Truly one of the more spectacular places I've seen in my life in my travels around the world. I've seen some amazing things and this is one of the few places that gives you the feeling of insignificance in the grand scheme of things like the grand canyon. The views are breathtaking, traffic to get in wasn't bad, but beware that there is very little cell phone signal anywhere out here. Some of the trails are poorly marked and some of them have a lot of steps that are in poor condition from rain and erosion.

I visited Canyonlands National Park and was completely blown away by the massive red rock canyons and endless panoramic views. The overlooks were stunning, especially at sunrise, and the hiking trails gave a real sense of adventure and peace. What I didn’t love was how few shaded areas there were — the heat can get pretty intense, and some trails felt a bit poorly marked. Still, it’s an incredible and unforgettable place that’s absolutely worth the trip if you love wild landscapes and open skies.

Absolutely gorgeous! The views are breathtaking and the natural landscape looks like a dream. Don’t skip out on this park if you are nearby. It was 100% worth the visit. If you can enjoy the night sky and stargaze. We were able to see the Milky Way. It was beautiful!

This is a beautiful park. The canyons are spectacular, and vast, though not as colorful as the Grand Canyon. You can see a lot from your car, but for the full experience hit some of the hiking trails.

Absolutely stunning vistas. Big horn sheep. Off roading and camping in the middle of nowhere and having one of the funnest vacations of my life with 3 of my sons and daughters in law. We did Shafer trail one day, then White Rim trail over 2 days. Cannot wait to go back and do it all again!

This is a large park. I recommend a full day to see it. There is a lot of hiking/walking to the main points. There is also two entrances to the park. The first one is up on the north end by Moab and Dead Horse State Park. This is where the Island in the Sky visitor center is located. Almost every stop after you park there is a short walk to the view. The Mesa Arch is a short hike. On a decent trail. I would plan on taking water and planning on a hour. Even if you are not in great physical shape you can do this. It is well worth it. On the south east side of the park is the other entrance to the needles. You will loose internet access to maps on your way there. I would recommend taking a few photos of maps before going, unless you already have the park map the road is on that to the park.

Incredible with immense grandeur. Between arches and Canyonlands, Canyonlands has much longer trails, more open space, and easier avenues to avoid crowds. If you have time, check out both the main part of the park and the needles district to the south. My highlights were Druid arch and Murphy canyon.

This is one of the best visitor centers I've ever been to. The interactive exhibits, taxidermy, and movie theater are all top notch. The bird call exhibit is a favorite because you can memorize the calls before taking the 3km walk around the refuge. The walk itself is very accessible, paved and mowed so you can comfortably walk without worrying about ticks from the tall grasses. Oh, and the gift shop and indoor toilets are amazing. Board games, high quality toys, and even a bird mural in the ladies '.

This was such a great place to visit! We ran out of time and will definitely be back. The auto tour is open from sunrise to sunset. The visitor center is open from 8-4. In the visitor center, my kids were able to play bingo in the exhibit hall and were rewarded with a butterfly sticker. There was so much fun stuff to view in the exhibit hall. There is a theater that we did not have time to view. We were also able to check out adventure backpacks for the kids that contained different magnification viewers for bugs, 2 different kinds of nets, kids' binoculars, field identification guides, etc. Each child received their own booklet to complete, and after completing a number of activities, they were able to get a junior ranger badge. We spent almost an hour on the trail just watching the bugs and birds and trying to catch bugs to view and then release. They had so much fun! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful free park where you can bird watch. Leaving the highway, it feels crazy to think a whole refuge is right next to it. The visitor center is at the entrance of the park. The recommended path is a ungraveled road of about 1h30 (highly depends on how you want to do it). You drive on the loop and can see plenty of things. Birds are EVERYWHERE. Note: The month of may has a lot of insects (mosquitoes…) so be prepared if you want to get out of the car. Great free activity that entertains everhone.

Visitor center was closed the day we were there due to the federal shutdown, but we enjoyed the auto tour. Probably more migrating birds in Sept. than Oct.

Amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Watch the 20-minute presentation at the learning center, then take the self-driving tour around the sanctuary. Everything will make more sense.

Beautiful property with an array of birds and some mammals. The auto tour loop is cool, but finding the entrance was a little challenging at first. The yellow-headed black birds and white pelicans were my favorite by far. Good location for birding!

The area around the visitor center is great. Trails run through wetlands and there is even a photo blind. But the biggest downside are their trails. They are open sunrise to sunset. So far so good, but you can't use any of the loop trails if the visitor center is closed. You need to track back to the first crossing and go back to the parking lot that way. All the trails run literally through the visitor center but the visitor center currently closes at 4pm and is not even open every day. This could have been handled better, the architect of these trails probably never used a trail in their life.

I have a scholarship and 62$ is randomly charged to my account the day of the tuition deadline. Called into financial aid to figure out why and the amazingly rude lady refused to help me or even give me any information. Now it's past the deadline and I am restricted on course materials and supposedly am gunna get a late fee. Due to her neglecting her job. This is one reason I will be transferring schools.

USU is by far the best college campus to go to in the state of Utah, while attending USU you will find the city feels like a small town campus. USU offers a lot of amazing programs to make friends and there professors are amazing

Displeased USU Visitor My recent experience with USU (assuming you are referring to a university or institution with that acronym) left me feeling incredibly frustrated and dissatisfied. One of the most significant issues that marred my experience was the rampant over-ticketing problem. Over-ticketing at USU has become a serious concern, and it has undoubtedly soured my perception of the institution. It seems as though the primary focus has shifted away from providing a conducive learning environment and towards extracting revenue from its students and visitors through excessive ticketing. The frequency with which I witnessed students and visitors receiving unwarranted tickets was alarming. Whether it was for minor parking infractions, perceived rule violations, or even issues that should have been handled through communication and warnings, it appeared that the institution was more interested in punishing individuals than in fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. Furthermore, the fines associated with these tickets often felt disproportionately high, placing an undue financial burden on students and visitors who are already struggling with the cost of education and daily living expenses. It's disheartening to see an institution prioritize revenue generation over the well-being and financial stability of its constituents. The over-ticketing issue not only creates a hostile atmosphere but also undermines the trust and respect that students and visitors should have for their educational institution. It fosters an environment where individuals are constantly on edge, fearing that even the slightest misstep will result in another unwarranted ticket. In conclusion, my experience with USU has been marred by the issue of over-ticketing, which has led me to question the institution's priorities and commitment to the well-being of its students and visitors. It is my hope that USU will reevaluate its approach to disciplinary measures and consider more reasonable and fair ways to address rule violations without resorting to excessive ticketing.

Love the campus. It’s absolutely beautiful. The people in Logan are so friendly and makes this a wonderful experience.

I love USU! So many amazing professors and people! They really care about students’ success and making sure that they have housing. I couldn’t have found this much happiness and knowledge anywhere else!

It's a stunning spot with fantastic photo opportunities. The only thing I will say is that if you are allergic to bees dont stop here. lol . The amount of wasps,yellow jackets and bumble bees here were astonishing!!

My family had a blast going to this beach. The water color is incredible as it is so blue. We were shocked on how clear the water was and lack of fish and sea weed in the beach area. There are restrooms and showers on the property. Lots of people were renting water equipment, plus bring their own things. We were shocked on how cold the water was for the middle of July. Beautiful place to go!

Love Bear Lake! Water can be cold at times but overall a great place to boat, swim or just sit back and relax. My family camps at rendezvous campsites which most lead right down to the beach. We also enjoy going into town and getting raspberry shakes as it has become somewhat of a tradition. I would recommend Bear Lakes to anyone.

West shore very crowed, but plenty of restaurants and free rest areas for day use. East shore has four campgrounds (one closed at this time) with gorgeous sunsets. Although this side is nicer in my opinion, it is full of disrespectful people (dogs unlashed that poop with no control, groups with loud music).

We camp at Birch Campground right along the beach. It’s the most amazing lake you’ll ever experience! The water is so beautiful and blue! The sunset is incredibly amazing!

