Episcopal church
Sights & Landmarks
St. Paul's Chapel, located in Lower Manhattan, is a colonial-era Episcopal church known for its historical significance and architectural beauty. Built in 1766, it is the oldest surviving religious building in Manhattan and a prime example of late Georgian church architecture. The chapel withstood both the Great Fire of 1776 and the events of September 11, 2001. It also holds an exhibit commemorating the latter tragedy. St.
I love coming here to meditate—it’s clean, warm, and has a great atmosphere. Plus, on certain days, the security guards are surprisingly friendly. I stopped by on Friday, January 31st, after 2 PM, and the pianist/organist was having an absolute jam session. He was going all out, which was a pleasant surprise. So if you’re looking for some impressive organ music, this seems like the best time to go!

Beautiful chapel near the World Trade Center memorial fountains. This church survived the attacks & stood as a center for respite for all of the first responders and volunteers. Lovely garden and cemetery and some inspiring artifacts from the 9/11 attacks including a priests stole covered in patches from fire departments around the world
Sami O — Google review
Very close to the 9/11 memorial. Seems to still be an operating church. While small it has beautiful artifacts and stories. You can also walk through the cemetery around the back. There is no price or ticket for entering.
Marlon B — Google review
So this is the first church I ever entered.Where they had security armed guards and all you have to enter through a metal detector which they explained it as this was the church that was across from the nine eleven buildings, the twin towers, which makes sense. I did, however say I wish they had a metal detectors down south in south carolina and it was answered with a why?And I said, that's where Dylan Roof had the shooting. And I got a response: "I hope they have them now."😂. But on a serious note, this is relatively a good spot to look at.But you can't go upstairs. And it also has, I believe jewish services for some reason. And it seems that no one continues to preach at the church. The church is also famous as the grounds where george washington was sworn in as president, which is pretty cool. But at least wanted it to have a side where it pointed down and said here where he stood and was sworn in that would have been helpful. And yes, I know it's was across from the twid towers, but I would have liked a little bio of the people who were churchgoers, who died in the twin towers that would have been pretty insightful.

Was able to visit here on September 11th for the ringing of the bell and a small religious ceremony. What a beautiful and quiet place for a tribute to all of those that lost their lives that terrible day and to all those that helped to rebuild.
Chris T — Google review
This church is located just steps away from the World Trade Center 911 memorial. It was built in 1766 and, it is said, that George Washington worshipped here. St. Paul's Chapel remained standing after the September 11, 2001, attacks when the World Trade Center collapsed behind it.
Dan T — Google review
You may want to spend some time here not just for prayers but also for personal thoughts and meditation. It's a small chapel, but what it offers is beyond its bricks.
Jun J — Google review
I visited this because it features in a fascinating book called The Harbinger. This church survived the terrorist attacks all but unscathed. Despite being so close to the area and that, amongst other reasons is why it features in the story. That aside, it is a beautiful piece of architecture with a lovely garden and just a minute or so from the memorial and very worth a quick loo whilst you're there.

Century 21 NYC

Department store
Shopping
Century 21 NYC is a renowned department store located in Downtown Manhattan, offering a wide range of discounted brand-name apparel, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and children. With over 10 stores across New York City, it has become a leader in high-end off-price fashion retail. I love the clearance items at C21 and the amazing designer items and great quality! At times I shop here for hours!! My fav store!! Quality items, staff is patient and helpful, great deals. C21 cannot be beat. Do grateful it’s back!!
Stephanie A — Google review
Most of their outlets were closed down post Covid and this is the only outlet available now across New York. Spanning across 4 floors, they still hold a very decent amount of branded and luxury fashion goods - from sunglasses, jackets, handbags, to shoes, jeans and undergarments. Designs and sizes will vary according to availability and what you see is also depending on your luck. Grab what you can once you have your eyes on it as you never know if that will be the last piece ever. Stall was well-organized generally and staff was helpful.
Xin H — Google review
I returned Century 21 after over 10 years. When I was tourist, this place was my favorite. I would go crazy and picked up bargains from mountains of clothes.(longtime ago, the store was a place of chaos) As others have mentioned, there are fewer products available now, but I was surprised at how organized the store is. The fitting rooms are as beautiful as a high end boutique, and there are many private rooms, which is great! It’s a discount store for brands items, so prices aren’t as cheap as Marshalls or TJ Max. But I searched carefully and found a T-shirt for my husband and workout top for myself at a great price, so I’m happy. I recommend going to the store as soon as it opens so you can enjoy shopping without others.

Century 21 NYC, located at 22 Cortlandt Street, New York, is back after reopening its famous flagship store. The new version is smaller than before but modern, clean, and well organized. You’ll find designer clothing, shoes, and accessories, though the selection is not as wide as in the past and prices feel a bit higher than old Century 21 days. Still, it’s worth a visit for those who remember the iconic store and want to shop for recognizable brands in Lower Manhattan.
Iqbal N — Google review
This was my first time in the new Century 21, and I was very pleased. It's spacious, and not crowded with people nor merchandise. The prices and customer service are top notch. I sampled a fragrance I didn't catch the name of but I plan to return and purchase. I did buy a knapsack for my brother at under $20! Impressive.

Had a blast in the Suit department yesterday. Was there to get outfits for a wedding, and my mom came with for moral support and advice. Derek took great care of us, was super kind and helpful, was responsive when I liked and didn't like things, and helped us find a couple fits that I was really happy with. The tailor - Jack? - also really looked after us and was a lot of fun! Especially for someone who doesn't browse the suit department very often, it was a great experience and a real boost to have the two of them on our team 🙏
Hudson W — Google review
I love C21 and always have. The beginning of your relaunch was welcomed but rocky, IMHO, but then you seem to have hit some kind of stride and the clothing got better, cooler, relevant. I miss another floor! While the menswear remains great, I was surprised at how expensive men’s clothing has become in comparison to women’s. But choices remain more limited than in the past, and at this visit, as is the tradition with C21, I found nothing to buy.
Tina B — Google review
I really like this place—I first came here about 20 years ago. But on my recent visit, I walked around the downstairs shoe section for about 15–20 minutes looking for help with three pairs of shoes, and nobody was available. Finding the right size is also a nightmare since there’s no clear way to know what sizes are actually in stock. The staff themselves are friendly and helpful when you find them, but the store really needs better management and an updated inventory system. We’re a quarter century past the millennium—it’s not a massive ask.

9/11 Memorial & Museum

Mentioned on
10 lists
Historical place museum
Sights & Landmarks
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is a poignant and emotional site in New York City, honoring the victims of the 1993 and 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks. Located at the National September 11 Memorial, this museum features artifacts such as debris from the Twin Towers, personal belongings of those lost, fire trucks deformed by heat, and remnants of sidewalks and street signs.
A Deeply Moving and Unforgettable Experience Visiting the 9/11 Memorial & Museum was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve ever had. The site is both heartbreaking and inspiring — a place that honors the lives lost while reminding us of the strength and unity that followed such tragedy. The twin reflecting pools are breathtaking in their simplicity, with the names of the victims beautifully engraved around the edges. Standing there, hearing the water and seeing the skyline, gave me a deep sense of reflection and respect. Inside the museum, the exhibits are incredibly well curated. Artifacts, photos, and personal stories bring the events of that day to life in a very human way. It’s emotional and sometimes difficult to walk through, but also very meaningful. The staff were respectful and helpful, and the entire atmosphere encourages quiet remembrance. I left with a heavy heart but also with renewed appreciation for resilience, compassion, and peace. Tip: Give yourself at least 2–3 hours to experience everything. It’s not just a tourist attraction — it’s a memorial that deserves time and reflection.
Aurora C — Google review
This exhibit was amazing! Getting to see history. I was in the 6th grade when this event took place and just seeing it now from a different perspective as an adult just hits different. I'll share some photos that I have taken but it is 100% worth the visit. It just opens up so many more questions about where we are now against where we may have been. It also questions perspectives on mindsets these days but I will not get into that here. This place was awesome and I would definitely love to go back during another visit to NY.
Josh W — Google review
Visiting the 9/11 Memorial is an experience that stays with you long after you leave. I first came to New York in 2000, just a year before the tragic events that would forever change the skyline. Back then, the Twin Towers stood tall and proud, dominating the horizon. I remember looking up at them in awe, thinking about how massive and permanent they seemed — like nothing could ever topple them. At the time, I could never have imagined that I would one day return to the same spot and find that the buildings were gone. When I came back years later to visit the memorial, the feeling was surreal. The area where the towers once stood is now a place of quiet reflection, marked by the enormous, cascading pools set within the footprints of the original buildings. Water flows continuously, creating a soft, mournful sound, while the names of the victims are engraved around the edges. Standing there, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of history, loss, and resilience. The emptiness where the towers once reached toward the sky is both haunting and profoundly moving. Walking around the memorial, I was struck by the contrast between what I remembered and what I saw now. The city has moved forward, new buildings rise around the site, and life in Manhattan continues its relentless pace. Yet the memorial holds a stillness that makes time feel suspended. Every detail — from the endless water, to the engraved names, to the subtle landscaping — is designed to honor what was lost while reminding visitors of the strength and perseverance of those who survived, and the courage of those who came after. Being there, I couldn’t help but reflect on the impermanence of even the most monumental structures. The towers seemed unshakable in my memory, but tragedy and time proved otherwise. The memorial doesn’t try to replace them; it doesn’t try to replicate what was lost. Instead, it invites visitors to pause, remember, and honor. It’s both humbling and healing, a space where grief and respect coexist in a quiet, powerful way. Visiting the 9/11 Memorial is an emotional journey. You leave with a deeper understanding of loss, resilience, and the fragility of even the mightiest human creations. Coming back to a place I once knew so differently, seeing the towers replaced by pools of reflection, reminded me that memory and history are alive — and that remembrance is as important as rebuilding.
Jasper R — Google review
Wow wow wow. Months behind on leaving this review, but wanted to be sure to encourage others to visit. This was such a well thought out memorial and museum. Very thorough and respectful to those who perished. It is very moving. To be in the space, looking at the foundation, the energy was palpable. This was agreed way to honor those souls and those who lost their lives saving others. Incredible.
Fe P — Google review
One of the very best museums I've ever been to. Very comprehensive displays tastefully done. Recommend ordering tickets ahead of time for early morning to beat the crowds. Some time slots sell out. The audio device is also highly recommended.
John Z — Google review
Buy tickets in advance. Allow more time than the recommended 60-90 mins, especially if you are old enough to remember where you were when you heard the news or saw it unfold. Highly moving exhibits bring the victims front and center of your visit, making the experience all the more personal and emotional. Be prepared. However, it is an experience I highly recommend. Those who forget history are bound to repeat it, and this is an event we should never forget.
Elizabeth J — Google review
The 9/11 Memorial is a deeply moving and powerful place that honors the lives lost and the resilience of those who carried on. Standing beside the reflecting pools where the Twin Towers once stood is an emotional experience that words can hardly capture. The design is both beautiful and solemn, with every name carefully inscribed as a reminder of the human impact of that day. The sound of the water and the calm atmosphere create a space for reflection and remembrance. It’s a must-visit for anyone who wants to truly understand the strength and unity that emerged from tragedy.
Adam W — Google review
This museum was the main thing I wanted to do when I visited New York for the first time. Buying my ticket and getting into the museum was easy and organized. The exhibits were well done and organized in a timeline that was easy to follow. There were plenty of staff members to direct people and answer questions as well as a self guided audio tour that was available for purchase. This was a moving experience and I would recommend this to anyone who is able to visit.

