Love this store🌞 Best Friday deals, amazing jerky. We have used the hardware store and purchased our fishing licenses🙂 It’s a real gift to The Community and worth the drive.

Amazing store. So many different varieties of Jerky, it took us a little while to decide what we wanted. We ended up with 4 different types of delicious jerky. It is also an excellent grocery store. The store inside and out is attractive and very clean.

This is a fantastic store. I'm so glad that after the fire, they rebuilt and expanded. The jerky is amazing. We also love the cheese bread and garlic loaf they make.

I miss the small old-time feel of the old store but this new Dublin Store is impressive. It's huge, and they have it all! Their jerky is delicious, and you can try everything from elk to kangaroo, normal old beef to Cajun seasoned alligator. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

I stop in anytime I am in the area (about once a month). I mostly shop the meat section for the nice variety. In addition to the typical pork, beef, and chicken Dublin has venison, elk(one of my personal favorites), lobster, shrimp, a variety of fish, hotdogs, sausages, brats, and LOTS of jerky. I highly recommend this store!

It was a cool experience shopping there as a first timer but the jerky prices are ridiculously high, beware. I understand the process fees and all that but do better. The america isn't booming anymore 😕

Great selection of jerky, meat, and general grocery needs. Large selection of alcohol. Prices are generally good, probably a bit lower than what you would expect from a rural store. Large hardware section that I didn't take a very close look at.

A smaller family friendly theme park with a nice water park inside. If you're looking for dozens of crazy coasters this isn't the place, but if you can get by with a couple, want a water park, or have younger children this is a great spot. We went in a nice day in the middle of the week shortly after opening. The line to get in took less than five minutes and we walked right on to the first few rides. By mid day it was a little busier, but certainly not crowded. Only waited in one line over fifteen minutes including water slides.

My kids had a blast here, the ticket prices are fair and there is tons to do here. They have a large variety of rides for all ages. They are even chubby-friendly as my hubby was able to ride everything with ease! The park is clean and well-maintained, and the staff was mostly friendly. Some staff had attitudes, but most were nice. The food prices are OUTRAGEOUS! The burger and fries were 16 bucks and it was a frozen over-salted patty. Was gross. That was the only downside. The drink cups are so worth it! Pays for itself. I will be back a million more times its well worth the money. Just pack a lunch!

Feelings of nostalgia as you see some classic rides mixed in with the new. We had a great time at both the water and amusement park. Affordable and perfectly sized for a day full of fun all ages can appreciate. Over 8 water slides to match all thrill levels! I would not purchase the food plan, it was a waste and did not include beverages. Honestly, if you eat breakfast before hand, you will only eat once around mid-day because you are captivated and having such a wonderful time. You truly only want a cold beverage or ice cream.

Had a lot of fun at the park! Shivering Timbers is such a fun ride! We spent two days at the park and overall had a great time! The good: -Park is clean, does need a little maintenance such as fence painting. -Shivering Timbers, Wolverine Wildcat, Sea Dragon, Logrun were all very fun! -Beer Garden was a nice spot to relax at both the water park and amusement park! -Lines are not super long! Except for Wild Mouse. (That one they need to figure out) -The train that takes you from one side of the park to the other! Super fun! -Season passes work here! Along with season drink pass! Huge win! The bad: -The water park smelled like poop. Legitimately spent most the day gagging because I kept getting smells of it. This was my biggest complaint of the entire park. -Could use a few new coasters. I know a lot of funding gets allocated toward Cedar Point, but this park is in desperate need of a few smoother coasters. -Food options! Not many great food options. We ended up spending $60 on a pizza there for all of us! Insane! Overall, I would rate the park 4/5! It's a great family park and love not having to wait 3 hours to go on a ride. Super fun two days were spent there!

We had a great day at the park! The mobile app for the park was a life saver! It told you how to get to the rides you wanted to ride. If you were looking for food, it guided to there. It was very convenient and great to use. Having upgraded to the drink plan was handy! Anytime you were thirsty, just stopped at any one or the drink stations and get your beverage of choice! Looking forward to going back real soon!

Went last week for the first time since I was a teen. The park was much bigger than I remembered, and the water park was AMAZING! My daughter absolutely loved it. Also, everything was super clean, and when my daughter and I got separated at one point, staff were quick to help out and had already located her. The only thing I HATED was having the tote my own raft up the stairs. The rafts were REALLY heavy and I didn't have any help. After the first time, I told my daughter we couldn't do any more rides that required lifting. Also, more shade while waiting in lines would be nice. Just the same, 5 stars. We had a blast!

it's a fun and great place for family fun!! be prepared, no cash. i found this out the hard way. and holy cow, i remember when tickets used to be $25 to get in, for both parks. now, it's $25 for parking, $60 entry fee (just to get in, riding rides or not) and an extra $69 for the Fast Lane passes. just giving people a heads up on things that i didn't know. ♡ also a recommendation: ADD "fast pass" rides to the water park too! side note: Thunderhawk was down, super disappointing!

We loved it! Museum is full of WWII info and related stuff from the Silverside. The sub is still amazing after all these years. Everyone was friendly. Attractions inside are interesting with lots of real objects to see and explore.

For those into history, this is a must see. I toured the submarine , and it was amazing that we had that kind of technology back then in those tight cramped spaces. It's nothing like what you see in the movies. Nothing. If I lived in the area I would go back a few more times by myself.So I could read every little detail and tour the sub again.

We visited the Submarine Museum and ship in October 2025 for a Scouting America campout—and YES, we actually spent the night on the sub! Total bucket list experience. The Museum The museum is really well done and gives a great history of submarine warfare and this specific boat. There’s a short film in a small theater, several walk-through exhibits with artifacts, and a nice gift shop. It’s the perfect warm-up before going on the ship. The Submarine Most of the sub is still intact and you can explore the main areas. Just remember—it’s a real submarine, so the spaces are TIGHT. Very cool to picture 72 sailors living and working in those close quarters. Overnight Experience This was the highlight! We had pizza on the 2nd floor of the museum, then got a few hours to explore before loading onto the sub for the night. Scouts slept in the torpedo room and leaders stayed in the crew quarters. It felt surreal to sleep where the actual sailors once did. If you’re anywhere nearby, take the time to visit—and if you ever get the chance to do the overnight program, DO IT. It was an amazing experience and I’d go back in a heartbeat!

The museum has both indoor and outdoor sections. The outdoor part features a submarine that you can board and tour. The indoor museum displays exhibits on World War II history and the USS Silversides submarine. It has two floors, with most of the exhibits located on the first floor. There is also a theater. While the video may not be professionally made, it is helpful to see a recording of a typical tour guide inside the submarine. Both sections require paid admission. Overall, it is an informative museum and worth a visit.

An impressive museum! It’s self guided and fairly priced. There are a lot of things to read, some interactive exhibits including a periscope to look through and the submarine to tour, a well-stocked gift shop, and theater to watch a short film. They include world history spanning hundreds of years and Michigan and the Great Lakes ship building during wars. I would visit again.

Who can be the first to get this right: how many gauges are on the USS Silversides? Clocks count (a gauge of time); indicator lights do not. Just ballparking, maybe 300? Subs are highly complex - no wonder they required a large crew. I've toured many historic warships; I don't recall seeing one in better condition inside. Kudos to the preservers of this historic sub! There are a lot of interesting things to notice, like diesel engines that compress the fuel & air mixture from both sides! We enjoyed the museum too; it was like a WWII refresher course.

Excellent museum. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The museum is very well put together and organized to hold your attention. You can even explore the sub too!

This was my first time at Pere Marquette beach. It was absolutely lovely. I enjoyed the walks along the pier. The scenery was just beautiful! I came at a good time, as there was no paid parking after September 15th. The beach was clean the water was clear. I've been passed here on busy days and I don't think I would want to be here when it's busy but today there was very few people

I love this park. I drove all the way from Ohio just to see this beautiful beach and to see lake michigan. Such a beautiful site to see that words just can't be put into. I visited it most recently and it was really crowded but that's to be expected in summer. My last visit before this summer was when I lived in muskegon and I visited in late fall/winter and that was also wonderful. But just very cold. 🤣

Great beach. The water and sand was clean. They have bathrooms and changing areas. A small café with a small menu and ice cream. Outdoor shower to rinse the sand off. A large playground. A walking mat for easier walking to the beach, this is great if you have a wagon or in a wheelchair. At the end of the walking mat they have tables for family's that have someone in a wheelchair in their group. They even have an area with tools for bike repairs. The restaurant The Deck is also located on the beach. The Deck has great food, drinks and entertainment on certain nights. The only con is that they raised the parking fee to 10.00.

