We booked to view this historic and iconic landmark via statue city cruises. We had a very smooth experience starting from the queue management, security checking, cruise to the liberty island and back. Very well managed and staffs were there to guide us. The experience is great. This monument stands tall and it reminds us about all the history related to it. Beautiful in short. When you visit NYC, this is the must visit place. Iconic and beautiful.

Our trip to Liberty State Park was fantastic from start to finish. We bought tickets from the NJ side. Parking was easy. Buying tickets on mobile was super smooth, and going through security was a breeze. We went during the week and experienced absolutely no wait time—both on the way there and coming back. The ferry itself was clean and comfortable. The first and second floors are fully heated, which was perfect, and the top deck offers amazing views. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable experience. We really enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty! The entire area was very clean and well maintained, and the museum was full of fascinating information - a great mix of history and insight. The walk around the island was lovely, offering amazing views of downtown Manhattan, New Jersey, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island. It’s truly a special perspective of New York. The cafeteria food was decent, with better prices than expected, and the souvenir shop had something for every taste and budget. Overall, a memorable experience that’s absolutely worth it for anyone visiting NYC.

I visited the Statue of Liberty with my mom and sister, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. Seeing it up close was honestly breathtaking the statue is much larger than I expected, and the views from the pedestal were beautiful . Hiking up as far as we could inside the statue was such a cool experience you really get to appreciate the scale and craftsmanship of this incredible monument. Amazing tour to one of the most iconic landmarks in New York! We took the ferry from Battery Park all the way to the Statue. Trip is nice and short, full of beautiful views. I highly recommend the tour that includes the access to the crown. It's a 198 steps very narrow way to the top but it's worth it.

This exhibit was amazing! Getting to see history. I was in the 6th grade when this event took place and just seeing it now from a different perspective as an adult just hits different. I'll share some photos that I have taken but it is 100% worth the visit. It just opens up so many more questions about where we are now against where we may have been. It also questions perspectives on mindsets these days but I will not get into that here. This place was awesome and I would definitely love to go back during another visit to NY.

Wow wow wow. Months behind on leaving this review, but wanted to be sure to encourage others to visit. This was such a well thought out memorial and museum. Very thorough and respectful to those who perished. It is very moving. To be in the space, looking at the foundation, the energy was palpable. This was agreed way to honor those souls and those who lost their lives saving others. Incredible.

One of the very best museums I've ever been to. Very comprehensive displays tastefully done. Recommend ordering tickets ahead of time for early morning to beat the crowds. Some time slots sell out. The audio device is also highly recommended.

Buy tickets in advance. Allow more time than the recommended 60-90 mins, especially if you are old enough to remember where you were when you heard the news or saw it unfold. Highly moving exhibits bring the victims front and center of your visit, making the experience all the more personal and emotional. Be prepared. However, it is an experience I highly recommend. Those who forget history are bound to repeat it, and this is an event we should never forget.

This museum was the main thing I wanted to do when I visited New York for the first time. Buying my ticket and getting into the museum was easy and organized. The exhibits were well done and organized in a timeline that was easy to follow. There were plenty of staff members to direct people and answer questions as well as a self guided audio tour that was available for purchase. This was a moving experience and I would recommend this to anyone who is able to visit.

We kinda spur of the moment decided to do this, while in NY. So didn't buy tickets in advance, although it wasn't difficult to do so there, as they had computer ordering systems on site to use, we would have been able to see and realize that there is a price difference amongst the different "time slots" and that entry times are set every 15-30mins apart. There is thorough security to get in, and lots of staff around as well. The place was clean, and spacious. The history on your way through was very interesting. The view from the top was really good, we paid extra to go to the 101 floor. And although it wasn't a huge difference from the view of the 85th floor, I'm glad we did it. Defiently recommend visiting the observation deck of the empire state building atleast once. We went up during daylight hours, so I may, someday come back for a night view.

Go see it, you won't regret the time you spend exploring this iconic building. We're from NZ, so this was a bucket list visit and I loved everything about the museum walkthrough, old footage and experiential stuff. Views are phenomenal, breath taking even on a good day like we had. We just looked and looked at the vast expanse of this city and didn't want to leave. So much NY history in the one place, it's worth the entry fee for sure. If you are remotely interested in the Empire State Building you'll love it.

From the 86th floor, the city lights stretch in every direction—Times Square glows, traffic forms ribbons of color, and the skyline looks its best after dark. Crowds are lighter at night, so it’s easier to enjoy the view and take photos without rushing. Overall, the nighttime atmosphere feels calm and memorable. If you want a classic view of Manhattan with less daytime noise, this visit is worth it.

I chose the ESB over the Rock and other viewing platforms for it's historical significance. Built in 1931, in one year and 45 days, featured in many famous movies and recognized around the world. It even has it's own zip code! My first time in NYC so definitely had to go all the way up to the 102nd floor which is completely enclosed so good for cold weather! But you have great views from the 86th floor also which is open air and enclosed. Reservations are required and earlier is less busy.

I found the 86th floor to be pretty adequate for photos.I didn't see a point to go all the way to the top, To be honest. The views are pretty spectacular.You get to take photos from both the eightieth floor and then open air eighty sixth floor. There's lots of museum and stuff to look through before you get up to the elevators, you can either look at it or skip it.It's up to you. Then, at the end, of course, there's a gift shop. I would highly recommend this. I would probably recommend it over some of the other tall buildings because of the history surrounding this one. And it's pretty centrally located, so you can see everything from the eighty sixth floor.

I must say, this is the most magical place on earth, if you go to New York, this is a must. The prices of the tickets are affordable and the experience makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. We went in the evening and seeing the lights of New York was magical. It bought the city to life. The staff were really friendly and the museum part was interesting as it taught you about the Empire State building. Will definitely come back and visit.

One of the great things about traveling to any city is obviously the people that you meet. In my brief visits to New York, though, I've found it difficult to meet and to engage with local folks. On Nov. 12, 2025, I woke up in the morning thinking about how cool it would be to make one great human connection that day. I whispered to the Universe that I’d like that kind of encounter – a chance to get to know the real New York. It turned out that I had been looking for such a connection in the wrong place because I wasn't looking up. That's when my wife (Won-ok) and I decided to tour the Empire State Building. That was one of the things that was on my life bucket list, something that is a quintessentially American experience. When we made it to one of the lookout areas, a very kind woman named Renita greeted us with such warmth that it was overwhelming. Some people just radiate goodness and kindness, and spending time with Renita was the only time that trip that we felt the sun. My aunt happens to have the same name so the name struck a particular chord with me. Renita asked if there is anything that we would like to know. I was a little embarrassed by how little I know about the city. Renita Immediately helped me overcome my sheepishness and began answering questions from me and Won-ok. It didn't take long for one thing to lead to another and for the three of us to find ourselves in a deep, soulful conversation. Renita told us she has been working at the building for many decades. A native New Yorker, she saw the World Trade Center go up – and she witnessed the horror of the towers going down. I learned more about the history and spirit of New York in the moments I spent with her than I did on the entire rest of my trips there combined. Renita is a credit to the Empire State Building and to the city of New York. My wife and I saw a lot of amazing things on that trip but the experience that made the greatest impact on us was Renita -- New York’s ambassador in the sky.

A wonderful use of old elevated train tracks turned into beautiful greenery in the middle of the city. So many different kinds of vegetation and lots of great art to see along the way. We walked about 2 miles of it from The Edge down to Chelsea Market.

The High Line is one of the most unique and enjoyable outdoor experiences in New York City. Built on an elevated historic rail line, it offers a peaceful walkway above the busy streets, with great views of the city and plenty of greenery along the way. It’s a perfect place for a stroll, whether you’re looking to take photos, enjoy the art installations, or just relax in a quieter space. The mix of plants, architecture, and open views of the Hudson River makes it feel both urban and calming at the same time. Depending on how fast you walk, you can explore the whole thing in about 30–60 minutes, making it a great stop that doesn’t take up your whole day. It can get crowded during peak hours, but it’s still a lovely experience overall. A must-visit if you’re in the city and want something scenic, relaxing, and completely free. Lovely for an autumn walk and lots of great photo opportunities. Clean bathrooms. Lots of city views. Surrounded by buildings with unique architecture. Lots of benches and viewing areas, including one where you can watch traffic. Landscaping and sculptures.

