Amazing outlet mall!! Passing thru (NH resident here) brought my nephew to his 1st mall!! Got school clothes& shoes. Very impressed with the prices in multiple stores
While I was in the Detroit area, decided to visit this mall and was very pleasantly surprised. The mall has a large variety of different stores, many being discount outlets with good deals on their products. There was a large food court with a variety of restaurants and there are even some snack and food stores scattered throughout. Plenty of parking and very clean too. Seems to be a thriving mall and is great compared to others these days.
Wow!! This mall is very much thriving and packed full of great stores! This mall is what every mall in America should strive to be. The mall is very modern and architecturally fascinating inside, has a huge food court with a carousel, and the layout is very easy to follow along to see all the stores.
We walked the entire mall and stopped into many stores, I dont think I saw any empty storefronts and if I did it wasn't many at all. Every mall store you expect to see is located here, and more! There were lots of stores I haven't heard of before and they were all very clean, bright, and modern. Nothing was run down here, way to go!! Highly recommend shopping here, especially since its full of outlet stores where deals can be had!

Great outlet mall, has the best stores very big and just out right amazing. Loved all the things to do for the family while still having amazing shopping options for everyone. Food choices were pretty good from what I can see but didn't eat there to give a true review. Will I go back, absolutely and live almost 4 hours away.
This mall was the biggest mall I’ve been to yet! There were so many different stores, restaurants, and other places to visit! Me and my family went to Sea Life, and it was an experience we’ll never forget!
Great Lakes Crossing Outlets stores are not all bargains but you can definitely cash in on great deals. The food court was not good at least Popeye chicken was horrible and they didn't really speak English so they didn't honor their own coupon.

Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad is a charming 1800s-style lakeside village that boasts of 34 historic buildings and a fully operational train. The place is an ideal destination for families, especially during Christmas lighting and train rides. The train ride takes around 35 minutes round trip, offering breathtaking views of the light display on both sides.
What a beautiful place. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Their joy was infectious and my daughter and I really had such a great time that we want to return and bring others! Keep up the great work!

Beautiful day to spend here. My wife and kids had never been before. So many memories were made by them. The people working were friendly, courteous and very helping work information about the buildings and history.

We started building an HO scale railroad layout and thought it might be a good idea to do some research on railroads and older buildings. So off we went to Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad in Genesee County.
We purchased our tickets in advance on line. Before entering we walked by 2 beautiful gardens. One was a Monarch way station and the other was by Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
The day we went was the 43rd Annual Railfans weekend. What a fun place to visit 😃. All of the people working there were very friendly and helpful.
We walked around and looked inside many of the buildings and were able to obtain lots of information for the model train layout. We also did a scavenger hunt and a little village tour.
There were model railroad layout presented by several model railroad clubs.
If you get an opportunity to visit, do it! We plan on going back and spending more time in the village and will definitely be taking another train ride on Engine #152.
Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad is a great place to visit as a family! They always have cool Halloween attractions and they also have stuff during Christmas as well. Seeing, hearing, and being able to ride on an old school steam locomotive is a real treat as well!
I had a lot of fun here at Crossroads. It was cool and interesting to see all the different shops and exhibits scattered around the place. I espicaly enjoyed the school and the sawmill so I would definitely advise going there. In general, I found it really cool to explore some of the methods of doing things in the past that are just completely different nowadays.
The town is cute, but let’s be honest, we came for the train ride. We arrived over an hour early to get the caboose for the kids and were told the limit was 10 to 11 people. We even split our group so they could have that magical experience.
But the conductor added 12 extra people, cramming the caboose so full that kids were sitting on the floor and standing while the train was moving. It didn’t feel safe, and it definitely wasn’t special anymore.
The magic, the joy, and the excitement we came for were completely taken away. Our kids were heartbroken while the conductor focused only on the people he added. What’s the point of giving out caboose passes if they don’t mean anything? The magic was gone the moment that train left the station.
Beautiful place. If you live history this is the place. Every single place inside has a lot of tell you, you will find a host waiting in each one and in a very kind way, They will give you a lot of details of everything there, the older that is the person the better that si the story and kindness. My favorites places were the barber shop, the school, lumber, doctor’s office … anyways you need to see by yourself everything there. People extremely kind.
The Halloween event was great! Only thing disappointing is the train was sold out. They said they only run roughly three trains a day. Other than this it was great.

This is a great place to stop and get a small taste of Bavarian culture. There is a covered bridge here which you can walk or drive over. There was also a restaurant near the lodge and the food there is INCREDIBLE! They can serve it in courses or you can get some of it All You Can Eat. Almost everyone has to take a to-go box with them when they leave

This city is simply perfect, it's always a 10 in every way. It's worth visiting at any time of the year, as there's always something new to discover. The city is charming, beautiful, and magical, with an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in a dream. There are events and activities for all tastes and ages, making it ideal to visit with family or friends. The views are breathtaking, the strolls are pleasant, and the journey feels like you're inside a movie. The city has a special charm that makes you want to come back again and again.
Enjoyed a delicious fried chicken dinner. Came with all the sides of course. The coleslaw was tangy and delicious. The gravy, amazing. All the cheeses and breads and cottage cheese hit the spot. I’ve listed the menu here with the prices. It’s not for everyone. There’s is a lot of shopping in the walking area around the two main restaurants that serve the all you can eat chicken dinners. Great hotels to spend the night. Water park attached to the hotel. I’ve stayed in the past. Very nice and fun. Overall great for a weekend getaway or an afternoon.
I absolutely love the Frankenmuth River Shops! I make it a point to visit at least once a year, and each time is a delightful experience. This year, I'm especially excited for our trip; it’s the perfect small getaway for the family, filled with charm and activities to enjoy together.
The atmosphere at the River Shops is incredibly inviting, set within the enchanting Bavarian-style town of Frankenmuth. Strolling along the picturesque pathways lined with vibrant shops is a joy in itself. A fun place to spend the afternoon! Lots of little shops to visit and explore. Snacks, drinks and food are all around. In a mixture of old world charm in a fun setting right on the river. They have tons of events that take place on the weekends. Reenactment, dog show, car shows etc.

I came here specifically for cherry republic. I did find something in the cats and dogs shop. Otherwise, I pretty much enjoyed the Bavarian storefront. I wish this was similar to the Nelis' Dutch Village with German merchandise and German feel to it.
The owner was really nice. The tour cost was $18.00 for one hour. Well worth it. I highly recommend taking this tour well worth it.

The Big House, the historic 110,000-seat football stadium at the University of Michigan, hosted a free Spring scrimmage event that was enjoyable and recommendable. The game was entertaining, and some penalties and calls by referees made it even more amusing. Children were allowed to meet players, get autographs and step onto the field. The stadium is an impressive piece of real estate with a rich history that can be appreciated even by non-Michigan fans. Highly recommended for all visitors!
We were in the area and a Michigan home game was going down the day we were here so my son and I had to visit the Big House and watch the game. It is pretty unbelievable that over 107k people are watching a football game in the stadium with you. In any event seeing a game at Michigan Stadium was an awesome experience!

My buddy and I headed to the Big House on August 30, 2025, for Michigan’s season opener against New Mexico, and it was a blast! The stadium was electric with over 110,000 fans rocking maize and blue, roaring from kickoff to the final whistle. We soaked in the buzz of the night game, watching freshman QB Bryce Underwood sling his first touchdown and Justice Haynes tear it up with three scores. The Wolverines dominated, 34-17, but New Mexico’s trick plays kept us on our toes. Tailgating at the golf course beforehand, swapping stories, and cheering with the crowd made it an unforgettable day at the largest stadium in the country!
Visited "The Big House" for the Zach Bryan concert while it was at max. capacity!! I was surprised there were no long lines for food & drinks because concession wraps around the entire stadium. Also, that goes for the bathroom facilities. It should make you feel safe there was plenty of S.W.A.T & Police everywhere from the stadium to all the intersections.
Michigan's Football Michigan Stadium aka the Big House is an impressive stadium for the 110,000 fans that can fit into the stadium. The Food/Beverage areas, Bathrooms, and other amenities are in the outside walkways that offer all the amenities for the massive crowd. Out the top three biggest stadiums in the Big 10, it's the quietest home crowd, but it's great for watching the game action!
I mean, it's the Big House. Who doesn't love watching their favorite college team with 110k+ of your best friends. The atmosphere is amazing, the people are kind, they sell high noon (and let libations). The food choices are plentiful but it is a LARGE stadium. So be prepared to walk. Cashless venue, as are almost all of them these days. Buy a ticket, get there early, talk to people, and have a great time!
Hands down the biggest facility I have ever been to. Parking was pretty simple and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Seating was pretty easy to navigate as well as concessions. Was there for the largest ticketed music event in history ( Zac Brian with John Mayer). It was amazing.

