Midway Drive-In Theatre

Drive-in movie theater
Fun & Games
Movie Theaters
Digitally projected films at a 600-car theater with a free pizza drawing between movies.
I've been going to the Midway Drive-In since I was a little kid in the late-1970s/early-1980s, as I've always lived around a 5-minute drive away. As an adult, now I take my wife and kids. Always a great atmosphere to watch a movie outside and/or in your vehicle with the movie soundtrack blaring on your car stereo. Bring bug zappers and/or mosquito repellent tho, as that's usually the only drawback of the experience. Go and enjoy it, because there's not very many of these around anymore!
Christopher ( — Google review
Excellent, and the staff are all very friendly! Family owned and operated, this might be a dinosaur in the movie business, but it's definitely worth checking out at least once in your life! The family who owns this place take great pride in their work here, and it shows with how they interact with customers! The price is so worth it as $10 at the door, and you choose it's value as you can choose whether to leave after 1, 2, (or on some nights, 3) movies! (PLUS its already cheaper than the normal movie theater, so it's already worth it for the one movie, and I think kids under a certain age are free!). I love coming here and watching the new movies outside! They have a small food service area with good food (Popcorn, burgers, hotdogs, snacks, drinks, and more!). Your ticket to get in the door ALSO is a chance to win a free pizza, so don't lose it! OH, and on most Sundays, they typically hold open-caption night, so deaf people can attend too! (Not always though, depends on the feature!) They also sometimes do old retro showings of older movies too! And they usually host a Dusk-til-Dawn showing at least once a year with 5 movies! Website might be a tad old/outdated, but the owners do try to keep it updated! Small things to note: - The movies start a bit after sunset, so it's a long night if you wanna stay for all 3 features, but it's definitely fun with a group of friends! (usually kid-friendly/safe movies are shown first, so it's good for the family too, and you can leave once the movie ends!) - Go early to find a good spot to park! (most nights the gates open at 7) - OH, bring a small radio or boombox with batteries if you don't wanna drain your car battery, their sound runs through the actual FM radio! (BUT NO WORRIES, they have jumpcables on site if your car battery runs low!) - BRING CASH, as they're currently not taking credit cards. - IF You don't wanna sit in your car, bring a blanket or a chair to sit on! - Bring bug spray, those mosquitoes are feisty, but if you're prepared, they'll leave you alone to enjoy your movies in peace!
Elizabeth T — Google review
It's been a while since I have been to a drive in. This one as a matter of fact. It brings back childhood memories. I miss being there. Unfortunately I do not miss the mosquitos haha. The food here is typical movie food and quite reasonably priced. It's great to reminisce but being the bug spray.
Johnathon B — Google review
Always a great time at this family-operated drive-in! The midway has been around for roughly 75 years at the time of this review and you can tell they haven't lost their charm. The owners are extremely enthusiastic about the place and make it a great time for families.
Kyle M — Google review
It was my very first time visiting this establishment Sunday. Will not be our last ☺️ thanks for a good time! And a clean area to enjoy the movies.
Kelsey S — Google review
Its fun. For those that have never experienced a drive-in, it is a good time. Movies are shown as double or triple features. You can watch 2 or 3 movies for the the cinema price of one.Enjoy the concessions or bring your own snacks, food and drink. The food is good; pizza, fries, nachos, burgers, dogs, etc. This place has been in business for 70 years. The nostalgia and people that like like that nostalgia keep it afloat. Great family fun, great for couples.

Chimney Bluffs State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Dramatic rock formations tower over Lake Ontario at this park with scenic woodland & beach trails.
First time here today! What an interesting state park with a deep history. Plenty of different trails and great views of the 10,000 year old bluffs formed from eroded drumlins of the last ice age. Bring bug spray in the warmer months, lots of bugs. You can also go down to the beach area for some different views below the bluffs and be right by Lake Ontario.
Broden B — Google review
Another beautiful day and we decided to take a drive to see the Chimney Bluffs... The hike was very easy a little uphill from the one parking lot. We walked the 1.29 miles to the other parking lot which had 201 steps down. As for the views, they were majestic... Lake Ontario had crystal blue water almost Caribbean like waters stunning Hopefully, you can get out and enjoy this gem.
Mark S — Google review
We drove to the parking on E Bay Road, on the far NE side of the park to walk the 202 steps UP the hill to see the bluffs on the bluff trail and then turned around and went down because it was rainy and we have a 16 month old with us. The trail was well maintained, easy to find and navigate. There are restrooms at the parking lot and there were a decent amount of parking spots. The bluffs are very neat and interested. The views are lovely, especially if it was sunny I would imagine.
Brittany R — Google review
Definitely something you should go see if you haven't before. The main draw here are the bluffs which you can see along a 1 mile trail. Very easy walk. Trail was good shape with hardly muddy areas. The spires are gorgeous.b There are other trails you can take throughout the party as well.
Rudolph B — Google review
The ragged lakeshore is one of a kind! We started out at the main entrance ($5/car) and hiked just a little to the views overlooking Rochester. Then we drove to the east parking lot and hiked more along the cliffs, it was very windy but pristine and nobody else was there. The dragon beach is full of driftwood and pretty cool as well.
JitkaKac — Google review
Easy 3 mile hike in and out. Easy for kids, beautiful views and leads down to Lake Ontario. Bathrooms at both ends of trail heads. Great place for a fall hike or a picnic! Trails are nicely marked and they are putting in wooden walkways over the low (muddy) spots.
Madelyn P — Google review
Chimney Bluffs State Park on the shore of Lake Ontario is an absolute must-see destination in Upstate New York. What sets this park apart is its extraordinary geology: towering, earthen spires, or drumlins, carved by glacial activity and ceaseless erosion from wind and waves. These formations rise dramatically up to 150 feet above the water, creating an otherworldly, almost desert-like landscape that feels transported from Utah and offers some of the most spectacular photography opportunities in the region.
Ashish K — Google review
We took a trip here to check out the bluffs. It's definitely a cool place, and the chimney bluffs were amazing. We made the trails into a loop, and it ended up being only 3.5 miles. The trails were very muddy and had to venture off trail to get around the deep spots. Bring your boots

Our most favorite place! Stumbled across this gem of a town 4 yrs ago on a rainy Mother’s Day and instantly knew this was where we’d get married! We did just that on September 30th, 2023, the best day of our lives 🥹 The grounds are so well kept and the view is just amazing, same with the outer lighthouse down at sodus beach ❤️ Highly recommend visiting this beautiful little town and lighthouses!!! Was also there for the Eclipse and the Northern Lights ❤️
Melissa M — Google review
Beautiful views of Sodus Bay and the lighthouse from this spot. One of my favorite locations for a summer sunset.
Eric H — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. I've heard so much about it and now got to visit myself. Definitely check it out. Also go to Timmerman Photography on Facebook. His pictures are what made me want to come visit.
Elizabeth V — Google review
Grab your climbing shoes and let’s go! This historic lighthouse is open to the public as a museum. The person who welcomed us was so sweet, he even gave us pamphlets on other places we were going to see on our journey and some we were interested to see. The museum is very small, so don’t worry about having to walk far. The lighthouse isn’t very fall either, but be careful of the steps! Each little room has an amazing story to tell, and when you climb the lighthouse you get a sticker!
Kaimu — Google review
A must see. Coolest small town history lesson while there. The view of the bay was beautiful. Maintained to pristine. Gardens I had to take the time to sit and enjoy.
Daisie N — Google review
I didn't actually pay to go inside the museum cause it seemed rather pricey (why only 4 stars). The views from here overlooking the bay are spectacular and there's plenty of interesting things to see around the outside.
Strange M — Google review
This was a nice place to get out and visit. Very pretty when the sun is setting during the winter months. It's pretty here.
J G — Google review
Sodus Bay Lighthouse and Museum is fantastic. Highly recommend visiting. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse, 52 spiral steps. Very well presented history of the lighthouse and area. The historical society has done an amazing job of restoration and maintenance. I give the historian and librarian special mention as they made our visit exceptional.

Great beach. Clean. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent lot. Lifeguards on duty. Snack bar, first aid, rest rooms and office onsite.

Lots of bugs bring some repellent. The light house is nice but a tad run down. The main light house about 1/2 mile away is much nicer. $10.00 admissions fee. Per adult I thought was a little high but fair.

Clean beach with plenty of benches to relax on. This beach is good for families with young kids. Sometimes it's windy, and sand blows through the wind. Plenty of parking space.