This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.

The Experience: This is a fantastic spot for a nice walking experience above the city streets. It offers a unique perspective of Manhattan and serves as a great path to get to Hudson Yards, offering a perfect, looming view of The Edge as you approach. Accessibility Note: Be mindful of where you enter. I found the stairs to be very steep at the access point I used. If you have heavy bags or mobility issues, you definitely want to double-check the map for elevator access beforehand, as the stairs can be a workout. Verdict: Despite the climb up, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. It’s a refreshing break from the traffic below.

This might be the best urban park that I've ever visited! What a great way to meander through the Chelsea neighbourhood with some elevated views of New York City. I imagine it can get extremely busy on a nice day, but its certainly work checking out if you're in the area. Lots of little pockets of space if you want some privacy from all the folks out for a walk.

If you know you know this is where the opening scene for the first episode of gossip girl filmed. It is the most gorgeous train station I’ve ever seen and is so clean and tidy. There is lots of variety of food and retail shops available and even a little sports section it entertain yourself. It is truly an amazing train station and it’s so appealing to the eye. As a tourist visiting New York City, Grand Central Station was my favorite building. You could see and feel the history of the building. The best part about being inside the station is thinking about how important it was to building the city and how it currently helps facilitate so much of the business in the city. Also, it is amazing to think about the important people from history who have set foot in the same location! Highly recommend as a stop touring the city!

Even though it’s a hub for both locals and tourists, from my perspective as a local, I still find it beautiful—especially from an architectural point of view. It’s full of history, and every time I arrive here, I feel like I’m stepping into a place that matters—somewhere meaningful. There’s always so much going on: people arriving, leaving, tourists, commuters… and I love that. It captures the magic of New York’s diversity. Trains run frequently, and you can easily catch the line that suits your destination. Ticket prices vary, but I recommend downloading the MTA app to check schedules and buy tickets online. You can also get them at the booths—it’s a bit old-school, but it has its charm (I used to do that a lot back when I was in school). What I love most is the art deco style—it reflects the elegance that made early 20th-century New York so iconic. The restrooms are usually clean, there are quick bites available if you’re in a hurry, and the self-service machines are convenient. Overall, it’s an efficient, accessible terminal—and I truly love it.

Going for a walk early in the morning feels refreshing and leisurely. The display boards might be more visible if it were a bit darker… but I still prefer the time when daylight is just beginning to break. Even in the early morning, there are a variety of food options like hot dogs and corn dogs.

We finally visited the iconic Times Square and whatever I had heard before about this is not an exaggeration. The vibe, atmosphere and the electronic billboards make this place a very happening one. Lots of shops and eateries near this place. A great crowd every time you visit. But at night after sunset this place becomes more awesome. Must visit and multiple visits are my recommendation.

I love and hate this area at the same time but mostly I love it because the shows are nearby and you can get reduced prices if you wait online and so many food, places and historical places and even the US armed horses recruiting services center and you should definitely walk this area and not drive because you will be stuck in traffic During the day. Times Square is always an incredible place to be. There’s an energy there that you really can’t find anywhere else. From the street art and performers to the endless flow of people from all over the world, it feels alive every hour of the day. Visiting during the day and coming back at night gives you two completely different experiences. Daytime is vibrant and busy, while nighttime transforms the whole area with bright lights, massive screens, and a unique atmosphere you have to see for yourself. It’s definitely a must-visit spot every time I’m in the city.

Such a great experience going to the observation deck at the Empire State Bldg. I really enjoyed all of the different inviting displays they used to tell the history of building the Rockefeller Center. Made it really fun and interactive. We learned a lot about all of the movies made there. But then the views¡ Amazing! The sun set while ẁe were there and I loved seeing the city at night. It would be on my top 10 things to do in NYC. I highly recommend you make it part of your NYC visit.

This was an amazing experience. It was my first time ever in New York and I wanted to see something from a skyscraper. The tallest building in Ireland is around 15 storeys high so being on the 70th floor at the observation deck was a huge thrill. We signed up tot he Rockefeller centre email newsletter and had 10% off so we used the discount and for two people it worked out at $108 which was about €93 which was good value for what it was. There was no time limit and the experience was great. We would certainly do this again and it is worth it.

I went up there around 11 PM and it was the best decision. There’s no line and there’s not so many people at the top. You can take as many pictures of the stunning view as you want without worrying about the crowd. As far as I was told you can stay as long as you want to (up until 12AM). The view is 10/10. I’ve also been on top of the Ende but I think being on top of the rock is an experience in itself. Seeing the skating rink was also beautiful. Would recommend

Become part of one of New York City’s most cherished traditions by skating beneath the world-famous Rockerfeller centre Christmas tree. If skating is not your thing but you like to watch instead, why not rent one of the Apres Skate Chalets for a 40-minute reservation. They are private and heated and offer cozy seating for up to 6 people. There is also a food and beverage service available.

Although I didn't get a chance to see the Christmas tree (currently being installed) or the Prometheus sculpture (under restoration) during my trip, the place remains magical. An iconic location, full of film references. Everything was spotless, the ice rink was beautiful, there were plenty of staff, and security was excellent. Fabulous.

We had Vip Tickets with the Family and James was our Tour Guide. Absolutely loved it !!! He was amazing and hilarious. We had access to everything including a private elevator on the big rooftop down to the bar. We had an amazing view, didn’t have to wait for anything and could skip every queue. We had so much time for everything and could properly enjoy this amazing experience and view. Would do it again anytime !!!

Finally, on my 5th trip to NYC we did Rockafella Centre instead of Empire State. What a great experience. Great views of the NYC skyline which includes the Empire State. The Beam was so worth it as well. Great views out towards Central Park. Could have stayed up there for even more hours. Nice little cafe/bar with terrace area to sit and chill while admiring the views.

We visited Top of the Rock and were absolutely amazed! The view of New York is stunning — especially the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline. The entry was quick and well-organized with minimal waiting time. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the city vibe, take incredible photos, and soak in the views. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting New York for the first time!

Visiting Top of the Rock was such an incredible experience! The views of New York City are absolutely breathtaking. The elevators are fast and the observation decks are very well organized, making it easy to enjoy the sights without feeling crowded. Definitely a must-visit

Top of the Rock was fantastic — much quieter than the Empire State Building, which made the experience way more enjoyable. The views to the north are incredible, especially over Central Park. You also get a perfect view of the Empire State Building, which you obviously can’t get if you’re standing on it! Highly recommend going around sunset for the best light.

Even in drizzling rain this was an enjoyable experience. We actually really like the foggy photos we got too! One of the cheaper birds eye view options with two different tourist photo opportunities. Though I usually find those to be cheesy, if it wasn't raining during our trip I could see their unique recreation of the iconic construction photo snapped during the building of the rockafeller center could be super cute/fun and very New York specific, and I may have considered it in better weather.

Loved Top of the Rock! The views are incredible even though you’re not the tallest building in the city. Took almost no time to enter even though it was pretty busy being right around dusk. The night views are the best. Definitely do this on your trip to NYC.

A truly unforgettable experience! The views from the Top of the Rock are absolutely stunning — you can see all of Manhattan and Central Park in one perfect panorama. Everything is beautifully organized, the staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm and elegant. A must-visit attraction for anyone exploring New York City

Went for the great Gatsby show, it was spectacular. From the set design to the costumes to the acting. Absolutely beautiful. Was my first Broadway show and I highly recommend anyone visiting NYC to check these shows out. I'm still in awe of the set design and the choreography. 10/10 highly recommend.

While in New York, make sure to catch a Broadway show! Our group chose Wicked, and it was absolutely spectacular. I even got a collectible cup as a souvenir—a little keepsake from a night filled with music, magic, and pure fun.

Great Gatsby was fantastic!! Beautiful venue with beautiful arches that maximizes it to an amphitheater, chandeliers, clean large bathrooms, and chairs arranged in a way that allows everyone to see the stage without any struggle (regardless of how high you sit). Only downside is that the seats are tiny (made for tiny English men, I guess?) and can be a little uncomfortable, especially if you’re tall or a little wide.