The beach was great beautiful. Parking enforcement is terrible. You can see by the pictures I posted that there was one meter out (there was also a second one out, not pictured) that had two parking enforcement patrols park adjacent to the meter that was out of order, both actively writing tickets for cars parked near the meters that were not working. What a terrible way to represent the city.

Nice place, you can go up into the light house for $5. When its open for tours. All volunteers and the money goes to restoration of the 2 harbor lights. Very knowledgeable guides on site

Beautiful clean beach with a playground. Bathrooms were clean and the sunset was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend the lighthouse tour and a walk out to the brake light. Parking is $10 for the day, you can come and go.

I've had better. This was my first time at the Blind Squirrel. It seems like a fun place to go and watch sports or hang out with friends. There is little to no privacy when it comes to seating, so if there are a lot of people in there, it's very loud. The service left something to be desired. I ordered the Jalapeño Burger well done. It was far from well done, but by the time we got our food, I decided to bite the bullet. The Cajun fries are delicious, but for the price, you don't get a lot of bang for your buck. They have a large menu, and it may be worth exploring. Just be prepared to spend $20 per person.

The food (steak) was quite good. The service was good. The atmosphere was a bit loud, but that may be because there was a competitive slapping celebration going on. The "special" as listed online was not honored and there was a 3% admin fee on the bill. The 3% fee is what gets me. If you need to change your prices, go for it. If you just want to sneak some extra money out of your customers, that's not cool. Won't go back and won't recommend the place as long as this policy is in place.

The food here is great, just be careful when ordering their mushroom burger, it is in fact not a burger but just a mushroom. Other than that this place is great, I would recommend out door seating, it gets crowded inside.

Very good for a bar food. Nice atmosphere. I was surprised there was a mini arcade. A lot bigger than it looked from when we 1st walked in. Server was fast and friendly

We have been to this place a number of times for just bar food. Tonite we ordered a pretty disappointing dinner. My Asian salmon was good but the vegetables and mashed potatoes …bleh. No seasonings no sour cream no pizazz no jazz nothing but bleh…salmon itself was good because of the Asian sauce.. Hubs ordered the Cuban…bleh…no sauce, no sparkle no seasonings just plain … bleh… used my Asian sauce to dip it in just butter on a Cuban that wasn’t even dressed like a Cuban…plain pork buttered bread and a dill pickle slice…we will stick to the wings. Atmosphere, bartender, drinks? On par. Dinner we should have got wings, fries and called it good. Live and learn hopefully just a one off night.

Went to The Blind Squirrel and honestly left disappointed. The food itself was fine, but I felt nickel and dimed for every little thing. Want sauce with your meal? That’s an extra charge. It’s frustrating when what should be standard is treated like a luxury. It made the whole experience feel more about squeezing dollars than providing value. On the plus side, our server was attentive and did a good job. Unfortunately, great service couldn’t make up for the pricing model and the overall feeling of being upcharged at every turn. Not sure I’ll be back

Took almost 2 hours to get our food. Well done burger was still mooing. Send it back, it came back microwaved with a soggy bun and hard as a rock fries. Ended up leaving and ordering a pizza. Thought maybe it was a bad night and we did end up trying it again and it was just as bad.

It's a beautiful place, one of my favorites on the East shore of Lake Michigan. It's highly recommended in the summertime when the weather is nice and you can enjoy the beaches and parks in the area.

Google 'West Michigan' and it wouldn't surprise me if this appeared. Very busy in the summer and very cold in the winter. An iconic place to visit and a beautiful beach.

Long concrete pier (probably almost 1/4 mile) on Grand Haven Beach with a lighthouse and another building structure at the end. Day I was there it was super windy and had large waves that made the Pier slick. Beautiful and popular at sunset ! Day I was there it was free to enter. A must-see in Grand Haven !

A great spot to catch a sunset or even a sunrise, its free too. Take it all in

Such a cool place to visit, definitely enjoyed our little stroll here. The views are super awesome too. It can get windy at times, so plan accordingly. Beware that it does require additional caution to walk here, especially because there are no barriers or fences between the walking area and the water (couldn't emphasize that enough). Other than that, absolutely recommend! Definitely hope to visit again in the future.

If you park at the state park you'll have to walk across campground and beach to access. Super busy beach very clean and safe, beautiful area.

The sites were spectacular and their accommodations were great. Lake Michigan was wonderful and the lighthouse was so special. The paths that they laid down on the sand made it easy to get near the water without sinking in the sand. I have never seen the material that was used, but even more "mature" people could walk easily on the paths.

Love this state park, so cool being able to camp right on the beach and the water! The spots are very tight though so keep that in mind, it took me a couple tries to get in the spot and I usually never have a problem with backing up my camper. I could barely fit my camper and truck in my spot, but once you get over how tight it is, it is a beautiful place. I will say be careful getting a site next to the bathrooms by the river, they do not turn off the outside lights and they are super bright at night, no problem for us in a camper we could just close the blinds but a tent would be rough.

Our first RV night experience in Michigan was amazing at this park right on the beach and a canal. We loved the biking and the walks along the canal, as well as the experiences in town, including the nightly water feature with great music and ice cream!😍

Thanks to the state for providing such a nice public beach with easy access for everyone. The beach is spacious with fine sand, and the restrooms and shelters are well maintained. Lots of parking spots, grills and picnic tables for BBQ, and volleyball nets.

We stayed directly across from the entrance to the park so we had easy access. It's beautiful, well -maintained and supervised. Promptly at 10 the parking lot was cleared of revving motors and people. There is a well-stocked gift shop with fun stuff and things you may have forgotten.

I made a 3 hour drive to this park simply to take pictures of the lighthouse at sunset. The park closes promptly at 10, they used a bullhorn to announce the park closing and cars need to be out by 10. Well, the lights on the pier didnt turn on until 9:30 and its a 10 minute walk to the parking lot. If you're there to take pictures, either enjoy the 20 minute window or park outside of the state park parking lot literally anywhere else so you have more time to stay. Besides the narrow photo window, the lighthouse was gorgeous and offered a very nice walk up and down the pier. There are SOO many people there during the day, and even into sunset its very crowded. The window of very little people happens at 9:55 right before having to run back to the parking lot lol

Needed a roadtrip and some time to decompress from the evils of the world. Decided to head up to Grand Haven and take a nice long walk at their State Park. Ended up witnessing amazing views, friendly people and an amazing new to me tan. “I’ll be back” 😎

The kids never tire of the fountain light show, with fresh music and a crowd full of pure joy to enjoy it with, this a must see if you're in the area in the summer. It's a wonderful time, no matter your age.

The fountain and audio in on a big hill on the other side of the river. I saw it years ago, it was street level in a park like setting with people watching from all sides. I wasn't a fan of the Christmas Music in July on the eve of the Coastguard Festival. Sorry, maybe just disappointed because it wasn't like my childhood memory. Still it was nice, especially for a free event.

My kids love the Musical Fountain! It’s like a quaint small town version of a Las Vegas fountain show. I believe it is programmed by local volunteers. We loved the Taylor Swift show, among others.

My mom said we were going to see the ‘singing fountain.’ I imagined beauty. Elegance. Maybe even magic. Instead, I got hit by more water than Niagara Falls. The wind changed direction mid‑song and suddenly I was drenched head to toe like I’d been baptized against my will. My shoes squished for hours. My phone almost drowned. The fountain doesn’t sing; it screams as it soaks innocent bystanders. Meanwhile, my mom is clapping like it’s Broadway while I’m just praying for towels. Three star — unless you’re into accidental waterboarding disguised as family entertainment

It's a park across from dancing fountains. They have cement seating or you can bring camping chairs.

