Really interesting place. Such important history happened here. Definitely felt like hollowed ground walking around. Very good signage describing what you are looking at. Additionally, the 19 minute video at the visitor center is very informative.

I visited Fort Laramie National Historic Site during the live event weekend, and it was such a great experience. The reenactments and demonstrations really brought history to life, and the staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable. It’s a beautiful place to explore and learn more about the people who lived and traveled through here. Definitely worth the visit!

A wonderful way to spend a day Viewing a historic place. Immersed in history, some of the buildings have been recreated as they once were, you are welcome to walk the grounds and view the buildings, there are also many books about the area. The native people's and the pioneers, as well as a short film, that's very informative.

Great site for adults and kids. Good little visitor center with a 18 minute video in theatre. Barracks, post office, jail, and officer houses were cool to see as they are setup with original articles and are very viewable. Barracks was great with sarsaparilla, root beer, and cream soda available. Be sure to get there by noon for the daily canon firing and informative introduction by park ranger.

It's a gem! Kinda hidden away but it's definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy history. Tons of artifacts and things to look at. There is some walking so dress accordingly. There isn't much shade from the summer sun so if bring an umbrella for comfort.

Well preserved historic fort where important events in American history occurred. The fort began as a trading post in the 1830s. It was purchased by the U.S. army in 1849 to protect the emigrants traveling to Oregon and California. It is a few miles off of highway 26. I had a little trouble finding the fort as Google maps first had me stop at the iron bridge, saying that was the fort, and it took awhile to figure out that it was much further down the road. It is an excellent site to learn about the U.S. army and Native Americans in the area in the mid-19th century. A nice walking trail loops around the historic buildings. You can go inside most of the buildings and rooms have glass barriers, so you can see the furnished rooms inside. I also liked the displays and photos on the eventual deterioration of the buildings when the fort closed in the 1890s and subsequent excavations and renovations. I highly recommend visiting the fort if old buildings and American history interest you.

Definitely stop by even if you aren't into trains. Very insightful. Down side is there weren't any trains to look at or tour. So kinda of a let down. The other big boy was at a park a few miles away and fenced off and homeless people hanging around so had to make it quick to see the train.

Small museum inside the historic Cheyenne Train Station. The museum only covers a small portion of the station with the large waiting room coming the most sq feet. This makes for a great quick stop if you are in the area.

This museum is full of information related to building the Union Pacific through Wyoming and its historical operation. A great HO model is upstairs. Adults are $10. Plan to spend 90 minutes there.

I had the pleasure of visiting New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins with my daughter, my partner, and her family — and let me just say, this place exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric but relaxed. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and impressively knowledgeable about the beers, which made the whole tasting experience even more enjoyable. We started off with a couple of flights to get a sense of the variety, and it was hard to pick a favorite — they were that good. But once I did, I stuck with a few pours of my top picks, and every sip was a reminder of how expertly crafted their beer is. There was a Mexican food truck on-site that seriously blew us away. The food was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the beers. The indoor space was welcoming and full of energy, but it’s the outdoor area that really shines — wide open, dog-friendly, and full of life with kids running around, families laughing, and groups just enjoying the day. It felt like the backyard party you always want to be invited to. This wasn’t just a trip to a brewery — it was an experience. One of those rare places that nails everything: the beer, the food, the vibe, the people, the setting. I’d come back in a heartbeat, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to make the trip. New Belgium, you’ve got something special going on. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing.

Just a short walk from the middle of Old Town, New Belgium Brewery is worth the trip. Whether you are a fan of Fat Tire or just like to try some new beer varieties, there is something for everyone here. The large, open, outside area is an awesome place to sit and enjoy the wonderful Colorado climate and delicious beers. There was a food truck for snacking and plenty of NB paraphernalia in the gift shop.

Guessing that this is in everyone's list of breweries to visit in town. If not it should be. Fabulous facility with beautiful grounds and a relaxing vibe. All of the usual NB beers on tap and several other must-haves. The sThe staff was very accommodating and happy to engage in conversation and answer many of the same questions they get asked over and over again. Make it a stop. You won't regret it!

Got a case of beer from Costco and there's like 1 that is drinkable. The rest is fine if you like some mystery flavor. Maybe it's raspberry maybe it's dead orphan meat. Ohh this one is a nappy beer with a hint of collection of nail clippings. The worst purchase I've ever made beer wise. And I have made quite a few poor decisions in my day.

I went on this beer tour in 2022 and was so impressed that I brought a bachelor party back here in 2025. The space is beautiful, the tour is interesting (though hot for the first section, so be prepared), and for your money you get a lot of delicious beer. If you’re interested in beer or how anything is made, it’s a don’t miss. Make sure to buy tickets well in advance - they sell out fast.

This brewery has one of the nicer outside spaces; it is very open and vast. I never felt like I was sitting on top of anyone . The beer selection was great and the flights were super smooth. Overall it was a great time and I’ll definitely be back!

We went to this brewery while doing a roadtrip. We did a tour with Cynthia. It was perfect ! We absolutely loved the tour ! Very interesting and fun. I love that you get to see from the beginning to the very end of the process. We stayed after to enjoy a beer. Cynthia was very nice ! The outside area is very nice and the beers are very good ! Definitely would recommend. We even left with suggestions of what to do in Fort Collins ! Would defintely recommend to visit this place and take the tour !

Visited the Wild Animal Sanctuary and really enjoyed the opportunity to see rescued animals in comfortable and safe habitats that had obviously been built with the animal’s safety and comfort in mind first, rather than for a visitor’s — entirely appropriate as most were rescued from bad situations before coming to the sanctuary. The elevated walkway (accessible to wheelchair users as well) allows visitors to see the animals without causing them to be fearful or nervous. Read the sanctuary’s website BEFORE you visit, so that you are aware there are times the animals may be more active and that it’s not a zoo or game park where the animals are on display, but a sanctuary. There’s a five or so minute video to watch before you go on the walkway, but I recommend reading Melinda Shallenberger’x book “Forever Wild” before visiting, to be able to fully appreciate the organization’s work. The book gives the backstory of the sanctuary’s founding and the incredible animal rescues they have pulled off, as well as providing context on the captive animal crises. Highly recommend the Wild Animal Sanctuary, but don’t come expecting to it to be a zoo with all animals on display. It’s a very different experience. And bring your walking shoes as well as clothing appropriate to walk three miles outdoors, which is the length of the elevated walkway. One very helpful part of the visit is that you receive a complimentary monocular that is great to be able to see faraway animals better and look for animals who may be resting and hard to see.

I highly enjoyed my visit & will definitely be coming back. We spoke with Marilyn & Henry and they answered every question we had, told us backstories on the animals we saw & were so kind and knowledgeable. Highlight of the trip was definitely watching Hunter & Simba cuddle. We found Marilyn after the fact & she told us all about them. On the way home, I googled their story & cried like a baby. 10/10.

