Wow, where do I start. Ms Kelli(mgr) is the best at what she does at the park. We stayed a few months and the camp host(John& Christine) were wonderful. The park is clean and the area is beautiful. They have a rooster who has made himself at home which I believe gives it that country effect. We loved the RV Park/Marina. We’d recommend this place highly.
Elizabeth L — Google review
Very well maintained campground. Check in was quick and easy. They have 50 amp power ports. Many sites have some fencing that helps with wind blockage and privacy. Train noise can be heard but not as bad as some other places we’ve stayed. The day use park is nice, however the swimming area is taken over by geese and the west parking area seems to possibly have illegal activity going on in the evening. People sitting in vehicles while other people move from vehicle to vehicle. Being former law enforcement I have seen that kind of thing before. The camping area was very quiet and peaceful until Friday when the loud drinkers started showing up. Don’t expect the 8pm quiet time to be enforced. Use google maps or some other resource to find a site with shade if staying in the hot months. Overall a nice stay.

Terrific location on the Columbia River. Easy to get into. Only $55 for the night. Large sites with lots of room between. Nice walking path along the river to stretch your legs after a long day of driving.
Rebecca G — Google review
This is arguably the very best RV Park around for 50 miles. Beautifully maintained grounds, large lawn and Columbia River Views in almost every site. Simple monthly charge of $110 a month for utilities and WiFi if staying long term during Winter Months. Current monthly charge for extended stays, $680 a month. I can't say enough good things about this facility, a Gem!
Christian E — Google review
This is a great location, especially if you love seafood and boat trips! There is no end to the number of nearby restaurants and daily charter boats. The sites are a tad narrow and the parking is out of control during crabbing season, which can make it a challenge to get in and out of the park but after you're parked, it's a great place to spend a few days or weeks (or months even! =)!
William V — Google review
Great RV campground right on the Columbia River. Sites are spacious with lots of green space. Showers/restrooms were basic and showers could use a bit of an upgrade. Laundry room was nice. Only 2 complaints: (1) the sprinkler system that ran 4 of the 7 nights we were here was pointed directly at our TT and soaked the entire side of it and our truck. That wouldnt be an issue except that one of our windows was open so it got the inside of our trailer wet. It also soaked everything we had outside including our shoes. (2) Staff that mowed twice while we're here made no attempt to aim clippings away from our site so we came home to grass all over our belongings. Fortunately we carry a leaf blower so we could blow everything off. Otherwise this is a great camp site with a beautiful view, especially sunset views
De ( — Google review
Lovely place On the river. Good views and quiet. Very nice staff. Good walks along the river to a pub.
Stuart M — Google review
There is a nice walking trail along the river. This RV park seems like it is in a park. There are a lot of trees and more space between RV's than I have ever seen in an RV park. It would be nice if they watered at night so you can get into or out of your unit without getting in the mud or getting hit with sprinklers if you are trying to get around. There is a playground for children.

Excellent engagement activities and learning for adults and kids! History of the area and the agriculture grown here! And did you know they make Tillamook cheese here? You can’t buy cheese but you can buy ice cream!
Bonnie B — Google review
I stopped at the supercharger during a trip, and was disappointed that there was no food, so me and my dad walked past the large play structure to the Sage Center and it was really cool inside with interesting displays 🦌🥔🐺, sadly we didn't tour it all but we did use the public bathrooms (The girls bathroom is clean and comfortable) and shopped around the gift shop. Not to mention there was to go bowls of tillamook ice cream 😋. The costumer service was also super good and the employees were really nice.

This is where my Tesla always has us stop on our trips to Boise, Idaho. Once I actually went inside, I saw how cool the museum actually is. It has a lot of interactive activities and awesome information you wouldn’t learn from many places. Great place for kids. It has an outdoor playground and a little area for dogs to run around, play and go potty. Would definitely recommend stopping, especially with children on long trip breaks.
Chrys T — Google review
Best place to charge EV with kids! We stopped here twice to charge our Rivian and it’s the best. Chargers are fast, and some of the Tesla chargers have adapters so we could charge easily. The best part is the playground!!!! So much more pleasant to charge here with the kids. There’s also picnic tables, so a great place to hang out while you charge. One negative is that there aren’t bathrooms (there was a disgusting port-a-potty).
Ashley A — Google review
Stopped here to use a Tesla supercharger. Wonderful that we were welcome to use the restroom & have coffee/relax. Especially enjoyed the impressive educational exhibits, and awesome outdoor playground!
Mary L — Google review
Not a huge museum but they pack a lot of different topics in the space. Several interactive exhibits. All is focused on agriculture and industry in the area, including historical perspectives.
Seth B — Google review
So much great education about our farming in USA. The Ballon ride was down when we were there. If in the area fir a few days or need a break from driving, we highly recommend. Plenty of room for large motor homes & tow veichles

Beautiful winery and well organized. Very friendly workers. Picked up a load of empty barrels. Guys who loaded my truck are rocks. They put 154 barrels in my container in less than one hour.

Visited 6/27. Had to knock to be let in a few minutes after 11. Two young women were ringing up people in safety vests(employees?) one after the other. After about 5 minutes of waiting at tasting bar, one of them asked if we were there for a tasting and we answered, yes. She stated she would be right with us and continued ringing up these vested people. After another 5 minutes of being ignored, we left. We had been regular drinkers of your wine, and had looked forward to this tasting. However, due to your employees' rude behavior, you have lost us as customers.
Scott N — Google review
Nice winery with a lot of character, despite being like a corporation (watch the trucks with grapes come and go). Make sure to go down the stairs and see the cellar with all the cases. The tasting room is very comfortable, enough space to taste and browse the wines. Prices of the wines are very reasonable.
Bert B — Google review
This place is unbelievable great place to visit and take a tour you will not be dispointed at all.
Anthony D — Google review
Beautiful grounds and a very nice tasting room with friendly employees. Visited during the Spring Barrel weekend and were fortunate enough to be able to go down into the cellar to taste wine from the barrels. Nice selection of items for sales including some cheese and other snacks.
J9b2 A — Google review
We had the best time at Columbia Crest Winery today in the tasting room with Vicky,. She made our day by being so welcoming, joking around with us and being so informative! She even got us some cheese and crackers to go with the tasting! We shared how much we were looking forward to our visit, but had been worried of our delay during the drive to the winery from the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, as it was much farther than we were thinking and it took so long to get there that we didn’t arrive until 4:30, just having discovered that they closed at 5 pm while we were on the way! Upon arrival we thought we would be rushed through the tasting experience at this, our favorite overall winery, after coming from Philadelphia to visit while in Washington. But nothing could have been further from that as she showed us numerous wines and even gave us an individual tour of the vine cellar and a tasting from a barrel during fermentation! She shared her Columbia Crest story with us and even took a picture with us! In the end we were there for over an hour and we would have never known that she and a few of her colleagues were staying to make our experience so special! What a wonderful representation of Columbia Crest she was! Congratulation to Columbia Crest for having a great staff member to represent your business!! Highly recommend others touring this beautiful winery!
Pennie S — Google review
I'm going to be honest, I was a bit leery because it was such a big corporation winery. But it was actually a great experience. First of all $5 for 4, 5 tastes? Awesome. Second, the chateau they had was incredibly classy but approachable. Third, the attendant at the bar was incredibly nice, easy to talk to, and poured us drinks we were curious about, even if they were off the list. Good times and nice vineyard to walk around.
Daniel C — Google review
A fantastic and pleasing place to visit.

