Big Bone Lick State Historic Site

State park
Nature & Parks
Historic site with a museum housing fossilized bones, plus a campground, trails, mini-golf & more.
Went on a good day, nice walking trail. Cute gift shop/museum. Seeing the bison so up close was awesome! They were really close to fence. Gotta love the hills and the woods. Also a site for camping, and a couple playgrounds for the kiddos.
Hannah A — Google review
It is a great area. The museum is nice and bathrooms were clean. The bison trail and trail next to the museum were nice. We also did the other trails and wish they would have been a little better marked. We had a really nice time though!
Laura C — Google review
We really enjoyed our stay at the campground! It is a beautiful location with great activities. We really enjoyed making hiking sticks, learning about the Atlatl, vising the museum/site, and hiking the trails. A huge thank you to the staff for putting on great events! The campground has access to trails, mini golf, and clean bathrooms. The sites were paved (but not very level) and roomy.
Teresa M — Google review
It’s a short easy trail walk to see the bison. It’s better to go early morning before it gets hot. They are large and prefer cooler weather. We have been in several different months and have seen them many times. They come in to eat and are usually in the front pasture, they have been in the middle pasture which is walkable, around the fenced in area to the left side. Handicapped accessible pathway in back of gift shoppe shows mammoths and giant sloths.
Jason V — Google review
Big Bone Lick State Historic Site in Union, Kentucky, is a truly unique destination that blends natural beauty, fascinating history, and family-friendly activities into one enriching experience. We recently visited with our child and spent a few nights camping in the on-site campground, which made the experience even more enjoyable and immersive. The campground was quiet, clean, and well laid out, with spacious sites that offered plenty of shade and privacy. The bathhouses were modern and well-maintained, with hot showers and good water pressure. It was a perfect home base for exploring everything the park has to offer. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying coffee outside while surrounded by woods was a peaceful way to start each day. As you explore the park, the interpretive center is a must-visit. It offers a detailed look at the area's prehistoric past, where massive Ice Age animals like mammoths once roamed and left their bones behind in the mineral-rich salt licks. The exhibits are interactive and kid-friendly, making it easy to keep little ones interested while learning something new. One of the most delightful surprises was the live bison herd. Seeing these majestic creatures up close in a natural setting was breathtaking. The walking trails are perfect for a casual hike, and there's even a paved trail that’s stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. We also appreciated the shaded picnic areas and the accessibility of the campground to all park features. Big Bone Lick State Park is a hidden gem that blends science, history, and nature in a way that few places can. Camping there made our trip even more memorable. Whether you’re a family with young kids, a nature enthusiast, or a history buff, this park has something for everyone. We can’t wait to go back!
Chris W — Google review
Wonderful park from what we've seen. We didn't have time to do the entire trail, but from what we experienced, the walk was beautiful and therapeutic. The grounds are well kept and the bison are adorable!
Linda ( — Google review
We visited during the week in the morning and got to see bison, which was pretty cool. Part of the park was closed due to construction. The nature trails were pretty, but we decided to skip mini golf due to the heat. It is definitely worth a visit to see the bison, but it is a short experience.
Sarah M — Google review
Very nice little visitor center with lots of information, gift shop restrooms. Just when there to see the Bisons. It was 98 F. It's a very short walk from the parking lot 200 ft, mostly in the shade. Definitely want to go back for more to see and have a picnic.

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park

Sculpture museum
Museums
Nestled in Hamilton, Ohio, the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum is a captivating outdoor museum that seamlessly integrates art with nature. The park features a diverse collection of sculptures set against the backdrop of meadows, forests, and gardens. Visitors can explore the stunning artworks while immersing themselves in the natural landscape. This non-profit park offers an enriching experience for art enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers alike.
My wife, our dog and love this park. It's an amazing experience for those that enjoy art and nature and its all in one place. The golf carts are a great addition that allows you to see the whole park in one day if you want to! I always recommend this place to friends and family but advice them to bring some water if they're planning on walking!
Crafty R — Google review
Unique park with different art inside. Opted to rent a golf cart and that was fun but a bit too pricey. Overall it's a neat place to visit but I don't think I will go back. History of the owner was not appealing and it was lots of empty space. Good to visit once but I'd say that was enough
Debbie B — Google review
Cute park with varied sculptures. Not as big as I was expecting. I wish it were more walkable and less centered on vehicles/golf carts. We spent about 1.5 hours there. Not sure if it was worth $30 each but we had a good time! We also wished we could buy tickets in advance online, but they do take credit cards at their stand as your drive in.
Emma C — Google review
Recently became a member here after my first visit and was bringing a car full of ppl with me a week later. Closer to any antiquities than ever before. Its like a museum but you get a better view to the displays. The staff has been very nice too.
Dan G — Google review
Great place to take a walk and look at sculptures. 2 major problems though. 1 a lot of the art is placed a long way from the walking trail with no paths up to it. Have fun tromping through the grass. 2nd problem, the gallery loop is supposed to be a 2 mile walk, we were roughly 2.5 miles into the walk and cut across the hill to finish the walk. Management any place that has crossing roads and trails needs to have clearly marked signage!!! Fix the 2 problems and this becomes a 4 to 5 star review
Ron ( — Google review
Filled with scriptures outside as you drive thru, walk or rent a golf cart. Beautiful setting. 400 acres of beautiful nature. 3 Museums filled with extraordinary pieces of art. A must see for sure.
Keri P — Google review
Renting an Art Cart at the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park is a fun and efficient way to explore, especially if you have a limited time. It allowed us to see everything the park has to offer, from the many sculptures to the two on-site museums. A highlight was touring The Pyramid House, the former home of park founder Harry T. Wilks, where it all began. The museum guide was very informative, providing a deeper appreciation for the art and the park's history.
Becky B — Google review
Always enjoyable. Think next time we're renting a golf cart. There are golf cart only spots unless you walk.

Belterra Casino Resort

Casino
Casinos & Gambling
Contemporary property offering polished rooms, shows & dining, plus a pool & shopping.
I stayed at Belterra Casino Resort for work, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was fantastic. I accidentally booked a smoking room, but when I asked to switch, they upgraded me to a massive non-smoking room with both a shower and a jacuzzi tub — such a great surprise! The room was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The restaurants were excellent, and the drinks were strong and flavorful (definitely not watered down). I wish I had taken pictures to share because everything exceeded expectations. Highly recommend staying here — I’ll definitely be back!
Jonathan M — Google review
No heat in the room. Had to change rooms at 1am. Didn't come to spend $554.00 for 2 nights and freeze to death. Front day desk was not helpful. We told them we had a problem and they said it was the sensor. Allison on the night shift was super nice and helped a lot. Had to have maintenance (Joe and Jeremy) to come a 2am to fix the heat in the room they moved us to. So it wasn't just the sensor even the second room they had to get the heat to work. They were very considerate and helpful. The hallways to the rooms were also super cold. We were here in June and had an excellent time. This time it has been extremely bad.

Golf Course was in very poor shape (see pic below)/ I was very excited to finally get to play this course. I’ve heard how nice it was. The layout was amazing, but very clearly has issues. Tee boxes were horrendous. They had the tees in the rough half the holes. Fairways were in rough shape with barren areas of no grass. Greens also in rough shape. To not disclose this before us coming down is bad business….but then to still charge full rates over $100 per round is incredibly bad business. Oh, and high noons were $10 on the course…..in southern Indiana. Plenty of other places to spend our money. This review would’ve been a 1 star if the steak hadn’t been so damn good at dinner.
Bryan A — Google review
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT HERE! CASINO - one of the tightest I've ever been to be prepared to lose money! Very small there's two floors but the downstairs is where all the old machines go to die very depressing upstairs is small but has modern machines however they don't even let you feel like you're winning. This is obvious by the recent winners scroll on the TVs they're all 1K, 2K winners no big winners.... ROOMS - rooms are nice and spacious My shower didn't work the way it should and out of the four staff that I took with me only one of them had a properly working shower several of them had a smell of sewer gas. Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - by far the highlight of our trip! Some of the best hotel banquet food I have ever eaten hands down. The pub had excellent food! The steakhouse had excellent food! The servers were fantastic! HOTEL STAFF - non-existent front desk is nearly never staffed and if it is there's only one person. There is no coffee You hear me right no hotel coffee outside of the crappy pods in the room. If you want a coffee you have to wait for the coffee shop to open in the morning which has okay coffee and the coffee shop staff was friendly. It's located in the middle of nowhere Southern Indiana. I was here for a conference, The conference rooms were great The food service was great The casino was terrible The hotel staff no bueno, The golf course is supposed to be a big deal I personally didn't golf but it looks beautiful, there is also a spa on the second floor for massages but the hot tub and sauna was closed for renovation as well as several other parts of the hotel. I would not recommend anyone taking a personal trip but if you're there for business it's not bad

