I was literally a kid in a candy store. From Jersey, the weekday drive was worth the trip. Snow covered mountains, rushing, cascading water. Old Vermont towns and picturesque farm country of the Green Mountains. We needed a reason to go the Vermont Country Store in Weston, something we saw in the catalog. A straight shot to Albany and across the Hudson into the mountains with a little help from Maps. Back and forth was a little over 400 miles.The store is in an old cow barn. People were friendly and personable, but like all stores these days there's more in the catalog than there is in the store. Stores are now showcases. Things we saw were pricey, but of good quality like clothing, kitchenware, decorations, toys and candy. There's lots to see as there are displays of vintage house wares, such as a glass case filled with quirky old toasters. Local towns have nice local eateries with great atmosphere and are mostly affordable. Go!

Stopped by to check out this store on our fall foliage road trip on route 100. It's indeed a fun place to walk around, the store is huge and have lots of varieties of items to look at. Definitely worth stopping by!

Couldn’t wait to visit. My Mom (she passed last October) always ordered from the catalog. I grew up with a lot of the items. This was a great visit. A trip down memory lane for both me and my husband. Everyone was helpful with our questions about products and finding a couple items for us. No problems with parking. They are a pet friendly place.

I had an amazing time, going back in time at The Vermont Country Store in Weston,VT. It was such a beautiful Fall day, perfect for reminiscing on past joys of long ago while making amazing new memories! A great day trip of you find yourself in the Green Mountains of South Vermont!

Awesome! Everything you’re looking for if you want to gift shop and feel like you’re in Vermont. So charming, and feels like you’re taking a walk back in time. They have so many great things, we went twice! Loved Mildred’s snack bar as well. Old and young had a great time! Must see if you visit Vermont.

So much fun to browse this store in person! The store is huge with a vast array of goods including a discount area upstairs. They also have clean bathrooms, some great fresh food and ice cream, friendly staff and perfect fall photo opps. Don’t miss a visit if you’re in Vermont!

A great ski in and ski out resort right at the base of Mount Snow. The rooms were in good condition. We had a two bedroom suite which was a one bedroom with a kitchenette and living room with a lofted bedroom connected to a standard 1 bedroom hotel room. They have a ski check right at the mountainside entrance. It is nice to have your skis valeted, although the line gets long in the morning and at the end of the day. The hot tubs were decent, although they were often very crowded. Same story on the sauna and steam room. The television and Internet were both flaky. This was a disappointment considering the price we paid for our stay. I was impressed with the car valet service. Our car was always ready in 10 minutes or less. You texted your claim check number, a very seamless experience. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a ski in/ski out at Mount Snow

The location is very convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful. We liked the amenities like the hot tub, sauna, gym, and s’mores. But the rooms are dated and the WiFi is unreliable. Sometimes it’s just slow (like 11 Mbps), but it drops a lot throughout the day. One time when it stopped working, I called the front desk and they gave me an IT phone number to troubleshoot it myself! I was on the phone with them for 30 minutes and they did temporarily resolve the problem, which was just them resetting system, which is what I suggested, but they made me go through all these other steps like whitelisting my laptop even though it had been working previously. The rooms just seem like a shell of their former selves. Our room had a patio but the lock on the patio door didn’t work. The pull out sofa didn’t have any sheets on it (and no sheets in the closet). When I tried to call to get sheets, I pressed the housekeeping button on the room phone and got a message the line didn’t exist anymore. Front desk button just rang endlessly. I ended up calling the Grand Summit phone number and going through the menu options to talk to the front desk which worked. To their credit, once I talked to someone they brought the sheets quickly.

We were here for a wedding. The resort is nice and well located. The rooms were also spacious and clean. The two points of feedback are 1) parking situation is unacceptable. We were here for a wedding, and there were two other weddings going on so the lot was packed (and quite small). One of my our guests had a broken leg that made it hard for her to get around, and most of the staff was accommodating but it was still hard to figure out the parking situation every time we came and went. 2) the food situation could be significantly improved. There is only one pub that was not open during the day, and the front desk sent us to a deli for cold sandwiches and snacks so we had to leave to go find a restaurant elsewhere. There should be a restaurant or hot food readily available for order at this caliber of resort.

We stayed here during our Vermont fall road trip. The rooms are clean and well equipped, the resort itself is at a great location. East access to hiking trails and nearby restaurants. Staff is friendly with late check ins accepted.

This hotel has a good location, everything else misses the mark. The rooms are very dated with cable TV. The gym is disgusting. Basically everything needs a refresh. We went to the burger place at the main lodge, good but crazy expensive. Harrisons restaurant was mediocre with terrible service. The arcade, lame, just a few games. The pool is nice but also needs updating. The valet parking takes FOREVER. Once it took us 30 minutes and no one was even there. Another time they just told us to get it ourselves. They don't refresh the rooms unless you ask. We had so much garbage because we were there for 5 nights. If you don't ski or the conditions are bad, there is almost nothing else to do. They had a movie night, but we didn't know until we walked by it.

Had an excellent trip. Staff was friendly and attentive. Grounds are amazing.

Beautiful home and flawless gorgeous gardens. Here on Aug 31 and garden was in full bloom. One of 3 remaining Lincoln top hats on display and it has a fascinating story of provenance. Ask a docent to tell you...esp the part about the Dorset Inn piano! The organ is amazing...what a birthday gift! Do NOT miss the restored Pullman train car...it is spectacular and a must see.

Visiting the Hildene Lincoln family home was an incredible experience! The house is beautifully preserved and truly captures the feel of the 1905 era. The docents were wonderfully knowledgeable, sharing history and details that brought the home to life. Even though it was a rainy day, the property itself was stunning and well worth exploring. One of the highlights was the restored Pullman train car—absolutely fascinating! John, the docent, did an amazing job explaining the history and significance of the car, making it one of the most memorable parts of the visit. A truly special place to learn, explore, and appreciate history. Highly recommend!

The Hildene, Lincoln Family Home, was the home of Abe's son and family. You enter and purchase tickets at the Visitor's Center where a map is provided to guide you around the property. While you can walk it, there are also trams to take you from site to site. The main family home is a two story dwelling with all the artifacts of the family on display. A garden in back and view of the valley reveals why this location was selected. The observatory is intriguing, and the Pullman train car used on location but now just for viewing is a rare sight. The goat farm is a working stable with milking daily producing gallons. The Hildene is definitely worth the several hours of investigation you can invest.

It is a beautiful spot and one learns a lot about Lincoln family. I have to say a bit pricy for admission. One has to get there early enough to walk around to enjoy this beautiful spot and see the farm. If you are into gardens, a well kept privet hedge is a good to look at.

The house itself was nothing special and I was let down a bit. It was lacking the opulence of some other historic homes I've visited, but that's no fault of the owners that just maintain it. With all that money they really should have built better. For us, the best part (aside from the gorgeous views) were the goats at the dairy and the incredibly friendly, knowledgeable man that was there to answer our questions. He was so passionate about his work and we loved talking to him about his goats. That kind of passion is infectious and he singlehandedly made that visit worthwhile.

Had a great visit here around the Lincoln family home. Visited on a midweek morning, plenty of parking right outside. Reasonable price to enter and lots to hear and see. The Portman train cabin and working automatic organ in the main house were the best parts that we really enjoyed. The staff are knowledgeable and clearly very passionate on the estate history. Highly recommend a visit.

Worth EVERY penny, genuinely one of the most well cared for and immaculate buildings I’ve ever seen. The tour staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and personable. This is a MUST visit.

Had a great experience. The elevator wasn't working but they were offering a great deal for another visit. Unfortunately for us we were just passing through so we didn't get to go up. Cool views and grey info in the gift shop though.

Had planned to dropped by this monument as a pit stop en route north. Loads of parking and nice little gift shop with really friendly staff. Unfortunately the elevator was not working that day so couldn't go to the top, but for a much reduced price you can still go inside, where there are friendly knowledgeable staff. A must visit if in the area.

We have driven by a few times and finally decided to check it out and happy we did except the elevator isn’t working. We didn’t read up on the site and didn’t even know that was an option to take an elevator up for what we envision as the fantastic views. It’s free to park here and walk the grounds but in the gift shop you can buy $2 per person ticket to take a ride up. There is a gift shop and separate building for bathrooms and tourist guide pamphlets. Although the elevator was down, we were told only the 2nd time in 14 years there is a staff person at the entrance to give you the history of the monument. We spent about 45 minutes and we were told our tickets are good for a trip up the elevator once it’s fixed. They couldn’t say when it would be but to keep an eye on their website. Hope it’s back up and running for leaf peeping season but still a beautiful area to explore. Glad we finally stopped.

Impressive and massive monument honoring the Battle of Bennington from the Revolutionary War. The views from the top are incredible, and the history is rich—definitely worth the visit if you appreciate architecture or early American history. From the top of the Bennington Battle Monument, you get breathtaking panoramic views of Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts, stretching out across rolling hills and valleys.

We arrived fifteen minutes before closing time. We were going to go into the gift shop and use the restroom but whoever was working it flipped the sign to "Closed" as we were walking up. The bathrooms, outside the gift shop, were locked as we passed the fellow who just cleaned them. We knew we were too late to tour the monument but closing early in the face of customers? Anyways, nice big stone obelisk that can be seen quite a distance away. It commemorates the American victory over the British at the Battle of Bennington in 1777. There was a fence around it stopping one from getting too close at the time of our visit. Interesting to see, sad at the early closing of the gift shop.

Been closed for a while for reconstruction. Had the opportunity to go inside years ago and wanted to remember what it was like. Nice small park and nearby gift shop.

