Adventist Health Arena

Conference & Convention Centers
Nestled by the water, the Adventist Health Arena boasts a striking modern glass facade and serves as a vibrant hub for sporting events and live performances. This dynamic venue has been an integral part of Stockton's entertainment landscape since 2005, hosting everything from thrilling basketball games featuring the Stockton Kings to spectacular concerts with artists like Carrie Underwood. The arena is also home to exciting events such as WWE shows and family-friendly productions like Disney on Ice.
Today, I enjoyed myself at the Adventist Health Arena‼️The Stockton Kings played Sioux Falls and it was a great game‼️The main reason for my visit was the Link Up Event‼️This is the second or third event held here and it's always amazing‼️ The Link Up Event is a Sneaker, Streetwear, and Vintage Clothing EXPO for the whole family‼️If you haven't, you should definitely check them out‼️ Their events are top-tier and always a treat to be apart of‼️All-in-all, the Arena is very nice, spacious, and I really love the elevators so I don't have to walk up all the stairs with my bad leg‼️
DANTE D — Google review
Great place for a comic con! Went here for my brother’s jujitsu tournament, then a comic con. Found a rare find and got the very first Deadpool comic!!!😎 And got a picture with a stormtrooper:0 It just took forever waiting in line, and I wish they would allow food and drinks to be brought in.
Shelley S — Google review
Stockton Arena, Now known as Adventist Health Arena, this venue has been a major part of Stockton's sports scene since 2005, previously hosting the Stockton Thunder (ECHL), Stockton Heat (AHL), and currently the Stockton Kings (NBA G League). While the arena offers modern upgrades like LED banners, a new jumbotron, and an improved sound system, attendance has declined in recent years. The departure of the hockey teams and lack of city support has weakened the strong community connection the arena once had. However, its location near the University Plaza Hotel makes it a convenient option for out-of-town visitors.
Joshua B — Google review
We went to go see jo koy and it was awesome. Sitting on the side and having to turn your head to look at the stage sucked. The seats are to close and there's not to much space to walk through. Parking sucked too. Had to walk a few blocks.
Christina R — Google review
Went here for a little Wayne concert and Overall it was a good experience. Parking was easy and not too expensive. It cost 20ish not crazy but I’ve seen worse. Seats in the area were clean and comfortable. It had drink holders and they were spacious. Staff was very friendly and kept area clean. Bathrooms were nice and maintained. Someone broke off the paper towel dispenser and a worker came in and fixed it relatively quick. Food are expensive like any arena, 8.30 for a bottle of water after tax which wouldn’t have been bad it they had a bottle refill area but they didn’t. The only other bad thing was they had a good amount of water fountains but they were all Turned Off. absolutely criminal for that, like I get they need to make money but having them all shut off was devious. Ended up spend 30+ dollars just for water. Overall fun but they need to provide free water to drink.
Anthony G — Google review
First time there and it was Amazing. Took My 3 year old Granddaughter to see Disney on Ice and we had An Amazing Experience. The show was Wonderfully done and there was plenty if seating.
Melinda C — Google review
Great place for a concert, whether it's for one artist or several. Wide enough space for walking throughout the arena. Clean. Parking is clean and not hard on a car's tires or suspension. Unfortunately, there is little to no security to ensure any valuables left inside a car is safe. So better to put items that can't be taken into the arena, in the trunk. It's a little off the beaten path, not in the safest neighborhood, and a little hard to get out of once the event is over, but it's manageable. Having multiple vendor booths for a artists merchandise, is easy and does not overlap with attendees standing in concession lines. A plus! Concession only accepts credit cards, no cash. The arena, itself is great for concerts, even the seats on the sides have a good viewing of the stage, and sitting in these seats won't even cause neck problems. Security is pretty decent, nice, friendly. A few of the guards on the night I went, were a little rude, and invasive. Like they didn't know to keep their mouth shut or their voice down to a whisper, instead it was like they were at a boxing match cheering a boxer on, it was really disruptive. And the people who worked the Concession Stand, they were really nice, friendly, patient and helpful.
Pam — Google review
Great place to see a concert! Easy to get to from freeway, ample free parking within close walking distance, loved the numerous smaller concessions and restrooms with smaller quicker lines rather than waiting in loooong lines at larger venues that only have a few giant concession stands. Friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks & food!

Art museum
The Haggin Museum, located in Stockton's Victory Park, is a hidden gem that showcases three stories of galleries featuring paintings by renowned 19th and 20th-century artists. The art collection includes works by Albert Bierstadt, Rosa Bonheur, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, Jean-Leon Gerome, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Additionally, the museum offers exhibits on local history with artifacts and recreations from Stockton's past.
I went on the first Saturday of the month which has no admissions charge. Highly recommended! They have a very lovely collection of beautiful paintings, and the first floor history museum is so cute. They use the old boardwalks from the Amtrak station I believe down here in Stockton and they recreated the general stores from the early days of the city. They also have a very lovely collection of native American artifacts. Third floor is all advertising art from Leyendecker. I immediately fell in love with the very first painting from when you walk in.
Mandie V — Google review
A very enjoyable 90 minutes. They have quite a variety of exhibits, including some interesting old steam engines for fighting fires. The entrance fee is very reasonable and the staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable.
Craig C — Google review
I visited this museum recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The building was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. There was a nice mix of exhibits, some really interesting artifacts, and a few interactive displays that made the visit more engaging. The staff were polite and available to answer questions, which I appreciated.
Laree C — Google review
A great museum with a lot of oil painting masterpieces and local history exhibitions! Free admission every first Saturday of the month, quiet and well organized!
Lei C — Google review
Very well done! It’s been some years since we last visited this museum & the improvements are quite impressive. The bright open interior accentuates the high ceilings, wood panel flooring, decorative moulding. The Fine Arts are beautifully showcased, telling an elegant story. The Historical Collection amazingly preserved. The Sci Fi Collection an amusing addition. Bonus: We went on “Free Saturday”, which happens once monthly.
L C — Google review
Exceptional, quaint and intimate fine art museum! We were more than impressed with the collection at the Haggin. We strolled and took our time in each exhibit, taking in history and seriously magnificent works of art. The Haggin is a hidden gem not to be missed! I recommend the museum store for interesting gifts, too. Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cheryl C — Google review
No spoilers but there is a freaky trunk on the basement with a macabre story… Don't judge the museum by the outside, there is no parking lot, its surrounded by a park where many ppl go, but when I stepped in, it felt like a complete different World. A contrast of local history and old tractors with beautiful paintings and sculptures from late 1800. Downstairs the rooms you look in through a window are so incredibly well put together and your mind travels back in time for a bit. As well as amazing Native American art…Highly recommend a visit, park on the streets and walk through the park to the front door. Its great, Im telling you.
Maurice A — Google review
Beautiful little museum with exquisite artwork and displays. My favorite was the Leyendecker gallery. Under the Mexican Sky was a bit underwhelming. I was expecting to see actual Mexican artist/photographers with a lot of vibrant colors but it was dull. Other than that it was a wonderful experience. Everyone that works there were very nice and knowledgeable.

Klinker Brick Winery

Wineries & Vineyards
Klinker Brick Winery is a delightful gem nestled in the picturesque agricultural landscape of Lodi, where vineyards and orchards thrive. During my visit in early April 2022, I was warmly welcomed by gracious hosts who guided us through an enjoyable wine tasting experience. We sampled three different flights featuring a variety of wines, predominantly reds with some sparkling options and rosés that offered a pleasantly dry twist on traditional selections.
We had an amazing tasting. The woman who helped us was so friendly and kind. We loved all of the wine and the relaxing atmosphere.
Kim W — Google review
Two star experience and Three stars on the wine. Nobody pours each wine and explains its info. Nothing about where it’s grown, it’s vintage, alcohol content … nada on the paper that gives us the minimal info on the thimble pours that all come out on a tray at one time. Would Not Recommend. (The chocolates in the photo were brought by us). So many beautiful places that are more experiential!
Ann R — Google review
We were very pleased with the selections here. Our server was very helpful in finding the wine we liked. We ended up buying 1/2 a case! She also helped us find other area wineries we might like. All-in-all, a great experience with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great wine!
Amy W — Google review
The tasting room is so pretty here, especially decorated for Christmas. I've tasted here before on a weekend and was blown away that there were four flights to choose from. This time there were two. The wine is reasonably priced and tastings are waived with a bottle purchase (2 bottles purchased to waive the reserve tasting). This time I headed in about an hour before closing and felt rushed by the staff despite there being several other people still tasting in the room. The patio area is beautiful and I may try again in summer.
Shauna W — Google review
We had a wonderful visit and wine tasting at Klinker Brick Winery in early April of 2022! Their winery is in the agricultural area of Lodi: grapes, walnuts and more. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. The three of us chose to taste the three flights they offered that day. Mostly reds with a couple of sparkling, and roses. We found their wines to be enjoyably dryer than our usual selections. It provided us a palate pleasing contrast. We spent the night at the vineyard via harvest hosts. It was a beautiful sunset in the arms of the grape vines.
Stephen N — Google review
Great value wine tasting. We did the $10 tasting and got to try 7 amazing wines they produce. The location is gorgeous and the attention, superb. Will be back and will.tell others visiting our AirBnB in Stockton about it too.
Manuel ( — Google review
Klinker Brick never disappoints. The wine tastings are amazing. The customer service is wonderful. We recently became wine club members after several years of visiting while passing through Lodi in our van. They hold our deliveries for us so we can pick them up whenever we pass through. We bought a case of twelve bottles for our rehearsal dinner and people loved the wine. A few visits ago, we arrived within a half hour of closing and they accommodated us. Our friends were amazed by the quality of the wine and the beauty of the locale. 10/10 recommend.
Kaili K — Google review
Heather took us through a wonderful wine tasting experience. She and the other wonderful ladies even stayed late as to not make us feel rushed. The wines are exceptional and so are the staff! Definitely on our places to return list!

