The REACH Museum, also known as the Hanford Reach Interpretive Center, is a fascinating educational institution located in the Richland Public Facilities District. It offers an immersive experience focused on regional history, geology, science, and technology. The museum's 14,000 square-foot space features two main exhibition galleries that showcase the impact of Ice Age Floods and basalt lava flows on the area's geological landscape.
Kool place. Ice age displays are well organized with lots of examples. Who would think camels roamed here in Washington. Entrance fee includes on site parking. Worth the visit.
Robin S — Google review
I had no idea what to expect when encouraged to visit the REACH Museum. What a delightful blend of geological and geographic information of the Tri-Cities area but also a comprehensive exploration of Hanford and its role in the Manhattan Project. If you aim to visit plan for lots of time if you want to be thorough. There is loads of reading and not too much in the way of interactive experiences. Small children would unlikely be engaged but there are some stories that just need to be told and such is the case here.
Sherrie N — Google review
Amazing Natural History and WWII and Cold War history museum. Lots of hands-on exhibits for kids or kids at heart, in the Natural History part. I enjoyed the history in the WWII and Cold War side, the housing built for Hanford employees, facts on the building, and the secrecy!
Sean F — Google review
Amazing experience. If you live in Tri-City or visiting, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this museum, I recommend it . 💯
Noah M — Google review
My family rented their back patio as a venue space for an event and it could not have been more perfect. The view of the river is fantastic, the space was shaded, and the museum had all the amenities we needed. But what really stuck out was Katie. From the moment I called her to inquire about the venue up until the moment we departed from the venue she was so incredibly helpful, polite, and professional. I cannot say enough great things about the customer experience I had interacting with her
Aaron S — Google review
Visited here with kids between the ages of 8 and 16 passing through on our way to Spokane. It's a nice smallish museum with a lot of local history. There were 2 galleries, one focused on prehistoric fossils and natural history and the other about the history of a local plutonium plant. There was not a lot of hands on things to keep the kids interest so they were finished within about half an hour maybe less. I think adults without kids could spend much longer if you like reading and observing. But with the kids not having more to do, we were out of there within about 40 minutes.
Becky W — Google review
Our company recently had the pleasure of hosting a 2-day event at The REACH Museum. Katie, and the rest of the Staff, were not only kind, but attentive and accommodating to our large group. They assisted in getting our room set to our needs, and even allowed us to set-up on a day that the museum was typically closed to the public. Our guests enjoyed walking around the museum during our meeting breaks and that added something "extra" for our event. We would highly recommend visiting, or hosting your event, at The REACH Museum. We look forward to the opportunity to work with this group again.

Very interesting, especially if one is not aware of the role the surrounding area played in developing the atomic bomb. However, exhibits could have been presented in a more compelling manner.

Palouse Falls State Park

Park
Nature & Parks
State Parks
Basalt canyons & a 198-ft. thundering waterfall with an ADA-accessible overlook, plus a campground.
Palouse Falls is where the Earth remembers violence—and turns it into beauty. You walk up to the edge of the canyon, and it’s like staring into an ancient wound that never closed. Jagged basalt cliffs split the sky, and then—boom—there it is: A waterfall flung from a prehistoric flood, roaring down into a bowl carved by the Ice Age like some god took a chisel to the land and said, “Remember this.” It’s loud. It’s wild. It’s real. You don’t go to Palouse Falls for comfort—you go to feel small in the right way. The views are cinematic, the trails are short but striking, and golden hour turns the cliffs to fire. Great for photos, better for perspective. A few things to note: the paths can be raw and exposed—respect the edge. And while the park’s facilities are basic, the majesty isn’t. Come prepared. Leave a little more awake than you arrived. If you like your beauty untamed and your soul rattled by geography—this is your place.
Richard H — Google review
The drive in is on a gravel groomed road of about 2 miles. The park does require the Discover Pass which can be purchased at the park if you do not already have one. Credit card payments only. The parking is limited to about 20 spaces. There is a restroom building and port a potties available. The paved walking path leads to an open picnic area with one covered table but mostly shaded tables to enjoy the warm breeze. The walking paths to the different view points is steep in some spots, walking sticks advised. Don't forget to walk to the right of the restrooms for some more spectacular views of the area.
Cyndi M — Google review
This is a remote treasure in Eastern Washington. I late Sept the Falls didn't have the full flow of water but the rocks and the birds made it special. Seeing a Peregrine Falcon in the wid currents was cool! There are bathrooms, picnic tables and some short hiking trails. Small parking lot and 2 miles of gravel road getting in. Still worth it. Lyons Ferry Park nearby is a good side trip.
Cindy S — Google review
Official Falls of Washington State. Close to Tri-Cities. Decent parking and disability access. The on-site restrooms are the permanent outhouse style but they're well maintained. The views are amazing. Just outside of the parking area, away from the main viewing overlook, there are lots trails. CAUTION: Most of this extended area has little or no barriers, allowing visitors to get right up to the edge. There is a significant risk of the canyon edge giving way, leading to serious danger.
Jeremy M — Google review
Waterfalls, places of fast running water, are very healing on the energetic level. They are also rich in negative ions. It feels so good just being there. One more miracle of Mother Earth. Beautiful place to visit.
Iryna P — Google review
Scenic falls are just a short walk from the parking lot. There are restrooms there as well. You will need a discovery pass or pay there. The last 2 miles of the road into the park are unpaved (gravel) so know that your vehicle will get dusty.
Neil H — Google review
*You have to click on the pics to get full view* This place is a hidden prize. It is out in the middle of nowhere. You drive up and see flat lands, and then you get out and walk to the trail. And there it is, this amazingly beautiful water feature from nature. The waterfall is worth the time to take the trip. There is a trail in front of the falls to see the falls and the water below. Then there are trails off to the side to see from different angles. I did not take the side trail. I saw people going and then showing up at the edges to see the falls and surrounding areas. There are two parking lots that accommodate everyone and then some. There are bathrooms available. I absolutely loved this place. It was very much worth my time. I highly recommend enjoying this bit of amazing scenery.
Tracy L — Google review
Free entry and parking with a WA discover pass. Totally worth a couple hour drive. Not a hike but there is a short walking trail, lots of picnic tables, and of course the beautiful and relaxing Washington state waterfall.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Spokane, Spokane Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its stunning beauty. This iconic landmark is surrounded by a sprawling 100-acre park, making it an ideal spot for both relaxation and exploration. The falls consist of two distinct tiers—the Upper Falls and Lower Falls—each offering unique perspectives of the rushing water as it cascades through the city.
This is a great place for a rest stop when traveling. The Spokane Falls are right next to a city park. It is clean and safe to walk around.

Beautiful riverfront area around falls. Lots of parking options. We road our bikes around all the trails that meandered back and forth across the falls. Very nice area to spend a day. Many food options nearby as well
Jojo W — Google review
The waterfalls and immediate surrounding area are nice and the view is lovely but just tons of druggies everywhere.... It gets really bad about 2 blocks away where every street corner has people drugged up and some walking around on fentinol bent over like zombies... Totally creeped out not safe. We went at about 730-9am...
Shonna H — Google review
This was truly a memorable place to visit! Riverfront park is an amazing place to plan a family outing. The perfect mix of nature and city. There's a variety of dining options in the area. The many easily accessible paths allow visitors different angles of the falls. If you're looking for an up close view, consider taking the Numerica SkyRide! It's a budget friendly purchase and offer military and senior discounts, as well as group discounts. The line wasn't long and they were really efficient getting riders on and off. On the ride, there's audio of history with lots of great information to learn about. The only downside is inconsiderate guests who litter and parking is something that you'll definitely have to plan ahead of time. Overall a great experience! Please remember to keep our beautiful public areas clean and enjoy the beautiful views!
Shay S — Google review
Wonderful falls in the middle of Spokane. Great walk and many locals enjoying this attraction. Paid parking is about all you can find, but fairly reasonable and easy to pay for it in your phone.
Darrin F — Google review
Just beautiful..worth walking around to take in all the different views of the falls
Tara L — Google review
It’s nice with quite a few good spots to view from. I heard it’s more impressive in spring when there’s melt runoff. Spokane downtown seems mostly about eating and drinking so it makes for a pleasant family experience. Oh the over 100 years of hydro power is impressive. It’s free.