The Canopy Walkway was also a treat to the flowers and trees from above. I enjoyed the Children's Garden tremendously. I learned a bit about some vegetables it may be easy to incorporate into my landscape and harvest for food - bonus! Highly recommend a visit to commune with nature and beauty for a few hours.

Enjoyable, relaxing, intriguing. Had a fabulous day wondering different paths throughout the gardens and your even encouraged to leave the path to walk across the lawn to find other hidden places. Saw lots of different varieties of plants and flowers. Thought things were labeled quite well so you knew what you were looking at. Had a canopy walk which was really cool to be up so high in the pine trees to look out across different areas of the grounds. The café by the canopy walk was very well priced having sandwiches, drinks and ice-cream. Looking forward to another trip on a Thursday or Friday so I can tour the Pines home.
Dow Gardens are beautiful. Such a peaceful and lovely way to spend an afternoon. Everything is very walkable and extremely well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. I met a friend at the gardens and we spent a few hours catching up, and we really enjoyed ourselves. They would be equally enjoyable solo, or as a family.
We visited this garden in Fall season and its perfect choice. Dow Gardens and Whiting Forest is awesome beautiful. We seen beautiful fall colors. We walked around the park and We enjoyed seeing the different plants, flowers, and trees. The Canopy Walkway was must see attraction at park. It has beautiful trail walk and glass top view. My daughter enjoyed the Children's Garden tremendously. Highly recommend a visit to commune with nature and beauty for a few hours.
This was an absolutely amazing experience. The grounds were gorgeous. Prepare to get lost in the vast gardens and venture down hidden paths amongst the flowers. I might have visited a quarter of the place in my almost 2 hours there, and I am already planning my next trip back. It's definitely worth the cost of admission.
This is an awesome place. Well worth the drive. We came from 2 hours away. Lots of walking, beautiful paved paths, mulched trails. The canopy walk is built to stand till the end of time. The flowers and trees are all so beautiful. Everything about this place is so peaceful and calming. There is a waterfall, a stream, flower gardens, trees, ponds, bridges, and lots of soft green grass. There are also lots of benches to sit and enjoy the views and relax. Spend the day and enjoy.
I love coming here in the Fall to see the colors of the leaves on the canopy walk. But the summer is just as nice. You can definitely get a workout in if you walk all of the gardens and the canopy walk in one day. So sad that the playground was made out of wood and rotting and got torn down. I do hope they make plans to make another one.
I'll never travel to West Branch without this trip planner again

The outdoor venue was ok. The seats felt cheap and wobbly. The floor isnt slanted, or if it is, very slightly. This means it is harder for everyone to see. The sound system was bassy and sounded quite good. The cost of concessions was well priced for a venue. The parking was good because of how many different parking areas they have there.
Overall we probably wont be back unless it is someone we really want to see. Good seating is really important and I shouldn't have wished I got lawn instead of floor.
It's a good venue for gambling and staying but also for outdoor concerts. Always clean. Close enough to town if you want to do other things and there are other attractions nearby. The restaurants and bars within the casino are surprisingly good with good food drinks and fair prices. Easy travel on a main road. I recommend.
Here it is October 27 9:32 PM I am at soaring Eagle Casino resort. Apparently they’re under new management. As of right now, they have pulled all the ATM machines off the floor and you have no way of getting money. We have to go to the casino cage and pay a credit card transaction fee of 7 1/2% or more. I have never heard anything more ridiculous in my life.
First off, let me get the crap out of the way... check in guy didn't let us know squat. Luckily my husband heard the girl checking in a guest next to us so he had a clue as to what was where, etc. I also counted how many people I had with me and he still charged me for one extra band.
Rooms are OKAY and we got a suite. You can apparently only use one TV at a time which is deceiving. Our shower drain was backed up, the bunk bed was EXTREMELY wobbly and squeaking- needs to be tightened. There was tape from a prior birthday party still hanging on the walls in multiple spots. And the thing that set me up to even leave this review was the RUDE waterpark staff. I understand the job can be alot, but dont take your frustration out on me or my kids. I simply picked up a slightly deflated tube because there wasnt any free ones, this lifeguard just yells at me a says I cant do that, DONT DO THAT DONT! I said what? She said PUT IT DOWN YOU CANT INFLATE IT!
Mam... OK. That is fine. But, there are ways to speak to people to get your point across. It was immediately defeating. I was just trying to get a tube for my kid and her friend.
I like how it is decorated for Halloween and the magician was cool. I wish I had better things to say about this experience but it has been disappointing- so it pretty difficult finding any positives.
Overall, we had a good time, but the service in the restaurant was very slow both in the evening and for breakfast. The food was OK, at least for dinner. The breakfast was, meh... I ordered poached eggs and received scrambled, but given it took them over an hour to process our order, I wasn't going to try to fix that. We didn't really taste our breakfast food, as we had to wolf it down to meet their strict 11:00 Check-out Time. We were running late because breakfast service was so slow. An hour after they had taken our order, we still didn't have our food. When I asked the front desk if we could have a little extra time, because we didn't have our food yet, I was told - Nope. So, when we finally got our food, we had to wolf it down, so we could run back to our rooms and grab our stuff before they disabled the keys. Whew - made it just in time!
What a beautiful place. Our room had a fireplace and the bathroom was awesome. The bed so comfy, and the view of the waterfalls was awesome. I will definitely be going back another concert
This is a top notch casino. The outside looks so stunning. I was amazed on how eye catching it is. The staff was very friendly. Watched a concert as well and was terrific. Definitely will go back again.

I am absolutely impressed with this little gem! We drove up from Indy just to visit and I can say we absolutely loved it! The grounds are well kept and maintained which was an absolute pleasure, it felt like both the animals and the staff were treated well.
The park itself is a little bit small but do NOT let that sway you, there are so many fun things to enjoy at every turn! I think my favorite part was the sensory garden, I loved the herb tasting area.
Maybe my second favorite part was the quiet zone lol, we were there the same day as an elementary school and having a little area deep in the foliage was such a nice break, it 100% gave me my second wind I needed to get the last few animals in!!
Overall I think this trip was absolutely worth it, from start to finish this entire process was a very easy and enjoyable experience!

The zoo is clean and easily marked to follow on the path but is very small. After taking our time with the exhibits, from start to finish it took just over an hour to get through. So I’d consider it a little pricey for what you all see, considering you have to pay for parking AND admission. It is definitely geared more toward younger children as well, 5 and under it seems. Decent little outing though.
We love this zoo. All the animals was out being active. We even watched a turtle get weighed.
We enjoyed The Boo at the Zoo. It was a great experience and very nice volunteers. I wish the hay ride was operating during our visit but we can't control the weather. We still had a great time

I love that you can buy art created by the animals in the gift shop! I got rhino art, bat-eared fox art on magnets and feather ornaments!
My daughter, my husband and myself went on a school field trip to Potter Park Zoo. We had an amazing time!!! We waited less than 1 minute to buy an extra entrance ticket and we were on our way. We started at about 10 am and left about 1 pm. We also visited the gift shop to look around and get a bracelet where she can track a certain animal. She has multiple animals that she tracks, like the whale shark, and a hammerhead shark.
There a lot of different animals than at other zoo's, like the Tamarin, which followed my daughters movements and wanted to be close to her. There were exotic animals like a tiger and a lion, as well as barnyard animals, like the goats and cows. There numerous species of birds, including my favorite, the Bald Eagle.