My wife and I were able to take a little getaway last weekend for our anniversary. It was a nice break from our normal routine. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were super friendly and polite.
Chris S — Google review
I came here on August 15, 2025 to relax by the pool and have some fun with a friend. We went to the pool for a few hours. When we came back, we changed and went to dinner. While we were gone someone came in our room and stole my jacket. I reported it, but nothing much was done. A security guy came by with a card to scan the lock. He said that would tell him who was in the room besides us. According to his analysis, no one was in the room except up us. I was told that there are no security cameras in the hallways. So, no help there. I brought very few things with me. The jacket wasn’t the only thing that was missing. A few other small were missing as well, but I just bought the jacket and I want it back! I called back a few days later and spoke with a supervisor. He was very nice and the other security guy was too. However, you have a thief that steals from your Guests. My relaxing day turned into a stressful evening because of this thief. Beware of your belongings. You may be better off leaving them in your car if you can.
Trudie V — Google review
Great stay at Belterra. They've definitely improved on the air quality inside the casino. Friendly dealers and all staff are very helpful. Dinner at Stadium grill was good, plenty of TVs to watch all the football games.
Catherine S — Google review
I’ve now been here four or five times at least for an annual event. Enough to write a review that means something. The thing that stands out, the most is how grouchy everyone is. The room was OK, but the air conditioner didn’t get cold enough and the shower curtain hung over the tub leaking water everywhere on the floor, which blew my mind. The steakhouse is good, and the food has always been top-notch, but other than that, all of the bartenders seem to not want to be there and have zero people skills at all The front desk people are kind of snippy and rude. If you’re 75 like to smoke while you gamble, this is probably a good place. If you’re 20 to 50, are used to traveling, and like to have a good time, be prepared to have your hand slapped and be talked down to by the staff. But in all fairness, this is the vibe I get at every casino event I’ve ever been to. I just can’t imagine taking my family here or my wife. The golf course is nice, but have golfed here before after rain and it is brutal to walk if it is cart path only. It seems pretty clean overall and that’s something I do appreciate. I just think everyone needs Prozac before work each day so they don’t seem so miserable.

Creation Museum

Museum
Children's museum
Indoor/outdoor, Bible-themed museum with exhibits ranging from Noah's Ark to a petting zoo.
First time here, went on a Sunday when they opened at 1pm...little line waiting to get in, not bad. A must see!! Wonderful biblical attraction with gardens, small zoo, 4D theatre, planetarium (10-15$ per person depending on 1 or 2 shows), zip lining (not included in price), aerial obstacle course (not included in price). Have a military discount and if u don't buy the Ark and Creation tickets together, make sure you bring your stubs to the other one, well at least when we went to Creation museum we would have got money off as a "bundle" for having already gone to the Ark. Everyone is super friendly! Lots of bathrooms and water fountains which again like the Ark I really appreciate! Coffee shop, ice cream, fudge, cookies, food and snacks, gift shops. Lots of reading as you walk through the museum but so amazing to learn as you walk through the Bible, literally!! The pictures below are just a few of the many things you will see and read! Definitely check this place out!!
Tabitha — Google review
We loved everything about the Creation Museum. Parking was easy and plentiful, staff was friendly and welcoming, many, many restrooms available and all clean, grounds are stunning, zoo animals well cared for and the museum itself was outstanding. We had a group of six women traveling from Virginia. We loved the interactive experience with zookeeper in the morning, a wonderful concert in the museum, the planetarium (extra fee), special effects movie theater (extra fee). The museum is beautifully done and very easy to navigate. Thankfully, it was not crowded, so the signs were easy to read. Other guests visiting were friendly as well. Excellent experience. Thank you!
Brandi W — Google review
We enjoyed the botanical garden. That's all I can say about the place. Within a few minutes of getting there, we were both ready to leave. We were there less than 2 hours, and I drive 8 hours round trip. We both considered it a disappointment and not worth that extremely long drive. The kid really had a good time on the bridges and the garden were the only highlights for us
Denise A — Google review
This was our visit to the magnificently designed Creation Museum in Kentucky. It was an amazing experience as we came to visit straight from Philadelphia, PA. The entire Creation Museum venue is full of information which is presented is a very accessible way and easy to understand. They have several great bookstores with all kinds of curriculums for Church, Sunday School and VBS related to the Ark, the Flood and Creation and the Tower of Babel, which I highly recommend. We also really enjoyed the appearances and shows happening throughout the day, especially the one on "The Life of Corrie Ten-Boom". The staff is very helpful and has a fantastic attitude! We are definitely planning on coming back.
Tom A — Google review
Wonderful experience! I highly recommend this for everyone of all ages and beliefs. The information is clear and to the point. The various exhibits are beautiful and dramatic. I really enjoyed the museum and you can slow down and go through each exhibit thoroughly. You can finish in a few hours and you will be highly edified.
Hebrews 1 — Google review
This was such a cool museum! Went on a Saturday and wasn’t terribly busy. Definitely a little pricey but worth the experience. Plan to spend several hours here, we didn’t have time to go to the conservatory or butterfly house. As a former non believer I also appreciated the “scientific” explanations of the creation, flood etc. This place can be a fun experience for the unbeliever as well as the believer. Loved all the dinosaur exhibits!
Becky C — Google review
Went with my family and church group recently and the kids absolutely loved it 😁 All of us had a wonderful time. They have a petting zoo and zip line. A beautiful pond with fish and lilly pads out on the water, the museum itself is very nice!! Good prices for their items in the bookstore. We enjoyed the theater also!!! A nice little playground for the kids to play in while you wait for an event to start. There is literally so much to do and enjoy.
Kristen — Google review
Must do I took my husband here for a 63rd birthday surprise and he loved it. The talks were really great and everything they’re doing in. The museum is super good. They probably need to explain the alien planetarium movie, though it was the worst part of the whole place, but still good. They just need to add more about the spiritual rounds or about the contrasting theories for why they exist. I’m not convinced they don’t. Especially loved the garden of Eden section. We could’ve walked through that several more times. Very majestic.

Love these Indiana Folks!!! They are My "Framily!" Nothing like being greeted with grace & wine!🙌🍷🍾🥂🙌

Very friendly staff and a cozy environment. Wine selection tends towards sweet which is not my cup of tea but is common for the area so if it's your thing you will be happy. The dry offerings were pleasant and we took home a couple bottles. Definitely worth a visit!
Chris V — Google review
We had a very pleasant afternoon here. After tasting a variety of wines, we each had a glass of our favorite and shared a cheese plate on the veranda while enjoying the view of the Ohio River. The winery is situated on its banks and you can watch the speed boat and barges as they go by. A nice place to stop and relax.
Stacey C — Google review
Lovely little destination on the Ohio. Outdoor seating and wine tastings. Cheese plate is a good value if drinking wine gives you the munchies. They have an excellent dry white. Stay away from the sweet red even if it is marketed as most popular.
Lynn H — Google review
Very nice location with patios open onto the bank of the Ohio River. Multiple levels, coveted and open, indoor seating too. Wine related gifts, beautiful setting!

Pretty Ohio river view, nice covered deck to sip wine on, friendly staff. Decent wines. They dont have own grapes but they make the wines themselves. Ok wines. They have a good bourbon infused one!

Modern casino hotel offering 6 dining options, plus a nightclub & live entertainment.
This hotel & casino is exactly what you would expect for a 3-star hotel. No surprises, clean, and the service was friendly. The food in the restaurant at the Sportsbook was the best part of the stay. They have excellent food! And the Service was awesome, even had a little help from a robot named Bella.

This is the first time leaving a review in the middle of a stay. My husband and I checked in yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We don’t usually celebrate it, but had a very challenging and hard summer so we found this gem to check out. The hotel is very old timing and charming. One down side to it, you can hear everything !! We are on the back side of the building and you can hear a simple conversation from under the pavilion. The room itself is very clean and cozy. Our cleaners name is Rachel and you can tell she takes pride in her work. As far as the casino goes… we are losing our butts but are having a blast. You can smoke in the casino (we are not smokers) but the ventilation is very good and you hardly notice it. One complaint. When getting food, people in line will light cigarette after cigarette which is gross. Smoking should be prohibited in line for food / where meals are being made. We have one more night and hopefully our luck will change . Will definitely be back
Marissa K — Google review
The staff is always pleasant. The rooms are very outdated. The shower curtain liner was hideous! They really need a better cleaning staff and need to upgrade their rooms. This is by far one of the oldest hotel’s at a casino that I’ve stayed at. The carpets are very nasty. I didn’t even want to walk with my bare feet on the carpet. I appreciate the comp rooms. I really recommend that they do something about upgrading at hotel. Please change shower liners frequently.
Helena H — Google review
Nice hotel enjoyed the Hollywood motif, suggestion you can park at the hotel and walk to the casino. It is not as far as some of the reviews would make you think. The room was clean ask for a non-smoking room if you want to avoid the smoke smell that other reviews have indicated. I saw little indication of wear and tear with exception of the front entry. After that the hotel seemed to be clean and well kept. Not bad after a 30 years it is little used now, that is the casino next door given that there are 15 other casinos nearby. This was a reasonable hotel for a good price.
Jon C — Google review
Love this place!! But needs to be refurbished, it is very dirty/old My room would not get hot water not even after 25 mins of running & the carpets are dirty & feel sticky, chairs so stained wouldn’t sit on it, toilets smell terrible after ‘ after taking a closer look i can see why…. Disgusting! If you are disabled or have a hard time walking, this is not the place for you….. walk from the hotel to the casino is like a mile away, very far, very very distanced and all uphill! 😫 Love the look and aesthetic of the place, but it does need some help!!!! A BIG shout out to James and Justin. 2 very kind young men that went out of their way for me & we’re very helpful.!!! Hey Hollywood since you’re not putting the money that we all give you back into the hotel, please put it into these young gentleman‘s pay checks!! 🤗 I did not get pictures of everything, but I did get pictures of the toilet! Lots of urine etc. 😫
Dawn K — Google review
The room I would take 1/2 star off only because the phone didn’t work and the carpet was bubbly. As for location there was a very loud train that kept waking us up in the middle of the night but other than that my husband and I always enjoy our time there especially for Halloween boogie nights!
Justine B — Google review
Need attention in the room, the wall A/C unit desperately needs to be clean you’re asking for trouble with that! The curtains, especially the blackout ones need to be replaced, the lamp shade they are totally trash! Carpet needs totally replaced! And a mop taken to the Floors! Plus rubber mat for shower!, main reason for review. Husband slipped in the shower, he’s alright! Little upgrades go long way!!! Stay quite often, but think the room’s really need attention!!! Your employees are always respectful and very kind and always willing to help! Thank you Hope Hollywood Hotel continues to survive!!!