Observation deck
One World Observatory is situated on the 100th, 101st, and 102nd floors of the One World Trade Center, offering breathtaking views of New York City's skyline. Visitors are taken up to the observatory in dedicated elevators called Sky Pods, which provide a video-enhanced journey through time and space showcasing NYC's evolution over the decades. The experience continues with interactive exhibits about the building's construction and cutting-edge technology.
I went in the afternoon after lunch time around 2 pm and just get the ticket from the Kiosk on arrival. I think the online price is better at $39 pp instead of $50 pp on site. I love the video story of the building in the lift and the New York city introduction video before you enter the observatory deck! It was so well made, the reveal was fantastic! Absolutely beautiful city view from the floor 102 and cool presents you can buy from the Gallery shop at One World up on the viewing floor. The pennies coin machine is a great price too, you can get a set of 8 pennies pressed for $5. And there are 2 different set of 16 different designs to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Bathroom available at the gift shop before you come down and also after the lift down before you exit. You can also top up your bottle with cold water before you leave after the lift. Definitely recommend this observatory if you are in New York city!

**beware skirts/dresses. Floors may reflect unwanted exposure** If it's a warm day the observation decks will be hot. We bought the pass that allowed for flexible priority entry. the pass included a spending credit to be used at gift shop or restaurant as well as the observation tablet. They will try to sell you the tablet as an add on at the top. Security and elevators were easy. Nice video in elevator as well as at the top priority to entry. It was an enjoyable experience. We sat and had a drink with our credits to enjoy the view. Beware, it was still $$.
Pam B — Google review
This was a very nice experience, towering over NYC with multiple view in every direction. The elevator is lightning fast and you do not even feel it, one of the fastest in the world we were told. The animated views along with the elevation counter was pretty cool. It was not very busy at all, walked right in. There were 3 floors to observe. I would have liked to have seen more on the very top floor but they kind of usher you out of this floor rather quickly. Overall I think it was a “thing to do” experience and would recommend. A bit on the pricey side for the time you spend there, but still nice to do. If you want to see some really spectacular views, this is for you!
Tony R — Google review
Welcome, to the highest skyscraper of New York. It still feels surreal to me having the opportunity to finally see it with my own eyes. It is massive, it is huge, it is magical in his own. Going up by the elevator where you get a very nice animation of the build of New York, and after 40-ish seconds you reached the top where you can admire the amazing view of New York City. Now, I must say it may not have the charm, or the stellar history like the North and South World Trade Center had in the past, but the One World Trade Center defenitely deserves his mark in New York City. Which also makes it one of the must see things when you are in this town. Small tip; Make sure your make a reservation in advance! Just to be sure.
Delano K — Google review
An amazing experience. so much light and space and the views speak for themselves. This is a calm and serene experience compared to some of the other observation decks. There's a solemnity about this place as well obviously. I bought tickets on the same morning and it was very well run and easy to access.
Neil M — Google review
This is definitely the best Skyscraper to visit in NYC! When you go in the Elevator there is a little animation about the Twin Towers and then building the One World Trade Center. Then, When you get up in the observatory you have the craziest view of all of NYC and the other islands. In Conclusion, this is definitely the best place in NYC to site see
A U — Google review
One world observatory is one of the highest point at New York. I would recommend booking tickets in advance. The lift experience was amazing- both going up and down. The views are breathtaking. Maybe going in the evening would be best to get both day and night view if the schedule allows
Shobhit G — Google review
Remember to ask one of the employees at the payment kiosk for a discount code. The employee near us reminded us to use the family discount for all 6 of us for 25% off. So cool of her to point it out for us. This discount code isn't offered, or at least, not easily found when buying tickets online. Consider buying tickets when you arrive. The best part of the entire experience was the elevator ride up. Put your back against the door and pay attention to the history lesson of the vertical growth of New York of 300 years and the rise of the city in 100 floors of lift. It makes the already fast ride even quicker. There's a similar experience on the way down, but not nearly as cool. On the observation floor, there are a few plaques on the walls, make sure you read each of them for some interesting facts. You ought to plan this into your next trip to NY.

Statue of Liberty

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy, is an iconic national monument in New York City. Standing at 151 feet tall, it was a gift from France to the United States in 1886. Visitors can take guided tours and explore the museum on Liberty Island for stunning harbor and city views. Ferries run regularly from Battery Park and Liberty State Park for easy access.
We booked our visit through Statue City Cruises, the official and only authorized provider for trips to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island — and that’s important to know, as plenty of unofficial sellers will try to offer you “alternative” tickets. We had seen the Statue of Liberty from the water before — on a speedboat called The Beast back in 2018 — but this was our first time setting foot on Liberty Island. And what a difference that makes. The island is larger than we expected, with plenty of space to walk around, grab a snack, and take photos from every angle. We picked up the included audio guide, which offers three different tours, but ended up just exploring on our own. The view toward Manhattan is spectacular, and the statue itself is iconic — impressive both up close and from afar. We tried to get tickets for the crown, but those were sold out nearly two months in advance, so book early if that’s on your list. The museum visit at the end was fascinating, offering great context and artifacts. No wonder over four million people visit every year. The Statue of Liberty is one of the most iconic symbols of freedom, and visiting it feels special from start to finish. The ferry ride itself offers breathtaking views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Liberty Island is peaceful, clean, and full of great photo spots. The Statue looks massive and impressive from up close, and the museum gives deep insight into its construction, symbolism, and restoration. If you book the pedestal or crown tickets early, the views are even better. Expect lines during peak hours, but the organization is smooth. Overall, it’s a must-visit landmark for anyone coming to New York.

An Amazing Visit to the Statue of Liberty! My visit to the Statue of Liberty was amazing. What a spectacular statue! Today was clear and sunny, which made it a perfect day for pictures and videos. I totally recommend that people come to visit and see this magnificent art. My Recommendations for Your Trip: Book in Advance: Purchase your tickets online before you go. Trust me, the line to buy tickets on-site is insane. Check the Weather: Choose your day wisely and make sure it is sunny. The views are so much better! Charge Your Devices: Make sure your phone and professional camera are fully charged before you leave. You don't want to miss a shot!

We booked to view this historic and iconic landmark via statue city cruises. We had a very smooth experience starting from the queue management, security checking, cruise to the liberty island and back. Very well managed and staffs were there to guide us. The experience is great. This monument stands tall and it reminds us about all the history related to it. Beautiful in short. When you visit NYC, this is the must visit place. Iconic and beautiful.

Our trip to Liberty State Park was fantastic from start to finish. We bought tickets from the NJ side. Parking was easy. Buying tickets on mobile was super smooth, and going through security was a breeze. We went during the week and experienced absolutely no wait time—both on the way there and coming back. The ferry itself was clean and comfortable. The first and second floors are fully heated, which was perfect, and the top deck offers amazing views. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! Below a Picture of the actual NJ ferry

We really enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty! The entire area was very clean and well maintained, and the museum was full of fascinating information - a great mix of history and insight. The walk around the island was lovely, offering amazing views of downtown Manhattan, New Jersey, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island. It’s truly a special perspective of New York. The cafeteria food was decent, with better prices than expected, and the souvenir shop had something for every taste and budget. Overall, a memorable experience that’s absolutely worth it for anyone visiting NYC.

I visited the Statue of Liberty with my mom and sister, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. Seeing it up close was honestly breathtaking the statue is much larger than I expected, and the views from the pedestal were beautiful . We took the ferry from Battery Park, which was really easy and gave us great views of both Liberty Island and Ellis Island along the way. Hiking up as far as we could inside the statue was such a cool experience you really get to appreciate the scale and craftsmanship of this incredible monument. A few fun facts: the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France in 1886 to celebrate freedom and democracy. She’s made of copper, which has oxidized over time to create her iconic green color, and her full height from base to torch is about 305 feet! The seven rays on her crown represent the seven continents and seven seas, symbolizing liberty spreading across the world. If you’re visiting New York, this is an absolute must-do. It’s historic, inspiring, and truly beautiful an experience that makes you appreciate what the Statue of Liberty stands for. 🗽✨ *UNESCO heritage site*

Amazing tour to one of the most iconic landmarks in New York! We took the ferry from Battery Park all the way to the Statue. Trip is nice and short, full of beautiful views. I highly recommend the tour that includes the access to the crown. It's a 198 steps very narrow way to the top but it's worth it.

Island
Sights & Landmarks
Ellis Island, often mistaken for Liberty Island, holds a significant place in history as the entry point for over 12 million immigrants seeking a new life in America from 1892 to 1954. Now part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument, it welcomes visitors daily and provides insight into the immigration process that shaped New York City and the nation. The island also houses a museum with exhibits sharing the stories of these immigrants.
Really liked my visit, and left feeling more respect for the risk takers who took the journey here aspiring for a better life. I took a tour here, and would recommend that— but a self guided tour would be okay, too. Lots of history on immigrants, of course, so if you want to learn about that, or if you come from a family of migrants, this is a must go to spot.

We didn’t plan to stop here, but since it was on the way to NYC, we decided to check it out. And we liked it a lot. We took a free tour about it and it was very informative and interesting. We checked the main building as well. I wish we had more time to explore the whole island. Definitely recommend it!!!