This place is obviously beautiful, but the incredibly rude people working at the entrance ruined it for us. We paid $90 for two nights of camping. Understood that we couldn’t have an extra car, but they wouldn’t even let our extra car come in to quickly unload at our campsite. Having a strict rule about something is one thing but 1 they were out of their way rude and 2 their only reasoning is that it was “too busy.” Attached is the completely empty parking lot that they could have parked in for 5 minutes to unload. We also asked them a few other questions and the response were “uhhh I don’t know.”

Very neat museum, with huge retired trains, vintage cars, vintage guns and a small gift shop area. There is a small fee but very well worth the fee. Loved the train models and learned alot from the train video. We spent about an hour here. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

“It’s… fine. If you’re already there.” We wandered into Union Station while exploring downtown, mostly because we have one back home in St. Louis and wanted to see how this one stacked up. Walked up to the ticket counter and asked what it was. The woman said, “Museums.” I said, “Right… but what kind?” Her reply: “Train and cowboy kind.” Okay then. We paid $7 each anyway. The train museum *could* have been cool, if literally anything was turned on. The model train sat dark and silent, the lights were off, and the displays looked like they hadn’t seen power in a while. The car museum was neat, though, and the guy running it clearly loved his job (same for the man at the gun museum). The cowboy section? Let’s just say it was riding off into the sunset—none of the videos or exhibits worked in any of the museums. The outdoor trains were the best part, but overall it felt more like a museum taking a nap. Worth the ticket price, but not worth going out of your way.

What an amazing find. If you like train history or history of this area and this place to your list. Sadly we arrived about 30 minutes before closing bc i just thought it was an old train station but it turned out to be much more. They have every browning gun ever created in their upstairs museum and a history of Ogden museum downstairs. All for free!! I wish i had allocated about two hours to see everything! Didn’t even make it outside to see the trains they have here.

Four museums and two art galleries make this an incredible bargain. The railroad and model railroad museums are excellent. The firearms museum is detailed and informative. Highly recommended.

Must go place, so many trains in different time, from steam age to diesel locomotive, to modern ones, a lot to learn, a lot of fun.

Maybe it was the fact it was a Friday day but this was the saddest museum on earth. Let's start with the lady at the ticket counter. We are from out of town so we asked "what do you have in museum?" Her response was "it's museums" cool cool cool. We got that. Nothing in the train museum was turned on. All the interactive displays didn't do anything. None of the lights were on. I ended up finding light switches. Their "famous model train" wasn't operating No volunteers to be found until the cars. The older gentleman in the car museum is saving this place from one star. He was so enthusiastic and loved what he did. Joe in the Browning museum was also knowledgeable.

They really do a good job of keeping this place in great shape. It is a pleasure to visit here. Only one thing. You can't see the inside of the trains until warm weather, or May, they say, so be advised. You can see a lot of history in three museums, The Railway museum, The Browning Arms Museum, and the Classic Cars. All for 7 dollars while supporting a great effort to preserve these fantastic historical items.

Don’t miss the free summer concerts—incredible live music set against a beautiful mountain backdrop. Bring a blanket, grab a drink, and enjoy the vibe! And if you’re looking for a unique dining experience, take the gondola up and eat at the top of the mountain. The food is amazing, and the views are unforgettable. Whether you’re here for snow, sun, or just the scenery, Snowbasin delivers. Can’t recommend it enough!

We took the gondola up to the Needles Lodge for Sunday brunch. At first glance, it seemed pricey but for what the ticket includes it is worth it. A ride up and down the mountain, the brunch, and access to the concert. Employees are helpful and friendly

I recently shot a wedding at Snowbasin and it was amazing! The views from the top really wowed everyone, especially the out of town guests. The bathrooms are extremely nice and photogenic, haha, but the whole place is just incredible. The staff there is amazing as well! It's a huge space and I love that it has indoor and outdoor options. Everyone had a great time!

What a beautiful Dog friendly resort! We loved taking our dog, Osiris up to listen to the blues, eat great food, have the perfect frozen adult beverage and enjoy gorgeous scenery. They are thoughtful with stainless steel water bins for the dogs placed everywhere. We will definitely be coming back to take Osiris on the Gondola.

Had an amazing time here! Beautiful resort. Except I did have a little trouble with the ski school administrators. I purchased a package for lessons & lift tickets for my kids but they didn’t give them the lift tickets at the school & no one told me I had to pick them up separately . So when they went to ride the chair lift with their instructor, they wouldn’t let them on. I had to run back to where lift tickets are purchased. I just wish someone told me sooner instead of the end of the day. They only got to ride the chair lift once because of the time wasted.

Amazing ski resort. I love how long the runs are and how fast the lifts go as well. You really feel like you can ski so much longer. There’s so much mountain to cover you can happily spend all day exploring and find something for your brand of fun. Certain areas definitely get crowded, especially on weekends, but after the waves of arrivals people tend to spread out and the lines and runs become much less congested.

Snowbasin has so much more to offer than just winter activities! We have fun at there during the summer and early fall too! Hiking, Blues and Brews and Octoberfest! I do recommend that if you don't have a pass, to purchase your tickets ahead of time. It makes the entry process much faster! Everything is definitely a little overpriced. However that goes for pretty much everything these days.

Our kayaking trip was absolutely fantastic. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Nathan and Scott (and Alicia?) were incredible. They made everything feel easy, safe, and fun from the very beginning. The views were amazing, the water was gorgeous, and the entire experience was above par. We laughed a lot, learned a few things, and left already wanting to come back. Highly recommend.

We did the full day float with destination sports with a stop at Taggarts grill for lunch and had the best time! Their guides were awesome, we had such a blast on the river and learning a little more about the area! Definitely would recommend them to anyone!

Great time, fun for the whole family. Good combination of floating while relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings. And a handful of lighter rapids. Very professional group that runs a great time. Our guide Katie was very experienced and told some great stories about the area. We even got to see a bald eagle! Highly recommended them and will use them again!

Our river guide did an exceptional job preparing us for a safe and enjoyable trip. She was a wealth of knowledge about natural and historical aspects of the Weber River and the surrounding environment. The views in the canyon were majestic, and the water was clear and cold, refreshing us on a hot summer day. For anyone who is nervous about river rafting, this company and their guides will set you at ease. They have years of experience on the river. We look forward to a future trip when we return in the future.

This was an excellent family excursion. The scenery was incredible and the kids (4 and 7) had a ton of fun. Katie was a fantastic guide!

Fun family outing, peaceful section of river with enough rapids to make it fun but not scary for + 70 year old parents. Interesting scenery along the way and the guides were so knowledgeable and entertaining!! Thank you Mark and Oz, you guys are terrific.

Went to Utah for the snow. Chose this one since it was the only one on the epic. Expected a bit of snow but from what I heard it was crowded. Over that weekend, I got the most snow in my life. I’m sure if you went into the cottonwood canyons you’d get more snow but Park City wonderful.

Love this place!!! I come here every year to ski and I have to say it is an amazing place. The locals there are just so friendly and willing to help out with anything. I really like the variety of runs that they have on just blacks. The food is expensive but if you have an epic pass you can get a discount on your food. Ski school is great for beginners and kids. Overall it’s a great place and will keep you entertained for your stay.

I recently went skiing here for the first time in April and loved the conditions! I went early April so by lunch it did get choppy on certain slopes but overall they did an amazing job keeping trails covered and groomed. I can’t wait to get back here in the future.

Went in the fall during off peak season. Pretty quiet and not that busy. The alpine slide was a load of fun. The lift ride up was great, especially with the fall colors.

We love park city mountain! The lifts are so much fun during the summer and take you to great places you can explore.

Can’t speak to the ski experience but I love to mountain bike here. Beautiful scenery and copious singletrack for intermediate and advanced riders.