I avoid leaving negative reviews, but this place has 100% lost site of the concept of customer service. I would avoid it at all costs. We booked through booking.com. According to booking.com, after trying to get a refund, all the rooms in this dive are smoking rooms and they are well used...We went to check into the property, got to our rooms and realized they smelled like an ash tray. We went back to the front desk and told the guy there that we were going to leave. He did offer to put us into other rooms, but at that point we decided to just make the drive home since the smell of smoke was pretty much throughout the property. When I asked about a refund I was informed that I would need to call booking.com to do this and so that is what I did...after an hour on hold and calls being dropped twice I was told by booking.com that the refund was being denied by the hotel. I called the hotel and they indicated that there were non-smoking rooms available that night and since we didn't give them a chance to fix it that the refund was being denied. They also went onto tell me that I had booked smoking rooms somehow on booking.com and that I should read the confirmation email more closely. Frustrated would be customer here. Back to Marriott and a brand that actually makes it right when there is an issue.

No matter the season, this campus is a beautiful place to be! It has all the feelings of being in a Hallmark holiday movie.. the campus is absolutely gorgeous..The Fall foliage, to the flowers that are planted along campus during the spring and Summer.. or the gorgeous art and architecture that is around with the beautiful winter snow.. Mami university.. Oxford, Ohio.. is a beautiful place to visit, attend school, explore, live..

We were there for the Business School graduation today. They know how to get all the graduates in fast! I couldn't believe how many graduates didn't return to their seats and left as soon as getting their diplomas.

We toured Miami today and it's a beautiful campus. It has such cool history and has a lot of neat quirks. Our tour guide, Sia, was an absolute delight, giving us history but also a lot of great personal stories to highlight the uniqueness of the campus.

Very nice campus! I'm impressed by all the safety measures they take there. From the cross walk flashing lights to the emergency call boxes all around.

Hueston Woods State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Parks
Recreation area with lodging, camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing & fossil-hunting opportunities.
I have not visited this state park for over 30 years so this was a trip back to memory lane. We did some hiking on the Big Woods and Sugarbush trails through their Beech and Maple virgin forest which is truly a deep woods experience. We also got in the Cedar Falls trail which I highly recommend. The Lodge and Cabin areas are pretty much as I remember without having changed much so they appeared a little dated. We drove through the campground both the areas with electric and those without and saw the places I first camped as a kid about 55 years ago. The Lake Loop round is currently closed near the marina due to a bridge being replaced. The roads in some places need replacement since they look like they have only been heavily patched over the last 30 years. We also got a chance to see and walk the dam holding back Acton Lake. Overall a good day outside.

We stayed here twice when we were on vacation in Ohio. Very nice Cabins and surroundings. They have pools, volleyball court, a basketball court, and other amenities. They also have a nice beach and great customer service

Great place for the family. Hiking, fishing ,swimming, boating, bird watching. This park has it all. The trails are nice, the campground is really nice. Lots to do for all. Fossil and rock collecting in the creek.
Justin W — Google review
The park has a variety of options for your stay including RV, tent, lodge, cabin, equestrian, primitive and groups. There is a large Pavillion in the campground. They provide many activities such as nature walks, flora and fauna talks, and more. Acton Lake offers a beach, marina, and fishing. You can rent boats as well. There are 18 hiking trails of various lengths and difficulty.

Versailles State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Hiking, biking & horse-riding trails around a lake for boating, fishing & swimming, plus campsites.
I visited to do the Mammoth March. It was a wonderful shaded hike. We crossed the creek several times & was only in the shade for 5-10 min the whole 8+hrs. There were SEVERAL muddy places but with 1200 participating I'm sure that's why.
Krystal D — Google review
One of the cleanest campgrounds I've been to. Now withh that being said it definitely could use water at sites and some full hookups. The bathroom and shower houses definitely could use an upgrade. But overall is a great state park with fishing , boating, hiking and a huge pool with slides .they just need water hookups so you can stay longer then 3 to 4 days .

Such a quiet and peaceful park! Camping was so much fun. My parents and dogs had a great time.

My mother and father started camping here when they were kids. It is a great reset just outside Cincinnati. I can't say enough great things about the staff and the cleanliness of the campground. Plus on a clear night you can't pass up the view.

Camped here at site #112 for just one night on our way back home. Seems like a nice park. Very clean and well kept, though dated. We would definitely stop here again on another camping road trip.

Love this park, been going here for years. Miss the old wooden playground, but the new equipment is nice. Lots of trails, easy to moderate. The mountain bike trail is my favourite to walk, takes you up on the ridge and down into the valley along Laughrey creek. Swimming pool is nice. You can rent canoes to go out on the lake, and paddle boats. Camp store is a tad expensive. But the nature center is fun. Lots of shelters that can be reserved for family outings. Horse trails,BYOH. Campground is big, but crowded.
Justin W — Google review
We went for the day while my parents were camping. The lake was so big to fish on or use a canoe, plenty of campsites, very clean areas, very quiet and peaceful, alot of trails, the pool was open but still to cool to use yet. It was a wonderful first time there and will definitely come back again!

This is a beautiful historic place that I've been coming to since I was a kid. I love it!

Such a lovely mill in a cozy little town. The state museum does such a great job with education about the history and operation of the mill. Be sure to call ahead and ask about the times for grind demos where you can watch fresh corn being ground into cornmeal and grits. You can buy it right here on the spot! I love making jalapeño cornbread from the Metamora Grist Mill cornmeal.

Centerville Antique Mall & Auction House

Antique store
Shopping
Appraiser
Shopping Malls
We’ve been visiting this antique mall for a couple of years. The changes in the last year are amazing. We have noticed that it is cleaner, many of the booths have been painted and upgrades to spaces are happening. The staff are friendly and helpful. Since the change in owners we are seeing more antiques, primitives and collectibles. And….they have an amazing selection of mid century modern.
Julie S — Google review
The building was much larger than I thought it would be and they have a lot of 1980s and up collectibles along with a few booths of older antiques and collectibles. The prices appeared to be more reasonable than the large city malls, but the variety wasn't as great. They appear to be undergoing some renovations so there are a few areas with open booths and construction work. It should be pretty nice when they get it all fixed up.
Cordell W — Google review
Centerville Antique Mall is HUGE! 500 booths is what they boast. There were a few empty booths, and I felt as though compared to other antique stores several of the booths were overpriced. However, it’s a good 3 to 4 hours of fun if you take your time. Their collectors cabinets just as you walk in are a huge hit if it is items you collect. The staff was friendly and had info on local food places while you are in town.
Heather K — Google review
EDIT -- Came back today (1-7-2024). It was even cooler inside. I had on a heavy jacket and was still a little chilly. There are quite a few buckets sitting throughout the entire building catching water leaking down. Employees were nice. Today (12-5-2020) was my first time here. I enjoyed looking at all the interesting items. I even bought something. It was a little cool inside but it didn't bother me. They do enforce the mask mandate which is nice. It made it more comfortable looking knowing everyone is following the same rules. I look forward to coming back here.
The M — Google review
Hello to all out there my review is not to upset people but this place is really gone downhill over time it used to be a lot better than it currently is. Here is the major things the building is starting to leak more and more the air conditioner is not working hot sticky in there hard to enjoy walking around it seems like they're stopped investing in the building and the location the parking lot has giant potholes in it it's kind of a major tourist area thing but I need to put a lot of money back into it and make it nice again and had a nice little restaurant inside that was unique. I've heard from different sources but not sure if it's accurate or not they also have an antique location in Portland Indiana is the same owners as the one in Centerville Indiana?
Christopher S — Google review
We stopped in at this Mall today a few minutes after 5 well aware that they closed in an hour. We were going to make a quick walk thru before heading back to our hotel. Within minutes they announced to bring your purchases to the counter that they were closing in thirty minutes. This was 45 minutes before closing time. In the next ten minutes they announced it three more times. Do they want customers or not? If I was a vendor here I would be more than a little angry. We shopped for maybe ten minutes and purchased $60 worth of items. They probably cost their vendors sales. We no longer felt like we could look. We paid and were out the door still 30 MINUTES before close. We have shopped here before when in town and had a good experience. This was not. I considered leaving my items in the cart and leaving.
Randy W — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you love the charm of yesteryear and the thrill of finding one-of-a-kind treasures, this antique mall is a must-visit! Every booth is filled with unique vintage finds, from furniture and home décor to collectibles and timeless curiosities. The layout is spacious and easy to navigate, and the entire place is clean, well-organized, and full of character. The vendors clearly take pride in what they bring in—so many beautiful, quality pieces and fair prices too! The staff is friendly and always happy to help or chat about the history behind certain items. Whether you’re a serious collector, a decorator with an eye for vintage, or just browsing for fun, this antique mall is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. A true hidden gem that keeps history alive!
Gentry C — Google review
I saw their sign from the freeway and stopped in to browse. WOW! What a great place to look for collectibles. I ended up finding a treasure trove of something I wanted but had to limit my purchase to what would fit in my suitcase for the airplane! There was a mix-up on the prices charged, but CAM made it right. Thank you so much!

