Chimney Bluffs State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Dramatic rock formations tower over Lake Ontario at this park with scenic woodland & beach trails.
First time here today! What an interesting state park with a deep history. Plenty of different trails and great views of the 10,000 year old bluffs formed from eroded drumlins of the last ice age. Bring bug spray in the warmer months, lots of bugs. You can also go down to the beach area for some different views below the bluffs and be right by Lake Ontario.
Broden B — Google review
Another beautiful day and we decided to take a drive to see the Chimney Bluffs... The hike was very easy a little uphill from the one parking lot. We walked the 1.29 miles to the other parking lot which had 201 steps down. As for the views, they were majestic... Lake Ontario had crystal blue water almost Caribbean like waters stunning Hopefully, you can get out and enjoy this gem.
Mark S — Google review
We drove to the parking on E Bay Road, on the far NE side of the park to walk the 202 steps UP the hill to see the bluffs on the bluff trail and then turned around and went down because it was rainy and we have a 16 month old with us. The trail was well maintained, easy to find and navigate. There are restrooms at the parking lot and there were a decent amount of parking spots. The bluffs are very neat and interested. The views are lovely, especially if it was sunny I would imagine.
Brittany R — Google review
Definitely something you should go see if you haven't before. The main draw here are the bluffs which you can see along a 1 mile trail. Very easy walk. Trail was good shape with hardly muddy areas. The spires are gorgeous.b There are other trails you can take throughout the party as well.
Rudolph B — Google review
The ragged lakeshore is one of a kind! We started out at the main entrance ($5/car) and hiked just a little to the views overlooking Rochester. Then we drove to the east parking lot and hiked more along the cliffs, it was very windy but pristine and nobody else was there. The dragon beach is full of driftwood and pretty cool as well.
JitkaKac — Google review
Easy 3 mile hike in and out. Easy for kids, beautiful views and leads down to Lake Ontario. Bathrooms at both ends of trail heads. Great place for a fall hike or a picnic! Trails are nicely marked and they are putting in wooden walkways over the low (muddy) spots.
Madelyn P — Google review
Chimney Bluffs State Park on the shore of Lake Ontario is an absolute must-see destination in Upstate New York. What sets this park apart is its extraordinary geology: towering, earthen spires, or drumlins, carved by glacial activity and ceaseless erosion from wind and waves. These formations rise dramatically up to 150 feet above the water, creating an otherworldly, almost desert-like landscape that feels transported from Utah and offers some of the most spectacular photography opportunities in the region.
Ashish K — Google review
We took a trip here to check out the bluffs. It's definitely a cool place, and the chimney bluffs were amazing. We made the trails into a loop, and it ended up being only 3.5 miles. The trails were very muddy and had to venture off trail to get around the deep spots. Bring your boots

Our most favorite place! Stumbled across this gem of a town 4 yrs ago on a rainy Mother’s Day and instantly knew this was where we’d get married! We did just that on September 30th, 2023, the best day of our lives 🥹 The grounds are so well kept and the view is just amazing, same with the outer lighthouse down at sodus beach ❤️ Highly recommend visiting this beautiful little town and lighthouses!!! Was also there for the Eclipse and the Northern Lights ❤️
Melissa M — Google review
Beautiful views of Sodus Bay and the lighthouse from this spot. One of my favorite locations for a summer sunset.
Eric H — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. I've heard so much about it and now got to visit myself. Definitely check it out. Also go to Timmerman Photography on Facebook. His pictures are what made me want to come visit.
Elizabeth V — Google review
Grab your climbing shoes and let’s go! This historic lighthouse is open to the public as a museum. The person who welcomed us was so sweet, he even gave us pamphlets on other places we were going to see on our journey and some we were interested to see. The museum is very small, so don’t worry about having to walk far. The lighthouse isn’t very fall either, but be careful of the steps! Each little room has an amazing story to tell, and when you climb the lighthouse you get a sticker!
Kaimu — Google review
A must see. Coolest small town history lesson while there. The view of the bay was beautiful. Maintained to pristine. Gardens I had to take the time to sit and enjoy.
Daisie N — Google review
I didn't actually pay to go inside the museum cause it seemed rather pricey (why only 4 stars). The views from here overlooking the bay are spectacular and there's plenty of interesting things to see around the outside.
Strange M — Google review
This was a nice place to get out and visit. Very pretty when the sun is setting during the winter months. It's pretty here.
J G — Google review
Sodus Bay Lighthouse and Museum is fantastic. Highly recommend visiting. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse, 52 spiral steps. Very well presented history of the lighthouse and area. The historical society has done an amazing job of restoration and maintenance. I give the historian and librarian special mention as they made our visit exceptional.

Hi, TasteBuds here. A part of my tasting yummy foods is that I get to visit different places. Now, when I travel, I love the service @frances_smartmomstravel  provides. Fran is attentive and responsive, very professional, but super relatable. You tell her where you want to go, she finds multiple  venues, you pick the one you like and she does the rest. She literally takes the hassle out of my planning. Oh, and when you think it can't get better working with @frances_smartmomstravel, you find out  that her service is  at no cost to you!  So awesome, right?!  I've had her  plan 3 vacations so far, and I'm getting ready to book my 4th. So if you are thinking of going on a vacation , you should know, I tried, I'm now a repeat user of the service, and I recommend  @frances_smartmomstravel.  Enjoy some pictures from my last visit. Now you decide. #travel #vacation #yummy #foodie #dining #friendsandfood #brunch #lunch #dinner #shareyourplate #foodnetwork #ilovefood #tastebudschronicles18 #foodbuds #foodtasting #winetasting #nyfw #foodblog #foodblogger #healthyappetite #willworkforfood #foodporn #foodstagram #foodshare #foodforfoodies #oneontaeats #foodcoma#FFF #foodlover #foodfriendsandfamily#f3#lop

If you have the time and interest this is a pleasant and short look at several vineries in the area. Be aware however the several need advanced reservations and that their websites are difficult in doing just that, especially since you cannot do it by phone. Getting the Keuka trail passport offers a bit of savings, but doing more than one winery a day is tough, especially when coordinating reservations. Most of the wines a similar in taste; mild fruitiness and dry. The German style and varieties are better than most of the other. It is rare to find a good red, Steve Hill Red is the exception... delicious. Doing this once gives a good overview of finger lakes wineries.
Stephen G — Google review
The old saying she ain't what she used to be applies here. This used to be a fun interactive experience. We have been here several times in the past and always enjoyed it. Understand the wine is good. However (possibly) since co-vid they have clung onto the impersonal wine tasting experience. The group has to agree to which wine the are going to try. Most groups have a wide range of preferences so someone or everyone in the group will be stuck trying a wine completely out of their wheelhouse. They will bring out a small kraft of wine and the server leaves to let tasters figure it out. You are left with a fast food restaurant feeling here.
Jim M — Google review
This is a nice, easy trail with a few waterfalls. The trail that starts near the railroad tracks is near standing water which has misquitos in the summer but otherwise very pretty.
Ann S — Google review
Great experience, EXCEPT for....they don't tell you, you need to make reservations!! For $45, you show up at the last winery in your list & can't get your tasting because you DON'T have a reservation!! Ridiculous!!
Mb P — Google review
A great variety of wineries. Good wines. Dr Konstantin Frank, Weiss and Keuka Springs are among our favorites.
Mike H — Google review
Only 4 wineries are participating in the 2019 wine trail? What happened? I was here in 2017 and there were at least 7....

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery

Wineries & Vineyards
Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, located on the picturesque Keuka Lake, holds a significant place in Finger Lakes' wine history. Dr. Konstantin Frank, a viticulture Ph.D., revolutionized the region's wine industry by introducing European vinifera grapes in the late 1950s. This shift from hybrid grapes to vitis vinifera paved the way for Old World-style wines in the area.
My father and I had an incredible experience during our wine tasting at the Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery! There was a variety of types of wine included in the experience, and each one was truly delicious. The cheese board for two was incredible, and the guided pairing of the cheese board with the wine tasting made the experience that much better! The service was wonderful- we worked with Sue, who kept our glasses and our smiles full. Sue was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and the winery, and her passion for the history around Dr. Frank’s legacy is apparent. We tasted some of our new favorite wines AND cheeses, and we can’t wait to come back in the near future.
Keely A — Google review
I absolutely love this winery! I have ordered wine in the past but this was my first time visiting the winery itself. Staff is so friendly and amazingly helpful. Great experience. Wine is absolutely delicious!! Purchased some new wines I haven't had before to take home and I joined the wine club. I can't wait to try some different wines I haven't had. So glad we finally make the trip. Probably one of the best wineries I have tried in the Finger Lakes. Definitely my favorite.♥️
Melissa — Google review
DO THE 1886 EXPERIENCE. It was worth every penny and we can’t wait to do it again! It was the perfect amount of wine through the tour to try different types of wines. The tour itself was so informative and educational then you come back to the seating area to your small plate pairings with wine. It was organized, engaging, DELICIOUS and days later we still are raving about it. Can’t wait to do it again! Absolutely phenomenal 💗
Bridget C — Google review
We just recently visited the Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery during a weekend trip to Naples. Out of about 7 wineries, this was our best tasting experience and our favorite winery. My husband and I are both dry red wine drinkers but we really enjoyed just about everything we tried at the tasting. A favorite included the semi-dry Riesling. This is the only winery we purchased more than one bottle as we could not decide. We were traveling with our puppy, Hank, and our 4 children. We didn’t feel rushed and the staff all seemed to genuinely want us there. Beautiful views and patio! Wish we could have stayed longer! We’ll definitely be back.
Brittanie T — Google review
Beautiful winery with kind staff and yummy charcuterie foods. Customer service was just amazing. At Eugenia’s Garden, there are many sitting areas (gazebo, swing chairs, picnic tables). For the seated wine tasting, there is an outdoor area balcony that overlooks the lake. There is also an indoor area but we did not sit there.
Jessie W — Google review
This is a beautiful winery during any season. The deck out front is especially has an especially beautiful view of Keuka Lake. If you want to do a tasting, book ahead of time. If not, Eugene's garden is open (heated tent) for flights and wine by the glass. Bring cash to tip since you cannot add tips to card transactions.
R D — Google review
We love this place! It’s a true gem overlooking Lake Keuka. We are members and get their wines shipped to us quarterly. Great experience all around. Great service, very friendly, and the wines are amazing! Thank you for always delivering in excellence. Bryan and Vicky Sparks

Loved Dr Frank winery. Sat outside in the garden. It was lovely and peaceful. The flights are done differently. They come preselected in sets of 3. The glasses come in a tiered stand and recommend you go from top to bottom. Genius! Loved their wine.