Holland State Park is a decent spot if you’re looking for a quick beach outing. The view of the iconic Big Red lighthouse and the sunset over Lake Michigan are definitely worth seeing. However, the park gets very crowded, especially on weekends, making parking and finding a quiet spot on the beach difficult. Facilities like restrooms and concessions could be maintained better, and sometimes the cleanliness of the beach is hit-or-miss. Overall, it’s nice for a visit, but not the most relaxing experience if you’re hoping for peace and space.

The bathrooms and showers were filthy. The bathrooms stunk and they were not kept up. We were here in 2024 and thought they were great, but no longer. The plastic shower benches that were gray in color were almost black as they weren’t washed all season. I don’t know what was smeared on wall. Green mold, lots of spiders and webs. They were really gross. Come on folks, you can do better.

Website is deceptive. On the official website it says that it has a dog beach, and that it is pet friendly. When I arrived, however I found out that their signs all the way across the beach saying no animals and their so-called “dog beach.” is nothing more than a spot with sand with no apparent water involved. They do have a bathroom with flushing toilets that is right by the beach, which is nice however, it has these stalls that have benches that would seem to be a changing type area only there’s no curtains or doors or anything on them for any sort of privacy. In the same building as the bathrooms they do have a little gift shop place that offers some limited food and drink options. I got the soft serve chocolate ice cream, single scoop and let me tell you they don’t give you very much for what they charge for it. One thing that was nice though is that they do have I think there was two spots with those beach sand walk runners that make it much easier to get further down on the beach. I used Google maps to direct me to the beach and instead it directed me to the campground parking. I found that if I didn’t turn into the campground parking, I just kept driving eventually I did get to the beach.

This was our first visit to Holland State Park, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. We stayed at the beach campground, where the campsites were generously sized and the utility hookups were well-maintained and easy to access. The bathhouse was impressively clean, well-lit, and conveniently located. One of the highlights was the stunning night sky — with the campground set away from the city lights of Holland, the darkness allows for incredible stargazing. We enjoyed breathtaking views of stars and planets that made the evenings truly memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay.

We booked a cabin for 2 nights at Holland state park. It was clean and quiet. The cabin was heated and had a nice view of the lake. The camp grounds were beautiful, altho the water was winterized since we got there in late fall we had a great time hiking the sand dunes and hills. We enjoyed our quiet nights swapping stories and cooking meals over our fire. This definitely is a great spot.

Why google has this as a hotel, First off this is a campground! Nice campground, very clean well maintained. We came up for wedding only got to stay a couple nights. We got sites next to friends had a great time. Only issue i had was tight in some areas for large fifth wheel good thing it wasn't full..lol we'd stay here again you're in walking distance from lake michigan.

Since it was Labor Day, the park was very crowded to say thw least. But the beach is great overlooking the Lake Michigan. Crystal clear water is enchanting to just sit and watch. One can take nice walk on the pier that extends well into the water. Lots of boat activities were taking place. Excellent location to spend the day!

The trip is definitely geared towards kids, we were mostly ignored by the staff. We sat in a booth that is supposed to fit four, there is NO WAY four adults could fit. Fortunately, the other two seats weren't sold. The staff were energetic and into the play, focusing on the kids. All in all it was okay, just not something we would do again. However, for kids it is amazing!

Where do I start. We bought tickets for our grandkids and family to ride the Pumpkin Train. Many kiddos and a few parents showed up in their Halloween costumes. The kids were so excited about the trip! Even though the lines were long to board the train, we did not have to wait long. We boarded quickly. Every person who worked on the train were so very nice! They are all volunteers, including the train engineers. Their passion for the work they do is very obvious. All of the kids in our car were treated to songs and funny skits by The Pumpkin, Boxcar Betsy and very talented Scarecrow!! These young ladies, who had great costumes, had everyone clapping along to their music and laughing at their shenanigans! All the kids in our car were highly entertained. We even enjoyed it too! It felt great to laugh like kids again! I highly recommend this train adventure. Heads up: There is a Santa train ride that starts in November and runs in December as well and yes, Santa is on this train! I've been told kids show up in their pj's just like the magical story we all love.

If you love a fun western themed adventure in a train, you will love it! The actors and hosts were all very nice and interacted with us regularly. The conductor answered our questions about the train and tracks. The bandits stole our goods. It was a rootin' tootin' fun time!

Coopersville and Marne Railway provides enjoyable rides for the family using vintage rail equipment. The rides are about an hour and a half and include on board live entertainment with singing and story telling. The bunny ride is geared towards children and the Wild West train robbery we were told would be ok to bring kids. Pumpkin train offers choice of pumpkins in the field and Christmas train probably the most popular. Opportunity for photos with the cast after the ride. Some wheelchair accessible options. They ask you to arrive 30 minutes before departure and boarding started about 15 minutes before departure. Very well done family adventure.

I am giving 5 stars because this is all volunteer. It’s great we did the wine and ale train. It was very nice atmosphere. It could be better if they had a cash bar. They provide 2 drinks each person - you get one drink each way. They are small bottles of individual wine. You could see that the general feeling was can we get a drink. Even if you could buy water during the trip. But over all a nice vintage train that has been restored very nice.

We had the BEST time on the pumpkin train today! Took my 4 year old for his birthday and his 5 year old brother. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive from home. The amount of time spent on the train was perfect for two little kids. The show they put on was funny and entertaining. All of the volunteers running the train were delightful to talk to. I think this is a new family tradition for us!

The trains were well maintained by the crew of volunteers and train enthusiasts that dedicate hundreds of hours to make this ride possible. The Christmas ride was geared towards children but the Santa was able to pull a smile from an introvert when he put me on the naughty list! The treats and beverages were delicious. Thank you again to the crew of volunteers that make this unique experience possible for us all to enjoy right here in West Michigan.

We recently visited Veldheer Tulip Gardens in Holland, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for me and my family. The moment we stepped onto the farm, we were surrounded by a sea of vibrant colors—endless rows of tulips in every shade you could imagine. It felt like walking through a postcard! The gardens were beautifully maintained, and it was clear how much care and effort goes into creating such a magical space. My kids were amazed by the variety of tulips, and we all enjoyed strolling through the fields, taking in the fresh air and scenic views. What made the visit even more special was how peaceful and welcoming everything felt. Despite the crowds, it never felt overwhelming. There were plenty of photo spots, and we captured so many beautiful family moments. If you’re looking for a perfect spring getaway or just a peaceful place to enjoy nature’s beauty, Veldheer Tulip Gardens is the place to go. It was a joyful, colorful, and truly memorable outing. We absolutely loved the experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Holland during tulip season!

These tulip gardens are absolutely beautiful! I am so glad we visited here this past May. It was the perfect way to get the tulip festival experience without having the deal with the crowds of locations directly in downtown Holland. There was barely any wait at 10:30 am on a Saturday. The gardens feature some beautiful photo opportunities and very nice gift shops with beautiful work of some local artists. The gardens also provide a pamphlet that tells the tulip type of EVERY chunk of tulips in the entire garden - I thought this was so impressive! Definitely worth the visit.

We were visiting Holland during Tulip Time and found this place. Although a bit pricey, I do feel like you get to see a lot of unique varieties. Tons of opportunities for great photos. There are a few chairs throughout if you need to take a break or just to sit and enjoy the flowers. Went with a 3.5yo and 1yo, and lots of areas to run up and down the rows. The workers were kind and helpful. We ordered some bulbs for this fall. Excited to get some of these beauties at home too!

Veldheer Tulip Gardens is more than just a garden; it's a vibrant, living testament to Holland's heritage and a truly joyful place to spend an afternoon. If you're anywhere near West Michigan, make sure this is on your must-do list. It's a truly unforgettable five-star experience!

The tulips are gorgeous with many varieties I haven’t seen. There’s also a great generational family-owned business charm to this farm. They’re set up in a way to educate on tulip varieties by providing a “guidebook” that outlines different varieties along with markers in the field so you can identify any you’d like to purchase. I loved visiting and I’m excited for my bulbs to come this Fall. The only thing I felt could be expanded on is showcasing and selling more bulb mixes. They had a few multi-color/variety patches but I’d love to see more!

Such a lovely place to visit with your family! Tulips were beautiful, they didn't try to charge me more just because I have lots of kids, and the pottery/shoe museum was interesting. With elementary aged children, we spent close to three hours here total.

