Von Stiehl Winery, located in Forestville, Wisconsin, is a historic winery that has been producing wines since 1967. Situated on an estate that has been in the Schmiling family for over a century, it is known as the oldest mercantile vineyard in Door County. The winery offers over 40 varietals and provides wine tastings where visitors can learn about their European-style underground wine cellar.
We had a group of 10 take a tour and wine Tasting, Peggy was Fantastic, loved all her stories and was very knowledgeable about the history and family of Von Stiehl Winery Thank you for a great day ! 4-13-25

The reds. Ohhhhh, the reds.. Probably the best reds in WI, in our opinion. Have always done tastings to try the offerings as much as we can. The tasting staff is always very nice and make the visit! Our favorite is Sallie- knows her stuff and very kind and casual like all the other servers. Apparently, she is only working part time now 😒 So many great wines, with beer/cider/bourbon options within a very short walking distance. A MUST STOP IF YOU NEVER HAVE!!!
Andy W — Google review
I visited both the cidery and the winery and I highly recommend both of them. On a Sunday the cidery was not busy at all. There was one bartender and one couple sitting at the bar. I recommend getting a cider flight. The Brandy old fashioned cider was amazing. I also enjoyed the lavender cider. There is some outside seating but I got swarmed by bees as soon as I stepped outside with my cider so that is something to be aware of. When you step into the winery it truly feels like you're in a beautiful historic building. I'm not a wine professional by any means but they had some very delicious wines. There is a huge selection for people with all tastes. I recommend taking a look around upstairs as well. Parking wasn't terribly plentiful. There are options across the street and a small lot I believe at the winery itself.

Von Stiehl is hands-down the best winery in Door County—technically Kewaunee County, but they outshine them all. Their wines are consistently exceptional, with a balance and character that rival anything I’ve tasted across the country. I was heartbroken to hear their Frambois was discontinued—it was truly one of my all-time favorites—but every bottle I’ve tried from them has been outstanding. I’ve visited wineries from California to the East Coast, and I’d still rank Von Stiehl easily in my top ten nationwide. The quality, care, and craftsmanship are unmistakable, and the sense of history behind every bottle makes the experience even richer. Wisconsin should be proud to have a winery of this caliber—Von Stiehl is a true gem. Pictures include some of my first visits back in 2006 thru 'modern times'. Lol (and I WOULD PAY $50...or more, not sure what my ceiling would be...for a bottle of the aged-in-oak Frambois!! ☺️)

We were told THIS was the place to go and indeed it was! Most delicious variety and our taste tester extraordinaire Janel was so helpful! Highly recommend a visit (and purchase)!
Jamie L — Google review
Quaint little place to relax and play board games. I came with a tour group and I don't drink alcohol so I went to the Cider House while everyone else toured the winery. Echo was very friendly and the N/A cherry cider was delicious. 🍒
Wendy B — Google review
Absolutely wonderful experience here! Eileen was our server yesterday and she was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were all delightful. Didn’t have any that I didn’t like. The tasting room was clean and nicely decorated. Will visit again!!
Jill Q — Google review
Very welcoming environment in a building on the National Historic Register. Outdoor seating available too. They have ongoing activities and events. And of course the fruit wines (including cherry!) are tasty. Would recommend doing a tasting to see what you like. The staff will help you out but it's very popular so you might have to give them a minute - just like a busy restaurant.

This place has smoked salmon and trout, also had shrimp and different sea food. They also had Door County milk chocolate covered cherry, dry cherry, butter cherry jam. They smoked all fish on site. Best smoke house in Algoma.

Such good fish. Always a huge variety. And the staff is very helpful.
Lina M — Google review
The best smoked salmon I have ever had. My favorite is the Tuscan garlic. It is so moist and flavorful. The brown sugar smoked salmon is my second favorite. The staff was very friendly and courteous. If going to/or through Algoma, WI, Bearcat's is a must stop for smoked fish, raw, frozen, and/or dips!
Jacob B — Google review
Great place with incredible fish. LOVE the Brown Sugar Smoked Salmon, but not always available because of demand. The BEST customer service...always fast with hard-working and friendly workers. Don't be surprised if there's a waiting line. Business is non-stop. Worth the stop if you're anywhere near the area.
Vicki K — Google review
My wife and I have been here a few times and there seafood selection is great. As we are from the East coast finding good seafood is not easy in Wisconsin. I recently bought a full fillet of smoked salmon to bring back to NY and our family and friends could not get enough of it, They now want us to ship it to them. And the folks that took care of us were awesome.
Chip R — Google review
We tried to get some fish from another place up in Door County but it was closed for the season. Saw the sign for this place. Had decent reviews so why not? Glad we checked it out. Has a large variety of frozen seafood to choose from. Has a decent amount of smoked fish too. Definitely going to be a stop on our way back from Door County again.
Nijaal M — Google review
Great Place for Smoked Fish. For Salmon they have the usual - lemon pepper, Maple brown sugar, Cajun, smoked only, and my new favorite - Garlic Tuscan spices. Went back 2 days later a bought some more. Great place for fresh perch as well.
Mr C — Google review
Please bring back the Whitefish Sausage that is advertised on the website. Very much enjoying the two different smoked salmon varieties we'd purchased. Can't wait to come back and try their other offerings.

Fantastic winery! Well worth the trip. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, the wine selections are incredible. Make certain to try Frozen Tundra in any of it's variants!

We went mid day on a Monday. Unclear where to enter. Signage was nonexistent. We had to holler for someone to come out. When she finally did, she was not friendly and offered no history or description of the wines or the winery. I did a $10 tasting, which included 4 shot glasses of my choice. I chose dry reds and one semi sweet. My husband did a $10 tasting of the whites. We also bought some rye chips and a small tub of cheese spread. We sat outside, which was nice, overlooking the vineyards, except for the uneven and seemingly unfinished patio that really needed to be weeded. Now for the wine.... very underwhelming! None of the 4 that I tried had much flavor or body. I just kept saying, "This is so watery!" My husband did not care for the whites either. We paid nearly$40 and didn't even have a full glass of wine. 😬 We are not wine snobs, we just know what we like, and this was NOT it! 🤷‍♀️
Monice K — Google review
Enjoyed the wine tasting. Good variety for what we like. I will agree with another poster to be careful if you are purchasing with credit card. They do turn it toward you for suggested tip and it automatically goes off of the price of the wine you purchased. I don't tip 20% at the grocery store, so I'm not tipping on my purchase. I will tip on the tasting and helpfulness.
Jeanne C — Google review
We absolutely love this winery. We love Steve's and Maria's wine so much that we sign up to be members and can't wait every 3 months what delicious wines we will pick up. We always enjoy to sit on a patio and sip some delicious wine. Talk to Steve, Maria or Margaret is always big plus. The vineyard is so pretty and you can walk through. This is our favourite winery in Wisconsin
Radka L — Google review
I'm a sweet wine person and very honestly, the 3 I samples are some of the best I've tasted. I'm a person who simply goes by what I like and no wine expert and I really liked these! Also they have great multi bottle discounts that start lower than the 12 bottle minimum. On top of that they have a wine club to receive quarterly bottles of winemaker's choice at a 25% discount. I didn't taste dry wines but highly recommend you give the winery a try.
Linda W — Google review
Nice winery with a nice outdoor space. Tastings cost $10 for four two oz. Pours. We also had a cheese plate that was nice. Friendly staff as well.
Luke S — Google review
My wife and I stopped here after I finished the long roadwalk on the Ice Age Trail which goes right by this winery. We were there on a Monday and had the place to ourselves. My wife and I both enjoyed our flights and we both selected a few bottles to buy. We also had a bag of the Corsican toasts with a garlic herb cheese spread both of which went well with the wine. There were very nice outdoor seating areas but only limited indoor seating. The staff was very friendly. Overall, a nice stop.

