We visited Waterfront Park during the summer, and it turned out to be a perfect spot for a relaxing and fun afternoon. Just two blocks from the main Leavenworth street, this park feels like a quiet escape from the busy downtown. The park is small but charming, with lots of shaded areas, seating, and clean restrooms. Although we didn’t have time to explore the trail, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. There's a lake within the park, and we saw many people floating down the river — a great way to cool off! There’s also a bridge where people were jumping into the water, which added a fun and lively vibe. If you're visiting Leavenworth in the summer, definitely bring a swimsuit and a floaty. It’s a great activity for both kids and adults — refreshing, fun, and free! Highly recommend stopping by.

River access and spots to enjoy nature. Only a road over from downtown, but offered a different environment. Nice place to take lunch.

Awesome place to tube, hang out by the water and enjoy nature. It’s especially nice about 1-2 hours after sunset in the summer. Parking lot is small but the walk is short. Amazon place for pictures or just to sit and relax.

Excellent mostly flat trails with a few restrooms along the way. A few playgrounds for the kiddos and in the fall, it’s a kaleidoscope of color!! You may even see a family of deer crossing the river.

This park wasn't what I expected, and I was surprised with how many beaches it has. It would be better with more signs indicating the beaches, since I saw some people swimming at certain points and didn't know how they got in there. The playground looks renovated with interesting equipment and multiple types of swings. Portable toilets were at the entrance, but I found out later there's an actual restroom building. It smelled bad in the restroom, and I wish they left the door open if they could.

Waterfront Park is a peaceful spot to step away from the busyness of town and enjoy a slower pace. The playground makes it great for families, and having bathrooms on-site is a thoughtful touch. When we visited, the Sugarloaf Fire gave the park an eerie look in photos, but it was still a beautiful and memorable place to stop

The route to get to the location is lushes green, full of stunning trees and more when you get there. Enjoy!!!

Fantastic sight seeing sport. The waterfall is beautiful. Hydroelectric power plant is adjacent. Details are mentioned in the site. River is clean. Washroom needs to be cleaned and improved. Good parking space is available.

An incredible bang for the effort! Paved walkway to the upper decks with accessible parking, both free and paid parking. If you want to go closer. You can hike to the bottom or park in the lower parking lot to see the lower falls. They were raging hard when I was there!

This is a very beautiful waterfall. The view is stunning. There is both free and paid parking. ADA parking is all free, and there are avcessible ramps. Drones are not allowed, but there are plenty of photo opportunities. I highly recommend it for kids and families. There are also rest rooms and some nice walking trails.

Snoqualmie Falls is a stunning and easily accessible waterfall, perfect for anyone looking for natural beauty without a long hike. It’s only about an hour’s drive from Seattle, and you can enjoy an incredible view right from the main viewpoint. The area is very visitor-friendly, with a café, a gift shop, and both free and paid parking options. For those who want to explore more, there are walking paths and a trail that leads down closer to the river. Restrooms are available on-site. Highly recommended for a quick getaway, family trip.

We drove up there at night, and it was really pretty. The white falls were very visible against the darkness around it, and the lights around the Lodge helped with that.

The view is very nice. There are enough spaces to park. The fall is impressive, and we can see rainbow. The trail is interesting with different plants. The trees are interesting. Nice trip. There are some introductions of the hydropower system and the history of Indian culture.

Saw the new Tron movie, and it was so awesome. The NIN sound track was amazing, and the theater sound system really handled it well. The IMAX blew my mind, and the seats were so comfortable! Over all this place was great I had an amazing experience! We'll done

We love this mall and all the many options for food, clothes, and really anything you could need. Outdoor and indoor shopping. We love Aerie, Lush, Urban Outfitters, and more. Food court could use better options, but we love Bitty fish sushi and the new Korean spot the most.

The mall was beautifully maintained. The floors were spotless, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was comfortable to spend time there without feeling rushed.

The mall is perfect for shopping, featuring all the popular American brands. There’s a kids' playground and a good selection of restaurants. The only downside is the parking—on weekends, it can take about 10 minutes to find a spot, so plan ahead.

A visit to the Mt. Rainier Gondola was an unforgettable experience! Tickets were easy to purchase online or right at the location. The gondola ride itself was smooth, fun, and offered incredible views the whole way up. Staff were friendly and attentive—they stopped the gondola to assist with safe and easy loading and unloading for those with mobility needs, which was very helpful. The area is ADA accessible at the base with clean restrooms, and there are additional restrooms at the top (note: there’s a steep staircase to access them). There’s a gift shop and cafe at the bottom, and a full-service restaurant at the summit with both indoor and outdoor seating—perfect for enjoying the scenery. The most unique part of our visit? We got to see a wedding party arrive via gondola for a mountaintop ceremony! Such a special and magical moment to witness. Highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting the area.

The trip to visit this place is an ABSOLUTE must if you can find time! The tickets were really easy to acquire on site as we made the decision to take it 3 hours before they closed. The views are SPECTACULAR however, when the fog comes in, it comes in HEAVY like San Francisco fog. The gondola ride was very smooth and not bumpy as a normal ski lift would be. Truly a magical place and so glad we got to experience it!

This was a really fun experience loved by all members of the family! While the price might seem high, you get two roundtrip rides with each ticket, which makes it extra fun! The gondolas can seat four comfortably and six in a squeeze. The ride is smooth and the views are beyond amazing.

We came in our way to N Cascades. Very cute but expensive to ride. The restaurant at the top doesn’t open until 10:30 and we couldn’t hang out that long. But the gondola itself was nice. We were there in July and it was not crowded

This is among the core attractions of Seattle as the museum provides great insights into music, movies, comics and associated culture. The exhibitions in the museum keep on changing and associated information is available on the website. Tickets can be purchased online as well as at the spot. The Museum is located in the Seattle Center area and is accessible by bus, mono rail, self driving, as well as the city tour hop on hop off tour bus. The music is closed each week on a Wednesday instead of Sunday. The museum has an interesting outlook as the building has a very futuristic and artistic outlook with buildings in various colors.

Museum was super cool. Lots of different genres of pop culture to experience (Fantasy, sci-fi, anime, music, video games, etc). There were some really fun interactive exhibits too (Indie video game and the Sound Lab). I really loved the Sound Lab and playing the instruments. The horror section was awesome as well. A very cool museum right next to the Space Needle. Definitely worth a visit if you're into pop culture. We went on a Monday. It never felt too busy. The staff was very friendly as well.

My oh my!! There are no words to describe this museum. You have to live it. Great exhibitions from music to movies. Amazing valuable artifacts belonging to great celebrities. The Jimmy Hendrix exhibition is amazing and If you are a fan of Nirvana you will be blown away. On the top floor you can experiment and learn musical instruments. I was amazed because there are individual boots where you can practice. Incredible! It is not cheap specially the souvenirs but is totally worth it. The location is great. It is near the Neaddle and there is a tram stop right beside it. Don't miss a photo with Chris Cornell statue. Save at least a morning to visit it.

I have visited MoPOP a couple of times and loved how immersive it the exhibits are! From iconic music history to sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and pop-culture moments, this museum has everything we all grew up with. Plus, the building itself is a piece of art, and you can easily spend 2–3 hours here without realizing it. If you enjoy music, movies, or anything nostalgic, MoPOP is absolutely worth a visit. Just be ready for crowds on weekends!

Very good exhibition on Jimmy Hendrix ! Was hoping for more on underground Seattle music from 80’. Great exhibition on horror movies and Science Fiction films. There was an exhibit on Asian comic culture, but I haven’t explored this one . The building itself is very impressive as is collection of the famous musician’s guitars 🎸

Interesting place for many! Loved their space exhibition. Found much stuff to do even for 5yo. And special plesure was tgeir outside playground even with chilly and wet weather. Lot of diverse fun! Strong 5💫 experience with leave/come in option diring the day.

I had a very good experience, wish I could have had more time, but loved the Asian comics exhibition it was very interesting and has comics from different countries in Asia. The other exhibits were also very good, Fantasy, Terror and Science Fiction, q lot of original prompts from well known movies. had a very wonderful time with my family. One thing I didn't like at all was that in the shop they sell a lot of AI generated art in their t shirts... that was really disappointing.

Very cool attraction and the staff moves people on and off the elevators very efficiently. We happen to go on a beautiful afternoon at 5:30pm and saw a gorgeous sunset. It you have a fear of heights, this may not be for you. The elevator and floors at the top are glass! The view of Mt. Rainier was spectacular.

