Sandy Valley Ranch offers an authentic Old West experience, with activities like horseback riding, cattle work, rodeo events, charreria, and even hosting weddings. The ranch provides various accommodation options including wagons, teepees, and tiny houses. Guests can also enjoy strolls around the property to observe the animals. The staff is known for being friendly and helpful in arranging activities such as horseback riding or meal reservations.
Oh my gosh. This place was the perfect way to get away from the city. We fell in love with everything, from the tiny house to all the animals, including Roxie and his doggy friend, the cute pigs, cows, chickens, and all of the horses. It was a very special experience. Shout out to Santiago for being the best rancher and taking us out for a ride with Paulo and Paulina! Sandy and Rob are one of the most welcoming hosts we have ever had. We got a once in a lifetime experience here. Thank you so much, Sandy Valley Ranch ❤️

What an adventure. Our guides Louise and Frosty were fantastic. They took their time with each rider building confidence in each and every one. Making the journey comfortable and just amazing. The property is very well maintained proving the love that goes into it. It was like traveling through time when it was just you and your horse and the desert. Simply amazing! So glad we found this place.

It was such a wonderful ranch! Since it was a tent in the summer, I was a bit worried, but the air conditioning worked perfectly and I was able to fully enjoy the Nevada wilderness together with the friendly dogs and horses. Horseback riding was a lot of fun, and my instructor, Sean, was very kind. I also loved experiencing breathtaking scenery that you can’t see in Japan and spending time with the horses. I’m already looking forward to coming back to US.

Came here for a wedding for one of my close friends. It's about an hour outside of Las Vegas so be prepared for a drive when you turn off of the I 15. The road cuts down to a two way windy not very well maintained bumpy road, so be prepared for that. It was very easy to find and there were lots of signs. Once you drive in to the property there is a very large space for parking. The working ranch is in the back and they have the main building for events in the front. They have very cute and different accommodations including a real teepee, a tiny house, a covered wagon, and an airstream in various different places on the property. You can have the food made there but don't expect 5 star meals. The vibe is super rustic and is great for boho or cowboy themed parties and or weddings. The packages are super affordable. They have horses and the bride actually rode in and made an entrance on a horse. The Ranch was super cozy and intimate but could host larger weddings as well. Super cute place not that far from Vegas and extremely affordable.

We stayed in the Peacock Tiny House It was the perfect escape from Las Vegas. We could see the milky way from the roof top deck, saw a shooting star ever night. I did the 3 hour horseback ride also which was spectacular. We saw coyote, wild donkey, rabbits, and jack rabbits.
Chrissy M — Google review
A really good horseback riding experience! Frosty was our tour guide and he was great. He judged our skill level and let us gallop and trot the horses. Would definitely recommend and come again!
Kristin D — Google review
By far the Best horseback riding experience! Guides were knowledgeable and horses were perfectly paired with riders skill levels! Our guide Frosty was an amazing photographer as well! --- even got pictures while we were cantering!! We will definitely be back!

Pioneer Saloon

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Historic saloon turned Hollywood set offering brews, cocktails & American bites with a Texas twist.
My son had told me about this cozy little spot in Goodsprings, so we decided to head up to the town to visit Pioneer Saloon. It's been featured in many entertainment venues, including the Fallout video game series and more. The drive from Las Vegas took about 35 to 40 minutes, and there was plenty of parking. When we arrived, a crowd of people was in the back enjoying live music, but we opted to sit inside this trip. We savored the memorabilia on the walls, especially in the Fallout-dedicated area. We'd heard amazing things about the food, and we can finally say it lived up to the hype: the two burgers, fries, and drinks were phenomenal. We can't wait to come back, and maybe next time during dinner, as our waitress mentioned that at night you can see all the stars. We're looking forward to our next journey.

The Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, Nevada (10 minutes west of Primm) is a hidden gem. The Pioneer was established in 1913 and is the oldest saloon in Clark County, Nevada — about 30 minutes south of Las Vegas on I-15. The Pioneer is a truly authentic Western saloon with its Old West vibe and Western friendliness. They serve up a variety of hamburgers and similar fare. In 1942, Hollywood star Carole Lombard (see the film “Gable & Lombard”) and others were killed in an air crash nearby. Lombard’s husband, Clark Gable, raced from Hollywood and stayed, waiting at the Pioneer Saloon bar. Ask to see the burn marks in the vintage wooden bar where a distraught Clark Gable waited anxiously for word on the fate of his wife. So the Pioneer Saloon has an amazing history and has been preserved in all its authentic vintage glory. Don’t be shocked to see patrons with a sidearm on their hip. I promise you, it ain’t for show. The game, “Fallout: New Vegas” was based at the Pioneer Saloon. Co-owner “Old Man Liver” is a fun, fascinating, engaging and successful businessman — not deserving of the term “Old.” The Pioneer recently upgraded the kitchen, so service is much more prompt that just a few months ago. And don’t miss the General Store next door, full of Las Vegas Voodoo good luck charms and trinkets.