Since we purchased for the 2025 season, we have frequented Potter Park Zoo at least weekly. As part of the membership, discounts for purchases in the Zoo as well as Zoo events have provided a ton of value, as we have attended numerous after-hours events--which we love because they are adults-only often.
From the Snow Foxes and Otters where your "adventure begins" to the Ravens Rocky (listen closely, sometimes Rocky will tell you to "come here" to beckon you in to check them out as Corvids are capable of imitation of human speech) and Lily, Potter Park Zoo offers a wide variety of wildlife to view as well as events like the "After Dark," Halloween, and holiday lights.
Stop by and pack a lunch to eat while you watch the Otters play, or the Elk run around. Go to the farmyard and hang out with the goats, or check out Ralph the Emu. Spend some time watching the absolute unit of a giant anteater cruise around his enclosure, or check out the BABY BONGO!
A membership also includes discounts to other zoos (and aquariums) and free entry to John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids!
Almost forgot to mention; the zoo membership includes parking for the park itself!
Fantastic zoo! I am sorry I waited so long to finally visit. It is clean and the animals were very active, despite the heat.
I’ve visited twice in the past couple of years. It’s a nice, quiet, small zoo great for families. Our most recent visit was a Saturday during the summer and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Of course, with a zoo, you are not guaranteed that you’ll see all the animals, but we saw just about every single one. Prices for admission, gift shop, and food are reasonable. Bring a water bottle and take advantage of the bottle refill stations. There’s lots of shade and benches to take a break. If you time it just right, you can catch the zookeepers talking about the animals.

Took a side trip to visit the FireKeepers Casino while staying in Battlecreek MI. Had a good time losing my money as one usually does when visiting a casino. Remember the house always wins. Regardless the sheer volume of machines and varieties was astounding. I do believe I have not seen so many different games in one place outside of Las Vegas than I saw here. Well it was our 31st anniversary. Never ever been here. The casino is meh OK. The room as we arrived was clean. We stayed two days. No housekeeping the second day. Guess we’re going back to Covid! Ha! Security that didn’t really know said you godda request housekeeping?? At $189 per night you’d think they would make bed and bring clean towels. Nope no way. Never going back.
Three is my overall rate it'll go up if I win. So gamble responsible people because when you lose your money somebody else is smiling. overall it's a clean facility the staff is pretty friendly the gambling is fun. There's lots to see there and do.
We have never been to FireKeepers Casino before. We had a weekend where we could get away and decided to go and spend the night on property. Property, our room, and the overall Hotel layout were great. Long story short, we were very disappointed with the casino gaming floor area. The flow on the floor was a cluster. No rhyme or reason. It's like they built the casino, and added new wings where ever they could find the space. It is huge, but again very confusing as to where to start, play, etc. We hunted for iver any hour before we found a drink station! Also we had to stop someone that worked there as to how we could find rewards registration as new guests. It was on the opposite side of the casino floor! Im guessing about 2 city blocks away. We decided to call it a night after an hour, so we checked out the on site restaurants. Again, another long story short, we decided to leave property and go to a chain steak house in Battle Creek. The property restaurants had many of the same options, and at REDICULOUS prices. $19 for a plain burger. Anything else added to the meal was ala carte. We actually save money by leaving property, and got steak instead of a burger and fries. Maybe it is just us, but it was not a fun experience as we had hoped it would have been. We ended up spending most of the evening in our room watching Netflix. Sorry Firekeepers. I highly doubt we'll return.

This is the worst experience ever. Such a nice hotel should never allow such thing. My cats didn't work after coming down to front desk twice trying to activate the key and still not working, they said they are sending someone to fix it. I left waiting for 30 minutes like a homeless with no one helping. Came down again angry, no apology, only saying they are trying to get to it. We'll, I am tired and my stuff in the room and I am standing for 30 minutes in a hope for that to be fixed. Finally service guy showed up, it turned out the key was the reason and they couldn't figure it out at the front desk despite me going down 3 times to get it checked. Ruined the whole night and planned to watch the game and sleep early for work next day. Disgusting. I wish I can give service lower rating than that. Didn't even bother apologizing for a mistake they did
We stayed in a renovated room and the are gorgeous! Feels like Vegas! The casino is smoke-free so it doesn't get any better. There are many restaurants around the casino and a fairly large sports betting area as well as table games. The slot floor is huge and it appears more than 80% of the machines are newer.

And this was an absolutely gorgeous campground. We had a very nice site. Our loop had 2 shower houses with restrooms. The water pressure was not great and it could have been a little bit warmer, but in August, it felt good. We were there midweek, so it wasn't very crowded. We pulled out on Saturday morning and it was quite a different atmosphere but still a quiet night.

Nice park with quite a bit to see and do. There are 9 well maintained trails, highly recommend the first part of trail 3 and all of trail 9. Hell's point was ok, but not quite the view we anticipated. Along with trails, the park offers an Inn/cabins, lake(s), a beach, toboggan run, skiing, stables, nature center, and a variety of landscapes that's perfect for photos!

Pokagon State Park is one of my absolute favorite places to visit — and I’ve been there many times! Every season offers something new and special. In the summer, the hiking and biking trails are incredible, and the lake is perfect for swimming, boating, and kayaking. In the fall, the colors are breathtaking and the park feels like a peaceful escape into nature.
What I love most is how well the park is maintained. The trails are clean and clearly marked, the staff is friendly, and the facilities are always in great shape. Whether I’m staying at the Potawatomi Inn, camping with friends, or just visiting for the day, I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
The Toboggan Run in the winter is such a unique experience — it’s a must-try! It’s one of the few places in the region where you can have that kind of fun outdoors in the cold months.
Pokagon truly has something for everyone — nature lovers, families, photographers, or anyone just looking to unwind. It’s a gem of Indiana, and I’ll keep coming back for years to come.

This is a delightful park in autumn. Walking/ hiking trails of all levels. They wind through and around woods, wetlands, lakes, and a bit of open prairie. I'm sure the toboggan run is great fun, but hey, Ft. Harrison park has a great sledding hill but nobody typecasts it for that. Enjoy Pokagon for its other loveliness.
It was a beautiful experience to walk some of the trails. Beautiful State Park! We also venture to the Inn to eat. It was wonderful food, but a little on the pricey side in my opinion. We wanted to enjoy lunch there as a treat to us.
We plan to be back to walk around more and also hope to camp there sometime!
This place id amazing!! 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Best state park I have ever been to in this nation! And I have been to state parks in 34 states!

What a lovely place! We’ve been to many sculpture parks and gardens and this is one of the best! It’s laid out so well - you can walk (mostly flat) or take a narrated tram (for $8 fee). It was so clean and well-maintained. They were testing an on/off tram during our visit which was a nice option on this unseasonably warm fall day. We visited the sculpture park (great collection of art!), farmhouse area, Japanese Garden, waterfalls area and boardwalk. The children’s area looked like it would be really nice as did the tropical garden - saved for another visit if we’re in town again!

Absolutely beautiful. We are here for the autumn night on Tuesday, but have spent the day here too. We took the tram into the sculpture park area, not worth the price you pay for 1/2 hr ride when you can't see most of the sculptures! If you are here to see these amazing sculptures then skip the expensive tram ride. Plan on spending the day here, there is so much to see. If we lived in the area we would definitely get a membership. Looking forward to this evening. Music, lights and more. I'll add more pics later if I can. We have been to several different gardens in different states and this place is in the top 3. It was very easy to get too. Had no problems with traffic getting to this location. The parking lot was easy to enter and plenty of spots near the main entrance. They have a kiosk or front desk to buy tickets. No line at either. We only pay for the tickets not parking or maybe the parking is included in the ticket price but I feel it was a great price. This place is extremely large and there is lots of ground to cover. You could easily spend the whole day here. They have a gift shop inside. They have a very large amount of unique sculptures. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. I cant say enough good things about this place. You have to see it for yourself. Highly recommend!

Recently I visited the Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids. It's truly a fascinating place. It has numerous indoor and outdoor gardens, including a children's garden, as well as a sculpture park. The highlight to me was the Japanese garden. It is absolutely lovely. There is also a cafe and a gift shop. The park requires a lot of walking but they do provide both a tram and a shuttle for those who can't handle all the walking. This is definitely a don't miss Park.
A well-maintained incredibly beautiful and relaxing 158-acre botanical garden, art museum, and outdoor sculpture park with walking trails throughout. Visiting is an adventure, similar to going to Disneyland, except more relaxing because you are surrounded my nature. There is also plenty of parking and you can easily spend a few hours exploring. Be sure also to see the gift shop before leaving.
Our family has loved coming to Meijer Gardens for over a decade now. Every season brings new displays and views all around the grounds. We have brought friends and family here from all around the country and it’s always a crowd pleaser. A must-see in the Grand Rapids area. Great for all ages in all seasons.