Beautiful views. There was an old guns demonstration, which was super cool. Elevator works well usually. When it malfunctions, the walk down the stairs takes about 13 minutes, as of October 4th 2025.Ask me how I know 🤣

Very unique museum - inside and out! We went in a few hours prior to an evening concert and wished that we had budgeted more time, because we didn't get to see all of the exhibits. Hourly guided tours are available if you're looking for a more in depth look at some of the art showcased there. I highly recommend a visit if you have the opportunity!

An amazing museum in the middle of nowhere! The renovation of this museum is spectacular, and we really enjoyed our visit. It’s huge, so we didn’t manage to see everything, but the artworks were beautiful, and some were truly surprising. One of the highlights was being part of a piece: you could leave your wish in a box, and once a week the artist incorporates them into the artwork—so clever! We drove an hour to see this museum, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise.

I'm not big into modern or contemporary art, but my daughter loves coming to the kid space to make art projects. It's free and they have different art projects. I would definitely recommend bringing your kids if you're looking for something to do with them. Plus you get the added bonus of checking out the old industrial buildings of North Adams. Or look at some "art" if you're so inclined.

Mass MoCA was a great time. Spend the good part of a day there if you can. So many buildings to explore with all different kinds of art. This time there was even a tea drinking immersive exhibit which was delicious and thought provoking. Another favorite was our Milky Way fashioned out of lights, and a fun collection of New York notables around the punk era. I love getting lost here.

MASS MoCA is one of my favorite places in the world. There is so much art that you will need to spend at least two days to see everything. It’s an amazing museum for people of all ages…especially good for babies and young kids who like to make art. The kids can run around outside or go into the free artmaking space. Babies love looking at all the bright colors, big shapes, and strange rooms. For young adults, it’s a really cool spot to meet a friend or lover because you can walk around in the AC, just chatting about all the artworks. Plenty of intriguing things to keep the conversation flowing. Grab an ice cream cone. For older adults, you can think of this as your own private paradise where you can speak as loudly or as quietly as you want, grab an affordable and delicious meal at Lickety Split, buy gifts for everyone in your life at the two awesome gift stores, and get an education in contemporary art.

This is our second time visiting. Last time was in 2020, during covid. I was equally impressed how the artists exhibits can take up a whole room versus being confined to a small canvas. It inspires such great expression and creativity

This museum is absolutely unparalleled! I’m an art student and there has not been an art museum from anywhere in the country that has come close to being as impactful as the art in this museum!! I highly recommend this museum for anyone interested in interactive, sculptural, or installation work!

One of the top cultural gems of Massachusetts - wonderful art, architecture, landscape; educational, research and conference facilities. For visitors to The Berkshires, a worthwhile destination to spend a day. Something here for all ages. Handicapped accessible. Carts available to transport visitors around the extensive campus (for those not wanting or able to walk). PS - one of the world’s finest collections of Renoir paintings on display.

Amazing museum! I loved all the paintings. The poppy fields by Monet was exquisite. My favorite artist is George Inness. Home at Montclair brought me to tears. Such a special place. I plan on going back to explore the outdoors and the trails. Staff were friendly, helpful and kind.

This review is for the outdoor space only, which is super dog friendly! Such a nice place to chill and stroll with your dog (or not). Highly recommend checking out the “reflecting pool” at the Clark Center. The Nan path has no steps, and takes about 10~15 mins. Note that the Woodland trail from the Nan path was closed at the time we visited. Cannot wait to be back to check out the museum and other trails!

My visit to the Clark Art Institute left a lasting impression on me. The art collections there—whether Western, Eastern, or from other regions—are remarkably exquisite and reflect a refined artistic taste. Although I have only been there once, that brief experience allowed me to truly feel the power of art and the awe of beauty. I cherish the Clark Art Institute not only for the excellence of its collections but also for the serene atmosphere it creates, which brings peace of mind. I believe that every future visit will be an important opportunity for me to cultivate myself and enhance my ability to appreciate art.

A remarkable art institute in the beauty of the Berkshires very near Williamstown. They recently received an enormous collection to add to their already considerable one and are building a new facility for it. Can't speak to that but can say that the current collection which has its weaknesses (the Dutch Masters) and strengths (Impressionists especially Renour and Monet) is exceptional for a relatively small Institute as well as being very well displayed. The surrounding grounds match the collection in their beauty and there are numerous rewarding trails throughout. The gift shop is fine if limited and the café is about as you would expect or perhaps a bit better than that. It is a terrific place to spend a full day. You'll remember the experience well and be eager to return.

Forget Mass MoCa with its old and tired DEI infused indoctrination and head instead to the Clark Art Institute for its timeless real art that will stand the test of time. Their Impressionists collection is nothing short of stunning with numerous works from Renoir, Monet, Manet, Gauguin and Degas and others like Goya and Gericault along with great American artists. Beautiful architecture and nice trail to top it all off. Not to be missed.

The museum is beautiful! The Renoir collection is spectacular, but the cafeteria don't have good options for lunch. All the personal very kind. I enjoyed my visit.

Always a good time and a classic experience! ✨️ Recommend bringing your own cooler with drinks and snacks since they are heavily over priced once inside. That said, it's a great time with friends and family. If you are visiting from out of town, this is definitely going in the to-do list!

What a day out!! Will absolutely be planning to come back next summer. Its understated heritage exterior allows for a relaxed atmosphere at a professional horse races. Plenty food and drink options and all round a great time. Parking varied from free to $20, the general entry ticket was $11 which is incredible for such a fun day out. Could not recommend more!

2025 - Making my second trip over, there was some modifications being made for example parking wise. Stayed in the General Admission Price guideline. Everyone did a great job from Spector and Staff/Security wise. 2024 - The Second Home of the Belmont Stakes. First time seeing a primetime event at General Admission Price wise. Smart move being my first time attending the event. This is a first to some of us, I thought spectators plus Staff and Security handle everything great! Prior to COVID Great Aunt took me here and we had a great time!

Absolutely love this racetrack! You can bring your own food and drink and there are tons of picnic tables to sit on and enjoy the day! There is not a whole lot to choose from if you don't bring food and the prices are high so your best bet is to pack the picnic lunch! Parking runs about $30 and there is plenty available. Overall a great day for family fun!

Simply the best horse racing venue in country and well managed. We reserved table inTurf Terrace one afternoon and had wonderful experience with great service. Me sure to make reservations well in advance. The other days we were in Picnic area and loved every minute of it. There are plenty of betting windows and machines if you choose and the lines moved quickly. Visiting this race courae is one of our favorite trips every year.

A friend and myself traveled to Saratoga Race 🏁, as a day trip. I have visited here before, several times. I have always enjoyed myself. The property is well maintained and clean. Security is very good, always feel safe. My only complaint is that the food and beverages prices are outrageous. Next time I will bring my own food and drinks. Other than that I highly recommend Saratoga Race Course.

Saratoga club terrace dining is a poor way to spend your money. There is an admission fee to sit at a tiny table for two next to the kitchen. The servers stand right next to those tables. Their Their rear ends were next to our table. The menu is limited. There is no view of the races except on a TV that is either right above your head or too far away to see. According to the manager, we could not can change our table, even though there were empty tables.

Heavenly retreat with superb facilities for outdoor listening pleasure. Lustrous grounds, with areas for picnicking, and a dynamite schedule that features a diversity of musical styles, primarily performed by Boston Symphony Orchestra or Boston Pops. Local famous artists (James Taylor, Yo-Yo Ma), and visiting artists come here during the summer. Food options are OK; best to bring your own food if you plan to picnic.

The Lawn at Tanglewood is the best place to be! Plan ahead, pack a picnic: Blanket, folding chairs, small table, wireless lamp or candles, ice bucket, food 🥖 🥐 🧀, wine 🍷, and thou. We were here again to see the soulful, heartfelt, best female guitarist and keyboard performer, beautiful Bonnie Raitt, after 4 years when we first saw her after the pandemic. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🎸 🥁 🎹 🎼 🎶 🎙️ 🎼🎶

Loved walking around prior to the concert, plenty of space for blankets and chairs, you can only drink alcohol in your designated seating area. Bug spray would have been smart, we got an Uber from town which saved us the long line of traffic into the parking lot, but staff in parking could not agree on where ride share drop-off was (each stop point had to ask the next stop point). The verdict was "limo drop-off" would be the best thing to say because it drops you near the gates.

Anyone in area that can make it should really make an effort to try and go and see a concert at Tanglewood Was really an incredible experience for the price ($35). People bring legit tables and outdoor feasts with friends and family to enjoy music Something you need to experience to get Sound no matter how far you were from the stage was crystal clear Would suggest coming a few hours early as there's a lot to see around the venue but also because parking is crazy and so is the seating on the lawn. Good to grab an area and parking spot

Great venue for a concert. And the Lenox locals know how to party in the lawn seats. Charcuterie boards and all kinds of fancy spreads. Amazing! There's also great stands with BBQ, fried foods, quick self serve snacks and ice cream. It's easy to exit with West and East parking and great attendants.

Woah 😳! There was so much to explore! I had a pleasant time exploring the grounds before the show and during intermission. A great 👍 place to view a sunset! Oh, it is a good place to see 🙈 a live show. I like the partial maze in the garden area. You will not see Jack Nicholson yelling "Danny!" while carrying an ax! At least I hope you don't! Redrum! 🤫 Shh! The sundial, Whispering Bench, sculptures , the interesting looking houses and even a few of the trees. I was surprised I was not bothered by any 🐝 insects, especially 🦟 mosquitoes. The Koussevitzky Music 🎶 Shed, not the Author "Two Sheds" Jackson, was a good place to watch a performance. Large screens helped people who were further back 🔙 and on the lawn watch the show. The shed can get warm 🥵 on a hot night. They could use some fans to circulate the air inside. The lighting and acoustics were good. The food at the cafeteria was okay but overpriced. They did run out of items on the menu. Security did not hassle myself or anyone I observed. They will check ✔️ bags before you enter. I had no issues with parking 🅿️. There is plenty of parking 🅿️ available and it is free 🆓. There are a lot of bathrooms and a few porta potties. The bathrooms I used were in good condition. They do sell beer 🍺 here. Wheelchairs ♿ are provided for guests. One lady I chatted with actually had on delivered to her at the cafeteria. I came to see "A Prairie Home Companion" and I enjoyed watching it. I do not remember them swearing 🤬 as much at being overly political. I am going to recommend a visit. I may visit again depending on who is playing. It was a long drive for me.

