Central Waters Brewing Co. | Amherst

Brewery
Nightlife
Bars & Clubs
On Saturdays, this brewery hosts tours & opens its taproom for craft beer service.
Central Waters is a must stop on your brewery check list. If you like the beer you have found in stores and pubs this is a new level. They have all their standard selections, 3 of their bourbon barrel varieties, 4 seltzers, but best of all, they have 12 pilot and experimental beers you can only get here. On my trip they were test a new IPA, an imperial double hazy, a rice lager, a black coffee ale, a chai porter, a mosaic pale ale, helles lager, rye lager, a strawberry stout, a Belgian double, oatmeal stout, and a Baltic porter. They also had 5 flagship beers and 4 seasonals on including another helles, a coffee stout, a honey imperial IPA, and a peach tea wheat beer. They had another 7 beers in cans only and they had 4 speciality bombers. Their is no lack of beer to try here and they do a great job. The indoor bar area has an industrial design and sits in the brewery. They also have a decent amount of seating outdoors. This is a great brewery and I believe you will enjoy it as much as I.
Adam D — Google review
Attended an event here and loved the brewery. The room came with drink tokens so we all enjoyed delicious beverages and food the organizer brought in. Plenty of room, great beer, staff was friendly! Has a wonderful time and bought a couple pint glasses on the way out!
Jackie T — Google review
We took the brewery tour & our guide was excellent. The tour was very nice. The bar & merch prices are super reasonable. $4/drink is unheard of! Everything was clean, including the bathroom. I'm not sure how the food situation works, but supposedly you can order food. I would absolutely go back, even though it's a 50 min drive.
Stacey P — Google review
This brewery was recommended to me in 2018. I don't get back "home" very often but this time, I made a trip with no real plans and decided to visit. The flight of beers I had were absolutely amazing! Though, the Octoberfest was a little lacking in body -for my tastes- but still marvelous. The staff was fun and helpful in recommending selections to me. 💯 cannot recommend this place enough.
Matt D — Google review
fantastic brewery out in rural wisconsin. great if you like barrel aged beers, friendly staff, wide selection laid back vibe. just wish they had a kitchen but they have food trucks on the weekend. a must visit spot for craft beer fanatics.
Christopher K — Google review
What a fantastic find. If you’re looking for a brewery in the heart of Wisconsin, look no further. They have SO many beers on tap and canned that it’s hard to choose from. The atmosphere is perfect as they have a ton of room inside and out. There is usually a food truck parked along side the building and there is corn hole outside for family fun. Even the merchandise area is awesome, a lot of options to choose from. The staff that was pretty stellar as well. Overall, great place to spend a summer day/evening!
Christopher V — Google review
Love this out of the way setting. Has beautiful outdoor seating. I highly suggest the mud puppy porter.
Cheryl T — Google review
OK beer. Was looking to buy some bottles to bring home. Staff was completely useless in providing suggestions. Without any guidance I ended up with two bottles for $50, price tags is not a thing anymore apparently. Probably worth it for Central Waters, but that was my first and last visit.

Our family lives down the street and so we stayed at the Inn. What a great decision that was! Owners were accommodating of our early arrival and late return in the evening. The room was so lovely and fit our needs perfectly. Would love to review the food but we didn't eat there -but am sure it is as great as the rest of the experience. Highly recommended!!

They were so nice and helpful! We had a 3 year old in our group snow tubing and they helped us with her, the hill she was on was slick and one of the employees was helping her get back up the hill. Very accommodating. We had a blast as a family and would absolutely go back! We stayed in the Dells and none of the places were open for the season yet so we made the hour and a half drive here and do not regret it at all!!
Autumn B — Google review
Beautiful place. Me and my family loved it! I went with some friends and some of us were beginners for skiing and we got it pretty well because the instructor told us very good tips. I think we had Jason for our instructor. He was really nice and good at teaching. I am definitely going back. Tons of different options for runs and different levels of difficulty. My favorite ones were Lighting and Nordy's Narrows. Recommend especially for beginners. Once you're ready for the chair lift ask them to make it go slower if its your first time. so much fun totally recommend! At the beginning there was like no line but I went on a weekday evening. You should go!
Reagan J — Google review
First time here. Grandkids joined their school ski club. Had a great time!! The staff was all very friendly and very helpful! Small runs. Nothing over 1 black diamond. Unfortunately, a blown out knee kept me from skiing with the kids. I grabbed a bite to eat from their Nordys Bar upstairs. Super friendly bartender. The food was really good, but the fries... wow, best I've had in a very long time!! I had the BLT! Over all...will definitely recommed folks coming out to learn and enjoy a day of skiing! Didn't get over to the tubing area, so cant review it.
Big T — Google review
My wife and I skied here with our 3 grandchildren today. What a wonderful Wisconsin family resort! We spent 5 hours here. Our 4 year old was zipping around the beginner area like Peekaboo Street. The 15 year old was snowboarding all over, the 11 year old was just doing his own thing while I was skiing all over the place trying to give everyone tips. My wife was busy capturing memories on her camera. What a great staff on the hill and in the chalet. Hats off to Nordic Mountain. If you want to bring your children to a great place to learn and enjoy a winter day this would be it. Thank you Nordic Mountain!!
Fee A — Google review
The snow resort was a perfect romantic getaway. We enjoyed cozy atmosphere and stunning views. The snow covered trees and twinkling lights were picturesque. We took some amazing pictures together. Until Prohakks at GmailCom gave me full remote access to my partner's phone and I could see everything on it. Then, I could see myself that she had been cheating on me!
Walters D — Google review
This place is worth the drive out of the way. All the resort's tubing was sold out so made the hour-and-a-half drive. Super fun for everyone. Priced fairly was glad it wasn't busy at all went the whole two hours tubing with no wait. Great customer service great staff. The parking was not as good if I had a drawback. I would recommend this 100 times. 5 star fun
Rustan P — Google review
We had an absolute blast tubing at Nordic Mountain! The whole experience is fantastic. Easy to reserve tickets online and pick up before starting. Once you check in, you have 2 hours of tubing fun (unless you want to go longer.) The bathrooms were clean and the firepit us a nice touch on a cold day. The ride up is a bit wobbly til you get your footing but so nice to not hike up the entire hill. (Note, you do walk a bit to the escalator thing but it's not bad.) We will definitely be returning for more fun and maybe for some skiing (which also looked nice.) It was the best way to spend the last day of my 30's hahaha.
Lindsay S — Google review
We had a great day skiing at Nordic. I have skied at Nordic for 30 years. This is my son's 3rd year. Lots of improvements this year. New boots and helmets! New terrain training area. It was a warm week and they made plenty of snow. There are a variety of slopes for different skill levels. There is a good mix of snowboarders and skiers. The yurt is big and great for warming up. You can bring your own food in the yurt. Inside there are concessions.

Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa

Casino
Casinos & Gambling
Hotel casino with table games, slots & a nonsmoking poker room, plus a lounge & 3 dining options.
I won at the other three casinos we stopped at the day I drove back from Hayward with my friend. I donated my winnings to this one...well I couldn't pull myself away from the machines. It's not them it's me! Had fun and so happy her home was only 20 minutes away!
Lisa M — Google review
The casino is up to date. Lots of fun games. Not easy to win. The bar is nice but it would be nice to have a few tables in the bar area. The food in the restaurant is just okay. It would be nice to offer some gluten free options.
Roseann F — Google review
This is a very fun casino that I visit whenever I have the opportunity. It was especially so, recently because it's been a while since I've been able to make the journey. If you haven't been there in a while yourself, there are many new machines to get acquainted with. 😊
Robin H — Google review
The tall Bartender, was fast. He bought a Reesse's and put a candle in it and sang happy birthday to my mom. Another Bartender, she is never behind the bar. Short with glasses. not impressed. we wont go in if we see her. We will be going back, to play.
Robert — Google review
The food was pretty good. We had an excellent waiter; he made sure everything was good. I got to be the first to try a drink the bartender was making; was very tasty. I do wish they had a buffet, which was what we were originally looking for. I am a big fan of seafood, and not to many places offer a good seafood buffet anymore. A casino offering a seafood buffet would be a hit. Overall, good place to grab a bite to eat.
Julie K — Google review
It is much smaller than the casino in Baraboo but the games are similar and although it was on the weekend that I went there were not too many people so there wasn't any problem finding a parking space and I pretty much could play any game that I wanted to. A stress free enjoyable evening
Belinda N — Google review
Blooming onion, and chili are so good. The cook Anthony was very friendly and professional. Will definitely be back again especially for fish fry.