CMAC, also known as the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, is a popular indoor/outdoor theater located in Canandaigua, NY. It hosts big-name concerts, theater performances, and dance productions during the summer season. The venue offers a 15,000-seat capacity with both pavilion and lawn seating options overlooking the picturesque Canandaigua Lake. Visitors can enjoy live music under the stars while sipping on wine or other available beverages.
Great live music venue! Parking was $10. Staff was friendly and helpful! Drink prices are insanely high. $35 for one drink and a water. Lots of praying mantis and gnats flying around. Still a great night with a nice breeze off the lake! Sublime/Interrupters ❤️
Courtney H — Google review
This is one of my favorite places to see concerts. The hill on the south side is sloped a lot and we had to help my mom. Not incredibly clear what chair I was allowed to bring (I have a spinal disability and cannot sit in camp chairs). Switching between the grass and standing is usually just fine though. All in all, I'm always very happy with the sound quality no matter where you are (dome or all the way back by the Corona cabana.
Amy O — Google review
I just came back from the killers concert and i gotta say, the venue itself was nice, However crowd control was so bad and unorganized. I really thought i got a good spot on the lawn but security was just letting people stand on the walkway by the time the show was starting. It felt like they sold out more tickets than they should have because there was a point when people didn't seem to find a spot. It would be nice if they had staff directing foot traffic.
Stephlestrange 1 — Google review
Ted Nugent popularized the phrase, "If it's too loud, you're too old." So take heed if you sit under the covered Amphitheater section. Also I find it amusing that people in the seated sections stand the entire concert. With your view blocked you will need comfortable shoes for standing during the evening. Consider the lawn area for a more comfortable experience.
David H — Google review
Love CMAC! Smooth entering and exiting and it feels clean, chill and safe. There are no bad seats! And I love that you can bring or rent a folding chair for the lawn. The rental chairs are $5 and the money goes to charity. Also there are places nearby to park for less than $45 if you get to the area early enough. Can’t say enough good things about this venue.
Megan H — Google review
Love CMAC. Saw Heart there on Friday. Opened by Todd Rundgren. Great seats, nice venue. Only complaint is that one cannot bring their own drinks, soda, etc. and if you buy a drink from the location, it still has to be poured into a cup.
Rjrnj1 — Google review
I LOVE CMAC. When there’s a concert on a warm, summer evening, it’s an incomparable place. I don’t like some of the crazy rules they have adopted (e.g. one can’t even bring a bottle of water in, and only allows one to bring in a single, clear plastic bag). There are metal detectors and security personnel, so that should be sufficient. I saw Heart and they were amazing. I like country music as much as the next person, but in recent years there have been far too many country artists and not enough pop and rock artists at CMAC. This was Heart’s first time here. I sure hope they will be asked to return!

The Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park features exotic plants and trees within its 50-acre formal gardens and arboretum. The property was originally purchased in 1863 by Frederick and Mary Thompson as a summer estate, which eventually grew to encompass 300 acres with the construction of a grand Queen Anne-style mansion. Visitors can explore the well-maintained grounds on guided tours, including the opportunity to view the stunning floral displays.
Really interesting story of this couple. The place was clean and really gave you the feel of early 1900’s. Wonderful place to take school aged kids. The gift store was just amazing with lots of things for anyone. Had a blast. Stayed for about 3 hours. Highly recommend the strawberry banana smoothie at the cafe!!! So delicious

This is such a beautiful park! It's pretty massive too! If you are ever looking for a park to go to and spend the day in Sonnenberg is it! I recently had taken Tyler and Ashley's post elopement photos at the Gardens and I love how their turned out! You have different types of gardens that make for stunning backdrops!
Danielle P — Google review
My wife, her grandma and I went for an hour and a half trip to Sonnenberg on a Saturday afternoon. They had a wedding scheduled and we were given this information when we arrive to buy our tickets. We decided it was worth it to pop in for a bit. The shuttle driver was a very nice man, who helped us with grandma’s walker to make sure it would ride to the mansion without any problems. Once there, we toured the downstairs and had just enough time to loop the upstairs, near the back gardens before it was time to go. It was my first time inside the mansion and it’s a truly stunning place! Kim was the tour guide in the mansion who chatted with us about the different rooms and different events that have happened at Sonnenberg over the years. We enjoyed seeing and taking photos of the historic home. I was left in awe so many times. As we waited for the shuttle to bring us back to the parking lot, we did a quick walk around the Four Seasons Garden. It’s so beautiful inside and out! We will definitely be back for a longer visit next time!
Nina T — Google review
Wow wow wow! Even on its off season this place is so whimsical! It is like being transported to another place and time in the world. A great place to escape reality for a bit and just enjoy the luxury of the gardens and the beauty of the mansion. Seeing a simply glamorous way of life that is kept by the most adorable, sweetest volunteers. Everyone was incredible. This place is magic. Go there to seek peace, love and beauty.
Christa L — Google review
We visited in September when most of the flowers were on the opposite end of looking beautiful and it was still amazing. Wonderful walking paths and just gorgeous scenery to look at all around. Staff were amazing as well and the golf cart drivers were always there offering a ride and the staff in the mansion itself were very knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions. Wonderful place!
Craig M — Google review
I mean honestly I've been trying to finally visit for up to a year now. So glad I finally went! If you are to go, I'd definitely suggest going in the spring/summer to get the full experience of the foliage. I thought it would be more vibrant, covered in flowers, etc. But you can't really control the weather and how plants grow! Other than that, I spent about 3 hours there, and it was worth every second. Everything was so informative and the volunteers were so sweet and helpful. The Cafe was so cute! The food was delicious! Would 100% go again!

Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion in Canandaigua is one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever photographed!! It’s tucked right in the Finger Lakes and feels like stepping into a historic estate.. the mansion, the gardens, the greenhouse paths… every part of it is so stunning! The Sonnenberg team was so kind and easy to work with, and the day just felt seamless from start to finish. You can tell they truly care about creating an amazing experience for their couples and guests. As a wedding photographer, I loved how much variety there was for portraits, the light, the colors, and the scenery were a dream! It’s one of those places that makes you fall in love with what you do all over again. I’d go back to Sonnenberg in a heartbeat!! Lindsey Robinson Photography | WNY Travel Wedding Photographer

Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack offers thoroughbred racing for 160 days a year, along with a video casino featuring diverse dining options and live entertainment. The region is renowned for its wine, boasting over 120 wineries and producing the most wine in New York State. The area's cool climate wines, particularly Riesling and Gewurztraminer, are popular, but it also produces notable red varieties like Pinot Noir and Merlot.
Probably my favorite local casino. Nice mix of new games and time tested favorites. Min bet seem a little lower than most of the others as well.

I came here Saturday to try out their buffet. Arrived around 5pm and it was busy. After my ID got scanned, I walked to their club to get my membership the head to the buffet. It was a line of customers waiting to get in the buffet, and the room was almost full. After paid the buffet, it took a but for a staff to get us a table, then probably around 10 minutes later, a lady came in to take order for drink. The buffet selection is quite standard, with some salad, fries, chicken, pasta, pizza, taco. There was staff that cut beef brisket or cook some pasta as you order. Food quality overall is not stand out. I enjoy the dessert selection, cake, cookies are quite good, the soft serve ice cream is tasteless. And it seems they barely fill bowls for soup and dessert. I didn’t have a chance to taste soup because there was no bowl. The game area is all machines, and some has cups/bottle still sits around. Not sure if I want to come back.
Aupair P — Google review
Where will these machines be next time? If you must put new machines on the floor, number them and put a map on your website so people know where they are. Or see their favorite machines are gone. Increase RTP to 96% and advertise it! Drawings are okay but more jackpots on the machines are better than luck of the draw. At the top of every hour, announce jackpot amounts for the previous 60 minutes and the number of the machines. It doesn't matter to anyone if $1,000 was just won if you don't know what machine. UPDATE - There is a new owner (I heard) for 2025 and I am hoping to see the above changes. _________________ May 17, 2025 review_______________ * * * * * (5 STAR) I didn't know Lucky North Club closes at midnight after arriving just before 1 a.m. staying until 4 a.m. I still think a map would be very beneficial although most machines are the same. If there are new ones, I didn't tour the whole casino to find any. Continue announcing jackpots but say what machine it was won on instead of just saying "Another jackpot winner for more than $1,000 winner and you could be next!" What does that do?

A friend and I have gone to the buffet at the Finger Lakes Race Track. We weren't disappointed with the selection! There was plenty choose from. The 2 times we had went. To the point where my friend would like to go weekly especially on Sunday brunch day!! I think that's the best day myself. I just love breakfast food and they have quite the selection!!

Really nice casino! The usual win win win and then loose it all situations but had fun doing it on interactive machines. We were disappointed that their buffet is only open weekends, should have checked before the trip. But had a delicious meal in the cafe on the casino floor. We will return😄

Eh it's a racino. Slots are VLTs and ran by NYS so it's fine, but Turning Stone seems to have more consistent games. (Update 10/23/2025) Went again to see how $50 would do and I was betting $1 at a time and I think I was done within 10 mins and from about 50 spins I won only about $4 after spending $50. This casino is one of the tightest VLT casinos I've been to. I think I'm done with all racinos and VLTs casinos. I'm going to Indian casinos or out of state.

The wife and I went to the buffet last Saturday and it was meh..The wife thought it was awful the only thing that I enjoyed was the prime rib and The coconut shrimp...The Chinese section was disgusting!! ..They had some pizza selections that was good. The staff was great!! But they need to step up thier game in the food department!!.. luckily it was on a special 20 dollars that night but definitely not worth the 30 original price !!

Hazlitt Red Cat Cellars, nestled in the charming neighborhood of Naples, offers world-class wines and warm hospitality from the Hazlitt family. Housed in the historic Widmer Winery facility, this winery continues the tradition of winemaking with a perfect blend of art and science. Visitors praise the friendly staff, particularly mentioning Hannah's exceptional service. The extensive wine selection receives high praise, with visitors recommending their delicious hard cider as well.
Great stop! The winery was cozy and the service from the pleasant girl running the tastings was the best we’ve had in the Finger Lakes! Thanks for a great experience!

Beware of false advertising. Their website and the tasting sheet state 6 tastings for $10. We were told you get 4. When I questioned the hostess, she said 6 is only for "larger" groups. This was the Naples NY tasting room. Nowhere on their website or on the sheet does it state this. Plus the pours were, in my opinion, very small, about 1 oz. The $2.50 an oz. is expensive. Don't waste your time here, go to the other fine wineries in the area.