This is such a beautiful theater, old style vintage decor with beautiful ceiling & chandeliers. We sat in orchestra third row on the left the view was great. The seating have leg room & they are very comfortable. Also, the sound in the theater is really good. You can buy souvenirs by the stand on the main level. There are bathrooms on the basement & there is multiple bars one in the main level & another in the basement. All the staff are helpful and friendly! We saw The Great Gastby which was a phenomenal show! I totally recommend it!

My wife and I went to see the 'The Great Gatsby' musical show at The Broadway Theatre during our visit to NYC as part of her 60th birthday celebrations in September 2025. We are big fans of stage shows & musicals and this was the first of five shows we saw during our trip. With an audience capacity of 1,763 across two levels it's one of the bigger Broadway theatre. It has a large front lobby with bars and toilets down in the basement, which also had a period model car for visitors to admire and take photo opportunities with. The Great Gatsby musical follows the same story line as the latest film version starring Leonardo Dicaprio & Carey Mulligan and our discounted tickets that we bought from the The Lincoln CenterTKTS ticket booths were for 2 fantastic seats in the orchestra stalls, looking right at the middle of the stage, 16 rows from the front. The staging was the best of any shows I've seen to date with huge sets, multiple quick changing scenery, combined with projected images. The stage was very large with enough space for multiple cars, presumably electric powered, fully laddened with 4 passengers to be driven onto the stage. Although there are no instantly recognisable songs in the musical there were plenty of songs for the very talented cast to sing, with many of the supporting cast getting to sing their own big numbers in addition to the main stars - they all had fantastic voices and so many of them hit some very big notes, which drew thunderous applause from the audience. The accompanying live orchestra were great and I really enjoyed the tap dancing routine by 2 male & 2 female dancers. It was a fabulous lavish musical that we throughly enjoyed, even more so as we got our fantastic center stage seats at a 50% discount for just $110 each.

My kind of quintessential theater. We purchased tickets a couple months before our visit. We had seats in side orchestra which we were happy with but I am a 6'1 big guy and my sister has a leg prostestisus. And my wife who was looking after us both. About 10 minutes before the show, a theater attendant came to us and asked if we would like some better seats. Of course we said yes. Front & center orchestra. We were so grateful and overwhelmed and the show so amazing. Thank you Broadway theater staff & management. You made our small dream even better.

3 out of 5 stars I saw The Great Gatsby at the Broadway Theatre today, having read the novel and seen the film adaptations. I was curious how the story would translate to the stage -- and while there were strong creative elements, the overall experience was mixed. Visually, the production is a standout. The set design, costumes, lighting, and transitions between scenes were all beautifully done and captured the energy of the Roaring Twenties. The music was lively and atmospheric, and most of the performances were solid. However, the focus of the story felt oddly distributed. For a show titled The Great Gatsby, Gatsby himself was surprisingly sidelined, making the emotional core of the story feel somewhat muted. The Broadway Theatre itself has a classic charm with an impressive central chandelier, but the logistics were disappointing. Entry was disorganized, ushers were hard to find, and the seating was extremely cramped. As an average-sized person, I found myself physically uncomfortable by the end -- numb feet, knees, and back made it hard to stay fully engaged. Overall, it's an entertaining and visually polished production that modernizes the classic story in crowd-pleasing ways, but it may leave fans of the original novel wishing for a bit more narrative depth -- and a lot more legroom.

Visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The museum is breathtaking in both size and scope, offering a rich and diverse collection that spans centuries and cultures. Every exhibit is thoughtfully curated, allowing visitors to feel fully immersed in art and history. From the stunning European paintings to the intricate Egyptian artifacts, each gallery offers something new and awe-inspiring. The museum’s architecture is just as impressive as the art itself, with grand halls and beautiful details that make exploring a true pleasure. The staff and volunteers are welcoming and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience even further. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a cultural adventure, The Met is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression. I can’t wait to return!

We had the morning free before flying home and wanted to visit somewhere new to us. You could actually spend the whole day in this magnificent museum. It's structurally beautiful as well as having displays that are truly impressive. The Egyptian items were outstanding, the burial items, jewellery and finds took our breath away. The wall paintings on the burial building were spectacular. Also the photograph of the wooden replica boats all broken and then repaired and on display were incredible. They all had a black bob hairstyle! The Greek section was fabulous as was the Asian. The African panels on the ceiling, totem poles, tribal costumes and carvings were beautifully painted and definitely a favourite of ours. The Japanese garden was quiet and a place of calm and very much represented the culture. We had a quick stop at the cafe, the queue went down fairly quickly and people were constantly moving so tables became available. This museum turned into a highlight of our trip and I have already told friends to put it on their to do list when visiting New York.

⭐️ Incredible World-Class Museum in the Heart of NYC. I visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bought my ticket at the entrance. It was busy with tourists, but once you step inside the galleries the museum is so huge that the crowds spread out quickly. The exhibits are absolutely incredible — Egyptian mummies, sarcophagi, medieval knights, full suits of armor, ancient weapons, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and so much more. The collection is massive and honestly mind-blowing. At some point we were so tired from walking that we had to stop, because this place is endless. It really feels like stepping into ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and world history all inside Manhattan. There are clean restrooms, plenty of places to rest, and a nice gift shop on the way out. A must-visit NYC museum. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

I haven’t been to the MET ever since coming back from the army. I used to go all the time, especially when they would have new exhibits in the museum. What made me go in the first place was because I’m writing an essay on art for my art history class. I wanted to share so of the photos that I took on my journey.

Man Ray exhibit was fantastic. Ancient Egypt was also very cool. So big, impossible to see all in 1 visit. upstairs musical instruments room was awesome and the armor and swords too. loved the big open natural light room where the Egyptian tomb was. Really great place.

The Met in NYC is one of those rare places that somehow exceeds the hype. The moment you walk in, you feel the weight of history, culture, and artistry from every corner of the world. The collection is massive — truly something for everyone — but it never feels overwhelming. Every gallery is intentional, beautifully curated, and full of details that pull you in. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to get lost in time. One minute you’re in ancient Egypt, the next you’re staring at a Van Gogh that stops you in your tracks. The staff is friendly, the layout is intuitive, and the entire experience feels like stepping into a different world for a few hours. If you’re in NYC, this is a non-negotiable stop. It’s not just a museum — it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave.

Carved out 3 hours and still barely got through maybe a half(if even that) of the museum. The staff there was great and the student discount of 17$ was pretty great, and I think it’s awesome that New York residents and local students only pay if they want to, that’s a cool perk. One thing is, at times it definitely felt like a maze getting through the galleries.

Amazing! I’ve been to several museums in this category all around the country & world & in my opinion this is the best…even better than DC’s Smithsonian. Unlike other NYC attractions it was less packed and more enjoyable. I love the balance between science & history. The scale and attention to detail is top notch. Many of the taxidermies & environments looked great. I won’t go into great detail, but rather will post photos & let you decide. Lastly, everything is well maintained. I recommend!

The American Museum of Natural History never disappoints. You could easily spend hours here — especially in the incredible animal exhibits, where lifelike dioramas make you feel like you’re standing in the middle of the wild. It’s one of those places that fascinates you no matter how many times you visit. This was our second time, and it was just as impressive as the first. Even though the weather outside was beautiful — and we briefly considered renting bikes in Central Park instead — we stuck to our plan and went to the museum. Weather-wise, probably not the best choice, but absolutely worth it. We added two special exhibitions to our visit (both extra cost): “Invisible Worlds” — a stunning, beautifully produced show about the hidden connections between all living things and how we share DNA with nearly everything on Earth. Highly recommended. The Milky Way Encounters — another highlight, with breathtaking visuals projected on the dome ceiling as you recline in your seat and journey through space. Aside from that, we explored much of the permanent collection — though there’s always more to see. I’d say we covered about 80% this time, which is progress from our first visit! A world-class museum, perfect for all ages. Whether you’re into nature, science, or just want to feel small in the best possible way — this place is a must.

Every exhibit is fascinating — from the towering dinosaur fossils to the dazzling Hall of Gems and Minerals. The museum is beautifully curated, and you can easily spend an entire day exploring without seeing everything. The dioramas are stunningly detailed and bring the natural world to life, while the planetarium offers an awe-inspiring look at the universe. It’s a perfect place for both kids and adults — educational, fun, and full of wonder. Tip: Arrive early to avoid crowds, and plan ahead for exhibits like the Hayden Planetarium or the butterfly conservatory. Overall, this museum never disappoints and is a must-visit every time I’m in New York.

