Lighthouses
Chatham Lighthouse, located on the southeastern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, is a historic landmark that has been guiding ships since 1808. It was originally built as part of a pair in 1877 before one was relocated in 1923. The area's transformation from a fishing village to a seaside resort began with the establishment of Hotel Chatham in 1890.
The lighthouse and Coast Guard ship were both very cool. Don't let the fact that Google says it's closed fool you - you just can't go inside the lighthouse but you can see everything and it's really incredible. The beach is stunning. If you take a little walk down onto the beach you can see the Great White Shark caution sign - it's a little hard to get a picture without walking down to it but the walk isn't too bad.
Connie P — Google review
Iconic, operational lighthouse with great views of the Chatham sand bars, dunes, and coves. Historically dangerous for ships, the bones of old ship skeletons sometimes become visible due to the ever-shifting sands. Swimming can be hazardous due to strong currents in the channel, with many warnings posted. Visited on a Sunday, so the lighthouse was closed for tours (open on Wednesdays with tickets), but it was still well worth the stop for viewing!
Erika M — Google review
We visited on a gorgeous day in mid September. Off season there is plenty of parking and not many people on the beach. It is such a peaceful way to spend the afternoon.
Renee — Google review
Got to take a tour through a friend with Navy connections. I do not believe it is open to the public generally, but if you contact them you may be able to arrange for a visit. Very beautiful and a great view!
Caroline D — Google review
The lighthouse is situated at the south east point of Cape Cod, in very aglomerated city Chatham. During the weekend it may be tough to find any parking lot, just wait a little, the flow is fast. The lighthouse itself is closed to the public, and is gated, you can't approach it, but you can see it very clear and the ocean views are beautiful.
Rose D — Google review
We had gone in the early evening so we were not able to go up to the lighthouse. It is surrounded by a chainlink fence. The US Coast Guard is the ones who look after it so there were no trespassing signs.
Kristina M — Google review
Very pretty area, nicely kept. We went on a weekday so the scenic view wasn’t too packed.
Brittney G — Google review
The Light House was fine but parking at the spot was very expensive ( no matter how you stayed, parking fee was $25! Beach was very close by it.

Nauset Beach is a stunning 10-mile stretch of sandy paradise located in Orleans, Massachusetts. This beach offers an array of activities such as swimming, fishing, and surfing in designated areas. While Nauset Beach South features longer trails that are perfect for exploration, the nearby Nauset Spit is a favorite among locals looking to enjoy a day by the sea. Visitors can revel in the excitement of big waves while collecting colorful rocks or even hunting for shark teeth along the shore.
Gorgeous beach !! You can walk along the coastline for a long distance Parking cost 30$, we also saw seals, beware of sharks, also waves can get very big but nonetheless it was breathtaking
Jessica — Google review
Wonderful ‘full-service’ Atlantic side beach with crashing waves, sand, and amenities. Parking is not free (pay at entrance to lot). Lot is very spacious, so easy to find parking even on a Saturday in July! Also virtually empty until noon - although it was an overcast morning. Even afternoon there was plenty of space to spread out. Sand is soft for New England but still has small rocks. There is an adorable food truck circle with gazebo and picnic tables. 3 food trucks (burgers, burritos, paninis, iced coffee, good but pricy! $15 turkey sandwich??), 1 ice cream truck, and 1 souvenir stall (only 2 food trucks were open tho). This beach has plenty of flush toilets, portapotties, changing stalls, showers, and foot washes. They post daily weather info and tide times outside main office. Lifeguards arrived around 9am. Lots of seals at this beach, which is very neat to watch, but it also means that white shark presence is real. Take appropriate precautions (don’t swim near seals or at dawn/dusk). Very happy that Park Ranger Ron was patrolling the beach making sure nobody tried to harass or touch the seals, as they do get very close to shore and swimmers. Only downside here is that the bathrooms were quite dirty, both the ladies’ and men’s room had many clogged or broken toilets, out of soap, and other nastiness left in the changing stalls.
A N — Google review
I love this beach. Perfect sand, waves, it's clean, bathrooms available. The 4 star is for the price during the day. Everything has gotten very expensive. If you come during the day pack into a minivan or something. Pay by car. We tend to go after 4pm when it's free. You still get some good sun, crowds are typically gone and there is plenty of parking. Not to mention the moon rise is very nice.
T.J. S — Google review
Great beach. Friendly patrons, clear blue water. $30 something to park. But we'll worth it! Sea lions, whales and sharks. But they're a distance away. So long story short great family fun!
Alfred J — Google review
Gorgeous beach with tons of parking and changing areas. TONS of beautiful rocks to collect!!! You might want to wear water shoes if you have sensitive feet because the rocks are abundant at the edge of the water. Keep an eye out for plenty of seals in the water! They don't stay visible for long, so it can be challenging to catch a picture of them. Off season, there's no fee to park and you'll have far less people on the beach.
Deb S — Google review
We love Nauset. Plenty of parking, bathrooms are ok, beach is clean, waves are awesome, food trucks available.
J L — Google review
Parking is 33 a day, you can pay for a week long pass for a discount. Lots and lots of parking but not all of it is a short walk. Always see seals in the water which is fun to see. Beware of sharks! However there was a sighting this week, & the lifeguards travel up and down the beach with a flag on the back of truck! Waves are big!! Water shoes are probably a good idea. Rocky I'm the water! Very clean beach!

Marconi Beach

Marconi Beach is a picturesque and historic destination located in Wellfleet, offering scenic hiking paths, a bicycle trail, and an observation platform. The beach is famous for being the site of the world's first trans-Atlantic communication and has a 40-foot coastal bluff that provides stunning views. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, surfing, surfcasting, and long walks along the glorious stretch of Cape Cod National Seashore.
Marconi Beach in Massachusetts is truly a gem of the Cape Cod National Seashore. My recent visit there left me in awe of its stunning beauty. The white sand is incredibly soft and pristine, stretching for miles along the Atlantic coast. It's the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun or a leisurely walk along the shoreline. One of the standout features of Marconi Beach is its dramatic dunes. These towering sand formations provide a picturesque backdrop and make you feel like you're in a serene, untouched paradise. The waves are gentle enough for swimming, but there's still enough surf to keep things interesting for those who enjoy bodyboarding. The beach is also relatively uncrowded, even during peak season, which adds to its charm. There are plenty of spots to set up your towel and umbrella without feeling cramped. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with convenient access to restrooms and outdoor showers. Parking is ample, and the walk from the parking lot to the beach is short and scenic. I also appreciated the informative signs about the area's history and wildlife, which added an educational element to the visit. Overall, Marconi Beach is a must-visit if you're in Massachusetts. Its breathtaking beauty, tranquility, and excellent amenities make it a perfect destination for a day trip or a longer stay. I can't wait to go back!

An amazing beach at cape coral national seashore. Plenty of seals are visible in the area. Beware of sharks.
Julian M — Google review
Beautiful beach on the Atlantic with nice rollers about 4’ great for boogie boarding. A few surfers out but short rides. Water is cold around 60 degrees! Seals in the water; lifeguard flying shark flag (seen in last 24 hours but no imminent threat)! Beautiful colors in the water as you gaze out to the horizon and soft sand!
Kurt A — Google review
Beautiful clean beach with a dogs-allowed section. But it was very hot and there is a lot of stairs, so be sure to bring an umbrella, lots of drinking water, and a cooling vest if your dog is older or sensitive to heat. We also saw a seal swimming so close, it was amazing. There is a shower-off station that we were able to rinse ourselves & our guy off at before we left. If you ever visit Cape Cod with your dog you must check it out.
Natalie S — Google review
This is a weird beach. The sand is super hot, the water is super cold, and the shoreline (where ocean meats the land) is full of incredibly sharp giant rocks and shells. I didn't know that when coming and cut the crap out of my foot. Still, it was very beautiful and the cold water was really invigorating. If I had water shoes I would give it 4 stars.
Stuart D — Google review
Beautiful beach and amazing parking. The beach has bathrooms and water available. There are a lot of steps that go down to the beach, so be prepared for that. It is fun to play in the ocean and there’s so a lot of sand and relatively few rocks! Go! The beach is huge!