Park
Nature & Parks
Riverfront Park, the site of the 1974 World's Fair, is a 100-acre oasis in Spokane that offers a blend of natural beauty and urban attractions. The park features iconic landmarks such as the clock tower, giant wagon, building blocks, and the world fair tent. Families can enjoy picnics by the river and entertainment for kids while taking leisurely walks. A recent addition to the park is the ice ribbon that provides a unique experience around Downtown Spokane.
Iconic, Scenic, and Full of Photo-Worthy Moments – A Must-Visit in Spokane Riverfront Park is a spacious and beautifully designed urban park that offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. From unique playgrounds and sculptures to multiple waterfalls, bridges, and scenic photo backdrops, there’s something to explore around every corner. One of our favorite features was the upper waterfall, which offers a dramatic view, especially from the large bridge that makes for the perfect photo opportunity. There are several bridges throughout the park, each offering different angles and perspectives of the falls and river. While some areas have limited shade, the park is ideal for a leisurely stroll, and the natural beauty combined with art installations makes it a must-see for anyone visiting Spokane. The lower waterfalls are smaller but still charming, and the park’s iconic views help capture the essence of the city. Another perk? The shopping mall right next to the park. On a hot day, it was a great place to cool off with full AC, grab a drink, and enjoy its modern, clean design. We especially appreciated the thoughtful lighting fixtures, photo spots, and how open and stylish it felt—definitely not your typical mall layout. Even better, My Fresh Basket—a health-focused grocery store—is conveniently located nearby. It’s a fantastic option if you want to grab fresh, organic food or snacks without eating out, especially for those on the go or watching their diet. With plenty of street parking and mall parking available, Riverfront Park is incredibly accessible and well worth the visit. Whether you’re there for the waterfalls, the photo ops, or just a peaceful walk, this park truly captures the heart of Spokane.
April L — Google review
Riverfront Park is absolutely beautiful — the waterfalls are stunning, and the gondola ride gives you amazing views of the river and city. It’s a perfect spot for walking, relaxing, and taking pictures. The only downside is that there are too many homeless people around, which can make certain areas feel uncomfortable. Other than that, it’s a must-visit for the scenery and attractions.
Ifrat H — Google review
We hung out at Riverfront Park on a Thursday evening and had an awesome time! Rented some Lime scooters and cruised around as the sun was setting — such a pretty time to be there. The park has great views and a really nice atmosphere. I only had a short time to explore, but it seems like there’s a lot more to do, so I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend stopping by or spending an evening here if you’re in Spokane!
Marshall C — Google review
Riverside Park has been great to visit every time we’ve gone. Even though there are people living on the streets downtown, the city has done a really good job keeping the park itself feeling safe and welcoming for visitors and kids — which is so appreciated these days. The park is always clean, beautifully maintained, and full of fun things to do: walking paths, open green spaces, water views, playgrounds, and plenty of spots to explore. It’s lively without feeling crowded, and we’ve consistently had positive experiences here. A wonderful place to spend an afternoon as a family.
Savanah E — Google review
The park is a lively and picturesque destination, brimming with a variety of activities, captivating artwork, and meticulously maintained gardens and pathways that showcase breathtaking views of the landscapes and waterfalls. Security is readily available for your peace of mind. However, be aware that parking near the park is limited, with fees starting at $5.
Justin B — Google review
This is a great spot to check out in the middle of the city. Nice easy walking. Lots of stuff to see for everyone of all ages. History about the city. Play ground for kids. Water fountain to cool off by. Large out door cable structure, music venue Old vintage bridges over the amazing, multiple level falls on the river. A must see
Andrew M — Google review
Beautiful Park! Thoroughly enjoyed walking through and taking in all the beautiful scenery. Very clean and well maintained. So much to see and do. Fun for kids! Our kids loved the unique playground and red wagon slide. Keep your eye out for yellow bellied marmots on the rocky areas near the river. They are so cute!
Stacie P — Google review
Riverfront Park is very cute! Has decent pathways and views! There's access to the river where a few locals fish. A few grass patches where you can set a blanket down and have a picnic or just chill! A couple of landmarks and where the Garbage Goat is also located!

Manito Park, a 78-acre park opened in 1904, is a stunning outdoor recreation and leisure area in Spokane. The park features various gardens such as rose, lilac, formal, and native plant gardens along with a picturesque pond. With its immaculately tended terrain spanning 90 acres, including an arboretum, conservatory, and botanical gardens named after the Algonquin word "manitou," meaning fundamental life force animating all things.
Have always loved this park. Ample areas to walk throughout. They really did a good job with cleaning up the pond too. You can see the beneficial plants on the bottom. They do wonders to keep the water clear. Great place to take a walk, run, a bike ride, and enjoy the great scenery.
Jakob Z — Google review
“Absolutely Stunning Park – A Must Visit in Spokane!” I can’t say enough good things about Manito Park! The gardens are breathtaking—each one feels like stepping into a different world. The Rose Garden is so vibrant and colorful, the Japanese Garden is incredibly peaceful, and the Duncan Garden looks straight out of Europe with its perfectly designed symmetry. I loved wandering around the walking paths and taking in the beautiful landscaping—everything is so well cared for. The Gaiser Conservatory was also a treat, with unique plants and flowers you don’t see every day. What makes this park extra special is that it’s completely free, making it such a gem for locals and visitors alike. Whether you want to take photos, enjoy a picnic, or just relax and breathe in nature, this is the perfect spot. I’d highly recommend visiting in spring or summer when everything is in full bloom, but honestly, it’s gorgeous year-round. Definitely a 5-star experience! 🌿🌸🌹

Manito Park is pure magic! 😍 Absolutely loved everything — it’s so beautiful, you can’t stop staring at the flowers, trees, and ponds. Total fairytale vibes! The atmosphere is so cozy, like a hug for your soul. The park is perfectly maintained, with spots to chill, snap pics, or just soak in the nature. Amazing for family walks or solo escapes. I’ll be back a million times and recommend it to everyone! Spokane, you nailed it!
The F — Google review
An absolutely gorgeous park, lovely enough for a movie set. There is an annual garden, a perennial garden, a conservatory of inside plants that you can look at early in the day when it's open, an Oriental garden that also has limited hours, and a beautiful pond with a nice walking path around it. There are also sports courts, walking trails, and at least one really nice playground.
Ballaurena13 — Google review
My first visit to Manito Park was in the Fall of 2004 when my husband and I were newlyweds. After many moves to different states and several years later, life brought us back to where our lives began together in Spokane. We love visiting the many gardens as a family with our sons. My husband and I visited the Rose Garden together a couple years ago in October. The rose blooms were plentiful and spectacular in the middle of October! It was such a peaceful experience. We visited Duncan Gardens on my Birthday in July this year and just recently this past weekend we visited the Japanese Gardens. I find so much joy simply being in nature and there is so much beauty to appreciate in Manito Park. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. I always enjoy seeing people enjoying the park and gardens as well. It’s a great place to be and visit anytime of year! Walking down Manito Boulevard and around the park on the pathways during the Fall with the golden leaves everywhere is amazing! I love it so much and the best part is it’s always free to visit!! Manito Park has always been a beautiful blessing full of joyful memories for my family.

