Gunnison Beach

Outdoor Activities
Gunnison Beach, located in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, is the state's only legal clothing-optional beach. This two-mile stretch of white sand offers stunning views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The beach is known for its friendly and nonjudgmental atmosphere, attracting a diverse crowd of sunbathers. While amenities are minimal, visitors can enjoy an open-air restaurant called the Sea Gulls' Nest that overlooks both the bay and ocean.
My favorite clothing optional beach! Although if you come to this beach and your clothed, most people will think you’re strange and you’re there just to stare at everyone else, so it would be in your best interest not to do so. Most people are friendly and looking for a nice tan, my husband and I go every year and it’s always been an awesome experience! Freeing and fun!
Lett L — Google review
Love that even when its “crowded” this beach always has the perfect atmosphere. It’s my favorite local escape and it’s community is great. Respect is the culture and I wouldn’t change it for the world
Andre N — Google review
Was great to come late in the eve when it was not crowded. Beautiful park and a very nice beach with the views of NYC skyline

Today June 22,2024 I went alone in a car I’m writing this review to help those like myself that couldn’t find enough information online You pay for parking as the entrance fee. Apparently the beach is free which leads me to assume walkers and bikers don’t pay a fee but I’m not sure sorry. But for cars as you make your way to the entrance, every car goes through the pay toll. They don’t check your car just pay and enter. My suggestion to avoid the $20 car fee, bring your bike in your car and park somewhere else before entering to avoid the fee but it will be a longish bike ride. The good thing with the nude beach is that at the entrance there are bike posts and unlikely to be robbed because there’s people around and police cars at the beach. There is a bathroom and food there. It was very nude and very full of people. It was nice. I went alone and I was worried for my belongings to be stolen. I stayed close to my belongings. Only had my phone Sandals car keys and water. I sat near the beach with my stuff at eyes distance and all was fine. Had a great time. Enjoy. I put my stuff under my towel. Also the entire area is long and there are separate parts of it. It goes from a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i Only Gunnison is legally nude and it’s at the far back of the beach. Gunnison beach is kind of short tho i walked in less than 10 minutes to each end. Anyways it was fun.
Malow C — Google review
I always call a nude beach as the heaven on the Earth. This is one of those heavens for NJ and NY residents. The beach is wonderful and filled with lovely people walking, dancing, playing, reading, relaxing and being away from the city’s chaos. Opened to themselves, and people around, without having any boundaries of color, race, shapes, age and gender. This was our second experience to a nude beach after Haulover in Miami. I always regret coming here only once during my stay in US being so nearby. Parking: the parking is free but you need to pay $25 as entry fee before entering the premises. Restrooms: there are enough restrooms, changing area and showers close to all beach lots Location: the nude beach is the farthest beach once you enter from the main gate Good time to visit: Come around 12 or max by 2pm, the queue to the ticket counter can be longer beyond the usual. The beach closes by 8pm during Summer. We visited in the August. If you stay late you might see dolphins 🐬 near the shore. New York’s skyline at dark is another beautiful sight which you might not like to miss. Restrooms get locked by 7pm so make sure you finish your stuffs before then.

This is my go to beach for the summer great vibes great people great energy. I’ll be back next summer
Ford S — Google review
I did not come here for the clothing optional beach, but rather for the nice views of New York City and Long Island, which this offers, as well as North Beach. I liked the fact that ships were constantly going by as well. The winds were rather strong and washed up a lot of rubbish from the City, but it all collected on the upper side of the dunes, so it’s not too big of an issue. A lot of fishermen congregate on the top of the spot near where it meets the bay, and it’s nice for walking. Would recommend a visit either from the City or anywhere nearby. Cheers.

Nice beach , a lot people , not dogs allow . Police always around , checking everything is fine . Great atmosphere , this is a nude beach so probably you will see people naked . Big space for parking Great place for bicycles

Asbury Park Boardwalk

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Asbury Park Boardwalk is a revitalized 19th-century oceanfront promenade adorned with vibrant modern murals, craft beer pubs, and seafood restaurants. The boardwalk offers a curated selection of food stalls, bars, and shops without traditional amusement rides or piers. Visitors can admire the striking artwork along the beachfront promenade, including HOTTEA's captivating installation "One Last Moment Under the Sky," crafted from hundreds of hanging yarn strands in the historic Casino Building.
My visit to the Asbury Park Boardwalk was amazing! The boardwalk has a great mix of classic charm and modern energy. I enjoyed walking along the ocean, checking out the unique shops, and grabbing some delicious food from local spots. The live music and street performers added a fun vibe, and the whole area felt clean and welcoming. It’s a perfect place to relax, people-watch, and soak in the beach town atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back!

Beach Day Bliss: A Perfect Spot for Everyone! I recently visited this beautiful beach, and it truly exceeded expectations. From the moment you arrive, everything is well-organized — there's an entrance fee, ample parking, and a helpful enquiry desk to guide you. The beach is fully accessible, with wheelchair access, clean restrooms, and a shower area to freshen up after a dip in the water. Safety is clearly a priority, with beach guards actively watching over all areas. You’re welcome to bring your own mats, tents, and chairs, but there are also plenty of benches and designated seating areas to relax and take in the view. What really stood out was the lively atmosphere: there are numerous stores for shopping, food courts with a variety of options, and a spacious boardwalk perfect for a stroll. Whether you're with family, kids, or friends, this beach is clean, easy to access, and incredibly relaxing — the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, sea, and some shopping too!
Darshini G — Google review
This is one of the first beach and broadwalk that appears along the NJ shoreline after exiting north Jersey. Of course that makes it really popular and crowded destination in summer months. There are lots of parking lots and paid street parkings near the broadwalk. The lots are far more expensive than street parking, so better to go early to find one. The beach area is nice. There’s a $8 entree fee and they do check for the tickets time to time. Rental chairs and umbrellas are available but super expensive, $35 for an umbrella and $15 for each chair. Lifeguards actively monitor the designated areas. The broadwalk is huge. Plenty of shops, restaurants, restrooms, fun activities and a convention hall reside along it. Inside the convention hall, there are more shops, local artisan market, and restaurants. We spent about 6 hours in the area. I found this beach friendly and safe. The food was decent. Restrooms were well maintained too. Overall a really nice place to go for a beach day, but be prepared to spend some, unless you come fully prepared from home.

It's Beautiful 😍 place to see the sunrise .. I was very happy to visit this place and to see the nature , sunrise , beach .. challenges are to find a free parking place.. if you need free parking place there please start early by 1 hour One of the best place or view point for Sunrise in and around New Jersey

Gorgeous place. Calm, friendly, clean and not a massive tourist trap. Lovely food spots and shops. You can see that the area is loved and looked after. Highly recommend checking out the the Asbury Angels benches commemorating musicians and those who worked in the industry.

Rated best beach town in the country. Asbury is always a great experience. Nice and quiet family friendly beach. Wide and long boardwalk with plenty of food options and small shops.
Dilenia V — Google review

Step back in time and unleash your inner pinball wizard at the Silverball Retro Arcade on the Boardwalk. This arcade is a treasure trove of over 300 vintage pinball machines, Skee Ball, Air Hockey, and other classic arcade games from as far back as the 1930s. For just $12.50, you can enjoy unlimited plays for an hour on these iconic machines that feature retro artwork and mechanical bells.
Oh my God I never had so much fun since I was younger. I loved it. I played as much as I could possibly play. It reminded me of my good days beanpole days awesome place. I highly recommend it to a lot of people. I wrote a good review on it on Facebook I told everybody they should go down. I love the place thank you. We’ll be visiting it again and I’m 74 years old and I enjoyed every moment of it.❤️
Mary C — Google review
This is a great place to just chill by the boardwalk and have fun! It's really exciting to see all of the retro and vintage machines they have stored, many of which are one-of-a-kind, and not found much else. The food is also great and convenient. Plus, everything's ten times better when you're in one of the best places in the world: by the beach on the Jersey Shore Boardwalk.
Lior S — Google review
Easily well over a hundred games to play including various pinball, skeet ball, bowling puck, baseball batting, and much more. Food available. Clean restrooms. Chose the one hour ticket ($17.50) thinking this was more than enough time for a nostalgic trip (I was raised in Northern NJ 50+ years ago). Could have stayed much longer. The half-day price is only $20 - a much better deal. An old friend and I went here while the wives went shopping. How many times have we waited for the women while they were in a store? Too many... This was a wonderful diversion and both parties enjoyed the day.
Ralph R — Google review
The Arcade is really fun! You pay a fixed amount for entry, and then all the games are free to play. There are a TON of pinball games! They also have skeeball and several other retro games not just pinball. Kid friendly. I know they have food but I didn't have any just because I wasn't hungry. Location is cool because it is right on the boardwalk.
Ben K — Google review
alright this place is definitely a gem. if you grew up with pinball then you are in heaven. you pay per hour ($17.50) and you are allow to come in and out as you like within that hour. They have quiet a few retro game and don't forget to spend some time on the basketball ring.
Kossi M — Google review
Great experience! Well priced and a large selection of games. If you’re on the boardwalk, check this place out.
Ryan C — Google review
Very cool place. My boyfriend enjoyed it more than I did but it was awesome reading about each machine and seeing the years they were made. $5 for a non-player was still worth it to me.