We came on a foggy day, but the views were still amazing the skyline, the water, and all the buildings looked unreal from the top. The rotating glass floor is something you have to try. Standing on it and looking straight down is a feeling you can’t get anywhere else. The Space Needle is clean, well-run, and worth the price for anyone visiting Seattle. The staff was friendly, the lines moved fast, and the entire observation deck felt modern and safe. Whether it’s your first time in Seattle or you’ve lived here your whole life, the Space Needle gives you a completely different view of the city. If you’re looking for top things to do in Seattle, the Space Needle is absolutely a must-see. The views, the height, the rotating floor, and the photos you can take here are unbeatable. Our pictures came out beautiful even with the clouds and the whole experience makes you understand why this is one of the most famous attractions in Washington. Highly recommend visiting if you want stunning Seattle views, amazing photos, and a unique experience you won’t get anywhere else.

We had a very fun time going up. The view is spectacular. We talked about going up the newer, taller observation deck, but it was sold out, so we did the Space Needle. I was glad we did, it's set apart from the other tall buildings so I think you probably get a more interesting view. Plus it's iconic. I thought the rotating floor was fun. I would recommend reserving a time slot in advance. We went during the week in the morning and it wasn't too busy.

We checked this place out for sunset recently and had a great visit. The timeline of events leading up to the opening of the Space Needle as you wait in line for the elevator is pretty cool. The elevator ride to the top is quick, but offers great views. The employee riding with us was informative and funny. The views from the top are spectacular. We unfortunately didn’t have the best view of Mt. Rainier on this visit, but you could see a silhouette in the distance. It was a beautiful sunset that day and well worth the trip. Highly recommend.

We were a party of 4 adults and visited on a Thursday morning at 11 am. We all had a great experience and enjoyed our visit . Everyone should go once. They offer a military discount , but those tickets can only be purchased in person. The process to buy tickets and enter is easy. Grounds and interior spotless. The elevator ride to the top of the Space Needle is so fast we really didn’t see the city as we rode up. I felt there were too many people in the elevator at once. The views are spectacular and lots of seating inside and outdoors. There is a casual cafe and bar at the top. There’s not anything to do except walk around, look at the views, take pictures, buy snacks and drinks. We were done with our visit in 45 minutes , but stretched it to 90 minutes by buying drinks and sitting down and talking. There is a very expensive Resturant ($100 per person) at the top and we’d like to visit that at night on a special occasion. The gift shop is very nice .

We visited Chihuly Garden and Glass right after our trip up the Seattle Space Needle, and the convenience can't be beaten. The two attractions are located very close to each other, making it a perfect combo for a day at the Seattle Center. From the moment we stepped inside, I was totally astonished. The artwork displayed, made entirely from glass, is beyond impressive. The vibrant colors, the organic shapes, the dramatic lighting, and the massive, complex formations all combined to form a constant "wow" factor in every single room. It feels like walking through a magical, otherworldly garden. Be aware that it is a compact museum, so I can easily imagine how crowded the indoor galleries can get during peak busy seasons. We were there in October and found the conditions perfect—the crowds were manageable and the weather was ideal. Speaking of weather, the outdoor garden area is absolutely beautiful, with the glass sculptures intertwined with natural foliage. However, I do think anyone visiting in the summer might have a hard time enduring the heat there, as it's quite exposed. Our autumn visit provided the perfect climate to enjoy both the intricate indoor exhibits and the beautiful garden setting at a leisurely pace. A must-see for art lovers, but timing your visit can make all the difference.

It took us less than an hour to walk through, but every display was stunning and full of detail. One thing that really stood out to us was how clean everything was. The air felt spotless and there was no dust on or around the glass pieces, which was amazing to see. Outside, there was live glass blowing, and they were making vases while explaining the process. It was fascinating to watch, and the artists were great at interacting with the audience and answering questions. Overall, it was a short visit but very memorable and worth seeing.

This is a must stop when you’re in Seattle. You see some beautiful amazing glass art and there’s a beautiful garden outside that you can relax and enjoy. The garden is unique because it’s a combination of nature with glass art. I also truly enjoyed seeing the art made live. The artist was also explained the process, which was very educational. The souvenirs at the gift shop are beautiful but overpriced. I am so glad we just went before the time on our ticket because the glasshouse was closing at the time of our reservation due to a private event. They did not tell us this when we were purchasing the tickets online and I believe we paid the same price. Thankfully, we got there early and was able to see it. We also enjoyed a glass of wine at the bar there, where the service was great. This is definitely a great museum to see when you’re in Seattle.

This place is absolutely stunning. We bought a combined ticket to visit the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass, which worked really well. The glass artwork is incredible - so intricate, colourful and creative. The exhibition showcases the unique style of Dale Chihuly, with both indoor galleries and outdoor garden installations that make it a truly immersive experience. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate art and design.

Amazing pieces. Seattle location has been on my list after visiting the St Pete location. The glass house and garden was gorgeous as well and enjoyed watching his work in the theatre. I watched the live glass blowing as well and it was so fun to watch. The bar was so cute with all his collections showcased. My only thing was I paid $20 for what tasted like a $6 happy hour premade margarita. Cocktail bars are cheaper and they are handcrafted. Regardless, the bartender and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend checking this museum out

I am shocked by the sheer amount of single use plastic being sold on board your ferries. What a negligent display of cognitive dissonance. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish—and yet for your water-dependent business you profit off of…all this?? We can and must do better. You could start by switching to aluminum canned water (infinitely recyclable) and phasing out single use plastics like these, completely. Your customer base is a captive audience—give them better, more dignified options. No more polluting the very ecosystems you operate within. Thank you for considering my feedback.

Great way to explore, drive onto Ferries and go check out the islands, also if you’re lucky you can see orca’s.

We really enjoy the Alki bakery items and soft pretzels offered on the ferries! For me, a good IPA is so good with the pretzels. The hot dogs and breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, too. Staff are also friendly and provide good service. Thanks and keep it up!

Disappointed in the front staff experience. During my recent ferry trip, the older white woman working at the front with the tickets was extremely unprofessional. She addressed my partner with friendliness — calling him “babe” — but said absolutely nothing to me, even though I was standing right there. It felt dismissive and low-key disrespectful. It’s 2025, and basic courtesy shouldn’t be selective based on who you are. Do better. This kind of behavior makes women feel invisible and uncomfortable — especially in mixed-race couples. I expected more.

The staff who help cars load on our ferries surely deserve a hearty shout out. They are incredibly effective at non verbal communicating: signaling clearly and emphatically what we need to do, especially those of us who are new to riding ferries. They give you plenty of heads up to get back to your car. Though a little extra time is always advisable if you’re on a particularly large ferry and don’t know the layout. If they see, wondering tourists going beyond the safety lines for photos of the skyline, they will politely but firmly bring them back in. Next time you see a ferry staff person, give them a wave and a smile and say thank you.

A great place to visit but I skipped the food experience because of the lines! I loved walking through the alleys and especially the flowers! The market was buzzing with food, culture and my favorite sight: seafood! Everybody seemed nice and know customer service! Not too expensive while I was browsing and the walk to the overlook way was a plus! I loved that while you walk to the market you can see through the lake!

We were visiting Seattle from Nashville for business and had a few free hours to be tourists. Several people suggested we check out Pike Place Fish Market, and it was an amazing experience! The weather was fantastic, and the atmosphere felt a bit like a lively, open-air flea market — full of unique shops and friendly vendors. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. We sampled honey, jellies, olive oils, fruits, and even fish! Everything was so fresh and delicious. We couldn’t resist buying several of the local goodies to take home. The hot cider was especially good and perfect for sipping as we wandered through the market. We even got to experience them yelling and throwing fish around which I suppose is special to the market. If you’re visiting Seattle, we definitely recommend stopping by Pike Place Market. It was the perfect way to spend a few free hours and made our short trip feel extra special!

Great show. Brought king crabs legs with them shipped to California for overnight ship so perfectly. I purchased on Tuesday noon and Box arrived Wednesday 10AM next business day $69 cost for overnight shipping and crabs $99 per pound. I got 2 kind of crabs $380 for 4 pound. Amazing staff all of them super nice and friendly. Very good experience. If you guys want to ships crabs or seafood for your family you can try. Highly recommended and I definitely come back.