Beautiful ! I have been here countless times since I was kid. Many trail's !! As you walk the trails the scenery is always changing. Never gets old. Nice visitor center with displays . An inexpensive way to hike, Spend the day with kid's etc.
Scott F — Google review
This is my go to place when I want clarity and peace of mind!! Walking the 3 mile trail especially now that they replaced all the wood on the boardwalk, it's absolutely beautiful. The fresh air, the different kinds of trees. Just taking it all in. Ohhh n the main building inside is nice too. Clean restrooms, a bird watching enclosed area, a book store. Great place to spend a day at!!
Sandee — Google review
I used to come here as a kid and this was my first time in maybe 20 years. I hiked the bog trail and it was beautiful. I thought it was really neat that there were pitcher plants growing wild along the trail. Just on a short walk I saw a kingfisher, redwing blackbird, woodpecker, and maybe 10 chipmunks, not bad for such a short trail. I also appreciate that they are trying to keep it natural and don’t allow dogs (I love dogs just not on nature trails). Signage was good. The trails were clear, clean (no litter) and quiet even though the place seemed very busy!
MD R — Google review
Beautiful trails. The lake loop is amazing now! Well done on rebuilding the walkway! Overall, this is a great place to get away for a couple of hours to relax, do photography, bird watch and enjoy nature.

Took a walk around the updated trail around the lake. Beautiful day, dry footing everywhere and finally some safety measures on the raised wooden platforms/walkways. Much harder to just step or fall off them! Low bug day, lol. Very nice improvement to the lake walk. $5 ENTRANCE CASH OR CREDIT
Tracey ( — Google review
A great place to get back to nature and enjoy the outdoors. Easy to walk trails, plenty of signage to keep you on track as well. Rented canoes for a Scout outing. Great experience, and everything was included from paddles to life jackets.
Jeremiah J — Google review
Lots of interesting paths and plants; some paths have informational signs and some have benches. There is a raised viewing platform (with stairs) along one path. Not sure how handicap-friendly the paths are. Saw few animals, but my companion has seen some on prior visits. Nice staff at main building. Seriously needs trail markers including path names and distances, especially to direct visitors back to the parking lot.

Skydive Central New York

Skydiving center

Adrenaline & Extreme Tours
Skydiving for the first time @ Skydive Central New York was hands down the best experience of my life. Jumping with my instructor, JER BEAR, at 10,000 feet on a beautiful day was exhilarating. The views were stunning, we could see the five Finger Lakes, The JMA Dome, and Lake Ontario. All the team is super friendly, helpful, and incredibly professional, making me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. When I'm ready for Skydive #2, I know it will be at Skydive CNY! I recommend 1000/10!!!
Stacy R — Google review
I still have not found the words for this amazing experience! The staff was great and made you feel safe the entire time. The views were amazing, we could see all the Finger Lakes and clear to Canada! I jumped tandem with Jeremy who was an excellent instructor, highly recommend! Our friends/family got to wait for us in a dedicated right by the landing zone which was great! We did the photo and video package for our first jump and so glad we did, we got them emailed to us less than 30min after our jump! We tried another in the area first who stole our money and has shut down and reopened numerous times… If you’re going to jump in CNY this is the only place to choose!
Kyle H — Google review
First time jumper, and so happy I did my jump here. Everyone was super nice, and helped ease the nerves/anxiety around skydiving. Absolutely beautiful place to jump. I jumped with Timmy, who was amazing. I thought I'd be more scared to do the jump, but Timmy and the rest of the team are so skilled, you know you're in safe hands.

10/10 experience for my first time skydiving, I had an amazing experience,Kev was a great instructor, best birthday present ever🎂. Definitely going back, and highly recommended
Midia S — Google review
I would give this business a 1,000 out of 10! This was my second jump and my friend's first and we both felt safe and had a fun and an amazing experience. All of the staff were friendly and that just made it so much better. The view that we saw from the plane was breathtaking and the actual jump was fantastic! If you're looking for a place to experience your first skydive or to just get that adrenaline rush, I highly recommend Skydive CNY!
Emily R — Google review
I took my 18 year old daughter for her first jump as a graduation gift and can not think of a better father/daughter day. Great views, great people, great equipment and just a great time. The instructors were super fun and friendly and dealt with our sarcasm and odd sense of humor perfectly. They are obviously seasoned professionals and ensure safety is paramount while maintaining a fun atmosphere. I will absolutely return to do this again. This may have started as a bucket list item but will likely become a yearly (or more) event and I will do it every time with Skydive Central New York. Thanks you all, hope to see you again soon!
Alex J — Google review
Such a great time! Took my boyfriend for his birthday & Jer & Kevin were awesome. We had so much fun & barely felt any nerves. They explained everything in great detail & made us feel super comfortable with everything. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

With more than 250 shops and outlets to explore, you’ll find everything from trendy boutiques to well-known brands. This place is huge. Way back in 2016 I came here for my 1st visit as a tourist with a bunch of friends on a road trip we were on together. We all had a blast. There are tons of awesome experiences to be had here. I had a lot of fun engaging with various attractions like Wonderworks, Glowgolf/Minigolf, the Mirror maze, and more. I also remember going into a candy store that had oversized nerds boxes in addition to other bulk items. After eating lunch in the food court later on I ate dinner at this nice dine in restaurant that has a bar in it but I can’t remember the name of it. All I know is that there are plenty of options if you want to get a bite to eat. I never got to experience the movie theater nor half the shops that exist here but I got my fill. I came back here for a 2nd time a couple years ago with someone who is near and dear to me. We had a great time. I took a couple of pictures of the view from one of the higher floors to capture what it felt like to be there both during the day and after sunset. See for yourself!
Trevor S — Google review
This place was cool!! Everything was pretty pricey, but I'm learning that's the new mall experience as the malls near me are dying. I didn't buy anything, but spent 2hrs there just soaking it in. It was nice to see a mall so lively. And more than just shops! Interactive zoo, bowling alley, movies, tree trek... just cool! The carousel was great!!! Only $2!
Sarah R — Google review
If you get there before noon it's an enjoyable walk with almost no lines, after lunch it packed up quick (in August 2025) ... There's so much to do here I highly suggest you look up the app and create a plan ... And wear comfortable shoes! Have fun
Watkins P — Google review
First time visiting Syracuse. Didn't realize there was such a huge mall in the area. We was impressed at the size and the amount of tenants that was keeping the place full. It felt like it riveled the size of the Mall of America. It took us a few hours or so to walk the entire thing. Enjoyed taking the glass elevators for sure. The tunnel with all the lights was pretty cool as well.
Brian D — Google review
Nice big mall... lots of entertainment for kids. lot of variety in food court. we visited from Canada over the weekend to Syracuse and destiny mall was in the list. however lot of shops were closed and the mall seemed to be different because of that... worth the visit.
Kazumi M — Google review
Destiny USA offers only three levels of 6 with diverse stores and fantastic kid-friendly entertainment, including a petting zoo, arcades, waterworks, and a carousel. The only downside is that some elevators and escalators are currently out of order.
Ryan K — Google review
So much fun to be had at this mall for the whole family, great selection of stores and entertainment 😀

Erie Canal Museum

History museum
The Erie Canal Museum, located in Syracuse, New York, is housed in the only remaining weighlock building and offers a deep dive into the history and impact of the canal system. This historic waterway, completed in 1825, played a crucial role in connecting New York City to the Great Lakes region. The museum showcases the engineering marvel of the canal and its significance in American history. Visitors can explore exhibitions that illustrate the experiences, ideas, and natural beauty that have shaped the country.
Housed in the actual historic building that weighed the boats and cargo. You will learn a very good general history of the Erie Canal. If you like to read everything, it will take you 2-2.5 hours to go through the whole museum🤓 (start with the bottom floor). Also, they have two hour free parking! It is in the government employee lot across Erie Boulevard (entrance from James Street). Look in my posted pictures for the signs to look out for🙂

This was a fantastic experience, I am so glad that they are one of the museums that are open on a Tuesday in Syracuse. The person at the front desk was knowledgeable, she greeted me right away, and she answered any questions that I had. She was very welcoming and made sure that I had a great time. What a wealth of knowledge, artifacts, and art you have there. For someone that works in the museum world it was definitely a pleasure to stop at this museum. You should not overlook this fantastic place.

Great well-curated museum with extensive exhibits on Syracuse and the Erie Canal. The staff were incredibly friendly and were eager to answer any questions I had. This is also a stamp location for the Erie Canalway National Herritage Corridor.

A great little museum filled with interesting facts on the life & times of the canal. We were welcomed y friendly helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
Dee S — Google review
This place doesn't excellent job at hosting schools for field trips. They do have on hand learning hunts that are available. However, we made our own escape room hunt for our students. It took them just over 2 hours to do for middle school and they absolutely loved that all the exhibits were hands-on for them. The best part was that they could go on to the barge and they really enjoyed being able to complete the activities at different exhibits. Bringing them back next year.