$17 to walk around to see tulips is too much. Charging $10 is plenty. They are pretty. And there are non working wood windmills to take pics of. But if you just want to see flowers just walk around downtown - you will see the same colors for free

The beach is picturesque, with a very long and wide view. Be careful about swimming as there are few warnings about cross currents. Very few facilities compared to the $15 entry fee. No lifeguard, no live saving equipment. Only 1 restroom facility in the middle, so you have to walk a long way to get there. Restrooms are not clean either. You need to take your own sitting arrangements to stay near the beach.

Plenty of parking at 1030am on a Tuesday in June and not crowded at all. Definitely got busier as the day went on but plenty of beach space. Gorgeous views, perfect sand and easy shallow entry and never got deep all the way to the bouys. The $15 entry allows you to come and go so we came back for sunset in the evening as well. Only thing that needs to happen is a bathroom upgrade/update which is hopefully planned in the near future.

Coming from the rocky (but also beautiful) beaches of the Great Lake Erie, the soft sands of Oval Beach on Lake Michigan were amazing. Listening to the sand "sing" underfoot was fascinating. Water was clear,warm, and refreshing, but beware- no lifeguards. Views atop the dunes were well worth the effort of climbing the paths. Also know there is a day fee for entry- not a free park.

Loved this beach! It was my first time at Lake Michigan and I was blown away by how clear the water was. The waves were calm, the sand was soft though a bit deep, and the water access was amazing. When we went the first day it was not crowded at all, probably because it was right on the edge of off season. It was the middle of the day, hot and refreshing, and the swim section was large. I wished it was a little deeper. The second day was a completely different story. The biting flies were unbearable and there were hundreds of them swarming us. We ran into the water but they clung to our backs, and when we got out they had camped out in our bags. It turned into a full run back to the car. I have never experienced anything like it and it really feels like this is a beach you have to time just right to enjoy.

Oval Beach is gorgeous! We went on a Tuesday in June. We got a later start than I had hoped, so I was worried about parking and crowds. We arrived at the park between 9:45 and 10 am. Much to my delight, the parking was PLENTIFUL and the beach was not crowded. It did get more crowded as the day went on, but it was totally manageable. The sand was soft and beautiful and not hot in most places. Our main experiences with beaches have been along the Gulf Coast, and this beach was very different in a good way. We did not have to dodge jellyfish or seaweed. The sand was clean and not littered with trash and cigarette butts. It wasn't surrounded by high-rise condos and beach umbrellas. It was beautiful! The water, even in June, was very cold, so not getting to swim was a bummer for my teenagers, but we enjoyed playing in the sand, sitting and watching the waves, and going for a walk over the sand dunes and down the beach. We also watched people flying kites, people in sailboats, and a couple of sailboarders. So much fun to watch! There was a nice playground and concession stand as well as bathrooms with places to change and showers to wash off the sand. We did have to pay for a day pass, but it was well worth the money, even though we only stayed for about 4 hours!

Beautiful beach ran by the city. It was fun to walk along and enjoy. Since this is run by the city, they charge you $15 to get into it. Luckily since we went during the week it was not crowded at all. The facilities at the beach were fairly clean.

Nice place, love all the little buildings. The demonstration. The staff are all super friendly and very nice. Lots of stuff to buy in the gift shop. There are plenty of ducks in the river. A petting zoo, and you can even purchase a bunny or two. They have amusement park rides for the kids. It is a nice place to check out and get a glimpse of how a Dutch village looks.

A fun & educational place to visit with family. They have great demonstrations of how cheese was made in the Netherlands, how wooden shoes were made. There were Dutch dances with the organ playing. The vintage ride were fun for kids of all ages. The overall atmosphere felt very calm, yet fun & different, like visiting a tiny town in Europe. Overall recommend for everyone to visit.

Very cool, odd, fun and enjoyable couple of hours. I was nervous about taking two young teens due to reviews but they had a blast. Many things for them to enjoy as older children. Being dog friendly was a nice bonus. We only waited for one ride.

Fun place for kids + parents. I felt that the price was good for everything we did. Admission covers all of the rides/activities. Ideal for ages 3-8, I would say. Staff are very friendly and wear cultural clothing (even clogs). Recommend if you are in the area !

Such a fun place for the kids! The petting farm was a favorite, and the rides kept them smiling all day. Definitely worth it—especially if you grab tickets ahead of time!

20250708 A very dogfriendly small property jam-packed with so much to do for all ages. This theme park is great for small children with playground, petting zoo, and rides as well as ice cream. Things to do for teenagers and adults such as rides, entertainment and shopping. I did everything except for games, rides and food related because it's not dogfriendly. The gift shop is very large will so many things to buy. It's shopping in Holland without flying to Holland. 🛩😁 I got a little red wooden tulip on a stand for my coworker who covers for me when I'm on vacation, which is quite often. I didn't buy anything else because I didn't really fly to Holland, missing the real meaning and experience of being in Holland.

From the road, this little village didn't look like much, but it was such a fun family experience. One admission price per person covers all of the activities. The village is set up like a tiny Dutch town and has educational demonstrations like dancing, a Dutch organ, pottery, shoe carving, and a cheese shop. There are also several activities to keep kids engaged and busy. There is a ferris wheel, petting zoo, tractors, playgrounds, petal cars, and interactive activities. It's easy to spend a few hours hours here and definitely worth the admission price. Be sure to stop by the shops for souvenirs from Holland, including the popular wooden shoe!

This place is so cool, so well maintained! $16 per adult. The windmill is very neat to explore. Each staff member was very kind and welcoming. The lawn care is spectacular and the flowers are stunning. We came mid July, and no tulips were still in bloom, which is a bummer but I would highly recommend the visit!

This is a great garden park downtown. I can only imagine the chaos when tulips are in bloom. You can walk up inside the windmill and explore, they have a couple history buffs inside. Apparently it even runs from time to time. There is a small village and gifts shop on the grounds. Its worth the stop. 13bucks a head. Pets allowed.

I had a really great time here and lots of walking, so wear good gym shoes. The windmill is really beautiful and I walked all the way to the top. Beautiful flowers and trees and a small bridge over water to walk over. Pleasant and really peaceful looking at the artwork. No wait to get in because it's September and the tulips are done blooming. Cute gift shop with free cheese samples. Apparently people also get married here which would be a beautiful wedding. This is a kid friendly place and they have a carousel and small park area. Very clean. I would like to visit again when the tulips are blooming.

Enjoyable experience, I wouldn’t rave about it but to be fair we visited towards the end of September so not the best time of year to see flowers in bloom. Highlight for our visit would be the windmill and climbing to the top. There is a good shop selling lots of nice souvenirs at fair prices. There is a mechanical organ that plays at a quarter past and quarter to the hour. And there is a carousel and little play park to keep kids entertained although the former didn’t appear to be open when we visited as the gardens were very quiet and there were no children there. Also check out the flower beds to see the Monarch butterflies.

It was a nice place to visit. Lots of walking, it was neat to be able to climb up to the top of the windmill, sit in the large wooden shoe, the gift shop was awesome, and loved the buildings. It's definitely worth a visit. It was fascinating to see the staff going up and down the stairs wearing their woodenshoes. And a demo of the organ playing.

Beautiful and peaceful spot in Holland, MI! Entry is only $5 with free parking. There’s a large Dutch-style windmill, open green fields to relax on, and small shops with Dutch snacks and souvenirs. Great for a short stroll or quiet afternoon — free admission if you have an AHS Garden Network membership.

Beautiful location that houses an authentic old dutch windmill from the 1800s amidst a beautiful and well kept garden. We learned a lot about the rich dutch history and heritage of Holland as well as the inner workings of a windmill. Ticket was $13 per person. There is ample parking on site. Prepare to walk if you are here. We actually walked from downtown to the windmill and it was very doable.

We were incredibly lucky to have Frosty as our guide our kids kept yelling "THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER & THIS IS SO MUCH FUN" our toddler kept crying any time he stopped that's how fun it was. It was great and so nice to hear about the dunes. Recommend to anyone and everyone! They were also very understanding and accommodating when we got the time zone mixed up since we were staying in IN. They were great.

