Gorgeous platform setup! Gift shop was actually very affordable. I usually get sticker shock but was pleasantly surprised here! We had tickets for the first class parlor and it was very comfortable. Our server was wonderful. The scenery was great - farmland, farm animals, a small park, and other small attractions that the train goes through. 45 minutes is perfect duration especially with a child. We’re from honesdale — known for having the first locomotive train so we’ve been on several rides by us. But this one was so much nicer in every single way. Would recommend to anyone visiting Lancaster!

Strasburg Rail Road is a wonderful experience for families, students, and anyone who loves history and trains! The ride through the beautiful Amish countryside feels like stepping back in time — peaceful fields, horses, and old barns all along the way. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience both fun and educational. The vintage steam locomotive is kept in amazing condition, and you can feel the power and nostalgia with every whistle. The station area is also lovely, with gift shops, small museums, and food options nearby. Perfect for kids and groups — it’s not just a train ride, it’s a journey through history. Highly recommend visiting, especially in the fall when the scenery is at its best!

We attended the Cheese and Wine event and had a great time! The station looked magical with Christmas lights, wreaths, and trees creating a festive atmosphere. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the parlor car had a cozy, vintage feel. The train ride was shorter than expected, and since we went at night, there wasn’t much scenery to see—daytime rides would be better for that. The cheese and wine were delicious but the portions were on the small side. I do not beleive the ticket price reflected the quantity of the cheese and wine accurately. The gift shop was a pleasant surprise with lots of train-themed and holiday items. Overall, it was a fun and festive experience, perfect for the holiday season!

My friends and I are celebrating 50 yrs of friendship and I mentioned it to the conductor and next thing I know he come with balloons for us, we were so surprised. I had reserved seats in the lounge car which was great with the swivel chairs. The ride was great with interesting landscapes and the ride was monitored along the way. My friends and I truly enjoyed it.

Just fantastic 🤩 I've been on several train rides, but this is the most scenic and the nicest restored cars, and the most selection of seating. And a real steam engine, choo choo!🚂 And the cutest little train station village and shops. Best T-shirt 👕 choices. Just great fun 🙌🏻

We drove all the way from Cleveland, Ohio (6 hours!!) to ride this train and it was incredible. My 3 year old is obsessed with trains so instead of having a birthday party we decided to spend a weekend away to learn all about trains. The entire experience was incredible - meeting Mrs. Claus, dropping a letter to Santa in the hopes we will receive a letter back, the Christmas songs, the train itself was so nostalgic, Santa on board was great! We also really enjoyed the smaller train ride after riding the big train. All in all, we had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone. We arrived 45 min prior to getting on the train (like the email recommended) so we could spend some time to do all the fun Christmas activities. Also, shockingly enough, I found this train experience using ChatGPT. I'm a working mom of 3 with limited time so I took to ChatGPT to help plan our weekend away and this is what it recommended we do. So glad I trusted it!

If you're making a trip to Lancaster, adding this to your itinerary is a must. We were just there this past weekend and did the Santa Express car (they have different experiences and price points). Ours was just perfect, a little less than an hour, with beautiful scenic route, live entertainment with instruments and Carolers. Of course the Cherry on top was Santa making his way and stopping to speak with every child, give a small Candycane and ornament gift and take pictures with each family. In addition to all that, they have a lovely station with stores, eateries, and also outdoor entertainment. Super super cute! Will go back!

Wonderful live show in Pennsylvania! Had this trip planned for over a year. It did not disappoint.! The show Noah was awesome the actors and actresses were amazing .The live animals were awesome as well. The effects blew me away. I highly recommend everyone who can go see these live shows.

Beautiful theater, comfortable seats, ushers very friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about the actors, actresses and the stage hands that brought the events of Noah to life in front of our eyes! What a wonderful performance! This was my husband and my first experience and it will resonate with us and those that accompanied us for years to come!

**Highly Recommended for wholesome family entertainment!** - This is comparable to a Broadway show in NYC except these stories are from the BIBLE and great for the entire family. - (All my family members agree) - In addition to the main stage, they have stages on both sides of the auditorium, which gives it a "surround" or immersive effect. - The plays include musical numbers for their many scenes. - They include some one-liners for laughs.. ..which brings some light-heartedness. - They have LIVE ANIMALS in the plays also; horses, pigs, camels, sheep, goats, dogs, birds, (the kids love it..!) - It is located in Lancaster, Pa. (a great family-wholesome place to go after for lunch, sight-seeing and staying the night) - Each of these stories are heart-felt; and include a good main theme to take/ bring home with you and put into practice.. - Our Family has seen the plays: Jesus; Noah, Moses; David; Queen Esther, The Miracle of Christmas. - I would recommend a weekday, since the weekends usually get booked-up quickly. - I also suggest purchasing them online, or calling the reservation center, to make sure you get tickets. (get sold-out quickly) - They also have a nice gift shop and refreshment stands in the main lobby - (we had coffee, soft drinks, and Glazed Almonds (delicious if you are not allergic) - Cannot say enough good about this place and will continue to come back (even the kids are grown-up now) lol...

Sight and Sound is a wonderful experience for families to go to together, friends, or for your children to attend. This theater truly brings to life biblical stories with great detail and very Supreme acting. They are very punctual at starting and I recommend that anyone that can go will see it. The costay seem high, but it's very worth it and you can understand the cost to operate such a theater. I highly recommend it to anyone.

We saw Noah on a Wednesday afternoon. The place was sold out even on a weekday. The staff is helpful and friendly from the parking attendants who parked us close due to seniors with walking limitations to the will call and concessions and ushers. The show is spectacular with the actors, animatronics and live animals. It is also very emotional with a lovely surprise ending. You won’t be disappointed with this experience.

My family and I had heard great things about Sight and Sound, but we had never been to a show until recently. It did not disappoint! Noah was outstanding, and my 4 yr. old grandson loved it! What a great experience! Thank you!

I’ve been a few times. The theatrical performances I’ve seen have been Jonah, Daniel, Noah, and The Christmas Story. This is one trip that’s worth repeating. Buy tickets MONTHS ahead. If you want to go on a specific date then order as soon as the box office opens, shows get booked super fast. I travel with a bus group. Now that part has its ups ands down.

I personally I can't rate the rooms because I did not get a room there. I went there honestly just to kill time Friday afternoon and it was very laid-back not too much commotion drinks were fair price and a lot bigger than I was thinking it was. It's my first time ever being there but I will definitely be going back more often now.

We had a great experience with Ballys. Fabulous room and great selection of slot machines. Also play craps and roulette. We ate at the sugar factory & best odds. Very good food and friendly staff. We will be going back to Ballys Dover

This is my second stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, it has been the most disappointing experience I have ever had with any establishment. At 6:30 AM this morning, I was charged $115.22 without my knowledge or consent, and I did not receive a bill or receipt for this transaction. This constitutes unauthorized billing, which is not only unacceptable but could be considered fraudulent. The charge was only reversed after I escalated the matter to the manager at the front desk, and I was told it would take several days before the funds return to my account. That's 215 dollars due to the 100 incidental charge. I was further informed that this has happened to multiple guests, which is deeply concerning. Despite this significant inconvenience and breach of trust, no one offered any form of acknowledgment or compensation. I no longer feel comfortable staying here, yet I am unable to obtain a refund for the following night, leaving me stuck in a situation I would never have chosen. The rooms are subpar, there are no amenities available, and the overall lack of accountability is unacceptable. I strongly caution anyone considering this property to look elsewhere.

The staff is friendly, they receive you with kindness and professionalism at the front desk and everyone says good morning/good afternoon. The rooms are clean and the place looks like a luxury resort. I’ve stayed at other hotels in the area and in the same price range, this one is definitely the best.

I had a deplorably experience today at Bally’s this morning simply playing a game I got harassed by Joe Fredricks who told me he had been watching me personally for 20 minutes while playing the slots and as he rudely interrupted me play her also decided to tell me how long he’s been in his position as if that was some how justified his belligerent actions. I’m a Supper Star card holder and have be visiting that casino since it was Dover Downs. And I’ve never felt so disrespected being interrupted while playing harassed all while watching other players do the samething and not even be approached. He even went so far as to say people keep coming in here messing the machines up and as a black male I would like to know what he meant by that. Giving I was the only people being harassed.

Staff was courteous and friendly, room was very clean, however for being a 4-star hotel there's no complimentary breakfast, there was a $50 fee to check in 2 hours early, the indoor pool doesn't work.

This location is supposed to have a working pool, if the pool is not going to be operational in the near future it should not be listed as an amenity, very disappointing especially due to it being summer. The rooms are fine, clean. I rated 3 stars because there's no microwave in the room. I asked if there was a way to heat my food and was told no.. Otherwise the staff is friendly and attentive. Housekeeping handled my requests immediately and parking was easy.

We stopped in 30 Sept 2025 after engaging a tour guide for a “3 hour tour”, He had so much to tell us, he took 4 hours! Very informative and yet, so much could be said about the battles fought here. The Museum film and Cyclorama painting exhibit cost $40 for two seniors to see. The Cyclorama visit is timed but you can take your time walking the Museum. We visited the gift shop also. Tons of historical books there, along with glassware, magnets, and tasteful knickknacks. Lots of seniors and few school trips at this time of year.

Visiting this place was a very meaningful experience for me. There is so much to explore & learn. The video that is shown at the beginning of the museum tour was very well done, & the diorama experience was indescribable. Highly recommend for anyone interested in U.S. history.