Park city Mountain is a great resort and has beautiful views, but it’s mostly cat track runs with not too much off piste. This place 20 or 30 years ago would’ve been absolutely amazing however they have not invested in any of the infrastructure since then the ski lifts are battered and busted up the chairlifts of literally from the 1980s. They need to take a leaf out of the European resort and start improving the chairlifts and having bubbles and heated seats with eight man chairlifts that run on each of the lifts. You are charging a quadruple the price of a European ski ticket per day so therefore put the money back into the mountain and stop taking the profits. One person on a ski lift yesterday told me it was all about the historical nature of the mountain. Well I’d like to remind that guy that Europe was around a lot longer before the Usa was. But on a constructive note it would be helpful for the price of the lift ticket that the ski lifts were updated for a top class resort you’d expect top class facilities.

Nice area with pretty and quaint little shops, restaurants and art galleries. Perfect for a day visit. Had a nice stroll along the street with a few designated stops in some of the stores, and had nice chats with some store and art gallery owners. Had a good pleasant lunch in a taco restaurant, and an after lunch sweet bite in the local chocolate shop.

Having never been to Park City before I was shocked at how sprawling it is. We stated a hotel with the Olympic ski jump as a backdrop. However 8 mi away was the beautiful Park City Old Town Newtown whatever you want to call it. It is simply gorgeous. We were there early so only the coffee shops showed signs of life. But it was a great time to see the community without the hustle and bustle. Weather was perfect. We aren't much for snow anymore. So Park City in the summer is as good as it gets.

Simply Amazing views, and shops are great. Mountain Scenic and the chairlifts give a great perspective!!

Lovely City! Another place you should visit if you visit Utah. You should go during the daylight and night. Unique shops, art galleries, restaurants, and entertainment. The street was beautifully adorn with colorful lights and flowers. Would love to go back and spend more time on City Park Main Street. The whole city seen like a nice place to live at. Enjoy it!

A nice looking town with lots of high to overpriced shops to browse. Got some good exercise walking down then up hill. It does have a trolley to help people out. Occupied a couple of hours looking around. Asked a shop clerk about public rest rooms and she rudely told us they were next door. They got the job done at best. It is interesting how such upscale towns have such poorly maintained facilites for people that are spending money in the town.

Wow, what a great little town to be in. There are so many galleries. Many great art and photography works. I can imagine this will be a great place to be when the skiers come back in the winter.

Christmas snow globe tour was a little bummer. The website made it seem it would be a little more interactive. Some are spaced really far apart. Had a little higher expectations considering it is in Park City. The decorations on Main Street was cute. Loved the tree. We happened to be there the night Santa was supposed to ski down the slopes. No Santa unlike what the site claimed it was to happen. Big bummer for the kiddos!

We're from Utah so we've skied every resort in the area. So many great ones. But when we landed in Deer Valley we fell in love with it all. The mountain is fantastic for all levels. The services are first class. Food is fantastic. Apres Ski great fun! Don't miss this one if coming to Utah.

Came here to have lunch/drinks on the desk to relax and enjoy the beautiful views they have here on the terrace. My fault I forgot it was a holiday, and they were fully booked; but the nicest male host/manager (tried to catch his name as I left but couldn't find him later) gave me a nice spot to enjoy a mimosa regardless. Super lovely host/manager, I would always come back here for dinner/lunch/drinks on a non-busy holiday. The place is spectacular, be prepared to make a reservation for a weekend or holiday. Thank you Deer Valley folks!

While I love skiing Deer Valley and enjoy the amenities & service… they have eliminated the affordable Locals Ski Pass this 25/26 season. The new “Limited” pass is $1500 and makes it hard for non wealth locals and workers to enjoy the slopes. I find it sad and disappointing that Deer Valley is pushing higher prices and exclusivity over actual benefits for the sport & community !

BEWARE NEVER BUY SEAON PASS INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lived in Park City for over twenty years. Skied at DV for longer. I had bilateral foot surgery last year. For that reason, I purchased insurance on my pass. I didn't use it one time. After submitting all the required documentation, their subsidiary company declined a refund. This is gross injustice. I think DV needs a serious reevaluation.

Jiomary, the restaurant manager, was so incredibly nice and professional. She really enhanced our experience— seriously, she’s an incredible addition to the team here! Delores and Carter were also so friendly and accommodating.

Honestly we had a great time. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Outside of the fact that everything was VERY expensive. Which is totally my perception, so we passed on getting lunch. Went to the top of the mountain and it was amazing. On the way down to the area with the stage and trailers that were selling food and beverages. We went to the ice cream shop and I requested 1. Kids cup single scoop with (free one choice mind you) gummy bears. $4 + $1 for the gummy bears. 1. Single scoop cone with (not charged for free one choice) (free one choice mind you) butterfinger dust. $7 1. Single scoop cup with rainbow sprinkles (free one choice mind you) $7 + $1 for sprinkles. SPRINKLES Total ending at $34.22 What math is this?? She was alone and trying so hard. But to be charged for the free option on the scoops. And to be charged $14 dollars over what is clearly written on the side of the trailer. She was flustered and had a line growing behind me so I didn’t want to give her a hard time since she was obviously overwhelmed. I want a refund for paying almost double what I received and requested

The music was great! But the organization was poor. The line was chaotic, inefficient, and not effective. I know for a fact that people around me in the line told the staff their bags had been checked and they were not. Bring your own food. The options there are limited, expensive, and not good. Just exiting the amphitheater proved to be a challenge. Half the hill was ripped through the restaurant with the path partly blocked. Traffic and foot traffic exiting conflicted and could have been greatly improved.

Our group of eight from NY had the most incredible experience on this trip! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The scenery was breathtaking, the adventure was exhilarating, and every moment felt like something out of a dream. But what truly made this trip unforgettable were our amazing guides, Gage and Sara. Their expertise, kindness, and passion for what they do made us feel both safe and excited every step of the way. We cannot thank Gage and Sara enough for making this adventure so special. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time, sharing their knowledge and energy while making us feel like family. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their dedication to giving us an unforgettable experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for. This trip wouldn’t have been the same without them, and we are forever grateful! Gage is definitely one of those people that I will never forget in my life. Sara and Gage if you read this you guys are the best. So much so that this is the first time in my life that I have ever left a review for anything.

We went snowmobiling yesterday and had an amazing time. The views are spectacular and the trail is very well groomed. They bring you to an open space to zip around quickly if you prefer. What a great time - and we saw a moose!!!!

What an incredible experience! The staff were super friendly and helped you get any gear you might’ve needed/forgotten. Gage, our guide, was very informative on how use the mobile, as it was my first time. He was super encouraging and made the entire experience stress free and fun. We stopped for plenty of photo ops, and even got to see some incredible wildlife. To top it off they had a cute dog named Beans and two adorable puppies. By far my favorite thing I’ve done in Utah! Can’t recommend this place enough!!!

We had an awesome ride with Gage as our top-notch guide. It was one of our favorite experiences while visiting friends in Park City- we blasted over snowy trails, tore up deep powder as a massive thunder-snow storm rolled in, saw a herd of elk moving across the mountain, and had the time of our lives. Gage was incredibly knowledgeable and capable- safety was his primary concern with epic fun a close second. We would highly recommend and will do it again next time we’re out. Our friends plan to take other guests out as well. 5 stars for backcountry and for Gage 🌟

As a crew of 10 we had the absolute best time on our private snowmobile tour with Gage and Julie. They were SO friendly and helped make our experience the best it could be. We have been to many other places throughout the years and this by far were our favorite guides. We will definitely be back next year.