Saw James Taylor, after the rain. Great concert. Pleasantly surprised by staff. Great experience from parking lot, ticket gate, concessions, and beer garden!

A visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum is an experience not to be missed. The grounds and buildings are very well-kept. Rockwell was an incredible artist, and seeing so many of his magazine covers and other artworks was a delight. He was a true master of capturing the human spirit. We also had the pleasure to see an exhibit of Walter Wick's Hidden Wonders, and some great sculptures on the grounds.

Great place to visit when you are in Berkshire, Massachusetts. It has big collections of his painting about all American life in his periods. He was a great portrait painter too. His last painting was in 1963 at the end of that year for Saturday Evening post of New York with the portrait of JFK who was assassinated in November of 1963 the estate is quite large with pastoral feel. Anyway I learned it elsewhere that his life was not as happy as he portray in his paintings because if the painting was not happy one the journal with rejected it. So the paintings were the projections of the life he wish he had. His real life was that of unhappy, insecure and sad and depression somewhere in between. I do enjoy this museum. It was my second visit here. The last time was nearly 10 years ago.

We were on a short driving tour of the Berkshires and we stayed in Lenox as a base. Each day, we drove out to see various historic sites like the gilded age mansions and of course the Rockwell Museum. Due to our schedule, we had to visit on the day the museum is closed to the public. So we parked and walked all around the grounds around the main building and down to his studio. Lots of outdoor sculptures to look at as we walked around.

9//25 - Part of our NE bus tour, this stop was full of nostalgia as I remember many of his paintings. The down stairs displayed all hi post covers & had an interesting movie about his life . Upstairs features many of his original paintings. The tour of his studio was included in our tour, not necessary unless your a big fan. If your from near or far, it's worth a visit.

They don't give any real information about Norman's life in Arlington VT. He had 2 homes in VT. One he accidentally burnt down. The second, Rockwell's Retreat, is right down the road. It has been lovingly restored including his studio which, with the help and love of Arlington people who knew Norman and were his models, gave the new owners so much insight that it is truly like walking into the studio and expecting to see Norman. Don't stop just at the museum in Stockbridge, go up 7A highway to Rockwell's Retreat in Arlington VT. If you love Norman's work, then you can't leave out the years of his life in Arlington.

Amazing. Love Rockwell's work. What a fantastic contribution to art and social commentary. The museum is well curated. The grounds are pretty. I have a printing my wall at home.

Norman Rockwell Museum. There are some nice grounds that you can walk and it was the right time of the year with the apples were just falling out of the tree. Museum was very clean with plenty of things to see. Had the entire collection of Saturday evening post covers. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Must see. The three massive, intricately carved interior stone staircases alone are worth the free admission and your time, now with restored skylights admitting gorgeous natural light. Don’t miss the Hall of New York paintings gallery or resplendent assembly chamber with its stained glass windows and carved coffered ceiling.

The New York State Capitol building is truly breathtaking. Its intricate and unique architecture stands out with incredible detail and craftsmanship. The massive stone structure is both historic and majestic, making it one of the most impressive landmarks in Albany. Whether you’re into architecture or just sightseeing, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Absolutely incredible. We have been to almost every capitol building in the US and this one is my favorite! Wish we could have done the tour. Simply stunning architecture and so much variety. Great exhibits inside. Street parking was relatively inexpensive.

Of all the 35 or so state capitols I have seen, this is probably the best. The scale and architecture of the place is amazing. Came on a Saturday during a pass through of the area, so didn't get to see the inside, which I am sure is fabulous. I am sure parking on a weekday not fun. I will definitely be back to tour the inside.

This Capitol is amazingly beautiful. If you happen to be in the area it is 100% worth the visit. They offer free tours, and Amy did a great job today.

The New York State Capitol is one of the most stunning buildings in Albany — a masterpiece of stonework and history. The Million Dollar Staircase inside is breathtaking, with intricate carvings, portraits, and details that show off incredible craftsmanship. Every corner feels like a piece of art. Whether you’re into architecture, history, or just want a beautiful place to explore, this building is a must-see.

My best tip: take the FREE hour-long tour. The friendly, knowledgeable guide (ours was Lorraine) will take you to areas you may not be able to access on your own, all the while providing interesting facts that will truly enhance your appreciation of the history and architecture of this landmark. Tours are at 10, noon and 2.

I have visited this museum on several occasions. About 3 and enjoyed it every time. I visited by myself and twice with my wife. The first was just out of curiosity. My wife's family lives in Albany so while renting a airbnb we stopped by this museum. No long lines but inside there were a great deal of people. There is a sesame place exhibit and a African American exhibit detailing life throughout the 20th century. There is also a 911 exhibit that is hard to watch with actual fire trucks from the attacks damaged and all. I didn't realize this museum existed. I don't believe I finished the exploration after 3 times .it's free and worth the trip.

Parking was free on weekend. Spent about 1.5 hours in the museum - could have spent more time. Admission was free. Interesting exhibits.

We wanted an education about the earth and it's movement. Rocks and movement upon the millennium. We received a grand education of millions of years. From the smallest of shells and plants that held safest to the layers of life. To, perhaps us. Thank you.

This museum has exhibits about natural history as well as the Metropolitan. I only visited the part about the metropolis. Most of the displays are old items brought from New York City, such as antique fire trucks and decorative pieces taken from demolished buildings. The layout isn’t very well organized, and the flow feels a bit confusing.

A visit to the NY State Museum instills a sense of awe and respect for history and diversity of NY. Kid-friendly and free, this museum has something for everyone. Highlights include exhibits on indigenous people, migrants arriving at Ellis Island, African Americans and Harlem, and the tragedy of 9/11. The museum can benefit from updates and more interactive features. Don’t forget to ride the classic carousel on the 4th floor and rekindle your inner child.

Just did the sky rider tour with some of my friends, and we had an absolute blast. We got to go on 5 ziplines and walk over a really cool suspension bridge. It was during peak fall foliage, so the views were absolutely stunning. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable, engaging and fun! I would highly recommend booking a tour with them if you are in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

What a fun day! We did the full 3 hour tour with Sam, Luke and Bryan who made the whole experience a lot of fun. They were great guides and clearly love their jobs. The length of the tour definitely made it worth the price! Just be prepared to use your 'abs'.

Awesome time. We did the mid mountain tour for starters but definitely want to return for the skyrider. We had a ridiculous amount of rain and ended up completely saturated but it didn't stop the fun at all. I mean if you haven't ziplined down a mountain in the pouring rain, did you even Zipline? Such a fun time and the rain made us go faster 😂 our guides Brandon and Kincaid were awesome. We had a lot of laughs and fun during our experience. Looking forward to the skyrider in the future.

The zip lining was an absolute blast today, I would 10/10 recommend everyone go and enjoy themselves! The tour guides Zack, Nate and Dustin were hysterical and fun easing everyone's nerves, and really made the experience even that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to come back again someday!

Make sure you have a way to secure your phone and stuff. I forgot this and bought a Fanny pack-type-thing for $20. First time zip lining for my girls and me but we had a blast. Group size will be about 5-10. Guides are very patient and good about getting the little ones to take their first zip when they are 50 feet in the air. They don’t get frustrated if it takes more than 5 minutes for the kids to let go.

My wife and I went on the Skyrider Tour and love it! It was my second time here but my wife's first. Our guides Luke and Dakota were great and made the experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying this Excursion at least once, you won't be disappointed.

New York Zipline Adventures skyrider tour exceeded our expectations by far! It was such an amazing and fun experience, with incredible views of the mountain range! Coming mid-October was a great idea as the fall foliage was beautiful. One of the best parts was our guides. Tink, Dustin, and Dakota were so awesome, we felt very safe and in good hands! Not only were they very knowledgeable and experienced, but all three had the best personalities and told funny stories which made sure everyone in the group had a memorable time. I definitely want to go back again, and will be absolutely requesting the same guides.

I'm the president of a newly formed senior group called the Sandyston Legends. For our first group trip we choose The Pride of the Hudson river cruise. We were not disappointed. Besides the weather being perfect the cruise was so relaxing and informative. Everybody in our group had a great time. The staff was great. And a special thank you to Lynn for the arrangements. What a fantastic 2 hour tour on the Hudson. We wanted something fun for our wedding guests to do that were in town the day before the big event. This was the perfect activity. The crew were exceptional and even sectioned off an area for our party to have privately, which made it great for dropping off our bags and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Also, they make a killer espresso coffee with a kick on board. Forget the mimosa and get the coffee drink. Thank you for an incredibly fun time!!!!!

This was a nice simple boat trip up the Hudson River, turn around by West Point and come back down. It’s a nice simple couple hours. There is a cash snack concession. The seating was spacious both upstairs and downstairs. The crew was attentive, and the captain was informative. The narration was automated and loud enough for even handicap people to hear. This trip allows you to see many historical houses and West Point. We definitely would do this again.

We went on the pride of Hudson as part of a two week vacation To the Rockland County area. This was a fantastic way to see all the places on the eastern west side of the Hudson that we have driven past for many years. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and you could tell they love their job. Love supporting local businesses like this

Yesterday was our 2nd time on the Pride of the Hudson. Our 1st time was in August 2021. It is a really nice 2hr cruise on the beautiful Hudson River. You get to see all of the historic sights & go down to West Point & back up again. The ship is always full so go early if you want a seat but we usually wind up standing to take pics & be out of the sun when my son needs to & so then we sit downstairs for a lil bit at a table, have some drinks(you can bring your own just not alcohol) & watch the views there while listening to the narrator. They sell snacks, hot dogs & every kind of liquor & beers. It is really a great time & we will probably go back again in a year or 2 again!