Excellent collection of dinosaur fossil collections, so many are complete. Nice to see it up and close to see the scale of the actual dinosaur bones. Conveniently located on the same block as the subway metro station of 81st Street station. Their are many collections of animals from around the world, not just American species. Hayden Planetarium was an incredible experience that one must try. The screen is semi circle in the ceiling to get a 3D effect feel. Sometimes, it feels like you are moving!!! Highly recommend to buying tickets before arriving to save time. Very highly recommended 👌 👍

Do the planetarium! It’s an incredible show, part science, part dreamscape, and a great place to rest your feet after a day of exploring. Neil deGrasse Tyson’s narration is stellar (pun intended). I almost fell asleep, in the best possible way. We had to speed-run this visit, and it actually worked out! We hit the dinosaurs and gems first, both absolutely worth it. The exhibits are thoughtfully laid out and easy to navigate since each floor follows a similar flow. There’s so much here that we definitely missed a few sections, but if you’re short on time, you can comfortably see the major highlights in about two hours before closing. This museum has a much more family-oriented vibe than the MET or MoMA, plenty of kids, groups, and wide-eyed first-timers. Keep an eye out for special events and group experiences; there’s always something fascinating going on.

Wow the wife and I came from Montana to see this gem. We love rocks. So many rocks of all kinds. But when asking to get to the hall of planet earth the employees dont know? Whaaaaaaat! Mamma mia!! We met four beautiful young girls looking at the African Mammal Rock for a group project! The animals are so real a lipstick just like the real thing. And the dino skeletons CANT BELIEVE THEM THINGS ARE REAL. So HUGE. All the kiddos there loved the dinos, many happy couples posing like dinos…can you feel the love tonight? In the hall of planet earf...It was very dark and warm like I was in a cave and it unlocked my primal earthly instincts to want to take a nap. Honk shoo. Honk shoo. Sleepy dAVE. Our favorite was the free fine minute planetarium show I really felt like I was in another galazy made me DIZZY. Love the milky glizy way galaxy. What do you know about the Cambrian explosion? The Alaskan earthquake was tragic. I learned a lot……Terrific. Great. Great for families kiddos and bored lonely singles.

Was on a work trip to NY but this was definitely my highlight to-go place, who doesn't like dinosaur! However I went close to closing hour, so there was very little crowd frankly which makes it very easy to navigate around and photos were mostly free of people! This is a huge museum which a great number of exhibitions you prob can spend more time here! Also nearby is central park which you can go for a stroll right after! Central Park in the Fall — Absolutely Magical! Visiting Central Park in autumn was better than I ever imagined. The colors, the crisp air, the skyline peeking through the trees — it felt straight out of a movie, only real. The park is wonderfully kid-friendly and dog-friendly, full of families, friendly faces, and space to explore. Central Park is the most beautiful place in New York! Perfect for photoshoots, horse rides, and boating on the lake. It’s also one of the best romantic spots for a date. Everywhere you go, you can hear live music, which adds such a magical atmosphere. I love visiting in any season — spring with blooming trees and fall with falling leaves are my favorites. A truly unique place you can’t find anywhere else in the world!

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

We love Tarrywile Park. We had our reception in the Mansion almost 30 years ago. The park offers many hiking trails, a children's garden, a pavilion with picnic tables, a couple of ponds, and a Castle among other things.

Great place for easy and moderate hikes. Trails are very well marked, it is spacious, beautiful and free! Even when it's 85+ degrees it's still great since most of the trails have a gazillion trees.

I absolutely loved this place when I visited the park in April-May2016. There was a slight drizzle on the day and the scenery was amazing. It was cold. A quiet place where you can get some "me" time.

Held our wedding here last month and everything about the process was smooth and beautiful! Loraine was easy to work with, communication was great, and our day went perfectly!

There are multiple expansive hiking trails throughout the whole park with beautiful landscapes. The mansion is available for events and is host to many weddings and other events during the spring and summer months so the upper parking lot may be closed during those times.

One of the best places in Danbury for family gatherings and small size parties. The white trail is good for evening jog/hike. Usually a little crowded in summer times.

Amazing museum full of artifacts! It was fun and informative too. My friends and I went from one level to another and we were blown away by how great the masterpieces and all its historical interests. As this was a late review, I remember vividly that the museum was well kept and the staff there were incredIbly friendly. Best of all, the admission was free.

A great place to learn the history of America's military academy on the Hudson River. Lots of artifacts such as uniforms and weapons. A very impressive display.

Being from Bastogne, Belgium. West Point has always been a place to visit on my list. Not only because Gen. Patton but because of the stories, the courage and I have to say...watching the movie " The Long Gray Line" movie seen many times with grandparents, father and then my own children. It was truly an honor for me to be there. I will come back while visiting family and friends. There is so much more I want to see. Thank you for making me feel welcome and listening to my family stories of their experiences during WWI and WWII. I shall return 😉☺️❤️

Definitely, a place to visit. While it is the United States Military Academy, it is full of history and a very scenic place sitting above the. Hudson River. The museum is free, and you can walk around, but they do offer a bus tour.

Loved the Visitor's Center. I came after booking a bus tour. While waiting for the tour to start, I started walking through the visitor's center but only got a few rooms in and I had noticed 30 minutes had flown by. I returned later after the tour and finished the visitor's center, which took me about an hour to complete. The visitor's center has a ton of modern and interesting exhibits about West Point, its history and the academy's 4-year curriculum, which I found very interesting. I was thrilled to learn of what the cadets go through, from their first day through graduation. There are a few interactive exhibits including two movie rooms. I also found out that the visitor's center and neighboring museum are both completely free! You do not need to book any tour or obtain a pass to visit these buildings. Currently, masks are required in both buildings at all time. I highly recommend the visitor's center, museum and bus tour ($18 ish) to everyone of all ages.

The Visitors Center is lovely, with clean restrooms and an extensive gift shop. The highlight for us was "The West Point Experience." It was an impressive exhibit. It started with a short movie covering the history of West Point and an overview of its mission and focus. We then walked through the interactive, multi-media section which again touched on the history of the institution, and then went into detail about the 47 month long journey of a cadet at West Point. Well worth the time, and it's free!

Modern, new visitor center that gives you a taste of the cadet's life. Can't wait for the museum to be opened again though.

Exactly what you would expect from our service academies. Fast, efficient, fun, informative experience. Loved the tour and we learned a few things along the way.

You don’t have to be a train aficionado to enjoy this indoor/outdoor museum. Truly for all ages. Tour guide John was awesome: extremely knowledgeable and endearing. So interesting hearing every trains story. Open year round, but highly recommend you go April - September when you can board one of their trains for a ride.

On the day we stopped the train conductor was a no call no show so they couldn't run the train. The ticket sales person didn't tell us until after we purchased tickets. They did give us a rain check but we were traveling through and unlikely to stop again. I had 2 very disappointed kids. I reduced a star for this, but I imagine the ride is fantastic and would have gotten the 5th star. The old trains and train cars on the property were fun to see. They had tour guides for a few of them. Lots of facts, more for the adults in the group than the kids. There was an old train that you could ring the bell and the kids loved that. Also there were some fun train models inside to watch and a small play area for young kids.

Great place to carry your lil ones if they are into trains, our tour guild was really friendly, they have a gift shop you can pick up souvenirs, we went in April so we're not able to carry him on the train ride, they apparently do that in May when the train has Benn serviced

Thank you to engineer Jeff who was a excellent teacher and host up in the cab of their GE44 engine. Of all the train museums we have gone this is the 1st that offered a cab ride for only $10. Great place to visit... hope they can get more benefactors to keep history alive there...

The museum is small but has a nice model railroad & some nice items. Outside it has a nice collection of rail cars & locomotives. The staff is very friendly. The price is very reasonable. The kids we saw there all seemed to really enjoy it. We didn't ride the train around their yard, so I can't comment on the train ride.