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling 600-acre urban refuge, making it one of the largest in the state. It offers free tours and live animal exhibits for families to enjoy. The sanctuary features easily accessible picnic areas, educational displays, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing opportunities across its 535 acres. Visitors can also take a short walk or drive to Bay Beach Amusement Park for some extra fun.
This place was great and we will be returning soon! 🦆 The employees were so friendly, informative and helpful and the corn for feeding ducks/geese is affordable. The trails are well maintained and go well with the water features, bridges and natural staircases. There is plenty of parking and the indoor educational spaces/wildlife exhibits are wonderful. Thank you to everyone who works/helps out here! 🌲
Aria G — Google review
This is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary that has free access to the public and has hundreds of acres of land to explore. From rocky waterfalls and watching birds grab fish out the water, to seeing *literally* Hundreds and hundreds of ducks and geese walk around, Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a place to go to get outdoors and feel in nature with anybody. Solo, with your partner or with friends. It’s a fun time no matter who goes with. I can guarantee you it will be one of the most memorable spots that’ll live rent free in your head. DID I MENTION YOU CAN PAY TO FEED THE HUNDREDS OF DUCKS AND GEESE? WOOHOO!!!
Alex S — Google review
For the price of FREE. We couldn't ask for more. You are very much immersed into the wildlife. (And with wildlife comes poop everywhere so be prepared!) But its so cool to get up and personal with them. And 90% of it is outdoors so its a nice outdoor walk at the same time. They do have a couple indoor areas as well. The bridge to feed ducks gets PACKED easily though.
Brooke S — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit here for the first time! It was way bigger than I expected and such a nice place for free. It was a very pretty walk and the paths were large so we brought our wagon. There were 2 buildings to go in with more animals to see and in one of them we bought bag of corn to feed the geese and ducks. I would definitely recommend stopping here!
Katie — Google review
This place is amazing. It would be easy to spend days exploring everything. We were expecting to have to pay some kind of entry fee but everything was free. Unless you want to purchase corn to feed the water foul. (I highly recommend getting a few bags) Beautiful and relaxing place to visit.
JoeyLynne P — Google review
Always go here to just take a walk, but also to check out the animals. I actually save my egg cartons and toilet paper tubes for the otters. Love this place. I also donated my parrot cage here after she passed .
Kayla C — Google review
A wonderful place for all ages. Love that they rescue these animals and provide a safe place for them. Great exhibits inside and walking trails.

Bay Beach Amusement Park, situated at the mouth of Fox River near the Bay of Green Bay, has been a go-to destination for family fun for over a hundred years. The park offers an array of amenities including indoor and outdoor rentals, picnic shelters, and beach shelters. Visitors can enjoy a variety of thrilling rides suitable for all ages such as bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, giant slides, and the famous Zippin Pippin Roller Coaster.
This park is truly one of the gems of the Green Bay area—affordable, family-friendly, and packed with charm. There’s ample parking, so getting in and out is a breeze. The grounds are clean and well maintained, with plenty of shaded spots and seating areas to relax. There are pavilions available for rent, which makes it perfect for group gatherings or celebrations. The rides are thoughtfully designed for children, making it a great spot for younger families. Ticket prices are extremely reasonable at just $0.25 each, with rides ranging from free to 4 tickets per person. We spent about 4 hours here and only spent around $30 total on tickets and snacks—amazing value! Wait times for rides were short and kept things moving smoothly. All in all, a delightful place to spend an afternoon without breaking the bank.
Meng T — Google review
Amazing place with so much fun stuff for the kids to do. We stopped as a rest point on a larger trip and it was perfect. Super cheap rides and food. Free and plentiful parking, no entry fee etc. We will definitely be back!
Tara W — Google review
We went on a Wednesday and had so much fun. Tickets are only 25 cents each and for 11 of us we only spent $30 on rides for the whole day. The toddler rides are free Tues-Thursdays so we didn't need tickets for those since we went on a Wednesday. The older kids rode rides multiple times and had a blast. The food we felt was was kind of expensive due to the fact that you didn't get much food for what you paid for and the food was bland. One of our favorite parts of the park was the inclusive playground. It was kind of a far walk from the roller coaster, but they are in the works of building a train ride that takes you over to the park. We all had a blast at the park and everyone loved the zip lines. I would definitely recommend this amusement park. It is free to enter, tickets are cheap, and you can bring your own food in, which I would recommend.
Charlese S — Google review
Clean and appears well maintained with plenty of staff. Rides are really a bargain and geared perfectly for younger kids. Family friendly fun for anyone on a budget. Right on the bay and next to wildlife sanctuary for a good wind down walk.
Greg S — Google review
An absolute gem that has delighted families for generations. The park is well maintained and affordable to all. There are rides for kids of all ages with small or no lines making everything even more enjoyable. I highly recommend bringing your kids and grandkids to enjoy all the park has to offer.
Jim B — Google review
What a great place!!! So affordable!!! Stopped for a few hours of fun before Packer Family Night, purchased $40 in tickets (which gave us 160) for a family of 6. Kids went on quite a few rides and adults even enjoyed a few. Left and still had tickets but figured since we were spending the night we'd stop back in the morning for more fun. Stayed for another almost 2 hours and enjoyed more of the higher ticket rides because lines weren't as long because of just opening. Ended up giving away the 76 tickets we had left to a family on their way into the park so we could head home. Concessions are even very reasonable. Very enjoyable!!!
Nancy S — Google review
Go on a yearly basis. If you have children bay beach is an awesome place to go. Plenty of rides and also very affordable! Everything is very fairly priced down to the concessions. Will continue to go back till the kids get too old.
Grizzly G — Google review
If you are ever in Green Bay this is must see! Awesome place to take the kids or an awesome date. Enjoy the cheap rides .25 cents per ticket and the whole family can have fun for under $40 dollars and also great prices on the concessions.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame & Museum is a must-visit for football enthusiasts and budget-conscious travelers in Green Bay. This two-level tribute to the local Super Bowl-winning team features high-tech exhibits showcasing legendary figures like Vince Lombardi, Curly Lambeau, George Calhoun, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers. Visitors can also explore the outdoor Lambeau Field and take a stadium tour to see the locker rooms and press box.
Visited on 6.24.2025. Green Bay is the mecca of football and visiting the Packers Hall of Fame is a must. I am a New York Jets fan and I felt honored to tour Lambeau Field and appreciate the history of one if the NFL' storied franchises. Highly Recommend to anybody that enjoys football.
Rick W — Google review
You can't go wrong at Lambeau! What's not to love here, like seriously. The atrium, gift shop, and restaurant are open to general public. We opted to get some combo tickets for the hall of fame and the legendary tour. It did not disappoint! We spent about an hour in the hall of fame and thats not enough time to see all the videos or read all the awesome facts. The legendary tour was amazing! Being able to go to different areas of the stadium that are normally off limits was so cool! Coming out the tunnel, being down on the sidelines, all of it is a must see.
Amber — Google review
I'm not a Packers fan, but my in-laws are die-hard! We strolled in here a few hours before the game and I was able to get a discount for being a student. I thought the history of the Packers was really cool. And, to think they had such humble beginnings. What an empire it's turned into! You don't have to be a Packers fan to appreciate the history. It was all laid out so well. I enjoyed the chronology of the exhibits because it made the information more easily digestible. Very beautifully designed, incorporating authentic Packers gear and trophies, and very well-planned!
Melinda — Google review
If you haven't been there regardless of who is your football team this place is a place every football lover should see. This amazing facility is like no other. The dedication that they took making sure the history is told correctly and respectfully is like nothing else. I have great respect for the GreenBay Packers and all the people responsible for telling the amazing story of Mr. Vince Lombardi and the beautiful Lombardi trophy! Had an amazing time and learned a great deal of history. Thank you GreenBay we love you!
Cathi N — Google review
While I’m not a fan, I appreciate the history of the Packers. This museum brought back some memories of watching the Favre and Rodger’s games. It was great to see Sterling Sharpe getting some love.
Mike W — Google review
As an Eagles fan (Go Birds) who was born and raised in Chicago, I didn't want to like anything Packers. But...not only did I like the Hall of Fame and Museum, I loved it. There is no question, Lambeau is football Mecca, and this part of the experience is amazing. This place is for all fans of football and is a gold standard for a team's pride and history. If you happen to be in Green Bay for business or a game, please do the tour and HOF. You will not be sorry.
Bill L — Google review
If you happen to be in Green Bay. You must stop by the Packers shrine, Lambeau Field. On my bucket list and I wasn't disappointed. Tours to see behind the frozen tundra, locker room, on field and in the stands. The tour was ninety minutes long. The Packer Hall of fame is awesome! So much history. A souvenir shop and a large restaurant to boot. First class tour.
Bruce Z — Google review
If you are going to see a game at Lambeau, you have to take the tour and see the HOF! It is worth the price of admission! Also, try to book the trolley tour in advance!