The diorama visit is about 15 minutes as well and is worthwhile. The museum is huge, you could spend all day there. The gift shop is great. We left with toy rifles for the boys to do their own reenactment of the battles. The cafe offers delicious options, my only recommendation is they should offer more table for seating. They only had about 4-5 tables and that was not enough.

Gettysburg is a phenomenal historical site with more to see than the majority of visitors can get to in a short time. Just my personal practical advice, if you only have one day to visit the battlefield and don't want to hire a licensed guide, then the NPS auto tour is more than adequate. It is well marked, makes 16 stops at all the major highlights, and the audio & video segments do a great job. If you are more of an enthusiast and have 2 (or more) days, I recommend Carol Reardon & Tom Vossler's A Field Guide to Gettysburg. It lays out and thoroughly explains 37 stops. Taking a kind of combo approach, drive the auto tour with the Field Guide in hand. You get the shorter 16 stops, but the Field Guide gives you more depth and information at each spot. Plan on 2 to 4 hours on the battlefield itself and bring along a picnic and plenty of water. There's a lot to think about on this sacred ground. It's hard to stand anywhere in this peaceful, beautiful landscape and imagine the tragic carnage that happened here. But it's almost a spiritual kind of experience to try.

The museum has expanded and there was a special exhibit area. The Cyclorama is now an experience that starts with a film. Information is provided, directional markers have been installed so tou know where you are on the battlefield. The gift shop is nice and the grounds are lovely. You can take a bus tour to visit monunents or take the self guided audio tour. I highly recommend it, so much history.

We went for the first time and we choose labor day to go. It actually wasn't that bad. We had no wait to get in. But some of the exhibits had a crowd before you could get to see it decently. We did not do any of the experiences or were we able to see the dolphins though we did try. They were being feed when we were there and we didn't wait long enough to see them. If you have anyone in your group that has mobility issues and needs to use elevators they do have them and they can fit wheelchairs plus a person or two. They are not near where the other entrance to the floor is for those that do not have mobility problems. I say this for those who have parties of mixed capabilities. There is one area that those who cannot do stairs can access and that is the birds area. There is a way for wheelchairs to go through the area but there is 2 platforms that you can't get to. The aquarium was nice and the employees we came across were all friendly. The are some rather large attractions and lots of smaller ones just like any other aquarium or zoo. They have an area with horseshoe crabs and jellyfish that you can touch the animals. We were hoping that there was an area you can feed manta rays of something like it but they did not. We got to see how they clean some of the tanks and some of the divers that we found out that all the divers are volunteers. The guy made a joke saying that they work for free bottled air. Some of the tanks look difficult to clean so I don't envy them. They some frogs and birds and some other animals. I was not expecting to see any other animals but I thought it was cool. There are some really good views of the harbor as well. They have a spot that you can sit and rest while looking at the harbor. All in all we will probably go back and definitely recommend.

It was nice... I have been to aquariums with more variety... this one seems almost local species. A few empty habitats... the Jellyfish invasion is not impressive if you have seen them in other aquariums... some tanks looked like they were sick... dolphin shows are no more but you can sit and watch them... they mostly hung out in the back though, until the helpers came out to feed. That was cool. I agree with the stopping the shows and loved seeing them play. The rainforest was okay too... a couple of birds here an there... mostly just plant life with a cool water fall. Escalator was broke on one floor of the 4 floor exhibit. I think they have an elevator, they were not to informative about it though. We never looked into the Australian terrarium... chose to leave and do other things.

Had a mommy son day and it was just what was needed! Everything was clean and in order, not too many people on a school day so it was nice. Not too many lines, the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. My 8 year old stated it was his best day in forever ❤️ Thanks! I bought the membership and its already paid off but I can see him having us there a LOT!

The design of this aquarium is very unique. I have visited many aquariums across the country. Like the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, the Long Beach Aquarium in CA, and the Mall of America’s Aquarium. We went on a Sunday so it was super busy but getting our tickets online was a smart move. The layout of this aquarium is pretty unique and it can be actually quite confusing. Thankfully we had a friend who has been to this one multiple times and knew his way around. I do like the open design to the main attraction and the escalators to next level. That was very unusual to see. There was one escalator that was out of service but they had the service door for the stair propped open and someone standing there to help guide. Also another interesting thing was the rotating doors. I have never seen them being used inside of a facility. It was kind of annoying as only one person could go through it at a time. The best thing was all the aquatic creatures that they have. Those were a joy to watch and we got to talk to a knowledgeable guide that was showing off a turtle skull. She was fun to talk with and knew her stuff about the animals in the aquarium. I would go back for sure.

The aquarium closes fairly early, so I didnt have quite enough time to get through the entire place. It was beautiful. It was well laid out. The dolphin training was a surprise to see, but it was so cool to see.

Went on my daughter's field trip with her and had a blast. I do wish they had given us maps because we ended up missing parts. Still very fun. Lots of amazing animals and the staff is wonderful.

I love this aquarium, it takes about 2-3 hours to see everything without rushing. They have touch tanks that are fun for everyone and a lot of awesome exhibits. There are places to get food and drinks which is nice as well. Parking is decent and right in front of the aquarium. I normally go on the weekends and the crowds are not too bad.

I fell in love with Oriole Park before even entering the stadium. Camden Yards has a friendly baseball vibe and wonderful atmosphere. The fans were respectful and pleasant. The stadium was clean and aesthetically appealing. The staff at this stadium were amazing. They went above and beyond to help fans with finding seats, concessions, and were patient with any questions or concerns. Everyone seemed happy to work at the stadium. I'm a Red Sox fan and I still felt welcomed in a visiting stadium. I enjoyed walking around the stadium both inside and out. They have some fun and vibrant sports bars outside the stadium as well. This is a must for any baseball fan. I will mention though that I was very disappointed that the stadium doesn't offer tours of the ballpark.

Oreo Park at Camden Yards is an absolutely beautiful ballpark! The seating is comfortable, the ushers are friendly and helpful, and the field itself is stunning. The views from just about anywhere in the park are fantastic, making it a great place to enjoy a game. That being said, the food and drink prices are way too high. It’s gotten to the point where it’s almost unaffordable for the average family, which really takes away from the experience. I’d gladly give this place five stars if the pricing was more reasonable.

Never disappointing coming to Oriole Park! I've attended games here since I was a kid. It's one of the best ballparks in baseball. Very family friendly and all-around friendly. It was fun attending on Jim Palmer jersey night this year. The concessions prices are still comparably cheap, too. I will live and die as an Orioles fan. You can't clip these wings, Yanks. Let's go, O's!

One of the best ball parks around. Gates open about 60 minutes prior to first pitch on Weekdays (a little earlier on weekends). Get there early to experience the whole park. It's worth it. Nice play area on the first base side for the kids. Concessions are pricey but they do let you bring some of your own items in so long as it is in a clear small bag (no glass or aluminum drink containers). I brought in two plastic 20 oz cokes, two sandwiches and some small bags of chips. Be sure to check their policies page carefully in case their are changes. I bought a beer at the game... was 15.99.

Really great stadium, not a bad seat in the house. Food is always great, Boogs is my personal favorite (they have gluten free buns if that’s something you’re looking for!) They also do free giveaways often so keep an eye out on the promotional schedule!

I’m biased, but this is the prettiest ballpark in the League. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The food options are plentiful. The ushers for games are knowledgeable and friendly and there is plenty of fan assistance as well. They continue to refresh and upgrade, keeping her looking beautiful.

Great night out for a baseball game! We had an injured person in our party and everyone was kind and accommodating! We were able to drop them off at the front and park nearby. Highly suggest purchasing the parking, it was well worth it. We got there early (2 hours ahead). We grabbed some great food at the crab cake stand. Crab sandwich and crab fries were very good. The crab shells were not good. It was a shell pasta stuffed with pasta, bartered and topped with hot honey. We didn’t care for it but everything was fine. It was a warm evening and I’m glad I brought a hand help fan. We had good seats section 29. It was a fun game and the fireworks show at the end was pretty good too. We got drinks and more snacks durning the game. I do wish they would add a few fans under the coverings to help move some air. That would be a great addition. Overall it was a great night out and we loved the venue. It was organized and easy to navigate with that large crowd.

The outdoor concert venue is terrible. Parking was $50 if you didn’t have a VIP card. Eight drink lines were 25 people deep, and the venue is poor at best. (Hot - limited air flow with concrete below your feet and overhead,, and Porta Potty restrooms.)

Never been to a casino before and I played blackjack. We had a very nice (and competent!) dealer and my friends and I have a great time. I was also happy to have found a slot machine with a lever to pull which was incredibly satisfying. I’ve heard the quality of dealers can vary, but I got *lucky* with mine, I suppose!

I didn't come for the Casino so I couldn't tell you about it, other than it looked nice inside from the outside. Instead My fiance and I went for a Glorilla Concert @ Level One. The concert experience is a whole other story, but as far as the venue goes. get your mind ready. When/if you see an advertisement for anything at "Level One" in Baltimore; just know that it's not a CLUB on the 1st floor. It's quite literally the parking lot. It wasn't dirty, and it's not like there was glass or anything on the ground, just....it was a parking lot; Didn't expect THAT.

Went to see GloRilla at Level One it was a good experience. Had VIP package so was able to drink until 9pm. Top shelf and the show was great

Went to casino specifically for Eric Benet concert in the Harbor Room. The Harbor Room was small and intimate with individual folding chairs which was convenient to reposition oneself for more room around them.

