The wife and I stopped here while enjoying the evening after dinner visiting Richland. Great park with lots of paved access for wheelchairs and mobility devices. Easy to get near the water. Even at night it was mostly well lit. Certainly an interesting dichotomy with the fancy river cruise boat docked at one end and the homeless resources van at the others. The restrooms were ROUGH and smelled like cheap weed but the overall park was clean and well maintained. We even banged around on the little precision garden next to the playground and it was nice. Lots of folks playing pickle ball and volleyball and the courts were well lit. Totally worth a stop and the history of this land is cool too with the connection to the Manhattan project. On a side note it was nice to see a publicly accessible AED in the parking lot with lots of lights directing you to it.

In town for Art in the Park. Parking was NUTS, but the park is huge and awesome with tons of cool toys and things to do. Plus hundreds of vendors. Will be back next year. Awesome job Richland Parks and Rec team!!

It's a king-sized park that runs along the river. On a hot day it's a fun place to swim. Huge shade trees, green grass, squirrels, and a paved walkway that runs throughout the park. Picnic tables, benches, and really fun looking kids Playgrounds - and there's a wading pool too.

Howard Amon Park is a very large and versatile park with so much to offer, especially for families with children. The playground area is expansive—kids could spend hours here exploring and playing, which is always a good sign (and might even mean an early bedtime afterward!). There’s even a small rock climbing wall where little ones can start learning to climb in a safe environment. At the moment, the water pool is under construction and won’t reopen until summer 2026, but there’s still plenty to enjoy. The park also has a nice little beach area along the Columbia River, perfect for fishing if that’s your thing, though I personally wouldn’t recommend swimming there. The grounds are beautiful, with wide grassy spaces, lots of trees (great for hanging up a hammock), and plenty of shaded spots to relax. There are also picnic areas available to rent for gatherings and special occasions. Overall, this is one of the most robust and well-rounded parks I’ve ever visited—perfect for families, events, or just enjoying the outdoors.

We love this park! One of the best parks in the USA in my opinion! Love vending here for Art in the Park festival with my business THE WAVY BUNCH! Lots of shade, fun playgrounds, soft grass & great swimming!

I truly enjoyed my time at the park. It was snowing, very cold, deserted, and so beautiful. The world was hushed with snow. The only sounds were the birds chattering on the river. I look forward to seeing the sunrise next time I visit. Do be aware that I spotted a rare venomous tundra squirrel. Don't turn your back to it and show no fear as it can sense such things.

This whole place is beautiful. The wading pool is my son’s absolute favorite. The boat is beautiful. The water is beautiful. The park is nice and clean.

Stopped here to do a wine tasting and wound up staying for lunch and then coming back for their monthly three course dinner later in the evening. The wine was some of the best we tasted in the Red Mountain area, and the food was just as spectacular. Katie who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and told us so much about both the wine and the region as well as how things are grown. She provided excellent wine recommendations and also let us compare and contrast some of the different wines which really made for a great tasting experience. If I lived in the area I would definitely come back often for both the food and the wine, but we had to settle with ordering some to be shipped home.

We had the Ceasar salad and chicken. The dressing was not terrible but was put on a little heavy and needed just a little more zest to it to be very good. We also had the Giacomo pizza, which was very good. It had very good ingredients and was cooked nicely. Lizzy had the Albarino and seemed to enjoy it a lot. Overall prices are not terrible for a vineyard but are on the pricier side but not a terrible value. We We definitely come back on occasion.

We booked a tasting followed by a reservation for their Thursday night happy hour. The facility is very very nice, with Italianate decorations and patio. The wines were some of the best in the area, as well as plenty of different types to try. The food was SO so good too! I felt like we had really lucked out on booking at this winery, and I don't feel like we could have gotten better food anywhere else in the area. The Divola pizza was divine! Our server was very kind and personable, which is always appreciated. She answered all of our questions and never made us feel neglected or rushed. The owner of the winery was present behind the bar that night and opened up wines not on the menu so that we could have extra tastings, which made us feel very special. I will definitely come back again, and specifically book the Happy Hour too! I am very appreciative to have found this winery!

Tami and Katy were the best! They were so kind and personable. Additionally, the charcuterie board was the best we have ever had and bonus because they also had local draft beer which my fiancée enjoyed. They had a great selection of white estate wines to choose from. The arch terrace Chardonnay did not disappoint.

Loved this gorgeous winery! The view is absolutely breath taking. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends as this place gets very busy. They have an onsite kitchen and is a very popular spot for wine and lunches. They are dog friendly on the patio only. You get to taste about 8 wines for $30 Or fee is waived with a purchase of any two bottles. Tasting did not disappoint from their whites to red. They have a variety for all taste buds. I loved all their Cabs. They have a mix of 100% Cab to some with Merlot and Cab Franc. All were delish and as I was tasting I kept thinking of food items these would pair well with. Of course we purchased half a case variety of red wines. Venue is super clean, great vibe and super friendly staff. Darcy and Alex were both amazing. We will definitely be going back here when in the area.

Alex H.was our waitress, and Chef Dan was our cook. When we arrived, we were seated appropriately. The wine tasting was interesting. Then, YES! My order was running late (food ).Ok stop! Here comes the Five stars. I expressed it was best to get the bill, and move on... NOPE! They took it to the next level and as light as they are with staff, they came through in a clutch.

We didnt get to do the tour due to unavailability and had to contend with the wine testing. First thing first - beautiful location. Felt like an Oasis when we went in. Beautiful views. Coming to wine testing - nice flavors (I am not a big wine lover, but liked the different tastes/wines they had). They charged $30/head. That would have been waived off, had you gotten two bottles of wines from them. Since I am not a big wine drinker, i opted for the tasting. They have cheese and crackers, which we need to buy and they would serve it for you. Our hostess was patient and clear while explaining each one before pouring. We didnt get food here, but i saw food being served to a table. I would definitely recommend this place if you wanted to do some wine tasting.