Whitewater Valley Railroad

Tours
Historic engines pull trains through the Whitewater Valley to a restored 19th-century canal town.
I had a fabulous experience riding the white water valley train to Metamora and back on September 1, 2024. The staff on the train was very friendly and enthusiastic, which added to the awesomeness of the experience. The ride was beautiful as it took us through the country and the whitewater canal, showing us some picturesque sights. Metamora is a really cute town and I absolutely loved the vibe there. So peaceful and relaxing and the Killer Bee pizza at Third Place Metamora is finger licking good! Overall, a really fun time and I hope to come back again in the future!
Sid C — Google review
Awesome. Connersville has a small outside market. Big lake close to town. Tons of boats, so theirs a lot to do waiting for the train. The guide talks about the history of the area. Kinda cool. No AC but windows open helped a lot. They stop at a small town for 2 hrs with shopping, drinks, eats. We went on a very hot day. In all it was nice and I'd do it again but maybe on a cooler day.
John C — Google review
The expedition was pretty good! The volunteers were really nice and knew their stuff, the train was well taken care of (for being 100 years old) and it ended up being a pretty fun 5ish hours! There are no toilets on the train, and it does get pretty warm though, just be warned. All in all, it was a fun time, for kids and adults!
Josh G — Google review
Loved the Fall Colors train ride to Metamora and the Canal Days event. Actually, it was a great way to get there, as the roads were very backed up - but we glided in right into the middle of the event. If you are a railfan like me, the two extremely rare Lima LS750 and LS1200 engines are among the last 5 Lima diesels in existence, and the only 2 that are in operating condition. In Metamora, there is an old covered bridge that is an aqueduct - a bridge for the old canal that takes it over a small creek! An amazing artifact from the 1840's.
John B — Google review
My husband and I took the train from Connersville to Metamora. It was an extremely hot day, but with all the windows up on the train there was a breeze. It was an inexpensive and enjoyable way to spend the day. The conductor, Paul, was very informative and friendly, which made for a more hands-on experience. Metamora has a few quaint shops, a couple of restaurants and is home to the last wooden covered aqueduct in the United States. It's a very laid-back experience.
Mary B — Google review
This place and all these amazing people cannot be described in words. You have to try it to experience all they do. It's alot of work to do what they do but at the same time it is so layed back and enjoyable it just hits in a way a text cannot describe. We had the best princess day ever for our child and everyone from the minute you walked up to the second you left were so courteous and kind.
Jonathan M — Google review
Staff on the train is best in class, so nice. No bathrooms on train and the only air flow is from the windows. We went on a cool day, it was amazing. Metamora is like traveling back in time. Only a few good spots there and would not recommend going hungry 🙂 10/10 recommend the coffee spot and granny’s cookie jar ice cream! The waffle cones are uh mazing.

🚂 🔔 🍪 ❤️🎄👩‍🍳✨🎅 Our night excursion to the ‘North Pole’ on ‘The Polar Express’ TM with hot chocolate, cookies, dancing chefs and elves, a reading of the book, our tickets punched by the conductor in the shape of our initials, and a visit from Santa. Reading of the book and music from the movie plays in the overhead speaks. Very magical and a memorable holiday experience that I’ll always cherish and hope to make this a regular outing. Took my kids and grandkids. Highly recommend. Buy tickets earlier in the year. Very nice old train ride experience with the sound and movement of the train. Also the Easter Bunny Express was a fun day too. 🐰 🍬 🚂 💐 🐣 The ‘Easter Bunny Express’ at The Whitewater Valley Railroad Grand Central Station ~ Connersville, Indiana. We left the train station depot on our excursion and headed south, with a stop at the Robinson Whitewater River Campground to the bunny patch for the Easter egg race and to have pictures with the Easter Bunny. “The Whitewater Valley Railroad is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit operating railroad museum dedicated to preserving a historic branch line railroad, the restoration of railroad equipment, and the conduct of educational railroad programs.”

Hello from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park! I was told about this on my trip there on Christmas..I'm on YouTube TikTok Facebook if you'd like to check out
Gatlinburg H — Google review
A very unique sight on a traditional courthouse square. Also has a veteran's memorial that is worth seeing, too. Not often that you'll see a quote from Calvin Coolidge in stone, but this is a good one!
Jeff P — Google review
How unique and cool! Would love to see inside today, just walked by it. Love that they embrace it there.
Paige M — Google review
Most towns have a little something that makes them unique . . . but a tree growing out of the top of courthouse. The Courthouse Tree is a very unique sight growing 110 feet above where you would expect a tree to be growing. The original was first noticed in the early 1870's. The Veterans Memorial on the Courthouse grounds is nicely done. The Town Square is nice with many locally owned small businesses and others in the area. There are places to gather and eat, get a cup of coffee, shop, and get a tattoo.
Lonnie P — Google review
Went to check this out myself after reading about it.
Eric C — Google review
Yes, it's a real tree. It just appeared with the seeds blown by the wind or dropped by birds. And it's growing. The county clearly helps it along as it's a tourist draw.

My brother and I are big hoops fans. Our favorite part was the group of guys running it. They are volunteers who are down to Earth, and you can tell they really love this place. They'll tell ya all about the gym, the movie, or Knightstown. This is truly a blast from the past. You can play on the court, rent it out for your team to play, or just take a few pics. They have an incredible gift shop and top-notch folks running it. It is worth the trip. You can spend a couple of hours or 15 minutes, but either way, you'll leave enjoying this bit of history! We loved our time here. Go Hickory!

Even if you’ve never seen the movie “Hoosiers”, watching a game in this historic gym is a fun experience! We visited on a Saturday to watch a high school game and were lucky enough to see the 1939 Chevy bus. The gym is filled with memorabilia from the movie as well as jerseys left behind from teams that have played on the court. If you want to take home a souvenir, they offer a wide selection of merchandise such as posters, shirts, replica courts, and hats. The concessions were also reasonably priced, and I highly recommend getting their popcorn. I greatly enjoyed visiting this gym and hope to make it back soon!
Savannah M — Google review
We were on our way to visit Springfield, IL from Ohio via I-70 and we saw a billboard advertising the Hoosier Gym from the iconic movie Hoosiers..one of my all time favorites. And this will go down as one of my all-time favorite unexpected finds. The gym is just like you remember in the movie..the home games were played here. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and showed my wife and I all around. We were able to shoot some hoops and they have a ton of T-shirts, sweatshirts, photos, etc for sale. Only 4 miles off the highway and soooo worth it! Highly recommended!!!
Michael W — Google review
Visited on 6.16.2025. If you are a basketball fan or you enjoy the movie Hoosiers, this place is a MUST see. The gym itself is just like in the movie and you can shoot hoops or play an actual game with other visitors. The enormous collection of signed jerseys by local area teams is Amazing, as are the posters and and pictures that reference the Hoosiers movie. This place is a National Treasure! Highly Recommend to anyone traveling through the area.
Rick W — Google review
Though neither of us had seen the movie yet, we both knew the story’s basic premise—one of the perks of having grown up before the internet, when America still shared a common cultural vocabulary. Visiting film locations is one of our favorite things to do when we travel, and this one was especially memorable. We arrived about thirty minutes before opening, but the curator was incredibly kind and welcomed us in early, offering a personal and private tour. It felt like stepping right into a piece of cinematic history, and it quickly became one of our favorite experiences of the entire trip. The place is made even more special since the community continues to use it to this day for basketball and other events.
Wanderfish — Google review
If you love basketball this gym is a must visit! Great to see where Hoosiers was filmed but also fun to see a classic Indiana gym from the good ole days! This gym reminded me a lot of the gym I played in in the 60’s.
Robert C — Google review
If you've seen the movie and loved it, this is a must see. Less than 5 miles off of I-70. The cutest town too.
Erica B — Google review
Looked forward to seeing this place for a while, and when you walk in you’re immediately taken back to the film. Instantly recognizable. Locker room is available to visit as well. They do play games in this gym so they’ve replaced the original backboards with glass, square ones with breakaway rims, and added a 3 point line and a modern scoreboard even though the old one is still present. I wish they’d have just left everything as-is and did zero modernization but I understand. Absolutely awesome place to visit, one of the great stories in sports and one of the better sports films.