Fun & Games
Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is a laid-back lodging option that offers casual rooms and suites, along with an outdoor pool, two hot tubs, and 24-hour gaming. Guests have enjoyed the beautifully decorated resort during the holidays, likening it to a Vegas experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating, while the rooms are clean and spacious. The casino provides both smoking and non-smoking areas, as well as complimentary soda and coffee for guests.
The food is excellent, the service was perfect and the Casino was a fun way to spend a couple hours gambling then off to try and decide the best Prime Rib with a baked potatoes it was so Hugh, I couldn't finish it, being approx. four inches thick, a BIG baked potato and a medley of toppings for it. Altogether we left happy and full, and enjoyed the Casino, the food and the atmosphere.
Kathleen G — Google review
Hotel rooms are older but clean and room had a balcony. Quick walk to the casino. Pool is heated to a comfy 80 degrees and was comfortable to swim in, in late October. Casino has a nice variety of slots and table games. And couple of decent restaurants. No booze served in casino. You can drink booze in the Lone Wolf lounge.
Lisa H — Google review
Jackson is a beautiful casino. I love that there is plenty of room to walk around comfortably even at their busiest times. The casino floor is very spacious. For slot players like myself there is a wide variety of machines to choose from. Very well trained staff. The customer service is excellent and very refreshing compared to a few other casinos I have visited in California. My boyfriend visits Jackson Rancheria weekly. I did not give them 5 stars due to the access of the hotel to and from casino. It is quite the trek from casino to hotel especially for us seniors. The rooms are nice but not as nice as they should be. That is just my opinion. Most casinos with hotels you leave your room get in an elevator and it takes you right to casino floor. This casino you have to exit the casino and walk to the parking garage take an elevator up to 3rd floor parking garage and walk the cement uphill walkway to the hotel lobby. I myself have to stop and catch my breathe a couple of times before getting to my room. I am not sure why it is designed this way. We used to stay at the hotel once a week but it is much more convenient for us to just get into our car and drive an hour home. That is my only complaint about Jackson Rancheria.
Andrea F — Google review
The bingo here kind of sucked. I asked and paid for 2 of each of the extra games and did not have them. So they should have given me the 2 missing games for free but instead asked me to purchase more. Plus hardly anyone actually played paper here and If they really do use a timer between calls. There is no way they could have used a timer because the calling was erratic. Not my first choice. Stick to the slots here.
Rhonda B — Google review
Very, very nice RV park!! However, it is very expensive as compared to comparable parks. We are full-time RVer's and stayed here only for a few days while heading south. We enjoyed our stay very much. Went to the casino one time just to check it out. Gambling is not our thing but it was very nice none the less. There is a walking trail around the perimeter of the park, a swimming pool, large golf putting green and dog park. We would stay there again.
Scott P — Google review
This is the best! We always have a great time. The Lone Wolf has wonderful food and great service. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Promotions are top notch!!
Charlotte P — Google review
I like that Jackson still has a decent number of old style machines. Good variety of games. Downside is that there is no food of any kind late at night. Not even the coffee shop.

Very nice property with an excellent steakhouse - Lone Wolf. But, that’s about it. Overall, the establishment is quite boring. No entertainment No lounge (except in the restaurant) No bar All it is is gambling and a couple of restaurants. Disappointing.

The Lodi Wine Visitor Center is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts. Located on Turner Road next to Wine & Roses, it offers a comprehensive introduction to the Lodi appellation. Visitors can learn about the region's winemaking process and the impact of night breezes from the Sacramento Delta on vine growth. With over 200 Lodi bottles available, including those from small-batch vintners without their own tasting rooms, there's no shortage of options to explore.
They have a large collection of Lodi grape wines. Very inexpensive tasting ($12 for 4) and it seems like the tasting menu changes weekly. Was nice to hang out there and learn a bit about the different wineries.

Thank you Brooke, we were so glad to have this fantastic experience tasting a little bit of Lodi during my work trip! This is such a brilliant concept to have in town. I appreciated it so much! Lodi does not disappoint with their wines and we will be back in the area for sure, cheers!
Maggie S — Google review
The staff there were friendly. After the wine tasting, we bought 2 bottles of wine, that were very well packed for us. When I just arrived home and opened the package, I found the expensive wine club exclusive Heavy Hitter Petite Sirah was not sealed. I talked to the manager the next day and he explained some wineries simply send in their wines to the visitor center with the bottles not sealed. This exposes a safety concern to us, because the content of the bottle could be easily changed. It was said there were some environmental concerns with the foil sealing. If so, there should be some sort of replacement like wax sealing. Wine sold with the bottles not even sealed in any way is not acceptable.

Nice place and friendly staff. This was our first visit, we tried their Light Flight for $5, and their Antipasto plate. Next time I would like to try their Reserve Flight.

The space that the winery has for degustation is incredible, but the structure makes it a little but noisy. The wine are not premium. The people is so nice there but they commented us that they winery has been sold and next week will change its name and they will be selling in whole sale. They have nice variety of cheeses, crackers. The outside looked incredible but we were there in a rainy day and even in a rainy day looks like an amazing activity. The prices for the degustation are $5, $10 or $15 per person, pretty razonable and affordable.

Great wine and their tasting room is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful oak everywhere. I've not eaten here, but I hear it's great. I can't tear myself away from the wine long enough to find out more. They have a nice seating area outside should you want to stay awhile.

The tasting room sells a variety of cheese, would fit any wine. Our tasting experience was good (albeit not quick) , and we happily got a couple bottles. Seems a bit to sterile though, no warm and welcoming atmosphere you get at many wineries.

Sadly, Renwood is closing after 25 years. We’ve only been members for 5 years but they have been great. We LOVE the wines - esp. the Wine Club Zins. The food’s always great, etc. A lot of good people will be leaving - hopefully to work at other area wineries. Jessica you’re awesome. The bar has been set very high for Rombauer. Best of success to them in taking over the winery and putting their own spin on things. Great grapes and staff and methods = awesome wine. We look forward to visiting you down the road.

Their wine has improved so. damn. much. I was very impressed how the quality has improved over the past few years. And I am not saying that it was bad before, but it is a testament with what their new winemaker has been able to accomplish. I was impressed! So you can just go there for the great wine, but the actual tasting room was quite nice, as well. I like the newish remodel that was done a couple of years back and how they incorporated a restaurant style eating area there. They only draw back is the room can be quite echo-y, meaning when you hear the cackle of a pack of cougars who got lost coming down from Helwig and decided to stop here, it can be quite piercing on the ear drums. Not Renwoods fault though. I recommend going outside if this happens, which is okay because the grounds are simply beautiful and the wine is fantastic!

Sky Drifters Hot Air Ballooning

Balloon ride tour agency

Balloon Rides
I highly recommend this company if you are considering going on a hot air balloon ride. Especially if it’s your first time. I’ve done a fair amount of extreme things in my life and was hesitant to join my mom and dad on this adventure due to not being able to have any control over the outcome of the ride. Tim the pilot and company owner made my family and I feel comfortable. He demonstrated great discipline controlling the hot air balloon. Midway through the ride I was kicking back and relaxing. I really enjoyed this experience.

Coming into this once in a life time experience I wanted to take advantage of the moment and proposal to my girl and make it special, sky drifters pilot and his wife working together were able to make this moment not only special but better than I could even imagine. The commitment and work they both put in to setting up the perfect proposal scenario was greatly appreciated. Not only that but the view and experience of this location and first time flying on an air balloon was amazing and definitely would do again.

Tim and Erin and just wonderful people and run an awesome passion project of taking people up in an enormous hot air balloon. Truth be told, now that I’m in my mid 40s with a couple kids at home I was apprehensive about taking a chance with my wife and my life… but in the end it was gorgeous peaceful safe and Tim is a true professional pilot. He won’t take any chances and is an expert. You will have fun, get amazing pics and memories and learn some really fascinating history along the way! Thank you!!!

Highly recommend this team!! Such a nice and friendly family. They will give you not just a flight - they will introduce you in history of hot air balloons! Such a good chance to enjoy the view of beautiful area on sunrise. You can see different animals and o lot of lakes. I really love Iren, she doing a great job with making you excited with this flight. She did so many good pictures! Tim had 18 years flight experience so he is professional! I like how active was Tim this morning. He was trying to keep everybody cheerful and excited for flight! he told us about the tradition of drinking champagne after landing and treated everyone to very good champagne. He was very thoughtful and prepared soft drinks too. He has a great sense of humor. You can keep the branded glasses as a souvenir. It was very nice to see how friendly he communicated with his sons, who helped with the flight at all stages. A wonderful and kind family. The best choice for flying. Unforgettable experience!