This tour is an absolute must if you are visiting the Park City area! I can’t give enough stars to rate how genuine and kind everyone was on this adventure. Coming to this area of the country we have learned that things can happen that unexpectedly change plans. I have to thank Backcountry Snowmobiling for accommodating us on every level. We had to change our reservation from Friday to Saturday because one of our vehicles didn’t make it through the backroads and the team at Backcountry was so understanding and very generously changed our reservation for the following day. When we arrived we were so warmly greeted a s welcomed. They help fit us for all of our gear and took some amazing pictures of us. Then we meet Gage, our tour guide. From the beginning you can tell this is what he loves. He lives and breathes for this kind of work. He gave very detailed instructions on operating the snowmobile and we all felt we were in such good and safe hands. Then the tour starts and what an adrenaline rush. We seen all the animals on the snowy mountains. Elk, Bald Eagle, and even a momma and baby Moose!! Every time we stopped there was something to see and experience. Gage then takes us to the meadow where the real fun starts. Basically I was living off adrenaline as my snowmobile hit 50 mph. One of the most freeing and exhilarating experiences I have ever had. We should have definitely done the 3 hour tour, I could have gone for hours. Gage then takes us to a personal spot of his where he made an ice bridge over a small stream. For me, this was so beautiful. We then head back to the office area where we are greeted with PUPPIES. YES PUPPIES. What a way to end such an incredible day. We almost didn’t want to leave but they were obviously done for the day. It was an absolute amazing experience from beginning to end. I can’t wait to come back next year to do the 3 hour tour and see how big the puppies get! Thank you to everyone at Backcountry Snowmobiling, and especially Gage for giving such a good experience.

Biggest isn't always best. CRATE killed it on our 5 day Desolation canyon trip! Small group. Which is best in my opinion. Guides can be more attentive to one's needs. 3 day's inclement weather. Pea sized hail and, a flash flood. Want to test your guides? put them through that. Brent, Chase, Owen you guy's shined! Wouldn't trade those rain day's for sunshine. Showed us what we were made of as a group. Oh and just the usual, beautiful canyon's, petroglyph's, natural arches, and hiking.

Just finished an 8 day Grand Canyon Float with CRATE and it was probably the coolest thing I have ever done!!! CRATE and their guides are top notch in every way. Would not float with anyone else!!! I highly recommend CRATE!!!

I can't correctly describe our experience with CRATE. We just got off a 4day row /ranch trip with Sebrina as head of crew and KC or Cassie as our row guide. I came to row so I chose to row as much as possible. IT WAS FANTASTIC! IT WAS AMAZING! It was something I will never forget and something I intend to do every year until my bones push up daisies! The best rafting trip and crew I have ever been on... Thank you!

Did 6 day women's solstice raft on green river. Great experience. Ģuides were superb - accomplished boatmen as well as great cooks, fun to be with. Good hikes with local interpretation. Very accommodating for All fitness levels. I recommend this company highly. They couldn't be nicer or more sincere. The scenery is spectacular and there are good wildlife watching opportunities.

Wow, I cannot say ENOUGH how amazing CRATE was for my August 2018 trip. I've always wanted to raft the Grand Canyon and I couldn't imagine doing it without this family-owned company. From the amazing pre-trip orientation with Bonnie at our hotel in Vegas, the comfortable bus ride out to Fredonia and of course our ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Boat Captains, Walker, and Johnny Ringo, but our Swampers were out of this world too, Yendor, Nayr and Robbie. These folks made our trip truly life-changing, interesting, and fun from the minute we met them at the warehouse. Not ONLY were they completely patient with those on our trip who weren't used to rafting, but they answered every stupid question un-related to rafting that we had-about the animals, their personal lives, stars, planets, their best stories, nothing was off limits with them. Walker's knowledge and obvious passion for the river and his stewardship of the Colorado and the Canyon are apparent in every conversation and action. His ability to make you feel completely comfortable with him from the first minute you meet him, and to make the canyon feel as much like home to us as it is to him, is one that not many have. Johnny Ringo, well, if you've met the man then no explanation needed :D A great personality and hilarious, sometimes subtle, sense of humor and his obvious geology nerdery made his boat fun for all. The fact that he too embraces a costume at camp made us kindred spirits. Yendor, Nayr, and Robbie-the best swampers we could have asked for! Always willing to help, always willing to laugh and so helpful with all the things. The side trips, the waterfalls, the hikes, the out-of-this-world-couldn't-possibly-be-real views, the histories, the connection to place...all happened because of the care that CRATE puts into and behind their business. You know that it is a passion for them first and a business endeavor second. EVERY thought was taken care of: comfortable cots with sleeping pads/bags, ground cover, chairs with backs and MY GOD THE FOOD! I don't eat that well when I'm at home, never would have expected I would eat better/more while on a secluded river trip. There's not enough that I could say about this company, they are amazing in every sense of the word and I cannot wait to get back on to the river with them! And awaaaaaaaaay we go!

There are several ways to see the sites in Devil's Garden. Each route leads to different and longer destinations. The highlight among those is the Landscape Arch. The shortest way to see it is an out-and-back to a fenced observation area. Be sure to explore and find the spot underneath the arch. Most of the trail is paved.

A beautiful hike that's doable for most! Did this hike myself and it took about 45 min at a slow, comfortable pace. There are a few decent inclines so a walking stick may be beneficial. I started this hike around 9am on a weekday in June and the parking area was nearly full. It was already quite warm too (~80°) so as with most hikes in Arches during the summer, you'll want to start EARLY! And don't forget your water bottle 😉

In our view, the most impressive sandstone arch in the entire park, as well as the world. Here you are standing in front of the longest arch in the world, stretching an impressive 306 feet across at the base and a mere 6 feet in diameter at its narrowest point. This natural wonder is a must-see arch for anyone visiting Arches National Park. In 1991, a large slab approximately 73 feet long fell from beneath the arch and that is why no one can hike to the base due to safety concerns. Stunning arch.

It is a thin but long arch. the arch area is protected by fences, so you cannot get close to the arch. The best time to see the arch may be later afternoon when the sunlights come from back of the arch. There is also another arch behind this front big arch, which may be overlooked. It seems this arch could crush any time, kind of dangerous, which is the reason it is protected by fence to avoid visitors getting too close to it.

Easy 2mile trail, beautiful October weather, so glad we experienced it, looking to do more hikes next visit. It was cool so water wasn't an issue.

Get an early timed entry. It gets hot quickly. Devil's garden hike is very nice. A little crowded but not bad. All the different arches are beautiful... Don't miss partition. Arch. Probably one of the prettiest in my humble opinion.

Phenomenal natural bridge in Arches National Park. Definitely a must see! This arch is easy accessible. If you hike further, you can see some additional arches (such as the Navajo Arch and the double O Arch), but these are more difficult to reach. However, the Pine Tree Arch on the other side of Devils Garden is also easy accessible and definitely worth your time!

One of my favorite national parks! We live in Georgia and have been here 3x in the last 5 years. While it’s a popular park, we like it because everything is spread out so there’s plenty of room for everyone! You might have to circle around devils garden loop a few times to find parking, but then you will and you’ll be glad you did. Our favorite is watching sunset from the north window arch! We’ve done this every time we’ve come and it’s never disappointed. We also have three young kiddos, and love that it’s so kid friendly! From lots of sand spots at the end of some arches (pine tree arch and sand dunes arch) to lots of rock climbing that’s relatively safe and again, spacious paths for people to walk. We’ve been to other national parks and it’s not always the case so we appreciate that about this park! It’s a forever favorite and you really can’t go wrong with any of the hikes or views. Definitely bring water and food in, as the only water fill up spots (that I know of) are the visitors center and then devils garden loop. No where to buy food in the park that I know of! Overall, it’s a special and favorite place and highly recommend coming to visit! 🧡🏜️

Probably one of the most beautiful and historic places I've been. Seeing the arches themselves really makes you feel small in a way. Millions and millions of years have gone by and this is what they've left of the rock. Incredible and humbling. You really get a sense of how short our life spans all are. Will they still be here in a hundred years? A thousand? Who knows. Highly recommend going as deep as you can into the park, but you should also really do a multi day trip for this. Too much to take in at once. Visit the sand arches! The silence is golden.

I've lived in Utah for a lot of my life, but this is the first time I've really explored Arches. 10/10. It was 50 degrees on the days I was there which honestly was great. I cannot imagine hiking on the hot rocks in the summer. It was warm enough that but the time I was actually hiking, I pulled off my jacket. Anyway. It was gorgeous. I loved it.