Goodsprings AZ is right out of the old West. The Saloon is the Harvest Host location, however allowing some time to walk around the town and see the sights is well worth it. Things are pretty laid back at the Saloon. You may have to wait a bit but there is plenty of ambiance to occupy your time. If you catch the right day there may even be a band playing out back. They have a great, full bar selection with a number of beers on tap. The food menu offers a reasonable amount of choice. The meals are a good size and very tasty. Things are geared for efficiency. All drinks are served in disposable cups and all meals are served in take-away boxes.
Dave J — Google review
Pioneer Saloon, open since 1913, is the oldest bar in Southern Nevada and one of the coolest stops you can make outside of Vegas. Don’t let the bikes out front scare you off, it’s not a biker bar cliché, it’s a mixed crowd of locals, tourists, characters, and curious newcomers. They’ve got a killer whiskey selection (bring your wallet), and the bartenders are awesome, friendly, fast, and generous with the pours. Outside, you’ll find plenty of seating and live music, so if that’s your vibe, plan to post up… but show up early, because this place gets packed. The food is a little pricey, but you’re really paying for the experience. Two burgers, fries, and a couple beers ran about $50—not bad when you factor in the history and ambience. Bottom line? Cool location, cool people, cool experience. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
Jesse C — Google review
The old man liver burger was very good even though I was over charged. Baked beans were also good but for a very small cup they were not worth the extra $3. Lots of history and a really cool old bar.
Craig J — Google review
Goodsprings is exactly how Fallout NV made it out to be: warm, welcoming, a desert oasis. It was a childhood dream to visit Goodsprings one day, and I couldn’t have been more warmly welcomed by Tim & Dan. It makes me so happy that a video game developed more than a decade ago still has such a vibrant community and livened up a little village out in the Nevada desert. I‘ll never forget this experience and am super grateful for it. We went for lunch and returned in the evening for the halloween party for one of the most unique experiences we‘ve had so far.. unfortunately, I missed the Fallout event (in 2 weeks from this review‘s date) ): Thank you, Goodsprings!
Sanjay K — Google review
Fallout Fans know how precious this place is, but until you visit you really dont know. The owner is so sweet and into the creating the vibes that draws Vault Dwellers from all over. Best time having a drink where I fought the Powder Gangers!
Tamantha R — Google review
Where history isn’t framed it’s still breathing. A saloon that feels like a film set, only real. Cold drinks, warm welcome, and a side of legends written into the walls.. 🌎📍✈️ A must for anyone who collects memories, not souvenirs!

Factory Outlets
The outlet mall of Las Vegas South Premium Outlets has a wide variety of clothing, accessories, and gifts stores. Located just south of Mandalay Bay, this mall is great for shoppers looking to find discounts on popular brands. There are plenty of restaurants and quick-service options available to take a break or grab a snack throughout the center.
It was a great experience..really a cool place with lots of outlets majorly with beauty products of ladies as well as attractive branded jewellery items. There were other branded outlets too but we were is a bit of a hurry so haven't explored the remaining ones. But if you are in Vegas then this is a must place to visit to buy branded items where you can find some amazing offers
Abid D — Google review
I went in for a quick stop so I didn't get a chance to actually explore the mall well. I only spent an hour and most of it was in the small food court. It's full of really nice stores so you can really have a great time shop. A few of the stores I really wanted to visit were not at this mall at all. The information desk clerk was really help.
Glimmers G — Google review
Las Vegas South Premium Outlets is a shopper’s paradise with a wide variety of brand-name stores offering great discounts. The layout is easy to navigate, and the mall stays clean and comfortable, even on busy days. There’s a good mix of fashion, accessories, and dining options, making it a convenient and enjoyable spot for bargain hunting and casual shopping alike.
Manikandan — Google review
Visited the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets during my first trip—great spot for some retail therapy! Tons of brand stores with solid deals, clean layout, and easy to navigate. Picked up a few good finds and grabbed a quick bite after shopping. Definitely worth the stop! The brands here budget friendly, not bougie type. I guess that's North Mall if you are interested!
Mohammad I — Google review
Las Vegas has two Premium Outlets malls. This one is on the south side of Las Vegas Blvd near the airport. This is one of the advantages of this outlet mall. I also like that it is an indoor outlet. I wish there were more name brands here. Most of the luxury brands and stores are located at another Premium Outlets in the north, near downtown. However, this outlet mall is my go-to place before the flight. The mall is nice and clean with good restaurants too. Indoor air conditioning in shopping malls is excellent, especially in the summer or on rainy days.
Michael W — Google review
It's the best outlet mall in Vegas. With the 100-degree weather at all times, this is a good place to shop. Not many shops here, but you can enjoy additional discounts during the holidays.
Alice P — Google review
This is a clean, well-visited outlet mall. It has a large variety of stores and places to eat. Impressive!
Kristen M — Google review
Las Vegas Premium Outlets South is an absolute gem for anyone who loves quality brands at great prices. The outlet is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, which makes the entire shopping experience surprisingly relaxed—even on busy days. There’s an excellent mix of stores, from athletic wear and designer labels to home goods and specialty shops. Sales are frequent and genuinely worthwhile, and the staff at most stores are friendly and helpful without being pushy. Parking is plentiful, and the location is convenient whether you’re staying on the Strip or passing through the area. The outdoor layout is pleasant, with plenty of shaded spots to take a break, and the food options offer a nice variety when you need to recharge. Overall, Las Vegas Premium Outlets South delivers exactly what you want in an outlet center: great deals, great selection, and a smooth shopping experience. Highly recommended!

