I can't say enough good things about my trip with Winding Waters. I went with a group of about 20 women, and we all agreed it was one of the most memorable trips of our lives. Not only was the scenery beautiful and the company a blast, but our Winding Waters guides made sure we w ere always comfortable, well fed and brought even more laughs to the trip. I haven't stopped talking about this experience, and hope to return one day! I can't imagine there is a better way to see this part of the country. Love you Winding Waters!

Went into Stein Distillery on a quiet Sunday afternoon and got to taste many of the fine whiskey’s from Stein. Jon was fantastic and spent a lot of time explaining all the different whiskey’s and the process on how they are made. We learned so much! We really felt like family here. Can’t wait to come back!

The name says it all : Josephy Center for Arts and Culture they have beautiful artwork and lots of history on chief joseph ... they have various types of classes even stuff for the younger set...Dawn Norman is awesome and so is her crew very knowledgeable about things...they even have a gift shop you might want to take a look at they have some great things and some perfect stocking stuffers

this is a gem of Wallowa county. as a local I have enjoyed the great bronze statues in Joseph Oregon with my family for many years. taking the time to admire them over and over. my personal faves are the Chief Joseph and women in blue dress. it seems these two will all ways catch my attention. my daughter and I recently got around to take the factory tour. completely mind opening, we were blown away. from the the wax chasers to the casters, welders, staff who add color these people are all artist! the process in what it takes to disassemble and reassemble to the highest standard of the original artist is mind blowing. as local guides ourself we enjoy the opportunity to take a tour like this. Casey was our guide for about an hour and a half. extremally knowledgeable, entertaining, answered every question that we had , and made Shure it was in a way anyone could understand. but most of all he was peaceful, and respectful a joy to be around.( the Wallowa county way ) so to sum this up take the factory tour, then walk the streets of joseph,. you will never look at bronze art the same.

This was such a breathtaking experience and so much fun! Andrew and his wife who host in Joseph are wonderful and extremely knowledgeable with great recommendations on other sites and things to do in the area. Layer up as it can be a little cooler in the beginning and a little more work on the ride back, but finding the sweet spot with assist was very helpful. The views and wildlife are spectacular, absolutely worth checking out!

Our first time stopping in this town on the way to Joseph, Oregon. It was a fantastic decision to enter the store. Plus, the pizza we had was delicious and hit the spot. That being the case, we will be sure to make a pit stop here on future excursions. REVIEW UPDATE: I would recommend M. Crow again; the pizza, staff, and atmosphere were all outstanding. The last several times we traveled through town, M. Crow had been closed. We were told by one of the locals that they were closed to resolve management/ownership issues.

Thank goodness for fresh, local produce! And this little market has some fabulous arts and crafts from the residents of Wallowa. Check it out.

We enjoyed the opportunity to complete the trail. The views were very pleasant and the loop provides a nice workout. The Visitor Center was closed.

Pretty little place to camp. They have running water and restrooms. No showers or electricity. Gave me a peaceful place to sleep for the night.

There's so much to see! I could spend the whole day and not see everything. The displays are beautiful and well organized. I've lived here my whole life and there's still so much history I never knew about until I went to the museum. I recommend visiting at least once to anyone who lives in the area or passing through. There's something there for everyone!

We had a great time! Our first time visiting this Lodge and it didn’t disappoint. The room 213 was beautiful and very clean. The soaking pools were very nice and there is a cold plunge which I loved. The lodge is next to the highway and a railroad 🛤️, something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. We did eat at the restaurant which had reasonably priced food and it was delicious. We do plan to come back 🫶

The best train experience, few as we've had, that we have ever had. The train was in excellent condition, just don't try and adjust the window shade. The volunteers were kind, helpful, informative, and fun. Max was a hoot. Our trip was the 3.5 hour "Fall Colors" excursion. While many of the trees in this area are evergreen, a lot of the smaller bushes, grasses, and other plants still provide a bountiful cornucopia of color. Entering the train, seats are first come first served. One thing I loved about this ride is how they handled the view. To ensure everyone received views of the river side, passengers switch sides before making the return trip. If you want to get some different views, you are permitted to go look out the open windows between cars or you can go to the baggage car that has large open windows on either side. It makes for a fantastic experience. This trip included a meal at the return point. We elected for the chicken almond salad. It was good, with the highlight being the pumpkin spice cupcake for dessert. Other food options were a taco salad (vegan it non-vegan), ham and cheese sandwich, and a standard house salad. If you want to get some pictures or video without any photo bombers, meal time is ideal. While everyone is eating, go to your favorite spots to get some pictures and videos. It is an ideal time to do so. For overnight stays in the area: May's Place Bed and Breakfast is where we stayed for the night. In downtown Elgin, it is a quaint place that is within walking distance of the train station. You'll need to book another night if you don't want to check out before leaving for the train. Elgin is near LA Grande, with lots of hotels. If you want to be more budget friendly, Wallowa Lake State Park is less than an hour away and has RV and tent spots starting at just over $20/night. If you are in an RV, be aware that parking is minimal at the train station and most spots will not accommodate an RV or a trailer of any kind. Overall, this trip is incredible and we plan on going on some of their other trips next year. I highly recommend looking through their offerings and finding one that interests you. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful old building with lots of history and the best part about it is that it's being remodeled, kept up and being used on a regular basis..I was fortunate to get to go inside and see this amazing building. Hopefully in the future I will be able to come again and see a play here, they put them on on a regular basis.. definitely recommend anyone who loves historical buildings and the arts to check this place out it's absolutely wonderful..