What an amazing experience!! I booked a flight for me and my beautiful wife who always loves doing things more on the “extreme” side and has never had a fear of heights. Since my wife has had this on her list of things she’s always wanted to do, I figured I would step out of my comfort zone and surprise her with a flight she probably thought she’d never be taking with me. I’ve got to say, for someone who has had an extreme fear of heights, I would do it all over - again and again! The Sky Drifters crew went above and beyond to make our time with them was one of the most safe, memorable, exciting, and comfortable experiences. The minute we arrived, we were cheerfully greeted by Erin (Tim - the Pilot’s wife), she took the time to explain the entire process with us and volunteered to act as our personal photographer the entire trip! Tim is an awesome pilot, who’s very knowledgeable, professional yet funny, and will treat you like family from the minute you arrive. From beginning-to-end he made every effort to ensure that we would get the most out of our time with them. I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! We will definitely be going back and flying with them in the future. Hats off to the ground crew, who were fast, professional, and efficient. Overall, you can’t go wrong with choosing Sky Drifters! Don’t let your fear of heights get in the way of you missing out on such an amazingly unique experience!

What an AMAZING experience!!! I was so nervous about being in a hot air balloon and I can not say more how great it was! Tim and his wife were the perfect people to fly with. Both were so knowledgeable, Tim was answering questions we didn’t even think to ask or wonder about and his wife was FABULOUS and took every kind of picture possible. She was so sweet! I never once felt unsafe. From beginning to end, the team was a total well oiled machine. It was very clear that Tim knew what he was doing and was so passionate about it! We ended the flight in a gorgeous field, with a little history, some amazing stories and the Balloonists Prayer. We were so sad to have the experience end, Tim and his wife were incredible, personable and we felt like we’d known them for years. Thank you SO much Sky Drifters!! I’d spend every weekend this way if I could, GO GO GO!

We had an amazing time filled with kindness and fun. I proposed in the air and my fiance thought it was the most epic romantic experience. Tim and his wife went above and beyond to make our trip as special as possible. And ending it with a very cool story and champagne toast. Sky Difters is a great company!!!!!

BEWARE!!!! Reservations made for Friday, August 29, 25. Owner, Tim called to ask us to reschedule to Sunday, August 31st. We agreed and made changes to our plans. All 5 riders arrived on time, Tim's demeanor was abrupt from the start. He gave us instructions and started to inflate the balloon. There was absolutely no air movement. He tested the air and wasn't pleased with the results. While we waited, the blower generator that was inflating the balloon ran out of gas. Tim had no back up and ran to get fuel at the station. Once back he started the blower again. Approximately 20 minutes later, Tim turned the blower off. His wife let us know, a flight wasn't going to happen. Tim never made any customer contact from the time he returned with the fuel. My husband shared with Erin that we would not be able to rebook as he was flying out of state the following morning for an undetermined time taking care of his elderly parent with severe health issues. On our drive home, we sent an email to Tim, stating our understanding of the weather (not hazardous) and sharing our circumstances. We heard nothing back, Tuesday morning I called Sky Drifters and Tim answered. When I stated my name and asked if he had replied to our email, his tone changed and he said "we're getting ready to leave town for the Reno Hot Air Balloon event this weekend". I again shared our situation and asked when he would be able to reply and refund the $590.00 that had been paid with no services provided. He snappily repeated they were leaving for Reno and he would not be available until Monday, September 8th. At this point I hung up the phone. This entire situation has be deplorable! Again, I say BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sights & Landmarks
Apple Hill, specifically High Hill Ranch, is a popular spot for weddings and family traditions in California. The venue offers a stress-free experience with ample time to prepare for events. Visitors can indulge in delicious pies and cakes at the pie house restaurant, as well as homemade donuts and fresh caramel apples at the market. Families enjoy activities such as hayrides around the orchard, pony rides, and fishing by the lake.
This was our second time visiting and we had a great time! We love looking at all the craft booths. Most if not all booths take card but the pony rides require cash. We shall liked the hayride. They have a good play ground for the kids. I got their caramel crunch apple pie and it was very tasty with their special caramel sauce. We like their apple donuts as well.

Their donuts are one of the best. Freshly made on the house. Had the chance to try their Apple Champagne as welk and it didn't disappoint. We came from SJC and left around 8:30 am. When we got there, the place was already packed. Parking is free and located on a dirt area under the apple trees so prepare to get dusty (do not wear white footwear😊). Dogs are welcomed too. U pick pumpkin patch is located on the opposite road from High Hill Ranch. Come early.

High Hill Ranch is a must see. I have been coming here since I was eight years old w my family and now at fifty-seven bring my husband and three kids all 15+. High Hill Ranch is my fav craft fair, fav doughnut (apple fritter) and fav venue. Take a picnic under the forest trees by the fishing pond, ride the ponies, eat the fudge, but Christmas decor/gifts at the Christmas and seasonal holiday shop...you name it! We used to drive from Reno around 8 or 9 am and arrive in time for lunch. They used to have an amazing family meal with a whole BBQ chicken and sides like Mac n cheese, macaroni salad, cornbread etc. That was the BEST value meal! Now they only have a food truck type stand and the menu is not diverse enough (hot dogs etc) and not healthy either. I wish they would bring back the BBQ family meal! I always bring plastic cups because they have yummy apple cider in gallon jugs. So this way no one has to drink out of the jug during lunch and pass it to the next person! I look around my house each season and most of my fav decor has come from High Hill Ranch or Apple Ridge Farms. The High Hill Ranch Christmas store was closed before 5 pm yesterday and I was so bummed! Hope this stop #1 on the map stays forever so I can bring my great grand kids.

Loved our outing here! The cider, apple pastries/snacks, and fresh fruit were so yummy, and the pumpkin patch was adorable! Would definitely recommend. The only thing is that it gets really busy during the weekends so going on a weekday is helpful.
Diana C — Google review
The ponies are definitely tired so I feel bad for them and I want to say maybe you shouldn’t spend money on that part because they definitely are not happy. They also have a weight limit for the ponies so keep that in mind. Workers are very nice but yes please keep in mind the animal welfare when making memories with your children. They also have many booths open seasonally, a ceramics booth, jewelry, leather belts, wooden cutting boards, 3D printed dragons, soaps and oils, artistic stickers, home name signs, miniatures, teas, wallets and many other gift options. Walnut apple fritters were excellent and their caramel sauce is my favorite in the area. Nice little pond where you can watch the ducks and picnic on a blanket in the shade. Right now they’ve been serving limited amounts of blueberry and pumpkin donuts as well. And there is a Filipino food truck Phil Me Up in the back of the property. As well as the tacos they serve near the hay rides (hay rides? Tractor ride?)

A really fun place to take your family or have an all-day romantic date. I always bring goose food to throw at the duck pond. Enjoy local artists and makers selling their wares, craft projects, and delicious farm treats (the pumpkin butter is fantastic!) Nearby farms offer fruit picking, wine tasting and live music. Explore the farms all day and head to Placerville's charming downtown for a sit down dinner and holiday shopping.

A great place for the entire family. Incredibly talented vendors. Enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich reasonably priced. Get there early, it gets a bit crowded. Personally...... it's okay to leave the four legged family members at home.

Today we visited Boa Vista Orchards, located in Apple Hill—and first of all, it’s truly a beautiful area with scenic farms all around. It was the day before Easter, and they hosted an Easter egg hunt that our kids absolutely loved. A total of 50,000 eggs were scattered across three large field sections, divided by age groups: toddlers up to 3 years old, kids 4–7, and kids 8 and up. We arrived about an hour and a half early and were able to find parking, which was great—because even though there are plenty of spaces, parking can be quite difficult during the holidays. The farm store had a wide selection of their products, and in the golden eggs, our kids found coupons for three free donuts. Their apple donuts were delicious! It was a wonderful day, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

I had the most amazing drive today, just cruising around to clear my mind and take in the scenery. And guess what? I happened upon Boa Vista Orchards! It's this adorable little spot nestled on the side of a picturesque hill. It totally gave me old-school farmer's market vibes, but with a modern twist. They've got everything from trinkets to jams, jellies, juices, and wines galore! Plus, they fire up the BBQ and whip up the most delicious pies and pastries. The whole place just oozes charm and good vibes. Everyone there was having a blast, and the weather was just perfect. And can we talk about how fresh everything is? They even freeze stuff the same day to keep it top-notch. If you're ever in the area, you've gotta swing by Boa Vista Orchards for some tasty treats and stunning views! Trust me, you won't regret it!

Great store at Apple hill. As I know this is the famous one. To get here is a challenge as traffic is very bad. Queue start form freeway. There is alternate exit from I50 west which we can use to avoid the major traffic. Since it is Halloween month, it has pumpkin patch which is nice. The queue for food and pie are very long. The fruits are fresh and cheap. You can buy cooked pie, uncooked pie, apple cider, jam, fresh fruit etc.

Located on Apple Hill, Boa Vista Orchards began in the early 1900s as a potato farm. Today, it has expanded to include a wide variety of produce and more! They offer a market, a bakery, a vineyard, and a deli, among other attractions. When we visited Boa Vista Orchards, we arrived too late for lunch, but I had a hard time leaving the market without buying everything in sight! I ended up purchasing a couple of boxes filled with farm goods and have been happily cooking delicious meals with them since. Once you try fresh farm food, you'll notice a significant difference in richness and taste compared to supermarket products. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend trying their ciders. They have a cider tasting counter where I experienced pomegranate cider for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! it!