Great place to see animals that have been rescued. However, this is not a Zoo and it is 3 miles along an elevated walkway to see the wild cornovors. Weather does also matter. If its hot the big cats like to hide and during the winter some bears like to hibernate. Most animals will likely hide in heat however. The sanctuary staff and volunteers are very nice and they also gave me free Mon binoculars.

Wow, what a great place and huge! Loved the catwalk. To be able to look down on the animals was amazing. It also allowed you to see the animals in the distance. Like that they handed each group a monoular to help see the animals up close. I do have to say admission is quite expensive but after you see the sanctuary you can understand why.

I’m not a zoo person because we’ve seen so many animals in their natural habitats all over the world and most zoo settings aren’t good for the animals. This sanctuary exceeded my expectations. It’s an amazing charity for these animals whom many of are saved from stupid and irresponsible humans. They have done amazing things with this land and for these animals. The facility is great for all ages. You can use a stroller or wheelchair for all of the viewing which is up on a platform so you can look down and across at the animals. The staff and volunteers are excellent. There are several places to go to the bathroom, grab a drink or snack along the way on the 1.5 mile walk out. You return the same way so it’s 3 miles total. We arrived right as they opened at 10 and stayed 2.5 hours. Even at lunch time many animals were active . We will definitely go back. We plan on trying the dusk timeframe .

We really liked the sanctuary. It was the first time we’d been there. However, it was really windy that day, so we didn’t go the whole way. The friendly staff member who was on the walkway pointed out some animals that we hadn’t seen. She and the information posts along the way were very informative. Definitely plan to go back. The Lion King display was exceptional.

I travel from Utah every year for the peaceful feeling that permeates this place. Seeing the huge variety of animals and hearing their stories from the stress free view of the boardwalk is one of my favorite experiences. Bring binoculars! They have restaurants at the beginning and end of the boardwalk as well as eating areas so you can take a break and watch the animals at the same time. Be prepared for a variety of weather and a long adventure walk.

I feel this is a Must Go! And if you're smart about it you can get cheap tickets to ride instead of paying full price. It's a short ride to the top where you'll find a small cafe and gift shop. I recommend having lunch then taking the hike to the summit! The 360 views are Spectacular, who knew Estes is actually so BIG. All the staff was Super Friendly too. Great way to spend an afternoon!

The tram was a lot of fun and the operators were super friendly and very pleasant to chat with. At the top it's worth trying to hike up to the summit for some amazing views of the valley. The cafe was well maintained and had a decent menu. We weren't hungry but did pick up a coffee and hot cocoa. They also have alcoholic beverages but it was morning so had to pass. Prices are reasonable and online with what you'd expect. Tram was a lot of fun and gorgeous views!

The ride was 5 minutes in a small compartment with no seats. View was nice going up. Cafe was closed, but the small souvenir shop was open (with bathrooms). The views were nice but I was expecting more snow-capped mountains. Nice, but not really worth the price.

Such a fun experience here in Estes Park. We had such a great time heading up to the mountain and hanging out on top. What a fun way to see things from up so high. Note: We had timed tickets and had to wait until our designated time to enter.

Hello Everyone, Now going up to the Tramway was amazing. I have been going to Estes Park for such a long time. I did not realize that this was in that location. Such beautiful site to see make sure you take a backpack, snacks, sunscreen, water, and enjoy the view. They have picnic tables and a gift shop and serve sandwich, snacks, and sweets. now you do have to pay for parking, which is $6.50 for four hours. But you can stay at this location and ride the last cart down. 3.25 time ride going up T 3h

This was our favorite activity in Estes Park. Highly recommend going in early morning. The crowds were coming in as we were finishing up. The hike at the top was the best of our trip with beautiful 360 views.

Absolutely wonderful area to have a drink, eat, shop, or just wander around looking at people. Lots of the restaurants on the mall have patios or rooftop decks. They have banned on the bricks every Wednesday night during the summer. Very festive atmosphere! We loved it!

This is a first time at the Pearl Street mall, and what a great vibe. The shops were so cute, and what an amazing variety. We had lunch down there as well, and it was delicious. Such a lovely spot!

Super fun time just walking around. Got some souvenir shirts. Ate dinner at Salt. My favorite store was the Boulder Bookstore. So cute and surprisingly huge. Enjoyed our time here just walking and people watching. Parking is a max of $3 on weekdays and free on weekends. Easy experience paying. Just scan the code and pay by phone.

If you can think it, they sell it here! It’s a smoke free vape free outdoor area that is pet friendly with every conceivable shopping need met! They have street food and some amazing restaurants. They have unique candy stores , clothing, stores, and much much more. There is live music sporadically posed in different spots throughout the area and there are people busking and performing many different musical instruments. I heard a harp,guitar, drums and a live choir singing a-cappella while I was there yesterday. This is definitely something to experience. I give it a 10 out of 10.!!!

Pearl Street Mall is a fun, walkable spot with a great mix of shops, restaurants, and coffee spots. It has a lively but relaxed vibe, making it a great place to wander for a few hours. Whether you're grabbing a coffee, browsing unique stores, or just people-watching, there's always something interesting going on. The street itself is charming, with plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The only downside is parking—it can be tricky to find a good spot, especially on busy days. But if you're in Boulder, it's definitely worth checking out!

Loved loved loved this park. Several trails to choose from with absolutely beautiful mountain, city and sunrise/sunset views. It is quite busy and parking is limited, shuttles are available. It is Free... and even so I would definitely pay to use this park.

Chautauqua Park – Boulder’s Must-See Escape Chautauqua Park is pure Boulder magic. 🌿 The Flatirons rise dramatically above you, and Gregory Canyon offers a quieter, more peaceful trail if you want to step away from the crowds. Here’s the insider tip: go on a weekday. Parking is far less stressful, the trails are calmer, and you really get to soak in the beauty without the weekend rush. If you need trail snacks or a little post-hike fuel, Whole Foods Market is close by, and if you’re here on a Wednesday, the Boulder Farmers Market is just a 5-minute drive or a scenic 25-minute walk from the park. Fresh fruit, local bites, and mountain views? Yes, please. Between the hikes, the views, and the Boulder charm, Chautauqua is an absolute must if you want to experience the heart of the Rockies. 🌄

The cabins are very pleasant. Clean and comfortable Rustic but with wifi and in summertime you can sit outside and listen to the concerts in the Chautauqua concert venue. The paths on either side of the village of cabins are perfect good for a short hike or wood up to the mountain top. I saw bear cat, which means bears usually and a beautiful dear couple hugging the road - people safety- and that buck had a very big rack. Well it’s still there pretty much as it’s always been. I highly recommend a visit. A few of the cabins are privately owned so that gives the atmosphere appear something better than a campground. There’s an ice cream shop so be prepared to put on a pound and the restaurant is good for a few meals at least before you get tired. I hope their menu coffee is goodand so is the breakfast

We waited until late afternoon to go, when the parking lot wasn't so full. The hike, though rated easy, might be a little challenging for some. Just take your time and you'll get to the turnaround on the Chautauqua trail around the .85 mile mark. After that, it's mostly downhill! Make sure you have plenty of water.