A unique experience in an iconic location, the sights, smells and overall vibe was outstanding. As a tourist you get a rare opportunity to feel local while walking through the market with all the hustle and bustle. Definitely worth the stop, though I would highly recommend using the restroom either before or after visiting Pikes Place as the lines to enter the few public restrooms were insanely long.

This was a very cool attraction in Seattle! It’s very packed but I loved the smell of fresh produce and sea food. Lots of places to see around the market with plenty of vendors to check out. There’s also a little alley directly next to the market where people have been putting up gum on the walls for year. It’s another popular attraction in the area and the city makes sure to keep it checked before it gets too messy! If you’re visiting Seattle I would recommend this market for sure in your itinerary.

Lively atmosphere. From fresh seafood and handmade crafts to quirky shops and street performers, there's something for everyone. The flying fish at the seafood stalls are a fun and iconic experience.

An immense and majestic ship. Sadly, the Missouri is no longer here, as many people in Bremerton complained about 30 years ago, when it moved back to Hawaii, but this is nonetheless a brilliant ship to have here, attachment to the legacy of the United States Navy and the sheer artistry of building a grand colossus for the water. Spend enough time here to get a sense of scale. It is obvious without needing to be stated on a ship like this is big, but only by truly exploring it does one get a sense of how immense it truly is, how it operates like a little city, a beacon of movement and life amidst the vast dark seas. I also greatly appreciate the gift shop, which is reasonably priced and quite comprehensive. I always have trouble buying the right gifts for my dad, but I found the perfect Father's Day mementos for him here, as he adores naval history and is the one who first got me interested in the power and the beauty of ships like this.

I thought the self guided tour was great. There are docents available to answer any questions. The displays were helpful and much of the ship was open to tour.

Friendly ans knowledgeable volunteers on the boat to answer questions, including some who spent a few years on the boat during its active duty time. It's well laid out self-guided tour ensures you don't miss anything and you really get a feel for life on the boat.

If you enjoy history and the military then it’s a must! My wife found it as we took a ferry from Seattle to Bremerton and then decided to drive around back to Seattle. Not crowded at all and a lot to learn especially the mechanical and engineering parts of it. Didn’t have time to see all of it as I needed to return my rental so I will need to revisit hopefully.

If you're in Bremerton WA, you have got to stop by this Ship/Museum. It is a self guided tour. There is some mild walking and climbing if you want to see everything. I learned alot here. Gift shop is top notch as well. You won't be sorry you stopped here on your way through.

The Museum of Glass in Tacoma is a unique experience! One of the highlights is watching glassblowing in action inside the Hot Shop. The demonstrations are narrated by an emcee, with plenty of explanations and even some Q&A, so you actually learn while being entertained. They also feature stunning works by Dale Chihuly, which are worth the trip on their own. Admission is $22, and the gift shop is full of gorgeous glass blown pieces that make great souvenirs. If you’re short on time, this is a doable stop, it’s a relatively small museum and you can probably breeze through the exhibits in about an hour or two. Don’t miss the outdoor glass sculptures, which is a prominent piece of outdoor art at the Museum of Glass. They’re striking and make for a great photo op with the waterfront in the background

Fabulous glass museum with reasonable parking right underneath the museum. Loved the hot shop demo though could have used better narration. Exhibits were small though super high quality and well curated. The design of the building with all the light coming in added to an awesome experience. Liked the fountain outside. Well worth waking up the steps to visit the bridge of glass across to Union Station which is now a courthouse with beautiful Chihuly pieces. It’s free to get into Union station after showing your ID. Museum of Glass is well worth a visit and has fabulous pieces and a great gift shop. The alley exhibit with kids pieces is so worth a visit as well.

I just visited the Museum of Glass, and wow, it completely exceeded my expectations! Everyone always talks about the Hot Shop, and now I totally get it. Watching those glassblowers work was absolutely mesmerizing – seeing them transform molten glass with such precision and artistry was truly incredible. I could have spent hours just captivated by that. Beyond the demonstrations, the entire museum is a feast for the eyes. The current exhibitions were fantastic, showcasing such a diverse range of contemporary glass art from various artists. I particularly loved how the light played off the pieces, creating these ever-changing reflections. And the building itself, with its unique cone structure and the beautiful Chihuly Bridge of Glass, is an artwork in its own right. It’s such a well-designed space that really complements the art. Plus, I found the interactive elements and educational displays surprisingly engaging. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone, whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking for something fascinating and visually stunning to do.

We were concerned that the museum would be as nice because of the art fest but even with loads of people there it didn't feel crowded. We enjoyed the glass blowing exhibition. Loved walking the bridge and enjoying the Chihuly pieces enclosed across the highway. The galleries were filled with amazing sculptures and vases. Just beautiful!

This was a great place to go to. We popped into the show room to watch some art being created. It was really hot and it was a hot day in June. We walked the gallery and enjoyed the art work. The cafe food was a bit pricey. We decided to eat somewhere else. Nice clean, and quiet The kids were not so entertained.

Good variety of artists, and quite a few pieces that I genuinely liked! The hallway to the restrooms featured works prompted by kid's sketched proposals, and it was delightful! Parking was ok too.

Very classic & elegant cars on display, in beautiful condition! The information plaques provided allowed for a quick glance of info or the opportunity to scan a QR Code for a video with more details. I highly recommend a walker or wheelchair for those with limited mobility. My family was able to sit for breaks on each level, & enjoyed watching the short video in the small theater. The Kid Zone is neat & informative-but not the main purpose of this museum. Very clean, & friendly environment. We will be looking to visit with the next rotation of cars on exhibit.

It’s amazing how many vehicles and how big this Location is. Staff is friendly. We ended up getting the yearly membership as it included the art museum and another museum. We will definitely be back even though we spent an hour and a half there we felt like we needed to go back and take a look again as there’s just so much to see. It’s amazing to see the selection of vehicles they have and what great shape they’re in This is a one-of-a-kind place and I’m surprised it took us that long to finally make a trip to this location . Kids of all ages loved it and there’s also a bike there from the 1800s . We did not get to go and try the café as it was closed on Labor Day. Next time we go, we will stop here and then stop at the glass museum in Tacoma . Time well spent and will be back again.

Unique Fashion Event at a Stunning Venue 🛍️🛍️ Visited LeMay - America’s Car Museum for the Fashion District event on August 16–17, and it was absolutely worth it! The venue is incredible surrounded by stunning luxury cars that made the whole experience even more special. The event had designer fashion booths, great networking opportunities, and even tasty sandwiches to enjoy while exploring. It was the perfect mix of fashion, food, and fantastic cars a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend this venue not only for car enthusiasts but also as a unique spot for hosting fashion shows, exhibitions, and other creative events!

I love coming here every year! Always nice to see their current collection and view their new exhibits. The staff are always so friendly and engaging. Its nice to see the same kind of passion I share for automobiles as the employees here that feel and live off the same energy and vibe I get when I am around cars! I will definitely be coming here at least once a year!

If you are a car guy, like I am, this is the place for you! In the mid-1990s, Harold and Nancy LeMay were having something of a car problem. Namely, the housing of a collection which had reached 3000 vehicles. Ultimately, a museum was built and is open for everyone to visit and view Mr. Lemay's collection of awesome vehicles. The building is directly next to Tacoma, WA's, Tacoma Dome. Multiple floors that are each full of some of the most exotic vehicles in which to view.

This is a fantastically curated car museum. The signage is easy to read and detailed. Plus, on their bottom floor, they have a family play area where you can race toy cars, trace and color model cars, learn about renewal energy sources, and more. Will definitely revisit again.

A real delight for car lovers. I loved it. I thought I would be able to explore it in a short time, but it took me 4 hours. All the floors were full of cars of all kinds. There were even entertainment options for children. It was worth it. I recommend it.

Can't recommend this place enough. Feels more like a state or national park, rather than a local park. The woods here are an excellent hiking spot. You really feel like you're escaping the city. Great views of the water, islands, and bridge. Owen Beach is beautiful and very clean. Free entry! Unbelievable value. 👍

A great spot for launching our boat to fish and explore. It can get busy, especially on holidays. Overall, it's a lovely location with a beautiful park and fun playground for everyone. Enjoy the outdoors!

Super cool place to come to , Owen’s beach is amazing. Check out the kayak rentals super easy , launch right from the beach , pretty calm water to take the kids. Playground for all the ones that like the land. Wonderful views.