Single worst concert experience ever. Garage sound, 1 hour will call line, and unlit portapotties. Should not be allowed to have shows where the parking garage horns are playing in background.

I had heard from many people that this casino was not very good, but I didn’t believe it until today. Today, I finally got to experience the truth myself. I went to the cashier’s cage to play and cash out. There was a long line, and only one cashier was working. I stood in line patiently. After some time, a few more cashiers came, and the line started moving forward. When one cashier’s window became free, I went closer to her. But she treated me very disrespectfully. Without even asking anything properly, she spoke to me in a very rude and demeaning way. I was already standing in my line and moved forward only when the people ahead of me were done. She could have simply asked me to wait for a moment or told me politely that an ID was required. I understand that for transactions above a certain amount, ID verification is necessary, but the way she spoke to me was unacceptable. She firmly said, “I’m not giving you any money until you show me your ID,” in a very disrespectful tone.

Visiting the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis was a truly inspiring experience. The campus is absolutely stunning—historic buildings, immaculate grounds, and views of the Severn River that are hard to beat. Walking through the Yard, you get a real sense of tradition, honor, and service. The guided tour was excellent and gave great insight into the life of a midshipman, the Academy’s history, and its role in shaping Naval leaders. Highlights for me included the breathtaking chapel, the crypt of John Paul Jones, and the Naval Academy Museum with its incredible ship models and artifacts. I left with a deep appreciation for the commitment these young men and women make to serve our country. Annapolis itself is a great place to explore before or after your visit. Whether you're into history, military service, or just want to be inspired, the U.S. Naval Academy is absolutely worth your time.

It is beautiful to just walk most of it outside, but if you can - be sure to visit Bancroft Hall, the Chapel interior & John Paul Jones crypt, and the fantastic museum as well (just a stone’s throw from the chapel.) We frequent the USNA and never tire of it! Captains Row is just idyllic. Amazing!

We had the opportunity/honor to visit the United States Naval Academy in JUL_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about USA history and legacy. We did a plant tour and for sure it's a remarkable site. Definitely, it's a place that deserves my respect. It was a privilege.

The Naval Academy is definitely a place to visit if you’re in the Annapolis area. There are walking tours and bus tours but we decided to follow the map and do it on our on. The campus is beautiful and well kept. All the buildings are magnificent. The Academy Chapel is a must see while you’re there, simply gorgeous and then you can go underneath part of the chapel to visit John Paul Jones crypt which is breathtaking, honoring one of our true Naval heroes! The day we went was perfect, very little clouds and just a nice cool afternoon, not too warm. We visited June the 11th 2024. We even got to see the Navy football team practicing. You’ve got to go and walk the places where lots of Naval heroes got their beginning.

The newly renovated entrance is beautiful! We haven’t been in probably a decade, but it’s very well done and there is lots to see. Kids had a great time. Views are stunning.

Beautiful museum and campus of buildings make up the museum property. We did the patriot boat tour and museum combo. The boat tour is listed as a 70 min narrated historical tour, but it’s more commentary than history. It was a great time and the different buildings at the museum cater to all ages. There is not much to do in St Michael’s other than eat, shopping and boating, so happy we went.

We had heard this museum was a must see and it didn't disappoint. One fee for a two-day ticket that was not expensive. There is a lot of area to cover, so it was nice to know we could come back. We visited in October so it was not crowded. We spoke with a very friendly painter who had been working on one of the boat and he told us a bit more about the place. Plenty of self-guided areas and exhibits. We enjoyed the ship building work - it was interesting to see the process step as well as the volume of lumber stocked and waiting to be used. Beautiful views from the lighthouse. I enjoyed walking among and reading about the exhibit boats they had on display, each with a detailed history of ownership and uses over time. Amazing. The collection of outboards showed the changes over time - I can't imaging heading out into the sea with one of those old-timers even when it was brand new. Definitely worth the time and money.

I really enjoyed this museum and its emphasis on local maritime heritage - crabbing, oyster catching and boat building. I spent a couple of hours wandering around the various buildings and learned a lot.

We had a tour of the CBMM. All of the staff were accommodating, well knowledgeable of their surrounding area and its history. They're volunteers who made all of my passengers feel welcome.

THIS REVIEW WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. The park closes permanently in November. If you plan to go before it does, buy the standard ticket. I promise there is NO need to buy a fast pass of any kind as the park is mostly empty even on weekends. If you buy a single meal deal, there’s about a $4 cost savings if you order your meal and drink from Jonny Rockets ($28 regular and $24 with the meal deal ticket). My wife and I enjoyed the rides and the theme park, and we hope they build something similar there.

Pretty sad to see this place closing down. I surprisingly had a better time here than SFNE. I just thought that here, everything wasn't crammed into one little space like over there. Although, Six Flags New England has some nice buildings. Back to Six Flags America. It wasn't very crowded. On days where it's busy, the I'll expect the lines to be 2 hours each because these operations are BAD. There were only running one train on half of the coasters and it took them about 3 minutes to dispatch each train. They were only running on gondola on Voodoo Drop and it still took like 2 minutes. I hope their operations get better because this park is closing in less than a month. I did have a great time for my 4 hours there even though it rained (the reason why I only stayed there for 4 hours.) Come check this place out before closing on 11/2/25

I love this place! 🙃🥳My daughter & i will most certainly miss our home state amusement park. I been coming here since I was 9 in the "adventure world" to "wild world" days. I'm very sad to see Six Flags not invest in the park overall that much since 2000. However, what they added since are great flat ride additions. If it got its fair share of investment $ along the years since superman was added, I think it would still have survived the cutting board. What a shame😭 That being said, I hope everyone got their fun in by now. If not, this weekend will be the final hooray! I'm sure we'll be there getting our last kicks in, weather is looking good so far! ✌🏽😎

Despite the park closing permanently very soon, I had a great time here! All the Roller Coasters had no wait on a Sunday, and we got to ride them all a few times. Park was clean, and the shows were good. Operations were quite slow (granted it is closing soon, and no crowds) but still kind of annoying. All the roller coasters were quite fun, favorites being Superman: Ride Of Steel, Jokers Jinx, and Wild One.

I visited this park knowing about the coming closure in November. Overall, it was a good experience and I had some fun. The only downside to my experience was that three out of the eight roller coasters were closed that day. This is a big deal considering there aren’t that many to begin with. The crowds were not too bad and most of the coasters only ran one train. The park is nice and offers some cool places such as the new steam town. On the other hand, there are some areas that do not look well kept. The staff were friendly when running the rides. I would like to come back one day, however, because of the closure I would not return.

I know that this park is closing next month so I went one last time. I was disappointed that Superman: Ride of Steel, and Batwing was closed. I went on 6 rides and the wait time was 5 minutes or less. Ragin Cajun had a longer wait so I didn't go on that ride. I was going to ride Harley Quinn Spinsanity but they were having a problem getting the seat belts to lock so I got out of line. The rides that I went on were very rough. I didn't want to ride them again. I saw 3 shows and they were very good. It's sad that the park is closing but the roller-coasters need to be replaced.

My first time here was the last day the park was open. Kind of hard to believe they'd want to close that park. The grounds were clean, the staff was professional, I even saw a ride operator pick up a piece of trash off of the floor that a guest had dropped. Almost forgot it was a six flags park lol. It just feels like their corporate daddy is deciding to close the park because it's not a big money maker, but it's hard to believe it's losing them money. So much history and large part of people's lives and jobs gone because someone at the top wants to make a quick buck versus putting in the time and money to make it a truly great park. It's sad l and I hope this isn't a repeat of astroworld. Six flags just completed a merger last year with cedar fair so there's a bunch of parks that are close together. Closing this park was just getting rid of some "redundancy." I honestly expect to see more closings where there's another park close by over the next decade or so.

The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is an absolute must-visit in DC and it is free. The exhibits are incredible and there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into aviation history, space exploration, or just want to see real rockets, moon landers, and fighter jets up close. I loved how interactive and well-organized everything was. You can walk through the history of flight, see the Wright brothers’ early work, touch a piece of the moon, and check out modern NASA missions all in one place. The curation is top-notch and every display is thoughtfully done. Check out the IMAX theater inside. They play some really great 3D movies that are worth the experience, especially if you’re into space documentaries or science films. It adds a whole new layer to your visit. It can get a little crowded, especially on weekends, but totally worth it. Staff is friendly and the space is big enough to move around easily. Easily one of the highlights of my DC trip. Would go back to catch more shows and explore the rest.

Wow! What an amazing museum!!! We’ve visited it a few times over the years. Our whole family has always enjoyed it at all ages, little kids, teenagers, and adults alike. There’s hands-on activities for younger kids, and informative displays for adults. We watched a film display and the toddlers next to us found it just as engaging as we did. This museum really is truly great for all ages, and we have found it fascinating after each new visit. We spent 3 hours here, and didn’t even see every display. There’s so much to do and to look at. The staff were so friendly and well-informed. We really enjoyed chatting with them. I’m so happy that we were able to visit. My one piece of advice is to book the free timed-entry tickets as far in advance as possible so that you get the chance to enjoy this amazing experience!

Great museum! If you love aviation you will love this place! They have many airplanes from 747s to DC-3s to a wright flyer. They even have an x wing hanging from the roof! Tons of cool information, including about space flight and space craft. Only complaint is that part of the museum was closed for construction, but it's understandable because they have to renovate it at some point. Get tickets online in advance! Would highly recommend this place!

