Stopped by to get my favorite wine and ended with a case. This is the best wine I have ever tasted. The family has danced and eaten and enjoyed Cashe Creek and made great memories. Thanks to the staff for helping me make my selection and loading the car. Happy Holidays.

What a great place to sit and drink some wine. The ambience is amazing and the wines were excellent. I’m not a big fan of white wines, but there whites were very tasty and easily drinkable. My son especially enjoyed the cat wandering around!
Mark M — Google review
We had a great host, Danielle(i think),purchased a small tray of food and enjoyed a flight of tasting. Left with 4 bottles of wine. Highly recommend
Bonnie S — Google review
This was a pleasant stop. Cache Creek winery has really nicely landscaped grounds. It's spacious and relaxing. Definitely dog friendly (always appreciated). Wine tasting fee included the glass, but no discounts on wine, unfortunately. Still a nice spot to stop and rest.
Shauna W — Google review
On our way home to Chico from Fort Bragg, we stopped at Cache Creek Vineyards for a late afternoon wine tasting. My goodness, what a lovely space! We sat outside in Adirondack chairs under large shady trees, and enjoyed a Classic Tasting ($15). They welcomed our pup — even brought him treats! — and were fine with us enjoying our own road trip "car-cuterie", even though they sell charcuterie style snacks in the tasting room. Cache Creek is a bit too far out of the way for regular visits, but anytime we traverse Hwy 20 to the coast & back, I will put in a request for a stop here!
Jamie H — Google review
I have driven past this place for years going to the coast, and I'm so glad we finally stopped! Their wine is delicious! Super friendly staff, beautiful place. Worth the detour for sure!

Langtry Farms Vineyard & Winery

Mentioned on

Winery
Food & Drink
Langtry Farms Vineyard & Winery, established in 1888 by British actress Lillie Langtry, has a rich history and continues to thrive despite challenges like Prohibition. The winery offers a warm and accommodating experience with informative staff who guide visitors through tastings of their five different wines. The stunning views and delicious wines make it a favorite spot for many, with visitors praising the beautiful location, delicious food at events, and exceptional hosts.
This is one of my favorite wineries in Lake County. I actually do not want to write a review just so I can keep this place to myself, haha! Scott is Warm and accommodating that thoroughly explains you everything in the plight. Last year you pick which wine to taste, but now they have 5 different ones for tasting. Plenty of parking and seating, it is recommended though to make your reservations sometimes it can get busy. On a beautiful day, sit outside and just enjoy that cool breeze and view of the lake and the mountain with a glass of wine. Try their Port, you can bring your own snacks. They do lunches at the top of the property, call them ahead to arrange that for you and your group. Get two bottles and your tasting fee is waived. Ask for their current promotions as they may have them. This March it is buy 2 get 1 Sauv Blanc and Mt Tam honey, sweet deal! Interesting history too, ask them about it.
Liberty A — Google review
In my opinion one of the most underrated wineries in the region. Amazing views, not overly touristic, and authentic experience.
Julia D — Google review
Lovely lovely little vineyard with interesting history. Shaded view of a lake close to Harbin hot springs!
Natalie N — Google review
Amazing views and winery! We only stopped by almost at closing and after the last tasting hour because we were told there were amazing views. The staff/sommelier were amazing, and came to greet us despite it being closing hour. Instead of turning us away for being closed, they opened their space to give us a small wines tasting and describe the vineyard. We had amazing conversations along with great tasting wine! (Also a dog friendly space) I really appreciate the extra kindness and the staff going out of their way to make it a great visit experience! I would highly highly recommend!! We will definitely be back after the amazing experience. PS The Sauvignon Blanc and Double Barrel Petite Syrah are amazing.
Neha S — Google review
The wines were absolutely delicious and the property was breathtaking. The vineyards rolling hills and lush greenery all seen from the hill top winery made for a wonderful experience. Make sure to try the Petite Sirah and the Double Barrel Aged Petite Sirah if available!

The trail commences at the historic Pierce Point Ranch, offering captivating views of the Pacific Ocean and abundant wildlife sightings including Tule elks and California quails. As you traverse this all-season trail, take in the beauty of wildflowers blooming along the way.
Tule elks, California quails, wild flowers, the trail is not tough but long enough. You will love this place. Remember to ware you windbreaker.
Yuanyuan L — Google review
Good one, wear pants, has bushy plants at 2 to 3 ft height. Bring ear plugs, very strong wind.
Aneesh M — Google review
It took us about 3.5 miles into the trail to see any elks, but it was worth it! There were some close to the starting point of the trail on our way back, which was about 4:30 pm. Altogether we probably saw 30 elks. Overall, the scenery was majestic! The trail was long but wasn’t difficult. Oh, we also crossed our paths with two small snakes…not sure if they were poisonous or not.
Xiaowa N — Google review
Tomales trail is a piece of a cake, with very low gradient, breathtaking views with the ocean breeze wiping out sweat, which too is minimal. A good one for beginners !

Beautiful winery to visit with wonderful upstairs tasting area. Wine was fabulous. Our tasting pourer was fun and informative. After tasting we had a great time taking in the amazing scenery while playing bocci ball and drinking our Pope Valley Winery wine. Definitely make your way here to taste!

Being member of this winery for many years! Great wines and environment. People here are professional and friendly. Especially like the big cat here, he is cute!

We love Pope Valley Winery - they are always welcoming a gracious. They host a lovely tasting on their historic property and serve fantastic wines!
Jenn M — Google review
Very cute winery with friendly staff! This is a gorgeous winery with great wines. My only flaw is I did not see an elevator for someone disabled to get upstairs but they did have downstairs seating available!
Dominique M — Google review
Very nice winery and a great way to spend a couple of hours on pleasant Saturday afternoon. Linda helped us and was very friendly and pleasant. We tried the four main wines and then she poured us the Faultline. Amazing, ended up buying a few bottles! It’s a bit off of the main road but the views and drive are well worth it!
Abhi S — Google review
If you are not looking for a pretentious snooty place to taste local Napa wines this is the place for you. Helena (our host) created a fun welcoming atmosphere for novice wine drinkers. She explained to us how to appreciate the wine and broke down the different flavors of each wine, starting with lighter wines moving towards darker. She also gave us a tour of the cave where the wine is stored, which was hand dug during the prohibition era and showed us the upstairs which gave us a stunning view of the vineyards at Pope Valley. Despite the rain, Helena gave us an unforgettable experience and did not turn us away because we were traveling with a 10 year old child. We purchased some delicious bottles of wine (Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Port) and also played some cornhole.
Gustavo D — Google review
Honestly loved the experience and how beautiful the winery is. Everyone is very kind and Kristin has such a kind spirit. We appreciated our time there, the tour, and of course the wine. 🍷 Definitely recommend to go. Would love to go again when ever life brings us back to California. 💙

We had an excellent time today,Mothers Day! Kyle was so accommodating and knowledgeable! The wine tastings were great and we were treated like Royalty..Everything about our visit was spectacular! We will highly recommend this winery for tasting to our friends!
Pat A — Google review
Did not appreciate the pours and service here. Kyle (I think that’s his name) felt as if we did not need a real pour because we were on our 4th tasting. This should not matter because we PAID for all of them, so the gesture was not appreciated by anyone in our group.
Krystal T — Google review
Went to a first pressing event in Fall of 2023 and had a great time. Mostly posting this review to upload 2025's price list. It's not on their website (so one star deduction) and I was looking at ordering a case. 4 stars because the wine we had in 2023 was beautiful.
Raul M — Google review
No Complaints! We traveled from Texas, didn't know reservations were required, and was having a bad experience at a nearby vineyard. I contacted Wellington Cellars and was pleased that they accommodated my family of 15 on a last-minute notice. Sophie, Reina, Bob, and Ramone were great. They have recently opened and were wide open with availability. We had lunch in the barrel room. This is a gem. Beautiful grounds, amazing staff, and memories of a lifetime. Cook and kitchen are not yet available, but a nice charcuterie board came with the experience.
Jennifer S — Google review
Outstanding tasting experience. Really love the wines and the Bordeaux blends are nicely done.
Mitch S — Google review
Fantastic experience! Matt was the host of hosts! We were able to taste the ancient and old zins side by side. 1882 is something special! If you want an etched magnum, this may be something to consider here! Also enjoyed the Vin de Campagne for an every day drinking wine with a very reasonable price point.

Visited as part of a tour. Cliff was our host and was simply amazing. Shared so much knowledge about the vineyard and the wines. Such a fun, vibrant host who helped us all to find wines we loved. Would absolutely recommend visiting.

Point Reyes National Seashore

Outdoor Activities
Point Reyes National Seashore is a vast 71,000-acre park featuring a visitor center, hiking trails, and stunning beaches with panoramic water views. The area was transformed into a restored natural landscape with historic elements and abundant wildlife after dairy and beef farms voluntarily sold their operations to the National Park Service between 1962 and 1978. This transition phased out modern commercial agriculture while compensating the farmers generously.
This was beautiful! Definitely worth the hike to the lighthouse, but we didn’t get to walk down to it, it closes at 4 pm. But if you plan to go, definitely bundle up! Need jackets, cap and ear muffs! It was freezing and super windy! We really experienced some history that day!
Ishrath R — Google review
Stunning views, seriously. I found point reyes really cool because at first it honestly looks like any part of CA but you look a little closer and see plants you normally wouldn't see. Makes you feel like you're in a parallel world or something. What's even better is the trails that lead towards the coast. The beaches are so clean because they're only accessible by trail and there are barely any people on the beach.
Ayler E — Google review
Had an amazing experience as in a few hours we saw 20+ humpback whales, elephant seals, elk, sea otters and even a mountain lion. The lighthouse is often fogged in and windy so check the weather. We went in late October and got lucky. The trails were well marked and the bathrooms were clean. Other than the road to the Elk reserve, the rest of the roads were in great shape if you don’t mind a little cow manure.
David W — Google review
Absolutely stunning views—this spot feels truly special. The walk from the parking lot is short but scenic, and you might even spot deer or tule elk grazing along the way. The coastal cliffs and ocean backdrop make the whole experience memorable. The lighthouse is well-preserved and great for photos. Restrooms are available near the parking area, and it can get windy, so bring a light jacket. Overall, a peaceful and beautiful stop along the California coast.