Great museum if you are interested in learning about the Erie Canal and life of the people who worked/lived there. I loved all of the history and culture, learning about this mode of transportation while gleaning a little insight on Syracuse NY.

The Landmark Theatre, situated in Syracuse, New York, is a historic venue with a rich cultural legacy. This performing arts center has been hosting various live music acts and theatrical productions since its opening in 1928. The theater's stunning architecture and historical significance make it a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this theater was built with ornate luxury and was once a cinema theater before being restored to its former glory.
A really stunning theater that dates back to 1928 under previous ownership. Restored and renovated in later 1970’s by SALT. The architecture is absolutely exquisite. You could spend hours marveling over the details. I was a guest of a friend that has season tickets for Broadway shows. Great seats on the center first upper floor. Easy to enter and exit. Wine and beverages available to purchase. I have attended other events at the theater including Halloween Parties. It is rumored the theater has been haunted since 1930’s when a women fell from a balcony, Clarissa. And is now said to still roam the theater in a white gown. They offer guided tours and group investigations.
Carrie L — Google review
We found a parking lot around the corner and walked to the theatre. It was easy to get in but man those bathroom lines are super long. Go to the bathroom during the show if you have to because there's no time before or during intermission. The theatre itself is beautiful but could use some TLC with the stairs and paint for the walls. We sat on the center balcony. The second to the last row. People's heads were in the way and the seats are super small if you're bigger than 6 foot you will be eating your knees. Great sound system though! We saw Betelgeuse and it was amazing. Such a great show! Definitely would go again
Tina S — Google review
This was our second concert at the Landmark. The interior is exceptionally beautiful for such an old building. The seating in the balcony allows for excellent visibility of everything going on below. We are excited to see more concerts at this venue.
Thomas S — Google review
Beautiful theater, but they opene the doors to the building before the doors to the seats. This made for a hoardlike experience where we were squished against a wall while leople fought over the merch line. Started a wonderful experience extremely stressful.
Gayle L — Google review
Came here for a concert. This was my second time here. Beautiful place, intricate designs on the ceilings and walls, unique chandeliers, and even stained glass doorways. Gorgeous venue!
Jessica F — Google review
Absolutely stunning venue! Staff is very friendly and helpful too! Recommend arriving at least an hour before showtime though as traffic and parking is congested to say the least and you can expect to pay a minimum of $15 which isn't horrible.
Sheila S — Google review
Beautiful venue. Would be good for concerts where there’s lots of standing… not good for a movie venue though. Went to see Harry Potter with Syracuse orchestra live and ended up leaving not even halfway through because it was so uncomfortable. Not only uncomfortably hot, but the rows are so ridiculously close to each other; god forbid you’re over 5’6” with long legs or over 140lbs.

Beautiful venue. I like the closeness to the stage. Not a bad seat.

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo, located in Burnet Park, spans 43 acres and is home to over 700 animals, including endangered species like Asian elephants, Amur tigers, snow leopards, Humboldt penguins, and a giant Pacific octopus. The zoo offers both indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as special events and educational programs for all ages.
This is an awesome zoo. The animals seem well taken care of, their enclosures are clean and vibrant. You can see the whole zoo in about 2 hours. There are random shows throughout the day and staff placed around the zoo with props to show and tell the kids some fun facts about specific animals. Noticed they have a saranac booth set up w snacks now near the elephants. Great place for the family.
Jessica F — Google review
An excellent small zoo. Not a huge number of animals, but some really interesting one that I've not seen in other zoos. Aside from the buildings with animal displays, there is also a series of freshly paved walking paths to outdoor exhibitions. Some of these paths are on fairly steep hills. At some of the outdoor displays there are very nice observation platforms with shade. Unlikely that we'll be back due to its location (4 hours away), but it was well worth the trip
Steve K — Google review
Had a great time we got there early enough to see all the animals out and active as they were waiting for their lunch, as we walked around for a second time we noticed some animals tucked them selves away, or were able to see some sleeping such as the bear. He was so cute sleeping !
Amanda — Google review
Went the day after Halloween when the zoo feeds the leftover pumpkins to the animals and it was wonderful! But even going when there isn't an event us a great experience. Personally I prefer going in the Fall/Winter because the animals are so lively and energetic - plus far fewer crowds than Sping/Summer. It's not terribly big, but kids will stay engaged for a good 1.5 hours. Definitely visit!
Ashley O — Google review
Very nice Zoo with an amazing conference center for businesses. You can leisurely walk the loop to see all the outside animals (including elephants!) And there's an inside aquarium walk through with a bird sanctuary.
Brandy J — Google review
Such a lovely time to bond with our family! Very convenient. It felt like a far trip while being really close to home. My kids love it everytime we go.
Jamie L — Google review
The variety of animals seem very content and well provided for! Very interactive experience, and the distance in between outdoor exhibits gives you plenty of time for snack/water breaks. The twin baby elephants were a super bonus for our zoo experience.
Sarah S — Google review
My granddaughter was visiting from Charlotte NC and her grandfather took her to this zoo. She had such a wonderful and memorable experience I am sure one she won't forget. There was so many animals and exhibits to see. Her grandfather was amazed at how little the animals smelled something you would normally expect. There were plenty of places to sit along the way. The ticket prices were so cheap for the experience it amazed us. When she and my daughter move back to NY this will definitely be our go to place. ❤

Sights & Landmarks
The Harriet Tubman Home Museum is the former residence of a renowned abolitionist who was born into slavery but later became an activist. She rescued numerous enslaved individuals through her involvement in the Underground Railroad, with 70 people being freed under her leadership across 13 missions. The museum offers an intriguing insight into this important aspect of American history and is a must-see for anyone interested in learning about the struggles faced by slaves and those fighting for their freedom.
I didn't get to take the tour, but just seeing it and walking around the grounds was magical. My service dog was welcomed. The docent was very considerate, speaking clearly and using hand signs for numbers as I am deaf.

This was a wonderful soul storing moment. Being able to walk into the past in the present felt really surreal. I grew up in Mississippi with an abundance of stories about Harriet Tubman. I was honored and humbled , by my visit to her house. The rich legacy of her house and all that it represented. I definitely plan to return once her house is renovated.
Travis P — Google review
Oh my goodness, the tour guide could have his one man show! Very entertaining and such a great informational tour. The first hour is the guide, Paul, telling us about Harriet’s life. In his words, “a home without a story is just a building”. After the story telling, we saw the inside of the Home for the Aged and walked the property. It was a great time! Well worth the visit! I also, a white middle aged woman learned a lot about the PC words to use.

We enjoyed an excellent tour with an terrific guide. We learned so much about the amazing life of Harriet Tubman. She will always be our hero. Loved the huge timeline sign...pics attached.
M M — Google review
The tour is 100% worth a stop! Rev. Paul tells the true story of Harriet's life and the importance of preserving her story and legacy. History classes do not teach her full story and it deserves to be told!
Samantha F — Google review
I can only echo what others have already said! Paul is truly a one man show, I enjoyed every minute he guarantees that everyone will learn something that you didn’t know, and that is for absolute certain ! Just be sure to call ahead and reserve your tour time because you don’t want to miss it ! (Tours start at 10 am and 2 pm, you should look at the website for more info)
Sonyth H — Google review
Words cannot adequately describe how wonderful this experience was. Highly recommend. Paul is a fantastic storyteller and walks you through her amazing life. Allow time to thoroughly enjoy this. His presentation and then the walk through of the home took approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it was worth it. I learned so much and the space felt very honoring. Make time to visit ABC hear the fulness of Harriet’s story.

Love this lake, some great houses 2 rent. Waterfalls galore!!
Jeremy P — Google review
Okay, for starters the water is crystal clear! How have I lived in the Finger Lakes region and never knew this was here...?! This lake is literally breathtaking. From the boat launch, to downtown Skaneateles, to all of the beautiful houses along the lake, this is gorgeous! I dropped in at the boat launch with a friend, and we kayaked all the way up to downtown Skaneateles, hopped out, and had lunch downtown. The entire day was fantastic and this is a place I will always return to because it’s so relaxing. On the north side of the lake - there are some sand bars so you can hop out and go swimming if you’re on a boat. Or, in our case, we pulled our kayaks to the edge and hopped out and went swimming. Couldn’t have been more perfect! The water is so clear, you can see fish swimming and they’ll even swim up to your kayak. The whole experience was so fun.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff add to the inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind with a glass of wine.
All was great. My husband was really enjoyed it our time in here. The scenery was pretty, the service was great, for the wine there was something he didn’t like but there’s one wine he enjoy it he bought one bottle home. Pizza was also good seems homemade. Nice place to hang out and chill.