Fantastic park - Spokane is truly lucky to have this place. Multiple gardens to walk through and the care and upkeep effort really shows. Duncan gardens is a grand landscape of flowers, with a conservatory attached. Incredible amount of species inside this building. Rose garden was our favorite- incredible how many different roses can be found here. The Japanese garden was beautiful as well. Hard to believe this is all free- I have paid to enter botanical gardens that don’t come close to this. So many enjoyable walking paths, benches and shade can found throughout the park. There was a cafe as well! Parking could be a problem where you want it- but numerous small lots exist around the park.
Paul P — Google review
Stunning! It feels like what I imagine stepping into a European garden would be like. Perfect place for a photo shoot! It's so grand and colorful and made me feel instantly happy and lighter. I wish I'd gotten an overview pic but I mostly took close ups!
Bex G — Google review
Wow! What an awesome park! There are some great playground areas, a small lake and a very beautiful flower garden. There is also a solarium with tropical and dessert plants. There are walking paths and several parking spaces throughout the park to provide ease of use. There are probably several restroom areas but the one we found was attached to the solarium. I would love to revisit in various seasons.

Mt Spokane is a towering mountain peak located in the Inland Northwest, boasting scenic trails and historic ruins that lead to an observation deck with breathtaking views. Regardless of weather conditions, people feel gravitated towards this majestic natural wonder. It provides ample opportunities for biking, hiking, and enjoying the stunning vistas it offers.
Moderate hike up to the top and back down to the parking lot. The Discover pass is required to park at the park. You will take two trails to the top #130 and #140 either trail is clearly marked with blue diamond shaped markers all the way up so it is fairly easy to follow. The All trails app is very handy on all the trails and if you go off the path it will let you know at least on the paid version. I highly recommend this location.

Amazing drive with spectacular views of the mountain ranges! Excellent ski park for all levels from bunny hills to longer ones. The hike in the snow was pretty good. Open access to many walking and hiking trails. The vista house was close at this point of the year so will definitely want to be back for that. Parking wasn’t difficult but imagine it gets crowded during summer.

Coeur d'Alene Casino

Casino
Nightlife
Modern casino resort with a pair of hotels, an 18-hole golf course & a spa, plus slots & bingo.
I was here for a conference. I don’t golf or gamble so location only got a 4 since if you don’t do either your options are more limited but they have a spa, golf simulator and more to keep you busy. Room was nice and clean. No issues. Service and employees were friendly as well. Food at the bar was also really good.

We enjoyed Bingo here! It's a huge bingo room with smoking and non-smoking seating. Non-smokers with breathing challenges may find it difficult as there is no truly "smoke-free" area that we didn't smell cigarettes.
Sarah H — Google review
Weve finally learned our lesson coming here. Most likely won’t ever be back unless we need a quick pit stop in our way out of town somewhere. After years and years of coming and everytime we say never again…and just keep coming…this time we said nope. Never again. There’s sooo much but this time as we checked in we were “greeted” by a man named David. We had to do the greeting and he acted like we were the biggest inconvenience of his life. He wouldn’t even make eye contact. Acted like he had better things to do..and we were the only ones at the desk. No line, noother people lined up. Nothing. We had to pry information out of him and continually just got smirked out for any questions we had. I finally looked at his name tag and asked if he was having a bad day and he abrubptly said “no”. You could actually tell this was his normal everyday smirky jerky personality. So that’s how you start your vacation…with him. He knows it all but doesn’t want to be kind or give you any info and if you ask he looks at you like your stupid. If you ask where a certain thing is he just says, you’ll find it! And points in the direction to go. Wow! And then you go to the players club and there’s two young girls working who obviously hate there job and hate to have to help you. Again. People are an inconvenience to anyone working there. They act like they are doing you the biggest favor by just showing their face at the desk. Have no time for questions or personality or etiquette. Worst customer service everywhere in the hotel. Seems everyone hates their jobs but still get paid for being rude to people so it works for them. Doesn’t work for us. They need more and newer restaurants. It’s always the same ole same ole deli or red tail restaurant. And one other one that doesn’t ever seem to be open when we’re there. In all the years we’ve been there we have literally won a little something one time! We brought our golf clubs just in case in our road trip we found a great golf course. Well don’t try and play here unless you’re one of the richest. It was over $150-180 a person!!!!!! And Their clothing in the pro shop is highly over priced. Who can afford this place??? It’s dirty and needs their ventilation updated. It’s one of the smokiest casinos we’ve been to. I think the highlight of ours gay and trip was a blueberry pancake we had at the restaurant hat was delicious and as big as the whole plate . Other that it was just a reminder to not come back.

The Spa Tower rooms are well appointed, spacious, and appear to be clean. However, the beds in two rooms were very uncomfortable. Our party of 5 checked in Friday, May 9, and out on Sunday, May 11. Neither of the two nights was restful, which is not what you want before playing golf! The food was pretty good, we had dinner at Chinook and our waiter, Felix, was fantastic. The salmon was overcooked, and the prime rib wasn't 'prime'; other than that, everything else was delicious. This was a splurge for us, a day at the spa for my wife and her friend... a round of golf for my son's birthday, joined by my best friend and his son. In the future, we'll most likely just make it a day trip. For us, the hotel isn't a good value.

I really wanted to like this casino. So much, we came back a second day. The bar staff, are amazing. Hats off to them. Day 1: players card sign up. Not welcoming. We had a younger brunette ( hair in bun) who was thorough in the process but not friendly or welcoming. It was uncomfortable. We played for a few hours and ate at Redtail. Food was OK. Seasonal veggies was a plate of carrots with the salmon. Salmon a little over cooked. Played for a few more hours. Broke even Day 2: Thought by now we would have had some promotion as we entered. None. Played a few hours across 20 or so machines, payouts vs bet low and bonuses felt non-existent. Ate at the pizza place. Surprisingly good. Service was OK from a bunch of younger adults. Put 100.00 into a game and machine ate it. Jen walked past, was friendly and said she would get help. After 30m and looking around for help, went to bar and they sent someone. Received wonderful help after waiting so long. Played for a few more hours, horrible payouts and never received 1 promotion , outside 1.27 bonus play. For having a new director of gaming, do better. Not worth a 30m drive, lose money BUT have zero incentives on rewards is the icing on the cake. I'm okay losing money but have better rewards towards bar, Food, etc. Probably won't return. Edited to add, very clean casino. Bathrooms and floor were well kept.

Had a great time at this casino! We joined the players club and got 10$ for free plays, plus you get discounts on fuel and all of the restaurants and hotel in the casino (and there are a TON of restaurants). It was so clean, including the restrooms. Really good experience.
Britt F — Google review
Nice sized casino. The floor is stretched out but electric scooters are offered with a small deposit. The pool is small and indoors. The food court was on the other end of the casino floor from the hotel rooms. Each bed only had three pillows which is kind of weird. Other than that it was great
Carolina C — Google review
Casino smokey rooms were equal to my barracks room in the Army not very good clean but simple. I did however win in the casino not allot but paid for the entire trip. Didn't golf at the casino went to saint maries golf course though imamd it was allot better than it appears fun challenge. Its location is pretty remote. But thats reservations i guess. Overall it was fun. Not rating it bad i do recommend it.