We visited Ellis Island as part of the Statue of Liberty tour. After the excitement of seeing Lady Liberty up close, Ellis Island felt a bit… underwhelming. There’s definitely a lot of history packed into the museum, but unless you’re really into immigration records and long reading panels, it might not hold your attention for long. The building itself is beautiful, and it’s meaningful to think about the millions who passed through here, but the experience felt more like a quiet museum stroll than something engaging. The kids got bored quickly, and honestly, so did we. If you’re a history buff, you’ll probably appreciate it more. Otherwise, you might be ready to catch the next ferry back sooner than expected.

Plan to spend at least an hour a half inside this museum. Plenty of info to read inside. We enjoyed the New Eras of Immigration exhibit. Restrooms on the second floor are beautiful and spacious! You can refill your water bottles at the refill station.

Just loved to know the history of immigration and immigrants. Loved how beautifully it is arranged and how in detail they collected every piece of information, things used by them, and artifacts are displayed for public view. Beautiful island and sunset and statue of liberty from the island view is incredible.

Visited Ellis Island right after the Statue of Liberty and it was a meaningful experience. 🇺🇸 The museum offers a powerful look into the stories of immigrants who arrived in America, and walking through the historic halls felt like stepping into their journeys. Spent time roaming around, taking videos, and soaking in the history. A must-visit pairing with Liberty Island.

The High Line is a renowned elevated park built on an old railway line, offering stunning views of the city and the river. This 1.45-mile-long linear park in Manhattan was transformed from an abandoned railway viaduct into a popular public space in 2009. Designed by Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf, the park features a continuous walkway surrounded by gardens with diverse plant species that thrived on the disused rail line.
This is such a cool walking path/pedestrian route for anyone wanting to walk near the Hudson Yard area to Pier 57/Chelsea Market. Lots of green spaces and natural plantings with the old railroad lines, and places with stairs and elevators to go down to street level. Nice way to see some cool buildings and avoid traffic and stoplights. You can enter near the Vessel in Hudson Yard area, or end there if you start above the Chelsea Market.
Sarah H — Google review
A wonderful use of old elevated train tracks turned into beautiful greenery in the middle of the city. So many different kinds of vegetation and lots of great art to see along the way. We walked about 2 miles of it from The Edge down to Chelsea Market.

The High Line is one of the most unique and enjoyable outdoor experiences in New York City. Built on an elevated historic rail line, it offers a peaceful walkway above the busy streets, with great views of the city and plenty of greenery along the way. It’s a perfect place for a stroll, whether you’re looking to take photos, enjoy the art installations, or just relax in a quieter space. The mix of plants, architecture, and open views of the Hudson River makes it feel both urban and calming at the same time. Depending on how fast you walk, you can explore the whole thing in about 30–60 minutes, making it a great stop that doesn’t take up your whole day. It can get crowded during peak hours, but it’s still a lovely experience overall. A must-visit if you’re in the city and want something scenic, relaxing, and completely free. Please leave a like if you found this helpful!

Lovely for an autumn walk and lots of great photo opportunities. Clean bathrooms. Lots of city views. Surrounded by buildings with unique architecture. Lots of benches and viewing areas, including one where you can watch traffic. Landscaping and sculptures.

This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.

The Experience: This is a fantastic spot for a nice walking experience above the city streets. It offers a unique perspective of Manhattan and serves as a great path to get to Hudson Yards, offering a perfect, looming view of The Edge as you approach. Accessibility Note: Be mindful of where you enter. I found the stairs to be very steep at the access point I used. If you have heavy bags or mobility issues, you definitely want to double-check the map for elevator access beforehand, as the stairs can be a workout. Verdict: Despite the climb up, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. It’s a refreshing break from the traffic below.

A unique and beautiful walkway throughout New York City. From Hudson yards to Little Island, an extraordinary yet calm walkway above the streets. And offer a serene and calm experience. Would highly recommend.

This might be the best urban park that I've ever visited! What a great way to meander through the Chelsea neighbourhood with some elevated views of New York City. I imagine it can get extremely busy on a nice day, but its certainly work checking out if you're in the area. Lots of little pockets of space if you want some privacy from all the folks out for a walk.

Roosevelt Park offers a variety of sports facilities, walking trails, fishing opportunities, an ice skating rink and outdoor theater. The park features a flat loop around the lake for running and hilly paths in shady areas for more challenging walks. However, erosion has led to more dirt than grass in some parts of the park while tree damage necessitates annual tree cutting. Still, the park remains a great outdoor resource for Middlesex county residents seeking walking or picnicking spots.
This is the place that will make your day! Nice walking trails with benches around. Ski area during the winter months and multiple park zones so you can visit each zone on a different visit. The lake in the middle is just so calm and relaxed that it’s a pleasure coming here. Bathrooms and kids play area on site. Plenty of parking

This is a really beautiful park. I forgot about those days when i was a kid there was so much to do at the park. I didnt fully get to explore the park 100% but i will say that just walking around was good enough for me, seeing all the animals enjoying themselves with humans around shows they do not care and do them. Basketball, tennis, bike riding, fishing, exercising etc it was really beautiful especially with a gorgeous sunset. Its really cool that there is a mall right across from it. Whenever I go to the mall I come here

If you are on Roosevelt Island, I would definitely recommend a nice walk along the river to the end of the island to get some absolutely beautiful photos of the landscape. I wish I had more time to explore and relax in the park and watch the boats go by. It was a cold, snowy morning when I took a walk down to the park. It was absolutely breathtaking. There is so much to look at from all sides of the island. I would love to come back during the warmer months and take advantage of all the sitting areas and just take in all the beautiful views. There is an old hospital within the park with lots of interesting history, take a moment to read about it. It is very interesting and one of the reasons I wanted to explore this park. I love history and reading the stories and learning about the architecture of the buildings. It is pretty fascinating. I will definitely be back when I can spend more time exploring and relaxing while taking in all the gorgeous views.

Small museum focusing on Edison’s time in Menlo Park and the inventions developed there. (Phonograph, incandescent light bulb and telephone transmitter) The tower is situated where his desk was, no historic buildings remain. Very informative but you also need to visit his home in West Orange for later works. The laboratory is preserved at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI for the workshop. The park nearby was very shady and was a nice cool short walk on a summer day.

Westfield Garden State Plaza is a massive shopping destination in Paramus, New Jersey, offering over 2 million sq ft of space and 400 stores. It's conveniently located just 12.5 miles from Manhattan, making it a popular spot for avid shoppers. The mall features a wide range of stores including high-end retailers like Nordstrom and Apple, as well as popular favorites such as H&M and Macy's.
It's a charming shopping destination, but I find myself there only once in a blue moon, typically on weekends or when I happen to drive through the area. The vibrant atmosphere of the food court never fails to entice me, with the tempting aromas wafting through the air, drawing me in and making it hard to resist sampling the delightful offerings.

I used to love shopping in here but now it's seems over rated, the place feels like getto, the outside near food court is so dirty and smell Like marijuana, food court table is dirty and sticky, the cleaner pass by our dirty used table 2x and I got to call her and ask to clean the table I was shocked on her behavior ignoring all dirty tables around her, went Wednesday and it's not busy at all I get to shop peacefully although weekends on this place is chaotic and you will see security everywhere, the bathroom is dirty and not well maintained I don't see any staff cleaning on both restroom area. I tried to avoid coming on weekends, the traffic around in this place is unbelievable specially on the rush hour.

I feel like garden state mall is fading away. American dream is good example on how to attract people by having pop-up events. Having famous artists or amateurs perform. Garden state has nothing new to make people come back every week.

This mall is the largest in Bergen County and very close to NYC via route 4 and 17. There are many stores to pretty much meet your shopping needs, whatever they might be. I personally dislike malls, but this does deserve a five star rating. Parking is abundant and free. Although, during peak hours, can feel like a horror movie, if your looking for a quick run to a specific store and looking to park close to that store.

Great mall. Has a huge variation of stores and restaurants. It also is very aesthetically pleasing, with its lights and design. The food court could definitely have more foods to choose from, but who's to complain. The art designs placed throughout the mall are also a nice touch.

There are few great malls in new jersey and garden state Plaza is one of Tham, upscale stores that you won't find in any mall, and stores that are in any other mall are much nicer in layout and merchandise, the food court is amazing, the layout is so much different from any other food court in any mall I've been, the food selection is excellent I'll give it five stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

This was once the best shopping mall in NJ. Today,if you are over 30 yes old,you won't find much here of interest. Huge 'play centers" for kids have taken the place of large amounts of retail space. Numerous stores selling g sneakers, athleasuerwear, drones, cheap jewelry promoted online "influencers' Very few stores selling traditional clothing. Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus clothing and footwear offeringsfor.men are totally focusing the young urban customer. Macys is the only store left with good variety and something for almost everyone. Clearly, this mall is targeting the urban youth consumer and has.pretty much.discarded the older legacy consumer. Really very sad. If you want real shopping with real stores and not 20 sneaker stores and playgrounds for "kiddies',try Short Hills Mall or Riverside Mall

Sights & Landmarks
Nassau Hall is a historic edifice erected in 1756 that boasts a memorial atrium as well as a faculty room for school administrators. It was the site of an intense skirmish between British regulars and the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, with Alexander Hamilton's artillery crew said to have fired on it and beheaded a statue of King George. This landmark structure has been beautifully preserved over time, with ivy adorning its outer walls.
I can not express or share enough pictures to explain how beautiful this building is and the tigers. It college campus is just gorgeous. If you are in New Jersey, definitely stop thru Princeton and walk the campus and the town. It is just absolutely breathtaking. The history and architecture are remarkable.

It’s pretty. The outside lawn is a great spot for walks. People bring their dogs and it’s a fun vibe. It’s also a nice place to sit for a picnic.
Angela — Google review
Nassau Hall is the oldest and most historically significant building at Princeton University. Completed in 1756, it was originally the sole building of the College of New Jersey, housing everything from classrooms and a library to student and faculty residences. Its strategic location made it a key site during the American Revolutionary War, where it was occupied by both British and American troops. A defining moment in its history was the Battle of Princeton in 1777, during which General George Washington's forces captured the building, securing a crucial victory. For a brief period in 1783, it even served as the provisional U.S. Capitol, where the Continental Congress convened. Despite being ravaged by two fires in the 19th century, which destroyed its interiors, the original stone walls of Nassau Hall have endured. Today, it stands as a symbol of the university and a testament to its long history, serving as the administrative center for Princeton University, including the offices of the president. Recognized as a National Historic Landmark, Nassau Hall represents a fusion of academic tradition and national history, its storied past deeply intertwined with the founding and development of both Princeton and the United States.