Sand Valley

Resort hotel
Outdoor Activities
Golf course
Polished seasonal golf resort featuring airy rooms, suites & cottages, plus 2 restaurants & a bar.
Absolutely incredible experience! All five courses were pristine and perfectly maintained, while also challenging. Every course felt like a new adventure, and the scenery was just stunning. This was easily one of the most memorable golf experiences I’ve ever had. From the friendly staff to the beautiful layout, everything was top-tier… especially the food! Can’t wait to come back!
Taylor K — Google review
It's just a couple hours from Green Bay! And worth the drive. Dinner and breakfast service were great! Then the golf! Wow! Absolutely 💯 some of the best forces courses around. I played Sand Valley and Lido and had the best of times! Highly recommend 👌
Ramon V — Google review
Went on a work trip to Sand Valley and even though I’m not a golfer, I had a great time. I played my first-ever round on the Sandbox course and actually really enjoyed it. It’s super laid-back and the scenery around the course is beautiful. The nature overall was stunning. You’re surrounded by dunes, woods, and open skies the whole time. For non-golfers, there’s a solid mix of things to do. I tried out grass tennis and court tennis with a great instructor, but my favorite activity was fat tire biking. The trail near the golf course took me deep into the woods and it was both challenging and rewarding. The food across the resort was consistently good, but Aldo’s was hands down my favorite.
Bobby H — Google review
I host an annual golf trip for 12 guys and have done places like Bandon, big cedar, St. George ut amongst others. Sand valley ranks highly on the list. The 4-bedroom houses on the lake were nothing short of spectacular. The in cottage bbq dinner we ordered was perfect after a long day. The courses were simply great, we played them all. Each one was unique and had its own character. The only slight complaint I have is the lack of community feeling while there. Not many places for people to gather at night. The resort is still young, I’m sure they will add a putting course, bars, and other amenities that will make it feel like you are all there together. I highly recommend taking a trip here, this is a bucket list for any avid golfer…it will not disappoint
Ryan W — Google review
I’m not a golfer, but I had the chance to visit Sand Valley and play the short course—which was perfect for a beginner like me. The property is stunning, with beautiful views and a peaceful vibe that made the whole experience feel special. Even if you're not there for golf, the food alone is worth the trip—all restaurants had great service and delicious options. A great spot to relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy a bit of everything.
Elena S — Google review
My trip to Sand Valley was nothing short of amazing. The courses were in perfect condition, and every round was both challenging and unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of — the hospitality here is truly world-class. A huge shoutout to the starter — the “Big Fella” — for his energy, humor, and helpful tips that set the perfect tone before each round. And to my junior caddy, Garrett — you were an absolute star! Your positive attitude, sharp reads, and great company made every step of those long walks enjoyable. Between the breathtaking scenery, top-notch service, and memorable golf, Sand Valley has easily become my favorite golf destination. I’m already planning my next trip back
Tyler H — Google review
The customer service at SV is top tier. I was lucky enough to get to play all 4 current courses and the sandbox a couple weeks ago. Each course is worth playing and a very different experience. Food and drink is delicious yet incredibly affordable, considering the price for golf here... But that's kind of the point. Once you're there they really just take care of you. Was an experience that will happen again. If you're wanting to make the trip, schedule it... It's a golfers paradise. If you've got a couple good friends to take the trip with, you won't regret it forget it.
Michael M — Google review
Despite being located in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin this golfers' paradise is an absolute must see & play destination for anyone remotely attached to the game of golf. Kid friendly, grandparent vacation and an adult playground there's enough to stay occupied here for at least a week. Once you're on property the prices for beers are $3 and food on the course can be either $1 or $3! Block out your calendar, book some tee times and go play some of the best golf courses I've ever seen!

So much talent and gifted singers that for 3 hours performed great music from the 50, 60, and 70's! The change of dresses for the 2 ladies that danced and the lady that played the wood instrument and sang was a great addition to the show! The meal was very good except by the time it was our table to go up the food was not hot. Still able to eat!!😋

The Golf Courses of Lawsonia

Mentioned on
1 list
Public golf course
Outdoor Activities
The Golf Courses of Lawsonia in Wisconsin offer two exceptional courses that are a must-visit for any golf enthusiast. The Links course lives up to its name with wide open spaces and fescue, while the Woodlands course provides a completely different experience with its wooded surroundings. The staff at the pro shop is known for their friendliness and hospitality. Visitors praise the quality of the courses, accommodations, and amenities, making it an outstanding experience overall.
Lawsonia is hands down one of the best public courses in the Midwest. The Links course offers a classic, challenging layout with incredible elevation changes, fast greens, and stunning views that rival private clubs. Conditions were excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I’ve seen a few lower-rated reviews, but they completely miss the mark—this is a top-tier experience that any golfer should appreciate. Can’t wait to come back!
Forest G — Google review
I’ve been coming to play Lawsonia for + 25 years and it’s never a disappointment! The Links course is an absolute treasure, with elevated greens that require precision approach shots preferably below the hole, with most guarded by steep bunkers that will test even the most skilled short game. The Woodlands is an exciting tree lined course that offers a nice complement to the more highly regarded Links course. The recent less than stellar reviews around course conditions have obviously not spent much time golfing in WI in late spring/early summer after a cold & fairly dry spring. Sanded/punched greens early in the season are not unusual & with more seasonal rain over the past couple of weeks the course is quickly rounding into top shape. Driving range could use some updates & more range balls but for me that doesn’t really distract from the overall experience. Lawsonia remains a gem & a must stop when making the rounds of top WI courses.
Dave G — Google review
The Lawsonia Links course is challenging but very playable. Elevated greens reward those who can hit a high ball that sticks. Bunkers around the elevated greens are the risk for an errant shot. Greens roll nicely. I can't say enough good things about the staff- they are friendly and helpful. And, even on a busy weekend day, the rounds still flow at only a bit over 4 hours. Marshalls help with that as well. This is the kind of course that makes me want to play it again and again so I get better at it. A top notch golf course.
Beaner C — Google review
The links at Lawsonia is very over-rated. The conditions of a course charging $133.00 for a round of golf were very disappointing. From tee to green, the conditions were very dry, surprisingly with a beautiful large, deep Green Lake to keep fairways and greens soft and playable. If you want a great links course at half the value travel south to Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, WI. Great layout, super nice people and conditions were perfect. Myself and my group will not return to Lawsonia, it is too bad as I heard too many good things.
Dan E — Google review
What’s happening to Lawsonia? I’ve historically been one of the biggest Lawsonia stans, but cannot give the experience more than 3 stars anymore. No walking rate tells me all I need to know. I will also echo the recent comments about conditions…it’s like there’s no grounds crew keeping an eye on things. Greens were the worst I’ve seen and the fairways degrading due to all the cart traffic. All for the highest prices ever. Seems to me that the recent success and popularity of the course has made management forget what makes this course great. It all starts with good conditions, getting more walkers on course, and not jacking the prices. Not sure if I will be back for my yearly buddies trip and surely moving Lawsonia down my list of favorite courses.
Jim P — Google review
Both courses were in great shape and fun to play! The driving range is blind after about 100 yards which is weird but works. The bartender was slow and not very attentive but overall a great course and would definitely recommend.. Bring plenty of balls if youre playing the woodlands course!
Richie S — Google review
Going to say some constructively negative things, but I’m still definitely going back! The links course, though, was AMAZING and so fun. Upon arrival, we were not greeted at the bag drop (employees were joking with vulgarity to the side and didn’t even notice us). When we entered the clubhouse and paid $100 each, no instructions or explanation of where to go was offered. We arrived early to warm up, but the range was closed (they could have texted everyone with a tee time). The greens on the back nine were a little too beaten up and inconsistent.
Dave M — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. Please see other notes about how poorly the course is maintained. We played the course on June 1st and the greens were completely dead and covered in sand--the fairways were not much better. This course certainly is no longer one of the nicest public courses in the country. I am not even sure it is one of the 50 best public courses in Wisconsin! $150 for a bad experience (I haven't even mentioned the incredibly slow pace of play) and I now understand why there were a ton of tee times available on a Sunday in early June. Wish I could get a refund for such a bad experience, but warning others not play here will have to be enough.

Roche-a-Cri State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Recreational area with ancient rock carvings & rock art, plus camping, trails & a playground.
Overall a cool park with a canopy of trees. Trails are clearly marked, services easy to find. Enjoyed hiking around here with family. The 303 steps isn’t bad, if your in shape less than 10 minutes, more casual 15-20 minutes. The walk down from the top offers views as well.
Jeff Z — Google review
Well maintained throughout the park. The petroglyphs are awesome. Minus the recent graffiti. The bios from the top of the 303 stairs is amazing
James V — Google review
Hiking trails are great, and quite a few Geocaches if you are looking. Picnic areas are well maintained, tables are newer.
GK R — Google review
Had a great time at the park! The steps are now open after having been closed for a while. Nice view from the top, and plenty of benches to rest on if needed while you’re climbing the stairs. Can’t wait to come back in the fall to see the leaves.
Brad K — Google review
Great place to see history. The stairs to the top are being rebuilt after a fire. We'll have to come back when it is complete. The pictures I see from the top are amazing.
Derrick S — Google review
Beautiful campground. Super wooded, most sites very private. Some of the outer sites are smaller and quite sloping, we had a small challenge leveling our van in 29. Nice hiking. May 2025 we did have quite a few ticks. No mosquitoes though! Lots of deadfall for fires and oak firewood for $6 on site.
Guy H — Google review
Easy walking park. Not terribly big. The stairs up the mound were under construction when I went. Massive pines in one area. I saw a deer, but that was all I saw that day.

Buckhorn State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Recreational park with varied habitats & 2 adjacent wildlife areas plus camping, hiking & swimming.
This is a good overall state park. The fact that it is on Castle Rock Lake flowage is probably its best feature. The lake provides great opportunities for fishing, kayaking, boating, and it features a nice beach for swimming. The hiking trails here are good, but nothing that is really noteworthy, besides the observation tower, which isn't very tall and just looks to a very basic view. Everything is well maintained and taken care of.

I really enjoyed this campground! The campsites are huge! Campground is very well maintained as well as the bathrooms and showers. Pit toilets had a ton of flies but it is what it is. Nice swimming beach with volleyball court and horseshoe pit. Tons of Skeeters so don't skimp on the spray!

One of my favorite smaller state parks, not so big you can get lost, but big enough to explore. Opportunities for fishing, bird watching, camping, and a very good chance to see some bears

Very peaceful beautiful place. Campsites in the main campground are large and very nice. Some electric sites. Walk in tent sites are very nice as well. Great place for biking, hiking and kayaking. Castle rock lake is a very large lake - lots of exploring on a kayak. Showers and bathrooms are very nice. Camp hosts are very friendly and helpful.