Took my sister for her birthday. Ride was the perfect duration and staff was awesome. We got the lunch add-on and the sandwiches were great. Loved the yummy coconut sorbet! Had such a blast💗

We chartered the Pride of the Hudson boat for our 45th Wedding Anniversary in October, and everyone had an absolutely splendid time! The captain and crew could not have been more welcoming and helpful to the large (90+) group on board, and went out of their way to make sure everyone was doing well. As you might have guessed, some of the folks in attendance were not as young as they used to be, but with the ramps on the dock and to the ship, along with able assistance from the staff, we all got on and off board safely. The weather cooperated and we had spectacular views of the fall foliage throughout the trip. I heartily recommend this company for anyone looking to have a wonderful time cruising on the Hudson!

This park is beautiful, it has a lake and waterfalls and multiple easy trails to walk. It also has a small beach with a lifeguard where you can swim. There is also an area for kayaking. The only thing I did not like, was the area for long distance swimmers, there is a sign that states “only members can swim”, however it doesn’t say you can’t walk in that area. My husband and I walked there and a crazy “Karen” wanted us to get out and go back to the trail. We were admiring the lake and walking and not bothering anyone. It really did not make any sense, needless to say I stayed longer just to make her enjoy her day 😂 even more, some people just act entitled and I will put them in their place if needed, but it’s not the park’s fault. After all, it is a park, and people should be allowed to explore unless otherwise posted. Aside from this incident, I would recommend this park, you will need a few visits to see everything! Also the visitor’s center staff are very friendly and helpful.

Minnewaska State Park is honestly one of my favorite places to just get away and chill. The views are unreal—think cliffs, lakes, waterfalls, and endless trees. I love hiking the trails here; every turn feels like a new adventure, and the air is so fresh. Whether I’m hanging out by the lake, snapping photos, or just taking in the scenery, it’s always super relaxing. It’s the kind of spot where you can totally unplug and just enjoy nature. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with awesome views, you’ve gotta check this place out!

Hands-on most beautiful state park in New York has preserved the legacy of park’s founders Smiley brothers by maintaining the carriage roads and trails in excellent state. My favorite loop is to follow Castle road to Lake Awosting and return back via Hamilton road back to Minnewasca lake. Very scenic views that don’t require serious hiking effort, just slight inclines and declines. Natural beauty of Shawangunk Mountains here is supplemented by road building prowess of preserve’s founders and is the reason that we still have the park available now to thousands of daily visitors at a modest fee. Many grand historic hotels of Catskills don’t exist anymore including burnt out Cliff House and Windmere hotels previously located at shores of Lake Minnewasca till 1970s, so really glad that conservation efforts have succeeded here. New visitor center and expansive parking lots are huge improvement over park’s facilities of just six years ago.

Visited: Friday, October 24, 2025 I hiked the Castle Point Loop starting from the Upper Parking Lot. The parking lot was spacious and not crowded — definitely past the peak season — and parking was $10. The weather was a bit chilly, but the fall colors were still beautiful. At first, I took the UA trail toward Castle Point, but it was mostly gravel and not very exciting. Later I switched to the BR trail, which was better, though I hardly saw anyone the entire time — maybe fewer than five people total. The hike itself felt a bit monotonous; even on the way down, it was just gravel again, so I ended up jogging down. I remembered Gertrude’s Nose being much more interesting and scenic in comparison. I stopped by the Falls at the end, but honestly, it wasn’t something I’d go out of my way to see again. Overall, it’s a decent hike for solitude and views, but not one I’d rush to repeat — especially considering it takes around 5 hours round trip.

Oh, it's so lovely. I come down from the north, and seeing the beautifully colored autumn leaves is especially a big treat. The most basic trail around the large lake in the park is perfect for couples to come and take a light, short walk. Of course, the surrounding scenery is beautiful, needless to say. If you've done a lot of hiking, there are courses suited to different abilities, so it would be great to experience them together. The view of the park from above is truly breathtaking. The visitor center is clean, and the staff are very friendly. Even though I visited on a cloudy day, I highly recommend it to anyone nearby or within a 1-2 hour drive!

There is a lot of canopy for shade but there wasn't a lot of water coming over the falls. It was like a clogged shower head. You need to come after a rain storm. Over all it was nice, quiet, and not crowded. You can hear the sound of silence, and nature.

One of our favorite park for years. You can hike. We love trail bike riding here with the family. The views are spectacular! Worth the uphill ride. No camera can capture its actual beauty. And we love what we call “the secret lake” - Lake Awosting since it’s in the middle of seemingly nowhere. Surrounded by hills and trees. Not always open so check before you go. Perfect full day activity. Bring snacks. Every ridges and valley points are worth stopping to just soak in all that grandeur nature has to offer! Please make sure to take your trash with you as you go to preserve its beauty.

Great experience at the Kykuit Highlights Tour. This tour is about 1.5 hours and covers the first floor of the estate and outside. There are other (longer) tours that include more of the estate if you like. All tours leave from the Visitor's Center. There is a large parking lot there...but there is also some overflow parking around the corner ii needed. The overflow lot is a short walk to the Visitor's Center. The center has a large shop with lots of gifts and souvenirs. There are also some snacks and bakery-items (coffee, tea, pastries) available for purchase. There are bathrooms and the ticketing area. You check in at the ticketing area and are given a hand band. A bus (very nice and comfy) will take the tour guests from the visitor's center to the estate...the ride is about 10 minutes. The tour guide will also be on the bus offering some information throughout the ride, including information on the structures and facilities within the larger estate as you pass those by. The tour itself was great...but I can see some may want to visit the other floors of the estate, which is only included in the longer tours. Lots of information throughout the tour. They do keep the schedule pretty tight though as I noticed our tour guide checking the schedule regularly to determine how much time to spend at each room. I understand this is crucial in order to accommodate the various timed tours but it does leave little room for asking questions and some of it felt a little rushed. Photography is ONLY permitted outside of the estate. You cannot take photos inside the estate. You are taken back to the visitor's center when the tour it completed. Overall I had a great visit. I would love to return to view some of the other offerings...such as the Philipsburg Manor. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

This is a very good place to visit as it is a former summer retreat of John D. Rockefeller who was first American billionaire and the founder of Standard Oil. Well maintained and a great location with awesome views. However the "classic tour" does not let you see the whole house as the upstairs of the property is still private area owned by the Rockefeller family. The tour was about 2 hour and they took the group onto a bus ride from the ticket place to the Kykuit estate house.

The tour is quite extensive and the tour guide is knowledgeable about the Rockefeller family and the many many art pieces in the home and grounds. The tour includes first floor, massive grounds, basement art gallery, and carriage garages. Parking was at Phillipsburg mansion and then take a shuttle to the mansion. Be early as the shuttle does leave at the ticket time and it was quite busy.

We did the Grand tour. Our guide, Dana, was very knowledgeable about the house and gardens. It was a drizzly day so we didn't get as much outside but additional spots were added on the inside. There are a lot of stairs. It is always fascinating learning about people from the past.

We did the standard tour which is about two hours start to finish from the visitor center at Philipsburg manor. A few things to note: You CAN have water in a sealed container, but you may not drink it inside the house. All bags will be checked before entering the main house. Photography is only allowed outside of the house on the grounds. We’ve made it a habit to take our visiting family to historic estates we have yet to visit and this weekend it was Kykuit. While the house itself is impressive, it’s complimented by the various artworks and sculptures placed throughout inside and the grounds. The two hour tour gives you a nice tour of the main floor of the house, the main grounds, and the art galleries in the basement. Then, you get a peak inside the carriage house to view the collection of classic buggies, carriages, and cars. You start at Philipsburg Manor Visitor Center and they shuttle you to the house and back. There are several moments throughout the tour that offer spots to sit for those in need.

The Rockefeller mansion. Kykuit, is an estate to behold, the bus ride up from Sleepy Hollow is fun. The house is spectacular as are the grounds. The home has a variety of different tours, with different price points. The panoramic view over the Hudson valley is truly magnificent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

I learnt so much from this tour: Stunning views, exquisite art work: it’s nice to learn about people who’ve built America. You have to buy tickets to see this place. I was amazed that the outdoor - an orange flams and railings were made by Tiffany. Very meticulously maintained. Loved the gift shop too.

Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is a shopping paradise for anyone who loves top brands at great prices. The variety of stores is incredible—luxury designers, sportswear, home goods, and everything in between. The discounts are genuine, and with a little patience, you can find some amazing deals. The outlet itself is beautifully designed with an open-air village-style layout, making it enjoyable to stroll around. There are plenty of dining options and rest areas, which make long shopping days much more comfortable. Parking is extensive, though it can get busy on weekends and holidays, so it’s best to come early. It’s worth setting aside a full day here because there’s so much to explore. For visitors from New York City, the shuttle buses are very convenient. Overall, an excellent destination for serious shoppers.

If you’re in New York and you’re into shopping, this is the place to be. A return ticket is $45 via a bus and gets you access to most of the clothing and apparel big name brands. Their foodcourt is also spacious and serves great food. I’d recommend taking the 8:30am departure from NY and 3pm back from Woodbury to avoid traffic. Trip each ways is just over an hour.

I was here for the annual Brest Cancer Awareness Day and this is one of the coolest malls I’ve seen. They have many of my favorite stores/brands. I definitely enjoyed shopping around after the Brest Cancer Walk. If you’re into luxury brands, you should definitely check it out!

