Absolutely beautiful lighthouse! The climb up wasn’t bad for me or my 4 year old. Your child does have to be 4years and older to climb the lighthouse and you cannot carry your kid up or down. I believe it was $12 to climb the lighthouse. It was a fun and exciting experience! Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our visit to this lighthouse. It is held by a local restoration group, so there is a fee to go up the lighthouse, but the grounds and outside of the structure are free to visit and interesting and attractive. We enjoyed the well stocked shop that fills one of the old houses even though the power went out and we could only pay with cash.

I love lighthouses. This one is cool because it is nestled in amongst other stuff. Alot of times they are isolated way out by themselves. Not this one. Cool historic town and green space on both sides. Some interesting buildings on the property. I was with pooch so I just glanced.

We didn’t pick the nicest day, a nor Easter was expected to come in the day we went. Turned out to be a decent day. The lighthouse is beautiful and so stately. It is $13 per person to climb, 220 steps. It was not that strenuous for this 60 year old, the landings between floors gave you time to let the burning in your thighs subside 🤣 before moving on. The view from the top, I am sure, is amazing on a sunny day. It was a sisters day and we had a fantastic time in Duck and Corolla.

Amazing grounds. Well maintained. My daughter and I climbed the 220 step lighthouse. At each landing there are fun facts about the history of the lighthouse. The woman accepting the money for the climbs really does enjoy her "job".

Went this past Sunday with my husband and a friend of ours because we’d never been before. Came early in the morning driving from Chesapeake and got there a little after they opened for the day and wasn’t as busy yet. Very beautiful historical lighthouse ❤️ The lady we met who we paid to enter the lighthouse was really friendly and knowledgeable. As a heads up, you do have to sign a waiver before you can climb up, it’s a safety thing considering how old the lighthouse is. Please be aware that on hot/humid days it can get REALLY hot inside on your way up (they can’t really open the windows for preservation reasons). Pace yourself, bring some water to sip on, and take breaks on the levels with fans. The views at the top are worth it!! You can see the Atlantic side and the sound. Plus the cool ocean breeze feels nice after the long climb up :) Be careful going down and wait on the landings to let others pass. All in all glad we stopped to check it out, need to go see the other lighthouses next trip!

We walked 200’ straight up a spiral staircase of this lighthouse. What an absolute amazing experience. There are landings as you climb the lighthouse tower. So you can take your time walking up to the top. The view from the top of the lighthouse is breathtaking. 360 degrees view and You can lookout as far as the eye can see. This lighthouse was built in the 1800’s it cost $13.00 per person to tour the lighthouse. The homes on the property were residential homes for the workers and their families.

Nicely organized, friendly staff, and interesting exhibits. My son enjoyed the touch tanks and submarine control room, but it didn’t take long to get through the entire aquarium (about 2 hours moving pretty slowly). Could use something inside that’s more interactive like the seals at the entrance. Penguins would be a great addition. Not sure if the $35+/ticket is justified for another trip if in the area. Not disappointed in our trip, but not sure I would visit again. The gift shop prices are also insane. $70 for a long sleeve shirt tops all prices for gift shops I’ve been in before, and we’ve been to 10+ aquariums. Left without buying anything from the gift shop for the first time.

Very nice staff. Pet the sting rays was cool. Got a little taken back when they started playing, be prepared to get wet should they start to play again when you are near. Didn't eat at the cafe but seemed to have plenty to choose from. Boat ride wasn't available on a Monday I was there. Due to it was after Labor Day. Bathrooms are clean. 10/10

Nice Aquarium we came from up north. Love the seal right outside before you get it very unique touch. I was very surprised to see reptiles but the surprise was pleasant. We did go on a Saturday which was crowded but organized. Only negative was the parking meters had to go to multiple before we found one that actually worked so that definitely needs to be fixed it was a bit of a hassle. Make sure you take the walk on the scenic nature route the the south building where the otter and jelly fish are. Be warned the walk is about 13 minutes from one building to the other then you have to walk the same way back. They also have zip lining you can pay to do in that area a bit pricey but looked fun. Overall it is worth it if you take the scenic walk as well. They did have a theater but they said it was not ready and it was well into the afternoon so that was disappointing. But overall I recommend and it’s worth price ended up spending 2.5 hours which is way more than we planned but fun

We were in Virginia Beach for a family vacation with the whole family, 10 people ages 12 to 80, and saw the good reviews of this aquarium so we thought it would be a nice place to spend the afternoon on a day with a good chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Overall, it was very disappointing. We have been to a lot of aquariums and this one was by far the least interesting and impressive, and one of the more expensive and crowded. There was not a lot of actual aquarium stuff and it only took about 2-2.5 hours to go through the entire thing, which at $35/person was not worth the cost. Many of the exhibits were closed or missing their animals and we all left disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m a big fan of aquariums and this by far is one of the best ones. We arrived around noon, there was no line to go in. I love how they have everything in separate sections, place was clean, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We went with 3 little ones and they enjoy every minute of it, being able to touch and play with stingrays was the highlight for sure. Great place for families. I’d definitely recommend. We enjoyed it so much.

After seeing how my baby watched the fish tanks at petco, we decided to take her to the aquarium. She loved it! The animals were all well cared for, staff were friendly, and plenty of parking. We will definitely be coming back to make a full day out of it when she’s older to take advantage of the trails and restaurants outside.

Beautiful place to visit if you vacationing in VA Beach to experience marine life! The best part was patting the sting rays. The hike to South building was also very pleasant. Will definitely do this again! If you have kids be prepared to go to the water park after 😂

This is one of my favorite beaches in the USA. It's beautiful, clean, pet friendly and a very free, kind and non-judgemental atmosphere. They even have workout equipment on the beach.

I highly recommend taking this walk. So many things to see and do.

Virginia Beach Boardwalk is one of the best going around. It is completely paved and runs for a couple of miles. There is a separate lane on the boardwalk for bicycles and carts. People in the beach condos overlooking the ocean can hit the boardwalk and go biking or walking. The Neptune statue is a huge attraction

Just came back from VA Beach, refreshed & recharged ! Although I had a GREAT time it was early June, so it rained for a good portion of our trip. And VA Beach does NOT have a "boardwalk" in the true, classic definition that other beach towns such as Ocean City MD, Rehoboth Beach DE, Myrtle Beach SC, Atlantic City NJ, Coney Island NYC etc, etc VA Beach has more of a 3-mile "promenade" which is PAVED rather that the historic WOOD PLANKS of the traditional beach BOARDwalk. Virginia Beach also loses points for its oceanside's lack of businesses and activities on oceanfront property, with only exception are the hotels and resorts and a few restaurants here and there. All the same shopping, dining, beach activities etc Hotels pretty much take up the vast majority (90%+) of prime oceanfront lots Instead of the countless shops, restaurants, amusement thrill parks, etc found in places like Ocean City and Rehoboth. VA Beach has insane # of mobile venders who only stay for seasonal timeframe. Not a lot of shops, just hotels and restaurants on the "boardwalk" that's not even a boardwalk but concrete path ... But to each its own and it was peaceful...

This was a very nice museum. The battleship is huge and is really a self-contained city. They have done an excellent job of capturing the history and the voice of the battleship. We particularly loved the video montage throughout the tour of previous service members telling their stories. Appointed docents were helpful at guiding us as well. It was very rainy today so we didnt get to tour above decks but its a good reason to return. Would love to see their big holiday winterfest light display.

Wow..a new perspective and respect for the Navy and those who choose that journey. Alot of walking and stepping through the doors to different rooms and sections. Very steep stairs that have railings to get to the different levels. Fascinating!

Wisconsin did not disappoint. The gubment shut down had the nsval museum shuttered but the ship was well worth the $20 if that was the only thing you hot to see. Very informative when we tagged along with a tour guide. I could have spent hours in there.

Staying overnight on the Battleship Wisconsin was a once in a lifetime experience! My husband is a major military history hobbyist, and this was the perfect birthday gift for him. The overnight manager, Tammie, was incredibly patient with all my questions and responded quickly, making the process easy. For the night’s stay and tour, we had the fantastic Greg! He made this already special experience truly one for the books. Greg not only answered the dozens of questions my husband had, but also offered the detailed insight of a true professional. I would highly recommend this experience as a gift for yourself or for anyone with a love of history.

Great tour. Definitely take a guided tour and learn about the behind the scenes or areas that are not open to the public. Very worth your while and expense, which is nominal.

Absolutely loved it. One wing of the building is dedicated to the USS Monitor and the Battle of Hampton Roads, including a partial reconstruction of a Confederate Ironclad (Maybe the Virginia, don't remember) and a reconstruction of the Monitor you can walk on the surface of and ring the bell. The video was really good, surround sound, screens all around while we sat on swivel chairs, and a handy map showing where the ships were so the battle made sense. Tucked out of the way is an exhibit of small craft from around the world that was fascinating! The room with the models had a volunteer there actively building models. They have a variety of scavenger hunts for the kids if varying difficulty, which my kids were super dedicated to. The small playground outside had good shade and a little wooden USS Monitor to play on. I would love to come back again if we are ever in the area

Whether you are a tourist or a local trying to decide how to spend some free time, the Mariners' Museum and Park is a clean place to get away from the noise. There are a ton of ways to mix-and-match features of this space to make for a fun and informative day! A few highlights: - Admission to the air-conditioned Museum is just $1. Realistically speaking, even if museums (or this particular subject matter) are not the vibe of everyone in your party, it is a very reasonable amount of money to pay to occupy a decent amount of time if you're looking for something to help fill the day's itinerary. For those who ARE into this type of thing, though, you could easily spend hours looking through the exhibits. Not to mention the docents are INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and excited to share their wisdom with you. :) Complete with a clean bathroom, activities for kids, and a small gift shop! - New inside of the Museum as of Spring of 2025 is Column 15, a pleasant cafe offering a variety of coffees, teas, and pastries. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. - The VERY well-kept Noland Trail that is generally open from sunrise to sunset-ish hours. There is ample parking, as it is intended for visitors to both the Museum and the Noland Trail. The full Trail is an approximately 5.0-mile loop, but there are a few alternate access points along the way. I have walked and jogged the full distance alone at all hours of the day and have always felt safe! The only thing that spooked me was the occasional deer. :) BE AWARE: I believe the Museum has a copper roof, so cell service inside the building and around the Noland Trail is quite spotty. Though it may be a bit inconvenient, couldn't we all use a break from our phones from time to time? :)

I thought it was going to be a boring museum, but it was really great! The thing that made it so enjoyable was doing the full museum scavenger hunt with my daughter while my husband and older son took their time learning about the boats. Don't pass this up just because you have kids along, get a scavenger hunt and have fun!