Boa Vista is a very cute little market place. We went for Cherry Days and the cherry sugared donut and cherry dumplings were out favorites. Shockingly also the pickled garlic. While we did have a lovely time, this is mostly a shopping and eating experience. I thought (before I called for clarification) it was a bit more interactive, a “you pick” type place. So be aware! There is a cute train (adults under 5’10” can ride, which was nice because our kid was the only kid for a while) but that’s about it for “kids activities.” We had a lovely morning there. Just know what you’re going for! We loved being able to sample different fruits and canned items before purchasing. We definitely bought well 😂

Traffic to the orchard was terrible. The parking patrol guys were nice and friendly. The lines in the store were long, but they had a great system. I will give them that. To many people for my liking. If that’s your thing …. Have fun!!

A great place to get fresh produce at a good price. I got quality pumpkins as well and they have a lot of kitchen ingredients and baked goods. Parking is limited and it gets very busy on the weekends during September and October.
Tye S — Google review
The donuts are great and delicious but super expensive and the line to get them is LONG. I guess because they are so popular. They are delicious. We paid around $24 for a dozen. I don't think we will return just because of the hassle of limited parking, being so crowded, long lines, and higher prices compared to other donut and pie places in the area. But if I was wealthy with an assistant, I'd love them and get them every weekend.

The California State Capitol Museum is a historic institution that offers an elegant and comprehensive look into the history of California through its exhibits and artifacts. The museum is part of the Free Museum Day, where visitors can explore various local museums for free. As you approach the museum, the grandeur of the California State Capitol building comes into view, with its impressive architecture and ornate interior.
This was my first time here. I didn’t get to go inside, but still an amazing view from the outside. Beautiful park surrounding it. Lots of places to sit, relax or set up a picnic area and eat. It’s bustling with people. There’s food trucks around the block. The building is absolutely amazing. They don’t make buildings like these anymore. The architecture, the design, so much thought put into building these older buildings next time. Hopefully I’ll be able to go inside.

Free entrance.open only weekdays. There is a gift shop but it's kind of hidden. No restaurant. MANY bathrooms on every floor. About 1/2 the rooms aren't accessible but they have the others set up as they were for their their period theme. If you like this kind of stuff definitely worth visiting. Top floor has portrates of the previous governors of the state.

Its free and a lot of information if you choose a tour guide. It was lovely to hear the music as we walked in the Capitol; they are having musical selections which varies during the week. It was very nice visit. The capitol is beautiful and regal. Im glad they decided to keep it just as it was. The attendee (forgot her name: curly hair and beautiful spirit) at the gift shop was so welcoming and amazing 👏 🤩. We had a nice time

This is a really interesting space and could be worth a stop if you’re in town — it’s free to enter (brief security checkpoint accessible on 2 sides), and takes just a few minutes to cruise the palatial halls and get some breathtaking neoclassical architecture! The millwork is spectacular, with carved bears on the bannisters and rich filigree on nearly every surface. If you appreciate nothing else, the craftsmanship is next level. It’s almost perpetually under construction, so be aware that not all areas are always accessible and the space is actively being used for government functions — so be respectful around the more private sections while cruising around inside. The ground floor plays host to a few historical rooms preserved for your viewing pleasure, and a small exhibit or two depending on construction. The elevators are full of gorgeous art-deco metalwork and operate relatively quickly. You can also climb the elegant stairs on one side of the main rotunda. There’s a cute gift shop and restaurant in the basement as well. This is quite a structure. If you like epic structures you’ll probably enjoy a quick stop in as I mentioned before. Grounds outside are good for photo ops too.

One of the most beautiful capitals I've visited! There is a lot of construction going on currently but you can find paid street parking. They give tours. There's a robotic coffee shop nearby that's really neat too!

Being at the capitol felt meaningful as someone from Maine to visit the Capitol of another state. They have scheduled tours during the week, usually every hour from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon. You can sign up at the information desk right inside the rotunda. Downstairs there is a small museum with exhibits and a short film about the building's history. They also have a few restored offices that show how things looked in the past. It was good. I learned a lot. Outside is a large park area, about forty acres, with guided walks available on certain days. There are trees from all over the world, war memorials, and plaques that give a sense of the state's past. It felt quiet and informative, not flashy, but steady and respectful. More than anything, it made the idea of state government feel a little more real.

Nestled in the heart of Sacramento, the Crocker Art Museum stands as a testament to artistic heritage, being the oldest public art museum west of the Mississippi River. With nearly 140 years of history, it showcases an impressive array of international artworks alongside its renowned collections of Californian art and ceramics. Visitors can immerse themselves in diverse exhibitions that span European, Asian, and African paintings.
This is one of the best art museums I’ve ever visited. I was impressed by the breadth of time periods and media, as well as the focus on California art and artists who spent most of their lives here. I wish I had time to see everything! You could easily spend all day here. Of special note is the unique descriptions for almost ever single piece on display in the permanent collection that gave immense detail on the artist, subject, and “what to focus on” that helps give special context on the piece.

Phenomenal museum with works by world-class artists that are household names and also a treasure trove of pieces by regional and emerging creators. The price of admission is well worth its value and I spent a solid two hours here. I would have stayed longer save for my parking meter running out! I loved the modern art on view. The only downsides were that the layout is a little confusing with how the new and old buildings connect, and that the cafe closes a little early. Other than that, I definitely plan to visit Crocker Art Museum again!

During a heatwave that extended into the weekend, I was trying to think of a family activity/outing that would keep us cool. My 13 year old (who has a fondness for art & history) suggested that we visit the Crocker Art Museum. My wife and I hadn’t been in years (I believe the last time I visited was when I was in grade school), so we loved this idea and were excited! Unfortunately, this was a last minute decision, so we would only have 1.5 hours to enjoy before they closed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly employee at the desk who issued our tickets. We started at the French art exhibits, which if I’m being honest, I found to be boring and a bit depressing. However, this feeling quickly dissipated when we entered the modern art sections. One of my favorite pieces of artwork was “Empanadas Dulces/Sweet Turnovers;” something about seeing a multigenerational family coming together to accomplish one goal is beautiful to me. Overall, we enjoyed the Crocker Art Museum and are planning a return visit for the near future (this time around we’ll plan for a longer visit)!

The Crocker Art Museum is way bigger than we expected—there’s seriously so much to see. We didn’t even have enough time to finish the third floor! Every room is filled with beautiful artwork, from classic pieces to more modern installations. It’s the kind of place you could get lost in for hours. Definitely planning to come back soon to see the rest. Perfect spot for a date too—relaxing, inspiring, and easy to enjoy together.

Went Saturday, October 4th. Large museum, alot of different exhibit themes. 3 stories of old and modern art. Alot of native American memorabilia. Alot of polynesian ancient figurines. The California State Railroad Museum, located in Old Sacramento, is a vibrant and educational destination for history enthusiasts. The museum offers an extensive collection of vintage locomotives and engaging exhibits that delve into the impact of railroads on the development of western states. With over 20,000 square feet of interactive displays, visitors can explore the history of steam engines, the role of railroads in agriculture, and even view a remarkable assortment of 1,000 vintage toy trains.
A Memorable Visit to the California State Railroad Museum Visiting the California State Railroad Museum was truly an unforgettable experience. As soon as I stepped inside, I was impressed by the size of the locomotives and the detail in every exhibit. I could feel the rich history of the railroad era coming to life right in front of me. What I enjoyed most was seeing the beautifully restored trains up close — especially the luxury passenger cars and old steam engines. Walking through them made me imagine what it must have been like to travel across the country by rail many years ago. I also gained a lot of new insights into how the railroad shaped California’s growth and connected communities. The museum does a great job of combining technology, history, and storytelling. There were even interactive exhibits that made learning fun and engaging. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at the museum and left with a deeper appreciation for the role of railroads in American history. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, transportation, or simply looking for a meaningful experience.

We visited the railway museum right when it opened and were warmly greeted by the staff as they opened the doors. The ticket prices are quite affordable, and the museum itself is clean and well-maintained. The staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable — they took time to explain the history and details of the trains on display. The museum features a wide variety of train exhibits, and there’s even a dedicated floor for kids to play with model trains and watch them move around, which was a fun highlight. Parking is available either at metered street spots or in a nearby garage, which costs around $20 per day. Overall, it was an enjoyable and educational experience for both adults and kids.

The scavenger hunt was a great touch, and the exhibits are very interactive with full-size trains you can explore. The museum is well-maintained, with a lot to see and learn. Staff members are friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. A must-visit if you’re into museums or looking for a unique, engaging experience in Sacramento.

Probably one of the top five railroad museums I’ve been to in the country. Very well done, plane to read, and space for the little ones to run around too. Don’t miss the model trains and the kid play area on the second floor!

Went here on a Friday around 4pm not to crowed. Lots of history, great info, but you really need at least 2 hours not 1 hour we were speed walking, but still saw and read at least 85%. No senior or disabilities discount. May just have to go back.

Top notch experience for 1-90 years old. Real historic train carriages and locomotives on display with knowledgeable staff that will engage in interesting conversation. And that $12 per person fee is a steal which is less than half the price of nearly every museum nowadays! Second floor section is dedicated to model trains which brings smile to children. Highly recommended

Be prepared to have your mind blown! This place was a must to see with or without kids. First the cost of it was inexpensive to other museums. Child 6-17 was $6, 17+ was $12 free under 5. Interactive museums are truly the best way to learn and this was a well thought out museum. We also enjoyed that they had many old timers who knew all about the history and trains walking around as volunteers who clearly loved and enjoyed talking to kids and adults alike. The history museum is next door and was such a let down in comparison so maybe skip that one or see it first, before you go into the train museum.