Seven Magic Mountains

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Seven Magic Mountains is a desert art installation showcasing seven painted boulder totems that reach up to 35 feet in height, created by Ugo Rondinone. It provides a unique opportunity to witness the magnificent colored rocks, which cannot be fully appreciated through photos alone. The site includes facilities such as portable toilets and food trucks, and the parking lot is large enough to accommodate a considerable number of visitors. While the parking lot is unpaved, parking is relatively easy.
The Seven Magic Mountains is a stunning and colorful art installation just outside Las Vegas, and it’s absolutely worth a visit. The towering neon-painted boulders standing tall against the desert backdrop create a striking and surreal sight. It’s free to visit, easy to access from the highway, and makes for amazing photos—especially around sunrise or sunset when the colors pop even more. The installation feels both playful and peaceful, blending modern art with the natural desert landscape. Parking is available, though it can get crowded at peak times, so going early is best. While there isn’t much shade or amenities on-site, the experience of seeing the massive stacked rocks up close is unforgettable. Overall, it’s a quick but memorable stop—a perfect mix of art, nature, and creativity that captures the spirit of Las Vegas beyond the Strip. Get those poses ready!!!
E. P — Google review
A great spot for photos and videos! “Seven Magic Mountains” is a free public art installation by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, located in the Ivanpah Valley desert about 10 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s easy to find, parking is simple, and entry is free. We visited from Florida while staying on the Strip — definitely worth the short drive for the colorful desert views and unique photo opportunities.
Carolina M — Google review
✨ Only those with an artistic heart can truly appreciate such beauty- seven magical, colorful stones standing tall amidst a silent desert, surrounded by mountains. It’s mesmerizing to witness art blend with nature’s calm. Loved capturing every moment in this vivid oasis of color and serenity. 🎨🌈🏜️ 💡 Tip: If you’re going by Uber, ask your driver to wait for your return pickup. It might save you from paying extra for another ride later- most drivers are happy to wait for a small charge while you enjoy your time there. 🚗
Laheri K — Google review
Awesome spot in the middle of nowhere! But there was an ice cream truck there and you had to walk from the parking to the area! A lot of people Taking pics and videos but cool to see. There’s no sidewalk so it’s a dirt trail so make sure you’re wearing walking shoes..
UndyingPanda B — Google review
Seven Magic Mountains, Ugo Rondinone's monumental art installation, is an absolutely stunning sight and a perfect, free detour from the Las Vegas Strip. Also the entry is FREE!! The experience is defined by the stark, beautiful contrast between the vivid, neon-painted stacks of boulders and the vast, untamed landscape of the Mojave Desert. The real star of the show isn't just the colorful rocks, but the immense natural beauty surrounding them. Looking out, the desert area looks amazing with rolling hills and a large, flat plain area that stretches for miles, offering unobstructed views of the distant mountain ranges. The entire setting is breathtaking and incredibly photogenic, making the drive completely worth it. It’s a powerful visual statement that brings together human creativity and the sublime quietness of the natural world, resulting in a truly beautiful view.
Yash P — Google review
Such a neat place to visit. It’s definitely worth a visit if you have time to check it out. They were actually taller than I had imagined in person. It’s free and there wasn’t too many people. I would definitely love to come back soon.
Shay B — Google review
Cool place to stop by, check out, and snap some photos. When I went, it was pretty crowded, so it was a bit tough to get good pictures with all the people around.
NAVi A — Google review
It makes sense to visit this art installation in person and read the artist's statements. The sculptures are very remote from freeway exits on a road parallel to the freeway. The effect is best facing the installation with the beautiful mountains of the Mojave in the background.