I went in late June and quite enjoyed my experience. If you are in the area, definitely visit. Unfortunately part of the museum was closed off and the lines were very long (but go incredibly fast). We love going to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History again and again. There is always so much to see, explore, and learn. One of the highlights for us was the African safari animals exhibit. The animals look so real that it feels like you're actually on a safari! It's exciting and fun for both kids and adults. Very nice museum, very friendly staff at the information desk at the entrance! The museum is well laid out, with something for everyone and beautifully presented. I also loved the opportunity to hold a giant grasshopper in my hand. It was a sad thing that the butterfly house was closed.

It's interesting to read that this memorial was designed after a "healing wound." I think the architect did a good job at bringing that vision to reality. After taking in the Lincoln Memorial, we headed back east and came upon the site which is just off the north side of the Pool. The arrow-shaped memorial wall of smooth, dark, reflective gabbro rock starts at ground level then slopes ever so gently into the earth until its midpoint, where it then gradually rises back up to ground level, with a ton of names engraved along the way. A memorial directory is posted nearby to aide in finding names. Look for a small podium near the entrances/exits. Simple, striking, and beautiful.

It is conveniently connected to other major sights on the National Mall and located very close to the Lincoln Memorial, making it easy to include in a day of exploring.

I found this memorial to be really cool on the evening that I went because they were doing an orange light awareness activity with lots of candles. I also really enjoy how you can see your image reflected in this memorial. If you are by the Lincoln memorial feel free to stop by this one as well!

There was a quiet reverence while walking through this area, it was deeply appreciated. I was there to find a name for my friend; her husband passed in Viet Nam. The volunteers were helpful and offered historical documentation about the Wall.

Years ago I watched a movie called In Country about a young girl searching for information about her father, who was killed in the Vietnam War. I recall the movie as being average at best, but in the final scene, they film real people at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. It was so moving and difficult to watch I had tears flowing and could not stop. I could also hear several other people in the audience with the same reaction and when the show ended, I just stayed seated for the longest time and thankfully, my wife quietly sat there with me. Just to be clear, I’m too young to have fought in Vietnam but for some reason, it’s something that has been a part of my life since I was a kid. And so when I finally got to visit this amazing place after all these years, I took plenty of time to take it all in. This is a beautiful monument and it’s definitely worth seeing but at the same time, it was so jarring to see how amazing the monument to the Korean War and WWII were. Obviously a must see if you're visiting DC! I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty crowded but people were being very respectful and waiting for others to finish to take their pictures. When you get to the top you can see all the way down the National Mall which is great. Unfortunately the bookstore was closed due to the government shutdown, but still fun to check out!

A great place to honor our former president. You will never understand how big it is until to get to the bottom. The best time to visit is close to sunset when the sky is pretty and you can see the full reflection of the Washington monument with amazing colors in the sky. The addition of the ramp although blocks the view from the front, is a good addition for those with strollers.

The Lincoln Memorial is stunning especially at sunset. I didn’t realize how close all the monuments were to each other until I visited; everything is just a short, scenic walk away. As I made my way from the Thomas Jefferson or Washington Memorial to the Lincoln, I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever experienced. The way the light hit the reflecting pool and the memorial itself was just perfect peaceful, powerful, and unforgettable.

What a wonderful experience it was to have visited this truly historical place and to learn about one of the greatest presidents of our time. Reading and Gettysburg address was like stepping back in time and in my opinion is the best speech every written. Please note that there is a lot of walking if you visit Washington DC so really good walking shoes are a must.

The Lincoln Memorial is one of Washington, D.C.’s most recognized landmarks, honoring Abraham Lincoln with an impressive structure at the end of the National Mall. It can be crowded during peak hours, but the space remains respectful and accessible, offering good opportunities to take in the views and history.

Mount Vernon earned its name due to its association with United States President George Washington. He lived in various times at this estate. It is basically an agriculture estate on a raised bank of Potomac River. The estate has a nice two storied building where George Washington lived with his family members. There is vast green all around. The property also has the tomb of George Washington. It can be a nice weekend tour. The facility has a museum to exhibit George Washington's stuffs like furniture, crockery, wardrobe etc. The museum and all other facilities are well designed, well maintained, and masterly curated. There are volunteers everywhere. There are guides, narrators, audio visual shows. There are adequate facilities for people with special needs. One needs to walk 2-3 miles at least to see all the exhibits.

My visit to Mount Vernon was truly inspiring 🇺🇸 I loved every part of it — the insightful exhibitions, the beautifully preserved estate, and especially the passionate guides who brought George Washington’s story to life. Walking through the house and gardens felt like stepping back in time. The attention to detail and the way history is shared here make it one of the most memorable visits I’ve had in the U.S. A place full of meaning, learning, and respect for the past. Highly recommended!

First and foremost I would like to thank the staff at the lost and found, someone recovered my necklace and returned it to lost and found and the staff here did everything they could after my girlfriend contacted them via email to ship the item back to me in a quick and timely matter and I really appreciate the staff here for that. Now this was an extremely amazing experience to see George Washington’s home and farm and to learn about his family and life and the slaves that he had working on the farm and seeing his tomb and seeing how beautiful his garden is and Maintained really well by the staff who works here. If you are in the area I would recommend visiting this place, the staff here are very friendly, helpful and it’s obvious they love their job.

We really enjoyed visiting here with our kids (ages 3 & 6). We’ve studied Washington with our schooling and seeing his favorite place really brought history alive. There’s something really amazing about standing on the back porch at Mt Vernon and enjoying the same view he loved standing where he probably stood. Even though the house tour is limited currently it was still worth doing and we highly recommend going. Learning about the way the house was built and how he worked the land was fascinating. Seeing his tomb was special. We went at the end of day and actually saw it with minimal people present. The guides were all helpful and very kind. We quickly visited the other burial grounds for the enslaved people as it was closing time. We appreciated that we could and they weren’t rushing us out.

A wonderfully presented piece of early US history. Although there are main house renovation works going on, it did not spoil the visit to this glorious spot. The volunteers - who are everywhere - keep you well informed of history and everything George Washington. Great food court, museum and shopping before you drive away.

This facility was an agricultural estate adjacent to the Potomac River. The main building was under renovation at this time. They provided you with virtual tour of the main residential building at the beginning. The property has the tomb of George Washington. The staff were friendly and informative. They kept the facility in a beautiful condition. You can access the audio tour through their QR code. The facility does required quite a bit of walking if you are interested in seeing all the landmarks.

We had a meeting scheduled with President Washington. His secretary promised he’d spare at least five minutes to talk with us. Instead, we ended up strolling around his estate at Mount Vernon for four hours. His staff were kind enough to show us around, but the man himself was too busy to meet us. No worries, we’ll definitely come again.

Perfect place to visit! Admission is free, and parking is only $15, which is very reasonable for what you get to experience. The museum has an incredible selection of aircraft and helicopters on display, including the legendary Blackbird, the historic Kitty Hawk, the unique Oblique Wing research aircraft, and even the iconic Concorde. Each exhibit is well-presented, and you can get up close to the planes, making it both educational and exciting. There are also plenty of interactive displays and informative signs that explain the history and technology behind each aircraft, which makes it engaging for both kids and adults. One of the highlights is the observation area, where you can sit and watch planes taking off and landing—it’s such a fascinating experience, especially for aviation enthusiasts. The museum is well-maintained, clean, and easy to navigate, with friendly staff available to answer questions. It’s a great place for families, history buffs, and anyone curious about flight. You can easily spend a few hours here exploring everything. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

What a cool place. I've been to the National Air and Space museum in DC, but it has been a while. Just recently found out about this place and I just assumed it wouldn't be at quite the same level as the one in DC. I was wrong. It has a great selection of planes, jets, and other aircraft organized by ear. Several nice practical learning activities too. All of this without the hassle of getting around in downtown DC. My only complaint is that I wish they had some aircraft that were accessible. We recently visited a very small regional airport with a museum and were able to board and explore nearly all of their planes. I definitely recommend a visit!

This is a must see for any air or space enthusiasts. It’s about an hours by subway and bus from downtown DC - but well worth the trip. Walk right up to the Space Shuttle and an SR71 and hundred of other planes. We had an incredible 87 year old docent named Joe who gave us a free 2 hour tour. Joe brought personal experiences and detailed knowledge to all the planes and exhibits. Amazing.

One of the finest Aviation museums out there. Many one of a kind surviving airframes. The WW2 collection is impressive including many important German Airplanes which are top notch restored. Whenever I fly out of Dulles International I make sure to spend my time in this Museum. Admission is free, parking for 15$ with plenty of parking space available. Will continue to visit, the exhibition is changing regularly.

Amazing place to be even-though it’s not easy to reach there from the city. For those who have passion to fly or love planes, here is the place to be. Of course also for the ones who wanna know the history. There’s a free tour. The gentlemen will share their knowledge with the public. Wonderful!

Definitely one of the coolest museums that the DMV has to offer. Not as accessible to tourists because of its distance from downtown, but should definitely be on the short list for anyone visiting with a car. Parking will run you $15 and the museum itself is free. Even if you move relatively quickly, you'll find yourself here for about 3 hours. If you want to actually read a decent chunk of the plaques, you will easily find yourself here for 4+ hours. I recommend getting there first thing in the morning and heading straight to the space shuttle before the bulk of the crowd sets in.