I had chicken pesto pizza and fuzzy peach wine and they were spectacular. We were a large party of road cyclists (around 15+) who came here after our biking events. Our server Katie was very nice and the staff accommodated us outside upon our request. Before I start our ride, I asked for water and not only they gave me water but also added ice in my water bottle. It was very nice of them and I was very impressed. My friends were all so happy with their foods and drinks. A great outdoor sitting place to hang out with your friends after road cycling. The indoor was also very nice. Highly recommend this place if you live in Columbus, Indiana. Katie, our server, was very patient with our big party tonight and tremendously helped us. 🙏

450 North Brewing Company This was another great Harvest Host located off I65 in Columbus, Indiana. They have easy in and out access with a separate gravel lot for the RV’s! The lot was large enough to enter and circle without disconnecting the tow car which was a huge benefit! The grounds are just beautiful with a large walking garden so beautifully set up. The brewery/winery combination is a large red barn that is beautiful inside, see pics below. The food was excellent as we had the loaded tots and a wood fired brick oven pizza that was delicious. The beer was delicious also. I bought a growler which I’ve never done and wished I had bought 2! The employees are so nice and This place is stellar all the way around. We highly recommend visiting if you’re passing near there!

Hidden racing gem of the Midwest! I just went to the racetrack. The venue is well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. Everything is easy to get to. My first time going & it was fun. I came on a Tuesday but I still won $3K & spent $500. I guess that’s a win. On a Tuesday night the employees and the people that met. They were very nice even though it’s a smoking area. I’m not a fan of that. But the place does look nice and I’m definitely wanting to come back but on the weekends.

Had a quick trip to the casino after a round of golf. Had a 30 minute session playing 3 card poker. Lost $30 quick bite to eat and picked 1 slot machine to play on my way out. Everything was great, clean restrooms, friendly staff. Would go back again but you have to learn how to come and go quickly in my book 😁

I freely admit that I am not really a gambler so I can't pass judgement on the quality of gaming. There is a pretty nice free drink service and places to sit down and enjoy your beverage near the Sidewalk Cafe. The SC is, in my opinion, too expensive and not very delicious. Regrettably, the buffet is long gone. It was one of the pleasures of a casino visit. I find the air conditioner turned up too high but I suspect that it must be done to keep the machines cooled. The background music is pretty good but at times, a bit too loud for my tastes. Finally, the staff is calm and professional but not all that cordial. Pro Tip The grounds and racetrack area are great for a nice stroll. For dining, you might consider the nearby McDonald's for a cheap meal or go into Shelbyville to try out the outstanding Cow Palace.
Geoff — Google review
The casino is easy to find, right off the main road. It seems really big from the outside. Theres table games, slot machines, high limit room, few places inside to eat, a self serve soft drink/coffee station, a cashier booth and players card booth. If course bars to. Only a few ticket casher machines. There was quite a few machines that were down, off, or not working. Just like most casinos (especially the ones owned by Caesars) not alot of wins or free spins and I bounced around and played many different ones. Plenty of outside parking and garage parking that was very full. Overall it's not bad nor great just somewhere to go and press your luck. Oh, the bar drinks are pricey a jack n coke is $9.00

I have been here several times and for the most part had a good experience although I have found that the majority of dealers at the black jack tables are not friendly. What I mean by friendly is somewhat of a positive attitude not just dealing in a rush. . Almost like they hate their jobs. Each dealer is a different experience. Tonight was a total poor experience . The entire crew seemed to be new and unfortunately only one had a positive reaction with the people at the tables I played. I was there 5 hours and only 2 times was I able to get a drink at the table . The restrooms were a mess. No towels in containers, leaks in urinals and urine all over the floors. Slow service at the small restaurant. This is my first experience with such a poor atmosphere. I gave it 4 based on past experiences as well. If I gave it based on this experience it would be very low. I love coming here and will give it an another visit and hope it was just an off day. I don’t go just to win I go to enjoy the people and atmosphere.

Love the place took me awhile to learn to come out a little on top of the game,I enjoy playing the slots, and getting all the perks free slot play, meals, and all types of gifts, having fun and relaxing but most of all I love hitting a occasional Jackpot, or going home ahead with a Little chunk of $. But hate donating to the damn place. can't go giving all your cash away, and go broke, take their money and keep yours , you play the game don't let the game play you. Know when to hold them and when to fold them , if the bell's aren't ringing and spins not hitting move on . I don't do to bad very much, but have had bad days and couldn't hit any bonuses, which sucks ! But also stuck $20 in a slot beating $1. - $2. a spin and hit a bonus on the second or third spin ,for some good cash . Just don't take more money with you than you can afford to lose.my best advice is leave credit and debit cards at home . I learned my lesson that is for sure.

Hidden racing gem of the Midwest! I just went to the racetrack. The venue is well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. Everything is easy to get to. Race card was good. Burglar was amazing! If you are looking for a fun, casual and comfortable day at the races, this is the track for you.

Concerts & Shows
Ruoff Music Center, formerly known as Deer Creek Music Center, is the largest outdoor music venue in the Indianapolis area. With a capacity for nearly 25,000 spectators, it hosts major tours and festivals across various musical genres from May through fall. While some visitors have experienced delays exiting the parking lot after events, many locals praise its efficient operation and security measures.
Great place for concerts!! Seating is nice but feels crowded. The lawn is usually pretty comfortable. Most of the lawn chairs for rent are gone by time you get there. You would want to order them in advance. Don't waste your money on the "blanket" it's smaller than a rug. Most vendors only accept card. The security check is pretty laid back usually.
Ariel H — Google review
I love seeing shows at Ruoff! Whether you’re in the pit, seats, or the lawn, you’ll have a great view and a great time. The pit is a bit small, so it is easier to get in and out if you need to. I like that the entrance to the lawn is at the front, as opposed to some with lawn entrances from the back. Food and drinks are way overpriced, but that’s concert venues nowadays. The staff and atmosphere are 10/10. Great concert venue.
Brittany R — Google review
Came here to see Pierce The Veil. The venue staff is absolutely amazing compared to some venues I’ve been to, they’re so happy to help and have all the info you will need. We were driving around the parking lots 2-4 am until some workers came in, advised us what time lining up would be allowed, and due to their info we were able to get a great spot in line and into the venue quickly. On top of that, inside the venue they kept us dry during the storm, figured out how to keep the show going, and kept us all in line and orderly. I wish they had photographers by security so I could find a picture of my bestie and I on the barricade, but that has nothing to do with a bad rating. This is a great venue and I would travel to it again to see more shows!

This venue was perfect for our concert. There were no bad seats and I love that it was like a little town inside, with so many options for food, merch, and even free water to refill your bottles.

Rain delay but we had VIP and got to wait in the bar area. Saw Pierce The Veil and the band was great! Due to the rain I'm glad we had seats under the pavilion. All the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Great arena and would definitely go again.

Enjoy my experience every time I visit Runoff Music Center (or as we all still call it Deer Creek!). This time was no exception. Had a wonderful time seeing some of my kids' favorite bands. Will be back for another show soon. 😉

I went for Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. This is a good venue. There is plenty of space for merch and a lot of food and drink options. Everything is overpriced, but less so than some other midwestern venues. They have a mix of seating and open lawn and I did find it irritating that they needed to see my ticket every time I came back to my seat. I think wristbands would have been easier.

This is great outdoor space! They have plentu of parking options, the in and out is super organized. Lots of ticket checkers with a speedy process. The facility was clean the staff was nice. The food and the alcohol was pricey, but the loaded nachos are worth it. Loved it!

Conner Prairie, located in Fishers, Indiana, is a recreated 19th-century village spread across 200 acres. This interactive history park offers a glimpse into the past of Indiana through engaging exhibits and activities. Established in 1934 by Eli Lilly, the park showcases the evolution of Fishers from a town to a city in 2015.
A great place to stop for a visit! We were on a mini vacation in Indianapolis and stopped here on our way home. The playground alone made it worth it for our daughter. We also enjoyed wandering the village and chatting with all of the villagers and workers. The treetop play area was also a lot of fun. Stopping by in the spring also ensures you will see tons of baby animals. We even got to pet a few of the larger ones.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival at Conner Prairie was a magical experience. Colourful balloons filled the sky at sunrise, creating a breathtaking view. The atmosphere was festive with music, food, and family-friendly activities. A perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, it’s definitely worth attending.

Headless Horseman Absolutely loved this event! My family and I had an amazing time! We didn’t get to do everything they had to offer, there was so much! We absolutely loved the Marinette show, the magic show and the fire throwers. Of course the headless horseman wagon ride stole the show! That was so much fun! The food was some of the best! I wished I had filmed the marionette and magic show, it was also like a comedy show in addition to each one. We are looking forward to coming again next year!!!! 100% worth the cost of tickets! Thank you to everyone who made this happen! Everyone did an amazing job! The food vendors were awesome too!