The outdoor setting made it feel more like a relaxing day trip than a shopping spree, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The food options were also a nice surprise, with a good mix of quick bites and sit-down spots. Overall, it was a perfect shopping experience, made even better by the gorgeous weather. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun day of deals and sunshine!

Smashing place! You need to come here with your won trolley else you might end up buying one. You need patience to look through at the Nike or Lululemon store. The Coach and Michael Kors are all pretty neatly managed. I was in awe of some of the offers on display. The Brooks Brothers store was another lovely place. Clear with their offers as always.

I had an amazing experience shopping at Woodbury outlet stores. The collection is amazing and the discounts are unbelievable. It’s one of a kind experience and one must shop from these outlets. Luxury brands like Gucci, Ferragamo, Valentino, Burberry, have many options to choose from! I am coming again to shop my heart out.

First timer ! It’s a couple of hours drive for us and visited this as many of my friends suggested this place. The parking is a bit tight and I had to pay about $12 to get a premium parking … lots and lots of good shops and showroom here, but it is pricey. The best part about this outlet is the food court even within the food court. The food is pretty expensive.. I have been to Jackson premium outlets and Jersey Garden malls and this Woodbury outlet is the most expensive out of all three .. Adidas Nike showrooms were good, but not much of discounts. Lots of other shops like Kipling , polo Ralph Lauren etc .. the stuff is good but again , it looks like they UP’d the price and then give us discounts ! Overall an average premium outlet mall. 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Central Park in the Fall — Absolutely Magical! Visiting Central Park in autumn was better than I ever imagined. The colors, the crisp air, the skyline peeking through the trees — it felt straight out of a movie, only real. The park is wonderfully kid-friendly and dog-friendly, full of families, friendly faces, and space to explore. From the winding paths to the shimmering ponds and quiet lakes, every corner is breathtaking. The city views are stunning, and everyone we met was kind and welcoming. Central Park is the most beautiful place in New York! Perfect for photoshoots, horse rides, and boating on the lake. It’s also one of the best romantic spots for a date. Everywhere you go, you can hear live music, which adds such a magical atmosphere. I love visiting in any season — spring with blooming trees and fall with falling leaves are my favorites. A truly unique place you can’t find anywhere else in the world!

Central Park is an incredible place — a true green oasis in the heart of New York City’s concrete jungle. It surrounds you with peace and nature, making you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Perfect for a walk, a picnic, or simply to sit and breathe in the calm beauty of the park.

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

Visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The museum is breathtaking in both size and scope, offering a rich and diverse collection that spans centuries and cultures. We had the morning free before flying home and wanted to visit somewhere new to us. You could actually spend the whole day in this magnificent museum. It's structurally beautiful as well as having displays that are truly impressive. The Egyptian items were outstanding, the burial items, jewellery and finds took our breath away. The wall paintings on the burial building were spectacular. Also the photograph of the wooden replica boats all broken and then repaired and on display were incredible. They all had a black bob hairstyle! The Greek section was fabulous as was the Asian. The African panels on the ceiling, totem poles, tribal costumes and carvings were beautifully painted and definitely a favourite of ours. The Japanese garden was quiet and a place of calm and very much represented the culture. We had a quick stop at the cafe, the queue went down fairly quickly and people were constantly moving so tables became available. This museum turned into a highlight of our trip and I have already told friends to put it on their to do list when visiting New York.

⭐️ Incredible World-Class Museum in the Heart of NYC. I visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bought my ticket at the entrance. It was busy with tourists, but once you step inside the galleries the museum is so huge that the crowds spread out quickly. The exhibits are absolutely incredible — Egyptian mummies, sarcophagi, medieval knights, full suits of armor, ancient weapons, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and so much more. The collection is massive and honestly mind-blowing. At some point we were so tired from walking that we had to stop, because this place is endless. It really feels like stepping into ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and world history all inside Manhattan. There are clean restrooms, plenty of places to rest, and a nice gift shop on the way out. A must-visit NYC museum. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

I haven’t been to the MET ever since coming back from the army. I used to go all the time, especially when they would have new exhibits in the museum. What made me go in the first place was because I’m writing an essay on art for my art history class. I wanted to share so of the photos that I took on my journey.

Man Ray exhibit was fantastic. Ancient Egypt was also very cool. So big, impossible to see all in 1 visit. upstairs musical instruments room was awesome and the armor and swords too. loved the big open natural light room where the Egyptian tomb was. Really great place.

The Met in NYC is one of those rare places that somehow exceeds the hype. The moment you walk in, you feel the weight of history, culture, and artistry from every corner of the world. The collection is massive — truly something for everyone — but it never feels overwhelming. Every gallery is intentional, beautifully curated, and full of details that pull you in. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to get lost in time. One minute you’re in ancient Egypt, the next you’re staring at a Van Gogh that stops you in your tracks. The staff is friendly, the layout is intuitive, and the entire experience feels like stepping into a different world for a few hours. If you’re in NYC, this is a non-negotiable stop. It’s not just a museum — it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave.

Carved out 3 hours and still barely got through maybe a half(if even that) of the museum. The staff there was great and the student discount of 17$ was pretty great, and I think it’s awesome that New York residents and local students only pay if they want to, that’s a cool perk. One thing is, at times it definitely felt like a maze getting through the galleries.

Finally, on my 5th trip to NYC we did Rockafella Centre instead of Empire State. What a great experience. Great views of the NYC skyline which includes the Empire State. The Beam was so worth it as well. Great views out towards Central Park. Could have stayed up there for even more hours. Nice little cafe/bar with terrace area to sit and chill while admiring the views.

We visited Top of the Rock and were absolutely amazed! The view of New York is stunning — especially the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline. The entry was quick and well-organized with minimal waiting time. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the city vibe, take incredible photos, and soak in the views. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting New York for the first time!

Visiting Top of the Rock was such an incredible experience! The views of New York City are absolutely breathtaking. The elevators are fast and the observation decks are very well organized, making it easy to enjoy the sights without feeling crowded. Definitely a must-visit

Top of the Rock was fantastic — much quieter than the Empire State Building, which made the experience way more enjoyable. The views to the north are incredible, especially over Central Park. You also get a perfect view of the Empire State Building, which you obviously can’t get if you’re standing on it! Highly recommend going around sunset for the best light.

Even in drizzling rain this was an enjoyable experience. We actually really like the foggy photos we got too! One of the cheaper birds eye view options with two different tourist photo opportunities. Though I usually find those to be cheesy, if it wasn't raining during our trip I could see their unique recreation of the iconic construction photo snapped during the building of the rockafeller center could be super cute/fun and very New York specific, and I may have considered it in better weather.

Loved Top of the Rock! The views are incredible even though you’re not the tallest building in the city. Took almost no time to enter even though it was pretty busy being right around dusk. The night views are the best. Definitely do this on your trip to NYC.

Going for a walk early in the morning feels refreshing and leisurely. The display boards might be more visible if it were a bit darker… but I still prefer the time when daylight is just beginning to break. Even in the early morning, there are a variety of food options like hot dogs and corn dogs.

We finally visited the iconic Times Square and whatever I had heard before about this is not an exaggeration. The vibe, atmosphere and the electronic billboards make this place a very happening one. Lots of shops and eateries near this place. A great crowd every time you visit. But at night after sunset this place becomes more awesome. Must visit and multiple visits are my recommendation.

Walking through the throngs, catching glimpses of costumes and celebration, and capturing these moments in photos and video made me appreciate the magic of New York in a way words can barely capture. Halloween night 2025 will forever remain vivid in my memory as one of the city’s most unforgettable moments.

This is nyc the busiest city in the USA. I love and hate this area at the same time but mostly I love it because the shows are nearby and you can get reduced prices if you wait online and so many food, places and historical places and even the US armed horses recruiting services center and you should definitely walk this area and not drive because you will be stuck in traffic During the day. Enjoy!

Times Square is always an incredible place to be. There’s an energy there that you really can’t find anywhere else. From the street art and performers to the endless flow of people from all over the world, it feels alive every hour of the day. Visiting during the day and coming back at night gives you two completely different experiences. Daytime is vibrant and busy, while nighttime transforms the whole area with bright lights, massive screens, and a unique atmosphere you have to see for yourself. It’s definitely a must-visit spot every time I’m in the city.

We kinda spur of the moment decided to do this, while in NY. So didn't buy tickets in advance, although it wasn't difficult to do so there, as they had computer ordering systems on site to use, we would have been able to see and realize that there is a price difference amongst the different "time slots" and that entry times are set every 15-30mins apart. There is thorough security to get in, and lots of staff around as well. The place was clean, and spacious. The history on your way through was very interesting. The view from the top was really good, we paid extra to go to the 101 floor. And although it wasn't a huge difference from the view of the 85th floor, I'm glad we did it. Defiently recommend visiting the observation deck of the empire state building atleast once. We went up during daylight hours, so I may, someday come back for a night view.

Go see it, you won't regret the time you spend exploring this iconic building. We're from NZ, so this was a bucket list visit and I loved everything about the museum walkthrough, old footage and experiential stuff. Views are phenomenal, breath taking even on a good day like we had. We just looked and looked at the vast expanse of this city and didn't want to leave. So much NY history in the one place, it's worth the entry fee for sure. If you are remotely interested in the Empire State Building you'll love it.

From the 86th floor, the city lights stretch in every direction—Times Square glows, traffic forms ribbons of color, and the skyline looks its best after dark. Crowds are lighter at night, so it’s easier to enjoy the view and take photos without rushing. Overall, the nighttime atmosphere feels calm and memorable. If you want a classic view of Manhattan with less daytime noise, this visit is worth it.

I chose the ESB over the Rock and other viewing platforms for it's historical significance. Built in 1931, in one year and 45 days, featured in many famous movies and recognized around the world. It even has it's own zip code! My first time in NYC so definitely had to go all the way up to the 102nd floor which is completely enclosed so good for cold weather! But you have great views from the 86th floor also which is open air and enclosed. Reservations are required and earlier is less busy.