The Mariners' Museum and Park is a wonderful place to see many fascinating boats and dive into history! I spent a few great hours there. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing by.

Amazing experience! Check out the monitor and Merrimack, America's Cup exhibition, vessels from across history, models, or pieces from ancient ships. Worth the trip... And it's only $1!

The historic ironclad "Monitor" is housed here for preservation. Along with many other artifacts from the history of sea farers. Many exquisite models abound also. Allow plenty of time to soak in all that this museum has to offer. Admission is $1.00. Leave a generous tip afterwards.

My sole reason to visit the museum was to see the Bellamy Eagle. I expected to just see it and go. Spent 4 hours there and could have stayed longer. Very interesting.

Busch Gardens is great. I think parking and food are a bit pricey but it's a theme park, so that is kind of expected. I like all the coasters, but Alpinegiest and Verbolten are my favorites. Pantheon can be unreliable, so expect it not to be running all day. It's about a 2.5 mile circle, with moderate hills, so make sure to have comfortable shoes. There are a few animal exhibits and a couple shows; some seasonal, some run throughout the year, such as Celtic Fyre, which has won some awards. Wait times vary, sometimes they can be up to a hour on busy days, but on an average weekday during the summer, wait times can be less than 10 minutes. Especially when Water Country is in full swing. They do have all day dining options that allow you to get food every 90 minutes. If you time it, it's worth it. There are also a small, Sesame Street themed children's area.

I had a great time yesterday at Busch Gardens. I was there from 1pm until 10pm. Christmastown is absolutely gorgeous! I was disappointed that the top roller-coasters were closed. The lines for other rides were very long and I wished that I had a skip the line pass. It was sunny and 65 degrees. I only got to see the Festhaus show and it was good. Next year I hope to go to Christmastown a few times so I can see all of the entertainment.

Went with our kids and Grandkids today, October 18th 2025 for the first time in our Grandkids life's !!! They have been there three (3) times over the summer with our kids, their parents. Busch Gardens goes back to my childhood !! My father was in Broadcast Television as the president of the CBS Affiliate TV Station in Roanoke, VA !! I was there on the first day of its opening, and my sister and I rode the "Loch Ness Monster" in the first two (2) hours of opening !! It is truly the Most beautiful park in the Country. Has the best rides, nicest staff through the years, and a Must Go to Theme Park !!! So now the tradition moves on to the Grandkids and they truly, truly, truly love it and had a great time today !! They were talking about it as they went to bed. Telling their funnest moments and what they are going to do the next day !! They love The kids areas. The Dragon tree house, "Grouch's Worm ride" and "The Big Bad Wolf": "The Wolf's Revenge !!" And the "Loch Ness Monster". Our Kids Love "Pantheon", "Griffon", "Tempesto", and the all time Fav of our kids and My wife and I is "Apollo's Chariot" !! A Great time is always had here !! Get Season passes, and if you can the Skip the Line with "Quick Queue". If not do the food, it's worth it. You need to go and enjoy all the NEW rides for 2025. Now it's Howl-O-Scream, our Kids are there and I know are having a great time. I also see where it's open at Christmas now too. Excellent !!

It was my first time at Christmas town at Bush Garden. My friend invited me. We had so much fun to hot chocolate to matching Christmas earrings. She took me around to all her favorites. She really maded my day. I definitely will be back again soon.

This park is beautiful. It’s one of my favorite parks to go to and there are so many reasons why. First of all, Fridays are surprisingly much slower days so I’d recommend going on a Friday and the park is pretty big so wear some comfy shoes. The park is very convenient when it comes to loose articles and it has lots of shade so waiting in queues won’t feel like hell. This park has a European theme to it and they did it very well. The theme and atmosphere of the park is seriously underrated and the rollercoasters there refuse to miss. I’ve gone a number of times and it just seems to get better every time. There’s so much to do at the park and you never get bored. The food is great too but it is gonna still be pretty expensive (but that should be expected at most corporate theme parks). This park in Williamsburg is a must do when you’re in the area as it offers something for babies, kids, teens, adults, and even grandmas. Even if you don’t like rides all that much there’s still a lot of things to do there like catching a show or trying some new foods that are unique in every section of the park. Overall, this park has infinite possibilities with a beautiful atmosphere and an even better ride lineup that has something for everyone from thrill seekers to first timers. 9/10

What a beautiful park! So many big coasters to ride! I loved feeding the lorikeets! And we paid to feed “Poppy” the highland cow. We loved it!! This park is beautiful and well kept. It’s a lot of walking so be prepared. I wish we would have planned two days at this park. We had a coaster pass so that was helpful. Bummed the biggest coaster here was not running.

Busch Gardens is a beautiful theme park, however you will walk. If you have directional challenges, be ready to ask the park workers which I had to do numerous times 😂. The great thing is that every attendant knew the park like the back of their hands. Our party ate at Trappers (which is my go to when I visit BG@W). The Rhine River cruise in my opinion is always delightful. I would give 4 stars, except for the fact, 1. the wait time for rides is long (which we knew would be the case), but the ride times are extremely short compared to the wait. There was a point, when one of the rides was over, the look on people's faces seemed to say, "This is it?" BG@W only takes certain payment, so if you use a digital wallet, you'll need to know your pin number. Kiosks are available to convert cash to a Visa prepaid credit card. Like any other theme park, souvenirs, food, etc. are pricey, so make sure to plan accordingly. Overall, BG@W is a beautiful, clean, scenic fun family spot, with helpful, courteous attendants.

First time visiting & I will definitely be back! My son - who’s 7- and myself had an absolute amazing time. The park was so clean. The staff were so friendly. The food was delicious. The rides were fun & the wait times were extremely short. We loved every second!

We had a ball!!! I purchased a 8 person cabana which I got on a discount rate for $301 on a Saturday. They are usually $499-800 depending on day and time purchased. I purchased our tickets off of tripster.com which they were $45 for a Saturday. With the cabana you get free water bottles, and depending group size of cabana a meal voucher for 30% off meals from select restaurants. I paid roughly $22 for meals with the voucher for what everyone wanted to eat. Also, I wished I would’ve purchased the wristbands because we had to wait 15-30 minutes for rides when people with the wristbands were constantly getting on and off , the price per wristband for unlimited rides and advantage of skipping the lines was an additional $34. I’m glad I did purchase the cabana because there were no empty beach chairs to put our towels. The cabana purchase also came with a locker. I was so happy my 3 yr old nephew was able to enjoy majority of the rides with us. He couldn’t rides 3 rides which was fine because we got on the rides that fit 4-5 people with his height range. He had a blast l, put a huge smile on their faces! We will be returning next summer!

This is a world-class water park. Great variety of slides and amenities. Capacity is geared towards selling quick queue tickets. On busy days they are worth it for the big slides. There are two limitations you should be aware of. Firstly, this park is not suitable for single riders. There are no single rider lines, and you have to ask other groups to join their rafts. Not recommended for introverts. Secondly the park is not accessible with public transportation or by foot. You need a car. Uber drop offs have to queue with the regular line into the park. This should be fixed. For families arriving by car, these two points would not be a problem.

Great water park for the price, I highly recommend getting a platinum membership for free parking as it is on the expensive side. There’s plenty of parking spaces, and it’s pretty much all pavement, but there are some gravel parking spaces if it gets too packed. They have a nice amount of water rides/slides and plenty of food options for kids and adults. The selection of rides is nice too, lots of different style water slides, my favorite one is Colossal Curl and the Cutback Water Coaster. I hadn’t been in almost a decade and went last week on Saturday August 2, 2025. If you need to change or shower, most of the restrooms have showers or a changing area. The crowds were definitely in full effect and they do have quick queue to bypass the line which is good for most rides, but I noticed the way they do their quick queue causes the line to be even longer than what it was since only one person or raft can go down at a time for bigger rides like Cutback Water Coaster. Weather was around 75-80 degrees with low humidity, but it did get cooler towards the end of the day. The water was warmed up for some of the slides but a couple were freezing lol. They stayed open until 11pm for an Aqua Glow Pool Party event, but I left at park close which was 8pm since it was too cool to be on water rides that late. T’was a fun day at Water Country USA! Despite a couple of unexpected thunderstorms that briefly interrupted our plans, the weather cleared up and we were able to enjoy several rides. The park had a great atmosphere, and once the skies opened up again, the fun continued. A memorable day with just a touch of adventure from Mother Nature! Water Country USA features a variety of attractions, including slides and rides, a giant wave pool, a lazy river, and designated play areas for children. Guests can experience thrill rides like Colossal Curl™, the park's first family thrill ride and the first of its kind in North America. Other popular attractions include corkscrew slides and river rafting with tunnels and falls.

Rides are good, lots of different areas with different things to do. Food is ok and expensive. I bought the all day pass for $30 a person, it’s worth it in a way. You can get an entrée dessert side and a drink every 90 minutes. But my kids were more thirsty than hungry. They have water fountains throughout the park. The downside is lack of seating.