We were camped for 3 days in late April and enjoyed the natural beauty of the park. The terrain for hiking was very accommodating, and there were a lot of well groomed trails for those who are disabled. The park also provides an all terrain wheel chair.

Buckhorn State Park is very buggy especially in the backpacking sites, so bring lots of bug spray. Seriously do not underestimate this, because it's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. There was a lot to do. If you stop by the office you can pick up horse shoes or a volleyball to play at the courts located on both sides of the park. Geocaching is pretty big here, I originally came here to do just that, but quickly got distracted by the park itself. There is a little corner shop near the park you can get most necessities, but it's a little pricey. Both the shop and the park sell wood. There is an ADA Cabin, but it reserves quickly from what I can tell as well as canoe and kayak rentals, including a Kayak outfitted for disabled people. I had a big fat raccoon that tried to enter my camp a couple times, I nicknamed "Gerald McNuggets". Even though I did not keep any food in camp and cleaned everything he came on my first and last night's. There are also Bear in the park so make sure to store your food appropriately. I stayed at site 21 it was beautiful. I could swim at the site and the water was sandy and only a few feet deep for about 100ft out. I stayed during the strawberry moon and it was beautiful reflecting off the water, unfortunately my pictures don't do it justice.

We were there the last weekend in June. I anticipated the mosquitoes to be terrible but that wasn't the case. Yes they were present but around our site it was less than expected. When you got on the trails it was necessary for bug spray. Sites are typically what I expect at state parks. Bathroom/shower was clean. I appreciated not having to press a button every 30 seconds in the shower. Signage directions for site numbers could be better. One bear and many deer were spotted. The bear wasn't near the campground but definitely in the park.

Great park and campground. Fall camping is great. Just be prepared the bring you own water later in the fall as the water will be shut off. Very nice bathrooms and showers.

Montello Theatre

Fun & Games
Stopped for a movie while celebrating Christmas with our kids and grandkids. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The prices are fantastic; the tickets, popcorn, soda AND candy cost less than just the tickets alone would have cost anywhere else. Thanks for a great experience!

I am editing my review based on what I woke up to this morning. My social media was filled with the same behaviors nationwide in nearly every theatre. It would not be fair to judge the business by some stupid online trend occurring everywhere. That being said, it still doesn't sit right with me that there were 3 people sitting next to each other on the outside 3 seats across from the walkway light in the middle on the who had their phones raised the entire movie recording and another 4 on the right side and you somehow didn't see that. Twice. If I return, hopefully there will be something in place to address that issue instead of relying on people to complain.

It was such a fun experience to watch a movie here! I really enjoyed learning about the history of the place, and it’s definitely a must-visit when we’re in town to see our family.

My wife and I took our two youngest here for the first time and it was great! Four tickets, 2 lg popcorns, lg soda, freeze dried gummy worms and a bag of mini Kit Kats and still cost $10 less than it did for just my wife and I to see a movie at AMC w a lg popcorn, lg fountain drink and 5 small mozzarella sticks two months ago….we will definitely be regulars from now on.

For the last 3 years now, the historic Montello Theatre has been gracious enough to allow the Portage Cub Scouts Pack 70 hold our March Pack meeting at their theater! It's been a pretty cool visit every year and we look forward to doing it again. Thank you for your support.

Beyond expectations! This restaurant has both service for the dining and water activities. The food was served hot and fresh. The wait time was less than 10 minutes. Friendly employees, checked on our table frequently. The cost of menu items was affordable. Child friendly atmosphere for all ages. Menu items include American food related. Serving whole pizza, homebrewed beer, and pretzels. The atmosphere was boat themed. Various boating items everywhere, something to look at while dining. Plenty of parking spaces for a small lot, nearest to the rental area.

We have now gone here 3 times in about 2 months, first on a fri. I had the fish and hubs had the pizza, kolinski I believe, we had never had a pizza with polish sausage on it before, but he absolutely loved it, we will be back, they have reg pizza available also, we ordered a medium and ended up taking half it home. next we went, we went for lunch he had bacon cheeseburger, ff and mozzarella sticks, I chose mush Swiss burger, ff and onion rings, soon good, again we ended up taking half it home. recently, we went and had the prime rib, $35 per plate, one size only, 18 Oz. comes with your choice of potato, soup, or salad. again, it was very good, more fat than I would personally like, but the flavor was there and fork tender. again, we had to take a good portion home, ate it for breakfast the next day, excellent. we will be back.

We stopped here with our dog and they were happy to let us sit on the porch. Our server was very attentive and friendly, even brought our dog some ice water since it was hot. The pizza is delicious! It is also very hearty so go small or prepare to have leftovers. The beer was good too. You can rent boats here and we also enjoyed watching the birds in the trees and pond nearby. We will definitely be back.

Montello Brewing Company is located in Rendezvous, convenient for those out on the water. They just upgraded their brewing system and it shows; they are able to push out more beer now. On my stop they had a blonde, pils, IPA, Scotch Ale, Irish Black, a Pale ale, and a couple porters. The bar tenders were extremely friendly and enjoyed talking about their beers. Their is a full restaurant here but just stopped for the beer but I will be back.

Situated on the picturesque banks of the Wisconsin River, this resort features the 80,000-square-foot indoor water park called Lost Rios. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Chula Vista Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless. The service was truly superior—attentive, professional, and incredibly kind. The staff didn’t just provide service—they provided care. Every interaction made it clear that their priority was ensuring our event was seamless, memorable, and stress-free. The space itself is beautiful and welcoming, but what truly sets this place apart is the team. The Chula Vista Team was AMAZING! They exceeded expectations in every way, making the entire event stress-free and enjoyable. From Brooke & Ozlem handling all of our special requests - especially pulling together a last minute Blood Mary Bar! To Lucas handling every IT hiccup with speedy professionalism and a smile! The attention to detail was remarkable. From setup to timing, everything was handled with precision, yet never felt rushed or forced. The team anticipated needs before we even voiced them and always checked in with kindness and attentiveness. It was the kind of service that makes you feel completely taken care of, allowing us to fully enjoy the occasion without worry. The Chula Vista team’s attention to detail was remarkable. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for not only a gorgeous setting, but also top-notch service that makes you feel valued and cared for.

The Condo rooms are absolutely amazing and some of the best rooms I stay in on a trip. Can fit a great number of people between the 2 Queen beds and the King bed. Having a kitchen in the room is so nice. The hot tub is an added bonus! Stayed on the 1st floor this year and the ceilings were incredibly high. Plus we had a walk off patio.
Nathan G — Google review
For the price of the rooms, I thought the rooms were a little run down. They are very large, and have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. This was great. There were stains on the shower curtain and everything just looked like it needed sprucing up. The pillows, which you got 3 per bed, were small and square. Very odd. There was a table and chairs and a sofa in the room. Our table had a chunk of wood taken out of it. Also, our tub didn't drain and we had little water pressure in the shower. We were here for our daughters wedding. We were very happy with everything dealing with the wedding. The ballroom, ceremony and staff were wonderful. Jenny was amazing and came through in the clutch when needed. Kudos to the event staff.

We had my hubby's racing banquet there. The rooms were big , clean and great temp controlled. The hotel was very nice. We stayed there with our 2 kids and enjoyed the inside water park the next day. We will definitely be back.
Judith W — Google review
So one of the only reasons I'd recommend this place at all is because of the water park. My kids loved it. But, everything else was not great. It started by us not knowing where to even go for check in. We center what we thought was the right building for there to be a sign to go to another building, which we wouldn't know that never having been there before. We get to the other building, only one person checking people in, we waited in line for her to help the person in front of us for over 40 mins. Now, it was our fault for not allowing the kids to get there sooner but we showed up at the hotel at 6 thinking they'd have time to swim. Didn't expect the park to close at 8 and for our wait to get checked in to take over 40 mins. So the kids had less than an hour. The water park is only accessible through a specific building underground in a tunnel which atleast we didnt have to go outside but was a long walk to get to it. The rooms themselves were not great. I pulled out the sofa bed and it was super gross. The mattress was still folded up like it was 20 years old. It had rips a s years all through it with barely anything covering it. It was gross looking. The beds were super uncomfortable and the blankets were scrappy and gross. Location wasn't great because it was further away from. The downtown part than was anticipated. The only other good thing was there was barely anyone there so the kids had no lines to wait in for any slides. I think there were maybe 4 other kids there. This was on a Monday during a fall break.

Experience was great. Attended Aquatifur 2025 and had a blast! The waterpark is awesome (if not limited in the wintertime of course, but still its great), the hotel staff are polite to the furry community in attendance, and the rooms are generally nice. Wouldn't say perfect, the light switches in our room were a bit broken, but generally everything else was great!
Ron C — Google review
Came to the Chula Vista for the first time to attend Aquatifur 2025 and roomed with a few friends. Check in was simple and quick. Natalie was very nice and explained everything we needed to know perfectly. Our room was over on the condo side and was right across from the waterpark. The only thing I would say for there is, I wish the little tiki bar drink menu actually had prices shown on the menus. Other than that I had an absolute blast at Chula Vista this past weekend and will definitely be back again in the future!