The breakfast here was a amazing. The staff was welcoming and the pancakes were one of the best I have ever had. The Pancakes were fluffy, spongy and moist. My eggs were over medium and the hash was crisped to perfection. If I'm ever in Le Grande again, I will stop by. Chef's kiss the the cook Matt! Also, there's a bar in the back, didn't get a chance to try but this seems like the ideal spot for a hangover.

They have campsites that cost money, and in the evening time they lock you in. That being said, the grounds are spectacular and you could come to the front part of the park where there is no fee and just enjoy swimming under the bridge, waiting in the water are just sitting underneath the trees enjoying nature. I played guitar there I felt at ease there. It's a beautiful state park and if you have the chance you should visit it.

I had the privilege of staying here while my honey and his crew were working in College Place for 6 weeks. This is a beautiful well cared for park is the perfect retreat for recharging your soul. Being next to the river is peaceful, and fishing it is even better. The camp hosts, Chip, Chad, and Pat and her Husband Rob were wonderful people. Chip was so kind to share the history of the area and converse with. Lots of wildlife hanging around. Had the liberty of hanging out with the deer, they enjoy the apple trees in the camp ground. Saw Mama bear and two cubs hanging around the apple trees too.

Beautiful location and perfect setting for a Friday family fun night on a hot summer day. They had a fun Latin jazz musical group and many people showed up to enjoy the special dishes of food trucks and Tranche’s wine. If you are visiting Walla Walla I would put it on your top 5 things to do in the Walla Walla Valley.

This is a large scenic park that will not disappoint. There are picnic tables, playground, lots of trees, nature, and serenity. It is peaceful. The park is well maintained. Let's all do our part to keep it beautiful.

You can tell a lot of time and effort has been put into this museum to make it a great experience for all ages. Multiple buildings to explore, as well as outside areas. Great place to take children, and adults alike, to learn history of the area and what it was like living and working in the 1800s. Friendly and knowledgeable employees/volunteers. Impressive displays with period photography and items, to go along with explanations of it all. Check calendars of events for special things going on, including scavenger hunts and speakers. Great gift shop as well.

Sharing the moment while sharing beverages and food... sipping red and white wine samplers, a Smoked Chicken Sandwich with Bacon, Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, and for dessert the mouth watering Cheesecake Lemon 🍋 topped with sliced strawberries 🍓 Our waitstaff Jenna was informative, courteous, and provided excellent service. We were very grateful for efficient air conditioning when we stopped here on a hot day. We were greeted immediately by a friendly staff member and directed to the museum. The exhibits are well-constructed, thoughtfully-presented, and organized to flow from one concept to the next. I felt like I got a good summary of the culture and history represented here, including the less pleasant details. My kids kind of rushed through it (they didn't pause to read much), but even they came away with new ideas to think about.

We are visiting from Southern BC, Canada, and had an absolutely fantastic tasting with Ryan. We would love to thank him for sharing his knowledge about the history and the wines made at L’Ecole Winery. This has been my favourite tasting experience on our trip.Thanks again, loved every wine. Stellar wines and great people. If a beautiful day sipping wine on a relaxed outdoor patio is your vibe, this is the place. It’s also one of the oldest wineries in Walla Walla.

This could be my home away from home! We love spending time here because it has everything we need. We are probably here on a weekly basis and enjoy the perks of being a frequent guest. Wildhorse also has a bowling alley, arcade, movie theater, and golfing, there is something for everyone. Not to mention slots and poker. The pool is nice and they also have a hot tub and sauna. I would definitely bring my family to Wildhorse for a good time.

This was my first time shopping this store and I definitely recommend it. I was greeted as soon as I walked in with a warm hello and I genuinely want to help me if I needed it. I was searching for new born baby items to take my daughter in Missouri, the ladies knew exactly where to direct me and was not hoovering or pushy sales. I was very happen with the quality and my gifts was a huge hit at the shower. I would also like to add the lady that checked me out went out of her way to get me savings and was so kind during the transaction.

Went on an adventure to Pendleton to check this place out and it's a little expensive for a small town museum however it was a cool place to check out. It has some nice displays like the settlers cabin and the Caboose but I would have thought there would be more to the native American displays seeing how they are a big part of the local history.. check it out for yourself sometime.

Loved it! Our guide Brad Wilson was fun and engaging and kept it entertaining and fun to learn about Pendleton's underground history. He grew up in the area so he has a little extra insight about the area. I highly recommend the Pendleton Underground Tour. It was a super fun 2 hour tour!

Such a great place. Everything's there for you to have a good time. The roundup is a must see. The let r buck room is air conditioned so you can have a break from the heat and have a drink. So many food options. I went there on Thursday and loved every show.