As part of our road trip from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 we had to visit this stunningly beautiful national park and peninsula. Main reason wad to visit the iconic movie locations from the 1980 film The Fog. Inverness and its house's over the water. Point reyes lighthouse and many more stunningly areas. What a beautiful place to visit whilst in Marin County.
G — Google review
Absolutely stunning views of the beach coast untouched by man and light house at the top end of the peninsula It was a long drive from Napa or back to San Francisco but definitely worth the views and visit
Reinaldo K — Google review
Be prepared! I visited the Point Reyes Lighthouse, Elephant Seal Overlook, Drakes Beach, and Cypress Tree Tunnel. The southern tip is the windiest place on the West Coast, with wind speeds frequently over 20 mph. Much of the lighthouse area was covered in fog when I arrived, so it was difficult to see the coast. Fortunately, the Elephant Seal Overlook had elephant seals and clearer views. The Cypress Tree Tunnel and Drakes Beach were both nice spots to stroll and take in the seashore's scale. Will definitely explore more next time 🦭🌫️🌊🌳

Best place to see elephant seals at Drake's beach. The land here is generally barren with no trees but the coast and cliffs around are beautiful.

Helen Putnam Regional Park is a rustic area with steep hiking trails, a pond for fishing, and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park offers six miles of equestrian, biking, and hiking trails with panoramic views of Petaluma. It's a great spot for bird watching and features diverse oak forests, grasslands, and seasonal wildflowers. Visitors can also enjoy picnicking in the serene surroundings.
One of my favorite local spots for photographing families, engagements & more! If you are open to a short hike, Helen Putnam offers some of the best views in Petaluma! ANY time of year!
Alison P — Google review
First time here. What a beautiful park. Plenty of trails for all levels of hiking. It has bathrooms and is dog friendly. If you do the outer loop there is some killer views of Petaluma and the surrounding mountains. I parked in the parking lot. There is a $7 fee to park. There is a cute pond that people were fishing at.
Casey M — Google review
The first and only time I have visited Helen Putnam Regional Park was over the winter season. It was a spontaneous and accidental finding. As I was trying to share the beauty within Sonoma county to my friends I ended up finding an unexpected treasure of nature. With the cold and wet season at the time, my group and I didn’t stay long nor did we explore much of the park, but what we did see was quite spectacular. There’s green hills shown in a panoramic view. The people that walk around here are so friendly. Even the people with dogs. If you decide to explore this park during the fall and winter season I would make sure to come prepared. Wear shoes that you’re okay getting muddy in and wear a warm jacket. The wind gets strong especially the higher you go. There are two entrances alongside Chileno Valley Road. The first entrance is on a black concrete road. As you drive down you will see on the right side is a line of parking spots that look toward the children’s playground. There are trees that hug this area. On the other side of these parking spots is a set of restrooms and if you walk further down you run into a walking trail. The second parking lot is all gravel and it leads straight to the main hiking trail with the wooden steps. There are nine trails total in this regional park. Some of the trails continue with the wide views of the green hills, some lead to water and ponds, and others you find yourself amongst the forest of California oak trees. The walk to Overlook Point is short and the first trail you encounter up the steps. It has the wide view of the hills. You go from the parking lot and follow on the dirt trail which then leads you up some wooden and steep steps. Once you reach the top you’re at the Overlook Point view which contains a couple of benches and picnic table next to a big and shady tree. This trail isn’t ideal for those with wheelchair disability. However, there are smoother trails that are better suited for the disabled. This park invites equestrians, cyclists, and hikers. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. There is fishing at the pond there which is called Cattail Pond. The park is open from 7am-sunset. The parking fee is $7 unless you’re a member within the Sonoma County Regional parks which in that case is free. To the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad this 216 acre regional park is worth the short exercise and sightseeing! You will definitely find yourself with stunning views and among a kind and natured-oriented community. I would definitely put this one on the list of places to visit!
Angie G — Google review
Beautiful park - easy to find- ample parking. A very easy walk or hike. Suitable for Doggo friends. Will go again. Nice views
Jessica C — Google review
My favorite hiking spot in Petaluma. Parking is easy and it’s rarely ever overly-crowded. I was SO excited to see the bathrooms are now open instead of the porta potties that were there for the last few years. There’s a lovely fishing pond with a couple of benches where you can picnic. Lots of ticks so make sure to check yourself and your furry friends. A bunch of different short trails. It’s not a very long hike whichever trail you take (I think the total distance is only 6 miles).
Jay A — Google review
This park is wonderful for Hiking, mountain biking or Horse back riding. The trails are well maintained and have benches to sit and enjoy the views. I have been coming here for years taking my daughters fishing in the pond. Come out and enjoy the park with its abundance of wildlife and view of rolling hills. There is also a picnic area with playground for kids…
Peter S — Google review
Great open area for hiking and walking, some of the hillsides can be a little steep; I recommend starting at the entrance on the right. There are some wonderful views of the surrounding area. Everything was a little dry but that's to be expected at this time of year. Good views and nice people, everyone was wearing a mask :)

Just hiked here for the first time with my mother and my son who is 9. We had gorgeous weather. The hills were lush and green. We brought sandwiches for lunch and ate at picnic tables and my son played on the playground near the parking area. It was an easy hike to the top of the ridge where we had great views of the Petaluma Valley. The path we chose went past a large pond. My son loves to throw rocks into the water! There was a strong wind at the top of the ridge. Be sure to bring layers!

Marin French Cheese Co. is a must-visit destination for cheese enthusiasts, offering a wide selection of soft cheeses including Cre, Camembert, Creamy Brie, Truffle and more. The quality of the cheeses is well-maintained with a discounted section available. Additionally, visitors can find crackers, dry bread, wine and beer on site. The location features a picturesque pond surrounded by picnic tables for a relaxing experience.
Amazing hosts and sampling. We bought a handful of cheeses and had a great lunch by the lake. They have wine, meats, and bread on hand to compliment the cheese. Great place to soak up the sun and good vibes.

This is the oldest cheese company in the country and has a good selection of different types of cheese, local beers and wine. They also have a small sandwich shop. The picnic table along the small pond outside the building is a great place to have a picnic. We have been visiting here for many years and love it.

stopped by this cute cheese shop around 5:45pm. the scenery outside is so beautiful and calming surrounded by hills with a little pond to picnic at! they ran out of samples, but with the help of a friendly female staff we got 2 golden gates, 1 breakfast, 1 goat cheese and 1 chocolate soft serve. we are not cheeseheads but i think we are turning ones. we love our golden gates so much!! great to pair with fresh fruits. love this little gem place, love their promotions. definitely will stop by again when we are in the area.

My sweetie took me here—what a delightful little spot for a picnic. It was even pleasant when it was lightly raining. Lots of sweet duckies. If you don’t have all you need for a picnic—just stop in store. We tried a bunch of different cheeses, I really liked the funky Golden Gate cheese! 🧀 The staff were friendly and excited about cheese. They paired their jams skillfully too, and I’m not normally into cheese with jam! I’m excited for us to go back.

We love this cheese from Costco and stumbled across the shop on a road trip. They’ve got all the supplies to make your own cheese boards with meats, jams, etc. and cheese samples. We also picked up a toasted turkey sandwich and a twist cone to enjoy a picnic lunch back by the pond. There are plenty of picnic tables and you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer as well. Great spot!
Chelsea H — Google review
Super knowledgable, friendly and helpful staff. You can sample the cheeses before you buy. Be sure to inquire about add-ons if you're considering buying. Often the more cheese you buy they will throw in an additional cheese or item at no additional cost.
Dan G — Google review
We encountered this incredible cheese company at our local Costco. I never sample the food at Costco, but the cheese definitely caught my eye. I received my sample and walked maybe three steps away while tasting it. I immediately turned around to go buy some of this cheese. At this moment I met BJ the director of the Laura Cheney and Marin French cheese companies and he was so friendly giving us the facts about his cheese and the company in general. We returned a few days later intending to purchase a ton of this cheese but they were sold out of the mango habanero and I can absolutely see why! It is off the charts! Our family is a cheese family to put it mildly. When we traveled Europe as kids our dad taught us to love cheese from every country. One of our most favorite meals in our lives was a simple bread and cheese sandwich in Maastricht. My most favorite cheese experience ever UNTIL I TRIED THIS CHEESE. It might sound funny but I found it life changing in terms of cheese. It truly is THAT extraordinary/ I’m sure many of the other varieties they offer are as well but I just haven’t gotten that far yet! The day we went back and they were sold out we sadly told the cashier we came for cheese but they were out of it. Even she knew exactly what cheese we meant and she said “oh the mango habanero?” So if you’re looking for a cheese to blow your mind and a small business that deserves your support please try their products!
Ashlee B — Google review
Regular stop whenever we head up the coast. For years this place has consistently been a quality business from product to service. Get a sandwich or make a charcuterie from the tons of tasty items they sell, sit by the pond and enjoy.