This park was truly gorgeous with a few different trails that were some ups and some Downs, we walked over 6 miles. follow the signage, stay away from cliff edges and you will end up with an amazing hike. There are bathrooms in porta potties, a small zoo, different gardens that are all just gorgeous and many many places to picnic. it is dog friendly so take your fur babies 😊

Point Defiance Park is one of the best outdoor spots I’ve visited in the Tacoma area. The hiking trails are well-maintained, quiet, and surrounded by gorgeous forest. I even spotted a deer during my walk — such a cool and unexpected moment! The views of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the Gig Harbor were amazing, and the fresh air and natural setting make it a perfect place to relax or get some exercise. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys nature and easy-to-moderate hikes. There are plenty of signs to help you navigate, and the air feels fresh and clean — a perfect break from city noise. Whether you’re into hiking, photography, or just want to stroll through nature, Point Defiance is a must-visit in the Tacoma area. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a beautiful place, but I had a very frustrating experience during my first visit on Labor Day 2025. I entered the park and parked near the rose garden. The info booth was closed, and I couldn’t find any maps. Naturally my cell service was crap and google maps was no help. I wandered around and kept running into trail and road closures. I was trying to walk to the aquarium but couldn’t figure out how to get there from where I was. It was fenced off and didn’t seem like I could walk there. When I finally spoke to someone I was told I’d had to leave the park and follow a bunch of detour signs and re-enter a mile or so away. I wish I would have known that before getting dropped off. At first glance I thought it was one big accessible park that I could walk through, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Wasn’t apparent when I did my planning, so I ended up leaving. The pond near the rose garden also needs to be aerated. Duckweed has completely ruined it. The small Japanese and rose gardens were really pretty, however.

What a wonderful experience! I had friends from Australia visiting and wanted to give them the experience of seeing some of the amazing animals here in the PNW. We went on one of the guided tours in the Free Roam area and were able to observe many of the local residents. Our guide was amazing, incredibly knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. It is obvious that the caretakers take pride in what they do and they do it well. The park itself is clean and well maintained. The enclosures are also clean and well maintained, and measures had been put in place for the animals to cool themselves (we visited on a hot summer day.) The paths around the park are paved and fairly easy to navigate, although there are some inclined areas that individuals with mobility aids may need assistance navigating. Should you visit during the summer, or on a weekend, be prepared for there to be a lot of children. If you'd like a quieter visit, I recommend going during the school year on a weekday. Northwest Trek is truly a gem in the Pacific Northwest and an experience that feels both adventurous and educational from start to finish. The highlight of our visit was hands down the tram tour. It was not only relaxing and comfortable but also incredibly informative. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, pointing out different animals along the way while sharing fun facts and deeper insights into their behaviors, habitats, and conservation efforts. Watching bison, moose, elk, and other wildlife roaming freely in such a large natural setting felt like stepping into their world, and it was fascinating to see them so close in a way that felt authentic and respectful. The entire park itself is beautifully maintained—clean, safe, and thoughtfully laid out. Walking through the different areas, it was clear how much care goes into keeping the grounds well-manicured and welcoming. Each habitat was designed with the animals in mind, and the variety is impressive: from native predators like cougars, wolves, and bears to smaller but equally interesting creatures like beavers, otters, and owls. Every corner offered something new to discover. Another pleasant surprise was the pricing. For the quality of the experience—especially considering the tram tour is included—the admission felt very fair. It’s rare to find a park that balances affordability with such a high standard of care, education, and presentation. Northwest Trek is the kind of place you can enjoy whether you’re coming as a family, couple, or even solo. It’s both entertaining and enlightening, and I left with a deeper appreciation for Pacific Northwest wildlife. Absolutely worth the trip and highly recommended.

This is a great place to get out in nature. For kids to see real natural settings, where and how animals live, is wonderful. We have a family pass and plan to go often. For kids, they have a great real natural play area for all they're extras energy. You can spend a few hours with your own lunch or eat from they're Cafe, it's convenient and pretty good. Even hard ice-cream, if the kids eat a good lunch. Good Times

Such a wonderful place to see animals. It was raining so some were not out, which i dont blame them. Rode the tram learned alot about the place and how it started. Such a beautiful place. Very clean and the animals looked healthy. The Eagles were magnificent 👌. The owls, bears, and wolf just amazing.

This is a true Pacific Northwest treasure! It's a great showcase of Northwest and native North American wildlife. The walk-through portion of the park is family friendly and engaging (especially the Bear walk portion). The Wild Drive is a great experience, too! When the free roaming animals are out, it is a great way to see such majestic creatures up close. The park staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Allow a few hours if you are planning to see both the walking path portion of the park and to do the Wild Drive (highly recommended). A fun day for everyone!

Incredible. Beautiful. One of a kind experience. Kid friendly. Great and knowledgeable staff. Family will love this and there are tons of animals to see. I loved the shuttle bus ride which was additional to the entrance fee, but it was well worth it. The reserve is smaller, but very beautiful

Went on a 2-hour Photo Tour and was not disappointed!! Saw Swans; Roosevelt Elk; Black-tail Deer; Mountain Goats; Bison; and MOOSE!! They have caribou as well but we did not see them… There are 4 people max in the Photo Tour and it was fun to stop and take pics of the aforementioned!! Afterwards, you can go through the rest of the park that had a Cougar; a Bobcat; and a Lynx; Eagles; Black and Grizzly Bears; Badgers; Wolverines; Grey Wolves; Otters and Beavers…. A fun place to enjoy wildlife that has been rehabilitated but are not able to return to the forest… The park is really nice and clean; there’s a gift shop with lots of stuff (and t-shirts) for kids and adults alike… Nice place to take the family!! A little limited in the cafe, this November, but offer more during the Summer.

One of my favorite spots around here! Nisqually Wildlife Refuge is pure magic—especially on a sunny day after a storm. I went expecting just some fall colors, but was blown away by thousands of birds flying overhead—what a sight! I arrived around 12:30 pm and couldn’t believe my luck. Only $3 to enter (free with the America the Beautiful Pass), and the trails are very well maintained—no dogs allowed, so no worries about stepping in dog poop. The Nisqually Wildlife Refuge has about 4 miles of loop trails

This place is special.. how lucky we are to be able to easily move through a place like this without even getting our feet wet. The walk out to the point on the water is 2 miles, no elevation gain, part wide gravel path, part boardwalk and fully exposed 3/4 of the way there. Alternatively, you can take a shadier boardwalk-path from the gift shop/restrooms through the forest in a .75 mile circle.

Easy access, nice well capped wooden boardwalk going way out into the marsh. There are two main hikes - one out and back and one loop. It was very busy when we were there in a little bit tight for parking. Ranger told us they don't check the cars for passes but carry yours with you. There's a pay station but they also accept America the beautiful passes, etc. it's Federal level so your state pass won't be accepted. We definitely enjoyed the visit!

One of our favorite walks near Olympia / Lacey, it's a wonderful experience at any time of year or tide with a mile long boardwalk over the Nisqually estuary. On clear days you can see the Olympic Mountains, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Mt Rainier. It's a changeable landscape with different bird and animal sightings each time. Be prepared for hotter summer and colder winter conditions than you might expect for this area.

Great Walk to do it with the family nice wooden boardwalk and view points especially where the waterfront is. It has a wooded pathway which is pretty far great place to let your kiddos run crazy. Their is also lots of different birds so you will see some people doing so really good bird watching.

This place is a great place for a calm walk, there is usually not many people and it is mostly quiet. The wildlife is always a cool look as there are many different kinds of birds. Overall it is a good visit if you are interested in the area and are looking for a nice walk, just remember there are no dogs allowed, no running and don’t feed the animals.

An incredible place to learn about the connection between river, estuary, and Puget Sound ecosystems. The boardwalk lets you walk right out over restored tidal wetlands where fresh and saltwater mix — a perfect example of successful habitat restoration. Interpretive signs along the way explain the wildlife, plant life, and cultural history of the Nisqually Delta, including the legacy of Billy Frank Jr. and the Medicine Creek Treaty. We loved seeing great blue herons, eagles, and flocks of shorebirds feeding on the tide flats. It’s both peaceful and educational — a living classroom that shows why preserving these habitats matters.