Aquatifur hosted at the Chula Vista resort is a blast!!! The rooms are spacious and the suites are full on large apartments with whole oven and microwave In the suites and microwaves in the regular rooms. The smaller rooms also have pull out beds which are not advertised. Also had a good time hanging out with my freinds here 10/10

Ripley's Believe It Or Not is a museum that has been captivating visitors for over 90 years with its extraordinary attractions in 10 countries. The outpost at Wisconsin Dells boasts three floors of exhibits and illusions, featuring 11 galleries filled with oddities and curiosities. Visitors can explore ancient artifacts in the Temple of Discovery and experience mind-boggling illusions throughout the dimly lit facility.
We had such a great time at the attraction! The animal scavenger hunt, history & slides, and secret passages kept kids entertained. The interactive exhibits were captivating for all ages, fostering curiosity. It was a truly memorable experience filled with laughter and wonder. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We had such a great time at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! The animal scavenger hunt, slides, and secret passages kept our kids completely engaged. Their absolute favorite part was solving the secret codes and finding the hidden passages such a fun and interactive way to explore! We also loved the glitter wall and the sand table both were huge hits. Our kids played for two full hours before they even started to slow down. It’s a perfect mix of hands-on fun and curiosity-sparking exhibits. Bonus: They offer a military discount on the entrance fee, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend for families looking for something playful and unique!

This place was so much better then I originally thought it would be. My husband and I spent a couple hours here just looking through everything. Finding trap.doors and secret hallways. Solving riddles and going down slides. It was great for all ages and really made you find your inner child if you allowed that little person to come out. I have some cool videos but it won't let me upload them, sorry. But it is so worth going, and I would recommend buying the package that also has the Wizard experience as part of it.

1.5 hrs of family fun. The secret rooms were fun to look for and not straight forward to find. The artwork is truly original and unique. The Gleaners made from toast was pretty impressive. Take lots of pictures of the artwork because only in person will you remember what it was really made of. Also, don’t lose your family.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but have to say I really enjoyed the exhibits!! It’s amazing the creativity people have!! Beautiful pictures painted on insects, portraits made with jellybeans, snakes made with plastic fingernails are just a few!! Measure yourself to the tallest man. I’m a kid at heart so took one of the slides down to the lower floor. If assistance is needed, a friendly employee will take you up/down the elevator. Since there is a play area, I’d say this museum is for all ages!!
Linda N — Google review
Definitely neat for the first time. Lots to look at and learn about, cool hidden doorways and passages to find. $30/person is a bit high but worth it once. Wouldn't come back solely because of the price, would definitely return if it was around $15-$20/person. Has a nice metal walkway that takes you around the place with different slides or stairs to take you to the lower level. Worth it to see it once if you've never been there.
Matt H — Google review
Very cool place for all ages! We really enjoyed seeing the serial killer’s split head open and the torture devices. Very funky placed filled with information! Staff was very friendly. Before exiting, we had a great conversation with Leo on what we thought about the exhibit.
Ashley — Google review
This place does have some cool and interesting items and art peices, but there is not all that much from the actual believe it or not books. Its also somewhat disorganized. The staff tells you to take a picture of the map rather then giving you a copy or having them posted in several places around the attraction. We just wondered around aimlessly until we felt like we had seen everything. The slides are a little crazy for adults to go down. We were told nothing about the quest to find all the different hidden animals, but did figure it out. It would be cool to have a punch card or something at each one and if you complete it maybe get a sticker or maybe a discount at the gift shop. I wasn't upset paying the price to go once, but it wouldn't be something we would likely come back to. The company's other attraction wizard quest is something we go to every time we come to the dells.

Timbavati Wildlife Park is a family-friendly animal park that has been around for centuries and is home to over 350 animals from more than 70 species. Visitors can enjoy supervised interaction with various animals throughout the park and even take a ride on the Safari Train or a trained camel. The park offers interactive activities such as camel and pony rides, as well as opportunities for children to have close encounters with baby wallabies and kangaroos.
A Must-Do Experience in Wisconsin Dells! Our visit to Timbavati Wildlife Park was an absolute highlight of our trip to Wisconsin Dells. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a clean, well-organized park and incredibly friendly staff. The hands-on experiences are what truly set this place apart. We loved the giraffe feeding—getting up close with such majestic animals was an unforgettable moment to share. The variety of animals is impressive, and you can tell that they are well cared for. The zookeepers were knowledgeable and passionate, answering all our questions and sharing fun facts. The Safari Train Ride was a fantastic way to see many of the animals in a different setting. It felt like a mini-adventure. The park is a perfect size for a day date—not so big that you get exhausted, but with more than enough to see and do to fill several hours. Timbavati offers a genuine connection with wildlife that is wonderful to share with a partner. We can't wait to go back!

We took our kids this past week before the zoo closed for the season. Here is my honest review: The building right past where they have the sloths, baby goats, baby emu’s & tortoises - where the Iguana is housed .. is SOOO NASTY!! It stunk so bad we literally couldn’t even go see the poor animals that were trapped inside. It was awful!! I gagged for about 5 minutes straight after opening the door. I seriously wish I could’ve recorded the smell. The lions den and the tigers den.. PATHETIC!!!!! You can see the pace tracks from them going back and forth constantly. They looked very sad & the enclosures are not big enough for ONE big cat.. they have two stuffed in each enclosure!!! A measly Little Rock pile for them to climb on and a stream of water. Some of the animal enclosures were extremely dirty. The poor monkey was going back and forth his little enclosure and all the spots he stopped to sit & look out the poor thing couldn’t see because the glass was covered in filth!! On the plus side, the train ride was a neat experience. The Lammas came right up to you wanting carrots (you can buy feed.) The parrot experience was fun for the whole family too. Feeding the giraffe was awesome. Climbing the overlook tower was scary, but beautiful at the top. We are planning on going back in the summertime in hopes that the animal enclosures are better maintained!!

We visited Timbavati Wildlife Park on Father’s Day and had a great time! Our group included six adults and three kids (ages 3 to 8), and everyone had fun. There were no lines or long waits, which made the day feel super relaxed. One of the highlights was the free animal encounters—we got to go inside the bird and kangaroo enclosures, which was such a fun and unique experience for all ages. We also did the train ride, which was nice for giving our legs a break. It was helpful for feeding the deer and getting a closer look at the rhino, but aside from that, it didn’t add too much. If you’re okay walking, you could probably skip it, but it’s a good option for anyone who prefers less walking. The park itself was clean, easy to navigate, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. We grabbed some ice cream by the lion enclosure to cool off before heading out. All in all, it was a great way to spend a Sunday—and we’d definitely come back again!

We had a VIP tour and it was a blast! We got to interact with so many animals and to learn so much information. It was early in the morning so all the animals were active and so cool to watch. We also did sloth and red panda encounters and it was a unique experience. Our kid got to interact with a ball python and now plays with his plush snake saying snakes are his favorite, so it was certainly enriching for him to visit. All animals were well cared for! Great thanks to our tour guide Lane for amazing time!

Went to the zoo today. We had both the red panda experience and sloth experience. I can't say enough good things about both. The red panda was the best. Came right across our laps to eat grapes. We were able to easily pet Puck(his name). It was so cool. We also fed the sloths and were able to pet them. Our encounter guide, Nicole was outstanding. Ask for her!!!!! Nicole was so knowledgeable and patient. We would go again tomorrow!!!

We had such a special time visiting Timbavati this weekend! The zoo is closed for the season but still offers the animal encounters which was incredible for a private experience. My husband and I met the red panda, Puck and he even sat on our lap. 🥲🥲🥲 We also did the sloth encounter, where we got to feed 5 sloths. Lulu was definitely the star of the show, but we absolutely loved them all. Thank you Sarah who took time to tell us about our animals friends and all their neighbors along the way while we walked through. It was such a special experience and I would highly recommend! We will be back!
Jackie K — Google review
It was great to see the animals and an awesome experience to be able to pet the kangaroos. They have the option to buy animal feed for you to feed the animals too. The train ride was cool and it stopped so that the animals could walk up to the train and people can feed them right there and pet them. The parakeet area was pretty cool, you enter into their spot where they are free flying and might even land on you.
Jamie E — Google review
First of all, we got this free with hotel so expectations were low. But given that, it was better than expected, in that there were a wide range of animals. Many looked sad, and I must say I prefer petting zoos with animals suited to cages. And the whole place has a bit of “seen better days” about out. But there really was a wide range - tigers and other big game, goats and birds and other things to observe. Good for families with young kids.

Wisconsin Deer Park is a 40-acre petting zoo that has been operating for over fifty years. It offers visitors the opportunity to interact with and feed over 100 deer, as well as other wildlife such as elk, bison, goats, lemurs, and llamas. The park's well-groomed trails provide an authentic experience where guests can get up close and personal with the animals while learning about their life cycles.
So fun and highly recommended! This was our favorite thing to do in Wisconsin Dells!! There's tons of deer just walking around and you can touch and feed them. I recommend buying the $1 deer food cups (inside of the deer park), because the deer will come to you. So fun and great for all ages.

We had more fun than we expected! Absolutely enjoyable for all ages. We went right as they opened and I highly recommend doing that. It was nice and cool, the deer were happy to see us with the snacks we purchased for them, and it wasn’t crowded. Plenty of places to get more snacks for the deer and a clearly marked area to wash and sanitize your hands.