Chandon is a renowned winery located in the heart of Yountville, Napa County. The sprawling campus offers visitors an impressive collection of sparkling and still wines to savor amidst an ethereal setting. Guests can relax in cabanas on the main lawn or gather at communal tables inside without needing a reservation for smaller groups. The winery provides a picturesque backdrop for enjoying a glass of sparkling wine and cheese while taking in the spectacular view of Yountville.
My partner took me to Chandon on Valentine’s Day for their “Toast to Love” special. The meal was just as beautiful as the campus. Huge thanks to our server Jesus who explained everything and made the wine tasting so memorable. My favorite wine was an experimental early gray - it’s like nothing I have ever had! I hope this wine becomes available for public purchase.

Had the best experience with my girls!!! Excellent service all around and our host, Grey, made our tasting extra special. The sparking wine was delicious of course and the property is stunning. A must add location for your tasting itinerary!

We had an amazing experience at Chandon California! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the fried chicken was amazing and the sparkling wines were absolutely delicious. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable wine tasting in Napa!

🍾 Chandon Gardens – Sparkling Wine in Yountville Chandon Gardens is one of many wineries in Napa Valley specializing in sparkling wine and champagne. Located in the charming town of Yountville, this winery offers a beautiful setting with scenic gardens, outdoor tables, tents, and cabanas — perfect for relaxing with family or friends over a glass of bubbly. There’s also a restaurant with an adjacent patio area that adds to the laid-back outdoor vibe. However, the overall size of the property is relatively small, and if I remember correctly, there wasn’t a tour option available during my visit. Reservations are required for tastings, and walk-ins are very limited. Pricing is definitely on the higher end — a simple bowl of chips with sauce was around $30, which felt a bit steep for what you get. The wine tasting flight itself was decent, and our server was friendly, talkative, and knowledgeable about the wines. The sparkling selections were enjoyable, especially if you’re a fan of lighter, crisp profiles. Overall, Chandon Gardens is a nice 2- to 3-hour stop to chill, sip, and enjoy the scenery, but I wouldn’t rank it at the top of my Napa wine-tasting list. Great for a quick visit, not necessarily for a full winery experience. ⭐️ 3.5/5 – Beautiful spot, good vibes, decent wine, but pricey for what you get.

Beautiful property in the heart of the Napa Valley! We went here for a tasting to start off our day in the valley and could not recommend this beautiful property more! The etoile stood out as the crowd favorite. We tasted the current vine makers first vintage where everything was completely done under their direction. It danced across my tongue.

Great, well designed location We booked a tasting with food. The food was good and the waiter made it a nice experience for us. Everything else is unfortunately rather a miss. The front desk lady was rather rude and so was a lot of the other staff, which made us feel not welcome. Reading through the other reviews this seems to be common at this place. It unfortunately makes a very bad first impression if you are being welcomed like that and does not fit the image this location wants to convey (again the person running the tasting was fun and engaged the rest the opposite)

Hess Perrson Estates, founded by the late Donald Hess, offers a unique blend of art and wine experiences. The estate features an impressive art museum showcasing contemporary works by renowned artists like Francis Bacon and Robert Motherwell. Visitors can also enjoy a seated tasting of their character-filled wines. For the adventurous, there's an ATV tour through the 1000+ acre mountainside vineyard with panoramic views.
This is our favorite winery hands down. They have a very personalized experience to their tours and you really get to experience the winery. We have done the ATV tour and the cheese pairing experience. We are members and we attended a lobster feast this year. I'll say the art museum is very worth the visit by itself and so is just walking around the grounds, but it is enhanced by the staff who are extremely knowledgeable. The wine is amazing and for what it is, it is reasonably priced. I encourage anyone in the area to schedule a tour and a tasting. But know that you do need to schedule a time, you cannot just show up to the winery and taste. This is a big part of what creates such an intimate and personal experience.

Recommend the ATV wine tasting, ask for Steve!! He listens to what you like during the first few splashes and curates the rest of the tasting a little based on it :) we loved our experience and left with some of the estate grown Malbec — delicious

A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Our host Jennifer was hospitable but allowed for nice silences when out in the vineyard during out ATV tour of the grounds. The tastes from Chef Christopher Lemerand were extraordinary and paired with the wines to highlight even the most subtle flavors of both the solids and liquids.

We didn’t have a proper reservation for wine tasting, but the staff were so kind and still offered us a complimentary glass of wine. Such a nice gesture! The art museum here is absolutely amazing — a must-see if you visit. Beautiful atmosphere and very welcoming experience overall. We’ll definitely come back for a full tasting next time!

We had such a great experience here! Our guide was so welcoming and knowledgeable. This was unique to other wineries we visited since we got a tour of the art gallery and the estate. Our guide was dedicated just to us for our visit and we left feeling like friends! The wine is excellent and we got more of an education here than any of our other stops.

Hess Persson Napa Valley is a truly special place, blending world-class wines with an inspiring art collection in the breathtaking Mt. Veeder region. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the estate’s serene beauty and welcoming atmosphere. Their Pinot Noir and other reds are nothing short of exceptional—rich, complex, and beautifully balanced, each sip revealing the craftsmanship behind every bottle. The food is equally impressive, with thoughtfully curated pairings that elevate the tasting experience to something unforgettable.

We had such an incredible experience at the beautiful Hess winery and estate. Lance was our tasting guide and absolutely knocked it out of the park - so professional, kind, knowledgeable, and most of all made us feel so welcomed and at home. They handled our travel inconveniences beautifully and rescheduled us the next day with no problem. From the moment we stepped on the property to the moment we left we were treated impeccably and continue to talk highly of our experience to friends and family. Had an Amazing trip to Napa Valley and Sonoma Wine Country last weekend. Absolutely loved Gloria Ferrer Winery. It was one of the only place that take walk-ins without any reservations. Definitely one of the best vineyards I've been too.

This was a fantastic experience! First off, the view is absolutely beautiful and the lounge area we were seated was comfortable, sunny, and had a great vibe. All of the wines we tasted were wonderful and i would love to have again. Kenny G was the one helping us out and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and overall a great host. His passion and love for the wines was evident. He gave us generous pours and even offered us more if our hearts desired. We ordered some tapas and it surprised me how high quality they were. I'm usually underwhelmed with the food at wineries but not here. We got the olives, pistachios, garlic mushrooms, patatas bravas, shrimp, duck leg confit, and the dessert platter. The olives were some of my favorite that i've had and the duck leg confit was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The dessert platter was the perfect way to end the tasting and really went well with the wines. Our whole group agreed at the end of our trip that this was our favorite of the wineries we visited. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this experience!

A Sparkling Sonata in Sonoma Let me set the scene: It’s a June morning. Not just any morning. A crisp, sun-kissed, California morning, and the kind Texans write country songs about because we can only dream of being outside this time of year without melting like a sno-cone in a sauna. We had 11:00 AM reservations for the Taste of Carneros experience at Gloria Ferrer, California’s most awarded sparkling winery and folks, the award shelf must be sagging under the weight of excellence. When we arrived, our table was already staged like a magazine spread: glasses twinkling, menus placed with precision, and views that could silence a room. My adoring sidekick: refined, radiant, and ever-so-prepared for bubbly, was already in her element. As I adjusted my chair to soak in the panoramic perfection of rolling vineyards and olive trees swaying like old souls, she was mid-sip, eyes closed, communing with the first pour. The sparkling wines? Ethereal. Each one whispered something different to the senses: crisp orchard fruit, warm brioche, a flirtatious hint of citrus, and all pulled from the estate like liquid gold. This wasn’t a tasting. It was a symphony, and we had front-row seats. We added Spanish tapas to the mix because, let’s be honest, bubbles demand a supporting cast. The Charcuterie Board: A rustic dream. Manchego, almonds, salami, dried fruit, crackers, and yes, the caper berries, plump as grapes and twice as sassy. The Marinated Olives: These weren’t the olives pressed for their estate olive oil, but a separate batch served up with bold, briny flair. While I maintain my lifelong diplomatic distance from olives, my sidekick declared them “sensational,” and I respect her palate as much as I respect her judgment in husbands. The Empanada: Flaky, golden, and filled with something that made my taste buds do a double-take. A savory masterpiece with a side of greens for moral support. Our wine guide, Ava, was the human equivalent of a great toast—elegant, warm, celebratory, and perfectly timed. Her knowledge flowed freely, her stories were engaging, and her hospitality sealed the deal. She elevated an already magical experience. The interior spaces? Picture a Restoration Hardware catalog crossed with a Sonoma dream—open, modern, and inviting. Even the vine sculpture on the wall seemed to lift its arms and say, “You belong here.” Outside, we explored more seating areas, including some modern Adirondack chairs that looked like they belonged on the cover of Architectural Digest: Vineyard Edition. And the views, dear Lord, the views. We stood together overlooking those vines, taking a photo not just to capture the moment but to testify: we were here, and it was glorious. As we wrapped up, my wife lingered with one last glass of her favorite pour, like a perfectly placed encore before the curtain closed on a flawless performance. We didn’t just enjoy the experience. We absorbed it. TL;DR: Gloria Ferrer is the Beyoncé of bubbles. Sparkling wine that sings, tapas that thrill, and views that steal your breath. Impeccable service, stunning surroundings, and a patio made for Texas escapees. Come for the wine. Stay for the soul-realignment. Already planning our return.