This place is absolutely amazing! If you ever get the chance to see ot in person you must! Whether your a Packers Fan or not this is a must see. Every thing about it is amazing , the food is incredible, and the prices are reasonable. This was on our bucket list trips and was the best. Everyone there was super nice and very very clean. I love that!
Cathi N — Google review
How can you even properly rate Lambeau as a extreme packer fan? Lambeau is a first rate venue with the roots that go back to the 60s. Great updates throughout the years, huge atrium with a great restaurant. A tour is a must for any NFL fan. Be sure to enter the gate they give you, especially for upper level. Otherwise you will never find it. I have been to nearly two thirds of NFL stadiums and this one is one of the easiest to navigate.
Nick C — Google review
The atmosphere on game days is unmatched!!! You'll find Wisconsinites tailgating and having a great time with lots of food and beer, if that's your thing. People are so friendly, staff is so helpful here, and it's always a great time. The Pro Shop is big and nicely laid out, well organized, and eye catching.
Katie — Google review
We went to our first Packer game!! And we even saw friends. We went to a tailgate before and checked out a bit of the grounds too. We sat at the North end zone and had a great experience. It was fun to be in such a hallowed sports venue, and I’m looking forward to getting back again soon. The ticketing process was pretty easy, it was the longest line for a men’s restroom I’ve ever seen. And as long as you park at a house with easy out on Oneida and leave at the two minute warning, you won’t hit traffic.
David P — Google review
Bucket list! It was a great experience at Lambeau. We went to a game and then did a full stadium tour the next day! Our tour guide Jeff was super friendly! We had a great time there. Anyone visiting different stadiums, this is one to go to!
Brianna A — Google review
I enjoyed going to the Green Bay Packers game at the stadium. I do not like that. They do not offer free bench seat covers or some sort of better offering for comfort while sitting down for any games. You pay a lot of money to attend an event, and they can’t even provide adequate comfortability. The food vendors are extremely expensive, but in comparison to other football arenas that I have went to. In order to get in, staff are relatively inefficient and not quick to expedite people‘s arrivals.
Syd W — Google review
Lambeau Field was an incredible experience! It’s amazing to finally check off a true bucket list item and visit such a historic stadium. The atmosphere was electric, and both Eagles and Packers fans were great—friendly, passionate, and full of energy. Overall, I had an awesome time and hope to be back again one day!
Chris R — Google review
What they say is true, packer fans are welcoming and friendly, we had a great time here (GO BIRDS). Stadium overall was ok, I'd likely give it 3 stars (bench seats, bleacher style) and super steep steps, we even had to help an elderly lady "climb" back up when leaving. Beverage and food pricing seemed reasonable and the entry/ exit was smooth

The zoo offers several activities like gemstone mining and giraffe feeding for an additional cost, as well as a gift shop. Visitors can enjoy walking trails and picnic areas outside the main entrance. All proceeds from admissions, concessions, etc.
What a great zoo, especially for smaller children! Despite being a smaller zoo, we did not feel as though there wasn't enough to see. We loved the focus on local wildlife and how educational our visit was. Our toddler enjoyed the playgrounds, which were a great addition to the zoo, and we were very happy to be able to get slashes and ice cream from the dining area on such a hot day. My favorite animal was the moose, because i have never seen one before! I also loved the bird enclosure, and was surprised to see the bald eagle! The crows and snowy owls were also great to visit. It's nice to visit a zoo with so many birds! If we make it back, we will definitely visit the adventure park to take the canopy tour!

The New Zoo & Adventure Park is a great place to visit when you're in Green Bay. It's open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There's a gift shop and restaurant, and a a lot of extras and attractions for those with children, especially seasonally. This is one of the only zoos we frequent and we enjoy it every time as adults.

So let me start by saying, our trip got held up in several places and we didn't get there until about an hour before close.. I'm not going to say I was expecting a discounted rate, but I know other places that do that, especially when the weather was as bad as it was and 75% of the animals were already indoors. But that's fine, I knew the prices when we planned the trip. Unfortunately, it was raining, cold, and the animals were over it. Most were inside, we missed the last giraffe feeding by 20 minutes, and the only animal we heard was a Peacock. None of those thing were the zoo's fault though. We have every intention to come back and make a day of it since the adventure park is open now. The zoo looked well kept, pens had everything the animals could want, great variety of animals, and a person full of information at every post. Everyone was extremely friendly, even though we came so close to close and my kids took forever in the gift shop. Will adjust my rating and update review after we get the full experience.

Being only a short drive from home it was definitely worth it. Kiddos always have fun looking at the animals! I like that they do have some North American animals also. I kinda wish they would have some more reptiles but just my opinion. There is a nice picnic area across the street with playground so the kids can burn off energy before heading home. Will go again!
Grizzly G — Google review
It was a great experience! The animal enclosures appear to be well maintained, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and it is the perfect size zoo for a short to medium length stay. There were only a few animals that we were not able to see because they were hiding. I got some great pictures and memories.
Angie K — Google review
This is a great zoo! There were plenty of animals to see and you could get pretty close to most exhibits. It was very clean and the animals looked very well taken care of. The admission price was reasonable compared to other zoos and parking was free. The staff walking around was friendly and informative about the animals! We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!

Nice little zoo, got in for half price with reciprocity from our Shedd Aquarium membership so it was $34.50 for our family of 6 (I don't think full price would have been worth the cost). I like the size/walkability of the zoo, but the layout is a little bit odd and the map wasn't the most helpful so that's the main reason I gave 4 stars. But our kids ages 10-15 all seemed to enjoy the trip.
Nikki K — Google review
If you are looking for a more personal experience at a zoo, this is the place! Admission was reasonable, free parking, and lots of animals to see. The canopy tour and zip line course are great touches as well. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Nice place. We were there to visit a small Harry Houdini exhibit. Nice display. They do give away some secrets of his tricks, but nice to visit if nearby.
Bob L — Google review
I was really excited because it’s in a castle . The inside architecture doesn’t look antique at all. I was very disappointed. The museum was not what I was expecting . It wasn’t at all anything special. I wouldn’t go out of my way to ever go again. (Came from 3 hours away) It was $12 a person and just not worth it There is so much space that isn’t utilized. All four of us walked away disappointed
Liz F — Google review
It was ok, the only part I actually understood why it was there was the houdini exhibit on the third floor and the historical pieces of the 19th century. There were too many pieces that were confusing and didn't make sense in the museum in my opinion. We paid 12 dollars per person all adults in case anyone is curious on prices...very cool architecture and I would recommend the back story from the clerk that was offered but we forgot to circle back and ask!
XiraSK0625 — Google review
I've been wanting to stop by forever but the timing was never right. I'm so glad I was able to get inside this time. There's so much to see! A very good selection of historical records for the city of Appleton. The building is an awesome piece of architecture for sure, I really enjoyed the woodwork, windows and fireplace downstairs. The Houdini exhibit was a pleasure. There are a really good selection of hands on things to do that made it all so much fun. The "Stone of Hope: Black Experience in the Fox Cities" was put together very well and I really enjoyed all the pictures. I'm a visual person, so there's never enough pictures😃. The stories on the display flowed along nicely. You should stop by, the whole family can find something to enjoy and it only takes about an hour and a half.
Amy H — Google review
Very interesting building for the museum! Had a great time in the Houdini exhibit. It was unlike anything I’ve done in a museum before!
Sarah P — Google review
One of the smaller museums we have visited. They were a little skimpy on exhibits. Our favorite parts were the Houdini hands on exhibits and the architecture of the building. It was worth the price of admission for the fun we had here. We only spent about 30 minutes here. We expected more based on how big the building appears on the outside.
Wanderfish — Google review
It was a good time for kids in the Hudini area. It was informational very hands on. We had fun picking locks and finding out how some tricks were performed. Great exhibition for the whole family. The other exhibits were a bit disappointing. I enjoy history deeply but at the time we visited all the history was just presented in text. Large banners and walls filled with words. The kiddos and young adults did not engage with the content presented in this manner. The information contained in was fantastic but not delivered well. That part was disappointing. The building itself was beautiful and probably my favorite part of the whole visit.
Tonya F — Google review
Nice little museum. Limited of course given the size of Appleton, but everything exhibited was very well done and informative. We especially liked the Harry Houdini exhibit and it was very extensive and interactive. My grandkids loved performing some of the magic tricks! They even explained how he did some of most famous tricks. That exhibit was worth the price of admission!

I went for the killer of kill tony. I Feel like anywhere in the balconies were the way go. All the staff was very professional and extremely helpful. Thank you.