We really enjoyed this place. You can buy these wafer crisps for the deer and certain other animals. They will swarm you! I had a bunch of new deer friends following us around. It really was amazing to me. There are other animals as well. We'll be coming back for sure on future Dells trips. My only concern was the one female deer in with the buck, she looked a bit too thin to me. Watch out for deer droppings!
Amber M — Google review
We had a great time at Wisconsin Deer Park- it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! Before visiting, we saw reviews online saying not to waste money on the crackers sold at the entrance, but we didn’t have any issues with the deer eating them. We visited just after Labor Day weekend (off-season), around noon, and the deer were still very interested in food. Reviews often recommend coming earlier in the day when they’re hungrier, which makes sense, but we found them friendly and eager to interact even at midday. The setup was really special: you walk right through their habitat and the deer will come up to you, follow you around, and even let you pet them while feeding. They clearly preferred food to pets, but the experience was still magical and very safe. The second half of the park especially was full of friendly deer eager for snacks. There are also other animals in the park. Most seemed fine, but the lemurs looked a little understimulated, and the rabbits didn’t make a lot of sense to us since you can’t pet them (they bite). Their enclosures were large enough, but they didn’t have access to grass or roaming space- hopefully they get some time outside of their cages occasionally. Tips for visiting: • Definitely buy the crackers, we had a great experience with them. • Bring lots of quarters for the corn machines scattered throughout the park. • Plan to spend at least an hour or two walking through slowly, especially if you have kids. Overall, it’s a unique and memorable experience that we’d recommend to families visiting the Dells. Getting that close to the deer, and having them walk alongside you is something you won’t forget.
Christine F — Google review
Very clean park with very silly deer. Some of the deer are rather shy. Others will follow you around the whole park. It's nice to see the deer up close and give them some pets. Some of them are just there for the snacks. Others like a good scratch. My favorite part of the whole park was the muntjac deer. It came up to the fence and was very polite. I couldn't resist petting it. It LOVED scratches behind the horns. The other animals there seems we'll cared for. They are kept in smaller enclosures during the day. The different types of deer were very cool to see. Even one of the white tailed deer came up for a snack.

Fun and affordable for your family. Our 6 year old really wanted to go. Even the teens were smiling. The deer are friendly. Cute gift shop we got to pick out reminders of our trip at. We bought 10 packs of cracker at the entrance for our family of 6. Could have bought more- there were plenty of hungry deer.

A very unique experience - walking through a contained park where some of the deer are free to roam and will definitely walk up to you (if you come bearing snacks). Pleasant experience for the kids and honestly a great way to spend an hour or two while at the Dells.

We visited during the summer and had an amazing time exploring both the indoor and outdoor water parks. The outdoor water slides were thrilling, and the wave pool was a big hit with the kids. The indoor park is a great backup in case of rain, and the lazy river was perfect for unwinding. The park is massive, so be prepared to do a lot of walking. The roller coasters and go-karts in the theme park section added even more adventure to our day. We also appreciated the free admission included with our hotel stay—it made everything feel more convenient and budget-friendly. The only downsides were that it got very crowded during peak hours, and food lines were long. It’s best to arrive early and plan breaks to avoid the rush. Also, the hotel rooms could use some updates, but overall, they were clean and comfortable. Mt. Olympus is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Wisconsin Dells area. Great fun for all ages—we’ll be coming back again next summer!

We have been coming to Mt. Olympus for many years now since my kids were babies and liked the smaller water slides and rides and now they love the bigger water slides and roller coasters. There is always so much to do and they are always adding new things so it is fun to come back year after year. This year my 12 year old requested to go for her birthday and we tried the birthday package and she loved it! The employees are all wonderful. We all had a great time even at the end of August we still were able to go on all the water slides and roller coasters and the lines were not long at all. Thank you as always Mt. Olympus. 🏊🏼‍♀️🎢🎂♥️

A week ago, I visited the park. It was a family trip planned two months in advance. We reserved a hotel room in advance with direct park admission. Everything was great, except that upon arrival and check-in, we had to wait around five hours for our room to be ready since check-in time was 4:00 p.m., and we arrived at 11:00 a.m. It's worth mentioning that we traveled from Arkansas. The housekeepers kindly let us use another room to change and one of my sisters forgot her bag, yes it was our mistake but we were so excited and traveling with children is not an easy task. To make this short, it only took us 15 minutes or less to realize the forgotten bag, we returned to the room and it was gone, we asked the guys and they didn't see anything, the hotel staff and manager didn't show any interest. The bag only had $300 in cash and we said that didn't matter, we were only interested in the IDs and cards. I think they should have a plan to assist customers with these types of problems, since there are no cameras in the hallways or at the hotel entrance. Still we tried to enjoy the park for the kids, because they were excited.

Stayed Saturday through Tuesday. Water park was ok, everything closed at 7 besides the outdoor theme park. Older acquired hotel is definitely not kept up. There are outdoor BBQ areas. The room itself (which we paid dearly for) was the best part. It was very nice but walls were very very thin. They do have someone driving through the lot every now and then. Carpets throughout the halls are very dirty and the elevator was extremely dirty.

This place was great! I took my two sons here 9 and 11 and both were able to do all the rides and enjoyed the entire time. We booked in advance so the room and park rate was very affordable. Food at the park is expensive but that's to be expected. Wait times for most things were not bad the majority of the time. The only complaints I have is I wish there were more drinking fountains in the park, we only found one the whole time. And I wish they would enforce some of the rules more. The amount of times I got hit during go karts when in the out area because people thought it was funny was very annoying. Same with people holding a place in line for a while group to walk past you. But all in all the park was great, it was very clean, and the staff was great at both the hotel and the park. I absolutely would go here again!

Stayed at Mount Olympus with my sons and had a great time in the Wisconsin Dell area. You got free water park there everyday with your stay. Everyone in your group which made it really fun and enjoyable. They have game room there, miniature golf course ,and even a a amusement rides that you can enjoy.

This was our 1st visit to the Waterpark only, we absolutely had a great day! It didn’t feel like it was over crowded but the lines for the big slides were quite long but it seemed like they moved at a good pace, lots of different age areas for the kids which made it even more enjoyable for our 3 year old. We ate lunch by the Toddler area and their French fries were delicious. Life jackets are available for no charge to use (if you forget to bring one like we did) in different areas of the waterpark. There were ample amount of lounge/sit up chairs available for resting time. Lots of photo ops also available to take for your memory books. Plenty of gift shops and little snack shops around the park, also plenty of restrooms The do have stroller/wagon/wheel chair rentals. If you don’t rent a room it is quite a walk from the parking lot to the waterpark with hills

I'll start by saying that I loved this place. My children and wife were very happy. From the moment we arrived to check in for my room, the staff was very friendly and always had a smile. The room was small but had all the important amenities: hot water, air conditioning, microwave, mini-fridge, and comfortable and clean beds. The parks, both the theme park and the water park, are incredible. I recommend visiting during the week. I arrived on a Thursday and left on a Saturday. Thursday and Friday were incredible; we were able to ride everything without waiting in lines. If you want to enjoy this place stress-free, visiting during the week is my recommendation. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you to all the friendly staff at Mt. Olympus.

This museum is so unique and just amazing! The owner Bret made for us almost 4 hours tour (because we needed to leave but there is so much more to see and hear) which was super interesting. Bret is truly passionate about the WWII and all the items and treasures he has in his museum and can tell you so many interesting stories about it which makes this museum so unique! Everybody should visit! Bret, thank you very much for such a great experience during my study abroad in Wisconsin!
Tereza P — Google review
I went here with my family a few weeks ago and as someone who loves WWII my initial thoughts upon seeing the place where honestly less than enthusiastic but I cannot stress how absolutely wrong my assumption was. The owner Brett is an unbelievably charismatic yet humble guy who’s collection of WWII artifacts is hands down unparalleled to anything in Wisconsin but to leave it at that is only the half of it. For each artifact that Brett has in his immense collection he has an incredible story and background to it that will undoubtedly capture the interest and imagination of even the least interested person, a few will even likely put you on the verge of tearing up (myself included). As someone who’s visited Smithsonian’s museums several times this place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but the experience that me and my family felt by the time we walked out of this little portage WWII museum was something I have absolutely no doubt any of us will ever forget. As far as I’m concerned this, to me, is was put portage on the map. Brett thank you for your commitment and immense respect to this part of our nations history and to those who were a part of it and also for keeping the stories all of which you retold so wonderfully alive.

The WW2 Museum in Portage, Wisconsin is a must see for everyone. Brett runs the museum and he has a huge collection of rare and unique items from WW 2 and other military conflicts. Brett know the back story on all the item and I guarantee he will have many things you have not seen. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. We drove from Texas to see the museum and we were not disappointed. Great job Brett.

Other museums have posters to read. This museum has a knowledgeable curator who shows you the items individually and tells you their history. You feel as if you were there as events happened. Plan on spending hours listening and learning but it seems like just minutes have passed.

An amazing collection of history and an even better guide. I would be hard pressed to find anyone as dedicated and passionate about anything as Bret is about the museum, its exhibits and our veterans. Thank you for all you do, Bret! A must visit for sure!

The Rick Wilcox Magic Theater, located in Wisconsin Dells, is a 550-seat theater opened by master illusionists Rick and Suzan Wilcox in 1999. The 90-minute show features a blend of magic, comedy, and quick wit that keeps the audience entertained and amazed. After the show, guests have the opportunity to meet the gracious hosts for autographs and photos. This unique entertainment experience is constantly updated with new tricks and techniques to ensure an unforgettable evening of grand illusions.
This was my first visit to the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater and it certainly was not a disappointment. Rick & his wife have such a connection with the audience and his magic tricks are unbelievable. He had audience members join him on stage, including children. I loved seeing the awe and excitement in kids who were just blown away with being part of the magic happening right in front of them. At the end Rick and Susan engaged even further with the audience inviting them to ask questions. It's just a brilliant family show that lasted about 90 minutes. Absolutely loved it.

This magic show was worth every penny! I've seen several magic shows but this one has been the best by far! Highly recommended for your visit to Wisconsin dells! We went Friday night and were in the 4th row. Great show, very entertaining and fun!