I visited Water Country USA in Williamsburg and had a generally thrilling experience with a wide variety of waterslides, a massive wave pool, and a fun lazy river. The rides like Aquazoid Amped and Hubba Hubba Highway were exciting and scenic, but the park was extremely crowded when I visited, leading to long waits and some chaos in high-traffic areas. The staff and lifeguards seemed mostly attentive and safety-focused, though a few reviews mentioned less-than-ideal interactions and slow entry/billing procedures in peak times. Overall, it was fun and adrenaline-filled, but the crowds and logistics slightly dampened the day.

It was really nice, quiet garden to walk, hang out place. You can picnic or just lay down and take nap! I went here with my husband. We walk to the down to see Japanese garden and Italian garden. We saw a lot of squirrels and deers. It was amazing. I love nature and i like the way they take care of this place except bamboos. Please, take good care of those bamboos! Bamboos symbolize very good fortune. The park/garden was not dog friendly unfortunately. That is why I gave only 3 stars just because bamboos (one of my favorite plant) and I couldn’t bring my well behave dog. I would still recommend this place, family friendly, stuff were friendly. It is also nice date idea. It is a romantic place. Oh, there is a parking lot.

Free, lots of free parking. The mansion is closed under renovation/construction but still had a great time walking around the Japanese and Italian garden. Didn't manage to walk the entire park butvwhat we did was beautiful. Went end of October and still had lots of beautiful colorful flowers. I recommend taking water and snacks.

I’ve been to this place during the day with my kids, and it is absolutely fantastic. It has a huge green meadow, beautiful Japanese gardens, and plenty of deer to watch. Everything is incredibly scenic and peaceful — a perfect way to spend time with kids and family. They also have a great play area, some cool animals, and lots of photogenic spots. I definitely recommend visiting! During the fall, they host a “Glow Night,” which was really awesome and such a fun experience.

Me and a friend stopped here to stretch our legs. Beautiful property. The Italian and Japanese gardens were very pretty. It is hilly so it may be challenging for some. Especially since some of the paths are under construction.

Maymont is a beautiful Park located in Richmond. They have beautiful gardens to walk in. They have lots of animals to pet and feed. The fee is free to get in. They have the garden Glow going on right now. It takes about 90 minutes to walk through the whole thing. We love maymont and we come here about once a month. You can never appreciate the beauty of it enough.

We only went for the Garden Glow experience and arrived pretty late in the night. It was a bit chilly around halloween, but we bundled up and had a great time. The Japanese Garden is a must see experience, I wish we had more time here. We did the hike and unless you have limitations with walking I would suggest it over taking the tram. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the money we spent on it.

Maymont is a must see Richmond landmark and shouldn't be missed. It has beautiful and unique formal gardens, an animal farm, a historic home, a nature center and so much more. Years ago I attended a wedding at the Italian Gardens and it was a beautiful ceremony. The Italian Gardens are right behind the historic mansion. In front of the mansion is a grouping of the most amazing trees that my children loved having a picnic under. Maymont has benches set up under these trees. The fact that admission is free to all of the grounds and the farm area is amazing and quite the gift to Richmond. I hope people appreciate how unique and special this is. Highly recommend this special gem of a place.

If you live near Washington, D.C. and have already explored all the Smithsonian museums, and you're looking to venture a bit farther, this place is worth the trip. It’s not huge, but it offers a thoughtfully curated collection — and best of all, it’s open year-round and completely free. The surrounding scenery is also beautiful, making it a perfect getaway for those who want a peaceful break from the everyday hustle. The current Frida Kahlo exhibition didn’t quite meet my expectations, as it features more writing than artwork, but it’s still worth a visit. This is a museum where you can enjoy the playfulness of surrealism and discover the hidden modernity within ancient art.

There are a lot of great works of art! More Egyptian items than I have seen other places. That was very neat to see. The Faberge eggs were very interesting. I really enjoyed the section with the black walls and the lighting on the paintings. That really made them pop! We also enjoyed the giant paintings!

Wedding Venue: We had an amazing experience planning and hosting our wedding at the VMFA!!! Beth was awesome to work with through the planning process, and wedding weekend. She was kind, helpful, professional, responsive, and we had full confidence in her executing our event! She helped provide all the critical info up front, answered all our questions through the process, provided guidance, vendor suggestions (DJ was amazing), helped coordinate details for some of the other vendors, and overall was a calming presence that put us at ease. The wedding logistics were executed flawlessly, and it was such a nice feeling to be able to have full confidence in Beth and the staff, and truly be able to enjoy the day/evening. The venue itself (Amuse & Claiborne) was perfect, and our guests were raving about it - they enjoyed the different rooms to talk and dance, and enjoyed the patios. The food was incredible (especially the mac and cheese!), we loved having so many options as a part of the station dinner, and guests really liked having the food out all evening. The bar never had a line, everything was efficient, and guest enjoyed the selection. Most importantly, we and our guests noticed and appreciated how every staff member we interacted with was so nice, helpful, and were just a positive addition to our evening. Lastly, we loved all the different outdoor options for pictures, including a private first look in the front of the building. The grounds are so beautiful! I visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and absolutely loved it! The Frida Kahlo exhibition was incredible, so inspiring and beautifully curated. The museum itself is spacious and elegant, with a great atmosphere for art lovers. I really enjoyed spending time there, and I’d love to go back to explore more of their collections!

I had a fabulous time at the Frida exhibit back in October. It was amazing. I got to see pictures I've never seen before. I have seen a Frida exhibit before. This was My first time at the Virginia museum. It was amazing. It's a beautiful museum. The sculpture outside. I really enjoyed it. I didn't get a chance to see the rest of the museum because I spent most of my time looking at the Frida stuff and buying books and looking at all the stuff to buy.

This museum is both active and peaceful between the inside and the outside. It's a go-to for me. This is fantastic place with an incredible collection, whether you're into art or you're just checking it out for the first time.

Very Nice place to take the little ones. Clean, and Fun. Extremely Over Priced for Food, and Drinks. I recommend bringing a cooler with food, and drinks in it. You can exit the park, and eat at the picnic tables near your car, then go back into the park when you are done eating. We bought a Large Cup at the gift shop, and then paid another $8.00 to fill up at any drink station around the park. The cup was $25.00. Crazy prices. The games to win a stuffed animal is 15.00, or 20.00, for 3 chances to win. Again, WAY Over Priced. The Rides are Amazing, and it is a Fun time for you, and your family, but bring Lots of Money. Oh, and they do NOT Accept cash in the park anywhere. You have to purchase a card, and load it with your money, to purchase things inside the park. I did not like that. Have Fun.

This place is so nice. So much shade. There aren't any of those blacktop pathways which is good. The rides are great. I didn't get to go up the Eiffel Tower. But I've heard that the views are great form up there. I would definitely visit this place again whenever I get the chance to.

Great place for kids and thrill seekers. Good roller coasters and some rides like Delirium and Drop Tower, that will have your stomach in the back of your throat! Twisted Timbers is a newer wooden coaster, but is smooth, fast, and is a decent length for the time spent waiting in line to board the ride. Their are rides for younger children in their Snoopy Land section of the park. I visited most recently during their Halloween Haunt and walked through few of the mazes. The people they have acting the parts of the spooky/creepy/scary characters were pretty good. Though having a rather intuitive nature, those types of mazes generally don't surprise me, I did see a good number of guests being taken off guard and scared. One disappointment of this visit was the Dominator, roller coaster. Not because it wasn't fun or thrilling, but because it was closed for repairs/maintenance every time we tried riding it(both on Friday and Saturday) The real disappointment was on Saturday after waiting in line for an hour to ride that particular roller coaster and having the ride closed as soon as we were sitting in the car strapped in and ready to ride! One other roller coaster, Racer 75, was also delayed as we were waiting in the staging area, after waiting in line to ride.

I haven't been to KD in over 10 yrs but I took ny teenage daughter ans some friends to Haunt.. I brought a No Boo Light for me but it was kind of scarey. We arrived at 8 and left when the park closed. The kids had so much fun that they wanted to go back on Sunday🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. I can for see we will definitely be utilizing our season passes alot in the upcoming year.

We bought all day tickets and we mainly went for the haunt, but there really wasn’t too much scary they did still have the rides going at night time. The haunt didn’t start till 7 o’clock I believe it was. The food and drinks are very expensive outrageously expensive. I usually don’t say stuff like that but it’s best to buy season passes. If you go get the best ones that you can get to where you get food all day and drinks every 90 minutes plus pictures on rides that do take pictures that’s the best deal

Soooooo much fun! The haunts were clever, the atmosphere was cool. Drinks and food readily available with gluten free options all over the park. The rides were fantastic and the shows were exceptional, well practiced and timed.

First time going to an amusement park and it was definitely worth it. I had so much fun especially on the roller coasters and the wave pool. Depending on the rides, the lines weren't too crazy for some of them. Get a yearly pass is a great option, especially if u live close by because there is so much to do that you'll need more than 1 day to complete. Will definitely come back again for the rides I didn't have time to do😁

A fantastic museum, organized chronologically through major conflicts. The exhibits feature everything from small arms to armored vehicles and aircraft, with vivid dioramas depicting Marines in action. The layout is well thought out and honors the service members who sacrificed their lives in each conflict. Knowledgeable volunteers are present in each area to provide detailed explanations. Truly enjoyed the visit.

This was a fantastic museum. We were told it would take about 1.5 hrs but we took 3 hrs & we still missed things. As we walked in we were talking to a guy who was a volunteer there so he ended up walking with us & giving us lots of information. We had an amazing visit.

This has been one of the most impressive museums I've ever seen. The interior design, the organization of the exhibits, and the architecture of the building itself are simply marvelous. From the moment you enter, the staff is incredibly friendly, and in each area, there are well-trained personnel who explain things or answer any questions you may have. I spent two hours exploring the exhibits and left completely amazed. I have to go back with family and friends to experience it again.

The Marine Corps Museum is beyond awesome! AND IT'S FREE...if it is not THE best museum that I've ever been to, it's at least tied. It feels like you are almost in a theme park. I strongly suggest planning to spend hours there...I wish we had planned on two half days because there is so much there that it is simply overwhelming. I highly recommend that all go that have a chance -- and whoever gave this less than 5 Stars is...