One of the best railway museums in the area! Completely volunteer run, this museum is only open on the weekend, but features a museum on the inside of the station and a huge railyard with historical trains. You must ride the train, just a few dollars more and allows you to ride to the end of the yard, and travel around one of the oldest turntables in the country! This is an active station for Metronorth, Connecticut line, but the museum is in a different part of the yard. Everyone was super friendly. Gift shop was amazing and had so many unique items!! Alfred Hitchcock's movie, Strangers on a train, was also filmed at the museum!

Beautiful mansion on the Hudson River directly across from West point. Very interesting tour. It is being renovated because of a ceiling collapse. Interesting to see the work being redone.

The gardens are stunning and very well maintained. Very classy with a garden party/ country club elegance. Boscobel overlooks beautiful marsh lands with a trail which you can hike.

I only walked around the grounds. The view of the river is extraordinary. I also saw a flock of wild turkeys. You can apples picked from their orchard. I got there too late to do the house tour. I did use the trail on the property to walk over to the Audubon Society's marsh boardwalk which ended up taking 45 minutes to get there and some steep rocky hills at the end.

I remember visiting this wonderful house and gardens before covid and when my wife and I just started dating. I don't remember what date this was but it was memorable . We arrived by train from nyc to a very nice town of cold springs. there is tour guides and the guide we had was very knowledgeable. There was about 10 of us on the tour. As we walked through the mansion the guide took his time explaining the history of the house. We ended outside . The grounds were magical and well kept and some member's of the family is buried there. The town the house and the gardens are all a must see.

We came here since year 2000 with our kids when they were young. We went yesterday since COVID, and I am disappointed. The buildings are about the same, still not very well maintained. The main Buddha building smells like mold inside. We especially disappointed at the lunch, the potato were not cooked completely, too much ketchup sauce so they taste sour, and the cabbage is also not cooked so they are too hard, the second dish we had were the cucumbers but tasted bitter. They need to do better for the food as many people are going to there to enjoy the complete package of the monastery experience.

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful monastery located deep in the backroads. The giant Buddha is amazing and worth the trip, but don’t skip out on walking the grounds.

How fortunate. Came here on a weekday and find that this week marks the 60th anniversary of The Buddhist Association of the United States. A lot of people from all over and staying overnight at the monastery to celebrate. If you want, you can be part of the celebration. Even if you're not inclined to participate, you can still walk around the grounds to relax and take in the scenery. It's so peaceful here.

Just about 1 hour drive away from Manhattan this place offers a very different vibe. An easy walk around the compound takes you through an avenue of traditional statues, the main temple with the famous larger than life Buddha, and a small picturesque pond. There are restrooms, a small gift shop and you can also share the devotees vegetarian lunch or witness some of their ceremonies. Beautiful monastery and statues. If you come Saturday and Sunday there is $7 vegetarian lunch served from 11:30-1pm. Lovely place that bridges nature and spirituality.

Excellent collection of some big names in contemporary modern sculpture. The space alone is stunning, prime for highlighting Negative Space, and it really is mostly negative space larger pieces, which makes it easy to cover such a large building -former Nabisco factory-. My all time favorite are the Richard Serra pieces: fabulous.

I found the building itself to be more fascinating than the art. Definitely go when it is sunny out. It's a former Nabisco printing plant. The art was very experimental; a few pieces were cool but most of it was silly and I love modern art. If you are in the area, it's still worth a stop. I wish I could roller skate thru the building. It's that big!

The gallery itself has a lot to offer, but the staff definitely needs more training. There’s no need to warn visitors not to touch the exhibits before they’ve even approached them. It comes off as unwelcoming. Also, we were rushed out repeatedly with two minutes left before closing, even though we only had two exhibits left to see. If the gallery is still open, staff should continue doing their jobs, not push visitors out prematurely.

Cool museum with lot sod varying exhibits - some of them are very interesting, others less so. Overall, definitely worth visiting if you’re in beacon and want to get some art in.

Nice gallery! One of the best experiences is to reach Beacon by train, from Manhattan. You have to buy the round-trip tickets at the station and kids under 12 pay very little. Returning to the gallery topic it is a must-visit for all art lovers.

There are many other places where you can see the works of genius artists from around the world, but this is probably the only place where artists are able to hold “solo exhibitions” without being cramped after their death. A wonderful environment.

Very esoteric museum. One must savor the intentions and imagination of the artist. What color is the color of the day? What color is the color of the number? Where imagination, empathy, creativity and the basic principles of interior designers are expressed in a complex... interesting place!!

We have been new vendors this Summer season, selling collectibles toys such as authentic labubus, blind boxes & more. We weren't sure how we'd like it, but the vibe there is just so welcoming. Top notch flea market! Consider going early and wear good shoes. We found some great items. Some food is available, buy some Dave’s lemonade. It starts to get crowded around 10am. The live music added to the atmosphere.

Nice flea market. Felt more curated than I'm used to though it could have been the day. I would visit again. All flea markets are hit and miss depending on what you are looking for. I did live the musicians and the bakery stand. I bought a pair of cute shabby stools.

It's always fun to spend the day, be careful of your budget because you'll probably want to buy everything you see, LOL

What a fun day trip. You never know what you're going to find at the flea market. And if there's nothing special for you to buy, it just doesn't matter because you're walking around, seeing so many interesting things, meeting so many lovely vendors, and you're in the fresh air. It's a fun place to go every summer. They also have a few stands selling organic homegrown vegetables... The plant lady was selling big cloves of garlic for me to plant next month in our garden. They were beautiful and reasonably priced. How can you not had a fun day at the Flea?

Really cool! 1st time here. Will be back for sure.... some really neat finds! Most vendors are reasonable.. some are little high. U can tell by what's going. Even nice for a day out to just look. $4 entry fee is good too.

August 5, 2023 was a great day at Elephant's Trunk Flea Market. Parking was free and very easy to get in and out. $3.00 entrance fee at 8:00am. Lots of different style vendors throughout the whole place. Some very pricey and others had great deals. For sure this is worth a visit every now and then. They could use more food truck selections. Portable bathrooms are extremely messy and dirty. Otherwise a great visit.

We were passing through this area on the weekend and decided to stop by the winery. Outside there is a large well-kept area, lots of seating, beautiful views, vineyards. Inside there is also a large hall with tables, there is an exhibition stand with wine. The atmosphere is very pleasant. There was a friendly woman behind the counter (her name is Liliana, but I may be wrong). We asked for a flight and she professionally advised us. The weather was great, we sat outside, there were not many people because it was morning. The staff who looked after the territory were also friendly and welcoming. As a result, we bought 2 bottles of berry wine: dry raspberry and semi-sweet blackberry. The prices are average. We have already tried the blackberry wine, it turned out to be sweet for our taste. We have not opened the raspberry wine yet. Overall, I recommend this place.

Such a beautiful picturesque farm and vineyard. The wine steward we had was so kind and welcoming. A majority of their wines are fruit based and very dry/tarte. Their Farm White (Cayuga) was a nice balanced sweeter wine. They have a lovely area to sit outside in the shade or sun and enjoy a tasting.

I won a tasting from a fundraiser and that’s how I learned about this little gem. When you pull up it doesn’t look like much but once you go inside what a cute little winery on a beautiful country road. We sat outside on the hill. It was a beautiful day and the staff is so friendly. The wines were delicious. Make sure to try the sangria, it was delicious. We had a cheeseboard and one of the lunchboxes and loved all of it. The owner was on site and very knowledgeable. Enjoyed speaking to him and the staff. They come out and check on you out in the yard. It’s worth the drive and we will be back for a sunset And definitely fall because the view is beautiful. Thanks for having us today we look forward to coming back.

White Silo Winery in Sherman, CT is a hidden gem—cozy, scenic, and full of character. The small-batch wines, especially the fruit blends, are bold and flavorful. I’ve been to this winery several times. It’s adorable, not a very large establishment & really in the middle of no where. You can not bring food to the winery, but they do sell food & it’s really good…boxed lunch, cheese boards, etc. Wine is delicious. A little wedding was going on when I visited last, looked beautiful. The little statue holding the sign of where to park gave us a good laugh!

So so SO beautiful! Such an idyllic setting while also being casual and down to earth. I don’t feel shame for ordering a fruit wine but could also get a great dry wine, too. My husband and I like to get a bottle of chilled “farm white” to sip on outside. They always have good cover bands playing on weekends, too.