10/10 recommend this winery! The brunch and tasting were our favorite visit during our entire three day trip to Napa and Sonoma. They give you five star treatment and the wines are simply superb! Kenny G was by far the best wine educator and host. He recognized what we liked and made suggestions that fit our palate and lifestyle. Can’t wait to go back again and are looking forward to receiving all of the divine bottles we are having shipped home. :) 🥂

Darioush is a winery founded by Darioush Khaledi, an Iranian wine collector with a deep passion for the traditions and heritage of winemaking. The estate combines modern techniques with Bordeaux-style winemaking to produce unique reds and whites. Visitors can enjoy seven different tasting experiences, from the flagship cabernet sauvignon paired with small plates to the Culture of Wine Experience, which offers lessons on wine history alongside tastings paired with chef-prepared dishes.
My husband and I had the most amazing experience. We are on our honeymoon, and decided to book a tasting at Darioush last minute. Little did we know, it would become our favorite winery. Not only is the wine amazing (definitely try Duel while you’re there), but the customer service and generosity is top notch. Israel lead our tasting, and we happened to meet Ryan while we were at the winery. Both gentlemen were the definition of customer service, wonderful storytelling, and kindness. Thank you both for making our day here so special. Thank you, Ryan, for the recommendations and “cherry-on-top” of our day. We will be back, and look forward to enjoying our bottle of Duel from Colorado with fond memories!

Visiting Napa Valley is always a treat, but every so often you discover a winery that not only lives up to the reputation of the region, but creates an experience that feels personal, elevated, and unforgettable. That was exactly what my wife and I experienced at Darioush Winery. From the moment we stepped onto the property, the aura of the place an elegant blend of grandeur and warmth set the tone for what would become one of our favorite wine-tasting experiences in Napa. The architecture and setting immediately drew us in. Darioush has an atmosphere that is both regal and inviting, with details that transport you to another world while still grounding you in Napa’s charm. The space is beautifully designed, blending Persian-inspired elegance with California vineyard sophistication. The moment we walked in, we felt a sense of calm, as though we were about to step into something special. And it truly was. The wine tasting itself was exceptional. Every pour carried a story, and each sip revealed layers of craftsmanship and care. The staff guided us through the tasting with an attention to detail that was both informative and approachable. They had a way of making the experience feel tailored engaging us in conversation about our preferences while also sharing the history and philosophy behind the wines. It was clear that the winery takes pride in not just producing incredible wines, but also in curating an environment where guests can fully appreciate them. The wines themselves were nothing short of stunning. Each varietal seemed to capture the essence of Napa while also offering something distinct. We both found ourselves leaning into the reds, particularly the Cabernet Sauvignon, which was bold, rich, and perfectly balanced. The whites, too, held their own, crisp and refreshing without being overly sharp. It felt like every glass we tried deepened our appreciation not just for Darioush, but for the artistry of winemaking itself. What made the day even more memorable was the vibe among the guests. Napa wine tastings can sometimes feel rushed or overly formal, but here we found ourselves mingling with fellow travelers from all over. The atmosphere was social in the best way easy conversations flowing as smoothly as the wine. Sharing thoughts and reactions with others added another layer to the experience, reminding us how wine can connect people across backgrounds and stories. We enjoyed it all so much that by the end of the tasting, the decision to become members felt effortless. The quality of the wines, the warmth of the environment, and the sense of belonging we felt all combined to make it an easy yes. We’re already looking forward to the idea of returning for the member barbecue, which promises not only great food and wine but also the chance to reconnect with the community we felt a part of that day. Darioush is more than just a stop along Napa’s wine trail it’s a destination that offers the perfect mix of elegance, hospitality, and unforgettable wine. My wife and I left not just with bottles in hand, but with memories we know we’ll cherish. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on every level: ambiance, service, quality, and connection. Darioush managed to do all of that seamlessly. Verdict: If you’re passing through Napa, do yourself a favor and visit Darioush Winery. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or just looking to immerse yourself in the region’s culture, this is a place where the experience matches the reputation. For us, it was nothing short of amazing and we already can’t wait to return.

Beautiful setting, but our least favorite winery of the day. Our final stop of the afternoon and the most visually striking. Driving through the gates felt like entering a grand Persian estate. We later learned the Iranian owner lives on the property, which explained the refined design and upscale vibe. The covered patio where we were seated felt private and peaceful, and the initial pour of Chardonnay came with seasoned olives and salted pistachios. But the experience was a bit underwhelming overall. The host’s explanations were difficult to follow, and the overall tasting felt more scripted than personal. The wine selection leaned heavily into bold, peppery varietals like Shiraz, which didn’t quite suit our preferences. Our favorite ended up being the Dual Blend—ironically, not part of the official tasting flight but offered upon request.
Jea K — Google review
My husband and I just left Darioush Winery, and while the vineyard itself is absolutely breathtaking, the real standout of our visit was Antonella, our incredible sommelier. We came in knowing virtually nothing about wine—just a general appreciation—and left with a deep understanding and genuine excitement, all thanks to her. Antonella didn’t just pour wine; she guided us through a thoughtful, in-depth tasting experience that felt more like a master class than a typical visit. She explained each wine’s character, the winemaking process, and most importantly, the best pairings to truly bring each glass to life. What really set her apart was how approachable and passionate she was. Never once did we feel intimidated or overwhelmed—Antonella made learning about wine feel natural and exciting. Her ability to translate complex concepts into something relatable and fun is a true gift. We've never had a sommelier spend this much time and care explaining the nuances of wine, and it completely changed how we experience it. Antonella is an absolute gem, and we’re so grateful for the unforgettable experience she gave us. If you're visiting Darioush, do yourself a favor and ask for Antonella. You'll walk away not only with amazing wine, but with a whole new appreciation for it.

Wine tasting at Darioush is next-level. This is Persian opulence at its finest, with everything from the historical stone to the imported pistachios to the house-made Earl Grey hand soap carefully crafted. Not to mention, of course, the WINE! The tasting here was thoughtfully paired with some delicious bites, from lamb chops to pistachio soup to traditional bread. My Persian boyfriend was delighted to have a taste of home. We walked around the grounds afterwards but hope next time to take a glance at the basement (our tasting table had a glass top where we could peer down a floor to see the barrels, but we want to get a little closer next time!). We’ll definitely be back again soon to enjoy the excellent wine and unique atmosphere of Darioush.

Cline Family Cellars, located in the Carneros AVA of Sonoma Valley, is renowned for its sustainable farming practices. The vineyard employs a large herd of sheep and goats to maintain the vineyards while also utilizing composting, cover crops, and solar energy. Visitors can meet the two miniature donkeys that reside on the property.
A very lovely place to taste some great wines and enjoy a day. They got their start in Contra Costa County in the 80s squeezing some fantastic wines out of 100-year-old vines. Beautiful grounds - can be breezy, bring a jacket - and very inviting outdoor seating. Ask for Quinnie if you can - wonderful, knowledgeable, very personable, she'll make your afternoon. Keep your eyes open around the grounds and you might even catch a bit of California history. We immediately signed up for their wine club and will certainly be back.

We came to Cline Family Cellars on a Monday during vacation with our kids — and came back again on Tuesday because it was that good. The wines are beautifully crafted, and we especially loved tasting Cline’s “Shifting Tides” — elegant, smooth, and full of character. But this place is so much more than just wine. The grounds are open and peaceful, with so much to explore. There’s an original vintage train car, several ponds filled with fish you can feed, donkeys and plenty of open space. It’s crazy how relaxing and beautiful it can be — even with kids in tow. They were entertained and welcomed, and we had real time to enjoy ourselves. When we shared a personal story with a staff member, the owner came out to meet us. Their warmth, curiosity, and incredible generosity were beyond anything we’ve experienced at any winery, ever. We left with great wine and even better memories. Cline is a place we’ll return to again — and tell others about. Special thanks to Emma and Quinnie.

We really enjoyed our time spent at Cline and hope to be back in the future. The grounds were beautiful and relaxed (heads-up, it was EXTREMELY kid friendly and felt more like a brew garden than a winery). This was easily the only wine we had on our most recent trip to napa that had a taste and experience in line with their pricing.

Established by the Jacuzzi family, the estate offers wine tastings on a veranda with stunning vineyard views and features a Tuscan-inspired courtyard. Visitors can also explore The Olive Press tasting room to discover highly acclaimed extra virgin olive oils.
A wonderful family-owned winery that also features an olive oil shop offering tastings alongside wine flights. The quality and pricing are truly outstanding. The tasting room is beautifully designed, with plenty of space and snack options to enjoy alongside your wine. We sampled the full selection of whites and reds and shared a charcuterie board with three types of cheeses, spiced almonds, and olives. They also serve bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar—absolutely delicious and a perfect pairing. The olive oil shop is impressive, with a wide variety of oils and vinegars. It was hard to choose because everything we tasted was excellent, but we eventually went with a few classic favorites. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you love wine, olive oil, and Mediterranean flavors, this spot delivers it all—at very reasonable prices. A must-visit!

Absolutely beautiful building and proiperty with mediocre wine and service. We came earlier in the day and thoroughly enjoyed an olive oil tasting at their “Pressed” location so we expected similar service here, but it fell short. The wines were decent, we bought a case, but there were only 2 we liked enough to buy. The guy who did our tasting seemed disconnected from us, though he tried to be pleasant. Overall, we weren’t impressed.

We visited this winery on a Wednesday and were able to walk in for a wine tasting without a reservation. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us information on each wine, where the grapes grew, and other interesting facts about the family. We ordered a charcuterie board and also sampled the olive oils in their olive oil shop. We stayed in Sausalito and were able to get here in about 45 minutes.