This place is filled with education and dedication! Definitely plan to be there at least 2 to 3 hours to see everything. The layout is perfect and you easily move from one section to another. Highly recommend checking this place out, it's free to get in!

This was probably one of the best museums we have been to and we've been to a lot. The kiddos loved it too with all the displays, hands-on activities, and play area. We also ate at Tun Tavern which was delicious! Overall it was a phenomenal experience!!!

As a Marine, visiting the National Museum of the Marine Corps was nothing short of incredible. The moment you walk in, the design of the building and the atmosphere make it clear that this is more than just a museum—it’s a tribute to our history, our sacrifices, and our brotherhood. The exhibits bring Marine Corps history to life in a way that words alone can’t capture. From the Revolutionary War to the modern-day fight, each gallery is immersive, detailed, and respectful of the Marines who served in those eras. The attention to detail in the uniforms, weapons, and recreated environments made me feel like I was stepping back in time. What stood out most to me was how the museum honors every generation of Marines. It’s not just facts on a wall—it’s stories, images, and artifacts that remind you of the legacy you’re part of. Walking through, I felt a deep sense of pride, respect, and connection to those who came before me. If you’re a Marine, a veteran, or someone who simply wants to understand the heart of the Corps, this is a must-visit. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. Semper Fidelis.

Mount Vernon earned its name due to its association with United States President George Washington. He lived in various times at this estate. It is basically an agriculture estate on a raised bank of Potomac River. The estate has a nice two storied building where George Washington lived with his family members. There is vast green all around. The property also has the tomb of George Washington. It can be a nice weekend tour. The facility has a museum to exhibit George Washington's stuffs like furniture, crockery, wardrobe etc. The museum and all other facilities are well designed, well maintained, and masterly curated. There are volunteers everywhere. There are guides, narrators, audio visual shows. There are adequate facilities for people with special needs. One needs to walk 2-3 miles at least to see all the exhibits.

My visit to Mount Vernon was truly inspiring 🇺🇸 I loved every part of it — the insightful exhibitions, the beautifully preserved estate, and especially the passionate guides who brought George Washington’s story to life. Walking through the house and gardens felt like stepping back in time. The attention to detail and the way history is shared here make it one of the most memorable visits I’ve had in the U.S. A place full of meaning, learning, and respect for the past. Highly recommended!

First and foremost I would like to thank the staff at the lost and found, someone recovered my necklace and returned it to lost and found and the staff here did everything they could after my girlfriend contacted them via email to ship the item back to me in a quick and timely matter and I really appreciate the staff here for that. Now this was an extremely amazing experience to see George Washington’s home and farm and to learn about his family and life and the slaves that he had working on the farm and seeing his tomb and seeing how beautiful his garden is and Maintained really well by the staff who works here. If you are in the area I would recommend visiting this place, the staff here are very friendly, helpful and it’s obvious they love their job.

We really enjoyed visiting here with our kids (ages 3 & 6). We’ve studied Washington with our schooling and seeing his favorite place really brought history alive. There’s something really amazing about standing on the back porch at Mt Vernon and enjoying the same view he loved standing where he probably stood. Even though the house tour is limited currently it was still worth doing and we highly recommend going. Learning about the way the house was built and how he worked the land was fascinating. Seeing his tomb was special. We went at the end of day and actually saw it with minimal people present. The guides were all helpful and very kind. We quickly visited the other burial grounds for the enslaved people as it was closing time. We appreciated that we could and they weren’t rushing us out.

A wonderfully presented piece of early US history. Although there are main house renovation works going on, it did not spoil the visit to this glorious spot. The volunteers - who are everywhere - keep you well informed of history and everything George Washington. Great food court, museum and shopping before you drive away.

This facility was an agricultural estate adjacent to the Potomac River. The main building was under renovation at this time. They provided you with virtual tour of the main residential building at the beginning. The property has the tomb of George Washington. The staff were friendly and informative. They kept the facility in a beautiful condition. You can access the audio tour through their QR code. The facility does required quite a bit of walking if you are interested in seeing all the landmarks.

We had a meeting scheduled with President Washington. His secretary promised he’d spare at least five minutes to talk with us. Instead, we ended up strolling around his estate at Mount Vernon for four hours. His staff were kind enough to show us around, but the man himself was too busy to meet us. No worries, we’ll definitely come again.

This was a really impressive place to visit but don't expect to learn much about the president. There was a lot about the house and his wife but they didn't not talk a lot about the man as President or otherwise. I left not having a feeling of the man. You get a some dates and facts but you don't get a since of the man like you do when you visit Monticello and Mount Vernon. They do have one of the best exhibits on the enslaved community subjugated there. One thing that did become clear during the visit was that Madison's wife Dolly and her son were garbage human beings that destroyed families to maintain her own lifestyle and even allowed herself to be excommunicated from her own religion to gain the wealth and comforts slavery gave her. Her son was a degenerate gambler, drunkard and womanizer and she lived above her means driving her family into crippling debt to host and entain people. I should clarify that I found the grounds impressive the inside of the home and the tour was less so. Our guide was fine and did a good job but we just didn't have enough time on the tour to see everything and ask all the questions we wanted to. If you want a really intimate tour visit his birth place at the Belle Grove Plantation. The place is not as expansive but can a more intimate experience. That plantation is also a working bed and breakfast so you can stay there but it's haunted so beware.

Outstanding house tour with extremely knowledgeable staff. This was one of the best tours I've been on, and memorable for all ages. To complement the tour, the extensive recommended reading available at the adjacent gift shop is worth a look, even if to just browse. Highly recommend this site as a key one to reflect on Virginia and US history.

I visited Montpelier with my sister on a Sunday. We arrived at 10:15 and participated in the 10:30 tour, which was very enjoyable and informative. We toured the basement exhibits and the garden on our own. We packed our own lunches, but there’s also a modest cafe next to the gift shop. We briefly toured the DuPont Art Gallery. There’s a lot to see. We spent about three hours touring the property.

This is a must see if you are interested in our country's founding. It is in his house where the US Constitution and the later Bill of Rights were originated. The house tour was indepth and very informative. I disagree with the reviewer who said there was too much focus on the slave population. Inside the house the focus was heavily on James and Dolly, but you can't interpret the house and how it works without talking about the other residents who served the Madison's in that home, and it was a very small part of our guide's comments. The basement exhibit on the enslaved people is powerful and should not be missed. The video presentation may move you to tears. Keep in mind there are two parts in the basement and they are not connected. Monticello could learn a bit about how to handle their interpretation of the enslaved Sally Hemings and the others who lives there. The gardens are nice and the views are excellent. This is place is well worth your time.

THIS REVIEW WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. The park closes permanently in November. If you plan to go before it does, buy the standard ticket. I promise there is NO need to buy a fast pass of any kind as the park is mostly empty even on weekends. If you buy a single meal deal, there’s about a $4 cost savings if you order your meal and drink from Jonny Rockets ($28 regular and $24 with the meal deal ticket). My wife and I enjoyed the rides and the theme park, and we hope they build something similar there.

Pretty sad to see this place closing down. I surprisingly had a better time here than SFNE. I just thought that here, everything wasn't crammed into one little space like over there. Although, Six Flags New England has some nice buildings. Back to Six Flags America. It wasn't very crowded. On days where it's busy, the I'll expect the lines to be 2 hours each because these operations are BAD. There were only running one train on half of the coasters and it took them about 3 minutes to dispatch each train. They were only running on gondola on Voodoo Drop and it still took like 2 minutes. I hope their operations get better because this park is closing in less than a month. I did have a great time for my 4 hours there even though it rained (the reason why I only stayed there for 4 hours.) Come check this place out before closing on 11/2/25

I love this place! 🙃🥳My daughter & i will most certainly miss our home state amusement park. I been coming here since I was 9 in the "adventure world" to "wild world" days. I'm very sad to see Six Flags not invest in the park overall that much since 2000. However, what they added since are great flat ride additions. If it got its fair share of investment $ along the years since superman was added, I think it would still have survived the cutting board. What a shame😭 That being said, I hope everyone got their fun in by now. If not, this weekend will be the final hooray! I'm sure we'll be there getting our last kicks in, weather is looking good so far! ✌🏽😎

Despite the park closing permanently very soon, I had a great time here! All the Roller Coasters had no wait on a Sunday, and we got to ride them all a few times. Park was clean, and the shows were good. Operations were quite slow (granted it is closing soon, and no crowds) but still kind of annoying. All the roller coasters were quite fun, favorites being Superman: Ride Of Steel, Jokers Jinx, and Wild One.

I visited this park knowing about the coming closure in November. Overall, it was a good experience and I had some fun. The only downside to my experience was that three out of the eight roller coasters were closed that day. This is a big deal considering there aren’t that many to begin with. The crowds were not too bad and most of the coasters only ran one train. The park is nice and offers some cool places such as the new steam town. On the other hand, there are some areas that do not look well kept. The staff were friendly when running the rides. I would like to come back one day, however, because of the closure I would not return.

I know that this park is closing next month so I went one last time. I was disappointed that Superman: Ride of Steel, and Batwing was closed. I went on 6 rides and the wait time was 5 minutes or less. Ragin Cajun had a longer wait so I didn't go on that ride. I was going to ride Harley Quinn Spinsanity but they were having a problem getting the seat belts to lock so I got out of line. The rides that I went on were very rough. I didn't want to ride them again. I saw 3 shows and they were very good. It's sad that the park is closing but the roller-coasters need to be replaced.