This winery has an amazing view facing the Finger Lakes with a patio to sit, drink, eat and relax . It was my first time vising a vineyard, and I was impress, Beautifully manicured garden and a Relaxing Gazebo seating area to taste the local family owned wine. I had such a beautiful experience just walking through the grapevines and just tasting a few, from right off the vine.

The property and views are great. The sweet Riesling was my favorite, the reds I tried were pretty good.

Anyela's Vineyard is the gem of Vineyards in Skaneateles! It is also the only one I am aware of given the high cost of land in the area. This large vineyard offers some great views, a nice facility and the best reds I have ever had in New York State! All of the (4) reds I tried were amazing and unique. The whites were a hit a well and on par or better than most others in the region. We came at an off peak time of year, but we can see how this location would be packed during prime season. They have a jazz festival with attracts thousands of visitors each year. There is a specialty room (lower level accessed from outside) which is available for parties. Carter was our wine expert on our visit. From the area and knowledgeable not only about the winery but the lake and geography of the area as well. Who knew it is the finger lake at the highest elevation and boasts some of the cleanest water in the United States. He added interesting insight to our experience. We will return again! HINT: If you are looking for an excuse to visit the area (Summer concerts and live music along with a Charles Dickenson Christmas Carol events during the weekend (the later in town). The area is beautiful and somewhere worthy of checking out!

Labrador Mountain

Ski resort
Spas & Wellness
Family ski destination with terrain park has a mix of 20+ beginner, intermediate & expert trails.
Amazing ski resort. Would highly recommend. Only qualm is that trails aren’t easily marked but still fun. Three chair lifts but currently only two are running. That being said, the middle lift takes you up to a spot where you can easily cut across to the lift that is currently shut off. Great conditions
David L — Google review
Not worth the money. You definitely don’t get what you pay for. I’ve been to lab dozens of times and I’ve never seen them with more than 5 trails open. Groomers are never kept up well, the park either doesn’t exist or if it does, it sucks. If you’re going to pay 80+ for a lift ticket, you may as well go to a bigger and better mountain.
Ethan Z — Google review
My Favorite Local CNY family friendly mountain. Between the price and the available different terrain, this is my mountain of choice for CNY. GREAT for beginners or advanced ski'ers alike. From the super bunny hill with a simple rope pull to the main mountain trails with 3 lifts available there is so much to offer at labrador. When you add the familly environment and the great centralized lodge setup, it makes it easy for a large group to find every type of skiing there is as well as an easy hub to find each other for brakes. Truthfully, now with my son, we are a third generation that have picked this a our home mountain and have found a community that was never expected. Whether your looking to try a new ski / board spot in CNY or trying skiing/boarding for the first time, Lab is an amazing value and family friendly environment anyone can enjoy. May our mountain be here for another three generations and I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does. Edit in 2025: th full mountain opened today and we skied Ptarmigan and the glades! Hope you make it down, it's a great year!

The cons: $120 Lift Tickets (peak season or not) feels criminal. I know they’re trying to push season passes but I have a lot of local friends who are refusing to go at all because of the sticker shock. The small slope they had I wouldn’t really consider a bunny hill if you’re looking to teach kiddos. My biggest complaint that was baffling to me was that they didn’t have the slopes marked?! This was so frustrating, despite checking the maps we still weren’t sure what we were going down - a major concern if you have a child learning (better hope you don’t accidentally find yourself on a black). Otherwise it is a good set up, friendly staff, and surprisingly good food.
Lindsay F — Google review
With Toggenburg closing they are going to be dealing with significant overcrowding. Last weekend was extremely crowded in the lodge and on the slopes. It is a nice place but this was a huge issue that made the day less much less enjoyable than it could have been and given we have 4 seasons passes I hope they can address this.
Melissa P — Google review
Great mountain for families and beginner and intermediate skiers. Staff are friendly, and accommodating. The kids town instructors are great with the kids. My two kids loves this place. They always have so much fun. No lines and not crowded.
Linda C — Google review
Conditions were top notch! Groomers were out doing their job before the slopes opened laying down that beautiful corduroy. Felt like getting endless first tracks.
Glen W — Google review
Great facility for average to expert snowboarders and skiers. Cost effective season passes that include 2 mountains ( Lab and Song ). If you are a beginner and looking for a great way to learn snowboarding in a larger area without frustration of a small learning area … Song Mountain ( owned by same company ) has the best learning facility with a full lift.

Filmore Glenn State Park is a well-maintained park with good staff, costing $8 to enter. It features a great pavilion, swimming, and camping areas. I chose the recommended 1.5-mile Gorge Trail for a scenic hike, but it was cut short by a hazardous, out-of-order bridge; a warning sign at the trailhead would have been appreciated. The park also hosts weddings, with restrooms and another pavilion visible from the Gorge Trail. Overall, it was a good mid-day hike experience.
Ryan K — Google review
The trails and waterfalls are beautiful. Well worth a bit of hiking. The road to the upper area is extremely rough so be warned. The Cowshed Falls are a must see. The camping is open field right on top of each other at the road's edge.
Michael M — Google review
Gorge trail was awesome, both rim trails were very scenic. All trails were well maintained. South rim was moderate hike. North rim from entrance is a steep hike up stairs to start then nice trail after. Also appreciate all the tables and benches along the rim trails especially right at the top of both rim trails. Perfect resting spot after the climbs.
Tim S — Google review
Nature's wonderful spot, there's tables & some grills first comes get them 😁, bathrooms n showers, nice playground, 1 hoop but it's located in the parking lot, usually people don't park near, there's camping sites available, there's long & multiple trails to choose, the trails are not leveled, some stairs in areas, multiple wooden bridges, stunning views, you will connect with nature, 1 of the trails you walk most of the time by the water, is so relaxing 😌, they have a seasonal natural pool, no chlorine or stagnant water, with a designated area to jump in while the lifeguards are on watch, is truly a gem, make sure to bring trash bags with you to keep clean this amazing place. There's a small fee for cars. 1 volleyball net.

Fabulous walk and stunning views along the Gorge Trail. Not a difficult hike. Lots of waterfalls and shade.

One of the nicest State Park campgrounds I've been to. Sites are huge but the campground itself is small. Great hiking trails
Gregory H — Google review
Fillmore Glen State Park is a very nice state park. The best part of the park is hiking the gorge trail. It has beautiful scenery, picturesque waterfalls, and is nice and cool on a summer day. The gorge trail is a moderate hike, with few challenging spots. If you are just hiking the gorge trail it is a 2.5 mile out and back hike. The trails around the gorge are nice, but don’t offer the same beauty that the gorge trail does. Compared to other similar NY State Parks like Watkins Glen, this trail is easy and much less crowded. Parking here for day use is easy. There are campsites in the park and they looked nice. Add this hike to the list of the most gorgeous places in Central New York.

Hi, TasteBuds here. A part of my tasting yummy foods is that I get to visit different places. Now, when I travel, I love the service @frances_smartmomstravel  provides. Fran is attentive and responsive, very professional, but super relatable. You tell her where you want to go, she finds multiple  venues, you pick the one you like and she does the rest. She literally takes the hassle out of my planning. Oh, and when you think it can't get better working with @frances_smartmomstravel, you find out  that her service is  at no cost to you!  So awesome, right?!  I've had her  plan 3 vacations so far, and I'm getting ready to book my 4th. If you have the time and interest this is a pleasant and short look at several vineries in the area. Be aware however the several need advanced reservations and that their websites are difficult in doing just that, especially since you cannot do it by phone. Getting the Keuka trail passport offers a bit of savings, but doing more than one winery a day is tough, especially when coordinating reservations. Most of the wines a similar in taste; mild fruitiness and dry. The German style and varieties are better than most of the other. It is rare to find a good red, Steve Hill Red is the exception... delicious. Doing this once gives a good overview of finger lakes wineries.

The old saying she ain't what she used to be applies here. This used to be a fun interactive experience. We have been here several times in the past and always enjoyed it. Understand the wine is good. However (possibly) since co-vid they have clung onto the impersonal wine tasting experience. The group has to agree to which wine the are going to try. Most groups have a wide range of preferences so someone or everyone in the group will be stuck trying a wine completely out of their wheelhouse. They will bring out a small kraft of wine and the server leaves to let tasters figure it out. You are left with a fast food restaurant feeling here.

This is a nice, easy trail with a few waterfalls. The trail that starts near the railroad tracks is near standing water which has misquitos in the summer but otherwise very pretty.

Delicious wines, great views, super-friendly staff! We did two tastings and tasted 9 different wines between us. No misses among the bunch. The Riesling Cuvee was a standout. Thanks for the great experience!