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon tasting wines. We found the place while driving and were not disappointed. They have gorgeous outdoor seating where we enjoyed their wine looking out the vast field of the vineyard. Their food menu is not extensive yet the choices will fill you up. We ended up ordering pizza with bruschetta. We were a group of 4 so we tried their white & red wine. The prices were reasonable for a bottle and the wines were really good. You can bring kids but i would recommend making an adult trip to this place.

We had a great experience at the bar with the bartenders Sam and Tim, after taking a look in the shop there and trying some pretty spectacular olive oils and balsamics. I bought a 6 pack that I put together with my favorites and just know I will be bummed when I run out, being from Chicago will make it hard to just go and stock up again but wow their carmalized onion balsamic is beyond words. I ended up joining the wine club because of how amazing the service and wine was. The chocolate wine shot was fun. The wine is poured directly into a piece of chocolate. Beautiful property and A++ would recommend.

Beautiful building and property! Service was excellent! Thank you Lauren for a fantastic wine tasting and Genevieve for an exquisite olive oil and vinegar tasting. This was definitely our favorite stop!

I'm from Utah. This is my favorite winery, hands down. Everyone is so accommodating, the wine is fantastic, the grounds are phenomenal, and the experience is always the best. I bring cases of wine home because I can't get it in Utah. I could rattle off a handful of different times where everyone; like literally the whole winery went above and beyond to appease me. I visit every year. Multiple times in some years, and Jacuzzi is just always a high mark above...everywhere else. *FAVORITE*

What a great little shop to buy and taste olive oils and vinegars! We had the BEST service and she was so knowledgeable about the oils. We even got to taste the oil straight off of the press!

Definitely a place worth visiting! We scored Jan to handle out tasing and she was confidently knowledgeable about everything to do with olives, olive oil, and how Jacuzzi makes it. Their olive oils are really good! They have a nice, large selection of styles and flavors to try. Their store is loaded with lots of great gifts and olive oils too. So, make a reservation and go!

I received two sets of olive oil and vinegar, one Basil and Pear and another Italian Blend and Bourbon. Lovely gift set from my son. Unfortunately the Italian Blend is so bitter it burned my throat. Extremely and unusually bitter. I know Olive oil since I’m Greek and my uncle had an olive mill that I grew up next to it. I drizzled some on my Mediterranean vegetables to bake, taste it and I stopped. The oil is not old just bitter. Can’t use it. I’m sad about it. So I don’t recommend the Italian blend. The rest is fine.

This is the place for enriching your life with Exceptional quality Italian balsamic vinegars and nice olive wood kitchen supplies such as serving trays, boards, trivets etc, some very lovely gifts but most importantly locally milled high quality, lab tested, highly awarded olive oils. Rustic, farmer style store offers a couple of oils to taste and mix with vinegars to get an idea about their delicious flavours. The professional blue glass (blind) tasting is available as well (NO BREAD!) This one lasts about 45 minutes and is really fun, informative eye opening experience. Pretty dungeons though, as you may get hooked up on a high quality oils and no other store purchased oil will satisfy you after that. Beware! It’s soo delicious…

Amazing olive oil and vinegar. Better than any I’ve had in Italy. We had a great time tasting all the oils and vinegars with Genevieve. She made the experience amazing and was a real pleasure to talk with.

Lovely olive press. We purchase a bottle made from olives off of a 130 yr old tree. Must have reservations but so gracious to let us taste without one. Free shipping with $85 purchase.

We’re club members at the Olive Press and today just picked up our first order, our third time here. The staff are amazing, and we couldn’t get what we wanted, but the staff helped us pick out great substitutes. We also landed upon a Festival of Olives, and it was planning amazingly! We had lots of fun and overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend the Club Membership because you can get olive oil packages and customise and select to your own needs. Beware of spending a lot of money to try all of the cool oils and balsamic!

The wines were delicious and we enjoyed a fresh sandwich. This was a great day trip for us and highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back in the future!

Beautiful grounds. Very Tuscan vibe. Played Italian music which was very nice. Did a wine tasting. Took about 15 minutes to get served our first glass from our hostess which was bit long to sit there. She was delightful, very nice and knowledgeable. We ended up buying a few more bottles. Was such a beautiful day. We walked around the grounds which were stunning.

Viansa Winery is absolutely breathtaking. The rolling vineyards, warm stone architecture, and sweeping views make it feel simultaneously grand and deeply intimate. As a wedding photographer, I’m drawn to spaces that let couples feel effortless and truly themselves, Viansa does that beautifully. Beautiful winery and vineyard with an amazing view. We had a lovely tasting with Adrian on the back porch that was both fun and informative. They have a large assortment of wines which makes it easy to fine one to please both white and red lovers. Although we didn’t have a chance to try all their meats and cheeses they had an impressive assortment.

Had the best late afternoon lunch and wine tasting experience at Viansa Winery. Cole was a gracious host, very knowledgeable about the wine and nailed our differences in taste, customizing our tastings with perfection. The food was delicious too! We shared the charcuterie board for 2 and an Italian sandwich on a fresh, soft ciabotta roll. The property and views were picturesque. And the music selection completed the ambiance with a relaxing and easy vibe. We could have spent all day there! We took home prosecco and their signature white. I even bought a cute hat and sweater at their boutique marketplace on site. Loved every minute and worth every penny.

Jamaal was a fabulous and knowledgeable server. Viansa was my first stop in CA wine country and I’m so glad because it set my bar high! Incredible views and delicious wines. Purchased a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to take home. Hope I am able to make it back out to Sonoma soon and come again.

We had a wonderful time at Viansa! The view of the vineyard is gorgeous! Everyone was very professional and friendly. I learned so much about wine during our wine tasting. Thank you for a lovely time!

We absolutely loved our afternoon tasting at Viansa. Our host, Adrian, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wines we tasted along with the terroir that produced each varietal. We loved the rose, the Sangiovese and the Nero D'Avola which is certainly a rare treat to experience at a Sonoma / Napa winery. Each wine tasted very individual and this is NOT your standard Napa jammy cab shop! We never felt rushed or under pressure to buy wine, although we did happily leave with three bottles to enjoy at home! Can't recommend this place, or Adrian, highly enough for a wonderful afternoon of wine tasting with spectacular views and wines to match! Pictures of the stunning property and also my parents excited about the prospect of more wine tasting at home :)

Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Judd's Hill Winery & MicroCrush is a family-owned winery that offers a unique and artistic approach to winemaking. The family, known for their artistic expressions in painting, poetry, and music, sees wine as another form of art. While they produce traditional varietals like Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, they also offer uncommon blends such as Grenache and Viognier.
I love Judd’s hill, it’s a family owned winery and is such a calm relaxed space. The people there really take time to make the tasting special, it was my birthday and they put my name on the tasting menu, such a sweet touch. I really liked their wines and feel that it’s a nice gem in the napa valley, close to napa city and tucked away, very quiet and serene for an afternoon :) I would reccomend this winery !

CJ was so informative and fascinating to listen to. I was designated driver for this winery so can't speak to the wine (my girlfriends liked it!), but I loved the experience and would happily return.
Claire S — Google review
Great wineries! It was a blast to come over for their wine tasting! We were introduced about how the wines were made, the fire, and the contacts the winery made with the farmers. Such a great amount of knowledge! The wines here were extremely good. The Chardonnay and the white wines were pretty standard, with some of the mixing ones standing out as having a great ore&after taste. The ones I like the most were the 2011 mix, as it gave a little bit of bitterness initially, but it went away quickly to leave on the fruit flavors. The popular rose was fine, but a little sour and not outstanding for me. The estate was fantastic. It was definitely a very good made with little taste of alcohol, but yet you can tell the wine was deep and strong. The fruit ness of the grape mixed really well with everything else, giving you a great aroma as well as the richness of the grape - simply a condensed feeling. We had a fun blind tasting event suggested by the staff. We enjoyed it a lot and were offered with some sweet wines later on! Their sweet wine was on point, not as sweet as the ice wines I had in Canada so I bought two back. Fantastic experience in a great yard. Love it a lot!

We had such a great time at our tasting today! Todd was very friendly and gave us a personalized tasting. We learned a lot about the different varieties and some history of the valley. The wines were excellent. We will definitely be back.

Our experience at Judd's hill is the highlight of our entire vacation in Napa. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Todd, and he gave us the most personal and intimate wine tasting experience we have ever had. He stayed with us for 2 hours, leaving only to grab more wine. He is funny, charming and knowledgeable, and we learned so much from him. We enjoyed our experience so much that we came back the next day for the "make your own blend" session. It was unique in that we could take samples directly from the barrel and create a red blend that was specific to our palate. We even got to design the label on the bottle. These personal bottles (along with our picture holding them in the vineyard) will be the centrepiece of our cellar. Thanks Todd!

Del Dotto Historic Winery & Caves is a restored 19th-century winery and vineyard that offers tours of its historic caves for aging wine. The winery boasts two cave locations - a rustic historic one originally dug in 1885 and a newer, opulent one modeled after a Venetian Palace with crystal chandeliers, marble floors, and imported Italian tiles.
We had the most spectacular time on our tour. We went to the wrong location first so we’re late but everything was great and the staff was so accommodating and understanding. Touring the cave and getting so much history and background while sipping on so many amazing varietals made for the most pleasant afternoon. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with ease. While the newer location looked gorgeous, the original cave tour and the hospitality from our guide really made our day. The pizza served after the tasting was good, but the sandwich?!?!? WOW! The bread used for the panini is perfection! (Apologies, I forgot our guide’s name, but included a screenshot with him in it.)