My first time here was the last day the park was open. Kind of hard to believe they'd want to close that park. The grounds were clean, the staff was professional, I even saw a ride operator pick up a piece of trash off of the floor that a guest had dropped. Almost forgot it was a six flags park lol. It just feels like their corporate daddy is deciding to close the park because it's not a big money maker, but it's hard to believe it's losing them money. So much history and large part of people's lives and jobs gone because someone at the top wants to make a quick buck versus putting in the time and money to make it a truly great park. It's sad l and I hope this isn't a repeat of astroworld. Six flags just completed a merger last year with cedar fair so there's a bunch of parks that are close together. Closing this park was just getting rid of some "redundancy." I honestly expect to see more closings where there's another park close by over the next decade or so.

The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is an absolute must-visit in DC and it is free. The exhibits are incredible and there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into aviation history, space exploration, or just want to see real rockets, moon landers, and fighter jets up close. I loved how interactive and well-organized everything was. You can walk through the history of flight, see the Wright brothers’ early work, touch a piece of the moon, and check out modern NASA missions all in one place. The curation is top-notch and every display is thoughtfully done. Check out the IMAX theater inside. They play some really great 3D movies that are worth the experience, especially if you’re into space documentaries or science films. It adds a whole new layer to your visit. It can get a little crowded, especially on weekends, but totally worth it. Staff is friendly and the space is big enough to move around easily. Easily one of the highlights of my DC trip. Would go back to catch more shows and explore the rest.

Wow! What an amazing museum!!! We’ve visited it a few times over the years. Our whole family has always enjoyed it at all ages, little kids, teenagers, and adults alike. There’s hands-on activities for younger kids, and informative displays for adults. We watched a film display and the toddlers next to us found it just as engaging as we did. This museum really is truly great for all ages, and we have found it fascinating after each new visit. We spent 3 hours here, and didn’t even see every display. There’s so much to do and to look at. The staff were so friendly and well-informed. We really enjoyed chatting with them. I’m so happy that we were able to visit. My one piece of advice is to book the free timed-entry tickets as far in advance as possible so that you get the chance to enjoy this amazing experience!

Great museum! If you love aviation you will love this place! They have many airplanes from 747s to DC-3s to a wright flyer. They even have an x wing hanging from the roof! Tons of cool information, including about space flight and space craft. Only complaint is that part of the museum was closed for construction, but it's understandable because they have to renovate it at some point. Get tickets online in advance! Would highly recommend this place!

I went in late June and quite enjoyed my experience. If you are in the area, definitely visit. Unfortunately part of the museum was closed off and the lines were very long (but go incredibly fast). Gift shop is incredible. Exhibits are great, I liked the Northwest 747 the best. Definitely recommend checking out the Apollo Exhibit. I quite enjoyed my experience.

We love going to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History again and again. There is always so much to see, explore, and learn. One of the highlights for us was the African safari animals exhibit. The animals look so real that it feels like you're actually on a safari! It's exciting and fun for both kids and adults. My personal favorite part of the museum was the human evolution section. It was truly amazing to see how humans have changed and developed over thousands of years. The displays show how we’ve evolved from early humans to who we are today. It really makes you think about how far we’ve come as a species. The kids also had a great time exploring different sections of the museum. There are interactive exhibits and interesting facts everywhere you look, so it never feels boring. We spent hours walking around and still felt like there was more to discover. The Smithsonian Natural History Museum is a great place for families, students, and anyone curious about the world. It’s humbling to stand in a place that tells the story of everything that came before us. From the glint of ancient gems to the quiet stare of creatures long extinct, every exhibit whispers, You’re part of something much older, much greater, than yourself. As a Marine, I’ve spent years learning about survival, discipline, and adaptation — but this museum reminded me that nature wrote those lessons first. The fossils, the meteorites, the skeletal giants towering overhead… all proof that time itself is the ultimate drill instructor. It shapes, tests, and transforms everything it touches. Walking through the Hall of Human Origins, I found myself reflecting on how far we’ve come — and how fragile our place still is. There’s a deep respect in realizing that we’re not the masters of this planet; we’re its current students. For anyone visiting Washington, D.C., this museum isn’t just about science — it’s about perspective. It’s a sacred reminder that every breath we take is borrowed from something far older, and far wiser, than we are. But, never forget, Not all is as it seems 😉

Very nice museum, very friendly staff at the information desk at the entrance! The museum is well laid out, with something for everyone and beautifully presented. I also loved the opportunity to hold a giant grasshopper in my hand. It was a sad thing that the butterfly house was closed.

Obviously a must see if you're visiting DC! I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty crowded but people were being very respectful and waiting for others to finish to take their pictures. When you get to the top you can see all the way down the National Mall which is great. Unfortunately the bookstore was closed due to the government shutdown, but still fun to check out!

A great place to honor our former president. You will never understand how big it is until to get to the bottom. The best time to visit is close to sunset when the sky is pretty and you can see the full reflection of the Washington monument with amazing colors in the sky. The addition of the ramp although blocks the view from the front, is a good addition for those with strollers.

The Lincoln Memorial is stunning especially at sunset. I didn’t realize how close all the monuments were to each other until I visited; everything is just a short, scenic walk away. As I made my way from the Thomas Jefferson or Washington Memorial to the Lincoln, I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever experienced. The way the light hit the reflecting pool and the memorial itself was just perfect peaceful, powerful, and unforgettable.

What a wonderful experience it was to have visited this truly historical place and to learn about one of the greatest presidents of our time. Reading and Gettysburg address was like stepping back in time and in my opinion is the best speech every written. Please note that there is a lot of walking if you visit Washington DC so really good walking shoes are a must.

The view of the Reflecting Pool and Washington Monument is breathtaking, especially around sunset. The site is kept very clean, and there is plenty of space to sit, walk, and reflect. A beautiful and powerful reminder of American history.

The Lincoln Memorial is one of Washington, D.C.’s most recognized landmarks, honoring Abraham Lincoln with an impressive structure at the end of the National Mall. It connects easily to nearby attractions such as the Reflecting Pool, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and Korean War Veterans Memorial, making it convenient to include in a day of sightseeing. The memorial is open 24/7 and especially striking when illuminated at night. It can be crowded during peak hours, but the space remains respectful and accessible, offering good opportunities to take in the views and history.

It's interesting to read that this memorial was designed after a "healing wound." I think the architect did a good job at bringing that vision to reality. After taking in the Lincoln Memorial, we headed back east and came upon the site which is just off the north side of the Pool. The arrow-shaped memorial wall of smooth, dark, reflective gabbro rock starts at ground level then slopes ever so gently into the earth until its midpoint, where it then gradually rises back up to ground level, with a ton of names engraved along the way. A memorial directory is posted nearby to aide in finding names. Look for a small podium near the entrances/exits. Simple, striking, and beautiful.

The Wall’s shape points toward the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, linking it to the nation’s history. It's an open air Memorial, you can visit any time.

I found this memorial to be really cool on the evening that I went because they were doing an orange light awareness activity with lots of candles. I also really enjoy how you can see your image reflected in this memorial. If you are by the Lincoln memorial feel free to stop by this one as well!

There was a quiet reverence while walking through this area, it was deeply appreciated. I was there to find a name for my friend; her husband passed in Viet Nam. The volunteers were helpful and offered historical documentation about the Wall.

Years ago I watched a movie called In Country about a young girl searching for information about her father, who was killed in the Vietnam War. I recall the movie as being average at best, but in the final scene, they film real people at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. It was so moving and difficult to watch I had tears flowing and could not stop. I could also hear several other people in the audience with the same reaction and when the show ended, I just stayed seated for the longest time and thankfully, my wife quietly sat there with me. Just to be clear, I’m too young to have fought in Vietnam but for some reason, it’s something that has been a part of my life since I was a kid. And so when I finally got to visit this amazing place after all these years, I took plenty of time to take it all in. This is a beautiful monument and it’s definitely worth seeing but at the same time, it was so jarring to see how amazing the monument to the Korean War and WWII were. Very nice memorial for all those we gave it all for the Vietnam war. A solemn place to honor and remember.

Long review So the lobby, restaurant, store all so gorgeous and clean. The art work and design gorgeous. The Casino so clean. The staff nice and hospitable. The food at Dave’s great, but service mediocre. Luckies staff very kind and friendly. (Female staff need to pull back their hair). Valet staff very kind and prompt and professional. The room was the worse part. The furniture is old and beat up, along with the room it self. Lots of chipped furniture or faded paint. Burn hole in sheet, broken hairdryer, broken shower head and there was mold in the shower. Definitely NOT a 4 star room. The 3 rd day of our visit housekeeping came at 5 pm and acted very put out that we expected the room to be cleaned. The location is convenient to shopping and airport but not to Baltimore sites. Security is a lot better then down near the Horseshoe casino. There was a small but very memorable interaction between a hotel customer and what looked like Live! Cooperate staff (no uniform, wearing business casual) that I witnessed and those individuals should be very ashamed of their behavior and the representation of the brand they are hired portrayed. Overall not a “bad” trip but for the cost and level of expectations Live! Hotel FAILED Definitely not the luxury experience I expected Valet were amazing The bell man Bryan was absolutely the best interaction of the hotel staff. The gentleman at the Live! Shop was so knowledgeable and helpful. His approach made me want to buy everything. I had a great customer service experience with him. The guy at Luckies named Rodrigo was so polite and courteous and patient. One person that was a negative experience was a staff from the casino, older women with short grey hair in a red jacket was VERY rude Definitely did not represent Charm city or had a customer service approach when speaking to casino customers

I love going out to Live! to hang out for a couple of days when I want to get away from home to recharge, but not go too far. It's only a 3 hour drive or 5 hour train ride, and I switch it up. I get great comps!!! The players there are super nice and make me feel like I go there all of the time. The dealers and pit bosses are pretty cool as well. Any restaurant you eat at on site is delicious and the good part is, I never pay for them. I use comps. They really know how to take care of their players.

Only a very short visit but was impressed with the size and number of slots. I saw attendants cleaning machines between players. Restroom also clean. We felt safe parking in the garage. I got a first time reward card bonus of $30 and my son got $100! That made the visit extra fun! I will return when I'm the area.