Studio Movie Grill

Movie theater
Fun & Games
First-run, classic & kids' films, plus a varied American menu & cocktails brought to guests' seats.
Hands down nice place specifically for a first date surprise. Great food and atmosphere. For those complaining about manual/electric power reclining seats, you’re asking for too much…. It’s comfy enough for 2hrs seating. Very respectful and courteous staff. Go experience it for yourself. 5Stars for me.

My kids and I love Studio Movie Grill. We go to the special Sensory showings for my son with special needs. They offer free tickets and you can get them a few days in advance at the box office. The menu has a ton of options from popcorn and candy to chicken wing, burgers, and salads. The funnel cake fries are so yummy, and the Chicken lime salad was delicious. We all left with an enjoyable experience and a full stomach. The staff are always friendly, great service all around. Google "Studio Movie Grill Sensory Showings" to see what movies are playing.

Showed up one day and screen wasn’t working so got these as reimbursement didn’t see nor was mentioned to that there’s an expiry date on the tickets. Showed up with these asked misty GM on 11/15/2025 @ 8:00pm if she can still validate them. She gave us the Hard NO! Love the place but if there was better management in place it be a brighter place to visit.

We went during the week, and no one was there! It was very quiet, but the server made it very personable. Great food (tater tots cooked perfectly) and good seats. It was a fun experience. Recommended for sure.👍

The atmosphere was awesome. Great Customer Service. However, food item priced are very expensive for the quality of food. The chicken wings were dry, the pretzel bites weren't tasty and the pizza was greasy. Due to health complications, I cannot eat greasy food. I asked our waiter prior to ordering and he assured the meat combo pizza was not greasy. It was and I ended up giving my food away.

My husband and I enjoy going to this movie theater. They have a full bar area. You can relax and watch a movie while drinking a margarita and eating popcorn or various food items they have on their menu.
Laura R — Google review
Actual theater and seats are clean and comfortable. I’ve been here numerous times over the years and one thing that’s always consistent is the food. It never comes out hot for us (even when asked for extra hot), most items come out over cooked and it’s just not worth the money. One night my son and his grandma went and ordered the pretzel bites with the cheese sauce and they were sick with stomach aches. You’re probably better off getting quality food somewhere else before or after movie IMO.
ChErIe V — Google review
I’d like to share my disappointment with my recent order this weekend. The lemon pepper wings were overly crunchy and lacked any lemon pepper flavor, and the ranch was extremely watery. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve had issues with the wings, and I hope this feedback helps improve the consistency of your food and service.

Old Town Pizza is a popular spot in Auburn's Old Town, offering a diverse menu that includes sandwiches, salads, and of course, pizza. The pub-like atmosphere provides a cozy setting to enjoy handcrafted coffee at The Pour Choice, the local favorite coffee shop located in the heart of Old Town. Visitors can expect efficient service even during busy times and generous portions of food at reasonable prices.
My lady and I were visiting town for our 13th anniversary and decided to stop by Old Town Pizza for lunch—and we couldn’t have made a better choice! As soon as we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, inviting atmosphere. The open layout created a relaxed yet lively ambiance, and the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness. Our server was fantastic, offering thoughtful recommendations that we absolutely loved. Every bite was delicious, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, Old Town Pizza deserves a full five stars across the board. 10/10—highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back!

This is our "go to" pizza place when in Auburn. I prefer to make reservations online when I plan ahead because it's just nice to walk in and be seated. Parking can be sparse but slowly drive around the building and I've always been able to get close to the restaurant. Now, the ambience is large and comfy at the same time. Keep in mind, for non rainy days, sitting upstairs in one of there many cozy resting / celebration areas. The views are really fun. The choices of food are plenty and delicious. They also have many adult drinks and a full service bar separate but open to the restaurant. I especially like that they decorate for seasonal celebrations keeping it a unique experience from time. We had a family of 7 enjoy two large pizzas, drinks, and a salad for about 110.00. It's not cheap but also isn't too expensive considering the excellent service, food, and atmosphere.

I just wanted to say I love the pizza here and the GF options are awesome. Came here last night and had the best service I have experienced in quite a while. Evelyn D. Was our server and she went above and beyond. She is very attentive to each of her tables and it was busy birthday parties and full tables everywhere. Took the time to let Shane the manager know how well she did. He is relatively new to the area, super nice as well. Thank you Evelyn!

Thunder Valley Casino Resort

Casinos & Gambling
Thunder Valley Casino Resort is a modern hotel and casino offering various dining options, a pool, spa, and conference facilities. The resort has been recognized for hosting live performances by acclaimed artists like Steele. Visitors have praised the diverse selection of games available at the casino and appreciated the cleanliness and maintenance of the premises. Guests who use rewards cards can benefit from perks such as complimentary nights and free gifts.
I was in Rocklin on a date and decided to stop by Thunder Valley Casino Resort since it’s only about 10 minutes away — and wow, what a night. Walked in with a few hundred, played some slots and blackjack, and ended the night up $1,300 plus a beautiful room at an amazing rate. The staff were amazing — friendly, upbeat, and genuinely made the experience feel special. The drinks were perfect too — their bartenders know how to mix a drink just right, and the service all night was top-tier. Our room was spotless and came stocked with thoughtful extras — shave kits, soaps, bubble bath sets, slippers — little things that make a huge difference. It felt more like a luxury resort stay than just a quick casino stop. And I’ve got to mention the gift shop — picked up an awesome Thunder Valley jacket that I haven’t been able to take off all week. I’ve been telling everyone the story of that night — from the big win to the great people — because it really was that memorable. Between the welcoming staff, great drinks, and lucky tables, Thunder Valley absolutely delivered. This was my first time really playing here, but definitely not my last. Can’t wait to come back for round two soon!

Regular here; rooms are always clean and staff is very helpful from hotel. Room service is hit and miss. Rooms most have been remodeled. Suites have jetted tubs and have a very large bathroom. All rooms have amazing soaking tubes and separate showers. Love bathroom set up. Pool is great especially when no kids around. Drinks are great Poole

I had a great time at Thunder Valley. The casino is clean and well-maintained, and both the restaurants and restrooms were nicely kept. One thing I’ve never loved about casinos is having to walk through smoking areas to reach the non-smoking section. I understand that smoking is part of the casino atmosphere, but not all gamblers are smokers. But there is a non smoking section so that's cool. The concert venue was surprisingly decent, and the spa was excellent—very relaxing and beautifully designed. Staff throughout the hotel were consistently welcoming and friendly, and there’s plenty of parking available, which made things easy. Cons: The rewards program was disappointing. If you're staying at the hotel and spending money on-site, you should earn points for all purchases. Also, if you forget your rewards card in your room, it would be helpful to show your receipt and still get credit. There was some miscommunication around that and the advertised 5% discount, which made the experience less smooth than expected.

We really enjoyed the band Zepparella at the Venue tonight. They are a Led Zeppelin tribute band. All four members are awesome artists! Best and most authentic rock tribute performance that I have seen. An excellent band in their own right. They need to add a keyboard player to ther band so they can play Stairway to Heaven as their closing song.

This is an absolutely fantastic place to have a venue where you can get together with people and friends and have some entertainment. In this case it was a friend's birthday and an entertainer (DJ) Carlos Kandia that he follows It was at the winery and so he invited friends to celebrate his birthday. It was an awesome time everyone there including the non-birthday guest had a great time mingling with the people who were there for the birthday.

My husband and I had a wonderful wine tasting at Naggiar Vineyards. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the wines were delicious! We were fortunate enough to work a 200+ person event there recently and it was an incredibly enjoyable and memorable experience. Working with Mary was a true pleasure as well—she was honest, fair, and punctual throughout the entire process. The staff was friendly and kind, the customers were fun and respectful, and Mary provided everything we needed which made the event seamless. We can’t wait to work with her again!

Friendly folks in the tasting room. They have the best Viognier in the Sacramento region. If you prefer reds, you should try their Barbera. They have a great shaded patio to sit and sit your wine, while looking out over a serene pond. In the summer, they usually have free live music on the patio on Friday and Saturday nights. They also have about 6 paid concerts with top level cover bands each year. Not sure about entertaining this year with Covid, but they are doing a great job of keeping everyone safe.

Always wanted to visit this winery - loved their red wine blends, and the location out in the foothills was intriguing. The winery is in a beautiful valley, somewhat remote - nice drive along 2 lane roads, followed by a mile or so along a rough dirt road. You even get to see Bison along the way. Really. The winery met expectation - reasonably priced tastings, and as with most wineries, you get to taste a lot more than what they advertise. Their outdoor covered is beautiful with lots of tables, overlooking a pond. Great views. That’s where we had problem number one - I guess they advertise the winery as family friendly, which sounds OK unless you have to deal with two mothers who brought four young kids along with all their toys. The kids ran wild, totally out of control and ignored by the parents. When the daughter pulled out a tambourine, that was the end for us - we politely asked the mother to have her stop, and were met with the “It’s a family friendly winery”. BS. It’s not a family room. You expect parents to have some control over their kids. And the winery does nothing about it, since a lot of their customers are locals. This pretty much ruined our experience. Problem number two - every winery I’ve visited, and that’s a lot of wineries, drops the tasting charge if you buy a few bottles which we did. Not this place. Overall, the winery is beautiful, great staff, and the wines are very good. It’s a great place to spend a summer afternoon on the patio, with a glass of fine wine and some snacks (you can bring your own food). I recommend taking the drive out there and hopefully you will not have to deal with uncontrolled kids.