Good experience, bring cards - they don’t always accept cash. The kids had a great time and there was plenty to do. The guides who talked about fur trading, weaving, etc. were all really fun and knowledgeable. We were there from 11-3 and still hadn’t gone through every area since the kids (ages 4-10) spent a lot of time playing on the playground and at the treehouse outpost. They were filthy, exhausted, and happy. Fell asleep 5 minutes after we left. One major concern was that we found out after arriving that they had recently implemented “cashless weekends”. Since I specifically brought cash for the day, that turned out to be a big problem. The cafe is the only place to eat and wouldn’t take my money. Couldn’t buy balloon ride tickets. If I hadn’t had Applepay, I would have had to leave the entire property and drive elsewhere in Fishers for lunch, which would not have been so frustrating if it had been made clear in advance. I can’t find any mention anywhere of them being cashless on their website. That should definitely be made clear to guests planning a visit. Otherwise, great experience.

Participated in the event of Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s largest, most impactful fundraising event Take Steps to raise funds to accelerate research, advance treatments, and provide programs and support to improve the quality of life for those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Event was on June 14th, 2025 at Conner Prairie, Fishers, Indiana. Although a rainy day but remarkable people attended with rain suites and umbrellas. Very well organized, opened with introductions, speeches and finally a walk. My daughter is a member of this foundation, that make me a proud father.

Me and my boyfriend had a good time at the headless horseman festival! The mozzarella sticks with marinara and witches brew (apple cider) slushy was really good not to mention their baked soft Halloween cookies!! Never had a cookie that melts in my mouth like butter! It was a very cute place to hang out see some interesting shows and eat good food! The regular corn maze was fun! The scary one had just one area of clowns that its not really much to it or scary at all but a good laugh not worth the wait though if there is a line no pop out scares besides one time I think they are low staffed but overall pretty fun to walk through and just vibe. The hay ride cost more it’s not included in the 27 dollar general admission it’s an extra 10 dollars and needs to be reserved which sucked for us because we where looking forward to that experience.

Conner Prairie is an absolute gem for Indy residents! I've started going more often for different programs and events (The Hot Air Balloon Festival is NOT to be missed!) and regret not taking advantage of my proximity to this local Smithsonian-affiliate sooner. Taking my nephews to a birding event there this weekend and we are all so excited!

Lucas Oil Stadium is a state-of-the-art, retractable-roof stadium located in Indianapolis. It serves as the home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and hosts various events including concerts. The stadium has a seating capacity of 67,000 and offers stunning views of the downtown skyline. Visitors can take year-round tours to explore this impressive venue that opened in 2008 and hosted the 2012 Super Bowl.
We were at Lucas oil stadium for gen con and the staff kept everything clean and tidy. I cannot comment on seats as we went for the convention but I would imagine lower level for concerts and games having a great view. We did a D&D session in one of the suite level room and and the area inside was maintained well, comfortable and allowed for a cool view of the stadium. Overall I’m glad the staff was on top of things and keeping the bathrooms clean during a very busy time!

The stadium was great. The blast of air conditioning was a welcome relief from the heat outside. There was some technological issues verifying our tickets that delayed our entry into the building and thereby caused us to miss much of the pregame. Still not sure what happened but eventually all nine of us entered. We were in the back of the mid-level and our view was unobstructed. The toilets were sufficient. The food was as expected.

FFA national convention is hosted there and Evans high school which I teach at, and I am the FFA advisor. This year was our first time going to the national conference. And we really enjoyed ourselves. The stadium is great. This was my first time visiting Indiana and its beautiful. I love the way their landscaping with beautiful flowers and crops. Such as cabbages, different types of lettuce, Swiss Chard. It's just beautiful lavender everywhere.

We went to see the BOA Nat.Championships Finals. It was so cool! The stadium is clean, has nice restrooms, Lucas Oil grill serves pretty good burgers (they also have veggie burgers). Clear bag policy was not enforced. Temperature was fine until the AC started blowing cold air from above after 9 pm. Parking in close proximity for $20 (cash or card).
JitkaKac — Google review
There are a ton of entrances you can’t actually get through. Following the crowd works fine, and security moves quickly once you figure out where to go in. Beers run about $17 for the big cans, and you’re limited to two per person. They’ll ask you to leave a tip—minimum 15% (hard pass)—and claim it goes to some charity.
Onlysterbsli — Google review
Not a whole lot to say about it. It's a stadium. The seats in the club section are very roomy. The standard seats are pretty small. Crowds are usually not too wild. The concessions are reasonably priced for sporting events versus other stadiums. The concessions do get crowded during large events and there is usually a pretty long line. There seems to be plenty of parking.

I recently attended the Bands of America Grand Nationals Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium, a two-day event that was an amazing experience. The stadium is impressively large, with plenty of seating to accommodate the crowds, making it comfortable to enjoy hours of incredible performances. On the first morning, we grabbed coffee at the stadium. I ordered a mocha, and it was pretty good—just what I needed to start the day. Later that evening, we tried the chicken tenders and fries. They were tasty, though I wish there had been a spicier sauce option. They did have sriracha, but it wasn’t quite spicy enough for me. On the second day, we stopped by Maui Wowi and tried the piña colada and lemonade smoothies. They were refreshing, flavorful, and perfect after spending so much time in the stadium. Overall, Lucas Oil Stadium provided a great atmosphere for the championship. With food options, plenty of seating, and an unforgettable lineup of bands, it was a fantastic place to experience such a memorable event. I’d happily return for future performances and events.

It features various amenities such as an arcade, bar & grill, picnic area, and fireworks displays during warmer months. Even non-baseball fans are encouraged to visit for family-friendly experiences like the Knot Hole Kids Club and kids programs.
An inexpensive place to spend the day watching a ballgame. Food prices are fair and the food is pretty good. Souvenir prices are on par with everywhere else. Restrooms were clean and plentiful. The lawn looked like a good place to bring little kids who may not be interested in the game the whole time, plenty of room for them to move around. If you sit in the lawn you can bring food and drinks in. They even have a place for smokers so they don't have to leave the stadium.

What a great day at the ballpark! Found covered parking nearby in a museum garage for $10. Food and drink at the ballpark are plentiful and priced fairly. Clean restrooms. Fun entertainment between innings. A super great day with the Indians baseball team!

Such a great day at the ballpark. I'm originally from San Diego, California, so coming to a smaller ballpark was amazing. I wouldn't think that it would be that great, but my family and I had a lovely time. Not only were the mascots entertaining, but the crowd was so amazing. The food was delicious. Fourteen and under eat free on Sundays. We will definitely be back to watch another game. Thank you, Victory Field, we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Went to an Indianapolis Indians game for the first time and it was great!! Victory Field is beautiful and the game featured the Indians vs. the Iowa Cubs. It was a pitching duel through 10 innings and a 0-0 score then Iowa broke loose for 7 runs in extra innings. The game was well played by both teams. We enjoyed our seats and had some great food from concessions too. Many thanks to all at Victory Field for a great experience!

Zoos & Aquariums
The Indianapolis Zoo, located in White River State Park, is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Spanning 64 acres, it houses over 3,800 animals from various species. Visitors can explore a wide range of exhibits featuring rare and endangered creatures such as white rhinos, Amur tigers, Guinea baboons, red pandas, and Komodo dragons. The zoo offers interactive experiences including live feedings and trainer shows that appeal to all ages.
What’s not to love about the Indianapolis Zoo? Having a membership for two years now, my family has fully experienced all the finest parts of the zoo over and over again. The membership pays for itself after only two visits a year, and we’ve gone at least 10-12 times each year. From ZooBoo to Christmas at the Zoo are the iconic ones, but the times during the weekdays when there are no field trips or herds of children are the best for my part-time home wife. My daughter has fed giraffes, pet kangaroos, had her face painted and ate Dippin’ Dots on her birthday, rode the train, watched dolphins splash her, gave high-fives at the plexiglass at the orangutangs, smelled flowers, asked why Flamingos are pink, and almost has a visual map in her head of the entire park. Have I mentioned she just turned three years old? My son is 9 months old, and he’s had a handful of times already at the zoo, and the amount of experiences the zoo has provided has sustained into our home with imagination zookeeping, making animal noises, reading out of picturebooks her favorite zoo animals, and instead of “Old MacDonald had a farm” it is now “Old MacDonald had a zoo!”. As a former educator for 15 years, I have witnessed students who have had experiences outside of the home greatly enrich their education and their overall social capital. Having my daughter exposed to so much of the world in the middle of the heartland of Indiana, through the Indianapolis Zoo, I know that she will find her passions in helping conserve and create a better world for the next generations with the education she’s learning here. I am inspired to continue inviting her into these spaces, and I look forward to seeing the wanderlust my son will have for these escapades to the jungle and prairie and everywhere in the park. If I could give 10 Google reviews with 5-stars, I would give so much emphasis on how essential it is to get a membership, show up and provide the story of the Indianapolis Zoo to embed into your children, and watch them become fuller with each visit. And you, as the parent of course, can have unlimited soft drinks while you mosey! THANK YOU, Indy Zoo! You have members for life!

What a great experience, went during the week, less crowded. It was our first time at the zoo. It was gorgeous. I loved all the places that you can and just sit and observe the animals. The park was so clean. I can't say enough great things about the staff, they were so kind and offered up all the events coming up at the zoo. You must take the time to visit the chimpanzees and the orangutans. They so much room to move around, you always have to be on the lookout. Love Indianapolis zoo can't wait to go back.