Absolutely stunning interior. Can't get over how beautiful it was. Perfect location. There's plenty to do within walking distance if you don't want to wait for the parking ramp traffic to subside. Only complaint is there was nowhere to purchase a bottle of water during a graduation ceremony. You'd think they'd make a lot of money if they sold water bottles, soda and simple concession items.
Brittaney M — Google review
We came to watch Beauty & the Beast. While the musical was amazing. I was very disappointed in the fact that we didn't have much time to use the bathroom and there were lines and then come to find out, if we didn't get to our seats before they closed the doors we would have to wait until they deemed it was ok to let us back in. I understand that is for the other patrons but for the price you charge, I would expect a bit more courteous behavior towards the customers. The prices for water, wine and snacks are OUTRAGEOUS. Make sure you eat beforehand.
Stephany B — Google review
Love this venue! Not a bad seat in the house. Every show I have seen is top-notch and so much fun! The staff is so helpful and polite. I highly recommend! You’ll love it!

Great venue, all seats have a good unobstructed view of the stage. Lots of parking, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. Really good acoustics to. Only down side that I see is wheelchair access is very limited. So be sure you specify this when you buy tickets.
Steve V — Google review
Loved it! Easy parking right across the street, great seats no matter where you sit, workers were friendly & helpful, line for drinks & bathroom at intermission moved quickly, prices reasonable. Had a great time. Can't wait to come back!
Lynne F — Google review
First time at this venue, & the Killer Queen Experience was an incredibly amazing show! Only negative was the endlessly long rows of seating (we were directly in the middle, front row, 1st balcony section). It was a long way to inch through the multitude of people seated to get to our spots. Once there, we didn't dare try to get out, so we were stuck for the duration, unable to leave for a drink or bathroom break. Very clastrophobic feeling. Never again, would I purchase tickets in similar seats. A break in the middle area for access out would make show-goers much safer & more comfortable.

Hearthstone Historic House Museum

The Hearthstone Historic House Museum, formerly known as the Henry J. Rogers House, is a remarkable 19th-century residence in Appleton, Wisconsin. It was the first house in the world to be powered by a centrally located hydroelectric station using the Edison system. Today, it has been transformed into a museum that offers guided tours and exhibits showcasing its historical significance.
First visit. Such a great experience! We took the traditional tour around the museum during the Holidays, the house is decorated so beautifully with Christmas ornaments. Truly beautiful no matter where one looks. Our guide Lori was wonderful, she is very knowledgeable and threw in fun facts during the tour. Each room has its own charm and the history of the house is very interesting. The staff is also very friendly, we had a great time from beginning to end!
Denisse L — Google review
Our family had a truly wonderful experience at the Hearthstone Historic House Museum. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully preserved architecture and the rich history inside the home. What really made the visit exceptional, though, was our tour guide, George. George was absolutely phenomenal—knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly patient with our four boys, who had a lot of questions. He answered every one of them with kindness and enthusiasm, turning the tour into a memorable learning experience for all of us. His passion for the history of the home and the people who lived there really brought everything to life. We were very impressed with the museum itself—each room is carefully curated and full of fascinating artifacts. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend a visit. It’s a gem of a museum, and if you’re lucky enough to have George as your guide, you’re in for a real treat.

We did the tour of this house today....and are so happy we decided to stop by. Our tour guide was very friendly, and she knew so much about this place. This house is incredibly beautiful, and you can tell that a LOT of love and care went into building and restoring this beautiful example of high end late 1800s homes. The story behind this house is worth the tour alone, and getting to actually walk through it was a real treat. If you find yourself in Appleton, and have a couple of hours to kill, we definitely recommend stopping by and taking the tour....it is totally worth it.

We were recommended to visit from our friend and realtor Marissa Miller. We purchased our tickets online about an hour prior to our start time. George welcomed us immediately and was so friendly! Our tour guide Juli was phenomenal! She was just as welcoming and kind as George and did a great job! So much history to learn not only about the house but also Appleton as a whole. Highly recommend stopping in if you can!

For fans of true crime and history who crave something unique this is, without question, the best interactive tour available. If you want a tour that respects the subject matter while delivering a truly unforgettable, top-tier event, you must go to the serial killer tour times. The entire experience is thrilling. Easily one of the best experiences of our lives so far!! I loved it and he loved it!! You all did so good 🥰🥰🥰🥰 our young detective was eccentric in all the right ways perfectly fit for his role! As well as everyone else but I don’t wanna spoil it for you!

What an amazing place. The tour states that it's about an hour, but you could tell how in love the house and the history our house was, and th tour was about an hour and 45 mins. Every detail of the house is preserved and it's fascinating that through varied ownership how much remained original. Even though the items displayed aren't specifically original to the house it's all time period correct, and donated from locals to showcase their respect for the house. Room to room there is so much to see in every corner. Our guide knew every knook of the house, gave time for photos, and really wanted to ensure each member on the tour had time to appreciate the environment around them. Entry was around 12$s per person and I saw comments saying it was pricey in some reviews. You can't eat at Burger King for that price, or see a film. This is well worth the money but knowing it preserves such a beautiful landmark is more than enough for the asking admission.

Beautiful, well kept historic property! The guided tour was very nice and we gleaned a lot of information. I recommend this highly to history lovers. There are also hands on exhibits for youngsters at the end of the tour in the basement.

MORE, So Much More inside.... museum, restaurant, bar, antique store, and YES, Harleys and Harley merchandise to bring home. Something for everyone to enjoy!!!! We were there an easy 2 hours... And, it's FREE

Doc's Harley-Davidson in Bonduel, Wisconsin, is more than just a motorcycle dealership—it's a unique destination. Alongside an impressive collection of classic motorcycles and muscle cars in their free museum, you'll find a small zoo, a pirate ship, and even a motorcycle Ferris wheel. With a restaurant on-site, it’s a great spot for both motorcycle enthusiasts and families looking for a fun, unexpected adventure. A must-visit if you're in the area!
Ashley K — Google review
Love it here!!! I used to come way back when it was smaller and they had a pig roaming around. Now they have so many animals and have expanded a lot. Animals are fun to see. Stopped in at the restaurant and ate good food! Its a great experience for all ages. We will always continue to go!
Amanda V — Google review
We stopped in with the kids (ages 6-13) on a rainy day during the homeward leg of a long road trip. What a strange, cool, bizarre, random, fun, interesting, inspiring place. It's a Harley dealership / zoo / museum / restaurant, all rolled into one. They've got so much random, cool stuff here it's almost impossible to list it all. Let me give you a smattering: historical motorcycles, classic cars, a boat/car from the 50s, a 5-seat motorcycle, snow motorcycles, a 150-year-old baby carriage, wooly mammoth tusk, petrified wood, T-rex footprint, pirate ship, Viking ship, 2 other modern ships, a motorcycle ferris wheel, alligators, tortoises, alpacas, camel, donkeys, cows, goats, kangaroos, parrots, ferrets, pythons, bunnies... It's strange, bizarre, and wonderful all at once. Plus, all the displays have humorous, tongue-in-cheek hand-written descriptions that will make you love it even more. I figured we'd stop in quick with the kids for 15-20 minutes to check it out. An hour later and they were still going strong. I highly recommend this odd place for anyone tired of boring, staid, overly-professional tourist stops. So much fun.
Jake S — Google review
When we pulled up, we were amazed at all the stuff they had. The people at the store were very informative about the history, museum, art, animals, and everything else they had. You could literally stay here for hours walking around and checking out the property. Will be coming back here sometime.

DOC'S HARLEY – What an experience! This dealership is something else — so well laid out, and the attention to detail is next level. The petting zoo was such a fun touch, but what truly blew me away was Doc’s Museum. From the incredible collection of vehicles and bikes to the creativity on display — everything made out of motorcycle parts: a Ferris wheel, bathroom doors, ceiling fans, chairs… you name it! Absolutely AMAZING. If you’re ever in the area, this place is a must-see. Thank you from Crystal, all the way from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦

Arenas & Stadiums
Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium is a superb 5,500-seat baseball arena that serves as the home ground for Wisconsin Timber Rattlers minor league team. Beyond its primary purpose, this field has the potential to be utilized for various other events. Despite soaring temperatures reaching nearly 90 degrees, finding a shaded area under the main stand was hassle-free. The stadium's cleanliness is highly commendable; even the restrooms are immaculate.
Great place to bring your family. They have birthday kids that throw out the first ball. Silly games during intermission and flying objects into the stands from t-shirts to tires, to even bratwurst. At night they have fireworks. Very nice team store and reasonable prices except for this little bitty 1 x 2 1/2 packet of sunscreen if you forgot yours. That was $3.00 and it wouldn't cover my granddaughters one leg much less two, so don't forget the sunscreen.