Moreover, unique activities like beach tennis are also available at the sand court set up between Main and Middle Beach.
Very clean beach that is well kept by the community, so a very busy spot at peak times and requires a beach pass like a lot of NJ beaches. But still able to get a chill evening beach trip in
Shawn R — Google review
A hidden gem and clean beach. Nicely maintained and not too crowded even on weekends. Parking is bit tricky on weekend due to local people also parking on the street, and they also have entry fee of $13 but totally worth it. We went Saturday afternoon and it was perfect. Had a dip in the water and stayed back for sunset. The neighbourhood has some nice food options too. Will definitely come back with a day’s plan. They also have mobile restrooms, clean and nicely maintained.
Manan S — Google review
First time to a beach in April! It was Quiet, clean, family oriented with very friendly people! Great experience at this beach! Free parking, free admission during this time. Would definitely come back!!
Mary R — Google review
Love going out to Ocean Grove . It’s a clean place and friendly beach goers.
Rosely D — Google review
I normally go to Sea Girt, Avon and Point Pleasant, but I think now I found my new spot. This beach and the overall town is absolutely amazing. The beach is clean and the homes here are so beautiful. I got down here early, so parking wasn't a big issue for me as there was still plenty of free spaces available. The price to get on the beach was $13 plus processing fee if done online. I didn't see too many options for food near the boardwalk, but they do have a small retail shop near the restrooms to buy a few items. If you are looking for a beach that is small, and there are no frills then this is the spot for you. Also, from what I heard the restaurants in this beach town are BYOB....just a FYI.
Lisa S — Google review
Beautiful long beach with waves and lots of street parking during summer. But it's hard to find parking as lots of people visit the beach. Book online through their app and you can enter for anywhere. The beach is very clean. Even if it gets crowded the beach is quite long so you can always find space. The crowd is where the most waves are.
Divya G — Google review
Now in September I'll just say your blessed to be there. Take a walk around Main St. as shopping there is fun. From hardware store to clothing boutiques. Charming homes and auditorium.

PNC Bank Arts Center

Mentioned on

Amphitheater
Concerts & Shows
PNC Bank Arts Center is a modern amphitheater located in New Jersey, offering both stadium and grass-field seating for live music shows. The venue is known for its impressive acoustics and open-air setting nestled among lush greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere for concert-goers. Whether you choose to sit in the stadium or relax on the lawn, you can expect great views and a strong connection to the music.
Attended a concert in June 2025. Free parking, can take free shuttle bus to venue from free parking, plenty of food vendors & bathrooms, 1 merchandise booth, great sound quality. I sat in section 304, row O, seat 35. Hard to see faces of the artists, so far away but the price was right so I am happy. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to free parking. I did not ride the free shuttle bus at night after the show ended.
Noomie K — Google review
A very nice facility. Easy in and out on parkway Parking is ample the park and ride is free for concerts you can walk to event area or catch the bus they provide -the ticket area is pretty well organized I watched as older people had a problem on the hills and incline walkway with rocks - definitely makes it challenging (we were fine). We had lawn seats the incline is pretty steep and it’s not grass basically dirt. But I get it. Hard to maintain grass with all the people on it. Lots of food vendors and prices were fair concert pricing. Sound system was good. Could hear everything Overall a nice facility. Plenty of staff in both parking and traffic directing also in the venue. Felt very safe Plenty of law enforcement also! Definitely no issues there! Worth the price of admission
Sherry J — Google review
Excellent experience seeing the B-52's and Devo. Bathroom was clean and attendants helped keep things moving quickly so there was no wait even during intermission. Short, quick lines for food and bag check. Variety of snacks, meals and drinks available. Nice people everywhere. Parking was easy. Good view of the stage even from the lawn. Worth the trip!
Cheryl G — Google review
Recently went to a concert there. It was decent getting in to and out of the VIP parking lot but it looked like their was a long walk for the regular parking lot. It was very easy going through security and they allow you to bring your own water bottle or water container. They have water refill stations as well. My lawn tickets were good and if you moved around you could get a decent view of the stage but for the most part you really couldn't see it unless you were right in the front. They have chairs you can rent and blankets you can purchase and keep which is a nice option. All in all it was a decent experience.
Jenn M — Google review
Great and easy to get in clean and open inviting environment lots for grass and trees around so it doesn't feel like a concrete concert it's spacious and has a great flow to the whole center the seating is easy to find as well as bathrooms? Food, drink, merchandise, stand or any other amenities you needed. All easy to find old signage posted and readily available free parking and amazing vibes only downside was the expensive $18 beers but what place like this doesn't over charge all in I loved it and would definitely come back for another event
Frank P — Google review
If you get lawn seats the plus with PNC over Camden is the roof is much higher and the lawn more sloped so the sound and view is better. Minus is bad weather. We got stuck in a lightning situation once and there was really no option but to hunker down. The lawn needs help, has bare spots, it gets slippery is wet or moist from dew. Be careful, someone in my party fell. Parking can be on other side of parkway and quite a walk, they do have buses but getting back after show the wait is long. They basically only have two full food concession stands so while lines are normally not horrible the 15 mins between bands with a restroom break is tight. Of course you can buy $20 beers all over the place. Upgrades from lawn seats can be cheaper than renting the chairs. I am buying much less food and drink here because they are really pricing themselves out of a sale.
Todd S — Google review
My first time at the PNC Center and didn't know what to expect. Would it be like the Mann Music Center? The FM Center? Thankfully, it was more like the former than the latter. The sound was good. The screens? A little small but visible. I was glad they had bathrooms in fairly close proximity to the lawn as well as drink and food close by (take a note FM Center). Free parking was a pleasant surprise though a bit confusing. $20 chair rentals....overpriced. Overall, I liked the venue. Good thing since I'll be there again on Oct. 4.
Noelle F — Google review
This was very organized and the lines when by fast. From driving in to leaving it was really easy. Prices are really high but you can tailgate. Only downside was the seating letters on the ground were really faded and it was hard to tell what row was what but if you know the alphabet you’ll be fine. Also the bathrooms in the general parking were out of toilet paper but it was very crowded so it’s understandable. Overall great experience at PNC

The town boasts a vibrant downtown area as well as a marina for those interested in fishing or sailing. Belmar's clean beaches and family-friendly playgrounds make it an ideal destination for families. Additionally, the beach offers several amenities such as cell phone chargers on every block and water bottle filling stations located throughout the playground area.
I love visiting Belmar in the afternoon when the tide is low. The long walks at sunset are perfect, the waves are just right, and the water is exactly what I need to relax and recharge after a hectic work day. 🌊✨

Belmar Beach is one of those Jersey Shore spots that hits the perfect balance between fun and relaxation. The beach is wide, super clean, and well-kept, with soft sand and clear water that’s great for swimming or just kicking back with a chair and umbrella. The boardwalk is simple but perfect for a stroll—lots of spots for ice cream, pizza, and coffee with an ocean view. There’s a friendly, laid-back vibe here that makes it easy to spend the whole day. Parking can fill up fast on weekends, but if you come early, it’s no problem. Lifeguards are always on duty, and the town keeps everything well organized. It’s also family-friendly, so it’s an easy pick for a beach day with kids. You can’t go wrong with a summer day at Belmar—relaxed crowd, great views, and that true Jersey Shore energy without the over-the-top chaos.

Beautiful place to relax, especially closer to Spring Lake area. In love with those moody swans at the lake and gorgeous sunsets🌅
Victoria K — Google review
Belmar is one of my absolute favorite places to enjoy the Jersey Shore. I love that there is ample free parking walking distance from the beach (if you know where to look and get there early enough) and I also love how they allow military families free access to the beach with the showing of proper identification. Sand feels great between your toes, beaches are properly flagged, and life guards really do their due diligence in letting swimmers know the water conditions. As far as the town goes, there are many great little eateries along Ocean Ave, as well as plenty of public bathrooms along their impeccably clean composite boardwalk. Belmar will continue to be my town of choice when visiting the shore during the summer months.

Omg! I went to the Seafood Festival in Belmar this weekend, and what an amazing time I had. It is by far the best festival I have attended. There were plenty of porta potty everywhere. The variety of food was a delight, and the seafood was beyond what I expected, and the prices were reasonable. They had plenty of DPW employees there cleaning and removing garbage from everywhere. There was plenty of seating, vendors, and security. Enjoyed every minute of it! Will definitely be back next year!! Thank you, Belmar!

Belmar is great! Mostly a younger crowd at beach. Arrive early to get parking or afternoon. The home of Play bowl. Also other nice places to dine.

Beautiful beach in North Jersey. Beach passes are 12$ for an adult day pass and the beach has life guards. Kids 13 and under veterans are free. Beach passes are purchased with a QR code on the boardwalk and paid online. Parking is 2$ per hour and purchased with the ParkMobile app. There is also a playground area in the 12th st area. They have bathrooms at 5th, 8th, 11th, 16th and 19th St's.

It’s a great place to unwind and reflect on the history you just experienced. 🌳 **Friendly Staff & Service:** The staff at the center were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share their expertise. They were happy to answer questions and add extra context to the exhibits. Their enthusiasm really added to the overall experience. 😊 **Perfect for All Ages:** Whether you're a history enthusiast, a parent looking for an educational outing with your kids, or someone just curious about Edison’s contributions to modern life, the Thomas Edison Center offers something for everyone. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park. It’s a fantastic way to learn about one of the greatest inventors in history while enjoying a peaceful, scenic location. Definitely worth the visit! 🌟

Such a beautiful and peaceful park! It’s the perfect spot to relax, walk, or just enjoy nature. The walking trails are super clean and well-maintained, with plenty of trees and open space for picnics or playing around. One of the highlights is the greenhouse—absolutely stunning. It’s full of vibrant plants, flowers, and greenery, and it feels like stepping into a little tropical paradise. Super peaceful inside, and a great place to take photos or just escape for a few quiet minutes. The whole park is well-kept, and lots of shaded benches for sitting and relaxing. It’s clear that whoever maintains this place really cares. Definitely one of the best parks around—highly recommend checking it out! No pets allowed. And if you gonna go on bike some roads are shared with people on foot so be nice. :)

Located in a very unassuming neighborhood. You would never know it was there if not for Google maps. Very cool to imagine that the lightbulb was conceived in the lab that once stood here.

Small museum focusing on Edison’s time in Menlo Park and the inventions developed there. (Phonograph, incandescent light bulb and telephone transmitter) The tower is situated where his desk was, no historic buildings remain. Very informative but you also need to visit his home in West Orange for later works. The laboratory is preserved at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI for the workshop. The park nearby was very shady and was a nice cool short walk on a summer day.

This is a cute museum with absolutely awesome curators that gave us an amazing tour with a lot of interesting information and facts about Thomas Edison and his inventions. Absolutely worth visiting!!!

Really enjoyed this place and hope they are able to get the larger building they are dreaming about. The place is very well done and the guides have a real passion for the history and inventions of the place and Edison. Highly recommended.

Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park provides a nice overview of the life and accomplishments of Thomas Alva Edison. Best visited with the live tour, highlights are provided along with interpretation and demonstration of some of the early inventions. This museum is on the site of his early workshops and dirty streetlight electrification. Nature trails behind the museum if you want to further explore.

Roosevelt Park offers a variety of sports facilities, walking trails, fishing opportunities, an ice skating rink and outdoor theater. The park features a flat loop around the lake for running and hilly paths in shady areas for more challenging walks. However, erosion has led to more dirt than grass in some parts of the park while tree damage necessitates annual tree cutting. Still, the park remains a great outdoor resource for Middlesex county residents seeking walking or picnicking spots.
This is the place that will make your day! Nice walking trails with benches around. Ski area during the winter months and multiple park zones so you can visit each zone on a different visit. The lake in the middle is just so calm and relaxed that it’s a pleasure coming here. Bathrooms and kids play area on site. Plenty of parking

It’s a beautiful park. Highly recommend early morning hours. Very peaceful. Anyone can do the walk/hike, small children and elderly as well. Paths are paved and cleared. Takes about an hour from start entrance to the pond and back in a slow paced walk. Very peaceful

This is a really beautiful park. I forgot about those days when i was a kid there was so much to do at the park. I didnt fully get to explore the park 100% but i will say that just walking around was good enough for me, seeing all the animals enjoying themselves with humans around shows they do not care and do them. Basketball, tennis, bike riding, fishing, exercising etc it was really beautiful especially with a gorgeous sunset. Its really cool that there is a mall right across from it. Whenever I go to the mall I come here

Lovely park with something for everyone – kids, dogs, and adults! Perfect spot for parties and get-togethers. Washroom area is just okay, but the rest of the park makes up for it.

If you are on Roosevelt Island, I would definitely recommend a nice walk along the river to the end of the island to get some absolutely beautiful photos of the landscape. I wish I had more time to explore and relax in the park and watch the boats go by. It was a cold, snowy morning when I took a walk down to the park. It was absolutely breathtaking. There is so much to look at from all sides of the island. I would love to come back during the warmer months and take advantage of all the sitting areas and just take in all the beautiful views. There is an old hospital within the park with lots of interesting history, take a moment to read about it. It is very interesting and one of the reasons I wanted to explore this park. I love history and reading the stories and learning about the architecture of the buildings. It is pretty fascinating. I will definitely be back when I can spend more time exploring and relaxing while taking in all the gorgeous views.

A wonderful rescue! My aunt took me here many years ago and when I moved back to NJ I wanted to take my child. It was just as magical as I remember. A variety of beautiful raptors. All of the birds seem loved and well taken care of. Golden eagles, Ravens, vultures, Owls. Birds that you rarely get to see up close given a second chance at life by this wonderful rescue. This is donation based experience so bring some cash for the birdies. There is also a charming gift shop, my son got a beautiful owl plush that he treasures and I got a little roosting nest for our local birds. Raptor trust is a haven and treasure of NJ. I feel really lucky that this place has been around for so long and I get to share it with my child. Thank you Raptor Trust.

A great place to see some of our largest avian predators. All the birds are rehabilitating or injured and cannot be released. They are well taken care of and look content, with room to fly for the active birds and ramps for those who have lost wings. There is plenty of room to walk around the facility and its possible to get up really close to some of the birds, like owls. It is important to keep in mind that this place a rehab/care facility and not a zoo. Love this place and all the good work they do.

Great for animal lovers, bird enthusiasts and nature lovers! Very peaceful and the people there do great work. There’s a decent size parking lot with a nicely, groomed pathway leading in and around the facility where you can see some permanent residence as well as the natural wildlife.

I would give it five stars, but unfortunately, the great is too hard to take pictures with when you don’t have a professional camera. I wish that they used better fence material. It would make the viewing a lot better, though. I really did enjoy my time here and I love that it didn’t cost anything.

One of my favorite features in the Great Swamp is The Raptor Trust. The Raptor Trust is one of the best bird hospitals in the country and helps rehabilitate birds of prey, the namesake of the organization. There are small exhibits showcasing different birds of prey, like the Bald Eagle (our country’s best symbol), Golden Eagle, Falcons, Hawks, Owls, Vultures, with other birds. I would recommend visiting the Raptor Trust (make sure you leave a few extra dollars to help out the infirmary helping the birds)

I found a Robin baby bird this morning on my driveway. It fell off from the nest on the tree. After contacting the Raptor Trust by phone, I drove there and gave the poor bird to them. This place will take proper care of it. Thank you, guys, for what you are doing.

Great organization. Free education. What's not to love? I go here with my partner sometimes because it is a fun outdoor thing to do and it is free, though they recomend bringing a small donation to support them. I think they recomend $2, but it's not required if you can't pay. The grounds are very flat so it's very accessible. The birds are very beautiful and I learned a lot about raptors while I was there. I think it would be a good place to bring your kids, but you have to keep an eye on them to make sure that they don't run or shout cuz this could be distressing to the birds. I've never brought an injured bird there so I do not know what that experience is like though I've talked to some people who have done that. I know TRT will reject invasive bird species which a lot of people were frustrated by, but I understand why they do this. Most of the injured birds get released back into the wild. The ones they have for visitors to see were not able to be released. I included some photos, but it's hard to get good pictures of the birds because of the ways their enclosures are fenced off, but I believe this is for their safety.
Darth S — Google review
Big birds in big very big cages. Birds that would not have survived if had not been for the care of the raptor trust. I brought them a lost baby owl and now she is fine and they are going to release her. It’s the kind of place that gives you hope just about anything you need hope for.

My family and I went there for the first time this weekend, we had a blast! For $30/pp (children 3 and under are free) this includes: a tracker ride around the entire farm, which is longer than most tracker rides I’ve done at apple and pumpkin farms, a corn maze if you want to go through it, one pumpkin each, and you receive one apple picking tote per person. The price of the fruit you pick isn’t included but all in all I think it’s a very fair deal. It’s clean, well organized, everyone was very nice and helpful and their food stands and store had a ton of really delicious items to pick from. They also have a huge picnic area. We usually go to Chester every fall but this was a really great alternative as Chester has become very crowded this time of year. We got there at 9 when they opened and we didn’t wait on any lines. I highly recommend this place!

Eight man Farms has been our go to for years. Everything about this place is top-notch and the quintessential fall experience. it’s family owned and operated and they treat you like you’re part of their family. Whether you are interested in a pumpkin, hayride, some homemade donuts, or a variety of. Fresh plants and flowers you will not be disappointed. Visiting this form as the highlight of our fall season. Treat yourself and your family to a wonderful experience and go there today. God Bless America! God Bless Blue & Gold! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!

The service is top notch! And the food is made with love and high quality. My favorites are the salads! They are sooooooo good! They have everything, veggie salads, pasta salads, the chicken and tuna salad is phenomenal. They come in perfect sized containers, I buy a couple for work and eat them for lunch. Perfect on the go meal and conveniently packed. I hope this place is around forever.
Jenna G — Google review
One important thing that they do, is not accept credit card, one down and the second everything is very pricey. And you have to pay for very high entrée and finally almost everything has a not riped and what does not have that sign does not have any fruit very disappointed
Adriana T — Google review
My kids and I wanted to go apple picking. Entrance fee to the farm was $30 per person, which includes all their activities, plus you pay almost $4/lb for the apples you pick. I asked if there is another ticket to just go apple picking, and the man at the register told me that if I just want apples I can buy apples at the store. Lol, not a problem! We want to a nearby farm and picked without entrance fee, $2.50/lb. Probably $30/pp would be worth it to spend a day and do all the activities, but was not worth it for our purposes.

Great farm to spend an afternoon picnicking. Many options available. Fantastic store, I love farm stores for their authenticity
Santos S — Google review
The farm was nice, however I don't think its worth the cost of $30 per personnwhen you go to your family, as it doesn't offers another attraction than the truck ride. Id suggest to invest on games for kids, animals, or some other attraction. We only spent 2.5 hours, as there's nothing else to do, and these days the entrance price, undoubtedly, makes an impact on the experience.
David D — Google review
Took the family today to go apple and peach picking. The farm was beautiful and all the workers were very friendly. They had really good looking pies, and we were lucky enough to snag the last pecan pie of the day. Will be coming back for sure.

Water & Amusement Parks
Casino Pier & Breakwater Beach is a vibrant and well-established amusement center and water park located on a classic Jersey Shore pier. It offers an array of rides, games, and attractions suitable for children, families, and thrill-seekers. The amusement park boasts a variety of rides with stunning seaside views, making it an ideal destination for both first-time visitors and frequent guests.
SUPER FUN! Went on Juneteenth, Food is expensive but what do you expect. One water bottle is allowed in. They do allow you to exit and reenter the park as well in the same day. Locker rental is $20 (small) for the whole day. Lots of things to do and places to play. I spent the whole day there and didn't get to do everything just because of how much there was to do. There was barely/if any wait times for entry to the waterpark and for any slides. All the staff I spoke to were nice and understanding. Design wise the place looked pretty cool. Loved the big ship and wall design with the wave pool. It was easy to get around if able. Those in wheelchairs will have a harder time. It is (on paper) wheelchair accessible but there are stairs/steps for certain areas that limit access to the full amenities. From what I saw there were only 2 single stall accessible bathrooms. Lots of chairs available to sit in. There were a couple of things that could be improved such as more shade in general but especially on the walk areas definitely burned up my feet. The lazy river had an issue that became more apparent towards the end of the day where all the empty tubes would just bunch up in one area causing it to turn from a lazy river into a stubborn traffic jam. Best fix for the Lazy river could be by having the tubes available to grab outside of it vs having to wait for someone/an empty one to come around. That'd fix both the waiting and the jam issues. There were signs requesting those to shower off however before swimming however I was never able to locate the showers. There are also changing rooms but they are hard to find, unlabeled, and dimly lit. There doesn't seem to be a parking lot specific for the park although parking is abundant in the town so not too big of a deal.

Great place with a lot of things to do. Arcades weren’t too expensive. Rides were fun and not too expensive either. You can pay only for the rides you want to go on if you want. Wristband nights are definitely worth it. Did the go karts and mini golf across the street- kids loved it. Overall good experience.

