Barker Dam Nature Trail is a popular 1.8-mile loop in Joshua Tree National Park, offering a diverse range of attractions. The trail features ancient rock carvings, desert scrub, and a historic reservoir dam dating back to 1900. Visitors can enjoy encounters with wildlife, unique plant life including cacti and Joshua Trees, as well as opportunities for rock climbing amidst cool rock formations.
Easy loop trail with views of the Barker Dam, petroglyphs, and nature. No wildlife sightings during our hike at sunset on January 14. Plenty of parking and two vault toilets at the trailhead.
Jesse W — Google review
Nice easy trail. Around 1.3 miles loop with only 100 feet elevation gain. You get to the dam around half a mile in, going clockwise. The dam would make for a good sunset spot, but I didn't stay that long. Easy to find parking when I got there around 4:40pm on a Saturday in February. Lots of people at the dam, so didn't wait around to get a good solo shot.
Vipul S — Google review
Beautiful hike at sunset! Ending up clocking just over a mile so it’s a short one but still highly recommended. It’s nearby some other good trails in Joshua Tree as well.
Jess R — Google review
Great place to visit, lots of rocks, trees and nature. I always love coming to this place gives me peace and tranquility. I would highly recommend you visit this place.
David M — Google review
Very impressive rock formations and a fun trail. It’s short tho only like 1 mile but worth it. It’s one of the prettiest spots unfortunately no water when I went but still impressive and beautiful with the exposed areas. A bit crowded since it’s one of the most popular hikes.
Carlos A — Google review
This is easy hike that goes in a loop. There isn't always water behind this damn but when we visited in May there was some water. It made the visit a little more picturesque.
Ken — Google review
Love the hiking trail around this beauty. Small but nice views. Must take Pictures here if u have kids take them very fun hike.
Erum B — Google review
Sadly, there will be very little water at the dam, but the hike is wonderful. Lots of Joshua trees, boulders to climb and rock cliffs to admire. Be sure to go to the end to see the Native American pictographs. For a few minutes you'll be transported in time. After the initial light climb, the trail is gentle and good for all ages.

Hidden Valley Nature Trailhead

Hiking area
Nature & Parks
Hidden Valley Nature Trail Trailhead offers a picturesque 1-mile hiking loop with stunning rock formations and panoramic views of Joshua trees and the desert landscape. This easy and flat trail provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the iconic Joshua Tree scenery. The trail is rumored to have been used by cattle ranchers in the 19th century as a hiding spot for their herds, adding an enchanting element to the experience.
Arrived at 9am on Memorial Day, and there were at least a 100 people on the trail already. This is a very easy and very popular hike. Took us around half an hour to walk the mile. Don't really need hiking boots or even shoes for this hike. The signs around the vegetation are all pretty descriptive and we spent time at each. Saw some squirrels and lizards too. There was a volunteer ranger going around with advice and giving more information. Good sized parking lot, and it's a short trail, so should always be people going out in the next few minutes. We were able to find a spot right away at 9am on Memorial Day.
Vipul S — Google review
It’s an interesting area of the park - the most fertile in terms of vegetation and someone used to support grazing at one point! The trail here is very poorly marked - only a mile loop that takes maybe 20-30 minutes. It’s pretty easy to walk through and there’s minimal elevation changes but there’s so many curves and turns that are not noted or lack signs.
Kevin W — Google review
Hidden Valley Trail is a 1-mile loop with about 100 feet of elevation gain. The path is clear and easy to follow. Super good way to knock out amazing views of the park in a shorter amount of time. You pass massive boulders, Joshua trees, and desert plants. Short side trails lead to rock formations. Signs share the history of cattle rustlers hiding herds here.
Jess R — Google review
It is beautiful and easy to walk. We saw some people hiking up the hills. There are restrooms and also a camping ground. We had a great time and I would recommend stopping by, although it is not outstanding compared to the rest. Hope you will enjoy it! Lots of parking space available:)
P H — Google review
This review is about stargazing at night at Hidden Valley. My go-to first stop for stargazing. Could have driven to Arch Rock but the rock and surrounding Joshua trees formed great backdrop when taking Milky Way photos! Can be a little crowded at night, so be prepared to have your photos tinted red from folks exiting the parking lot or from distant traffic along the main route.
Henry T — Google review
Really loved this loop! First time experiencing JTNP and this was a fantastic hike. It’s easy and you really get to experience what JTNP is all about. We went in the evening and it wasn’t too hot and wasn’t crowded.
Vickie P — Google review
This trail is Majestic. If your schedule only permits a short hike, this is the one to take. It is wonderful that Joshua Tree National Park allows all type of rock climbing from repelling to free form. Be safe and have fun.
Dot M — Google review
Absolutely stunning and so much to see on this trail but it was so crowded that it was hard to hike and enjoy everything it has to offer. We would do it again but maybe really early in the morning to avoid the crowds and take more time to explore. The trail is pretty exposed so make sure you take adequate sun protection measures and plenty of water.

The Integratron is a unique, parabolic wooden structure built in 1954 that offers tours and sonic healing sessions. Visitors can enjoy a magical sound bath experience while relaxing in hammocks and soaking up the positive vibes from the friendly staff. The origin story of The Integratron is fascinating, making it an intriguing adventure for all Earthlings to experience. Additionally, the location provides an opportunity to explore Joshua Tree Park and witness the beauty of the Milky Way in this dark area.
The Integratron is an absolute must if you’re anywhere near Joshua Tree. The sound bath was incredible — the vibrations from the crystal bowls were next level and left me feeling deeply relaxed and recharged. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even more special by sharing the fascinating history behind the building. I especially loved learning about the original purpose of the Integratron and its alleged alien influence — such a unique story! It’s a family-run operation now, and it was really cool hearing how the family became involved and how they’ve continued its legacy for so many years. Highly recommend this magical, otherworldly spot. I’ll definitely be back!

We have been to the ingratron multiple times. Each time as wonderful and healing as the last. We will continue to visit for as long as we can. Make sure to arrive early to check in and enjoy a peaceful moment in the courtyard. Bring a light blanket if you tend to get cold easily. Make sure to fill up on their mineral water AFTER your session. Not suggested to have liquids/full bladder before.
Jennifer B — Google review
I was very excited to do a sound-bath at the integratron. I have experienced many sound-baths. Sadly for me I was unimpressed with this particular sound-bath performance. I believe the person playing the bowls did not have a lot of experience. It was very one dimensional and flat. Normally my body reverberates with the sound and I thought that given the fact that I was in an acoustic dome that it would be amazing. Unfortunately I did not have that experience. I also was uncomfortably cold as the A/C was on, it was quite warm outside so I get that. I would recommend bringing a blanket.
Siobhan W — Google review
Wow! If you love mystery, history, and maybe even alien encounters, you will love the Integretron. We knew about the story prior to visiting and did some research. My wife saw they offered a "sound bath" with musical bowls. We were fortunate to get tickets for this great experience. We highly suggest purchasing tickets in advance (a week or two out). We arrived early and enjoyed the grounds and gift shop. Very clean property with restrooms and a bottle refill station. The sound bath was amazing and relaxing. It lasted around 45 minutes, and it let's you disconnect. Highly recommend this experience.
Chris S — Google review
I attended a 60‑minute sound bath at the Integratron in Landers (just outside Joshua Tree), and it was absolutely transformative. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted with a peaceful “hammock village” and fresh lemon water—perfect for unwinding before stepping into the dome. The sound bath begins gently, then crescendos into deep, enveloping tones that literally vibrate through your entire body. Over the course of the session, I drifted into such deep relaxation that I experienced an almost meditative journey—some even see colors or have visions
Sam F — Google review
A most interesting experience to see, feel, and hear. The sound bath experience will play with your senses, very relaxing. Adjusting back to reality takes a few minutes.
Jay D — Google review
Soooo much fun! The sound bath was amazing, I had a deeeply profound experience. The staff really cared about everyone’s experience and provided so much history and context for the building we were in. Maybe a little too much! Haha I would have preferred a longer sound bath and cliffs notes of the history (I had already done my research, that’s why I was there haha) Super fun! Highly recommend They also have a great gift shop!
Vanessa G — Google review
An absolutely beautiful place! We went on a Friday and thoroughly enjoyed walking the grounds and the sound bath they offer brought our mind and souls to a unique destination. It was fun exploring the gift shop afterwards.