Arches National Park was absolutely stunning. The red rock formations and arches were even more beautiful in person, and every stop had an incredible view. The park was easy to explore, and sunrise/sunset were unforgettable. Pictures do no justice!

A must see location. So many beautiful areas to explore The drive takes at least a hour without traffic. Plan on spending 4 or more hours if you're wanting to see the top attractions. 😉

A neat park with unique natural architecture. The park is organized into a scenic drive with frequent pullouts for viewpoints and short trails into the land itself. If you like long trails and isolation, that’s tough to come by in this park. The back end of Devil’s Garden was the closest that I could find. It’s definitely worth a visit, but I recommend devoting more time to Canyonlands if you’re interested in more serious hiking and exploring. You can hit the highlights of Arches in a half day and cover almost all of it in a full day.

A sight to see! Camping was great. Early November the crowds were much better than peak however there was a lot of traffic even then.

Nice small park. Spaces are level but pretty tight. Shower house is not real private with short walls and wooden walls. It's an okay place to stay. Would stay again.

With all national parks i think it is always good to stop in the visitors center. Here you can get your stamp see some info about the park and if necessary ask the helpful rangers any questions that you may have. They also list any ranger lead activities for the day. Don't forget to cross the street to see the overlook

Love all the national parks, but Canyonlands is the nearby but less busy neighbor to Arches. Some fun hikes, lots to see, especially Mesa Arch is just amazing and there are so many panoramic lookouts.

The ranger was very friendly and helpful. A potable water faucet was conveniently located just outside the visitor center, the only spot for drinking water for anyone camping there. During our early September visit, they offered nearly daily day and night sky programs.

Great place to get your bearings. I mean, the place is massive, massive. The visitor center offers you insight to the trails/weather etc. they also have a gift shop and toilets.

This is where you check-in to start your multi-day White Rim Road adventure. The young man explaining the geology of the area with samples of rock and player casts was quite nice and informative.

Island in the Sky Visitor Center is a great stop in Canyonlands National Park. My wife brought the kids to collect Junior Ranger badges. The staff was friendly and asked fun questions, making it a great experience.

This place is awesome! $20 a car to get in. The Visitor center is cool. It has amazing views, a walking path and the gift shop has all kinds of goodies that aren't terribly expensive. Bathrooms are outside around the side of the building. After that follow 313 to the end. Here there are several places to stop and take photos. There is a building in the center with bathrooms in it. There are also several picnic shelters. You can also get married here. There are 5 different spots. We thought Cliff Side was the best but it was also the most difficult to get to and there is no wall just cliff so be careful especially with kids. There is also 25 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. I haven't tried them yet but when I do I will update this review. Have fun!

This is a great park!! I think the views at the overlook at the end of the road are better than Capital Reef with the bend in the Colorado River and salt ponds, also with shaded areas for eating and restrooms. There are a handful of hiking and biking trails. Great visitor center with a short nature trail and overlook. Well worth the $20 entrance fee.

We visited the Dead Horse National Park. It was just beautiful! We drove up to the top point and enjoyed a picnic lunch under an overhang with cliff seating and benches in the shade. The restroom was clean and beautifully tiled walls. We saw the place where the Thelma & Louise car was driven off the cliff for the movie too!

This state park offers great views of Colorado River canyon. The views are quite open, you can see far way and a bend of the river (similar to Horseshoe Bend). You can watch both sunrise and sunset of the canyon. As there is no camping site in nearby Cayonland National Park, this state park can be used for camping after visiting the Canyonland National Park, they both offer great views of the canyon and Colorado River. The camping sites here are well maintained, very clean. Some sites are not car assessable, you need park the car in nearby parking spot and carry all you camping stuff to the site. It was very windy in April and we felt that the tent could be blew away any time during the night. Strongly recommended.

Underrated mini Grand Canyon that’s much less busy! We stayed in a yurt in the campgrounds and it was fantastic. There was Ac in the unit and a little sky light in the middle! Saw the most amazing starry sky! Very close spectacular drive to arches as well!

I’ve decided we should rename this place Happy Horse. Dead horse is a terrible name with a horrible legend! But the trails made me happy- super fun on an ebike and highly recommended as your last ride before you leave Moab. You know, after you’ve ridden Ahab and your body feels like Mufasa in the wildebeest gorge. This trail was a nice recovery ride with just enough features and flow to be interesting, challenging and fun! And they have a ?crow or raven? who is super friendly and came right over to me! It was a bit more chilly than down in Moab so bring layers.

This location holds a special place in my heart since I have rafted the bend many years ago. I would put this as a quick stop over if you are in the Moab area but not somewhere I would go out of my way to go to. To me it is worth the entrance price since roughly same view you could get from Horse Shoe bend and more accessible (Horse Shoe bend is prettier with the colors but in summer the hike is miserable). Very pretty in morning but to get some deep shadows for photography.

Moderate hike with really fun features like crossing the railroad tracks, a ladder, and steep slick rock steps with a chain. Really rewarding and lots of places to take breaks. I would recommend this to anyone going to Moab. 3 arches visible on this hike.

An absolute must do and in the Moab area. This is a relatively short hike, just over a mile each way. The hike is relatively easy. The last section is a little tricky but if you just go slow, it’s no problem. It’s so fun to be able to walk up under the arch and see it from both sides. We’ve been here multiple times and keep coming back over and over each time we come to Moab with someone new.

This is such a beautiful hike. It’s 30 minutes from Moab and starts right next to the Colorado River. There are no fees. It’s family and dog friendly. It gets busy but it’s so large you don’t feel overwhelmed by the people. It’s spring break so lots of families, dogs and students out in hoards out today.

Amazing experience with my dog. The scenery is gorgeous, the trail is a little bit challenging for the big dogs, I’m talking about the real crawling period, but my Coco made it.

This is one of my favorite short hikes in Moab. Quick, beautiful, and with stunning views. You can also turn it into a trail run.

Easy hike with beautiful views! The trail is easy to follow. It has a steep spot where hikers can get bottlenecked. Most of the tougher part of the trail is slickrock. Wear good shoes with good grip. Not the most dog friendly trails but it's doable. Go check out Pinto Arch as well, it's worth the extra trek!

If you have visitors or tweens or teens, this is always a fun hike for them. Older ones with balance issues will not do well on this hike. We saw a lot of people carrying younger ones for safety reasons, or they pooped out. The hike has a decent ascent, and then it flattens out. You are hiking on sandstone rocks, so wear shoes with a good grip. With the help of a chain, you ascend up a rock. Next, a small ladder helps you to the next plateau. You will only have a few hundred yards to go to reach the arch. Coming back down, the ladder and chain seem a little more difficult for us older ones. I feel like this hike is fun for all ages. Take your time, bring a little water, and enjoy.

Extremely fun adventure would recommend. It is very visually challenging but really worthy. Definitely if it it your first time driving ATV warmup at Fins and Things

Best trail we’ve run to date. Every bit as challenging as the ratings say, but soooo much fun. Very manageable if you want to make it easy (moderately) and insanely difficult if you’re up for it. Took us nearly six hours because we stopped a lot to look around.

Amazing views and it was an adrenaline rush from start to finish! We rented 2 seater stock RZR 1000s and they were great on this trail. We didn’t do the more difficult obstacles like hells gate or the escalator. The RZR did fine with Mickeys hot tub though. Hells Revenge and Poison Spider Mesa were our two favorite off road trails in Moab.

Awesome trail! Took our four runner up it, 3 inch lift, basically stock. Most parts of the trail were easy to traverse, we didn't make it up hells gate, maybe next time! Ended up joining up with a bunch of guys from Wisconsin, sorry friendly, definitely more fun being with a group, and much safer!

One of my favorite trails in Moab. Lots of obstacles, some easy, some hard, some with a pucker factor of 10! Great place to test your skills - and don't forget to try Hell's Gate and the escalator!