Classic, well organized, and feels like a blast from the past with a bunch of new tech to keep it modern. Lovely to walk on the boardwalk, sit on the beach, or play the games at Casino Pier.

As far back as I can remember it's never a complete summer unless we pay a visit to one of our favorite places "Breakwater Beach and Casino Pier". Breakwater beach has something for everyone. Water rides from the smallest to the biggest. Even a hot tub and a waterfall with a tiki bar! Family friendly, safe and clean. When you're done playing in the water the pier is right behind you. From restaurants, arcades, sky rides and the beach! It's not summer without a trip to the shore!

With over 80,000 ancient and contemporary works on display, the museum offers a rich cultural experience. The diverse collections include exhibitions such as Women Artists and Abstractions, Blue Green Realms in Chinese Painting, Landscapes of the Mind, and Picasso Prints.
An absolute gem right in the heart of Princeton! The Princeton University Art Museum is free to visit and offers an incredible collection that rivals larger city museums. What really sets it apart, though, is how thoughtfully it engages the community—especially kids! They offer fantastic children’s programs that are both educational and fun, making it a perfect spot for families. Whether you’re an art lover, a parent looking for enriching activities, or just someone exploring Princeton, this museum is a must-visit. With its world-class exhibits, welcoming atmosphere, and easy access from nearby roads and the heart of campus, it’s truly one of the area’s greatest treasures.

I was eager to see the museum in its new footprint for years, and finally had a chance to go a week after it officially reopened. The new space is beautifully curated. Many open spaces to gather, inside and out. Sharing in the enthusiasm of so many other art lovers was electric. Since we didn’t have a lot of time, we prioritized the temporary exhibits and a few specific pieces in the permanent collections that we like to “visit.” The best thing about this museum is that it is free for all, providing access to the arts for everyone in the community.
Amy E — Google review
I went to the grand opening very early this morning (around one am) and it was still lively and bustling with visitors! The actual exhibits were a lot bigger than I expected, though they lacked the museum-typical chronological structure. For example, I spent a solid twenty minutes just looking for a certain exhibit. But, overall, I loved the collections they had, and it was a great experience! 🐈‍⬛🏛️

A world-class museum experience right in Princeton—highly recommended.

Princeton University is a private Ivy League university located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and is one of the oldest in the U.S. Princeton is ranked among the top universities in the world, and is best known for its rigorous academics, prestigious alumni network, and of course, as its well proclaimed beautiful campus. Princeton offers a broad range of academic programs, with majors ranging from humanities, social sciences, economics, and engineering. Its campus is absolutely beautiful. It consists of various large extensive buildings and structures all throughout the walking area. It is very much common to see students alike and tourists taking photos of such aforementioned structures because of their voluminous space and architecture. Princeton's undergraduate curriculum is based on a liberal arts foundation, requiring students to take courses in a variety of disciplines. As stated on their respective website: 4 years of English 4 years of Mathematics 4 years of one foreign language 2 Years of Laboratory science 2 Years of History Princeton also offers a variety of financial aid programs to help students make college affordable. Not only that, but undergraduates also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, often under the mentorship of Princeton's world-renowned faculty. All in all, Princeton University is a world-class institution that offers students the opportunity to receive a rigorous education and learn from some of the best minds in the world. It is a community where students can grow and thrive, and make lifelong friends from all over the world in an environment where young minds are constantly being challenged and older minds are seeking to serve and teach their years' worth of knowledge. If you are a high school student who is interested in attending Princeton, you should start planning early. Princeton has a very competitive admissions process, and it is important to have strong grades, and extracurricular activities in progress while you still have time. In addition to that, I definitely recommend visiting the campus and talking to current students to learn more about the university, student life, and its unique culture it portrays.

It's beautiful!! It's amazing to walk around the campus. It has a very Hogwarts magical vibe. The buildings, the built and everything about this place has a history (the good and the bad). It almost feels like having a connection with that history while you walk through this place.

This is a very old school with charm and beautiful architecture. I just walked through the campus, but it was quite lovely. I cannot attest to the education, but from what the school has posted everywhere, it seemed like a very “where are your papers?” university, which is quite something. I will not doc any stars because of it, but I was not allowed in the university chapel because of it (only students, faculty, or staff allowed)- I know it’s a private school, but I thought these places were supposed to be open to all, like their predecessors in England like Cambridge or Oxford.

McCarter Theatre Center

Performing arts theater
Concerts & Shows
Located in Princeton, New Jersey, the McCarter Theatre Center is a renowned performing arts venue that has been showcasing professional theater productions since 1930. With over 200 performances annually, including theater, music, dance, and special events, it is one of the most active cultural centers in the United States. Drawing an audience of over 200,000 people from New Jersey and beyond, it stands out as the only professional producing theatre in the country that also presents diverse performing arts.
Primary Trust There’s a quiet power in simplicity on stage. Understated storytelling doesn’t shout for your attention, but before you know it, you’re drawn in hooked by the small moments and gentle rhythms that somehow leave the deepest mark. Characters who seem naive or unassuming at first glance often end up the most compelling, especially as they’re nudged by new experiences or stay rooted in what feels safe. That slow, believable evolution is what makes live theater linger long after the curtain falls. That’s exactly what happens in “Primary Trust,” the Pulitzer-winning play now running at Princeton’s McCarter Theatre. The plot centers on a gentle, habit-bound man, played with quiet intensity and unguarded heart by Deshawn Harold Mitchell whose world starts to shift, bit by bit, as life pushes him to open up. Playwright Eboni Booth keeps his journey grounded, layering in fresh challenges and flashes of clarity that let his universe expand just enough to feel real, never forced. The supporting cast is equally impressive. Lilian Oben moves effortlessly between roles, making each character pop with their own energy and soul. Peter Bisgaier brings a lightness that cuts through the tension at just the right moments. And Shane Taylor, as Kenneth’s steadfast imaginary friend, is the anchor he clings to for over two decades until, finally, he steps aside and lets Kenneth find his own way. What sticks with me most is how the production wrestles with memory, loss, and the marks our past leaves on us. There’s an honesty in the way it shows how reaching out even after years of loneliness can rewrite the story we think we’re stuck with. McCarter Theatre has a knack for these kinds of shows: the ones you keep turning over in your mind long after the applause fades. Hats off to the entire cast and crew for a performance that turned an ordinary night into something quietly extraordinary. Bravo.

This organization is having problems with its ticket purchase portal. It kept declining all my credit cards and Apple Pay. How can you expect patrons to get tickets if your portal doesn’t work and your office is closed half of the day? I verified with the credit card companies and Apple Pay, all said credit is good and no problems. This is such a terrible business practice, how can you expect patron support when we can’t purchase tickets?

Popcorn Park Animal Refuge

Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, established in 1977 by the Associated Humane Societies, is a sanctuary for a variety of abandoned and abused domestic and exotic animals. Located in the Pine Barrens near Toms River, it provides a forever home for over 200 animals including horses, cattle, goats, pigs, peacocks, bears, cougars, lions and tigers. Visitors can learn about the journeys of these animals while being just feet away from them.
“We visited Popcorn Park Zoo with our whole family and were absolutely delighted! This place is truly special — it’s home to animals that have been rescued and given a second chance at life. The atmosphere is so warm, and it’s clear how much love and care goes into every animal here. The grounds are clean, well maintained, and everything is organized to be interesting for both children and adults. Our daughters were thrilled to see the animals up close, and for us as parents it was especially meaningful to show them how important it is to care for and help animals. You can really feel the heart and mission of this place. We will definitely come back again and recommend it to all our friends!”

I cannot recommend Popcorn Park Zoo enough as a wonderful place to have your child’s birthday party! We had my son’s 6th birthday party there this weekend! Their instructor was amazing and coordinating was SO easy! Plus, the money for the party goes towards a good cause! The kids had an animal ambassador experience in the picnic area, ate and then went into the zoo! Such a great experience! 10/10 would recommend! Ages ranged from 1-6 and all had a great time!

What a great little fund! Reasonably priced and plenty of free parking. Not big and overwhelming but an excellent experience. My son was a huge fan of Ozzy the monkey, while I would have loved to snuggle a fox. There was a nice array of animals and even a reptile house. We would definitely go back if we're ever in the area again.

One of the best uses for land is this excellent refuge for abandoned animals. Absolutely all proceeds go to the facility and its inhabitants. An incredible amount of love, dedication and hard work go into making this sanctuary a safe haven and a wonderful place to educate about animal welfare. Highly recommend.

First time here, took my little sister and we had a great time. It’s great to know this animal refuge is doing a great service and job taking care of the animals. Many of their stories were heartbreaking but knowing they have a group of people who are out there and care for them really makes it worth it. Thank you for all you do Popcorn zoo!! Will be coming here more often!

This is a lovely small/medium sized animal sanctuary with staff that care. It is a simple circular walk around the area to view the rescued animals here. From llamas, to turtles, to lions all these beautiful animals have a story. I highly recommend this place for a visit and a donation for the great work they are doing here.

We love popcorn park zoo! Small animal refuge, but you can get pretty close to the animals. My kids do miss the popcorn part and also being able to pet the animals! It’s not as fun but still cute.

Absolutely loved this little gem! Great for kids, lots of shade and great selection of animals to see. All the animals have a rescue story which added to the experience. Definitely worth checking out, whole park can be done in less than 2 hours.

My husband and I did a wine tasting last week for his birthday and it was such a great experience! The woman that did the tasting was so pleasant and did a wonderful job. The winery was beautiful both inside and out. We enjoyed the variety of wines and purchased a few bottles to take home. Would definitely visit again!

We had the most amazing time at our wedding this October. Our guests did not have enough good things to say and the day went seamlessly. We appreciate all of the staff's hard work and for putting so much care into providing excellent service for their guests. The winery is so beautiful and we truly wouldn’t have changed a thing about our wedding day. They were so accommodating and so lovely to work with throughout the entire process. We can’t wait to go back and visit soon!