Although the park doesn't offer hiking trails, it's a must-visit for those seeking quick but breathtaking sights. The footbridge provides an excellent vantage point to witness the power of the falls.
Peterson Falls is a really beautiful place and worth visiting! The waterfall looks amazing, especially when you see it from both sides: 💦from the main entrance (there is a small parking area and an easy forest path) 💦and from the other side – near the park, closer to the river. The walk is short and not difficult. The views are really special. Fresh air, the sound of water, and a calm, peaceful feeling – it’s a perfect spot for a little trip and a break from everyday life 🌿💧 Also, don’t miss the Hamilton monument and the charming little clock near the falls – they are really lovely details and make the place even more special! 🕰️🪻

This is an awesome place and I never thought there would be a waterfall in the middle of the city. It has a long history and is a beautiful location where people of all ages can go and enjoy themselves. The waterfall is truly a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape from urban life. The sound of cascading water creates a tranquil atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation and reflection. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to unwind, a scenic location for photography, or simply want to experience a piece of natural beauty within the city limits, Peterson Waterfall delivers. The accessibility makes it suitable for visitors of all ages - from young families with children to seniors who want to enjoy nature without venturing far from the city. The walking paths are well-maintained, and there are several vantage points to view and appreciate the waterfall from different angles. I highly recommend visiting Peterson Waterfall to anyone looking for a unique urban nature experience. It’s a reminder that natural beauty can be found in the most unexpected places, right in our own backyard.

Beautiful and powerful waterfall! The Paterson Great Falls is truly a hidden gem with stunning views and rich history. The sound of the rushing water and the sight of the falls is breathtaking — a must-visit if you are in New Jersey. The overlook gives a great view, but we wished more areas were open to walk around during our visit. Parking could definitely be improved, as the facility is quite limited. Still, the natural beauty of the falls makes the trip worthwhile, and I’d love to come back again when more access is available.

What a great little park. Currently getting a lot of work done on it. Not much hiking due to bridge being out but you can see the falls from the overlook. Parking lot is small so I assume it fills up fast on a weekend. No cost to enter. Go around the other side for a different view. Some street parking on other side

This was my first time visiting this place and it was absolutely amazing. The only thing that made it a little tough was the construction going on, so be careful when walking. What made the visit even cooler was the Labor Day weekend festival, which was so eventful. It had music, vendors, food, and overall the experience was very fun.

A beautiful and powerful hidden gem! Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park is an incredible spot that combines natural beauty with rich history. The falls themselves are breathtaking, powerful, and dramatic. The sound and energy of the water are mesmerizing, and there are several great viewing spots where you can take in the scenery from different angles. The park is also steeped in history, playing a major role in America's early industrial development. There are informative signs and exhibits that tell the story of Alexander Hamilton’s vision for Paterson as the first planned industrial city in the U.S., which adds a fascinating educational layer to your visit. It’s a perfect place for a peaceful walk, photography, or simply to unwind and enjoy nature. The surrounding area has been improving steadily, and you can explore some nice nearby spots and local food afterward. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quick escape into nature and history right in New Jersey!
Faryal C — Google review
The falls were beautiful! The surrounding neighborhood isn’t the safest looking but the falls were very beautiful! The parking lot isn’t very big though so just a warning but the national park people were friendly and it was cool to read about the history of the falls on the pamphlet the parks service gave me.
Julia B — Google review
Visited Paterson Great Falls for about 20-30 minutes before sunset, drawn by its historical significance but hesitant due to negative reviews and Paterson’s rough reputation. The falls are impressive—77 feet tall, powerful, and misty, with a nice view from Overlook Park. The roar of the water was a brief escape from the urban surroundings. However, the place could be better. Litter along the paths and a slightly off-putting smell near the water detracted from the experience. The city’s rundown vibe—crumbling buildings and a sketchy feel—doesn’t help, making it hard to fully enjoy the natural beauty. Parking was tricky, and the area felt like it needed more upkeep. Worth a quick stop for the falls, but don’t expect a pristine park. Visit during daylight, stick to main viewpoints, and manage expectations for the urban setting.

This is such a great place for kids of all ages to enjoy and play! And also extremely interactive for parents to play with their kids. Very organized and so much to do. Loved the painting section, grocery store section, table sections with toys. I think the little doctor section was missing a lot of the toys to play there. I also really like that almost every weekend they have a character come visit. They also have a cafe to order food and drinks which is convenient! Will be back soon again with my family
Aileen M — Google review
I came here with my 4, 3, & 1 year old and had a blast! The exhibits & play structures are perfect for all ages. It's fully interactive and incorporates STEM-based play which I love. You can really spend the whole day here. They even have character appearances and we saw Peppa Pig while we were there. The food was SO GOOD! Coffee for us parents and a full inclusive menu offering gluten-free, vegan, & vegetarian options plus kid favorites like pizza, nuggets, fries, etc. We had the salmon burger, falafel platter, vegan pizza, and for the kids- mac n cheese, nuggets, & fries. Everything was amazing and fueled us up to keep on playing. Looks like a great place for a birthday party too. Highly recommend for a family day, play date, or celebration.
Vanessa T — Google review
I would definitely recommend this place for children 3 to 10 years old. There are things that younger children can do too but it's geared more towards kids who can independently play. Lots of physical and pretend things for kids to do as well as crafts and mental stimulation. It is climate controlled and they offer food and refreshments. Also they have party spaces available to rent. There is seating for adults in all of the areas so you can watch your children as they have fun. Prices for entry are reasonable. Definitely worth the trip.
Kenith C — Google review
We hosted a fourth birthday party here and it was great! Party planning was a breeze, and everything was handled for us when we got there, which made the whole thing easy & stress-free. The kids all had a great time, and most importantly the birthday girl was beaming all day. There are a ton of different play options so there was something there for everyone. I’d highly recommend it for that age range. We’ll definitely be coming back, it’s a perfect activity for a rainy or cold day.

We had an excellent experience hosting a party at Imagine That this past weekend. I host a once annual family gathering for all 3 of my kids at once in a middle location for some spread-out family, so its not really a "kids party" as we have more adults than kids, but just sitting at a restaurant isnt really an enjoyable experience. Enter Imagine That! They were more than accommodating to our group, were able to suggest a less busy day where they'd probably be able to give us the party room for a longer window, and have actually amazing real legitimate food. I found the pricing to be very reasonable, especially since they dont limit your open play to just the hours of the party. They have everything very well organized and truly do take care of all aspects (i.e. karisa suggested we pull out the cake table and stand behind for her to grab a family photo from my phone, they have wheeling bins for presents you can just bring to your car in one trip, they make a cute loudspeaker announcement when its food/cake time so your kid feels like royalty, they offer to box up any leftover food for you to take home, etc.) Karisa was super easy to work with and is just a good personality for leading the birthday song and such. Truly an easy, great, enjoyable way to host a party, even if you have kind of a weird goal like a bunch of adults and 3 birthday kids at once!

Wow! It was a rainy day and a hay ride was out of the question. Imagine That was the perfect place. We spent the whole day there. The kids had a blast and mom and me (GaGa) could spend well needed time catching up. The kids, 2 & 4, ate their first veggie burger and gave it a thumbs up 👍.

We celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday party here. And it was amazing from start to finish. There are lot of activities for kids and we also had a magic show which was enjoyed by kids and adults. Karisa and Rob were great. Food was also amazing. They have lot of options to choose from. Will highly recommend this place for birthday parties or for spending a day with your children.

Cannot beat the price to see a movie nowadays. It was $9 for one ticket to a new movie. The atmosphere was very vintage as you watched a new movie in a longstanding theater. Your surroundings included multiple balconies, an organ, and beautiful architecture work. Plus, it must be a hidden gem since there were so many available seats.

The best. A piece of Rockland county history. Authentic. Gorgeous. Not too many theaters like this left. Excited for the future of it and a whole new post-pandemic life hosting all kinds of events that benefit the town and the residents. It is an old building with nostalgia. The arboretum boasts a picturesque Colonial Revival mansion surrounded by well-maintained gardens featuring native and exotic plants, spring-blooming shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, fall fruit and foliage, and shade trees.
A truly delightful park – beautifully maintained and incredibly spacious. The grounds are immaculate, the house is charming, and the flower garden is simply magnificent. 1. Walkability – A wonderful place for a peaceful walk. The trails and paths are well laid out and surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens. 2. Photography – If you love nature photography, this is a must-visit! So many picturesque spots with flowers, textures, and serene corners. 3. Maintenance – The arboretum is well-maintained, clean, and clearly cared for. The gardens are lovely and inviting. 4. Parking – There is parking available, which makes access very convenient. 5. Hours – My only issue was that I arrived around 9:00 AM (as listed on Google), but the main gate was closed. I had to leave and return around 10:00 AM when it was open. It would be helpful if the hours were clearer or updated online. Overall: A beautiful, calming space perfect for walks, photos, and a quiet moment with nature. I’ll definitely return!

The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is an absolute gem—a beautifully maintained oasis that feels like a living work of art. The grounds are impeccable, with thoughtfully laid-out paths leading to vibrant flower beds, perfectly pruned roses, and serene woodland corners. It blends elegance and natural beauty so well, from the stately historic mansion to the scenic lawns and winding trails. Whether you’re a gardener, photographer, or just looking for a peaceful escape, it’s truly exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone who loves beautiful, well-kept gardens.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum today! We tried the scavenger hunt and it was such a fun way to explore the park while also learning about the different plants and vegetation. It made the visit interactive for all of us, and we’re already looking forward to coming back and doing it on a monthly basis. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained! It's the perfect place to stroll, relax, and enjoy nature. Next time, we’re planning to bring a picnic and spend even more time soaking it all in. Such a gem in our community!