Absolutely fantastic! The sheer size and scale of the museum can't be fully appreciated through a camera lens. Many iconic aircraft from TV and movies are on display in full scale—most notably the SR-71, Enola Gay, and the space shuttle Challenger. Admission is free, with a $15 parking fee that's well worth it.

A fantastic museum, organized chronologically through major conflicts. The exhibits feature everything from small arms to armored vehicles and aircraft, with vivid dioramas depicting Marines in action. The layout is well thought out and honors the service members who sacrificed their lives in each conflict. Knowledgeable volunteers are present in each area to provide detailed explanations. Truly enjoyed the visit.

This was a fantastic museum. We were told it would take about 1.5 hrs but we took 3 hrs & we still missed things. As we walked in we were talking to a guy who was a volunteer there so he ended up walking with us & giving us lots of information. We had an amazing visit.

This has been one of the most impressive museums I've ever seen. The interior design, the organization of the exhibits, and the architecture of the building itself are simply marvelous. From the moment you enter, the staff is incredibly friendly, and in each area, there are well-trained personnel who explain things or answer any questions you may have. I spent two hours exploring the exhibits and left completely amazed. I have to go back with family and friends to experience it again.

The Marine Corps Museum is beyond awesome! AND IT'S FREE...if it is not THE best museum that I've ever been to, it's at least tied. It feels like you are almost in a theme park. I strongly suggest planning to spend hours there...I wish we had planned on two half days because there is so much there that it is simply overwhelming. I highly recommend that all go that have a chance -- and whoever gave this less than 5 Stars is...

This place is filled with education and dedication! Definitely plan to be there at least 2 to 3 hours to see everything. The layout is perfect and you easily move from one section to another. Highly recommend checking this place out, it's free to get in!

This was probably one of the best museums we have been to and we've been to a lot. The kiddos loved it too with all the displays, hands-on activities, and play area. We also ate at Tun Tavern which was delicious! Overall it was a phenomenal experience!!!

As a Marine, visiting the National Museum of the Marine Corps was nothing short of incredible. The moment you walk in, the design of the building and the atmosphere make it clear that this is more than just a museum—it’s a tribute to our history, our sacrifices, and our brotherhood. The exhibits bring Marine Corps history to life in a way that words alone can’t capture. From the Revolutionary War to the modern-day fight, each gallery is immersive, detailed, and respectful of the Marines who served in those eras. The attention to detail in the uniforms, weapons, and recreated environments made me feel like I was stepping back in time. What stood out most to me was how the museum honors every generation of Marines. It’s not just facts on a wall—it’s stories, images, and artifacts that remind you of the legacy you’re part of. Walking through, I felt a deep sense of pride, respect, and connection to those who came before me. If you’re a Marine, a veteran, or someone who simply wants to understand the heart of the Corps, this is a must-visit. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. Semper Fidelis.

Very Nice place to take the little ones. Clean, and Fun. Extremely Over Priced for Food, and Drinks. I recommend bringing a cooler with food, and drinks in it. You can exit the park, and eat at the picnic tables near your car, then go back into the park when you are done eating. We bought a Large Cup at the gift shop, and then paid another $8.00 to fill up at any drink station around the park. The cup was $25.00. Crazy prices. The games to win a stuffed animal is 15.00, or 20.00, for 3 chances to win. Again, WAY Over Priced. The Rides are Amazing, and it is a Fun time for you, and your family, but bring Lots of Money. Oh, and they do NOT Accept cash in the park anywhere. You have to purchase a card, and load it with your money, to purchase things inside the park. I did not like that. Have Fun.

This place is so nice. So much shade. There aren't any of those blacktop pathways which is good. The rides are great. I didn't get to go up the Eiffel Tower. But I've heard that the views are great form up there. I would definitely visit this place again whenever I get the chance to.

Great place for kids and thrill seekers. Good roller coasters and some rides like Delirium and Drop Tower, that will have your stomach in the back of your throat! Twisted Timbers is a newer wooden coaster, but is smooth, fast, and is a decent length for the time spent waiting in line to board the ride. Their are rides for younger children in their Snoopy Land section of the park. I visited most recently during their Halloween Haunt and walked through few of the mazes. The people they have acting the parts of the spooky/creepy/scary characters were pretty good. Though having a rather intuitive nature, those types of mazes generally don't surprise me, I did see a good number of guests being taken off guard and scared. One disappointment of this visit was the Dominator, roller coaster. Not because it wasn't fun or thrilling, but because it was closed for repairs/maintenance every time we tried riding it(both on Friday and Saturday) The real disappointment was on Saturday after waiting in line for an hour to ride that particular roller coaster and having the ride closed as soon as we were sitting in the car strapped in and ready to ride! One other roller coaster, Racer 75, was also delayed as we were waiting in the staging area, after waiting in line to ride.

I haven't been to KD in over 10 yrs but I took ny teenage daughter ans some friends to Haunt.. I brought a No Boo Light for me but it was kind of scarey. We arrived at 8 and left when the park closed. The kids had so much fun that they wanted to go back on Sunday🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️. I can for see we will definitely be utilizing our season passes alot in the upcoming year.

We bought all day tickets and we mainly went for the haunt, but there really wasn’t too much scary they did still have the rides going at night time. The haunt didn’t start till 7 o’clock I believe it was. The food and drinks are very expensive outrageously expensive. I usually don’t say stuff like that but it’s best to buy season passes. If you go get the best ones that you can get to where you get food all day and drinks every 90 minutes plus pictures on rides that do take pictures that’s the best deal

Soooooo much fun! The haunts were clever, the atmosphere was cool. Drinks and food readily available with gluten free options all over the park. The rides were fantastic and the shows were exceptional, well practiced and timed.

First time going to an amusement park and it was definitely worth it. I had so much fun especially on the roller coasters and the wave pool. Depending on the rides, the lines weren't too crazy for some of them. Get a yearly pass is a great option, especially if u live close by because there is so much to do that you'll need more than 1 day to complete. Will definitely come back again for the rides I didn't have time to do😁

This was a really impressive place to visit but don't expect to learn much about the president. There was a lot about the house and his wife but they didn't not talk a lot about the man as President or otherwise. I left not having a feeling of the man. You get a some dates and facts but you don't get a since of the man like you do when you visit Monticello and Mount Vernon. They do have one of the best exhibits on the enslaved community subjugated there. One thing that did become clear during the visit was that Madison's wife Dolly and her son were garbage human beings that destroyed families to maintain her own lifestyle and even allowed herself to be excommunicated from her own religion to gain the wealth and comforts slavery gave her. Her son was a degenerate gambler, drunkard and womanizer and she lived above her means driving her family into crippling debt to host and entain people. I should clarify that I found the grounds impressive the inside of the home and the tour was less so. Our guide was fine and did a good job but we just didn't have enough time on the tour to see everything and ask all the questions we wanted to. If you want a really intimate tour visit his birth place at the Belle Grove Plantation. The place is not as expansive but can a more intimate experience. That plantation is also a working bed and breakfast so you can stay there but it's haunted so beware.

Outstanding house tour with extremely knowledgeable staff. This was one of the best tours I've been on, and memorable for all ages. To complement the tour, the extensive recommended reading available at the adjacent gift shop is worth a look, even if to just browse. Highly recommend this site as a key one to reflect on Virginia and US history.

I visited Montpelier with my sister on a Sunday. We arrived at 10:15 and participated in the 10:30 tour, which was very enjoyable and informative. We toured the basement exhibits and the garden on our own. We packed our own lunches, but there’s also a modest cafe next to the gift shop. We briefly toured the DuPont Art Gallery. There’s a lot to see. We spent about three hours touring the property.

This is a must see if you are interested in our country's founding. It is in his house where the US Constitution and the later Bill of Rights were originated. The house tour was indepth and very informative. I disagree with the reviewer who said there was too much focus on the slave population. Inside the house the focus was heavily on James and Dolly, but you can't interpret the house and how it works without talking about the other residents who served the Madison's in that home, and it was a very small part of our guide's comments. The basement exhibit on the enslaved people is powerful and should not be missed. The video presentation may move you to tears. Keep in mind there are two parts in the basement and they are not connected. Monticello could learn a bit about how to handle their interpretation of the enslaved Sally Hemings and the others who lives there. The gardens are nice and the views are excellent. This is place is well worth your time.

If you love history, good food, and ghost tours this is the place to be. You will enjoy being taken back in time when house drawn carriages and folks wearing colonial attire pass by and offer up a good day. The town and restaurants can be busy so plan ahead. Be sure to walk around there William and Mary campus to see this beautiful campus. Tips: make sure to visit the Visitor's Center for tickets, information, shows, and shuttles to Colonial Williamsburg. Buy tickets in advance in order to see inside the different homes, shops, and business. Buy ghost tour tickets before hand and be sure to wear good shoes. Be sure to visit the shops, restaurants, and colonial homes along the Duke of Glouchester Street. Paid parking kids can be finie nearby and within walking distance. The cobblestone walkways can be challenging so wear good shoes.

Had a great time here with the kids. We were able to easily buy tickets ahead of time, and were able to show the tickets from my phone to get into places. Everyone there was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The tours of the buildings were interesting, educational, and fun. Lots of places with bathrooms, snacks, and drinks. Options for a full meal as well. We spent about 5 hours here.

Life changing trip! Went for a whole week in the end of September and already planning the next trip. Don’t skip the palace or the art museum! Stay curious, take your time and be sure to go around every corner and in every open shop. The actors are amazing, the stories are so interesting, asking questions is celebrated and there is so much to explore and experience. Also, the shuttle is so convenient!