I absolutely love it here! The staff gives such detailed explanations about the wines, and you can only buy these exclusive wines right here, not anywhere else. The pizza they served during the wine tasting was super delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Exclusive, ambient, personal, and overall excellent experience!!! Of all the vineyards we’ve been to, this has now taken the top spot! Such a private and intimate setting, amazing guides/hosts, and the wine- oh sooooo elevated and fine! Our guide Kyle was amazing, super knowledgeable, and there’s just something great about being able to taste wine straight from the barrel- raw and exquisite at the same time! Definitely book in advance and enjoy this wonderful experience!!! We will definitely be back and also visit the other locations!

PJ was an amazing tour guide! We were able to taste the wine directly out of the barrels in the cave which made the experience extra unique. At the end of the tour they also gave us delicious sandwiches and pizza. Highly recommend and will definitely be back the next time we visit Napa!

My wife and I had a great experience at Del Dotto! While I am definitely not a wine connoisseur, this tasting experience made me feel like I was. The venue was beautiful, the “cave” was neat, and our guide Taylor was very knowledgeable. The pizza was pretty good too!

It was my first time tasting wine out of a French & American oak barrel in a cave and the experience was phenomenal. Thomas, our guide/sommelier, made it fun and he’s so charismatic. The fresh-in-house pizza that they served at the end of the tour was yummy. The whole staff and venue was outstanding. The tour and cost of the wine was worth it.
Shirley — Google review
This was an outstanding tour and we learned so much about how the tast of the wine is created. Rachael was our guide and we can't say enough good things about her. She was super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We visited several wineries that weekend, but this was the most personable and best tasting in our opinion. We were skeptical of the price of the tour, but to our surprise, it was well worth it. We got generous pours and the meat and cheese tray was great. I was personally amazed by how much the barrels affected the tast. I have known that the barrels were a important part of the process, but after the side by side tasting, straight out of the barrels, I was shocked by the differences it creates. I highly recommend Del Dotto to anyone who is looking for some wine knowledge and great wine. Be sure to make reservations and ask for Rachael if possible.
Ben B — Google review
Decent tour and the wines were good. Compared to some of the other wineries in the area, it was okay. If you're looking for a lot of sampling, this is your tour. They're not shy about offering a little more, but it felt too much like a sales tactic to get you to buy their expensive bottles. The cave was cool and was the highlight of the visit. You get to taste a lot out of the barrel, but I wish you could compare the barrel to the bottle for a better experience. Your tour also includes a pizza in the middle of the tasting, which throws off your palette. For the price of the tour, I'd look elsewhere first. Also, the tour guide did not wear a mask and the entire tour was indoors. As soon as you have a glass you're encouraged to remove your mask.

We have no brought multiple friends and family back for tours who have also joined! We attend their events year after year! Jarvis is the most incredible wine tasting experience I have ever had! As a long time Napa wine lover, and having experienced countless different wineries/varieties of tours, I can honestly say Jarvis goes above and beyond the rest! The tour is informative, fun & beautiful. The staff is the BEST! Their knowledge, passion, joy, and humor all shine through on each tour. It doesn’t matter who you get, trust me, it will be good! Cora and Rob have always taken Great care of us…if you’re lucky enough to get a tour with them, you’re in for an amazing time. And finally-the wines! WOW! We are absolutely hooked on Jarvis wines. They are some of the most beautiful wines we’ve ever had the opportunity to taste. My personal favorites are the Merlot, Tempranillo, and the Lake William blend. The Chardonnay is also a heavenly treat. Do yourself a favor and book a tour at Jarvis! You won’t regret it.

Simply the best visitor experience in Napa Valley. When I have friends going out there, if they have time in their schedule for ONE winery to visit, I send them here. When you arrive, you enter a door leading into the side of hill. You are in for a spectacular tour and tasting. This cave looks like something a Bond Villian would have built. It’s unreal until you see it. And if they are really lucky, they will get Cora as their host. She’s one of, if not the best, doing it these days. And the wine? Come on. Lush Chardonnay, Exquisite Cabs and Merlot. Don’t sleep on the Tempranillo, it’s my favorite. And their Lake William will stand toe to toe with any Bordeaux you can bring. It’s that good. Come see for yourself. But be careful, you WILL want to join their club.

From the wine tasting to the waterfall to the tour, this winery does not miss. Special shoutout to David for the excellent tour!! 11/10 would recommend

I fell in love with Cabernet Franc bc of Jarvis ..it was my “AHA moment”. The harvest tasting and ball are truly exceptional experiences, with meticulous attention to detail and thoughtfulness. If you are lucky enough to attend one of these events you will be blown away !

We probably would have skipped this stop, but it was still interesting to see. The winery itself is very cool and has a unique vibe, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the price. At $150 per person, you’re given maybe 5 oz total of wine, and the tasting happens only at the end — after doing the entire tour without any wine in hand. The tasting portion lasted about 30 minutes. We came as a couple and were grouped with six others (eight total plus the guide), which kept it intimate but it’s still a group tour. It’s a bit out of the way, and there’s no cell service at the winery, so rideshare isn’t ideal (though technically possible). The wine was also some of the priciest — and honestly our least favorite — of our Napa trip. Total time was 80 minutes which was also the shortest visit out of all the wineries we went to, which is more ironic considering how long their tour portion is. Everyone we met there was very friendly and the setting was undeniably cool, but overall it’s not an experience I’d recommend to friends when there is so much to do in Napa.

A great place for hiking and mountain bike riding is just a few miles from our home and from many in the Bay Area. China Camp State Park has a number of trails that we enjoy. These are primarily single track trails that take you through the oak woodlands.

One of our favorites is the Shoreline Trail. It winds around the campground and then rides like a roller coaster as you follow the terrain of the hills beside the Bay. You’ll often see black tail deer, grey squirrel, and if you’re lucky - a flock of Turkey. If you’re adventurous and have the energy, pedal (or hike) up to the ridge of . You can travel up either Powerline Trail or Oak Ridge Trail and the views at top are beautiful. In 2012, the State of California suspended funding for 70 state parks including China Camp State Park. Locals founded a. Non-profit called Friends of China Camp who keep the park maintained and in good shape. Beautiful spot on the water. There are several places to pull off the road and hike. I like the first official one, where the historic housing was. The upper parking area has beautiful views. Such a beautiful, spacious place to camp. Clean restrooms and hot showers too! There was a noise issue that I hope is not typical so I won't take stars away for that. The park is also home to beautiful redwood groves. Visitors can enjoy exploring the park with the help of good maps and directions. It's an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts looking for challenging hikes or leisurely bike rides.
If you haven’t watched the sun set from Mount Tam, you’re seriously missing out. This place doesn’t just give you views—it gives you drama. I came up right before golden hour, and what I saw felt like something out of a dream. Rolling fog creeping over the hills like slow ocean waves, while the sky lit up in layers of orange, lavender, and deep blue. You get these surreal moments where it feels like the forest is floating in the clouds. The winding roads glowing in the dusk make the whole drive worth it. I’ve lived in the Bay Area for years and nothing really prepares you for how cinematic this place feels at sunset—especially when that fog layer hits just right. If you’re into photography, bring your gear. If you just want peace and perspective, bring a blanket and sit back. Either way, Mount Tam is magic. Total 10/10.

Went for a circular hike starting pantoll campground. Very nice area with a wide variety of scenery. Trails are well maintained, maybe a bit more littering than anticipated, but maybe unavoidable given the amount of traffic. Much busier than expected, recommend arriving early to ensure a parking spot.

It’s wonderful, I live in Castro Valley. it was a bit far but it’s worth it, is not that hard to get on the top of the hill. We went to see the sunset but you could also see the moon. 🌕

Mount Tamalpais is truly a dream backdrop for photos — golden light, sweeping mountain views, and that signature coastal haze that makes everything feel cinematic. Every direction looks like a painting, and it’s one of my favorite spots to capture couples who love adventure and breathtaking scenery.

Wow, it's like I walked into a rainforest in Vancouver. Awesome hike, another great example of the diversity around the area. Interesting features, rivers, large trees, ocean views, city views, so much to offer with only the 6km I hiked! And so many mushrooms.

Upon exploring where to do a family of 6 hike in the bay area, I stumbled on Mount Tamalpais on Google. I read the previous reviews and absolutely agreed with those that said the drive to the parking lot was an adventure. Long winding roads and views along the way. It was great! I'd like to add that if you have a family of 6 like mine with 4 kids in ages ranging from 3-11 yrs old it's very doable. It was a good challenging hike for our family and took us approximately 22 mins to reach the peak lookout spot from the parking lot. Apart from the great view it was also a good workout and a great way to exert kids energy so they can get a good nights rest afterwards. I highly recommend doing this hike with your family.

Great experience walking in this state park. Although no internet connection. Could be problematic if you didn’t bring the bar code for parking reservation loaded. There are four bridges for for short hikes in a loop. The bigger trails start after the fourth bridge.
Soumyaroop N — Google review
I would say the best hike spot in Bay Area area and east bay as well. Breathtaking views. Recommend the loop from Stinson beach. Start from Stinson beach in the early morning and having lunch at Stinson beach, relaxing.

Nature & Parks
Muir Woods National Monument is a picturesque park known for its towering redwood trees and extensive hiking trails. Located in the lush landscape of Mill Valley, it's a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts interested in activities like hiking, mountain biking, and golf. The area also boasts a vibrant downtown scene with charming cafes, trendy boutiques, and diverse dining options.
I and my wife decided each weekend to hike as many beautiful places as we can in California before the summer ends. We hiked Muir Woods National Monument in September. It's quite hard to book a parking inside the park, so we parked on the street a mile away. From Fremont, it took a little more than an hour to get here. The roads are quite nice. This is the national park and not state park so my yearly pass actually works, so we didn't have to pay anything to walk in. It's a beautiful place, so many nice trees, and the hike is not too long or hilly, less stress on our legs. The weather was hot, but it's quite comfortable in the park. There are creeks with water running quite relaxing, so many big tree with hollow bottoms which is amazing and beautiful. There are quite many trails but we only took the main one in and out for the day so we can visit Stinson Beach near by.