Visited 6/27. Had to knock to be let in a few minutes after 11. Two young women were ringing up people in safety vests(employees?) one after the other. After about 5 minutes of waiting at tasting bar, one of them asked if we were there for a tasting and we answered, yes. She stated she would be right with us and continued ringing up these vested people. After another 5 minutes of being ignored, we left. We had been regular drinkers of your wine, and had looked forward to this tasting. However, due to your employees' rude behavior, you have lost us as customers.

Nice winery with a lot of character, despite being like a corporation (watch the trucks with grapes come and go). Make sure to go down the stairs and see the cellar with all the cases. The tasting room is very comfortable, enough space to taste and browse the wines. Prices of the wines are very reasonable.

This place is unbelievable great place to visit and take a tour you will not be dispointed at all.

Beautiful grounds and a very nice tasting room with friendly employees. Visited during the Spring Barrel weekend and were fortunate enough to be able to go down into the cellar to taste wine from the barrels. Nice selection of items for sales including some cheese and other snacks.

We had the best time at Columbia Crest Winery today in the tasting room with Vicky,. She made our day by being so welcoming, joking around with us and being so informative! She even got us some cheese and crackers to go with the tasting! We shared how much we were looking forward to our visit, but had been worried of our delay during the drive to the winery from the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, as it was much farther than we were thinking and it took so long to get there that we didn’t arrive until 4:30, just having discovered that they closed at 5 pm while we were on the way! Upon arrival we thought we would be rushed through the tasting experience at this, our favorite overall winery, after coming from Philadelphia to visit while in Washington. But nothing could have been further from that as she showed us numerous wines and even gave us an individual tour of the vine cellar and a tasting from a barrel during fermentation! She shared her Columbia Crest story with us and even took a picture with us! In the end we were there for over an hour and we would have never known that she and a few of her colleagues were staying to make our experience so special! What a wonderful representation of Columbia Crest she was! Congratulation to Columbia Crest for having a great staff member to represent your business!! Highly recommend others touring this beautiful winery!

I'm going to be honest, I was a bit leery because it was such a big corporation winery. But it was actually a great experience. First of all $5 for 4, 5 tastes? Awesome. Second, the chateau they had was incredibly classy but approachable. Third, the attendant at the bar was incredibly nice, easy to talk to, and poured us drinks we were curious about, even if they were off the list. Good times and nice vineyard to walk around.

A fantastic and pleasing place to visit.

Planned a private wine tasting with my girls to catch up and drink wine. They even helped out with creating a charcuterie board to sample with the wines. Overall, a great experience and a beautiful place. Shame it was raining, would have loved to walk around but the scenery was breathtaking. Will be visiting again during my next visit.

Beautifully set up. Art, painting, dolls, so much. My interest is indigenous of the USA, my own heritage. So much to see and the museum had so much respect. I was quite proud. .ost impressed by the bead work, holy cow, wish I had the patience and spiritual stamina. The chess collection is awesome

This is a destination museum in a breathtaking setting. The collection seems to be personal and varied, but that gives it a unique personality. The setting gives you room both physically and intellectually to give you a chance to examine and enjoy each collection in a way quite different than if it was in a metropolitan museum. Taking time outside between galleries allows you to go freshly into a new experience.

This is a great museum and has many different things to see. The different exhibits are interesting and eclectic. Definitely worth the visit.

2 Rodin rooms. 2 rooms of Post-war Parisian fashion designer miniatures. 1 large indigenous artifact room. Location is stunning.

I wasn’t expecting how large the art museum was. There is a lot of art to look at, not just the chess sets. There is also a cafe but we didn’t try it when we were there. The staff were also super friendly. It’s worth the trip.

Amazing little museum in the middle of nowhere with some great pieces. The Rodins, Theatre de la Mode and Native American pieces were especially impressive. Spectacular views of the gorge too.

For myself, and my friend we were not big fans of the wine tasting. Only because the wine was more on the sweeter side. The patio is however very lovely and was nice even on a warm windy day. I actually was glad to be able to try wine and not have to hear someone tell me about what mountainside they got it on. I was able to converse with my friend while sipping wine and looking at that gorgeous view. The only other drawback for me was the decimal of the rap music they were playing. I'm giving this place 2 stars mainly for location.

I don't know which I like better - the wine or the view! Thankfully when you visit you don't have to choose, you get both. The wines are really good. The tasting bar is beautiful and has plenty of space for many tasters at once. The servers are always friendly and attentive even though they are juggling many customers - the place always seems pretty busy! I always enjoy the tasting, but what really makes the visit superb is buying a glass to enjoy on the patio. The views are incredible! This trip was unique for us as there was a layer of snow amid the vines and snow on the hillsides around the Columbia - just amazing. I had a limit of one bottle per winery stop during this trip as we were travelling in our Truck Camper and we have to be aware of the vehicle weight.... and then oops.... we bought 2 cases, where is that going to go? We will visit again soon!

The first face we saw was very friendly. She greeted us with a warm friendly welcome. Unfortunately, she was off shift, leaving and it went down hill from there. We had to go seek service inside as we wanted to be seated outside. Finally got acknowledged. We ordered a taste of wine flights. The wine was good but here's the thing, we go wine tasting a lot. We're wine members at some nice wineries and Maryhill in Goldendale is as good but certainly not better. I think 60.00 dollars for a bottle of a blend is a little much. Nice atmosphere, beautiful setting however, it looks like birds may own this winery instead of people. There were bird droppings everywhere outside, on the floor, on the steps, on the railings. I'd suggest sitting inside if you visit. Overall, good but not great. Possibly a tad overrated, overpriced.

Amazing, dramatic setting! Good service and wine. We had the Caesar salad, which was actually pretty good with a house made extra garlicky dressing. The “forest mushroom” pizza was a disappointment, however, as there were virtually no mushrooms on it. Basically more of a flat bread with a lot of roasted garlic.

Have been a regular visitor here for many years. Today's visit very disappointing. After 15 minutes of waiting, we finally ordered our own wine inside. Another 15 minutes and we had to track down a server for our food order. The server first took the order from an adjacent table who arrived well after we did. Yes, they were busy, but there are about 20 tables and 3 servers. No excuse for a 30 minute wait for service. It will be a long while before we head that way again.

One of the best pizzas we have had. The spinach dip was delicious! Beautiful views and very friendly staff! Wine was amazing as well - as expected!!! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable experience!!