The Nantucket Whaling Museum, housed in an 1846 candle factory, offers a captivating journey into the island's maritime history. It features a 46ft sperm whale skeleton and exhibits that vividly depict Nantucket's role as the world's whaling center in the 19th century. Visitors can marvel at scrimshaw displays, interactive exhibits, and preserved artifacts while learning about the courageous sailors who ventured out to sea in pursuit of whales.
Wow! This is a fantastic museum. My son and I arrived at 9 am and had the whole incredible place to ourselves. When it’s said it’s bigger on the inside, that is this museum. It keeps going and does a beautiful job telling the story of whaling in area.
Jennifer K — Google review
We went midday Monday in early June. We enjoyed the live lecture. It’s pretty and you see where the $25/person fee goes. They keep it very nice. If you’re not really interested in Nantucket whaling of the 19th century save your money and go buy a $15 ice cream across the street but if you like local history then this is your place. Watch or read In the Heart of the Sea before visiting and you’ll enjoy it more.
Genea R — Google review
It’s a nice museum. Lots of history. You could spend a good 1-2 hours here. The rooftop is nice and relaxing. You get access to other historic points on the island when you buy your ticket for the museum. I’m just not into this as much as my husband is lol. The gift shop was surprisingly decently priced.
Katie R — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit to the Nantucket Whaling Museum. It was very interesting to learn not just the history of whaling, but also how it created and changed Nantucket.
Cari R — Google review
We absolutely enjoyed our visit as a family of 4 on a pass. Minutes from the ferry it was a interesting exhibit. The observation deck was a lovely surprise as well as the Discovery Center for our little. In hindsight, we would have given the kiddo more time in that area. One adult should have stayed with the kid and the others could have ventured to nearby shops and then swapped. The little one keeps asking if we can go back to the “Big Whale place.” Great at offering something for the whole family that is educational and interesting.
Cindy — Google review
This is an awesome museum!! Great presentations. I learned so much about the history of whaling and Nantucket. A must do while in Nantucket! Military is free! Thank you!
Dana S — Google review
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Museum. My brother and I were on the island for the day and thoroughly enjoyed our time touring the exhibits and chatting with the informative and attentive staff. I want to give a special shout out and thank you to Karen, who not only gave a fantastic history of whaling presentation, but also helped us with an excellent restaurant recommendation for lunch (Brotherhood of Thieves).

Cisco Brewers is a beloved rustic brewery on the island, known as the happiest place by many. It's the sole craft beer brewery there and features a vast beer garden where visitors can savor local brews like Wandering Haze, Gripha IPA, Grey Lady Wheat Ale, and Whales Tale Pale Ale while enjoying live music and delicious snacks from food trucks. The site also offers tours of its facilities before treating guests to delightful drinks and live music.
A great place to spend an afternoon. I was here in March and they had heated enclosures over their tables and chairs. They offer terrific beers and have distillery options as well. A chill place to relax.
Keith H — Google review
We had the best time at Cisco Brewers! They have it all - beer, wine, liquor and food trucks. And live music! I tried a few beers at the beginning - love having the option to taste before I commit! My third time to the bar I asked Ty to pick one for me, and I can't remember the name but it was delicious! Light and crisp, perfect for the weather. A few friends did beer flights, a friend had the blueberry lemonade, and another friend had some wine - it was nice to have something for everyone. We had a group of 7 and were able to find a table - it definitely fills up (and we were there in the off-season), but they have an indoor and outdoor area (both pretty big). The Lobster Trap truck was there - lobster rolls and clam chowder were delicious and the guys in the truck were super great! There also was at least 1 if not 2 other trucks - again, we love options. Special shout out to Ty for the beer suggestions and Kian for his shot flavor choice to round out our lovely afternoon here :)
Mary M — Google review
Loved this spot in nantucket - from varying alcohol options to great food to top live entertainment, I was well satisfied over the whole afternoon. Definitely a must visit when you’re on the island!
Rovik R — Google review
Cool hang out spot. Beers are about $8. We enjoyed a hazy IPA and a fruity sour. The not so fruity sour is kombucha forward but still tasty. It takes 2-3 years to make! Good place for groups, if you arrive early enough to get a table together. We were there about 4pm on a Monday in early June and it was pretty full. Food trucks with lots of variety, beer, cocktails, and live music.
Genea R — Google review
Cisco Brewers is amazing -everything abt it makes you smile and want more. Great music, food, people and of course, beer, wine and spirits. We visit every time we are on island!
Jaye D — Google review
Cisco is a great spot. Attached are the current menus of the various food truck options. I am missing the raw bar menu, it had 6 or so items all normal things.
Gavin E — Google review
Had such a fun time here our first night back in Nantucket! Love the live band playing classic rock that got everyone dancing and singing along. Neither of us drank but that didn’t matter cause it had amazing food options and we loved the oysters and tuna sliders we bought. Very convenient for us coming by bike.
Emily L — Google review
Great spot Friday and Saturday late afternoons. We like to stop by grab food from the trucks, get a coctail, and listen to some live music. Some nights are better than another, and all depends on the band and the crowd. Place is kids and dog friendly, so is mad house inside. Drinks are fine, and beer is good. Prices are friendly. Huge parking lot and a shuttle available.

Commercial Street is a fun street to walk. Lots of interesting little nooks and crannies to explore. We visited in the off season with temperatures in the 40s and sometimes rainy. Lots of shops and restaurants were closed but that’s an OK trade off for the lack of crowds. Fortunately we had a parking space with our accommodations but even in the slow time parking was awful. Wouldn’t want to deal with it in the summer! That said it’s a cool town that anyone visiting Cape Cod should see. We loved it!

I absolutely love Commercial Street. We’ve been coming to P-Town since 1989. We’ve seen iconic restaurants like Oceans, Withering Heights and Napi’s close but there are always other wonderful restaurants to enjoy like Grand Central, Bubbulas, the Bay. Miss seeing the beautiful yarn at Purl and the Women’s Shop but there are wonderful shops, friendly people and fantastic Drag Show, comedy and music at the Crown and Anchor and Burlesque Shows, Drag Shows and music at the Post Office Cafe.

Worth spending at least 2 days here if u settle ur mind to open up for new discovery. There r hotels in the middle of st. It feels like you r in a suburban town but w/ a busy colorful street that got everything u need for entertainment. Theres bikes for rental, traveling at the area not just the commercial st can grab a taste of being a resident here.

The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum is a historic site honoring the Mayflower Pilgrims, featuring a 252-ft. granite monument with panoramic views of the city and harbor. Visitors can climb to the top for stunning vistas of town, beaches, and the Lower Cape. The climb consists of 116 steps and 60 ramps, offering an exhilarating experience without being too scary.
This experience exceeded expectations. The site includes two museum galleries covering the Mayflower and town’s history, plus a small gift shop and an elevator connecting the monument and the town below. Climbing to the top of the Pilgrim Monument via the spiral ramp is highly recommended—it offers an amazing panoramic view of the coastline and town. The climb is quicker than expected and absolutely worth it.
Stella Z — Google review
Beautiful summer day and a fun stop after lunch to explore some the Pilgrim monument and learn about some of the history . There is no wait when we got here on a weekday and we came straight through . It is a bit pricey but at the end of the day it’s part of the historical experience. There is an inclined elevator that slowly takes you up and back to the monument . We were the only ones in the elevator. Must have been lucky as it was a weekday . Views are great ones you arrive and there are benches to sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery . Definitely something to do for a first timer but would not do it a second time if I returned .
Michael A — Google review
The visit to the tower itself is not a particularly remarkable experience, nor is the view from the top especially impressive. It is a nice experience, but nothing extraordinary. However, the museum is truly worth visiting. It is extremely interesting and contains many fascinating details about the history of the town as well as the entire Cape. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
Matko H — Google review
Can't say anything about this place, except that the price for parking was $15, but I have seen probably free parking lots before entering their parking lot, from the left side. If you want even just to aproach and see the monument, you have to buy the tickets, and only then you will have access to the building itself. When we came from Boston, there was a private event there, and they closed earlier, I didn't plan to climb the tower, wanted just to approach and see it. There was no way, because the place is gated. It is open from April till November.

Perfect day to climb the monument. We loved that we paid to park at the monument, the toured the museum and took the tram down to the main shopping area and docks for the day. We then took the tram back up to the parking lot and headed home.
Linda W — Google review
Let me say I was skeptical about climbing to the top! No need for my concern, ramps and steps inside the tower make for a relatively easy climb to the top. I would highly recommend!
Dee S — Google review
Quite a hike to the top of the monument. Worth the trek though. Three sixty panoramic views of Provencetown and surrounding area. The tram to get to the monumet was good as well. Once you're done with the monument, be sure to go to the museum..it's excellant! Cheers

Highly suggest for families, or anyone visiting Provincetown. There’s a neat 45° elevator (located at the entrance) that takes you up to the area at the base of the tower. It’s a quick trip up, less than a minute, then you can go into the tower, and or the museum. There is a fee to get on the elevator, which covers the cost of the museum and tower. The tower takes a while to climb with stairs and angled ramps, but is worth the view at the top! My 3 and 5 year old enjoyed the museum as well. The museum has exhibits in there from polar bears, whales, other ocean life, but also history of the pilgrims and other neat things for everyone to enjoy. The entire family loved it here, even on a rainy day!

The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, located on Main Street in Hyannis, offers a more personal look at the 35th president of the United States compared to its larger counterpart in Boston. Visitors are greeted by a statue of a young JFK walking barefoot through beach grass.
This is a very interesting and informative museum about the life of John Kennedy and his family. We spent several hours walking through the museum and learning about the President and family members. From his childhood up to when he was assinated. There is also a section about the life of John Kennedy,Jr and the tragic plane accident which ended his an his wife lives. This is a must see museum when you are here.
Susan B — Google review
We went here on a rainy day. Best spot to park was the lot behind it. Trying to find parking otherwise would have been a chore. If you are a fan of JFK or American history, definitely stop in at least once. There are some videos as you go through, but it's basically a self-guided tour. It was a well-done presentation of his life and career, heavily flavored with his love of the Cape.