Absolutely beautiful trails here. Did the Royal arch trail, and it is one of the most beautiful in Colorado! Very tough, but worth the pain to make it to the view!

This was our first family trip to the zoo. We enjoyed ourselves. Lots of animals to see. We caught the elephant show so that was pretty cool. The zoo was clean and stroller friendly. It was nice that they had family restrooms. Parking was free and the parking deck allowed us to park in the shade so the car didn't get too hot. Overall we had a great experience.

Was a cool place! Very large and a lot of animals! This is actually the first zoo I've visited that had Hyenas, so that thoroughly pleased me! They had this awesome Lorikeet section where it is possible to feed them and they can fly on you but you cannot touch them, which I understand. The Primates area was pretty cool got to see Gorillas up close, some orangutans, I'm not too sure about the Mandrill section but they seemed sad, plus there was a sign saying they've been expressing strange behaviors. OOHHH and they had an area with an Eye eye that was neat. The zoo is actually so large, it was difficult to navigate around even with a map, but not a negative. They just closed a bit early for my liking. They closed at 4 and we were only about... 75% through the park? Also a bit of construction going on. Oh and another awesome thing was all the squirrels and Rabbits roaming all around the park

Our trip to the Denver Zoo was an absolute blast! The grounds are beautiful, clean, and easy to walk through — you can tell the staff really cares about the animals and the guests. The Denver Zoo is absolutely amazing! 🐘 Every visit feels like a new adventure. The exhibits are beautifully designed, the animals look well cared for, and the staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. My son’s favorite part is seeing the elephants - he could stand there for hours watching them! 🥰 It’s such a wonderful place for families, and we love how clean, shaded, and easy to explore it is. There’s always something exciting going on, whether it’s a special event or just a sunny day surrounded by wildlife. We have gone to the zoo twice this month for Boo at the zoo. The first night was great fun. The lights everywhere were amazing. The second night there were some lights but they were mostly turned off. That was disappointing. But, we had a great family and friends outing. The first night not being able to see the animals in the dark was a bummer. The second night we went earlier and we were able to see some of the animals. The seals are my favorite. Since they would only let us go one way around the zoo we didn't get to see any of the seals, penguins etc.

Wonderful zoo. Really enjoyed it. You need to buy tickets for a set time, and make sure you arrive in the allotted window. Staff was super nice. Busy on a Saturday as expected. Fantastic reptile house. Wallaby exhibit is neat but they are super lazy. Zoo is highly recommended.

We visited the Denver Botanic Gardens with the whole family on Sunday at 11 a.m. The day was lovely with nice, quite warm weather. There were no spots in the outdoor parking lot, so we waited a little for someone to leave. ​The autumn garden deserves special attention. The atmosphere is very peaceful and calming. It reminds us of our native home. The beautiful scents of flowers and autumn leaves, in harmony with the smell of moisture from the local ponds and fountains, truly delight the heart. ​Some parts of the garden are closed due to ongoing work for Halloween preparations. We were very happy to have the opportunity to grab a quick bite at the local bistro. We really enjoyed their Hive Burgers. ​I recommend visiting the Botanic Gardens in all seasons. It is always beautiful in its own unique way.

My recent trip was fantastic, and I was especially impressed by the way the Gardens blend natural beauty with thoughtful, modern design. The Science Pyramid is a major highlight—the hexagonal, honeycomb exterior is a striking piece of architecture (as seen in the photos!) that beautifully introduces the concepts of biomimicry and conservation science. It's truly eye-catching and creates a wonderful focal point for the campus. Beyond the architecture, the gardens themselves are a vibrant escape. From the rich green textures of the tropical conservatory (like the beautiful palms and ferns in the images) to the colorful outdoor beds, everything is meticulously maintained. The variety is outstanding, making it easy to spend hours wandering through different biomes. Whether you're a serious botanist or just looking for a peaceful, beautiful afternoon, this place delivers. Don't miss the chance to explore the different water features and the varied foliage! Highly recommend it.

The Denver botanic gardens is a wonderful oasis in a busy city neighborhood. We love all of the landscape design and attention to detail. While it was crowded on a weekend, there was plenty of room in the beautiful landscaped areas and walkways to see and enjoy this botanic garden. They have a wonderful shop with some beautiful handicrafts and gifts that are nature-themed. It definitely was worth it making a trip to this beautiful garden.

So beautiful. Even if you have no interest in gardening yourself, an oasis of calm and beauty, with a koi pind and water features. perfect for a mini break in your day, with free parking! nice little cafe, too. When its snowing, the green houses are magical. If you do garden, or love houseplants, you will be inspired. I treated myself to a membership. So worth it, because i can stop in for a quick zen break whenever im in the neighborhood .

Oct 2025 Last visit about 8 years ago and very happy about the addition of more dining options. As this visit was near Halloween, the garden was showing this theme all over . The area is misleading as it is actually bigger than it seems. Walking around to really visit each area would probably take at least 2 hours. I loved the Japanese Garden best before but, was disappointed that it is but a shell of what it was. It now seems an afterthought, and 1 can easily miss it. One thing worth mentioning is the pebbled walk in the Japanese garden. I felt slipping on it was highly possible. Although it was just a small walkway, still be aware. As it is fall, the blooms were not at its finest but, I am sure, it's beautiful in the spring. Love the many benches scattered all over where 1 can take a rest. 👍 After this return visit, will definitely be back. Etc: Parking is tricky. If your visit is on one of those busy days, you could end up driving around the neighborhood looking for parking. We arrived a little before 11am on a weekday, and, drove around 10 mins to finally park about 3 blocks away. Also, be sure to check their website for daily closures. Depending on the season, the Gardens have numerous events that they close early.

Lots of fun plants, seasonal herb gardens and huge collections of tropical climate plants in the greenhouses. Worth at least 2-3 trips, so much to see you can't see it all in one day. I'll definitely be back to check out more!

No water fountains that i saw.Disabled parking fills more than an hour before game starts.Very well organized and courteous people.$23 parking and easy to get out in first 15 Minutes.Bus to transport inside parking but there is a line.One side of stadium be third baseline had shadow whole The rest was baking hot.No long bathroom lines! Very expensive beer $11-15.Ne careful what seats you buy. Disabled people have personal assistants and for those using a walker is very difficult cu hold on to bars when descending on stairs because of wrong spacing of bars.Please Avoid the stairs if you have a cane.