I was very impressed by this museum. It feels very authentic and true to the history of Oregon. It goes really deep in to exploring how people moved to the west and developed industries. We learned a ton and it was a great family experience for everyone. Highly recommend. It’s one of the better if not the best history of Oregon museum I’ve been to.

We had the chance to spend the night at this location thanks to HarvestHost, even though the museum itself was temporarily closed due to the fires. Despite the closure, we took the opportunity to wander the grounds, where many structures and statues remained untouched by the flames. Unfortunately, the surrounding landscape had mostly been scorched, and smoke lingered in the air from fires now burning just across the river. Nevertheless, we were grateful for the experience and it served as a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting our natural spaces and practicing fire safety.

Superb museum with a great design and a lot of educational displays. They also have a kids area and they were letting all kids do a museum scavenger hunt. Worth visiting and hope to come back again.

Absolutely beautiful museum! I was shocked at how big and detailed it was. From the geology of the gorge to the native people to the county of Wasco history. Really cool rooms and “sets”. I went alone and am a reader and spent about an hour and half looking at everything. $12 for an adult ticket, is well worth it!!

Absolutely delightful!! The staff (Hannah in particular) were so thoughtful and went out of their way to make our visit successful and memorable. We had a great time and loved the ice age exhibit. We even learned some things we didn't already know! They had loaner wheelchairs and the exhibits and pathways were easy to navigate with a chair.

What a wonderful museum! Lots of interactive activities and tons of information.

They have 2 lovely rescued bald eagles that they take care off, and if you re lucky you can find their silky soft down feathers that they shed as a souvenir!

Been using this crew for a decade, although the owner of the original High Desert River Outfitters Co. Has passed and since has been bought out by Raft California I will try to support the new crew with continued dedication.

This is a company that has been in the business a long time and definitely knows what they are doing. Outstanding customer service, COVID compliant and some of the best guides available. The guide for our day trip was Zach Williams and not once did I question the safety of the hands we were in. Several other guides and rafters we encountered along the trip confirmed it by telling us "He's the best guide out here". Multiple trip options to choose from and the experience will be as tame or daring as you and your group chooses. It was so much fun and the pictures the company photographer took really captured it. My group and I are looking forward to the next one. I could not recommend this business more!

Did a half day trip, with Jim as our guide, and it was probably the best rafting trip I have been on (even though I got tossed out of the boat). Just a fun trip, and we will be coming back for a full day for sure.

We participated in the 3 day 2 night rafting/camping trip on the Lower Deschutes River. It was an amazing experience. Truly, the memories will last a lifetime!

My family (wife and two teenagers) were excited as well as apprehensive about white water rafting, that is until they met our guide, Kirk. Kirk, his positive energy and high level of skill truly made our trip one to remember. Our son is autistic and while he enjoys adventure, we thought this might be pushing the envelope. Nope. Kirk caught on fast and made sure to help our son feel capable, included and best of all, Kirk made sure Connor had a great time. We can't wait to head back next summer! Hopefully we get Kirk again.

I've never been whitewater rafting before, but this trip will definitely make me a regular! I plan to go back every summer now! Our guides were amazing and the Groupon price was a steal.

Went this past Friday and was treated to an entire days worth of rafting and a great lunch. The entire staff was friendly and fun. Be prepared to jump off rocks, swim down the “swimmers rapids”, and raft into a refreshingly crisp Deschutes River! Our guide Amanda was incredible. She made the trip one to remember. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first ever rafting trip, though I went with some friends and their kids who have gone a handful of times. Our guide, Pippa, made it the most amazing first experience! She was professional and safe but also funny and personable. Her ‘dad jokes’ were very entertaining and she had so much cool information and history to share with us about the river and surrounding area! I’m glad that she was the one to introduce me to white water rafting, and now I’m hooked! Can’t wait to go back! :)

We went with River Drifters last month and had such an amazing time with Cole as our guide that we HAD to return when my father in law visited from Germany. He had a blast too! The guides are fun and provide every group a unique and memorable experience. We had a rather large group, so email communication was needed to arrange accordingly. The group is very responsive and super helpful. 10/10 will go again!

We've drafted on the Deschutes River before but with other outfitters. This time we used Riverdrifters. From start to finish, the Reservation process, their pricing, their thorough communications until our day to raft were very reasonable, professional, and informative. Yesterday was our day on the River and, once again, Riverdrifters was awesome! Our guide, Chris, was very safety-oriented, knowledgeable, fun, and navigated all of the rapids with excellent execution. The lunch provided was excellent ( the cookies were the bomb!) Highly recommended for your next trip!

This was such a fun experience for a wide age range. The guides are friendly and patient. They also build time in for people to take swims if they like. There were plenty of jaunty class 3s that I couldn’t capture pics of. It’s exciting and relaxing, all in one half day trip. Definitely worth it. Just beware food choices will be slim out here. But the Imperial Hotel has a beautiful back patio with decent food.

Amazing trip! Jose was the best guide—fun, clear, and kept us safe while still bringing the excitement. Favorite part hands down was the Big Thrill Swimmers Rapid—absolutely unforgettable! Highly recommend rafting with Jose.

I went on 2 full day trips in July, and just got back from a 3 day camping raft trip. The day trips were great despite having done this run many times each of the day trips were a different experience, the guides are fantastic and make the trips so much fun. Once I had Johnny and I can’t say enough about how good he was, so smart and funny and sweet! The next time it was Walker who was the guide, he was also great, I swear I can’t recall laughing like I did that day! But the camping trip was the absolute best! RiverDrifters communicate well and all is well organized. The guide Haven is just fabulous, knowledgeable, considerate and you always feel safe. He is just a wonderful person all around, we also had Wilson, and it is truley amazing the things he gets done, he takes all the gear down the river ahead of us and finds the most perfect camp sites and has things set up! He is the man behind the scene that without him… it just wouldn’t work!! If you are looking for a great river experience go with RiverDrifters!!

We had such an amazing time. Our guide Chris was a lot of fun but also very accommodating for my husband who has some hip issues. Very knowledgeable about the history and wildlife and was very safe. We will definitely be back!!!