Circling Raven Golf Club

Golf course
Outdoor Activities
Wow! What an amazingly beautiful course! Well worth the $179 green fee this, my 292nd course played, resides in my top 10 in scenic beauty and quality of fairways and greens. It is both challenging and fun to play! Chris in the Pro Shop, and Marshals Kirk and Don were most accommodating, friendly and professional. The Pro Shop is well-stocked and restaurant serves a great Club sandwich. I will definitely be back to play this one!
James P — Google review
I have played Circling Raven before a couple time. But I forgot how great this course really is. The front 9 is good. But the back 9 is magical. As the course wanders through the trees and up and down the rolling hills, it is one of the most beautiful settings of any coarse. It is so remote that you don’t see or hear anyone. It feels as if you are alone in the wilderness. Now the course is in great shape. There were no dead spots or imperfections. The greens ran fast and true. Probably close to 11.5. The bunkers had light fluffy sand. Some of the best I have hit out of. If you are in the area, it is a must play.
Todd S — Google review
My perspective on Circling Raven will probably be a bit different than most posts, as Kim and I were the 'ride alongs' on the boys golf day! We do this regularly on vacations and have seen many beautiful courses, HECK we live on a golf course with views. ALL staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful and displayed a sense of humor which was a much appreciated added bonus. Circling Raven itself was a cut above most courses and absolutely breathtaking, every single hole. The way they have married the course to the natural beauty surrounding and throughout the course is exceptional and you never know what you'll see around the next bend or over the next hill. The added beauty of aged wooden bridges, old train tracks, tunnels, blooming crop fields, native wildlife (and on OUR day, those huge fluffy clouds) make this a course we'll be more than happy to crash on any future trips as well. Oh... and least I forget, the boys said the course was in top condition, challenging and made for some hilariously colorful self commentary along the way. Wonderful memories all around.
Amy A — Google review
Excellent layout, fast undulating greens. If you want to eat b4 ur round, show up early. They are in no hurry to get food out at the course restaurant.
Michael T — Google review
Just an awesome experience. Every golf fan needs to experience Circling Raven at least once. Of course, be warned that once you play, you'll be planning your next outing or at least thinking about it. Played here June 5 and conditions were spectacular. Greens are lightning fast. The pin setter needs to be reminded that most of us are tourists and not professionals. I'm guessing that over half the pins were on the edge of the greens with very little room for error. It's probably going to add a few extra strokes to your game, but still, we walked away with a sense of euphoria.
Ron P — Google review
We were there to watch our daughter play in the high school state tournament. The course was beautiful! The variety on the holes was impressive. The course is long, would highly suggest a cart. The carts have nice features like a small cooler, club and ball wash station, and GPS screens you can order from. I really appreciated the course hosting the tournament. It was an incredible opportunity for our daughter. We will definitely plan to go back and play as a family!
Alecia J — Google review
The scope a size of this course is enormous. I love that the course is in front of you. No blind/trick shot necessary. Generous fairways for a short hitter like me. Played from white tees it was less intimidating for a first time player. Good distances between holes. Very fair price.
TC F — Google review
Wow! All I can say is wow! This course was amazing! The groundskeepers did an OUTSTANDING job! The clubhouse was amazing and Jordan at the front desk of the clubhouse was very helpful! Can’t wait to come back! Seriously haven’t golfed in over 10 years and I had such and amazing time! The carts were pretty awesome, the service ON the course was epic and it was just an all out Amazing opportunity, Connie Jacobs, thank you so much for helping us experience this wonderful time!

The stunning Lake Coeur d'Alene presents ample opportunities for recreational activities. With its picturesque surroundings, visitors can indulge in a range of water sports, take seaplane rides or bike on multi-use trails that run along the lake. The downtown area of Coeur d'Alene has plenty of Huckleberry products and excellent dining options to explore.
We spent the 4th of July here and it was beautiful, peaceful, and so relaxing. The fireworks put on by the town over the lake were phenomenal. There is a doggie swim beach for your fur babies to enjoy! The tall pine trees that line the lake are so pretty. The kids had a blast tubing and fishing.

Absolutely beautiful. Lots to do and see around the lake.

Our absolute favorite place to getaway to! So many water activities that are offered (you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, peddal boats, and more!) And downtown area is walking distance, always something fun going on!

Lake Coeur d'Alene was beautiful and huge there are small towns around the lake many with docking... restaurants and bars. We rented a pontoon for a fair price...it was the best way to see all areas and a few towns. We spent the whole day on the lake it was a great time!

Beautiful Lake! Amazing place to vacation. The lake and watersports, seaplane rides, and biking/multi-use trails around the lake. Coeur d'Alene is a great little downtown to walk, with Huckleberry everything, good restaurants. Take a short boat ride from Coeur d'Alene resort to the golf course and have an amazing breakfast on the patio overlooking the floating green

Great trails! Challenging but not too difficult and there's plenty of opportunities to explore little trails off the main one. Will be back to explore again!

Tubbs Hill is worth driving over from Spokane for a hike. Depending on which trail you take, there are different levels of terrain difficulty. It is a long trek around without a bathroom. Go before you start your hike.
Jessica M — Google review
Awesome place to start the hike on the east side. Parking in a lot and on the street. Can hike to the quiet beach or complete the loop around Tubbs Hill.
Norrad — Google review
Nice little hiking area. We covered most of the trails in an hour. They seem newly built and could probably use a few more switchbacks on the summit trails but it's definitely not a touch hike overall. The main loop is very easy. We parked in the east lot and had not trouble finding parking at 11am on Friday. Weekends are probably pretty busy though.
Jason W — Google review
Nice neighborhood family-friendly trail park. Great for hiking or running. The trails are well marked. Elevation gain to the summit is manageable and doable for really almost everyone! Some bird watching and lots of deer roaming in the park.
Winston D — Google review
Great place to go with kids dogs and kayaks!

Nice little trail with views of the lake and some swim spots. Busy. Dog friendly. Parked on the opposite side of town so I didn't have to pay.
Patrick D — Google review
It was amazing, but I'm very tired. A few trails for everyone 😁, we chose the loop trail, the whole trail was up or down, but the views were fantastic. We took many photos, nature is beautiful. There were many small and large rocks, bridges, the trail led among conifers but sometimes you walked in the sun without a bit of shade 😁. It was worth it although I had the moment that I could not cope, I would not come 😳. I came, I overcome fatigue 😀

Seven Stars Alpaca Ranch

Mentioned on

Ranch

This is the only alpaca farm I have ever been to so I don't have anything to compare it to but in my opinion this is an amazing ranch. It's been 7-8 years since I went so I can't remember all the details but I do remember how much fun it was. I think we toured some cabins for rent on the property and maybe some sort of store. She took us on her Gator type vehicle through the woods and over a little stream. We got to feed the animals, and she let the kids herd the animals from one pin to the other. It was fun for the kids and adults. 10/10 recommend
L J — Google review
A beautiful little farm on the outskirts of town. Run by the most amicable owner and maintained to perfection. Plenty to see. The animals are adorable and friendly. My 3 year old, the grandparents and I all had an amazing visit here. Highly recommend! Wish we had brought a little picnic to sit and enjoy the view from the ridgeline. Check to see if this is allowed with day visits!
Susie B — Google review
We had an amazing time at the ranch the owners and the son (Clint) were so kind and made my daughter’s birthday special. This ranch is so beautiful and the animals are soooo happy and healthy.
Kayla D — Google review
It was a cold, cloudy & slightly rainy day when we made the trip up to this ranch. Little did we know we were about to meet the most amazing people we have ever met. There is love & respect everywhere you turn. The ranch, land, and the animals are impeccably cared for by Sonia and Andy. While there were so many beautiful things to see, Sonia stopped us at one point so we could listen to the wind blowing through the mountain grasslands-it was awesome. If you are anywhere near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, you must make the trip here. It's inspiring.