Located at an elevation of 5,185 feet, it provides stunning vistas of the entire Coachella Valley, including the San Andreas Fault and distant Salton Sea. On clear days, visitors can even see as far as Mexico. This wheelchair-accessible viewpoint is perfect for witnessing spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
Beautiful place to see! Relaxing and nice scenery but lots of bees! As soon as we parked our car and stepped out we got swarmed with bees! They did not sting but not sure why they were surrounding the vehicles and us when we were near the vehicles.
PangChee V — Google review
This is a beautiful view! Who would have thought a faut line could make such scenery. The distance you can see from here is amazing, wish it was a clearer day when I went. I would recommend adding time to stop by the abandoned gold mine on lost horse trail on the way also If you can.
Mark W — Google review
Driving to Keys View from the Hidden Valley picnic area was wonderful! The Joshua trees seemed very dense along this scenic road, making for a beautiful journey. Keys View is a truly beautiful elevation, offering great views of the mountains, the tectonic plate fault line, and the riverbed. Be prepared for it to be very windy up there! You could quickly visit all the main points in about 15 minutes of walking/viewing time, plus the drive time. This is a must-visit place inside Joshua Tree National Park.
Jayesh P — Google review
Be sure to catch a sunrise view, its spectacular at Keys view!! Their is a toilet up there, cell service at the top of the loop lookout point. Great view of the Salton Sea, San Jacinto and beyond. Parking can be full on the weekends, do not recommend if your pulling a trailer.
Sandy A — Google review
I definitely recommend visiting this spot before sunset. Don’t forget to bring a windbreaker or jacket - it can get windy and chilly even during summer evenings. The spot has its own designated parking area, so no need to worry about finding a place to park. The views are absolutely beautiful, as you can see in the photos! We visited in June. 2025 and arrived at Joshua Tree after 5 PM. Surprisingly, we didn’t have to pay an entry fee - there was no one at the checkpoint selling tickets. I’m not sure why, but just a quick tip in case you’re visiting around the same time!
Nemanja Z — Google review
The only thing better than Key's View is to hike the use trail to the north for the big epic overlook higher up. Follow the arrows. Incredible views of the Palm Springs desert and Coachella Valley across to the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains.

A beautiful place to visit. I was impressed by the beauty of the place. I will definitely come back.

Absolutely enjoyed having breakfast here for the first time—we liked it so much, we went back! It did not disappoint. The food is delicious, the ambiance is great, and the service is excellent. Definitely recommend! Don’t let the exterior fool you - it’s a great place!!!

I came to try their Dates milkshake, and buy some Dates. The 2Ib was for $25 so i passed. The milkshake was not make to order, I was supervised when he handed to me almost immediately, it was really frozen and hard to drink, it was for $9.95 and that was more than the average, and there was nothing special about it. They sell different made in house syrups and sauce and some cake. I did not try them I felt that they were overpriced. There was plenty of parking
Ash A — Google review
The food is tasty (typical American food), and the shakes are a must. Too sweet for my taste, but I see the appeal.
My N — Google review
Very good restaurant and the personnel are very friendly to everyone and the outside environment is perfect to people who visit palm dessert. One thing you MUST try is the date shake and everything is awesome. It’s not to big portions and not to small. Very good restaurant MUST TRY!!!
Rita A — Google review
We went for breakfast and had a great experience. The Date Shakes were absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight. We also tried the green sauce chilaquiles with carne asada and really enjoyed them. There's a shop on-site where you can browse their merchandise, souvenirs, and a variety of date products. Inside the shop, there’s also a café if you’re just looking for a drink. I’d definitely return, even if it’s just for another date milkshake.

Beautiful spot nestled into the desert oasis. Outdoor seating for most. Service was amazing, and it was busy. The walk was nice and the shop has tons of goodies. The food was amazing. We started with the stuffed, bacon wrapped dates...delish! Chicken and waffles were outstanding. Highly recommended, enjoy!
Bret T — Google review
We had a very yummy lunch. We sat on the patio which was lovely. The weather was perfect that day. I had the benedict with fruit on the side, it was delicious. The grounds were nice to walk around. The date shakes were also a must have!! Our young kids enjoyed it too.
Nicole — Google review
Early morning breakfast, I came with friends at 8:30am and was only the 2nd people here...by the time I left it was completely full, no tables by 10:30am. They have plenty of parking with overflow parking on the east side of the parking lot under the palm trees. The service and our waiter were amazing, we were served fast, and our server was attentive to our needs, there was 8 of us, so we used 2 tables. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy, just good breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, and the weather was nice for an early morning breakfast with friends...side note....it is Fly season and they were out in abundance trying to catch a bite so be aware of the pesky things.

Sights & Landmarks
Indian Wells Tennis Garden is a world-renowned sporting complex that features 29 hard courts and a 16,000-seat stadium where the prestigious BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament takes place. The venue also hosts live music performances, car shows, arts festivals, and other entertainment events throughout the year. Additionally, it offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, a full-service spa, and various tennis membership programs.
This tournament location is pretty amazing with 9 tournament courts, including two large stadiums, and multiple practice courts to watch your favorite players. We have been to two tennis tournaments here, and they are always a blast with tons of great tennis. Plan to spend the entire day onsite during the tournament to see and enjoy as much as possible. They have tons of food vendors and restaurants. Prices are fairly high for food and drinks, as expected.
Mark P — Google review
My first visit was during qualifying rounds. While it was not during major rounds, the day was spent enjoying great tennis in the smaller stadiums. The cost of admission was very affordable. The morning started with parking guides getting us in the lot and into well organized spacing. Parking was free during the rounds we attended. Between games we enjoyed a nice lunch with many affordable options. There was plenty of outdoor seating. It could be limited if the day is very busy. We shopped around before leaving the grounds and spent enough on souvenir T-shirts. The Garden is a must see and a great way to experience the BNP Paribas events.
Danny M — Google review
I had an absolute blast at this venue! If you're a tennis lover, you simply can't miss this place when the players are in town. One of the best perks is that tickets are quite affordable at the beginning of the week, making it accessible for everyone. While it did get a bit chaotic, arriving early made all the difference and allowed us to soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Thankfully, the weather was perfect, which added to the overall enjoyment of the day. Seeing the players up close was definitely a highlight, and the beautiful landscape surrounding the venue made for a stunning backdrop. Plus, parking is free, which is always a bonus! Just a friendly reminder: be sure to bring a clear backpack to make your entry smooth, as they have specific bag policies. I highly recommend checking it out—it's an unforgettable experience for any tennis enthusiast
Tawny V — Google review
This is definitely an experience anyone should try sometime in their lives. You get to see all the best tennis players in the world play, practice and exercise up close and personal. I got to see most of the top ten players. Food is expensive but I was expecting it because of the type of event. It can get pretty windy and cold so make sure to be prepared. It is definitely an out of this world experience.
Felix F — Google review
Just spent three days with family watching tournament and practice sessions. Our first time here and absolutely loved it! Beautiful scenery and fantastic tennis! We will definitely return!

Tennis Paradise, well organized, free parking on grass is a nice touch. We live in Mexico and indian wells is just a 2 hour drive away. Hope next year they offer non alcoholic beer next year as an option.
Carlos C — Google review
"One of the best experiences, the event organization, and the facilities were very nice. Parking was very easy without paying anything extra; parking is included with the ticket purchase. Access policies require transparent bags, and if you bring something else, it cannot exceed the size of the palm of your hand, so avoid using lockers and bring a transparent bag. The food inside the facilities really seemed expensive to me. Nachos for 24 dollars and the portion size wasn't large. A hot dog for 11 dollars, chicken tenders for 24, and salads for 24, that’s the average price range."
Juliana G — Google review
The climate was perfect for the Coachella Valley High School event — can’t ask for better skies or timing. The flow of the ceremony was smooth, and the venue itself looked clean and well-maintained. Everyone stayed focused during the ceremony, and the graduating class even brought a few laughs to break the tension. However, the lemon stall was a letdown — staff misled us about the drinks, which left a sour taste (literally and figuratively). That’s a strike on integrity. The biggest issue was the lack of AC. The indoor space felt like a sauna, especially the men’s restroom, which reeked and made it tough to breathe. Beautiful space, but next time, turn on the air and clean up the essentials. Sliced through the thick air like butter, but guests shouldn’t have to. The lady from the lemon stall really pissed me off. I won’t even do a review because I rather not think about that part at all. Enjoy! Congrats class of 2025!!! You guys did great and thanks for hanging in there!! So proud! LQ even gave us a firework display as we spent time going to our next destinations. Stay tune!