Whiskey Pete's is a casino hotel with basic rooms and an outdoor pool, as well as casual chain restaurants. Visitors can enjoy a truck stop with a clean store, friendly staff, and plenty of souvenirs. The area around the hotel offers various dining options and shops to explore. However, some guests feel that the casino could use some updates and improvements to make it more inviting. Suggestions include adding newer games, expanding the gaming area, and providing self-serve drink options.
Whiskey Pete's Casino was an unexpected highlight on my drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. I stopped by chance because I needed a restroom break. On my way back to the car, I decided to test my luck and played for about half an hour. To my amazement, I hit a $1,000 jackpot! I was absolutely thrilled! Now, every time I drive back from Vegas, I make sure to stop by, and I’ve never lost my money! It’s quiet and very peaceful, which is something I really appreciate. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I love this place, and it’s become my favorite stop on the way home. Highly recommended!

As a nostalgic and casino fan this is a nice place. Love the casino and it's okay for a one night stay.. in the middle of the dessert, i love places like this..
Paul B — Google review
Overall, a great place to stay for an overnight break. The main reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the casino is closed due to financial restructuring. Hopefully, it will reopen in the next year or two! Showers are decent in the truck stop, bathrooms are fairly clean…not bad for a truck stop. Not going to complain about the prices in the store for food and other stuff….its close to Vegas, what do you expect?!? Hopefully, they will keep the truck stop open during restructuring…it’s the last decent stop on the way into California until you hit Barstow!!!
Brad K — Google review
All locked up, so I couldn't get registered and checked in to get the key to my room. Slept in my car in the parking lot, but I slept well because I have leather seats and reclining seats. No breakfast options because I tried all the doors but they were still locked up the next day as well. So I ate one of my energy bars normally reserved for traveling. The only movement I ever saw on the entire property was som e tumbleweed rolling across the parking lot, which at first I thought was a pack of javelinas, with a hard J. I ran screaming back to my car before the tumbleweeds could attack me. My car has power locks so I was safe from these beasts! Will definitely come back again! Until next time. Thank you.
K B — Google review
$60 rooms sounded appealing but $39 for resort fee and the same for tax. You’re ripping off your guests and they aren’t returning. I won’t return.
Brad L — Google review
Only gave it a one star since it's no longer in business. But there is a casino across the way that's is owned by people who owned whiskey Pete's. A lot like whiskey Pete's just a few more up to date games and building. Still the same vibe though.

Great last place to stop and check your rig before running into Commiefornia. Not very quiet when every Billy big rig comes through all night long with straight pipes and running the jakes in the parking lot

Stayed one night, August 8. Nice, clean room and beautiful property. Beds and linens were soft and comfortable. The mountain/desert views to the south were stunning. The pool, even on a Friday was pleasant and kid friendly. The property is far away from much of anything. This is a place you go to get away from it all. Gaming floor was large and lots of empty seats even for a Friday night and reasonable minimums. Great stay and great place to stay.

Nice place to stay out of town away from the Vegas craziness. Overall vibe is very relaxed and surprisingly quiet. We didn't gamble so I can't comment on the casino. Easy to get in/out and plenty of close parking. The room was large with a nice mountain view. Room was clean, bed was comfy, though the room did look a bit worn/well-used, and there was some mold in the shower. There wasn't a microwave - we missed that - there was a small fridge. All the staff was very pleasant. Lots of amenities around - cafes, restaurants, spa, pool, etc. Food was just OK, not great, reasonably priced, so was worth it for the convenience a few times, but if you're looking for great dining, I'd look elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again for any off-the-strip activities.

We have stayed at the M Resort for the last 16 years. Needless to say we are very happy here. Number 1 on our list is Cathleen Regalado, our host. She is over the top in helping us out. I wish we could come more often to see her. Next is Roxanne R, our on floor cocktail waitress. Even though we only see her once or twice a year, she is jolly on the spot and always remembers us by name. She always puts our name with a smiley face on our coffee cup. She is very delightful and energetic. If we don't see her first, she'll find us. Next is Eduardo at Anthony's steak house and his assistant who fills our water glasses and helps out. Very delightful to chat with and they remember us too. There are others who are very nice. The check-in staff are pleasant too. Everyone working there is nice. Only downfall are the customers who pound on the slot machine thinking it will help. Annoying but gives us a chuckle watching them. Thanks again and see you next year. Hope to stay in new addition. Need new mattresses in original hotel. Dennis and Mary C

Vashth was great upon checkin. Very friendly & professional. Room was clean & well stocked w/towels, water. Each time we visit, we always go to babycakes to partake of the wonderful pastries-always a hit! The staff was friendly & accomodating! We actually ate at the Raiders tavern & grill- food as well as service was great! No complaints. We always enjoy staying at the M! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

On Veterans Day, I decided to stay at the resort somehow or another. I dropped the keys to my house out in the west parking lot. I remember putting them in a bag of mine and zipping it up, but somehow they must’ve fell out and they were found by security. I can truly say job well done, and I greatly appreciate the time and effort of the person who turned the keys in to lost and found. 🙏🏻 The resort itself is a wonderful, quiet destination, great location, always clean, never smell smoke, and enjoy my time very much. Enjoy my stay every time I come to visit. Thank you again

I'm not really sure how this place gets away with charging a $40 resort fee, specifically on comp room offers and to locals but overall in general. It's incredibly far from the strip and I have absolutely zero motivation to pay $120 on a "comp". I would love to stay there on a staycation but that's just a slap in the face considering my resort fees are waved everywhere else on comps. It's a nice hotel but just sticks it to patrons with greed and it's almost never busy. I will visit much more sparingly in the future. Do better.