Place is beautiful but not worth going. When you pay for tasting they do not go over any of the wines. Also, you feel rushed. The staff are unwelcoming. You feel like another ticket number to add to the roster. Went to other wineries we’re tasting became a beautiful experience not a transaction.
Mayra G — Google review
Nice establishment with very very knowledgeable staff performing the tastings. What sets them apart from their competitors is their ICE WINE! It’s nice that they can be included in the tasting if your choosing. I’m not sure they have outdoor seating or maybe it just wasn’t utilized during my visit.

Went here last week for a tasting. Many different options to choose from and our server was very knowledgeable of what wines we might like. Really like the dry rosé and the dessert riesling. The grounds are really nice and beautiful views of Seneca Lake right out the windows. if you’re near Seneca Lake or Watkins Glen I had the recommend stopping here for a tasting or grabbing some wine.

Staff was quite rude and overall appearance overall was unprofessional and did not meet the appearance of the location. We flew up here from South Carolina to spend time with family and because two party members were not tasting they had to wait outside. We did not purchase even though we enjoyed several of the wines and we will not be returning.

100% solar powered Lamoreaux Landing is a delightful and unpretentious experience overlooking Seneca Lake. It can be a touch windy outside but they have both indoor and outdoor wine enjoying spaces. The Rosé is a particular standout and worth taking home. Flavorful without being overt. Quite good. Rich wooden interior with nice seating spaces, plenty of affordable wine on display, bits and bites if you’re hungry, and very personable staff all round out the experience. Take note of the signs and respect their party size limit. Relatively limited parking so if it’s exceptionally busy you might need to be creative.

My wife and I have visited Lamoreaux since it's earliest days. At times they have produced some delightful Finger Lakes wines including nice FLW Chardonnays, hard to find good vintages in the region, along with some fine reds highlighted by the FLW region flagship red, Cabernet Franc. However, during our recent visit, the first in several years, we noticed a change shortly after walking in the door. An air of haughty arrogance. We decided on 2 tasting at $12 each only after we were led to believe tasting would be free after we received our "welcome pour" of a nice dry rose and told "you can pick four more wines to taste without mention of the $12 per tasting fee. In there wine "menu" in very, very small letters at the top did it mention a few. Some serious wineries in the Finger Lakes, Napa (region), Oregon, etc look to make a profit selling Tastings, and some use tastings to introduce you to their winery, wine making, and of course their wine. After asking our taste-pourer how am I to determine how good their wines were, especially six different Rieslings, she told me I Can buy the other five I did not taste. This was after coming from another Seneca Lake-FLW that has had their Rieslings rated by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in the top 100 in the world! If you enjoy wine, the Finger Lakes has some delightful world class wineries anxious to introduce you to their fine highly rated wines, their story, winery and selection, but Lamoreaux is Not one of them, they will sell you a taste for $12 or more, and expect you to love, and buy their wines. Don't waste your time, there are better wineries and wines just down the road.

Situated in the charming village of Dundee, Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard is a must-visit stop on any Finger Lakes wine tour. This renowned vineyard, founded by the eponymous Hermann J. Wiemer from Germany's Mosel Valley, specializes in producing exceptional dry, off-dry, and sweet Rieslings.
We loved this stop! It was more of a wine tasting experience. You are able to create your own flight (vs. preselected) which was great. Our server was super knowledgeable and would explain you as much or as little as you wanted to know. The inside space is very nice. Spacious with multiple tasting areas (they are at the table vs. a bar). We were able to catch some of the production work the day we were there through the window. This is one of the nicer wineries overall and a stop we'd highly recommend if you want a more relaxing experience. Note that we went off-peak season.

We had a positive experience, and my friend especially loved it here. She works in hospitality and has pretty high standards when it comes to wine, so this was a must-visit for her while we were in town. They primarily offer drier wines, but I appreciated that there were a few sweet to semi-sweet options too. My personal favorites were the NS Riesling Josef 2016 dessert wine (tastes like honey!), the Riesling Late Harvest 2023, and the Riesling Semi-Dry 2023. I ended up buying bottles of the two Rieslings to take home. The staff was excellent—very knowledgeable and incredibly patient with all of my friend’s (many) questions. The atmosphere had a modern, rustic vibe that was very inviting. If you're a wine connoisseur, this might be a great stop for you. It wasn’t a perfect match for my palate, but I still had a great time and found a couple wines I really liked!

This was our first winery we stopped at on a Saturday celebrating my birthday. The ambiance is traditional farm style and was decorated for Fall with many pumpkins, gourds, and topiary. The gentleman that took care of us was friendly, very informative, and curated our wine tastings to our preferred palate. No other winery we stopped at was so personal, pours were generous and the wines smooth and ranged from semi dry to dry with our tasting. They do not offer pairings with food or any charcuterie boards that we saw. This definitely topped the list for best tasting of our afternoon!
Carrie L — Google review
I came as a walk in for a tasting, which was only outside and about $25 for two. Their wines are tasty. Multiple staff checked on us. We left with a few bottles.

Great dry Rieslings! The best I had! Awesome wine tasting and great service. Especially like the HJW Riesling. Would try to come again. Not expensive as well - good value for money.
Ronen N — Google review
We had a great time meeting friends, and sharing a tasting. We enjoyed the format for the tasting - rather than a curated list, we were able to explore wines with a "flight" of small pour carafes that allowed us to tailor how much each person wanted to taste, as well as the order in which we tried the various wines. The available charcuterie board was perfect to help accentuate the wines. The wines were all very good, and it was fun exploring the variations in the different bottling of the "same" grapes from different vineyards. The staff were friendly, and knowledgeable about the wine with suggestions as we moved through the menu. We will recommend to friends when they plan their trips to that area.
Parminder S — Google review
We tried five wines and every one was enjoyable. The 100% Riesling sparkling wine was smooth and refreshing. The HJM Riesling, my favorite, was less acidic with mineral flavors. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in deciding on which wines to try. The setting is comfortable with nice views of the area.

Regularly one of my favorites in the finger lakes. Reserve dry Riesling and sparkling wines are phenomenal, plus the property is beautiful and staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.

The winery holds historical significance as it was part of the development of the New York State wine industry, with Keuka Lake being central to this history.
Awesome winery and brewery overlooking the lake. Great selection of wines and beers. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of their craft. Plenty of outdoor seating. Could have spent the day here if we weren’t touring.

A great place to try wine and beer. A large outdoor seating area on deck and also a nice lawn area with picnic tables with umbrellas. Friendly service. The day we were there the weather was perfect and there was live music. We'll be back.

Wagner Vineyards Estate Winery is an incredible Finger Lakes destination! The wine selection is outstanding, with something for every palate — from crisp whites to bold reds and refreshing rosés. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes the tasting experience relaxed and enjoyable. The views overlooking Seneca Lake are absolutely breathtaking and create the perfect setting to sip and savor. Pairing the wine with the inviting atmosphere makes Wagner a spot I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region!

This place has a lovely view of the lake and large deck to enjoy outdoor seating on. There is a wide variety of wine to choose from, and the pre-selected flights made ordering easy. Bonus - they have a Koi pond out front! My biggest “ick” with Wagner was that the food was served in single-use plastics. I wish they had used plates or boards to serve food!

John was amazing! It was a pleasure sipping wine while listening to the history behind each grape. I can't wait to read his book. The wine was great, too! This place immediately became my favorite winery on Seneca.

John Pulo made our afternoon a wonderfully memorable one. The perfect combination of wine history and education mixed with humor and his authentic self, we all left with wine and smiles after our library experience. Thank you, Wagner!

Visited Wagner Winery for the first time today from Buffalo NY. It was a really good experience. I loved the scenery and the food from the little cafe was delicious. I enjoyed the craft beers more than the wine. Allen the bar tender was great! Loved that I was able to create my own 6 pack and I totally meant to buy a case of root beer!! So sad I can't get it online. I want to go back and try more wines and beers!

Taughannock Falls State Park is a must-visit destination with its impressive 215-foot waterfall and miles of picturesque hiking trails. The park offers various outdoor activities including camping, beach swimming, fishing, and winter sports. Nearby attractions such as Finger Lakes National Forest, Buttermilk Falls State Park, and Robert H. Treman State Park provide additional opportunities for outdoor recreation and natural beauty.
In my road trip exploring upstate New York I decided to stop by Taugannock Falls. I saw pictures online and it looked pretty cool so I told myself I'll stop by. I was not ready for how absolutely stunning this park is. Walking to the falls itself is quite easy and the whole way there you have a breathtaking view of the mighty gorge. I was essentially looking at a wall of rock hundreds of feet high. It was stunning to see such a site especially in the northeast. Usually something like this is out in Utah or Arizona. I got to the end of the trail and was absolutely in awe of how beautiful the landscape was. The falls itself was stunning albeit not a lot of water was falling when I visited. But just being surrounded by natural walls hundreds of feet high was magical. It makes you really appreciate mother nature. Don't forget to drive a quick few minutes to the upper view! It's a minute walk to the vantage point from the parking lot and is just as striking!