Art museum
Cabot's Pueblo Museum is a historic house museum located in Desert Hot Springs, featuring a 35-room Hopi-style pueblo that showcases an extensive collection of Native American art and artifacts. The museum was hand-built by Cabot Yerxa, an adventurer and artist, in the 1940s. It also houses Yerxa's own artwork, handiwork, and souvenirs from his travels. The site offers a unique cultural experience with its maze-like structure and rich history.
It's really amazing what Cabot was able to do here, starting at nearly 60 years old and by himself! Highly recommend the Audio Self- Guided Tour. Inside, you'll find lots of photographs, artwork, vintage tools, kitchenware, Native American artifacts, and more! Be free to walk around, especially behind the Pueblo, where you'll get a spectacular view of the mountains and valley. Restroom facilities are on site with a water fountain. They also have a nice gift shop. Have fun!
Robert M — Google review
Very beautiful museum. Interesting experience but short and honestly could have been more informative
Vic V — Google review
This museum is really neat to go through. Worth it to get the self-guided tour. It's very educational and cool to have a part of the audio per room. The upstairs apartment was beautiful. Walking the grounds was very cool and not boring at all. Plenty to see. Staff was very kind and responsive. Parking was plenty and easy. We highly suggest being able to see and experience some great history of the area.

If you like amazing desert oddities then you have come to the right place. Imagine what life was like living in this Pueblo style desert home actually made from found objects in the desert. This is one man’s dream to build his dream castle all alone by himself over many years. Take the self guided tour and be immersed in the story behind Cabot’s Pueblo oddity.
Alan S — Google review
Very interesting structure. Enjoyed the self-guided tour. My favorite room was the apartment that he made for his wife Portia. Happy wife, happy life 😂
Becky C — Google review
Lovely place to experience in Desert Hot springs. The audio tour did not completely work to its full capacity, only inside the house but the tour inside the house is worth it. House was beautiful, the property has nice greenery and the history of the place make this site pretty interesting. It was amazing to see how someone would live and make life in this little place in the desert.
J G — Google review
Nice spot with rich history. The ticket attendant/slash limited guide was so friendly and helpful. Tickets are relatively affordable, but the price adds up when your party is large. I think it'd $10 per adult. The tour is a self-guided audio tour that you do with your phone. If you have a large party, maybe a Bluetooth speaker will help so that everyone can hear. If you actually have the patience to listen, it's quite amazing how the home was designed, and the attention to detail that went into it. We had some kids with us do they could care less about the history. They were more interested in pointed and asking. That said, a lot of the things here are original pieces (including some falling-apart clothing), so be mindful and watch touchy kids to make sure they don't sit, touch, or go where they shouldn't.
Rafael E — Google review
Really nice piece of history! Amazed it didn’t get pillaged while it was unoccupied and a nice tribute to the builder Cabot and his wife Portia. Nice audio tour and very open to all areas of the Pueblo. Fascinating building. Very cool point of interest. Cheap admission and fun visit.

Old Town La Quinta is a charming development featuring Renaissance-inspired architecture, upscale boutiques, and dining options. Inspired by European town squares, developer Wells Marvin created this Spanish-style shopping center with cobblestone sidewalks adorned with bougainvillea. The area offers a variety of casual alfresco restaurants, boutiques selling fine olive oils and artisanal skincare products, art galleries, and aesthetic cafes. Surrounding the plaza are elegant homes that contribute to the romantic ambiance of the destination.
Attended the farmers market. The first time here had a great time, lots of friendly vendors with great varieties to choose from... fruits, veggies, nuts, breads, sweets, beautiful flowers, and so much more. I'm very glad I found this spot. You gotta try if you haven't, I'm definitely going back!!

A very cool spot with great selection of restaurants and other delectable choices all around. RD RNNR was terrific and Nitroinfusion had some great selections in on-demand ice creams, made to order.

Fantastic shops, restaurants and even farmers market. Highly recommend to get there early parking is a bit of a premium but love the variety of restaurants and shops to peruse. You can get a mani pedi, rent a bike, quilt or find a vacation home and then grab a cool margarita and black and blue salad at Roadrunners.

Took a Monday 8am stroll with all trails to myself. Very quiet & relaxing. Loved seeing the various birds and other small critters crossing my path. Wish I had more time to walk further up the canyon. Recommend doing your hiking early. Not a lot of shade in some areas. ALL GOOD THOUGH!

We went for a morning hike at Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, and were hoping for some good bird watching. It was both a great hike and had great bird watching! The trails are well marked and there are several - they are marked for distance and difficulty. The bird watching on the trails was good, but it was really great not too far from the entrance were a fountain and various bird feeders had been set up. We saw a huge flock of Western Bluebirds, it was fantastic. We also saw hummingbirds, plenty of various finches, scrub jays, woodpeckers, and more. It was great!

Fantastic place to hike. People with mobility can enjoy the boardwalk trails. Good other trails. A trur oasis.

Fun place if you are into wildlife and biology! Lots of history and life here! Just be respectful, not like some tourist who chuck sticks and walks into the brush off trail.

Just a great experience! Been to JTNP many times and wanted to get to know the Morongo Valley more. Donated money at the birdseed donation box because that was awesome! A gem of a place to hike at any ability level. Excellent maps and trail markings, and one trail is all boardwalk for complete accessibility! Great wildlife viewing opportunities especially toward evening with this heat. Info center is awesome - read it all before you go so you know what you are seeing! Will come back to check out the rest of the trails! We did two yesterday. 👣

This was Tommy Bahama's. Great food again. They were a bit to short staffed for about 45 minutes, but our server was still great and we didn't notice. I had the BEST drink. It's called Miss Sunshine. I could only have one because I wish I wasn't driving I would have had more...so yummy. My husband had the margarita which he really liked. For dinner, we started with the lobster bisque that we split-yummy. I had the spaghetti squash bowl, very good and my husband had the Cajun pasta and added shrimp. Both portions very big so we had leftovers.

It's located near various attractions such as Hovley Soccer Park, Desert Willow Golf Resort, and Civic Center Park. Visitors can enjoy feeding giraffes at the zoo, which is renowned as one of the top zoos in the country.
So beautiful! There’s so many different animals from all over the world. I think they did amazing with their conservation message. I was pleasantly surprised with how much space the animals had. It almost made me happy that I couldn’t see some of them. We were able to see keepers do training and talk with them as well. Overall super fun place!

A hot 90° but pleasant trip to the Living Desert zoo & Gardens. It was off season on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded at all. We were able to take our time. I really enjoyed their model trains and miniature city! Learn names of the plants & Cacti. The big cats are beautiful. Visited the nutrition center and vet hospital. We saw a bunch of baby tortoise, the 2 new super cute baby giraffe, 2 wallaby with joeys in their pouches. And a new comer, a badger. There was a ton of construction happening, so I'll have to come back when that's finished to see the new lion exhibit and during the season when its bustling! Super friendly staff and feed the giraffe.

Visited here with my boyfriend, mom and toddler. We’re from out of town and were skeptical about spending $40 each to get in, but I’m so glad we did. We spent a couple hours there and easily could have spent some extra time there. They let you feed the giraffes which I thought was so cool and probably the highlight for me. They just had babies in September so that was also really cool. We were there at just the right time as they just added an exhibit for monkeys. I love me some monkeys. They also recently added a splash pad for kids to play at and that was a great little stop to cool down for my little one. I loved how open the exhibits were and how much extra space the animals had comparative to some of the other zoos I’ve been to. Highly recommend checking this zoo out.

This place is absolutely amazing. You can tell this is a sanctuary for animals and not a place where they are put on display. The staff care so much for these animals and it shows. My husband and I visit every year and we also love to come for the holiday light fest they have at night during late November through December. It’s such a gorgeous place to visit and walk through. Literally fun for all ages. I fed the giraffes this time too and it was so awesome to be so up close with them. You can also be up close with the wallaby’s in their enclosure and watch them hop around which was so fun.

We found this on our visit to Palm Springs and decided to take a couple hours out of our day and go. Ticketing was very easy and there was no line to speak of. Loved the way the grounds were laid out and the different fauna and flora, the towering palm trees, the agaves, aloes and the different types of desert plant life. We were surprised to see as many active animals as we did and the number of animals was impressive. The gentleman at the rhino exhibit took his time and gave us lots of info on the rhino’s. Fun and informative way to spend a coupe hours while in the Palm Springs area.