Excellent small museum with lots of information about family and covered a good part of entire life. Wonderful pictures and laid out nicely. Great Irish pub directly across the street.

Well worth seeing. Small museum but well laid out exhibits on the story of the Kennedy family and their home on Hyanasport. Special exhibits. When we were there the special exhibit focused on JFK Jr.

Ann and Janice were terrific! The museum brought back sad memories. But the displays were very ordinary with no pizazz. If it weren't for Janice and Ann being wonderful ambassadors to the museum, I'm not dure I'd remember much at all.

Well worth a visit. The ladies working behind the reception were very friendly and polite and have some good advice. The museum is detailed and covers all parts of JFK's life, along with his wife and his siblings. Many photographs and videos are on display and it is easy to park in the car park behind the museum (for free)

I really enjoyed this small, lovingly assembled museum. What makes it special is its focus on JFK's private life with his family, which you don't often see. It presents a new and very human perspective on a historical icon, highlighted by many beautiful and fascinating photos. Highly recommended.

Race Point Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline located in a picturesque natural area surrounded by dunes, lighthouses, and wildlife. While the beach offers breathtaking views and opportunities to spot seals, sea birds, and even whales, visitors should be cautious as Great White Sharks have been known to frequent the area. Despite this, shark attacks are rare in Massachusetts.
Absolutely gorgeous beach! Saw several seals swimming off the coast, not too crowded, plenty of parking. Amazing dunes as well!

Beautiful beach, cleanest icest water, ample parking. Can catch seals swimming by. Biting flies were nuisance though. Parking was $25.

A gorgeous view of the Cape Cod coast and white sandy beach makes this location ideal for a weekend nature outing. The scenic drive through the national park is soothing. Please note during off season such as late October through March -April facilities like restrooms maybe closed.

Great beach with plenty of parking. This beach tends to be fairly calm in terms of the waves. Some biting flies so wear bug spray!

Beautiful beach. Lots of parking. I actually rode a city bike here. Loved the serenity of the area.

This place was SO SO SO COOL! First of all, went pretty late in the afternoon, so no one was there to collect payment. We were just stopping in to see the water briefly, so that was a lovely surprise to not have to pay for a quick jaunt. Second, while the sand is a bit rough as far as soft cape beaches go, the rocks were UNREAL!! it was kind of high tide when we went so we didn’t get to dig for a lot of goodies, but the rocks were so colorful and smooth and ugh. Just perfect. Lastly, holy heck!!! We saw seals SO CLOSE TO THE SHORE!!! Kind of scary bc like, sharks (which we didn’t see), but wild to see nature so close up like this. We didn’t stay for “beaching”, but the wildlife here was incredible (we also saw a beautiful fox on the drive through the forested bit), and the facilities were clean!
Cass — Google review
An amazing beach. Watch out for sharks and seals. There is an app that you can use to see if sharks are nearby. Many of the local sharks have tags on them and are detected via the app. Talk to a local ranger. I definitely recommend this beach for swimming!

This beach is huge! Very beautiful with its super soft and well groomed sand. It’s a bit of a haul from the parking area, but the separation adds to the ambiance. We loved our visit there & would stop again. There were some coyotes at dusk so just keep an eye out.

South Beach, also known as Katama Beach, is a popular 3-mile barrier strand located about 4 miles south of Edgartown on Katama Road. It offers heavy wave action and sweeping dunes, making it an ideal spot for beachgoers. The area provides relatively ample parking space and can be accessed by bike path or shuttle. Some sections of the beach are patrolled by lifeguards, and there are scattered toilet facilities available.
Pristine, tranquil and family friendly. Even though it’s not very swimmable here, it’s my go-to beach during my stay at Edgartown. It’s just so therapeutic in so many ways. I haven’t seen any drunk people making scenes here. I haven’t seen anyone trashing this place. That 30 minute walk on the clean and somewhat dense sand with my loved ones remain one of core memories. Let’s keep it this way people.

The Sandwich Glass Museum in Sandwich, MA, USA, is a captivating destination that provides insight into the local glassblowing industry. The museum's exhibits and demonstrations offer a glimpse into the vibrant history of glassblowing in the region. Visitors can explore a variety of displays showcasing intricate glass artifacts and learn about the craftsmanship and creativity behind this art form. Additionally, the museum features engaging demonstrations of glass blowing techniques, providing an educational and entertaining experience for all who visit.
Visited here on a weekday. It wasn't busy since it was a beautiful spring day. I bought my ticket there, $14 for adults. If you are in the area, definitely stop in. The museum is very informative and has some great pieces. They have a live demonstration of a skilled worker blowing glass. When I visited, the gentleman made a mermaid tail. It was very impressive. Just beside the demonstration, there is a theater that gives a good history of the local glass factory. Very well done. The gift shop was amazing, and I will be back to purchase some pieces and some jewelry. So beautiful. For a small town, this museum was amazing. Definitely recommend stopping in.

This glass museum is truly worth a visit! From the outside, it may look small, but the interior is surprisingly spacious and filled with fascinating exhibits. The displays are rich and informative, showcasing both historical and artistic aspects of glassmaking. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights is the live glassblowing demonstration held at the top of every hour—an exciting and educational experience, especially for children. Highly recommended for families!

As always, a wonderful visit that continues to educate and inspire collectors and visitors who love glass. Rare and beautiful examples of 19th century glass that can still be found at local antique markets today. Great staff and helpful administrators who seek to ensure you see displays of interests including orientation film that showcases Sandwich Glass production and history. Glassblower demonstrations are fun to watch and reveal the complexities of glass production. Museum gift shop offers new and antique glass for sale. Conveniently located to restaurants, shops and hotels on Cape Cod.
Theresa C — Google review
Another must-see destination in Cape Cod! The museum’s historical significance reaches far back in time, showcasing how glass was once an essential part of daily life. I was fascinated to learn how it was molded into candle holders, lamp posts, and countless other practical uses. The glassblower’s live demonstration was outstanding, both educational and inspiring, and even sparked my interest in pursuing glass art as a hobby. My only suggestion would be for management to consider adding more staff in the gift shop during busy holiday weekends, as checkout was a bit slow. Overall, it was a wonderful and enlightening experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Cod.
Cydonie B — Google review
Interesting specialized museum for glass, specifically as it pertains to the historical development of glass making and production of glass products in Sandwich. The museum offers a live glassmaking demonstration at specified intervals during visitor hours, as well as an educational film every 30 minutes. The galleries house an impressive number of historic and more contemporary collections of glass originating in Sandwich. The museum hosts special exhibitions of significant glass artists during the year. Modest admission fee required. Free parking lot is available for museum visitors, as well an an overflow lot adjacent.

I had an incredible time at the Sandwich Glass Museum and was absolutely blown away. The most amazing part was the live glass-blowing demonstration, which was the coolest thing I've ever seen! I also loved how many of the exhibits were interactive, with some displays having sensors that would trigger a dialogue to tell you about the piece you were looking at. This made the experience fun for all ages. My son was so excited to take home a unique glass necklace he bought at the gift shop, which, just like the museum, was filled with beautiful and one-of-a-kind items.

Museums
Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich is a must-visit destination with its expansive rhododendron gardens and three galleries showcasing diverse collections. The largest garden in Southern New England, it also houses American cultural artifacts and hosts changing exhibits like the recent New England Impressionists Exhibit. With nature trails, a nature playground for kids, and a Shaker-style Round Barn displaying 40 antique autos, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The most amazing thing about this museum is the unique combination of a world-class antique car exhibition and a beautiful botanical garden with winding paths and hidden mazes. Getting there isn’t exactly easy — it took us nearly 40 minutes from Barnstable, and at times it felt like we might be going the wrong way. But don’t worry — just trust your GPS and keep going. The drive and the ticket price are absolutely worth it. If you start your exploration by walking clockwise, you’ll step straight into the past — the antique automobile collection is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Many of the cars are still in working condition, and through the glass you can even peek into the restoration garage where the magic happens. After that, you’ll enter the vast botanical gardens. The space is stunning — the landscape is thoughtfully maintained, and the diversity of plants is truly impressive. I’ve visited many botanical gardens, and this one definitely deserves a spot among the best. This museum is a fantastic place to visit with children, and you can easily spend several hours there without even realizing how fast time flies. Highly recommended for families, garden lovers, and car enthusiasts alike.

It’s a really nice day trip for adults. I don’t know how much fun younger kids or teens would have. - It’s a lot of walking. The auto museum is really nice. There are water bottle filling stations, and the water didn’t taste bad at all. Comfortable shoes. Sunblock if it’s sunny.
Paul A — Google review
Exceeded expectations. We went here based on a recommendation from a friend. Spent 2.5 hours and could have probably used more. Lots to see here and the place is well laid out and maintained. Gardens were glorious yet in late September. The auto museum is outstanding and the Cranberry history room was also very interesting.