I would've gave the room a five star, but I feel like the quality of the room was definitely worth the price that I pay for it in the fall season as a matter of fact, it's a great deal, but the price is in the summer. I feel are definitely overpriced. The rooms don't meet the qualifications to charge that much and the couch beds are super uncomfortable. But the actual beds are really comfortable. They do leave plenty of towels in the room for showering. The rooms are very clean and then employees were friendly. We love going to the great lodge. We always have a good time. We've never done anything else there except the waterpark never went on the one adventure we played in the game room usually we're going out there on a budget so strictly for the waterpark, but it's worth it. Oh yeah, let me not. Forget, we did eat at the indoor pizza spot. Don't remember the name it's right before you walk into the waterpark. Their chicken wings were humongous definitely worth it.

The water slide Tornado was SOOOO amazing!! Genuinely my FAVORITE water slide in the world! That was probably the only real highlight as an adult for the water park section, however. The other slides were short and lacked thrill. The only other section besides waterslides you can do as an adult would be the wave pool, which was awesome, I just wish there were more options besides one thrilling slide and a wave pool. The power went out twice during our visit, but the place had generators. The two big slides were left out of service for roughly 20 minutes due to the power outage however. The fans by the slides were off, causing the top of the slides as you wait in line to be miserably humid! We were dripping sweat and unable to catch our breath for around 5 minutes due to the pure heat and humidity. Prices for only spending the later half of the day, 4pm-8pm were a bit high, with the amount we spent on a locker and the half day pass for both of us t would've only cost my partner and I 10$ more to have spent the night. Buffet was also 33$ EACH to participate in for dinner, with pizzas being around 20-25$ as well. You can also howl down stairs at the shop for free wolf ears! So fun! Overall, we did love it and will be returning!

We came celebrating our granddaughters 5th birthday. We had a leak in our toilet and they had to move us to another room. The greatest part was that they upgraded us to their biggest room due to the inconvenience. What a pleasure it was to stay, celebrate and enjoy all the amenities. Water park was so much fun. If you haven't checked this place out, trust me it's worth the drive to Grand Mound. Thank you again for the hospitality. We will be back for sure!

We didn't receive service the first day, we texted the front desk and they offered to bring anything we needed, they told us service would be 10-2pm. The next day we didn't receive service, I was livid. I visited the front desk and mentioned in the text chain nobody informed me I needed to request service or how to do so. That being said, the manager spoke with us, mentioned it was written on a form we were given on check in. As fastidious as I consider myself reviewing details, I had not reviewed this note and it was in fact written on it. The manager kindly offered a food discount, we graciously accepted. We requested a crib the first night, late, and it came within minutes. They brought us towels we needed in minutes as well. The food was very good, everyone was very helpful, our daughters absolutely loved the pool. I am so impressed how they handled the situation. We really did have a fabulous weekend trip, we look forward to coming back!

This place is old and the only reason you go is to hang out in a water park when the weather is not so great in the p&w for doing things outside. If you can't stay here with a coupon in Voyager points, it's not worth it. If you try to reschedule or move your dates. Once you purchase dates they will charge you an inflated rate as now it is closer to the time of your stay. Even if you are booking at a time that is not High volume. If you can even get somebody on the line to reschedule your stay they will charge you about 100$ to move your booking and if you cancel you will be charged about $60. On the website it says you get a full refund but that's not true. I was trying to reschedule and then just cancel it is 3weeks prior to my stay. The best way to do this is to know exactly when you're going to stay. Don't change your bookings and the further out you can book it the cheaper. The rate is if you change your booking closer to your actual stay, they will charge you to change your booking and they will also charge you an inflated rate. As now the time of your stay is closer to when you're changing your booking. This is not stated anywhere except for in the FAQ which is on a tab on a different page. Way buried so be warned. I just tried to change my three night booking and it went from 500 bucks to almost 700 bucks and I had already given them a hundred essentially for a deposit. They wanted another $200 just to change my dates and the inflated cost would have been an additional three at the time of check-in. So $400 stay turned into somehow $800 nine after taxes. This place is real tricky and the customer service is not good. I had to wait for 2 hours on the phone just to talk to somebody that I could understand. The original person I spoke to was mumbling. I couldn't even understand him and then when we got off the phone instead of letting me do the survey they hung up on me. Imagine that.

We were excited to go shortly after they remodeled the lodge this summer. We got there before check in to enjoy the water park and started with lunch at the fireside restaurant. The server was friendly but everything was extremely slow. We were excited to get into our room after the water park where the advertise new mattresses, etc. The mattresses were AWFUL. You would think for how much it costs to stay there, they would have decent mattresses. Over half the staff was less then friendly and looked absolutely miserable being there. I am not sure if we will be back.

This was not a good experience. Our room door stopped working, and maintenance had to come unlock it. We waited a long time outside our room for them to arrive, and although they reprogrammed the lock and said it should work again, it failed a second time after we returned from the pool. I went to the front desk, which had a long line and only one person working. A lifeguard actually ended up helping the most—he tracked down a supervisor for me when no one else did. Maintenance came again, unlocked our door, and moved us to another room—but we had to wait even longer because the first maintenance worker couldn’t get the door open, and they had to call someone else. Our new room was in terrible shape. The bathtub leaked badly, the sink faucet kept falling off, the wall trim was detached and lying on the floor, and the dresser looked like it had been chewed by a dog, the lotion bottle was coming off the wall, paint chipping in tons of places that looked so trashy. To make things worse, the power went out during a storm, and they shut down the slides. We received a text saying they would notify guests when the slides reopened. Since we were already headed downstairs, we decided to spend some time in the wave pool while we waited. When we got there, the slides were actually open again—but we didn’t get the “slides are open” text until an hour later. What about all the people who left and were waiting for that message? Such a waste of time. When we tried to leave the next morning, our wristbands wouldn’t open the exit gate, and we had to go back to the service desk yet again. For the price they charge, this place should be in much better condition and better managed. Extremely disappointing experience. PS- a friend of ours stayed here two weeks ago with her family. They also got locked out of their room, and the youngest daughter got a face rash she had to get a prescription for. Wish we would have talked to them before going on our trip.

This visitor center is a good place to start if you’re coming down from the north side on I-5. The very welcoming staff at the information desk can help you plan your visit. The outdoor area, an accessible .6 mile trail and restrooms, are free to the public. Indoors, a small but well curated museum is open with $5 admission. Kids 6 and under are free, but honestly the material is best suited for grades 3 and up.

We arrived at the perfect time—just before three large buses of visitors pulled in! That gave us a peaceful window to explore the lakeside trail and take in the views before heading into the interpretive center and gift shop. The staff here are always so friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell they’re passionate about the area and its history. We appreciated how accessible everything was, and parking was a breeze when we arrived around 1:30 PM. The center itself offers a great blend of information, interactive displays, and a well-curated gift shop. It’s a great stop for anyone wanting to learn more about the 1980 eruption, local ecology, and the mountain’s ongoing story. Highly recommend timing your visit mid-afternoon if you want to avoid the crowds

I remember coming here as a child and have fond memories of seeing the displays and especially the "lava hole". Coming back as an adult, I remember how awesome the facility is and building is! Very cathedral like and awesome hand carved reliefs around the structural posts. Cool Japanese tile throughout. It's no wonder this is the most or one of the most visited Park centers in Washington. I got to help with some exibits and it was an honor to be there. Well worth the visit.

A cute little visitor center and museum for Mount St. Helens. We went on a rainy day so it was pretty empty. Grabbed a few souvenirs and walked through the wetlands behind the center. It was a beautiful and easy loop and made the stop worth it!

No pass was needed for the visitor centers we stopped at, there is electronic pay meter for the picnic area and boat ramp at Coldwater Lake, can use America The Beautiful pass for these areas. Bountiful information and hands on activities even the kids will enjoy! Go in the theaters and watch the show giving insight into the eruption. The road to Johnston Ridge is closed due to washed out bridge and roadway, says repairs may be done by 2027 or 2028. We were here on a cloudy day so could not see the Crater. This was at the science and exploration center for Coldwater Lake. Beautiful views and easy drive even towing our 5th wheel RV.

A great place to start your visit to Mount Saint Helens Volcanic Monument. There are historic descriptions of the indigenous First Nations that populated the area, scientific displays, educational movies, and a comprehensive exploration of the events leading up to the May 18, 1980 eruption.