Excellent place for all ages! Great interactions with the animals and staff. Plenty of places to eat or bring your own food and drink. Handicap accessible for a majority of the park. There are several unpaved trails that take you through the botanical cactus deserts. There is also a beginner half mile hiking trail accessible inside the park. Plenty of trees for shade while walking around the park. plenty if chairs and benches throughout the park. You could stay there all day and relax watching the animals. Will definitely make the trip to visit again!

The Palm Springs Air Museum, established in 1996, is a sprawling museum dedicated to combat aircraft from WWII to the present day. It boasts one of the world's largest collections of flyable and static WWII aircraft, including iconic planes like the Boeing B17 Flying Fortress and the Grumman F-14 Tomcat.
From the moment you step onto the grounds, you're transported to a different era, one of innovation, sacrifice, and unparalleled heroism. What truly sets this museum apart is the incredible hands-on experience. Unlike many other museums where aircraft are roped off behind barriers, here you can get up close and personal with the planes. The collection of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam era aircraft is meticulously maintained, and many of the planes are still in flying condition. The opportunity to actually sit in the cockpit of a fighter jet is an exhilarating experience that appeals to all ages. The true highlight of the visit, however, is the staff. The docents are a mix of veterans and passionate volunteers who share their stories and knowledge with an infectious enthusiasm. Their personal anecdotes bring the history to life in a way that no plaque or sign ever could. They are a testament to the dedication and spirit of the people who shaped aviation history.

Decided to explore another part of this exciting city and found myself at the Palm Spring Air Museum in Hot Springs 😀. Since my dad was a Marine, I try to honor him by visiting places like this and learning more about our military heroes through their stories and history. Just a little tip, it’s a really dry heat out here, so stay hydrated! The aircraft are retired, but the lessons and history they hold are alive and inspiring for anyone who loves to learn. Call or visit website to confirm hours. Tell them Team Smiley sent you.

This air museum is amazing! There are also vehicles and ship models. So much history in each hangar and outside. Icredible memorabilia. A staggering experience to see each of these aircraft upclose. There were planes being restored and getting worked on. Though most are grounded, i was told a couple still fly. My husband is a huge plane lover and this place was the perfect first stop in Palm Springs. Right next to the airport. There are guides in each area to answer questions and share information.

Absolutely incredible collection and curation! We were visiting in town and came here on a whim and all of us were completely blown away by everything here. Felt like i needed an entire day for each hanger to be able to truly appreciate everything! The F-117 exhibit alone was breathtaking and the docent in the hanger was super knowledgeable and friendly. Already planning trip to come back here from Maryland! Fair warning if you come here overestimate how long you’ll spend because there is so much to see, read, and watch!

We visited the Palm Springs Air Museum with our kids, and it was an incredible experience! The museum is extremely family-friendly, the exhibits are interactive, the volunteers are knowledgeable and passionate, and being able to get so close to historic aircraft was a huge highlight for all of us. Our kids absolutely enjoyed every moment. The kids especially loved the flight simulator, they would have stayed there all day if they could! It’s the perfect place for families, aviation fans, or anyone looking for a fun and educational activity. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great museum! Multiple hangers with more planes outside. We spent 4 hours and could have easily spent another 4 if we stopped and read all the historical posts and information posters. Well worth the price of admission!

Indian Canyons, located in the mountain foothills of Palm Springs, is a collection of canyons that hold great cultural and historical significance as the ancestral home of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Visitors can explore Tahquitz Canyon with its guided hikes to a 60-foot waterfall, Andreas Canyon featuring unique rock formations and lush plant life, and Murray Canyon where lucky hikers might spot endangered Peninsular Big Horn Sheep.
My favorite hike in Palm Springs, California is Indian Canyons, which offers numerous surprises. The park features multiple trails, but Palm Canyon stands out as a highlight. Walking through the lush palm forest feels like an oasis, providing ample opportunities to rest and take in breathtaking views. While some trails are quite long, others offer shorter alternatives, although the trail markings could be improved. The park is expansive, with ample parking and restroom facilities. If you're fortunate, you might even spot big horn sheep on the road, which is a delightful experience. Andreas Canyon is another notable feature, boasting stunning waterfalls and streams along the hike. Be prepared for long lines at the entrance, but they typically move quickly. Admission fees are $12 per person, not per vehicle. This destination is suitable for visitors of all ages.

Such a beautiful scenic area. Definitely worth driving there and to the different trails especially if you’re not a seasoned hiker (like us). The rangers were really helpful and recommended the Andreas Canyon and Palm Canyon to us. The Andreas Canyon was a totally achievable hike for two novices. Bring water and some flip flops if you want to wade your feet in water.
Katherine L — Google review
Andreas canyon trail was a great little hike. Says 1 mile round trip. Not too bad. Can be done some where between 20 and 30 minutes. February would definitely be a great time to visit high 60s to low 70s. May through September would need to bring some water. Not free costs $12 per person but worth it to see it.
Doug A — Google review
It is a beautiful, amazing place for a hike. You can choose a short or long trail. Lots of amazing palm trees. The Google map is extremely limited in this area, and even the map given at the entrance is incomplete (the river was not even shown!), so be aware and cautious.

This is my favorite canyon to walk in the area. There is a good stretch of canyon walk with palm trees then more hiking trail. The canyon is easy walking. The other hiking trails are more strenuous and out in the open - sun! Plan accordingly, bring a camera, water, snacks, sunscreen etc. There are places to sit and rest along the way both with benches and not.

Perfect for hiking, photography, or simply unwinding, the canyons are rich with vibrant colors and unique rock formations that create a truly mesmerizing setting. The trails are well-maintained, suitable for various skill levels, and provide a quiet retreat from city life. It’s a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts.

Nestled in Big Bear Lake, the Big Bear Alpine Zoo is not your typical zoo. It serves as a refuge for wildlife in need, rehabilitating orphaned, injured, or imprinted animals with the goal of releasing them back into their natural habitat. Since its establishment in 1959, this non-profit organization has been dedicated to caring for local species like bald eagles, black bears, and arctic foxes.
This was such a cute zoo!! 10/10 for sure. The animals looked happy and you could even see some trainers feeding and helping the animals throughout their space. Overall my family and I had a great time. My daughter in specific wanted to visit a zoo for some time now and she was very happy how the animals looked well kept. We also got to learn about skunks and it was very informative per one of the trainers.Cant wait to visit again and bring my older daughter to experience this zoo herself !See you next time!!!
Celiboy V — Google review
This is a wonderful place to visit, regardless of whether you live in Big Bear or just here for a visit. And if you have children, they will love the experience. According to what we read online, this zoo is one of two Alpine zoos in the United States, which provide a refuge for wild animals that cannot be released back into the wild for a variety of reasons as well as specializing in the rehabilitation and release of local Alpine species. They also offer educational training programs, special events and exhibits concerning their mission. There are restrooms onsite along with a gift shop and free parking. Just beware that the zoo does not open until 1000 hours, and in the warmer months, you might not be able to see many of the 190+ animals they have since it is sometimes getting too hot during the day. We will try again this fall when the weather is cooler. We did, however, get to see a wonderful bear education demonstration with one of the trainers and Eleanor, what an informative speech by the trainer. We even witness just how fast a bear can move, which was an eye opener for all of us present. We highly recommend this zoo for people of all ages and appreciate all the staff in their efforts to care for these animals and educate the public.
Thomas B — Google review
Visited the zoo for the first time and LOVED it! We spent about 2 hours at the zoo, casually walking around to learn & observe the animals. The bears, especially the grizzly, were the best! Caught most of the presentation on the skunks which was super interesting. The little skunks were fun to watch scurrying around for the meal worms while the docent shared a wealth of info. At the end, we decided to become annual members so we could visit the zoo & Big Bear more often. The cost of 2 adult tickets was $34 ($17 each), but you can buy a couples pass for the year for just $90. Looking forward to our next visit!
Tanya N — Google review
We visited on a Friday afternoon. Upon a recommendation by a local cashier, we visited around feeding time (2pm-ish). Although it is a small zoo with only locally indigenous creatures, every animal was out and visible, some moving about, some lounging. Gift shop prices were reasonable, compared with other gift shops. The premises were clean and festively decorated for the holidays. Also there is a $1 discount ea. for a group of 10 or more.
Valerie K — Google review
Not a huge zoo but perfect for a quick outing with little ones. Plenty of room to look at the animals. We never felt crowded. Everything seem well maintained and the zoo grounds were clean. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms.
Marianne — Google review
This little zoo is very sweet, a fun little outing with the kids. My only suggestion is to go early in the morning when it’s cooler and when the animals are awake. We made the mistake of going in the heat of the day and many of the animals had found their shady spots, I don’t blame them! Definitely worth a visit!
Barnum A — Google review
Not disappointed at all! All of the animals were well taken care of. Even in the summer they had misters, fresh water and shade for all animals. Everyone looked well fed and happy and thats what I look for in a zoo! I understand that all animals were rescues which I love. 10/10 Zoo better for kiddos.