The most amazing children's outdoor play area/discovery center. There was a stream with smooth rocks and a shallow waterfall where kids played bare feet + puppet stage + tree house + sand pit + musical instruments. All in a shaded grotto in the woods called Hidden Hollow. The most amazing part was I wasn't bitten by mosquitoes 🤯🤯 they set up propane mosquito magnets around the hollow. 15/10 recommend to everyone with young kids

One of the must-see places in Sandwich, with a new visitor entrance (ticketing, museum shop, visitor center and bathrooms); physically handicapped, elderly and stroller access via elevator; and system of carts available to transport people if they need some help to navigate the 100-acre grounds. Something here for everyone, from stunning landscape/gardens to antique cars or a beautiful working carousel. Lots of multi-generational families here enjoying themselves. I’ve visited the museum/gardens several times over the years and the place continues to develop and renew itself. The North American Hydrangea Test Garden is stunningly beautiful and the collection is certainly among the finest I’ve seen.

Plan to spend several hours here! Knowledgeable staff, breathtaking gardens, beautiful windmill, and diverse and stimulating Car Museum! Admission is 25 dollars per person. There are multiple restrooms located throughout. Definitely a unique experience to have!
Holly N — Google review
Fantastic gardens with meandering paths throughout. The entire entrance has been rejuvenated with paved parking lots and new buildings to purchase tickets, a shop, restrooms, and reception area. The automobile exhibit is exceptionally presented with contextual information...better than I've seen elsewhere.
Gerry G — Google review
Lovely grounds with lots to explore! The big statues were a huge hit with my kid and the cranberry exhibit was fascinating! There is something for everyone at this place, including a carousel and a vintage automobile exhibit. If you go in July, the hydrangeas are in full bloom and are simply gorgeous. Wheelchairs are available upon request although you cannot reserve one. We arrived about 20 minutes after the opened and had no trouble securing a wheelchair.

The Island Queen is a popular boat that offers a pleasant and comfortable cruise experience from Falmouth to Martha's Vineyard. The boat sails daily, taking about 35 minutes to cross the Vineyard Sound. It is the only cruise ship that regularly travels between Falmouth Harbor and Oak Bluffs. Travelers appreciate the ease of access and less hustle compared to other transportation options, making it an added bonus for day trips or vacations.
Very clean (including the bathrooms) and the staff very attentive and helpful. Suggest booking tickets on-line as it was almost a full house on the way there and 100% full on the way back. You can buy beer/wine/soft drinks/snacks onboard. Also, prepare for some heavy winds/rough surf. Overall, a beautiful ferry ride!))

Riding the Island Queen ferry to Martha's Vineyard was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Booking our tickets online was a breeze, and it was so convenient that we were able to bring our two dogs and our bikes along for the ride. The booking service was a lifesaver when our plans changed. We got caught up in the vineyard and needed to change our return time, which was a completely simple and stress-free process. The staff was very accommodating, and we were able to get on a later ferry without any trouble. The ride back to Falmouth was certainly memorable! We happened to be traveling during Hurricane Erin, and the seas were very choppy. However, the ferry's crew handled it with expert skill, powering through the rough waves to get us back to the Cape safely. It was a testament to their professionalism and the vessel's capability. We felt secure the entire time despite the weather. I highly recommend the Island Queen for a reliable, easy, and comfortable trip to and from Martha's Vineyard, especially if you're traveling with your pets and bikes.

What a beautiful trip to Martha's Vineyard. Please book tickets a few days in advance in August. The ship is in very good condition. Embarkation and disembarkation takes about 15 minutes each way. We were lucky with the weather, and the 1h trip each way was fantastic. Parking in Falmouth near the Ferry dock is a bit of a challenge; we parked on the other side of the harbor and it took us about 15 minutes to get to the dock.

We decided on a whim to a trip to Martha's Vineyard. On labor day weekend we went online to find a ferry that would take us and our ebikes. From the first visit to their site, to the phone call to confirm that bikes/ebikes were allowed (they are for $8 fee),to parking at a secondary site the staff was helpful and friendly. It was a great experience. Bike racks on the boat made the trip enjoyable. We spent the day and decided to leave earlier than our ticketed time. They rebooked us and again every staff member was helpful and friendly. We will use Island Queen again.

Our first round trip on this ferry! Parking was convenient in the lot a block away. We took our eBikes on board to Oak Bluffs and it was easy to board and exit on the outbound trip mid morning. The return trip in late afternoon was quite crowded. A big rush to board, and we ended up without seats. Luckily it a short 40 min voyage. The ship is clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. It’s a great way to visit Martha’s Vineyard!

Starting at the Steamship Authority Ferry Terminal and ending at Woods Hole in North Falmouth, this trail provides stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean shoreline and various landscapes such as cranberry bogs and marsh areas.
Big fan of this bike path! Very scenic, evenly leveled for the most part route. They have spray painted orange circles on large cracks throughout the trail and lots of signage throughout the trail. About 20 miles there and back from start to end. Free parking at the northern starting part. One porta potty and one water fountain. Recommend!

Super great bicycle trail, had a blast, return trip with some nooks and crannies was 23 miles. Maybe a little narrow on a busy day in some some sections where people congregate. The pathway was cool with trees, covering, through some marsh land, beach and getting down to the ferry area. Be careful near the marsh areas poison ivy so be careful if taking a rest to where you lean your bike. Was a great day and highly recommended. Suggest parking County Rd (151) fallmoth was near a little park.

Plimoth Patuxet Museums

Plimoth Patuxet Museums, formerly known as Plimoth Plantation, encompasses several historic sites, with the 17th-century English Village being the largest. This village is a faithful recreation of the Pilgrims' original settlement, complete with costumed actors and activities. The carefully chosen ground reflects the original topography and street layout. Visitors can explore replicas of key structures like the fort and houses of prominent figures from that era.
If you’re on the east coast you definitely should make this a required stop!!! Recommended to me by a friend. Well worth the visit. The workers /actors are very knowledgeable and stay in character as they work about the original pilgrim village sharing stories of hardship and hope and friendships with the native Indian tribes. They worked together. Helped one another. Amazing how they survived and had the courage to come to this land and courage to stay. Great gift should as well. The grounds are beautiful.
Michael H — Google review
The Mayflower II was a very cool experience! We did that first before going over to see Plymouth Rock. The Patuxet Museum is interesting. It is not at the original site. Instead it was built on an estate that was donated by a family. The history is there and the employees do a great job of fulfilling their roles by acting and speaking like the pilgrims and Native Americans did during that time. It is a pretty good hike to get around to the different areas of what used to be known as Plymouth plantation. What made it really work is the golf cart and the driver. He was excellent! He really went out of his way to be prompt and not only show us things but also tell us about them as we moved from site to site. I did think it was absolutely amazing that in the Native American area they are actually making canoes the way that they were made back in the day. And I loved the gardening and processing of the food that was occurring. Overall an excellent experience and you get the history of what it was like for the pilgrims to come. But really and truly the area just kind of throws it off. We had purchased a pass for all three events but at the end of the day we’re too tired to go to the grist Mill. We were hoping we would get to a point where we could just see it but it is very well hidden at the top of a hill.We did not end up making it there. Definitely hard to do this in an afternoon. You would likely need a day to get through all three or break it up into two separate 3-4 hour events.
Karis W — Google review
We brought a group here to take in the displays and enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner. It did not disappoint. We found the “docents” in the Patuxet and English villages to be very knowledgable and interesting. The interior displays were also well designed and easy to explore. Our group hired Plentiful Catering to provide our traditional Thanksgiving meal and it was magnificent. Special thanks to Janet and Erin for helping to arrange a most enjoyable visit.

If you like history, even in the slightest bit, this is the stop for you. The facilities have been upgraded quite a bit over the years and are outstanding. Once you get out into the colony, it is immersive with the actors taking on the roles of each of the pilgrims. Absolutely cannot recommend this place enough!
S J — Google review
This is an absolute must-do in Plymouth — especially if you’re a history buff! 📜 Even with the cold rain, we had a wonderful time. The reenactments were incredible — spot on — and the actors never once broke character. You truly feel like you’ve stepped back in time. I learned so much about both the Pilgrims and the Indigenous people who originally inhabited the area. The experience completely changed my perspective — I had always seen the Pilgrims in a certain light, but hearing the detailed, balanced stories from the staff and reenactors gave me a much deeper understanding of the history and culture on both sides. The site itself is interactive — everything, even the wooden structures, can be touched, and they encourage you to do so. That hands-on element made the visit even more immersive and enjoyable. Highly recommend: get the Heritage Pass, which includes admission to three local museums in the Plymouth area. It’s 100% worth every penny and gives you a full picture of this historic region. Rain or shine, this is an unforgettable experience that brings history to life! 🌧️🏡✨

Love going to these museums and seeing the town of Plymouth. The main campus was beautiful. We had helpful staff at every point in our trip. These people love their jobs and are good at it!! The Native American area is neat to see the day ti day tasks and how people lived. The setting is amazing and the smell of smoke adds to the scene. The staff is very knowledgeable about everything. I loved the English area as well. It was so immersive and every detail was thought out. The staff are actually working there to keep the village running. It is quite impressive. But 10/10 to the staff for being friendly and helpful. I learned a lot. I bought the package that included Grist Mill and Mayflower II. Highly recommend. It was a great way to spend most of the day around Plymouth.