Came with a group tour off of a cruise ship. If you come with a pre arranged tour the day ticket is a sticker for your clothes. Mine didn't stay on and some of the exhibits they would not let you in unless you gave the ticket. I had to go to the onsite ticket office to get it replaced so I could go into the governors mansion etc. GET THE NAME OF THE TOUR COMPANY THAT BOUGHT YOUR TICKETS! It is not the cruise ship but who they contracted with. Also we were there off season, so the place was empty

Long overdue for this review. My wife and I stayed here on the last leg of our honeymoon and I will say this. From the time you enter until the time you leave, everyone here made us feel loved and made sure our stay was the best that it could have been. Coffee at the front desk went above and beyond and helped us out during our stay. The food was amazing in the restaurants that they have on site. It was honesty the perfect end to our honeymoon. We will be back in the future.

The largest outdoor living museum in the USA. A great place to visit whether it’s with the family or a significant other. Everything is very walkable and the aesthetic of the area is beautiful. I highly recommend staying at the Williamsburg Inn.

Busch Gardens is great. I think parking and food are a bit pricey but it's a theme park, so that is kind of expected. I like all the coasters, but Alpinegiest and Verbolten are my favorites. Pantheon can be unreliable, so expect it not to be running all day. It's about a 2.5 mile circle, with moderate hills, so make sure to have comfortable shoes. There are a few animal exhibits and a couple shows; some seasonal, some run throughout the year, such as Celtic Fyre, which has won some awards. Wait times vary, sometimes they can be up to a hour on busy days, but on an average weekday during the summer, wait times can be less than 10 minutes. Especially when Water Country is in full swing. They do have all day dining options that allow you to get food every 90 minutes. If you time it, it's worth it. There are also a small, Sesame Street themed children's area.

I had a great time yesterday at Busch Gardens. I was there from 1pm until 10pm. Christmastown is absolutely gorgeous! I was disappointed that the top roller-coasters were closed. The lines for other rides were very long and I wished that I had a skip the line pass. It was sunny and 65 degrees. I only got to see the Festhaus show and it was good. Next year I hope to go to Christmastown a few times so I can see all of the entertainment.

Went with our kids and Grandkids today, October 18th 2025 for the first time in our Grandkids life's !!! They have been there three (3) times over the summer with our kids, their parents. Busch Gardens goes back to my childhood !! My father was in Broadcast Television as the president of the CBS Affiliate TV Station in Roanoke, VA !! I was there on the first day of its opening, and my sister and I rode the "Loch Ness Monster" in the first two (2) hours of opening !! It is truly the Most beautiful park in the Country. Has the best rides, nicest staff through the years, and a Must Go to Theme Park !!! So now the tradition moves on to the Grandkids and they truly, truly, truly love it and had a great time today !! They were talking about it as they went to bed. Telling their funnest moments and what they are going to do the next day !! They love The kids areas. The Dragon tree house, "Grouch's Worm ride" and "The Big Bad Wolf": "The Wolf's Revenge !!" And the "Loch Ness Monster". Our Kids Love "Pantheon", "Griffon", "Tempesto", and the all time Fav of our kids and My wife and I is "Apollo's Chariot" !! A Great time is always had here !! Get Season passes, and if you can the Skip the Line with "Quick Queue". If not do the food, it's worth it. You need to go and enjoy all the NEW rides for 2025. Now it's Howl-O-Scream, our Kids are there and I know are having a great time. I also see where it's open at Christmas now too. Excellent !!

It was my first time at Christmas town at Bush Garden. My friend invited me. We had so much fun to hot chocolate to matching Christmas earrings. She took me around to all her favorites. She really maded my day. I definitely will be back again soon.

This park is beautiful. It’s one of my favorite parks to go to and there are so many reasons why. First of all, Fridays are surprisingly much slower days so I’d recommend going on a Friday and the park is pretty big so wear some comfy shoes. The park is very convenient when it comes to loose articles and it has lots of shade so waiting in queues won’t feel like hell. This park has a European theme to it and they did it very well. The theme and atmosphere of the park is seriously underrated and the rollercoasters there refuse to miss. I’ve gone a number of times and it just seems to get better every time. There’s so much to do at the park and you never get bored. The food is great too but it is gonna still be pretty expensive (but that should be expected at most corporate theme parks). This park in Williamsburg is a must do when you’re in the area as it offers something for babies, kids, teens, adults, and even grandmas. Even if you don’t like rides all that much there’s still a lot of things to do there like catching a show or trying some new foods that are unique in every section of the park. Overall, this park has infinite possibilities with a beautiful atmosphere and an even better ride lineup that has something for everyone from thrill seekers to first timers. 9/10

What a beautiful park! So many big coasters to ride! I loved feeding the lorikeets! And we paid to feed “Poppy” the highland cow. We loved it!! This park is beautiful and well kept. It’s a lot of walking so be prepared. I wish we would have planned two days at this park. We had a coaster pass so that was helpful. Bummed the biggest coaster here was not running.

Busch Gardens is a beautiful theme park, however you will walk. If you have directional challenges, be ready to ask the park workers which I had to do numerous times 😂. The great thing is that every attendant knew the park like the back of their hands. Our party ate at Trappers (which is my go to when I visit BG@W). The Rhine River cruise in my opinion is always delightful. I would give 4 stars, except for the fact, 1. the wait time for rides is long (which we knew would be the case), but the ride times are extremely short compared to the wait. There was a point, when one of the rides was over, the look on people's faces seemed to say, "This is it?" BG@W only takes certain payment, so if you use a digital wallet, you'll need to know your pin number. Kiosks are available to convert cash to a Visa prepaid credit card. Like any other theme park, souvenirs, food, etc. are pricey, so make sure to plan accordingly. Overall, BG@W is a beautiful, clean, scenic fun family spot, with helpful, courteous attendants.

Visiting Historic Jamestowne was such an incredible experience! Walking the grounds where America’s first permanent English settlement began truly felt like stepping back in time. The mix of history, archeology, and storytelling makes it both educational and inspiring. The exhibits and artifacts bring the past to life, and the staff/volunteers are so knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history. It’s amazing to see history being uncovered right before your eyes! Whether you’re a history buff or just curious, Historic Jamestowne is a must-see. We left with a whole new appreciation for the roots of our nation. 🇺🇸

We enjoyed everything about this area. The Powhatan village is interesting because it let's us see how they may have lived during this time. The ships are cool. One of the ship captains actually had a pair of prescription glasses made to look like what would have been worn during that period. The settlement area was great with live features like the blacksmith, cooking, setting and musket firing. Absolutely loved the museum! It's informative and well designed.

I give it a 4 star because you don't know that if you want to view old Jamestown (Jamestown Rediscovery, $15 per adult) you have to also purchase the park pass which is also $15 because you have to walk slightly through the park to get to it. They should just say $30 per adult and separate it in the system automatically (2 different entities are being paid). Now that's out of the way. Family had a great time, daughter enjoyed learning Halberds with Captain Brewster. The dig sites were neat to learn about. Ren was our archeological tour guide and seemed to have recited everything I read in the museum verbatim, she knows the timeline well, was friendly along with the rest of the staff, and had a good speaking voice for large outdoor crowds. The history of the place is awesome to learn about. We then went to the main museum and was awed by the size and the technology they put in this museum, better looking than the Smithsonian! Past the main museum is more historical replica outdoor buildings with staff dressed in the time period and showing people how different things were made during that time. There was also a musket rifle firing demo, which is loud. We also looked at the 2 ships at the end of the walk on the pier, which were also well maintained and fun to explore. We did not do the glass blowing house, but will go back and do it again.

This is an amazing place! This is a place in a place in a place. If you come here this gets a little pricey. Jamestown is broken into 3 pieces, there’s the more touristy Jamestown that’s not in the original spot, there’s the actual Jamestown where they are doing archaeological digs and have the original church and where you can see actual artifacts found from the digs, and then finally there is New Jamestown which is from the 1700s and is just ruins. Be prepared to do a lot of walking! It’s beautiful and educational but not for someone who can’t do a lot of walking. This will also take a lot of time, maybe 5 hours or more to do all 3 places. There’s parking at Jamestown museum and then at original Jamestown. All three places you have to pay. I didn’t mind paying for Jamestown museum ($20 a person) and the Original Jamestown ($15 a person). I was annoyed about paying for New Jamestown ($15 a person). You have to pay for new Jamestown and Original Jamestown together. $50 for all of it was a bit much. The only reason I’m ok with it because it helps fund the projects on the 2 sites.

Such a great experience! We saw many historic places as well as a lot of nature! There’s plenty to see so come early! Make sure you took your national parks card if you have one!

This was our first time to Historic Jamestowne. Since we are able, we went ahead and bought the lifetime NPS annual pass, which is valid for admission at all US National Parks. We actually visited two days in a row, the first time to go through the brick and mortar museum and the second day to tour the grounds. Please be aware that there are two sites, the "Old Towne" is owned by the state of Virginia, and the "New Towne" is owned by the National Park Service. Both require separate admission fees. The museum buildings and grounds are well maintained. The museum also has a nice 15-minute overview movie of the origins of the site, including artifact displays. What's interesting is that all of the Native American artifacts have been removed from the exhibits. The walking tour is self-guided. Guided tours are available for an extra cost. Our only mistake was going on one of the hottest days of late June, temps in the upper 90s. The museum has site maps available. However, there are enough placards throughout detailing people and events. Don't expect to see any buildings or recreations that's over at the "Old Towne." The only standing structure is what's left of the Ambler House. Otherwise, you'll only see the foundations for over a dozen structures. With a bit of imagination, one can visualize what it may have been like at the settlement over 400 years ago. We accomplished the walking portion in 30 minutes. If you have time, please take the driving tour on Island Drive. From the NPS Museum, simply take a right out of the parking lot. It's well worth it if you enjoy nature. There's also the 1608 Glasshouse that's available to tour. Check before you visit for times as they have live glass blowing demonstrations. Enjoy!