This was unfortunately a low point on our trip and a reminder to me to stop picking places based on the name (which I'm probably going to keep doing, if we're being honest). My cousin chums and I kicked off our mini winery tour here this past Labor Day around midday/early afternoon-ish. There was a small batch of wineries in the Naples area that were conveniently located within a short drive of our Airbnb, and this one logically made the most sense to kick off the adventures. The first issue is the location/atmosphere. The best wineries for me are comfortable and have a nice, pleasant view to look at while you sip your wine. This just doesn't have that all - the winery is located directly behind what looks to be an old factory building, so your view is of that building or at best, the picnic tables to the side of the winery which are sort of in an enclosed outside area that also doesn't offer any real views. The other problem with this situation is that it's a bit DIY - when we ordered our wine flights, we were instructed to bring them outside to wherever we wanted to sit. That's fine, but to even get to the aforementioned picnic tables, we needed to navigate down one or two flights of stairs and another seating area - you're just begging for an accident to happen here. We probably would have opted for the picnic tables if it were an easier trek to get to them. Instead we went with a narrow high-top situation in the area right outside the building on an enclosed porch which did not have a lot of room for our three wine flights. We each got a $10 wine flight. It was a little annoying to get the little booklet/menu of options indicating we could choose any six, only to be informed verbally and in writing within the actual shop that it was now four. That kind of discrepancy shouldn't be reflected in your paperwork that you're handing out to customers - it looks unprofessional and feels like a holiday cash grab. And a very easy fix; that's a quick trip/order to your local printer at some point. Given that you're drinking booze by definition, what the winery offers for snacks/food is one of its more important qualities. And again, they fell short. At least they DID provide free popcorn, but it was stale and almost inedible. The water situation was noticeably not good either, which is an odd thing to say about water. But the container it was in had a noticeable smell of dirty dishwater so it didn't seem like they were cleaning their cups/bottles well. The big problem overall? The wine isn't good, and you kind of know it going in when they're literally selling the wine by the pouch in addition to bottles. It's difficult to take a winery seriously when they're packaging their product in a container that's understandably associated with cheap, mediocre (if that) wine. I ordered the 2023 Gewurz, a Bubbly Reisling, the Schooner White and the Red Cat, which was arguably promoted more heavily than any of the other wines (not surprisingly given the name). The Red Cat probably IS the best of the wines I sampled but like a lot of the varieties, was super sweet and didn't have a lot to offer, palate-wise. I actually tend to like the semi sweet more than the drier wines because for me it's typically a smoother drink and easier to distinguish the notes, but there just really isn't anything here - I hate to say it, but it tasted like fruit juice, which I can just grab from the supermarket if so inclined. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the young women inside were very nice. I don't think any of the issues we encountered were because of them; they warmly greeted us as soon as we came in, and were helpful in directing us to the tasting area. They didn't have a lot to work with, and did what they could - that's a tribute to the winery's hiring practices at least. Avoid this one. If you need to drink wine out of a pouch, your local liquor store has them in the clearance section.

Great place, great atmosphere and products. Great customer service BUT be careful with the bags they are super thin broke my wine and hot sauce lifting bag out of car. They put way to much in a little paper Bag. Hold from bottom or ask for multiple bags especially if it rains because we had to walk a distance in the pouring rain they are fixing parking lot. They told me after this review to email the manager but she never responded...

Grimes Glen Park is a picturesque hiking destination located in the Hi Tor Wildlife Management Area. The trail, while easy to follow, can be chilly due to the nearby stream, but rewards hikers with a leisurely walk through a mixed hardwood forest and stunning views of magnificent waterfalls. As one of the best hikes in the Finger Lakes region, the trail narrows as you progress and offers an immersive experience as you navigate around bends.
Pretty awesome place if you like natural waterfalls and stone formations. I have been visiting this park for 45 years and it never fails to rejuvenate my spirit and bring me closer to Nature. The trail to the first falls is somewhat easy, but you better be more adventurous or more experienced to go further than that. Lots of wildlife, both in the surrounding foliage and in the water. The layers of shale have cool fossils and plenty of geological history. Magical.
A.B. I — Google review
This type of scenery is one of the better arguments for going to the Finger Lakes (overall I honestly wasn't that impressed with the region) - they don't have my preferred mountain peaks like the Adirondacks but they do seem to have an awful lot of glens and waterfalls to look at. My cousin chums and I wandered over here on Labor Day to get in a few extra steps before beginning our wine tour debauchery. This didn't end up being much of a hike (which my Fitbit can attest to) as much as a lot of rock hopping and careful navigating, but the sights at the end made up for a lot. We did minimal research beforehand - this was an area recommended in our Airbnb guide on the coffee table, which just said this was a cool, waterfall-centric hike to experience. We accessed the park off Vine Street (using GPS but there was a lot of signage from Route 21 so I think there's a decent chance we could have located it without technology), crossing the cute little bridge just past the parking lot before heading up Grimes Creek. A decent chunk of our walk DID involve actual trails hugging the sides of the creek, but knowing what we know now? If you don't have decent hiking sneakers or water shoes, this might not be doable as you continue traversing the creek. One of my cousins had normal sandals and ended up bailing about 75% of the way down - we were fortunate in that the weather had been relatively dry, but if you're not used to navigating in a creek bed, this could be a little awkward/tough. I AM pretty accustomed to these types of adventures so my sneakers were dry at the end of this, but I have no idea if I'm in the minority on this or not. The optics are decent. I'm from North Jersey, which boasts Buttermilk Falls as its big waterfalls destination, but it's truly in the middle of nowhere and you don't have scenic creek shizzle accompanying it really; it's right next to the road and you can climb some stairs on the sides to look at it from platforms. This you really have to earn. From what I can tell, one of the larger waterfalls that you almost immediately stumble across is called Springstead Creek Falls, which is fine, but for my money the one at the end that doesn't seem to have a name was significantly cooler looking. It had a cave-like opening to the right, and was just overall a more impressive sight. It's debatable whether it's even really a requirement with this type of walk/hike, but the signage was pretty minimal once you got out of the parking lot area. I think it would have helped to have, if not trail blazes to ensure you were literally on the right/designated path, a sign or two denoting the specific waterfalls or how far you were from them. But arguably part of the appeal of this type of adventure is just stumbling across them - your mileage may vary. Worth a trip if you have the time; if it's been raining though within the past few days? Eh. Maybe bring some galoshes.

No fee. Picnic tables and rest rooms are available next to a nice sized parking lot. Restrooms are clean. The bridge has a brightly covered painted mural which offeres a welcome feature to the park. Waterfalls wildlife hiking as well as spotting wildlife stone formation and fossil findings are some of the features throughout the park. Its a photographers dream!

Great nature hike. About a half mile up a shallow river bed. 2 small falls. The bigger falls is at the end with a bigger wading area. Prepare to get wet. Bring shoes that can get wet. A lot of walking through shallow river bed. Across rocks. Beautiful area, great for kids.

Great scenery. Water was pretty low so really didn't get wet. Definitely crossed the creek back and forth multiple times.

This trail offers views of an ancient river, fossils are abundant throughout the path that leads to two unique unnamed Falls!!! Bring proper footwear and enjoy the views!
Angelo G — Google review
Short stroll back, plan to wear water shoes or footwear you don't mind getting wet. Beautiful in the foliage time of year.
Evonne P — Google review
This place is beautiful. The trail is nice enough that you can walk barefoot through most of it. Once it gets to be off the east trail, you can easily follow the creek to the waterfall, there's no need to take the steep trail, which is quite slippery when it's rained. The waterfalls are beautiful here and it's not busy. There are clean restrooms at the parking lot, too, which is a major plus! You can tell this park is well kept by how clean it is. It's a must when visiting Naples!

Seabreeze Amusement Park, the fourth-oldest amusement park in the United States since 1879, offers a delightful mix of high-speed thrills, kiddie rides, and water attractions. With over 70 rides and slides for all ages, this Rochester gem promises a fun-filled day for families and couples alike.
We visited Seabreeze in August 2025 with our 3 kids (ages 1, 3, and 7) and had an amazing time! Tons of rides for young kids, plenty of shaded spots, and even areas where you can enjoy the real “seabreeze” from the lake. The water park was perfect for little ones with safe, fun splash areas. Clean, well-run, and super family-friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
Nitharsana L — Google review
Very fun local amusement park, featuring the world's oldest continuously operating roller coaster! A bit like taking a step back in time, Seabreeze doesn't have a 6ft mouse, on-site hotels, or fine dining. It also lacks $95 ticket prices, massive lines, and crowds that are actually town populations. What Seabreeze delivers aplenty is small-town amusement park charm and family fun. The rides vary from typical carnival rides, to those appropriate for small children (including a beautiful carousel), to thrill-seekers' delights. The water attractions range likewise across parkgoers of different sizes and swimming levels. The food is largely old-fashioned, amusement park fare--think pizza and hamburgers, with a wide variety of snacks. For healthier or vegetarian options, it's likely best to bring your own cooler, which is an option embraced by park rules. (Just remember to leave the glass at home!) The water park, in particular, can be a bit difficult for those with mobility challenges, but most of the park is fairly accessible. The smaller size and occasional breathtaking lake views help keep Seabreeze manageable for those with sensory processing difficulties, but as with any kid-frequented area, I suggest earplugs. Shaded picnic areas are also available, and these provide some relief from sun and crowds.

We visited Seabreeze in early August(2025) and this was the most fun we had as a family in a long long time. We have been to various amusement parts but none of them was enjoyed by everyone in the family as some of them are good for small kids and others for big kids and few for adults(some only for big kids and adults). However Seabreeze stood out as it was great fun not just for my young one and teenager but also me and my wife. we spent a good 9 hours there and want to go back again and will probably do so as soon as we can. The water park and all rides are lot of fun, the mini circus/stunts were a pleasant surprise. Overall staff are cordial and helpful. Decent food options on premises which are priced decently as well. Only downside in the entire experience was that they were only accepting cash for lockers which was a bummer, not sure if this was a temporary situation. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed this place and hope to visit again.

I just can’t tell you how much I love this place. I lived 2 miles from it in 1978, and when I went back to visit, it was almost like stepping back in time. There were plenty of newer rides, but the classics were still there and unchanged. A perfect place for a family to enjoy a day. Thank you Seabreeze, for bringing back such wonderful memories and making me feel like a kid again…
Heather S — Google review
We had such a great day at Seabreeze! The kids had an absolute blast on the rides and water slides, and we were really impressed with how clean and safe the park felt. The lines moved quickly, which made it easy for everyone to enjoy more rides without a long wait. The only thing that would make the experience even better would be if there were rules about people leaving their belongings on the picnic tables to “reserve” them. We had a tough time finding a place to sit and eat even though many tables were sitting empty with items on them. Aside from that, everything was wonderful and we’ll definitely be back.

Ordered tickets online and used codes and only paid 102$ for me and my two kids to visit on a Wednesday for the entire day. Open 11am to 8pm. Waterpark 12 to 7pm. Tons of things to do. Lots of staff and helpful employees.
Stephanie F — Google review
Kid friendly all ages. Large enough for the day without being overwhelming. Lockers start at 1$ per open and take quarters. We recommend water shoes as the anti slip on pavement and pool floors is rough on the feet. You can leave shoes at the bottom of water slides and collect after you come off. Parking is free. Park is spotless every morning to start the day. If you buy tickets online you can save 3$ per ticket. They have dippn dots ice cream starting at 7$ You can't take phones in pools or water slides. Lines are standardly short if it's not a Saturday or holiday weekend. On a Sunday 0-10 minutes wait for most rides. Water slides take longer. What appear to be short lines don't move fast. You can bring your own food and drinks in. No glass bottles. Sunglasses allowed on rides and slides at your own risk. Lazy river was cold water. Food options available, but nothing exciting. A classic favorite for 3 decades for my family.
Trista S — Google review
I've been coming here for 35 years. The only thing that seems to change are the People. Lol. The "Ride-Waiting Lines" take Forever to ACTUALLY get to the Ride itself. By the end of the day, We Counted how many times we got to Actually Ride on Coasters/Water Slides and it was only 9 times. We were there from Open until Close. Overall, Satisfied but Not.