The protection Museum was well done and I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the actors and actresses. This is my ninth great grandfather John Holland, and the reconstructed house that he lived in. In town also there is that Holland house the last house standing in Plymouth, where pilgrims lived! The mayflower ship was amazing and we brought our bikes through the town and enjoyed our visit immensely!

staff and actors are all very helpful and friendly. I have ancestors who came over on the mayflower and actors were able to talk some about them. I got bit by a flying insect in the native American area and the staff were very helpful and willing to get first aid if I had needed it. (thankfully I didn't need it).

Plymouth Rock is a significant monument located in Pilgrim Memorial State Park in Plymouth Harbor. It symbolizes the arrival of the Mayflower Pilgrims to the New World in 1620 and represents their faith and courage. The rock, a glacial erratic boulder, is believed to be where the pilgrims first stepped ashore, although there is no historical evidence to support this claim.
My daughters and I visited Plymouth Rock in March. I definitely recommend reading about all what happened at Plymouth Rock before you go there. It will really help you understand the importance of this beautiful site. I also loved seeing the replica of the Mayflower. It gave me a greater appreciation for one of my ancestors who came to America on the Mayflower. Must see!!

Very nice relaxing Little village. Would be five stars if the Mayflower 2 was actually there to visit. We visited unknowing the ship would be at sail getting coast guard certified the same day. The Shop owners along the pier we're very nice. Once you park there are plenty of nice little restaurants in walking distance to grab a bite and drink. Parking is reasonable with I think a 4 hr max for like 6 dollars.

While underwhelming in size, it is a monumental symbol in American history. The monument that the Plymouth Rock is in is beautiful and gives visitors a good view of this iconic symbol of the Pilgrims arriving in North America. Enjoy the other sights around including Mayflower II and the other monuments around town.

Plymouth Rock is exactly what you’d expect — a rock engraved with “1620.” It’s an iconic piece of history, but a quick stop overall. The rock sits low on the beach behind metal bars, with a viewing platform above for easy viewing and photos. It’s conveniently located right by the water and in the center of town, making it easy to visit while exploring the area. There was a state park worker on-site to answer questions, though their knowledge was somewhat limited. Still, it’s worth a visit for the historical significance and the chance to see such a well-known American landmark in person.

I haven't visited the landmark in many years, but went to show someone up from Rhode Island who had never seen it. The Plaques of historical data were new to me, the statue of the Daughters of the American Revolution was as well. I am a true Daughter of the American Revolution myself, passed on through the generations of my father's Mother, so I was happy to send the picture of the statue to my 95 year old grandmother, who is in Florida still driving and playing bridge! The Mayflower II is still a beautiful site. We saw the three monuments and the Standish Monument in the distance, all in about 20 minutes. Of course there are wonderful restaurants, gift shops, and ice cream, etc. along the waterfront, by the famous rock, as well.

Nice historic town with beautiful sightseeing. Walking is easy and protected. There are plenty of food choices and to stay for a weekend relaxing experience.

Ah, downtown Plymouth, MA—a picturesque coastal jewel that's as vibrant as it is historic! 🌊✨ Wandering through its streets is like stepping into a timeless painting, where the brushstrokes are the lively people, and the colors are the sunny skies and salty sea air. 🚶‍♂️🎨 Start your journey with a stroll down the charming main drag, where shops and cafes are nestled like pearls in an oyster. 🛍️☕️ The shop windows gleam with inviting displays, while the aroma of fresh seafood wafts from eateries like a siren's song! 🎣🥙 Historical whispers flutter about as you pass Pilgrim Hall Museum, where tales of daring adventurers linger in the corners. 📜🕰️ And if you listen closely, you might hear the gentle laughter of ghosts from the Mayflower II, forever anchored in everyone’s hearts. 🚢👻 Plymouth is not just a destination but an experience. It wraps you in its rich tapestry of history and charm, leaving you with memories as bright and colorful as a New England autumn🍂📸

Plymouth rock itself is not much to look at. But the general seaside spot is good for a touristy trip. However the Mayfair ship section is quite interesting and the small museum pays homage to the first arrivals.

Mayflower II is a full-scale replica of the 17th-century Pilgrim ship, offering exhibits and tours led by costumed guides. Built in the 1950s in England as a gift to the United States, it meticulously resembles the original Mayflower. Visitors can tour the ship, learn about the Pilgrims' voyage and experiences aboard, and explore the founding of Plymouth Colony.
It was really cool to step aboard the ship and imagine what it must have been like to travel for 66 days across the ocean with 101 other passengers in such a small space. Those Puritans truly had incredible courage!
Sofia F — Google review
We visited the Mayflower II at the end of last month. Friends of ours that are members brought us along as guests for free, so I am unsure of the amount we would have paid for admission. The staff working that day were very knowledgeable and offered interesting information along with answering visitor questions. I particularly liked the "journey signs" that allowed you to imagine what your experience might have been like from start to finish. It was incredible to see the space you would have inhabited for the voyage, too. We were a group of all adults - highly recommend for similar visitors.

It was a rainy day when we went to Plymouth, but we really wanted to visit the Mayflower replica. We are very glad we went. Probably because of the rain, there weren’t a lot of people, and it was a good chance for us to look around. There were multiple staff members in different areas to answer questions and talk about the history of the Mayflower. Highly recommend visiting this to get an idea of the size and scope of the mayflower since it is to scale.

I went with a joint ticket to the Plymouth living history museum. The ship is cool but not the original. It’s a faithful replica. The price is pretty crazy to go to both this and the museum so 4 stars.
Jack V — Google review
Enjoyed this very much. A little pricey for what you get but the experience was informative and the local guides knowledgeable and friendly. I did like that there are specific activities and questions geared toward children. Mine are college aged but I thought this was particularly great.

What a great place to visit! Good place to see history and appreciate the early settlers and their faith in God. It was especially neat this time because they were training people to sail the Mayflower again so we got to see some of the operations.
Joseph P — Google review
We were there on November 1, 2025 a Saturday. We paid full admission price and weren’t told they were filming around and on the Mayflower. We had to be very quiet and hide out of the way several times. This slowed us down more than we had planned! This was frustrating when we weren’t told at paying. I heard another person ask why was it on the weekend and not a week day. Crew on the ship had to talk softly so some were unable to hear what they said. We were from Western Canada thousand of miles away and were very unimpressed by this! Ask before you pay if there are interruptions you need to be aware of.

Visitors can explore a variety of stores selling jewelry, clothing, souvenirs, footwear, pet products, and more. The marketplace also boasts numerous eateries where visitors can sample different cuisines.
Love this place so much, we went once on each day we were in Boston! I loved the tomato based seafood chowder at Boston and Maine Fish Company, next to Chowda. $10 for a small bowl, and buy the garlic bread for $2.50 extra, has a nice tangy crust. The Irish beer pub across the hall is cool to hangout and people-watch. Beers are $9 each. Lots of cool places to eat but watch out for the touristy trap ones.

A great place to go for lunch as a tourist in Boston! So much choice of food. Enjoyed some American Mac and Cheese! The small portion is ginormous . So delicious! Will definitely return when next in Boston. Public toilets available here too!

It's very close to downtown Boston. There are many vendors selling foods, snacks, souvenirs and also many shops with a good collection of apparel. I like the place because it's very walkable and there are artists and also street performances like you can enjoy. You can walk in the building of the market. There are three separate buildings. Each of them features different set of merchandise goods. There are children's play area inside and outside the building. Pets are welcomed.

This was on all of the Google searches for being a must see in Boston. There were so many food vendors and the building was historic and beautiful. There were areas to eat although it was pretty crowded. It was fun to look at all the different types of food available.
Jeff — Google review
I went when it was a quiet Friday evening and there wasn't much going on. The stores were warm and offered souvenirs and trinkets. The history on the wall though was fascinating. Restrooms were clean and located down the steps. There are outdoor seating benches and tables and is located next to the Samuel Adam's Tap Room. Just a couple hundred feet away is the Boston sign. So, all in all, well worth the trip! Saturday the place was swarming with people, music blasting and some break dancing was going on as others walked around and shopped.
Amy B — Google review
Great place to eat if in Boston. Many different options for food in an historic location. Only downside is that it can get VERY crowded during peak eating times and seating is limited to the center court or maybe outside. Lines for ordering can get confusing. Food we had was delicious. If coming to Boston, you have to try clam chowder at least once. Bathrooms are limited and small, and look like they haven’t been updated in at least 50 years, if not 100. That considered, they were still fairly clean. Parking is almost non-existent; I’d recommend an Uber/Lift to get there. Save yourself the headache of finding a spot. Parking garages may be in the area but cost $20+. I would go again if in the area.