A first time Guest at this off the strip Hotel Resort but I am Totally Loving this place not just for its Beautiful Property (go check out the Awesome Pool area with a HUGE Tv screen for Sports) but also for its calm, relaxed atmosphere and the Wonderful, Wonderful Customer Service from All of the Staff here! From our Positive Dinner Experience at the Italian restaurant (ask for Jack, he’ll take care of you) to Brian at the Casino Guest Services area as well as the Wonderful Staff at the Vig Deli who are so Friendly, Interactive, and just Good, down to earth Human Beings! No craziness over here like the Vegas Strip—instead, just Enjoyment (Peace & Relaxation); Positive Vibes provided by the Wonderful Staff; and very Delicious Food Options at good prices that are all freshly made daily onsiteI I even Enjoyed exercising/ walking around the property where every staff member greeted me and engaged me in conversation and with a friendly smile! Thank you M Resorts for making our stay so Positive; we Enjoy your L'Auberge Casino property in Lake Charles and this location definitely Lives up to your High Standards of Customer Service! 👍🏽

Desperado is a thrilling roller coaster, known for being one of the fastest and tallest in North America. Soaring over 200 feet above the desert floor, it offers an exhilarating experience with its pulse-stopping drops. While some hope for its restoration to former glory, others reminisce about enjoying the ride and nearby attractions like an ice cream shop. Its fans rave about the unexpected 225-foot drop at the start and express their love for this fantastic roller coaster.
It's sad to see this legend Standing But Not Operating but, I hope it'll reopen soon because this is on my bucket list of coasters I've ridden. But when it reopens I will re-revieuw this coaster.

I don't think I'll be making a return trip to this establishment anytime soon. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this visit wouldn't be as enjoyable as we had hoped. The roller coaster, a potential highlight of the visit, was disappointingly closed, robbing us of one of the main attractions. Upon entering the casino, we were met with a sense of dismay as we noticed the lack of cleanliness. The atmosphere was far from inviting, with unkempt areas and an overall feeling of neglect. Furthermore, the limited variety of games left much to be desired, failing to cater to a diverse range of preferences. Even our meal at Dennys, a reliable choice for many, fell short of expectations. The food quality was subpar, and the service left much to be desired. It's disheartening to have such a negative experience, especially considering the friendly demeanor of the staff. The overall experience was marred by various shortcomings. Despite the best efforts of the staff, the establishment falls short of providing a satisfactory experience, making it a place I wouldn't recommend revisiting.

If you are coming for the coaster don't. Apparently it's been closed for 2 years so a waste of your time if that's what you're coming for. Wish that would have been more apparent on their website before we wasted our time

Desperado is still closed. Likely not to open again. What a bummer.

Buffalo Bill's on the Primm Valley Casino Resorts website says attractions, such as the Desperado rollercoaster, are still closed until further notice. But then I heard in the coaster enthusiast community that it's permanently closed. I've never gotten the chance to ride Desperado before, and now I never will.

Used to come here with my cousins on the weekends. Since then I've moved from Vegas I haven't been there in roughly a year. I really hope that one day they can restore it to it's former glory. Loved the place and the ice cream shop was delicious

Buffalo Bill's Resort & Casino

Resort hotel
Water & Amusement Parks
Buffalo Bill's Resort & Casino is a laid-back accommodation option that provides complimentary Wi-Fi and parking. The resort features various dining choices, an outdoor pool, and a casino for entertainment. Guests have praised the friendly staff and newly renovated rooms, which offer good value compared to those on the Vegas strip. While some amenities may be lacking in certain rooms, overall cleanliness and comfort are highlighted as positives by visitors. Additionally, the surrounding area offers convenience with nearby fast food options and a gas station.
A massive building raising the question of how it was built. Didn't stay in a room, but stayed across 15 at Whiskey Pete's for our honeymoon night in 2004. Went back to look around here in 2025. Pete's is closed and blocked. We gambled at what's left of Buffalo Bill's, a once booming resort as well as Pete's. Bill's at one time had the roller coaster, tram across 15 and other unique attractions that have gone to the nether zone. Worth a 30 minute drive from Las Vegas, almost to the California border to imagine what this had to offer.