Planned a private wine tasting with my girls to catch up and drink wine. They even helped out with creating a charcuterie board to sample with the wines. Overall, a great experience and a beautiful place. Shame it was raining, would have loved to walk around but the scenery was breathtaking. Will be visiting again during my next visit.

So many cute sitting areas for wine tasting. Unique decor. Even the ceiling lights were well done. Lois is so friendly and knowledgeable of the areas history. Really enjoyed the wine and the visit. We will be back.

Discovered this wonderful winery through Harvest Hosts and stopped by on a trip to Pendleton, OR. Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tasting wine on the patio. All of their wines were excellent and we left with a nice selection, but the Petit Verdot is exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Amazing reds and friendly service. Beautiful building and outdoor areas
Jessen L — Google review
While we didn’t partake in libations, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and folks that work here. Sno Road Winery hosted a cycling event (Echo Red to Red). The interior is nostalgic and comfortable. The outside area has a huge fireplace, different area to relax and an area for the musicians, who were quite good! God willing, we’ll see you next year!
Dianna M — Google review
Wine is amazing! We showed up as a group of six and they were having a private event but still let us do a tasting. Super friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

What an amazing little boutique winery! Lois and Lloyd have created the cutest winery with fabulous wines. We will be sure to make time to stop here often.

Hidden gem that's worth a visit! Great wine, with many options. Friendly staff. Awesome outdoor area that's great for hanging out and relaxing. Didn't hesitate to pick up a few bottles to take home on our first visit.

Such a great winery. The family is amazing that own it, friendly and welcoming. The silo outside is beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. They currently have all reds to taste but will have rose soon. They have beer also we had a charcuterie tray they prepared but your welcome to bring your own. We stayed in our motorhome on the property with Harvest Hosts and it was nice , safe and quiet . Will definitely stay again.

Sitting here for the last couple of hours enjoying a flight and a $5 glass of rose wine have made the end of a day amazing. I wanted to get out of my hotel room and it was way to hot to hike, so I decided to check out Echo. Tucked on a major street in Echo it felt like the bar Cheers walking in. I was the newly, but I felt welcomed. I decided to check out their flight and take advantage of their $5 wine Wednesday glasses. I tried the rose, muscat, and medium red. All were amazing, but it was something about the rose that was refreshing and light. So, this was my $5 glass choice! I sipped this on their relaxing outdoor space that has tons of seating and shade. I took my time reading and enjoying every sip. I decided to take a bottle of muscat home! It is a pretty unique flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Thank you for this experience Echo Ridge!! I will hopefully be back!
Chandra J — Google review
We had the wonderful experience of sipping wine and enjoying the beautiful garden patio at Echo Ridge Cellars last night. We started with a tasting flight and each wine was delicious making it difficult to decide which one to choose as our bottle for the evening. In the end we ordered the Rodeo Red. As fun as this wine sounds it was seriously delicious. The owners Jay and Kim circulated around the guests and we were lucky to be able to chat with them for a while and hear their stories. A very fun evening, Jay and Kim, and we are so happy to have met you.
Lorna R — Google review
You don’t just find Echo Ridge Winery — you stumble into it, like a secret whispered by the hills. One of those places where the land feels like it’s still catching its breath after a long history, and the wine carries all of that into the glass. The tasting room is humble, warm, and unbothered by pretense. You won’t find a velvet rope or performative wine snobbery here — just good people, a view that silences your phone, and flights that unfold like chapters in a dusty American novel. Every bottle had a story. One had wild blackberry and dusky cedar. Another tasted like late summer and the memory of rain. But the Cab Franc? That one stopped me. Like a campfire conversation you remember a decade later. The folks behind the counter? Kind, real, and clearly in love with the process. They’re not selling a lifestyle. They’re sharing what the land gave them. If you’re anywhere near Echo or drifting through the eastern side of Oregon, go here. Not to be impressed. Not to chase trends. But to remember how simple things — done honestly — can still surprise the hell out of you.
Richard H — Google review
Love the small winery feel, something for everyone’s tastes! The grounds are so beautiful and we appreciated the dog (well behaved) space. Filled up our car with CF Rose and Three Blondes and a Boy.
Michelle M — Google review
We stayed here through Harvest Hosts and had a great experience. Since it was a hot day, my wife tried their watermelon wine slushy—refreshing and absolutely delicious—while I enjoyed a couple of their beers. We also shared a veggie and hummus plate, which was equally tasty. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this spot!

Such an inspiring experience! We were passing through and I’m so glad we stopped. I think we have all heard about salmon migrations, but the information presented here goes much more in depth than I previously knew. It also does a great job explaining how the corps engineered the dam systems with salmon migrations in the forefront of their mind. They took every precaution possible to ensure salmon migrations are able to continue uninterrupted. Visiting really makes you think, “what can I do to help?”
Jonathan C — Google review
Great place. Very well kept parks available for picnics or parties. The visitor center had informative displays. There is a fish viewing room but it wasn’t migration season.
Ken P — Google review
Great fun for the family. Disc golf is a blast and the damn is a really cool backdrop for this course. Not a bad level of difficulty either. Just be careful not to throw it over the wall.

Interesting visitor center but this is the only dam along the Columbia River who has something against foreigners. You have to have a specific US ID to get in to the powerhouse. They won't accept US military IDs or any other government department ID. Only driver license and passport. I am surprised that are still at that point in 2018.

Hat Rock State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Lakeside park with boating, swimming, hiking, biking & a fishing pond amid arid sagebrush hills.
Nice stop wile driving out east. The park itself has a lot going on from a picnic area, short hikes and a fishing area. Bathrooms are clean and parking is plentiful.
Scott M — Google review
Beautiful place for a hike. Cool little fishing spot. Great picnic areas.
Eduardo A — Google review
There are houses right next to the Hat Rock. There are also picnic tables in a park nearby.
Brent W — Google review
In all honesty we took a ride to this park on our own Lewis and Clark Expedition starting in St. Louis. So we did very little at the park. We spent about 45 minutes taking pictures of Hat Rock and picnicking for lunch. This is a lovely well kept park . The picnick area has ample parking, nice clean picnic tables many in shade. This would be a fun park to explore as it does have a marina. What we saw we liked very much.
Elaine J — Google review
Take a support team but I swam across the river and back here about 2 miles. Do not attempt this without people who care if you live in boats and kayaks or paddleboards. When I learn to swim better I want to try a distance swim without fins and hand paddles.
Robert M — Google review
I looked around and didn't see a restroom. There was a note about starting to charge to visit in October. I don't think I'll go back.
Ray T — Google review
It's a cool place for sure. I went during winter so it wasn't green and the bathroom was closed. However it is still a fun little hike to see the hat shaped rock and read about Lewis and Clark and how the rock was formed.. stop by and see for yourself..
D A — Google review
One of those truly magical places. It is still basically wild but has a ton of history and some serious variety of nature. There is recently a suspected arson fire that destroyed quite a bit of wilderness but it's already regenerating just like it should. I did the hike from the Lewis and Clark trailhead Up to hat rock. Along the way you'll see some weird old things I'm pretty sure it's remnants of a old train depot and the foundation ,a bread Baking oven ,a stove And many old rusted remnants of the past. As you walk along you'll see animal paths coinciding with human paths as well as the old railroad grade. Work your way up to hot rock and you'll see an amazing view from the top. One of the best sunrises and sunsets can be seen in this area. Please pick up after yourself not many people will and it becomes a problem if things get chucked over and over and over. Also pack it out if you can instead of overloading dumpsters and making your problem somebody else's problem. I know all of this sounds hippie but we just need to do our part. If you're a strong swimmer there's an enclosed Swim area but you also can venture beyond and go out to the small island not too far. Don't be safe and you might be sorry ,be safe and you'll do much better. There are 2 campsites that are free but you have to reserve them it seems to be fairly difficult to get ahold of the agency in charge. Also be aware that this is rattlesnake country and they come out at night, so protect yourself. They don't want to hurt you ,they're just looking for a warm place to sleep. There are wetlands and scrub brush trees rocks animals just about everything in ecosystem needs. Go experience it. This is real Washington!