Scenic, cozy family-run wine with a picturesque view of the mountains. Almost all the fruit is grown on premise with the exception of some grapes which are from the region. There are some creative wines made from the raspberries, rhubarb and other fruit that pair nicely with the cheese platters and charcuterie that is available to. Check the schedule for live music and pizza night!

The Flea Market is a good time for shoppers. I like that they offer free parking and free admission. I also think that they do a great job by having separate sections for new and antique vendors. I have noticed that many senior, religious, and civic groups bring in bus groups. The food is good and consistent with other outdoor events. The one negative is the lack of adequate numbers of portable bathrooms on the very busy days. FOR THE 2 DAY SHOWS LOOK FOR THE CLOCKMAN UNDER THE BRIGHT ORANGE TENT. IN SPOT 291 MOST OF THE TIME. Mention this review when you stop by. You will not be disappointed. Overall, two thumbs up 👍🏽 👍🏽

Great place to visit. Bouncy houses for the kids. Variety of food trucks for all. I had the fried oreos & kettle corn, both were great. Many vendors with an assortment of items.

There's a pop-up Flea Market and Antique sale here several times a year. It's fun! I went with family. Bring a knapsack, cart or just a bag. But, you'll need to carry your purchase. There are port-o-potties and food. You can make a day of it! Get your steps in too!

For the most part the place is great the venders are wonderful, as well as informative. There are THOUSANDS of shoppers here. They claime to have food trucks. That is true. Today, they had THREE food trucks for everyone!!! I just waited in line for street tacos for OVER thirty minutes. When I went to place my order and they were out of cheese. They could not make ANYTHING for my daughter, low blood sugar!! I drove six hours here and we expected food trucks when we got here!! Two genders I spoke with said that the trucks got into a disagreement with the owners and refused to come back!! Fix your website!!

If you're any kind of collector this the place for you. Tons of food available as well. I hear that it's even larger in the spring, so we're looking forward to another visit. Prices range from pennies to hundreds of dollars. There really was something for everyone.

Me and my girls LOVED this spot! It was sooooo beautiful and the service was spectacular. We even met the owner and we loved him. The pizza was amazing but they are cash only! It is also cafeteria style so you do have to get up to order which was fine since everything else was brought to the table. The wine was AMAZING! We for sure recommend ordering the wine flight!

This place was wonderful. The views of the mountains and river was the most beautiful thing I ever seen. By far one of the best vineyards. Great wine selection and their food was delicious. We had a pesto y tomatoes pie and their crab sliders were so finger licking good. I highly recommend this location to everyone and their mothers.

This winery was one hour and half from nyc. It was my fist time attending the stomping festival. They had a DJ and wine tasting was under a huge tent. My tasting included 6 wines and wine glass and activities inside the grounds wine stomping and hay ride. For food we had the arugula pizza, bratwurst and fries. All were tasty and delicious 😋 for dessert we had tried color cookies and lemon bar. All food was extra from initial ticket. Overall I had a grat time with friends despite the cold weather.

Wow. I had such an amazing experience here. Shaylea was phenomenal. Very informative of the wines, and an all round great vibe. Christine was amazing too! I had the pleasure of speaking with the winemaker, Matt. He taught me so much about the different wines, and had great literary recommendations for amateur wine connoisseurs. Would definitely recommend to friends :)

We had a fantastic time at this winery! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. The wine itself was excellent, with a variety that pleased both casual sippers and more seasoned palates. And the view? Absolutely stunning. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger, glass in hand, soaking in the scenery. A nice bonus was the food truck on-site, which added a fun and casual vibe to the experience. Great bites to pair with the wine—definitely a win. The only surprise was that, unlike many other wineries, you can’t buy a bottle and enjoy it on-site. You’re welcome to taste and purchase, but opening your own bottle there isn’t allowed. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, just unexpected. Overall, a beautiful spot with great wine, great people, and a relaxing atmosphere. Worth the visit!

I absolutely love coming here! The food is so good here we got the pesto and buffalo pizza however the fries that were given to us was not worth how much we paid they were cold… anyways the atmosphere is amazing, I love how diverse it is too!. I came here twice for the sangria festival and the October grape stomping festival and i definitely recommend coming here! Both times had djs that played a versatile of music (like old school r&b, rap, reggaeton, etc). I definitely recommend coming here. I also really enjoyed being able to do the wine tasting / sangria tasting.

We were there about a month ago for a tasting for the first time. We enjoyed it so much we bought a case of wine! The views of the winery are just lovely. The service was great. We hope to get back there again!

Delicious food and desserts in a storied establishment. Four beers on tap, and others bottled. Friendly waitstaff and full bar. Clean bathrooms and parking at two frontages. There was live Irish music during this review.

This local establishment is open for dinner only. It’s decidedly local with an eclectic menu, excellent service in an atmosphere that focuses on local and regional information relating to the inn and the surrounding area. We went with the NY strip and the baked cod. The strip was cooked to order and came out melt in your mouth good. The cod was lovely with the stuffing being rich but not too overpowering. We completely enjoyed our meal at this location. I am sure you will as well.

This is our new favorite restaurant when we’re in the area. Old-fashioned vibe, yummy food. Everything seems fresh. Burger was delicious and actually cooked as specified. Vegetables were fresh and tasty. The baked sweet potato—yum! The only thing that was just ok was the prime rib special.

My husband and I went there tonight. Very disappointed! First the Calamari appetizer had hardly any on the plate mostly crumbs. Waitress never smiled and acted annoyed we were there. After dinner did not offer us coffee or dessert. When I told her we were interested in coffee and dessert she was annoyed. Very rude. Served us cheesecake with no fork. I had to ask for it and she was not happy. Even though we had a terrible experience we still left her $20. I never saw a waitress swipe the money so fast off our table. We have never been treated so terrible at a fine dining restaurant. We won't be back. Disgusted!!

My entire order was absolutely trash, 2 things out of the 10 ordered were maybe decent. What a waste of time and money on both parts. Crab cakes was crap,and covered in burnt bits. Steak sandwich was literally a slab of steak on a crap bun. Pasta dish was completely wrong and not even sauced. Haven't eaten the chicken sandwich yet. We picked this order up around 645pm on 9/12/25 someone need to reach out make this right. My wife told me to let it go, but I just can't, beyond disappointed!! I had attempted to leave other emails on the website and all got discarded.

If I lived nearby, this would be a frequented place. Fine food, well-stocked bar, intimate lighting and seating but not so low key you won't feel like you can't have a good laugh or conversation with another patron. Attending another event, the three dishes offered - salmon, steak and chicken marsala were all well cooked. The bartender was quick and knowledgeable as she took multiple orders. Close to the scenic Bull's Bridge Inn, which brings vehicles to N.Y., they no longer serve overnight guests. There are a few different seating areas, one with a working fireplace. Open Thursday to Saturday after 5PM and 4PM on Sundays. Aged steaks and seafood is the focus of their menu along with vintage wines.

The Bulls Bridge Inn has been our favorite restaurant for years!!! My family and I love everything about it!! The ambiance is warm, friendly and lovely and we especially enjoy eating on the patio during the warmer months!! The food is the MOST DELICIOUS thanks to the great chef, and the menu has so many great choices and specials that it’s hard to decide!! When there, all the waitstaff treat you like family and always make us feel welcome! I recently had my daughter’s bridal shower there in June as I wouldn’t have had it anywhere else!! Mary the manager was beyond amazing in helping me plan a wonderful sit down luncheon with an incredible Hors d’oeuvre happy hour !! Mary also helped me every step along the way in setting up the tables for 38 ladies and even allowing us to use the yard area for decorations and gifts!! She not only helped me, she made everything so easy and seamless and fun!!! The bar selection is beyond compare and all the cocktails and wines and beers are delightful!! The shower was one that everyone raved about and they all had the most wonderful time! This was also due to Mary and the entire staff that made everyone there feel special. I would also like to thank Colleen, Mandy and Lauren who were there making this shower unforgettable with their exemplary experience!!! Everyone felt the joy and said they felt the staff treated everyone like family!! I can go on and on !!! Thank you Mary for everything!! Great walkway over the Hudson, except for the elevator not being open to get back up to our car. Very nice views and most bikers were very considerate and going slower. Lots of walkers and restrooms on the other side were nice with AC!! Managed to walk over to the other bridge too, and did the entire loop. It was super hot and full sun so wear a hat, bring water etc.