The room was not very clean. Carpet wasnt vacummed, pubic hair on shower floor, poop marks in toilet. Only one wash cloth in a two queen room. Sheets were clean and both beds made, so at least theres that. My wife joked not to breakout a black light (we dont have one). Air conditioning worked good all night. No dead bugs so thats why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Bottom line would I stay here again? Well at check in the charge was $93, whereby I was informed 50 of that was a security deposit and would be refunded. So the room was 40 something bucks. Not bad cost on a last minute saturday night reservation. We chose here cuz most the rooms on the strip were around $200. Not sure I would stay again, but it worked out cost wise for a spur of moment trip a day early to Vegas. Now we are off to Mandalay Bay for rest of trip. Just close your eyes or get drunk enough that you dont care. Good luck!

The ONLY positive thing was the front desk staff were nice. That’s about it. I don’t think I’ve honestly stayed in this awful of a hotel room before. The bathroom has a leaky shower, there is definitely hair still in the shower it’s nasty. The fan in there is broken so when you turn the light on it makes this horribly loud buzzing sound. Plus the ac thing is literally falling out of the ceiling. Next to that is a big bubble in the ceiling so who knows what kind of mold is there. Also door handle to the bathroom? Yea no that’s also broken in half! Legit no handle! Room was as bare as it could be including wires hanging from the wall where the fire alarm should be so if a fire happens your the last to know… uncomfortable beds and overall just gross.
Brittney B — Google review
I believe it's been closed and only reopened for the Keith Sweat concert that was going on... I wasn't there for the concert and while the concert crowd was lively, the hotel itself should close and never reopen again unless it is completely and totally remodeled.. While waiting to check in multiple people were at the front desk complaining of non working tvs, several people were booked to the SAME room as someone else... non working old air conditioners... check and it took forever...it was completely disorganized.. It's OUTDATED.. rooms are horrible.. There was some weird stain on the dresser top.. We had ONE face towel for our 2 person room. Tried to use the phone to call housekeeping directly and it didn't work.. Called the front desk and she said they'd be right up but they NEVER came .. The "casino " was more like a morgue... We were off-roading and just needed rooms for one night so I guess at $50 you get what you pay for which was less than the bare minimum... Hopefully they will remodel and give the place a major face lift otherwise they should never reopen.

Traveling for work and had a 44' Fifth Wheel in tow. Decided to book a room because of the intense heat and they offered truck parking. Check in was simple, desk worker was pleasant but not chatty. We was assigned a room (1408A), confirmed where to best park the truck/unit and headed to our room. When we turned the AC on it was rather loud but was blowing cold air. We both got cleaned up and headed downstairs for dinner. Once we returned from dinner the AC seemed to be having difficulty breathing and not blowing cold any longer. I tried calling the front desk but after several minutes on an automated hold went back to the front desk. The same desk worker assigned us another room, no real concern of the non working AC in the current room. We went back to 1408A to gather our things to go across the hall to 1409A. The AC was turned on while we moved things across the hall, about an hour later we called it a night. A few hours later, around 11 pm the room was warm and not was not cycling on. This time my husband went to the front desk, as I was overly tired and extremely irritated. A gentleman working thr front desk offered to send the engineer (maintenance) or move us rooms again. This time, we was given a room on the 1st floor, so we packed everything up again and moved. The pillows in the final room were awful compared to the prior rooms, bed was comfy enough but most importantly the AC operated as expected until we left at 6 am. The casino was pretty empty, only a few people playing on the machines. I did not see any live tables but I wasn't there to gamble. A lot of the attractions that once made this resort shine are closed, hidden behind dust and despair. I wish I could have experienced this place in its prime. Only photo I took was of Desperado All in all, I would stay here again (but request a first floor room) simply because of the commercial parking lot.
Elizabeth K — Google review
I'm honestly surprised this place is still open. There were not many people staying here on a Friday night. The facility upkeep has not been maintained and many of the "resort" amenities were not in service. Pool was closed because of high winds. It doesn't look like the roller coaster has worked in some time. The indoor river that is supposed to flow through the casino was dry. Almost all of the little food options by the Bonnie &Clyde area were shut down (it was 8pm on a Friday night). Entire casino and hotel smells like smoke. Don't go here unless it's your only option.
Jeff L — Google review
If I could give this less than one star I would. If you are here at any point during the week nothing is open. The casino is a depressing shell of what it once was. There was practically no services whatsoever, and at one point we couldn’t even tell if anyone was actually working there. The hotel room had weird stains on the wall and was super dusty. It was pretty clear it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The only plus side I guess was that it was quiet. It honestly feels like they are just trying to squeeze every last bit of money that they can before they close it for good. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, even if I hated them.