Terra Blanca Winery & Estate Vineyard

Mentioned on
1 list
Winery
Food & Drink
Terra Blanca Winery & Estate Vineyard, located in Red Mountain, offers a delightful experience for couples looking to indulge in wine tasting. The winery is set in a beautiful location with stunning views, making it feel like an oasis. While the tour may not always be available, the wine tasting provides a generous and varied selection of flavors. The $30 per head fee can be waived with the purchase of two bottles of wine.
Beautifully landscaped location with a spectacular view. The tasting room is elegant and spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The tasting selection was extensive and the wines superb! We purchased 3 cases! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We enjoyed our experience there. The party nearby left a pair of sunglasses on their table and the staff kindly ran out to return it to them. I highly recommend visiting here!
Linda W — Google review
Stopped here to do a wine tasting and wound up staying for lunch and then coming back for their monthly three course dinner later in the evening. The wine was some of the best we tasted in the Red Mountain area, and the food was just as spectacular. Katie who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and told us so much about both the wine and the region as well as how things are grown. She provided excellent wine recommendations and also let us compare and contrast some of the different wines which really made for a great tasting experience. If I lived in the area I would definitely come back often for both the food and the wine, but we had to settle with ordering some to be shipped home.
Laura K — Google review
We had the Ceasar salad and chicken. The dressing was not terrible but was put on a little heavy and needed just a little more zest to it to be very good. We also had the Giacomo pizza, which was very good. It had very good ingredients and was cooked nicely. Lizzy had the Albarino and seemed to enjoy it a lot. Overall prices are not terrible for a vineyard but are on the pricier side but not a terrible value. We We definitely come back on occasion.
Zachary R — Google review
We booked a tasting followed by a reservation for their Thursday night happy hour. The facility is very very nice, with Italianate decorations and patio. The wines were some of the best in the area, as well as plenty of different types to try. The food was SO so good too! I felt like we had really lucked out on booking at this winery, and I don't feel like we could have gotten better food anywhere else in the area. The Divola pizza was divine! Our server was very kind and personable, which is always appreciated. She answered all of our questions and never made us feel neglected or rushed. The owner of the winery was present behind the bar that night and opened up wines not on the menu so that we could have extra tastings, which made us feel very special. I will definitely come back again, and specifically book the Happy Hour too! I am very appreciative to have found this winery!
Rebecca F — Google review
Tami and Katy were the best! They were so kind and personable. Additionally, the charcuterie board was the best we have ever had and bonus because they also had local draft beer which my fiancée enjoyed. They had a great selection of white estate wines to choose from. The arch terrace Chardonnay did not disappoint.
Martha T — Google review
Loved this gorgeous winery! The view is absolutely breath taking. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends as this place gets very busy. They have an onsite kitchen and is a very popular spot for wine and lunches. They are dog friendly on the patio only. You get to taste about 8 wines for $30 Or fee is waived with a purchase of any two bottles. Tasting did not disappoint from their whites to red. They have a variety for all taste buds. I loved all their Cabs. They have a mix of 100% Cab to some with Merlot and Cab Franc. All were delish and as I was tasting I kept thinking of food items these would pair well with. Of course we purchased half a case variety of red wines. Venue is super clean, great vibe and super friendly staff. Darcy and Alex were both amazing. We will definitely be going back here when in the area.
Reetu P — Google review
Alex H.was our waitress, and Chef Dan was our cook. When we arrived, we were seated appropriately. The wine tasting was interesting. Then, YES! My order was running late (food ).Ok stop! Here comes the Five stars. I expressed it was best to get the bill, and move on... NOPE! They took it to the next level and as light as they are with staff, they came through in a clutch.
Marc L — Google review
We didnt get to do the tour due to unavailability and had to contend with the wine testing. First thing first - beautiful location. Felt like an Oasis when we went in. Beautiful views. Coming to wine testing - nice flavors (I am not a big wine lover, but liked the different tastes/wines they had). They charged $30/head. That would have been waived off, had you gotten two bottles of wines from them. Since I am not a big wine drinker, i opted for the tasting. They have cheese and crackers, which we need to buy and they would serve it for you. Our hostess was patient and clear while explaining each one before pouring. We didnt get food here, but i saw food being served to a table. I would definitely recommend this place if you wanted to do some wine tasting.

Carol-Lynn is so nice. I loved the wines. They're the best I have tasted in a very long time. Red Mountain is by far my fav. The venue at Tucannon is so pretty. She has a huge red barn for weddings and gatherings enough for 250 people. Can't wait to go back.

Our favourite winery in the Red Mountain area! The location is amazing with a relaxing atmosphere. We did not want to leave, ever! Very inviting and fun place to socialize. The food is delicious and the wine is a must try with it amazing blends. Definitely coming back to visit!

Bought cases of wine on "sale" and they were terrible. Tried to get back my money and was willing to turn all unopened bottles over. But was told they were from " the previous owner." No other reason. Probably not stored properly. Worst customer service on this sale. Even if it was from previous owner. The wine sucks. Venue is OK.

Rate it a 10. Best wine tasting ever. This place was clean, comfortable, friendly, organized. I really enjoyed my stop there on a Silver City Winos 10 day wine tour. I highly recommend and I will be going back!

New owners in the last year = incredible new varieties! Hands down the best rose in eastern Washington, and if you haven't tried it you are missing out! Cute, quiet, and cozy venue with beautifully landscaped grounds and a knowledgeable and friendly tasting room staff. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

This tasting room was a delight to visit. Savannah was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the wines and vineyards. We had a "small" charcuterie plate. It was quite big and easily fed 2 people. It was fresh, tasty, and had good variety. The tasting room was beautiful with a covered outside deck that overlooks the vineyards. The wine was amazing! Their reds definitely shine. I even like some varietals that I typically don't care for. I ended up joining their wine club :) Great service, wine, food, view, and atmosphere!

Wonderful experience. Lots of great wines and food. Beautiful building with wonderful views of Red Mountain and Rattlesnake Mountain.

I cannot say enough good things about this winery! We booked a tasting along with a charcuterie board while we explored the local vinyards. We intended to only stay for an hour or so, but ended up loving the gorgeous balcony, delicious wine, and great service so much that we cancelled our next stop so we could spent a lovely afternoon with a bottle of their Lemberger and some more charcuterie. We also learned a lot about the local vinyards and history as well, which is always appreciated. I can't get over how beautiful the entire facility and balcony was. It is one of the prettiest wineries I have ever been to! We will definitely come back again!

Great experience! We really enjoyed learning about the three generations who have developed this winery into a showcase in the Red Mountain AVA. Wine cards with descriptions of each wine allowed us to set our own pace. We pre-ordered a large charcuterie for our group of eight.

Robust, well-balanced wines in a beautiful setting. Savannah was an excellent ambassador who made us feel welcome. We left with 16 bottles and a new appreciation of Washington wines.

My wife and I loved the wine selection. Kiona is making some top-notch wine. The location is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about their wine and the local wineries. I would recommend Kiona as your first stop in the Red Mountain AVA.