This is a dramatically scenic set of trails! We hiked the Rim Trail and enjoyed spectacular views of the gorge and the falls. Be prepared for a challenging walk with a lot of elevation change. We did the Rim Trail clockwise, but the park actually advises going counter-clockwise for a more gradual climb. We learned why the hard way: the start of the clockwise route is a very steep rise with lots of steps. Trust the park's advice—it would have been less effort to hike it the recommended way! A quick note: we couldn't hike the Gorge Trail because it closes mid-October, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. The Rim Trail itself is well-marked and fenced, so there's no danger of accidentally getting near the edge. Overall, the views are truly stunning and worth the effort.

This is a wonderful place to get outside and enjoy a hike. The views of the waterfall are magnificent. It was well worth the three hour drive to get there. Another natural wonder in New York State has been crossed of my bucket list! Yeah! 😃😊

This is a great place to visit! It is a beautiful easy hike thru a wide gorge to the waterfall! And yes, you can explore the bottom of the gorge along the way! Popular hike, so best to go off peak times! There is also a nice, quiet hike along the rim. Part of it is fenced off at the rim for safety. There are several views of the gorge below. You can park at the gorge entrance (bathroom across the street) or along the rim at a waterfall view point (bathroom).

Nice place for hiking or walking with kids. Trial to the falls are very easy and flat. Prapobly you need about one hour to complete the hiking, depending on your speed. But is worth it falls on the end are very nice. When I was there water level was pretty low. Will be even better when we get much more water flow.
Andrzej — Google review
This park has some nice trails. One of the trails leads to a gorgeous, tall waterfall that is an easy hike. There is an overlook of the falls that you can drive to. There is a small gift shop that dis not have power when we arrived so we couldn't buy a souvenir. That was sad but overall, it was a great day.
Christine G — Google review
Magnificent hike!!! If you have 2 hours, do the full loop that goes around the back of the 215 main falls. There is even more gorge and another lovely waterfall- incredible. (You need to be able to hike stairs.)

Taughannock Falls State Park, near Ithaca in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York, is home to a magnificent waterfall that plunges 215 feet—making it one of the highest east of the Rockies. For travelers, the Gorge Trail offers an easy, accessible half-mile walk that leads directly to the breathtaking falls overlook, perfect for all skill levels. Alternatively, the North Rim Trail provides spectacular, elevated views of both the gorge and the falls from above. Don't forget to explore the park's other amenities, including swimming, picnicking, and access to Cayuga Lake. Parking fee:10$ Entrance: free

No limits water paradise for a nine year old. Grandma (me) did my first water slide. The adjoining arcade gave long play times for each turn, and the burgers tasted fine after hours of water play. We had a great day!

A fun place to bring the kids for an afternoon. Short story: our kids loved it and it was worth it for us. Nothing especially stand out about it, but was perfect for our afternoon trip. Long story: We went on a Thursday afternoon (4pm-8pm). My 5yo and 2.5yo boys loved it. The kiddie pool wasn’t open at first, they said due to short staffing, but after a little bit it opened up and was open until about 7pm. Luckily he did great on the bigger kid area, but it wasn’t busy. If there were a lot of bigger kids running around on it, he might not have done as well with it. There are 4 larger slides: 2 that required being 42” or taller (they advised adults not to ride these because I would probably hit my head…lol), a larger one that required a tube that you could ride single or double and required being at least 42”, and the fourth required being at least 48” tall. The wave pool was nice enough, there’s a pool and a hot tub that are indoor/outdoor that are fun. The food was classic theme park quality, but we expected it and didn’t mind. I paid $12 for 4 chicken tenders, a soda and fries-which isn’t too bad in my opinion. There are also a few other restaurants nearby that we didn’t try. We dried off and ended the night with a half hour in the small arcade, which was a fun extra activity. Overall not a bad place, fun for kids, and we would come back.
Emily L — Google review
Water park was great for kids with variety of slides and places to play. Kids had fun and enjoyed themselves. Lifeguards were a disappointment, many just sitting on chairs, it’s hard to lifeguard when you are slouched over in your chair. If an emergency actually occurred there is no way there reaction time would be quick enough. Never been to a water park where lifeguards are sitting. Child hit her head in one of the slides and cut her finger… also slipped in wave pool. When we went to first aid they didn’t even ask what had happened when asking for ice and a bandage. Safety and rules of the slides were not being enforced by the lifeguards either, many kids fooling around , running and pushing and nothing was said or done. Water park was good overall just don’t think guest safety is at the top of their list!
J C — Google review
A pretty nice indoor water park, not so big but good enough for kids from 6 months to 8-9 old to have fun. I wouldn’t say older kids because of limited adventurous water rides. Tickets not very comparably for playing adult or kids over 42 inches $42 compared to six flag resort at about $50 but more luxury rides and options. But non-playing adult is only $18. One specialty worth mentioning is their outdoor heated pool which is awesome during winter time and hot spring (smaller size)Also got arcade games available. Food is average pricing but for hamburger is only bread and beef patty, no lettuce, pickle, tomato or anything.
Chloe J — Google review
False Advertising & Poor Customer Service We've been loyal customers for 4-5 years, but this experience was beyond disappointing. The listing clearly showed a furnished cabana, yet upon arrival, we found only basic chairs—nothing like what was advertised. On top of that, modifications had been made to the cabanas without any prior notice. Why am I paying this price if the accommodations are not what were promised? If the amenities and experience don’t match what was advertised, then the cost should reflect that. Instead of offering any sort of discount or resolution, we were simply told we could return it—nothing else. After years of coming here, we expected honesty and better customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has left us questioning if it’s worth returning.
Al — Google review
Great facility but they don’t accept cash. You have to spend 15 minutes filling out everything online just to use the facility because they don’t trust their employees to take cash. Cash is legal tender and for you to not accept it at all is beyond insane. My kids love this place but let me choose how I want to pay why do you need my birthday and emails for everyone? Just let me give you money and use the waterpark.
Katie W — Google review
The water park was nice. Didn't have to wait to get on slides. Lots for everyone to do. The lifeguard staff needs significant training. The Lifeguard working Rapids 3 (Orange tube slide). Was pushing the tubes down before people were even ready leading to two kids getting hurt. One of which was my son. My son was crying at the bottom and clearly in distress but the lifeguard just starred at us until she saw my wife get in the water to help. Another lifeguard was on their cellphone while working a slide. Definitely a lack of training.
Tyler V — Google review
Have been coming here for many years, and today was the first time ive had an issue. Kids were throwing a football in the pool and the adults were not adulting. We waited a bit to see if anyone was gonna stop them and no one did. The lifeguard actually gave it back to them to throw at one point. When it finally came at my son and almost hit him inthe face knocked over our drinks and we got up packed up and went to the counter. A ma ager said we could get a refund hopefully we will....but totally uncalled for. There should not be any football throwing...its too small an area and too many little kids running around jumping in....especially today. Parents fault I get it...but stop it before it starts and say no to the football. Could have been a trip to the ER and a much different outcome if we hadn't been paying attention.

Additionally, visitors can enjoy mountain biking trails, a tubing center, and Euro bungee.
I've been here at least 10 times now. We enjoy ourselves every time. The water park is small compared to other places like great wolf lodge or Kalahari. The smaller park works for me. It may not be suitable for older children or adults. There's a bar and restaurant on sight. Across the street, they have mountain coaster and zip lining. The rooms are nice and they're quiet at night. This is good for a 1 or 2 night stay.

I thought the place was great. Scenic views, a pool, water rides, great food, great staff and the list goes on and on. I did have two issues. In my experience, I had to pay for anything with plastic - no cash. And, my shower drain was clogged and I couldn’t get it fixed until the next day. However, it was great. The staff was awesome. I’m probably going to go skiing there this upcoming winter.

Very clean, professional and friendly staff. My boys love coming here! We enjoyed the s'mores kit, Starbucks coffee and the Greek Peak Salad. Just make sure to check on the days and hours of the activities to plan accordingly during off season times. We will definitely be returning for the winter activities. Thank you to Hope, the manager for assisting in a slight issue that we had.

Went to Greak Peak for a birthday getaway. Awesome place to stay so much stuff to do in one central location. Definitely recommend the steakhouse in the lobby ...fantastic food. Super family friendly. Only giving four stars because we were a bit disappointed that they didn't have a pool for hotel guests unless you paid for the full water park.

Only went to the fall festival. Didn't get to ride the coaster because the line was too long and they close immediately at 6pm. And the part of the line we were at wouldn't not make it in by then. N they offers no accomadations. I would have came back on Sunday to be able to ride it. Needless to say lesson learned and will not participate in their fall festival next yr.