My wife and I were having a weekend trip for our anniversary and decided to buy tickets for the show. We had never been to a live magic show before, and we loved it! The show was funny and entertaining, and the magic was incredible to see live. The illusions were VERY impressive. The show is great for both families and adults with no children. We are already planning to come back next year with friends!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at the Rick Wilcox Magic Show! 🎩✨ From jaw-dropping card tricks to mind-blowing levitation, every moment was pure magic. Rick and Susan Wilcox are not just incredible performers, but their love and affection for each other shine through, making the show even more heartwarming. 💖 Their chemistry is as magical as the tricks they perform! Having been in business since 1991, this show is truly a hidden gem right here in central Wisconsin. I was absolutely blown away by the variety, the energy, and the sheer talent on display. I can’t recommend it enough! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. ⭐️✨🔥 But it’s more than just a show — Rick and Susan are in the business of genuinely making people happy, bringing light to this world with smiles, and reminding us of the magic we can feel in our everyday lives. 🌟😊✨

I've never been to the show before. Growing up it was always something I wanted to do. Now that I'm 40 with a wife and kid (4) we decided to do it. It's a great show! I highly recommend for all ages. It keeps your attention the entire time and Rick is great with the audience, kids and adults. The interaction with the audience is done perfectly. If there's anything you do in the dells make sure going to this show is one of the things to do.

We had a great time at the Rick Wilcox Magic Show today 11-29-24, the day after Thanksgiving! My parents would bring me and my brothers to Rick and Susan’s show when I was a kid (a highlight of our summer vacations in the Dells). Now I’m bringing my own kids (along with grandma and papa still) to experience the wonder. We all had an absolute blast and were on the edge of our seats the entire time! So grateful you guys are still performing in the Dells 25 years later! The tricks and illusions were front and center as Rick and Susan skillfully moved from each set to the next. They’ve really stayed true to their craft, and there’s nothing like live, interactive magic especially when it’s done with such precision, theatricality, and timing—pure art! We enjoyed the Q&A immediately following the performance too which really humanized the show even further. Rick spent time chatting with guests and taking pictures afterwards too in true Midwestern “down to earth” form, salt of the earth. Thank you so much, Rick and Susan for a great show today and for the legacy you’ve continued!

This was our first time here and we loved it! The Halloween weekend was a blast. Trick or Treating for the kids (and adults) was so much fun! The fishing was great too. We will be back next year for sure!

It's best quality is that you can buy 4 spots together and face your friends' campers, however you need long power and hose because the access is in the middle of all the sites. There were a lot of beautiful trees, but there are a LOT of campers. The place had some stuff to do if you have kids. Coffee and donut in the morning, a fellow camper reported the cost was $10 😳The Amish came to sell their items on Sunday. The negative was ITS VERY LOUD. There are announcements over a loud speaker, that interrupt your conversations, I'm not sure if anyone can make out what they were announcing but I couldn't. I have never seen this in a campground. Generally if there is a list of things to do, or rules, you are given a schedule. The sound ordinance was totally ignored and not enforced, there were people walking around woo-ing loudly for a long time at 11 pm while we were trying to talk around a campfire, it was annoying. We estimated they bring in about 15k a weekend, you'd think they could afford to have someone enforce the quiet time from 10 p.m. until midnight or so. I'd come back here Only if friends picked this location.

We booked our campsite, and we were sharing the site with two others. One campsite had an extra camper, which took up 75% of our site. My family was forced to the corner of the site. Extremely unhappy with our stay.
George S — Google review
We had an awesome time. The four square sites were confusing at first but one of the employees directed us right to our site I think we ended up at the most convenient one in the park. The pool was heated just enough to take the chill out but still be refreshing. That was a bonus! The pond with inflatables was clean and inviting. The kids loved the craft activities. They did say they wished there were some more activities on the calendar each day but they definitely managed to keep busy. The entire park is clean and well-managed. Golf carts aren't permitted after dusk and no stereos either, which really contributed to a peaceful and relaxing stay. Every employee we encountered was warm and welcoming. Silver Springs was definitely one of our favorites campgrounds! We will be back.

Great campground to enjoy with kids, family, friends. Have loads of facilities, electric, water, pool for kids/adults, food, tent and RV sites, boat rentals, saw people fishing as well. Friendly staff and nice reservation systems. I am giving 4.5/5 because it is very crowded indeed. The campsites are literally overlapping. No distinction between RV vs tent ones. Directions can be better although they do send someone to check after you as soon as you check in their office. Restrooms are tried to be kept clean and mostly the problem is (as usual) typical people not following restroom manners - a suggestion will be to using Odonil or similar restroom fresheners. Recommended for fun weekend/few days. It does get crowded and busy. Store /office sells firewood, lighter fluid, milk, food and their ice cream shop at the pool is pretty cool too - at reasonable prices.

My review is from last season (2023). In looking for a place to return to, this campground is not even on my list to re-visit. On the surface, has every amenity you could want (thus 2 stars) but never again will I return (would be 0). -The 'pick any of the 4 spots' as first come is ridiculous. -Our spot was on a steep hill and impossible to get set up level. -NO camping respect or etiquette!!!! everyone walked through our camp spot all weekend, extremely rude, having close encounters with dog problems ->this alone, i refuse to return. -They threw a large party right by our camp spot late at night and of course we had people walking through our spot and even driving their golf carts through our site!!!!!! - DANGEROUS! we had young children with us. -The lake play equipment is nice, but there is no one there to stop bullies or prevent kids from freaking out about turtles in the water and making every-other child panic with no way to get a child off of the equipment unless you have a strong swimmer to literally carry and swim them back to shore because the water is so deep... panicking children don't follow directions well people. ->It was one of the worst camping weekends we had traveling around the state last year.

Noah's Ark Waterpark is a sprawling 70-acre family-friendly destination in Wisconsin Dells, known as America's largest waterpark. With over 51 water slides, the park offers a wide range of attractions suitable for all ages. From thrilling tube slides like The Plunge and Monkey Rapids to leisurely options such as lazy rivers and wave pools, there's something for everyone. Special areas are designated for kids, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Loved the park and the whole experience. It was a hot day and wait time was not bad, but that was a Tuesday so don’t mind it if it’s just during the weekend. Plenty of rides, lots of food to pick from(general burgers, tenders, fries, etc..) But your tickets online, with the package that includes food and drink from Johnny rocket or MIA pizza. Wait time was less than 25 minutes and it was not bad.

We went there in August. The weather was a bit cloudy and the temperature was around 78°F. We bought our tickets online, so there wasn't any waiting line to get in! Wow, the park was so beautiful and the weather was just perfect for enjoying after using our devices – it was amazing! Then, suddenly the sky went dark and it started raining, so the park had to shut down the devices activity and ask everyone to head to the shelters. We were in the shelter for about an hour, and it was really pouring rain. After that, it stopped, and the park started getting lively again. We played for about an hour before the sky got dark and it rained again, which stopped everything. We decided to leave the park, and when we were leaving, they gave us another ticket because it was raining today. The customer service was great! The rain really did waste our time. We drove for about two hours to get there, spent the whole day just playing, but ended up wasting time waiting in the shelter and then having to leave early. However, on the other hand, the rain made the park much less crowded, and the lines were significantly shorter than they usually are on a weekend in the summer. So, we weren't that sad about facing the bad weather.

The best time in Wisconsin Dells area !! America 's largest water park !!! We had loads of fun and convenience around the park. The best slides are : Black Anaconda ranks first. Time Warp goes for 2nd. The wave beach is one of my favorites as well. It's a water park duh?!!! You are wet all the way through. Leave your towels in a spot because you won't need it. Even if the Sun is out, you will never be dry. Walk all around the park and one day is not enough to enjoy. Go in at 10 so less people are coming in and enjoy the best time until closing at 7pm. Worth it all the way. Make sure to buy online for convenience and savings. I love this park, we'll be back next year !!!

I've been going to Noah's Ark Waterpark for the past 30 years, and it still delivers some of the best water slides in America. Other parks in the Dells just don’t compare—the rides here are more complex, thrilling, and fun. We went again today, and it was just as exciting as ever. Lines were shorter than usual, and the price was very reasonable. They’re currently running a great deal on season passes—I got one for the price of a single visit, which was an absolute steal. The park is clean, well-maintained, and continues to raise the bar when it comes to water rides. If you’re visiting Wisconsin Dells, Noah’s Ark is hands down the best water park to choose for a top-tier ride experience.
Sean H — Google review
Great waterpark overall! We had a fun time and were pretty happy with how the day went. The only real downside was the long lines for the bigger slides - some were 30 to 45-90minutes, which made it tough to try everything. But I guess that’s just part of the deal during peak season. We paid for priority parking and it was worth it, it’s super close to the entrance and only $5 more than regular. We got there about 30 minutes before opening and were first in line, which I’d definitely do again. We packed light, just towels, dry clothes, and water bottles and everything fit into the smallest locker. Saved a bit of money that way too. Our hotel (La Quinta) gave us a park ticket deal: $20 per person for the whole stay, which was way better than Groupon ($104 for 3 people for a day) or the park’s own price ($124 for 3 for one day). Food inside the park was actually decent and fresh. Expect to pay around $15–20 per meal. The wave pool was a highlight - perfect water temp, tons of space, and really strong waves. Super fun and a great spot to hang out and cool off.

Had amazing time here it did rain for the beginning of the day, but we still enjoyed all the rides. Some of the rides are a little scary but if you’re a thrill seeker, you’ll love it. I guess I’m just a baby ha ha ha. Great fun for the whole family.

Fun outdoor waterpark! A little bit for every age. My kids are 9, 8 and 6 and they had a great time. The park could use some updating, but it was a bit nostalgic so I didn't mind. We bought discounted tickets online and tailgated in the parking lot mid-way through the day to keep costs down. We went on a weekday, so the park wasn't crazy busy and we prefer that. Overall a fun time had by the entire family!