What an absolute blast! Staff is extremely friendly and fun! I had no idea what to expect and they made this adventure so fun and thrilling. I am a local and I highly recommend this excursion to both other locals and vacations. You definitely would be missing out on your west Michigan experience if you didn’t participate. Frosty is the best!!!! Myself, My 17, 13 and 9 year old LOVED this ride! We felt bad for the other riders because they didn't have Frosty! When we passed them their tour looked so boring! We really lucked out with a fun, energetic tour guide. Ride was about 40 minutes from what I can remember. You do get called to get on the ride ahead of time so be prepared to show up a little early and get checked in. They have a souvenir shop to look at before or after with a few refreshments for purchase. Book ahead of time online and keep checking the day before and morning of if you still need an opening. People were being turned away that came up looking to purchase. They sell out quick! Even on a weekday! Don't 2nd guess- Do the ride! You wont regret it! Have Fun!

Wow! What an amazing experience! This was the highlight of our trip to this area! It was worth every penny! The guide was phenomenal, and the ride was so fun and exhilarating. We also learned so much on this adventure!!! We highly recommend!

Be prepared to wait if you have a large party of people, but it's definitely worth it. The place has a good sense of humor, especially our driver, Paul, who was hilarious and made it ten times better. It's basically an educational roller coaster ride. You'll be on the ride for about an hour. It was a wonderful day to be out seeing the dunes and the wildlife. The deer are unafraid of getting close to the vehicle.

Totally worth the money. We all loved it - from kids (4-7) to grandparents (65+). The whole week was sold out, but I got 8 tickets at 7am the day before. We did a 9:40am ride in August 2025. Recently we've had highs of 90+ deg. The morning ride was very comfortable and the sand was still cool. The ride was super smooth - even sitting in the back row it was not jarring at all. We really appreciated our driver who was the perfect blend of history & entertainment.

The dune rides were beyond expectations! Booking was easy and they were very flexible when we needed to switch time slots. The staff was friendly and accommodating and I love that this is a locally owned small business which adds to the exclusivity of the experience. It is the best way to get to know the area, and I can already see this being a place I come back to every time I am in town. It is a quick thrill I would not miss. The guides truly make the ride and Paul especially stood out. He genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing, and he even made us think that giving tours and driving buggies all day might not be such a bad life. Watch out for snakes 😉

On our way to Arcadia we made a stop at Pilgrims. It was definitely worth the trip. It is a tough course, but worth the play. Very nice course, with a lot of entertaining holes. Flew and landed on 18 from the #2 tees. That stuff always makes you want to come back to play again. I would definitely recommend playing here.

I could see why the stars are so high. The course is so beautiful that every hall exclaims. I went to about 20 golf courses nearby while traveling. This is definitely the number one place. In some places I've been to, balls often flew from the side hole. It can never happen here. This is because the gap between the hall and the hall was far and there were many trees. If you visit Dashiji Station, I will definitely go back.

Absolutely perfect from tee to green. The course was in immaculate condition — fairways like carpet and greens rolled fast. The staff was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. This is a must-play track for any golfer in the area. It sets the standard for what a great golf day should be. Can not wait to come back!

Spectacular place! Not going to lie...going into our trip full of "Top 100" courses, this was kind of the wildcard or "throw away" course of the group. Let me just tell you that for me, it was probably #2 in my book. Only behind the Bluffs at Arcadia. What a spectacular layout. Now don't expect a fancy country club experience, because that's not what this is. This place is as quiet, out of the way, unassuming, low-key as it gets. But the golf is just WOW. So glad we came out.

Great golf course. Excellent staff was helpful and courteous. Course was in excellent condition. Peyton frequently drove by with refreshments. I hope I can golf here again in the future.

From the time we left the car to the time we left it was a first class operation and course. Staff was attentive and friendly and the overall course was pristine. Instantly one of my favorite courses.

I first played Pilgrim's Run in 2024. Following that experience I made it a goal to return to Michigan each year and play it again. I played last month and it was just as wonderful as my initial experience. The staff is friendly, accommodating and efficient. The course was in excellent shape. The holes are unique and challenging, yet fun. It does not feel monotonous, and the variance of each hole and green keeps one engaged throughout the round. If you are in the area, I highly recommend going

It’s good especially for kids with loads of interactive stuff for them to do within the park and plenty of animals for them to see. As others have suggested I would also recommend taking the funicular on the right hand side as you enter and going to the highest point of the zoo and working your way back down. Entrance fee was good value and I even got an over 62 discount! We also ate within the park as we spent most of the day there. The experience loses a star as a lot of the animals looked to be quite sad and bored, I appreciate the work of the zoo for the animals but some of the pens are not all that big and clearly not enough to keep them occupied in their surroundings.

Went for the Zoo Boo event. "Immerse yourself in otherworldly entertainment like magicians, fire performers, jugglers, villains and more! A wickedly fun family tradition. Thirteen twisted treat stations will be scattered throughout the zoo featuring a variety of Halloween treats." This was our first time there, and we really enjoyed it. The zoo had great Halloween decorations throughout and the candy stations were very generous. Most of the animals were napping. There was something to see between each exhibit which is nice. It's is however a lot of uphill walking, feel the burn, so if you went with a limited mobility walking, rent a scooter. We were there for three hours and still didn't see all the animals. There's a small playground outside of the zoo and one in the zoo, which was good for the kids, if they didn't get all that energy from doing all that walking. Would definitely recommend. It's a 2.5 hour drive, but it's worth it.

Every time I come back for a visit there is something new to look at and enjoy. Over the last twelve years john ball zoo has continued to expand and improve many exhibits. Its wonderful to see! My children have grown up coming to this zoo and always leave with excitement to come back again. Throughout the year there is an abundance of things to enjoy from festivals to events to just a regular day at the zoo. I absolutely love John Ball Zoo!! 💞 I've gone here since I can remember and now as a tradition every year when my daughter and granddaughter come home from Florida, both of my daughters, my granddaughter, both of my grandsons and I always make sure to go!! there are some really cool exhibits that you don't see in many other zoos around. the hippos were very cool, the penguins had a cool spot, and a lot of the animals had enclosures that you could see them without a huge sheet of glass like a lot if zoos. very cool zoo with some very cool viewing areas

Came to volunteer at Zoo Goes Boo and had the opportunity to walk around and see some of the animals. I loved the owls and red pandas! I can't wait until the new baby pygmy hippo (Hugo!) is out, but I did get to see papa Jahari swimming around the pool. I had a great time volunteering and walking around the zoo, can't wait to come back!

Really cool zoo, went kinda late in the season tho, so there were a few animals that weren't out. Did get to catch a glimpse of Hugo tho, so that was really cool. Will definitely have to go back earlier in the year next year.

This is a great museum, looking back at history through the lens of today sheds new light on quite a bit of the history presented here. You come away with a new found respect for president Ford, but at the same time you realize who the notorious players were in that same era. Worth a visit and it is a beautiful museum that is extremely well maintained.

Gerald Ford was President for only 895 days (2.45 years), so I didn't expect his Presidential museum to be as nearly as impressive as it is. First of all, it's located in a beautiful area of downtown Grand Rapids right off the Grand River. The building architecture and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The museum is well laid out with thousands of artifacts well displayed. It also contains a mockup of President Ford's Oval Office, as well as his Cabinet Room. This visit opened my eyes on what challenging times the Ford Administration had to operate in and all he had to deal with as leader of the free world.

This was our first presidential museum that we have ever visited and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we'd enjoyed it. Highly recommended if you're in the area to spend the time to tour this museum and learn a little bit about American history.

I traveled to Grand Rapids for the specific purpose of visiting the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. The Museum is located on the banks of the Grand River in Downtown Grand Rapids. The parking lot adjacent to the museum is free for Museum Visitors. As visitors approach the museum you are greeted by a very nice statue of First Lady Betty Ford. There is also a statue of President Ford at the entrance to the Museum. Once I purchased my ticket for the self-guided tour, I made my way up to the exhibit area which documents the life of the man who served as both Vice President and President and was never elected to either office. The first exhibits that I encounter documents the early life of President From his birth in Omaha, Nebraska to his football day at the University of Michigan. Moving though the museum I found the exhibits on his long career as a member of the United States House of Representatives. A part of the House Exhibit that I found particularly interesting was President Ford’s service as a Member of the Warren Commission that investigated the Assassination of President John Kennedy. The museum deals extensively and quite accurately with the corruption of the Nixon-Agnew Administration. After completing my tour of the museum, I made the short walk along the paved path to the crypt where both President and Mrs. Ford are resting. The walk from the Museum to the Gravesite affords visitors a very nice view of downtown Grand Rapids. During my 2025 visit to the Ford Museum was open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from Noon until 5 p.m. It has a very reasonable admission price of $13. Seniors’ admission is $11. All total I spent a little less than 4 hours at the museum. This is a very well-done museum and I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the Grand Rapids Area.