We loved this place, perfect for all car lovers, beautiful buildings, even more beautiful cars from all eras! The small town setup is unbelievable, the "diner" was awesome. Will come back to this area again just see this museum a second time and partake in the driving class also.

It’s a pleasant surprise to find so many antique cars from around the world here. The site even has separate buildings dedicated to different makers such as Ford, Cadillac, and others, featuring everything from steam engines to modern cars. There are also vintage gas stations and a classic diner on-site. The venue routinely hosts vintage car and motorcycle shows. While admission is a bit pricey, the park is a good size, and you could easily spend an entire day if you watch all the exhibit videos. A wonderful place that brings back old-time memories.
This is an awesome place to go if you’re looking for something to do. Buildings of restored cars, antiques, trucks, buses and motorcycles. From the very 1st car and up. Games that you can play along the way. Car track that you can race with remote controls. One of the 1st cars that you can listen to directions and start. Great place! Winner for grandparents to take grandchildren out for day. My grandson and I had a great time!
Attended a private event in the evening for our work’s conference and it was an absolute blast! So much history and opportunities to enjoy the cars on display and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! There is an old diner were we enjoyed frozen custard and it was honestly the best frozen custard I ever had! The staff were all eager to talk with you and teach you about the museum. This is definitely something I want to experience again with my family! Did I mention I got to drive in some of the old vehicles!!! I felt like a little kid! Everybody should visit at some point!
Don't think twice, go see! The best collection of cars I've ever seen! We just left and I'm ready to go back. The facility is pristine, the cars sparkle, landscaping manicured down to the individual blade of grass. A wedding was taking place when were we there so we weren't able to go in one of the buildings as to not interrupt the ceremony, but got to talking to Fred that works there and he took us into the events center and gave us a personal tour and story behind the connection between Mr Gilmore and Walt Disney and how their relationship came to be. Fred was WONDERFUL!!! Spent so much time with us talking about the history of everything. Couldn't thank him enough! We look forward to coming back especially with all of the special events they host. This classic car girl had the time of her life today!!!!
Fabulous ambiance walking through the buildings and yard of one of the most spectacular car museums around! What a great history. I was a bit surprised that there seemed very little information on the Gilmore family and this amazing contribution to the public. I found a very small sign with some information by one of the cars. Guess what?!!….this car museum is interesting and fun to visit even if you’re not a big car enthusiast! The drive to get here was beautiful and the grounds are beautiful.
This place is large and full of unique vehicles to view. The layout is well organized and planned. Each manufacturer is represented in their own garage. I loved seeing the concept vehicles the most. We had so much fun!
Great collection of classic automobiles spread amongst many buildings built to hold the collections. Exhibits change constantly so always worth the trip to see what's new.

Wow! What a great find in Grand Rapids! This museum is amazing...especially if you love history. Gen X...you will definitely like it...Appearently 2025 is the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam war...There were many interesting facts there. Some things make you wonder...if Ford was dealing with the exact same issues then...and we are still dealing with them...are the issues ever gonna be taken care of...and I will let you visit and then you will understand that question...They even have a fun game for the kids or..anyone really! They give you a paper and you go around and find answers to questions within the museum...at the end...if you get them all right...you get a prize...There is so much to learn and experience here. Then...ya cant beat the museum across the street either!! Perfect for families with any age child...something for everyone's interest...Get the pass...and see both! Family of 7 and we had a great time!

This is a great museum, looking back at history through the lens of today sheds new light on quite a bit of the history presented here. You come away with a new found respect for president Ford, but at the same time you realize who the notorious players were in that same era. Worth a visit and it is a beautiful museum that is extremely well maintained.
Gerald Ford was President for only 895 days (2.45 years), so I didn't expect his Presidential museum to be as nearly as impressive as it is. First of all, it's located in a beautiful area of downtown Grand Rapids right off the Grand River. The building architecture and grounds are beautiful and well kept.
The museum is well laid out with thousands of artifacts well displayed. It also contains a mockup of President Ford's Oval Office, as well as his Cabinet Room. This visit opened my eyes on what challenging times the Ford Administration had to operate in and all he had to deal with as leader of the free world.
This was our first presidential museum that we have ever visited and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we'd enjoyed it. Highly recommended if you're in the area to spend the time to tour this museum and learn a little bit about American history.
I traveled to Grand Rapids for the specific purpose of visiting the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. The Museum is located on the banks of the Grand River in Downtown Grand Rapids. The parking lot adjacent to the museum is free for Museum Visitors. As visitors approach the museum you are greeted by a very nice statue of First Lady Betty Ford. There is also a statue of President Ford at the entrance to the Museum. Once I purchased my ticket for the self-guided tour, I made my way up to the exhibit area which documents the life of the man who served as both Vice President and President and was never elected to either office. The first exhibits that I encounter documents the early life of President From his birth in Omaha, Nebraska to his football day at the University of Michigan. Moving though the museum I found the exhibits on his long career as a member of the United States House of Representatives. A part of the House Exhibit that I found particularly interesting was President Ford’s service as a Member of the Warren Commission that investigated the Assassination of President John Kennedy. The museum deals extensively and quite accurately with the corruption of the Nixon-Agnew Administration. After completing my tour of the museum, I made the short walk along the paved path to the crypt where both President and Mrs. Ford are resting. The walk from the Museum to the Gravesite affords visitors a very nice view of downtown Grand Rapids. During my 2025 visit to the Ford Museum was open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from Noon until 5 p.m. It has a very reasonable admission price of $13. Seniors’ admission is $11. All total I spent a little less than 4 hours at the museum. This is a very well-done museum and I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the Grand Rapids Area.
We only had a short time to spend here, maybe a couple hours, but it was enough. As opposed to all other presidential libraries, it was separate from the museum. This wasn’t made clear on the website(s). One was open on Saturday and the other was not. And there was a 2-hr drive separating them.

Aside from the red winged blackbird that attacked me on the sidewalk at departure, or the sheer volume of dog poop scattered across the grass between the president's grave and the river, I found this museum to be both illuminating and humbling. Having just read "Write It When I'm Gone," my impression of Ford was a four letter misfire: dull. I had the impression, based on his much later years, that President Ford lacked insight on his own life and experience, that his view of the world and the nation was incredibly superficial. And maybe it was, near the end, but this museum took me through a different--albeit understandably biased--point of view, letting me see Ford as a regular boy, a regular man, going through regular things, and yet excelling and serving for the benefit of other regular people, like himself. I've now been to 25 presidential graves and countless homes/museums/libraries, which means that a lot of them start to feel, for me, rehearsed and predictable. But in Ford's museum, I got a little choked up at my own arrogance, admitting, necessarily, that Ford wasn't dull at all. He was a hard-working man who fell into the presidency, never really wanting to be more than a legislator, a representative of the people for which the presidency offered him a new platform to serve. The only question that I never got answered, a question that someone might be able to answer here, is why Ford settled in California during his post-presidency, nudged between Nixon and Reagan, when he clearly loved his Michigan home.

This was a cute place my husband and I decided to stop by at. We were on our way home from visiting Binder Park Zoo and wanted to keep the day going exploring.
It was really cool getting to see all of the different aircrafts. They also had a few rides for the kids as well as a space / future section that was pretty neat.
We had fun and would say the $18 per ticket for adults was worth it. They also have a cool gift shop and free shuttle service as well as a cafe to get some food and free parking.