Fun trail to run, we bypassed some of the obstacles like Mickey’s hot tub and Hell’s gate, probably will come back to run those when we are with a group, definitely recommend this trail!

Truly one of the more spectacular places I've seen in my life in my travels around the world. I've seen some amazing things and this is one of the few places that gives you the feeling of insignificance in the grand scheme of things like the grand canyon. The views are breathtaking, traffic to get in wasn't bad, but beware that there is very little cell phone signal anywhere out here. Some of the trails are poorly marked and some of them have a lot of steps that are in poor condition from rain and erosion.

I visited Canyonlands National Park and was completely blown away by the massive red rock canyons and endless panoramic views. The overlooks were stunning, especially at sunrise, and the hiking trails gave a real sense of adventure and peace. What I didn’t love was how few shaded areas there were — the heat can get pretty intense, and some trails felt a bit poorly marked. Still, it’s an incredible and unforgettable place that’s absolutely worth the trip if you love wild landscapes and open skies.

Absolutely gorgeous! The views are breathtaking and the natural landscape looks like a dream. Don’t skip out on this park if you are nearby. It was 100% worth the visit. If you can enjoy the night sky and stargaze. We were able to see the Milky Way. It was beautiful!

This is a beautiful park. The canyons are spectacular, and vast, though not as colorful as the Grand Canyon. You can see a lot from your car, but for the full experience hit some of the hiking trails.

Absolutely stunning vistas. Big horn sheep. Off roading and camping in the middle of nowhere and having one of the funnest vacations of my life with 3 of my sons and daughters in law. We did Shafer trail one day, then White Rim trail over 2 days. Cannot wait to go back and do it all again!

This is a large park. I recommend a full day to see it. There is a lot of hiking/walking to the main points. There is also two entrances to the park. The first one is up on the north end by Moab and Dead Horse State Park. This is where the Island in the Sky visitor center is located. Almost every stop after you park there is a short walk to the view. The Mesa Arch is a short hike. On a decent trail. I would plan on taking water and planning on a hour. Even if you are not in great physical shape you can do this. It is well worth it. On the south east side of the park is the other entrance to the needles. You will loose internet access to maps on your way there. I would recommend taking a few photos of maps before going, unless you already have the park map the road is on that to the park.

Incredible with immense grandeur. Between arches and Canyonlands, Canyonlands has much longer trails, more open space, and easier avenues to avoid crowds. If you have time, check out both the main part of the park and the needles district to the south. My highlights were Druid arch and Murphy canyon.

It's a roadside attraction and very cool. The story of how it came to be is very interesting! Short little tour of the house but you cannot take pictures in there, it's worth a stop and to do. Outside, the property had lots of thing art and things to check out which was very pretty. They have a general store and a trading post. We got there right as the petting zoo was closing, so bummed we couldn't check that out!

Such a fun stop if you’re passing through the area. The Trading Post had a great selection of unique and handcrafted items. There are surprises around every corner as you stroll around the property (be sure to look for Big Foot), and there are fun activities perfect for breaking up a long drive. Be sure to tour the house… Austin is a fantastic guide!

My daughter and I were there yesterday. There's nothing to see there at all. A couple of souvenir shops, a restroom, and a small zoo with its characteristically distinctive smell. We paid about $20 for two and a bucket of chopped vegetables for the prisoners 🥹. The camel was quite friendly and happily ate almost the entire bucket. There are also a few goats, llamas, donkeys, bison, and a few birds. If you're looking for something to entertain the kids on your trip, this is the place.

Pretty cool spot and tour was worth the small price. Got to learn some cool history from my guide. Also 2 amazing sculptures outside.

What a cool stop! We did the short tour through the house…worth the $8-9. The art on property was also cool. They once ran a restaurant out of the hole and it would have been nice to get something to eat while visiting.

This Hole N The Rock is fun, quirky, and a great photo op. Why would you have a 5000 sq ft house built here? No idea because I didn’t go on the tour. We took a bunch of photos and bought an $8 magnet though.

Fun little stop on the side of the road! Had a zoo and cute little shops. Also restrooms! I’ve heard the house tour was awesome but we were short on time.

Great place to spend an entire day! Here's some pointers to get the most out of your visit: Bring bug spray. There are bugs. Use sunscreen. There's minimal tree cover. Bring water. There are no water sources throughout the park. Plan which trails you wish to hike beforehand and have a navigation app on your phone to ensure you don't get lost. Many of the trails are interconnected. Safety first! Maintain a safe distance from the edge at all lookout points to prevent accidents.

Colorado National Monument is, without question, my absolute favorite place in the entire United States. Every time I visit, I’m completely blown away by the breathtaking scenery — towering red rock formations, dramatic cliffs, and winding canyons that stretch as far as the eye can see. The views are simply unforgettable, whether you’re driving along Rim Rock Drive or stopping at one of the many overlooks to take it all in. What makes this place so special for me is the sense of peace and connection you feel the moment you arrive. It’s not just about the stunning landscapes — it’s about the atmosphere, the silence, and the feeling of being surrounded by something so majestic and timeless. Hiking the trails here is an incredible experience, with each path offering new perspectives of the canyons and unique rock formations. I’ve traveled to many national parks and landmarks, but nothing compares to Colorado National Monument. It holds a special place in my heart, and I truly believe it’s one of the most underrated natural wonders in the country. If you want to see the real beauty of the American West, this is the place to be.”

Really amazing place to visit if near grand junction / Fruita. We did the drive and stopped at various view points. Really beautiful to see. We were lucky and saw a group of big horn sheep as well, be careful driving so you don’t accidentally hit them, they were on the road around a corner and could easily be hit. America the beautiful pass is accepted here also.

As part of a cross country road trip we spent a night in grand junction after being at several national parks in Utah. The next morning we did the scenic drive through Colorado national monument. The scenery was amazing. I would honestly say CNM was just as beautiful as Utah’s Parks’s, but with a lot less crowds. We stopped at a number of scenic pull offs to take in the views, but didn’t get a chance to see everything we wish we could have seen due to a time entry at a hot spring in glenwood springs. After being in 9 national parks on the trip we finally saw a big horn sheep at a very close distance too. If you are anywhere close to CNM, highly recommend seeing this park.

Amazing park!!! We were headin’ to another park when we spotted this one on the map. What a big ol’ surprise! We pulled in with the RV, spent the night, and woke up early. Took a nice three-hour stroll on that gorgeous monument trail. Powerful experience, y’all. Don’t miss it!

Amazing views and a very nice drive. Plenty of viewing areas. Went today, on a Monday morning just after sunrise and there was hardly anyone around (the way I like it). Would definitely drive this again and make time for some of the hikes!

Its an evening day in the summer, fall or winter and you are wanting to have a nice quite hour long drive to yourself or with friends, this will be a location you can return to over and over, enjoying yourself everytime!! The views are stunning, the visitors center is open 8am-5pm with restrooms, and outside water is accessible at any time fountain and faucet style access. Each one of the plants is labeled for fun facts as well. There are so many look-out stopping points throughout your drive, short hikes to get your spirits up and body moving!! This will be a must-see for anyone travel around the area. Pack a lunch or just go to sit on the rocks and breathe in life. Please pack your trash out if you bring it in, and this amazing place will stay amazing for everyone!!

I have tried to visit this museum five times now, but all I can ever do is peek through the window and see some posters. This last time I even called! Open Wednesday thru Sunday, 1 to 4 said the recorded message at the end of the line. And Google agreed! And with an ETA of Friday at 2pm I set out to check out some sweet cars. I ran into the Silver Summit, a classic car race, while in Gateway so I did at least see some cool cars. But nothing at the museum because they were closed. The dude at the front lobby couldn't give any indication to when they'd be open again.

This used to be a really neat museum! Lots of great cars over the years. The collection has been sold as the owners have chosen to focus on their lodging and Jeep tour business. It was a great collection while it lasted!