Empire Mine State Historic Park, the site of California's oldest gold mine, offers visitors miles of scenic trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The park features the historic Bourn Cottage, a mine yard with a blacksmith shop, and extensive grounds to explore. As one of the most prosperous gold mines in history, it produced 5.8 million ounces of gold and played a significant role in Grass Valley's development.
Great place with lots of history. I've been coming to Grass Valley for years now and never knew about this place. Learned a lot by wandering around. Didn't get a guided tour in time, book early. Still enjoyed reading signs and listening to information.

Beautiful historic park that covers the h history of the empire mine on one side and the lovely property and grounds of the rich and famous. What struck me, is that the large 4000+sf house was the summer property of this family. Great escape from the heat and close to town to get ice creams before heading back down the hill.

This was our second time visiting this historic park. We were there during 4 July weekend, so there were a lot of visitors and the guided tours were booked luckily that the first time when we were there, we got the opportunity to enjoy the guided tour. There were a lot of free parking. The entrance fee is only five dollars. I like that the park is dog friendly. There were a lot of picnic tables. We brought foods and drinks, had a picnic and enjoyed the meals under the trees.

I recently visited a pumpkin farm and had such a wonderful time. The farm had huge pumpkins and an amazing variety of different kinds. There were also many little shops to explore, each with fun things to see. I really enjoyed walking through the pumpkin field and the sunflower field, which looked beautiful. One of the highlights was the train ride—it was so much fun to ride around the farm. There were also lots of different attractions that made the visit exciting. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The staff are kind and welcoming, and every moment here fills your heart with warmth and gratitude. 🍂☀️

Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm is hands down one of the best family fall destinations in Northern California! There’s truly something for everyone — from the giant pumpkin patch and sunflower fields to the petting zoo, hayrides, and train rides. The kids absolutely loved the corn maze and slides, and the adults enjoyed the fresh apple cider, kettle corn, and delicious pumpkin pie. The place is clean, well organized, and full of friendly staff who make everything run smoothly even on busy weekends. Parking is easy to navigate, and the layout makes it simple to explore without feeling crowded. Highly recommend coming early in the day, bringing a wagon, and staying for the evening lights — it feels like a little fall festival in every corner. 🍂 Can’t wait to come back next year!

omg amazing. went here with my partner and the corn maze was fun, the garlic fries were fire, the place was so nicely decorated, the apple cider slush w/ ice cream is to die for, but the crinkle cookies were just bad unfortunately :( that's the only negative thing. IF YOU GO YOU HAVEEEE TO SEE THE ALASKAN RACING PIGS OMG THAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY ALREADY AWESOME DAY

Love this place! You gotta try ALL the yummy desserts! They are so so good! If you're ok with crowds the weekend has so much great entertainment and shows, but know there are long lines for everything and parking is $20. If you go Monday-thursday it's free to park and there are no lines but there's also no entertainment or shows. Regardless, this is a must for the fall!

Recently went there on sunday. It was crazy busy. I didn’t expect to see that many people. Waiting line for every rides , attraction is insane. Not to forget food court /resturant line are very long. If you are planning to go there make sure you take tons pf water , coz water there is very expensive. I bought 2 bottle normal water for $8.47. They have many things to do especially for kids. All age kids can enjoy. Now , talking about money. There are few things to do which don’t require tickets. Otherwise tickets are needed for rides and attractions. Its fun to watch piggy race. Kids will enjoy them. REMEMBER, don’t buy too many tickets at once , because if you won’t be able to do all rides / attractions you will have tickets left and it is unrefundable , otherwise you can use it on your next visit if you are planning to do so. I have almost 25 tickets left . Now i have to go back again. I don’t mind going back again but its very costly. If you want to save money bring your own foods.you can bring anything.

The Holbrooke Hotel, established in 1851, is a historic landmark and the oldest continuously operated hotel in California's Mother Lode. Its mid-19th century architectural style and 27 period-style rooms exude charm and elegance, with features like globe chandeliers and claw foot bathtubs. The hotel has welcomed esteemed guests such as Mark Twain, Jack London, and five presidents.
Absolute favorite hotel and restaurant hands down! My husband planned an amazing surprise proposal with the help of the staff! We have always dined and stayed there, and recently had our post I do wedding party at their speak easy. Anthony was a joy to work with, and always had excellent communication! They made our evening so special. Our guests raved over the drinks and food!! Then this week we needed to pull off a last minute very special surprise. Once again Anthony was on it and he and his team made it such a wonderful day to remember! Whether you are going there for a meal or planning an event, you will not be disappointed

We came here for my wife’s birthday! We unfortunately did not get to meet any Victorian or early American ghosts. Dang. But regardless we had an amazing time! The place has such a modern yet historical charm. Everything from claw foot tubs to old elevators. And the restaurant and bar are incredible. Get the Brussels sprouts, what the chef does to them I don’t know but they were life changing.

This hotel is charming and has potential to be much better, but is limited by parking issues (no guarantee you can park on property as it’s open to the public and the public really uses it). The building has terribly thin walls (you will hear music from the streets, music and noise from the bar, and the other guests in their rooms - yeah that too 😩). They serve coffee and scones (the size of meatballs) at 7 which they say is included….the coffee is okay and there is half and half - a few bags of green tea, but no nut milks out. The staff is helpful and nice and the restaurant has good food! I would eat there again but, I don’t think I’ll stay in the hotel again. Their sister property, The National Exchange has a way better vibe, a wonderful terrace overlooking the street below….it’s in Nevada City and is on another level…w/ a luxurious lounge (lots of teas and nut milks and grownup sized muffins) with a terrace to enjoy your drinks or coffee overlooking the street (instead of sitting off the overcrowded parking lot in the back). I’ll definitely go back there again and again :)

It was our first time in Grass Valley, and the Holbrooke lived up to every expectation! The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated, and full of period charm — plus they were refreshed daily. The dining room and bar were beautiful and lively on Friday night, complete with live music! Kim and the entire staff were incredibly helpful and gave us great local recommendations. Augustina and Caitlin were also incredible hosts and truly elevated our dining experience with their warmth and attention to detail. The parking lot is conveniently located just behind the building, which made it easy to come and go during our river day trips. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were perfectly balanced. All in all, a 10/10 stay!

Stopped into the bar, because who doesn’t want to grab a whiskey pour at the oldest hotel in CA? Augustina poured us an amazing honey-apricot old fashioned cocktail. Nice and light for summer! Don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendation if you stop in.🥃

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holbrook Hotel! The location is perfect for exploring downtown Grass Valley on foot, with plenty of charming shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very clean, and the staff was warm and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. The Wi-Fi in the back unit wasn’t as fast as I expected, but it may be better in the main building. The small breakfast is a nice touch, though it would be great to have a non-dairy milk option for coffee and maybe some fruit to start the day. On the plus side, I really appreciated the complimentary bottled water, voucher for the bar, and enjoyed the tea selection. Overall, a lovely experience — I’ll definitely be back!

I've stayed at the Holbrooke twice: first time in February and this time in July. My experience in February was lovely, which is why I came back. My experience this time around was sadly not as enjoyable. The good stuff is that the rooms are lovely. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, and great AC. (Although I should note that the AC made a very loud, annoying humming noise for 30 seconds a couple times every hour...) We had a room with a balcony which was nice. The front desk staff is also super nice and accommodating. There is a parking lot in back and we had no trouble finding parking. The first time we were here, we were in the main house in a room at the end of a long hall. It felt pretty quiet and peaceful. This past time we were in a room at the top of the stairs, right by the elevator. If you walk down the stairs, you're in the bar. They start playing music in the lobby around 7am (quieter stuff) and don't stop until 10pm weekdays and close to midnight on weekends (louder music in the evenings). We were able to hear the boom boom of the bass all day, whenever we were in our rooms, and at night trying to fall asleep (we had to get up early so needed early nights). I was also disappointed with their hot breakfast, which they serve 9-11am. I got there at 10:30am, and there were three mini muffins left and maybe one spoon of egg scramble. I went across the street to the cafe and got coffee and a better muffin. I'd probably come back if I could get a quiet room again, but room 14 is tough if you like peace and quiet. Especially with our dogs, who could hear every person coming up the stairs. Oh, I also wish they would provide a bath mat, because the tub, though charming, can get quite slick and there are no handles.

I took my bird loving fiancé here as a surprise and we both loved it! The staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable and the property was beautiful. We took the owl class and got to hold 4 different owls on the day we went. It was so incredibly fun! I can’t recommend this place enough and we can’t wait to come back!

I came with my 11 yr old son and his best friend, who are both fascinated with birds of prey. It was an experience of a lifetime! They were in heaven! The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly, and the experience of being up close and personal was exceptional. We loved spending time with the birds and learned so much about the from the staff. After our experience was over, the boys just didn’t want to leave. We stayed for at least another hour, observing all the birds in the enclosures, asking tons of questions, and having a great time. I can’t recommend West Coast Falconry highly enough! I’m sure we will be back again in the future for another visit.