I want to begin by stating that I qualified to a tournament to the main event for the live PokerStars series. I drove 9 hours from Canada to be able to attend this event. Shortly apon my arrival to the area, another car ran a red light and hit my car as I was advancing to make a left during the advance signal, the police got involved and my car was towed away. The police drove me to the Live! Maryland casino so that I can gather my thoughts and make a decision as to what I should do. Right as I arrived, a security guard named Malcom informed me that I had to leave and that they had no rooms available. I totally understand not having availability. But what was the reason for being forced to leave after having to go through such unfortunate situations? This was the least hospitable I have ever felt staying at any casino resort. On top of that, Malcom said I could come back the next day. That would if this happened on the 21st, that 22nd would conform to being the next day. Not to Malcom, he said I could return to play in the tournament in the morning, then he changed his mind and decided I couldn't return for 24 hours, after the starting time. Edit: I got a response from the owner regarding this review. Stated that they were just trying to look out for my well-being. That really seems to be in line being forced to sit outside between and 11pm and 4 am in the morning outside in the cold after suffering a concussion. Classic way to look out for someone. Beware of staying at this resort. You might be thrown out for your own well-being.

Live Casino is fine. Plenty of parking, easy enough to get in and out of. I go there because sometimes my job holds meetings/trainings there; however, I walk through the casino to get to the place. It always looks well kept, the service is nice, the slot machines look brand new, and there's also a smoking section in there somewhere so you don't have to go outside (if that's your thing). Enjoy and remember to gamble responsibly. The house always wins eventually.

For a property of this caliber, I expected a more spectacular hotel room. Like many casino hotels, the room was fairly basic and lacked any real “wow” factor. The casino itself was a pleasant surprise—spacious with a good variety of machines and tables. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. One thing that felt a bit off: when someone wins, there’s a light flash or a pop-up on the player’s screen. While no names are disclosed, it seems like a tactic to keep others playing. Personally, I found it a little cringe-worthy. On the plus side, there was ample parking, a good selection of food options, and the mall being just steps away was a definite bonus for convenience and variety. Overall, it was a decent experience, but the hotel stay didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the rest of the property.

"Excellent" hotel with above average cleanliness and service. Pedestrian friendly to several restaurants and shopping. Location is convenient to BWI and surrounding Laurel/Silverspring aareas. My go to for future trips to this area.

Perfect place to visit! Admission is free, and parking is only $15, which is very reasonable for what you get to experience. The museum has an incredible selection of aircraft and helicopters on display, including the legendary Blackbird, the historic Kitty Hawk, the unique Oblique Wing research aircraft, and even the iconic Concorde. Each exhibit is well-presented, and you can get up close to the planes, making it both educational and exciting. There are also plenty of interactive displays and informative signs that explain the history and technology behind each aircraft, which makes it engaging for both kids and adults. One of the highlights is the observation area, where you can sit and watch planes taking off and landing—it’s such a fascinating experience, especially for aviation enthusiasts. The museum is well-maintained, clean, and easy to navigate, with friendly staff available to answer questions. It’s a great place for families, history buffs, and anyone curious about flight. You can easily spend a few hours here exploring everything. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

What a cool place. I've been to the National Air and Space museum in DC, but it has been a while. Just recently found out about this place and I just assumed it wouldn't be at quite the same level as the one in DC. I was wrong. It has a great selection of planes, jets, and other aircraft organized by ear. Several nice practical learning activities too. All of this without the hassle of getting around in downtown DC. My only complaint is that I wish they had some aircraft that were accessible. We recently visited a very small regional airport with a museum and were able to board and explore nearly all of their planes. I definitely recommend a visit!

This is a must see for any air or space enthusiasts. It’s about an hours by subway and bus from downtown DC - but well worth the trip. Walk right up to the Space Shuttle and an SR71 and hundred of other planes. We had an incredible 87 year old docent named Joe who gave us a free 2 hour tour. Joe brought personal experiences and detailed knowledge to all the planes and exhibits. Amazing.

One of the finest Aviation museums out there. Many one of a kind surviving airframes. The WW2 collection is impressive including many important German Airplanes which are top notch restored. Whenever I fly out of Dulles International I make sure to spend my time in this Museum. Admission is free, parking for 15$ with plenty of parking space available. Will continue to visit, the exhibition is changing regularly.

Amazing place to be even-though it’s not easy to reach there from the city. For those who have passion to fly or love planes, here is the place to be. Of course also for the ones who wanna know the history. There’s a free tour. The gentlemen will share their knowledge with the public. Wonderful!

Definitely one of the coolest museums that the DMV has to offer. Not as accessible to tourists because of its distance from downtown, but should definitely be on the short list for anyone visiting with a car. Parking will run you $15 and the museum itself is free. Even if you move relatively quickly, you'll find yourself here for about 3 hours. If you want to actually read a decent chunk of the plaques, you will easily find yourself here for 4+ hours. I recommend getting there first thing in the morning and heading straight to the space shuttle before the bulk of the crowd sets in.

Absolutely fantastic! The sheer size and scale of the museum can't be fully appreciated through a camera lens. Many iconic aircraft from TV and movies are on display in full scale—most notably the SR-71, Enola Gay, and the space shuttle Challenger. Admission is free, with a $15 parking fee that's well worth it.

Nestled at the meeting point of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is a stunning destination that blends natural beauty, American history, and outdoor adventure. Our visit last Saturday was a refreshing and rewarding experience filled with scenic views, rich heritage, and plenty of time outdoors. For those who love the outdoors, Harpers Ferry is a dream. The park boasts numerous trails for hiking and trekking, ranging from short scenic walks to more intense climbs. A few favorites: • Maryland Heights Trail – Challenging but offers the best view over the town and rivers. • Jefferson Rock Trail – A short hike to a historic spot where Thomas Jefferson once stood. • Appalachian Trail – Yes, a section of this iconic trail runs right through the park! Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just want a light nature walk, there’s something for every level of adventure. Be ready for a lot of walking, especially up hills and along uneven paths. The historic charm comes with some elevation, but the views and the ambiance more than make up for the effort.

It was my first time visiting and it was absolutely gorgeous. We did the Maryland heights hike, its been on my bucket list and im so glad to have gotten it done! The weather was beautiful, the leaves are turning, and it was quite busy bit it was also a Saturday morning!

Walked in from the visits center because parking in lower town is not available and the bus doesn't allow dog's. The walk is so amazing, along the Shenandoah River and railroad. Once your in town it is super quaint and beautiful. Had a nice lunch and walked is back. The stone steps leading back up the side of the hill are no joke.

Great experience. Arrived with our RV and had ample parking. Hopped on a shuttle leaving you at the base of town. Cute little taverns and shops. Adorable town. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and sad that the church was locked up. Why not leave it open for those of us wanting to spend some time inside praying? Cute town.

Just go! If you haven't been yet, you need to get there. So beautiful. Easy trails. So scenic and peaceful. Plenty of parking. And there's a free shuttle to the village. Loved it.

This parks is a must in this area plus visiting the little downtown. There is so much history and amazing views that you can spend a day easily. We just want to return and do hiking and keep exploring the park. Thanks so much to the employees that even without receiving a paycheck are willing to keep working and are keeping the park in an outstanding shape. You are real heros!

Great experience exploring and walking around this National Park. Parking can be difficult and there are many hills and stairs to climb to get to various areas. Overall a beautiful and well maintained site with lots of historical information and visuals.

We stopped in 30 Sept 2025 after engaging a tour guide for a “3 hour tour”, He had so much to tell us, he took 4 hours! Very informative and yet, so much could be said about the battles fought here. The Museum film and Cyclorama painting exhibit cost $40 for two seniors to see. The Cyclorama visit is timed but you can take your time walking the Museum. We visited the gift shop also. Tons of historical books there, along with glassware, magnets, and tasteful knickknacks. Lots of seniors and few school trips at this time of year.

Visiting this place was a very meaningful experience for me. There is so much to explore & learn. The video that is shown at the beginning of the museum tour was very well done, & the diorama experience was indescribable. Highly recommend for anyone interested in U.S. history.

We bought tickets for the diorama, movie and museum. Great experience overall! The movie was education and well presented, lasted about 15 minutes. The diorama visit is about 15 minutes as well and is worthwhile. The museum is huge, you could spend all day there. The gift shop is great. We left with toy rifles for the boys to do their own reenactment of the battles. The cafe offers delicious options, my only recommendation is they should offer more table for seating. They only had about 4-5 tables and that was not enough.

Gettysburg is a phenomenal historical site with more to see than the majority of visitors can get to in a short time. Just my personal practical advice, if you only have one day to visit the battlefield and don't want to hire a licensed guide, then the NPS auto tour is more than adequate. It is well marked, makes 16 stops at all the major highlights, and the audio & video segments do a great job. If you are more of an enthusiast and have 2 (or more) days, I recommend Carol Reardon & Tom Vossler's A Field Guide to Gettysburg. It lays out and thoroughly explains 37 stops. Taking a kind of combo approach, drive the auto tour with the Field Guide in hand. You get the shorter 16 stops, but the Field Guide gives you more depth and information at each spot. Plan on 2 to 4 hours on the battlefield itself and bring along a picnic and plenty of water. There's a lot to think about on this sacred ground. It's hard to stand anywhere in this peaceful, beautiful landscape and imagine the tragic carnage that happened here. But it's almost a spiritual kind of experience to try.

The museum has expanded and there was a special exhibit area. The Cyclorama is now an experience that starts with a film. Information is provided, directional markers have been installed so tou know where you are on the battlefield. The gift shop is nice and the grounds are lovely. You can take a bus tour to visit monunents or take the self guided audio tour. I highly recommend it, so much history.