Went to a 5:30pm wedding there last weekend and there was a horrible smell in the parking lot and on walkway to the ceremony site. Smells like backed up sewer line. Persisted all night. Almost unbearable. Several drunk ppl from wine tasting were allowed to wander in wedding tent. Sign posted said outdoor grounds close at 4 and winery closes at 6. However staff did nothing when about 10 wine tasting customers sat on wall to watch 5:30 wedding ceremony and talk loudly (and drunkly). Staff also did nothing about drunk ppl screaming in parking lot during ceremony. Comical because the owner will not allow DJ to play music at enjoyable level. No one was able to hear parent/child dances. DJ said this is because owner’s home is directly next to wedding tent. This place is beautiful but they need a serious customer service overhaul. If you want a fun peaceful wedding you should look elsewhere!

Absolutely loved my visit to this winery! The atmosphere was peaceful, the views were beautiful, and every wine I tried was perfectly balanced. My host, Carol, made the entire experience even better — she was friendly, knowledgeable, and you could tell she truly enjoys what she does. She explained each pour with passion and made great recommendations based on what I liked. I left not only with a few bottles but with a real appreciation for the craft behind them. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for good wine, great company, and genuine hospitality!

We hosted a surprise 50th birthday celebration this past weekend and it was truly amazing! From the first time we met Tom and his team, we knew it was going to be a great venue for us. All of our guests raved about the venue, the quality and selection of the wines and the entire team at Crossing Winery. The bartenders were very friendly and made sure all of our guests were well taken care of the entire night. The ambiance with the fireplaces and wine made our night perfect! We can't thank them enough for helping us make true memories of a lifetime. Special thank you to Tom and his team.

Crossing Vineyards helped me and my client host a wonderful event at their beautiful winery. Their entire team -- event manager, server, and bartender -- were all fantastic. Super efficient, kind, professional, and accommodating. The food and wine were great, and the winery made us feel right at home. All of our guests were impressed and kept saying how lovely the venue was. Hope to be back soon when I'm off the clock and can enjoy more wine!

Water & Amusement Parks
Sesame Place Philadelphia is a vibrant amusement park based on the beloved children's show Sesame Street. Located just 30 minutes from Philadelphia, this family-friendly destination offers over 25 attractions, including rides, live shows, and water slides. Perfect for kids under 7, the park features favorite characters like Elmo and Big Bird. Families can enjoy rides at Elmo's World, Big Bird's Balloon Race, and Cookie Mountain.
Have visited weekdays, weekends, and even holidays like Labor Day weekend. Crowds are lower on weekdays but there’s usually more character meets available on the weekends we’ve noticed. They have so much to do and it’s ideal for any baby that can walk up to mid elementary school age kids. Staff always friendly. Park entry always smooth and organized. Entertainers always give 100%. It’s a truly great place to visit. I’m so lucky to be local and get to enjoy all the seasonal events as well.

We visited for the first time and really enjoyed our time with kids. Nothing much for teenagers but they can still have some fun on the rides. Some of the rides were not functional as you can read in most of the reviews. I visited on a weekday and didn’t experience any wait time. Parade was the most amazing experience for my kids. Salute to the artists who were performing with such an enthusiasm on a super hot day

I had an AMAZING time with my little one at the Sesame Place. This theme park is full of colorful fun packed streets. We did not cover all but the bit we covered was memorable. Things are a pricey like the parking, food and most items at the gift shop. But nonetheless, it is a MUST SEE especially for kids. The parade was our highlight. I highly recommend for tourists and even locals. 💯 Kids Friendly ✅ Paid parking✅ Gift shop✅ 🚻 Restroom ✅ Lovely Ambiance ✅ Good Music ✅

"Elmo, Mama. Elmo, Mama!" - 2 yr old pointing with excitement. Where are we? "Special Place, Mama!" - 2 yr old. He couldn't say "Sesame" so called it "Special Place" instead of Sesame Place. Wednesdays are the least crowded day in the summer. Get a season pass. The parade is cute but if you go often skip the parade and go on rides without a line. Kids must be able to walk and sit independently to go on the rubber duck water slide. My son loved it at 2 years then 3-4 was scared. Then went back to it when older. My son was so excited to be to be tall enough for the rollercoasters. Oscar's taxi was closed the first time he was tall enough then got stuck with us on it at the finish but my kid needed to go to the bathroom while we were waiting to get the seat belts to release, luckily he held it and had no interest in getting back on. Grover's rollercoaster is way better but for adults who don't like rides, this is a real ride, not simply a preschool thrill ride. Get to shows early. Seating can run out at the indoor theater. Get a spot for the parade early if going. I miss when they allowed kids to interact with parade characters. Core memories for my child. Skip character meals...too expensive for picky eaters, vegetarians, and kids with food allergies. Wish bathrooms were cleaner. Elmo's Flying Fish was my son's favorite ride. And he loved climbing on the ropes when he needed to jump around. Bubbles were a great distraction in line on days when lines were longer. Season passes can be bought in August for the end of the season and Halloween and Dec holidays' spectacular AND the following summer. Pass includes parking. Worth it if going 3 or more times. Sesame Place was my son's happy place ages 2-7 years of age.
Laura G — Google review
It was a great experience with our granddaughter and family, just as fun as 20 years ago with our children. food, merchandise and extra activities are pricey but that's with all theme parks. Definitely recommend purchasing tickets online you save about half the price.
Grecy L — Google review
This experience was everything I wanted it to be. Food- I purchased the food pass for the 3 main places to get food from (ABC, Big Bird's, & Elmo's). Preparing in advance for the food I would highly recommend as theme park meals are expensive. The pass offered one entree, one side or dessert, and one drink ( no alcohol ) every 90 minutes. In my eyes for 3 adults and 2 kids it was worth it and at about $137 vs an approximate $375 Rides- I am no thrill seeker... but my kids (18 & 10) enjoying plenty of them with shorter wait times averaging around 4 to 15 minutes depending on the ride and the time of day. Oscar's coaster had the longest line at about 30 minutes, however it had an delayed open at around noon. What I did notice about the rides, is that they do not all start at the opening of the park. I'm not sure if this is due to staffing, maintenance, closure or whatever else one could think of but there is so much to explore that by the time you make it back around to a ride that was "closed"... it may be open. Characters- the meets for the characters were pretty easy going. The lines were tolerable and were consistently moving. Not all the characters were available for meet and greets but there is a way to find all of this stuff out. Parade- We went due Labor day weekend & 45th Birthday celebration. The parade was awesome. The songs were catchy and not the normal songs we all know! With some ABC'S & 123's, floats, bikes, and dancers... you can bet that they all did great! All of the characters were in the parade. Elmo, Abby, Big Bird, Oscar, Zoe, Kelly, Cookie monster, Bert, Ernie, and the count. What really tied this whole experience together was the Sesame Place App. This app held my tickets and passes, had a in depth map of the park, and give you a schedule. You can navigate the App to pull up your passes for easy convince instead of navigating through emails or printing out passes and tickets. The map will offer you directions to and from different areas. If you're looking to find a shop or the playground the map will give you directions on how to get there. The schedule is a little wonky and my best guess is because the characters are human and there is some error in all things human. With that being said characters are subjected to change without notice. So dont get your hopes up looking to see someone and they're not there. This disclaimer is also on the app. The schedule will help you plan your day based on what you like to do. For us it was helpful because we were able to plan for the little one to meet her favorite friends while the others were able to play until meeting for food, parade, or at Count's castle in the water. There are plenty of things to do and a variety of foods to eat. The park was clean, colorful, and encompasses people of all ages and races to come and enjoy. Not quite as diverse as Disney but its not as popular. I will be going back with my kiddos because they want to go back to Sesame Place!
Destiney T — Google review
Place was very clean and never had to wait more then 5 mins per ride if any. Bathrooms were plentiful and always well kept. Parade and staff was so much fun and oscar was a g.

It's a good time with our toddler but it is pretty overpriced, understaffed, and could be better maintained. We got value with the season pass and a teacher pass, but won't be doing it again. We really enjoy everything Sesame Street, but this feels like a cash grab.

Shopping
Philadelphia Mills, previously known as Franklin Mills, is a vast shopping complex located in Northeast Philadelphia. With over 150 stores including popular brands like Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH and Forever 21, this mall offers a wide range of options for bargain hunters. In addition to the numerous value brand stores, visitors can also enjoy food courts, a movie theater, and seven theme restaurants.
A large and beautiful mall on the inside, but unfortunately, like many massive shopping centers, it feels almost deserted. There are so few visitors that it’s hard to imagine how the stores manage to stay open. As you walk through, you see closed shops and vacant spaces scattered throughout. It’s not surprising—many of the stores likely don’t see the point of staying in a place that gets so little foot traffic.
Nika N — Google review
I’m not sure why folks are lying in the reviews but me and my daughter came to this mall on Sept 10. I was so excited to get to show her the mall I grew up going too now that she’s a young adult. I was saddened to see that it’s severely deserted. There was a handful of stores thriving in there and all of the rest completely closed down. Such a hug beautiful mall but even the foot traffic was non existent. We ended up going to KOP Mall the next day and enjoying some good shopping. KOP Mall is still booming.

Have been coming here for years and always enjoyed the plethora and variety of stores. Planned a trip weeks ago with a friend and we went down yesterday. There were DOZENS of vacated (empty) stores. A couple of stores were closed (stocked without employees) on a Saturday @ 2pm - prime shopping time! Most of the restaurants in the food courts were also vacated. Not a good sign for the Simon group. We are in the beginning of the holiday season…the shops should be full and bustling with shoppers. I fear this is the sign of the end. While I was disappointed, my 3 favorite stores were still there; it wasn’t a complete loss. But, I don’t think I’ll be making a special trip to come here in the future; it’s an hour’s drive each way. Sad…another sign of the times and consequence of web-shopping!

Very big mall with many stores to go shopping! They have a nice sized Dave and Busters here with a restaurant, arcades, bowling, and pool table… lots of parking! Great place to spend the day (especially for women)!