Casino was a ghost town. Sat down to order a cocktail, 5 minutes go by without service, we departed very disappointed. Not worth stopping at State Line after 30 years.

Primm Mall

Shopping
Primm Mall, once known as the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, is a unique shopping center that has seen better days. While it now features only one remaining shop, the mall still offers an intriguing experience for visitors. The expansive space showcases stunning artwork throughout its deserted halls, making it a perfect spot for an art crawl. Although the vibrant atmosphere of years past has faded, exploring this nearly empty mall can be quite captivating.
I can't believe that this mall is actually dead! I remember, back in the summer of 2013 until around 2015, this mall was alive and full of people. Stores were open, people walking around, and the food court was bright and lovingly happy. I was with my parents when we noticed the interior is completely empty. We remember it and how it was a nightmare it was because my dad used to work with someone at this location. It was HORRIBLE! But I am giving it a five-star rating to remind myself that this place brings back memories, both good and bad. And for any of you who are big fans of the backrooms, this is the spot!
Manny M — Google review
The place says it's open, google says they are open, well after a 1 hour drive, I found out that this place was "temporarily" closed. This is the most dead mall or should I say area I have ever seen in my life. I still do not understand how some stores/buildings are even open! Its too bad they cut off that mall section, I would have loved to just take a look around. What a waste of time, unfortunately!
Dylan ( — Google review
I've encountered a few dying malls in the past few years (casualties of COVID and shoppers moving to online purchasing) but this mall is completely dead. There is literally a single store (Sanithrift, a thrift store) still open, to include a completely vacant food court. The store faces are now used to display art, which is good but not worth a stop.
Charlie B — Google review
Highly recommend to visit! You will see amazing artwork there! I cannnot believe there is only one clothes shop left here.
R T — Google review
I dont know how to rate this place, it used to be so full and vibrant and was an amazing stop on the side of the road.. now it is still and empty. Michael kors and a Thrift shop are still open inside of the mall at this time, but that is it. Bathrooms are still functional, and clean.
Sunny M — Google review
** Really fun walk if you have time to burn at the supercharger! ** Model example of physical depression. Honestly such a cool space! Walking through was a lot of fun but for very different reasons than the owners would like. This is the legal way to walk through an abandoned building! 😂 the art made it feel doubly so. I counted 7 stores “open”. In quotation because none of them were actually open and a few looked like they haven’t been open in a while. This place is just begging to be a ‘con of some kind. Comic-Con, anime-con I don’t know but something! It would be a great layout and no stores to get in the way. I plan on watching to see when the building is closed for good. Too bad.
Evan M — Google review
This mall is very empty since covid affected its business. I thought it was cool walking through the mall as it gives off a vibe of being in a deserted city. There are maybe 5 or more retail shops here? I didn't count them. I enjoyed taking photos of this place.
Annette G — Google review
Almost no shops are open, no decent food to eat. It's like a ghost town... UPDATE; I was here a couple days ago, at 11:30 AM, June 6, 2024. The doors are open, the lights are on. There are NO shops open. There were NO people in the building, except 2 young women who were amazed by the emptiness of the place. The mall is nice and clean, including the newly renovated bathrooms. It seems the owner can afford to keep this place open only because he charges $1,50 per gallon more for gas than it costs 25 miles up the road.

Lion Habitat Ranch inc, located in Henderson, NV, is a popular sanctuary for lions and giraffes. The mission of the sanctuary is to protect the wild lion community and raise awareness about their social nature. Visitors can take guided tours and participate in feeding activities while strolling around the paved path to observe the giant cat families napping, playing, and lounging in their habitats. With 40 lions on an 8.
This was such a nice place to visit! The animals were well taken care of and it was clean. We saw lions, a tortoise, and birds. We actually saw a lion Nelson actually play with a cardboard box. Amazing just like our house cats love boxes!! But volunteer Jim was amazing and filled with so much information from the eggs of an emu to ostrich and we were able to touch and feel the difference of textures of the eggs. He also had a bag of tricks we saw and felt a lions whiskers to touching the texture of a lions main. So much more. They have plenty of shade and seating. It's a smaller place, but we would definitely recommend it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a great time at the Lion Habitat in Las Vegas, NV! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. There was no wait to get in, which made the experience even better. It’s perfect for families — my son absolutely loved seeing the lions up close and learning about their care. You can stop by for a quick visit or easily spend a couple of hours exploring and watching the animals. It’s a fun, educational, and memorable activity for all ages. Highly recommend adding this stop to your Vegas trip! 🦁💛

We love the lion habitat! I took my 1.5 and 3.5 year old and we had such a great time. You could tell the staff really wanted everyone to have a great time, and Jim was especially wonderful, teaching my girls new things and making sure we didn't miss a chance to watch a feeding or enrichment session. You get so close to the beautiful animals, and my kids especially loved Ringo the parrot who said "Hi". We will be back again soon. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a great place to visit!