It was a very fun experience. It was my first Minor league game. The TimberRattlers won, so we all went home happy. The stadium is nice and clean, the staff is very friendly I guessed the attendance correctly when they asked on the screen. We had a very good time. 10/10 would recommend going.

I took a group of 15 people to a ballgame here and it was great. Plenty of parking, friendly staff. We had seats just dehind the visitor dugout, and everyone said it was really close to the field. At the concession stand we had a little bit of a wait, but I'm fine with that because they make your food after your order. The food was hot and delicious. Prices are very affordable. I would definitely recomend this venue to anyone, and I will do this again my group.

We got here waaaay too late, lol. Thought it was open until 5, but it's actually only open until 3 on Saturdays, so we only had maybe 15 minutes to go through. We'll have to come back again because I'm thinking an hour would be more appropriate to see everything. Very nostalgic, lots of artifacts, and some incredibly unique artwork! You can sample several flavors here, we had the butterscotch and the black cherry, and both were fantastic. There is also popcorn. Not sure if there is anything else, as they were closing up and we were doing our best to hurry and not make them stay late. From what we did get to see, we will definitely return. There are several flavors they make that I'd be interested in purchasing (watermelon and Door County black cherry stood out to me). Well worth checking out! There's a Pokemon Gym on the grounds, but I don't believe there were any Pokestops.

WONDERFUL story of a family owned business that has grown and still ensures that their local area has special treatment. True American success story. Tour is free.

This was the best way to spend my 30th birthday! Dalles and Smokey Falls were my favorite to conquer 🤩 🚣‍♀️🌊 Very accommodating with gear and rentals. Wonderful, wholesome people. I love the signable board, and the campsites especially. Will definitely be back for more fun on the river! 😃
Amanda B — Google review
We did Otter Slide to Smokey Falls with the water above 800 CFS on 7/6/25. The trip only took us 2.5 hours which was great! I would suggest doing this trip with high water if you have rafted or kayaked before, are athletic and can keep the raft going straight through the rapids and the falls, so you don't flip or get ejected from the raft. Also, it is very important that you are sitting on the floor of the raft when going over the falls otherwise you may get bucked off! 😂 Your safety is 100% on you, so don't just show up and get on the ride... Wear a helmet, life jacket and a wetsuit. The wetsuit was great for keeping the horse flies off and it will protect you from getting hurt by a rock if you do fall in the water. You could get seriously hurt on this run, but if you do everything right it's fine. So take the time to read the instructions, follow them and practice your skills in the first 30 minutes of the run, so that you are ready for the rapids and the falls. It felt great accomplishing this run! I will admit that is was a little scary, but so much fun!!!!😆🤩🌊 In my opinion this route is NOT for first timers unless you don't care about getting hurt physically or emotionally. Urgent Care is 20 minutes away in Antigo.

I called ahead of time and they were so happy to answer all of my questions and give suggestions. Let us know what we should wear and bring. When we got there they were all so very nice and personable. I recommend this adventure to everyone!! You and your kids will have a blast, we laughed and enjoyed every minute of it!

This was well worth the $35! We’re from out of state and hadn’t rafted the wolf river before. We called a few days in advance and they were helpful answering all of our questions. It wasn’t crowded at all and they were efficient in setting us up when we arrived. The actual river is just gorgeous. The rapids were fun but not too intense. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. We all agreed to come back again another year!
Kira L — Google review
The most terrified I have ever been my entire life, and I've jumped out of a plane twice. To start we signed a waiver. The only instructions spoken to us were to use common sense. After the van ride to the river the driver threw the rafts off and said "the river is 1/4 mile that way." The rafts were heavy with nothing to hold on to. It was just me and my husband in a raft and 2 other people in a different raft. 3 first timers. I was pretty much in tears going through the rapids. Luckily, we didn't flip, but the other two people did. They were wearing helmets and life vests, but because of the current, the vests did nothing. They hit many rocks underneath the water, including their heads hitting the rocks. Luckily, they were wearing helmets. However, they didn’t require you wear helmet or even bring helmets with! Vests were required to bring but not wear. The other couple lost their paddles during the flip which happened within the first hour. They also ended up walking the raft through the woods because they couldn't take another near death experience. Honestly, they had angels watching over them for sure. More should have been explained and advised against first time rafters and kids. We passed a few groups that had kids, I couldn't believe it! I felt it was all about the buck and not safety. Don't recommend unless it's a drought or you want a near death experience and something to talk about. The calm parts were a blast! But they were few and far between.
Megan K — Google review
A beautiful campground with very friendly faces. We had a great weekend here. There are lots of falls to raft down and plenty of landings with hiking opportunities and sight seeing.
Alysa M — Google review
We went rafting at the end of the season (Sept 2024) and the water was really low. We had a large group of 11 of us with kids ranging in 10,12,13. 3 of us fell out of the rafts down different falls and experienced flash drowning. We had life jackets on and helmets but the water current was taking each of us down under. It was so very scary. We were all beginners and haven’t went white water rafting before. There are no guides that go with you to assist if you fall out. We ended up not finishing the trip as the experiences falling in and the water current taking you under and experiencing flash drowning was so incredibly scary. I’m sharing this as just awareness for other beginners. Find a place that has a guide with you to help you navigate the waters and if you fall out.
Tim P — Google review
Great rafting outfitter. Friendly people who will make sure you get set up properly. Most of the offerings are 2 or 3 people rafts with canoe paddles. They offer a 'lazy river' trip that takes 2 - 3 hours that features a few rapids (folks tube, so not too intense). They also offer a longer trip of about 4 - 5 hours. This longer one includes 2 falls and more rapids. Of my group of 6, 4 folks got tossed out of their boats, but everyone got back in and had a great time. Would highly recommend!

River side camping was fun. If you want quiet time I would recommend camping away from river side. Set up earlier if you have a big rig on the riverside. It seems to fill up quickly with lots of groups. Campground seems very nice overall. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It’s clean. The washrooms are clean there dump was a little more level. A fun place to go stay for the weekend with lots of people.

We've gone tubing there for many years and it's always fun the longer trip is definitely worth it while the shorter trip last about an hour. The staff has always been friendly and the bus trip is fun.

We had an amazing time at Wolf River Trips and Campground! From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth and enjoyable. The check-in process was incredibly easy and well-organized, which made settling in stress-free. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and clearly take pride in what they do—they made us feel welcome right away. One of the biggest highlights was how clean the bathrooms were. You can tell they stay on top of maintenance and cleanliness, which is a huge plus when camping. It’s rare to find campground facilities that are this well taken care of. The food was another unexpected bonus! Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying something more hearty, everything we had was tasty and well-prepared. It really added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of the trip. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, easy, and clean outdoor getaway with great people and good food!

Our family had a great time at Wolf River Trips & Campground! The staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The check-in process was smooth, and we were impressed right away by how clean and well-kept the grounds were. Our campsite was easy to access, and came with a picnic table and fire ring—perfect for evenings around the campfire. The bathrooms and showers were spotless (a huge plus compared to many other campgrounds we’ve visited), and the laundry area was a nice convenience. The highlight for us was definitely the river tubing trip. The staff handled all the shuttles and made it so easy, and floating down the Little Wolf River was peaceful, fun, and safe for the whole family. They also have a centrally located playground, volleyball court, basketball hoops, a bags and ladder toss area as well as horseshoes. After a day on the river, we had dinner at the Upper Deck Bar & Grill. The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive. We met several seasonal campers there who all had very good things to say about the new owners. We went during the week which was nice since it wasn't crowded and there was very little wait time for food orders, shuttle rides and the tubing was leisurely and pleasant. We’re already planning our next trip back and would highly recommend Wolf River Trips & Campground.

Great time and even better to do with friends! I only did the river trip and enjoyed a short trip with a group of 5. Very affordable and fun to have a tube for your cooler as well! It is difficult when the water level is low, so make sure to have a sturdy pair of flip flops to kick off rocks

This was my 1st experience with tubing at this location. We really had a great time, the tubes were very comfortable and I loved how we were able to clip them all together as a group.