This historic Victorian-era garden boasts meticulously groomed flower beds showcasing 80 plant species, ornate fencing, tree-lined pathways with benches for relaxation, and iconic public art such as the Duckling Sculpture and a statue of George Washington.
My family is here on a college visit and we like to wake up early. We decided to go to the Public garden for the first time on a Sunday morning around 8 am. It was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and calm. Perfect way to start your day.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot! I could have stayed all day, especially with the perfect fall weather. I captured some amazing Boston shots during my mini photoshoot. While there were plenty of people and lots of photo-taking happening, there were also plenty of quiet corners to escape the crowds. Truly loved my time here!

The Boston Public Garden is a must-see! It's a gorgeous escape right in the middle of the city, and a perfect spot to relax and get away from all the noise. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall when the colors are just magical. I love watching the squirrels play and taking a stroll along the paved pathways. The famous Swan Boats on the lagoon are a charming sight, and the park is great for all ages. It's completely free to enter, open from dawn to dusk, and super easy to get to with the Arlington and Boylston T stops nearby. Don't forget to say hi to the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue! It's a beautiful, peaceful place that's perfect for a walk, a date, or just unwinding.

We love this place! It’s serene and peaceful. This time around, we rode on the Swan Boat which was so nice since the last time we were here was in the Fall and the lake was empty. So glad we were able to check it out in the Summer. Be aware if it’s hot outside, the Swan boat is open so you are exposed to the sun and the elements, but you get a nice breeze from the water.

Boston Public Garden, located just steps from Boston Common, is truly one of my favorite places in the city! The meticulously maintained gardens, iconic swan boats gliding across the lagoon, and beautiful walking paths create a serene urban oasis—perfect for a quiet stroll or a relaxing afternoon. The floral displays are gorgeously seasonal, and everywhere you look there’s charm: historic statues, shaded benches, and picturesque bridges. The lagoon view, especially at sunset, is postcard-worthy. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot is a peaceful escape in the heart of downtown Boston. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat amid beautiful greenery—can't beat this gem near Boston Common!

A very beautiful garden in a very dirty city. This place was great to visit during my time in Boston, especially since everywhere in this city is filled with trash, more trash than I’ve ever seen in a city and that includes Seattle and New York. This garden was well kept, had so many places to walk and see it was just a great experience, do yourself a favor and check it out!

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is a leading art museum with neoclassical and modern wings that showcase a vast collection ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary American works. The museum features the Fenway Exhibition, "Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence," which pays homage to the iconic 19th-century painter and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai.
I recently visited the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and it was an outstanding experience. The museum's collection is vast and beautifully curated, ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary art. One of the highlights was the impressive collection of Impressionist paintings, featuring works by Monet, Degas, and Renoir. The layout of the museum makes it easy to navigate, with clear signage and plenty of space to enjoy each exhibit without feeling crowded. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to provide insights or answer questions. I also appreciated the temporary exhibitions, which brought fresh perspectives and unique pieces to the museum. The on-site café and gift shop were excellent additions, offering a pleasant break during the visit. Overall, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a must-see for anyone interested in art and culture. I would highly recommend setting aside a few hours to truly enjoy everything it has to offer.

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is incredible. There’s so much to see, from classic masterpieces to contemporary exhibits, and it’s really easy to spend a full day exploring without feeling overwhelmed. The galleries are well laid out, and the museum does a great job of balancing large, famous pieces with smaller, hidden gems! I love how interactive and engaging some of the exhibits are, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The museum has a really welcoming atmosphere, and I always leave inspired and wanting to come back. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a fun, cultural day out, the MFA is definitely worth visiting!! :)

So nice, we went twice! But actually we had a morning planned to see the exhibits and loved what we saw , but had only seen a fraction after a few hours. We went the next day when they have $5 late night tickets to see some more. There's still so much to see and it's all so interesting. The cafe was good for a lunch. The staff were all super friendly. Set aside at least a day to visit if you want to see the highlights of all the exhibits.

Extremely popular attraction for tourists and locals. Not too crowded but full and friendly. I would like to return on a quieter day. I loved the museum design and height of exhibit halls. The Japanese art collection is the most impressive in the world.

An absolute marvel of ancient history covering different cultures dating back to 200 BC with so many unique and rare artifacts on display. Looking at those artifacts recovered from Giza tomb brings a different perspective to history and how the civilization used to trive back then. Truly majestic and I would highly recommend. Asian artifacts enclosure was great too. So many exquisite paintings at display which would leave you in awe. Oh yes, did I mention a lovely concept they had going outside the museum main entrance where they have some tables setup, they give you some supplies, click your picture and you can use those supplies to decorate your pictures and get it framed. My Little ones enjoyed it a lot sitting under the shade. Parking can be a challenge and expensive too provided you reach early and find one. We parked in one of the garage and museum was walkable from there. If you are in Boston then this museum is a must see. Cheers!!
Parvinder S — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend doing an hour long tour which runs throughout the day and it’s included with your admission ticket. The museum is nicely laid out in an organized fashion. There are several dining options. I was happy that there is a casual cafeteria with very reasonable priced foods. The museumwas easily accessible by train, which dropped me off right in front of the museum.

Fenway Park is a historic and intimate ballpark located in Boston, known as the home of the Red Sox and a venue for big-name concerts. It holds a significant place in Boston's built environment, alongside landmarks like Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. The stadium offers behind-the-scenes tours during the off-season and hosts a popular summer concert series.
Fenway is a iconic and historic ballpark. This was such an amazing experience. Saw the Red Sox vs. Houston Argos game (2-1 home win for Red Sox) and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and energy from the crowd was amazing and the lighteffects after the win were super cool. Food and beverages were okay priced, not too expensive in my opinion. Great experience being there!

This is the best tour I’ve been on in a long time! The street and local atmosphere is something out of a movie, and the tour is very affordable and informative. The guide was fantastic, telling fun stories of his life in Boston and his 10 years working at the field. We saw everything from the original seats to the press box, the green monster, and the special VIP museum that holds World Series balls, bats, uniforms and memorabilia from over the decades. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know, especially baseball lovers. So worth the time and money!
Ashley F — Google review
Thanks to Kevin and Zach (apologise if I spelled them wrong) The tour was amazing! They provided clear and touchable introduction about Fenway Park, the immortal and irreplaceable history of Boston Red Sox, including each detail on and off the court, and what did here happened somethings that were truly iconic, and more little adorable sides of the park, such as Fenway Farm! I was impressed by every step I took without a doubt! It was worthy to take a tour here although there's no baseball matches now. Glad to be here to calmly know everything about Fenway!
Rita L — Google review
We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don’t watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you’re in Boston.

This was my first time visiting Fenway Park, and even though my team wasn’t playing, I knew I couldn’t come to Boston without checking it out. I’m so glad I did, the energy inside the stadium was incredible! From the moment I walked in, I felt the history and passion that make Fenway such a special place for baseball fans. The crowd was electric, and what really stood out was the sense of community. The entire stadium came together, singing songs, cheering, and living and breathing every moment of the game. I felt completely swept up in the excitement. We just so happened to be there for the game the Red Sox clinched their spot in the playoffs with a walk-off win! The stadium absolutely erupted. I’ve never felt that kind of excitement at a ball game before. You didn’t have to be a Red Sox fan to appreciate the moment. Being there for that walk-off and watching the team celebrate was something I’ll never forget. Fenway isn’t just a place to watch baseball it’s a place to feel it. The atmosphere, the history, the energy it all makes for an incredible experience.

Fenway Park is one of the Mecca's of MLB that every baseball fan needs to visit in person. It was great attending a Boston Red Sox game in the one of the oldest baseball parks in America. The food was good and at a decent price, but it was the surrounding bars and restaurants around the park that made it a great overall baseball and sporting experience!
Josh B — Google review
Being a Cub fan from Chicago, home to the most iconic stadium in all of sport, I must say that I continue to be impressed with the condition of Fenway Park. It's no Wrigley Field, and it being a few years older, doesn't make it "grander", but it's a fun place to see a game. The fans are pretty great, and supportive of their team, but the place emptied out long before the game was over because the Sox were getting their butts kicked. You don't ever see that at Wrigley... no matter what the score. I was in Yankee Stadium in this trip out East too, and I continued to be unimpressed with that ballpark.
Larry B — Google review
Came out from California, San Francisco Giants fan. Got a real good look at this beautiful ballpark. I think what makes it special is the foul lines. Makes it look like an old ballpark I used to play in when I was 12 years old. Just kidding. But it does make it look really authentic when you're young playing baseball. We had a great time with the guide. He was very knowledgeable. And he was from California. I would strongly suggest this place if you are a baseball fan. The tour is great.