Massive shopping mall on i95. Plenty of parking and good selection of shops. Plenty of restaurants around the mall but not enough inside the mall. The mall seems to be on the quite side and past it's glory days with too many shops closed. On the other hand prices were fairly good and bargain hunters may like it.
Sam A — Google review
It's a vast Mall. Clean with quite a few stores. I would not call it an outlet mall. It does have a variety of stores both well known like Nautica, Marshall, Home Goods, Sketcher & unknown like Turn 7, VIP to name a few. Good price point. It does quite a few vacancies. But was not crowded. There was not much selections in food. Also not many places to sit along the long walk through the Mall. Outside not much to appealing to the eye. But there is plenty of places to park. Worth a visit!
Elquis E — Google review
Nice place to walk around, however, so many shops have left like Nike and Forever 21 to name a few. The other major stores like Walmart n Burlington must've gotten robbed too many times that it's a process to just enter stores. If you don't like crowds and enjoy walking around, this is a great place as it's mostly dead in here, which can be nice if you like the peacefulness like I do

Gorgeous place with super friendly staff and great food/wine. This was my first time here and our waiter Frank was the best. What a cool dude. He was very attentive and professional but still joked around with us, which I always love. We dined inside but the big windows still let you see the scenery and gorgeous sunset. The spicy pepperoni flatbread was amazing and so was the cheese board. The crimson sky and winter spice were our favorites. Can’t wait to sip on winter spice during the colder months. We will be back for sure!

Such a pretty place. It's got a big indoor building with plenty of seating like a restaurant. The food is really good and they have a variety of options. Also lots of options for wine flights. I did a signature flight where you can pick your own and I loved a few of them so the wine is definitely good. I went on a rainy day but the grounds and outdoor seating look like it would be very nice on a sunny day. They were busy on a Sunday near closing time. It was far from my location but I would come back it's worth the drive.

Warm, Welcoming, and Wonderfully Delicious! My daughter and I visited Sharrott Winery for the first time yesterday, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, who immediately brought us over to the wine station to begin our tasting. We started at the wine bar, where we were guided by Dana—our incredibly knowledgeable and friendly wine host (or wine connoisseur!). He made the tasting fun and informative. As part of their process, we each sampled six different wines, and Dana helped us understand and appreciate the unique characteristics of each one. Midway through, another staff member named Jen stopped by to chat and complimented my daughter on her graphic tee. She was so down-to-earth and personable—and we later found out she’s the manager! It was clear that everyone there takes pride in creating a welcoming environment. After our 45-minute tasting, we waited just a few moments for our reserved table. While we were standing nearby, we overheard a waiter offer a quicker seating option, but the hostess thoughtfully replied, “No, I’m pretty sure they want to sit by the window, so go ahead and get that one cleaned and ready.” That small gesture—without us even asking—truly stood out. I only wish I had caught her name so I could personally thank her in this review. We chose the indoor seating, which was cozy and inviting. We each ordered a glass of our favorite wine from the tasting, along with the pretzel bites with cheese and the cheese plate—both were absolutely delicious. Our server Mia was excellent—attentive without being overbearing, and her check-ins felt perfectly timed. The service was thoughtful, the staff genuinely kind, and the atmosphere relaxed but professional. We ended up purchasing a few bottles to take home, and we haven’t stopped talking about the experience since. It was a five-star visit in every way. We’ve already recommended Sharrott Winery to friends and can’t wait to come back soon!

Sharrot Winery – A Go-To Spot for Great Food, Views & Vibes Sharrott Winery never disappoints. I’ve been here many, many times, and every visit is a reminder of why it’s one of my favorite local spots. During our latest Sunday brunch visit, we indulged in several favorites. The pretzel bites were, as always, delicious—definitely best enjoyed warm, especially with the cheese dip that complements them perfectly. We also shared the Haro Ranchos skillet, avocado toast, and ended on a sweet note with a decadent red velvet cake, which was one of their specials that day. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, making it clear why their food stands out among other wineries in the area for food. For drinks, we chose to go the DIY mimosa route by ordering a bottle of Brut Champagne (about $36) and a few juices (around $3 each). It was a smart choice—being able to customize our mimosas to taste was a fun and flexible touch, and I’d definitely recommend it.

So overall the drive is roughly 45-55 mins from Philadelphia (depending on where your traveling from. Love the atmosphere! I have been here twice. This place is a hit or miss. Ambiance: 2/5, loud/echoes-cafeteria like Staff: 3/5, too many people at the front Food: 3/5, overpriced for quality Wine: 4/5 (better than William Heritage & White Horse, maybe comparable to Laurita) 1st time here was mid 2024 (3.5/5 stars). The wines were good (4/5 stars) so we bought a couple bottles and food was good (5/5)… but the staff/waitress (1/5) rushed us and emphasized the 1.5 hr table limit multiple times although we were doing both a wine tasting and having dinner (2hrs min should be the limit). Mind you there was only 2 of us so we weren’t a big party taking up too much room. We did end up finishing 10 minutes before the 1.5hr mark. Because of staff we didn’t rush back. 2nd time visiting Sharrott (mid 2025) I called to confirm they had food during our reservation time but they didnt answer. They called me back but hung up immediately, resulting in me calling a 2nd time. When we go there, there were at least 4 ladies up front. Why is it difficult getting someone on the phone while there’s more than enough people standing around. Other than that, This time staff were friendly and didn’t rush us. There were multiple large parties that were very loud and the acoustics made it echo louder. It made for a non-relaxed tasting. We tried different wines from the last time and liked at least half of them but a couple tasted low quality and syrupy. 3/5 I am not sure about the quality of their ingredients and additives because they seem sweetened with artificial syrups instead of real spices but i could be wrong. This time the food was disappointing and made me not want to eat there again. Maybe a new chef? Would NOT RECOMMEND the red snapper. I paid $29 for red snapper (entree size) so i expected it to be served like an entree and to come with reasonable portions of sides. I was shocked at how they served it on an appetizer plate with cornbread and a small side of slaw like it was a half rack of ribs from Applebee’s. Not only was it improperly plated and not respected for its delicacy, the fish was not fresh. It was extremely tough and seemed like it was frozen fish. I couldn’t cut into it with a fork!It was also very bland , like no salt or pepper just some butter and lemon juice, 0/5. The cornbread was immaculate, 5/5 but that should not be considered a side, especially for red snapper. The slaw was very good but served horribly and was small portioned, 4/5. Overall this plate was 2/5, due to the star of the show being horrible and not enough sides. Would recommend they offer fresh food and an additional side if people are paying restaurant prices.

The Liberty Bell, last rung in 1846, is a 2,080-pound symbol of freedom with a biblical inscription and a famous crack. It holds great significance as an icon of freedom and independence in America. Located across from Independence Hall on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, the bell offers a perfect view of the historic site. The importance of Independence Hall lies in its role as the location where the Declaration of Independence was signed, making it a crucial part of American history.
Recently visited iconic landmark of Philadelphia Great quick trip. A lot of information in an organized layout. Touched on a the little detail about the bell and it's history, not just the well know information. The staff are all relaxed and knowledgeable to answer any questions and give a little of background information when asked. Close up 360 view of the bell which is great for pictures and videos. You can also see the current bell and the tower that it's in right behind the liberty bell. Nice walking area surrounding to liberty bell museum. If you are in town or leave near by must visit once.

The birthplace of the United States Constitution, the Liberty Bell at the Independence Historical National Park is a fun way to spend a few hours exploring and learning more about our country’s history. Surrounded by 18th century architect, visitors can still enter the very same buildings where our founding fathers wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, passed law, and came together as a nation.

The Liberty Bell is a significant piece of US history. The fact that they don’t charge to go in is fantastic cues can be quite long but within 10 to 15 minutes you’re in. Really well organised. A must see if you’re in Philadelphia.
Carlos U — Google review
This was one of the other items that I was blessed enough to check off my bucket list as well. I learned a lot about the history of the bell, as there is a indoor museum dedicated to it.
Rod W — Google review
I didn't think I would like this museum as much as I did but it was surprisingly good. It's free admission, but there was a significant line to get through security. Once inside it's not that large, but the information and stories provided were excellent. I was amazed at how complete a history they gave, highlighting the contradictions of this symbol of freedom while systematically oppressing women and minorities in this country. It's also why I came in the first place, given how we're currently headed down the same path. It's more of a physical representation of our constant struggle for the fractured freedoms and liberty that we all strive for in America.

Liberty Hall is associated with freedom, civil rights, and American independence. It is a famous bell that attracts visitors from all across the globe. Nice place to visit when in Philadelphia.

Grocery store
Reading Terminal Market is a renowned indoor farmer's market that has been serving a diverse range of food, housewares, and local specialties since 1893. It offers an array of dining options including Townsend Wentz's Oloroso and Jose Garces' Amada.
Reading Terminal Market is a foodie paradise, and my visit was a perfect example of why. The variety here is unmatched—you can walk a few steps and go from authentic international dishes to Philly classics. We started with some hearty Indian food: a rich spinach and stew dish paired with flavorful rice. The rice was perfectly seasoned, and the stew had layers of spice. Of course, no trip to Philly is complete without a cheesesteak, so we grabbed one from uncle Gus restaurant. The bread was fresh with that perfect crunch from the sesame seeds, the onions were caramelized just right, and the meat and cheese were melt-in-your-mouth good. It really hit the spot. What I love about Reading Terminal Market is that you can try completely different cuisines in one visit. In just one meal, we went from Indian flavors to an iconic Philly classic, and everything tasted authentic and delicious. Yes, it’s busy, but that’s the fun of it—it feels alive, full of people and energy. The food quality makes it more than worth it. Whether you’re a local or visiting Philly, you won’t leave hungry, and you’ll probably already be planning what you want to try next time.

This a very unique place! It’s a must see and the perfect spot for lunch. There’s many different food options here, all of a wide variety! From raw oysters to soul food to sushi to Indian. There are a few dessert places as well. The meat market and fish market have lots of things to choose from if you plan on grabbing and preparing at home! We visited on a Saturday and it was overwhelmingly packed with people, however it is open 7 days a week, so I suggest visiting on a weekday.

Incredible space with multiple vendors, shops, and restaurants! Can’t recommend this market enough - we’ve literally told everyone about it. We are so glad we stopped in at the recommendation of our Lyft driver and we were so impressed. Coffee, Chocolate Pastries, multicultural cuisine options, and at least one or two bar / restaurants spaces. Not only was it an amazing adventure just walking the aisles, but everything was clean and the service at all the stalls was incredible. People were polite and it was easy to navigate the space! Highly recommend stopping Reading Terminal if you’re in the area!