Beautiful walkway with spectacular views of our gorgeous Hudson Valley. I especially enjoy it during autumn with all the colors on display. It is dog friendly but not all dogs are comfortable walking over the bridge. Although the trails at either side of the walkway are green, the walkway is concrete so although you'll love the walk, your pup might be more interested in what's at either end.🙂

Breathtaking!! It is incredible to see this bridge take on a new chapter in it's life! If you want a good walk, scenic views and get a better understanding of its history, I highly recommend that you walk this bridge. It's full of life everyday, from routine walkers and runners, to tourists looking for the perfect photo to families learning about the area together!

Gorgeous views over the Hudson and a great walk. 30min causal walking from one side to the other. So an hour round trip for us and our dog. The walkway closed at one point due to lightning storm but opened up shortly after and we were treated to a gorgeous view.

Walkway over the Hudson is one of the most beautiful viewing vantage points on the Hudson in my opinion. We went just before dusk and the views were incredible! If you do decide to go later in the evening just remember to bring a sweatshirt or something cuz it gets kind of breezy once you get over the water. Spend the day of it and Traverse over the Mid-Hudson and walk over the Hudson and then grab something to eat in town and I'll definitely be an afternoon worth the trip.

Walking on the bridge is about 10° cooler than elsewhere with the constant breeze over the Hudson River. It is incredibly beautiful and pleasant to walk the bridge. The bridge is very wide so you're not pushing past people. Bikes are allowed.

A breathtaking view of the Hudson River and surrounding hilly region. An important note to set the destination in google map as We found it a bit confusing to reach the start of the bridge. Set the destination on Google maps as 1. Visitor Center @ the Walkway over the Hudson. (U can take elevator) 2. 84 N Water St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601(walk along the river and take elevator) 3. 49 Parker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (u can directly access the start of the walkway) There are vendors at the end of the bridge to have drinks and snacks after a long walk. There is an elevator which will take you down to the riverbank if you want some good pictures keeping the bridges at the backdrop. There are restrooms at entrances and one down the elevator. We had to leave early as we visited on 4th July and they closed it at 4 pm to reopen it @6pm for fireworks. I am sure the sunset view will be breathtaking. Will visit again. Also, consider visiting Ashokan reservoir if u have some time left for the day.. Take a look at the picture where u can do payment for the parking. Remember the numbered parking lot where u parked ur car. Take a small walk and find the parking kiosk in the platform( probably track2) Visit walkway.org for more info …

A beautiful Connecticut State Park! The waterfalls are really stunning here. They are only a short walk from the parking lot. There is a trail with stairs you can follow up the waterfall and take in the different vantage points. I highly recommend stopping by!

Stunning park. Immaculately clean and maintained. The waterfall is breathtaking, and the different deck platforms that were created off of the trail to give the visitors spectacular views are their own works of art, much like the stairs that are climbed to reach them all. The staff is so warm and welcoming, and the pride they take as stewards of this magical place shows from the well maintained trails, to the covered bridge, and the field. When we visited it was a drought, and still stunning, so I cannot imagine how it looks during more plentiful times. My only complaint is that I don't live closer to enjoy it more often.

This is a gorgeous state park! It's free to enter for all, and free to park if you have Connecticut plates on your car. You can see the falls from the entrance and are able to hike alongside them to the top, which is lovely! There are also lots of places to have picnics and barbecues. There are also restrooms.

Very pretty park with a 250’ tall waterfall and a large grassy area with picnic tables. There is a long set of rock stairs that are well built with a hand rail all the way up. There are a few platforms off the stairs to see the falls.

Very cute and beautiful part of CT. Plenty of grills and seating if you want to have a picnic. There is also hiking path there that is less than a mile long.

Don't come if you think this is a good place to swim but do come if you love majestic waterfalls easy trails and cute puppers. Great for a picnic and some sun. Flushable bathrooms not really for wheelchairs.

Beautiful little park with plenty of area for lawn games picnicking and short hike to the top of the falls. A Brooke run through the property and there may be some trout in there.

Eleanor Roosevelt's home is an amazing place. The ranger doing the tour was so very informative! I had no idea how well liked Eleanor was and that she was a civil rights leader. I will do more research to learn more about that amazing first lady!

The home captures ER’s warmth and humility. The exhibits and tour display her life truthfully, highlighting her positive effect on the world through her work as FDR’s partner and on her own after his death. The Park Rangers clearly admired ER and spoke intelligently about her life as a wife, mother, friend, wife, politician stateswoman, civil rights leader and pioneer.

We visited on a late Friday afternoon in late June 2025. We arrived right around 5PM so everything had just closed and we missed doing the tour and the exhibits in the visitor center etc. We did see folks leaving from the last tour. There were about 15 spaces in the parking lot and majority of the spots were filled. The parking lot is a bit of a walk to the visitor center. You have to walk over a bridge to actually get to the property. There were a couple of outdoor exhibits that we looked at and also read the kiosk signs and walk around the property in general. We were sad we didn't make it in time for the last tour at 4PM. We were delayed from the house tour at Franklin D. Roosevelts House just up the road. We were able to walk around and take a bunch of pictures. The lighting at the time of day was just getting good. We walked through the gardens and you could see through some of the windows of the houses. The bathrooms were still open when we visited after the visitor center was closed. It looks like they converted the garage into public restrooms. I think I heard one of the rangers saying that there is no gift shop here and it is all located at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Historic Site. Luckily for us we had already bought everything we wanted while we were there. Overall it was a nice property and I wish we had arrived sooner to walk through the visitor center and look at the houses.

Great chance to get a glimpse into the life of Eleanor Roosevelt beyond what she is generally known for, which is being FDR's wife. She led such a full life and did so many things for so many people, it's great that this historic site exists so you can learn about it. It's even better that it's free! Plus, if you spend some time there, you will realize why Eleanor found this to be her happy place where she found peace and contentment.

Unfortunately the homes were closed on a Monday. Free national parks day and they were closed. However, they're always closed on Mondays was a disappointment. The grounds are beautiful

Arrived after 5 pm so we missed any of the possible tours but still enjoyed looking around the grounds. Lots of history associated with the Roosevelts here. The garden was beautiful with a wide selection of plants and flowers. Didn’t hike any of the trails due to the lateness of the day but looked fun to explore.

What a historic and amazing home to visit! In visiting the FDR Library I also visited his home. You have to purchase a ticket to see the inside and it is with a park ranger tour. The ranger was very informative and gave us a great history about the Roosevelts and the home. I highly recommend visiting in conjunction with the presidential library.

Although the buildings were closed and unstaffed in late October due to federal closures, we visited the area and walked the grounds. Even from the exterior, we could enjoy the area — the vegetable garden, the building architecture and history, the beautiful views, and the inspiring artwork. Gratefully, there were few other visitors so we could go at our leisurely pace and spend time on the bench reflecting on how FDR and Eleanor created the government services that saved the country, even to today. An inspirational visit, it's a reminder that we have recovered from dark times before and can again.

This is the first presidential library and is well worth the visit. The park rangers are knowledgeable and answer questions with great detail and knowledge. The library, home and gift shop are all wonderful and well worth the visit. Family groups would certainly enjoy as this is a part of American history and conveys the times, life and loves of President Roosevelt's journey from child, adulthood and political career. Hyde Park and it's environs are also interesting with great food choices available. Come ... you won't be disappointed and if you have them... by all means bring your kids... you and they will learn a lot about President Roosevelt and american history!