Minute Man National Historical Park, located along Route 2A near Concord Center, is a significant site in American history. It encompasses the route taken by the Redcoats during the Revolutionary War and features historical landmarks such as Old North Bridge and The Wayside. Visitors can explore the area where the first battle of the war took place and learn about Paul Revere's ride through reenactments on Patriots Day.
May is the perfect time to visit this place, when you will see the best of the spring in New England; and also get educated with American history along the way. Starting from the visitor center, you will be able to watch a video about the whole story; then get a map which tells you everywhere you can go and every parking lot it has. Aiming for a good spring-time hike, I enjoyed the farmland and North Bridge the most, but there are more things to see, such as the Orchard House (which offers you a nice guided tour with $15).
Wanyu H — Google review
Was disappointed to find the visitors center closed during the posted open hours. There were no rangers or anyone around. I'm sure that's due to governmental budget cuts and not the fault of park personnel. It's a beautiful park with incredibly preserved historical structures and plenty of informative signage. The trails are well-kept and there were lots of great birding opportunities and I saw turtles and frogs/froglets in the pond near the visitors center. I do plan on getting over here more since it's my local park.

Beautiful National Park with loads of American History. Walking paths galore, some shaded some without shade. Locals clearly enjoy the park for cycling and recreation. Two visitor centers, the main one has very limited hours, the North Bridge has more regular hours. Many rangers out throughout the park and available to answer questions and tell the history. Tours are also available for a fee. Park is also close to many other great historical spots in MA.

I learned so much more about American History! We only had one day to spend in the area. So we visited 3 sites: the North Bridge in Concord, the Minute Man National Historical Park in Lincoln, and the Lexington Battle Green in Lexington. We could have spent an entire week here visiting all of the Revolution sites as well as the literary sites from the Transcendentalist era, which I had no idea were so related! If you have time, rent a bike and follow the path of the British regulars as they were pushed back to Boston.

Very nice historical place, describing the beginnings of the American Revolution. I recommend the video at the visitor center and also walking the trail that connects the different building and places of interest. Concord is close by and worth visiting.

The Beginning of Independence! My daughter (13) and I visited the Minute Man National Historical Park on July 1, 2025. The Park Rangers were extremely knowledgeable and the park was in excellent condition. The Park marks the first "battle" of the Revolutionary War at Lexington & Concord. This is where things escalated to a point of no return between the British and the Colonists. Highly recommend visiting and taking in the very place that led to American Independence.

We loved this non traditional visitor center. you have to walk a ways but there ia a nice path, no stairs to the building. The mocie ia unique and aboit 45 minutes. We thought it was very good. Check the official website for times, they are different than the posted ones in the parking lot. They closed at noon because they dont have air conditioning.

An absolute MUST visit for EVERYONE who visits Massachusetts! This is where the Revolutionary War began! You are walking through History! You can just feel everything in the atmosphere! North Bridge in Concord is a historic replica of the 1775 bridge where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. It's located in a picturesque setting within Minute Man National Historical Park, surrounded by wooded areas and rolling pastures. The bridge holds significant historical importance as it was the site of a key battle during the American Revolution, marking the first American victory. Visitors can stroll through Colonial-period stone walls and explore plaques that add to its historical aura.
A must-visit for anyone interested in American history. The North Bridge is the site of the “shot heard ’round the world,” marking one of the first battles of the American Revolutionary War in 1775. The area is beautifully maintained with informative plaques and scenic walking paths. It’s a peaceful and quiet place to reflect, with a lovely walk along the Concord River and through the surrounding historic grounds. Perfect for a short, meaningful visit that blends nature and history.

Beautiful September Sunday to take a walk from the adjacent parking to the visitors center at the top of the hill. There are lots of nice trails leading off the main path along the way. The river was low but lots of folks with rooftop boats enjoying the water. There was a memorial service in session on the grounds of the visitor center that was well attended by about 300 people. It is an easy walk with plenty to read and learn along the way. The parking lot was very full but luckily found one of the last spots. I would get there earlier next time. Not nearly as busy on a weekday.

It was absolutely beautiful, and it was amazing to be standing in a place of such meaningful history. It was also very cool to see the residences of people such as Louisa May Alcott in the way to the Old North Bridge, as well as the Old Manse of Ralph Waldo Emerson at the bridge itself.

North Bridge in Concord is a quick and easy stop for anyone who appreciates American history. It's only 10 minutes from the main highway, doesn't cost anything to see, and its historical significance as where the Revolutionary War began speaks for itself. It's a quick and easy stop if you're just passing through, otherwise you can make a day of it with the area offering a myriad of other historical sites to visit in addition to North Bridge. All of this said, I highly recommend it as a stop for all lovers of history.

Honestly, my emotions surprised me. The crowd dispersed briefly and I ended up on the bridge alone. It was beautiful, quiet and simple yet profound. The farmer statue reminds you of what happened here. There’s even a small tribute to the British who died at the battle of Concord. I didn’t realize Hawthorne bought the adjacent land. Take time to travel Author’s Row along the drive up from Lexington. Definitely a location worth visiting!!

Nestled in the charming town of Dunstable, MA, The Butterfly Place is a delightful indoor garden that immerses visitors in a vibrant world filled with regional and tropical butterflies. As you stroll along the walking path, you'll encounter hundreds of these stunning creatures fluttering freely amidst lush vegetation in a warm greenhouse environment. This enchanting attraction also features birds and koi fish, making it an educational haven for nature lovers of all ages.
This was an awesome experience! The toddler wasn't too sure about butterflies landing on her, but she thought they were very pretty! Our 5 year old was THRILLED that two different butterflies, including a Blue Morpho, landed on him. This was an amazing experience for children and adults. It is VERY warm inside the butterfly enclosure so dress appropriately. You can also take breaks if you get too warm. There is a cute little picnic area out back and the gift shop was very reasonably priced.

My aunt and I visited a few days ago and had a great time! The atrium is completely full of hundreds of beautiful butterflies and greenery. The staff were personable, knowledgeable, and informative. We spent about an hour and a half soaking in the surroundings and about ten minutes peeking through the indoor exhibit. I’d love to go back sometime. Can’t forget to mention the little quails, too!

What a magical place. Brought our three kids ages 3, 4 and 6, they thoroughly enjoyed seeing the many beautiful butterflies. The butterfly area has brick paths winding through beautiful gardens. The educational area had smaller exhibits with unique species. There is a big covered area outside with picnic tables. Ended up spending a little over an hour with the butterflies. There is a staff member in the butterfly area to answer questions. Probably not as exciting for older kids unless they are interested in butterflies/flowers.

Love it here! Came when I was really little and hadn’t been in ages. Decided to come again and was so happy I did. SO many butterflies, kind and knowledgeable staff. Very homey and cute. There were even button quails running around! Felt like I was in a fairy garden.

It was a beautiful experience to see you those stunning butterflies! Definitely worth the trip! Great for family outings for the little ones. Plenty of parking! Hefty entrance fee of $14.00, a little high for just going in and out, the stay is no more than 1 hour.

Took my family here on a weekday during spring break. Tons of butterflies and bugs to look at. The woman at the counter said to wear white to get the butterflies to land on you. There were a lot of kids there and the space can fill up quickly as it is small. I recommend getting there when they open.

Highly recommend! They have everything so organized and it made for an enjoyable experience. I like the QR to order drinks and that they brought it to you. We also got a flat bread which was great! Parking lot was full, but they are thoughtful with seating so it didn’t feel like it. Grab a wine slushie, so good!

Beautiful piece of property and excellent wine! My husband and I did the tour with a tasting and it was awesome! Our guide (Derek or Darryl I believe) was very knowledgeable and engaging! We bought 3 bottles of wine when we left! We also ate lunch at the Knoll while we were there. The figgy piggy pizza was great but everything else was sub par and over priced. I guess you can’t expect much from a winery in terms of food, but still disappointing. Next time we will book a reservation at J’s restaurant on site. We did not Apple pick but it was available while we were there and lots of people were doing it! It’s a family friendly place(dogs too!) and a great outing ! Highly recommend reservations during peak season!

My favorite place for apple picking after my children became teenagers. The property is lovely, and everything is laid out well. Price for the 1/2 bushel bag was very reasonable (no farm animals, no kid-centric entertainment, no hedge maze. The terrain doesn't have a lot of hills, so it's easy to get where you need to go. Apple picking is fun and can be completed at your own pace. The apple trees are clearly identifiable with signage, color coded ribbons, map with descriptions and key to what apple tree has what ribbon colors. I spent 90 minutes meandering around and got 6-7 different varieties of apples (there were attempting least 4-5 varieties that I skipped). There was even one variety that was marked in the orchard but not on the map; it was a happy surprise. The Orchard also offers antique varieties of apples. To find out about what varieties are being picked and when, you can sign up to be on the mailing list to get the updates/notification. The antique apples tend to be ones you do not see much in a supermarket or can be ones that are great for cider making. We go for the antiques varieties that are good for eating or baking. Our favorites this past season were Cox Orange Pippins, Snow, and Kandil Sinap. My family enjoys this orchard because it's easy to navigate, is less chaotic, and is very organized. My daughter and I have planned to have a mom and daughter outing one she is 21 years old to have some wine and food... and walk off the alcohol with some apple picking!