Fantastic train ride! Really well organized from start to finish. The train ride wasn’t too long at all, the scenery was gorgeous, the stop at the Fruit Company & the winery was so fun! Cannot recommend enough!

Our group of four, (ages ranged as young as 12 to 35), had such a great time riding the train carts. Our host, Krissy was super funny, pleasant, and knowledgeable. We felt safe and had such a fun time. We stopped at the Fruit Company and checked out Mt Hood Winery during our excursion. The children are allowed in the winery, and we enjoyed the stunning view of Mt Hood as we relaxed before our journey back to the train station. The staff were kind and so helpful. We highly recommend checking them out! It’s a perfect summertime adventure.

The rail bikes were a great experience! A pretty awesome way to check out the area and get to the fruit company! Staff was awesome the whole way around Krissy was very entertaining throughout even when we failed the quiz! Gotta make sure to studdy up! :)

We had the chance to go on the rail bikes and my friend and I had an amazing time. The tour Guide was amazing and funny. Lots of good jokes and riddles. The Rail bikes were really fun and the views were beautiful. We got lucky and had a bright sunny day that was not to hot or cold. Though id love to go during a gloomy day and see the different scenery during that time. It was easy to ride. Peddling was fun and at times tough but the electric motor helped a lot. Overall, we had an amazing time and would LOVE to come back!

My son got a gift card to the railroad for his birthday & we went on the fall train ride. We had an incredible time! I would say if you have a busy kid then I would bring activities to do on the train & pack snacks. I do love that you can bring your own food & bevs. They do have snacks, food & beverages (NA & alcoholic) for purchase on the train which was fun to have a mimosa as you’re looking at beautiful scenery. The stop at the fruit company & winery was well worth it! The taco truck at the winery was so freaking good! I would definitely do it again but maybe without kiddos. We had a good time with the kids but I would definitely be able to take a lot more in without a 3yo & 6mo. 10/10 5 stars, very good time nonetheless.

Visiting Portland Oregon. This is a Must visit spot !! We had an awesome experience. On this journey. The staff was very kind and attentive. The train itself interior and exterior very well-maintained seats are very comfortable. Also, the fact that you get to visit their personal Vineyard 🍇 and Warehouse , learned a little bit about the history. Got to taste some really good pears 🍐 Overall, a great experience!!

The train ride was fun! The destination was simply another gift shop, a quick wine tasting and a hidden taco food truck. Suffice to say the 45 minute stop was disappointing. Nothing there for kids. The train staff and the ride was great though!

We arrived for their annual Fly-in. It is always an excellent event. The museum itself is phenomenal. The variety of airplanes, antique cars and various other collections are mind boggling but, incredibly well curated, so not too overwhelming. Their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. On the fly-in weekend, anywhere from 200 - 400 vintage airplanes fly in from all over the country. There are some flight demonstrations, author talks, you can pay to fly in a vintage airplane, plus lots more exhibits, food and souvenirs. The museum is worthy of a visit any time but, during the fly-in it is extra wonderful.

Amazing museum with stuff 100+ years old that still works! We spent close to 2 hours here and loved every minute of it. Kudos to the great volunteers who staff this museum. If you're nearby or traveling through the Columbia Gorge, definitely pay a visit.

Very nice place to visit. We really enjoyed seeing so much planes, cars and a OTHER items and occasional videos to watch in the hangers. I really liked that most ALL the pieces and cars and such are in exquisit PRESTINE condition. _ like WOW!!!!. A few Things I wasn't very happy about; 1. that they are quite PRICEY. $25 for adults, like $21 for military or active duty people or seniors and 18_ under is like $12. EACH. no family mates, no EBT discounts. Nothing! 2. For the amount they charge, i would THINK that there shouldn't have to be big old drip pans under all the equipment. ESPECIALLY with some of them have obviously been leaking pretty bad. Thry Charge so much, but cant at a bare minimum clean the drip pans so there isn't so much contaminant around. It does detract from the wow of the pieces. 3. While looking around, the " volunteer" guys in the scooters kept coming around. OK_ they already tell you "if you need something or have a question to flag them down and they will be happy to answer any queations..." I DONT have any questions you don't have to b_line for me every time you go down the rows and point out something or make some comment about a piece. YES it IS very cool!! BUT- unless I (ASK) for info or such, i dont need someone tailgating me_ like you have to check on us like were DOING or "TOUCHING" something. It seriously takes a negative toll on the experience. At the same time; at one point my children were really Awing over an electric car from like over 100 years ago; the volunteer came over and pulled back the chain did a bit of describing and let my kids get a much closer view of the car interior, that was pretty cool!

This was really cool. You can get lost in all of them. I only covered 1/3 of the items. In two hours. Lots to see. And a great bbq food cart, highly rated. And if you really want to go up in a triplane you can. Good family fun!!!!

This is the most complex museum I've been to. It's easier to ask "what don't you have!" A Deusenburg one docent told me! You have to experience this place. Be prepared to spend a couple hours if not more. We came across this place accidentally and were totally blown away!

Huge selection of aircraft and autos, mostly early 20th century. Fascinating, also liked the multiple videos available to watch. Highly recommend at least a few hours to enjoy it.

Got to experience the fly in event and it was amazing. Talking to pilots seeing the exhibits and the behind the scenes of the restoration processes. I highly recommend this museum.

Absolutely beautiful. The Visitor Center has basic amenities, and theres a restaurant & coffee stand as well. You can walk/hike as far as you want, path is clearly paved and is suitable for all ages, depending on where you stop. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Beautiful waterfalls and views are amazing. I went on a very rainy Saturday in November. Multnomah Falls was very busy and you had to pay to park. The rest of the falls had very few people around them and plenty of parking.

Breathtaking views just a short drive from Portland The Columbia River Gorge is a stunning natural escape that's surprisingly easy to reach from Portland. It's perfect for a half-day getaway. The scenic drive alone is worth it, with dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and endless panoramic views of the river cutting through the landscape. We especially appreciated how accessible many of the viewpoints and trailheads were. you don’t need to be an expert hiker to enjoy the area. Multnomah Falls is iconic, but there are plenty of quieter spots along the way too. It gets a solid 4 stars from us only reason for not giving 5 is the occasional crowding near the most popular stops. Still, it’s absolutely a must-see when visiting Portland.