The George Eastman Museum, located in Rochester, NY, is a multifaceted museum dedicated to preserving the legacy of Kodak co-founder George Eastman. The museum features a Colonial Revival mansion where visitors can tour and take photos in the gardens. Inside, there are current exhibitions showcasing contemporary photographers' work and a permanent collection of photography equipment and images dating back to primitive daguerreotypes. The museum also houses a theater for rare film screenings.
We loved the tour! It takes about 45 minutes and I strongly recommend it. The mansion is well-preserved and you'll definitely feel the atmosphere that this place had a century ago.

The George Eastman Museum is an absolute gem in Rochester, and my recent visit was outstanding from start to finish. The museum itself is beautifully preserved, blending the elegance of George Eastman’s historic home with fascinating exhibits on photography, cinema, and innovation. What truly made the experience memorable, however, was the docent-led tour. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also engaging, weaving together history, personal anecdotes, and fun facts that brought Eastman’s story to life. They had a wonderful way of explaining details about the house, gardens, and Eastman’s legacy in a way that kept everyone in the group interested. I especially enjoyed being taken into the garden, where the docent, Marianne highlighted design elements and shared thoughtful insights I would have missed if I had toured on my own. It gave the whole visit a personal touch and made the history feel vibrant and accessible. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend taking a docent-led tour—it elevates the entire experience and gives you a much deeper appreciation for both George Eastman and the museum’s collections.

The Eastman Museum was the highlight of our visit to Rochester! The entire place is beautifully maintained and spotless, with stunning interiors that truly reflect its history. Our tour guide was amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience so much richer with their insights. There’s also a cozy café and engaging activities for kids, which makes it great for families. The museum is fully accessible for visitors using wheelchairs and offers large free parking, which was very convenient. Overall, it was the best activity we did in Rochester, and I highly recommend visiting!

This was a great museum and mansion that far exceeded my expectations. As someone else also said, the guided tour is what makes it fun. The stories about George Eastman are eye opening and personal. I really enjoyed looking at all the cameras, video cameras, and technology through time. Eastman was a genius! His home and gardens were so different from other homes of 5he early 1900’s.
Shelly P — Google review
This little gem of a museum includes a permanent exhibition from the collection as well as changing shows. I particularly enjoyed the gallery of historic cameras, from Ansel Adams’s Brownie to the very first digital camera (yes, a young Kodak engineer and his close associates pioneered the technology) to a camera designed to survey the moon in advance of the Apollo missions. The informative docent-led house tour takes you through several rooms. Besides being a visionary in the photographic realm, George Eastman was an avid gardener, and the grounds are a living tribute to his expertise. There are also silent and classic motion pictures that are regularly screened, including a yearly festival of films on the flammable nitrate stock (discontinued from use in 1951). The archive is world renowned.

I love history and this place is full of it! The mansion is in pristine condition. Definitely get a tour for the docent was excellent. The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester is a captivating destination that celebrates the world of toys and games. It houses the largest collection of toys, dolls, and play-related artifacts, including the prestigious National Toy Hall of Fame. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits like Reading Adventureland and Sesame Street, as well as enjoy a pint-size market and an indoor butterfly garden. The museum also features vintage pinball machines and classic arcade games for all ages to enjoy.
I highly recommend. I was surprised how large it was and how interactive it was. There were so many games (board games ann video games) you could play and so many other interactive things. Great for kids of all ages and adults as well. It had so many nostalgia items from toys dating back to the 1800's to more recent. We went on a Monday and it was not busy, we were there almost 5 hours and probably still didn't see everything. We ate at the food court and got pizza and a chicken salad wrap and both were really good.

The Strong National Museum of Play completely lives up to its name — it’s pure fun, learning, and nostalgia rolled into one. We went as a family with both adults and kids, and every one of us had different favorites — which says everything about how much there is to do here. The exhibits are hands-on, creative, and thoughtfully designed, from the classic toys and video games to the pretend play areas and immersive displays. You could easily spend the whole day here and still find new things to explore. The only downside was that the bathrooms could have been cleaner — no soap first thing in the morning and a few stalls looked like they hadn’t been checked since the night before. Hopefully just a timing issue, because everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the layout was well-organized, and the entire experience was memorable from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back — we’re planning for another full day!

This is the best place for kids (and me!)😁 It has the largest areas of play for kids at different ages. It entertains, teaches and inspires my kids. It's such a cool place and I would love to come here a few times a week! I wished the membership was cheaper though.

Best children’s museum I’ve ever been to! We stopped on our way back from the Midwest, going to New England, and my husband is already wanting to plan a trip to Rochester next year, just to spend more time at the museum! My son who was 1.5yo when we visited, LOVED it! I like how there’s activities for kids at every age (even adult nostalgia), and there’s even an outside area for kids to run around in (enclosed).

Outstanding National Treasure in the middle of Rochester! I went to the museum with my 4 year old granddaughter on Monday when senior rates are in effect. It is not cheap and family membership makes more sense than paying admission only a few times a year. It takes several days to appreciate the enormous amount of exhibits housed at the Strong. Parking is $10 on top of admission without a membership. I have been to art and science museums around the world and this museum blew me away. Can't say enough good things about it. Go, just go. Had such a great time that I didn't take many pictures; I was too enthralled with the displays and activities for young and old.

Had a great experience at the Strong Museum! My kids had a blast—there were tons of fun activities for them. I especially enjoyed seeing the classic games from the ’90s, like the pinball machines. Brought back memories! Pretty sure the new generation has no idea how to play some of those, but it was fun showing them.

This was our second time visiting with our son. First time he was 2 years old and he had a great time. This visit he's now 7 years old and was able to enjoy different parts of the museum that cater to his age. He even got to have fun in some of the same sections he did as a 2 year old. This museum is really one of my favorites. It's fun for the whole family, not just the little ones. The history of video games and the history of board games really stands out for me. Very clean and easy to navigate. Highly recommend! My son would also like to add his words: "Most museums we only go to once, but this museum is far away from us, and we want to go to it a lot of times. The Strong Museum of Play is really fun. I love all the sections and could spend a whole day there. Can't wait to go back!"

Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester is a compact yet diverse zoo that houses over 90 species of animals, both native and exotic. The zoo's ongoing transformation aims to introduce more animals and attractions while expanding conservation and education programs.
Went to zoo brew and want to shout out Kathy, who drove us in the golf cart from the parking lot to the entrance as a part of the VIP package. Kathy was the highlight! She’s awesome. I recommend paying for VIP. Get closer parking, shorter or no line for entry, and two drink tickets. Was pleasantly surprised to see so many of the animals out and about! Lions, elephants, giraffes, otters, snow owl, and more.
Diane M — Google review
My family and I enjoyed all the changes that have been made. Last time I visited it was in 2017. It was nice to see junior volunteers staggered through the zoo and interact with our kids. They taught our kids some fun facts at each station.
Anna R — Google review
We visited the Seneca Zoo on a very hot day, and most of the animals were staying cool in the shade, which made it a bit hard to see or spot them. The zoo itself is clean and family-friendly, and we especially loved seeing young teens at tables sharing interactive information about the animals—it was a nice, educational touch. That said, costs can add up quickly. A family with one child might manage fine, but with three kids, it gets expensive fast. Most souvenirs and food were pretty pricey. It’s a fun outing overall, but I’d recommend going on a cooler day and budgeting ahead if you’re bringing the whole crew.
N G — Google review
It's always a fun, edu time at the Zoo. Animal enclosures seem clean, and the animals always seem comfortable and at ease. I always appreciate staff giving facts and making the trips personal. The food is good, bathrooms are clean, the kids are always having fun with the climbers or water area as well. We fed the Giraffes, it was a wonderful experience led by the staff.
Hannah B — Google review
The Zoo let you get very close to a variety of animals. Even allowing you to go behind the scenes into the animal hospital in the back, and see the both the indoor and outdoor enclosures for some animals to view them during colder days. I loved the very simple trail that lead you through all the exhibits, made it easy to stay on track and not get lost. The only downside is there was a very foul smell unlike anything I’ve ever smelt at zoo. It was present upon entering the property, parking lot, and all throughout the zoo itself.
Marie M — Google review
It's really small, so they don't have a lot of animals, but for kids, they have most of the important ones, like elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, the otters are fun to watch. Never saw the polar bear. It's clean, the staff seem nice, but it's a small zoo in a small city. $12.00 seemed steep for what you get, but I know it's expensive to feed and care for the animals.

I really enjoyed seeing all the animals with my family. We learned about many facts and behaviors of several of the animals. I appreciate the care that is being given to the animals as well as continuous education on what's best for them.
Karen C — Google review
An enjoyable day trip. Perfect for children. A linear park. Clean and well maintained. Walked through the zoo. Rode the tram car back to the parking area. Park lands surrounding the zoo are worth a trip back to explore the river gorge and walkway over the river.

Silver Lake Twin Drive In Theatre

Drive-in movie theater
Concerts & Shows
Theaters
Weekend film features on 2 outdoor screens, with a casual restaurant, mini-golf & more on-site.
This place is a haven out in the middle of the country. Since we were camping at Letchworth State Park, we thought we'd check it out and not realizing when we arrived, we missed out on the Wednesday Night All You Can Eat Italian Pasta. Great place with all kinds of activities.
John V — Google review
We love coming to this drive in! Screens are great, parking wonderful! Affordable especially for families. They have a real restaurant, not bad drive in food like some. We come out early, have a tasty dinner, enjoy miniature golf on occasion and love their theme nights. The bathrooms are super clean, again not like the other drive in. The help is friendly, and helpful. The car next to us needed their battery jumped and it was done fast and efficiently. They also have a pizza parlor, ice cream shop and great specials. Try the chicken bbq!

Silver Lake Drive-In delivered the perfect summer night out. We went to see Hit and Run, followed by the new Jurassic Park movie, and the whole experience was fantastic. The atmosphere was classic and cozy, with a great view of the screen from every spot. We grabbed pizza from the concession stand—fresh, hot, and way better than expected. Jurassic Park was thrilling and fun, with just the right amount of nostalgia and action. If you're looking for a laid-back night with good food, great movies, and that old-school drive-in charm, I highly recommend Silver Lake Drive-In.
April ( — Google review
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would give it a 10 star! I came here when I was a little girl and they only had screen one at the time. When I brought my little girl and my husband I was able to experience more of the park. The food is outstanding, it has everything you may want before watching your two movie. My daughter loved their blow up jump house, and the hoola contest. The putt-putt golf we all enjoyed. The price, is reasonable in my opinion for all that you can experience. Oh did I tell you about the game room, the ice cream and popcorn that you can have until your surgar is higher than a kite...lol. Screen 2 was only built recently within the last 5 to 10 years. I have not had the pleasure to experience screen 2. Both screens offer 2 movies each with intermission for bathroom break and concession stand refreshments. I don't know how their bathroom is on screen 2 but the bathroom on screen 1 could use an update with more stalls. That is my only issue. The employees are always polite, friendly, and very helpful. They have all kinds of activities during the week, where your family can have fun. So, if camping at Letchworth State Park, which is another great spot that I went to all the time. If your looking for fun family adventures Silver Lake is your go to spot! Come early grab a parking spot for your movie, Please, Note: that the parking tenants Do Not Allow campers, Trucks, SUVs to park up front as they block the view from cars. I believe the third or fourth row from the front are where those with trucks and SUV,s can park and campers are all the way to the grass in the last parking spot from the front. Then once you have purchased your movies you can go park at your screen 1, or 2. Show your ticket, get your hand stamped and walk through to another awesome part of the park where the food of your choice and family games await. My daughter and her friends enjoyed this spot, and as adults so did we. I highly recommend this out in the country spot of fun to unplug, relax and just have some great family fun. Cash, credit, and an ATM are available. There is a swing set, on the grass for sceeen 1 but it is old and needs an update. ENJOY!!!!