If there is a place, where you might want to renew, and feed your soul, this might be one of them. Muir Woods is breathtakingly beautiful, and tranquil. Well managed walking paths connect you under the canopy of nature, and some of the largest redwoods in the state. Even though there may be a few tourists on your walk, the "woods" seem to offer a quietness, and calm not to be found outside of a temple or place of worship. Nature welcomes you back to your original state, if perhaps for a moment you can quiet yourself to absorb it's magic. There are many trails to choose from depending on your fitness level. Even those in moderate physical condition can walk through the well maintained flat paths that wander throughout. For the more adventurous, there are elevated hikes of varying lengths, and climbs to enjoy this magnificence from various perspectives. Take as much time, or as little as you need. There is a well equipped visitors center for souvenirs and refreshment, should you require it. Rangers stationed at key spots, will offer in depth information regarding the park, its fauna, flora and history. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful park with majestic views. Nice easy walk on the boardwalk path. Nice gift shop. Very friendly atmosphere. Reservations required! ! ! Fun drive down to park is a windy adventure of its own. If you want to see Redwood trees with no issues this is a great spot.

Unbelievable trees truly a special place if you like trees. However the parking system is not ideal very over complicated they make drive all the way back out the valley to get signal to reserve parking to then drive all the way back down. Other than that it was a fantastic experience the red woods are amazing.

Had a great experience here at Muir Woods National Park! Such a sight to see with all the beautiful preserved trees and trails! It's a great place to go to get a breather away from the city and really inhale the air! Nature is amazing and being here made me really appreciate national parks and the services they provide to keep things alive and thriving! Definitely worth a visit if you want to see some nice redwoods and greenery and take a nice hike!
Matthew D — Google review
Muir Woods is truly a breathtaking experience! Walking among the towering redwoods feels like stepping into another world—peaceful, humbling, and inspiring. The trails are well-marked, offering something for everyone, from easy strolls to longer hikes with beautiful views. The air is crisp and fresh, filled with the scent of the forest, and the sheer size of the trees leaves you in awe. It’s a perfect spot to connect with nature, take photos, and enjoy some quiet reflection. Parking can be tight, so reserving ahead is highly recommended, but it’s absolutely worth the effort. This national treasure is a must-visit for anyone in the Bay Area or Northern California. A magical and unforgettable experience!

With 8 hours layover to spare within the vicinity of SFO, I was deciding between Muir and Sonoma for its Vineyard. Well, I am extremely glad that I picked this. Picture paints a thousand words, yet words cant describe one’s feeling when being surrounded by these ancient giants. It was truly humbling to learn that these Redwood trees has been here long before any present human today, and in its entirety, we are only at 2% of its entire lifespan to date.

Beautiful. Hiked a few trails. Was there for about 4.5 hours. Booked my reservation 11:30-12:00, no waiting. The Canopy View Trail had a warning that it was steep, long & difficult; 4.3 miles total for Canopy View/ Redwood / Sun & Dipsea. I didn’t feel as though it was that steep, decent incline and long but never felt that it was a difficult trail at all. Just buy the parking with your ticket, super simple and no waiting for the shuttle.

Larkspur Ferry Terminal is a bustling hub with a market offering a picturesque view of ferries waiting to transport passengers across the bay. The market is filled with the aroma of various foods and goods, accompanied by live music that adds to the lively atmosphere. Visitors praise the seamless ferry experience, noting the availability of ticket machines, cleanliness, on-time departures, amenities like charging outlets and restrooms, as well as ample parking.
We took this ferry daily as we were staying in Larkspur to visit San Francisco. This was great as it added a scenic trip to commute into town. Taking the boat was really nice as it allowed us to see Alcatraz, the golden Gate, the whole bay. The boat only take 30 minutes, so really fast and it is quite cheap too.

Nice little spot with great views! It's really rare that I've gotten to take the ferry, so it's always such a delight for me whenever I'm aboard! Way hey and up she rises! Need to run here more!

$7 for a trip to San Francisco is a great deal. Not that crowded, was good for bikes, had a bathroom. Great views. All around I would recommend, plus it’s 5-10 walk from the smart train :)
Microbe S — Google review
Larkspur Ferry Terminal is a few minutes walk from the Smart Train Station. The terminal will open 30 minutes before the boarding time. This is convenient as it enables us to use the restroom and buy snacks before boarding. The restroom is super clean. The berth gate opens 5 minutes before boarding time and the ferry departs right on time.

Always a good time! Get your tickets online in advance. Seating inside and out with a bar with drinks/snacks.

Apparently they are conserving like $20 in fuel for the AC. It is 80 plus in this boat and I can see the AC. they don’t turn it on. I will drive to the giants stadium next time. Giants ferry is 55 minutes both ways and it may as well be Haiti’s. My son is skin and bones and he was sweating. No good. Fix the AC. Doesn’t matter that it’s 69 degrees outside when it’s almost 90 inside.

10/10 recommend if you don’t want to drive in the city. Kid friendly way of traveling too. Price for a one way ticket was $14 for one adult and $7 for children, children under 4 are free. Parking was easy, plenty of spaces, at least on the weekends. Parking was free on the weekend and is free after 1pm on weekdays. A fun way to travel, will definitely be taking a trip across the bay again soon.
Ariana C — Google review
Terminal was great. Great staff and the best scenic route to SF. No traffic to boot. 4 stars cuz 50% of the bathrooms on the ferry weren’t working. SF terminal was a different story, need to allow more time as ticket is sold at only one gate-lots of passengers scrambling to different gates. Poor signage. Also, Clipper card should be replaced w credit card on public transit like Portland.

Water & Amusement Parks
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo is a massive amusement park offering high-speed roller coasters and thrilling rides, along with wildlife attractions. The park features adrenaline-pumping experiences like Batman the Ride, Boomerang Coast to Coaster, and Dare Devil Chaos Coaster. It caters to visitors of all ages with family-friendly rides and slower-paced options for kids. As part of the Six Flags chain, it combines exhilarating rides with animal attractions, making it a popular destination in Vallejo City.
I visited Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on July 1st and had an incredible experience that far exceeded my expectations. While the park was a bit crowded earlier in the day, the crowds thinned out significantly after 2 PM, making it easy to enjoy the rides with little to no wait. I started the day with The Joker, which is always a thrilling choice to kick things off. I followed it up with two back-to-back rides on Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth, which delivered the usual adrenaline rush. The highlight of the day, however, was my experience on Medusa. Not only was the ride nearly a walk-on in the afternoon, but the operator was also incredibly accommodating, allowing multiple re-rides. I ended up riding Medusa 17 times, most of them in the front row – an absolutely unforgettable experience. What made this visit stand out was the stark contrast to a previous weekday visit where I waited nearly three hours just to ride Medusa in row 8. This time, the weekday strategy truly paid off – the park was far more relaxed, and operations were smooth and efficient. I highly recommend visiting on a weekday if you're looking to get the most out of your time and enjoy your favorite attractions multiple times. All in all, it was an amazing day filled with thrills, minimal wait times, and outstanding ride operations. I left the park both exhausted and extremely satisfied. I’ll definitely be returning again soon!

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is, overall, a nicely designed park that offers an interesting mix of thrill rides, family attractions, and animal exhibits – somewhere between a zoo and a theme park. 🎢🦓 The park is clean, well laid out, and has something for everyone. Up until about 5 PM, I had a really good time – great atmosphere, nice weather, and a fun day overall. One big plus was the Oktoberfest event that happened during my visit. 🍺 Of course, it doesn’t quite reach the level of a real German Oktoberfest, but I have to give them credit – they put a lot of effort into making it feel authentic with themed decorations, music, and matching food and beer. It was a really fun and well-done touch that added to the experience. 🎶🥨 And I say that as a German. Unfortunately, things went downhill later in the evening. I went across the street to check in at my hotel and tried to re-enter the park at 6:10 PM for the Halloween event, but was denied re-entry because of a park policy stating that guests can only re-enter until 6:00 PM. The park wasn’t even close to being full, so the rule felt unnecessary and inflexible. Even after speaking with a supervisor, there was no exception, no understanding, no real effort to help. That’s sadly the kind of poor customer service Six Flags is known for – sticking rigidly to rules instead of showing flexibility or basic guest consideration. It’s especially disappointing because I would have gladly spent more time (and money) in the park that evening, especially with the Halloween and Oktoberfest activities going on. On top of that, the ride operations were, as usual for Six Flags, very slow and inefficient – dispatches often took five to seven minutes per train, which kills the pacing of the day and causes unnecessary waits. Bottom line: A nice park overall, with an interesting mix of rides and animals and a well-organized Oktoberfest that showed real effort and heart. But the lack of flexibility and poor customer service left a bad impression. With better operations and a more guest-friendly attitude, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom could easily be a top-tier park – unfortunately, this visit left me with mixed feelings and just two stars.