They have the best rosé and riesling here! Absolutely had to take a bottle home. Their charcuterie was also the perfect balance of all the necessary wine pairing snacks. So good!

09/14/24 We just had a wonderful experience today here at Red Mountain trails. We did the Vineyard Wagon Ride, and the host/driver was absolutely wonderful. She told us about the grapes-harvesting and the native species of plants as we traveled along the trail. My wife loved her B-day gift today. Perfect day for it with upper 70's and sunny. We highly recommend this place and will be back with family when they visit. Thank you RMT for a wonderful trip today. :-)

The "Horse Experience" was so wonderful. Riding is so much fun, but there is a ton of enjoyment to be had grooming the horses, learning how they communicate, and communicating with them in the ring! I highly recommend this experience. I took my nearly 97-year-young grandma and she enjoyed grooming her horse so much. What a good day. Teresa is so generous and it is obvious she cares deeply about her horses. I'm grateful she offers all of us a chance to join in.

Emily is such a great and knowledgeable trail ride leader and gave us a beautiful ride touring several wineries! They have a wonderful boutique showcasing local artists and many fun classes. This is my second trail ride and I will be doing many more. If you are ever in Tri Cities or surrounding, please stop by!

Teresa is very kind and informative. She allowed a group of us to show up last minute to surprise a family member who loves horses. It was a very good experience. We all enjoyed ourselves. Her horses are so sweet and funny. Also, I highly recommend her homemade goat milk soap! It smells phenomenal and leaves your skin feeling so soft.

Spent 3 days wine tasting in the Red Mountain area with 2 other couples. We did the Sunset Wagon Ride and Dinner with Red Mountain Trails on our last night. What a great experience. It was about a 30 minute wagon ride each way to a simple table set up for the 6 of us table cloth and all. Beautiful view of the valley and was totally quiet except for the laughter of our group. Great food from the grill and much more than our group could eat. This was the highlight of our trip and was very different than the usual noisy restaurant. Will definitely do it again.

The Gesa Carousel of Dreams is a historic 1910 carousel that has been a beloved attraction for over a century. Originally located at Silver Beach Amusement Park in Michigan, this masterpiece was crafted by renowned carver Charles Carmel and features intricately designed horses. After being dismantled, it found its way to Roswell, New Mexico before finally settling in Kennewick, Washington.
My kids and grandson hadn't been here before. They had a great time. Take a ride on their 44 horse carousel. $3 tokens can be purchased at a wall unit. The staff are friendly. Your kids and grandchildren are gonna love this place.

My son had to use the restroom and I seen they had restrooms inside. So I took him in to use it and as I was talking with my wife that I would like to take the boys for a ride on the carousel sometime. Suddenly this old lady that works there told us to use the restrooms outside that the ones are for paying customers. As someone that doesn’t know the area I thought it was rude of that lady to practically kicking us out of the place. If you don’t want people using your restrooms maybe you should put a sign up. Restrooms for paying customers only. It’s the proper way to tell people. Anyways, I changed my mind about taking my boys there with an unprofessional staff.
Alfredo J — Google review
My little guy was unable to ride the ride with my older son, it was incredibly busy and we drove over an hour to come just to turn around. I was so sad to find the information when we got there and not anywhere posted online. The staff was incredibly friendly and sweet. The rating is not a reflection of them but rather a reflection of the lack of information provided anywhere to make an appropriate judgement before driving so far. It was a beautiful ride and had very kind staff. Would have been enjoyable had I known everything in advance. We attempted to call ahead but they were unavailable to answer questions. We took our chances and were sad to find we couldn't ride. That's okay. Maybe another time.

The gentleman running the carousel were amazing. They were so friendly, kind and had a wonderful spirit about them. They went above and beyond making every family and child’s experience truly magical. I cannot say enough wonderful things about that team.

The staff are truly some of the kindest friendliest people we have ever met, I wish I would have caught their names, but they were too busy making sure we had an amazing visit. The way they interact with you will make you feel like a kid again, and I’m so glad the kind gentleman running the ride convinced me to ride with my son. We will definitely be visiting any time we’re in the area, and recommending that everyone else do the same.

What a lovely place to visit! An indoor, beautiful, antique carousel that is over 100 years old. It looks an operates like new. The staff were all so kind and friendly. How refreshing that was! The children who think they’re just a bit too big to enjoy may be surprised to find themselves having fun trying to capture a brass ring. :)

Fun for the little ones in summer you can rent bikes. They gave a party room and a snack bar they do all sorts of special events here easiest way to find them is to watch their facebook page. During the summer they do a food truck event. There is a concession stand to buy food and drinks if you get hungry or thirsty in the carosel or the park.

Howard Amon Park, situated on the Columbia River in Richland, Washington, offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors. The park features tree-lined walking paths, tennis courts, and a playground for children of all ages. Additionally, it provides access to the river for fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming.
We absolutely love this park! Lots of stuff for all ages, with new, well-maintained playground, zip line, climbing walls, sandbox, accessible playplace, and wading pool. Great picnic tables, trash cans, and shady grassy areas for picnics or parties. Close to the river and walking trail. This is our favorite park!

The wife and I stopped here while enjoying the evening after dinner visiting Richland. Great park with lots of paved access for wheelchairs and mobility devices. Easy to get near the water. Even at night it was mostly well lit. Certainly an interesting dichotomy with the fancy river cruise boat docked at one end and the homeless resources van at the others. The restrooms were ROUGH and smelled like cheap weed but the overall park was clean and well maintained. We even banged around on the little precision garden next to the playground and it was nice. Lots of folks playing pickle ball and volleyball and the courts were well lit. Totally worth a stop and the history of this land is cool too with the connection to the Manhattan project. On a side note it was nice to see a publicly accessible AED in the parking lot with lots of lights directing you to it.

In town for Art in the Park. Parking was NUTS, but the park is huge and awesome with tons of cool toys and things to do. Plus hundreds of vendors. Will be back next year. Awesome job Richland Parks and Rec team!!

It's a king-sized park that runs along the river. On a hot day it's a fun place to swim. Huge shade trees, green grass, squirrels, and a paved walkway that runs throughout the park. Picnic tables, benches, and really fun looking kids Playgrounds - and there's a wading pool too.
Wildcraft R — Google review
Howard Amon Park is a very large and versatile park with so much to offer, especially for families with children. The playground area is expansive—kids could spend hours here exploring and playing, which is always a good sign (and might even mean an early bedtime afterward!). There’s even a small rock climbing wall where little ones can start learning to climb in a safe environment. At the moment, the water pool is under construction and won’t reopen until summer 2026, but there’s still plenty to enjoy. The park also has a nice little beach area along the Columbia River, perfect for fishing if that’s your thing, though I personally wouldn’t recommend swimming there. The grounds are beautiful, with wide grassy spaces, lots of trees (great for hanging up a hammock), and plenty of shaded spots to relax. There are also picnic areas available to rent for gatherings and special occasions. Overall, this is one of the most robust and well-rounded parks I’ve ever visited—perfect for families, events, or just enjoying the outdoors.

We love this park! One of the best parks in the USA in my opinion! Love vending here for Art in the Park festival with my business THE WAVY BUNCH! Lots of shade, fun playgrounds, soft grass & great swimming!

I truly enjoyed my time at the park. It was snowing, very cold, deserted, and so beautiful. The world was hushed with snow. The only sounds were the birds chattering on the river. I look forward to seeing the sunrise next time I visit. Do be aware that I spotted a rare venomous tundra squirrel. Don't turn your back to it and show no fear as it can sense such things.