We visited 7 Stars on July 24 with grandkids aged 5 and 7. It was such a great positive experience for them as well as my daughter and me. Clint was a guide and engaged the kids whenever he could. The time in the pastures with the alpaca, goats, donkeys and little ponies was great. Animals are gentle and easy to be with. Totally recommend this experience.

MUST VISIT Unbelievably nice and amazing family own this BEAUTIFUL ranch. One of our best experiences ever as you will walk and interact with amazing animals on your own. Silverwood Theme Park

Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Water Parks
Largest Northwest theme park offers 65+ rides, a water park, casual dining & an on-site RV park.
Exceeded all my expectations. I will break down my experience into categories: **Staff:** The staff was absolutely amazing. They seemed very happy to work there and were incredibly helpful. **Water Park:** The water park featured some fantastic rides. The changing rooms were very clean, and there were plenty of food and drink options, along with ample seating for everyone. I do recommend bringing your own towels, as they do not rent them out, but they are available for purchase. **Roller Coasters:** The park has a variety of coasters, with "Tremors" and the newer "Stunt Pilot" being particularly smooth and exciting. I’ve visited many parks across the country, and these attractions can compete with the top national brands. **Food:** The food was above average for a carnival/theme park setting. While the buffet was somewhat lackluster, it is a good deal if you plan to go back multiple times throughout the day. **Overall Pricing:** Everything, from parking to food, admission, merchandise, and souvenirs, was fairly priced. Since this park isn’t part of a nationwide corporation, you won’t encounter the corporate markup typically found at large parks like Disney or Six Flags. In summary, this was an excellent experience. We visited on July 4 and 5, and even though the crowds were a bit larger on the second day, everything remained manageable. The park was absolutely beautiful, with every detail—from landscaping to music and cleanliness—being spot on. I would definitely recommend this park to any family, and the 6.5-hour drive we made to get there was worth it.
Corey R — Google review
Was great! Spent 2 days in the parks at end of June, not too busy at all. Clean, so many rides and everyone was friendly. The preloaded wristband was good for the teen to get eats as he needed, no need to carry cash with.
Barry H — Google review
Great experience at Silverwood this weekend! Visited from Montana and this amusement part was easily found with navigation. The line in moved quick. $10 parking, longer parking lanes to walk. Checked in at a bag/purse check area. Walked a running under to main road to get to the park. Entering the ticketing area was quick, buy your tickets online (you can even load cash to a wristband). Oh, don’t forget to bring a credit card or debt card with you “verify your online purchase”… The park map was helpful and easy to read. Overall, the park felt safe. Which is important! Plenty of staff and easy to get around. Great kids space with quiet areas for little ones. Consider bringing a change of clothes (socks) just in case you get wet in the raft/log rides. There were some demo coaster chairs at some entrances for trial, because not all body types work with all rides. That was considerate! The lines in general weren’t miserable but be prepared with sunscreen and to practice some patience. Have fun, hope our little review helps!
Nateal T — Google review
September was definitely a perfect time to go to Silverwood. Parking was easy. Short walk through the tunnel to the parks entrance. Tickets cost less when fall starts. Pizza was great while we got to watch the magic show. Lines were practically nonexistent. Got to go on all the rides and some multiple times because the lines were so short. Spent the whole day there from open to close and had a great time. Definitely going back next year.
Bret G — Google review
I visited Silverwood Theme Park for the first time to experience Scarywood—and it was totally awesome. Riding roller coasters in the back, in the dark, was a completely different experience. As a thriller author, I naturally look for thrills. I’m not a full-on adrenaline junkie, but the characters I write definitely live for the rush. We spent more time riding coasters than exploring the haunted houses. People later said the haunted houses were amazing, but the lines were over an hour long. I wasn’t up for that kind of wait. It was also freezing. Even though I’d bundled up, I wish I’d worn fleece pants. Not a ding on the park—just a heads-up. If you go at night in northern Idaho, be prepared for cold. Food options were solid. Parking was a bit of a bottleneck. There were still open spots, but traffic getting in was hectic. Once inside, ride lines averaged about thirty minutes, which felt reasonable. Stunt Pilot was epic. I’d ride it again in a heartbeat. Looking forward to my next visit.
Aaron A — Google review
The pass gets you unlimited rides, access to both the water park and the theme park. On the weekday the lines were reasonable. The weekend and warmer weather brought longer lines. Everything is well maintained and in food operating order. The water slide that takes you uphill is a blast. Definitely recommend during the week for shorter lines. Really fun rollercoasters and train rides.
Justin B — Google review
Everything was beautiful, pleasant and clean, including the parking lot and rest rooms! The staff were polite and respectful. Come on a weekday, not weekend. Our huge family had a wonderful time. If you attend with 15 or more guests, you qualify for a group rate, which needs to be booked ahead of time, & is so worth it! I only have one small complaint: the music was too loud. My family had to shout over each other to have a conversation. Kudos to their lifeguards, I can tell they're highly trained and take their jobs seriously. (I'm a certified lifeguard) Thank you Silverwood, we can't wait to come again next summer.
Amanda J — Google review
Just so so good. What an awesome time had by everyone in our group. We went with a big (200+) group. We got unlimited beverages and an included supper at the ChuckWagon. From the staff to the grounds to the rides, everything was super impressive and well thought out. Loved the coasters- so well designed.

Farragut State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Lakefront state park boasts hiking/skiing trails, water sports, disc golf, picnic areas & campsites.
Farragut State Park is a hidden gem! We went for a light hike through some peaceful, scenic trails that were easy to enjoy without being too strenuous. Afterward, we headed into nearby Bayview and grabbed some delicious pizza—perfect post-hike fuel. The highlight of the day was the boat ride on the lake. The weather was perfect, and the views were absolutely stunning. We spent a couple of hours soaking up the sun and admiring the natural beauty. The best part? We actually got to watch an eagle hunting—such an unforgettable moment. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a mix of outdoor adventure and relaxing nature vibes. Can't wait to come back!

Great State Park with several campgrounds within. Each has clean bathrooms and hot showers. More than 40+ miles of trails for fun hiking and mountain biking. The lake is beautiful for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and boating. Love it.
Tami W — Google review
We visited the state park on a Thursday. We arrive around noon so we couldn’t check-in to our campsite. We decided to drive around and see what it had to offer. We were completely surprised at how big the park is. Once 2 o’clock came we headed back to the visitor center and checked in. Our campsite was spacious. Dry camping only, in our loop. There was a bathhouse and toilets centrally located.

Beautiful campground, friendly staff, close to town. Make sure your pets don't get off leash though, as you will get scolded, not very nicely by camp host. All in all, a very family friendly place and beautiful scenery.

This state park is absolutely gorgeous! The lake is stunning, and the swimming was awesome—such a perfect spot to cool off and enjoy the outdoors. The campgrounds are spacious, clean, and really well-maintained, which made the whole experience even better. Everything about the park feels cared for and inviting. I would highly recommend visiting, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

HUGE state park. There are a lot of great features! Favorites were: Beaver bay day use area - good swimming bay. You can't paddleboard in the bay itself, but you can launch and explore from there. Food is available for purchase at Wet Willie's, and there are rentals also. We packed in our own boards. Super busy, the parking lot was packed but it was still beautiful! Disc Golf - there are 5 courses to explore! Brig Museum - we spent so much time there and enjoyed it! We loved it and want to come back someday! It's worth noting that you can't hang hammocks from the trees while you're camping, which is a little sad. But the trees are probably better off, I suppose.