We visited on a Friday afternoon in late June 2025. There were plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot when we arrived. There were a few that were shaded by trees but they were all taken. First thing we did was run into the info desk to get our tour tickets. it's located to the right when you enter. We got tickets for 2:30PM. There is a short film that plays in the visitor center on every hour and half hour in the auditorium. This is straight ahead. Directly to the left next to the doors when you come in is the NPS passport cancellation stamps. There are a few here and it's on a nice wooden table with glass top. If you continue to the left it's the gift shop (New Deal Store) and it's a pretty big one. The bathrooms are to the right behind the information desk. Also that's where the restaurant/cafeteria is and is called Uncle Sam's Canteen. To get to the site where the house tour begins, you walk out to the left and walk down the path pass the presidential library. and then veer off to the right to the stables or horse barn area. You meet for your tour there and our kids sat on some benches here to work on their junior range books they picked up at the info desk. The ranger giving the tour will start here and then walk everyone over to the house where you enter through the front doors. You can look around while they are talking, which is what I did to take pictures before the masses started running around. I found the main floor to be much more interesting than the upstairs floor which is mainly bedrooms. The rangers will gather everyone up and move everyone to the next floor together. You exit from the second floor out the back where they have makeshift metal stairs put in that take you down and around the back and side of the house and throws you back out front. Sadly we were behind schedule and didn't really have much time to explore much more of the property. We went straight back to the visitor center to turn in our junior ranger booklets and got the badges and left for Eleanor Roosevelts House at Val-Kil just down the street. Overall it was a great place to visit. There was so much more we could've done here and explored. I think if we were ever int he area again we would visit. We only had about an hour to explore the entire site and we did not plan enough time.

Due to the government shut down, I could not go inside. It is what it is! I was able to walk the grounds and there was plenty of self information displays. You still got a feel for FDR live style. I walked the 2.5 mile wooded trail from his home to the Vanderbilt estate but that was closed too

It's very impressive place. The house has been preserved so carefully. It really transports you back to that time and you realize what a powerful background the Roosevelt family had… It’s definitely worth a visit.

The FDR Museum was presented beautifully—like a walk through history, highlighting the pivotal changes FDR made to create a better America. The exhibits were informative, engaging, and easy to follow, offering a powerful sense of the era. The home tour was equally impressive. It was air-conditioned and allowed us to see most of the rooms, providing a real sense of how the Roosevelts lived. Our guide did a fantastic job sharing the history, explaining key events, and thoughtfully answering every question. A wonderful experience all around and a must-visit for anyone interested in American history.

This is the second presidential library I've visited and it was quite an amazing experience. The historical documents and letters especially where very cool to see. The library shows the entire life and presidency of FDR. The exhibits are very detailed and lots of historic pieces are at display! Seeing FDR's desk and car were also really cool!

This has been the first and so far only presidential library I have visited. I didn't know it was in ny lol but for was a new Yorker . My wife and my intentions was to visit both the house and this wonderful library. But unfortunately the house was sold out with limited access. I'm not sure if it's open now but if you never been to a presidential library and you're local this is the place to be. My wife was amazed at what a trailblazer Eleanor was and there was a guide there who was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining some of the history. Hopefully soon it will reopen if it's closed highly recommended

Exceeded our expectations, our tour guide for the house was excellent and full of interesting information. The house is as it was when turned over to the NPS in 1946 and well worth tour The library has so many interesting exhibits and fascinating thing to learn I’m a history buff and discovered many new items Even the cafe is great the food was delicious and service quick and a very friendly staff Highly recommended visiting when you can we spent about 4 hours all together

The FDR Library and Museum is a wonderful experience. The grounds are incredibly well kept. The exhibits are extremely informative and are complimented by some wonderful real pieces of history. Plan to spend 3 hours here if you really plan on taking it all in. Would highly recommend.

I thought I know a lot about FDR, the New Deal, the Great Depression and WW II before I visited here. I didn't. After spending 3+ hours walking through the Museum and Library, your start to appreciate how much influence FDR had globally and over the 20th century.

Learned a lot of good history about FDR, beautiful and well maintained grounds, architecture of the house is fantastic, and the park rangers are all knowledgeable. I appreciate NPS protecting our heritage and they all do a fantastic job. If you're into history, are looking for a park, into architecture or love gardens; this spot has a great variety. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Very nice half day trip. Worth doing. Park was very well cared for and clean. The National Park staff was very helpful and made the trip experience great. The mansion does not have AC or a public bathroom. The tour of the mansion was very nice, enjoyed it. The mansion has a nice flower garden. No food at the park. Outside the park theres food and gas ⛽️ stations within 20 mins. I recommend this National Park property for a visit.

I've liked the guided tour very much: lot of information given orally (but few written descriptions inside about the art pieces). It's sad though to see the mansion's state as the Federal funding is not enough to ensure its maintenance. The gardens are maintained by local volunteers, just to give you a hint.. In any other countries (like France as an example), maintenance would be done to illustrate this Gilded age of America.

Great national park that allows those of us who are not wealthy to see how the other half used to? live(maybe many still do today). The park has great places to walk and enjoy the views of the Hudson River and you can walk the dog throughout the park. Did not get to go inside the house this time, but it is worth the visit to explore both the park and the mansion. The staff are friendly and informative.

The mansion is truly impressive, the richness of interior is simply amazing. Stunning landscape around. Everything is preserved very carefully – it is under protection of National Park Service. The Park Ranger told us an exiting story about Vanderbilt family, their ups and downs. Really recommend it for visiting.

Truly a wonderful experience! The tour takes you through the entire 1st and second floors, plus some of the basement. It's formatted as a listen to the tour guide for a while, then go off on your own and look around the floor for a bit, come back to the group, and so on. It was a great way to see everything at your own pace and be able to ask the guide extra questions. The tour is probably about an hour, but they do let you leave after the first floor if you don't want to continue. Our tour guide (I don't remember his name but he was from NJ!) was super knowledgeable about the Vanderbilts and the property. I could have asked about anything and I'm sure he would have had an answer! The grounds are stunning and very pleasant to walk around. There is a beautiful Italian garden, a giant carriage house, and various viewpoints of the Hudson river. For the price ($15), this can't be beat. It really is a beautiful place with an interesting history. Can't recommend it enough! This is a wheelchair accessible tour, with a wheelchair lift and an elevator. There are two staircases that are also used in the standard tour, thought the guide made it clear he was happy to operate the elevator if needed. The mansion is not air conditioned, so plan accordingly. Water bottles are allowed in, but other food and drink is not. I would not recommend bringing young children as you must be careful not to touch anything and do need to be quiet to hear the guide.

It was very ornate inside just like the mansion. There is an info desk at the back right of the main hall which had multiple rangers at. We rushed there first because we needed to get tickets to tour the mansion and it looked like a busy day. We did get tickets for the 5 of us for the 1PM tour. The tickets are $15/person and 15 years and younger are free. BUT if you have the NPS annual pass it's free for up to 4 people. So we had an annual pass and a 4th grade pass so we were fine. We also got junior ranger books here to work on. The NPS passport cancellation stamps are also in here on a table on the back left of the main hall. There were a few exhibits on the left side side in the adjoining rooms but it wasn't much. The bathrooms are to the right when you walk in. The kids worked on the junior rangers while we waited for our tour to begin. We did end up walking around outside exploring the gardens as well. We took lots of pictures and it was overcast skies so it was fantastic. We also walked out back behind the mansion which was beautiful as well. When it was time for our tour we met up with our group outside the mansion and all walked in together into the main atrium. The tour guides said we could listen to him talk or just start exploring the main floor. I think I was the only one who started walking around while we they were talking. I knew it was going to be a mad house after they finished talking. After they finish their talking everyone looks around and the rangers answers any questions you may have. We took a bunch of pictures. After a few mins they gather everyone back up and we moved to the upper floor and did the same thing again. The most interest factoid about the upstairs was the husband's and wife's bedrooms, which were separate. They had a special door that opened into each other's room but they had locks on them as well. The joke was that the wife's room had like 3 locks on it while the husband had just 1. You can probably understand why that was. wink wink. Lastly we went to the basement where the servants and staff lived and this is where the tour ends. Overall this was an amazing site. The mansion was so opulent and filled with such ornate stuff it was like a art museum. We would definitely come back here again to do the tour or even just walk around the property and gardens. Especially if we have the NPS pass anyways and can get in for free.

Beautiful and fascinating visit to the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park. The historical information was presented very well by the park ranger—friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. The interior is truly opulent, and we were able to see the upstairs, main level, and basement. Walking the grounds adds to the experience. It can get warm inside during the summer months, but they do provide fans to help. A great stop for history lovers!