The park was clean and comfortable. All seats provided excellent viewing. Multiple vendors offered a variety of services and prices that were reasonable. I would highly recommend this park of you love baseball.

Coors Field is one of the best ballparks around! The atmosphere is always incredible - from the mountain views to the energy of the crowd, it’s such a fun experience whether you’re a big baseball fan or just there for a great day out. The stadium is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food and drink options never disappoint. If you’re in the Denver area, catching a game at Coors Field is an absolute must! ⚾️🌄

An excellent place to see a game. Very fun atmosphere and great sightlines from every location. Beautiful view from several parts of the stadium. Also neat to see the row of purple seats at the mile high mark.

Fun way to spend the afternoon! Even better when the Rockies win! Did you know that you can make reservations for the Mountain Ranch Bar & Grille and for $32 a person you can sit inside/outside in the shade and comfy seats and eat at the buffet. Don’t tell anyone about this cool, secret spot!

Beautiful stadium. We want to a day game so it got pretty hot. If you are attending a day game, consider tickets towards the back of a section that has a cover. Loved that they had sunscreen at the first aid stations and had water refill stations. We enjoyed the view from the roof and by the bullpens before we sat in our seats. I also loved that they had a kids food area with very reasonable prices! It’s right by the playground. Entertainment between innings could be more exciting.

We went to The Warning Track for a work party and had a great time. Only downside was that it was 100F outside so naturally it was very warm. The bartender had a great attitude as did the bouncer. Food was constantly replenished and was pretty good for stadium catering. There were 2 bathrooms within the room so we didn’t need to go in and out. We had a good time!

If you visit Denver, Colorado, visit the 16th Street Mall. There are different food options to choose from, and you can take a nice walk.

This was disappointing. I am a big supporter of pedestrianized streets and place making but this feels like it has failed to live up to it's potential. The center of the wide street is left open, possibly reserved for buses, though we never saw any. While some very nice and cute seating and other features have been created on the sidewalks the failure to utilize the majority of the street leaves it feeling a bit barren. Also the stores along the street are often chains like H&M & Target and not the mix of interesting smaller local shops you'll find on Boulder's Pearl Street or Linden St. in Ft. Collins. Still worth checking out after visiting the Capitol or the great History & Art Museums on the other side of the park as there seems to be some decent dining options, including outdoor dining, but it could be so much more.

16th Street was ok. It’s a Friday and overcast so not much people out. But if you like to drink alcohol there’s plenty of places for that. Good place to take walk.

This is a lovely place to spend a day. I enjoyed all the boutique shops, the restaurants, and even passed through a few places just to people watch for a while. Quite the gatherings here on weekends. But you can visit any day of the week and I guarantee you’ll have a good time. Check out the bowling alley for extra fun.

Denver’s 16th Street Mall is a 1.7-mile pedestrian corridor in downtown, offering shopping, dining, and entertainment. The free shuttle makes getting around easy, and nearby attractions include the Central Library and Paramount Theatre. Renovations have improved the area, though visitors should be mindful of occasional safety concerns.

A little history here before I begin my review. In the 1990s the 16th Street Mall was a hub for social interactions and shopping galore. Many who lived in the Downtown area would enjoy the peace and serenity of the 16th Street Mall at night. The 16th Street Mall has been rebuild and redesign twice now in Denver's history. With that said. Unfortunately, when Colorado legalized marijuana in the 2000s is when the 16th Street Mall became a liability to those that went there. Gangs, homeless drug addicts, and crime increased and many clean and sober hard working taxpayers didn't feel safe unless they were carrying a side arm for protection. One couldn't escape the smell of marijuana that enveloped the Mall from all the smoking done there. Many businesses closed up as a result of less foot traffic meaning customers were far and few. Even tourist dared not travel the Mall at night. From news reports in 2025 that I have read about the rebuild of the 16th Street Mall now just 16th Street. The Mall part was dropped under a $100k ad blitz. My wife and I had to move from Denver to Minnesota in 2019, but do remember the 16th Street Mall of old before marijuana legalization.

Denver hates people actually spending time at this mall. Most of the parking is max 2 hours which is maybe just enough time for a dinner and they WILL give you a parking ticket once it's 1+ minute overdue. I don't know why I keep making efforts to visit downtown just to get tickets when I'm literally 10 minutes late to my car.

Great little museum that highlights Buffalo Bill, his shows and his positive impact on the people around him. Great displays of saddles, cloths, guns and guns from his colorful life. Cost is very reasonable and The Cody burial site (he and his wife) is just a short walk up the hill.

The museum was interesting and the tickets were extremely reasonable at $5/piece. Gives you access to real bathrooms as well, which was better than the porta potty options outside. The museum had a lot to see and read, along with the gravesite outside. Spent about 30-45 minutes here. The view was nice from up there as well.

I was driving along I-70 W from Denver when I spotted the sign for Buffalo Bill’s Grave and decided to take a spontaneous detour . One of the best road trip decisions I’ve made! The drive up Lookout Mountain took about 10 minutes and I even made a quick stop for amazing ground coffee at Et Voila French Bakery nearby. There’s no admission fee to visit the grave and the site has plenty of free parking. You can easily walk around or just stop at one of the scenic overlooks for a breathtaking 360 degree view of the mountains and Denver below. It’s immediately clear why Buffalo Bill himself wanted to be buried here the view alone is worth the trip. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to visit the museum, but the historic grave, the peaceful setting and the panoramic views made it absolutely worthwhile. A real piece of American history, beautifully preserved and easy to access. Perfect quick stop for anyone traveling along I-70! Tip: Bring a camera — the views and the monument are incredibly photogenic.

Happened to see the sign for this when traveling to Idaho Springs so I went to take a look & was not disappointed! I had heard the name Buffalo Bill but certainly did not know what an impact he had on this area. it was a lot of fun to explore the museum and see the mountain towns from the overlook.

Very cool little museum. Tons of personal artifacts from the Cody family and lots of good Buffalo Bill history. Wish the gift shop and cafe were still open. Good little stop outside of Denver and you can explore the Denver Mountain parks.

Before visiting I had a good idea of who Buffalo Bill was but after visiting here. Wow, this guy was something truly amazing and lived quite the life. The museum had a ton of amazing artifacts, guns, Native American artifacts and even stuff to keep the tweens busy. I would visit again if I come back to Golden again. Highly suggest checking this out and the view is quite amazing up there! 😎

Our first trip to Denver, and this was a must see. The museum is quiet, clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the museum and the surrounding area. The view was breathtaking, literally. If you have ANY sort of fear of heights at all, I don't recommend the trip up, or the lookout area. For us though, it was great and I do think everyone that can handle the height should experience this.