Where two rivers meet, this expanse has hikes, kitchen shelter & a center focusing on Lewis & Clark.
This is a great historical state park that is located on the northwest side of the Snake River and Columbia River. There are a few easily walkable trails and some artifacts that you can view, not to mention the museum. I would recommend stopping if you're in the area and have the family with you. The kids might like some of the artifacts. As always, leave no trace, leave it better than you found it, and enjoy 😉!

Nice ground to walk but it opens at 10am. Really would be nice if they would keep the websites up to date since they say 8am. We didn't get to go in the museum or interactive areas since they were closed and we had to be in Walla Walla soon after. Maybe next time

Sacagawea State Park is a canine paradise with easy access to water, allowing our four-legged friends to frolic freely. The expansive grounds offer plenty of shared spaces and breathtaking views, creating a serene escape. The perpetual shade from the tree canopy enhances the experience, making it an ideal haven for both nature lovers and their furry companions.

Beautiful, well maintained park! Tons of open space with many mature trees that offer ample shade. The water was quiet and beautiful, our toddler & pup both loved watching the geese. The historical exhibit is thoughtfully designed with interesting & relevant history of the indigenous tribes surrounding the Columbia river. Lots of parking & ample space for our RV to maneuver in and out of the park.

Planters are empty or over grown, walking path is dirt, only old swings to play on. The swimming beach needs to be cleaned out and is not usable. This park is sad and needs updating. I felt terrible that we wasted a precious limited time there. If you go through, at least walk through the museum. It was a tiny bit interesting. I give it one star.

The park is located at the confluence of the Columbia and Snake rivers. It is such lovely park with lots of picnic tables under large shady trees. It has a boat dock and paths with informative signs about the area and its history. An interpretive center is located in the middle of the park with displays about Lewis & Clark and the area's native peoples. There is no cost to visit the center. However, a 10-dollar fee or a 30-dollar annual Discovery Pass is required to visit the park.

LIGO Hanford Observatory

Observatory
Museums
Observatories & Planetariums
Stopped in a few years for a random visit out of the blue. I did not make any arrangements, nor checked any calendar of events for open visiting hours. I just drove up to the front gate and asked if I could enter the property. Given its status as an academic center, I was allowed on the property but not allowed to enter most of the buildings. That was ok by me, it was more than I expected, to be granted the opportunity to step on the property and at least walk around the facilities for a bit unescorted (I'm sure they could watch me on the cameras). I took a few good pictures to commemorate the experience and came away with the thrill of knowing that century old theories of a brilliant physicist had finally been confirmed. Since that trip I vowed that any further visits to such a place would be better arranged. I had my opportunity a couple of years later, when friends planned on meeting in New Orleans. I made sure to fly in two days before I did and made sure to arrange a tour of LIGO Livingston.

Amazing to see the ingenuity of humanity. Being able to measure changes in gravity at such resolution is incredible! And having an amazing area to show kids the effects of gravity and wave forms is super fun and educational. Also. The best bathrooms in the world

LIGO is a wonderful place where people can see how tax dollars are responsibly used to increase human knowledge. The good news is that one need not be a scientist to comprehend the information presented. I highly recommend a trip to LIGO for all those curious about space and the natural world. Tickets are free, but you must sign up in advance.

Unveiling the Cosmos: A Stellar Experience at Sanford LIGO Observatory As an enthusiast of all things astronomical, my visit to the Sanford LIGO Observatory was nothing short of breathtaking. This facility, a pinnacle of scientific achievement, offers a unique glimpse into the cutting-edge of cosmological exploration, and it did not disappoint. A Marvel of Modern Science The highlight of the observatory, without a doubt, are the massive x-y arms, crucial for the LIGO's mission to detect gravitational waves. Witnessing these monumental structures up close was awe-inspiring, offering a tangible connection to the abstract and profound phenomena they're designed to observe. The sheer scale and precision of these arms encapsulate human ingenuity's boundless reach, a testament to our quest to decode the universe's most elusive mysteries. Enlightening Guided Tour The guided tour was a cornerstone of the visit, transforming what could have been a mere observational experience into an immersive educational journey. The guide, brimming with knowledge and enthusiasm, elucidated the complex scientific principles with remarkable clarity. Understanding how these arms function to detect the ripples in spacetime created by distant cosmic events was absolutely fascinating. It was a perfect blend of profound science communicated in an accessible manner. Architectural Grandeur Meets Scientific Endeavor Beyond its scientific significance, the observatory's design is a visual feast. The x-y arms, stretching across the landscape, create a striking harmony between human-made structures and the natural world. They stand as a bold declaration of our presence in the cosmos, reaching out to listen to the universe's ancient whispers. Final Thoughts My visit to the Sanford LIGO Observatory was an enlightening journey that expanded my appreciation for the universe and the extraordinary efforts we undertake to understand it. The observatory isn't just a place; it's a portal to the cosmos, offering rare insights into the fabric of spacetime itself. For anyone curious about the universe, passionate about science, or simply in awe of humanity's capability to explore the cosmos, a visit to this observatory is an absolute must. It’s a place where science meets imagination, where the cosmos's secrets are within our grasp, and where the universe's silent music is heard loud and clear.
Sungjoo H — Google review
A colleague of mine wanted to go here so we did a short road trip from seattle to here. The staff is super nice. We had an appointment for the observatory tour at 11:45 am and they were on time. They first explained about what they do at the observatory. And they took us to some few important spots in the campus. The person who was taking us on tour, answered all questions. We had a great experience. If you are interested in knowing more about the observatory, then definitely it’s worth the visit!!

Now, we are a very outdoorsy family and love being out in nature but... yikes! The Spiders. So many spiders we all felt like we were in the movie arachnophobia. I didn't even know I had a fear of spiders until this trip. I am going home with 30 bites from spiders and mosquitoes AFTER using the most toxic bug repellent we could buy. Park hosts were kind at the entrance but then very rude to a few of our members saying things like "oh I didn't realize you couldn't read" when one of our elderly guests apparently pulled in "wrong" to the site. Swimming was not an option with the amount of grass, leeches and water bugs. We held our family reunion here with 50+ people and EVERYONE was on high alert throughout the trip due to staff, spiders, and worrying the kiddos would get sick if they snuck off to the water. Such a shame because it seemed so beautiful when we arrived! Facilities: bathrooms were well maintained but again, walking to and attempting to enter through the webs and spiders dropping from trees doors and walls was so spooky! We survived but will not be back.
Cherrielee R — Google review
The campground’s proximity to the lake is unbeatable. However, swimming enthusiasts should be aware that the water near the shore is hindered by dense grass. If you have a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe, you can easily navigate past the aquatic vegetation. Our boat and jet ski adventures were a blast! Being able to moor right by our campsite made it super convenient. Kudos to the campground for organizing movie nights for the kids. It’s a thoughtful touch that adds to the family-friendly vibe. While the staff’s diligence is commendable, their vigilance sometimes felt a tad excessive. We even got a gentle scolding for filling our trailer with water before the official check-in time (2 pm sharp!). They have electric hookups, but there are no water hookups. The free dump station awaits as you exit. Just remember not to park on the grass; the staff is vigilant about that! The bathrooms were clean, and the free showers were a welcome relief after lake adventures. Beware, though—the spiders were out in force during our August visit. Over all Hood Park has picturesque setting, but be prepared for some strict rules and watch out for those eight-legged lake companions! I didn’t get a lot of pictures.