We only had a short time to spend here, maybe a couple hours, but it was enough. As opposed to all other presidential libraries, it was separate from the museum. This wasn’t made clear on the website(s). One was open on Saturday and the other was not. And there was a 2-hr drive separating them. Interesting museum, but not spectacular, compared to others we have visited.

Very nice place. For the roughly 2.5 years of presidential service, this is a very nice honor. The ability to bring the country together was his amazing character.

Aside from the red winged blackbird that attacked me on the sidewalk at departure, or the sheer volume of dog poop scattered across the grass between the president's grave and the river, I found this museum to be both illuminating and humbling. Having just read "Write It When I'm Gone," my impression of Ford was a four letter misfire: dull. I had the impression, based on his much later years, that President Ford lacked insight on his own life and experience, that his view of the world and the nation was incredibly superficial. And maybe it was, near the end, but this museum took me through a different--albeit understandably biased--point of view, letting me see Ford as a regular boy, a regular man, going through regular things, and yet excelling and serving for the benefit of other regular people, like himself. I've now been to 25 presidential graves and countless homes/museums/libraries, which means that a lot of them start to feel, for me, rehearsed and predictable. But in Ford's museum, I got a little choked up at my own arrogance, admitting, necessarily, that Ford wasn't dull at all. He was a hard-working man who fell into the presidency, never really wanting to be more than a legislator, a representative of the people for which the presidency offered him a new platform to serve. The only question that I never got answered, a question that someone might be able to answer here, is why Ford settled in California during his post-presidency, nudged between Nixon and Reagan, when he clearly loved his Michigan home.

The exhibits at the GR Public Museum seem to change fairly frequently, but there are a wide assortment of topics covered. Sharks made one of the main exhibits during my last visit, and the full scale models of some species were impressive. If you’re interested in the history of Grand Rapids there is plenty of information on that, and the scale model of the streets of a century ago is pretty cool. This museum can probably be comfortably explored in a couple of hours, but there’s a lot for kids to explore and enjoy here. It’s definitely a good option for families, but there’s probably a little something for everyone here.

Absolutely fabulous museum. Great variety of knowledge shared and lots of Michigan specific information. Sharks exhibit is really well done. I learned a lot. Three stories of fascinating artifacts displayed in a memorable and meaningful way. It's not a children museum but set up to be visually and physically engaging. Several child play areas. My favorite was the Grand Rapids main street. The best. Also enjoyed the old school way they exhibited flora, fauna, animals and habitats of Michigan. Wished I'd had family, especially my grandchildren with me. They would have loved this. I spend 2 hours, but probably needed 3. I'm a reader. Nice gift shop too.

Always a favorite with my family! We went this past Saturday and were pleasantly surprised with all the booths in the main lobby. My son had a blast doing the science activities at the booths as well as the scavenger hunt through out the museum! We initially went to see the Shark exhibit but we always end up going through the whole museum. It was worth it, my son loves sharks so it was so cool to see his face light up when we got to the exhibit and seen all the sharks waiting to be looked at and explored! Thank you for such a fun family day!

We saw the David Hockney exhibit and it was fabulous. Really well done and so colorful. We found convenient on-street parking near the entrance and a cute coffee house across the street. We enjoyed our visit.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon! It offers a wide variety of exhibits covering everything from the history of Grand Rapids to science, culture, and ecology. One of the standout features is the Old Grand Rapids exhibit — it's a recreated steet from old Grand Rapids, and easily one of the highlights of the museum. What really sets this museum apart is the level of interactivity. Many of the exhibits are hands-on, making it a great spot for kids and adults alike to engage and explore. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this museum is definitely worth checking out.

There are lots of cool exhibits and a planetarium inside. I think my favorite part today is the Streets of Old Grand Rapids exhibit, with reproductions of typical businesses, complete with a volunteer typesetter and printer in the print shop, who gave great demos. They welcome reciprocal membership visitors, so check your museum memberships against their list!

Van Andel has always been a great venue. Large enough to hold big crowds but small enough to not be stadium size. Lots of food and drink options, heavy on the alcohol choices. (I’m sober so overpriced water and pop were my options.. Atleast what I found) The downfall, leaving the arena is packed, there wasn’t a good direction for people to know where to go and the hallways were standstill for quite awhile after the show let out. Letting people know there are back exits is needed to help with the flow of traffic.

Beautiful venue with great acoustics but the seats are horrible. I'm 5'9", 170 lbs, and I barely fit in my chair. Zero leg room. Forearms sore from rubbing on the built-in cup holders on the tiny armrests. Big guy next to me spilling over into my seat. Would have been more comfortable standing for 3 hrs.

The venue is very nice. They even served wine. The sound system was fantastic, and that D J was just off the hook.

Amazing views for concerts, a lot of food for the price, but the worst part was the seats. I could not sit comfortably because I am a larger man. I had to stand or sit on the arm rest of the seat(luckily no one was next to me.)

Great place to go to for concerts, and hockey games. I’m there a few times a years. Easy parking right across the street and the food options are decently priced for the type of venue it is.

Went for Matt Rife. They run a good ship. Everyone is professional and keeps things moving. We sat on the floor. I'm a fatty, but my daughter isn't and she even thought the seats on the floor were cramped. The sound on the floor makes it a little difficult to make out everything a comedian is saying. All that said, good venue.

Such a great experience and fantastic comedy show with Matt Rife❣️he is simply amazing 🤩 This place is huge and it was sold out for the first time for comedy shows.

Absolutely beautiful. We are here for the autumn night on Tuesday, but have spent the day here too. We took the tram into the sculpture park area, not worth the price you pay for 1/2 hr ride when you can't see most of the sculptures! If you are here to see these amazing sculptures then skip the expensive tram ride. Plan on spending the day here, there is so much to see. If we lived in the area we would definitely get a membership. Looking forward to this evening. Music, lights and more. I'll add more pics later if I can. We were blessed with a beautiful fall day and evening. Beautiful evening, perfect weather.

We have been to several different gardens in different states and this place is in the top 3. It was very easy to get too. Had no problems with traffic getting to this location. The parking lot was easy to enter and plenty of spots near the main entrance. They have a kiosk or front desk to buy tickets. No line at either. We only pay for the tickets not parking or maybe the parking is included in the ticket price but I feel it was a great price. This place is extremely large and there is lots of ground to cover. You could easily spend the whole day here. They have a gift shop inside. They have a very large amount of unique sculptures. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Spectacular! Stunning collection of sculptures! Incredible gallery space! Be sure and see the documentary film before you tour the garden. Great place for anyone!! So beautiful and the staff are the friendliest and best!! We were fortunate to see some wonderful special exhibits! Loved our lunch in the dining room! Great gift shop! So thrilled we got to see this amazing property! Thanks to David for a very informative tram ride around the property!

Recently I visited the Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids. It's truly a fascinating place. It has numerous indoor and outdoor gardens, including a children's garden, as well as a sculpture park. The highlight to me was the Japanese garden. It is absolutely lovely. There is also a cafe and a gift shop. The park requires a lot of walking but they do provide both a tram and a shuttle for those who can't handle all the walking. This is definitely a don't miss Park.

A well-maintained incredibly beautiful and relaxing 158-acre botanical garden, art museum, and outdoor sculpture park with walking trails throughout. Visiting is an adventure, similar to going to Disneyland, except more relaxing because you are surrounded my nature. There is also plenty of parking and you can easily spend a few hours exploring. Be sure also to see the gift shop before leaving.

Our family has loved coming to Meijer Gardens for over a decade now. Every season brings new displays and views all around the grounds. We have brought friends and family here from all around the country and it’s always a crowd pleaser. A must-see in the Grand Rapids area. Great for all ages in all seasons.