Amazing place to visit in Kalamazoo. Great for young ones and kids , they enjoy a lot. Big collection of warplanes, helicopters and lots of rides inside. You can ride on them as many times as you like. Ticket also includes the visit to air zoo flight discovery center, 2 mins drive or around 10 minutes walk. There are shuttles too. Ticket is for whole day, so you can go out and enter anytime.
Awesome place to visit!!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Lots of walking so wear good gym shoes. This place isn't just for little kids but everyone of all ages. I have to say that my favorite exhibit was The Nighthawk, truly amazing and you don't realize how big it actually is in person. The food was really good at the Cafe and they have a variety of things to eat. The gift shop had a lot of really neat stuff to buy and of course I bought a bumper sticker. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back again.
Great experience. Clean, interesting, well organized… Very much worth doing the membership as well not only to use it here, but also because of partnership with many other science, museums in the country. They have a few rides for smaller kids to keep them entertained as well. And a flight simulator for older kids and adult adults.
Give yourself about 3-4 hours here. 2 wouldn’t have been enough, but after 3 we headed back through for a second round. Lots of airplanes to see but thats NOT all! They have several indoor amusement park rides and all rides are included in the ticket price. This was a hit with my kids! My baby could ride a few in seat beside me too. Several hands on stations to see and manipulate which was fun. Great time overall. They had plenty of air flight simulators which were very fun and made a small wait, sometimes no wait, ride. The murals were beautiful too!
I love taking the kiddo here. She’s two years old and loves the toddler tarmac! We always have such a great time when we come here, we play at the toddle tarmac, ride the Ferris wheel, and look at all of the planes. Sometimes they have fun events or activities here.
They used to having a changing table in the toddler area but had the bright idea to remove it. You would think there would be a changing station in the closest bathroom, but for women it is not; you have to go to the front of the building. I am also unsure of if the toys get sanitized at all.
A museum for aviation enthusiasts & kids. This science center boasts lots of great aircraft, science & fun rides for families. There’s a “toddler hanger” an area for little ones to play with all sorts of aviation themed toys. It has a breastfeeding nook & a baby play area. My children ages 12, 9, 5 & 2 really enjoyed everything at this center. Highly recommend for the whole family.
If you’re a fan of aviation, plan(e) a trip here!!!! You WILL NOT be disappointed!! My kiddo was absolutely blown away. The very first thing we seen when we got into the main hanger was his favorite aircraft!!! (SR-71 Blackbird) So much history here and so many planes. I encourage you to make sure and read the stories for each plane as some of them will absolutely surprise you!! Planning our second trip back now 🙂

Side note: The 71 Blackbird they have (SR-71B #831) is the training model. I believe two were ever made and that they have the only one left in existence!!

I've heard other shows are great, but the Salute to the Stars, was pretty bad. We thought it was amateur. Three aging impersonaters, with little stage presence, stumbling through lyrics. The George Strait impersonater couldn't pretend to strum the guitar. Their "Reba" had a good voice on her own, but didn't sound like Reba. Elvis couldn't reach his notes, and laughed when he flubbed the lyrics on songs he's likely sang 1000 times. We deserved better. Disappointed we spent $30 per ticket AND the time.

The Blue Gate Theater is such an impressive venue! The walls lined with signed guitars from past artists are worth checking out on their own. The theater itself is set up beautifully—there’s not a bad seat in the house, every view feels close and personal. We saw Crowder here and it was an incredible experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a great show in a welcoming atmosphere!

We watched the drama "The Rise and Fall of Miss Fannies Biscutts" it was a delightful story and supurb acting and singing. Well worth the trip to see it.
All the food in the buffet was excellent. We had a very helpful and friendly wait on our table.

The band had a great sound. The theater was the perfect size, not too small, not too big. The seats were comfortable. This was a fun concert! I will definitely return.
The atmosphere is awesome, the auditorium is small so there really isn't a terrible seat (some are obviously better)- but it's not like a giant stadium or something.
Pay attention to your tickets for the address, Google maps wants to take you to the Blue Gate Restaurant but that is not the Theater venue- it's a few blocks away.
Ohhh this place was awesome, we had the buffet, you can get the same food in the restaurant. The Amish cook wonderful tasting foods. If you're in shipschewanna,Indiana drop in for a great time and good food. I almost forgot you can get a meal and show ,they have shows pretty regularly.

The campground itself has a really nice vibe, and the facilities were spotless — probably some of the cleanest bathrooms and showers we’ve seen at a state park. Holland State Park is a decent spot if you’re looking for a quick beach outing. The view of the iconic Big Red lighthouse and the sunset over Lake Michigan are definitely worth seeing. However, the park gets very crowded, especially on weekends, making parking and finding a quiet spot on the beach difficult. Facilities like restrooms and concessions could be maintained better, and sometimes the cleanliness of the beach is hit-or-miss. Overall, it’s nice for a visit, but not the most relaxing experience if you’re hoping for peace and space.
The bathrooms and showers were filthy. The bathrooms stunk and they were not kept up. We were here in 2024 and thought they were great, but no longer. The plastic shower benches that were gray in color were almost black as they weren’t washed all season. I don’t know what was smeared on wall. Green mold, lots of spiders and webs. They were really gross. Come on folks, you can do better.
Website is deceptive. On the official website it says that it has a dog beach, and that it is pet friendly. When I arrived, however I found out that their signs all the way across the beach saying no animals and their so-called “dog beach.” is nothing more than a spot with sand with no apparent water involved. They do have a bathroom with flushing toilets that is right by the beach, which is nice however, it has these stalls that have benches that would seem to be a changing type area only there’s no curtains or doors or anything on them for any sort of privacy. In the same building as the bathrooms they do have a little gift shop place that offers some limited food and drink options. I got the soft serve chocolate ice cream, single scoop and let me tell you they don’t give you very much for what they charge for it. One thing that was nice though is that they do have I think there was two spots with those beach sand walk runners that make it much easier to get further down on the beach. I used Google maps to direct me to the beach and instead it directed me to the campground parking. I found that if I didn’t turn into the campground parking, I just kept driving eventually I did get to the beach.
This was our first visit to Holland State Park, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. We stayed at the beach campground, where the campsites were generously sized and the utility hookups were well-maintained and easy to access. The bathhouse was impressively clean, well-lit, and conveniently located.
One of the highlights was the stunning night sky — with the campground set away from the city lights of Holland, the darkness allows for incredible stargazing. We enjoyed breathtaking views of stars and planets that made the evenings truly memorable.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay.
We booked a cabin for 2 nights at Holland state park. It was clean and quiet. The cabin was heated and had a nice view of the lake. The camp grounds were beautiful, altho the water was winterized since we got there in late fall we had a great time hiking the sand dunes and hills. We enjoyed our quiet nights swapping stories and cooking meals over our fire. This definitely is a great spot.
Why google has this as a hotel, First off this is a campground! Nice campground, very clean well maintained. We came up for wedding only got to stay a couple nights. We got sites next to friends had a great time. Only issue i had was tight in some areas for large fifth wheel good thing it wasn't full..lol we'd stay here again you're in walking distance from lake michigan.
Since it was Labor Day, the park was very crowded to say thw least.
But the beach is great overlooking the Lake Michigan. Crystal clear water is enchanting to just sit and watch. One can take nice walk on the pier that extends well into the water. Lots of boat activities were taking place. Excellent location to spend the day!

We were incredibly lucky to have Frosty as our guide our kids kept yelling "THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER & THIS IS SO MUCH FUN" our toddler kept crying any time he stopped that's how fun it was. It was great and so nice to hear about the dunes. Recommend to anyone and everyone! They were also very understanding and accommodating when we got the time zone mixed up since we were staying in IN. They were great.
What an absolute blast! Staff is extremely friendly and fun! I had no idea what to expect and they made this adventure so fun and thrilling. I am a local and I highly recommend this excursion to both other locals and vacations. You definitely would be missing out on your west Michigan experience if you didn’t participate. Frosty is the best!!!! Myself, My 17, 13 and 9 year old LOVED this ride! We felt bad for the other riders because they didn't have Frosty! When we passed them their tour looked so boring! We really lucked out with a fun, energetic tour guide.
Ride was about 40 minutes from what I can remember.
You do get called to get on the ride ahead of time so be prepared to show up a little early and get checked in.
They have a souvenir shop to look at before or after with a few refreshments for purchase.
Book ahead of time online and keep checking the day before and morning of if you still need an opening. People were being turned away that came up looking to purchase. They sell out quick! Even on a weekday!