Big thanks to those people who built this memorial place for those innocent victims.. I found myself so emotional and tears rolling down my eyes at the visitor center, learning more of what happened, listening to the audio recordings, seeing those found debris, and pictures of the victims and their information on that one unforgettable day.. They are the bravest heroes of the USA along with the others who helped 9/11 survivors... Don't ever forget them! 40 passengers and UA crew members + 1 unborn baby of the Flight 93. I honor them and may they rest in peace.. The Tower of Voices has a very beautiful structure. It wasn't windy that day, but I heard about 3 small chimes and it made me really happy and emotional. You can just even feel their presence there. Also a nice place to reflect and pray for them.. Thank you also to the 2 park staff who had a small talk with some people explaining more of what happened. They are very knowledgeable and nice. We were humbled by the care and attention to details that went into creating this monument to those to gave their lives to save others. This solemn graveyard speaks for those who met their fate on the clear September morning in the choice of materials and their arrangement and the surrounding gardens make for a peaceful respite. It was well worth the drive and an unforgettable experience.

An actual memorial that commemorates this dark time. It’s heavy but beautiful and heart wrenching. Please remember this is a place where our brave patriots lost their lives. This is hallowed ground and needs to be paid proper respect. Let’s Roll is forever etched in my heart.

Great memorial. Class of teenagers on school field trip while we were there. The teacher had them break up in groups and select a name off the memorial wall. They then had to look them up and tell the others about that person. Loved that the teacher made them see the names as real people. Cuddos to him! Have to admit we kind of followed them around. Learned things I didn't know.

Really enjoy visiting this memorial. They did an absolutely amazing job and made it non commercialized. We enjoyed every part of the exhibits. My only complaint is the fact that the sidewalks appear to be significantly damaged from snow removal. The wind chimes you mostly hear the clanking from the metal and not the tones. Will visit again.

Visited the Flight 93 National Memorial on a Wednesday in October—turns out the only thing open during a government shutdown is the wind! 🥶💨🧊 We braved the freezing temps and wind tunnel conditions to pay our respects at this powerful place. Couldn’t go inside the Visitor Center (thanks, shutdown 🙃🚪🔒), but we still saw the Tower of Voices (those wind chimes were working overtime! 🎶🌬️), the Wall of Names—each one a reminder of bravery and sacrifice 🕊️🙏—and the impact site marked by a giant boulder 🪨. Bonus: some local deer were hanging out, probably judging our choice of outerwear. 🦌🦌🧥 Shutdown or not, it was a moving experience. An amazing place to visit then pay your respects. I've never left for the dry eye. Take time to take in this amazing place couple things to keep in mind. If and when the president is coming to visit this location, the security is outstanding. Which means that you cannot get down to the lower section and the walk is locked. And normally there in the morning portion. So if you go around lunch time the parking is easier and you can take in everything without having a security issue. But if you are there when he is there, the tribute to the families is absolutely beautiful. Don't look at this as a vacation spot, or place to check off a bucket list. Look at this a place to thank God for the gifts that you have, the family is that you love that still with us. Antique pay respect to those who did lose their loved ones.

Parking was fairly easy with plenty of parking spots(if you selected a your time online and just show up for your scheduled time) if not parking can be much harder. Once you arrive you check in at the gate and then the pavilion at the desk in the middle and they will get you in the next tour regardless of scheduled time. The type was about an hour and it feels very scripted to stay on time. But you have time to go through parts of the house and all of the ground on your own. We found the experience to be very good and run very smoothly. The audio devices were good so you could always hear your guide even if you couldn't see them. Give this review a like 👍❤️ now please. And thanks for reading. There are restrooms at the pavilion but those are the only ones. There is a cafe with coffee and some light snacks. There is a building about the Kaufman's, if you don't know then go to that exhibit before or after your tour. There is is a gift shop with lots of stuff for your flw fix. Pro tip: Definitely but tickets online in advance for the best experience 💯

Book tickets ahead of time. Parking is easy, but you’ll need to wait for your scheduled entry. Restroom is available as well. It’s an easy walk around the site. I’ve always admired Frank Lloyd Wright’s work—Fallingwater is beautiful and unique, though it didn’t move me as much as some of his nearby designs. Still, worth visiting at least once for its remarkable setting and design.

Would have been 5 stars, but a third of the outdoor balconies are under renovation (new stucco and paint), detracting from FLW's elegant design. Didn't expect to need reservations during the fall shoulder season, but when we arrived at the gate we were told all tours were booked for the day! $20 per person to walk the grounds and the exterior of the buildings (there are two!) was well worth it, even though we didn't get to go inside.

Frank Lloyd Wright was a genius! I was fortunate enough to tour this on a ninth grade field trip; decades later privileged to revisit this architectural marvel. The harmony between nature and home, water actually runs through the home, with a pool, plunge pool, stairs that descend into the stream and of course, falling water. Step back in time to see how the ultra wealthy Kaufmann’s spent weekends or holidays outside of Pittsburgh. Original furnishings, appliances and priceless art await you as if you stepped back in time. The in-depth tour was exceptional; Ron C. and all the staff are rightfully passionate about the preservation and sharing of this one of a kind masterpiece! Recommend making reservations for tours well in advance. There is free dedicated parking. Please note the tours are not ADA friendly with uneven ground and narrow rock stairs.

So spectacular to see one of the most iconic homes ever built in person, again - the first time I was here was in June of 2020 and the health restrictions kept us from touring the inside, so this fall season view and inside tour of the magical Fallingwater masterpiece of Frank Lloyd Wright was all I'd hoped for and more! Frank's a family favorite, and I've toured many homes and displays of his work in NY, IL, VA, PA, OR, CA and AZ, but this one takes you to another place and time more distinctly. Hearing the little extra details of the family, their style, the furniture, the history from its construction to its endowment, and the maintenance of such a monstrous endeavor plus current renovations were all fascinating! The only thing that could possibly make it better was if it was a Bed & Breakfast and you could have your morning coffee with Frank and the owners themselves. To live in a FLW house must truly be a magical existence. I booked a tour, and recommend doing so in advance.

Stopped here while in the area. House and grounds tours were sold out so all we could do was the $20 property pass. It was well worth it. It was a beautiful day and we were able to follow the well marked paths, look in the windows and even walk on all the patios and porches of the home and carriage/guest house. The walk to the lookout is worth it as well. If you have any interest in FLW, or architecture, this is not to be missed.

We had a wonderful tour guide that provided information on this house & the that lived & vacation there. The house is amazing everything is be conserved to protect it for the future. The grounds were beautiful. Lots of trails to walk & explore. We tried but the rain wouldn’t cooperate. The have a nice cafe with drinks, bake goods & sandwiches.

I enjoyed this funicular side trip. The view at the top was nicest part of the trek. Crossing the street from the parking lot felt like a game of Frogger. Up top there’s a few touristy things to see, but not much. I’m biased because I’m comparing this with the many I’ve done in the EU. Overall it was a nice side adventure, but not much to write home about.

Ticket prices r great and it’s a really cool experience. It’s old time feel to it which is cool it’s like u stepped back in time which I always love that feeling. The only reason it’s 4 stars is because when we went their was a group of rowdy teens playing around in the car and shaking it the whole way up the hill making it a little scary to say the least and the staff did nothing about it. But we will definitely be returning again

I didn't enjoy my visit for several reasons: 1. You have to pay for parking, which costs $5 for 2 hours. 2. I came with my wife and kids (13, 10, and a baby in a stroller). It was very hot, and we all felt tired. We had to wait in a long line to buy tickets, and they only accept exact cash. 3. The staff were rude and unhelpful, with one lady shouting instructions through a microphone. 4. The gift shop at the top was small and sold trivial items. This place needs updating. They should accept credit card payments, have a website for advance ticket purchases, and add air conditioning—it was unbearably hot.

Make sure you have exact change in cash! $2.50 each way so $5 per person. No change or credit cards here. Great view of Pittsburgh and some cool spots to check out at the top of Mt Washington

Ride the cable car At Duquesne Incline and see the best views of downtown Pittsburgh So whenever you see pictures of Pittsburgh, I am sure you are looking it downtown with and cable car in the foreground. it is easily one of the best things to do in Pittsburgh. From the cars, there are great views out over the city. Once used to transport workers all the way back since the 1800s. they are still using two original 1877 cable cars, the Duquesne Incline is a working museum, with the upper station providing photos and displays on the history of the incline. at the top, you can also see the working mechanism, wheel, and all. I don't know if it is the norm, but there was a guide in our cabin and he gave a brief idea about incline history, and how it come into the picture. Duquesne Incline was rescued and restored by a group of local residents in 1963 and still delights residents and visitors with its original, elegant, wooden cable cars Parking: $10 and that's valid for 24 hours. Parking is more expensive than tickets which are just $5. You don't pay at the counter, you put the exact amount in a cylindrical box (nobody checks what you are putting in the container). a counter lady comes in a while and shoves it with a stick. i have never seen a system like this. if you want to experience a slice of the city’s long history, go for it.

Rode the incline up and down as part of an excellent sightseeing tour offered by Molly's Trolleys. There is a panoramic view at the top of Pittsburgh from the north side. The ride is in a no-frills vintage car and there are antique photos in the waiting area.

The ride is worth the wait. The view up top is good, but the ride from the from the back of the car is really unique. It is shaky and is not smooth, which made it a fun ride.

PNC Park is hands down one of the best ballparks in the country! Getting there is incredibly easy – it’s just a short walk from downtown Pittsburgh, and the area around the stadium is very walkable. Entry into the park was smooth and hassle-free, which made the whole experience even better. The ballpark itself is beautiful with plenty of concessions available throughout. As expected at a major league park, food and drinks are on the pricey side, but the variety of options makes it worth it. The views are absolutely spectacular – you get an amazing backdrop of downtown Pittsburgh and the river, which adds so much to the game-day atmosphere. Even if your seats aren’t the best, PNC Park has plenty of areas to move around and take in different perspectives of the game. From the outfield concourses to open standing areas, every angle seems to offer a great view. Overall, the combination of easy access, great amenities, and one-of-a-kind views make PNC Park a must-visit for any baseball fan or visitor to Pittsburgh.