I have been coming here since I was a child… it’s one of my most favorite places to be all summer long. My children look forward to it and love it just as much as I did as a child! Thank you Rick & Susan our family appreciates you so much!
Maria S — Google review
We love this drive-in! It's worth the 70 minute drive for us. We go there every year as part of a tradition. Aside from the movies they have miniature golf, 2 eateries, an ice cream shop, an arcade, bounce houses for the kids, and they always have a limbo & hula hoop contest for the kids before the movies start. Great family fun!!
Dochoz — Google review
The car show, meals, miniature golf, arcade and ice cream were all great as usual. The disappointing thing was the Train Your Dragon (the kids movies came with grand kids to see) movie was the LATE show at 11:30. The Jurassic Park (a not so kid friendly movie) was the early one at 9:05. Should have called to verify.

I absolutely love this place, foods great and the atmosphere is so classy, been going to this place for years now and it never disappoints. Always looking to forward to coming back here for the food and for the movies.

Darien Lake Amphitheatre

Performing arts theater
Concerts & Shows
Sizable outdoor music venue at the Darien Lake Resort featuring many national artists.
This was my first time in Buffalo, the weather was perfect, and the venue was great! So clean, friendly staff, especially the ushers. I was there with the band so I actually got to see a lot more behind the scenes than most do and everything was just as consistent behind the scenes. The catering, the green rooms, showers, everything! Hospitality should be Darien Lakes middle name. I was extremely impressed. I run a very very very small venue in comparison to this but it definitely raised my own personal standards for excellence. Great job 👏
Andrew H — Google review
This is the first time I have attended a concert at this venue since the 90s and everything was far more organized than I remember. I hated attending concerts here back then because it always felt like pure chaos, but the Blink-182 concert was well organized from entering parking to getting into the venue and seated. Food vending has much improved along with bathroom access.
Cristy L — Google review
Great venue, good sound quality. Easy to get to, parking close to venue (ultra premiere parking right next to entrance). Very clean and safe environment.
Stephanie L — Google review
I wanted to give the theatre a 4 star instead of a 5 but it's not their fault I got stuck beside an idiot chain smoker that liked chatting. 😉 I loved the size of the beer cans and the drink selection. The seating was a bit tight, but it worked out pretty good overall. Luke Bryan concert helped make it a great experience I am sure. Better signage at the exit to direct people to campground vs exit might be helpful. Staff here was super friendly. They obviously don't allow park food staff to work at the amphitheater!
Steve M — Google review
Great venue. Usually I sit in the lawn as it is relaxed. I lay out a blanket and sit with some friends. I did go for the lumineers concert and I got ID by an undercover cop which was hilarious (I am well over 21). Other than that it was a great night :)

Went to Weird Al concert July 2025. 8p show. Puddles Pity Party was opener (omg.. he was great!!). About 78F w/no breeze. Parking fee for concert.. $30, $70, $110. Crazy. Circuitous path to get to amphitheater entrance. Clear bags allowed or rectangular wallet sized. If you have clear bag, you're in the "bag" line, else ur in the "no bag" line. Then onto the ticket line. Then another line to get to your seat. Seats are stadium style (fairly comfortable), but be warned: the layout is fairly flat, so it's hard to see over avg/tall people in front of you. And, there were lots of larger people all around us, so it was hot & cramped. Little buggy (gnats, flies, mosquitos). Bleh. Also, you can get food & bev once in amphitheater entrance. Plenty of booze options. I would not preference coming here again. Look for another venue.
RonnaJoL — Google review
Went to the Weird Al concert on 7-11-25. I use a electric wheelchair. There was a lot of handicapped parking, paved so wheelchairs and other mobility devices could be used with ease. I had a lawn ticket and it was easy to get to a good spot. I had a blast. 😀

They definitely stepped their game up compared to previous concerts. Smooth entrance and exit. VIP seating is pretty great if you get the opportunity.

Darien Lake Theme Park Entrance

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
Love this park. Got the season pass for myself and my 8 year old who can ride all the rides. We choose to do the water park on a completely separate day from rides as their is just too much to do. The prices of food and options will hurt your wallet so I suggest packing a PBJ and to go eat by the car. Lots of rides for the little ones as well. Never had a bad time here.
Kayleigh S — Google review
Severely lacking improvements. Used to go there a lot in the 90s as a child and it was kept better overall and my biggest complaint is the robbery on concessions. $23 for a slice of pizza and a water (small bottle). $11 for a small ice cream (normal size Dip N Dots). Same price for the custard (small). $11 for a pretzel (that's it) just a pretzel. The prices are just outrageous!!!! The ride times are extremely short (about 2 minutes) I guess it keeps the lines shorter that way (who knows but all the rides were extremely short). I went on a Thursday and noticed a lot of rides were closed along with many of the overpriced games. Lack of staff? Saving money by reducing staffing until the weekend? Who knows. All I can say is this- They have taken the famous Big Ferris Wheel out and didn't invest in anything to replace it with, just the slabs of concrete bases it used to sit on. It's actually sad. Nothing new as far as rides have been added in a very long time (since the Super man Ride of Steel)? Seems like the management have given up and at this point are trying to milk customers for everything it's worth in concessions before selling out to another company. Sad, a real shame.
Robert H — Google review
Overall we had a great time, unfortunately the water park was closed but it was the end of August. Rides were great, something for everyone. Lines were reasonable and vary throughout the day. Food options were limited and grossly overpriced. Tables were sticky and not clean, roof water dripping on the table (lost a star easily for this alone). The paid go-karts were boringly slow, definitely the slowest I’ve ever experienced (lost .5 star). Staff were pleasant. We all look forward to our next year’s visit when the waterpark is open!
Jonathan D — Google review
We were just at the park camping this weekend. We went right when it opened at 11 to go to Rde is Steel. But it didn’t open until around 11:30. Not impressed. Then a couple of the main rollercoasters were closed for the season? We brought our own food. But I can see why people were complaining the food prices were high. Our camp site and the laser show at the end of the day were both great!

First time here. Was decent experience.Staff was friendly.Had to go through security search was odd we dont do that in Canada. The biggest complaint was getting season passes there was not goid information regarding id n such after buying passes. We had to make 2nd trip back to our motel in Attica paid extra for this. Other then that was good experience. Food was bit pricey so we bought the day food upgrade.Since we do not drive made it difficult to get back n forth from Attica. Totally enjoyed my 4 days there.I will find six flags locations to go to there are easier when person doesn't drive.

Fantastic. Perfect day. First time going in 15 years.
Rebecca B — Google review
It was ok! It has been many years since I have visited and it seems like it has gone downhill but we had a good time. The cost for everything is very high! One thing that was concerning, a child was not tall enough for the rollercoaster and was still let on. The worker was trying to do the right thing but other patrons were yelling to let her on and unfortunately the pressure must have got the best of her because the child was let on the ride. That was absolutely not ok. I have lost a child and it's not something you ever want to experience. I wouldn't trust the attendants to make sure your child is safe to go on the ride.

Variety store
Shopping
Vidler's 5 & 10, Inc. is a historic store located in East Aurora, offering a wide range of products from cookware to penny candies for over 80 years. The store's two floors are filled with nostalgic and old-fashioned charm, reminiscent of Woolworths from decades ago but on a more personal scale.
What a neat place to visit. Very large store with all kinds of knickknacks and such. You could browse for about an hour and not see everything. Definitely a cool place to go on a Sunday or Saturday afternoon. Things you never know you needed you can buy there. You always end up buying something. It’s a real fun place for the whole family with kids stuff there as well everything is priced reasonably. It’s nestled in the small town of East Aurora. A lot is walkable from there. Enjoy.

The old school five and dime. You'll find things that you never knew existed and things that you haven't seen in years. Prices are decently reasonable and service is good. True old fashioned building adds charm to this landmark. Well worth the 2-hour drive for me. Like the ads used to say, follow 20A to East Aurora and look for the Vidler on the roof.

A very interesting and amazing place to visit. Especially the drive out during fall. So many different items. Gorgeous snow globes. Candles, candy and toys. The people who work here are so friendly and helpful. You cannot be disappointed visiting Vidlers.

Wonderful store to browse. Lots of vintage things, huge selection of candy, toys, kitchen essentials. Friendly staff.

Great service! The lady at the other end of the store was able to check us out (it is actually a big store!) She was very kind. We explored all the toys they had there and all the smells at the candle/smells room. Lots of toys for kids there.
Daniel S — Google review
A HUGE 5 and dime, biggest in the world,I hear. They have everything from pots and pans to models and toys and candles and Buffalo Bills collectibles and candy and stuffed animals and the list goes on and on. There's an elevator that will hold two people in case you don't do stairs so well. Street entrance is to the second floor, entrance in the back is too the first floor. Plan to stay a while if you like to browse. Prices are a bit high for many items, but that's to be expected in a tourist attraction. I enjoyed my visit.

Hamburg Gaming

Casino
Casinos & Gambling
Hamburg Gaming is a casino with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Visitors appreciate the affordable food and beverage prices, as well as the clean and safe environment. The no-smoking policy inside the casino is also a plus, with a designated area for smokers. Employees have had positive experiences working for Delaware North Corp at Hamburg Gaming, finding everyone to be welcoming and friendly. Additionally, one visitor shared their excitement about winning $60 more than they came in with after having an enjoyable time at the casino.
Like Notre Dame Football, Hamburg Gaming Is Built on Tradition… and Winning.” Walking into Hamburg Gaming felt like walking out of the tunnel at Notre Dame Stadium — electric, full of promise, and just a little bit luck-of-the-Irish. Except instead of Marcus Freeman dialing up defensive schemes, it was me, hammering that slot machine like it owed me money — and friends, it paid. This place is a cathedral of clinks, flashing lights, and culinary miracles. The food? Let’s just say the chicken sandwich I devoured had more flavor than Penn State’s offensive playbook. The mozzarella sticks? Crispy on the outside, cheesy in the middle — just like Ohio State fans when the Buckeyes blow another big game. Now, I know some people say casinos are all about losing. That’s true — if you're wearing a scarlet and gray hoodie. But here? Hamburg Gaming is for winners. For champions. For people who believe in excellence, tradition, and maybe a little supernatural luck — aka the same people who believe in Notre Dame football. Marcus Freeman would be proud of my discipline at the slots. I showed poise, patience, and the strategic mindset of a man ready to beat Clemson on a Saturday night. I didn’t just play — I executed. I walked in with $40, walked out with enough cash to cover three stadium beers and a soft pretzel at an Irish home game (aka a small fortune). So if you’re looking for glitz, glamor, great eats, and a break from the mediocrity of Big Ten disappointment, come to Hamburg Gaming. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like it’s 1988, and Lou Holtz just handed you the keys to glory. GO IRISH. PLAY SLOTS. EAT CHICKEN. WIN MONEY.