Easy access yet spectacularly remote. Great place to go and get lost for a few days. I came in from Couer D'alene. At first the river is wide and slow as it flows through some sparsely populated neighborhoods settled on the river. Higher up the river starts to tumble and narrow with nice plunge pools below the riffles. Past the town of Avery is my favorite area. But it can be a challenge if you're fishing. There are plenty of turnouts but getting down to the river and making your way along it takes some dedication but it's worth it. When you're ready to leave (or when you have to..) you can just follow the same road all the way back to I-90. It turns into a dirt road for a bit but it's in good shape. It will take you through the "Gold Pass" along the way. It's a nice drive by itself.

The St. Joe River is stunning. I have yet to fish it yet but I plan to this summer. Either way even if the fishing is no good the drive to see it is worth it. The surrounding area is beautiful as well, I visited in St. Marie's, Id.

The staff, including Chris and Ethan, are highly praised for making guests feel comfortable, safe, and entertained throughout the tour. The photographer captures great moments, and the Big Daddy zip line is recommended for an extra thrill. Visitors also appreciate the free water bottle and the option to purchase memorable souvenirs like shirts and stickers. Overall, it's described as a wonderful family-run business that provides a great experience for all ages.
The staff were awesome. 1st time in Idaho and they made my wife and I time very enjoyable. We were the only ones scheduled for the morning and they treated us like we were friends and gave us clear instructions. They were very thorough and even though they do this everyday they still went step by step on the safety procedures which made us feel very safe. Highly recommend only problem I have is that they’re cowboy fans other than that they’re great people and it was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone near the area wanting to do this.

They were wonderful! The only thing that was disappointing, is that we thought there would be more than one zip line. The guides were pretty great. They made us feel safe and paid attention to detail. It was a very fun experience, even if only one line!

We had a great experience with Zip Wallace. Scott the owner was so friendly and his team is amazing. Ethan was so thorough in making sure we were safe (which i truly appreciate) Drew was hilarious. We had a great group that added to the fun. I would highly recommend this zipline, especially for a beginner. Just a note, it is 1 zipline (can ride side by side) and you can go as many times as time allows. I would highly recommend.

Four of us booked a time for Zip Wallace. From completing the waiver forms to the end Scott & Ethan were the most helpful, hospitable, and entertaining people to manage this ‘first’ experience for us. None of us had zip lined before. Scott & Ethan were very safety conscious about our harnesses, hooking our safety lines , and resetting the brake catch mechanism. A first for us and we are going to plan another visit!

They communicated everything clearly and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident. Their great humor and easygoing conversation kept us laughing and relaxed the entire time. Sierra Silver Mine Tour, Inc. offers a guided exploration of an underground silver mine that is both informative and interesting for all ages. Tickets are purchased at the station where visitors can also mine for minerals and enjoy ice cream before taking a trolley tour of the town to reach the mine entrance. The guide provides extensive knowledge about the mining process and allows visitors to operate some equipment while exploring the flat interior of the cave.
Very interesting and educational! If you have sensitive ears bring earplugs, they demonstrate some of the machinery. It is pretty cold in the mines so bring a light jacket! The trolley ride up to the mines is fun but please be courteous to the other passengers and talk quietly amongst yourselves as the guide is narrating about the history of the town as you ride through.

Our miner and tour guide in the mine named Marty was awesome!! He was informative and very funny! You can really tell he loves what he has done his whole life and wants to share his knowledge so people can understand how important mining has been and continues to be. It's extremely hard work and I have a new respect for the profession. The trolley ride and history tour of the area was equally fun and informative. Overall great experience and highly recommend. The kids really enjoyed it too! You are even given a little souvenir when you leave.

The Sierra Silver Mine Tour was amazing!! We got to drive around the beautiful town of Wallace on a trolley and learn more about its history and see it's beautiful sights. The tour of the mine was incredible!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about mining and its equipment. It was really cool! I highly recommend it!!!

Wonderful experience. Educational and moving. Lee, our tour guide, was excellent. He took everyone’s photos with their cameras at the start of the tour without being asked to do so. Small, thoughtful details made it a wonderful experience in addition to his knowledge and genuine interest in teaching.
Deborah C — Google review
The tour guide actually worked in the mines. He was speaking from experience and not just spouting out info he knows. He was passionate and made the tour very real and taught us so much. He put the antique equipment to use, it was SO COOL!!! Would highly recommend.
Josh C — Google review
The tour starts in the town of Wallace, which is already a really nice place to visit, and then takes you to one of the silver mines that's close to the town. I would HIGHLY recommend taking this tour if you are into history and also want to see some really cool scenery (both from the vehicle tour around the town and also inside the mine). Marty was an excellent tour guide as well.

Fast Freddy is the best tour guide of all time! This tour was a highlight of our family reunion and I'm so glad we decided to stop! We had 12 kids in all and all of them said it was the best thing they did during our vacation! A must see! You will not regret it!

Never expected a mine tour to be so interesting! Our tour guide was amazing, a man with much history and experience. The gal that drove us to/from was also equally amazing. I highly recommend this tour and supporting Wallace, Idaho.

50,000 Silver Dollar Inn

Motel
Nightlife
Family-run motel offering a casino, casual dining & a rustic bar with an expansive coin collection.
Our room was spacious for the two of us. The bed was comfortable and the rooms had cute paintings above the beds. Showers are good and they have nice products for the shower. They have a large TV with couches in the lounge area with coffee, staff was friendly and loved to joke around. If you have a chance to, make this your stop for your travels to recharge.

This is a great stop over spot. Camping Is free and has water and power at about 12 of the sites. The restaurant is good and the store is amazing. My wife loved browsing and shopping. Not much of a casino, a few slot machines.
Brian F — Google review
Truck driver here, always a great experience when here after running out of time, food is awesome! The Hispanic cook can really cook! Last stop there, he made the hottest, spiciest buffalo sassy cowgirl hamburger I've eaten there so far. Brother had me sweating eating that burger! And I love spicy food. Waitress always friendly and caring about the food and on top of the drinks. Hard to find valued employees like them that love thier work and customers..... keep up the great service and should get a raise to keep them there.

Super cool place to visit! Great souvenirs, great prices! We purchased a bottle of Huckleberry whiskey! Helpful and friendly staff! We went on our way to Yellowstone and then on our way home! Easy to get to from the highway ! Can't wait to visit again!
Juli R — Google review
Considering all the semis, I expected it to be noisy - was not, very quiet inside the room. The price was very good for the room, which was clean and well stocked with towels! They even offer a little voucher for breakfast from the yummy dinner. The gift shop has just about everything you could even think of wanting from a gift shop and then more. Really fun to wonder around. Now, I can't say anything about views since I pulled in right at dusk, not a lot of details visible

Was a overnight stop with our RV. Free RV parking with some spots even have free electricity. Food in restaurant was good and Morgan provided outstanding service. We were very pleased with this stop over. Highly recommend for RVers
Louis S — Google review
We stayed in the back with the free RV parking in electricity I had biscuits and gravy at the restaurant a couple of times was delicious took little rides to streams with our dog they have a water pump there so if you have containers you can fill up. A few slot machines pretty cool little spot out the middle of nowhere

We only stopped at the gift shop, which was way cool. They had a lot of funny and interesting finds. This is not "just a plain old souvenir shop". They have swords, axes, armor, cool music boxes, and yummy local snacks, as well as the usual coffee mugs and apparel. We're going to stay at the inn in our next trip.