Wow. Wow. Wow. First time here for a concert, and this place is BONKERS cool! Great views. Obviously. Great sounding show. Good food and beverage access and options. I need to come back during the day and check out the museum and the surrounding areas. Sooo cool!

We had seen it years back and we still decided to come back again in Nov 2025. We took some time to hike back side (entrance 2)of the Amphitheatre and it was nice. We only did small part of hike due to time, but one could spend a day.

Magnificent amphitheater from the surroundings to the engineering and design. If you ever get the opportunity to see a concert or service….go. Amphitheater looks to the east so sunrise services are spectacular and one is not looking into the sun for evening concerts. We were there and they were testing the sound system…. Quite impressive in an empty amphitheater. Take a look at the museum below and see the hall of fame performers.

Always delivers! Visit and experience the museum! The restaurant is also really good with plenty of outdoor seating. Love the history and that it is completely accessible to the public. There are also miles and miles of trails to enjoy the stunning beauty! If you are lucky enough to go to an actual concert, it is super!

I thought there might be more of a trail system like garden of the Gods but it was all just paths to and from parking lots to the amphitheater. I was not there for a performance, jusy wanted to see the famed area. It is beautiful, there is some interesting info in the visitors center but its really just a performance venue. Maybe I wil return for a concert, im sure its an amazing experience.

Our first visit to this state park. Visiting from out of state. Decided that we love to hike and wanted to see what this state has. It's a beautiful park. Has many trails and places to walk. You definitely want to be prepared. Water is essential. Didn't see much wildlife but I know when we were hiking it was a bit warm. Visitor Center was nice. The team of workers are very thoughtful and friendly. Last note. If you are walking to the visitor center. Look at the path on the left. It's a small road. But easier to walk if you have mobility issues.

Gorgeous Park! The visitors center is worth the slight uphill climb. I did the shortest trail and the views were beautiful. Can't wait to visit again and do a more challenging trail!

Loved this park! We went on a Sunday afternoon in October and we had to wait about 10 mins until a few cars left (the max is 100 cars at a time). It was a beautiful park and we talked to the nicest lady at the visitor center. We hiked a 3 mile loop from there and had some beautiful views! This is a hidden gem and you should check it out if you’re in the area!

Beautiful and don't clime on the rocks they are very serious about conservation. Still definitely worth the hike. it's very easy and all reward unless you go off trail I saw a hole family getting tickets last time I was there. Be safe and enjoy the vew

BEAUTIFUL! What a day hiking around this park in late spring. Wildflowers, lots of trails and what a view! We arrived early on a gorgeous Saturday morning and spent the day wandering around. My personal highlight of the day was the bull snake hauling tail across a path. This snake had places to go and vermin to eat. This is a no dog park. Lucky for you if you didn't check the website for alerts, regulations and need to knows. There is a for a fee dog kennel right outside an entrance for you to drop fido off while you hike around. I have no idea how quickly it fills up. The ranger station is a beautiful building with excellent interpretive displays. The display on how many years your litter takes to break down is eye opening and yes, this includes pistachio shells. Small gift shop in the station with the essential stickers, t-shirts and postcards. #COParksPassport

Roxborough State Park is absolutely amazing. The trails are super clean and well maintained, and I found them really easy to walk, perfect for a peaceful day out in nature. It wasn’t too busy when I went, which made the experience even better. The scenery is stunning, those red rock formations are just beautiful. Whether you’re hiking or just looking to relax in a quiet, natural setting, this place is a hidden gem.

An absolutely beautiful park, don't be fooled by the entrance area which is flat. A relatively easy walk, and easy to make as long or short as you like. Loved this park for its rock formations.....and beautiful sky and cloud features when we were there. Easy to get to as well.

This was great for a day trip and I can say as a native had never realized they did tours! We walked in on the hour and were able to join the tour group but after us it was full so I would recommend getting there 20 min early or on weekends making a reservation. A short bus ride to the tunnel entrance and then a tour from the top to the bottom of the mill. We learned A LOT. I would say if you have mobility or breathing issues this isn’t the place to go. Your time in the mine tunnel is short as is the distance you can travel inside it. The mill is dusty and there are tons of crazy old stairs. The price for the tour was a little steep $30 for adults and $20 for kids plus they state the tour guides work on tips. It was a full 1+ hours with the tour and the gold panning. I would totally recommend but there are going to be people who don’t feel the price is worth it. Also note that no gold was found here it was merely a tunnel for transporting it to the mill. There are lots of other mines to visit in the area too.

Overall a great tour! Understanding the logistics and economics involved, considering halving the maximum tour size. Our guide would start talking in the next area before half of the folks on our tour were able to get there. But he was very informative and knowledgeable. Also, think about adding captions to the video tour show before the tour ends.

Such a fun and unique experience! You get to explore a bit of the mines and learn a lot about the history of gold mining in Colorado along the way. Yes, you do get to look for gold. A slight disclaimer, you will only find 1 - 3 specs and it is in a separate basin. However, it's fun and informative nonetheless.

I had an absolute blast at Argo Mill & Tunnel in Idaho Springs! Our tour guide Sam was fantastic knowledgeable, engaging, and full of enthusiasm. He brought the history to life and made sure everyone was included. The tour was hands on and fun, from the breathtaking mill structure to gold panning in the final pit. If you enjoy local history and a bit of adventure, this one’s a must do with an awesome guide at the helm.

We were provided information on the mine, mining process and gold processing. You will walk through the old gold mill and get a glimpse of the ARGO water drainage and cart train tunnel. You are also provided a pan of sand to pan for some gold flakes you can keep. While interesting, I'm not sure it is worth the $30 a piece for entry.

Fun experience, different from other mine tours. Kids loved that gold panning was a part of it. Running water and bathrooms before and after tour. FYI- with the ongoing construction and updates, the roads in may differ from your gps/map.

It was a great time. Got to learn a lot about the area and the mine. Thomas was our guide and really helped make the experience that more awesome with all the knowledge of the site new and old. I wouldn’t skip the experience and can’t wait to come back and see the expansion of the Argo going up the mountain.

Day visit during the Summer ... Only 1.5 hrs from Denver. The drive is breathtaking. Great customer service. We decided to book an e-bike tour the same day, last minute so we had to call. We did the Riverside tour but the mountain tour was also an option. If we had arrived earlier maybe we could have done both. Included with it was a day pass for the gondola and $12 drink voucher (can only be redeemed on resort owned restaurants. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. The bikes were pretty comfortable. The only disappointment was the food options after.

Rooms were very nice. Not a hotel but hotel-like. Multiple restaurants were shutdown during our stay (the one we wanted to go to was shutdown for a private event) & restaurant shutdowns weren't mentioned when we booked. One of the 2 mountain slides was also shutdown. Other than that a nice place to visit.

Winter Park is a great family ski resort. Nice accommodations and cute little village. The stores do close down by 6pm or so, not a lot of nightlife but great for families that like to hang out.