Came early for dinner but didn't want the buffet so ordered from the bar. Bar staff is great but they were overwhelmed with drink and food orders. We ordered at 5:30 and waited over an hour for our food. Another table waited 2 hours. We spoke with a female manager about our experience. Her response was that the customers are very happy with the buffet. Unfortunately the regular bar patrons are not happy but that didn't seem to matter. We later spoke with Rob, he was extremely understanding, listened very patiently and did what he could to take care of one of the tables that still hadn't gotten their order after 2 hrs. He is an asset to Delaware North as well as the bar tender, Rich, who was also very helpful and did his best given the situation. This is a good example for how to handle a negative situation. Well done Rob and Rich!

Sights & Landmarks
The Martin House, a masterpiece designed by Frank Lloyd Wright between 1903 and 1905, is located in the Buffalo Parkside neighborhood. Recognized as one of Wright's greatest works, this Prairie-style estate showcases his signature architectural elements such as horizontal planes, open-concept interior with stained glass windows including the custom Tree of Life window. The site offers guided tours through the first-floor rooms, pergola, conservatory, and carriage house where visitors can view Wright-designed furnishings and fixtures.
This place is absolutely breathtaking. It is a marvel of buildings what they have done on rebuilding it is just absolutely spectacular. It is such a beautiful valued building and walking through. It is just a walk-through history. It is so inspiring to go to and I highly recommend everyone to go there and learn more about Frank Lloyd Wright and this building and the reason why it was built if you don’t go and visit this building, you’re missing out visit Buffalo!!!

I took the 75-minute tour today and absolutely loved it. Lou was my guide and he did a great job. I've been to around a dozen or so Frank Lloyd Wright properties, and this was the most spectacular. The property is sprawling, the home is meticulously restored, and the landscaping is so beautiful. This is a must do in Buffalo for any architectural buffs.
Kevin L — Google review
We took the 2 hr tour. Parking is in the surrounding streets and watch the signage for allowed days and times. Tickets were on every car illegally parked. The house is obviously impressive and massive. Being fairly tall, I really didn't care for the areas with low ceilings that were intended by wright to either move you along or to sit down. Interior woodworking was impeccable and outside construction flawless. The guide seemed focused on minute details of the owners life and family rather than the house. But it was informative and very well run.
Steve T — Google review
Frank Lloyd Wright architecture lovers will be very excited to see the restoration and current condition of this beautiful piece of residential art! Every detail was understood and perfectly restored to its original condition. Part of the house and an adjacent FLW home were destroyed in the past and all of it was rebuilt to exacting details and materials. As soon as you step into the home, it takes your breath away with sights, lights and sounds like no other home. It is not Renaissance grand, but it is FLW grand and I like that better. The warmth of the woods, the glass that makes the light talk to you and the art all over the house secretly disguised as furniture are all amazing. The docents were professional, very knowledgeable that provided just enough time for guests to stop walk around and take it all in. They answered questions politely with additional stories about the family and additional history bits. There are several choices of options for the tour with progressively longer and more complete tours of the home, adjacent buildings, and grounds. I highly recommend touring this Frank Lloyd Home in Buffalo!

The tour began with an excellent video laying the background for the design and building of the estate. Dave, our tour guide, was a wealth of information, and very entertaining. He was able to respond to all questions. We took the two hour tour, which I would highly recommend. We went in October, but I would love to return in spring/summer when the gardens are in bloom.
Amy C — Google review
What a spectacular place! My family enjoyed hearing about the history of the home and the relationship between Mr. Wright and Mr. Martin and their partnership in building this house. The house has been beautifully restored and is a treasure. Our volunteer guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the property. We are glad to have gotten a membership and look forward to returning.

Amazing tour. We took the 2 hours tour and it surprisingly went very quickly. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the house, the history of the person that commissioned the house to be built, FLW, and the neighborhood. Even if tour are not a fan of FLW, you will enjoy this tour of the property.

Nestled in the scenic Delaware Park, The Buffalo Zoo stands as a testament to wildlife conservation and education since its establishment in 1875, making it the third-oldest zoo in the United States. This charming destination is perfect for families and animal lovers alike, featuring an impressive array of mammals, reptiles, and birds. Visitors can engage with nature through interactive experiences like giraffe feedings or exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of fascinating exhibits such as Sea Lion Cove and Rainforest Falls.
I have to say my favorite was the polar bear. He was active and so cute ! Very clean zoo. The baby goat are clean. I literally have nothing bad to say about this zoo. It wasn't even crowded. At the time when we visited they has beautiful lantern art up as well which we loved. The giraffe was also a highlight for my kids as well. Mostly learning g some cool fun facts from the staff made it even more cool. Definitely loved how educational and fast given the staff was throughout.

This zoo may be small in size but it is really nice. They have so many cool animals like Hyenas, Snow Monkeys, Seals, Polar Bears and of course Buffalo, as well as so much more. The Hyena I saw was so cute. Also apparently I went there while they were celebrating their 150th anniversary so there were a bunch of big light up displays and animal figures. I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. It is a lot of fun.

A wonderful zoo with friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging staff. The zoo is very easy to navigate and isn't so large that you feel like you can't see everything in a timely manner. My wife and I purchased the giraffe encounter and that was just the icing on the cake. I would highly encourage you to look at and purchase an encounter to get a behind the scenes look that you can't get otherwise.

Very skimpy on animals. Good for a nice walk on a good day. I hope they turn it into an animal rescue site and rehab . We don't really need to cage more wild animals but great if born in captivity or a rescue. I understand the eagles can't fly doe to injury, the animals there are well taken care of and look really healthy.
Tim K — Google review
Waste of money. This was the worst zoo I have ever been to $60 plus for 3 people plus parking! 0 out of 10 do not recommend. The animals looked like they were unalived. The lions looked half starved. The animals barely moved. The polar bear which was the highlight of the visit looked miserable sitting in dry dirt. No water in sight or anything for the poor guy. This place makes me see while animals should not be in cages. They did not look happy at all. I wished I could have saved them from their despair. Poor things. Do better for the animals. Also they were decorating but not decorating. Just had junk laying everywhere in piles even blocking walk ways. Very unprofessional and unpleasant in my opinion. Awful place 😖

Once again a visit for the 'Zoomagination'. 🎊 This event never disappoints. Best viewed in the later evening hours, but come early enough to check out a show. 👍 Easy walking,🚶‍♂️ but a bit of it to do, to see all the displays. Most of the animals are asleep, or the areas are closed, so not an extra distraction. Light displays are spectacular and well done, with some being interactive. Great for all ages! Don't miss this amazing event ❤️ while its here! Run, don't walk! 😉

Our first trip to the Buffalo Zoo as we were passing through the area was great. A smaller zoo but with plenty of animals to see. It is an older zoo, 150 years old, and some areas are very dated, but you can see they are working to update all the areas. They were setting up for the Zoo Lantern Festival that looks like it is going to be amazing. We spent about 4 hours at the zoo and still didn't get to everything. I guess it just means another trip back when we are passing through Buffalo again.

The Buffalo Naval Park is a must-visit for those passionate about naval history and military enthusiasts. It houses three decommissioned naval vessels, along with tanks, jets, and historical exhibits. The park offers a unique glimpse into America's rich naval heritage and allows visitors to explore the interiors of ships and submarines, providing an immersive experience into the daily lives of soldiers.
Really nice boardwalk area with a lot of activities and food on the canalside. And the naval park itself has a good amount of history available with a small museum above the gift shop. We didn't go on the ship itself but they had that option available but still very interesting for the walk around and great scenery.

It was exhausting visiting these vessels on a 90+ degree day in Buffalo, but well worth it. Fortunately, they allow you to leave and come back at your leisure so we were able to tour the first ship, leave to get much needed refreshments, then return to finish the self guided tour. There is so much to see that it took about three hours and we still ended up skipping by some exhibits. Shorts and pants are best with comfortable footware to navigate all the narrow, steep stairs, small passageways and openings. Kudos to everyone who takes care of this park and these vessels to allow us to experience this part of history in such a beautiful setting.

Super cool opportunity to tour on board a naval ship and submarine. Like a walk back in time. Fantastic historical viewing. The volunteers working have impressive knowledge. The submarine is def tight and small in some sections while walking through. Educational and interesting!

We visited the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park during our trip to the U.S., and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As visitors from India, we were amazed to step aboard real American Navy ships and learn about their rich naval history. Walking through the USS Little Rock, USS The Sullivans, and the USS Croaker submarine felt like stepping back in time—it gave us such respect for the brave men and women who served. The volunteers and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They patiently explained everything to us and shared many interesting stories about the ships and their missions. Their passion and knowledge made our visit even more special. The museum inside is very well organized, with displays that highlight different aspects of military life. Even though we come from another country, we could deeply relate to the spirit of service and sacrifice that the park honors. The location by the Buffalo waterfront is beautiful—perfect for a stroll and photos after the tour. We highly recommend this place to fellow travelers, especially families from India or abroad. It’s not just a museum—it’s a meaningful experience that stays with you !

This was the best experience. We toured 3 navy vessels and walked through the memorial honoring those lost in battle. We highly recommend this activity. The volunteer guide expressed this to be the largest naval site for tourists located in the Midwest. We walked through the site in 4 hours.

Awesome spot to check out the US Navy ships! It's a permanent exhibit, but if you wanna go inside the ship and submarine, you gotta grab your ticket by 4 pm. You can see them from the dock anytime, though. Pretty cool !
Andrea P — Google review
It's a nice spot for a memorial to those lost at war. It was closed for tours while I was in town, but still had plenty to look at. I didn't see pics of the Huey in reviews I scrolled through so I made sure to include some.
Kevin L — Google review
I had a genuinely enjoyable walk through the area, made even better by the perfect weather — pleasantly mild, with just the right amount of sunlight. The scenery was captivating, especially the sight of battleships and a submarine docked nearby. I even spotted a helicopter overhead, which added a dynamic touch to the experience. The combination of military history and peaceful surroundings made for a memorable outing that felt both relaxing and visually engaging.

