both of the courses are long and hilly . I think the gold course was over 11,000 ft plus awesome uphill and down hill play at every single hole .

I played the Red course and the pitch and putt one day, then came back the next day to play the Blue course. Both were incredible. Great tee pads and the Blue course had great signage. 👍

Locked my keys in my car while visiting from Canada, happened to have my shirt off while applying sunscreen. The staff members were kind and allowed me to borrow a shirt for the time being (wallet locked in there too). Beyond that, this course is absolutely perfect. There is not one bad thing to say about it. Anyone complaining that it costs does not understand the amount of maintenance and upkeep that goes into this place. Come, get a cart, and experience disc golf paradise for yourself. Absolute bliss out here. Truly worth the visit anywhere you come from.

WOW! This course has everything. Views were great, course was great! They had multiple different courses for different skill levels. The putt and pitch 18 hole course was pretty unique and awesome! You can also pay for a golf cart if you want as well. Pro shop had some really nice options to choose from and staff here was friendly and knowledgable. New favorite place to play some disc golf and well worth the 3 hour drive. Will be back very soon.

The different courses here are beautiful, serene, and challenging. They keep the property well-maintained and clean. It can get a little pricey for disc golf, but they're offering a whole different experience here. Well-stocked pro shop and decent food at the new restaurant.

Easily the best disc golf experience I've ever had in 20 years. We rented two golf carts and drove around and played horribly and loved every minute of it. There's a proshop on site with every disc you can imagine, also beers, waters, sandwiches, t-shirts, hats, Tylenol, everything. There's going to be a restaurant opening there too during the weekends! Highly recommend.

Tranquil & beautiful! Loved coming to this farm. As a Floridian visiting WA it was a unique experience for me. I could spend all day there just sniffing the air. They have a cute farm house airbnb on the property as well as a small gift shop with all different fun trinkets. I got a small bike of perfume oil made with the lavender grown there that had amethyst in it. Felt special to be there and lucky we were some of the only ones there.

This place is magical and gorgeous. I went a week before the lavender festival. It wasn’t crowded and I was able to take many photos and relax under the willow tree and enjoy the rows of lavender. The bees are so cute and happy. The gift shop has many cute things to take home. Thank you!

Absolutely stunning place. It's popular but not necessarily crowded, so you can take many beautiful photos and enjoy walking around the quiet lavender fields. They also have a gift shop with many lavender products made locally and a drink station that sells lavender lemonade and ice cream. The lavender lemonade was delicious. I definitely recommend getting one on your next visit here.

Free to visit and wander the peaceful endless rows of purple lavender with picturesque farmhouses in the background. It’s a. Wonderful place for photos. There’s benches to relax . A gift shop to purchase lavender products and $5 to pick a bundle of U-pick lavender.

Absolutely gorgeous spot for lavender. Highly recommend coming here mid July (before the festival if you want to avoid crowds). They had a cute gift shop, a few picturesque fields to explore, an ice cream and lemonade stand that had various lavender flavors. A very dreamy day was spent here (took my mom on a flower date) and the smell of lavender surrounded us. I felt like laying down and never leaving. Will definitely return annually!

Phenomenal experience. Lots of lavender with great varieties and colors. The lavender ice cream is great. The shop has a lot to offer. Their behaviour and service is very good. They immediately offered help and support for any inconvenience. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere was there with all the festivity of this year's lavender festival.Loved loved and loved. Will visit again.

We were very disappointed with the farm, compared to ten years ago. There used to be music and food and beverages. It was so nice to sit and listen to the music. We paid the entrance fee and I think we were there at the farm maybe 10 minutes. Nice looking lavender, but it just wasn't the same. And there was only three vendors. We will try another year.