So we booked a room for an up come a for Cortland College. Looked amazing looking forward to staying Booked through Expedia. NEVER once had a problem with EXPEDIA. Got a call from the hotel that Expedia overbooked us coincidentally the same time 2 Weddings were going in that weekend and 12 other cancellations had to be made!!! That is just saying they needed the rooms for the wedding guest instead which we booked way back in August. So will never use this Hotel at all. And why didn’t they catch the overbooked rooms back then ??!!!!

I booked a 3-night stay at Greek Peak Mountain Resort through Groupon for a baseball tournament. The listing gave the impression that room included a kitchen, and we paid over $1,000 expecting a quality room with amenities. The website stated that all suites included kitchens. I phoned to confirm and was directed to an automated attended and when I asked ”Does my room include a kitchen?” the response was “All suites include a kitchen with a full sized fridge.” I went ahead and bought groceries for our stay. When I got to the hotel and checked in, I inquired about the kitchen, I was informed that there was no kitchen. Staff seemed indifferent, stating that some rooms have kitchens, some don’t. When I got inside the room, there was not even a fridge. To make matters worse, another family on our team — who booked the exact same Groupon deal and paid the same price — was given a huge, two-floor suite with a full kitchen and modern furnishings. This is clearly unfair and misleading. The worst part was the attitude of the staff. Not interested in accommodating my children and my needs. I have never posted a negative review but I want to make my experience heard. Would never stay here again, and recommend people avoid this location.

If there were more than 5 stars we would have gladly given them! Arriving yesterday with 2 bird-loving enthusiasts, we were warmly welcomed by Rachel who was incredible! She was waiting to greet the eldest bird lover, my mother. At the age of 102, Catherine had the best time recognizing the variety of birds, while Rachel showed us some of the hands on displays. Rachel's kindness and genuine interest in making Catherine's experience a positive one was beyond what we ever expected. Thank you, to the staff and especially Peter Leipzig and to Rachel for bringing so much joy to someone who has dedicated her life in helping others.

This place was an unexpected delight. The family and I are visiting Ithaca and ran into some rainy weather that spoiled a lot of outdoor plans we'd made for the day. We decided to give the lab a shot. Peter was working the front desk, and he gave us a verbal your of the public area, and was very helpful with my son, encouraging him to log his bird observations into the touch screen device they had for such things. There is a really cool interactive area with a microscope, short videos, and art made from feathers and bones. Also there was a small art gallery featuring realistic nature renderings (and a whole how-to video series in the auditorium) It was free to the public and provided us with a very entertaining 2 hours. Really cool spot!

Fun museum about birds, the front desk lady was so awesome about explaining everything. They offer binoculars to borrow to view the birds and ducks in the water out front. There is hiking options, but it was pretty cold when I was there. There’s a theatre room with different short videos about different birds. Many interactive activities for kids and adults. Don’t forget to go upstairs! This was a cool experience.

It is one of the most beautiful universities I have been to. Looks like I am standing in the sky watching downside hills, rivers , buildings; also like standing on the buildings hundreds years ago, feels how the past people think and learn in the university. The waterfalls is great to watch and it’s free parking after 5pm. The only bad thing is that when I am passing the walking road , one young people just drive until he sees me , and yell on me which is his fault not yield on the walkers on the yielding sign of walkers. Be careful if you walk over there , seems some young divers there is careless driving.

A quiet, historic campus perched on a hill above the small town of Ithaca. The stone buildings are beautiful but feel a bit tired—roads are rough, parking is a nightmare, and the campus, while scenic, feels somewhat isolated and less alive than other major universities. Highlights: • Uris & Andrew D. White Library: Gorgeous, especially the cast-iron stacks in White Library. Feels like walking into a magical archive. • Sage Chapel: Breathtaking interior. We walked in as a student practiced Bach on an instrument that looked like a piano but sounded like a pipe organ—absolutely heavenly. • Café Jennie: Tucked inside the Cornell Store. Great macaroons, cozy atmosphere, and shelves of books by Cornell authors. • Morrison Dining Hall: Modern, clean, with a good pasta bar. • Cornell Dairy Bar: A hidden gem for fresh, creamy ice cream. Worth a visit for the views, the libraries, and the intellectual charm—but be ready for hills, potholes, and a sense of quiet detachment.

Nestled in 811 acres of lush wooded parkland, Buttermilk Falls State Park offers a plethora of outdoor recreational opportunities. The park features hiking paths, a serene lake, a stunning waterfall, and well-equipped campgrounds for nature enthusiasts. Located just 10 minutes away from the Robert H. Treman State Park area, Buttermilk Falls is often considered even more picturesque than its renowned neighbor.
Beauty around every corner. The gorge trail starts with a ton of stairs, but there are 2 falls just on the way up. The climb is worth the view. There are multiple falls along the trail all relatively close giving you amazing photo opportunities. There is a swimming area at the bottom of the falls right near the parking area and restrooms. There are also camping and picnicking areas. This is one of my favorite waterfall trails out of the many in the area

I came here with a couple friends while visiting from out of state. The waterfall system was pretty cool to see and the trail was well maintained. There are some wetter spots on the trail from the falls and plenty of stairs, so I'd be mindful of these things as you traverse it. It's a cool spot that plenty of people were seeming to enjoy. There are also trails leading off the falls if someone wanted to hike longer and I thought that was cool. 5 stars from me!

This is a nice well-kept state park much like many of the New York State parks we visited. Unfortunately at the time we visited (early August 2025), there wasn’t enough rain in the past few days which resulted in just a trickle to be seen on the main falls. But the staff was very helpful in guiding us to the Gorge Trail from the Lower Park area (main area) to see the other falls and pools. It is a hike up with trail and steps of about 1/2 mile and you can see 5-6 smaller waterfalls which look great. The main falls at the parking area also has a nice pool area - clean and clear water.

A beautiful park with a waterfall. Ideal for families wanting to enjoy a picnic or do camping. Great outdoor activities for kids. Lots of cabins built inside the park for families to book and enjoy. 10 USD Vehicle entry and parking fee. Loved the beauty of the place.

Buttermilk Falls is absolutely stunning! The trails are well-marked and offer something for everyone — from easy scenic walks to more adventurous hikes with beautiful waterfall views at every turn. The cascading falls and natural pools look like something out of a postcard, and the sound of the water is so peaceful. The park is clean, family-friendly, and perfect for a summer swim or a quiet nature escape. Don’t forget your camera — every corner is photo-worthy. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots in New York!

Beautiful spot! The waterfall is stunning and the short trail gives you great views from both the top and bottom. Easy to reach, well maintained, and perfect for a peaceful nature stop.

Not far from Ithaca! Great hiking trails with amazing views of waterfalls and rock formations carved by the stream. Not as long as Watkins Glenn’s so it’s perfect for a quick hike.

Wow! These Falls are absolutely stunning! The Hike up to the top has a lot of stairs. However it has places to sit and rest. We went early to avoid crowds and it does have crowds. I felt safe hiking even though a few spots didn’t have railings. It’s well worth the climb and it’s dog friendly !

Robert H. Treman State Park, also known as Enfield Glen, is a must-visit destination near Ithaca, NY. The park features a picturesque gorge with stunning waterfalls and a stream-fed swimming hole surrounded by hiking trails and camping areas. While the initial part of the gorge trail is relatively flat and meandering, the northern end offers breathtaking sights including giant waterfalls and epic gorges that leave visitors in awe of nature's beauty.
Absolutely amazing Park!!! The waterfalls are just amazing! And it's absolutely beautiful and you can actually swim in a couple of the waterfall pools underneath the fall. Only when an approved lifeguard is there if you have children. absolutely gorgeous and I highly recommend that you make that a definite stop when exploring.

We went here on a weekday. Pretty quite and less crowded on a weekday. The Gorge trail was little treacherous but it was worth it. A great view of the waterfalls. Make sure you do this hike on a pleasant weather. Sunny day might kill you

Not a popular state parks so we came here with less expectations and were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful hikes. Gorge trail was pretty flat hike. Lots of waterfalls to see till the 115 ft Lucifer falls. We saw folks taking the rim trail too to view the Lucifer falls from the viewing deck. Trail to the swimming hole Enfield Glen falls has a pretty flat trail. Not very crowded too. But swimming was closed when we reached at 4 pm. Folks can take the trail from the lower to the upper entrance but we drove as they have parking lots in both places.