Modern art museum
The Buffalo AKG Art Museum, formerly known as the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, has recently undergone a major transformation and expansion. The museum now features an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art in its renovated 1905 Greek Revival building as well as new gallery and community spaces. Visitors can admire works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Warhol, Monet, Stieglitz, Rodin, and Arp.
Awesome varied collection. All sorts of styles were represented, well displayed. Every room we walked through had a museum employee to answer questions. There's also an interactive area for children (it was Lego, so I stopped and played too). Looks like new exhibit areas are coming too. Nice flow.

We had a great time visiting the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, especially taking advantage of the free admission on the first Friday of the month. The atmosphere was fantastic — peaceful, inspiring, and perfect for exploring art. The architecture of the museum itself is beautiful, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Inside, the collection of art is truly impressive, with a great mix of contemporary and classic pieces. It’s a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, and we’re looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommended!

Never disappoints! The AKG is where I was first inspired by art, and it’s priceless to see that light shine in the little ones I now bring there. Creativity is ALIVE here, through excellent curation, community interaction, and convivial staff. The building is so well designed and has the most beautiful park views in Buffalo. Pro tip: head to The Terrace afterwards (a restaurant right across from the back entrance by the lake) for a more relaxed meal and cocktails than Cornelia. There’s a beautiful view of the original museum exterior from the restaurant and you’ll walk amongst some outdoor sculptures on your way.

Had a bestie date here to specifically experience the Yayoi Kusama exhibit: One with Eternity. The exhibit was so much fun and an awesome interactive experience. Beautiful museum, and I appreciate the on-site parking also! I plan on purchasing a membership soon especially with winter coming so I have a reason to leave the house and what better reason is there than art?!

Incredible museum. No spoilers. A must visit for locals and visitors. The staff is friendly and ready to answer questions. The restaurant Cornelia offers a dynamic menu, and you can order at the bar if you prefer to eat under Common Sky (canopy of glass and mirrors). The enclosed glass walkway and the Gundlach building are stunning additions. The bathrooms are always clean and classy (the doors reach the floor, a nice upgrade for a public restroom).
Origami S — Google review
This is a great art museum with a lot of really beautiful and fascinating pieces including a lot by famous artists. And while I didn’t quite understand and was very confused by some of the more avant-garde pieces, I still quite enjoyed checking it out. Definitely worth giving a look if you’re an art lover or know someone who is.

Buffalo provides a respectable modern art experience for visitors. You will not find any ancient artifacts at the AGK since they were auctioned off to fund the shift to modern art. You will have to go to the MAG in Rochester or to NYC and visit The Met for those experiences. That aside, there are some significant pieces of art by Rodin, Dali, Warhol, Pollock, Kahlo, Matisse, Kandinsky, Seurat, Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh & Cezanne. I'm not a fan of modern art in particular, but I do appreciate the opportunity to discover new artists that I enjoy like Mickalene Thomas , Gary Simmons or Frank Moore. The collection of art by more widely known artists makes it worth the trip, even if you're not a fan of modern art. Other reviewers have mentioned how security tends to hover over visitors and I did notice that on our visit. It was a bit odd at first, but I decided to ignore it and not let it bother me. Our stop at the cafe was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed our cappuccino, latte, and scone, which were well made and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. A map of the museum with exhibit locations should be provided for visitors, but we were not offered one and there wasn't an up to date digital copy available.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Graycliff

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Lakeside summer estate designed by Frank Lloyd Wright offers historical & architectural tours.
Amazing experience seeing FLW’s artistry. Our guide was full of knowledge. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Buffalo- hopefully the visitors center will be completed! FYI a reservation is needed to do the tour. Get your tickets online or call their number
A S — Google review
I have been been to a number of Frank Lloyd Wright masterpieces around the NE including Falling Water and Polymath Park. I have to say, Graycliff was my least favorite project. First, our docent was mildly annoying but whatever, she was knowledgeable and probably works for free or nearly free. The grounds were under construction and had to park in the mud as there was no space. Porta potties on site, smelled and were leaning over. Gates and dust all over... in my option just fully close it and finish visitor center and do repairs on maintenance on HOUSE duriing downtime. The grounds and exterior elevations of the house are impressive but the interior is stoic and depressing. Boring, lacking any charm or impact just looked like any old cottage I could buy. Upstairs is easily the most drab, horrible string of spaces of any hour tour I paid for. Small, cramped and all the flair of a medium security prison. The grounds are in shambles, huge weeds and trees obscure any lake view they reference evey 5 mins. Overall, it appeared run down, shingles, paint, rot, warped wood... even FLW didn't care about his Graycliff renos after clients changed aspects.
Dave P — Google review
Mike C our tour guide was personable and knowledgeable. This Frank Lloyd Wright space is a little different than some of the other typical ones you may come across on tours, but just as viable and interesting historically as well as design aesthetic. Definitely must see for many Frank Lloyd Wright fan.
Michael M — Google review
For now, by appointment only, but they're building a new visitor's center over the next year, so that should be great! Wonderful how it is now though and the Docent was extremely nice and informative. Definitely worth the visit.
Patrick V — Google review
A must see for Frank Lloyd Wright fans. Sited on a beautiful lakeside lot, the house is currently mostly empty with a bare minimum of furniture to show the rooms’ potential. Many design details typical of FLW including custom windows, oak built-ins, and beautiful views from each room. Volunteers who clearly love this place offer guided tours, so reservations are a must. Though still in the throes of a multi-million dollar restoration, the grounds are exciting. There is no lake access. Definitely worth the drive from Buffalo.
Susan S — Google review
We had an amazing docent who was very knowledgeable about the property. I was more intrigued by the history of the property, its ownership and how it came to be, not that it was designed and built by a famous architect. The stories told by our docent made it come alive and I could feel the history and presence of tranquility that the owners achieved and must have felt when they enjoyed their summers on such a marvellous property. We will be back again and cannot wait to see the annual changes with the restoration efforts of dedicated volunteers and new visitor center next year!
Leigh W — Google review
A walk along a visionary legend this is a incredible tour. A guided tour that passes along a lot of information on Frank Lloyd Wright his work and life. A must when visiting the western area of New York
Tommy S — Google review
Our tour guide, Marion, was a wealth of knowledge. Having seen the Martin House the day before, and knowing some background of the family, this was a natural next stop on our trip. What a delightful contrast, just 20 years or so after the completion of the Martin House. Shows the tastes of his wife, Isabelle, with the wonderful, light feeling. Although the visitor center was under construction, it didn't impact the tour. Wonderful visit!

The Butterfly Conservatory is a captivating venue where you can witness over 2,000 butterflies fluttering in a lush rainforest setting. It's one of the many must-see attractions at Niagara Falls State Park, offering an immersive experience with nature. The conservatory provides an opportunity to observe these beautiful creatures up close and learn about their habitat. It's a perfect family-friendly destination that offers an educational and enchanting experience for visitors of all ages.
I’d give 20 stars if I could! Everything was spotless and well maintained. The $20 entry fee was totally worth it. The moment you step inside, you can feel the amazing energy — butterflies are flying all around you, and the view is absolutely beautiful. If you love butterflies, this place is a must-visit! The staff was super friendly, and don’t miss the free rose garden outside.
Yamicelys R — Google review
Absolutely beautiful experience! The Butterfly Conservatory is like stepping into a tropical paradise — warm, lush, and full of color. There are literally hundreds of butterflies flying all around you, landing on flowers, and sometimes even on you if you stand still long enough! 🦋 The place is super well-maintained and peaceful, with little walking paths surrounded by waterfalls and tropical plants. It’s perfect for photos and honestly feels like you’ve escaped into another world for a bit. The educational displays before entering are short but interesting, especially for kids. Such a relaxing and magical spot — definitely worth visiting if you’re in Niagara Falls. Great for families, couples, or anyone who wants a quiet break from the busier attractions. 🌿✨

We wanted a kid and baby-friendly activity for our mini getaway and am so glad we opted for this. We’ve been to Niagara Falls dozens of times but had never thought to explore this gem and we were so glad we did. We spent less than an hour here (thank you previous Google reviewers about the paid parking tip and only needing an hour!) yet it felt much longer. Adults, kid and baby were so enchanted by the exotic beauty of the thousands of gorgeous butterflies fluttering around. What a treat it was to be in their domain and admire in awe and wonder. It is humid of course so recommend to come in a t-shirt, regardless of the actual weather outside. We had our baby in a baby carrier and it worked out wonderfully; saw some other babies in strollers and preferred having a baby carrier as it allowed us to navigate easily on the paths. Gift shop was a lovely browse too; purchased a cute hologram butterfly bookmark for our son to remember this conservatory every time he reads. Highly recommended!

Cool small dome filled with many butterflies and tropical plants. I was impressed by the number of butterflies, but expected a little more variety of types. 20-30 minutes is plenty to see everything. Kind of expensive at over $20 for an adult and $8 parking in the lot. I would say it's worth stop if it's part of an included package...probably dont need to go out of your way to see just that unless you are a big butterfly fan.

If I could give this place more stars, I would. This was an AMAZING experience that felt like pure joy and relaxation at the same time. There were so many absolutely stunning butterflies of all different kinds. 10/10 recommend this place whether you’re traveling, just trying to get the family out of the house, or even for a fun date. I cannot express how beautiful this place and experience was. After the experience there’s a cute gift shop, as well as gorgeous gardens and even a cafe! Definitely a highlight of my vacation!

I’ve been here TWO times for my birthday, i LOVE it. I also really love Kyle, one of the workers there. he’s just like me. Tell Kyle he’s awesome. He might not remember me but i’m the pale boy with long-ish brown hair. Anyway, the butterflies are beautiful, the orange ones with yellow spots usually do not like touching me for some reason. remember to look for butterflies who are resting on the floor and pick them up and put them on a leaf so they don’t get stepped on! I recommend this place for insect enjoyers.

October 2025 review. I love butterflies. I been to Key West (Florida) butterfly conservatory as well, I find Niagara is probably bigger, has more variety of plants, trees and number of butterflies. STILL I find experience 45$ including tax for 2 adult people and 2 hour 16$ parking if you wanna enjoy garden and butterflies - way over priced and overvalued! Regardless how beautiful it all is - I still don't think it really worth 61$ for 2 hours being here. Alex Garden or Rosetta McClain Gardens (free parking) (Toronto) are absolutely free and as impressive as Nigara Botanical Garden. The city should cover some cost or at least offer free 2 hour parking. Tourist should not be treated as walking wallets.
Spirit B — Google review
There was no wait when we arrived, which was great. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes — there's so much to see outdoors! The gardens are beautiful and very well-maintained, and there's also a cafe on-site if you want to grab a bite. The conservatory itself isn't very large and was a bit crowded when we visited, so we only spent a few minutes inside before heading out. There's also a gift shop, though it's mostly stocked with souvenirs and items for young kids. The real highlight is definitely the outdoor space. We loved exploring the gardens, and there’s even a golf course nearby. Highly recommended for a relaxed day out in nature!