Locked in a campsite with stray wild dogs. That's the experience I had the first 2 days I spent there. Our dogs were attacked, and no one cared. Park attendant said this happens all the time!!!! Park attendant said they can't help you, but they can lock you in the camp ground with a wild loose Belgian malinois dog. Big dog!!! I was scared most of my trip and I have night mares since. Our party member who needed to go to the hospital because of these park conditions had to wait 3 hours till 6 am to get out of the park. It's not a safe place for kids or dogs, and the people running this park can not legally help you. They told me this. Never again. It's not the place I remember, and sadly, I won't return with my kids... Overpriced and only half a refund to get ptsd from their poorly run park. My dog had to stay in my car for 2 days. Please fix this... it was very sad for me and my kids. Save your money. This place is not safe! I am including the picture of the dog running loose on my trip. Not my dog. Mine is 6 lbs.

A beautiful park in the middle of Billings. There are tennis courts, a playground, a kiddie pool, and a disc golf course. There are also picnic tables and a few grills. The park is used by families, college students, and people who want a good walk. The paved walks go all the way around the park ( close to a mile) and a couple go through the park. It is built on the side of a hill so sledding is popular after it snows, and it makes a great venue in summer for Shakespeare in the Park and the Annual Billings Symphony in the Park. During the summer there are also movies in the park - I've never been to one but have thought about it many times. It is one of my favorite places to take a walk.

Palouse Falls State Park

Park
Nature & Parks
State Parks
Basalt canyons & a 198-ft. thundering waterfall with an ADA-accessible overlook, plus a campground.
Palouse Falls is where the Earth remembers violence—and turns it into beauty. You walk up to the edge of the canyon, and it’s like staring into an ancient wound that never closed. Jagged basalt cliffs split the sky, and then—boom—there it is: A waterfall flung from a prehistoric flood, roaring down into a bowl carved by the Ice Age like some god took a chisel to the land and said, “Remember this.” It’s loud. It’s wild. It’s real. You don’t go to Palouse Falls for comfort—you go to feel small in the right way. The views are cinematic, the trails are short but striking, and golden hour turns the cliffs to fire. Great for photos, better for perspective. A few things to note: the paths can be raw and exposed—respect the edge. And while the park’s facilities are basic, the majesty isn’t. Come prepared. Leave a little more awake than you arrived. If you like your beauty untamed and your soul rattled by geography—this is your place.
Richard H — Google review
The drive in is on a gravel groomed road of about 2 miles. The park does require the Discover Pass which can be purchased at the park if you do not already have one. Credit card payments only. The parking is limited to about 20 spaces. There is a restroom building and port a potties available. The paved walking path leads to an open picnic area with one covered table but mostly shaded tables to enjoy the warm breeze. The walking paths to the different view points is steep in some spots, walking sticks advised. Don't forget to walk to the right of the restrooms for some more spectacular views of the area.

This is a remote treasure in Eastern Washington. I late Sept the Falls didn't have the full flow of water but the rocks and the birds made it special. Seeing a Peregrine Falcon in the wid currents was cool! There are bathrooms, picnic tables and some short hiking trails. Small parking lot and 2 miles of gravel road getting in. Still worth it. Lyons Ferry Park nearby is a good side trip.

Official Falls of Washington State. Close to Tri-Cities. Decent parking and disability access. The on-site restrooms are the permanent outhouse style but they're well maintained. The views are amazing. Just outside of the parking area, away from the main viewing overlook, there are lots trails. CAUTION: Most of this extended area has little or no barriers, allowing visitors to get right up to the edge. There is a significant risk of the canyon edge giving way, leading to serious danger.

Waterfalls, places of fast running water, are very healing on the energetic level. They are also rich in negative ions. It feels so good just being there. One more miracle of Mother Earth. Beautiful place to visit.
Iryna P — Google review
Scenic falls are just a short walk from the parking lot. There are restrooms there as well. You will need a discovery pass or pay there. The last 2 miles of the road into the park are unpaved (gravel) so know that your vehicle will get dusty.

*You have to click on the pics to get full view* This place is a hidden prize. It is out in the middle of nowhere. You drive up and see flat lands, and then you get out and walk to the trail. And there it is, this amazingly beautiful water feature from nature. The waterfall is worth the time to take the trip. There is a trail in front of the falls to see the falls and the water below. Then there are trails off to the side to see from different angles. I did not take the side trail. I saw people going and then showing up at the edges to see the falls and surrounding areas. There are two parking lots that accommodate everyone and then some. There are bathrooms available. I absolutely loved this place. It was very much worth my time. I highly recommend enjoying this bit of amazing scenery.

Free entry and parking with a WA discover pass. Totally worth a couple hour drive. Not a hike but there is a short walking trail, lots of picnic tables, and of course the beautiful and relaxing Washington state waterfall.

Stopped here on a whim and were so glad we did! We ordered: Cow pie combo pizza, cheese pizza and garlic cheese bread. All of it was absolutely amazing! Probably the best pizza I have ever had. The portions were very generous and although we were full, we opted for a piece of chocolate cream pie...tastes better than Grandma's. Highly recommend this place, friendly staff, exceptional food, clean facilities; cute gift shop and reasonable prices.

I stopped in last night to take a look and see what sorts of things they had at the Cow Creek Mercantile and let me say this building is jam packed with all sorts of things. On one side of the building there is a “restaurant” with seating that serves things like homemade soup, salads, pizza, dessert (and more) and then on the store side you will find things like gifts, toys for children, jam, soup mixes, tea, cookie cutters, jewelry, home decor items, stained glass, cards, soaps, dish clothes, scrub pads, lotions, masks, magnets, Christian items, books and much, much more! It’s worth a quick stop if even to just stretch your legs. Of interest is the fact that there is a number of electric charging vehicle stations at the far end of their parking lot.

This is a great place to stop for a meal in the middle of nowhere. I ordered a half BBQ beef sandwich, served on a baguette and toasted, plus a side of broccoli salad. Soooooo yummy! My wife ordered the club sandwich with hamburger vegetable soup, both of which were delicious. If we're ever traveling to eastern Washington or northern Idaho, we'll definitely be stopping here!

Stopped in for a quick lunch passing through. 1 hour later, still no food on the table..... No idea why a sandwich takes that long. There was no wait for being seated at a table. But I should have guessed there was a reason why no one had food at their tables.. Once we got it, this was what we got. This picture is before we touched it.. Dont know why they bothered with the chips at all. Not worth the wait.. I would not recommend it.

😮GOOD GOSH ALMIGHTY 😮 Husband wanted pizza for dinner and I order what we usually get back home..large. meat-lovers type, their pizza 🍕 is HUGE and loaded with big slices of Canadian bacon, pepperoni and slices of mozzarella 😮 lots of crumbled sausage and bacon pieces. I could only eat one slice and my husband ate a slice and half🤣. We should have ordered either a small or just individual slices(not sure if that is an option)🤣🤣 pizza is really good 👍🏼 if from outta town I recommend this place but be worn...it's a LOT OF PIZZA🤣🥴😮

Rejuvenating!! I did my first tandem jump with George!! I LOVED IT!! From the moment George said hello I felt safe and confident in his experience. AND I WAS RIGHT TO DO SO!! He gave me 2 jumps in one!! What a rush!! We had to ditch our first shoot and use our reserve!! AND I was the first tandem he had landed with the reserve shoot!! Not once was I scared or unsure of my decision. So of course I had to pay the “beer fine” which they unexpectedly were surprised when I payed the fine in full as a thank you for packing that second shoot that saved our butts!!George!! Bro!! Thank you! It was pure soul food and you are amazing!! I’m definitely going to do it again!! (Pictures to come soon)