These gardens absolutely deserve a 5 star rating. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable docents are located throughout the area. Great displays, sculptures and tours offered. The grounds are immaculate! We thoroughly enjoyed and will return!!

Can't share any photos as the wedding was only yesterday. It's a very beautiful venue for an upscale countrychic style wedding. I thought it was very well done, even given an unfortunate chilly afternoon. Food and staff delightful. Modern Quaint. The Bride and Groom were both beautiful and so happy. I saw a wedding coordinator that was top notch as well as a photographer that did not miss a blink!! Lovely place lovely 😍 Only downside, while there is ample parking and probably considerations for the elderly//disabled in the main building, this consideration was overlooked in the wedding venue. While pleasant. The bathrooms were up a set of 5 steps. Hardly accessible. The nearest accessible facility was far into the main building. Hardly appropriate for wedding guests and disabilities , and the two 93 year olds with Walkers Why isn't there handicap parking back there??? At least closer?

The customer service was polite and very helpful. Unfortunately, the business just wasn't what we thought it was. It gives the appearance of being a collection of small businesses however, it seems that is not the case. The employee did explain that it once had been but, now it's main business is a restaurant. We may return to try this sometime.

Amazing coffee shop with some very delicious donuts and bagels I had the blueberry banana smoothie it was delicious as well. very cool modern yet classic atmosphere with comfortable seating. A perfect place to hang out and enjoy your coffee. Being an apple farm, they also have a great assortment of apples and ciders that you can purchase to go.

Super fun stop a bit farther out, but worth the drive. Their selection of ciders is extensive and is sure to please everyone in the group. Set in a clean section of farmland, you can see why someone would want to have their wedding here. It’s very clean and upkept, with nice fireplace seating on the outdoor patio. The market had a small selection of different goods alongside cider and donuts. The cider donuts had a great flavor, but seemed just a tad dry. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and we plan on returning!

After a short visit 2 years ago I immediately knew Frugthaven would be the location for my first business retreat. The service and attention to detail were incredible. My team and all attendees loved the experience and the Farm. So much so, that I'll be hosting my second business retreat for 50 guests at Frugthaven Farm soon and we can't wait!

Was passing through town google mapped gluten free bakery near me because my girlfriend is gluten intolerant and it’s always fun to find gluten-free sweets for her, the bakery had just that. they offered four different kinds of cupcakes which We enjoyed Sharing for breakfast and chased it down with A couple cups of fresh chai coffee. (they also had cookies and cakes) we walked around a bit tried a few ciders over at the bar and enjoyed the market with some relaxing quality time together. Visited property for a 2 day retreat held here and found Frughhaven farm to be a beautiful venue with lovingly maintained spaces. So much care and attention to detail has been poured into this property. The staff was friendly and the icing on the cake was delicious coffee and donuts. Can't wait to return to this stunning property.

We had an incredible time here! Free admission and easy parking! A WIDE range of animals and activities for all to enjoy! The "extras" are very modestly priced, with options to pay with card inside the parakeet feeding barn. There are "food stations" all over where for 50c you can get food out of feed the animals. :) The reindeer barn has a coin change machine! For kiddos that are not as interested in the animals there is a large play ground, many slides, the hay ride, and 2 trains rides (and I'm sure more!) ALL the rides and equipment were very "small child" or "toddler" friendly. This includes the viewing areas for the animals! We did not get a chance to do everything at Anderson and Girls this time around, but we will be able to easily return a few more times this fall because of their free admission! 😁 Don't forget to donate during your visit if you can! It helps keep this great place free admission!

Great place to go, the (free) petting zoo had a ton of animals with more variety than I was expecting. I'm talking cows to bobcats to absolutely obese prairie dogs. Lots of great treats to buy like jam, apples, and breads at good prices. Simple menu at the Sweet Shop but good prices, and my wrap was huge and fresh and filling. They have lots of fall activies as well like tractor rides. I went on a gloomy Friday so it was a lot emptier than I anticipate it would on a weekend.

We went here for my birthday some weeks ago. I got a squirrel plushie in the gift shop that I ended up naming Andy, and it's one of those plushies where you can put it in the microwave and then it gets all warm and you can cuddle it. I also fed the little baby goats! They were so cute. And we got chicken nuggets and a deep fried cheese stick corn dog thing and donuts and stuff, and I got some birds in the bird thing to land on my hand and eat the peanut butter seeds I had.

Everything was gorgeous and so well maintained! We had no idea we were going to be seeing all of the exotic animals and it was such a pleasant surprise. They all look so healthy and happy with immaculate habitats. The donuts and cider were delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

What an awesome place ! It's free, but they do rely on donations to keep it that way. Donation boxes as you walk around . Cost $5 a person for the tractor ride through the orchard (last about 15 minutes). $5 to ride the Pony's . They also have $5 camel rides and $2 mini train rides. The pony ride was probably 5-8 minutes and she loved it. Only thing we didn't care for was people smoking cigarettes and smelling the smoke. If it was a no smoking on the property it would make it better or maybe a designated smoking area? They have a bunch of jams and sweets you can buy in the little shop all reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning!

Such a fun little petting zoo. Free to enter. You can donate if you like or buy feed for the animals while there. They also have a couple rides such as train and camel. The sweet shop and bakery have many goods to look through.

The entirety of this place is truly remarkable. The baked goods and ice cream shop are delightful. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Additionally, the free animal exhibit is a wonderful feature. Donations are appreciated but not required. Apples and carrots are also available for purchase. To feed the many animals.

A fantastic experience! This resort is truly one-of-a-kind in Michigan. The new pool area is incredible, and the hotel is beautiful, giving us that premium Vegas feel with only an hour's drive. We ate at four restaurants, and every one was beautiful, clean, and had excellent service. My wife and I often split meals, and we were so impressed that the staff brought our food out pre-divided on separate plates every single time. Not many places take the time to do that, and it's a thoughtful touch that really makes a difference. The casino floor was also really nice and immaculate. We didn't win this time, but we still had a lot of fun playing. We will definitely be back!

I have never been to casino that the return to player is as bad as this place. They built the water park and giant hotel. I have not stayed there yet. Noteworthy they have been offering me two free nights a week. I know three people that have stayed all three say the same thing. That the service and staff are very sub par. I have gambled in Casinos literally all over North America. The last three times I was in Gun Lake I spent some time walking around and watching. What stood out is nobody in that giant place wasv winning. Supported by the lack of announcements declaring jackpot winners. I went through close to 500 with ought hitting anything more than 10 or 20 dollars tops. And even those hits were few and far between . The last three times have all been between 4 and 9 pm on Friday. Also drinks are crazy expensive. 16.00 for a Jim Bean and diet coke double. STAY AWAY

Loved the rooms, they didn't skip a beat when they did the rooms and hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I can say the only disappointment was the choice in food, we went to the only restaurant that was opened that we could see, and I do understand that it was a Tuesday but was looking forward to the food court or sports bar, so next time we will come on a Thursday or Friday when those are open. We didn't use the pool area but what an amazing oasis this is for part of the casino, so maybe next time when we are there for a longer period of time we will use it. Machines were a little tight but understand it is about timing and choice of machines, which there are a huge variety. The gaming floor is very spacious. We will be back and definitely recommend to others!

Overall great experience, would return. Pool was great, live entertainment at the bar. The food at the buffet was good. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. Only complaint would be to make a pathway from the hotel parking to the hotel entrance, they do offer free valet though so it would be a non issue if you decide to do that.

The rooms are so clean and beautiful. The restaurants and casino are all so great and the way it is set up really flows well. This is a class act!! Everyone was just so nice and welcoming, the staff were amazing. Jake who checked us in really stood out. He saw me later and remembered my name, wow!!

The hotel rooms are wonderful, they thought of everywhere designing them. Check in was easy , employees were friendly and I can’t say enough about the pool area. I didn’t win here but there was a great selection of slot machines , the table minimums were low when compared to minimums at other casino , I haven’t seen $2 minimum Roulette tables in years but they had one here. I will definitely be going back , it was a great trip , worse the 170 mile drive

10/10 I brought my boyfriend for his birthday over the weekend of November 9th.. Skeptical on reading the reviews because they said the pool was cold but it was actually really warm.. the swim up bar was really nice too, our bartender Aleeha was extremely friendly & nice! We would 100% come here & stay again!