Modern rooms & suites in a sleek property featuring a sprawling casino, spa & multiple restaurants.
They are currently in the middle of an upgrade. I went once and received $40 bonus plays and weekly free gifts after one visit. Also free rooms based on day of play. Great customer service. The food is basic in the Embers restaurant, yet still enjoyable. The omelet station for the breakfast buffet is a nice touch.

Each camp site has water, electricity, picnic table, fire pit,and black water waste tanks at each sit. Nice place to camp and have a gambling restaurant to go to just steps away.

Casino was older looking. Bars are big and the tenders where Happy. Blackjack was fun it was nice to see a 5 dollars min bet. Dealers where nice I enjoyed paying. Crab legs buffet was not worth the money.Crab legs where small and you could only take two clusters at a time. Besides crab was over cooked little meat a lot of water. Salad bar was alright only a choice of two different salad dressing. All the workers where very kind. I was hoping for better food.
Jeffrey M — Google review
I went for the buffet. It was garbage. The crab was discolored. They only gave you two at a time the mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of a box same as the rice. The desserts tasted like they were left in our fridge for days prior to the buffet, it was ultimately the worst buffet I’ve ever been to, which is very disappointing because I love to eat.
Darrick K — Google review
The breakfast check in staff needs a restraining on customer service and processes. At 9:45 they are telling people the wait is so long they may not get seated turning away business. The breakfast ends at 11 am! Really? They hand out buzzers to notify people but then buzz people out of order! I recommend to retrain the restaurant check in staff on how to better service your customers, not turning customers away, and a process that is efficient in checking in people. They were still seating people at 10:45 but turned away dozens of people. DO BETTER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!! Your casino needs a good cleaning and maintenance!! I cannot believe how much repairs are visible needing to be done and your slot stools and seating look terrible. Most I sat in were cracked and torn. It's bad enough that you do not pay out when I am here but use my money lost to maintain your business and train staff to better service your customers.
RICK R — Google review
Do not go off of the monthly flyers they send out. Most of their employees don't even know what it is meant to say. 2 different kinds of Salsa is served by the poor staff (( not their fault)) Monthly drink specials and you have 2 remind them what it is. No courtesy fridges in your rooms anymore.. Wow.. Alot of the customers I interacted with were just as disappointed as I was. I wouldn't recommend driving out of your way 2 stay. Sadly I don't recommend this one anymore P.S. With 5. Floors of rooms & they don't even open their main restaurant. Friday,Saturday and Sundays read the fine print ( OH wait they don't advertise this. Also I did walk out ahead in my Gambling adventure but it didn't really make me smile. We won't be back. Disappointing Birthday celebration for my Man

Recently, I spent about 1 1/2 days visiting the area and casino. I decided to stay overnight. The room cost was $144.50 with a players card. The entire property is beautiful! The rooms are gorgeous. I highly recommend this casino/hotel. The reasons I did not give a 5 star review are free play could have been a bit more generous, discount on food would have been nice and my first room had no hot water.
Diane R — Google review
In short this is a fully automated casino, no human dealers, but its clean, pleasant, and honestly if your just looking for a fun time with a few friends its more than enough. The long story is simple - no human dealers is just boring and the entertainment is as average as it can be but its clean, safe, and afforded me some fun. Myself and a large group had some free time one Saturday evening and decided to visit. It was clean and safe which if you've ever visited casinos that operate in more rural areas earns a star on its own. Now I have grief with that its not advertised anywhere that they don't have human dealers. On top of that there's one automated roulette table, one automated blackjack table, and one automated craps table. Besides that its all slots. If I wanted to sit 5 feet apart from my friends while an AI generated dealer deals me cards on a giant screen I'd just do it at home on my phone. On top of this one of the automated blackjack terminals (idk what to call it but a spot at the big automated table) broke with 80 dollars of my friends money in it and it took staff 20 minutes to resolve the issue despite even talking to someone at security. Staff was generally nice outside the usual young adult/teenage angst which could be found at the restaurants. The food from the restaurants is severely overpriced with a McDonalds down the road but I do concede its good just overpriced. I did not stay at the hotel so I have no notes for there except that parking is abundant which is nice. Now beside those grievances it really was pleasant. Some people won money some people lost it, felt generally average for a casino. the slots had good diversity and I got to watch a few bonuses and small jackpots occur while I was there. I enjoyed myself enough I'd give the location 4 stars if they just advertised the lack of human dealers - not doing so is a little manipulative and should be addressed which is sad because outside that it really is such a nice location considering its a little out there. Or if you're going to be fully automated give me a few more blackjack, roulette, and craps tables - waiting in line essentially to play blackjack is as fun as watching someone else play with your present on Christmas.

Stevens Point Brewery, located in Stevens Point, WI, is one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the United States. The brewery offers regular tours where visitors can witness the beer-making process, explore the warehouse, and sample a variety of craft beers, ciders, and soda. Additionally, they are known for their Snow Pilot beer and offer convenient curb-side pickup.
What a fun place! The tour costs $10 and you get drink tickets and a glass worth over $20 total. Great vibe to the place. It’s the second oldest continuously run brewery in the US!

Loved the huge selection of beers and ciders. We went on a tour and it was interesting but wished it had a little more history of the brewery rather than general info about beer. Live music outside on the day we went so that was great. Got to sit outside, enjoy the beautiful day, and there were even a few pups outside with their families too. Will go again!

We took the 1PM tour with Pierce! He was awesome! Highly recommend if you are in the area. So much history to learn about this place! Also, great selection of beer. We sat outside to enjoy the weather for a while! We will definitely come back!

I have been through Steven’s Point many times. This was our first time stopping at the Point Brewery… Why did I wait so long??!! It’s a cool little stop in a residential neighborhood that seems like an unexpected area for a brewery. We stopped in just to see the place. We didn’t have time for the tour, but wanted to check out the buildings, tasting room retail shop. Let’s just say… this place is worth a stop. Our recommendation . Buy the tour ticket for $10. You get a free pint glass and 4 sample coupons. Get your self four 7oz samples in the tasting room which is perfect. And less expensive since a sample costs $6 on its own if you buy it at the bar. If you don’t use the sample coupons you can turn them in for a bottle of beer in the gift shop. Two coupons gets you one bottle. The tasting room is reminiscent of an old world bar and worth the stop on its own. There is a large outside area for sitting with great tables, and ambiance. Stop in at the point brewery. Worth your time even if going a few miles out of the way. And, you can get their beer by the bottle or case in the retail shop. And they have many varieties. More than I ever knew!!

Great place to learn and sample. $10.00 tour, 4 samples and a souvenir glass, can’t be beat! There’s a small gift shop, an outdoor beer garden and a really nice bar. Plenty of beer and cider varieties to try.

We attended a Suprise birthday party here for a family member last Sunday. We found the Tap Room cool and inviting - a great place to take your friends and have a beer and watch an event on one of their large TVs. The tap room was connected with both their gift shop and a large, indoor eating room, which looked out through a wall of windows and doors to a private, fenced in area, where we had our private event. The tap room offers a selection of beer and tasty sodas, plus pizza and a few snacks. Reasonable prices! We were allowed to bring our own food for our party. The outdoor area was fenced in and featured both tables and sturdy chairs in the under roof patio area, plus some picnic tables under umbrellas in the grassy area. The facility offered corn hole games and a huge Jenga set for the kids to play with. Good service from the friendly staff made the event easy to happen. Clean bathrooms. Wheel chair accessible. I wish we lived closer because I'd make it a point to drop by occasionally.

This is one of my favorite brewery tours. It’s fun for all ages. You get a pint glass and get to sample beer, cider or sodas. I did not make a reservation for the tour but it’s recommended. Outdoor patio is fantastic. Carry in food is allowed.