Went here last year during summer morning and was amazing, there was a lot of birds chirping and squirrels. It was fun to see the little fairy houses built there. Morristown National Historical Park

Nature & Parks
Morristown National Historical Park, located in Morristown, is a significant site from the American Revolutionary War. It covers 1,200 acres and was home to over 12,000 members of the Continental Army during the harsh winter of 1779-80. The park features historical sites such as Jockey Hollow where George Washington and his troops endured the coldest winter on record.
Morristown National Historical Park is a unique and terrific historic park located in Morristown, NJ. The park consists of four different sites including: Jockey Hollow, Fort Nonsense, the Ford Mansion, and Washington’s Headquarters Museum. If you’re planning to see all of the sites of the park, come prepared to drive to them and also plan your trip to be a few hours. It is best to start with the Washington’s Headquarters Museum in the park. Here there is a nice movie presented about the importance of Morristown during the Revolutionary War. Thousands of artifacts are on display in the museum. Some of the best include George Washington’s inaugural sword, rare books from the Colonial area, a harpsichord, Revolutionary War military wares, and objects from everyday life in the eighteenth century. The rangers at the museum are helpful and willing to answer any question. Near the museum is the Ford Mansion. The Ford Mansion is a must see as it is where George Washington stayed while at Morristown. Tickets are given at the museum on a first come, first serve basis. Fort Nonsense provides an excellent view of the city of Morristown. Here the outline of a fort that was built on the orders of George Washington can be seen. It also provides a nice place to picnic or take a short hike. At Jockey Hollow you can see the re-creations of the Continental Army’s campsite. There are several exhibits here about camp life and the different units that made up the Continental Army. This is also a great place to take a walk. The park offers a lot to do even if you’re not a fan of history. The exhibits in the museum are presented in a lively and engaging way. Though it may not be as well known as other Revolutionary War historical parks, Morristown presents a great park for everyone to see!

This is an awesome historical park to visit in Morristown! There are three main areas you can explore, each offering different experiences. I started at the museum, which is physically in Morristown. The museum has detailed exhibits on Washington and his troops’ experiences while staying in the area. The exhibits are well done, and there are maps available. I then went to Fort Nonsense, which is not far from the museum, where I got to read a number of historical plaques and look toward NYC at an overlook. On a clear day, you can see the tops of some of the tallest towers in NYC, including the Freedom Tower. To end my trip, I went out to Jockey Hollow. There are many hiking trails and historical markers at Jockey Hollow. I saw some preserved soldier huts and the Wick Farmhouse. I toured the Wick House on a guided tour with a ranger for free. I would love to go back and hike in this area! Overall, great park!

Very informative. We loved walking around and looking at all the artifacts and replicas. The 15 minute video was informative. We did do the tour of the mansion. Tickets are free but the tour is only at certain times. The tour guide was excellent. He spoke loud enough to be heard by the entire group and waited until the group was all together before continuing with the discussions. Really enjoyed it.

We were passing through on the 4th of July on a road trip and we stumbled upon this wonderful historical site. The Ford house was also open (where Washington actually lived) and we were able to tour it, as well. Because it was the 4th, there was a reenactment, reading of the Declaration of Independence, and musket firing. What a delight!

An awesome destination to visit for history and NPS lovers! Seeing the museum with some of George Washington's personal belongings was amazing. The grounds are also fun to explore and walkthrough. There was a fair amount of construction going on when I visited so be aware. I also drove through the Jockey Hollow area and it was a very peaceful place to go for a walk.
George F — Google review
The Visitor Center, Ford Mansion and Jockey Jollow- where Washington and his troops spent a horrible winter, better than Valley Forge-- are fascinating pieces of American history. The museum is both informative and interactive, whether you're an adult or a child. Small kidsight find the Ford Mansion, where Washington headquartered, a bit dull. We drove through Jockey Hollow on the history trail, but there are also hiking trails. The walk to the recreated soldiers' huts but is steep and on dirt and gravel, not handicapped accessible. A great way to spend the day, especially with the country's 250th birthday coming up in 2026.

Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen is a unique dining destination located within the historic Vail Mansion in downtown Morristown. This elegant restaurant offers four distinct experiences, including the Vail Bar, a sophisticated space that was once the library, and the Dining Room, which exudes formal charm. The Oyster Bar provides a lively atmosphere with its selection of raw bar small plates and farm-to-table entrees.
Highly recommended! No doubt the best bar/restaurant in downtown Morristown. Come here instead of 1776 please!! because 1776 is trash compared to Jockey Hollow!!. JH Ambiance 👍🏽👍🏽. History is cool. Bar and restaurant are pretty awesome. Service was superb! Jason (our bartender) was great! Made me a perfect Old Fashioned and he even toured us to the other bar of the restaurant. That’s service! We had oysters and they were on point! I will come back here to check out the restaurant. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Great food, great service but if you're looking for a quieter atmosphere, this is not the place. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance is great if you're looking for the bar scene. If you're looking to enjoy your meal without people standing around you then this is not your place. The food was amazing and the drinks were to die for! Kudos to the chef, our waiter and the bartender.

The Washington Room is always the best experience. The staff were amazing and made it feel very welcoming from the moment we sat down to the moment we left. Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen is a must try. The interior and exterior architecture is beautiful. We sat at the Vail Bar for Happy Hour for 1/2 price glasses of wine and draft beer. The wine selection is excellent and the beer choices adequate. The $2 oysters were super fresh. The hummus with Calabrian peppers and double smash burger w/fries were delicious. The service was impeccable thanks to our bartenders Taylor and Gabriel.

Disappointing experience second time as well. We reserved to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food and service has become mediocre sadly. All server staff needs lots of training. We requested to clean our table as something was spilled after the appetizer round and the lady ignored nodded and walked away. Then again asked the server and he decided to clean. The server were new not experienced to serve at a fine dinning restaurant more better suited if they work around at a taco joint. I ordered a whole branzino fish - which was served head taken off, medium to small whole fish by itself on top of two soggy egg plant slices full of seeds. They don’t go well - soggy eggplant with fish. No other sides at all - the sever didn’t suggest that we should order a side of anything as the fish literally comes by it self with some sauce and topped with little green on it, you are eating oily grilled fish without any spice by itself - where is the chef’s creativity!? Why didn’t the server mention to order sides that can go with it. My son ordered a pasta - you see the picture below pasta was watery!! With pieces of octopus floating in the pasta. How can you make and serve watery sauce pasta with more white beans and less pasta - truly unimpressed. Apparently, the chicken was made good no complains other than the sever making a fuss about replacing broccoli raab with quinoa, a simple small request by guests spending over $500 in food and wine was accommodated after a long discussion, thankfully. (This was mentioned in the allergy section by us saying no pork no broccoli raab) Appetizers were excellent. Try the salads, octopus and oysters all three were excellent!! Dessert cheesecake and chocolate cake were okay as they should be. Nothing special.

Our server, Ryan, was great! He went out of his way to tell us the specials and show us what they look like before we ordered. He was very attentive and answered all our questions.

We came for Valentine's Dinner. We waited 30 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink, another 30 for our appetizers, and another 30 for our entrees. Our waiter was uninformed about the menu, barely said a word to us, and never once asked us if we wanted another drink or how everything was. Twice the waiters tried to bring us dessert when we hadn't received our main course yet. We were never asked if we wanted coffee or another beverage with or after dessert. The food was absolutely delicious, but we ordered the $38 duck supplement for two, which was mislabeled as a supplement when it was a replacement for the entrees, which the waiter was unaware of. We paid $38 extra to replace our entrees with one that was not nearly large enough for two people. It was, however, delicious. Whenever we've come in the past, we have always had a great time. It is an absolute travesty that on a special night like valentine's night, everything fell apart. We paid nearly $150 per head after "supplements" and cocktails, and I would be disappointed at the experience for 1/3rd that price. I would never come back for a special occasion, which is a shame because of how much we love the restaurant on a normal night out. The only reason I'm giving an overall three stars instead of two is because our previous experiences at the restaurant have been much better, and the food was quite good even if it took us forever to receive it and it wasn't quite what we were expecting based on the menu and our waiter's clear lack of awareness of what he was serving.

Beautiful Place to visit, To walk, hike or just enjoy the beautiful scenery all around. No fee or entering and zero parking fee. Everything here is free. Enjoy walking down the paths already set out. Or enjoy the trails in the woods or in the flower fields. So much to see and explore. From the Japanese garden to the beautiful botanical garden.. Some trails go deep in the woods where you will find many ponds / streams for frog watching and lizards. They have so much Koi fish that are full grown - from baby Koi and so many tadpoles. It was so stunning to see the lily pads in the pond and seeing the beautiful flowers illuminating from the garden of lily pads. The Botanical Garden is Absolutely stunning and beautiful in so many ways.. Much to visit. Bring you own food . Grab a blanket and enjoy a nice relaxing picnic with your loved ones. Or solo.. I love sitting by nature and enjoying my own company. Most times when I sit I get great clarity and I see things from another perspective.. —-Sometimes we need to stop our busy lives, sit down, relax and just be. Our inner souls need to pause. For me it’s worth the time and effort to be at one with self. Have a beautiful Day!! Remember to take time for your self . Read a great book. Look at nature. Enjoy each and every moment you have here on earth!! Life is too short. So enjoy each and every moment you can!!

My husband and I, along with our fur baby, visited the New Jersey Botanical Garden in Ringwood last Sunday to explore the state park and it did not disappoint! The scenery was beautiful, especially with the fall season beginning and the trees showing their vibrant colors. We spent almost 4 hours walking around, enjoying every bit of nature, and taking breaks in between to relax. We’ll definitely be coming back since we didn’t get to explore the other side of the garden yet, and we also plan to visit the nearby Shepherd Lake Recreation Area next time. It’s absolutely worth the 40-minute drive from our place!

It truly is a magical place as we wandered from area to area. I love the little things that you stumble up and the attention to detail such as the person just sitting in the middle of the woods (pictured). I would say it is a little expensive depending on what you are looking to get, but it is by far worth it especially if you enjoy medieval things, jousting, and giant turkey legs.

Pretty awesome place. Went on the last day, and it was packed, if your in costume, I recommend preparing for a hike across the parking lot. Once inside though it feels like you walked through q portal, from mead to blacksmiths, leather workers, glass blowing hairbraiding, and whip artists. They have it all. Walked around from 12 to 6 and still don't feel like I saw everything. Lots of cool vendors and lots of Amazon scamers, and definitely pay attention to what you're buying and from who. There were a bunch of small businesses that were worth supporting. I had an amazing day with my boyfriend and definitely plan on coming back. A day well spent 💖 may your voyage be just as magical♡ if your thinking about going do it !