Totally worth it! However parking was at a premium! We finally found parking at the Horsetail Waterfall. This is an easier and shorter hike. Very enjoyable. Stunning views!

Absolutely stunning. The last couple of weeks before the school starts, it's very crowded. But we did enjoy the beauty so much.

The path is well maintained, with a great balance of gentle rides and more challenging stretches for those wanting a bit of adventure. The mix of fresh air, natural beauty, and peaceful rhythm of the ride makes this trail unforgettable. Whether you’re a serious cyclist or just out for a scenic ride, the Gorge biking trail is pure Oregon magic.

A beautiful site with plenty of trails to explore. Really worthwhile, despite the busy-ness. If you’re coming from Portland, I recommend getting the first CAT Gorge Express & making Multomah your first stop before continuing down the valley throughout the day (getting the CAT to successive stops).

5 stars does what a mountain is supposed to do. Tall beautiful surrounded by forests and water.

It stands out very clearly as a background to Lake Trillium some 55-60 miles from Portland. Most of the time it’s laden with great snow and looks golden when sun is shining.

In October 2022, the four of us—dad, mom, me, and mom’s mom—took a scenic drive to Mt. Hood. We didn’t hike, but viewing the mountain from the car was still incredible. The peak was majestic, rising above forests of autumn-colored trees, and the crisp October air made the scenery feel even more vivid. It was a peaceful way to enjoy the natural beauty without leaving the car, and the drive offered several pull-offs to pause and take in the panoramic views. Even just seeing Mt. Hood from the road made for a memorable family outing.

Always wanted to visit Mount hood and Timberline Lodge and was extremely lucky to visit on a recent holiday to Oregan not many times do I get lost for words but this place is extraordinary taking photos and videos doesn't do the place justice the trees the sky the environment is breath taking I'll definitely return one day and is one place I recommend

Splendid, Awesome. You must go there when you visit Portland Qregon area around. People were playing ski during late June season. White snow capped huge mount all year round.

From hikes around the mountain, to scenic views Mt hood is perfect for a weekend getaway. I highly recommend going during the summer/fall months before the snow comes!

It's a good place to see the snow mountains in summer and camping. The lake below the snow mountain is very beautiful, you can paddle inside to relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the snow mountains. It seems to be much cooler in summer time, a good place to get out of hot summer. The camping site was very quite.

Know before you book... None of the rooms have... coffee pots, mini fridge, microwave, or a normal sized TV (ours was a 17" monitor). The toilets are industrial style, so when someone flushes next door you'll hear it and it WILL wake you up regularly, thus the complimentary ear plugs provided in each room. On our queen bed, was a twin sized thick feather mattress topper. While I was continually poked by feather quills, my boyfriend was half way sleeping on a ledge due to the pad being twin sized. "Rustic" is a very kind word for the tiny room. It doesn't seem any updates have been done in at least 40 years. The old furnishings didn't bother me, but expect thrift store quality and a rotary dial phone. The complimentary breakfast from 6-9:00 a.m. consists of coffee and small pastries, (no eggs, bacon, pancakes stuff). Recommend stopping at a grocery store for nonperishables prior to coming or you're gonna be stuck with super expensive food at this lodge. These rooms are waaay overpriced for what you get. We won't be back. Beautiful location, staff was decent, terrible lodging value.

Absolutely one hell of a beautiful place highly recommended because of it being in the off-season in the rooms were a little bit cheaper than normal but if you look at everything within 100 mile radius, it was very comparable as far as price goes but you get so much more of a view And such ambience The cascade dining room was absolutely amazing. The food, the quality the people there were extremely helpful and for any shining fan this is a must go. also with your room you get vouchers for breakfast, which is by far amazing

A mixed review for Timberline Lodge. Location is superb, a breathtaking view of Mt Hood in fair weather, great ski lodge, and a brisk Alpine hiking site in the fall. The history of the WPA work is fascinating. But.. it's ageing not well. Rooms are noisy, bathrooms tiny and the television is the size of a laptop. Food at the flagship Cascade Restaurant was overpriced and overly cute.

This place is rustic and we like it that way. The couches around the fire are the same ones I've been napping on for years and I hope it never changes. I love the vintage appeal it's completely what keeps me coming back. It's a familiar comfortable setting that feels like you are welcomed.The staff are good ol' Oregon folk. Usually a mix between locals that have been there forever or young kids who love having the benefit of a ski pass included while working there. Everyone is kind in all the buildings on all the property. I love this lodge. Please please never sell out 🙏

One of our go-to places in the Northwest. The lodge is amazing with the massive 3 story fireplace and colossal natural wood columns on the inside providing an awe inspiring, unique and familiar lodge experience. When the sun is out the lodge provides unrivaled views of the mountain. Natural log fires continually burning and many spots to cozy up make this a quintessential lodge experience. The rooms bring you right back to the early days of skiing, most designed to be a small shared space seemingly only for sleeping while you spend the rest of your days hitting the slopes or relaxing in the lodge. Super kid friendly and dogs too I believe. Would definitely recommend for a truly wonderful mountain experience. Taught my daughter how to ski here also, great terrain for everyone!

We did not stay at the lodge but we went in and visited looked at some of the artifacts that are there. Got to see the chair that FDR sat in when they dedicated the lodge. Unfortunately the day was very foggy and rainy so we could not see them out but highly recommend the drive up to see the lodge.

My husband and I were only able to reserve a 2 twin bed small room. It is August 27 and still warm outside. It was 83F today. There is no air conditioning in our room. There is a fan. It does not oscillate. We did ask for another fan, but they didn’t have any more available. We did find a screen and opened our window. The room is about as small as a single dorm room. There is only 1 chair. There is no place to put our luggage. We had to grab clothes from our luggage in our car and put in a tote bag to bring in along with a toiletry bag. The room/bathroom is clean enough. Food: expensive as we expected. Limited menu items. I ordered chili but crackers would be $4 more. The chili was good. We ordered the warm cookie with ice cream and it was delicious. We rode up the Magic Mile Sky Ride and that was fun! A cute little chipmunk came out and another tourist fed it chips. So cute!