The only downside was no air conditioning and at night the room was very warm and you couldn't open the bed room windows. And one of the rooms a family member was in( our meet up area) kitchen sink was backed up the entire time and maintenance came with a plunger but didn't fix the problem during the 3 days we were there.

Spoke with Nikki in Customer Service at 4:58pm (they close at 5pm). Was thankful she answered the phone and was extremely helpful! She stayed on the phone with me and tried to find an answer to my questions. Can't said enough kind things about Nikki and the team at Winter Park. We are headed there this summer for a concert and had some questions. We always have a great time skiing, but had a few questions about summer activities. Thank you Nikki!

At the top we ran into so many mountain goats and marmots! We hiked to the top, which was a short trail with some mild elevation gains. The elevation definitely made a huge difference. Beautiful street in fall colors!

Fun for all ages; cold on top of the mountain, a light garment is advisable. Gondolas are free to hop in and out, coaster was great. A place for families with dogs, young and old alike. Love it!

We took the gondola up to Breckenridge Ski Resort — it’s the third stop — and when you get out, even in summer, there’s plenty to do. You can ride the mountain slide, play mini golf, or check out a few other fun activities. There’s a nice outside restaurant and bar area where you can relax, and I loved that they had big chess set up too. Being up there was gorgeous — the mountain views are amazing. If you want to go even higher, you can take a chairlift up to the very top. I really enjoyed the whole experience. It’s a great spot to spend time in the summer, not just winter.

Favorite place to take the family skiing!! The double black diamond trains are the best with breathtaking views. Even during holiday weekends, this resort does not feel crowded at all. Highly suggest getting an epic pass and pre-purchase your lift tickets Trails are very well groomed, and average snowfall Here is perfect.

It's our first time in Breckenridge (my husband and I) and we're in love! We're definitely coming back. We don't ski, and we like to travel off season. We're here in the fall and loving every minute of it. There's so much to see and so many places to visit and drive through, it's never a dull moment. You don't want to drive anywhere? You can always hike the slopes and enjoy the views from up above. It reminds me of my childhood spent hiking in the Carpathian mountains. If you have a chance to come here even off season, take it. You won't regret it.

Fun summer day on the mountain, plenty to do for all ages. The gravity coaster is a blast as was the slide. Taking the chair lift to the top, and back down, gives you awesome views of the mountains and the valley.

Fun activities, alpine slides and alpine roller coasters, along with some other stuff like bungee trampolines. The alpine slides were very fun but the waits made them almost not worth it. And it was very expensive. Expect at least ~$100 dollars unless you only want to go on one ride (which would be ~$45) We also skipped lunch because of the crappy food that was also incredibly expensive, so bring your own. So overall: •Rides (Alpine slides specifically) - 5 stars •Waits - 3 stars (An hour sometimes) •Food - 1 star, didn’t even eat, too expensive for what they offered Personally I would’ve gone on a beautiful hike for free but it was still a great day.

We loved this place, I can't help but to be honest that the people at the front desk are super friendly, but the maid service and workers doing renovations are not. Not 1 of them. My suspicion tells me it's because of their ethnicity and aren't treated fairly or equally. The resort itself is pretty beautiful with great amenities. My only advice would be....don't forget the people on the front lines.

Beautiful gondola ride and scenic views from the top. I am not sure if It is year round or not but they have 5 person chairs and gondola cars running on the same lift. We had beautiful weather so we rode up on the open air chairs for the best view. I recommend that... weather permitting of course.

We loved our week long stay. Our son had great ski school lessons with Sean in level 5. Truly a magical place. Exceptional skiing as well as an incredibly beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return.

One of my favorite ski resorts - we were so blessed to have a late season snow that brought amazing powder in April - absolutely love the tons in McCoy Park! They are really mellow and were covered in powder

We just went to see Beaver Creek Resort for the first time. We walked around the Village. Very quaint, but a little expensive. I thoroughly enjoyed the art gallery, especially the whimsical photography. My favorite was the cowboy playing golf with a putter in one hand and a rifle in the other. His caddie was a buffalo with the bag of clubs slung over its back. It started to rain, so we ducked into Citrea for brunch. What a lucky break! Again, a little expensive, but very tasty. I recommend the French toast with berries, real maple syrup, and a scoop of maple ice cream. (I did gain three pounds over the weekend.)

Beaver Creek is a really nice, fancy, and luxurious place to ski or snowboard. The resort feels upscale from the moment you arrive beautiful lodges, heated walkways, great service, and a super polished vibe. The terrain is fun and well-groomed, and the whole experience is top-notch. That said, I personally prefer Vail over Beaver Creek. Nothing compares to the back bowls in Vail they’re absolutely legendary and Vail can actually be more affordable, especially when comparing lodging and lift ticket options. Beaver Creek is still an amazing resort, perfect if you enjoy a quieter, more luxurious mountain experience. But if I had to pick one… Vail wins for me every time.

In the summer, the hiking is fantastic with scenic trails, and in the fall, the vibrant leaves are a stunning backdrop. Winter skiing here with our family is always a highlight. It’s such a family-friendly resort with something for everyone to enjoy. The Red Buffalo Express is our favorite spot to ski as a family, offering awesome and varied terrain. Plus, you can’t beat the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies they hand out daily at 3 PM—such a fun touch!

Beaver Creek is an incredible destination for both beginners and expert skiers. With a variety of trails and off-trail areas, there's always something new to explore. I've skied here all season and never got bored. Snow conditions are consistently good even better in the expert glades, with excellent grooming in the mornings. Lift lines are rarely long, and all of the resort's faces are easily accessible. The main village at Beaver Creek is smaller compared to nearby resorts, but it offers a charming, family-friendly atmosphere. It's a quiet and beautiful resort, ideal for families seeking fewer crowds and plenty of activities.

Such an amazing experience! My partner and I have been snowmobiling a few times in Washington and this one was the best experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made us feel safe while giving us a really fun tour. The grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in vail and booked the PM half day and it was such a great day. Left the hotel right before noon and made it back around 6.

Our ATV guide Shane was superb! He explained everything beforehand and was very careful with us. During the stops, he described the mountain ranges and areas so we could learn more about our surroundings. He was fun, friendly, and professional. Definitely an asset to your company.

We had the best time on our 4-hour, Side by Side, self-guided tour! We were greeted by a friendly and helpful lady (unfortunately I did not catch her name) and she got us checked in quickly and fitted us with our helmets and goggles. We received a safety briefing from Nico and he gave us detailed information on the trails, which ones we could drive on and what type of trail we could expect. Some are smooth and easy and others are much rougher and rockier. My husband and I both said it was worth every penny. The views are stunning and we saw lots of deer, marmots and chipmunks. We recommend going in the morning when the animals are more active. The history of Camp Hale is interesting too. Imagining the training that the 10th Mountain Division went through while driving in their "shadows" was exciting to think about. We HIGHLY recommend the Nova Guides tour as it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.