I'm an avid ren faire goer, and the NY faire is great. The bus from NYC is very convenient. Lots of wonderful performers, the joust is super fun, and of course a million cool vendors. Lots of games too, and not too pricey, we did knife throwing and archery both for under ten bucks. The food is good. Everything is a little pricey but that's to be expected at this kind of thing. It's best to get there early - the shows get CRAZY full in the afternoon. We arrived at noon and watched the joust, did games, and watched performances all with little to no line, no struggle finding seating, etc. Later on as we passed back through those areas the lines were super long and the performances were packed, so we were glad we did those things earlier in the day. They have porta potties all over but TBH, theyre pretty disgusting. There is one regular restroom, and the line gets long but its kept clean and IMO its worth it to just go use that one lol.

A magical place that transports you to the Renaissance era! 🎭 People in costumes, free interesting shows all day, delicious food, and great souvenirs at fair prices. Perfect for families to enjoy a whole day. ✨ Tip: wear comfy shoes and, if you can, go in costume—it makes it even more fun! Check their website, they have different activities every weekend!!! ✌️

Unique experience in upstate New York. People dress up and enjoy a medieval town. Lots of vendors, fair food and actors around the grounds. Would recommend the pub crawl. We did a vlog on YouTube leave the resort of our experience here Cheers. PS parking is a little bit of a pain as it’s like one road going in. (Pro tip- stay in left lane - it enters into the fair grounds too)

This was my first visit to a ren faire ever, and the NY fair seems like as good a place as any for a first timer. The location has a nice forest vibe despite being only an hour from NYC. The layout is easy to navigate, a mixture of paved paths, dirt trails and a few footbridge. Some of the performance areas are set into the treeline so there's some steep areas. It can be hard to get a seat down in front in flat areas for the popular shows. Hopefully there is an ADA program to assist when needed. There are some permanent bathrooms with plumbing both at the entrance and inside, and the rest of the grounds has portos in many convenient locations. So what does one do at the faire? Shopping, eating, taking in performances and demos. We especially enjoyed Tiny Girl Big Show and the whip talents of Aaron Bonk. I wasn't familiar with the Pass the Hat tip solicitations at the end of each performance, so if you are in a position to tip, bring some $5s $10s & $20s (yes they specifically ask for these amounts). The largest performances are jousting and human chess. The shopping areas were hit or miss for me. Some of the merchants have reasonable pricing or at least a range of price points to shop at. Others are extremely high end - our friends spent well over $1000 at one leather shop alone. Just mentioning this so it's not a surprise to anyone shopping with a smaller purse. I like to buy gifts at events like this and I shop in a price range of $10-40 per item. In this range, I found handmade candles, small metal sculptures and ceramic sculptures, perfume oils and interesting feathers. There was a mix of handmade and import items in the clothing stores in particular, and it could be hard to tell one from the other. My only disappointment in the fair was the FOOD. I was hoping for more old fashioned menus with foods of the times. The majority of menus were popular modern or ethnic foods like smoothies, chicken nuggets, fajitas, nachos, pierogi. There was a bakery near the entrance that had a beautiful selection of pastries. The classic turkey legs didn't appeal because frankly the meat looked too pink for my taste and I didn't want to risk sickness. I'd say the most compelling lack was vegan or gluten free items. If I'd brought my vegan friend, she would have had no food choices besides a lettuce salad, pickles and a blooming onion :/ Overall I had a wonderful day and really loved taking in everyone's fun dress-up and all the peaceful happy vibes. I would definitely return but I would hope to see improvement in the food court.

We stepped back in time today at the New York Renaissance Faire on its final day — and what a perfect day it was! The sun was shining, the energy was magical, and it truly felt like entering another world. From knights and jesters to fairies and royalty, the costumes were absolutely incredible — people went all out, and it showed. The performances were top-notch, with laughter, sword fights, joust and music around every corner. A perfect way to kick off the Halloween season with some old-world charm! Until next year, Huzzah!

Really enjoyed event. Got there from the NYC by coach bus, very comfortable and fast. You feel like you are in medieval village. People dressed up in old costumes, performances and outlets like that time as well. I do recommend to go there and have fun.

Museum Village of Old Smith's Clove Monroe

History museum
Sights & Landmarks
Replica village exploring daily life in the 19th century through historical dress & reenactments.
This is an incredible hidden gem of a Wedding Venue. Everyone we talked to was surprised to hear this was our choice, but it was the most beautiful day. The staff was so accommodating and excited to be a part of our day. The Snack Bar is a perfect spot for an indoor ceremony and reception up to about 75 people, with plenty of outdoor space for tables and a tent. The staff also gave us access to the buildings for some stunning couple portraits before the ceremony. It was an incredibly beautiful day, and the staff made it so easy to set up, clean up, and just have a fun time.

The museum, located on the outskirts of the Village of Monroe, offers a unique experience. It provides a glimpse into the Smith family's legacy, who once held significant land ownership in this region. The museum's architecture is designed to resemble a Hudson Valley village from 200 to 300 years ago. Notable structures within the museum's grounds include a firehouse, schoolhouse, and apothecary. A well-stocked gift shop is available, offering a diverse selection of merchandise.
Avrumi G — Google review
The staff's warm hospitality was truly remarkable. We chose a less crowded time for our visit, and one of the staff members, a kind lady, went above and beyond to share information about the museum and even played checkers with our son. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Nice place to walk around and check out some neat stuff as well as having a really nice mastodon skeleton

Went on Saturday morning. There was one other couple visiting. More like a ghost town. Several buildings locked up. No demonstrations at all. There were 2 guides in one building that offered to show up around, but by hem we had walked 90% of the way around. No one in character, no demos, things seem to be falling into disarray.
Steven E — Google review
One of the best living history locations in the tri state area. The depth of knowledge among the volunteers, and the busy historical and cultural event schedule they maintain makes it easy to see why Museum Village has been around as long as it has. A must day trip for school groups as well as the general public. I've been going here for 50 years and have not intention of stopping.

I am writing this from the perspective of someone who has limited mobility and uses a scooter and a walker to get around. Also, this was not a typical day. We showed up to a car show going on and many of the buildings that we read so many wonderful things about were closed. That being said, it seems like it would be a nice place to visit when the focus is the property and interpretations of the things in the village. However, we circled the village twice and there were only two buildings that I could access, without steps so I could use my scooter. It’s a shame because the village itself is really nice and easy for me to navigate with my scooter. If they just made a little extra effort for the entry of the buildings, those of us with mobility issues could enjoy what they have to offer. The one set of bathrooms that they had were easy to get to. There were no larger stalls that would accommodate a wheel chair or scooter. The one stall on the end did have a bar attached to the wall but that’s it as far accessibility goes. The website said they have a snack bar which we could not find. They did have two food trucks there, I guess because of the car show. There was a barn with picnic tables in it and on the ends it looked like what could have been a snack bar, but nothing was open. It was nice to see a large location where you could have a picnic lunch.

My wife took our youngest daughter and her friend today and was totally let down by the whole experience. My wife had very fond memories of going when she was in school and there being demonstrations being done in all the buildings of things like candle making, blacksmithing and such. But today there were no individuals working and not a single demonstration being held. A great disappointment for all

Mountain Creek Resort is a year-round destination nestled in the Kittatinny Mountains of New Jersey. In the winter, it offers skiing, snowboarding with a half-pipe, and snow tubing. During the summer, visitors can enjoy extreme mountain biking at Mountain Creek Bike Park and make a splash at the 39-acre water park. The resort also provides luxurious accommodations at The Appalachian Hotel and Black Creek Sanctuary.
We did the ziplining tour and bought the unlimited sky ride and mountain coaster during the fall season. Heather and Indi with the ziplining was wonderful. They were patient and kind. They guided us with knowledge. I am petite in size so they gave me extra advice. Thank you ladies. The mountain coaster was 1 mile long and it was fun. You control your speed. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the Mountain Creek chairlift team. On September 13, while photographing a wedding, I accidentally left my camera at the top of the mountain. The lift was scheduled to close at 6:00 PM, but the staff kindly stayed with me and waited until the last team member at the summit located my camera and brought it down. I’m deeply grateful for their patience, professionalism, and kindness. Thank you so much!

I’m really disappointed with Mountain Creek’s lift ride operation. They closed the line 30 minutes before the posted closing time, saying the line was already too long — yet they were still selling tickets just minutes before closing the line! That’s completely unfair and misleading. It feels like they just care about making sales, not about giving guests the experience they paid for. The staff didn’t communicate properly, didn’t apologize, and didn’t offer any options for people who bought tickets but couldn’t even line up. If they know the line gets long, they should stop selling tickets earlier or use time slots to manage the crowd properly — not punish guests who show up on time. It's not our problem that everyone wants to ride during sunset. That should be a management problem!! This was very disappointing and showed how poor the customer service and organization really are. Never again! Waste of money!

We went to Mountain Creek for the fall fest. The event was packed the weather was perfect and the ride up the lift was great. It was cool watching the mountain biking on the trail from the lift. The only issue i had was the food and drink situation. They did the best they could, but clearly not prepared for the mass of people that came. Luckily the burger was delicious and saved the afternoon. Overall happy, good atmosphere, food, games, music and friendly staff.

Great bike park! Employees were pleasant and helpful. Prices were reasonable. The lift took a couple tries to perfect loading the bikes but after that it was easy. We visited during Octoberfest and it was good and bad. Very busy, but lots of entertainment and food options. The trails ranged from mild to wild. I liked that there were technical trails as well as flow. The trails were a little washed out but not too bad considering it was the end of the season. Overall it was a great experience and we plan on returning!

Came here November 2nd for the 3rd annual fall fest weekend. I got the sky ride ticket for $16.78. I really wanted to try the adventure package but it was already sold out by the time I got ready to purchase. In my honest opinion the Fall Fest is NOT WORTH IT! Especially if it would be quite a drive for you. The drive for me was about 1 hour and 30 minutes and I don’t think the experience was worth the drive. I honestly feel like the IG reels and TikTok videos I’ve seen of the Fall fest overhyped it and made it look better than it really was. In my opinion it was hectic because there were bikers all over the place which is fair because the fall fest and the bike trail is a shared space. I think they should have called this BIKER FEST you literally have to watch out because the bikers just zoom by. I did get to go on the sky ride which was nice and the scenery was beautiful. But, was it worth coming to the fall fest and purchasing a ticket just to do that…… NO. If you are looking for a Fall experience/farm experience in Vernon, NJ I recommend Heaven Hill Farm which is literally 9 minutes from mountain creek. Now that gave me the vibe I was looking for. I didn’t get to explore it fully because it was close to closing time but I did check out their Farmers Market and their cider donuts were tasty. Anyways, maybe I will be back to mountain creek but probably not for their Fall Fest. I will say that the staff at mountain creek were friendly, I got some cool photos, and I got to spend time with family and friends so that is a plus.