We had an excellent time at this aerial adventure park! Our guide was amazing and the course itself was challenging but very enjoyable! My son, who is nonverbal, had an absolute blast! The views are amazing! I highly recommend!!

My partner and I ziplined for the first time and it was a blast! We arrived early (recommend) and were warmly greeted by Shane upon checking in. From there on out, Stan and Jack guided us through this amazing experience with safety talks, proper zip lining techniques, combined with their easy going fun personality and infectious humor. We drove in from Portland, stayed the night at Skamania Lodge. I would highly recommend this adventure and any others they offer, due to the incredible staff! Thank you for making my birthday special 🎉❤️❗

My husband and I were looking for a weekend to get away and happened to run across Skamania Lodge in our Google search. besides the fact it was a beautiful drive to the lodge, the lodge itself was more than what we could have hoped for. we were amazed at how many activities were available and decided to try zip lining for the first time. We had an absolutely awesome time! We love the restaurants at the lodge and the staff was friendly and helpful. We plan on coming back and trying out the glamping tents next time. Would highly recommend this to our friends

Aerial obstacle course took about an hour before we were done, zip line took hour and a half. Good guides.

We got married on 9.20.2025 and spent a few days in Carson. My husband surprise me with something I had wanted to do for many, many years. This zipline experience was so much fun. Even though im afraid of heights but have always wanted to do it. Our guides made it so much fun, easy and im so happy I did it. I truly recommend doing the zipling it is well worth it.

My husband and I were in the gorge for the week and wanted to do something a little adventurous. The zip line tour was fantastic. Our trip guides were funny, kind, supportive and made the whole experience a blast. I’m very grateful we chose an off hours time to visit because having a group of 5 and not 10 made a big difference. All of the zips were a blast and made you feel like you were flying. We felt safe and well cared for. Having the extra pictures (despite the high price) was a great bonus. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

My wife and I had an amazing adventure with the E-Bikes for our first anniversary. The bikes were fairly priced for what you get and provided a lot of fun. We enjoyed riding around the area, crossing the Bridge of the Gods, and exploring the fish hatchery. It was an unforgettable experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unique way to explore the area.

Hiking through Oneonta is one of my most favorite memories ever. There's an abundance of beauty, peace, and bliss here. Pro tip: thi hike itself is very short but the rocks are very slippery and there are fallen logs that are scary and can be dangerous. So make sure you have the right shoes and are prepped for the trail. The water is super cold but you get used to it.

The Oneonta Gorge is closed indefinitely due to the Eagle Creek fire and other factors. This should be stated on the top of this page. "Closed Indefinitely" in red.

The trail through the gorge is still closed 4/27/23 but you can see the gorge from above if you take the 1 mile hike up the mountain.

Amazingly beautiful area! There is a short but fairly steep hike up the left side of the stream with some great photo spots. To the right is a 0.2 mile paved trail that leads up to a bridge with a spectacular view. Also, another benefit is free parking here and a 0.5 mile hike/walk to Multnomah Falls (where parking is $20).

I was here on October 8th. From this spot, where parking is for free, you can do a 5 mile loop ending at Multnomah falls then walk back to this parking lot, like 5-10 minutes. This 5 mile loop is very pretty and has a number of falls. The only issue with it is that you'll keep hearing the traffic. But this way is easier than starting at Multnomah where a steep ascend is needed. I spent 4 hours here but people can finish it way faster.

We recently visited Wahkeena Falls in Oregon, and our whole family absolutely loved it! The trail is beautiful, the views are amazing, and it’s the perfect spot to enjoy nature without a long hike. The area has plenty of peaceful places to sit, making it a great spot for a family picnic , we brought lunch and it was one of the highlights of our trip. One thing to note: the restroom near the trailhead was closed, likely because of the season. It wasn’t a big issue for us, but good to know ahead of time. Overall, Wahkeena Falls is a wonderful place to relax, explore, and enjoy the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge. Highly recommend for families looking for a scenic and memorable outdoor experience!

This place is amazing. These were the last waterfalls we visited on our Oregon photography tour. I am sure glad we didn't skip this place. These were the most photogenic waterfalls that we saw on our trip. There were quite a few people, but adequate parking was available down the hill and there was scenery right in the parking area and all around. Surprisingly there aren't any fees charged to hike around this place. You can pretty much find the perfect angle to get any camera shot you want.

Beautiful fall but hard to get a good photo of entire thing due to formation. No hiking involved. You can park here and walk on trail to all the other popular falls, like Multnomah, since parking is tougher in the other popular falls.

My friend says this is her favorite. I believe Multnomah Falls was better overall. But there is a short hike and limited access here so you can't really sense the powerful presence of the waterfalls. But you should take a look.

This is just another gorgeous fall along the Columbia River gorge. You can see some of it at the base. But best to hike up about a quarter of a mile. .25 miles. You can see some of the river as it comes down thru the bushes and trees and rocks. If you hike up the .25 Mike's to the bridge, you get a gorgeous view of the falls. If you are doing photography, be prepared for the mist. Take image from the left side of the falls a littlw bit back. You will be outside the mist. Images also from the right If you are a little bit back. But love the images I got right by the bridge on the right side. Yea mist from the fall. You can keep hiking and find fairy falls. Next time I will do that hike. This is worth the time. If coming from Portland take the Bridal Veil Falls exit and keep going on historic route 30 for about 2.5 miles. There is a good amount of parking and a picnic area and bathrooms. If you keep going another mile or 2 you will hit Multnomah falls.

A great place to view the gorge looking east and on the way to Crown Point you can see for miles I didn't take it but there is a trail rated "easy" in the media to the gorge floor. There must be lots of switchbacks to be easy.

Online can destroy gems like this, many people stop here because it's the first overlook in the tithe Gorge. My favorite time to go when there's 3 inches or more of ice on everything! No one around!

Have never stopped here before, but road to Crown Poont was closed so...nice viewpoint, plenty of parking, a few of the info plaques around-worth the few minutes it takes!

It has a remarkable overlook view of the river. We also met some ladies painting.