We took the kids to the Indianapolis Zoo during a weekend trip, and it was a great time all around. The place is huge — you could easily spend half a day wandering around without realizing it. We saw all the big hitters: elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, and a bunch of others that I’m pretty sure my kids renamed halfway through (“Look, it’s a long-necked horse!”). We splurged on feeding the giraffes and flamingos, and it was totally worth it — the kids were thrilled, and we got some great photos out of it. We also took them on the little rollercoaster, which they absolutely loved (and which gave us a much-needed break from walking). The dolphin show was definitely the highlight — entertaining, well done, and a nice break from all the walking. The zoo was packed since the weather was perfect and they were handing out candy to kids dressed up for Halloween, so it had a fun, festive vibe (and a sugar-fueled chaos energy). We grabbed some food from one of the stalls expecting the usual overpriced “theme park” meal, but honestly? It wasn’t bad at all. The fries, chicken tenders, and nachos actually hit the spot — maybe we were just starving, but still, solid effort. All in all, 4 stars — great experience, awesome for families, and bonus points for not charging $20 for fries. Just be ready for crowds if you go on a nice day!

I've been to a handful of zoos in my life. The Indianapolis Zoo is my favorite that I've been to. The layout made for a wonderful experience as we moved from one exhibit to another. I also think the gardens and foliage planted along all the exhibits really added to it. We went on a Wednesday in the middle of August. Crowds were light which made for an easy viewing of all exhibits. All the animals were active. Watched the cheetahs chase each other around. Then we were lucky to see them get feed raw meat by the zoo keepers. The dolphin show was fun. The tropical bird and butterfly enclosures were awesome to walk through. I'd highly recommend making this zoo a destination if you visit Indianapolis.

Go now, in October, it is decorated beautifully. I love going. Landscaped and waling layout gives you curvy trails of shade and quiet areas to enjoy seeing the animals. The plants are amazing, such a variety. The front had the cutest Halloween/October themes. If you are a Purdue employee, check out the deep discount, buy it now and use it any day. Everything is just beautiful.

✨ As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love working at the Indianapolis Zoo! Not only are the grounds stunning—with so many unique backdrops that make wedding photos truly magical—but the staff is also incredibly kind and helpful to work with. From start to finish, they were organized, welcoming, and made the day run so smoothly—not just for the couple, but for us vendors, too! There’s something so special about celebrating a love story surrounded by nature, and the zoo offers that in the most beautiful way. It’s a one-of-a-kind venue, and I always look forward to capturing weddings here! Highly recommend for couples looking for a venue that’s both elegant and fun!

Hands down, middle of the week mornings are the best time to go. The Zoo has made so many improvements, and is looking amazing. With that comes the constant construction. However, its is 100% worth the minor inconvenience. If this is your first time considering the Zoo, DO IT ! Definitely top of the list things to do with the kiddos. The outdoor event center is absolutely stunning, and provides an abundance of shade for relaxing under.

I had an amazing time at the Indianapolis Zoo! We booked our tickets online, and it only cost $16 per person totally worth every penny. It’s such a fun and exciting place to visit, especially if you’re taking kids. The entire experience was fantastic and I even filmed an awesome YouTube video here — definitely a memorable day! The dolphin show was absolutely incredible — it’s a must-see! Everything was clean, well-organized, and the staff were super friendly. Just a small tip for visitors: wear comfortable sports shoes because there’s a lot of walking, and dress for the weather, since most of the zoo is outdoors. Highly recommend the Indianapolis Zoo for families, couples, or anyone looking for a fun and educational day out!

Museums
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis stands as a beacon of creativity and learning, proudly holding the title of the largest children's museum in the world. This vibrant destination is packed with interactive exhibits that captivate young minds, from exploring dinosaur bones in Dinosphere to immersing themselves in a recreation of modern Greece complete with charming sidewalk cafes. Visitors can enjoy a delightful ride on a historic carousel or gaze at the stunning 43-foot Dale Chihuly glass sculpture that greets them at the entrance.
From the second you see the gigantic dinosaur cracking the building open from the car, it is an amazing experience. Every floor is absolutely packed with amazing exhibits. Things for children and parents, nostalgia at its best. On top of the amazing and beautiful exhibits, they have so many things for little children to do. The playscape is a life saver for kids who need to get some energy out. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They are so open to nursing mothers and mothers with small babies in general when it comes to feeding, relaxing, changing. 100/10 recommend. I'd go even if I didn't have kids with me.

Very good and large museum for all ages of children. It's interactive and knowledge sharing for children. It's great place to take your children here. You must have enough time in hand to see indoor as well as out door facilities. Nicely made museum.

This was probably the highlight of our trip! We spent 6 hours here and recommend planning for a full day here. We bought tickets in advance and took a look at all the exhibits ahead of time so we weren't overwhelmed on where to start. This museum is great for families with kids of all ages. It is super stroller friendly with the ramp to get from one floor to another. You were never more than a tiny walk to a bathroom, great diaper changing areas, water bottle refills, and benches. The Playscapes area was great for our toddler to run around and burn off some energy. All three of our kids loved the outdoor sports exhibit! They played hockey, baseball, football, basketball, took a lap around the mini speedway, and climbed through the tree! This place has it all. The cafeteria was excellent for lunch and has a highchair. Lots of great learning and core memories made here! Cannot recommend enough!

Great immersive museum for children. There’s areas for babies and under 5 and then areas meant for kids 8-9+ and plenty for adults to see as well. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold so we missed the outside sports area, but it looked very fun. The blown glass sculpture and water clock were were impressive, as were the large dinosaurs inside and outside. Free parking was great, but I wish adult admissions weren’t so expensive or perhaps a discount for second parent to offset the price. It was around $90 for our family of 3. If we lived closer we’d definitely become members.

The 3 little ones and some family really had an amazing time at the Museum. They were able to create(color) their own dinosaur and watch it come to LIFE! They tried the outdoor sports center and went up the huge treehouse! Enjoyed playing music and seeing all of the different exhibits. They had a great time and absolutely LOVED it!
Sabrina J — Google review
The best Children's Museum I've ever been to. They have everything and its hours of fun for every age. We have a membership so we can dig deep in different areas and never feel like we have to do the whole Museum in a day! Every staff member I have ever seen has a smile on their face and is so helpful and caring. When my 3 year old was throwing a tantrum about leaving, several staff members asked if she was ok and if there was anything they could do to help.

Super cool experience and highly recommend! Going on Thursdays at 4 pm will get you a big discount on tickets. Is a great place for children to be children and explore a safe space where everything is touchable.

My family has always wanted to try this museum but the timing never worked out until yesterday! We went on a summer weekday when some Indiana schools were already in session. We went with 4 adults and three kids ages 4, 9 & 11. We bought tickets in advance and parked in the free covered lot. Entry was a breeze and my kids immediately found activities to interest them. We ate at the museum and the food was good (better than many other museums) and very good choices. Prices seemed fine. We were busy from 11-3 and then had to leave but missed two floors! I think my 11yo might be aging out but anyone into sports or solving mysteries would still love it! I would go back! The special Peru exhibit was our favorite, followed by the sports area and the Rube Goldberg Machine.

Newfields, previously known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art, is a sprawling campus that includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Lilly House at Newfields, and the Garden Terrace. The museum features traditional and contemporary fine art, while the Lilly House offers a glimpse into its 1930s appearance when it was home to the prominent Lilly family. Visitors can also enjoy the brand new beer garden at the Garden Terrace.
My husband and I did a date day here, there was so much to see with 4 floors of art exhibits, cafes spaced throughout and the amazing gardens all around the outside. We weren't able to see it all in one trip, and will go back soon. I'd love to visit the gardens in every season. There are lots of walking trails too that we will enjoy another time.

An absolute amazing collection of art from all genres, and all areas of the World. Tons of interactive displays, and the LUME Experience was wonderful. My daughter, and I truly enjoyed the museum. The staff was fantastic, and the building was extremely clean. A great place to take family, friends, clients, dates, etc… I’m so glad we decided to make the trip.

Beautiful Museum set on Lovely Grounds featuring many Walking paths thru a Garden like setting. The Museum has 4 Floors that exhibit various cultural Art works. The 4th floor is currently featuring an immersive experiential exhibit on Australia's indigenous peoples, the Aboriginies. Definitely a must see.

I love this place. It's historic and beautifully decorated. Easily accessed from I-65 it's a wonderful experience to walk through the gardens and grounds. The museum is top notch too but I'm more of an outdoor person so the Newfields gardens and grounds really appeals to me.

I didn't know what to expect and just really loved the museum. I can tell that they've made an admirable effort to include underrepresented artists. I also loved all of the pairings of different art pieces so that I could really think about the pieces and notice new things. This museum is also perfect for children! What an amazing job they've done at helping students cultivate an interest and connect with art. I also had lunch and visited the gift shop and would recommend both.