Fright Fest was fun and the Halloween decorations were really good! They turned on fog machines as soon as it got dark and had scary characters walking around. My son had soo much fun it was like being in a real haunted graveyard. It was a long walk from the parking lot to get to entrance I suggest dropping people off by the front. They have great roller coasters. We rented a locker for $22 which was soo helpful. The average wait for all rides was 45 min to 2 hours so that was tough for a group of boys under 12 yo. If the lines were quicker I would give it 5/5. It's a long walk back to the parking lot.
Samantha F — Google review
I had a great time at Six Flags even though a lot of the reviews I see are negative. Good: - We got the FLASH Premium pass and it was absolutely the right call - we barely waited in line, and when the Batman ride opened at night we got on after about 15 min in line instead of 90 minutes - We went for the Fright Fest as well, and the mazes were well done! I liked the haunted mansion the best, club fear wasn't that great since it was very empty and not as many actors inside. The spooky vibes were great and the actors seemed to have a good time - My favorite rides were the Joker, Batman, and the Wonder Woman Lasso ride, that's definitely the longest ride. Superman was also high thrill. - The park wasn't super busy on a Saturday, and parking was easy as well. Very walkable - Dolphin show had cool tricks, but the talk track is definitely for kids Bad: - Food is really expensive, $20 for basically a single slice of pizza and salad - Gets really hot during the day, but cool during the night so bring layers Overall this was a really great experience and would come again
Jenny X — Google review
What a mighty park for its size! Good variety of roller coasters and friendly park staff. Lines are long as usual but if you can afford a flash pass it makes the day that much more enjoyable. The cool thing is they have a mini zoo in the back of the park. The animals were so cool to look at and offered a nice change to the loud and hectic front of the park.
Christopher V — Google review
Great park! Grab a flash pass if you're visiting for the day, they have some fantastic coasters that you'll want to ride multiple times! Scare Feat was meh, I wouldn't pay for any of the mazes again, but it was great to ride their iconic coasters at night.
James S — Google review
It use.to be a great place for rides and animals, but it's depressing to see less animals and expensive to eat, perhaps they offer more over the summer. I went in late October, only offered the dolphin and walrus show, dolphin show was cute, the walrus show was boring. The aquarium is a joke, like 1 small shark, 1 or 2 nurse shark, a handful of big fish. The cheetahs were active though and plenty of them compared to other animals. A lunch of burger, fries and a drink for one person is 30! Funnel.fries were good but 17 bucks is crazy. They don't take cash
Ange — Google review
It's decent. Some rides gave me a headache and would not recommend. Food is decently price and around the same price you'd get at any other cedar fair parks. Their scare fest is really small and very wimpy than from what I've expected. But overall, their sea lion and dolphin shows were great!

Vallejo is a charming destination that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban convenience. The city serves as the starting point for an impressive 47-mile trail that takes you through the heart of Napa Valley, offering stunning views of lush vineyards and rolling hills as you make your way to Calistoga. Additionally, Vallejo provides excellent ferry services to San Francisco, with helpful staff and convenient amenities such as coffee shops, breweries, and restaurants at the Ferry Building.
Between driving, casual carpooling, driving+BART, drive+bus+BART, the ferry has everything beat for what you get for your money. As of today, it'll cost you $10.40 one-way with a Clipper Card. You may buy a ticket onboard with cash or credit. 5 morning departures during the weekdays will certainly accommodate everyone. On time, everytime departures. Rough weather may cause some slowdowns but those are days I-80 or BART suffer too. Remember it's first-come-first-served, plus regulations dictate everyone has to have a life saver. So everyone gets a seat... if you never travelled before show up 20 min. before departure until you get comfortable. When the boat is at max capacity (275-349 people depending on the vessel) doors close and you will be prohibited from boarding even if you are next in line. On the plus side, you'll never rub elbows with anybody. Once inside, you'll find seats with tray tables, solo seats, 2 and 3 row seats. Tables for 4, 6 and even 8 passengers. Power outlets throughout. A coffee/snack/alcohol bar (cash only), an outter deck with amazing views and more seats, 3 bathrooms or more, windows throughout. If the splashing and morning sun doesn't put you to sleep, feel free to catch up on work or update your status. No one takes your stuff (where can they run with it?), and everyone respects and gives ample space to everyone. In the afternoon gaze at I-80 all jammed up while you sip a beer in the outter viewing area with the warm summer air. Then return inside to follow on a group's poker game. You will arrive SF or Vallejo relaxed and rested. There is no competition to this mode of transportation. The chartered game vessels require a separate review as they are reserved, unique and no alcohol can be sold after the game. ;)

The Ferry Building has my favorite coffee shop in it as well as a top room, so it's a social hangout spot while you wait for the ferry to arrive. I've only used the ferry itself once, and it was an easy experience. It can get EXTREMELY busy, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time. My favorite thing about the ferry building? THE VIEWS. The whole area is beautiful. It's right across the water from Mare Island, which make for beautiful scenery. Make sure to stay and walk around and enjoy the waterfront.

Absolutely avoid parking in the assigned parking area! It’s not worth it. You might as well drive to San Francisco yourself. My family and I drove down 3 hours for a Giants game. We thought taking the fairy would be fun. Came back and our Cadillac converter was stolen from our car. This WAS DONE IN PURE DAYLIGHT. This place definitely lacks security. There is absolutely no security cameras. Sketchy people parked all around that will sit there for hours watching people as they leave. Homeless tents everywhere and doubled the 3 hours we were gone. Last time we choose to go. Environment is not safe.
Da C — Google review
The Ferry ride was fine. We parked in Vallejo and took the Ferry to SF , and stayed 3 nights. We came back and our car was broken into. Broke the small window in the back. Nothing was stolen but they went through my cargo bag.

This was lots of fun. I can see why people chose this method of transportation over BART! It was spacious, clean, there were bathrooms, had a great view, you can eat and drink on the ferry too! I don't know why it took me so long to try this. It was a little more expensive than other forms of commuting, but definitely worth it! On the return trip, there was a Ferry employee that told us stories and made everyone laugh. It was great weather and lots of fun to sit outside and watch the water! I don't ever want to take BART to get to San Francisco again! Once it got dark, it was such a treat to enjoy the lights from the deck. I would like to ride the ferry every day.

The Empress Theatre is a charming, vintage theater that offers live music from various genres, comedy acts, and other captivating performances. It features a fabulous bar and cocktail lounge for patrons to enjoy. The venue itself is magnificent, with a beautifully restored interior. The sound system is exceptional, providing fantastic acoustics for concerts. However, some guests have noted that the seats are small and the chair arms can be tight. Nevertheless, it remains an ideal place for sit-down events and movie screenings.
Saw a Film Noir here last Friday night. Film was excellent! The theater is old fashioned and quite lovely. The lounge is awesome with a well appointed bar where the barkeep knows how to make a solid martini. The lounge is decorated in black and white with photos of musicians. Classy.

What a nice surprise to find a weekly live music venue in Vallejo! I went to check it out Wednesday night. Having recently moved to Vallejo from San Francisco, I was hoping to find a halfway decent live music scene locally. I was very impressed with my experience that evening at the Empress. First, the blues act playing in their lounge was top notch. The room has a nice ambiance and the staff and fellow patrons were all very friendly. I was also impressed with the bar's specialty cocktail selection (which I thoroughly enjoyed). I highly recommend you check out this place next time you are in Vallejo.

I just love the Empress lounge Wednesday nights! Every time I go to the Wednesday night show I thoroughly enjoy it. Everyone I bring to the shows thinks they are great also. I like the lounge shows because I wear hearing aids and the music is easier to listen to because it’s not so loud. You can also get pretty great seating right up front if you like. One time they had a taco bar but another time when they didn’t they allowed us to bring our own food in and we went down to Gracie‘s to get some food to bring in. I’m sure I’ll keep going and bringing my friends. I hope the lineup quality continues.

This is a wonderful place to stay with great people who work at this location. They are very helpful and accommodating. There are only three spots for overnight camping and you can only stay one night. Then you can be gone for two nights and come back into our night. Also, when you pay the $12 for the overnight that you get the next day from 9:00 a.m. until sunset. This is something I did that though until they told us so I figured I would post it. Thank you again. Enjoy your stay if you'd end up at this beautiful waterfront park in Benicia

There is a $6 entry fee per car. I am attaching a current map for your convenience. Do try to go all the way to the lookout point and then hike down to the water and then continue by the water until you see the carquinez bridge to your right. It's beautiful! Though I would suggest the park management promptly start working on the dried grass to prevent wildfires and to please get the out-of-service bathrooms running. But overall, it's a good place for a family picnic, a jog, or a hike!

Nice park with trails and plenty of picnic tables to stop and enjoy the beautiful views. Plenty of friendly wildlife, including squirrels that come up to you possibly to get some food. Porta-potty’s available throughout the park. Nice park to get away for a day, cast a line or two, have a picnic, and just enjoy nature.

This is a gem for people who need a good night's sleep. Even though there are only 3 RV camp sites, it's a beautiful place with lots of lavender bushes. Smells pretty. The park is huge and closes at dusk. I think across from the 3 spots you could probably park an rv if not too big and leave by 9am. Lots of health addicts doing runs, jogs, walks and some on skateboards. We drove all the way to the end and saw day use fishing and picnic tables. Use a national parks pass for free. Otherwise it's 12 bucks.

Met up with some friends here with our 7 year old boys to get some outdoor time and picnic. Parking is cash only. Can get windy and we were warned to be aware of the tide when walking along the shoreline. Easy trail hiking and rocky beach play for kids - glad we came here!

This little park is a hidden gem. The shoreline trail has a lot of driftwood and sandstone. People have built many driftwood teepees. You can see the Carquinez bridges and Mt. Diablo. Salmon are caught here. Boulders fall down which make natural sculptures some families were grilling meat and having a great picnic. The park is close to 780 but is also quiet. Thumbs up to the Benicia residents for its cleanliness.