The Stevens Point Sculpture Park is a 20-acre outdoor art exhibit connected to the Green Circle trail. It features a scenic walking trail with various sculptures by local, national, and international artists. The park offers rotating environmental exhibits and educational programs, making it an enjoyable place to visit in Stevens Point. Visitors can take a leisurely walk through the wooded area to observe the quirky and beautiful art installations placed at different stops along the well-groomed gravel trail.
Loved this little trail and sculpture park. The whole green circle looks like a fantastic bunch of trails and spots. The sculptures were great and we really enjoyed the little hand drawn banners from local elementary schools - it was a great touch. Would love to come back on our next drive through Wisconsin!
Megan A — Google review
It’s free to visit. Parking is ample. Art is subject to the viewer so some may really enjoy and some may not. The walk itself was enjoyable but the amount of mosquitos makes the walk slightly unbearable. I found some of the sculptures to be a little on the weirder side with pretentious signs explaining the artists meaning behind the sculpture. I found a few of the sculptures to be very well made and unique while others in my opinion were odd and out of place with no real thought put into them. I think this place is one best formed with your own opinion, all depends on what you like to look at.
Heather F — Google review
I visited the sculpture park while in town on business. What a gem! I enjoyed a serene walk through the woods while admiring the artwork. As with all art, some pieces spoke to me more than others. I particularly liked the artwork that focused on nature and blended seamlessly with the surroundings. The trail was well maintained and the path had no major hills, so it is easy to walk. I encountered a few other visitors with bikes and dogs. It takes an hour or less to see everything. I highly recommend visiting this local treasure spot!

This was a great option to stop at along a road trip route to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. The park is kept up very nicely, and has a nice clear walking path. Unfortunately for me the mosquitoes were very bad during our time so I ended up cutting my walk short because I didn’t think to take bug spray.

The last few performances I’ve been to here have had horrible sound issues. One live band ( The Wallflowers) had such loud bass and vocals were so quiet. Could not hear the vocals, the mic was screeching a few times And the bass was blasting for an acoustic rock band set. Tonight we saw cirque Christmas and there was a 1 hour delay because of the sound cutting out. We had to leave at intermission because it was so late. I’ve had friends go to other shows this year and had similar experiences. Not worth the money- which is unfortunate because the people they book are talented but their performance is affected by the sound. And lighting is often too bright and shining in your eyes when u are trying to see these talented acrobats do their thing. The

Great place to go for some amazing collection of Wisconsin cheese and cheese curds, not too far from the highway, must try.
Parth B — Google review
I agree with others—the cheese curds at Mullins are no longer what they used to be. These aren't the fresh, squeaky curds we’ve loved for years. Instead, they’re now sliced blocks of cheese, and they actually suggest microwaving them to "get the squeak" back. What the heck?! At over $6 a pound, I expect fresh, quality curds—not this disappointing substitute. Sadly, Mullins just isn’t the same anymore, and I won’t be making it a regular stop going forward. They’ve built a new, much larger store that feels more like a tourist attraction than the traditional, small-town cheese factory it once was. Even the scrap ends were over $5 a pound. Unfortunately, it’s no longer the place to go for delicious, authentic curds.
Courtney J — Google review
I love the variety of different cheeses and cheese curds they have. Each person in my family likes something different, and there's always something for each of us.The fresh fried cheese curds are the best. I love that there's more flavored ones now. Granite Peak Ski Area

Ski & Snowboard Areas
Nestled in the heart of Wausau, Wisconsin, Granite Peak Ski Area is a winter wonderland for snow sports enthusiasts. With over 200 acres of terrain and more than 70 runs, this ski resort caters to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. From beginners to seasoned pros, everyone can carve their way down the slopes and experience the thrill of navigating powdery terrain.
As a recent transplant to St. Louis from California, I was skeptical about finding a ski area within a day's drive that could offer real vertical and fun runs. After doing some research, I decided Granite Peak, Wisconsin— a seven-hour drive — was my best option, and it didn’t disappoint. This was my first time skiing at a Midwest resort, and I spent three days there during Christmas week. It was absolutely worth the trip. The snowmaking and grooming were excellent, with about three feet of snow on the slopes, and there were plenty of great cruisers to choose from. I’m an advanced-intermediate skier, and while none of the runs were overly difficult, they were still a lot of fun. I was able to lap runs easily and rack up a lot of vertical throughout the day. The terrain is steeper at the top and mellows out nicely toward the bottom, offering a good variety. Night skiing is included with the day pass, which makes it an even better value. The staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the resort sits right next to Wausau with all the accommodations and dining options I could want. The whole area felt like a winter wonderland, and the views from the top — looking out over the flat Wisconsin River Valley and the lights of Wausau — made the experience even more memorable. While I was a little disappointed that the entire mountain wasn’t open (it opened fully the week after Christmas), everything that was open was fantastic. I did notice a lot of beginners near the base area, so it’s important to use some caution where all the runs converge. However, once the full mountain is open — including the two chairs on the west and east side of the mountain that serve primarily intermediate and advanced runs — the skier traffic will spread out significantly. This will help minimize congestion at the bottom and provides more options to avoid beginner areas altogether. Overall, I had an incredible time and plan to make Granite Peak a bi-annual trip, fitting it in before my yearly two-week ski trip out west.

WOW I love this Ski Area!! There are so many hill to go down hill from beginner to expert ski. I love the one hill with long and very steep hill because I go down REALLY FAST!!! AWESOME!! I did see one hill have for Snow Skier to do jump trick. There is one lift chair (next to building to left) go pretty steady and slow. While the other lift chair (next to building to right) was going pretty fast. I like that speed so I can get going. I do like their Ski store they have with variety ski outfits and magnet. The tickets line was good but I wish I didn't have to go to window to get my ticket. It would be nice to have a machine outside to scan QR code then it will print ticket out. When I get to ski lift gate to scan my ticket I sometime have problems to scan my ticket thru my Ski coat. I like their Bar restaurant and Cafe place to eat. It seems pretty expensive. I thought it was interesting Cafe offer DISCOUNT for season pass when order foods or drinks. While Bar restaurant doesn't offer one. lastly, one strange fee cost is that at Cafe I don't get E&A FEE at all. While Bar Restaurant does charge me E&A FEE.

We had a spectacular day weather wise for the fall lift ride. The crew running the lift were friendly and very courteous. Very helpful to anyone who needed assistance seating on the lift or exiting the lift. The young lady that was at the ticket booth was very friendly and helpful as well. We will definitely be back again next year!

Always come here in March or April when closer resorts are done for the season. Usually after a snowstorm. Always great conditions. Newer amenities. Fast lifts. General atmosphere reminds me of DH which I also love but bigger, with faster lifts and newer everything. These pictures taken on March 20th

If was great. This was the first time on the Lucy without skis. You can get on on top and walk a few trails.

Had to switch plans at the last minute because Cascade was sold out and I now say we are lucky that was the case. Granite Peak was a lot of fun. Great variety of runs, low wait times, friendly staff and a beautiful area. Indoor facilities including dining and bar were decent quality and good service. Will definitely go back.

Nice base area, fast lifts Granite is a great Wisconsin ski hill. Can get a lot of skiing done with the fast lifts and one with mid mountain load/unload so you can lap the steeps or lower mountain. Paved parking lot is a plus.

When I say I always heard of this place of seen certain metal work around the area far did I know this was the Artist. Right in Marshfield. The couple is so nice and genuine. I enjoyed their humor and stories. Words can’t begin to describe how wonderful and amazing this place is the talent this couple has a mind you no piece he has done is the same. I encourage anyone and everyone to go check this place out. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Real raw talent here.

Clyde and Nancy are absolutely amazing hosts. Their lifetime work is just unbelievable. PS: ask Clyde for the water bottle rocket!

Please go see this while you can! The artists live and work adjacent to the shop and park. They are true gems not to be missed.(we drove over 2.5 hours to visit!

What a unique place! So many different sculptures to look at and admire. If the owner is there, he will give you a tour and show you some of his "moving" parts sculptures. A must see and a place definitely worth going out of the way to see! There is also a shop where you can purchase some of his wife's beautiful creations!

I come to Marshfield at least once a year during the summer. This is always on my to do list. The gentleman and lady that own and run the place are super nice. It's sort of like an interactive museum, but the exhibits are for sale. Remember to turn on Sugarbush. There's no signs for the place as far as I noticed.

Well worth your time to see. Walked through the at first and it was fun or as some say whimsical. Then talked to the owners and the husband takes you on a tour with funny stories based on the characters he has built out of scrap metals. After that we Walked through again and you notice more things tucked in that you missed the first time. Well worth the time.

This is just a fun place no matter what the age. The gentleman who owns it and tells the stories is a hoot. Just love it there.

Wildwood Zoo

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Park
Easygoing locale with gardens, natural habitats & a drive-through exhibit of large animals.
A great little stop if you’re in the area and want to stretch your legs! This FREE zoo isn’t huge, but it’s well-kept and has 20+ animals—maybe more. We spent about 35 minutes walking through and really enjoyed the interactive water education area. It’s air-conditioned (which was a lifesaver in the nearly 100-degree heat) and full of fun, hands-on activities for kids, like buttons to make clouds rain and blockades to change water flow. We didn’t catch the bears due to the heat, but there was still plenty to see. Definitely worth a visit for a short, family-friendly outing.