You just cannot put a value on our historic places. Everyone should see tour the Historic Triangle. We had a great time. We went off peak season so it was very peaceful without being extremely busy. A lot of this is outdoors so prepare accordingly. So worth it!!

If you live near Washington, D.C. and have already explored all the Smithsonian museums, and you're looking to venture a bit farther, this place is worth the trip. It’s not huge, but it offers a thoughtfully curated collection — and best of all, it’s open year-round and completely free. The surrounding scenery is also beautiful, making it a perfect getaway for those who want a peaceful break from the everyday hustle. The current Frida Kahlo exhibition didn’t quite meet my expectations, as it features more writing than artwork, but it’s still worth a visit. This is a museum where you can enjoy the playfulness of surrealism and discover the hidden modernity within ancient art.

There are a lot of great works of art! More Egyptian items than I have seen other places. That was very neat to see. The Faberge eggs were very interesting. I really enjoyed the section with the black walls and the lighting on the paintings. That really made them pop! We also enjoyed the giant paintings!

Wedding Venue: We had an amazing experience planning and hosting our wedding at the VMFA!!! Beth was awesome to work with through the planning process, and wedding weekend. She was kind, helpful, professional, responsive, and we had full confidence in her executing our event! She helped provide all the critical info up front, answered all our questions through the process, provided guidance, vendor suggestions (DJ was amazing), helped coordinate details for some of the other vendors, and overall was a calming presence that put us at ease. The wedding logistics were executed flawlessly, and it was such a nice feeling to be able to have full confidence in Beth and the staff, and truly be able to enjoy the day/evening. The venue itself (Amuse & Claiborne) was perfect, and our guests were raving about it - they enjoyed the different rooms to talk and dance, and enjoyed the patios. The food was incredible (especially the mac and cheese!), we loved having so many options as a part of the station dinner, and guests really liked having the food out all evening. The bar never had a line, everything was efficient, and guest enjoyed the selection. Most importantly, we and our guests noticed and appreciated how every staff member we interacted with was so nice, helpful, and were just a positive addition to our evening. Lastly, we loved all the different outdoor options for pictures, including a private first look in the front of the building. The grounds are so beautiful! I visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and absolutely loved it! The Frida Kahlo exhibition was incredible, so inspiring and beautifully curated. The museum itself is spacious and elegant, with a great atmosphere for art lovers. I really enjoyed spending time there, and I’d love to go back to explore more of their collections!

I had a fabulous time at the Frida exhibit back in October. It was amazing. I got to see pictures I've never seen before. I have seen a Frida exhibit before. This was My first time at the Virginia museum. It was amazing. It's a beautiful museum. The sculpture outside. I really enjoyed it. I didn't get a chance to see the rest of the museum because I spent most of my time looking at the Frida stuff and buying books and looking at all the stuff to buy.

This museum is both active and peaceful between the inside and the outside. It's a go-to for me. This is fantastic place with an incredible collection, whether you're into art or you're just checking it out for the first time.

It was really nice, quiet garden to walk, hang out place. You can picnic or just lay down and take nap! I went here with my husband. We walk to the down to see Japanese garden and Italian garden. We saw a lot of squirrels and deers. It was amazing. I love nature and i like the way they take care of this place except bamboos. Please, take good care of those bamboos! Bamboos symbolize very good fortune. The park/garden was not dog friendly unfortunately. That is why I gave only 3 stars just because bamboos (one of my favorite plant) and I couldn’t bring my well behave dog. I would still recommend this place, family friendly, stuff were friendly. It is also nice date idea. It is a romantic place. Oh, there is a parking lot.

Free, lots of free parking. The mansion is closed under renovation/construction but still had a great time walking around the Japanese and Italian garden. Didn't manage to walk the entire park butvwhat we did was beautiful. Went end of October and still had lots of beautiful colorful flowers. I recommend taking water and snacks.

I’ve been to this place during the day with my kids, and it is absolutely fantastic. It has a huge green meadow, beautiful Japanese gardens, and plenty of deer to watch. Everything is incredibly scenic and peaceful — a perfect way to spend time with kids and family. They also have a great play area, some cool animals, and lots of photogenic spots. I definitely recommend visiting! During the fall, they host a “Glow Night,” which was really awesome and such a fun experience.

Me and a friend stopped here to stretch our legs. Beautiful property. The Italian and Japanese gardens were very pretty. It is hilly so it may be challenging for some. Especially since some of the paths are under construction.

Maymont is a beautiful Park located in Richmond. They have beautiful gardens to walk in. They have lots of animals to pet and feed. The fee is free to get in. They have the garden Glow going on right now. It takes about 90 minutes to walk through the whole thing. We love maymont and we come here about once a month. You can never appreciate the beauty of it enough.

We only went for the Garden Glow experience and arrived pretty late in the night. It was a bit chilly around halloween, but we bundled up and had a great time. The Japanese Garden is a must see experience, I wish we had more time here. We did the hike and unless you have limitations with walking I would suggest it over taking the tram. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the money we spent on it.

Maymont is a must see Richmond landmark and shouldn't be missed. It has beautiful and unique formal gardens, an animal farm, a historic home, a nature center and so much more. Years ago I attended a wedding at the Italian Gardens and it was a beautiful ceremony. The Italian Gardens are right behind the historic mansion. In front of the mansion is a grouping of the most amazing trees that my children loved having a picnic under. Maymont has benches set up under these trees. The fact that admission is free to all of the grounds and the farm area is amazing and quite the gift to Richmond. I hope people appreciate how unique and special this is. Highly recommend this special gem of a place.

Always a fun time visiting here no matter the season. This time i went in September. Admission is free. Parking is not, but it’s cheap. There is a parking lot with walk access to the gardens. Lots of areas to have a picnic or read a book ans relax. While youre free, you can also explore the duke campus, have coffee and see the chapel.

Today evening I visited Duke University Gardens in Durham, and it was such a peaceful and beautiful experience! 🌸 I began at the Terrace Gardens, surrounded by colorful flowers and stunning views. Then I wandered into the Asian Arboretum, where tall bamboo, calm ponds, and stone lanterns created a serene atmosphere. The red wooden bridge over the pond was absolutely charming — a perfect spot for photos and quiet reflection. I also explored the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants, which highlights North Carolina’s unique and wild beauty. Every corner of the gardens felt magical, from the sound of water to the sight of butterflies and koi fish. If you’re in Durham, don’t miss a visit to Duke Gardens — it’s a little piece of paradise right in the city! 🌿✨

Beautiful gardens to explore with a walk. You can spend 30 minutes or 3 hours. Lots of main paths and smaller paths that take you through the entire area. You can bring a stroller but some parts are tough to navigate. A few entrance gates around the perimeter. You can easily walk to the main campus from here.

My visit from noon to around 3 PM during spring was a floral delight! This 55-acre botanical gem in Durham, NC, is a must-see, especially when spring transforms it into a vibrant paradise. The cherry blossom corridor was the highlight, with its stunning rows of trees in full bloom, their soft pink petals forming a dreamy canopy. However, arriving at noon meant we hit peak crowd time, and the corridor was incredibly busy! Photographers, families, and flower lovers packed the path, making it hard to find a quiet moment or take clear photos. It felt more like a festival than a tranquil stroll at times. Fortunately, other cherry trees in areas like the Asian-inspired section offered a slightly less crowded chance to enjoy the blossoms, with equally lovely bursts of pink. The floral diversity was stunning. The historic terraces bloomed with tulips, daffodils, and camellias, while the native plant garden showcased over 900 species, including quirky carnivorous plants that caught my eye. The discovery garden and white garden added more variety with water lilies and organic vegetables. It’s a plant lover’s paradise, and I enjoyed studying the blooms with clear signs and an online bloom guide to navigate. Exploring was a joy, with 5 miles of paths winding through themed sections like the Asian arboretum and a peaceful pond. The Italianate terraces and central fountain were perfect for a pause, and the paths were accessible for strollers or those with mobility needs. Hidden gems like a zigzag bridge added a sense of adventure during our three-hour visit. The main drawback, beyond the packed cherry corridor, was the lack of food options inside. A food cart or cafe would’ve been great for a quick snack. By the time we left around 3 PM, the nearby cafe and gift shop were closed (under construction until spring 2026). We found a food court just outside on the campus, which was handy, but missing the gift shop was a bummer since I wanted a plant-themed souvenir. Check hours if you plan to shop! On the plus side, the gardens are pet-friendly (leashed pets with waste bags required), perfect for dog owners. It’s also a fantastic spot for kids, with open lawns and the discovery garden’s story circle and chickens keeping young explorers engaged. My kids loved running around and learning about plants, making it an ideal place for families to connect with nature. The free admission (with $2/hour parking on weekends) is a steal, though parking during construction can be tricky—use the temporary entrance or nearby campus lots. Despite the crowded cherry corridor and no on-site dining, this place is a springtime treasure. The floral variety, kid-friendly spaces, and inviting paths made our visit memorable. Next time, I’ll aim for an early morning trip to avoid the noon-to-3-PM crowds, especially at the cherry corridor, and I’m excited to return for another season’s blooms!