We did the Triple Raptor experience, and it was amazing! The birds are so cool, and we really enjoyed learning about the raptors from Kate and Sierra. Very highly recommended!

amazing experience! they provided a thorough, educational and safe way to interact with many different kinds of birds. All the guides were knowledgeable and passionate about this craft and shared lots of interesting tidbits about birds and birding history. Shout-out to Sierra, Heather and Tony!

This is an incredible experience. There's only about 25 locations in the US that have a license for public participation with birds of prey, so it's a treat to have this in our. They use red-tailed Hawks, the Hawks are funny. They have a personality, one hawk laughed at us because she didn't want to work that day.

Loved spending time with the hawks and meeting the falcons. The hosts are truly excellent. They made us feel welcome and comfortable in a completely new and intense experience. The birds are well taken care of, I appreciate seeing the level of stewardship that West Coast Falconry is maintaining. Looking forward to some owl time in the fall.

An amazing, one-of-a-kind experience. Even with the 2+ hour drive to get there from SF, and the considerable price tag, it was well worth it. They offer all kinds of experiences with the various types of raptors, and we opted for a private hawk walk (it's possible to choose 2 out of: hawks, falcons, and owls, and I reckon some would enjoy the variety, but we really wanted to focus on getting to know one bird and the hawk sounded like the most interactive one). After an extensive and informative introduction about the history of falconry, the types of birds they have, their habits and characteristics, we (my fiancee, the 2 falconers, and myself) went out to the wooded area behind the farm with a hawk named Mariposa. We learned the proper way to call her to our glove, and throughout the experience could more or less go where we wanted, call her, walk around with her for a bit, and then have her take off to perch as she pleased. There were also a few specific "tricks" we got to do with her and all kinds of photo ops, but to me the best part was probably just casually strolling around with a bird of prey on my arm. It's something my fiance had dreamt of doing since she was a kid, and she came out feeling her expectations had been more than met. We'd seen falconers at Renaissance Faires and such, but getting to actually interact with them is something different altogether. Something more people should definitely get to experience.

I recently participated in West Coast Falconry's Owl Encounter Experience. They are located just to the east of Marysville, CA. I actually learned about West Coast Falconry this past spring during our regional PBS Silent Auction in Northern California. West Coast Falconry participated in that event by providing an Owl Encounter. The Owl Encounter lasts for 90 minutes and is a wonderful experience. You are one of approximately 6-8 people who get to learn about owls and actually meet them. The handlers are extremely knowledgeable and provide important, but easy training for you to have selected owls fly to your gloved arm or sit on your gloved arm for a photo. During my session we were introduced to two Barn Owls, a Great Horned Owl, an Eastern Screech Owl, and a Western Screech Owl. It should not be surprising that these owls all have distinct personalities. It was delightful to see them, learn about them, and experience them all. My session, the first of the day, began at 9 am and I arrived about 15 minutes early so the gate into the property had not yet opened. My wait was under 10 minutes and the session began on time. It is clear that the staff know and deeply care for all of the owls. They answered every question that folks in my group asked during our session. All who participated had opportunities to get photos of the owls. This was a memorable experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Went to Feather Falls Casino for the first time last Saturday night. What a Fabulous surprise. So we parked and was met at the front door by super friendly staff, who held open the door for us, and as they did I was expecting 1 quite room with a few handfuls of machines. As I stepped inside I realized oh the parking lot was packed. It was hoping, there was a live band playing, the sound of machines paying out, and the size is secretly hidden from the outside view. We got our players card with no waiting in line. We had a great time, there are so many machines. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms were clean. A little hidden gem.

Had an absolutely stellar experience. The room was amazing, the food at the brewery was wonderful and the staff was more than friendly. I wasn't able to try any of the award winning beers sadly but I'll definitely be coming back.

We were attending a wedding on the feather river and had minimal time to ge t ready after the scheduled check in. The Lodge was able to get us an early check-in! This gave us 3 extra hours to get 3 ladies ready and off to the venue. The room smelled nice and was clean. The staff was professional and very nice. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Super helpful staff. They could use more towels at the pool but I didn’t ask. If I had I have no doubt they would have brought more. We ended up staying an extra nite and canceling our rooms at our next destination. My Traveling Ape, Akut liked the bed too.

I haven't stayed in the hotel but I have spent plenty of time in the casino. The thing that impressed me was the slot techs and table dealers were very friendly. They went out of there way to let you have fun. I know the attitude of employees really determines my choice where I spend my time and money.

The sashimi at the casino main restaurant is very fresh and just as good as i've had at high end suahi bars for a fraction of the price. The portions are very large on the 3 boat sizes they offer. The other food they serve is also very good.. I've never had a bad meal here. Always great!

The junior suite was very nice and the price was reasonable. Only minus for me were the pillows. Too high and bulky for me. I used a folded blanket instead. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location to downtown and fishing. Casino was nice and well lit. We had a great time.

The venue is visually impressive, but our experience was unfortunately disappointing. While waiting, we sat on some available couches. Shortly after, Hotel staff approached us and asked us to leave — with explanation this place for VIP and with no signs indicating that the area was reserved or off-limits. If the space is meant for VIP guests, that should be clearly marked. Everything appeared open to all visitors, and we weren’t violating any visible rules. The interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As for the slot machines — they look flashy and inviting, but the gameplay felt extremely tight. After trying several machines, we noticed that even minimal wins were rare, and there was no sense of fair play or excitement. It felt more like a one-way transaction than a game of chance. None a valuable bonuses. If you're hoping for a bit of fun or thrill, this may not be the place. Beautiful setting, but the overall experience lacked warmth, transparency, and hospitality.

The Safire restaurant is worth going to. It's on the 6th floor, take the elevator up, and it feels very removed from the rest of the gaming atmosphere. Reasonably priced meals and service was good. Casino is big and has other bars/restaurants. Drinks were not expensive. It's smoky but not overwhelming. My gaming experience was a lot of up and down so you get to play, just leave when you're up! If you get a jackpot or a machine requires an attendant for any reason, be prepared to wait. For a casino this size, I'd expect the pay out process to be a bit more efficient. Parking was plentiful and the gas is the best deal around so fill up while you're here.

Good food selection at the restaurants. Gift shop looks interesting from the outside, but haven't been inside yet. Rooms are spacious, a little basic but nice & comfortable & clean. Casino host is warm, welcoming, professional. Great promo gifts. GC has the most generous free play I have seen, which makes the visit worth the drive. Rather out of the way, but we stop & hit thrift stores.

The food at the restaurants are pretty good, but in terms of the casino, they treat their players like absolutely CRAP—especially loyal patrons. I’m a black card holder, the 2nd to last tier, and the way I was treated in my previous stay was utterly disrespectful and distasteful. I spend THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS here just to be treated like a nobody. They don’t respect their players, I do NOT recommend spending your time and hard earned money here—there are better options like feather falls and Hard Rock

This Casino is only 8 miles from my house and my lady and I love to go and enjoy breakfast and dinner there With an anniversary, birthday or that special date night to selibrate the occasion. The bar on the 6th floor is a classy place to take your lady to and enjoy each other's company. Good food and service is great and reasonably priced.

The smoke was sooo bad in here couldnt stay long our throats were hurting. Not good air filtration systems? Also the machines all were terrible we had a $100 each and just kept going down. Not a fun first impression. The acorn cafe was good but that’s about it. We had a great time at feather falls the weekend or so before I kept $20 going forever there and my husband actually won some.

Hiking Trails
Cinder Cone is an extinct volcanic peak located near Butte Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park. The challenging 4-mile hike to the crater rim offers stunning views of Mt. Lassen and the surrounding Painted Dunes. The trail takes about 3 hours to complete and leads through incredible lava beds before ascending the solidified lava mass of the volcano. The unique landscape resembles a moon-like environment, with slopes of uniform 35 degrees covered in small lava pebbles.
The hike was fantastic but definitely challenging due to the steep trail. However, the effort is absolutely worth it for the spectacular views from the top. I highly recommend this hike for anyone who loves hiking and is ready for a rewarding challenge!
Junhua C — Google review
Wow, this was quite different than. Any hike I've ever experienced. Seeing the cone after a bit of a sloped sandy path was indeed intimidating. There is no shade from trees after leaving the path to climb to the top. It was a very rough climb up with all the slippage. I didnt think I could make it, I took a lot of breaks and talked to some people on the way up. Our 14 year old had no issues, and soon was out of sight. The views of the Fantastic lava beds soon replaced by the view of Lassen. So beautiful. Then soon I was told I was almost there by some people coming down and smiling. I think people understand that this is a challenge to some. Just great to get to the top and really see the lava beds, the inside of the volcano, and to see snow peaked Lassen. Maybe it was like childbirth as I soon forgot how I considered giving up after a week of adventures. My husband said that once on top he forgot how hard it was to get up there. It was dusty and we had a lot of sand. The descent was super pleasant on the knees from that sand and rubble that made it so hard to climb.