We had a wonderful time at the zoo! 🦅🐻 You can see an amazing variety of wildlife, including majestic bald eagles, Kodiak and Alaska bears, playful foxes, and so much more. The place feels so fresh and open, with clean paths and plenty of shady spots to enjoy. It’s a great place to explore nature, learn about the animals, and just relax with family or friends. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a fun, refreshing outdoor experience! 🌿✨

We have been going since before we had kids, and our oldest is 16. The zoo has gotten better and better, more animals, more exhibits, more great, helpful staff but has remained an awesome place to visit. Feeding the deer was an amazing experience 20+ years ago and our children are still amazed by it; now they get to feed the giraffes they were loving it. The parakeet exhibit was a hit too. The birds were so friendly, landed on everyone, everywhere, but nipped a little too. Our youngest didn't want to leave the exhibit, let alone the zoo. Even though it was raining. Totally worth it!

Normally not a huge fan of zoos. This is a refuge and rehab that is beautiful. The animals are well supported and exhibit normal behaviors! The Kodiak exhibit is incredible. Well worth the beautiful walk through the small park!

Very small but nice zoo. Not a whole lot of animals but what was there was neat to see. The cats were mostly hiding due to the hot day. The bear enclosure was cool to watch, they seemed very happy. Only took about 2 hours of a slow walk. There is an indoor children’s activity center but we did not checkout. Very much worth stopping and giving a donation to.

This was a great place to stretch our legs on our road trip. The free zoo has a walking part and a driving section. There were only 2 groups of animals on the driving section. The habitats are nice for a smaller zoo.
J R — Google review
We made a trip here before making our drive back home. Admission is free. Paths made easy for wheelchair to explore. Benches provided if you want to just sit and enjoy the nature surroundings. We didn’t get to see a lot of the animals at the time on our visit but we enjoyed the peaceful walk through.

This zoo and hiking trails were very nice to have near the hotel we were at for the week. We visited a couple times to explore the area. Very well maintained and friendly people everywhere.

Lake Wissota State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Park with 1,000+ acres of forest & prairie plus a swimming lake, hiking, biking & horseback trails.
We stayed at site 19. It was a good size, quiet, just a couple sites down from the vault toilets (which were very clean), and right next to a water spout. I noticed a lot of large, dead branches hanging which worried me but the site was mostly flat (aside from a couple large tree roots my toddler kept tripping over) so lots of space to put a tent to avoid being directly under the branches. The showers looked nice though I did not use them. The playground was pretty small but clean. The beach had a big area to lay towels. Overall, I enjoyed staying here and visiting Chippewa Falls. I will definitely be coming back to this state park! Also, barely any bugs when we went at the end of May and we saw no ticks!!

Sites are very wooded and private. The campground was very peaceful! A gorgeous quick walk to the lakeshore via stairs behind the play area. We only stayed one night passing through in our RV. As a non-resident, I found it pretty pricey with all the fees and parking costs. 🚻 Bathrooms/shower facility renovations finished May 2025. • Very nice and clean • Free showers with reservation • Nice and warm water 💰Reservation Cost Electric Site: $38/night Non-resident Fee: $15 Reservation Fee: $7.95 $16 parking fee for 1 night Total 1-Night: $76.95 If staying multiple days, parking fee does have a max. I believe around $30. 🪵 Firewood • Available via host (cash only) • Purchase station near restroom facility (card only) Sue, the campground host, was very kind and helpful. She’s been the host for over 9yrs!

The park is quiet, well kept and a nice spot surrounded by woods. It was an enjoyable stay. There is a nice amount of space between campsites. The outer ring allows your camper to tuck under trees and provides nice shade. The shower facilities were very clean. The campground is between the Zumbro river and the native animal zoo. All of it is really in great shape and an interesting place to explore.

We stayed at Lake Wissota State Park for four days during weekdays, and it was super peaceful and very quiet. Very few dogs and little barking. Campsites are very clean and a good size. Electric hookup was the standard 15, 30 & 50 amp breaker box. The park is very large and meandering with the beach very far from most campsites, as is the boat launch. We did have one bear tick while at the park. It was caught before digging in. The main park restrooms have recently been redone and are very nice. The kids' play area is so new that the ground hasn't seeded out yet. The only negative is the almost complete lack of cellular signal on the northwest side of the park. Signal is strongest by the beach and boat landing, but there are no campsites close to that. If you have a cell phone booster, you may get a good signal. There is a lot to do in the area, including golf, shopping in Chippewa, super clubs, wineries such as Autumn Harvest, berry picking at Connell's. There are not a lot of walking trails as you'd see at other state parks, but it's a very nice park.

Amazing group camping spot, ours had electricity and a shelter, the ground was all slanted, but we made it work. There is plenty of shade and breeze. Wish there were flush bathrooms and showers by the group sites, but oh well, the showeres were well maintained and quite up to date. The sky was gorgeous plenty of space to stargaze. The "swimming" is meh as the water seems to have a bronze color (got out after we realized someone passed away in the water months prior, though). Also not really a beach but a side of a river area, but clean as it could be regardless.

Absolutely beautiful place to go. I spent hours sitting by the lake, writing poetry and had an amazing time. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Definitely something I needed. I will be coming back again.

Gorgeous park with a huge lake, beach and lots of trails. The wildflower trail in July was super pretty with plenty of plants to identify.

Beautiful park, we traveled over a hundred miles to check out their (Bring Fido) dog beach. Save you gas..... its about a single lane highway wide, in amongst weeds and bushes. A fallen tree is in the middle of the water, and 1 picnic table to share with everyone. But,I must say the employees working there were really nice.

Located in Chippewa Falls, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company is a 145-year-old brewery that offers free tours throughout the year. Visitors can explore the brewery's history and modern operations, with options for one-hour or two-hour tours. The longer tour includes a tasting glass. Reservations are recommended, and there's also a gift shop, lodge rentals, and an event calendar to explore.
We really enjoyed our short time here. The beer was really good and it was fun to learn all the different flavors that you get when mixing different beers. We also bought some shirts (super cute, nice quality) along with some Wisc. cheese and beef sticks. Really nice staff that instantly makes you feel welcomed. They also have a nice patio to enjoy your flight of beer. The only complaint that we have is how early they close on a sat (8pm)

Really sad to see the brewery production stopping. Had a great time going on tour, fabulous guide. I booked the tour same day and they couldn’t squeeze my husband in, so I went alone. I was super disappointed they couldn’t let him in, seemed like one more wouldn’t have ruined anything. Really neat historical place, definitely recommend! The beer is interesting, lots of fruity choices. Samples come with the tour. Lots of merchandise, super impressive!

I went on a well thought out tour with guide Miranda. Heard how the Leinenkugel beer is made & saw the process to make the beer. Good tasting & merchandise. I got a hat & shirt too. Fun board games, Rummikub, events such as music, trivia, dogs can come outside on certain evenings, & pinball machines.

A beautiful, open space. They have a section with a detailed history of the brewing company. It has a lot of seating and two bars, which speeds up service because the place can grow busy after work. Unfortunately, they don’t always have all their beers on tap, so you might check before you go if you have your heart set on one in particular.

At Leinenkugel's Tasting Brew Pub's cozy bar and retail area in Ladysmith, WI, we skipped the tour but were wowed by bartender Tracey's amazing service. We sampled their craft beer flights and all i can say is wow o wow. My favorite was the white mocha stout, a true sleeper. Was balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness. The $15-per-person, one-hour tour sounds like a no-brainer for next time. Can’t wait to stop by again next year!

A unique brewery with tours operating daily, get out here before Jan 17th 2025 to experience the brewery before the tours cease. We had a great time and our tour guide was great!

Beautiful location with a great tasting room. Was disappointed to find out during the tour that they had shuttered production operations last January. Recommend they let patrons know prior to tour purchase, as the tour is still given as if it’s an active brewery.

I had the Big Eddy Uber Oktoberfest back in 2013 and found out it was finally available again only at The Leinie Lodge in 2025. I couldn't wait to have it again! It was great, the service was great. I purchased a couple of growers too. Thanks! Bring back the Big Eddy brews permanently!