We went on a Sunday at noon. I have to say it was busy but was still easy to get around with a toddler. We went to The Original Turkey and it was so delicious reminds me of Thanksgiving but so much better because the turkey was juicy and tender. The stuffing had so much flavor and the gravy was savory. The stuffing club was to die for. Next was dessert and we decided on Wilts!!!! Chocolate strawberries was so sweet and delicious. Strawberries by themselves were fragrant. Then Muller Chocolate Co. We got a variety of truffles and chocolate covered pretzels. As a tourist I definitely recommend these places but I do say go and look around and try things that you might fancy! There is plenty

Oh my. What an incredible place to get a true taste of Philly. From cheesesteaks and pretzels to baked goods and fresh meats and veggies - there’s something around every corner! Enjoyed a fresh pressed juice, bagels and donuts while we strolled. Bought some local libations home with us. Can’t wait to go try some more spots throughout the market

A must visit! TONS of vendors and delicious food throughout the building. Anything you could want, it’s going to be in here. I loved the neon signs and how much there was throughout. Great deals galore, and everyone was friendly and helpful if you had a question. I wish I had something like this closer to home; I would visit Philly again just to come Back here!

Our favourite place in Philly! Open everyday from 8am-6pm. If you visit Philly, this is a MUST! Gets very busy on weekends and it’s sometimes difficult to move around because of how narrow some of the aisles are. There are so many food options here, from Vegan food, cookies, doughnuts, delis, cheese and chocolate boutiques. There are washrooms here and some very limited seating.

What a cultural gem. From cheese steaks, to pastry shops, candy stores, groceries, seafood & meat markets, Amish diner, smoothies, gifts, and more. Prices range from fair to touristy. It's clean, including the restrooms, the service is kind, and the options are endless.

Museums
Eastern State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood, is a gothic-style prison that has been transformed into a popular attraction. The prison once housed notorious individuals like Al Capone and Willie Sutton. Visitors can take tours of the historic cell blocks and explore the haunting architecture of the penitentiary. The museum offers a glimpse into the lives of those imprisoned within its walls, including a look at Al Capone's lavishly furnished cell.
I’ve attended both a daytime tour and Terror Behind the Walls on separate occasions, and each visit was incredible. The guided daytime tour shared fascinating insights into the prison’s influence on the criminal justice system, and Terror Behind the Walls—both times—was an unforgettable experience. The option to be tapped by staff for access to hidden passages added an extra thrill that was absolutely worth it. Even with light sensitivity and a nervous system prone to panic, I found Eastern State to be both accommodating and endlessly impressive. A truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Stephanie — Google review
The eastern State penitentiary is a great self guided walking tour. The tour starts with audio headphones and nine points of interest that you can listen to. However, you can walk at your own pace and get through the museum in roughly an hour.
Carlos U — Google review
One of the coolest and creepiest places I’ve ever visited! The Eastern State Penitentiary is massive, and walking through the old cell blocks feels like stepping into a movie set. The audio guide is honestly the best way to experience this place—it’s super engaging and really brings the history to life. The fact that Al Capone’s cell is here just makes it even more unreal. I ended up spending almost 3 hours exploring because there’s so much to see. If you’re in Philly, this is hands down a must-see—history, mystery, and a little bit of spookiness all in one.
Rana S — Google review
We came to see the Mütter Museum, but we couldn't leave without experiencing Eastern State. This was truly the highlight of our trip. This place is remarkable, and it's difficult to convey just how surreal it felt to be there. We opted for the self-guided tour without audio to fully absorb everything it offers within its quiet, cool halls. We plan to return, as this destination certainly warrants multiple visits.

This is my third time being in Philly (I feel like it’s pretty rare for tourists to visit Philly three times, but I do love this city). This was a real hidden gem and one of my favourite things I’ve experienced in this city. The audio tour, architecture, and atmosphere is truly captivating. WELL worth the $21 honestly.

Really cool self guided tour. It’s nicer when it’s not as packed (obviously) so you can spend as much time as you want in each place. The tour is voiced by Steve Buscemi which I don’t know why but that was just hilarious to me. Buy tickets online for a few bucks off the price.

Prison known to have housed infamous inmates such as Al Capone and Slick Willie. Did the audio guide tour which was good enough. You learn about the type of prisoners that passed through here; some petty crimes others not so much. The design of the prison is rather interesting. The cells tell a story! Different type of attraction, which is worth visiting.

There was an event on our day of visiting however they set up guided tours instead. The gravity and history are amazing. The displays bring to light the stark differences in our country's policing and view on incarceration. Definitely an educational tour and worth your time.

The Barnes Foundation is a treasure trove of art and culture, featuring an extensive collection of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modern art. Visitors can admire works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, and Matisse alongside African sculptures, Native American textiles, metalwork, Grecian urns, and other eclectic antiquities.
This is a wonderful hidden gem. Most people tend to visit the famous art museum, and they pass by this amazing museum on their way, but don't pay it attention. I must have passed it myself a hundred times, maybe more. But not on this day. We arrived and were surprised even before entering the building. The most amazing evergreens, s beautiful pond, very serene. Inside, tons of Monet, Renoir, Picasso. Works of amazing, famous artists within an arms reach. Very powerful. We will definitely return, perhaps even make it an annual event.

Wonderful art collection - never seen so many Renoir and Cezanne paintings in one gallery before, except in special exhibitions. Also really liked the architecture of the gallery itself. I took a paid tour of the current special Rousseau exhibition and the docent (Wendy?) was fantastic - so much knowledge and shared in a great storytelling way.

A beautiful building that contains rooms with art from an amateur collector. Mostly European art that is hung precisely how the owner of the art intended to hang This museum can become very busy so be mindful of buying your ticket. The restaurant has a beautiful garden but the menu was a bit lacking in interesting food items.

We loved our visit to the Barnes! Due to the size/scope of the collection, and how it is displayed, I highly recommend the Private Collection Tour with a docent to guide your experience. Our docent guide was amazing, super knowledgeable, and made sure we saw all of the pieces that we were most excited about (the Renoirs) during our tour. The collection is obviously incredible, but hearing the back story behind certain acquisitions, Mr. Barnes himself, and the relocation to the Parkway, was invaluable. If you're going to visit the collection, I strongly encourage upgrading to the Private Tour, and don't forget to stop by the gift shop downstairs on your way out! They have some great stuff!!

If you love the Impressionists, THIS is where you must go. The collection is just mind-bending and achingly beautiful. I’m no art expert, but found it really moving. We spent several hours here, but if you really know art, I’m sure you could spend a day. It’s across the street from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, so hit them both.

Unique museum with an eclectic collection and unusual displays. Lots of Cezanne, some Van Goghs, Renoirs. Also midieval, African, and some Asian ceramics. Photos are allowed but they have an app that will email you images of the artwork you scan using the app. Not every piece of art is scannable yet though. The staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit.

Very peaceful art museum. A must-visit if you are an impressionism art fan! We were there during the Henri Rousseau exhibition and it was very educational and enjoyable.

If you like impressionism, particularly Renoir and Cézanne, you absolutely positively have to come here. It’s a really great collection. You’ll probably want to buy a ticket in advance. You can schedule a tour. They offer quite a few different types of tours and they’re all really interesting. First class. The site restaurant is also quite nice. It was nice to go to take a break.

The Franklin Institute is a vibrant and family-friendly science museum in Philadelphia, offering numerous interactive exhibits and displays, as well as a planetarium. It is one of the region's most popular science museums with a wide array of kid-friendly exhibitions. Visitors can explore the abundance of museums and historical attractions in Greater Philadelphia, play in the city's expansive parks and playgrounds, and reconnect with animals and nature. Additionally, the institute features an outdoor spot on its fifth floor that offers breathtaking views of the city.
I love this museum. There are sooooo many things to look and very interactive. I spent almost the whole day to visit all the sections and enjoyed very much. There are good shows at different time too. Highly recommend The Sky Tonigh. One of the best ones I ever watched in a museum. The Liquid air show was also fun. Kids would definitely love it. One negative thing is the stuff in the gift shop is pretty expensive, and lots of them don't have a price.

Very cool place. Full of cool things to keep us adults and my daughter intrigued. The Eatery was a nice way to break up the day and grab some food. Parking garage was easy to use too.

Best museum ever! It's so educational! My two favorite exhibits of the museum were the live show and the heart! I was so amazed by the heart exhibit that I went three times! The love shows that the guy did the liquor, and the air was so cool. I learned that nitrogen can exist in three states: liquid, solid, and gas, and the sheep heart dissection was fascinating. I thoroughly enjoy myself in the museum. Please take your kids to it and read all the signs and interact with the exhibit!
Esthefany V — Google review
The best museums are the ones like Franklin! It is structurally appealing to look at from the outside, and it looks great. The tickets are the usual price for an attraction like this and are discounted for kids. It's one of the most interactive museums I've ever been to. There were so many different exhibits to see and things to do, so I couldn't do it all in a few hours. Would 100% recommend for a rainy day or overall activity to spend with or without kids. I believe the sports section is temporary, but that was my personal favorite!
Lyla F — Google review
Love this place. Very cool for kids and adults. The one downside is the parking ticket situation. If you're a member, you have to bring the parking ticket inside to the customer service desk for validation in order to get the discount. It would be more convenient to self validate at the parking kiosk using your membership card/number. If you forget you ticket you have to go into the parking lot and the all the way back into the building to get it validated. Very inconvenient for big families with lots of small children. If you forget your ticket your out $25. There should be a work around for when members lose their tickets. Also, note, we went on a Wednesday. Lots of school trips. This is helpful if you have small children who might get trampled in the shuffle of big kids.

I grew up with the Franklin Institute—memberships, school field trips, invention camp, even a 50th birthday party. Now, I bring my own kids and share in the same joy of hands-on, engaged learning. We love the iconic walk-through heart and the massive train you can actually board and explore. The museum is packed with interactive exhibits that invite kids (and adults) to hands on tinker, and discover. The rotating special exhibits are always top-notch, and the permanent ones continue to hold their value over time. On our most recent visit, we stumbled into the planetarium—what a treat. The 15–20 minute constellation show was a great new experience, and my kids gave it a big thumbs up. Highly recommend this best in class museum. We’ll keep coming back—forever and ever.