Starting from the Old Mill, the Gorge Trail is an unforgettable hike through some of the most stunning natural scenery in the region. The trail winds along dramatic rock formations carved by centuries of water flow, with cascading waterfalls and lush greenery at every turn. The stone steps and ledges offer breathtaking views—but also call for good, sturdy shoes, as the terrain can be uneven and slippery in spots. This is a mild to moderate hike that rewards every step with visual splendor. The sound of rushing water and the cool shade of the gorge make it a refreshing escape on a warm day. Whether you're an avid hiker or just out for a scenic walk, this trail is a must-see.

Well worth the hike to see the upper falls! Take the gorge trail to see the best view of the upper falls. It is a nice hike with lots of stairs, tree roots and rocks. There are about 100 steps when you get Close to the point with the best views... But worth the hike!

A must see whenever you are visiting Ithaca!!! Beautiful stony trail that takes you to an amazing array of cascades and waterfalls throughout the park!!! Lucifer falls was the highlight of my day!!! Trail has lots of steps so take your time when visiting and enjoy the views!!

Watkins Glen State Park is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts. The park features rocky cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and stunning views from rim trails. Visitors can also enjoy trout fishing in the lakes within the park. Additionally, the area surrounding the park offers a variety of attractions including Watkins Glen International Racetrack, Taughannock Falls, Corning Museum of Glass, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants.
Such a beautiful hike. Being in a gorge like this is a one of a kind experience. Trails are excellently maintained and marked clearly. Staff at the visitor center were very helpful. The entire thing is under 1.5 miles, so you can explore all the trails and see everything this place has to offer in 1 day. Also seems to have a shuttle maybe just on weekends and it's a very accessible hike/ sights for all ages.

Great views, fall colors at its peak. And no matter when you hike the gorge trail, it’s always wet and muddy so dress appropriately with hiking shoes. We ended up doing the gorge trail 3 times back and forth coz it’s so pretty. And then did the rim trail too taking the Jacob ladder 150-180 steps down to gorge trail again. Visiting here 10 years we felt there is a new construction happening. Infact the start of the gorge trail is blocked and there is a detour on the rim trail to get to the gorge trail currently. Parking lot is $10 day parking, which can be used in any other finger lakes state parks.

I traveled all the way from Canada just to see Watkins Glen State Park, and it was truly worth every mile. Visiting during the fall made it even more magical the vibrant colors of the leaves against the dark stone walls and cascading waterfalls created a scene straight out of a painting. Walking through the Gorge Trail felt peaceful and unreal at the same time. The crisp autumn air, the golden light, and the gentle sound of rushing water made it an experience I’ll never forget. Every corner was picture-perfect, yet no photo could capture how it felt to be there. Watkins Glen in fall is pure perfection calm, colorful, and full of life. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a deep wish to return again.

Start-to-end stunning views and modest trail length on the 1.5 mile Gorge Trail make this a perfect family hike with younger kids. We brought a group of eight with four children under 10 and everyone loved the experience. It took about an hour-and-a-half with plenty of photo and snack breaks. The Gorge Trail is mostly stone and well-maintained. We took the North Rim Trail back and it was a lot less crowded than the popular Gorge Trail. Lots of steps make for a vigorous climb at times, but it was all manageable for our 6-year-old and 7-year-old. The many waterfalls keep everyone motivated to push forward, and the rock walls make for incredible scenery throughout. One of the best hikes I’ve ever taken.

Came here camping with a friend over the summer and we had a great time. The gorge was beautiful and the walk was pretty nice, other than the last part of climbing all the stairs back up to the parking lot. The pool was nice to hang out in, but they only had one diving board open so there was always at least 3 people waiting to go on. The weekend we went was packed so we ended up with a campsite out in the open on the grass and no trees blocking our view of our neighbors so I suggest checking the campsite before going because we weren’t aware of that

This place doesn’t disappoint! Beautiful waterfalls/foliage and well-maintained. I would recommend hiking shoes because it does get a bit wet/slippery on some spots. Lots of steps, but still pretty easy. Takes 1-2 hours done leisurely. Many spots to take a breather or to relax and enjoy the scenery. I’d recommend doing early and a day after it rains is best.

Visited Watkins Glen State Park during peak fall season, and it was one of the most breathtaking experiences I’ve had. The gorge trail is simply magical , waterfalls flowing through layered rock walls, colorful leaves carpeting the paths, and mist rising from the falls made it feel straight out of a postcard. The park was fairly busy, but completely worth it. The trails are well-maintained and easy to follow, though be ready for stairs (lots of them!). Every turn offers another photo-worthy spot. Parking was easy to find near the main entrance, and restrooms and picnic areas were clean. If you can, go early in the morning to beat the crowds and catch the sunlight filtering through the gorge, it’s unforgettable. A must-visit, especially during fall foliage season! 🍂🌊

Breathtaking views! The waterfalls, stone stairs, misty atmosphere, and light rain — what more could you ask for in an outdoorsy adventure? It does get busy, but it’s absolutely worth it. If you have balance issues like I do, I highly recommend bringing a walking stick. And if you’re not super physically fit, I’d suggest starting from the upper entrance and going down the stairs rather than climbing up — there are over 800 steps, and I know I couldn’t have managed them going the other way! We spent about three hours on the Gorge Trail, between walking, climbing stairs, and stopping often to soak in the scenery and take photos. The entire place feels almost magical — fairy-like, if you believe in that kind of thing. There’s even a spot that looks like a doorway; I called it the “door to the fairy realm.” This was truly an unforgettable experience and a must-do hiking adventure! And before you leave town, make sure to snap a photo at the phone booth — it’s a must-pic moment!

Nestled in the charming village of Montour Falls, just a stone's throw from Watkins Glen, Shequaga Falls is a breathtaking sight that captivates visitors with its impressive 165-foot cascade. The name "Shequaga" translates to "tumbling waters" in the Seneca language, reflecting the area's deep Native American heritage. This stunning waterfall can be easily spotted from your vehicle as you drive through town or by taking a short stroll to the viewing area if you find parking nearby.
Easily accessed from the road this falls will not disappoint! A very short walk from the street parking will get you to a beautiful view and just enjoy this gem! There’s a lot of history behind the name so read up on the information available on the many signs throughout the garden.

Nestled in the quaint village of Montour Falls, New York, Shequaga Falls—also known as “She-qua-ga” or “tumbling waters”—is a true hidden gem that feels like a secret whispered by nature. This stunning 156-foot waterfall cascades down the cliffs right into the heart of the village, creating a dramatic and serene scene that seems straight out of a fairytale. As a traveler constantly seeking authentic and picturesque locations, I was genuinely taken aback by how accessible and beautiful this spot is. In the photo I snapped during my visit, you can see how Shequaga Falls steals the spotlight—framed perfectly by the still-bare early spring trees and a brilliant blue sky dotted with cottony clouds. The vibrant green of the lawn and the bright yellow forsythia in bloom bring the whole scene to life. What’s especially striking is how the falls are right at the end of a residential block—you’re literally standing between homes and suddenly met with this powerful natural spectacle. Whether you’re a road tripper passing through the Finger Lakes or a photographer chasing natural beauty, Shequaga Falls is worth a quick detour. It’s peaceful, photogenic, and free to visit—exactly the kind of unexpected joy that makes travel so addictive. Don’t forget to bring your camera—it’s hard to take a bad shot here.

Love these falls at right in the village, even though the water was barely flowing after a long dry spell. Easy access and a great setting for perfect photos, especially in the fall.

An easily accessible Falls, right off the roadway. There is a small park at the entrance, but we'll paved sidewalks to get to the Falls. It wasn't running strong during our visit but still beautiful to see!

Another nice spot to stop by near Watkins Glen. In September looks a bit dry. Hard to find parking near by, not sure if you can park on the side of the road.

A nice small waterfall view. In between 2 houses on one side and if you cross the bridge, a view of the rest of the small waterfall, where the water runs to, and a high view of the Watkins Glen town. Beautiful!

Beautiful waterfall that’s in-between two houses. Very well kept park.

Another beautiful waterfall in Montour Falls! Also another roadside attraction that requires zero hiking as it’s right along the road. Beautiful little area to relax and enjoy the sounds of the falls. They have a benches to sit at or you could bring a blanket and have a nice little picnic in the grass!

Celebrated brewery boasting a simple tasting room offering flights & growlers of 10 craft beers.
Always a great experience and really good beer. One suggestion could you designate a space at the bar where we can order? When the bar is full it’s difficult to place an order.

Great place, nice outdoor area and extremely dog friendly! Good beer and a food truck to boot! Would definitely recommend.

It's been one of the best locals breweries for years, and the new owners have kept it pretty much the same. Thankfully! More indoor and outdoor seating for nice weather. Some great seasonal rotating flavors like Peach, and the best Pumkin (anywhere maybe!). Pizza truck outside had deliciouse samples, on Sunday anyways. Will keep returning!