Here already for fall fest and its overly crowded. No one working so it’s unclear if parking is paid/unpaid. Food vendor area is disorganized. Not clear what each line is for (1 for ordering, 1 for pickup, but no rhyme or rhtym to tell you when your order is ready). Took an hour to get our food alone. Do not waste your money on this. Did not go on gondola or coaster due to long lines (1 hour at least). Not a good experience and am requesting a refund. If I’m driving 2 hours from NYC for foliage, better to go upstate to the Catskills than this overhyped crapshow Also, while we were prepared for bugs and nature, we did not anticipate the insane amount of yellow jackets near the food area Update 24 hours after emailing them (and before they responded below): Got a general message they’re looking into it. To be clear, this was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. We did not even have enough time to redeem the tickets we bought due to the long lines. Sadly, I do not have confidence they’ll make it right and strongly feel this place is a cash grab. We do not plan to ever come back and encourage others to avoid. Go over to warwick, ny and go apple picking, or just go up to The Catskills Update 3 days later: After a bit of pushing via email, we got a long empathetic apology from the owner who refunded us. His leadership was greatly appreciated, and hopefully the resort takes the right steps to fix this. Owner invited us back and offered some perks upon our return, but we likely will not come back given the lines issue seems to be an ongoing issue. We hope the resort will improve over time.

For boarding- if you get the lowest access pass. You have to walk a long distance with your gear. But worth the day pass and season as you get to ride on two mountains. Go on T,W,Thursday to skip crowd. The location is good had Taco Bell and local bean cafe if you want to skip out on $20 food in the lodge

Mountain Creek Water Park in Vernon offers a refreshing escape on hot summer days with its variety of attractions, including over 20 slides and activities suitable for all ages. Visitors can enjoy white-water rafting, tubing on simulated rapids, a lazy river, wave pool, and a kiddie area. While some pathways are challenging to navigate due to gravel surfaces and the park's hilly terrain, guests appreciate the short lines and friendly staff.
Beautiful place very informative staff walking around with health packs if you need. Clean and fun environment. My family had a blast with the view of mountains and the mini hiking experience you have is truly memorable. It was my first time but if you travel with stroller I would get a carrier because the walking up and down hills are fun yet challenging. Overall we had a blast everyone in the family was able to have fun. Surprisingly I didn't get boy or my kids so I'm guessing low on mosquitoes 🦟 fun fun fun

This water park was amazing! There’s something to do for all ages, and I would definitely recommend it. I’ll absolutely be returning because I had such a great time with my boyfriend. The only con is that if you don’t know the park is on mountainous terrain, you might not be prepared for the walking. Wear comfortable shoes — luckily, I wore slippers that were sort of comfy, but sneakers would’ve been better. Bring plenty of water and a reusable bottle because you’ll be walking a lot, and after each ride you’ll definitely need it. Consider this your heads-up! The food wasn’t good — I had fries with a chicken sandwich and ended up with some stomach burn. It’s also overpriced, so I’d recommend bringing your own food and water if you can. That said, I didn’t come here for the food, so I’m not lowering my rating because of it. Overall, the park is very affordable (we paid around $60 for general admission) , free parking and the service from the staff was great. This place is definitely worth visiting — you’ll have an amazing time!

Here’s my personal experience: I visited the park on a Saturday (July). Overall, it’s a good park with plenty of slide options, but some of the rides are starting to show signs of wear and could use maintenance. If you go on a weekend, be prepared for long lines—expect wait times of 1 to 2 hours for most rides. I recommend getting there right when the park opens at 10 AM and heading straight to the Colorado River ride, one of the best ride in the park. We made the mistake of leaving it for later and ended up waiting two hours in line for a ride that lasted only 1 minute and 30 seconds. If you're planning to try the Alpine Mountain Coaster, do that early too. The lines there can get out of control, with wait times of up to two hours for a 3-minute ride. The food court is pretty good—the food is decent quality, though a bit pricey. The bathrooms, however, are in poor condition and really need maintenance. I recommend using the restroom before arriving, as the park’s facilities might pose a health risk if you're not careful. In short, I don’t recommend visiting on weekends due to the long wait times. Weekdays are likely a better choice with fewer crowds and shorter lines. PS. IIf you see a long line at Alpine Rush, skip it. It’s not worth the 1 hour and 20-minute wait for a ride that lasts only 30 seconds. You’re better off going on the Thunder Ride—much more enjoyable for your time.

Mountain Creek Water Park delivers a thrilling summer escape with a diverse array of slides and attractions that cater to all ages. Known for its unique mountain setting, the park boasts exhilarating rides like the Colorado River and Canyon Cliff Jump, offering an adrenaline rush for thrill-seekers. While the uphill walks between attractions can be challenging, the natural beauty of the surroundings, with waterfalls and lush paths, creates a distinct and enjoyable atmosphere. The park thoughtfully provides options for younger guests, including a wave pool, sprayground, and lazy river, ensuring family-friendly fun. Despite its history as the infamous Action Park, Mountain Creek Water Park has undergone significant overhauls, prioritizing safety while still delivering an exciting and memorable experience.
Olek S — Google review
The most important thing to know: this place is absolutely not kid-friendly. This is not my first water park, so I have something to compare it to. It’s also not my first time visiting this exact location — I’ve been here before for different events, but never for the water park itself. And honestly, I’m shocked. The kids’ area is incredibly small — only three zones, one of which is split by a walkway leading to the main slides. The water is both freezing cold and dirty. I’m not talking about leaves falling from trees; I’m talking about the water itself. The “Lazy River” was overcrowded with people and kids of all ages. On the opposite side, there are two slides with very dirty water as well. There’s also a shallow “toddler” pool with warmer water, but considering how many tickets they sell (and that many guests are bound to come with young kids), this small space turns into a swamp. There’s also nowhere to sit. Lounge chairs are scattered in random spots, mostly “reserved” with piles of towels while their owners are nowhere in sight. People were lying on the ground on their own towels under bushes and in corners, making the place look messy and unpleasant. The park layout is inconvenient — long walks from the parking lot and between different attractions. The entrance line wasn’t huge, but the staff moved slowly, and someone even fainted from the heat while waiting. If you have small kids, you might think to bring a stroller — but it’s a double-edged sword: it’s helpful for the uphill walk (which takes about 20 minutes), but once inside, there’s nowhere to leave it. Lockers are another issue. Renting one is almost a necessity because there’s nowhere safe to leave your bag, but you’ll waste another 30–40 minutes in line just to get one. Prices are high: small lockers are $20, medium $30, large $50 — on top of the $59 ticket (without any discounts). Now, about rides for older kids and teens — my teenager usually loves water parks, but not this time. The lines were insane. The simplest slide took us 30 minutes of waiting. The park itself is smaller than it appears on the map, so everyone crowds together near the water, making it feel even more packed. And I have to mention the bathrooms — absolutely disgusting, worse than a public park restroom. I have never seen such poor maintenance at any water park, indoor or outdoor. I wanted to give two stars, but honestly, I can’t think of a single positive thing. If you’re in your 20s, maybe you’ll enjoy it. But if you’re in your 30s with kids — from the bottom of my heart, skip this place as a water park.
Gelnara I — Google review
The park is pretty nice, but it can be a long trip to the restroom and staff shortages leave that all the areas to buy sun screen and water shoes were not open, they are also a little ridiculously priced. Alpine coaster line was long, but everything else has fairly short lines. There is a bar with good drinks, of course a little expensive. Overall cool vibe, we liked it.
Dan O — Google review
The water park was a lot of fun! The rides were exciting and definitely worth the visit. The pricing for entry was fair, which made it even better. The only downside was the food — not very tasty and overpriced. Overall, a great place for fun, but I’d recommend grabbing a bite before or after your visit.
Cristina A — Google review
First time I’ve been to Mountain Creek/action Park in 40 years for the waterpark. I’m proud to say I did all the Rides slides. Glad they were tuned down from the psychotic 80s. Still a lot of fun and still have plenty of bruises that are well deserved. Park was really clean. Plenty of lifeguards would’ve liked to seen less lifeguards and maybe more security. I’ll be back next season.

Warwick Valley Winery, Distillery & Orchard is a charming vineyard that offers regular tastings and features an on-site bakery/cafe. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal apple picking at the orchard. Additionally, the establishment houses 17&O, a sustainable candle company with a brick-and-mortar location on Warwick Main Street. Guests have praised the friendly and knowledgeable staff, as well as the live music and delicious food offerings such as brick oven-style pizza, wings, and truffle fries.
Such a wonderful place! We went for a Bob Dylan show and the vibes were great. The venue is beautiful, and so many places to sit and room for kids to run around. We had the best day sitting in the grass and enjoying the music. The food and drinks are all great - with a special shout out to the Margherita pizza. The cafe and store are so well stocked. Everyone there was so nice. Just a wonderful day all around - we can’t wait to go back!

Honestly, it was a very meh experience. The wine tasting atmosphere was not inviting and very casual. The food was lacking for its price. The service wasn’t friendly and it took them a while to acknowledge us. The only thing that we liked was the wine & cider they produced.