The stadium has good history, atmosphere. Easy to walk to from nearby hotels. Very clean, staff friendly and accommodating. This was the only stadium that the usher wiped down my seat so far. We've been to several. Nice area, worth the trip. It was kind of confusing to walk around inside the stadium to check it out. Before we sat in our seats.

This is my favorite ball park. We travel the country just to see baseball stadiums. This is a great place. The view... the people. MLB has to do a better job with the food but the prices are below average and if you go when the gates open drinks were on happy hour prices. The ushers were great. This is the one ballpark that you want to sit higher up on the first base line so you have a great view. Normally I like to sit as close as I can to the field but the view is worth the sacrifice and the tickets are way cheaper. Take in as many games as you can while you're there.

Calling yourself the Best Ballpark in America takes some big ones. Being an SF Giants fan, I might have to disagree. I attended a Sunday afternoon game here, was a rather warm day, but my seats were soon in the shade and I was able to enjoy the rest of the game. The views are quite stunning, it’s a perfectly situated ballpark. My only complaint was that the concessions weren’t as special as the park.

The best baseball views in the country. The concourses are open and have lots of food and drinks available. Large bathrooms, easy to find seating. The exterior has lots of foor and bar options and the walk over the Clemente bridge makes for a great outing.

Best ballpark in the world with the best view of Pittsburgh! The employees are all very friendly- everyone at security, to the elevator operators or the vendors all make you feel immediately welcomed and seem very proud to work there. Be prepared to pay a lot for parking which is anywhere from $25-$40 on game day. The lots fill up quickly, so be prepared for a walk from the parking lots or garages surrounding the stadium. Food prices are also outrageous but there’s a lot of choices. I ordered the a slice of “world-famous” Caliente pizza which was huge and equivalent to two slices and cost $12 a slice. It was very good and also very greasy! All in all, if you’re a baseball fan, add this ballpark on your list to visit…you won’t be disappointed!

This is a beautiful park. It's clean and the staff were all friendly. Even the fans were kind and helpful. The surrounding area is nice and felt safe both before and after the game. There are a lot of great eateries and attractions around the stadium. The whole package makes for a great experience.

We had a wonderful experience. Even with different schools visiting the lines went quick. Everything was extremely clean. The only thing that I would say is that certain staff would let my daughter go down the sides by herself, as she is 48 in tall. However some staff when they switched over would not let her go without an adult. Other than that, there was so much to do. Not only is there a water park, but there's also an arcade. And there are lots of food courts and Quaker steak is attached to it. Play kids also love looking out over the balcony at the boogie board place and the wave pool. And they had so much fun at the boogie boards, and the instructors were so sweet. If they fell off too soon, the instructors would let them have another turn.

We had a great experience. A few things to keep in mind when visiting, take your own towels. It is a Cashless resort as well. Not a ton to do for your older kids/adults to do but still able to have some fun. The staircase for the water slides is a tight squeeze with inner tubes that all use the same stair case with 3 lines. All in all had a lovely experience, not enough lifeguards for all the areas. Definitely look for the best deals when going to enjoy the most for the least!

Found an amazing deal online! Included 4 passes for 2 days and an overnight stay! Staff was super friendly, facilities all very clean, kept the floors in bathrooms dry, and lots of places to sit. No long waits for slides and great kid area. Lifeguards watch and do their jobs. Arcade is huge. Only thing is food prices are a little steep.

Had a great time at Splash Lagoon with the family! It’s a classic indoor water park in Erie and perfect for kids and family members of all ages. Plenty of fun attractions, clean facilities, and a great way to spend the day together. Highly recommend for a family outing

Hotel GM offered only 5,000 points - no cleaning, no apology. Request: 1. Immediate health inspection 2. Force deep-clean or temporary shutdown 3. Public report so other families are warned

SENSORY DAY 2025 (Friday May 16th) We took advantage of sensory day at Splash Lagoon. They had a special rate for an overnight stay. We were able to stay overnight and 4 passes to the water park, plus we bought an extra pass because we are a family of 5. Check in day you can arrive as early at noon for the water park and 4pm for your hotel. Check.out day the Waterpark opens at 11am for hotel guests only and noon for everyone else, you are welcome to stay all day. Destiny, at the Wyndham front desk, was so professional and efficient. We got our wristbands and headed over to the Waterpark. We found the Waterpark to be so clean, the staff was plentiful and accommodating. This place is very well run. There are alot of lifeguards and they are very focused on the water and safety of the guests, but not rigid. The food at the café was about $12 per meal, burgers-pizza-hot dogs-fries-chicken tenders-ice cream. There is so much seating you will not have a problem finding a seat. Tables and chairs as well as pool chairs by the wave pool. There are bathrooms located throughout the park, changing areas, family changing as well. There are lockers to rent at a kiosk, very easy and affordable. **you do need your own towels, they do not provide them at this location ** The hotel was pretty nice for what we paid. Our room was on the 5th floor. We had 2 queen/full beds as well as a pull out. Plenty of pillows and towels. There is a jacuzzi tub that was big enough for me, my 8yo and 5yo to soak in together. We had a coffee table, and eating table, a desk, a swivel tv, a mini fridge and freezer, microwave and a small bar area with a coffee pot. Breakfast was your usual free breakfast. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffle makers, juice, fruit, breads. Lots of coffee. There was a ton of room to eat in the breakfast bar. The staff there were hustling and getting everything cleaned up as guests turned over. Overall, this was a great stay.

Took our kids there as a weekend getaway and they absolutely loved it! They are talking about making reservations again they had so much fun. Their favorite thing to do was the surf simulator, the staff there Saturday was great with kids encouraged them to do their best followed by high fives and the urge to try again! All staff seemed friendly, restrooms and changing rooms were very well maintained and clean, floors we're kept as dry as possible to prevent fall hazards. We will definitely be going again

We had a quick stop before heading home. Beautiful park! Definitely want to come back and explore when we have more time. There are 6 different beaches entrances, 3 different piers, ferry rides and even a park. Beautiful!

Presque Isle State Park is an absolute gem along Lake Erie! The park is beautifully maintained, with clean restrooms, plenty of walking and biking trails, and several gorgeous beaches to choose from. Beach 6 and Beach 8 are the most popular, offering calm lakeshore waters perfect for families and a relaxing swim. My favorite is Beach 10 — the water there is crystal clear with open waves, giving it a more adventurous and refreshing feel. It’s a fantastic spot to just sit back, enjoy the breeze, and watch the waves roll in. Best of all, entry to the park is completely free! I highly recommend bringing your own food and turning it into a picnic — it’s the perfect way to spend a day by the beach.

Presque Isle was magnificent! I’m sure it’s super packed on the summer, but ours was a fall visit and while it was busy, it was not too bad! Great foot and bike paths. Lots of beach area, the water was great and the lighthouse didn’t disappoint even though it was closed. This was recommended from a friend and I’m so glad we went! Definitely worth the trip if you are within an hour or two drive.

This is seriously one of those places you visit and cznt wait to come too. Super safe, there's always rangers/ law enforcement driving around. Clean, with lots of garbage cans and restroom areas. I grew up around Lake Erie and I still get pleasantly surprised at how clear the water is at these beaches. Great place to grab Primanti Brothers and spend the afternoon.

I suggest everyone go! Beautiful views, nice beaches, clean, and a lot of areas for parking and easy access. Nice drive, beautiful fall colors, and lots of small things to do. Playgrounds, bathrooms, and parking all year. We were able to get out and in easily. Found lots of seashells and my littles had a blast. Take extra clothes, kids don't care if its cold!

It is absolutely beautiful here. I love view. It's nice sand to walk in, we had a great time! Free to go, and you can rent boats. I think they are pet friendly as well. I didn't go anywhere other than the beach area, so I'm not sure about restrooms, picnic areas, or playground.

The water was very shallow at beach 7, only up to hip height on an adult. We considered bringing floats but I was glad we didn't. I don't know for sure but we saw nobody using them &after being told we couldn't pass a pool football in the water I doubt floats would be allowed. Not the lake adventure we're used to &not what we were looking for. Beautiful area &you can see through the water all the way out to the buoy perimeter.

Great place to bring kids to, lot of different war time planes to see. There are 2-3 different types of aircrafts where the kids can go in and even sit in the cockpit. Lot of historical information related to specific planes and the role they played during various wars. They have 2 propeller planes which offer the opportunity to fly in them as well. They also have free flight simulators which are a lot of fun. There is a small merchandise shop which is nice. There is ample parking. overall lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Overall must visit place for anyone interested in WWII, Canadian history and aviation history.

Great place to learn about Canada's contribution to the world wars. Minus one star for the aged and disabled who wish to visit the open flight deck but have to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Thanks to all the young and experienced cadets who are really impressive with their product knowledge. The restorers and engineers are doing an amazing job fixing up this rare collection. The Runway cafe is really good value with all the usual fast-food you'd expect. And acknowledgment to the pilots who give their passengers an unforgettable experience

Excellent place to visit and see the planes and learn how they were helpful to RCAF in defending sovereignty of our country. Interactive videos of decorated airforce personnel, who are not amongst us but the museum has kept them to see and learn about their lives. Place worth visiting.

We had our wedding here in October 2025. Stevie-Jane couldn’t have been more accommodating and easy to deal with. She communicated everything to us clearly and set expectations appropriately!! The day went as smooth as can be! All of our guests said the venue was so unique and fun! If you’re looking for a unique, and classy wedding venue, this is the place to be!!

What an awesome place. My 13 yr old wants to be a pilot and just being there with him was such a great experience. There was a large group of air cadets when we were there so we could not get a guide, but the self guided tour of the museum was fine. Would absolutely recommend to any plane enthusiasts and also anyone wanting to see some really neat Canadian history. Very well maintained, I really loved seeing these planes being restored, just awesome important work! Would definitely go back

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is more than just a museum – it’s an experience. What I loved most was the hands-on aspect. Unlike many museums where everything is kept behind ropes, here you actually get to climb into cockpits and explore the interiors of some of the aircraft.