Wonderful visitor center with an awesome information exhibit. Small entrance fee to see the display, but worth the price as it was like a museum of Mt St Helens history. Loved seeing and reading about all the volanco history.

Recently participated in a hike into the crater with MSHI, and the entire experience was fantastic. The guide staff was very passionate, knowledgeable, and attendant to our safety while climbing. Outside of actually climbing into the crater, the staff provided a very comfortable camping experience, with just the right mix of 'roughing it' and creature comforts. I felt the whole experience was a great value especially given the campfire songs led by guided, Sarah and Sierra! Thanks, HSMI. Oh yeah, they fed us REALLY well, too.

A Washington Icon! Everyone knows the story, but to really understand the damage, even 40 years later, you have to visit for yourself. I highly recommend the Ape Canyon Trail, it snakes along the mudflow from the eruption along the SE side of the mountain.

Worth visiting this national monument! The observatory has a lot if info and a great video. The views of the mountain are incredible.

Setting aside land for a National Monument is a big deal. It means that future generations can see the setting in a mostly untouched state of being. There's much to see and experience in this area where mountain meets mankind.

I recently did the Awesome Hike and it's very appropriately named… it was AWESOME! It was a great hike and I learned so much more about the history of the mountain and the eruption. This was my second time to hike with the MSHI guides (the first being the Summit Climb) and once again, it was a great experience! The guides’ knowledge, their friendliness, the pace, the accommodations made for individual needs.... all of it… they were AMAZING! The guides are there to ensure you have the best experience possible and a successful one too! While you’re enjoying the hike/climb, you’re also getting an education. I can’t say enough positive things about these guided hikes and climbs. I just signed up for another one in September - the Glacier Overlook Hike – and I’ll definitely be looking for more in the future!

We visited Vista House during Memorial Day weekend while touring the Columbia River Gorge and its many breathtaking waterfalls. This unique building stood out amidst the forested surroundings—almost like a beacon overlooking the Gorge. It’s a striking and unusual stop, and the panoramic views from here are absolutely spectacular. Parking, like many places along the Gorge, was definitely a challenge—especially during the busy holiday weekend. That said, it’s worth being patient and circling a bit if needed. There is a small parking lot, but it fills up quickly. Just be mindful that the roads along the Historic Columbia River Highway (Highway 30) are very narrow and winding. Drive carefully and take your time—this route is far more scenic than taking I-84 and adds to the overall experience. If you’re planning to see the waterfalls in the area, Vista House makes for a perfect stop along the way. Take in the views, snap some photos, and enjoy the historic charm of this little gem perched above the Columbia River.

It's the best place to observe the area. It's 3-5 miles inland from the main road. The historic road (Route Historic 30) is incredibly beautiful. Just driving down that road was a real pleasure. Inside the building, there's information about the region's history. There's also a gift shop, restrooms, and a small grocery store. You can get coffee, etc. But what makes it special is its location. There's no need to go there for the building itself.

This was a great place to stop along the way to Multnomah Falls. There was a rainbow in the distance. The view of the gorge was one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. Oregon is such a beautiful state. There was gift shop and cheap coffee in the lower level of the lookout building. Upper floor observatory was closed.

Great place to visit! We took a tour, and the Vista House was our first stop. It’s quite a long drive up, but the incredible view makes it totally worth it. The building has a restroom in the basement, a gift shop, and a coffee shop. You’ll find yourself taking lots of pictures because the scenery from up here is breathtaking. I imagine it must be even more beautiful at night when all the lights are glowing.

The park Ranger was a highlight here. He caught my husband and I geocaching and even gave us a tip on another one in the area! The Vista House was magical. It so neat how something so old is still in working/visiting condition! From the ceilings to the charming bathrooms, it was impressive. The views were something to take in as well. It’s a marvel how places like this exist in the USA.

It's a beautiful area and a great place to take great photos. Due to a rock slide, the main road to get there was closed so we had to go via the Bridal Veil exit but it was well worth the drive.

Gorgeous view of the river valley, but the structure itself isn’t always open. BEWARE on super windy days, it can be dangerous to your hats and your less stable elder and infant relatives.

What a peaceful meditative oasis! There is clearly some special energy here, transplanted by the artisans from Suzhou China who crafted the design and contents of this garden. We especially loved the tea house with an impressive variety of teas and baked goods, with tables overlooking the picture perfect lake and garden. The gift shop is also well stocked with a wide variety of items. I can totally see spending hours just quietly reading or soaking in the special special ambience of this meditative space.

Beautiful Chinese Garden, the tea house here is one of the best I’ve been to in the States! It’s so well done, it transports you to a whole new place. Spent a good couple of hours here just sipping tea, walking around the gardens and being in Zen mode.

Beautiful, peaceful garden. We were here on a Sunday, and they weren't offering guided but had a QR code that we scanned that provided audio that guided you through. That was informative, and nice that we could pause in between each segment to stop and really take in the scenery. We stopped at the tea house and the Jasmine Pearl tea was absolutely perfect.

What a beautiful hole in the wall place to visit! Lots of good photo op places and felt very culturally grounding for all races, especially if you’re Chinese. Reminded me of my roots, the koy fish pond right in the center was impressive and having the tea house to enjoy some cold tea on a hot day like today was amazing. Top tier decor and ambiance. So glad I came to visit this garden. The area outside the garden may be a little sketch but we have not encountered anything negative especially during the daytime, it’s ok. Metered street parking.

Very beautiful complex that has regular tours and a great tea house in the back. The beverages and snack were delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Highly recommend for folks looking to do some work or for a few hours of calm leisure!

This place is amazing. It has it all Nature, atmosphere, culture, and refreshments. The landscaping is breathtaking, And it's full of learning opportunities and experiences. I highly recommend the tea House. This is a great place to spend a day. I highly highly recommend it.

It is peaceful and beautiful to walk in nature. I learned there is a 9-11 tribute rose. The variety is amazing. I came in late October when the smell wasn't so strong. Many flowers were hanging on their last breath. But it was a nice cloudy day and I enjoyed walked the park alone. They have a few trails you can walk but I wasn't properly dressed. Had I known I would have brought running shoes.

We had such an amazing time walking around and seeing/smelling the Rose Test Garden! I highly recommend timing your visit so you can join the free tour that begins at the gift shop. It is really lovely and points out historical facts about the garden and the different roses there. The gift shop is small, but has some great things in there. You'll do quite a bit of walking in the Rose Test Garden, so make sure you're wearing comfortable shoes! Parking can be tricky, but be patient and a spot will open up.

first time visit with my friends and we really enjoyed our time- i think we just walked around smelling and admiring the roses for at least an hour and a half. i had no idea there were so many kinds of roses. it is so well maintained and beautiful with a rich history and a staple of portland. please visit! be sure to check if you will be there when the roses are blooming. we were there in early october and there were still plenty of beautiful roses to see

What an incredible garden to stroll around and be amazed at the variety of roses with every turn. I went 10/28/25, so it was fall season and the leaves on the trees brought magic to this oasis on top of the hill. I spent more time venturing over to the Sacajawea Statue, Lewis & Clark column, then over to Coming of the White Man Statue and through the Holocaust area. If you are looking for a place of solitude and serene views, then check this park out.

Went exploring and car across this place. It was amazing. The flowers were still in bloom even though we went pretty late in the season. Very clean and it smelled so wonderful. Will definitely be making this one of my regular walks

Wow. I’ve been to quite a few rose gardens and none are this large. Even in late Oct there were still lots of blooms. I can’t imagine the smell in summer. Plan for at least an hour if you want to see the whole thing. We loved stopping and smelling the roses 🥰

This place was great and so pretty. Out of the hundreds, I mean hundreds of roses I saw there wasn't one blue one....a bit disappointed. Lol Steady amount of people enjoying the day. Parking I'd say wasn't hard to find but it wasn't easy either. Nice day people can be the all day. The parking price wasn't bad in my opinion, considering where I come from and pay to park. Well kept up and beautiful.

The gardens are absolutely beautiful. Very well maintained and clean, including the restrooms. There are many photo ops all around the grounds with a fantastic view of Portland with Mt. Hood in the background. There are memberships available for single and multiple on line and at the window and gift shop. If you purchase from the gift shop your entry fee is refunded and it affords you entry for a year and a 20% discount in the gift shop. It's definitely worth the trip. My only issue was with the parking. Not great but there is a free shuttle that goes around.