Wow! What an amazing experience! This was the highlight of our trip to this area! It was worth every penny! The guide was phenomenal, and the ride was so fun and exhilarating. We also learned so much on this adventure!!! We highly recommend!
Be prepared to wait if you have a large party of people, but it's definitely worth it. The place has a good sense of humor, especially our driver, Paul, who was hilarious and made it ten times better. It's basically an educational roller coaster ride. You'll be on the ride for about an hour. It was a wonderful day to be out seeing the dunes and the wildlife. The deer are unafraid of getting close to the vehicle.
Totally worth the money. We all loved it - from kids (4-7) to grandparents (65+). The whole week was sold out, but I got 8 tickets at 7am the day before. We did a 9:40am ride in August 2025. Recently we've had highs of 90+ deg. The morning ride was very comfortable and the sand was still cool. The ride was super smooth - even sitting in the back row it was not jarring at all. We really appreciated our driver who was the perfect blend of history & entertainment.
The dune rides were beyond expectations! Booking was easy and they were very flexible when we needed to switch time slots. The staff was friendly and accommodating and I love that this is a locally owned small business which adds to the exclusivity of the experience. It is the best way to get to know the area, and I can already see this being a place I come back to every time I am in town.
It is a quick thrill I would not miss. The guides truly make the ride and Paul especially stood out. He genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing, and he even made us think that giving tours and driving buggies all day might not be such a bad life. Watch out for snakes 😉

Absolutely loved this place. It is well worth the stop and the admission price. I spent about two hours working my way through the exhibits in both museums and checking out the Hall of Fame and research library. As a FT vanlife gal, the RV side made me ridiculously happy - each rig was more fun than the previous all the way through. Great storytelling and history all the way around. This is clearly a labor of love. Those who like history and life on the road will be enchanted.

So I'm big on RVs so this was amazing. I went in a Wednesday and Thursday. The guy at the desk was amazing and made my visit even better. He took the time to talk about the list of restaurants in the are and things to do. This spot is also a host for Harvest Host, so get in your RV and take a ride. You can stay on site for at least 1 night and hookup for a fee. I recommend visiting the home of RVs and take a trip down memory lane at the RV museum.
WOW! What a great museum! If you have any interest in RVs and their history this is a must see! The 60's and 70's mobile homes were perfectly restored! Relived some very fond memories in this museum!
Had never been here and thought we'd check it out. Very interesting going through the theater history. How trailers are made section. Never thought of what all goes into building them. We then went through the vintage campers and trailers. Some were before our time but some we actually reminded us of our camping days. And then the modern tech area. The covered wagons to space age... "from wags to riches". Wow. Truly a house on wheels. Fun place and we will tell our friends.

If you RV, this is a really cool place to visit. It's like a showroom with restored RVs from the last century that you can walk through. Even our grumpy children enjoyed it. Comically large parking lot.
Nice museum. RVs date back starting 1920ish thru 1990ish. Fun to compare RV insides to what I remember from the 50s and 60s.
We were curious about this place. For us it was a road side attraction for many it is a way of life - and now we truly understand it better. Phenomenal job with the exhibits - we did a self guided tours and really enjoyed being able to enter old mobile homes in the museum. It felt like stepping back in time quite literally! Big parking lot, quiet vibes really cool place even if you don’t own an RV!

Dropped my son off for move-in day for his Freshman Year. The other young men in his form were waiting outside when we got there, they already knew our names, and proceeded to grab everything out of the car and get it up to his room. We didn't have to do anything. All the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although I am nervous for my son, they definitely made me and his mother feel much better-knowing that he is in good hands. So far, 5 stars. Go Irish!
ND campus is absolutely beautiful! This was my first ND football game, against Navy, it was amazing and the fans are there no matter what the weather!! To support their "Fighting Irish"!!!
Notre Dame was Epic! Amazing fan base! Campus was breathtaking- my family and I enjoyed every minute while we were visit!
The university of notre Dame is a very beautiful campus. They have very unique landmarks and statues. It was a very nice place to walk around and get pictures. There were some very striking views to be seen around the campus.
A very beautiful Campus. Well maintained as it is makes it easy to see why it's such a popular choice for a great education. I would give a full five just for the beauty but as I have never been a student I can't fairly say how I'd feel having never experienced attending. As a visitor I truly enjoyed the architectural beauty and the history of the famed campus. I recommended this as a great free must see in the area!
Absolutely beautiful campus. I didn't study there, so, cannot talk for the quality of education but the place is gorgeous.
I love taking walks there, I love roaming around the campus. I love the lakes, swans, and ducks as well! The landscaping is amazing.

It's a great place to have w fun and enjoy the beach. I used to live in the area and moved in 1985 to Minnesota. This area was abandoned and in very sad shape. I came back for a 45 year reunion and was extremely impressed with the restoration of the area. There were a lot of people enjoying the beach and the the buildings were fully restored and improved! Really enjoyed walking around and at the top of the bluff on the St Joseph side they had vendors setup with antiques and yard sale items and food trucks! Very great experience. I really recommend going here. Lots to see and do.
Great place to visit for a short walk on a long pier. Beautiful views but the winds and high waters can be dangerous. Warning signs posted. Several lives lost over the years. Beach area has a nice view. Leaves were piling up likely from the river bringing it to the shoreline.

We are always impressed by Lake Michigan Beaches. This one didn’t disappoint. We visited on the last day of September. While not packed, there was still a number of folks visiting the beach including swimming. Facilities were clean. Beach very well maintained. Great place.
Excellent beach! Lots of great things this beach area has to offer: bath house, plenty of parking space, playground, splash pads, and the best views in the area.
One thing people need to do is stop littering. There are trash cans everywhere. Makes no sense to leave your trash.

Beautiful as always! My first time watching the sunset and it did not disappoint! The beach is busy and full of visitors, lots of seagulls flying about. A nice park with play area for kids to enjoy. There's a concession area, kind of pricey but nothing too crazy. Bathrooms and changing area could use some attention but was still usable.
My first time getting to experience a Michigan beach! Safety first: study and ask questions of how a lake can be dangerous. I had family with me that was well versed in lake safety. ... It was such a a blast!! Make sure to have plenty of sunblock, water and snacks. There is a lovely playground, bathrooms, concessions in the summer and a cute village to shop in. If you can't get there early then prepare to walk pretty far. If early enough parking is near. You can walk out on the pier ( just be careful). NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF YOUR KIDS, especially in the water. I can't wait to go back! Several good ice cream places in the downtown area. A couple pianos around town that you can just start playing for fun too.

What a great casino resort! The buffet was amazing! Well worth the money, tons of food to choose from! The place is super clean, the people are very nice, plenty of parking, and the gaming area is large and has lots of space! We actually found that many of the games paid out a little bit too! Live DJ was entertaining!

Fun place and I’m not a gambler. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Even the linens were clean and soft. The setting is nice being set back in the woods.
The gambling floor was loaded with innovative and graphically pleasing slot machines as well gaming tables.
Since we were there on Monday, a couple of the restaurants, including the buffet, were closed. However the Timber Cafe was open and the food was very good. Especially the chicken noodle soup (I need the recipe) and the breakfast burrito.
If you’re in SW Michigan this is a very pleasant stop.
The hotel itself was very nice and the extended staff was helpful. Booking is very sketchy. When you book a room you can request a room type, but they do not guarantee any of the rooms. So we booked our room but we're told they did not have any rooms with 2 queen beds. They offered a "cot." Which was not suitable for myself as I'm taller than the given "bed." Overall the experience was fine, but the ability to choose and actually get a room left me felt unappreciated as a customer.
I wasn't here long but to get something to eat at timbers and play 5 on a slot I'm gonna tell you now being to only 2 casinos In my lifetime of 42 yrs this place is nice and everything so close together I played 5 and instantly won 20 If I would have had more time who knows what would have happend oh and timbers has some of the best chili I've ever ordered we plan on going back and getting the whole experience they also have a buffet and hotel so yeah saving up some moolah and making a weekend outta it to anyone reading and going Goodluck and God bless here's to hoping you win big and don't forget who recommended this lol
Very nasty room do not go here. We asked housekeeping if we can get new sheets and they hesitated to help and give us new sheets after I told them what was on there. There was a young white kid who had an attitude and didn’t want to help us change the bed. We’ve had to call housekeeping again to get the manager to get us new sheets and change them because there was bodily fluid on the bed before we even got here and there was dirt on the bed it was so nasty. It did not feel very welcoming, especially for a getaway to come to this there was also an air freshener in the vent which housekeeping should have checked that.
UPDATE: Member customer Service called and stated that they have no control over the hotel and that all they could do was offer me a credit for 2 buffet meals on our next visit. I told her I wanted a portion of my hotel stay refunded bc we would not be back and was told they can't do anything about the hotel.
Original: The hotel smelled like dirty nursing home mixed with smoke and body odor. There was a nasty stain (at least I HOPE to God it had actually BEEN washed) on our bedding so I asked housekeeping if they could please change out our bedding because it had stains and was dirty. They informed me that they don’t switch out bedding during the stay and that they could give us towels to cover the dirty spots…??!
The temperature in our room was miserable. The thermostat read 72 the entire stay and yet it was either super super cold or to the point where we were literally sweating.
We went to the buffet and the food was disgusting. Everything I got from pot roast to fried chicken to prime rib to turkey was cold. Room temperature or colder. It blew my mind since everything was in/on warmers so we requested a manager. The waitress had already gone back and asked them to cook me some new fried chicken which we agreed to wait 10 to 15 minutes for. But when the manager came over, all he said was “well we’re cooking you some new chicken“. That was it. He asked if I wanted anything else cooked fresh and I stated to him that I wasn’t gonna start my meal all over again since everyone else was already done and I still had to wait for a piece of chicken so he simply walked away.
I always expect to lose money at casinos but the slots are very tight.
We ate at the buffet. Expensive! Worth it? Sadly, no. They only give military or senior citizen discounts to those who possess a membership card. The tip was automatically added even though we paid as separate couples, but sat at the same table. I paid almost $100. for me and my daughter. The prime rib was delicious, as were the desserts. The other food items were either okay or less than okay. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance was lacking. Very disappointing except the staff.