This place was such a cute vibe. I went here with a couple of friends and we really enjoyed our time. There was live music which was nice while sippin on a sangria. I got the turkey club with a side of fries and I was actually super surprised how much I enjoyed my meal. It’s always hard to get a sandwich that I like and this was was soooooo gooood. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely love Nashoba Winery! Every visit is such a treat — the grounds are beautiful, the wine and beer are always delicious, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff truly make the experience extra special — everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable, especially the team in the store. They’re always happy to offer recommendations and take the time to chat, which makes each visit feel personal and memorable. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

Last Sunday I was invited to go to lunch with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised! The weather was beautiful as was the scenery. Food was delicious as well. We had a server by the name of Adam that was wonderful. He served our drinks in a timely manner. I was so pleased with food, service, drinks and atmosphere that I went back today and bought a gift certificate to give to my nephew and his girlfriend. I know they will enjoy it.

This was my first time visiting Nashoba Valley Winery, and overall my wife and I had a great experience. Upon first impression, I thought the grounds could use a bit more upkeep, but everything else made up for it. Parking was easy thanks to two very helpful attendants directing traffic. On the way to the Knoll area, we were greeted by friendly staff, which set a great tone for the day. A tip for first-time visitors: definitely make reservations for whatever you plan to do. The food was delicious—highly recommend the Figgy Piggy! I wasn’t a big fan of the Birria Tacos, but that’s just personal taste. The wines were fantastic, and you absolutely have to try the wine slushi. We did the tasting tour with Darrel as our guide—he was knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable, though it started a bit late due to others arriving behind schedule (which was frustrating but out of the staff’s control). The winery is busiest in the Fall and is only closed four days a year. One thing I’d suggest is for their website to be a little more detailed about the different types of tastings available, especially for first-time visitors like me. All in all, it was a memorable trip, and I’ll definitely be going back!

Love this winery! Had an amazing time with my family today and very much enjoyed the live music and all the dogs! The staff here is extremely friendly and inviting, especially Delia and Hannah who greeted us at the entrance and were so helpful and informative on where everything is as this was our first time here as a family. They really brightened our day with their joyful personalities and just made our first time here even better. Will definitely be coming back again!!!

The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts is an opulent Renaissance-style space that has a rich history dating back to 1904 when it was originally known as the Franklin Square Theatre. Over the years, it has undergone several ownership changes and renovations, including the addition of a stunning two-story lobby with marbleized columns, mirrored walls, and a grand staircase.
Had an epic experience at The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory to see “To Kill A Mockingbird”. The inside is so beautiful and elegant. Great view of the stage. Clean restrooms. Outside there were vibrant light installations.

Went here last night with my Mom 11/08/24. To see Ain't too proud to beg The Life and Times of The Temptations. The performance was rather good . The performers were a " little chucky." But still really talented and still a pretty good show. The biggest issue with THT is that there's so many volunteers ( who don't seem like they care and do nothing) and less engaged with the people. A lot of Elderly volunteers, and they didn't know much and barely interacted with people into auditorium. The THT , needs a like bit of ( TLC ) , still quite pretty and differently needs some explanation like there foyer and the lobby they need to do something or you get a drink / souvenir or nothing at all. I didn't even have time to use the men's bathrooms the line ls were so long, and so we're the lines for snacks / beverages . They didn't even take our money our at the stand. We were going to order a cookie, and they just passed by us. Overall still a great performance. The performers needed more attire , the where they were wearing alot of the same clothes . They needed more of a variety of clothing and such like props etc.

I attended a performance of Shen Yun and I had a good time in spite of the cramped seats in the balcony. My friend, Author Itis and his brother Bruce complained and let me know it! The staff were professional and security did not give people a hard time. There is a metal detector at the entrances. I would empty your pockets before entering and have your ticket 🎫 ready before the metal detector. The lines to get in were long but they did move smoothly. I would try to arrive early but I had issues with parking 🅿️ so I was seated as the performance started. I liked the inside with its lights, chandeliers and ornate ceiling. The sound was good and my view 🙈 from the balcony was enjoyable. The men's bathroom was in good condition. The Shen Yun performance and choreography is a mixture of ballet 🩰, folk, tumbling and gymnastics. Though the man ♂️ and woman ♀️ who narrated the show said that the styles of dance originated from Chinese folk dance. Bright 🌞 vibrant colors from the costumes and the digital screen catch 🪝 the eyes 👀! The orchestra is a combination of both Chinese and European instruments. There are social and political messages that might be controversial. I ordered my ticket 🎟️ online and the price of the service fee was expensive! Be aware before ordering. I paid $85 so it really drove up the price. Was Shen Yun worth the $300+ ticket? No. But I did enjoy the show and so did the audience. I hope the performers and musicians receive a good wage from their excellent 👌 performances! I did speak 🗣️ to Chris and I had a pleasant conversation about my purchase. I purchased through Shen Yun and Chris was concerned that I was overcharged by a secondary seller. That is good customer service! If there is a performance I really want to see, I would consider visiting this theater 🎭 again!

Great theater, outstanding staff, really overpriced beverages and extremely narrow small sits. Excellent acoustics and great view from anywhere in the orchestra sitting area. I came to Brad Williams comedy show and was positively surprised by 2 opening comedians as well as a meet and greet at the end where we could take pictures with all the comedians and get autographs, buy merchandise and that was simply amazing!

Great venue. Saw a concert and it was an amazing experience. Great acoustics and theater is nice. Lots of food and beverage choices within walking distance to grab a bite and drink before the show.

Don't let the outside construction ward you off from coming inside to see a show. The line moved seamlessly. Well staffed. Bathrooms were clearly marked and very clean. I sat in gold circle orchestra. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of leg room. The sound system was great. Lighting was amazing. I liked that there were no stairs, it was sloped and carpeted. The drink prices were reasonable. Bottled water was 3.00. Easy in and out of the theater. I will attend again now that I know how amazing this page is.

What a great visit we had while attending a performance of “A Christmas Carol”. I was so impressed with all manner of the production, from the sets and scenery, the music, lighting to the acting. I am looking forward to viewing more productions at The Hanover Theater very much and can highly recommend doing so.

The Worcester Art Museum is a renowned institution housing an extensive and diverse collection of over 35,000 artworks spanning more than 5,000 years. From ancient to contemporary pieces, the museum showcases European masterworks alongside global cultural artifacts. Visitors can admire paintings by renowned artists such as Monet and Goya, explore the silver collection by Paul Revere, marvel at floor mosaics from Antioch, and immerse themselves in cutting-edge contemporary art.
World class museum featuring a Monet masterpiece from his time in London. Ancient Rome fan? Fascinated by gladiatorial games? Well you in for a real treat, with an actual real Gladiator helmet from Ancient Roman times. Also some actual Ancient Rome busts of emperors Marcus Aurelius, Caligula, and Nero dating back to 1st Century AD. Also a Greek helmet dating back from 450 BC. Ancient Egyptian art dating back to 1980 BC. When you walk you the showstopper of the place is a big beautiful floor mosaic dating back to 500AD. Terrific tapestries, Rodin and Houdon sculpture. John Singer Sargent pieces. Also pretty cool Medieval stained glass from 1200s, and knight chain mail. Awesome tapestries and Japanese art exhibit when I went.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Egyptian and Sumerian artifacts at this museum. Loved the art and of course the Egyptian and Sumerian stuff. I thought they inherited the medieval armor but I only saw 1. Kids enjoyed the scavenger hunt and my 2 youngest did enjoy the story telling. Nice little thing to do around Worcester.

I've been visiting the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) on an occasional basis for decades, despite not living in the vicinity. Particularly given the size of the surrounding community, It continues to display an impressively varied "encyclopedic" collection, although as the buildings that house it have developed over the years, parts of the collection, notably including American and contemporary art, are less than favorably displayed and the circuitous traffic pattern can be difficult to navigate--and yes, this was the case well before the current massive construction reportedly intended to integrate their receipt of the late lamented Higgins Armory Museum collection. The European painting galleries manage to present a chronological review of painting traditions from early Italian gold leaf panels to works from the early twentieth century. There are several works by better known artists, ranging from a fine panel by Piero di Cosimo to canvases by J.S. Sargent, and many important artistic traditions are well represented, even if not necessarily by their foremost practitioners, although some of the works are hung so high, with such indifferent lighting, that they can be difficult to see. There is a fine medieval French chapter house permanently reinstalled off the Renaissance courtyard whose own floor is particularly noteworthy for its fine Roman mosaic, a relic from an earlier time when the Museum engaged in archeological endeavors. WAM also offers multiple rooms devoted to arts of Asian cultures. There is a regular program of special exhibitions, which in recent years have ranged from an extensive loan display of Rembrandt etchings to an installation from their own storerooms of several fine European tapestries, although the later would have benefited from more detailed and thoughtful labels. The WAM also has a long history of art educational endeavors to which an entire building is dedicated. For a time some years ago they had a very pleasant restaurant with table service, sadly long gone. Free parking is located across the street, but although technically accessible, the museum can be a challenge for those with mobility issues.