We visit about once a year and we notice something new each time. The cars are beautifully & creatively displayed in themed rooms. Even a non-enthusiast can appreciate the artistic qualities and beauty of these classics. Never crowded. Clean rest rooms. Wonderful meals served at the on-site Paradox Grille.

A great museum with top notch cars! Definitely worth the $15 admission price, kids are free and seniors/vets are $10. There's more than one "One of a Kind" cars on display.

Beautiful we'll laid out museum. A lot of history in this magnificent display, and many people should see where all cars of today originated from. Pure perfection, and no flaws on any vehicle in this museum. I had many favorites within these walls. The admission was free for guests staying at the property, but the fee for non guests is very reasonable. This is a well sought out collection that all must see at least once on their lifetime. I give another 👍👍 A+!

Pretty amazing to have access to an auto museum on the resort property. One that has such cool and rare cars. The caretaker was informative and super helpful.

Outstanding! Educational and impressive! It might be free if you're staying at the resort, but it was $15/pp if you weren't. A great collection! We were a little bummed that the Duesenberg car wasn't there; we heard it was getting a new radiator. The museum said all the cars were drivable. Great stop in some beautiful canyons!

Quaint little town, with shops & restaurants & entertainment. Not to mention the toffee candy shop. Great visit, great food & great fun for all!

The grand Valley is just spectacular. Make sure to stop in Grand Junction, Palisade and Fruta.

The record store was very well organized and had a great selection. We spent at least an hour looking at the antique store that houses many different vendors. We ate freshly made cinnamon rolls from the corner bakery. We really enjoyed the vibe of the area and will be back.

If you are in the town and the area, I recommend to stop here and visit Historic downtown Grand Junction. My husband and I both liked this area and the local stores and restaurants. It is such a cute little town.

Downtown Grand Junction Colorado is a vibrant, diverse fun experience. Make your way to Small Mall on Main, 558 Main Street for a super fun shopping experience..It's over 30 local vendors under one roof!

Being there at a cold winters day was most likely different than on a summers day. It was a bit empty as it was cold, but I thing it will be a very nice place on a summers day. At least it was not all done for cars but there were room for walking down the main street.

Surfin’ Salmon food truck @downtowngjfarmersmarket — #defworthtrying! Portobello mushroom tacos — simply scrumptious. Great service, great value, great hot sauce bar. Walked across the street to enjoy some live music & my favorite dragonz. Heavenly.

We loved this little park. The water falls are impressive and they have a little trail that goes around so you can see different angles of the falls. The caverns were also a surprise. We spent about an hour and we loved it. It was the highlight of our day.

Great little place to visit. I think it's about 20 or 30 minutes off of I-70 but it's well worth the visit. Just a short hike to the falls and it is very easy. There are a few other things to see here like a small cave. You can walk up and around to the top of the falls. It is a little bit harder of a walk to get up there but it's mostly stairs and if you can walk stairs you can probably do it.

Pretty great and easy little hike, featuring some amazing views. Came for the waterfalls, fell in love with the caves. Very neat. More garbages would be preferred, since pets are allowed and therefore some garbage accumulates along trail. People should be more respectful and responsible and this wouldn't be an issue. Also, would like more signage indicating which trails/paths lead to where. As well as which caves are safe to enter.

Such a beautiful place. No hike needed to see the waterfall but do recommend to walk the trail as it takes you to little caves created around the falls and around to the top of the waterfall and back down to the back of the falls. The water looks so crystal clear. 10/10 recommend such a beautiful landscape.

We had to wait a bit before entering since they have limited parking, but it was well worth the wait. The falls are amazing the park is very well maintained. The photos don't do it justice, you have to go to really appreciate the beauty. We stopped at the hatchery up the road while we waited and that proved fun as well.

An awesome experience. Keep going towards the cascades, it's worth it. The fishery is amazingly keeped clean. The map and what was actually open for a trail was really confusing, ( take pictures of the maps people). Try doing the Bobcat trail and got lost for a minute, but we made it to the cascades. Took a break for some snacks and liquids, ( also took amazing pictures). Got some rain along the way, exactly what to expect in Colorado weather. I would recommend this stop along your visit/drive-thru Colorado I-70. Would recommend camping here. Go to there website for more information. Be safe everyone.

Parking is enough limited (on a Saturday at 11am) that when they are full they turn you away at the gate and tell you to come back in 30 minutes which at first was frustrating after an extra 45 min drive into the place… so we drove about a mile down the street found the bobcat trail and hiked a mile in and it ended up being more worth it to get there and continue seeing beautiful things.. cascades, caves, falls and then behind the falls…. Definitely worth it and a beautiful spot.

I love this Mesa. There is so much fun to find up there. There a hundreds of lake's and streams. It is cool. There are fish everywhere. The bad is the bugs get horrible. Something none at all, other times you need a shotgun for repellent because they are persistent. Either way you have to get out there and enjoy it.

Most beautiful flattop mountain iv ever seen. Well worth a 10 hour drive to camp for a few nights. Plenty of trails and campgrounds, but be aware of cooking meat that isn't covered and storing it as its bear territory here

Grand Mesa is very beautiful. I can't wait to go again next year. The colors are just so beautiful. I lived in California for 48 years so to see a real fall finally is just wonderful.

You could spend weeks here and not see it all! Gorgeous views of Grand Junction, Delta, and La Sal Mountains! Roads were in nice shape, there’s a million different lakes and the fall colors were really popping off when we were up there. There’s so much to do here, it can be overwhelming but definitely worth checking out

🔊🔊🔊 Hello Review Readers 🔊🔊🔊 Hello Y'all ..if you're looking for a fun summer drive then load up your vehicle & picnic lunches and drive the Grand Mesa loop. You can do it from either direction in a circle from Grand Junction. Going the ski area way or the Delta way is equally beautiful! Depending on how many times you stop to take pictures it's probably about a 2 1/2 -3 hour loop. At the top of the Grand Mesa there is a visitor center and many amazing lakes and breathtaking scenery. If you live anywhere in the area or just passing through on vacation do yourself a favor and drive the Grand Mesa loop. It's a very relaxing and peaceful drive. It's definitely a bucket list drive because the scenery from the top is next level. Have fun Y'all!

I thought you could rent equipment here for kayaking but it doesn’t work that way. You have to bring whatever you want. I did some hiking but had a hard time following the signs and didn’t end up where I was trying to go. There is no cell service. I drove all the way through both ways. On my way back in the evening I saw a bear crossing the road! I definitely recommend doing the drive and hiking if you like to hike but it’s difficult to understand the services and there’s no one to help as the visitors center is no longer staffed.

We visited Grand Mesa in August of 2023 and I am so glad we did! The weather was perfect. We stoped and walked along many of the larger lakes (there are over 300 lakes) . We entered from the South 50 to 65 . Visitor center is far in, nearly at top of Mesa first 6 of 12 mile drive was gravel rough road and the drive itself is pretty shaky. The visitor center was nice, the lakes around the visitor center were pretty. Overall nice experience but be prepared for mosquitos in the summer bring a repellent for the mosquitoes.

Lovely, smaller amusement park with plenty to do. Our group went during the week (Thursday) and had a blast. Line wait times were short and all the rides were exciting. The food was also pretty decent (burgers and chicken tenders - as to be expected with these locations). I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance and paying a little extra ($10 when we went) for preferred parking. It's absolutely worth it as you can park right next to (if not very close) the gondolas that take you to the park.

Took my dad and my son here. My dad loves these rides. They’re unique because they’re hanging over the mountain, which adds a little extra thrill. It’s a great place not a lot of lines. We usually go in September October. Beautiful view from the mountain tops and the food is not that bad. The Cape tours are pretty cool too. The people that give the tour seem like they really enjoy it and are very knowledgeable about how caves work and all of the formations..

The views are stunning. The prices are reasonable. The coaster is probably one of the funnest things I’ve ever done and the cave tours are absolutely amazing if you have kids or even just if you’re an adult, the gondola ride is really fun and just the views when you come out of the caves or up top I absolutely love it here and if you’re visiting, you should check it out and do all of the rides and all of the cave tours, the guides and the tour guides are absolutely amazing extremely knowledgeable extremely funny. I absolutely love every time I come to visit going to Glenwood Springs and go to the adventure park.