A very interesting hike and climb. It's hot and exposed with a long washboard road to get there. Take lots of extra water with you.
Weston W — Google review
Short but yet intensive hike, make sure to grab plenty of water and wear closed shoes to protect your feet from sharp gravel. Also, it's worth mentioning that the road between Highway 44 and the trailhead is pretty rough. The view of the cone, the caldera, and the fantastic lava beds is gorgeous!
Ihor S — Google review
First of all, if you want to hike here, you'll have to be prepared to drive on half-paved rough gravel road for about 20 minutes. It's the only road leading to the Cinder Cone trailhead. I drove an SUV, which had enough ground clearance. But I would not recommend driving any car with low ground clearance here. It could potentially scratch the bottom of the car. It took around 20~25 minutes to get to the base of the cone from the trailhead. The ground is mostly ashes, so there's a lot of dust when walking on the trail. Hiking to the top of the cinder cone from the base was quite challenging since the slopes were just gravels and loose dirt. Again, lots of dust and my face and clothes were covered with dust very early on. In my opinion, this is a stenuous hiking. Most people took awhile to climb up the steep pathway because it's quite steep. The strong wind did not help. Many people used trekking poles since it would help with gaining more balance. This was something I wish I brought before hiking to Cinder Cone. Also, I would highly recommend mid-ankle hiking shoes since it's very easy to slip off while hiking up or down and you want to prevent sprained ankles. Once I hiked to the top, I got great views of the nearby mountains. It was well worth my time and effort. Highly recommend this place.
Ki P — Google review
The cone is really steep and everyone should be careful. You can see snowy mountain by far and the view is awesome.

Very steep hike. It's like hiking on sand. The views are amazing though. If you can make it i recommend

Cinder Cone is one of the most unique hikes in Lassen Volcanic! The trail across the painted dunes and lava beds feels otherworldly, and the steep climb up the cone is challenging but rewarding. Standing on the rim, you get an incredible 360° view of Lassen Peak, the colorful Painted Dunes, and the Fantastic Lava Beds—it’s truly spectacular. Hiking down into the crater is also an unforgettable experience. A bit strenuous, but absolutely worth it for the scenery and the sense of adventure.

Bumpass Hell is a fascinating hydrothermal area in Lassen Volcanic National Park, featuring a trail that leads hikers past mud pots, fumaroles, and boiling springs with stunning mountain views. The hike is relatively easy to moderate, covering a distance of 2.8 miles with an elevation gain of 511 feet. It's best enjoyed between late June/July and mid-October.
This is a moderately difficult hike. The trail is well-maintained and offers a unique experience of seeing active volcanic activity. I had visited Yellowstone before this hike, so it didn't have the same impact on me as it would on someone who had never seen anything like it. Anyway, this trail has to be on your bucket list while visiting Lassen Volcanic NP.
Ihor S — Google review
Reminds me of Yellowstone! So beautiful! Love the hike in and the hike back is great! We decided to run the way back and what a fun and quick way to end the hike! The purple flowered hill is beautiful with sweet surprises underneath the flower grove.

Bumpass Hell is a fantastic hike with good thermal activity. The hike is at high elevation so the trail usually doesn’t open until July (sometimes as late as August) and closes late October early November due to snow. Make sure to check the trail status before you leave if you really have your heart set on hiking Bumpass Hell. Otherwise there are other good trails in Lassen Volcanic National Park to hike.
Michael M — Google review
A Must-See Hike in Lassen Volcanic National Park! Bumpass Hell is a fantastic hike and one of the highlights of Lassen Volcanic National Park. The trail offers incredible geothermal features—bubbling mud pots, steaming vents, and vibrant colors that make it feel like you’re walking through another world. Keep in mind, the hike is at high elevation, so the trail is typically only open from July through late October, depending on snow conditions. Please inform yourself before traveling here. In some years, it might not open until August - based on the information provided by rangers. Be sure to check trail conditions before you go, especially if Bumpass Hell is a must-do on your list. National Park fee applies. Even if the trail happens to be closed, don’t worry—there are plenty of other great hikes throughout the park to explore. But if it’s open, this one is absolutely worth the trip! If you happened to be fluffy like me, take it slow and drink water. 😂

This has to be the most popular hike in Lassen Volcanic National Park by far. We got here around 3pm the Sunday of Labor Day weekend on our way out of the park after summiting Lassen Peak. There were cars parked along the road for almost a quarter mile, so we found a spot next to Helen lake on a slightly sketchy incline, and found a connector trail to the actual Bumpass trail. It was absolutely packed with people, with very few chances to pick up the pace. You have to ascend around 200 feet in a mile before you start seeing any thermal activity. Once there, the hot springs are well worth spending some time at. Constantly fuming geysers make for some great videos. There is a nice boardwalk going right through them. The smell of sulphur is omnipresent.
Vipul S — Google review
Very cool Yellowstone-like experience here, not too difficult of a trail to get here, but it is quite long. You get quite close to the volcanic pools and other formations, all of which are awesome and unique. The blend of volcanic activity and mountainous scenery is beautiful.
Yash P — Google review
In a word: otherworldly! Bubbly mud pots amid clouds of sulphur scented steam in clay colored landscape devoid of any plant life due to the boiling water. A must see natural attraction!

Lassen Peak, also known as Mount Lassen, is a 10,460 ft. mountain and active volcano offering a popular hike and climb to the summit. The area features the famous Bumpass Hell trail, showcasing Yellowstone-like volcanic landscapes with boiling mud baths, gas expelling fumaroles, and colorful rock formations.
Lassen Peak is the premier hike and the tallest peak of the park. The hike gains about 2000+ ft in 2.5 miles so that it can be challenging. The view from the top is breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Shasta almost 100 miles away. You can walk on the rim of the world's largest plug dome volcano. The trail is very well maintained with markers along the way for information (the pictures are from Sep 2024 for reference)

One of the best hikes I’ve ever done. The elevation was difficult but I had a great time. The skies were clear and the views were surreal. One of the best views of Mr. Shastha can been seen from this peak. The entire park can be observed at this elevation of over 10500ft. We took some amazing pictures in this picturesque spot and had a great time. Must try. The entire hike is 5 miles with 2.5 miles up at 1000ft / mile elevation.

I hiked Lassen Peak in July 2023 as a warm-up for Mt. Shasta. It's a 5-mile round trip with about 2,000 feet of elevation gain. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep in sections. When I hiked, there were still patches of snow. Overall, it was a solid hike with some nice views. Definitely worth checking out if you're around Lassen Volcanic National Park.

8/1/2025 Strenuous hike. Main trail leads to actual peak trail. Very busy. Best to start early sunny morning. Clouds will build in afternoon with possibilities of rain. Trail will get closed if thunderstorm at top.

I really enjoyed hiking to the top of Lassen Peak as it offers a lot of great views along the way and the signage throughout the hike is very informative! Although it was foggy, I really enjoyed it regardless! I recommend coming early as this hike will take up between 3-4 hours to finish!

Summiting Lassen Peak is exciting. It's a relatively moderate to strenuous hike with a relatively steady initial climb, a couple of switch-backs around 10,000ft and a final scramble to get to the summit! It's about 5 miles in total from the parking lot and back and around 2000ft in elevation gain. The views once you get up to the peak are certainly spectacular since the summit itself is at around 10,500ft, pretty high when compared to other nearby peaks. There are views of the valley and Bumpass hell as you climb. Recommend lots of water and electrolytes for the hike!
Abishek R — Google review
Climbing Lassen Peak is a nice, non-technical hike on a well maintained path. We did this in July and there were only a couple of very short patches of snow on the trail up, and the walkable snowfield at the top. There was no rock hopping until the 100-yd summit scramble up from the large level top area where most hikers stopped. The view from the top is very nice, and Shasta 70 miles away dominates the northern view. Parking was easy at the trailhead at 9am on a Friday, and the trail wasn't too crowded. We spent an hour at the summit and were down by 1pm.

I did this hike on 11/17/2019. Lassen Peak isn’t easy hike because a lot of elevation changes, Only a little over 5 miles RT. But it starts from 8,363 to 10,321 feet, each of the mile is almost 1,000 feet. Good workout.... trail is so nice, well maker, very detail,(thank to Lassen park). Spectacular ,panoramic, uninterrupted view....... Up only haft mile, I’m able to see 3 lakes,(Helen lake, Jupiter lake, and one more but I don’t know the name of this lake). Up one mile,I’m able to see Cinder Cone. Mile and a half up, I’m able to see Lava bed, And up to the top, I’m able to see Mount Shasta. On the way down,I’m able to see sunset in Lassen National Park. Love this trip a lot. I will come back to Lassen Volcanic for different hike.

Beautiful place in the winter! They have a parking lot right next to the visitors center which is about a mile up from the entrance to the park coming off 44. There were a few places to park on the side of the road, but there may be more when the snow is not piled up on the side. I have been here before and been able to walk on the lake when it is frozen, but do not do that unless it is verified it is safe! There were warning signs out saying thin ice. If you walk past the visitors center you cross a small bridge over the river which is a very beautiful spot to take a picture. Straight forward from the bridge is a small area where you can sled down a small hill in the snow so bring your saucers/ sleds in the winter time. Also from that hill you get a beautiful virw of Lassen co ered in snow. Close to the entrance you can pull to the side and get a good view of Lassen behind the lake

Beautiful lake trail. Take your time and appreciate the beauty. Serene and tranquil, you will only hear some birds and some distant waterfalls. Beautiful views of distant peaks. All snow covered even in late June. (Looks like they didn’t get the memo that summer started) Many opportunities for photography, especially landscape and macro. There were some people kayaking. Overall, a wonderful walk to remember.