I picked up a Philadelphia City Pass earlier this year, and by August we finally decided to cash it in. Three outings crammed into nine days: because why pace yourself when you can binge museums like they’re a Netflix series? First stop was the Franklin Institute, a place I hadn’t visited since childhood. Back then it felt like a temple of science and wonder. As an adult, it still has its magic, but it’s more of a mixed bag: part awe, part “well, that could certainly use some WD-40.” The day started off smooth. The City Pass check-in was easy, and the whole place never felt oppressively crowded. We could take our time at exhibits without standing in lines or being elbowed aside. And the good stuff was genuinely good: that massive steam locomotive in the collection hall is still jaw-dropping, the revamped optical illusions section is both playful and a little disorienting, and the “Your Brain” exhibit was hands-down the star of the day. It managed to be both engaging and eerie—the neuron model in particular was mesmerizing, glowing webs of activity that looked like they’d been lifted from the Upside Down. The kids were hypnotized; pulling them away from it felt like trying to separate a teenager from Wi-Fi. The iconic walk-through heart is still around, a bit dated but endearing in a “retro science fair” sort of way. Even the cafeteria pulled off a minor miracle with fruit, whole-grain snacks, and prices that didn’t require selling a kidney. The building itself, though, might outshine everything else. Between the soaring dome, the columns, the tucked-away crown molding, and the ceilings painted like quiet treasures, it’s a place where you almost forget you’re there to look at exhibits because the walls themselves are art. But let’s not romanticize it too much. The parking garage was cramped, overpriced, and about as relaxing as driving through a car wash with your windows down. Once inside, the museum’s layout was a mess. Poor signage, confusing hallways—it would’ve been easy to miss entire sections if we weren’t deliberately combing through. And let’s talk about security—or rather, the lack of it. No bag checks, no real staff presence, just the feeling that you could wander around unmonitored forever. Efficient, yes, but also unnerving. And the interactive exhibits? A letdown. Too many broken or outdated to the point of embarrassment. Nothing ruins the energy of discovery like hammering on a button only to watch it sputter out a dim, apologetic light. A lot of these things desperately need tuning, updating, or straight-up replacing. The “special exhibit” was the final insult: some “wonders of the body” deal that cost $20 extra. It looked as thrilling as reading medical pamphlets in a waiting room. I couldn’t help but compare it to when I was a kid and the Institute was showcasing Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs—life-size, in-your-face, unforgettable. Once you’ve seen animatronic T-Rexes roar down at you, a hallway of anatomy posters just doesn’t cut it. So we saved our money. And while I was happy to linger, read, and soak up information, I could see the attention spans of kids wearing thin. For every moment of excitement, there were two where the pace slowed to plaque-reading mode…and not every child is built for that kind of grind. All told, the Franklin Institute is still a worthwhile stop. It has genuine moments of awe, especially in its architecture and a handful of exhibits that really land. But the cracks show: broken equipment, lack of staff, and a general sense of being behind the times. It feels like a place leaning on nostalgia and reputation instead of being fully polished for the present. A few updates, working buttons, and maybe a return to bold, thrilling special exhibits would restore the magic. Until then, it’s a mix of marvels and missed opportunities, equal parts temple of science and cautionary tale in museum maintenance.
Ash S — Google review
The Franklin Institute was very fun and engaging. We didn’t have as much time as we would have liked and didn’t get to see anything in the planetarium but the rest of the place was great. The sports area was fun, a few things were broken unfortunately. But overall we had a great time would be awesome for kids from like 5+ I’d guess. Our baby seemed to enjoy tho as well. We used a go city pass for entry that went really smooth.

Visitors can recreate the famous scene by running up the steps leading to the museum, just like Sylvester Stallone did in the movie.
Awesome view of the beautiful City! I did the historical Rocky run up the stairs. The architecture is amazing! A must see when in Philadelphia!

Definitely an iconic attraction if you ever watched Rocky. The steps did seem more arduous in the movie. However, with me being out of shape, I was exhausted walking up them. Lol.

Interesting finding: there are actually 2 Rockies, one Statue is easy accessible and moveable, if needed, open for public, and stands on top of the Rocky Stairs to the Museum (on my pic below) but there is a second Rocky Statue - nearby on ground level hidden among trees and this one is the original one!

I had an absolute blast at the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art! Of course, I had to channel my inner Rocky, run up those steps, and snap a selfie at the top, cue the Rocky theme music in my head. Afterwards, I sat and watched wave after wave of people doing the same. Some made it like true champions, others had to stop halfway and “go the distance” just to catch their breath. 🤣😂Such an awesome and iconic Philly experience. Yo Adrian, I did it!

Museums
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a grand and iconic space known for its impressive entry staircase and Renaissance masterpieces. Situated at the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, it consists of three buildings, including the Rodin Museum and the Perelman Building. Housing over 240,000 artifacts and artworks, such as sculptures, paintings, armor, and decorative arts from various civilizations around the world. The museum is one of the largest and most visited in the world.
It has a beautiful collection of different ages and cultures. Start from the top floor and, most probably, you will spend there most of your day in the museum. There are unique pieces of European Medieval Art, Asian Art, and American period. It's like swimming in the waves from one culture to another. Another thing which is notable about this museum is that it tries hard to recreate the atmosphere of each period and culture through bringing up of their correspondent architectural authentic elements which fills the rooms with distinctive spirit of each place. It's a definitely nice place to visit for Art & Culture lovers.

This is a must visit when in Philadelphia. Gorgeous museum filled with inspiring artifacts. There are so much to see , and you can get lost inside, since it was our first time here, it took us a while to figure it out how to exit the exhibits. We had a great time inside the museum , spent hours inside the museum enjoyed everything we saw, only wished we had more time to spend here. Tickets pricing are reasonable with military enter for free at certain times. Friendly and attentive staff. Great location. Can arrive on one of the city bus tours as well.

I haven't been to the museum since I was in 8th grade. The experience of the museum inside was great. No complaints. But upon entering and purchasing my admission ticket, I had tapped my card. On the screen that faced me, it read "approved". But the lady behind the ticket counter told me it was "declined". I thought that was odd considering my side said it wasn't. And she insisted that it was declined. So I tapped my card several more times and then finally on the 4th time it was approved. I found it weird but continued my visit into the museum. As I was getting ready to leave, I checked my bank statement through my app and right there it said I was charged twice for my admission. 2 charges for $30. So I stopped at the ticket counter on my way out and they denied me any kind of help with returning my money, even though I showed them right there On my phone that they had charged me twice for one admission. They told me basically they can't do anything about it and that my bank statement wasn't proof enough basically. And then told me to contact my bank because it wasn't their problem. I thought it was rude and inconsiderate, when they were the ones who charged me twice and the proof was right in front of them. I walked away and immediately called my bank. Thank God they are amazing and saw what the museum did and were able to stop it as a duplicate charge. I really don't know what their (museum staff) problem was or why they were rude about it as if I was not being truthful. Even though I showed them right there, that they charged me twice. So I would pay attention to your bank statements when purchasing your admission tickets. Other than that, the museum is a beautiful place to visit and the rest of the staff throughout the museum was friendly and extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. So I will give 4 stars for the rest of my experience. 😊

Climbing up the grand staircase felt like stepping into an ancient Roman temple! ⛪️ The museum’s interior is full of brilliant design details — even the elevator has a striking, unforgettable look. ✨ Behind it, the Phillips Fountain offers a perfect view of City Hall, making it a great photo spot! 📸 You can also find Monet’s Sunflowers here 🌻 — and learn about the meaning behind the Chinese phrase “Five Blessings Arrive at the Door” (五福臨門), symbolizing happiness, longevity, health, virtue, and peace. 🍀

This museum offers art from many periods that are nothing short of exquisite! There are four floors of exhibits. I recommend to start at the third floor and work your way down. There are stairs and elevators for those who are handicapped. The third floor offers armor, European Art from the Medieval period to roughly 1850 as well as Asian Art. Not only are art pieces displayed, but also parts of buildings to showcase the artful architecture of Europe and Asia. The second floor includes contemporary European and American artworks. Paintings, sculptures, and displays make up most of the floor, each demonstrating the variety of creativity the modern mind can produce. The first floor encompasses the special exhibit and American Art up to the early nineteenth century with and emphasis on Pennsylvania art and furniture. The gift shops are also on this floor, featuring exceptional books, prints, magnets, stickers, and other souvenirs one may take home with them. The ground floor includes some African and Asian artwork from a special exhibit of artistic clothing. The security people did not make you feel uncomfortable (in fact, many were welcoming). Overall, this is a museum that one has to check out if they are in the Philadelphia area. Be prepared to spend four hours there at least if you like looking at every single item!

One of the best museums I've experienced in the states! It's very big, nice, clean, and a lot of collections that you might want to see desperately! And they offer 15$ per adult every Friday night with DJ/ music stuff. Absolutely love going to Balic Winery. The selection of wines is impressive, offering something for every palate, from rich reds to crisp whites. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating that makes for a perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass. The owners are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft, making the experience even more enjoyable. Love their European charm and passion for their wines.

This is a nice, family-owned winery that unlike many North Jersey wineries, actually makes smooth, drinkable red wines with a full body and nice finish. The longer growing season in South Jersey (which is actually in different hardness zone than north Jersey) allows for reds to mature. Just go there!

Wonderful first visit to Balic Winery in Mays Landing, NJ. Such lovely knowledgeable hosts, beautiful grounds and excellent wines. Country Red and Huckleberry were our favorites. Lots of unique flavors and blends. Very laid back and relaxing atmosphere, so welcoming. We will certainly go back many times. Bring in your own food and enjoy on their beautiful back patio or inside….plus super dog friendly inside and out.

Great place to relax and enjoy! Great selection of wines and very friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating, can bring in food or order from nearby restaurants. Relaxed atmosphere and great for small or large groups. Free wine tastings and reasonable prices for bottles.

Great selection of well thought out and created wines. It's great to talk with the owner and learn about their history and the different wine. We always leave with a mixed case.