What a wonderful experience. One warning: don't settle for two hours - go for four hours - you won't regret it. We rented the side-by-side for two hours, took a picnic lunch with us, headed to the top of the mountain, sat on the log rail and ate at the top of the world. I got to drive the entire time and wow, what fun! Speed up a little bit and enjoy the ride. I kept steering into the divots to get more excitement. What a rush! Don't skimp, don't go too slow, enjoy the ride, the scenery, and the fun. Wish we had the time to go back the next day to cover some of the trails we missed!

My wife and I had a fabulous time riding snowmobile we rented from Nova Guides! From the onset, the reservation agent provided a wealth of information regarding the snowmobiles and mountains we would be riding and made suggestions to allow us an opportunity to have a great experience. The tutorial of the snowmobile provided by the instructor was helpful as was the map to navigate the mountain. All the staff were very friendly. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time on the unguided four hour excursion. The scenery was amazing! Breathtaking! We look forward to returning and highly recommend Nova Guides snowmobile rentals!

AMAZING TIME! We did the 4 hour unaccompanied snowmobiling and it was perfect!! We were able to go at our own pace and revisit trails that had awesome views. My wife and I had a two person sled and loved the heated handle grips and the seats were super comfortable. We highly recommended this activity and this company for your next adventure!

This is a pretty cool thing to do. It takes about two and a half hours but you get to go on a nice train ride and the announcer is very well informed on everything about the town and surrounding areas. The seats are pretty comfortable which is nice. The staff on the train was very friendly and willing to help with anything you needed. You learn a lot of factual things on the strain right also. Lots of very cool scenery on this trip

What a beautiful train ride. Would diffenitly come back near the fall color change, but it was beautiful nonetheless. If you love train rides, this is a must do if you're in the area. Open seating was $59.00 per adult..$89.00 for assigned car seating. They had snacks / burgers / drinks on board. 2.5 hour ride. Outside car was PERFECT at about 55°. Two time slots of 10am & 2pm. Dog friendly. Lots of families on board. Reserved tickets on 24 hours in advance & had my whole hiking group of 8 get on. So, plenty of space.

Love love love! My son has a love of trains, and so while we have taken trains, in other states, we’ve never taken our hometown train! Yesterday we went up in the mountains and saw all the beautiful trees and listen to a wonderful diatribe by the conductor! Totally loved our two hours on this train. Thank you so much for making my son’s Sunday a great day.

Recently enjoyed a train ride on a sunny October day to celebrate our 21st anniversary (we rode it on our honeymoon). This adventure is worth every penny, but bring your coat and gloves! We highly encourage the upgrade to a lounge car in chilly weather but be sure to check out the concession care even though you have an attendant. Great photos and other surprises to explore. The bathrooms are an adventure unto themselves, so be prepared for a rustic experience in that part of the train.

We had an amazing time on the Leadville Railroad with friends. The views were stunning, the warm coach seats were perfect for the chilly October weather, and the full glass windows made the scenery easy to enjoy. They serve food to your table, and the standing area adds extra fun. A truly unforgettable experience!

This train is absolutely amazing! As a plus size person I highly recommend! The isles between the seats are really wide the door and the stairs to get in and out of the cars are also nice and wide. We took our two dogs with us and appreciate the fact that dogs are allowed to enjoy such a fun activity! The pretzels 🥨 are super good as well! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable! I can not say enough good things about this train!! 🚂

One of the best railroad experiences in Colorado! We rode the train this week (last week of August) and the Aspens are already beginning to change, if you're reading this and planning the fall tour, y'all are in for treat! The drive to Leadville from Denver is around 2 hours but beautiful the entire way, the town of Leadville is really really cool, not all blown up and commercialized like Golden. Beautiful brick buildings etc. Anyway, back to the train... Best views are facing away from the station (left side). The covered car with windows can be a bit loud from rattling. If it's not raining (it rained before we boarded and dang you wouldn't believe how fast the crew worked to dry seats!), sit in the outside car or the covered car with no windows. Beautiful views and history the entire way. On the way down try and get closer to the engine...the diesel gets caught in the last car going downhill and it's a bit rough. Regardless, the staff is great and friendly and of all the railroads we did this one definitely has a special spot. We look forward to returning some day.

To state how beautiful the lake is, it would oversimplify how the mist from the lake gently sprays on the skin, cold air blowing after an exhausting hike many steps up. I had to wake up early to arrive there around 8 with my family. For entry, a reservation is needed to be permitted in; lucky, we were prepared with one. Before entering the trail, there was construction happening to the parking lot and parts of the trail that were blocked off. Near where the hiking trail begins, a section of the sidewalk is blocked, and we walk where barriers are connected to the other side. There are no struggles that happen at the beginning of the trail, thankfully. When hiking up, I thought it would take many minutes to get to the lake, but it was shocked when I saw the last stone staircase under 30 minutes. I am amused how the trail, known to be really rocky and loose with rumble, was a simple journey to walk through. Now, the lake itself is gorgeous to look at and take photos, but the path too has delightful details that make the journey already worth the visit. Honestly, writing a review on this location is a favor to go outside and take a break from the clutter-y week. Take care of yourself ❤️

The Hanging Lake Trail is about 2 miles long with some elevation, but it’s an easy hike thanks to the steps along the way. The lake at the end is beautiful, and the view is absolutely spectacular. We’ll definitely do it again!

Nice little hike. Very scenic at the top. Don't give up. If you can do the Manitou incline this is a piece of cake. Very rocky wear shoes with traction.

Beautiful, well maintained trail. Recommend getting permit beforehand. The steps were quite a workout but doable with lots of breaks in the shade. Bring extra water! We ran out near the top of the trail. My 10 year old with asthma made it and said it was absolutely worth it ! The lake is gorgeous, dreamy, better than expected. Absolutely worth the hike. Bring a snack to lunch at the lake before heading back down. In total took us 2.5 hours round trip moving at a reasonably slow pace.

This hike was beautiful. Trail is well maintained, and the payoff is worth the climb. I would definitely recommend hiking boots for this trail.

Awesome lake to check out! It’s a punchy little climb up but once there the mystique of the lake is worth it. We came on a weekday in October and it wasn’t too bad busy-wise. On weekend I can see this place being way too busy. Also note $12 pp entry fee.

Lovely, smaller amusement park with plenty to do. Our group went during the week (Thursday) and had a blast. Line wait times were short and all the rides were exciting. The food was also pretty decent (burgers and chicken tenders - as to be expected with these locations). I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance and paying a little extra ($10 when we went) for preferred parking. It's absolutely worth it as you can park right next to (if not very close) the gondolas that take you to the park.