Visited for the first time this weekend and not only was the weather perfect but the cider, wine, food and apples were amazing! Our wine steward, Dawn, was very knowledgeable and friendly! She gave us plenty of recommendations on how to mix and serve the different ciders and spirits. We were even able to take a group photo on the tractor Will definitely visit again in the spring or summer

Such a fun place to spend the day! This winery and orchard (about 1.5 hours from Jersey City or NYC) has everything — apple picking, wine tasting, food, drinks, live music, and even ice cream. We’d been here a couple of years ago and came back recently — it’s still just as great. We went at the end of September/early October, and the orchard was full of beautiful apples — red, green, super crisp and sweet. Apple picking costs $40 per bag (they give you a big one to fill), and honestly it’s worth it. We filled ours easily and the apples were top quality. The place is huge, with tons of open green space and picnic-style seating. Perfect spot to bring a blanket, relax on the grass, and enjoy some drinks. They had live music when we visited, and the whole vibe was just super chill and family-friendly. We tried a few ciders, one cocktail, and ordered pizza and a pulled pork sandwich — all tasty, a bit pricey but expected for this kind of spot (around $45 for the food). There’s also a shop where you can buy wine or cider bottles to take home — great for gifts! Overall, a perfect fall day trip. Plan to spend the whole day there — eat, drink, pick apples, and enjoy the view. Highly recommend bringing a blanket and just soaking it all in 🍎🍷

Our favourite upstate apple picking / cider drinking / whiskey tasting / fall experience. On the weekends it can get pretty busy so we opt for the Tuesday chill vibe. The tasting room is open and you can try the local ciders or whiskey. Grab some snacks from the fridge and chill in the crisp fall air and relax. They have an amazing orchard of apples with tons of varieties to pick from. Everyone is always really friendly and knowledgable about all the stuff they produce. The grounds are beautiful to roam. Easy to get to and park. Close to the town of Warwick.

Overpriced for what it is. $10 parking fee and a 15% service charge even on to-go food orders and drinks, including apple cider and sodas. Food and wine were just okay. The food and drink lines are separate, so you have to wait in long lines twice (even at 2pm) — and after ordering, we waited 35 minutes for the food to come out. It also took about 50 minutes just to find a table, which had no chairs. The portapotty bathrooms were dirty and unpleasant. Apple picking was ok, but overall it felt too expensive, crowded, and not very family-friendly.

The table suddenly became very busy, and the dealer kept blowing cards, but they changed 4 dealers within 10 minutes. The staff called a few people to look at it, and said it was very strange, as if we were cheating. , they said they were going to close this desk and they were going to get off work. No way, the rules of the game are theirs. The next day, I went to the same table and kept losing. The dealer kept getting 20 and 21 points. I asked the staff when the table would be closed today. The dealer told me that in addition to changing the cards, the table would be replaced with new cards. , will not be closed. Yes, shameless behavior can only make you lose, not win. When you are lucky, they keep changing people to deal cards, or close the table directly. There is no justice at all... don't go gambling in this place, their behavior is so bad

Bush league services and amenities. Unhealthy conditions and clown shoes service. It is clear there has been a recent management change for the worse. Our stay started with the front desk being unable to locate our reservation. Despite it being made months ahead of time. Next my coworker discovered that our shower would not drain. When maintenance arrived they pulled 3 hair extensions worth of hair out of the drain. They have done away with complimentary breakfast (which my coworker would not stop complaining about for our week long stay), the attached restaurants are over priced. One night I ordered medium steak, at "market price", and received a brunt piece of charcoal that was no where near worth what I had paid for the meal. Next security saw fit to give my company vehicle a "parking warning" threatening to boot or tow it. With no explanation for the warning. The vehicle was legally and parked in a valid area. No signage, no markings, no attempt to contact me. When I contacted them, they admitted that the warning should not have been issued. It never occurred to them that the vehicle was parked for more than 24 hours, because the guests were staying for longer than 24 hours. All these above mentioned things are annoying but what is unforgivable is my coworker and I both observed the house keeping staff clean our room one day. The house keeper took the reusable glasses and coffee mugs, washed them in the room's sink without soap, and replaced them. There were no new glasses or mugs on her cart, so this must be a standard thing for this staff. Dog feces located everywhere in the landscaping and parking lot. The room does not have a microwave and the refrigerator barely cools drinks at the max setting. The computers in the "business center" in the lobby are running illegitimate copies of Windows, the styling of the rooms and public areas are clearly cheap and tacky. The free wifi is open, public, and not in the least bit secure. It is clear the powers that be are cutting corners where ever possible. In short, anyone staying here should not expect the most basic level of customer service and expectations to be met. For the cost of the room alone, I would expect NONE of these issues, let alone one of them to be experienced during a week long stay. The only people that have any idea of what they are doing is the polite and professional maintenance staff. But that is not enough for me to reserve a room here next time.

Reserved a room for Friday Night May 11. Arrived to check-in only to be rudely informed By an employee at registration desk that despite having an itinerary Number with a Confirmation Number confirming our reservation, They were over booked and they had no rooms available. After 15 minutes of waiting the hotel manager (I guess as she never Identified herself) rudely offered to shuttle us to another hotel off site. I recommend not wasting your time visiting the Sand Casino. Your better off visiting another resort.

Wasn't allowed to bring my 20yr old son through the casino to eat at Emeril's Burgers and More. Don't know why security couldn't escort us to the restaurant. Last thing we wanted to do was waste money on the slots. All we wanted was a bite to eat. Security said the only option was the food court. Definitely not worth it.

Concerts & Shows
The Wind Creek Event Center is an expansive and modern venue spanning over 14,000 square feet. It offers a diverse range of entertainment options such as comedy, music concerts, sports events and private functions. The staff are attentive and accommodating to the needs of guests, while the acoustics are impressive. Seating on the floor is comfortable with plastic chairs, but for a more luxurious experience, there are cloth seats with wider spacing available upstairs along with exclusive access to a private bar and restrooms.
Went to a 🤘concert here. Bleed from Within, August Burns Red, Trivium, and BFMV. Parking was easy in and out. To get inside was simple and organized. Highly recommend this place. Also, the area looks like Tim Burton's Gothom City. Best part, on the way out of the show, there is an ice cream shop that stays open. Best way to end a show.

What a great spot to catch a show. Ample parking not far from the venue. A pain to get out, but what what lot isn't. Was at steelstacks and had no idea this indoor spot existed. Was the perfect size and set up to see the decemberists. Great sound to boot.

Always a great time here. Polite and accommodating staff, very clean bathrooms, and great sound for a concert. My only gripe is that when the event gets out and cars are trying to pile out of the parking lot, it would save people a lot of misery if the steel gate was open from the main parking lot to allow people to exit around the backside of the building near the parking garage. Everyone filing out of the same exit was a nightmare.

There's really not a bad seat in the room. It's small enough to make exiting quick and easy, but large enough to have a great time with the crowd. The one thing that may improve it would be to have each row on the floor slightly higher than the one before, so a tall person in front of you doesn't block out the center of the stage. The sound is great in the theater! We will be going to more concerts there.

Great venue! Security was a breeze, walk through doors and walk into very large lobby with a bar- separated from where concert took place, was nice if needed a break for a minute. Didn't get drinks, but looked to have quite the selection. Staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean. Music sound was awesome inside! Would definitely go here again

Good place to see a concert. The seating section is flat and harder to view from back. Get seating on the wings, they're raised.

SteelStacks is a 10-acre cultural center that emerged from the historic Bethlehem Steel plant, now offering indoor and outdoor venues for festivals, concerts, and community events. The site was revitalized in 2011 through a collaboration between local authorities, ArtsQuest, and other organizations. The ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks features performance spaces like the Musikfest Cafe and Frank Banko Alehouse Cinema, hosting numerous events such as concerts, film screenings, and theater productions throughout the year.
If you're in the area, or even if you're not, this place is worth the visit. Being from Baltimore, I'm familiar with Bethlehem Steel but had no idea these are the original factory. They have made a very cool exhibit to walk the stacks and learn the history of the factory. Then they've transformed the surrounding area to include a stage for concerts and a huge musical festival every summer. There's outlets, casino and restaurants within walking distance. This is a cool place and you should absolutely check it out. They even have an elevator for mobility challenged to get up to the stacks.

So cool. You can walk next to the old steel factory on a ramp. Came during a food and music fair that I had no idea was going on at the time. Supposed to cool during Christmas so I’ll come again during the holidays. Enjoyed foot and music. And just one drink. I was too sleepy for more.

This is a very interesting place!! We love how they took something old, and not being used anymore, and made a venue!! We would love to see more places like this, rather than being torn down!! Preserve the history and let others be amazed by it!! My husband worked in a much smaller steel mill for 42 years and his dad worked at Bethlehem steel in Texas!! Very interesting!!

I traveled through this city and I definitely made the right choice visiting this place. There’s plenty of parking, and the site is truly grand and impressive. You can really feel the historical greatness of the city’s steel industry here. The view from the top is absolutely beautiful. It’s a perfect spot for taking photos, and best of all — there’s no admission fee.

I'm not a huge fan of the industrial era, but this is a fascinating piece of history and interesting landmark. It's too bad that the native Americans that own it won't give it at least a spray coating to protect it, but I can understand their viewpoint. If you get the chance, I recommend one of the walking tours, where if you are lucky, you will have it led by one of the guys that used to work there.

Truly an iconic place to visit! The walkway and staircase is so beautiful. Amazing garden with curated plants. The juxtaposition of nature and industrial is stunning. The bethlehem steel is one of my favorite things about bethlehem!

This was along the outside walk, where we climbed the stairs and viewed the aging steel works. Very interesting to see it at night - both surreal and quiet with the light casting shadows. The scope and size of the structures is impressive. Information placards and tidbits add to the sights I'd suggest stopping by to see this to anyone in the area

Such an otherworldly feeling to the old steel works. Nice way to spend an hour or so walking around these huge hulking industrial edifices. Then it’s a 5 minute drive into Bethlehem itself for drinks, food and shopping. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ …………………………………………………………………………………………

What a wonderful experience. So many great artisans and food choices. Entertainment by local schools in the big food tent. Next time we'll go later to see everything all lite up. They say downtown Bethlehem is pretty at night.

First time coming here, drove from Long Island! Well, it was nice. Just a regular market, I love the support of small businesses and definitely did my shopping. Coming from New York? Prices were reasonable (except the glass blowing items). My experience: was crowded and very narrow ways. Not many were wearing masks, it was an "indoor" tent, so enforcing mask mandate was not so great (vendors weren't wearing them). Entering the food court area was alright, not that much variety as advertised. It was usually the same food on every spot. I was looking for more German stuff, but the closest German thing was the mulled wine. (Ask for extra rum) After that, I sort of wonder why we paid to get into basically a mini mall. Either way, this is more of a one time thing, no reason to come again every year.

This was such a good place to go with kids and adults! The food, wine and beer were all good. There was glassblowing and ice sculptures!