Very small zoo, $17 for adult but probably perfect for little kids cuz they have a cool playground in between. Hard to see some of the animals through the wire cages. And a few were deep so you couldn't see them at all from walkway

Inside is small, but there's is a gift shop with shirts, stuffed animals, mini figurines, and many other Big Bear memorabilia. On the other side of the parking lot, there's also a trail to take for beginners. For a feel of nature and to get that energy out of those kids, haha. A bike ride is also welcome along the trail. Ever since the park was upgraded it definitely became better. It also costs a lot more than it used to for a lift ticket but the amenities are better as well. I've been snowboarding here for decades at this point and recently started mountain biking. Overall the park is great. The staff are also good, maybe a little grouchy or standoffish at times but not enough to write home about. Overall a great place for all seasons and will be back.

Went up the "scenic sky chair" lift as a summer activity while on vacation. If you are on vacation and looking for another activity to do with the kids. I paid $86.00 for three adults and a 12 year old to take the lift to the top. We were hoping to do some hiking but there were only two trails available and they are not shaded so we didn't do much. There is a restaurant at the top and food options but it is also a great place to just bring a picnic and enjoy the views. During the summer it is a huge mountain bike area and almost all of the people going up where bringing their bikes. The basic ticket only allows for one round trip. I wish it was unlimited as the views coming down are awesome.

Everything was a great experience! Parking guides got us in a space quickly. Getting our tickets and bikes on the lift was a breeze. Awesome variety of trails to ride on well marked trails. The good is reasonably priced for being at a resort and better than most places I've experienced. I'm already looking forward to my next trip here

We had a great time at Above the Boom! It does get a little chilly. So, as they recommend, dress in layers. Also, even though it said no food and drink. A bottle of water and maybe some kids snacks seemed acceptable. They were not overly strict. We supported them purchasing our tickets, and additional beverages including water.

We always come here whenever we visit Big Bear. The resort offers year-round outdoor activities. The things you do here are unlimited, from skiing and snowboarding in the winter, to mountain biking and hiking the rest of the year. There are several different dining options from fast-food to more upscale bars and restaurants (opening times vary with the seasons). One of the activities we like to do in the spring and fall is taking the chairlift to the summit and enjoying the view while eating lunch. There is plenty of parking along with a multitude of stores, ski/snowboard rentals, a child amusement center and plenty of trails for biking and hiking.

Terrible experience. Came here from Vegas for my son‘s birthday. Got a rental bike and immediately first run down the brakes are already worn down and just super loud. I took a relatively easy way down and when I got to the bottom I noticed one of my spokes had come out. My chain also came off but I didn’t notice it until my second ride down. So I’m just trying to get down the mountain at this point cuz I can’t pedal and then I get down and they tell me the derailer needs to be replaced and I can pay $110 to get my bike back. And I’m like all of this happened on one ride down and now I have to pay $110 after already having paid $200 for the day. I fought it so hard, spoke to every person there that I could about getting my bike back or at that point just getting a refund and leaving, no leniency whatsoever. The bike rental experience there was absolutely miserable, the bike i was given was terrible. Do not rent from this place. Also, my son’s ride card was deactivated at one point and we had to go back to the ticket booth to get a new one. last so much time just trying to get going. If I could give negative stars I would. Spent all this money to come up here just for the bike to break down after one green run.

The bike repair shop did a great service for my bike! Joshua found the problem, repaired it, and explained how it should be shifting. Took it for a test ride and shifting was perfect! At a fair price!!! Thanks guys!

Great bike park, shredded all day. I just wanted to mention Nancy, the food handler because she was rude and mean. Great learning experience. I brought the kids and they loved it, blue trails were so easy and fun. Good jumps flowy and food was good, but Nancy wasnt.

Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain is a year-round attraction in Big Bear Lake, offering both winter and summer activities. In the winter, visitors can enjoy bobsled tracks, while in the summer, there are water slides accessible via a chairlift. The facility also features snow tubing, go-karts, and an 18-hole miniature golf course. It's a great destination for families looking for thrilling experiences.
The staff really makes this place extra special. Everyone is so NICE!! They have a first aid station too in case you wreck on the toboggan, that slide burn is real! They have a small arcade of games inside, very old school pricing for the games too just 50 cents a game. It was nearly $16 for two burgers but DANG if they weren't worth every bite. The mini golf is really challenging and fun, there is a part where if you lose your ball in the water it drops to the next place below it instead of floating to the pond. Would absolutely come back 10/10 times! Only $2 a ride at the waterslide too.
S T — Google review
We had a great time! Super affordable for the whole family. We did everything besides the mini golf and go carts. Took us about 4hrs and the kids rode multiple times. The views from all the rides is incredible. It wasn't to busy as we went on a Monday but the lines went super fast if any at all. It did start to pick up when we were leaving around 2pm. The arcade is old school w games for 50cents. Also, we took my golden retriever who loved just chilling in the grass watching. everyone lol. They were very accommodating filling our water for her anytime. Definitely a must go. Thank you for an amazing time.
Aubrey L — Google review
Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain is a terrific family-friendly attraction that delivers plenty of fun in just a few hours. I visited with my wife and two children, and we all had a fantastic time. The alpine slide was the highlight. We rode it twice, and it was just as exciting the second time. The track offers a great mix of speed and control, making it safe for kids but still a thrill for adults. Our children absolutely loved it. We also enjoyed the Mine Shaft Coaster, a mountain roller coaster that twists through the hillside with surprising speed. It was so much fun we had to ride it twice as well. To wrap up our visit, we finished with the go-karts, which made for the perfect ending. The track is well maintained, and the karts ran smoothly, creating a great experience for all ages. The cost is on the higher side, but the value is absolutely there. Between the alpine slide, the Mine Shaft Coaster, and the go-karts, this spot is well worth a stop when in Big Bear
Lonney G — Google review
Fun spot for the family to stop and play. The slides all have breaks so it’s nice you have some control over the speed. I’d definitely come back again with the family.
Azucena S — Google review
This place absolutely nailed it. We kicked off with the Mineshaft Coaster, then cruised over to the go-karts, splashed around on the water slides, and ended up back on the coaster for another round. This small but awesome amusement park nestled in the mountains is amazing. What makes it stand out is how well everything flows—scenic chairlift rides, fast downhill coaster control, hairpin turns, tunnels, corkscrews, and adrenaline-fueled fun at your fingertips . The water slides were a refreshing bonus, and the go-karts gave us that racing kick. Great for both families and thrill-seekers alike. Staff were friendly and helpful, making the day effortless and fun. 🎡 Final Thoughts Small in size, big in fun. It hits the mark if you’re looking for a chill half-day of mixed rides with mountain views and a splash. Definitely worth the trip! My only gripe would be certain rides you pay for at the snack shop and the Coaster you pay for at the Coaster.
Ryan — Google review
A lot of fun, the rides are individually priced per ride. Select which ones you want to experience and pay separately. The mine shaft coaster and the alpine slide are awesome fun! Snacks bar, plenty of parking, restrooms.