I found the 86th floor to be pretty adequate for photos.I didn't see a point to go all the way to the top, To be honest. The views are pretty spectacular.You get to take photos from both the eightieth floor and then open air eighty sixth floor. There's lots of museum and stuff to look through before you get up to the elevators, you can either look at it or skip it.It's up to you. Then, at the end, of course, there's a gift shop. I would highly recommend this. I would probably recommend it over some of the other tall buildings because of the history surrounding this one. And it's pretty centrally located, so you can see everything from the eighty sixth floor.

I must say, this is the most magical place on earth, if you go to New York, this is a must. The prices of the tickets are affordable and the experience makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. We went in the evening and seeing the lights of New York was magical. It bought the city to life. The staff were really friendly and the museum part was interesting as it taught you about the Empire State building. Will definitely come back and visit.

One of the great things about traveling to any city is obviously the people that you meet. In my brief visits to New York, though, I've found it difficult to meet and to engage with local folks. On Nov. 12, 2025, I woke up in the morning thinking about how cool it would be to make one great human connection that day. I whispered to the Universe that I’d like that kind of encounter – a chance to get to know the real New York. It turned out that I had been looking for such a connection in the wrong place because I wasn't looking up. That's when my wife (Won-ok) and I decided to tour the Empire State Building. That was one of the things that was on my life bucket list, something that is a quintessentially American experience. When we made it to one of the lookout areas, a very kind woman named Renita greeted us with such warmth that it was overwhelming. Some people just radiate goodness and kindness, and spending time with Renita was the only time that trip that we felt the sun. My aunt happens to have the same name so the name struck a particular chord with me. Renita asked if there is anything that we would like to know. I was a little embarrassed by how little I know about the city. Renita Immediately helped me overcome my sheepishness and began answering questions from me and Won-ok. It didn't take long for one thing to lead to another and for the three of us to find ourselves in a deep, soulful conversation. Renita told us she has been working at the building for many decades. A native New Yorker, she saw the World Trade Center go up – and she witnessed the horror of the towers going down. I learned more about the history and spirit of New York in the moments I spent with her than I did on the entire rest of my trips there combined. Renita is a credit to the Empire State Building and to the city of New York. My wife and I saw a lot of amazing things on that trip but the experience that made the greatest impact on us was Renita -- New York’s ambassador in the sky.

A wonderful use of old elevated train tracks turned into beautiful greenery in the middle of the city. So many different kinds of vegetation and lots of great art to see along the way. We walked about 2 miles of it from The Edge down to Chelsea Market.

The High Line is one of the most unique and enjoyable outdoor experiences in New York City. Built on an elevated historic rail line, it offers a peaceful walkway above the busy streets, with great views of the city and plenty of greenery along the way. It’s a perfect place for a stroll, whether you’re looking to take photos, enjoy the art installations, or just relax in a quieter space. The mix of plants, architecture, and open views of the Hudson River makes it feel both urban and calming at the same time. Depending on how fast you walk, you can explore the whole thing in about 30–60 minutes, making it a great stop that doesn’t take up your whole day. It can get crowded during peak hours, but it’s still a lovely experience overall. A must-visit if you’re in the city and want something scenic, relaxing, and completely free. Lovely for an autumn walk and lots of great photo opportunities. Clean bathrooms. Lots of city views. Surrounded by buildings with unique architecture. Lots of benches and viewing areas, including one where you can watch traffic. Landscaping and sculptures.

This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.

The Experience: This is a fantastic spot for a nice walking experience above the city streets. It offers a unique perspective of Manhattan and serves as a great path to get to Hudson Yards, offering a perfect, looming view of The Edge as you approach. Accessibility Note: Be mindful of where you enter. I found the stairs to be very steep at the access point I used. If you have heavy bags or mobility issues, you definitely want to double-check the map for elevator access beforehand, as the stairs can be a workout. Verdict: Despite the climb up, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. It’s a refreshing break from the traffic below.

A unique and beautiful walkway throughout New York City. From Hudson yards to Little Island, an extraordinary yet calm walkway above the streets. And offer a serene and calm experience. Would highly recommend.

This might be the best urban park that I've ever visited! What a great way to meander through the Chelsea neighbourhood with some elevated views of New York City. I imagine it can get extremely busy on a nice day, but its certainly work checking out if you're in the area. Lots of little pockets of space if you want some privacy from all the folks out for a walk.

This exhibit was amazing! Getting to see history. I was in the 6th grade when this event took place and just seeing it now from a different perspective as an adult just hits different. I'll share some photos that I have taken but it is 100% worth the visit. It just opens up so many more questions about where we are now against where we may have been. It also questions perspectives on mindsets these days but I will not get into that here. This place was awesome and I would definitely love to go back during another visit to NY.

Back then, the Twin Towers stood tall and proud, dominating the horizon. I remember looking up at them in awe, thinking about how massive and permanent they seemed — like nothing could ever topple them. At the time, I could never have imagined that I would one day return to the same spot and find that the buildings were gone. When I came back years later to visit the memorial, the feeling was surreal. The area where the towers once stood is now a place of quiet reflection, marked by the enormous, cascading pools set within the footprints of the original buildings. Water flows continuously, creating a soft, mournful sound, while the names of the victims are engraved around the edges. Standing there, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of history, loss, and resilience. The emptiness where the towers once reached toward the sky is both haunting and profoundly moving. Walking around the memorial, I was struck by the contrast between what I remembered and what I saw now. The city has moved forward, new buildings rise around the site, and life in Manhattan continues its relentless pace. Yet the memorial holds a stillness that makes time feel suspended. Every detail — from the endless water, to the engraved names, to the subtle landscaping — is designed to honor what was lost while reminding visitors of the strength and perseverance of those who survived, and the courage of those who came after. Being there, I couldn’t help but reflect on the impermanence of even the most monumental structures. The towers seemed unshakable in my memory, but tragedy and time proved otherwise. The memorial doesn’t try to replace them; it doesn’t try to replicate what was lost. Instead, it invites visitors to pause, remember, and honor. It’s both humbling and healing, a space where grief and respect coexist in a quiet, powerful way. Visiting the 9/11 Memorial is an emotional journey. You leave with a deeper understanding of loss, resilience, and the fragility of even the mightiest human creations. Coming back to a place I once knew so differently, seeing the towers replaced by pools of reflection, reminded me that memory and history are alive — and that remembrance is as important as rebuilding.

Wow wow wow. Months behind on leaving this review, but wanted to be sure to encourage others to visit. This was such a well thought out memorial and museum. Very thorough and respectful to those who perished. It is very moving. To be in the space, looking at the foundation, the energy was palpable. This was agreed way to honor those souls and those who lost their lives saving others. Incredible.

One of the very best museums I've ever been to. Very comprehensive displays tastefully done. Recommend ordering tickets ahead of time for early morning to beat the crowds. Some time slots sell out. The audio device is also highly recommended.

Buy tickets in advance. Allow more time than the recommended 60-90 mins, especially if you are old enough to remember where you were when you heard the news or saw it unfold. Highly moving exhibits bring the victims front and center of your visit, making the experience all the more personal and emotional. Be prepared. However, it is an experience I highly recommend. Those who forget history are bound to repeat it, and this is an event we should never forget.

This museum was the main thing I wanted to do when I visited New York for the first time. Buying my ticket and getting into the museum was easy and organized. The exhibits were well done and organized in a timeline that was easy to follow. There were plenty of staff members to direct people and answer questions as well as a self guided audio tour that was available for purchase. This was a moving experience and I would recommend this to anyone who is able to visit.

Zoos provide an amazing chance to connect with wildlife that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to see without traveling across the world. Most of them do their best to provide habitats that give animals humane treatment and a safe place to roam with as much space as possible. Designed as part of the South Mountain Reservation located in West Orange on just 20 acres, Turtle Back Zoo is managed as part of the Essex County Park System. Tickets were easily gotten by visiting their website for a Saturday visit. Upon arrival as first-timers, parking was well organized and free. The zoo is not huge, but there is a decent amount of walking, so if one goes, be sure to wear comfy shoes. Water misters were set up throughout the park to help cool off on hot days. It’s recommended to start at the top of the zoo or top of the hill and work your way down. There were plenty of interesting animals to see from all continents except Antarctica, such as flamingos, condors, bald eagles, penguins, giraffes, etc. Seasonal exhibits (butterfly and bird tents) require an additional fee. They have a touch tank featuring stingrays. My partner and I stopped by Savanna Cafe for lunch (no outside food allowed inside). The food varies from burgers, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, and chicken tenders to salads and ice cream. We decided on chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings, ice cream, and water. It was decent, served its purpose, but was pricey. This is a must-take fun for any age classic New Jersey day trip, which we can recommend.

Had a fantastic time at the turtle back zoo!!! i went with my brother. we hadn’t been since we were little children and it was so much fun to rediscover the zoo as adults. i recommend getting there early, parking was free and we drove right in. no lines! which was fantastic. they had lots of different areas to see and it was a great time overall. a lovely day activity for any animal lovers.

You cannot beat the price per person on a weekend to enter this Very nice zoo! Stop by if you love animals and take a look at all the beautiful wildlife that lives here !! The zoo is very clean and the staff is so helpful and kind , consistently walking around the property to make sure the animals are good and the customers have any questions or concerns there is always a staff member near by , you can also pet and feed the cownose stingrays which is very cool! I highly recommend stopping in to this amazing zoo!