Took my dad and my son here. My dad loves these rides. They’re unique because they’re hanging over the mountain, which adds a little extra thrill. It’s a great place not a lot of lines. We usually go in September October. Beautiful view from the mountain tops and the food is not that bad. The Cape tours are pretty cool too. The people that give the tour seem like they really enjoy it and are very knowledgeable about how caves work and all of the formations..

The views are stunning. The prices are reasonable. The coaster is probably one of the funnest things I’ve ever done and the cave tours are absolutely amazing if you have kids or even just if you’re an adult, the gondola ride is really fun and just the views when you come out of the caves or up top I absolutely love it here and if you’re visiting, you should check it out and do all of the rides and all of the cave tours, the guides and the tour guides are absolutely amazing extremely knowledgeable extremely funny. I absolutely love every time I come to visit going to Glenwood Springs and go to the adventure park.

Being a park and coaster enthusiast I’ve been to many parks. I had heard mostly good things about Glenwood Caverns and decided to take a day trip up there with a friend. I was thoroughly impressed with the park! The pricing felt reasonable for the attractions offered, service and staff were excellent, the atmosphere was quite nice, the food was decent, and the rides were of a good quality overall! I especially enjoyed the cave tours and 4 coasters! The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made for a fun experience inside both caves! I do wish they had a few more rides with more variety, but what they have is great!

After I got around the hiccup that was me figuring out the free parking, the GCAP was a excellent addition to my Glenwood experience. The views up there are hard to beat, and while we intitially were up there in nothing but rain and fog, when the clouds finally parted it was truly magical. It is to be noted that the adventure park is a bit limited to what younger children can do (think 10 and under) and some of the rides are a bit too high intensity for those of young age and wrangling any youngsters in caves can also be a hassle. I wasn't wrangling children myself but parents be aware. The caverns are absolutely stunning but the Fairy Cavern miiiight trigger the unknowning claustrophobic (don't find out the hard way folks) Overall - lovely experience - definitely recommend.

Yes you can drive up on Transfer Trail, up to the lot where I took these picture. Transfer Trail is a free public road. There is a separate back service only private road with restricted access to Glenwood Cavern Adventure park that is not open to the public. It is gated with no trespassing, but all other roads are free and open to the public. It is a totally free drive, mostly gravel, but no need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Nice place to stop, enjoy the views, enjoy your picnic lunch. If you like, you can also visit Glenwood Adventure Park, ride the Gondola up and enjoy all the park has to offer. Gate passes run from $37 to $84 per person per day. I didn't see any family friendly pricing options on their website. Enjoy.

We visited a weekday at the end of October and it was fantastic. Only one food vendor was open at this time but that’s the only downside. The rides are fantastic for adrenaline junkies and there were little to no lines. We love a good cave as well and the tours were great! Highly recommend the black light tour of fairy caves.

It’s family and pet friendly; accessible for everyone. The main trail is suitable for walkers, wheelchairs, and strollers. If you have a handicap tag or plate, you’re allowed to drive up to the entrance and purchase a vehicle pass without needing a reservation. You can go up at any time of the day — no advance booking is required for vehicles with handicap tags or plates. For all other visitors, you must make a reservation in advance with a specific time slot. If you buy a shuttle ticket for a certain time and arrive late, you’ll need to wait in line and board a later bus only if there’s space available. Parking is paid and collected upon arrival. If you wish to drive your own car, make sure to arrive before 8:00 AM — after that, access to the mountain is only allowed via the shuttle bus. Hope this helps anyone planning to visit!

Great hike to Crater Lake. Try to get there early with the shuttle. It a moderate hike with some elevation a lot of boulders and rocks but it's worth while. It's like walking on the moon

A very beautiful place — definitely a must-visit! I recommend buying a parking ticket on the website in advance, as same-day tickets might be sold out. Also, photos and videos are allowed after 5 PM. If you want the sunlight on the mountain (not behind it), come in the first half of the day.

We arrived at Aspen Highlands where we parked the car and took a bus ride that took about 20 minutes to the site. There are several easy trails around the lake and also the option of more difficult treks. We traveled in June and the conditions were pleasant, a light jacket was enough. It is worth reserving a place in advance for parking or transportation.

I love it! It's an easy round trail. If you would like a more challenging hike, you could take the trail to Crater Lake. Before going, people should buy round-trip shuttle tickets online. Remember the last bus of the day.

I love this Mesa. There is so much fun to find up there. There a hundreds of lake's and streams. It is cool. There are fish everywhere. The bad is the bugs get horrible. Something none at all, other times you need a shotgun for repellent because they are persistent. Either way you have to get out there and enjoy it.

Most beautiful flattop mountain iv ever seen. Well worth a 10 hour drive to camp for a few nights. Plenty of trails and campgrounds, but be aware of cooking meat that isn't covered and storing it as its bear territory here

Grand Mesa is very beautiful. I can't wait to go again next year. The colors are just so beautiful. I lived in California for 48 years so to see a real fall finally is just wonderful.

You could spend weeks here and not see it all! Gorgeous views of Grand Junction, Delta, and La Sal Mountains! Roads were in nice shape, there’s a million different lakes and the fall colors were really popping off when we were up there. There’s so much to do here, it can be overwhelming but definitely worth checking out

🔊🔊🔊 Hello Review Readers 🔊🔊🔊 Hello Y'all ..if you're looking for a fun summer drive then load up your vehicle & picnic lunches and drive the Grand Mesa loop. You can do it from either direction in a circle from Grand Junction. Going the ski area way or the Delta way is equally beautiful! Depending on how many times you stop to take pictures it's probably about a 2 1/2 -3 hour loop. At the top of the Grand Mesa there is a visitor center and many amazing lakes and breathtaking scenery. If you live anywhere in the area or just passing through on vacation do yourself a favor and drive the Grand Mesa loop. It's a very relaxing and peaceful drive. It's definitely a bucket list drive because the scenery from the top is next level. Have fun Y'all!

I thought you could rent equipment here for kayaking but it doesn’t work that way. You have to bring whatever you want. I did some hiking but had a hard time following the signs and didn’t end up where I was trying to go. There is no cell service. I drove all the way through both ways. On my way back in the evening I saw a bear crossing the road! I definitely recommend doing the drive and hiking if you like to hike but it’s difficult to understand the services and there’s no one to help as the visitors center is no longer staffed.

We visited Grand Mesa in August of 2023 and I am so glad we did! The weather was perfect. We stoped and walked along many of the larger lakes (there are over 300 lakes) . We entered from the South 50 to 65 . Visitor center is far in, nearly at top of Mesa first 6 of 12 mile drive was gravel rough road and the drive itself is pretty shaky. The visitor center was nice, the lakes around the visitor center were pretty. Overall nice experience but be prepared for mosquitos in the summer bring a repellent for the mosquitoes.