We drove through St. Regis last month and knew that we had to come back to the St. Regis Travel Center so that we could spend more time in the gift shop, which we did just a couple of days ago. The gift shop is amazing--there are so many beautiful gift items to choose from, and the merchandise is ever-changing. They have beautiful paintings and other wall decor (wood carvings, metalwork, etc.) as well as clothing items and so much more. There is a huge selection of huckleberry items, from handsoap to milkshakes. (The huckleberry milkshakes are delicious!!) They also have a huge aquarium filled with trout that kids and adults will enjoy watching. So much to see and do! I am so glad we made the trip back here.
Linda S — Google review
We've stopped here multiple times through the years. The trout aquarium is always a favorite. The gift shop has mugs, hats, jewelry, clothing items, toys, lotions, etc. There is quite a selection of products featuring huckleberries and cherries. They also have quite a few flavors of fudge. There is ice cream, and drinks both hot and cold. This time, we got a chocolate latte, which was delicious, as well as their famous huckleberry shake. I thought it tasted good. Definitely sweet! It reminded me of a huckleberry ice cream dessert I had several years ago. The prices are definitely "gift shop prices." :) The restrooms were clean. It was pretty busy when we were there, but it's a popular stop so I wasn't surprised about that. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Pearl S — Google review
Posted on Yelp Fun little place if you are traveling by this town! Gift shop has tons of local and genetic items. Trout aquarium in the middle of the shop. Always fun to see something relaxing in a fast paced environment. MUST try the huckleberry shakes in the coffee shop. Or ice cream. Delicious treats on a hot day. Check out the casino and restaurant next door!

Amazing Huckleberry shake!! When the sign says Best Ever, it's spot on!!! Even at 7:30am. Amazing gift shop, so much to explore. So many amazing items. Bathrooms are absolutely some of the cleanest I have seen on my 2300 mile trip.

This travel center is considered the best rest area in Montana, providing convenience and interest for travelers. The prices of the products sold here are cheaper compared to other places, and the quality is excellent. A photo taken with the hat and shirt purchased here!

An absolute must stop if you are traveling through the area. Huge gift shop and excellent food choices! Has a pretty neat trout aquarium with various trout.

LOVE this store! I could honestly spend hours, and thousands here if I had my way. We stop every time we pass through (a couple times a year) and I always have to get some kind of trinket, jewelry, or artwork to take home with me. DON'T PASS this up!!😁 And yes, they are the best huckleberry shakes ever 👍

River Rafting & Tubing
My first time rafting was with Pangaea and I struggle to think that any other experience could top the one I had. At the start of the day, when we arrived at Pangaea, we were greeted by Owen who knew and remembered our names immediately. We got geared up and went over safety details which were clear and even fun to follow along with. Once we got to the river we were paired up with our awesome guide Tristan and the best fellow boaters. The whole journey was a blast and Tristan enhanced our time on the river by making sure we struck the perfect balance between fun and safety. Conversation flowed as we meandered down the river and new friendships truly formed. After lunch, we got to break out the wine and charcuterie and really take in the scenery of the Clark Fork — the perfect ending to our float. We really didn’t want the day to end and enjoyed the ability to continue hanging out with everyone back at Pangaea. Thank you so much David and the Pangaea team for making the day so great!
Caroline L — Google review
We had Parker as a guide on our raft, we were with 2 other rafts. Parker and Tristan (a guide from one of the other rafts) made sure that my disabled mom was VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF! They assisted her down the steep boat launch, to the raft and helped her on and off the raft! 1000% recommend these guys! Can't wait for my next trip with them!!

Dave and all the guides here are top notch. The river is always great. Feel safe while still ha ingredients the most fun possible! Lunch is fantastic, they serve you a out 90 before the end of the trip. The weather wasn't great but it was still a great trip. Will definitely be doing again and again. Been returning every few years as the kids grow since 2015 and have never left disappointed. Get outside and leave boring behind.

Hands down the best around! This was an absolute great adventure. David the owner is top notch and has assembled the best guides and assistants in the industry period. Our guide Benji was excellent, great Captain and knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. Paul was an absolute pleasure to interact with and his vast knowledge of the history and geography of this area was impeccable, such a great Captain! Tristan was also such a pleasure to meet. These guys are the absolute best you could ask for on your adventure! The lunch provided was delicious and far superior to the other tours offering soggy sandwiches and chips. Pangaea feeds you properly with hot food prepared by hand that morning, it was delicious and so welcomed over what I saw the competition feeding their groups along the river. This was such an amazing experience.. .. 10/10 Highly recommend

My daughter and I did the wine tasting trip and completely loved it!!! I was nervous as this was my first experience with whitewater rafting. Our guide Tristan made me feel completely at ease and comfortable. Our trip was enhanced by a phenomenal group of boat mates who solidified the experience. The food and wine were delicious. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to have an amazing whitewater rafting experience.

We just got off the river with Benji as our guide. What an amazing experience! We are a "mature" couple. Benji had patience and knowledge to help us have a wonderful river ride. He made sure we were safe and also provided is an adventurous ride. He was very knowledgeable about the rapids as well as the wildlife we saw. We already are planning another trip! Awesome company and Benji was the best guide!

Go rafting with Pangaea River Rafting! The staff we met were knowledgeable and friendly. Our guide fitted us with wet suits and rain jackets since rain was in the forecast. Rafting in the rain is fun and the rapids did not disappoint! We saw bald eagles, kingfishers, bucks and various other birds. The lunch provided was delicious (grilled chicken, salad, potato, bacon, cheese, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes watermelon, trail mix and freshly baked brownies). Thank you Pangaea!