Great zoo! Parked in their garage for free. The animals were beautiful, and the design of the facility and habitats is very impressive. Very kid and stroller friendly. The staff we came upon throughout the park were very nice and friendly. The kids burned some energy at the cool prehistoric playground. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Had a wonderful time! Just don't go during afternoon in the summer. Most animals would be taking a nap or hiding in the shade to cope with the afternoon heat. Make sure you have water with you, you also need to cope with the walking and afternoon heat. A lot of folks brought outside food and snacks, which I thought was a great idea as there's not many options. Not as many exhibits or diversity as Bronx zoo but still very lovely, less crowded and charming. My favorite was the Giraffe and red panda exhibit. You can also feel the giraffe and the birds for couple extra bucks, if you choose to.

I made my second trip back to Turtle Back Zoo recently after quite a long break, and it was a mix of nostalgia and new discoveries. The layout has expanded, and there’s definitely more to see but also more walking! Each themed area feels like its own little world, which makes the journey between them fun, even if your feet start to protest by the end. I remembered the peacocks roaming freely last time, so it was a bit surprising not to see them this time around. Still, the variety of animals is impressive from big cats to reptiles. Depending on the weather, a lot of them were lounging in the shade, which made spotting them a bit tricky. One of the highlights was feeding the giraffes such a cool, up close moment that made the visit feel extra special. There are also plenty of spots to grab snacks, rest, and take photos, which came in handy since I was snapping way more pictures this time. Whether you're going with family, friends, or just looking for a peaceful day outdoors, Turtle Back Zoo offers a great mix of education, entertainment, and nature. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth the visit especially if you haven’t been in a while.

I have the luxury of homeschooling my daughter and so we invested in the yearly membership for the zoo so we can come every single week. We love the train, feeding the stingrays and watching keepers doing animal feedings. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. They genuinely seem excited talking about what they do and it feels great knowing the people taking care of the animals love what they do. The new vet building is totally amazing if you’re able to catch it while they are caring for animals. We were able to watch check ups being performed on baby emus, it was so cool!

This has changed A LOT since I was a kid! It went from being a wonderful hike to a tourist trap. $22 entrance fee is WILD! I understood why once inside; all those stairs changing this from a hike to a boardwalk of stairs must be expensive! By creating a walkway like this, it's made this area into something that people feel is easily accessible for a non-hiker. I just wish I wasn't expecting to hike.... What a bummer. AND you can't even get close to the waterfalls like you once had access to! You used to be able to get right to the water's edge. Not anymore.... If you are looking for an over-crowded, family in the way of your photos, easy-ish hike. This is for you. If you want to be in nature and HIKE, this isn't the place for you.

But your tickets in advance. Take pictures of your confirmation before arriving. There’s almost no cell service there. The site is amazing. The waterfalls are beautiful. The biggest one is up front. The walkways are well maintained. Wear very comfortable shoes. Be prepared to walk on gravel, grades and stairs. It’s worth it. We did the Red trail. 2-2.5 miles. Posted for hikers only. If you don’t hike, carefully consider if you can do this trail. We suggest doing it counter clockwise. It starts off more strenuous and the last half is easy.

A beautiful walk amongst the hills viewing the many waterfalls. Scenery was beautiful The walk was a little strenuous at times but well worth it for the hour and a half it took us.

This is one of the privately owned area with Plenty of parking. The price of $22 expensive to enter for only a few falls. When we visited during October the water streams had close to no flow water level, which was disappointing. Takes about 2 hours to walk and some step sections are long to go up and down. Half of the trail is near falls and the other half goes through the gorgeous woods. One can avoid the trail and just come spend some casual time with family in the nature.

What a gem of a park!!! Beautiful views of countless waterfalls. You can day walk or hike hard either way you won't be disappointed. Friendly staff. Nice gift shop and vlean bathrooms. A must see for the entire family.

A very beautiful place, often called the “Niagara of Pennsylvania.” Bushkill Falls is impressive: several waterfalls, clean trails, viewing platforms, and wooden bridges. We chose the Yellow Trail — it was easy and very scenic. Tickets were $22 per person at the entrance. Keep in mind there are stairs and climbs, so wear comfortable shoes and be ready for a bit of exercise. Overall, it’s a great spot for a family walk and photos. Definitely worth visiting at least once!

Came here for a hike on our honeymoon. The trails were amazing, the waterfalls were so cool to see up close. Definitely recommend to any outdoorsy person! Plus as an added bonus the shops are super cute and have something for everyone. And an added bonus the pressed penny machines were a great vacation throwback.

Nice park. Everything was chill and smooth. Rides were good and my kids enjoyed everything. The only thing that was a big problem was the fact that my wife and I waited in line for more than an hour to order food at the bar for our kids. It was really annoying watch 1 person try to service the bar and the guests ordering food. She handled everything professionally and quickly but it's sad that she had no help.

I'm so disappointed. I went with my husband and 2 kids we went because my son wanted to go for his bday which is 9/3 which clearly they are closed which is understandable this is why we went on 8/31 we got there early so we didn't have any issues with waiting on long lines . If you ask me the price for parking is absolutely insane $12 to park far away $35 if you want " mid " way and $40 dollars of you just wanna walk up about 15 or so steps 🤦 so before we even enter the park we are already paying $40 for parking . Then we purchased 4 day passes which was about a hundred and 40 something I believe my husband said . Anywho so the temperature showed it was about 69 going up to 73 I believe so yes the sun was shining and hiding because it kept coming in and out . So first we walked over to the lazy river 🥶🥶🥶🥶 omg that water was absolutely freezing cold I don't know how people were even in the water freezing there behinds but I just couldn't it's a " Lazy River " not a frozen riven you are supposed to go in and just relax . Alot of life guards had on sweaters everywhere you looked there were people wrapped with towels because it was so 🥶🥶🥶🥶 you just couldn't enjoy the water . Then we walked over to the Olympic pool we walked in and pretty much wet our legs because it was so cold you couldn't even swin and enjoy it . Then we tried the wave pool 🤦🤦🥶🥶🥶🥶 another area of water that had freezing cold water . Which completely sucks because you pay money to go to a water park you figured the water would be enjoyable but nope that's not the experience we had . So while I was shivering on a beach chair wrapped in my towel I decide to call guest services to see if anything could be done . So I explained how we paid money to park and enter the park and we aren't able to enjoy ourselves because everything is extremely cold is there some type of compensation we can receive maybe some type of discount to return next summer but I simply got told NO ! once your ticket is scanned there really isn't much that can be done . So I told the guy so basically we spent almost $200 to come in and just touch cold water he's like a there's nothing we can do . And don't get me started on the price of the snacks in there 🤦 talk about highway robbery a bag of m&m was $6.00 freaking bucks for a regular small bag a small bag of chips was like $5.00 bucks 🤦 a small drink from the fountain machine was $2.50 smh . It really sucks that we went and drove 2 hours to come and enjoy this park and that's the last thing we did because the water was way to cold to enjoy . So that is why I'm only leaving 1 start because we were extremely disappointed and my son did not get to enjoy his bday after we traveled for about 2 hours . So we came back home disappointed.

Staff is very friendly and professional. Rides are well-maintained. Parking seems a bit on the expensive side ($12, $30 or $40), but whatever. Great variety of food stands.

Great outdoor water park. The kids loved it. I highly recommend renting a cabana for the day as it used it to take a break and get lunch and to rest in between all the rides.

It is great that they are doing Fireworks Fridays this Summer! Open to the Public at 7:30pm and typically piared with some kind of entertainment leading up to the Fireworks. Enjoy some Rita's, Beer, and food and have.an enjoyable evening with the family.

This place is crowded like crazy on Sundays. DO NOT GO! Price is cheap but that makes the crowd VERY HUGE. Line is about 1hr wait so we bought the $30 express pass. BUT! Express lane has the same lane as the normal lane, we had to ask people to move away to go through the line. PEOPLE LITERALLY THOUGHT WE WERE CUTTING THE LINE and they were mad. We had to explain. And it’s frustrating and embarrassing. Aside from that, the slides were fun. Side note: I would suggest going to other water parks, unless you want to save money.

We had the most amazing time at our wedding this October. Our guests did not have enough good things to say and the day went seamlessly. We appreciate all of the staff's hard work and for putting so much care into providing excellent service for their guests. The winery is so beautiful and we truly wouldn’t have changed a thing about our wedding day. They were so accommodating and so lovely to work with throughout the entire process. We can’t wait to go back and visit soon!

Went to a 5:30pm wedding there last weekend and there was a horrible smell in the parking lot and on walkway to the ceremony site. Smells like backed up sewer line. Persisted all night. Almost unbearable. Several drunk ppl from wine tasting were allowed to wander in wedding tent. Sign posted said outdoor grounds close at 4 and winery closes at 6. However staff did nothing when about 10 wine tasting customers sat on wall to watch 5:30 wedding ceremony and talk loudly (and drunkly). Staff also did nothing about drunk ppl screaming in parking lot during ceremony. Comical because the owner will not allow DJ to play music at enjoyable level. No one was able to hear parent/child dances. DJ said this is because owner’s home is directly next to wedding tent. This place is beautiful but they need a serious customer service overhaul. If you want a fun peaceful wedding you should look elsewhere!

Absolutely loved my visit to this winery! The atmosphere was peaceful, the views were beautiful, and every wine I tried was perfectly balanced. My host, Carol, made the entire experience even better — she was friendly, knowledgeable, and you could tell she truly enjoys what she does. She explained each pour with passion and made great recommendations based on what I liked. I left not only with a few bottles but with a real appreciation for the craft behind them. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for good wine, great company, and genuine hospitality!

We hosted a surprise 50th birthday celebration this past weekend and it was truly amazing! From the first time we met Tom and his team, we knew it was going to be a great venue for us. All of our guests raved about the venue, the quality and selection of the wines and the entire team at Crossing Winery. The bartenders were very friendly and made sure all of our guests were well taken care of the entire night. The ambiance with the fireplaces and wine made our night perfect! We can't thank them enough for helping us make true memories of a lifetime. Special thank you to Tom and his team.