Botanical garden
Established in 1936, the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens is a sprawling European-style garden spanning 40 hectares. It showcases an array of plants from around the globe, including allees, roses, herbs, and vegetables. The site also houses one of Canada's largest conservatories where visitors can observe butterflies up close and partake in educational programs focused on horticulture. Additionally, the gardens offer indoor and outdoor spaces for students to learn about plant life and for families to enjoy nature.
Visiting the Niagara Falls Botanical Gardens was such a lovely experience. The grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained, surrounded by vibrant flowers, majestic trees, and lush greenery at every turn. Within the same area is the Butterfly Conservatory — though it was closed during my visit, it’s definitely on my list for next time. Even without it, the gardens themselves were breathtaking — the perfect spot to stroll, reflect, and capture timeless photos. A truly beautiful place for peaceful walks, weddings, or special occasions.

Very picturesque with lots of garden spaces to explore including an arboretum and rose garden. There's even a pond area with lots of frogs and a few painted turtles. Not a long walk but well worth a visit. It is free and located right beside the butterfly conservatory.

🌿 Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens – A Peaceful Oasis Near the Falls The Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens is a hidden gem just a short drive from the main Niagara Falls attractions. This beautifully maintained 99-acre garden is perfect for those seeking a peaceful and scenic escape from the busy tourist areas. The gardens are stunning in every season, but especially vibrant in late spring and summer. The rose garden, featuring over 2,400 roses, is a must-see and smells incredible when in full bloom. The butterfly conservatory, located on-site, is a magical experience where you can walk among hundreds of free-flying butterflies in a lush tropical setting. The entire park is free to enter (excluding the Butterfly Conservatory), with wide walking paths and plenty of shady spots for relaxing. It’s also home to the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, so you’ll see some impressive displays and rare plant varieties. Whether you’re a nature lover, photographer, or just want a quiet place to stroll, the Botanical Gardens are a beautiful and refreshing part of any Niagara Falls visit. ⭐️ Highlights: • Free admission to the gardens • Stunning rose and herb gardens • Peaceful, well-maintained grounds • Butterfly Conservatory (extra fee but worth it) • Ideal for a relaxing walk or picnic

Experience the power and beauty of the largest rapids in North America at White Water Walk, located just four kilometers downstream of Niagara Falls. After a quick elevator ride, visitors can stroll along a wooden boardwalk that runs alongside the river through the narrow Niagara Gorge, offering stunning views of rock layers dating back over 400 million years.
Absolutely loved this spot! The White Water Walk is such a peaceful and underrated experience in Niagara Falls. You get to stroll right alongside the insanely powerful rapids of the Niagara River — the water’s speed and strength are just unreal when you see it that close. The boardwalk is super clean and well-maintained, and it’s not crowded like the main Falls area, so you can actually take your time and enjoy the views. The sound of the rushing water and the mist in the air make it feel almost unreal. It’s a short walk but totally worth it — great for photos, relaxing, or just taking a break from the busier attractions. Highly recommend this if you want something calm but still incredibly scenic. Definitely a must-do in Niagara! 🌊💙

White Water Walk is one of the most peaceful yet awe-inspiring experiences in Niagara. The boardwalk takes you right beside the Class 6 rapids, and the sheer power of the water is incredible to witness up close. The pathway is well maintained, easy to walk, and offers plenty of great photo spots. It’s a quieter attraction compared to the main Falls area, which makes it perfect if you want to enjoy nature without the big crowds. The sound of the rushing water and the views along the gorge make it a really refreshing experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Niagara — a short, scenic, and unforgettable walk! 🌊📸

The White Water Walk offers a beautiful and refreshing experience. From the manmade wooden boardwalk, you get an up-close view of the turbulent, emerald-green Niagara River as it rushes through the narrow gorge. The naturally eroded rock formations add a scenic and calming element to the walk. The short tunnel from the elevator to the boardwalk adds a nice touch to the overall experience. While there is some waiting time for the elevator both going down and back up, it’s manageable. There’s also a souvenir shop at the exit where you can pick up gifts and memorabilia. Overall, a pleasant and worthwhile experience, especially for nature lovers and those looking for a peaceful walk with stunning views.
Ajay S — Google review
It's a beautiful short walk just the entrance fee seems to be a bit much for what you get. (Also the reason for the 3* rating) Still happy we did it and I can cross it off my list now. Nice views. Sadly the platform closest to the river was closed off. The selfie point is useless couldn't find my picture but was offered (online by the system) to download other people's pictures. Very questionable in my opinion. Would recommend going early when the sunlight still hits the water giving you the most vibrant colours The wait was long. Clean area. Wheelchair and stroller mostly accessible - exceptions are the lookout platforms.

Walking through the White Water Walk was one of the most peaceful yet powerful experiences I’ve had. The sound of the rushing water, the cool breeze, and being so close to the rapids made me feel connected to nature in a whole new way. The boardwalk gives you incredible views of the whitewater and the sheer force of the river is just amazing to witness up close. It’s one of those experiences that pictures just don’t do justice you really have to see and feel it for yourself. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Niagara Falls.

Walk was nice, but short.. 1 elevator for a bunch of people gets very crowded. Not sure if white water walk gives free parking, but we had to pay the expensive price of $8/ per hour! Staff were nice, lineup to go back up the elevator is very long… Overall a good experience just the elevator thing is very complicated and crowded

We recently visited White Water Walk and it was absolutely beautiful! The view of the rapids was breathtaking — watching the power and intensity of the water up close was truly mesmerizing. It’s a peaceful and scenic experience, and a great spot to take in the raw natural beauty of Niagara. I recommend coming early when it opens — it’s much quieter and gives you the chance to enjoy the views without the crowds. A must-visit if you’re looking for a more tranquil and awe-inspiring stop in Niagara Falls!

The Niagara Glen Nature Centre, located near the Niagara River, is a picturesque nature destination offering guided hiking tours through rugged paths in the Carolinian Forest and along the Niagara River Whirlpool. Visitors can also enjoy bouldering and a picnic pavilion, as well as snacks and souvenirs. This serene pocket of nature has been designated as an official Nature Reserve since 1992 and provides stunning views of lush forest and spectacular boulders left behind by the Falls thousands of years ago.
I am overwhelmed after my hiking trip today! A must visit place for those who love hiking and being surrounded by nature. I took the river trail, which has some areas a bit tricky. A good pair of hiking shoes can take care of it. About the view, I have no words to describe how amazing it is! the turquoise water, sound of forceful Niagara river at places as well as the calm and quiet nature of the river at certain areas- everything is just wholesome! There are multiple points along the trail where you can see the different nature of the same river! Also at times, the energy of the whirlpool jet riders make it more enjoyable! We saw quite a lot of those boats during our hike. Anybody who is reading the review, I hope you enjoy the same or even more than I enjoyed there!

Easy to drive there with lots of paid parking. Big washrooms at the entrance. Scenic view along the trail is amazing. It is suitable for families, friends and even elders. Difficulty of the main loop is below moderate, it may take 1 - 1.5 hours casually.

Such a great little hike in Niagara. $8/hour to park, but it’s worth it. Well maintained trails with lots of hikers of all skill levels, plus rock climbers everywhere. It’s nicely shaded also, so it’s a great activity for a hot day. Lots of big boulders and small caves. I like to do the full loop, but the Cliffside trail has some nice big boulders to check out.

We hiked the main loop trail at Niagara Glen. The 2-kilometer path was mostly easy with a few moderate sections, and it offered breathtaking views of the Niagara River. The roaring rapids provided a dramatic backdrop, and we loved the extra thrill of watching the whirlpool jet boats zip by. The well-maintained and clearly marked trails made for a relaxing and enjoyable walk.

Niagara Glen - Hiking Should have posted last year but never too late. Niagara Glen is an amazing spot for hiking with some of the best views of the Niagara River and whirlpool. The trails take you right down into the gorge, surrounded by beautiful rock formations, lush forest, and super clear water. It feels like a hidden world away from the tourist crowds. Trails are a bit rugged in spots, so wear good shoes, but it’s totally worth it. Great place for nature lovers, hikers, and photographers. One of the most underrated gems near Niagara Falls! FYI- Please take a big water bottle, its a bit tiring hike. I did see some people rock climbing as well.

We recently hiked the main loop trail at the Niagara Glen Trails and had a great experience. The trails are well maintained, clearly marked, and incredibly scenic. The staff at the Nature Center were very friendly and helpful. The center itself is well-designed and maintained. I did notice a few plastic bottles littered along the path. It's a request to all the visitors to be respectful of the forest and help preserve it for everyone. We only explored the main loop trail this time, but we’re looking forward to coming back and checking out the other trails.

This place has officially become my new favorite hiking spot. The trails are beautifully maintained and offer just the right mix of adventure and serenity. I even stumbled upon a hidden lookout point facing the water, it genuinely felt like it was waiting for me to discover it. The view was so breathtaking, it actually made me emotional. Highly recommend to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and a bit of soul searching.

Had an amazing wine tasting experience! Michael was super friendly and informative - he walked us through the different wines with food pairings. The location is right across from the lake which adds for a nice stroll after. I would highly recommend this winery!!

We discovered this winery on our last trip up here and had an amazing tasting and experience so we signed up for thier club membership. Since they cant mail to the US they are willing to hold our boxes for us until we can come up and pick them up (at no additional charge). We came up this week to pick up our month subscription boxes and had another lovely tasting, this time on the patio with thier wine slushies as well and thier amazing pulled pork pizza.

Found this cute winery with old barrels at the curb. Thought we'd check it out after the farmstead pointed us this way. Oh my.. the pulled pork pizza was yummy delicious. The flight was amazing. The slushy merlot was great... we both had a great first time thanks

While we were a bit disappointed that the sensory garden was closed for a private event during our first visit, our sommelier Michael made it a great experience. He tailored our tasting to our individual tastes, often making suggestions of wines he thought we would like or were a better option than what we selected. Next time we come to Reif, we'll definitely be making a reservation ahead of time based on how busy it was in the last hour.

This is a beautiful place to visit if you’re interested in learning about winemaking. They offer guided tours that take you through various parts of the property, providing insights into the entire wine production process. Tickets cost around $25 per adult and $15 per child. However, you might be able to find a $5 discount coupon on the Niagara Parks website—it’s worth checking online beforehand. The front desk staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which adds to the overall positive experience. During the tour, they offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, making it suitable for all visitors. Inside the building, there’s a wide selection of wine bottles available for purchase. I highly recommend this place if you’re curious about how wine is made or simply want to explore a well-organized and informative winery.

It's such a beautiful little spot to visit. The food is incredible! The charcuterie, the chunky Greek salad, the pizza and the guilty burger, even without the bun. Delicious! And not too expensive! The one place untouched by inflation. We booked our wedding here 7 years ago, came back to visit and the prices are the exact same. Such underrated wine! The best wine in Canada. Everyone was impressed with the wine at our wedding, I always give it as gifts and people are floored. This unknown gem! And they've built it up so much! So much more places to sit and eat. Keep up the great work!

We had such a fun time at Reif Estates! My boyfriend and I did their blind tasting and it was such a unique and engaging way to try their wines. It turned the whole experience into a little game—and made us pay even more attention to what we were tasting. Great wine, beautiful setting, and a really fun twist on a traditional tasting. Highly recommend!