If you’re planning a trip to Indiana Dunes, don’t skip the area around the Pavilion—it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the park.
The Pavilion itself is this beautifully restored historic building that sits right on the beach. It kind of gives off a nostalgic, almost vintage boardwalk vibe, but with updated features that make it perfect for a beach day break. You’ve got options—grab a bite to eat downstairs, cool off with some ice cream, or head up to the rooftop bar (my favorite part) and take in the views of Lake Michigan. If you catch it near sunset, it’s chef’s kiss.
We ordered food from the café downstairs—think burgers, salads, simple grill stuff. I had the Italian beef and it was great and had plenty of meat. It’s not five-star dining or anything, but it hits the spot after hiking dunes or laying in the sun all day. I will say it was a little pricey for what it was, and service was a bit slow, but to be fair it was a packed weekend afternoon. The staff was doing their best, and everyone was friendly.
The rooftop though? Worth it. Great breeze, amazing views, and it just feels relaxing up there. It’s the kind of place where you can sip a drink and lose track of time watching the waves.
One thing to note: it does cost $12 if from out of state and $7 if you're from Indiana per vehicle to enter the State Park, which gets you access to the beach, trails, and of course the Pavilion area. Totally worth it in my opinion, especially if you make a full day of it.
The beach right outside the Pavilion is wide and beautiful, with plenty of space (though it can get crowded in peak summer). It’s perfect for families, couples, or even a solo recharge day. And if you're up for a little adventure, the dune trails nearby are gorgeous and offer some killer views of the lake.
My tips:
– Try to go on a weekday if you can, it’s less crowded.
– Bring sunscreen and flip flops
– Definitely plan to catch the sunset.
– And if you’re into photography, this place is a dream around golden hour.
The Indiana Dunes Pavilion is one of those spots that makes you want to slow down and just enjoy where you are. It’s not perfect but it doesn’t need to be. The views, the breeze, the beach, it all adds up to a really special experience.
Would I go back? Absolutely. And next time, I’m saving room for that ice cream.

August 2025: Awesome place to spend a day. Weather made it impossible to get in the water when we were there but the beach was beautiful. Good hiking trails and the 3 Dune Challenge is really fun! (Although I definitely don't recommend forgetting your shoes/boots like I did. Started out in flip flops, did most of it barefoot).
Nature Center had some interesting things to look at and clean restrooms.
Plenty of picnic tables.
Depending on the day of your visit, be prepared to wait in line to drive into the park.
A beautiful hidden gem in Indiana. This was our first time here, and I'm glad we made the trip. Who knew you could drive 4 hours, and be at a beach in Indiana! The trails, and campground were very nice. The trails were great, and peaceful. I wish they were marked a little better. BE WARNED the mosquitoes here are crazy on the trails so come extra prepared for that! I had many bites especially on my feet. I will definitely come better prepared for next time. The trails were beautiful, and well maintained. The beach was beautiful, and clean. The bathrooms at the beach were very dirty is my only complaint. Great for some nighttime photography as well! Overall we can't wait to come back and visit!
Gorgeous and clean state park! The entry is pretty cheap, and you can stay all day to do the trails, swim, bike, and enjoy being by Lake Michigan. I think it's particularly nice for families to spend time here. It's a short drive for Chicagoans. I recommend taking a day trip here!
I went there the first time in my life and I did the 3 dune challenge and it was good exercise to do that and see the scenery and the view and it was worth it. Then you have a exhibits in the visitor's center and that was good to see.
Great beach with amazing amenities- roof top restaurant right next to beach, clean bathrooms, showers, changing rooms, cafe with quick bites at reasonable prices and ice cream shop.

Only bummer is they get you out of water at 6 PM. That’s didn’t make sense. Probably you can go beyond the beach border and get into water at your own risk. Not sure!
Beautiful Places. Stayed at Dunwood Campground. Campground does not have electricity, but it has plenty of places to fill water tanks and restrooms and showers. There is plenty of distance between campsites which is better than most. Lots of wildlife. Had wild turkey coming up in the campsite. A real treat to get to see them upclose.
Discovered Trail 9 and now understand why it comes so highly rated! Despite the rain and the bugs, it was a challenging and wonderful trail. The sandy dunes never makes for a dull moment.

A huge candy factory. You get a few views of the factory floor but the plant itself is massive. The candy outlet store is very large. There are so many things on offer and the largest part of the place is set aside for bulk orders. They have chocolate, gummies, packages candy and other stuff. If you have a sweet tooth this place will fill that need with ease. I don't know what more to add to all of this, if you are driving by stop in and check it out. There aren't many stores like this around so just a neat place to check out if you are on a road trip and want a fun way to stretch your legs.
I have enjoyed their gummies for years, and finally had the opportunity to visit their store. Great prices and a wide variety of products including chocolates, nuts, and other candies. Their staff was very quick and friendly. Some gummy flavors I never seen before as well.
This is a heaven for kids and all adults who love candy.
Plenty of variety for all taste in candy from chocolates to gummies. Although there is plenty of options, not all candy here is made by the company. Make sure to get the candies marked "Albanese" on them. Staff members here are very friendly. One of the staff members provided me a nice historical recap of the company. Sweet Perfection at Albanese!
Who doesn’t love a trip to the candy store? After a fun day at the water park, my girlfriend and I stopped by Albanese in Indiana and it was the perfect sweet finale to our day! We loaded up on gummies and chocolates for the family (and, of course, a few treats for ourselves too).
The real star? The Peanut Almond Butter Crunch squares—creamy, nutty, and super addicting. Every bite was pure bliss!
If you’re near Indiana and craving top-tier candy, Albanese is a must. Their treats are next-level delicious, and the vibes are just as sweet. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice casino right on the water. Fairly modern and updated. Good variety of games, both tables and slots. Kept moderately clean. The complementary soda fountains were a little gross, I did not use them. Restrooms were kept okay. Not in the greatest part of town.
Great lamb of god show super nice people but the beers are over priced and the ladies pouring um give ya more foam than beer pour your own.
The venue has amazing crew who are top of their responsibilities! Food was great and had a great show!

Food-wise, we were all happy with the burgers from Salt... the kids of course loved their Ben & Jerry's ice-cream after..
FlyOver Chicago was another fun indoor activity that the kids enjoyed. All in all, a perfect family day full of great sights and fun, a must go..if you're visiting Chicago.