Little pricey but It’s good for family and kids . If you’re visiting here first go visit alpine big bear zoo then visit this place till then it will b less crowded and fun🤩 beautiful views 😍definitely going to visit in snow season. Star is very good and helpful .thank you

Cabazon Dinosaurs - World's Biggest Dinosaurs

Sights & Landmarks
Cabazon Dinosaurs, also known as the World's Biggest Dinosaurs, is a vintage attraction featuring enormous replicas of famous dinosaurs like Brontosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex. These iconic structures have been featured in various media and are a popular sight for the millions of people who drive by them each year. Located on Morongo Band of Mission Indians land in Banning, this cultural center offers artifacts, a native plant garden, and rotating exhibits highlighting Indigenous communities.
Such a great place to stop and spark the imagination of the children! Cabazon dinos are lifesize with a splash of color, making for fun pictures. There’s a small store inside the brachiosaurus, prices are reasonable and we were able to get some souvenirs that kept the kids talking about the place for the rest of the roadtrip 😊
Diane R — Google review
Been over 30+ years that I was in this area based at 29 Palms, used to drive by Cabazon all the time. Back then the dinosaurs were the original color that was in the PeeWee movie. Today, it was a must that the family stopped by to check out the dinosaurs. New paint, and a cool exhibit of over 20+ dinosaurs when you pay to enter in order to climb into the T-Rex mouth. Very cool shop inside the "Long Neck" dino, where you purchase your tickets. Breanna was super nice. Lots of trinkets and gifts to choose from. The other shop at the exhibit walk thru is cool, much more to choose from. Really nice place to spend some time. We were in a bit of a time crunch headed back to AZ, but for time we spent, was well worth the stop.

When one of your best friends says, "Oh man, you haven't been to Cabazon? We need to go,"—listen to them. I’m so glad I did. Visiting Cabazon was a truly unique, one-of-a-kind experience that I’ll cherish forever. The main attraction? Two giant dinosaurs—and yes, you can actually go inside them. One houses a quirky and fun gift shop, while the other is a massive T-Rex that's repainted for different seasons and holidays, adding a playful and ever-changing vibe to the visit. Beyond the iconic dinosaurs, I really enjoyed the outdoor enclosures you can walk through. The flowers and vegetation were unexpectedly beautiful, adding a peaceful, almost whimsical backdrop to the prehistoric theme. The dinosaurs throughout the grounds looked well-maintained and in great shape, which made the whole experience feel more immersive. Overall, Cabazon is more than just a pit stop—it’s a nostalgic, creative, and fun detour that’s worth making time for. If you're driving through on your way to California, don’t miss it.

Just do it, it's right off the highway and even if you don't go in it's a great old world roadside attraction to get a modern selfie with. Perfect for a text or social media update I'm sure your friends will enjoy. They're very well taken care of. The fresh paint really pops. My wife didn't get the point but knew I was enjoying the break from driving and let me have my fun.

This place is totally cool. LOTS of dinosaurs. You can easily spend more than an hour there. Be sure to climb up inside the T-Rex and roar! Very friendly and helpful staff. I may be in my seventies, but I want to have my birthday party there.

I just love the Cabazon Dinosaurs where the famous scene from the 1985 movie Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was filmed at and today's the day of the 40th anniversary when it came out on August 9th, 1985 with the late Paul Reubens. Of course, the World's Biggest Dinosaurs are the best attractions that many parents and children would ever visit! I can imagine making friends with Mr. Rex and Dinny when I was a little kid somewhere between 2005 and 2006. I remember when I first came to Cabazon Dinosaurs where my parents took me and my sister Marina here and all the moments are refreshing my sweet childhood memories.

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa

Casino
Nightlife
Nestled along Seminole Drive, Morongo Casino Resort & Spa is a top-tier destination among California casinos. Operated by the Morongo Band of Cahuilla Mission Indians, this high-rise resort spans 44 acres and boasts 310 refined rooms and suites. The casino offers diverse gambling options, including slot machines catering to various budgets. Additionally, the resort features an array of dining choices, such as a buffet with high-quality food and courteous staff.
I had such a wonderful experience at Morongo Casino! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The variety of food options was impressive—there’s truly something for everyone, and everything I tried was delicious. The slot machines kept me entertained for hours (though I’ll admit I was a little bummed the Wonder Woman slots are no longer there!). Still, the overall gaming experience was top-notch. What really stood out was the customer service—every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt taken care of. That level of attention and friendliness is what makes the resort shine. If I had one suggestion, it would be for the poker room shuttle to run 24/7. That would make the experience even more convenient. Overall, Morongo Casino is a fantastic place to stay and play. I completely see why it’s considered a four-star resort and has earned so many awards. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Oscar G — Google review
Morongo is fast becoming my favorite casino because Yamaava is just too crowded lately and more expensive. The vibe here is chill and relaxing. We had dinner at Cielo and the service was beyond exceptional. Enrique made us feel welcome and took his time to walk through the menu. The old fashion was truly a drink to experience. Every staff member was courteous and said hello. That I something that you don’t experience lately. It’s odd that the view of the valley below was beautiful from the men’s room and not the restaurant itself but that is the only criticism. Jose the assistant server was so helpful and we enjoyed his company too. Their staff is just the best ever! The food was amazing and we highly recommend you having dinner here. We did dress smart casual but I wish others did the same. Many looked like the were going to the beach or dinner at chilis rather than a 4 star restaurant.

We Stopped in for a 2 day stay. Check in 9/15 Check out 9/17 Check in was great, Valet and Bell perfect. Went down to the pool with my Brother and 1.5 year old daughter. Waited about 40 minutes, and no drink service or wait staff stopped by, so I walked up to the bar. They add a mandatory gratuity, not the end of the world, but there is no effort from them. these beers are not cheap so each beer earns then a $2-3 tip. Another 40-45 mins, still no one came by, I walked back up to the bar again and there was about 5 staff members all eating a fruit tray. how convenient!? what really messed with me is the girl that came to serve me shoved some fruit down her mouth and then came and opened my beers without washing her hands. I did not want to make a scene, so I whiped it off. This was 9/15 about 5pm if someone wants to look into it. About 30 minutes later I had to change my daughters diaper, and there is no changing station in the mens restroom. This was very inconvenient I'm soaking wet, my daughter is fighting because she wants to get back in the water, so I asked a staff member where I could go, she did not stop, she kind of slowed down as she said she would check. Another guest over heard and asked to help, she said she would check the women's bathroom. in fact there is a changing table in the women's restroom, she offered to block anyone from going in while I used it. I thanked her and changed my daughters diaper as quick as I could. During the rest of the trip we tried the Cafe, Food Court, Good Times Cafe, Self Parking, Multiple Bars, and they all were great. My only complaint was really the pool. it was not just 1 person, it really feels like they are laid back, no effort. I guess guaranteed tips might do that? the changing station has to be an ownership overlook? I'm sure most babies come with their mom, but not in my case. would be nice to be able to enjoy the pool with a baby as a male.

I frequently visit this casino when I win contest tickets from my preferred radio stations. I must say, the casino is impressive, the music space is exceptionally arranged, and the personnel is outstanding. Each time I visit, the concert staff and bartenders are exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. Additionally, I appreciate the sense of safety at these concerts; the security screening process is efficient, allowing for proximity to the artists. Furthermore, there is a coffee shop on-site, which is an excellent venue for enjoying coffee and desserts. It is quite pleasant! The cuisine of the casino's restaurants is exquisite. Outstanding! The casino is immaculate, primarily due to the staff, including bartenders, waitresses, and all personnel, who consistently provide exceptional service. Additionally, I appreciate your proximity to the outlets. I have not personally stayed there, but friends inform me that the rooms are rather pleasant. A casino that is essential to see if you are traveling to the desert.
Cici ( — Google review
I’ve spent the past few days here as a high-level player, and the first thing that stood out — in the worst way — was the complete lack of big wins. Smaller SoCal casinos have far more slot attendants simply because guests are actually hitting. Here, I didn’t see or hear a single meaningful payout. It feels more like a tourist trap designed for weekend visitors with deep pockets rather than a property that values or rewards loyal or VIP players. As a hospitality manager and someone who genuinely appreciates well-run upscale dining environments and casino operations, the dining situation here is completely unacceptable. For a property generating this level of revenue, the lack of guest-centered amenities — especially F&B — shows a surprising lack of guest appreciation. Late-night and early-morning dining is essentially nonexistent. The only 24/7 option is the coffee shop, and even then, the food selection is almost laughable. Sandwiches are minimal, usually sold out, and you’re left choosing between a pastry or going hungry. After a 5:00 AM workout, I went to get breakfast at 6:30 and everything was still closed. I’ve worked in and visited dozens of casino resorts, and I have never seen a property completely abandon guests between midnight and 7 AM. My stay in the private bungalow/casita was comfortable, though my guest having to walk through the bedroom to reach the bathroom was not ideal for privacy. One consistent highlight: valet ensuring my EV stays charged, and especially Javier at the bell desk. He is exceptional every single time — genuine, personable, and outstanding at what he does. We always enjoy seeing him. But between the lack of wins, the disappointing casino experience, and the shockingly inadequate dining options, the property falls far short of what a resort of this scale and revenue should be delivering.