Historical value in addition to the gorgeous view. Visited in the end of June and it was stunning. What a great place to bring a camera! Perfectly quiet, sunny and no wind. View of the Vista house makes for a great photo opp. Drive safe, the road is like a coil up from I-84. As always, pack it in-pack it out. Do not leave your Starbucks cups behind (or any other trash). Marker has historical significance. (See videos).

I couldn't find the trail at first, and I was surprised you have to pay to park here. Next time, I'll park further away to avoid the fee. The "trail" is more like a bike trail, similar to the springwater corridor in Portland. The park itself is quite nice and well maintained. It was crowded when I went, on a sunday evening.

We love coming here to ride bikes. My children attended a birthday party. There are great trees for hanging pinatas and the covered areas were perfect for the party. They can be reserved, or fcfs basis. In the summer we like to play in the small water park. Some people swim here, I wont let my children as the water quality is questionable.

I've been coming here since the late 80's before they added trails and a sports park, and before it was nearly destroyed by floods in 1996. It's changed a lot. It's a good place to walk the trails, or walk your dog, or take a bike ride. Come in the evening if you really want to get some peace and quiet. You can get some amazing sunsets here, and you can see lots of birds like red wing blackbirds, killdeer, mourning doves, rabbits, and ducks. The trails are really nice. There's more walking and trails than you think for a smallish place. There's a very nice park for picnics as well. The pond is good for mostly fishing during Spring and Summer when they stock it. You can swim here, but the water can be gross at times from the birds and fish. They also have the Spring Fishing Derby here in April which is amazing for kids. Yes, they charge you for parking here in the peak months. Overall a nice place to come kick back, swim, fish, picnic, bike, walk your dog, or watch some ball games in the Spring.

I'm sure it's a great place but sadly I couldn't go in because I had my dog with me. Do not believe the comments, dogs are not allowed here. People seem to ignore that though.

Low key practice disc golf baskets are my favorite thing, but theres a splash pad and playing ground i haven't even checked out. The creek is pretty neat for chucking pepples or casting a reel into.

The trail is well maintained and busy. The river and pond are pretty. There are activity fields for a variety of sports. There is an eagle family by the river that are neat to watch. There are restrooms, plenty of parking, and most of the park is accessible. My only issue is lack of shade on the trail, but otherwise, it's a beautiful walk.

It’s beautiful and peaceful. There’s walking trails, fishing, and swimming. The park fee is $3. There’s also free life jackets to borrow.

Pretty cool experience, i have been to a lot of markets in different states, this one is probably one of the best from the food to the different types of vendors and entertainment me and my wife had a great time today I also wanted to give a special thanks to the vendor that sold me my 50 🌳 HAT super cool dude I love my hat I highly recommend if your in town to check out the market 😀

Totally worth checking out. Lots of quirky artesianal booths and very creative people in Portland. They had multiple musicians playing in a few different areas each bringing their own unique genre of music. Part of the market lies on the old street brick which gives it that early 1900s city vibe.

Been to Portland a few times, but the timing never worked out for me to be here on a Saturday morning for their renowned market. Really great selection of arts, crafts and food vendors.

Very large Saturday market, with a lot of things to offer especially with food! Highly recommend anyone to put this at the top of their list if they are in portland!

Great atmosphere and fun place to walk around and people watch.

Cool little area of the city that has arts and crafts tents where you can buy trinkets and other interesting items. They have a handful of food stalls to choose from too, I recommend the skewers (2.50$ a skewer). It is a decent place to come hang out on a saturday and check out or grab a bite to eat and sit and listen to the live music.

I had never been before October 2024. There's Live Music! Crafts! You can buy Art and soap and stickers and jewelry and sculptures and Dragons! And lots of other cool things. Some of it seems a little overpriced but you have to figure in that it costs each vendor for that space, and a monthly fee as well. Also, Voodoo Donuts!!!

What a peaceful meditative oasis! There is clearly some special energy here, transplanted by the artisans from Suzhou China who crafted the design and contents of this garden. We especially loved the tea house with an impressive variety of teas and baked goods, with tables overlooking the picture perfect lake and garden. The gift shop is also well stocked with a wide variety of items. I can totally see spending hours just quietly reading or soaking in the special special ambience of this meditative space.

Beautiful Chinese Garden, the tea house here is one of the best I’ve been to in the States! It’s so well done, it transports you to a whole new place. Spent a good couple of hours here just sipping tea, walking around the gardens and being in Zen mode.

What a beautiful hole in the wall place to visit! Lots of good photo op places and felt very culturally grounding for all races, especially if you’re Chinese. Reminded me of my roots, the koy fish pond right in the center was impressive and having the tea house to enjoy some cold tea on a hot day like today was amazing. Top tier decor and ambiance. So glad I came to visit this garden. The area outside the garden may be a little sketch but we have not encountered anything negative especially during the daytime, it’s ok. Metered street parking.

Very beautiful complex that has regular tours and a great tea house in the back. The beverages and snack were delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Highly recommend for folks looking to do some work or for a few hours of calm leisure!

It is a beautiful place fills with tranquility and culture. It is a gem in downtown Portland. When I was there sitting on the bench inside the pavilion, watching fish swam between the waterlilies and lotus, I forgot my anxiety and time. Even after I left that place I can still see its’ beautiful pictures on my brain.

A beautiful chinese garden. Absolutely worth a visit. If you visit recommend you also stop by the nearby Japanese American museum of Oregon.

We went on a Tuesday before heading back home after we had been hanging out in Portland for a few days. Parking was close and easy although required us to download yet another parking app. We went and saw the Lego Jurassic World exhibit which was very cool. Fun interactive displays in addition to the major builds on display. Then out into the Turbine Room for a bunch of hands on science. Everyone had a good time.

This was my first visit to OMSI, and I can see why so many people love it. The hands-on exhibits and interactive science areas are really well done — perfect for learning while having fun. It’s a great place to explore for a few hours and sparks curiosity in every age group. We also went to see the Earth movie, which was visually beautiful but mostly focused on climate change, so it wasn’t quite what I expected. Still, I enjoyed the overall experience and would definitely come back to explore more exhibits next time.