Fantastic visit to this Japanese garden. Our first time visiting Oregon from the UK and thiz was high one our list of things to see - and it didnt disappoint. The planting, pathways and structures looked fantastic. It was busy but not overly so and everything was well maintained. Food in the cafe was great as well. Plenty of nearby car parking and short queues to enter.

This is such an amazing and magical place. We visited during the fall and were blessed with beautiful fall foliage. Be sure to get the earliest timed entry tickets and arrive 30 minutes before opening to ensure you get parking. The first 5 minutes is a slight incline, but the rest of the gardens are relatively flat. Go, you won’t be disappointed. Are,sure you get timed entry

Breathtaking Gardens, But Be Prepared for the Wait We visited the Portland Japanese Garden about a week ago—absolutely stunning this time of year. The colors were unreal, and we couldn’t have timed our visit better. Every turn of the path was like stepping into a painting: moss-covered stones, fiery red maples, and soft autumn light filtering through the trees. Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. We had an 11:15 a.m. tour booked and arrived an hour early, paid for parking, and went to get our tickets—only to be told there was a two-hour wait to enter. The website hadn’t mentioned this possibility, so our only choices were to wait around for two hours or leave, come back later, and pay for parking again. The staff seemed well-prepared for this kind of situation, which tells me it’s a common issue, but it would make a huge difference if visitors were better informed ahead of time. Thankfully, our visit happened on a Bank of America “Museums on Us” day, so admission was free, which softened the blow. Once inside, the frustration faded away—these gardens truly deserve five stars. But the lack of clear communication at the start left a disappointing first impression. Go for the beauty, but plan ahead for crowds and wait times.

Second time visiting the Japanese Gardens and was just as blown away by it's beauty, as was the first time. 1 almost didn't get the chance to visit, however, I thought I would walk around before catching my flight back to SoCal. It was a Sunday and arrived right before opening and there was already a massive line to get in. You can get tickets beforehand and 1 highly recommend doing so because it fills up quickly! Since was pressed for time, I decided to purchase a membership and bypass the 2.5 hour wait time and 1 am so glad 1 did! (Quick side-note if you have a membership you can access the gardens at 8 a.m., 2 hours before the general public and for the photographers out there this is an ideal time to capture images without having volumes of people walking into your frame...additionally tripods are allowed for a minimal cost). Walking around the gardens is absolutely breathtaking and especially going in the fall when the autumn colors are in full swing! You can literally spend a good half day here as there is so much to take in and 1 do recommend allowing for at least a few hours at a minimum.

It’s a good garden and well maintained. The Japanese theme has been carefully curated and does match actual Japanese gardens we’ve seen quite well. Truly could be a thoughtful and quiet place for people. The buildings and facilities match in well. Good use of wood in the architecture. The only thing that put us off was the price. Did feel steep for adults. The area can feel quite small and constraining when a large number of people visit. Yes they try to manage a steady throughput but it has its busy areas.

A beautiful place with amazing history. Amazing bonsai. Fantastic water features. Lovely resting places. Clean. Peaceful. Definitely recommend getting the membership. With a membership you can go before and after public hours. Visit during special moments, or get notified of special moments. The staff are friendly. The location is reasonably handicap accessible for the most part. Near the International Rose Test Gardens; an awesome duo trip if you have time. Nice little cafe with fancy treats and tea. Nifty place to stop after walking around. The gift shop is cute. The art galleries and learning experiences are really fun as well.

I've been here twice now as a guest of a annual pass holding zoo member. Delightful each time. Animals appear to be in great shape and have gorgeous habitats. They even accommodated for my service animal with no issues providing a special map to help guide through the zoo. I really enjoy coming here. And with the Rose garden and many other things connected around the zoo it's a lovely place to hang out for the day.

The Portland Zoo is a great place to visit, and we had a delightful time. The layout makes it easy to walk, but since most of it is concrete, definitely bring good walking shoes. The exhibits are well-designed, the animals look well-cared-for, and there’s a nice variety to see without feeling overwhelming. The grounds are clean, the signage is clear, and the paths are stroller- and kid-friendly. There are plenty of spots to stop, rest, or grab a snack, and the whole place feels well-maintained and thoughtfully organized—a great family outing and absolutely worth the visit.

One of the best zoos I've ever been to. The animals have really nice habitats and look happy. A lot of visible efforts to rehabilitate animals and provide them good care. Tons of different exhibits, and the layout makes it fun and scenic to walk around to each of them. Our favorite was the otters and cougars. Also, TONS of options for food. All the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will be returning. Zoo lights were awesome!

The zoo itself was amazing. The structural aspect of the zoo is great, easy paths to follow that allows you to see all of the animals very easily without confusing path directions and such. The variety of animals is also very good. The Zoo itself has 3 restaurants/cafes all together, so if you do not want to bring food there is plenty to choose from. The grass are by the food options is also great for kids to let go of steam, have a great picnic or just to enjoy a nice break. The only thing I wish the zoo would advertise on their website is which animals are currently not available, as there were many such as the lions, spotted dogs, cheetahs etc that were not available to see due to different reasons. However, all in all is it a great zoo!

Absolutely beautiful park! Loved the mist stations all around to help keep cool on hot days. Only surprise was that the entire park is cashless but you can get a loadable MasterCard for use around the park at a kiosk that takes cash. Animals are VERY well cared for and have nice sized habitats, customized for their species. 10/10 would absolutely love to go again.

The Oregon Zoo is fascinating. Able to fit hundreds of animals, most I can't even show due to the photo limit, Hundreds of activities, hundreds of buildings, & all in such a small area. It's like a theme park with animals. I loved being able to see & interact with so many of them. Things you can't do anywhere else. The whole point of a zoo is to show animals you can't normally see without traveling the world, & to this zoo takes all of that to heart. I'd highly recommend going here often, becoming a zoo-phile...wait-

This is a fantastic outlet with a huge selection of stores and a wide variety of brands—you can find just about anything you’re looking for! The products are great, and the prices are even better. It’s easy to navigate, with convenient access to restrooms and plenty of food options, including Jamba Juice for a quick refresh. There are lots of places to sit and relax when you need a break from shopping. The parking is spacious and easy, and the overall environment is clean, welcoming, and enjoyable. A great place for a day of shopping!

It's not a massive outlet, but it's a decent-sized premium outlet located between Salem and Portland. Whenever visit either city, I always stop by here for shopping. I like that they have kitchenware brands and it's a useful place because can find sports brand items at incredible prices.

Woodburn Premium Outlets is a great place to shop and dine. They have a wide variety of stores and brands to choose from, including Banana Republic, GAP, Coach, Eddie Bauer, Bobadochi, and Disney Store. Had a great time here.

The Woodburn Outlets was such a cute place. It was clean and well maintained. There were inviting stores and friendly shop people. The store that stood out to me was Just Cozy. The shop keeper John was great. Friendly conversation and not just to make a sale. He really cared about customer service and the customer experience. I would definitely check out the store and mall again for sure!!

We visit for a day of shopping every year when we come to Oregon coast for vacation. Love the Kate Spade store here and the Puma Outlet. The employee's are always friendly and helpful. We buy all my teenage sons shoes at the Puma outlet and my husband's shoes at the New Balance store. I love this outlet mall!!! We always get great things at wonderful prices.

07/08/23: I came back to purchase some items and everything was still great. The Adidas store got redesigned with new looks and offers 40% off store wide. The directory at the front is super helpful for visitors like me to quickly search the brands. I enjoyed my visit 06/10/23: this outlet is way better than the ones in Washington. It has a larger parking lot with selections of brands ranging from small, medium to large. There are tons of great deals on different items and especially there are no TAXES. I enjoyed shopping around and will come back in the future

Beautiful place! I like the hiking trails and lodge and nature gift shop. There’s a lot of waterfalls to see and lots miles of hiking available. Beautiful year-round. I like the winter best for the ice blast look from the waterfalls. Fall is wonderful as well.

This is a magnificent state park. With a variety of trails and plenty to see, this is a destination for the entire family. Whether it’s rainy or sunny the trails are perfect for an outing of any length. They are bathrooms in the park is clean and well-maintained. Parking can be a little tough so be patient.

First time at the Silver Falls State Park and I'm definitely going back. This park is huge and filled with waterfalls. And the hiking paths are well defined and well maintained. You do pay for parking but once you start your hike you will understand why. Bring a water bottle I originally was going to hike 2 miles I ended up doing 6 miles. Totally worth it.