THE LUME IS COOOL! Digital projections that bring art themes to life! If your somone who wants to experience the colours and see art in a new interpretation this is fascinating! For those with the Access Pass it’s 5.00 per two people. VERY romantic too ! We enjoyed it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Harvest Nights at Newfields Harvest Nights at Newfields is an amazing visual experience that perfectly blends art, light, and atmosphere. The grounds are filled with stunning photo ops, delicious snacks, and tasty beverages — ideal for both families and date nights. The mix of glowing visuals and fun, slightly eerie sounds creates a magical fall vibe that’s both exciting and cozy. Arrive just before dark to catch the full transformation as the lights come alive. Absolutely worth a visit — 5 out of 5!

I went to the garden and felt i got transported to a totally different place, i arrived very late and should have planned it properly beforehand, there is lots to see in the garden, very well maintained and deserves full appreciation to the team who dedicated lots of their efforts. Serene and beautiful, every step feels lighter and you cant stop gazing every where trying to soak it all in. Perfect place for weddings or intimate events or photo shoots.

Located within the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is a haven for racing enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The museum boasts an impressive collection of classic race cars, motorcycles, engines, and memorabilia dating back to the late 1800s. It also features a permanent exhibit showcasing the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich history of racing in Indianapolis and explore winning cars from the renowned Indy 500.
It’s an amazing experience from start to finish. Be sure and take the golf cart tour. Jason was personable and made the tour awesome! The museum is amazing! So many important cars and the building itself is a work of art. The only negative is they need more refreshments due to the amount of time a visitor may spend there. Be sure and talk to the different staff around the museum, they make the visit more informative and some of them have great stories. I highly recommend visiting here whether you e ever watched a race or not.

Wow! The newly renovated floorplan is incredible. The detail and displays are easy to read and purposeful to the history of the track. I felt like I connected to the history of the track through the museum. The movie displays stimulating and felt like I was there. The new STEM/kids area is really for all ages and does an exceptional job bringing the racing experience to your finger tips. Plan extra time for thus area. And the top floor is a tribute to the best of the best showing off race suits and trophies. This truly is a key part of American history as well as the commitment to excellence.

WOW. As a lifelong motorsports fan, I've always enjoyed visiting IMS, though it had been years since I visited the museum. After the recent renovation, this is easily the BEST museum for racing fans everywhere. The exhibits are fantastic, it's spotless and well-laid out, and had a large section for interactive activities (including a bank of simulators)! Best of all though - there was a TON for our young kids to do! A small play area for toddlers, interactive games, and an entire room dedicated to STEAM activities. We got a discount for admission from our local library, but I would have easily paid full price. The IMS staff were so incredibly nice, and were very helpful and chill, even with our crazy 18-month-old running around yelling "CAR!" constantly. Well done, IMS! We will be back!
Cameron C — Google review
Loved it! It's an immersive experience that's well laid out in a modern and very clean facility. For a true racing fan, this is a must-see, especially as it contains so much history and includes not only IndyCar and the Indy 500, but also a NASCAR feature that depicts the history of the Brickyard 400. It is my understanding that the NASCAR display is not a permanent fixture in the museum. However, in my opinion it should be because it features IMS in a broader sense... especially since so many visitors only know it for the Indy 500.
Lauriel — Google review
My husband loved touring the museum and seeing all the cars they have on display. I’m not much of a race fan or car enthusiast but found the history very interesting. We spent about an hour touring all three levels. They were testing on the track while we were there, so no track tours that day, but we plan to come back and actually tour the track via golf cart.
Jess R — Google review
This was one of the best museum experiences of my life with the interactive race car stations and the interactive tire removal and seeing all the assembly disassembly visuals in all of the cars and it’s an absolutely pristine condition. The work that they did inside the place is the best museum quality I’ve ever seen bathrooms were absolutely showpieces not to mention they were clean as all get out and the staff inside the museum either from the museum foundation or the Roger Penske team were just magnificent. You have to go and see this
Edward G — Google review
This place was full of racing history. I loved the short video presentation. Was an emotional experience for me. Took the podium tour and got our picture taken on the victory podium. They have all sorts of race cars and race memoriblia to see. Would recommend this place to any race fan.
LeeAnn A — Google review
This was one of the coolest displays of race cars Ive ever seen. There is so much to look at. They even have interactive displays to change tires and fuel for a simulated pit stop. Also simulated driving is very real feeling. Lots of amazing race cars over the years are in here. Many trophies rings racing suits and helmets. This is a multi level building with so much racing history. If you have a love for Indy car racing this is a must see.

Went here with my mom and 98 year old grandfather. We enjoyed it very pretty and each room is decorated different. The ladies that did the dining room were amazing beautiful decorations our favorite room for sure. It was also great that they had Santa and his work shop on the 3rd floor.

Mansion is spectacular. Staff informative. So much history. The fireplaces and flooring is gorgeous. Chandeliers and all the woodwork shows the awesome craftsmanship that has slowly disappeared throughout time. If in Kokomo definitely make that a stop.

A MUST stop in Kokomo! We enjoyed the house tour - self guided. $10 adults, $5 students. House is accessible by a ramp go the first floor. No access to floors 2 and 3 for wheelchair users BUT there is a lovely video showing the upstairs. The volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable.

My sister in Law brought us here. It is a little gem hidden in Indiana. Freshly made chocolates from scratch, youll find so many options for your budget and your taste. We tried the truffles and they were so good! Def worth the trip!!! Fine delicious chocolates!

Neat. Great chocolates selection. They taste good. Our verdict was above average, but the filled chocolates had a thin or runny consistency. It is not recommended for gluten or nut allergy humans. Prices are elevated. You can see their whole manufacturing setup right inside! Fancy.

I had such a fantastic experience at Donaldson's Finer Chocolates❣️ The employee was incredibly nice and welcoming, making me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. They were super helpful in guiding me through the different options🔥 Speaking of options, there were so many types of chocolates to choose from—dark, milk, white, and some really unique flavors that I’ve never seen before. Everything looked so delicious, it was hard to choose😍 I ended up buying a variety, and each one was better than the last. I also appreciated how clean and well-organized the store was, which made the shopping experience even better😁 I highly recommend stopping by if you’re a chocolate lover or if you’re looking for a special gift🤍 I’m definitely planning to come back soon for more treats. Donaldson's Finer Chocolates is a true gem🤎

oh my god that was such an insane experience. i was so nervous, but the atmosphere the staff created was just so chill. you could tell everyone there loves what they do, and i felt so safe in their hands. i would absolutely do this again, and my instructor Al and photographer Alivia were AMAZING. if you're debating on spending the money for pictures or a video, just do it. it's so worth it, i was sent over 80 photos the same day of the skydive. we originally scheduled for saturday, but they had to cancel our jump because of high winds. they were so quick to help us reschedule for the very next day!

I couldn't have asked for a better instructor! EXCELLENT! Michelle...She was fantastic! Her video and pictures captured my whole experience. Did my first time ever jump Sep 14th. At the age of 76, this was on my bucket list to do. It always seemed to get pushed to the bottom of the list. I now wish I hadn't waited so long. The staff and instructors at Skydive Indianapolis, couldn't have made it any easier or more enjoyable than they did. They were friendly, easy to talk to. But when it came time to harness up, they got serious and extremely professional about what was about to happen. And what happened was and exhilarating jump out of an aircraft at 13000 feet. I could go on and on. But I recommend YOU contact Skydive Indianapolis, try it for yourself. Thank you, Skydive Indianapolis. Job well done.

This was my wife and I's first time. Super nervous but it was like our instructors knew exactly what we needed to here. Mike joked with my wife to calm her down and Hyder gave me crisp instructions. Exactly what we both needed at the time. Everyone there was extremely professional and friendly. We can't thank Mike and Hyder enough for the professionalism and making this trip very memorable. True professionals and leaders of men. Thank you for an amazing day! They need raises!!

Absolutely incredible facility. This place has generational character, and a story that warms the heart. As a place of joy zipping from tree to tree while observing the scenery from within the depths of the wilderness, this family owned business has a knowledgeable and friendly stuff. We never felt rushed and always felt safe and comfortable while on the lines. This was my first time ever, and I was able to overcome my fears. When you first arrive you'll head in and get all the payment and waivers sorted out, you'll then proceed to get geared up, and then get some instruction on the gear, before you head to the first meeting area to gather the group and go over the instructions for zipping. Dylan and Krista were our guides, and took us through a wonderful experience and confidently had us and the group laughing and having fun while sharing stories and getting to know one another. They had mentioned that larger groups can get congested but ultimately encourage everyone to take it all in every chance you get. TYSM to the entire staff and family here at Indiana ZipLine Tours. We look forward to coming back with the rest of our family.

An all around excellent experience. The guides and staff are great. 5 and 9 year olds both had a blast. There are 8 total lines in the course with the 3rd and 8th being the longest and fastest. It uses the contours of the land so there are few stairs.

We arrived 4 hours before our appointment due to travel time, and they allowed us to go as soon as we got there. We went as family of 4, ranging from ages 7 yrs-40+. The first run was scary, because you don't know what to expect. My middle child was hesitant, but after a few minutes went for it! He had a great time!! After the fear of the first line, it's fun, exciting, and almost therapeutic. We had a great time and could have done gone on several more runs. Our guides were Krista and Caden. They are very knowledgeable, kind, funny, encouraging, and comfortable. It's a very clean, organized, and professional set up. I HIGHLY recommend this amazing place!