One of four covered bridges in Michigan you can still drive across which makes this pretty special for how old it is. I was there about 15 minutes and not a single other vehicle passed me. Peaceful.

Loverly little Covered bridge crossing the river. Ample parking in Fallasburg park. Picnic tables available. One lane. Try not speed, follow the speed limit slow walking pace.

Gorgeous bridge and a great place to put in or take out a kayak or canoe. The bridge is beautiful beware of the over-speed toll. The troll collects on the far side.

Beautiful covered bridge! Nice park for a picnic. Not too far off the beaten path.

This is just a really peaceful place to go! We went in the summer and there are families fishing on the banks of the river, people kayaking on the river and all kinds of gatherings in the heavily shaded park itself.

I love the rustic look of covered bridges. Glad to have made the stop and checked this one out.

Went for my birthday, been wanting to go. It was definitely worth going to but I’ve had better experiences at other zoos like this, specifically with feeding the animals. It would be nice to be able to have more access . I’ve been to a different zoo where we were on a platform, so we were eye level with the giraffes and we could actually hug them and have more of an experience.

Amazing place to see a wide variety of animals in a nice clean setting with interaction. Plenty of restrooms and clean. The animals seem to have nice environments to be in. The giraffes were amazing to interact with. We also got to see the alligator feeding which was fun to watch. Would highly recommend!

This place was lots of fun! They had a wide variety of animals to check out and feed. We were traveling in from Texas and had to check it out while in Michigan. Our kiddo is a wild animal lover and we were pleasantly surprised at the variety they had compared to our zoo back home. Definitely worth a visit.

Love Boulder Ridge Zoo! It is a family favorite. It is perfect for families with all ages as there is something for everyone. There is a play area and train for younger kids. A great little snack bar and my Favorite thing is to feed the Giraffes and parakeets. The zoo is kept so clean and well staffed!!

We had the best time here with our little family! We loved being able to actually see the animals and interact with them! I really appreciate that the enclosures are meant for actual visibility of the animals. The park seems so clean and well taken care of. The animals also look to be well cared for!

This zoo expands every summer and just keeps getting better and better. So many amazing animals to see. You also get to feed giraffes, camels, goats, alpaca, and even the crocs. The Cafe also has really tasty food. I had the pretzel bites and they were hot and fresh.

Great zoo, that provides plenty of rest areas from the sun, restrooms within a reasonable distance & plenty of animals to see. We fed the giraffes, the camel, alpacas & plenty of goats😁. The mist fans were the perfect item for a super hot day. I only wish the still had the safari trolley, like they did when it first opened. Wonderful experience for my grandkids.

Phenomenal experience with friends! I've done two of their rooms now, and both were packed with unique clues and puzzles, fun props, and just the right level of head-scratching. The whole operation runs smoothly and the staff are friendly and helpful. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Had a wonderful time. Probably one of the best escape rooms I have seen so far! The Ancient Egypt room was great and had a real old school vibe with the sand on the floors and hieroglyphics. The owner Sean was very informative and polite!

So much fun I have escaped. We have visited all 3 of their rooms. The experience is top notch. The rooms are a well thought out, immersive one of a kind experience. The puzzles are fun and use of technology impressive. This sure beats the movies.

Our group recently did the Captured room and it was AMAZING. The theme was on point, puzzles were challenging, and even though we didn't escape our group really enjoyed it. FOLLOW them on social media so that when they find a new home, you can visit wherever it is - it'll be worth it!

My sister, her husband, my fiance, and myself went to the escape room in Portland MI and it was so much fun! It's a great place to have a family or friend game night! We will definitely go there again! And the staff was very friendly and helpful during the game!

We had a great time. This was my family's first time doing an escape room, and the staff explained everything we needed to know. The "Pharaohs Tomb" room was very well thought out and while the puzzles were hard, they weren't impossible to solve. You can tell they had put a lot of work into the room.

This is 2nd time we've gone. We did Pharaohs Tomb: Anubis' Wrath and it was awesome!! Just like the first room we did, they really went all out & we had the best Gamemaster: Ella!! We can't wait to go back for a 3rd time and hopefully get Ella again!! Great experience all around! :)

My family went to Uncle John's for the Crafts Festival and Sunflower vases at the end of August. It was a good time. The crafts vendors brought were awesome and the sunflower fields were beautiful. Inside the store were yummy donuts and fresh cider. Prices were a little high but the variety of breads and baked goods were plentiful. We will definitely go back to visit.

Our family had a great time exploring this awesome cider mill!!! So many things to do for the children and at a fair price. I also love that you can drive down to whatever area you want to explore instead of walking the whole farm. We especially enjoyed picking the flowers for free and the wagon ride($5).The wagon ride takes you through the apple orchard past the pumpkin patches and by the corn maze.My daughter had a blast on the jump pillow also. My husband absolutely loved the sour cream donut but many of the other ones too- we got half. Dozen for a little over $13.

Overall, great experience. Visited during the recent art festival held there which had better booths than other art markets Ive been to. I tried the cider slush they had and it was tasty. Infelt like more signage wouldve been helpful. It would also have been nice if the cider bar had a bathroom open so one didnt have to walk to the porto johns out by the festival itself. I get why they do it but thwn have some bathrooms close by.

We did enjoy it. But it felt like we were at a fair/carnival. Not what expected. Donuts and the bakery have very tasty items.

I really really wanted this to be more fun than it was 🫤 There is absolutely zero flow of traffic and so many people! The bakery, gift shop and cidery are so jam packed together with looong lines. We waited 25 minutes just to get to the doorway of the pie barn. These buildings and the pumpkin patch are at opposite ends of the property separated by the parking lot. This means walking (on a path barely wide enough for two wagons to pass each other) through the parking lot. There is very little signage for the wagon, train and corn maze. Everything is pricey, but that's the world we live in. $12 for a gallon of cider but I thought it was very good. Price for the pumpkins seemed reasonable, though I could have done without the group of 6ish people, smoking pot with children EVERYWHERE. Not a terrible time but definitely expect to spend a considerable amount of time standing around, waiting. For my family, not worth the 1.5 hour drive.

IMO-It's a very commercialized/tourist trap Orchard. Food trucks all over, that is a major downgrade for a good old Fall Orchard visit. Its massively huge if you want to visit everything, parking is worse than a mall. It's massively busy, most activities packed with people. Everything cost money per person, the free stuff didn't excite my kiddos except the giant bouncy bubble. We got a variety of donuts, every flavor tasted the same, plain. The Cider is very good! I gave 2 stars for the Cider (4 star) and we got a few good pictures. Probably not going again, it's all too much for me to enjoy. I'd prefer a good Ole family farm/Orchard visit, free corn maze. Overall not for us...

We've been here to play at the IQHUB. My son's class just went on the field trip here. Its a fun experience for all ages.

There was a lot of activities for my 5 year old grandson. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to take kids. There is A LOT of interactive things to do.

Went here as a field trip. It's hard to get into, and the kids were 2nd grade. There's not much but information. It was boring.

A great look into the world of agriculture, and they bring in new things to look at. Just drove 45 min one way for there aviation day with my kids and it was well worth it.

Took a bus load of kids, they had fun.

Affordable donuts and cider. It has a lot of things to do. Approximately 40 min walk corn maze, wagon rides, apple cannon, pumpkin slingshot, playground, slides, indoor seating, U-Pick apples. Great for all ages.

My grandson and my neighbors and I went to Country Mill and had donut sundaes. They were yummy. Thanks to Bridget and her staff Kat and Reliegh for their wonderful, friendly service. It's the beginning of a good day.

This is a fun orchard/farm to visit. There were tons of things for kids to do. Pamela was awesome! She was making fresh caramel apples and talked with us about all that she was doing- very informative and fun to watch. They also had a viewing area to watch the team members sort their apples- a great behind the scenes look that you don't usually get.

The Country Mill provided a wonderful natural backdrop for this family photo session! The check-in process for photographers is simple and efficient, and the grounds provided a variety of locations great for photos.

I love going to the Country Mill! One of my favs. They have the best donuts around as well as some of the nicest employees. Today my family of 6 were treated so politely by Jesus Bonilla at the apple cannon. He made our experience even better. Also, Malachi at the corn maze was polite. We will be back!