Lovely arboretum. Lots and lots of trees, shrubs and water bogs, trails to walk around and rolling meadows to relax, have a picnic, just take a book and read out there in the sun. The grounds staff is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to share. They seem to love and care for this place. The Duke chapel is the cherry on the cake, of the visit here.

Sarah P. Duke Gardens is one of the nicest places to visit in the Triangle. The gardens are beautiful and really well taken care of, with lots of different areas to explore. The koi ponds, bridges, and flower terraces all make for a really peaceful walk, and there’s always something new to see each season. It’s also a great spot to just relax, take photos, or spend time with friends. Between the views, the wildlife, and how calm it feels, it’s definitely one of my favorite places I’ve visited in the triangle.

Beautiful garden with easy walking trails. Couple of ponds enhance the serenity. Mostly shaded and walking during noon would not be problem. It’s free. You have to park your car at lot “H”, parking fees is $2 per hour. You can only park in this lot only on Saturday and Sunday.

The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh is an absolute gem and a must-visit! When we went, they were hosting a special blue whale exhibition, and it was jaw-dropping. Seeing the enormous skeleton up close for the first time was unforgettable—it really gave us perspective on how massive and magnificent these ocean giants are. The museum has plenty more to explore, too. We loved roaming through the dinosaur exhibit, where life-sized displays and fascinating details bring prehistoric times to life. Standing next to those towering models was both humbling and exciting. One of the best parts is that general admission is donation-based, so you can explore the museum at no set cost, making it accessible for everyone. If you’d like to add something extra, they also offer 3D movies at a very reasonable price: $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, students, and military with ID, $4 for children, and $3 for members. It’s a fun way to dive deeper into science and nature. Overall, our visit was fascinating, family-friendly, and inspiring. We’ll definitely return to see future exhibits and enjoy more of what this incredible museum has to offer. Cheers! 🥂

The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is the best science museum we’ve ever visited! The first thing that impressed me was that the entire main area is free — no tickets are needed to explore all four floors. You only need to buy tickets for special exhibitions or movies. I’ve never seen such a wonderful free science museum before! Out of appreciation, I bought tickets for all three movies and the Blue Whales exhibit for three people — and even with that, it wasn’t expensive at all, just a little over $90. The museum is so diverse and interesting that we spent the whole day there and still didn’t see everything. You definitely need at least two days to explore it fully. There’s a café on the 4th floor that was full of visitors. The menu doesn’t really offer much for healthy eaters, so we skipped it, but it’s a great spot for a quick snack, especially for kids. On the 4th floor there’s also a bridge that connects to another building of the museum — it opens up to a huge laboratory area that was amazing to see. We’re still impressed! The museum has two gift shop areas, but honestly, the museum itself is much more exciting and full of variety than the shops. There are restrooms on every floor, plus escalators and elevators, so it’s accessible for everyone, including people with disabilities.

What a delightful place to visit! We enjoyed ourselves from the moment we entered, until the time we left. There's lots of floors to visit. You can also walk across the bridge and visit the multiple floors at the other part of the museum! You can easily spend a few hours here, learning so many things!

The Raleigh Science Center is an amazing place for all ages! It’s packed with interactive exhibits that make learning fun and hands on. Right now, they have an incredible Blue Whale exhibit that’s definitely worth seeing. Whether you’re into space, biology, or technology, there’s something exciting to explore. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help or answer questions. I especially loved the planetarium shows truly out of this world! Highly recommend visitors to Raleigh to stop by and boost their experience while you’re in town. Perfect for family trips or a fun day out with friends!

I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. The place is huge and super clean, which made walking around really nice. The staff were all friendly and professional, and there was a ton to see and do. One of the highlights for me was the dinosaur areas, they're really well put together, with some awesome skeletons and tons of interesting info for both kids and adults. The pictures are just a little bit of the areas, you've gotta check out all the floors Whether you're into science, history, or just want something fun to explore, this place has something for everyone. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area

This is a beautiful art museum! And it’s free. Except for some special exhibits. But the large portion of it is free. And stunning. The building itself is beautiful and they have some wonderful pieces. I was not expecting for this place to be so big. I will be back.

This is an amazing museum and we didn’t get to explore all of it because of how huge it is. We love art so we spent about 3 hours walking around learning & looking at African American art, European art, WWII art, Christian art, and many more other powerful artistic pieces with a historical background. The museum is absolutely free to explore which is great but no food and drinks inside the place. There’s about 2-3 different buildings to go into.

The free night event was wonderful. Plenty of exhibits . A variety of mediums. A quiet ,clean friendly atmosphere and plenty of on-site parking. The special exhibit...The book of Esther was informative and well put together. The African American exhibit was full of color and very eye-catching. The various mediums (wood, wire, paper, metal)will keep a person intrigued. There are benches throughout for time to reflect or just rest. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. There is a gift shop with a variety of items for sell such as books, jewelry, artwork and trinkets. There is also a dress up photo opportunity near the book of Esther exhibit.

On Sunday I went to experience the walking trails at the NC Museum of Art, and loved it! There are so many interesting art pieces in view while walking! The paths are measured and posted in the Welcome Center area and also on the Blue Path (sponsored by BCBS). I posted an image of that map. It felt safe with families, couples, and singles all around. I ended up walking on most of the paths, and it tired me out. Luckily, I was parked in the edge by the entrance with the Reedy Creek stoplight on Blue Ridge Road. A plethora of parking there!!! So great!

Great experience with a plethora of art from different time periods. I would recommend designating ample time to really soak in all the pieces. The staff was present and available for any questions as well. I would definitely revisit.

I love the museum park and all the installations and sculptures. Love the landscaping too. I love the design of the west building. Not so much about the collections though. Highly recommend the museum park. There is similar museum park which is the Glenstone Museum in Maryland.

This place was exceptional. The gentlemen at the front entryway desk were fun to chat with, and John had some great insight into what's in the museum. The pathway to go around the exhibits was great. I suggest giving it a try. Just a side note on your information kiosk is missing a bronze star information on recipients.

great place, no charge, great immersive exhibits. i drove to this on my way home from SC to PA. worth the visit. Super-61's rotor head now rests here. RIP to those men lost that day

Another of the large museums. Be aware, there are two (special operations) museums one on the base property and one in downtown Fayetteville. Be aware of this sleek programming your GPS. This review is the down town location. Very nice atrium with both a WW2 and a modern paratrooper decending from the overhead. The displays are large and well separated. Since airborne didn't use much armor or other mechanized transport there is a definite lack of such in the museum but it's 100% understandable. The gift shop seemed a bit small and the selection limited. I only found one fridge magnet 🧲 luckily it's one I would have selected anyway. I still rated it a full five stars due to the wonderful use of full size dioramas.

Why did I wait 35 years to visit? It's a great place for families, very informative, well organized and extremely affordable, FREE! ♥️ (Donations are accepted.)

Impressive place, great museum. Really worth visitng. The museum presents hstory of the Airborne troops since its beginning until present times. Very interesting exhibition, including authentic, historical items. It will take some time to visit the museum. It's huge (looks smaller from the outside).

I have visited the Airborne & Special Operations Museum many times over the years and it never disappoints. They always maintain the displays in this museum so well and clean. Even though the museum is free of charge, they do have 2 donation bins, so please make sure you donate if you're able too... So if you ever find yourself in Fayetteville, North Carolina and you're looking for something to do. Pay a visit to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum to make memories, meanwhile learning of the sacrifices our soldiers have endured and their achievements. At this beautiful museum full of Airborne & Special Operations military history. Thanks to the Staff and Museum employees, that do such an amazing job maintaining such a great museum.

A well preserved piece of history that was not restored on purpose. It is not the most known place in Charleston but for my daughter it was a place she needed to see. She is majoring in historical preservation and this place is a perfect example of a piece of history that is preserved but not restored. The grounds were beautiful and the place is still being researched and preserved to this day. The tour was very well presented.

Every inch of Drayton Hall is absolutely gorgeous! I had the opportunity to take my children yesterday to visit Drayton Hall and view the current archeological excavation. It was fantastic!! Drayton Hall is absolutely beautiful and the guides are so knowledgeable. It was not only a fun experience but highly educational. It was amazing to see the artifacts they are recovering and the beautiful restoration of the house. They have a Phillip Simmons gate there as well. I highly recommend visiting. Their gift shop is amazing too, beautiful pieces from local artists and fantastic books. We had an amazing experience and will be bringing our family back in a few weeks when they come to visit.

This is a beautiful place and the history of the home and families that lived in the home is quite interesting. The story was told very well on our tour. Wear your walking shoes.

Great historical look at an I preserved plantation. It gives you a sense of what life was like and connects you to history in a way that books, documentaries can’t. Unique in its unrestored state.

House tour was okay, tour guide was informative but not very interesting. Loved the house architecture and the grounds were nice to walk around.

Loved the experience. It was great to get the tour, and then be able to also do a self-guided tour as well.

I loved this tour and museum. Our tour guide Cody did a wonderful job, and was very knowledgeable. We had a small group, and it was a quiet day, so he took extra time with us, and went into more detail. You're able to wander the grounds on your own. Id highly recommend walking down to the Ashley River to appreciate the stunning view.