The rooms are fairly nice. However, thoroughly impressed with their food options. Particularly, the Pescato Oyster and Seafood Bar. Friendly staff and they have really good gumbo. Also the MarketPlace Al Comal, with good Mexican food options. The mushroom tacos and crab salad were really good. I also enjoyed desserts station, really impressive good options. Also always pleased with the valet here. Nicholas was awesome..

SAGE SPA only; Reservation for 6 Swedish massages, sister's 40th birthday. We checked in, given a lovely tour(Yvonne), assigned lockers, given a soft robe and slippers to change into, offered refreshing infused water and taken to a seating area with massage chairs. Dim lighting and relaxing music played while we waited for our turn. Huan, my masseuse asked if I had any specific areas that needed extra attention and also asked me what pressure was ok. Overall our experience was great 👍🏼. We were hoping to have drinks by the pool but I'm guessing it was too early and the bar was closed.

ILLEGAL PUPPY SALES WITH NO CONCERN. Solicitors selling illegally bred small puppies in OVER 100 DEGREE heat absolutely abusing them. Cabazon security did NOTHING. It is very obvious they are peddling animals to the point they are asking people to buy them. Cabazon DO BETTER. Spoke to someone in the office who led me in the right direction to air my concern. Apparently there is different security for different areas of the shopping center. Thank you for being helpful in solving this matter. Last time I visited this place was 2015, how time flies! It is completely different now and I do think the selection of brands shrinks quite a bit. I’m here for the billabong outlet shops but unfortunately it is closed but not correctly marked in google maps. I hope there are more shops for food and drinks. The Starbucks gets overcrowded because a lack of coffee shops & bubble tea shops. It gets overheated at noon and it’s easy to get dehydrated. When everyone wants a iced drink Starbucks become almost the only shop that you can get a refresher from

Desert Hills Premium Outlets has all the major designer stores — Gucci, Chloé, Celine, Tom Ford, and more — so it’s a great place if you’re looking to do luxury outlet shopping. Some stores had long lines while others had none. We came across the Valentino store, and it was the only one where the front security wasn’t pleasant. There was only one customer inside, no line at all, yet he still told us to “wait in line” because they were helping someone. It felt unnecessary and a bit rude, especially when the store was basically empty. It came off like he just wanted to make people wait to feel important. Because of that, we decided not to go in.
Minty F — Google review
First time visiting. Lots and lots of stores to shop from very enjoyable to walk-through especially at night time. Lots of restaurants and parking spaces as well. They even have a McDonald’s close by and it’s a great for kids because they have tablets on the tables for them to play with while the adults catch a breather. I highly recommend it now we return.

Really beautiful in autumn. There are multiple easy trails/loops that would be manageable for small children. However, not the best for disabled people as the way down from the visitor center is steep and may be difficult to go up and down.

I loved the atmosphere of this campground with its incredibly tall trees. I only gave it a 4 star because many of the tent sites were badly eroded as well as the parking places for them. Electric sites are available however it appeared that the only site w/ water hook up was the handicap site next to the rest room.

Breathtaking view taking the aerial tramway. It is worth every bit of the cost and experience. We came to the park via the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for our anniversary! There are 5 ‘Notches’ along the 1.5 mile Desert View Trail, and those lookouts are spectacular views of the valley below! Can’t wait to come back and hike longer, there are over 50 miles of trails! It’s much cooler (40 to 50 degrees cooler from the desert floor) atop the mountain, so it’s a perfect activity during the summer

Rode the tram up to the station, and made the 10 mile round trip hike to the summit of San Jacinto Peak! I’m from the east coast, so this was an experience unlike anything else! I won’t lie, we came blissfully unaware and underprepared for the strain of high altitude hiking, but we got the job done and made it home! I learned AFTER the hike, that San Jacinto Peak is one of the USA Ultra 57’s! Now I don’t think this means I’m gonna go climb Rainier tomorrow, but I’d like to do as many Ultras as I can! Chase what makes you feel alive people! I will forever be grateful I made this journey, so far from home. I hope I can inspire others to do the same!

Lake Hemet is a picturesque man-made reservoir nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, surrounded by pine forests and natural beauty. It's a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering activities such as boating, fishing, camping, and hiking. The tranquil environment provides an opportunity to rent fishing pontoons for accessing hard-to-reach spots. Visitors can enjoy the serene lake, abundant hiking trails, and diverse wildlife including squirrels, birds, butterflies, and dragonflies.
Beautiful, breathtaking mountains and paths. Outstanding, large sandy beaches offering the opportunity to do many activities. It was FREE to visit!

It was cold, but wonderful. After all we were here in March. Best to go during the summer, but we wanted to just get away. It is a hidden gem tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains. Maybe because it was chilly, we had the place much to ourselves. The fishing was pretty good and we camped one night and had fresh fish. The lake is serene and beautiful. There is lots of hiking to do and you will find lovely streams. Behind the lake is beautiful forests that are just breathtaking. There is sand and RVs are welcome. You forget that the City is nearby and you can just relax for a day or a week, whatever you have time to do. This is a must stop for nature lovers. There was staff there even on this cold day. They were wonderful and gave us great tips. Next time we will come for a 3 day weekend. It is wonderful

My family and I stayed here for three days and two nights. It is beautiful, and serene. There are cute squirrels, and birds. There are also butterflies and dragonflies. This campground is very well maintained. Handicap accessible for me on my knee scooter. I felt like this place was a very safe environment. Our son had a blast. The only bummer was the lack of Wi-Fi, and phone reception. Kept us off our electronics though. If you rent some cabins and rooms, some of them include Wi-Fi.

Went there a week ago while it was snowing… love this place and a great way to kick back and enjoy life. Went again mid August…really nice place with a lot of happy campers, literally and figuratively. Hiked to the dam and back…

Seeing the lake full of fresh water 💦 after all the rain was such a beautiful sight 🤩. Everything around it was lush and 💚 green. The wildflowers🌸 were in abundance. Seeing all the families fishing 🐟, camping 🏕️and having fun, brought me great joy😊.

Our family comes here every year, and every year we have the best time. The campsites are always clean, the fishing is good, the kayaking is amazing, and the staff are always friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough. Can't wait until next year.

Love this campground. It's always a great experience. Fishing not as good as it use to be, but I enjoy just sitting back relaxing by the water.

Yucaipa Regional Park

Park
Nature & Parks
This park offers a beach area, pedal boats, campsites, a playground, disc golf & picnic grills.
Nice camp ground for both RV and cars. Can do fishing at the lake, some water sports, built to the ground cover ed hut and table benches are useful for large cookouts! Lots of fields and trails. I would definitely come back here again!

Yucaipa Regional Park truly lives up to its "huge" reputation, offering a vast expanse for a variety of outdoor activities. The park provides ample opportunities for recreation, from numerous ponds and walking trails to a swimming pool with water activities. You can even enjoy paddle boating for an additional $12 per hour. For those who enjoy angling, fishing is also an option, though it comes with an extra fee. Entry to the park is $15 per car, with the same fee applying if you wish to use the swimming pool. While the park boasts many public restrooms, their cleanliness leaves much to be desired, which is a significant drawback. On a brighter note, there are well-equipped picnic areas with BBQ facilities, making it an excellent spot for a family outing. The park offers beautiful scenic views, enhanced by several large pine trees that add to its natural charm. You'll find plenty of free parking, and the overall atmosphere is quite and peaceful, making it a relaxing escape. It's also a pet-friendly environment, so your furry friends can join in the fun. For families with children, the park offers kid-friendly activities, including soccer playing areas and dedicated playgrounds. Yucaipa Regional Park is a good choice for those seeking a spacious outdoor park with a wide range of activities. Its size, scenic beauty, and family-friendly amenities are definite highlights. However, the cleanliness of the restrooms is an area that significantly detracts from the overall experience and could be improved.

Great humongous beautiful Green park and campground with fishing ponds that don’t really seem to contain any fish. But the facilities has paddle boats and entire water park section with a beach that hasn’t been used in over five years and the snack bar even has all dusty spiderwebs going from the windows to the counter showing how long it’s been since they’ve actually used these wonderful things they built when they built this park. And perhaps maybe stocking the pond with actual fish might be smart sometime soon since there were others fishing there that spent money on their activity and came to this location for recreational fun camping and fishing, and they seemed quite disappointed as was I.