The Symes Hot Springs Hotel & Mineral Baths

Resort hotel
Spas & Wellness
Down-to-earth hotel featuring a spa & hot springs pools, plus a restaurant & an espresso bar.
First time here. I absolutely LOVE this place. It’s funky. It’s old. It’s an historic site. The pools are amazing. The food is fantastic and I’m a food snob from California. The people are ridiculously friendly, the rooms are clean and affordable. If you come here expecting luxury accommodations, you’ve got the wrong place. My room was clean, the bed was super SUPER comfy - I don’t sleep well and I slept like the dead. There was Karaoke happening the night I was there and it was SO FUN. The place is SAFE. I accidentally left me keys (to my room and my truck) in the door all night long. They were still there in the morning and many people were walking up and down the hallway in the hours before I went to sleep. They must have thought I was a bit daft. I can’t say enough about how pleasant my stay here was. The coffee is STRONG. I think the negative reviews come from people who are entitled and snotty. This place is fantastic. I only stayed here because wild horse was full but next time I’ll come here instead. There’s no wifi in the rooms but there is plenty of 5G. The pools are HOT at 103/105/110. They’re sulfury, basic and totally delightful. There’s an 85 degree pool you can just sit in forever.
Lola R — Google review
This place was pretty clean, but the pull-out bed under the couch looked like it hadn’t been used in years. It was really hard to open up to sleep on. It was a great price for a mini cabin, though. Overall, this place was pretty good, but could use some improvements. The hot springs were nice.
C N — Google review
Like others have said this is not a 5 star hotel yet I believe it has the potential if it was given some love. Beds are soft like great grandma's and its very historical. Pool need cleaned but was nice there was three temps. People are very friendly and food was good. No tvs in room so expect a quiet experience which was the best part.
Debi H — Google review
Kind of a funky little place. Takes you back to the 40s or 50s. We like it! There's 4 pools each with a different temperatures, all with a Sulphur smell, but oh so soothing and relaxing.
Charity D — Google review
The room and hotel were not clean. The bed sunk in the middle, not comfortable. There was air con but it was mostly just a fan and created a musty smell. The room itself was odd: toilet & sink behind one door, old tub behind another door & just room for the tub, then a smelly closet with no door, and only one outlet at the bottom of the wall next to the door with only one plug in that worked. Basically, the place seems to lack maintenance and care and probably hasn’t been updated since it was built in 1910 or 1920. The pools need maintenance, too. The water felt great and was typical of mineral springs, but the layout was very public with no aesthetics at all. The shower was rather disgusting, but necessary as after a short time in the lowest temp hot pool (103?), I started to itch. Others stayed in the pools for hours, so that was probably just my skins reaction. All in all, it was an experience. The price was cheap, but then you get what you pay for.
Teri T — Google review
This place is a hidden gem!! It Is definitely run down, but has a lot of potential. I will say when pulling up we were like WTH did I get us into! But we stayed. I heard it was haunted and very rustic and I got just that! So in the end it was exactly what I needed a step back in time. The staff was great Amber helped us check in she was fantastic very understanding and even worked with us.our first room was terrible so she gave me options and even allowed us to look before we choose. When we got into our room there was hair in our bath and sink. They got room service up there right away and got us taken care of. I will say this place could use a deep clean!!! And alot of work however I have to remind myself it’s from the 1930 and I wanted to take that step back in time. Everyone staff wise very friendly , helpful. The soak was amazing. I will say they are very populated which I was hoping for more of a secluded area. Which I found out on our last dip There was one which ran about 110. Dinner was amazing! As well as all the old antiques the had through out the building. They had a coffee shop right inside love that!! It’s pet friendly. I will be staying again probably this winter however I’ll most likely take the room that has a mineral jacuzzi tub and is updated.
Dauvinamanda B — Google review
The hot water is great! Mostly salts in the water. But the grounds and tubs are not maintained very well if at all. Safety railings to enter/exit pools are loose and would probably break if fallen against. Concrete surrounding tubs is falling apart. Tubs are not kept very clean. No shade. Just overall poor conditions of the grounds. I have not stayed in a room but seen some interiors where doors where open. Same thing, poor condition. There are individual soaking "clawfoot" old porcelain tubs indoors in private rooms with just a curtain that are in terrible shape. If you want a hot soak in mainly saline water it is just okay.
Joseph — Google review
The Owner is a sweet Lady and the FEMALE STAFF here are very kind. However the Owners boyfriend has been EXTREMELY RUDE to the guests here including my friends and I! The Male cook in this hotel restaurant was so rude to us and a group of other women who came to get Breakfast at 11:08! We didn’t see the sign Breakfast was done at 11! This is a women’s convention that’s been happening for 20yrs we bring a lot of business to this small town. I won’t stay at this Hotel next year!

Nature & Wildlife Areas
The Bison Range Wildlife Refuge is a vast native prairie land that serves as a sanctuary for various wildlife species in Montana. Visitors can enjoy viewing bison, elk, pronghorn, deer, and mountain sheep up close through the 19-mile long Red Sleep Mountain Drive loop road. A visitor center and several trails are also available for exploration. Non-tribal members are required to pay an admission fee of around $15-20 per car to drive around the area.
My husband and I stopped here on our way home to WA from Whitefish, MT. We loved this experience so much. We didn't think we would see much bison honestly and ended up seeing a ton. And even saw some antelope. Also has great views. Stop here if you are in Western WA , it is well worth $20.
Zoe M — Google review
This was a completely spur of the moment activity for us and it ended up being a highlight of our trip! We wished we had taken the longer route! The animals are so close to your car. We loved it!
Miranda S — Google review
The Bison Range is well worth the drive and the cost. There’s a large parking lot, so if you’re meeting other people there, you can leave one vehicle in the parking lot. The variety of wildlife on the Bison Range is vast. You will see birds of prey, hear song birds, elk, deer, bison, and much more. If you can make the trip in fall, you could hear the elk calls during mating season. The views of the mission mountains in the background are breathtaking, as are the views on the range.
N1 Z — Google review
This was a fantastic time and well worth going to. It is tribe run and they really care about the animals and land. The people working at the visitor center were very enthusiastic and knowledgable. They had a wall map with stickers you could mark where you saw animals along the drive which was really helpful. Someone marked they saw a bear but we did not see one. But we saw lots of bison, elk, pronghorn, a couple big horns, many types of birds, and some pretty plants as well. Please remember to stay in your car or within arms length unless on the trail and don't be stupid around the animals.
Christina E — Google review
The range has about 50-100 bison, when we were there we saw about 7 close up and the rest were gathered back near the center of the range. The tour takes about 2 hours with great views of the mission mountains. Worth a visit if you have the time.
Tony L — Google review
Be prepared to not see Bison! They love to roam and may not be visible during your drive. With that said, we did luck out and saw a couple distant groups. Beyond that, the drive at sunset was gorgeous.
Jeremy Y — Google review
Great place to see wildlife in their natural surroundings. We went on a weekday afternoon and there wasn't many other cars there. We saw bison, elk, deer and possibly a bear (from afar). Would definitely recommend for nature lovers.

Blue Mountain Trailhead is a gem nestled at the southern edge of Missoula, offering an array of outdoor activities for nature enthusiasts. With multiple trails winding through stunning landscapes, it's perfect for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The area is particularly dog-friendly; many visitors enjoy bringing their furry companions along to explore the scenic routes.
Blue Mountain Trailhead is a perfect option for any kind of hike, run, bike, or horseback ride. There's always enough parking and always the right amount of people. It's never overcrowded but enough people are enjoying these trails on a daily basis. It has beautiful scenery and is close by to anywhere in town. My dog and I thoroughly enjoy our time each and every time we go there.

The trails at Blue Mountain Trailhead offer an easy to medium variety. The trails are well groomed and easy to walk on. There are places to sit on the grass or fallen treats to stop and have a picnic lunch.

Hiking Trail Review Blue Mountain Rocky Top Loop - 4.5 Miles Trailhead is easy to find and access. Very large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. The lot was loaded with cars (not hard to find a spot though) although the trail is very desolate. There are many many trails on this loop so you will encounter people but it is still pretty desolate. Very easy to adjust the trail as needed; extend or shorten. Very well marked and easy to navigate. Breathtaking views and decent steady elevation gain. Loved this hike.

I love this spot! There are several different trails to follow and “get lost in Montana “. The views are amazing and the wildlife, busy. Warning though, most everyone allows their dogs off leashes. If you’re allergic or afraid of dogs, this place is probably not for you.

So nice! A good amount of exposed area in the first part of the trail- so would recommend a hat or sunscreen. Gorgeous scenery. Some tougher trails for trail runs - pretty much all uphill then all downhill.

My sister and I visited in October. What a beautiful place! I'm definitely going back when it's in full bloom! The facilities are well kept, and the gift shop wasn't overpriced. It also offered legitimate handmade items as well as mass-produced items (t-shirts, candles, books).

Breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. Though it is wonderful to walk around contemplatively it might be nice to offer an audio tour for the newcomer or a link to be listened to later? Thank you so much for opening this to visitors!

A beautiful Buddhist garden open and welcoming to all. The property is easily walkable offer clearly legible signs with instructions for conduct as well as information on the various statues, monuments, beliefs and culture. It was incredibly serene and a wonderful place to unwind and just be. The location had a gift shop as well as two vault toilets as well as handicapped parking.

In all honesty I was a bit disappointed. The Buddhas were cool to see but it wasn't much of a garden in the sense of foliage, greenery, and zen. In my opinion, of course. It is worth seeing tho.