Being a park and coaster enthusiast I’ve been to many parks. I had heard mostly good things about Glenwood Caverns and decided to take a day trip up there with a friend. I was thoroughly impressed with the park! The pricing felt reasonable for the attractions offered, service and staff were excellent, the atmosphere was quite nice, the food was decent, and the rides were of a good quality overall! I especially enjoyed the cave tours and 4 coasters! The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made for a fun experience inside both caves! I do wish they had a few more rides with more variety, but what they have is great!

After I got around the hiccup that was me figuring out the free parking, the GCAP was a excellent addition to my Glenwood experience. The views up there are hard to beat, and while we intitially were up there in nothing but rain and fog, when the clouds finally parted it was truly magical. It is to be noted that the adventure park is a bit limited to what younger children can do (think 10 and under) and some of the rides are a bit too high intensity for those of young age and wrangling any youngsters in caves can also be a hassle. I wasn't wrangling children myself but parents be aware. The caverns are absolutely stunning but the Fairy Cavern miiiight trigger the unknowning claustrophobic (don't find out the hard way folks) Overall - lovely experience - definitely recommend.

Yes you can drive up on Transfer Trail, up to the lot where I took these picture. Transfer Trail is a free public road. There is a separate back service only private road with restricted access to Glenwood Cavern Adventure park that is not open to the public. It is gated with no trespassing, but all other roads are free and open to the public. It is a totally free drive, mostly gravel, but no need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Nice place to stop, enjoy the views, enjoy your picnic lunch. If you like, you can also visit Glenwood Adventure Park, ride the Gondola up and enjoy all the park has to offer. Gate passes run from $37 to $84 per person per day. I didn't see any family friendly pricing options on their website. Enjoy.

We visited a weekday at the end of October and it was fantastic. Only one food vendor was open at this time but that’s the only downside. The rides are fantastic for adrenaline junkies and there were little to no lines. We love a good cave as well and the tours were great! Highly recommend the black light tour of fairy caves.

To state how beautiful the lake is, it would oversimplify how the mist from the lake gently sprays on the skin, cold air blowing after an exhausting hike many steps up. I had to wake up early to arrive there around 8 with my family. For entry, a reservation is needed to be permitted in; lucky, we were prepared with one. Before entering the trail, there was construction happening to the parking lot and parts of the trail that were blocked off. Near where the hiking trail begins, a section of the sidewalk is blocked, and we walk where barriers are connected to the other side. There are no struggles that happen at the beginning of the trail, thankfully. When hiking up, I thought it would take many minutes to get to the lake, but it was shocked when I saw the last stone staircase under 30 minutes. I am amused how the trail, known to be really rocky and loose with rumble, was a simple journey to walk through. Now, the lake itself is gorgeous to look at and take photos, but the path too has delightful details that make the journey already worth the visit. Honestly, writing a review on this location is a favor to go outside and take a break from the clutter-y week. Take care of yourself ❤️

The Hanging Lake Trail is about 2 miles long with some elevation, but it’s an easy hike thanks to the steps along the way. The lake at the end is beautiful, and the view is absolutely spectacular. We’ll definitely do it again!

Nice little hike. Very scenic at the top. Don't give up. If you can do the Manitou incline this is a piece of cake. Very rocky wear shoes with traction.

Beautiful, well maintained trail. Recommend getting permit beforehand. The steps were quite a workout but doable with lots of breaks in the shade. Bring extra water! We ran out near the top of the trail. My 10 year old with asthma made it and said it was absolutely worth it ! The lake is gorgeous, dreamy, better than expected. Absolutely worth the hike. Bring a snack to lunch at the lake before heading back down. In total took us 2.5 hours round trip moving at a reasonably slow pace.

This hike was beautiful. Trail is well maintained, and the payoff is worth the climb. I would definitely recommend hiking boots for this trail.

Had the pleasure of working with Desiree for the group rates. The customer service was AMAZING. She was able to meet all of the needs of our group including switching ski days for some of us who became sick, sign some of us up last minute for ski schools, and refund lift tickets and rentals for some of us that got injured. Ski conditions were awesome! No lines for the lifts, rentals were very nice, trails had fluffy fresh powder. This place is a real hidden gem!

I love this place. We come back almost every year. It’s far enough away from the really big resorts that it feels like you get. Local vibe, and usually the mountain is not too crowded. Great spot for beginners or advanced, as the lifts are super easy and the mountain has lots of great trails. Absolutely recommend taking a day or two here!

Great place to ski with a family. Very affordable and close to Glenwood. We had a group of 6 kids and 4 adults and everyone enjoyed the snow. Snack bar had very good food and was cheap!!! I highly recommend the Chicago hot dog. Delicious. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Locals ski mountain with ample tree terrain for those who want to adventure. Great for families. Lodge has food and beverage, feels a bit nostalgic in ways.

Best run of the season for us, myself with beginner 5 and 13 year old. This place was perfect. Long nice slopes. There weren't many people in the slopes. Beautiful views.

Sunlight is a beautiful gem! Has all the views and great CO snow but isn't crowded. The lifts are definitely a little ancient but our family had a blast at this resort. Everyone is so nice! Has runs for everyone! We stayed at the Gnarly Inn at the bottom which is an experience in itself. About 20 min from Glenwood Springs.

I give this resort 4.5 stars! It would receive 5 stars if the kids in the rental shop were a little better trained. This resort shined in other areas though! First, it's very uncrowded and has some great long runs. The lifts were not the greatest but so many times I would look ahead and behind me on a run and...I was the only one there. The staff was super friendly, from the lift attendants to the lodge cafe workers to Bill in the locker office. The food was great and reasonably priced compared to other resorts. We did not have great snow unfortunately and there were some icy patches but did I mention that I had the mountain to myself many times? I improved so much. We put a 13 year old in ski lessons the first morning and not only were they super reasonable, she graduated to blues by the second day. We visited NYE weekend. The first day we arrived at 8.30 and parked right in front of the entrance. Second day we arrived at almost 10 and had a 1 or 2 minute walk. We used our Indy passes and it was super easy. Just show them at the lift ticket window in exchange for lift tickets. Only once was the beginner lift busy. Again, the lifts could themselves could be better (my boots and skis felt like 500 pound weights without foot rests) but if you want wide open spaces to ski, this is the place!

We decided we wanted to take Keblar Pass on our way back home, as we came to see the aspens peak season! We were so happy we did, this was actually some of the prettiest scenery we had seen our entire Colorado trip , we came Late September & the views were endless, lookout spots. The road turns into gravel but signage was super helpful and it did not feel unsafe! If you are considering if it’s worth it , this time of year I can vouch it is definitely worth it!

Kebler Pass is one of Colorado’s most stunning fall drives! The golden aspens stretch for miles, creating a glowing canopy of color. The road winds through breathtaking mountain views and peaceful meadows. Absolutely worth the trip for anyone chasing peak fall foliage!

Great place to see wildflowers bloom, aspen trees, ferns and beautiful streams and little waterfalls in Colorado.

Drove the road east to west on July 7, 2024 as bypass for the closed middle bridge over Blue Mesa Reservoir on US50. With the closure I expected high traffic, especially at the end of a holiday weekend but it was light. Expect about 20 miles of gravel road, but in good condition with only a little washboard and a few pot holes. Speeds of 25-30mph were quite comfortable. I see no reason why ordinary passenger cars would find difficulty, but don’t be in a hurry. Take some of the time you saved by not detouring to I70 to slow down and enjoy the wild flowers and amazing scenery. But please stay in your lane when rounding bends, more than once we met an oncoming car taking the middle of the road. We had a delightful drive.

We had amazing experience driving through Kebler Pass during fall colors (1st week of Oct), it was drizzling on the day and driving on wet gravel road was challenging, but the fall color views were worth it !