Excellent work and professionalism I am very happy with the work that JC Wallpaper Hanging did in my house. From the first contact they were very friendly, punctual and attentive to every detail. The installation of the wallpaper was impeccable, with high quality finishes and just as I imagined it. You can see the experience and care they have in their work. I recommend them 100% if you are looking to give a special touch to your walls!

Had never driven through this park before after wanting to for many years. $10 entry fee gets you lots to see and do for the day. RV Camping: overnight area was ok but not too convenient to any of the lake areas. Tent Camping: $100 gets you a large camping site for 20+ tents. Too bad there aren't any smaller individual campng areas right next to a few of the fishing lake spots. Overall a great park to spend the entire day relaxing or family outings. Water slides looked fun. Will definitely come back when I have the whole day to stay. Just did a "drive thru" to check it out and on one of my stops around the lake had a bald eagle fly right over my head.

Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre

Amphitheater
Concerts & Shows
Open-air arts center from 1923 known for Ramona, North America's longest-running outdoor drama.
ABSOLUTELY astounding. Wonderful outdoor play fill if beautiful rich colored costumes. Authentic Native American and Mexican portrayals with cowboys and horses. Reasonable concession prices. Bring a cushion or rent one. Suggest hat, shades and sun screen. Entertainment before, intermission and after play ends UPDATE...Motown Review was great.

First time attending the Ramona Pageant at the Ramona Bowl. I finally made to the Ramona Pageant and in their Centennial year non the less. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and the lore of the 100 year history. The Pageant was held this year for 3 weekends, two in April and one in May. There is still time to get tickets for the final weekend this year. Things you should know: ( may be subject to change) • parking is $5 • bring a cushion, the concrete seats are hard. They do rent cushions for $3 apiece • bring a hat sun can be intense, hats are available for sale • food, beverages and Alcohol are sold and just like any event prices can be high. • Restrooms are available • handicap friendly • the is a free museum to enjoy Enjoy the show!

Very sad performance. Terrible, do not waste your time. Horrible timing, way way too long, lots of disjointed scenes. Needs to be cut at least an hour off the script. Swayed away from the original book. I so wanted to enjoy this performance. Wish I could say one positive thing.

Great historic play with Indian and Spanish music and culture in Hemet about San Diego history- Indians, rancheros Spanish people, and american settlers. I learnt quite a bit. Just be sure to bring a good sun hat, sunscreen, layers etc. was pretty hot and then it got pretty chilly towards the end. One elderly lady got a heat stroke and got carried out on a stretcher. 30 min intermission which seems longer than normal probably small sized bathrooms. Fair to good live musics/ musicians. Spanish and Indian Dances parking is 5.00/ car and they sell programs and seat cushions and refreshments outside the amphitheater. Seats are concrete so you can bring your own cushions. Seems like they don’t fill up the left hand most side of the amphitheater. Top most seats at the amphitheater have shade tarps.

Awesome place to visit. Historical location as the longest running outdoor play in America. Beautiful view of the San Jacinto valley looking north at the San Jacinto Mountains.

Attended the 99th Year performance. Yes, it is hot...so. prepare. The people are delightful. Unless you have a terrific seat cushion, rent theirs $4.00 for a good cause.

What an awesome outdoor amphitheater in little ol' Hemet! The grounds are beautiful and there were plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from at the concession stand (even beer and wine). The Ramona Pageant was better than I had hoped! It was a little toasty and there wasn't much shade so I wished I had brought a hat, but other than that, I was so pleased with my experience.

Western Science Center

Science museum
Museums
Kid-friendly science museum with dinosaurs, fossils & history, plus hands-on science activities.
The Western Science Center is a great place to visit on a hot day. Bring your kids if you need a break and to let them burn off some energy. The science center offers an exhibit just for kids. But for the adults, if you want to learn about the local history such as the founding families like the Dominigoni family amongst others then I highly suggest going. The museum also explains what the Native American tribes were like and how they inhabited the area. For the fossils, they had a few things but one that will catch your eye is the “Giant Sloth”. I highly suggest taking a trip to visit.
Nathaniel R — Google review
This museum is great for an afternoon. Their exhibits are dramatic and accessible lessons on the local history going back into time! People with mobility issues will be able to visit and enjoy. Along with their exhibits are an amazing array of fantastic artwork on the walls and for exhibit diplays. The museum doesn't just have bones to view. They've 3d printed copies of bones and skulls of mega-fauna and other animals you can touch. There are a bunch of activities for younger kids like a clue search, etching, and other activities.
Steven Y — Google review
This is a cute little museum with lots to offer. Especially given it's location is in Hemet, where there isn't much else to do nearby. They have a few different rooms including one about settlers who came to the region in the 1800s, the dinosaur room, which has bones, educational material and recreations of skeletons of mammoths, mastodon, mega sloths, and more, a theater with a short movie on the fossils, and a temporary exhibits room. When we went the temporary exhibits room had a huge kids exploration room with instruments, light brights, lego stuff, puzzles, and physics related activities. We went with 3 kids of varying ages and all 3 had a great time. This was way cheaper and more worth it than a kid's playgym. Highly recommend if you're looking for something to do in the area.

Please, please, please visit and support this beautiful facility. The natural history that has been preserved and presented at this museum is astonishing. A great place for social events as well. Enjoy the incredible history of this earth and area!

Really cool. Amazing little place. 1 big room but with alot to learn. Amazing exhibits. In gift shop have quality castings of fossils that they have in their archives. Attached pictures of my hawl. mammut pacificus "Mastodon" upper tooth Mastodon tooth And paramylodon claw

This place was cool and all but ima have to criticize the fact that the main attraction was a large room with few fossils. The room could fit way more fossils than that. i also dont like that even though it appears to be a large building the interior of the museum was relatively tiny and theres few exhibits surrounding the main one. There are also outdoor exhibits. But overall this place needs more development.

Diamond Valley Lake

Lake
Nature & Parks
Boating & angling from a marina on a reservoir, with trails through nearby flower-filled meadows.
It was the end of March and only a few flowers were blooming, but it was a beautiful place. There was a big snake, so don't wear light clothes. It's good to have a selfie stick to attack.

The spring blooms here by the lake did not disappoint us. Its a beautiful place to go see the blooms, take a lot of pictures and do a small hike around the lake or the flowers. We did the flower trail and finished it in like 2-3 hours even after stopping a lot for taking pictures. 11$ per car for entrance, and 4$ per person for the trail.
Jagadish S — Google review
I went to see the flowers two weeks ago, it was in full bloom, there were about five varieties of flowers, I don't know its name, the colors were purple, dark blue, orange, yellow, white! It's really, really beautiful! It is worth going to watch and hike, relax ! There are some flying bugs on the mountain, if you don't like it, you can protect your face and wear a mask
Gina M — Google review
Just went the other day here. Even though it was the weekday, you had to go early as it could get crowded. You can go boating, fishing, hiking...etc. No dogs allowed. $11 for parking and $4 each person for the trail. Beautiful views, and if you're able, go up the mountain to have a better view. You can spend the whole day here with your family. Although they should add more benches for those who are disable to be able to hike up.
Khrista C — Google review
Good place to go to enjoy the super bloom. Parking is $11, $4/person if you want to go on trails. I would suggest about 3 hours for taking pictures and walking on trails to enjoy the flowers. The line to get into the park gets very long starting at 11am, could taking over 1hr just to get into the park.

PROS: Beautiful wildflower display this year. Came in 2019 and was awestruck: 2023 is even better. So many varieties and vivid colors like I've never seen in my entire life in so CA. CONS: Crowds are present with some behaving poorly and trampling/picking flowers. This is not DVL's fault, but a little hard to explain to my 4 year old that grownups are breaking the rules, but we are going to obey them. This means that the security that is present is constantly whistling and yelling if they see people going off path. On weekends, expect an hour long wait to park if you want to park at the wildflower trailhead. Parking is $11 a car plus access is $3 per person 3 & over. If you don't want to pay for parking you can hike up from the bottom of the road but it's about a mile steep hike up the road. Bathrooms OOO so all there is are porta potties. Well maintained upon arrival, once we left dirty and out of paper. Long and short: come midweek early to avoid the debacle/ if you want peace in nature. The environment is gorgeous, the crowds are probably just overwhelming the resources.

The trail here is pretty to see the wild flowers. We saw three snakes, one of them is rattle snake so beware. Stop thinking about pictures and start looking at ground