Went to OMSI with a friend and had such a great time! The Monsters of the Abyss: Aquatic Predators Past + Present exhibit was fascinating — we even met a Caiman lizard named Crunch, who’s related to the prehistoric Megalania! The exhibit was full of interesting creatures and incredible displays. We also went to the planetarium, toured the USS Blueback submarine, and spent time in the engineering labs, which were so much fun. Everything was super engaging and well put together. OMSI is always a blast — definitely worth a visit for adults too, not just kids!

Nov 2025 visit Mainly only downstairs with 2 rooms: the monsters exhibit and the large activities room. I visited for about an hour. The Monsters of the Abyss exhibit is very interesting and informative. The individual stations are very well made with signage in both English and Spanish. There was a paper passport to stamp at 6 stations. I wasn't ready to see a planetarium show so I visited the activities room. All geared towards younger children, perhaps younger grade school. It was quite busy and full of kids and parents. There's a water fountain and bottle refill station in the activities room and restrooms. I did enjoy watching the metal balls on the wire tracks. Quite similar to the one in SJC Terminal A and the San Jose Tech Museum. I visited with the BoA MOU program.

We went to Brickman and it was amazing!! Good mix of exhibits and hands on. The rest of the museum wasn't what I think of when I think museum. No big exhibits, not a lot of info. But they had a room that was an engineers dream. Lots of problems to solve and hands on activities. My kids could have spent all day in that one room. Had a great time, but cost seemed high for what you got. Didn't but tickets ahead of time as AAA discount is offered in person.

This is a lovely museum. Has a large interactive section for kids, also some cool exhibits. We didn’t get to see one but the films looked great

We LOVE OMSI! Went ahead and got the membership which if you have young children, just the upstairs area alone is worth the membership but the facility is expansive and there is so much to do to keep people of all ages entertained and gripped with wonder and education. We have been several times now and have yet to see all OMSI has to offer!

Currently the museum has no temporary exhibition (the Monet’s water lolies closed on August 10) and most sections are closed for renovation, however no discount was applied to the tickets price. We entered only because we weren’t sure if we ever return to Portland. Part of the European and the American galleries were open and we enjoyed the paintings and sculptures. Staff was kind.

Apparently they are under construction with 2 of four floors unavailable for viewing. But they are charging full price for half the museum experience, doesn't sound fair. There also wasn't a guidebook to add to the disappointment, I was just walking around on pure vibes lol. For the portion of the museum that was available, there, the art and installments were beautiful. I loved that so many pieces could be tied back to Oregon including the founder of the museum. I would recommend viewing this museum when it's whole again.

An amazing collection, and that's even before they opened the new Mark Rothko wing. One of the most beautiful Monet's waterlillies, an incredible Artemisia Gentilesschi, and much more!

Had a great time getting inspired by many great artists from around the world. Really enjoyed the Peruvian/Chilenian artist on religious artifacts. Great works of arts to enjoy.

Had the opportunity to visit on free Friday and was so lucky to see the Monet exhibit. The museum is rather small compared to what I have visited before. But, the staff are very friendly and the artwork is really fantastic.

Global icons, Local spotlight exhibition is interesting. The museum is currently under construction but I was told it will reopen soon, surprisingly there are pieces from Picasso and Monet!

I visited recently and they have an awesome collection. They were undergoing a remodel so there was limited access to many areas, but worth every penny of admission! First, their prized Monet has been restored recently and it’s absolutely amazing. In connection with Monet, the collection of Japanese paintings and wooodblock prints is really some incredible work. It’s worth going just to see these Japanese works because pictures do not do them any justice. To see these techniques and details up close is sublime. Portland has so many awesome things to draw one’s attention, but don’t miss the Art Museum, the museum itself and the blocks long park that connects all the buildings on the street are a local treasure.

14 Hands has consistently delivered high quality, excellent value WA red wine blends for many years. The 2019 Juicy Red is another great example. Syrah based, it serves up complex, well balanced blueberry, dark cherry, black current, mocha and spices. We enjoyed ours during a delicious roast beef dinner. Still youthful for about an hour, it smoothed out nicely for sipping after dinner.

This place is amazing! I read a comment that said the wines are totally different than what is in the store and that is 100percent true. Great wines at a great price. The white cabernet is divine and the charcuterie board has the best cheese I've had in years.

We continue to enjoy going to 14 Hands each time we visit our family in the Tri-Cities so that we may select a few more bottles to bring back home to Napa where we live— we especially love their Cabernet Sauvignon! What we like is that 14 Hands offers a good selection of reasonably priced wines. We also really enjoy the wine tasting experience because 14 Hands has a very nice tasting room, a pleasant and knowledgeable staff, and a large and welcoming patio area— we recommend ordering the cheese plate, which we have found to nicely complement our wine tastings!

A beautiful winery serving one of our favourite Chardonnay’s!! Just a quick first stop on a whirlwind three week road trip, we couldn’t ask for more! Grabbed a few bottles to go for our evening “night cap” in the next town/state!! Thank you 14 Hands for making such tasty product!!

Went here for a wine tasting and they were so awesome and so nice that we ended up joining their wine club which has no membership fee. As a result our complete wine tasting was free and the bottle the prices of the bottles of wine were greatly reduced. It's a very nice wine tasting room with a big large outdoor area that wraps all the way around. Besides the tasting room in large outdoor patio area, they have some interesting vintage barnwood displays, an art gallery, and a little store. Employee Cassandra took great care of us and told us so much history of the winery and their different grapes and vintages. We had such a fun time, highly recommend.

Our highlight of our winery visits in Prosser was the warm welcome we got from Casandra and Veronica at the Best Western Express and 14 Hands winery. They represent the best of the company!

We stopped by this lovely tasting room while on a road trip in July 2022, as a respite from driving in the 100°+ heat. It was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere of the tasting room is very nice, our tasting guide was wonderful and we enjoyed some unique reserve wines that the winery does not distribute very widely in liquor stores. So, of course, we ended up buying a few bottles. Highly recommended!

First time at a tasting room in Eastern Washington. This place was not crowded for a Sunday, but we were not their during the busy season. Learned about their process and how they get their wine. Had some nice reserves while there.