I really wanted to go to Noah’s Ark. I am from Colorado and used to Water World. I thought it was the largest water park in the world. When I found out Noah’s Ark was larger, I had to try it out. I like the park but it’s not my favorite. I would go back if my kids really wanted to go or if I was invited for something. I probably won’t go back on my own. They do have some cool rides. The Raja King Cobra was my favorite. We tried to get on the Black Mamba but after being only 4 couples away from our ride, the rain came down and the park shut down. Disappointing but definitely not the park’s fault by any means. Cool experience and highly recommend giving it a shot. If you stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Delton, you can get tickets from them for $25 each when you stay with them. The tickets are good for your entire stay too. We stayed there but didn’t realize that until after we went to the park.

I’ve been skiing at Cascade since I was three years old (1987). It’s the best spot for Midwest skiing, a perfect mix of cozy small-town vibe with all the conveniences of modern lifts and lodges. We come up from the Chicago area and it’s well worth the drive!

Went tubing and it was exceptionally cold on 1/19/2025. You can warm up and grab food. I wish we could have spaced our time out more, but you need to reserve a time slot. It makes sense, since if too many people there you would wait forever to go down. Good times for young and old :)

It is a great place for snow tubing and winter fun! The overall experience is excellent with well-maintained slopes and friendly staff. However, the food area and restrooms could be improved for better convenience and cleanliness. Still, it’s a fun and memorable spot for families and groups to enjoy the snow!

My 2 friends suprisied me for my birthday with a skiing experience which I had never done before, it was a nice 2 Hour drive from Chicago. I was very impressed with the location. Can’t wait to be back I recommend it to anyone that wants to go for the day instead and not break the bank for your wallet.

The only legit mountain within about 2 hours of Chicago. Their season will end in a week, but the trails were well maintained and very skiable, even with that said. It was 65f 😂, I went on March 10th. Was a nice "spring" ski condition. Not the highest elevation but enough to have fun (it is the Midwest), I am at most an intermediate boarder. But def think it's a perfect place for newer riders. The black diamonds are more like steep blues, and only on the bottom half of the mountain. Staff was very friendly. If you want something within reasonable distance from Chicago I recommend, but have realistic expectations. I also would not fly there for a trip

First time this season, and it was fun as always! They have cleared some trees and opened new runs. Fresh snowfall also added to the experience, it might have forced a lot of skiers to leave, but we waited out and skied till they closed.

The staff is great. Jacob helped my family with rentals and was super thoughtful and helpful with my little ones. (2yrs and 5yrs). The set up is easy to navigate and the expansion they did a couple of years back adds depth one of the few places to ski. Tubing was awesome. Super friendly staff and the exchange students from Brasil were awesome and helpful with my children and wife. The overall experience was worth the money spent. Amazing management.

Parfrey's Glen State Natural Area

Mentioned on

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Parfrey's Glen State Natural Area is a stunning location in Wisconsin with a sandstone gorge featuring mossy walls, a creek leading to a waterfall, and shaded hiking trails. It is known as Wisconsin's first State Natural Area due to its remarkable beauty. The natural surroundings are breathtaking with frogs hopping over rocks and logs along the creek and various layers of lush moss on the stone walls. It offers peace and tranquility which makes it an absolute must-visit destination for nature lovers.
This is one of our favorite hikes in the area. The official trail is not very long and is not very difficult. You hike alongside a stream for a little ways. Once the official trail ends, many people continue hiking back up in the gorge to get to a small waterfall. This part of the hike is very slippery and is a make-your-own-hike type of walk. This is NOT an official part of the hike but it is allowed. If you choose to continue walking past the official trail, make sure you wear shoes that can get wet because you will be walking in amongst a stream. Also, this involves balancing on rocks and pieces of wood to zigzag across the stream up to the little waterfall. I would recommend this hike for young adults who are physically able to balance and maneuver up and around large, slippery rocks. This hike is not dog friendly. Dogs are not allowed. Also, one time we went here the parking lot was full. So, if you want to hike this on a weekend in the summer, be prepared for there to be a wait to find a parking spot. We have a blast every single time that we hike this trail. We love to create our own adventure here!

Such a pretty spot to hike! The trail is really nice. Would recommend some water friendly shoes or hiking boots for the last bit of the hike. You will be going through lots of rocky/watery areas so keep that in mind! The waterfall at the end is definitely worth the hike! Took us about an hour to go in and back. Would definitely visit again.

There is a $16 day pass but it works for all parks in the area to my understanding. Medium walk to get to the main waterfall at the end. You hike through little streams and huge rocks but so pretty and relaxing and worth it. If you take little ones there are a few spots to be careful at. Bathrooms at the beginning of the trail, parking lot to park at. Recommend this spot to check out If you like waterfalls, this place has a bunch of little ones. A great straight shot hike for when it’s kind of too hot. Sometimes I crave waterfalls, having grown up near more. I brought my dog here in the hopes of finding someplace silent to be by a waterfall and stop overthinking for an hour or so. When you think you get to the end, walk up the waterfall because the best and most secluded waterfall is past that. I’d recommend a walking stick and waterproof hiking shoes due to slippery conditions. But this is one of those places where you feel seen by your ancestors in a good way.

A Wisconsin State Park Daily or Annual pass is required to park at this trailhead. There is a decent size parking lot but this area does get busy on summer weekends. Street parking is not allowed unless you park a bit up the road. We took our 4 and 7 year olds who loved the challenge of the trail (after the 'maintained' delineation line). It was wild and adventurous and they had a blast leading us back and forth across the creek and climbing boulders. Definitely bring waterproof hiking shoes or water shoes with grip. It's a great place to be on a hot day - the water and rocks keep the ravine nice and cool. The kids were excited to see an American Giant Millipede and a really cool Common Whitetail dragonfly. There were so many butterflies too.

Great hidden spot to visit, the earlier the better as the parking lot fills up fast. A decent trek to the Glen but worth the walk. Bring water shoes to see the waterfall, impossible to get there with dry socks.

Wonderful place to visit. About a 15 minute hike to see. Take your water proof shoes or boots. Well worth the time to see. This was my favorite stop on our Wisconsin trip.

Beautiful is the word to describe this place! The hike to the little waterfall is really technical, and there are a few spots. Where you think the trail ends, but you have to cross the little creek to reconnect with the trail.

Devil's Lake State Park

Mentioned on
2 lists
State park
Nature & Parks
Campground
Devil's Lake State Park is a vast recreational area that features a 360-acre lake, sandy beaches, campgrounds, and food stands. Visitors can enjoy scenic hikes around the lake on rocky paths or climb up for breathtaking views of the stunning blue-green waters. The park is also pet-friendly but requires dogs to be leashed at all times. In addition to outdoor activities, visitors can challenge their minds with riddle-solving in escape rooms located nearby.
What a view? The view from the top of the cliff was absolutely stunning. There is a Trail that takes you all the way to the top where you can see the entire lake. When you enter the park, the admission fee is $16. You can enter and exit the park as long as you have the ticket on the dashboard. You can enjoy the lake using the paddleboard, canoes or kayaks. There is a fee for that and I believe it’s $38 for a ride. There is a visitor center and a nice big store where you can buy merchandise. Best times to go is June and July because the weather is nice and warm. Besides enjoying the lake, you can explore the trails take nature walks or simply sit and read a book by the lake. When I went there a few days back I was surprised to see how clean the area was, and the breathtaking views of the Devil lake. So if you haven’t visited this place yet, I feel you should put this as your bucket list and make sure to visit this place as soon as you get a chance! 😃

Devil's lake state park has something for everyone. The incredible and rocky skyline is perfect for those looking to challenge the peaks with either hiking or climbing. The placid waters of the lake are wonderful for swimming or kayaking. The deep and tranquil forests are wonderful for peaceful walks and adventurous treks. When not being active the park also hosts some great spots for camping, with a variety of both wooded and open sites. The park is additionally quite well maintained. Roads and trails are generally in good condition. The bathrooms are a bit more hit and miss, with some being quite clean and moderns, while others lag a bit behind. The distinction is easy to spot from the road for what that's worth. All in all, a great nature area for adventures of all kinds and memories waiting to be made.

Dangerous... but fun? 😂 This hike is not for the feint of heart. We decided to do the climb the hard way which consists of essentially climbing the side of a mountain that does not contain any sort of railings or protective measures. We saw multiple slip and almost lose footing...ourselves included. Many people with children of all ages including infants. The hike is quite strenuous depending on how you go about it. Bring drinks, snacks, and hope. 😂 There aren't any staff on the mountain whatsoever so you do need to have an honest conversation with yourself beforehand about whether or not you want to risk it for the biscuit or not. One hiker almost fell off the side of the cliff while we were hiking and was thankfully caught by nearby trees and then brought to safety. I know this review is all over the place but this is honestly what happened lol. The park overall is beautiful and a stunning presentation of nature... you just need to be prepared and wear GOOD hiking shoes. Cost for a pass is not expensive either. We would probably do it again, we just wouldn't choose the side mountain climb and would most likely go the long way up which is much safer.

11/03/25: The spectacular views at this park are incomparable. I hiked the East Bluff side of the park. I did part of the Ice Age Trail by hiking part of East Bluff Woods, East Bluff Trail, The Balanced Rock Trail down to the Lake, Part of the Grottos Trail and the Potholes Trail back up. I was going to hike more around the actual lake but the winds were gale force today. This park has easy trails, moderate trails and super difficult slippery trails. The hardest trail is the Balanced Rock Trail. I am an experienced hiker who had on trail runners and was using hiking poles and I slipped a few times and fell once. The potholes trail is a bit easier but not by much. I would not recommend attempting these trails in any type of weather. The rock steps are slippery when dry, down right dangerous when wet. The trails and out buildings are well maintained. I would recommend this park to both seasoned and new hikers. I would just recommend researching your trails before planning your trip.