The staff was very friendly, the wine was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. If you sit at a table, be prepared to order on your phone through a QR code. Don't worry if your technologically challenged, the staff will ask if you need help.

Crossing Vineyards helped me and my client host a wonderful event at their beautiful winery. Their entire team -- event manager, server, and bartender -- were all fantastic. Super efficient, kind, professional, and accommodating. The food and wine were great, and the winery made us feel right at home. All of our guests were impressed and kept saying how lovely the venue was. Hope to be back soon when I'm off the clock and can enjoy more wine!

Not a great casino. Was there about 20 years ago and went again in 2025. Need players card to order drinks. Must play $5 to order and can only have one drink every 30 minutes. At least 40 slots broken. Casino is half smoking as well.

Came to this casino for the first time. At the entrance the security was very rude & disrespectful. 0 starts deserved earned at an entertainment service business before even entering the casino.

What a night with lots of luck and fun

The table suddenly became very busy, and the dealer kept blowing cards, but they changed 4 dealers within 10 minutes. The staff called a few people to look at it, and said it was very strange, as if we were cheating. , they said they were going to close this desk and they were going to get off work. No way, the rules of the game are theirs. The next day, I went to the same table and kept losing. The dealer kept getting 20 and 21 points. I asked the staff when the table would be closed today. The dealer told me that in addition to changing the cards, the table would be replaced with new cards. , will not be closed. Yes, shameless behavior can only make you lose, not win. When you are lucky, they keep changing people to deal cards, or close the table directly. There is no justice at all... don't go gambling in this place, their behavior is so bad

Bush league services and amenities. Unhealthy conditions and clown shoes service. It is clear there has been a recent management change for the worse. Our stay started with the front desk being unable to locate our reservation. Despite it being made months ahead of time. Next my coworker discovered that our shower would not drain. When maintenance arrived they pulled 3 hair extensions worth of hair out of the drain. They have done away with complimentary breakfast (which my coworker would not stop complaining about for our week long stay), the attached restaurants are over priced. One night I ordered medium steak, at "market price", and received a brunt piece of charcoal that was no where near worth what I had paid for the meal. Next security saw fit to give my company vehicle a "parking warning" threatening to boot or tow it. With no explanation for the warning. The vehicle was legally and parked in a valid area. No signage, no markings, no attempt to contact me. When I contacted them, they admitted that the warning should not have been issued. It never occurred to them that the vehicle was parked for more than 24 hours, because the guests were staying for longer than 24 hours. All these above mentioned things are annoying but what is unforgivable is my coworker and I both observed the house keeping staff clean our room one day. The house keeper took the reusable glasses and coffee mugs, washed them in the room's sink without soap, and replaced them. There were no new glasses or mugs on her cart, so this must be a standard thing for this staff. Dog feces located everywhere in the landscaping and parking lot. The room does not have a microwave and the refrigerator barely cools drinks at the max setting. The computers in the "business center" in the lobby are running illegitimate copies of Windows, the styling of the rooms and public areas are clearly cheap and tacky. The free wifi is open, public, and not in the least bit secure. It is clear the powers that be are cutting corners where ever possible. In short, anyone staying here should not expect the most basic level of customer service and expectations to be met. For the cost of the room alone, I would expect NONE of these issues, let alone one of them to be experienced during a week long stay. The only people that have any idea of what they are doing is the polite and professional maintenance staff. But that is not enough for me to reserve a room here next time.

Reserved a room for Friday Night May 11. Arrived to check-in only to be rudely informed By an employee at registration desk that despite having an itinerary Number with a Confirmation Number confirming our reservation, They were over booked and they had no rooms available. After 15 minutes of waiting the hotel manager (I guess as she never Identified herself) rudely offered to shuttle us to another hotel off site. I recommend not wasting your time visiting the Sand Casino. Your better off visiting another resort.

Wasn't allowed to bring my 20yr old son through the casino to eat at Emeril's Burgers and More. Don't know why security couldn't escort us to the restaurant. Last thing we wanted to do was waste money on the slots. All we wanted was a bite to eat. Security said the only option was the food court. Definitely not worth it.

I recently took the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway train trip out of Jim Thorpe, PA, and it was such a pleasant experience! The ride takes you through some absolutely beautiful scenery along the Lehigh River and deep into the Pocono Mountains. The fall foliage made it even more breathtaking — it’s the perfect time of year to go if you love the colors of autumn. Get there early if you're visiting during peak season — the town and the train was crowded, especially on weekends in the fall. There is no booking in advance option in this period! The train itself has a charming, old-fashioned feel, with both open-air and enclosed cars. The ride lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, and it’s just the right length — long enough to enjoy but not so long that it drags. The narration over the speakers gave us a bit of history about the region and the old railroad line, which added a nice touch without being too intrusive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and boarding was smooth and well organized. Jim Thorpe itself is a lovely little town, so it’s worth making a day of it — grab lunch, walk around the shops, and then hop on the train. Overall, the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway is a great, family-friendly experience that offers a peaceful way to enjoy some of Pennsylvania’s most scenic landscapes. Highly recommended!

Such a fun and memorable experience! The ride itself was beautiful — you can choose between open-air cars and enclosed cars with windows. The scenery through the gorge is stunning, especially in the fall. The car hosts were super friendly and pointed out interesting landmarks along the way so we could get great photos. My two toddlers loved it! We went on a Tuesday in late October and were able to buy tickets on-site. Arriving about 20 minutes before departure was plenty of time to get tickets, and board comfortably. Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Jim Thorpe!

This train is beautiful, vintage decor, great service, beautiful views. It isn't a long ride, which I was fine with, I paid about $75 pp which included a small breakfast of sausage, egg, fruit and mimosa/coffee. It was just ok for me, my husband was happy to finish his and mine. We enjoyed this very much and highly recommend it.

Scenic train ride offered for all 4 seasons including holiday themed rides - highly recommended! Definitely suggest arriving early as tickets for certain rides are first come first serve. I also recommend trying to sit on the right side of the train as the left side you'll mainly see the mountain side. Also dress for the weather because, at least on my visit, the train cars are not climate controlled.

This was a fantastic fall experience. The town and the train ride were an amazing end-of-fall must-do. The town itself was lovely and had plenty to do. I recommend bringing a blanket if you’re visiting late fall with little ones. The prices vary depending on your seat, ranging from $22.00 to $24.00 for adults and $9.00 to $10.00 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the train booth, not online. The train ride is 45 minutes.

Beautiful views. Have been 4 times in the last Couple years. Only improvements I could suggest is adding more comforts and heating to the open air cabin, and having the docents be more informed to be able to answer questions. We asked the one in our car about something In the area that the voiceover presentation had mentioned but he knew nothing.

A cute experience to enjoy while visiting Jim Thorpe. We arrived just in time to jump on their noon time ride on a November week day. There were plenty of tickets available for the later rides as well. The track you go on isn’t the most exciting or scenic, but it was fun to take a ride on the train. The best part was the narrator and train staff. They did a great job telling stories and keeping people engaged.

Stayed in the newly renovated Stardust tower for 2 nights. The hotel room was beautiful - open closet, 2 double beds, desk, refrigerator and safe in a nice credenza with a big screen TV mounted to the wall (with Netflix and YouTube). The sink/vanity was nicely done and outside the small bathroom (toilet and tub/shower only). Turn down service is by request only. There seems to be about 20 rooms per floor in a circular pattern which was unique. There were 3 elevators and we only had to wait on it a couple of times but otherwise it was pretty quick to get in and out. There’s ample parking outdoors in addition to valet service. It was a short drive to the King of Prussia mall and Philadelphia Expo Center.

I was happy with everything about the casino. The food is good, the drinks are free if you're playing games, you have a smoking place with games which is nice. The machine I was playing malfunctioned with over 600 dollars in it and although it took them an hour to figure it out they made sure I got my money and were very nice about it. The only thing I would say is I went in with 6000 dollars and came home with 2500 🤣🤣🤣 I never have any luck at valley forge casino and I always win at Hollywood in perryville md. I do understand that that's the plan when you walk in the door is to get all your money so I'm not saying anything negative about the casino Im just making an observation that I tend to win more during the 7am to 10pm time frame and I do better at Hollywood. With that said I still go to valley forge casino because it's on my way home from work most days. Lol. Good luck everyone!!!!!

We love Boyd, but this facility could be much better. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4:45, then we had the hardest time getting a waitress to come around and give us a drink. We eventually sat at the bar and those guys were amazing.

My absolute go to Casino. It's just right size and the atmosphere is safe and clean. I can even play and cash in my lottery winnings when I go there. The servers come around consistently and Valley Forge gives out good incentives.

I don’t know if we were just in an odd room but it was really dark. I mean so dark we had to move our suitcases next to a lamp to see. The vanity was in the hallway. Furniture was old and bed terribly uncomfortable. It was just a bit tacky. The staff was great but we were really disappointed that the bar outside the casino shuts down at 10 on the weekends. We were there for business and not gamblers so this was a bit disappointing. We just do not feel that we got the value for how much we paid for our room.

The room was clean, welll kept, nicely appointment on overall pretty nice. It has a modern look and feel. I would have given the room 5 stars, except our balcony overlooked a roof. Not really the hotels issue, but a little bit of a bummer. That said, the gentleman working the front desk was extremely pleasant, cheerful, and was very welcoming. About a quick minute or two walk over to the casino.

Let’s talk about Mike Wilson Bar tender at the comedy club. Guy over served me and says $20 unlimited drinks. One that’s not a thing So after my first drink I am told hey can you pay for one my manager is going watching. I said no because I was told unlimited drinks for $20 and guy proceded to tell security and staff I didn’t pay. Which is wrong I mean unreal out of this place I’m a young comic who wanna perform here and told basically I was stealing cause I didn’t wanna pay bartender for what he didn’t promos