Navy Pier is the vibrant, beating heart of Chicago's waterfront. From the moment you arrive, the welcoming and festive atmosphere is infectious. Its excellent location at the edge of Lake Michigan provides stunning, picture-perfect views of the city skyline.
The pier truly has something for everyone. You can get out on the water with the many available boat trips, from serene architecture tours to thrilling speedboat rides. When hunger strikes, the excellent food options range from quick snacks to sit-down meals with a view. Beyond that, there are multiple activities to fill a whole day, from the iconic Ferris wheel and carousel to live entertainment and gardens.
It's the perfect place for a fun-filled outing where you're guaranteed to feel the energetic pulse of the city.
This is a cool place. There are boat rides and kiddy rides. There are performances here and of course the big famous Chicago Ferris Wheel 🎡. I've been here many times and each time I was just more and more impressed. You can also just take a little walk around and there are eateries. There are slow boat rides and fast boat rides. This is just a great place. Parking is plentiful not like in New York where I come from. Really impressive wow wow wow!!!!
Navy Pier truly captures the spirit of Chicago! Gorgeous lakefront views, great food options, and a lively atmosphere all day long. Perfect for a relaxing walk, photos, or just soaking in the city’s vibe.
They also have music festivals every other weekend, mainly on Saturdays.
There are river front cruises that board people from navy pier and take you through the city and show you the historical buildings of Chicago.
There are well maintained restrooms.
There are a couple of places to eat but you may find them a little pricy.
Note: Saturdays are packed with people.
Sundays are a bit quieter
Weekdays are way more quieter unless it's a long holiday.
No tickets required to enter the pier but for cruises and Yatchs you do need to buy tickets, which you can get online or in premises. In case you are taking the boat rides, plan ahead.

I stopped by around sunset and the entire pier lit up beautifully—especially the Centennial Wheel. The atmosphere was lively but still relaxing, perfect for a quick walk, photos, or just enjoying the city. Parking and entry were easy, and the wait time for activities was very reasonable. Visited Navy Pier on a Friday night during the holiday season. Took an impromptu ride on the Ferris wheel ($24 per person) and enjoyed a breathtaking view of the skyline. Holiday decorations were impressive and it was a fun place to capture memories. Recommend visiting!
I wanted a place to go in Chicago without fighting all the traffic but still getting to see Lake Michigan and the downtown buildings. This was perfect! Beautiful views of the city, and if you take the Centennial wheel, you get to see incredible views 360 degrees around! There was food, music, drinks and more available depending upon time of the year, week, day, etc. I went in February once and still had a wonderful time! Parking on the pier was easy and accessible, but expensive.

Kinda a must see if in Chicago and if you catch it in early morning you could definitely get some great shots of the Bean and the City Scapes it provides.
Very popular attraction with large crowds coming and going all day and into the evening. We had limited time while in town and was able to walk from our hotel to visit. Spent about and hour getting photos and watching the crowds.

Beautiful moments spent here. I would recommend to visit this public park if visiting downtown Chicago. It is a tourist attraction. There were a lot of people here, especially around the Bean, The fountain area is so nice where the faces change on the structures. It is a nice area to walk around and spend some beautiful times with love ones. Admission is free, that helps the area being packed up with people from all around the world.

I showed pictures to my two boys of "The Bean" in Chicago, IL and they thought it was so cool. I thought I would surprise them with a trip to Chicago last Saturday and this was one of the first things we did. Took lots of pictures with "The Bean" or Cloud Gate. We were all sure to touch it and enjoy the purpose of it. For some reason, I feel like it was moved within the past decade and I also remember it being smaller. Weird... Both times I’ve visited it’s been populated but there hasn’t been any difficulty getting right up close to the structure to take photos.
It doesn’t require tickets and there are no lines. Check it out!
It was truly surreal to be at this location after seeing it online for a long time. It was packed with tourists and parking was hectic. It was beautiful to observe the cityscape on the bean. It’s also well maintained and a good city attraction.

The Art Institute of Chicago is an absolute must-visit and one of the best museums in the U.S. We used the CityPASS, which gave us express entry — no long lines, a big plus! The museum is huge and beautifully curated, featuring world-famous masterpieces by Monet, Van Gogh, and many other renowned artists. The layout makes it easy to navigate, and there are plenty of clean restrooms throughout. I appreciated the bag check area where you can safely leave larger items, though small bags and water bottles are allowed inside. The souvenir shop is also impressive — large and filled with unique art-inspired items. Whether you’re an art lover or a casual visitor, this museum is a Chicago highlight and a must-see attraction downtown. Spent around three hours there but could spend the whole day if we don't have other plans.

Pro-tip: use their guide!
It felt more than amazing to see a lot of Monet’s painting of one collection next to each other.
And seeing Van Gogh’s brush stroke felt really special.
My favorite artists that had their famous artworks in this museum were: Edward Hopper - Van Gogh - Monet - George Surat- Paul Cézanne - Whistler - Hammershoi
Also, their lighting was really good.
Their art shop was amazing! I bought beautiful postcards for 1.5 $ and a lot of fun items from different artists.
I highly recommend visiting this museum if you’re in Chicago, and setting at least 3 hours of free time to enjoy with no stress and rush.

The Modern Wing was a personal favorite, showcasing stunning contemporary works in a bright, open space. The Impressionist collection is one of the best I’ve ever seen, with vivid colors and incredible detail that make you feel part of the painting.
The museum staff were friendly and helpful, and the layout was easy to navigate even though the collection is vast. I also enjoyed a relaxing break at the Museum Café, overlooking the park.

We came here on a Bank of America sponsored day and luckily we have BOA accounts and we're let in for free! There's so much iconic art here. And it truly is a massive space - I tried to speed run the whole museum in 2 hours and only got through ~85% of it. Really appreciated all the curated works and how they organized each room/section, and their exhibits were also very special.

During my last trip to Chicago I got the CityPass and visited this enormous museum on a Monday during summer.
If you like to appreciate art this is your museum, it has lots of sculptures, paintings, photography, textiles, weapons armor, among others... from different cultures during impressionism and post-impressionism. If you have a tight schedule I recommend you to plan which pieces of art you want to see before visiting the museum, check the map, use the app. If you intend to cover all the museum in detail it would be almost impossible to do it in one day.

I visited here at 10 AM with a member who is a resident of Chicago. Members can visit early from 10 AM to 11 AM. If you have a friend or a family member who lives in Chicago and is a member, that is a great experience to learn what they like at the museum! There was a temporary exhibit at the museum for the drawing and prints room. I saw an Edward Munch lithograph of The Scream painting. I would recommend buying a ticket in advance and keeping the printout of your ticket or if you have it on your phone. They do require to see your ticket again to re-enter the museum if you go to the gift shop. I bought postcards to send to my family and will be writing out the postcards this afternoon. They also have nice insulated bags at the museum shop that you can use on your trip. There is an abundance of natural light in the lobby and many of the galleries. The only thing I have against this museum is that they charge for admission. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and our Minneapolis Institute of Art does not charge for admission for any patrons.

From the moment we stepped into the Willis Tower, the excitement was real. The elevator ride up to the 103rd floor was fast and smooth, and the views? Absolutely breathtaking. You get a full panoramic look at Chicago’s skyline, Lake Michigan, and on a clear day, even parts of neighboring states!

These glass boxes extend out from the building, letting you stand 1,353 feet above the ground with nothing but glass beneath your feet. It was thrilling, surreal, and surprisingly not as scary as it looks!
🎉 The kids had an absolute blast! They were jumping, posing, and laughing the whole time. It was so heartwarming to see them enjoy something so unique and adventurous. The staff were super friendly and helped us get some great photos too.
We visited the Skydeck totally spontaneously on a Saturday night and had such a great experience! We were originally going to buy tickets at the self-checkout kiosk, but the prices were pretty high, so I checked online and found a much better deal through Tripster. The tickets were emailed instantly and we walked right in with the barcodes.
Before reaching the ledge, you go through a really well-done museum with interactive displays about Chicago’s history, architecture, and the Willis Tower. It definitely adds to the whole experience.
Once you get to the Skydeck, the line looks long but moves quickly and efficiently. We actually got to go out on the ledge multiple times and take plenty of photos. They take one professional photo from above, then you get 90 seconds to take your own. At the end, all the photos taken of you get uploaded to a card they give you, and you can download a few digital postcards for free.
Even though it was raining the night we went, the views were still breathtaking. It’s a little pricey, but honestly worth it — it’s not something you do every day, and the views alone make it memorable. We’d love to come back on a clear day to get more pictures together.
Highly recommend for both locals and visitors!