We were only going to come for the morning but wound up spending the whole day. It was windy but when you were on the forest trail it was fine. The more adventurous in our group went up the east bluff trail, going up was easier then the trail down. We ate lunch at the onsite restaurant but wished we would have packed a picnic lunch like others had. We spent the afternoon by the lake and exploring the beach.

I was not able to spend much time there. I drove around the lake and I found out later that there are different areas off of different roads that you can get into different parts of the lake. So that park system is quite extensive. There is definitely some amazing hiking there. And at this time of the year, there were still a lot of hikers out there. The lake is beautiful.

Wow! I’m so thankful my wife’s coworker in Phoenix invited us out on his cabin cruiser for a day on the lake. It’s one of those places I probably never would’ve seen otherwise — absolutely stunning! The drive through the mountains was incredible, and then suddenly this huge, beautiful lake appeared. And the wild donkeys roaming the hills? Just amazing!
Tracy S — Google review
Beautiful place! Get to the parking lot by 9 am on a Sunday! And hope you don't need the bathroom until after the cleaning through is done. Blah! The gift shop/concessions open at 10 am. Both beaches became packed very quickly. The hikes are amazing but don't underestimate the climb or over estimate yourself. You don't need to be a pro, but hiking shoes, walking stick and lots of water is highly recommended! I didn't camp, just visited for the day.

Best ice cream I’ve ever had! Got huckleberry, and lemon cream. My daughter got plain vanilla and that was even so creamy and good. Love that you can see the milk cartons being filled. Nice outdoor area, my kid loved playing on the wooden tractor. Coming back for the tour!! Also, super good cheese curds

Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches and fresh milk. The ice cream is also very good. Customers are a good mix of visitors and locals.

We loved this place. Its a great destination for anyone needing a delicious place for home made ice cream or a great lunch meal. Unlimited milk with meal is a cute addition. The other local items for sale was great as well. We met a member of the family that owns the place while she was feeding the cows and goats. Had a great conversation too. If this place was close to us, we would make it at least a weekly stop. Staff was attentive, and pleasant to deal with. Make sure you do not miss this gem!

Delicious ice cream hands down! Whatever they do in the processing I didn’t get the curdling feeling I get in having dairy. This hidden gem in the middle of nowhere offers a quant ambiance and views of the country side while enjoying a meal/snack and or ice cream. A cornhole and playground for the kids/family to enjoy. Seating outside to enjoy the views.

Totally loved the prices and the food. Best maple bacon grilled cheese and tomatoe soup ever. And again, great prices for icecream We stated for hours bc the kids had so much fun

Tomato Basil soup is out of this world! They offered lactose free milk which I found was thoughtful. My husband says this place has the best grilled cheese and ice cream!

Easy to access spot right off of 90 just north of 94. Lots of varieties of cheese available -- fresh sliced or vacuum sealed -- plus many cheese curd flavors. Besides cheese, they also carry a good selection of fudge, sausage, candies and gifts. As they say on the postcard, stapled to your receipt, cheese is always the perfect gift! We did take a photo with the gigantic cow before we left, too. You just gotta!

If you are looking for fresh Wisconsin cheese then this is the place. They have a lot of cheese to choose from and souvenirs like that cheese head hat my daughter has on in the picture lol. Yes she had to have it. The ladies were really friendly and helpful when it came to asking questions about some of the cheeses. They also have crackers and they were really good...yum.

If you’re driving through this area and don’t stop here… you’re doing road trips wrong. First, you’re greeted by a giant cow guarding the parking lot like a dairy bouncer 🐄🚦. Then you look up and see a rat climbing a cheese sign the size of a billboard. Instant smiles guaranteed. Inside? Pure Wisconsin vibes. A glorious mix of local cheeses, spreads, jams (yes, plural, JAMS!!), and even quirky stickers and pins you didn’t know you needed. Everything feels fresh, local, and fun. The cashier? Absolute legend - packed my stuff with surgical precision like it was going on a space mission. Bottom line: this place turns a pit stop into a highlight. I’ll 100% be back every time I drive through - because life is too short to skip cheese and jam. 🧀✨

One of the bigger Cheesehauses I've had the pleasure to visit. They offer samples! Although they seem slightly bitter when asking for a few samples. At least thats how it came off. They are otherwise very helpful and quick. I had a 4 star experience with this being my second time coming in. I definitely will come back because of just the sheer amount they have to explore.

Really great spot. A huge selection of cheese. Really helpful employees and great picture opportunity with the cow. We got the cheese whips since we have never had them before and wished we had bought 5 bags. They were very good.

This charming chalet is the epitome of Wisconsin pride! Their cheese selection is off the charts. I highly recommend their cold pack cheese. I'm a connoisseur and Ehlenbach's gets the highest marks! The staff is energetic, friendly and super knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back!!

Locals seem to swear by this place. We were on our 2000 mile journey and just wanted some Wisconsin cheese and chanced on this place. Not a big venue but it has such a wide variety of flavor of geeze to choose from, including some 20yr old cheddar! Staff was friendly and helped my son to at least 5 samples! The hardest part was making decisions on what to get. We ended up with over $120 of cheese of over a dozen kinds, although I could've easily added a dozen more!

Small shop with lots of personality! The cheese and chocolate and honey are all priced to move and so yummy.

I love this cheesehaus! It is not a trip to visit Wisconsin family if I don’t stop here. Great cheese - they’ll give you samples of everything. Great fudge too. Nice deli. Cold beer. And lots of cheesy tchotchke.

They have a lot of different kinds of cheese available, which I have never seen anywhere before. It is nice that we can sample cheese before buying it. The staff is very nice. Fried cheese curds were okay - but nothing to boast about.
Joy P — Google review
The young man at the register was very knowledgeable and friendly with good attention to detail. Great samples. I recommend buying the dill garlic curds. The cheddar dip was also great. We bought both. They also have good fudge samples. Thank you as well for having ice to purchase. Very convenient for travelers like us. Keep up the great experience.

Even at closing time, there were plenty of cheese to go around for everyone, even for your house pet who might be a mouse! And a visit at Mousehouse Cheesehaus is not complete without a selfie with friends outside! 🧀 🐁

The MouseHouse Cheese has so many varieties. I mean i wish i could try half but its so many cheeses. The clerk was so Nice July 9, 2025. I was short because i came with the wrong card and left the other one in the truck but he still let me get the jalapeno cheddar. Oh boy is the spread delicious 😋😋😋 Thank you to the Clerk and MouseHouse Cheese.

Nice place for great cheese products and really good fudge. Sampled a few different flavors of fudge and bought some of the salted nut roll it was very good and not to sweet. The cheese curds were very flavorful with a good texture and just a little squeak when you bite into them.
Mike H — Google review
Fun spot to stop. Had a variety of cheeses and meats for pick up. As a roadside option to stop, it would be nice if they were more organized for travellers taking their product home for a longer ride to stay 'cold' even of it were bags for purchase bigger than a lunch bag. They had ice, but having more options would be beneficial.

What a fun and tasty experience. Thomas was great and helped guide us through the different types of cheese offerings. The Horseradish and chive Havarti was our favorite sample, but excited to try all of our finds.

Indian Lake County Park

Park
Nature & Parks
Walking trails, boating, cross-country skiing & historic chapel featured on 483 scenic acres.
This is a beautiful country park. Several trails are available to choose from for walks through woods and prairie. The lake looks picturesque. At the top of the hill, there is an old chapel that is very peaceful. There is a dog park here as well.
Brad C — Google review
It has beautiful trails and very interesting geography. The chapel on the hill is very interesting! Great history!

Lots of hiking trails and they are all well marked! Our dog loved it here. We went at 8am on a Sunday and only saw a few other hikers with their dogs.

Gorgeous park especially to view the autumn colors! 🍁 There are a variety of trails with various elevations. The trails are wide and desolate. Here, you can truly enjoy the sounds of the forest...it's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of life. The park has some incredible views, a stairclimb up to the peak elevation of the land and a historic chapel from the original owners of the land from the mid-1800s. There is plenty of parking, dog friendly, picnic tables and restrooms. A must visit!
Grace M — Google review
Such a great place to hike, share food n drinks. Beautiful place with great trails for every level of fitness. Bathrooms were clean. Very much enjoyed the beautiful views.
Kathy — Google review
Stopped here after passing by it often on WI-19. I was only able to stay a little bit, so I couldn't explore the park. The visit to the chapel on the hill was a great first impression. The trail is easy to follow up the hill and becomes a wooden boardwalk/staircase about halfway up, returning to dirt at the top. The small chapel was eerie to me, given many trees on the hill appear to be pointing away from it. The interior may be accessible. The chapel is near a great view overlooking Indian Lake.
Drgn1290 — Google review
Variety of trails - around lake, or through the woods, or climb up the hill to the chapel. Nice, new shelter with metal picnic tables near parking lot! It has a large, stone fire ring - but you need to bring your own chairs, and firewood. New bathrooms right next to shelter - not open entire year though. Interesting area across road from Indian Lake with a very picturesque ruins. I'm so glad we got to visit this beautiful and very well maintained park : )
Deborah — Google review
Love taking the dogs to the dog area here, even if there are some soggy spots with all the rain lately. It's usually not as busy or crowded as some of the others in the area and the trail is longer which I like. Kayaking on the lake is nice and quiet although I haven't had much luck fishing it. The hiking trails are great too! Nice park.