Last year, I decided to celebrate my birthday by facing one of my biggest fears…heights! Life had thrown some unexpected challenges my way that were completely out of my control, and I wanted to take on something that felt like a choice, a challenge for growth and adventure. So, I booked my first tandem skydive at Skydive West Plains, and I am so glad I did! From the moment I arrived, the crew made me feel comfortable, safe, and excited. The jump itself was unforgettable, equal parts breathtaking and empowering. It was more than just a thrill; it was a reminder of courage and living fully, I did a tandem jump with Anandae and she was incredibly reassuring that safety and fun were her top priorities. This year, I went back again for round two! George was great and super energetic to tandem jump with! Both experiences were very different, but both absolutely amazing. This time, I also had the opportunity to do an observer ride-along flight, and let me just say, flying with Dan, Dan the pilot man was a blast! Riding in a plane with the doors open is an adventure all its own, and I highly recommend it if you get the chance. Something I’ve reflected on through this experience is that we take risks every day, whether driving a car or even just walking down the street. Choosing to live a little, to add life to your years, is worth it. As a single parent, I think it’s especially important to remind ourselves that we are also our own person outside of being “mom” or “dad.” Taking on this adventure reminded me of that, and it’s something I’ll carry with me forever. Thank you so much, Skydive West Plains, for creating not just a safe environment but a life-changing one. I can’t wait until the next jump!

Went for my second jump and it was just as nice as the place I jumped first. The staff is great. Monkey checked us in she was very upbeat and full of info. Steel was my instructor he was good and very communicative on everything through strapping into the harness to why we came in to the drop zone as we did. The pilot sorry can't remember his name but was friendly and gave a great flight to the point of jumping. I wish I would be in the area longer I would take my aff here great energy and the vibe was there.

Stopped in to visit our son. The Drop Zone is a nice operation The Instructors are very knowledgeable, Safety is the 1st Prioity. I witnessed Fun happening, both Instructors and Students had an excitement visible as they headed to the Plane. If you are looking for a Drop Zone, I would strongly recommend Skydive West Plains.

Rode as an observer in the jump plane on July 5th while my friends did solo jumps and was an awesome experience! I’ve done multiple tandem jumps, but this gave me a whole different perspective and recommend it for skydivers and non-skydivers alike. No better view than from the co-pilots seat…unless you’re actually jumping of course😃 The pilot, Dan, was fantastic and a lot of fun and the whole team at Skydive West Plains was great!
David M — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience, I was absolutely terrified when we were about to jump but I'm so glad I did. My instructor George was amazing and made the whole experience feel very safe and high quality. Im 100% coming back for more

Top tier!! George was my instructor and he made it one heck of an experience! All of the staff were extremely informative and professional. I’ll be returning for sure. The pilot did amazing, kept the flight smooth the entire time.

We had the great opportunity of staying the night through Harvest Host; though we didn’t take the leap and skydive we had a phenomenal time watching the many skydives that occurred throughout the afternoon all landing successfully and on mark. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, dedicated to their love of skydiving.

Sprague Lake Resort

After years of driving past this lake on I-90 we decided to take detour and stay the night. The town of Sprague is not much to write home about, and the drive into the resort was also a bit sketchy. However, that final turn into the resort was surprising. It was clean, organized and well maintained. It's been owned by the same woman for 22 years, and she's been on site for 52 years! We did a quick walk around, picked a campsite and got setup. We quickly fell in love with the simplicity of everything. She even let me borrow a fishing pole. In the evening our campsite was invaded by turtles, which was a delight, proving this place is full of surprises. It may not be the most posh RV spot on the planet, but the Sprague Lake Resort did not disappoint!
Chris B — Google review
One of the most beautiful camp spots we have stayed in. Easy on and off I-90. Serene, well kept grounds and meticulously clean. It is privately owned so not fancy with pools and such. People were fishing and relaxing. This hidden gem is breathtakingly picturesque. It has plenty of shade and grass. Full hook ups as well as beautiful tent spots. We have a new favorite!
Loriiz B — Google review
Decent place, but bathrooms and shower aren’t great. Everything is pretty clean but the toilets are low and small, tight stalls and open air. The shower is so small my truck camper’s is bigger. Nightly rates are fair but they nickel and dime you for everything and charge 5% for using a card, $5 deposit for a shower etc. They also gouge you for rv dump 10 per night, so if staying more than 1 night it’s cheaper to dump at the gas station in Ritzville. The train is noisy and may keep you awake at night. On the plus side it’s green and shaded. Saw some nice fish landed at the dock though our luck wasn’t great.
Jordan O — Google review
Beautiful place. Lots of trains. If you are a light sleeper, this isn't the place for you. The owner doesn't like outdoor rugs on the ground, which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but there was goose and duck poo everywhere. Also, she doesn't allow radio on outside your trailer. If you are a fussy camper, this isn't the place for you.
Joleen W — Google review
Beautiful place. Host is nice. However, prices are a little high. Base price for two people and additional price for more people. Wifi is not free. Can by bundles of wood which are a bit pricey. Bathrooms are okay but showers were locked. There are electric and sewer hookups.

I am here now! This place smells terrible! There is ZERO swimming. This is a place for people that are driving through and have no where else to park. Don't bring kids here. I will never be back!!!! There was a couple looking at the lake with a horrified look on their faces. Same experience I had!
Tina L — Google review
Monica sticks to her rules, but she keeps the place clean and enjoyable. Peaceful, if you don't mind a few trains going buy. Fantastic views from every spot. The lake is warm and has a lot of algae, so our kids didn't want to swim in it. Kayaking was fun, however.
Matthew J — Google review
Beautiful resort! I didn't stay this time but it's 40$ per night(I think that's high but might just b me) and RV&tent camping right on the lake! Fishing too! I didn't see any stores around. I recommend checking Sprague Lake Resort out for sure!

Our 2nd time down for the races. Everything was VERY well run once again. It only costs 25 bucks to dry camp for the weekend in the fields beside the track. The first picture is our view of the golf course from our rv. Beers/drinks are only $4. (hard liquor only in the upper VIP area) The weather was great. Races are SO MUCH fun to watch, expecially the Unlimited Class boats. Man, are they FAST!! Bird & animal sanctuary on 16,000 acres of permanent & seasonal wetlands with hiking trails.
Beautiful area. Beautiful park. So many trails and it's absolutely peaceful and perfect on a weekday. This park is worth the drive to check out. There's roads south of the entrance that looks like on maps that it's a much bigger area with intersecting roads, you could get pretty lost and it's perfect for that if you're trying to accomplish disappearing lmao.
Devin E — Google review
Very beautiful wildlife refuge! You'll feel like your miles and miles away. Also, the rangers are very nice & helpful and the bathrooms are clean. We didn't see any large animals (moose, elk), but saw and heard a lot of small animals & birds.

Can't say enough nice things about this place. They had a nice little gift shop and education center. There is a 5.5 mile driving loop that is beautiful with lots of spots to park and walk trails. The trails are all easy walks. We saw a swan and a moose and lots of chipmunks and birds. Looking forward to going back in spring to see the wild flowers.

Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge in Cheney, WA is truly one of those rare places that leaves a lasting impression on your soul. From the moment you enter, you can feel the peace and stillness that nature offers here. The refuge is beautifully maintained, and everything from the trails to the viewing areas reflects the care and respect the staff and volunteers have for this land and the wildlife that call it home. Every visit feels like stepping into a living postcard. The scenery changes with the seasons, offering something new and breathtaking each time, from vibrant wetlands and pine forests to serene lakes that perfectly mirror the sky. The abundance of wildlife is incredible. It’s not uncommon to see moose, elk, deer, and a variety of birds all in one visit. The moose sightings alone make this place special, and seeing one up close, peacefully moving through the landscape, is a moment you don’t forget. One of the highlights of Turnbull is the 5.5-mile auto loop, which allows you to drive your car through the refuge at your own pace. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and wildlife up close without having to leave their vehicle. Along this scenic route, you’ll find incredible photo opportunities and peaceful moments surrounded by nature. It’s not uncommon for moose to wander right past your car, giving you an unforgettable close encounter in a completely natural setting. The staff here are genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about conservation. They are always willing to share insights about the refuge, the animals, and the history of the area. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the refuge so clean, accessible, and inviting for visitors. All the trails are thoughtfully laid out and very well maintained. Most are easy and suitable for all ages, making this an ideal spot for families, photographers, hikers, and anyone who just wants to reconnect with nature. Whether you come for a quiet walk, wildlife photography, or simply to breathe and unwind, Turnbull delivers peace and beauty in every direction. This is truly a hidden gem of the Pacific Northwest, a place that deserves to be experienced no matter where you’re coming from. If you love nature, serenity, and wildlife, make the trip. You won’t regret it.

If your considering going to the concert venue here please be aware its roughly 50% standing room only, the sound is OK at best, and the lighting setup while pretty cool will dang near blind you multiple times on its sweeps. Restaurant was pretty dang decent but the casino floor is smokey as all-get-out.

This particular casino, where my luck consistently runs against me, is where I recently experienced a significant loss. I spent a considerable amount of time playing the penny games offered at Max. However, I finally managed to take advantage of the hotel accommodations. Yes, the stay itself was enjoyable. It would have been truly exceptional if I had ultimately won. Nevertheless, it was a five-star experience overall.

Went to the Halloween party last night.... Absolutely loved the decoration the lighting and everything they put into it... However... The DJ and music choice sucked so bad. I went because I wanted to dance..."this being a dance and all," you really couldn't get into it. The music was all over the place from the DJ, playing house trap music, "safe music," and censored some of the songs though this was an adult only party. The band was playing old rock music that you couldn't dance to. Had the music been better this party would have been poppin. I watched from my table and watched the energy of the room. This could have been so much better if the choice of music was right. PLEASE... Do better next year with this and find someone who plays music you can actually get into and dance. Sincerely from the painted Indian. Áho

The food is good too. Try the middle eastern food. It will surprise you. I do wish they had a gluten free menu. My wife only ate the popcorn.

Went last night on a date with my girlfriend everything was good till we tried to order food. We both hit our button, I even hit the one next to mine, and nobody came. My girlfriend's light was turned off after about 10 min, with nobody checking up on us. This was my first time going, and I'm not sure I will go back. The whole concept is to be able to order items while you watched a movie. I would give 1 star but our drinks were great.

Great experience! Food was tasty and delicious drinks! We tried the lobster roll and killa chicken sandwich! Both flavorful and good sized portions.

This was my 2nd time to see a movie here. We had a large group from work on discount Tuesday to see Avengers Endgame. After reading all the low reviews, I was unsure what to expect regarding timeliness of receiving food and drinks, especially since most of the showings were sold out. Our large group was attended to promptly and the food was great, as it was my 1st visit! I was very impressed with how wait staff handled serving our full theater. Most patrons ordered food or drinks and as far as I could tell, there weren't any problems. I will definitely be back! My coworkers and I had a great time and we intend to have more movie get togethers in the future. Great job M&D!!!

Great date night. We really enjoyed having dinner+beers during the film. Couple of things I wish I knew ahead of time. 1) The actual movie starts at show time. 2) You can’t order ahead and have it delivered to your chair (total bummer). 3) Expect 2-3 interruptions during the film because of food orders/deliveries. The staff does a decent job of balancing service with staying low-key. 4) Menu isn’t available online, so I attached current pics. Wish it had more details so we weren’t playing 20 questions in the theater. We can vouch for the pork & brisket sliders plus onion rings. Neither of us could finish & we were still stuffed when we got home.

Had a great time with friends. Loved the table-side service in the theater. The space between you and the person in front of you is very generous.

Northern Quest Resort & Casino

Resort hotel
Casinos & Gambling
Contemporary casino hotel with nightlife, plus an indoor pool, a fitness center & a spa.
Monday night and this place was hopping crazy wild & crowded. The slots were all paying, lots of action here. Best place to gamble on this side of the mountains. The rooms in the hotel are beautiful and updated. Casino personnel are polite and have a great attitude. There is something to eat for anyone here, restaurants are all over the edge of the casino floor area. Drinks are reasonably priced. I will definitely come back.

Room was decent and clean. Beds were comfy. The whole casino, resort was confusing. The elevator to go up to our room was quite a distance from check in. We first went to the nearest elevator but only got to the 3rd floor because it was only for employees. So we went to the stairs to go back down because you need your key card & ours didn't work in that elevator, so we ended up on the backside of the resort, & we had to walk all the way around to the front entrance to figure out how to get to our room. When I booked, they did not inform me that the sports bar was closed for renovations. Truly disappointed. Service was good during the day on the casino floor, but not good at night. Sometimes we had to walk through much of the casino to get a drink at the bar. Seemed very inconvenient. Not sure I would revisit.

Nice hotel, great amenities. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was large with amazing shower. TV service very spotty and kept freezing. Restaurants and cafes great. Not crazy about the smoking allowed inside the casino that you have to walk through to get anywhere. Especially when you have kids with you. But overall a good experience.

Great concerts! Awesome venue to see bands! Comfy and clean rooms! Cool Kids Quest! Don't really like the smokey casino:( Masselow's is awesome, so is the cigar bar. I wish they had more options for food late at night:(

What a perfect, outdoor concert venue! We stayed at the resort, had an absolutely amazing dinner at the steak restaurant, attended the concert in this relatively intimate setting, played a bit at the casino and headed to bed. In the morning, we hit up the coffee shop using points from our gambling to pay for our beverages. So easy to navigate! We cannot wait to do a repeat!!

The Casino is Bigger than it looks from outside, plenty of different types of slots and table games.. only 1 thing missing.. waitresses, have to walk to a central type bar set up for refreshments was a little inconvenient not sure if they have walk around hostess service I don't recall seeing any (I may be wrong)1st time going there dropped a couple hundred hit a couple bonuses and nice line hits left a winner not massive but got my funds back and some of theirs. Worth the short drive.. compared to a local So. Cal Casino and Resort.. I have been going to for years that starts with a Y and ends with an A that 8 out of 10 times I go I loose my shirt. Was a welcome change to win for a change and not get hosed with $1.80-$3.70 free spin bonuses wins after sinking $40 -$60 in it and not even hit a combination with 15-20 freespins at least 4 or 5 times in a row is ridiculous.. so to go there for the 1st time and have fun win a few hundred and not walk out feeling disgusted is a good feeling definitely going back.

Thank you for the delicious local Spokane cider, and the beautiful history about the Kalispel Tribe of Indians. This gen x was thrilled to play Ms. Pac-Man, and other games in the arcade. Most importantly, thank you for your kindness and generosity by allowing me to park overnight on your land, after consuming alcohol.

Probably one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in. They have wonderful amenities, large sites that are easy to get into, and the place is kept in incredible shape. Bathrooms were super clean and air conditioned, which was a nice bonus. We will definitely visit again because being close to the casino was nice. They have incredible restaurants.