An absolute gem that needs to be reserved until the end of time. We went in late October to see the colors and it was amazing. Wind storm was coming in and they were promptly working to clear the roads. The rain and wind gave us the chance to have south falls to ourselves and we captured some amazing images. Truly breathtaking scenery. Only my second visit and there is never enough time. South falls is definitely the prime waterfall experience any traveler could be seeking.

Take a hike along 7+ miles of Silver Creek trails while traversing heavily timbered and fern-lined canyons along 10 different waterfalls, four of which you can walk behind. Return and enjoy the Cafe at South Falls Lodge and the Nature Gift Store. $10 day park fee, camping, cabin resort with restaurant (w/beer/wine). Enjoy

Very well done flight museum! Definitely rivals the one in DC. Fantastic collection including the Spruce Goose, SR-71, F117, F-14, F-15, and many many more. We took 2-1/2 hours but felt slightly rushed to see everything. I recommend reserving a tour if you want to see the whole Goose, otherwise you just get to see the main level from the platform. My only critique is about half of the kids displays were out of order. I know it's a funding issue, but it's what allows the little breaks for the kids so the adults can experience the main points the museum has to offer.

I went about an hour before closing and it was more than enough time to see both the aviation and space museum. The tour guides were helpful and they will help you free of charge. It’s well kept as well and really cool. Plenty of parking and it’s a good walk between the two museums. Definitely recommend! Don’t go when there’s an air show across the street tho it added a couple hours to my trip lol.

We had the best time ever. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful and we learned a ton! The biggest shout out to the volunteer Sylvia, who went out of her way to ensure my kids had a blast. I highly recommend to any and all ages, you will leave knowing more about aviation than when you arrived.

One of my favorite museums I’ve visited. The goose was huge, every plane has interesting information about it, including how it was sourced which I found interesting. The info was very well curated and topical, with relevant ties to oregon when topical. Lots of friendly staff/volunteers around. The blackbird was also very cool to see. I would say 2 hours for the air section and 2 hours for the space section if you want to read everything. But could probably see everything in an hour if youre just peeking around and not reading much. Highly recommend though!

If you’re an aviation lover, this place is literally meant for you. Also, if you even have to ask or think about going to this place, they have the freaking spruce goose on display. It’s crazy to see how massive it is in person. Also, in the other building, they have an SR 71, F117 nighthawk and so many other cool planes on display. As an adult, I was a child admiring history, aviation, and so many cool airplanes all around. I highly highly recommend going out to this facility.

A nice afternoon with a really impressive collection of aircraft and memorabilia. There are tours of the inside of the Spruce goose which is actually made of birch but those are timed so that takes a little planning but if you are ok just seeing the rest it’s really a wonderful few hours! Play structure for the grand boy, theatre for 3D movies and flight sims for people e with a hardy constitution 😃

Always an amazing time walking through the aviation and space history! The volunteers are kind and interestes! They are knowledgeable and want to share stories! Such an amazing place and I hope that the nearby hotel will bring even more people to the museums!

Amazing wines, big bold reds too. Southern hospitality. Real crystal glasses, complimentary cheese boards. McMinnville is a artsy, delicious restaurant and boutique town. The top of the old bank building, now a bar and b and b has the most stunning 360 views. Treat yourself to class, relaxed ambiance.

Place was unexpectedly closing early but locked up even earlier than posted time. When asked if we could ride (there from out of state) the guy said no but was trying to explain why and then some big manly looking female with dark hair came over and inserted herself into the convo. She was very rude and openly confrontational. She definitely needs some de-escalation training or something.

It is a very nice place to visit and wander around. I wish I could revisit this place with my fuel cell car, which could be refueled in 5 min for 400 mile driving range without straining the grid. #hydrogen #fuelcell

A local treasure. All the animals were carved for this carousel. They have a paint and construction area where you can see the work being performed. They also have a nice gift shop. Sometimes they have a fish that swings out and if you get the golden ring, you get a free ride. The playground and park this is located at provides a nice play day. Even the bathrooms are decorated with the carousel theme

What a great place to enjoy a carousel - great condition and very nice gift shop. At the heart of a wonderful park along the Willamette river. Could easily bring the kiddos and make a full day of it!

We came for a birthday party. The room you can rent is pretty tight but you get unlimited carousel rides... for 2 hours only. Between the party, eating, gifts, singing happy birthday, carousel time leaves something to be desired. It should be all day free carousel. My friend did great for her kids' party. I just wouldn't recommend this package, it's not good enough

My kids and I had fun at the carousel. The employees were very nice and friendly. The have carvings on the top sides of the carousel that represent Oregon. They also have a carved Salmon that they occasionally turn out with rings in its mouth and if you grab a gold ring you get a free ride. The gift shop is really nice as well!

The Enchanted Forest has cast its spell on me time and time again - and even after many visits, I still find myself charmed. While the park may be showing a bit of wear these days, the whimsical magic is alive and well, especially through the eyes of a young child. Wander along shaded woodland paths that twist and turn through nursery rhyme vignettes, fairy tale hideaways, and playful surprises. Whether you're sliding down the tongue of a wicked witch or teetering inside the Crooked Man's house, it's impossible not to feel your inner child emerge for a little fun. The haunted house remains a favorite of mine-though parents beware: it delivers genuine chills that might be too intense for the tiniest adventurers. Another highlight is the rustic little western town, where I enjoyed a warm, fresh churro that hit the spot. There are a couple of small eateries scattered about offering quick, simple bites perfect for refueling mid-adventure. Rides (albeit a bit on the spendy side) range from gentle to thrilling. Ice Mountain and the Big Timber log ride will delight older kids and adults alike, while a dedicated children's section keeps the younger ones happily engaged. We visited on the first open Monday of the season and were pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds, giving us a relaxed two-hour window to explore every nook and cranny of the park. I wish I had taken more photos, but I was too engrossed to remember!

Took my grandson who's 12 - will be 13 in October. He had, we had...a blast! My 81 year old mother kept up with us and rode ALL the rides! Love that its right in the middle of the forest. Beautiful. Oh and the food and souvenirs are very reasonable!

Just as much fun as you remembered from when you were a kid. We went the last Saturday it was open in November. Even though lines were long and the park was busy, we were able to do everything we wanted to do. Panning for gold, the storybook trails, and the attention to detail remain the best parts of the park experience. Take your kids for a full day; you won't regret it!

I’ve lived in Oregon my whole life and Enchanted Forest is less than an hour away from me, but this was my very first time walking through the park. There is lots of walking and fun stories and fairytales to walk through. My son was sleeping before we left the parking lot. The park itself is slightly outdated but it has a rustic feel to it. It reminds me of our own little Disneyland and I love every bit of that as well! The food was delicious and the price of food was so reasonable! This place is fun for all ages.

Prices are still great for what you get out of it. The jack and the beanstalk performance in the theater was so sweet, they even selected the girl i was babysitting to go down and participate in it, and she loved it so much. She talked about it all day afterward. Now she did NOT love the log ride 😂 but she was proud of herself for doing it. Loved driving the boats in the old western town, just had such a good time. I will be bringing my kids here just like my parents did.

Absolutely strange place to be, but I love it! It’s mostly little takes on classic fantasy tales, and even though it’s pretty creepy, there is a lot to see. I highly recommend taking a visit here with the mindset to enjoy it ironically, but there are many aspects, like the western town, which I genuinely like to chill around. The food is also very good and reasonably priced for a theme park. If there’s one thing I have to truly critique, it’s access to water. Throughout my entire visit, not once did I encounter a water fountain in the park. The only way to drink water here is if you bring your own water bottle or pay for a $3 water bottle. I haven’t tried asking for a free water cup, but I highly recommend trying for yourself. Overall, this place is a great one to visit if you’re ever in the area. The entrance pricing is reasonable and ride ticket prices are alright. I highly recommend experiencing the bobsled coaster, log flume, haunted house, and Challenge of Mondor shooting dark ride.

The history of this Man and his family, what they have built and continue to run is unbelievably unique and fantastic! Kids and Adults alike..the remote boats..the hidden cave that brings out from underground, to the exceptionally priced food options! The water show the musical.performers..the free yes FREE THINGS to enjoy and look at and stroll along!! Ive been coming here since early 70's brought my kids and now my Grandkids!!