Absolutely phenomenal! The animals, keepers, and volunteers were amazing! Huge shoutout to how funny and informative volunteer Jim was! (egg hole 🤣🤣🤣) Some pros: + I have never been able to see animals/lions this closely at a zoo. Being close at a safe distance really allows you to appreciate them for a very long time. + there were activities/enrichment to watch around the clock! I really enjoyed hoofing it from a Bird Chat to a lion snack to an emu painting and then to another lion snack and then a photo opp with Rock. + I learned SO MUCH! huge shoutout again to the keepers and volunteers who told us so much

First off, you are greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable staff which makes it very welcoming and inviting. A added bonus is, the month of your birthday you receive free admission. They have a nice gift shop with medium prices, but everything purchased directly helps the ranch with foods and supply for lions.
Rebekah N — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our behind the scenes tour with Tyler. He provided lots of information about the individual animals and showed he has positive relationships with the beautiful animals. Be sure to ask any question you have to help you better understand the habitat. These animals were not captured in the wild.

Lion Habitat is a great place to see lions up close while they feed. It's a small zoo with lions, ostrich, and parrots, but there is no giraffe as it died a year ago. Overall, it's a nice place to visit and it's a non-profit organization. The people are nice and interactive. There's a small gift shop with reasonably priced items. Overall, it's a compact place worth visiting at least once.

This was such a neat experience. You can get so close to the majestic lions. The tortoises, emus and ostrich are also very cool to see! Volunteer Jim greeted us as soon as I walked in and was very present throughout our visit. He had a lot of great animal facts for us and we loved his collection of animal finds that he shared with us. He also takes amazing photos!

We have a wonderful few days at the ranch. This place is gigantic!!!Service was excellent as the whole staff was very helpful and accommodating. We ate at a few different restaurants there and the food was absolutely delicious along with the excellent service. We had a great time at the green valley, we found the staff to be very welcoming and attentive. We spent a day at the pool and our server at the pool was awesome I wish I had caught her name. She gave us some dinner recommendations and kept checking on us, she was fantastic. Also both meals we had at lucky penny were great and the servers were wonderful. Valets were great and quick with our cars. We knew the room were dated so not an issue for us. We enjoyed the restaurants and Whole Foods close by. We would rec’d.

We come at least once a week to chill eat and game.... plenty to report but it is leeks a small getaway. We shall hold up and stay at some point-i hear they got tubs so yeah a definite necessity. The environment is great so there's no question is worth it and only a20 min. Stretch from the strip, mind you no fold cause am accident. Certainly pre track your maps to see if there are any incidents- there are other routes to tour. The food seen is from Borracha Mexican cantina and if you enjoy Mexican go ahead and call in a resv. The barria tacos-sweetheart goes after often the pre salsa and chips are great and I enjoy the light freshness of the shrimp ceviche.

Beautiful hotel away from the crowds of the strip and only 20 minutes ride from airport/strip/Sphere. Hotel is next doors to the District shopping area with great selection of shops and restaurants. We stayed 4 days and attended 3 shows and enjoyed the awesome pool. Professional staff throughout the hotel, caaino and facilities. Recommend this hotel to enjoy the best of Las Vegas without the crowds.

A lot has gone downhill with all Station Casinos since Covid. They took full advantage of removing all buffets, decimating player comps, and tightening their game play. It's a beautiful property and the staff is excellent, but Red Rock resorts, Inc. has removed the once great advantages of their resorts to increase profits for their shareholders. It's a shame, really.
Don M — Google review
For the price, it isn't worth it. The spa was mediocre. I've had better massages and the spa facilities were clean but the sauna was pitiful and barely hot. Everything is way too expensive, except for the couple of things in the food court. The Italian place gave us what tasted like a 12 dollar bottle of Chardonnay at 50 bucks. I know a lot of places do this but I find it hard to forgive the headache I got from it. I don't know firsthand, but my partner thought the sushi place was overpriced for what it was The saving grace of this place is that the service is superb. All the employees seem happy and well compensated. If this place was cheaper and if they had a car service to the strip/Fremont, it could easily be 5 stars.

Arturo my waiter in the Lucky Penny gave me excellent service today. Stephanie the cashier in the Lucky Penny is very personable and efficient. Donna in the cashier area where I cashed my winning ticket needs an attitude adjustment. She gave the impression to me and the person in front of me that she doesn’t like her job.

We then did the mine tour and that was pretty cool too. Bruce was our tour guide for that cool activity and he was amazing as well. We actually got to meet the owners and everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. If Im not mistaking we paid a total of 375 for the whole experience and Id definitely come back to do the whole thing over again. After our tour they recommended we go a few miles down the road to visit a popular lake and we loved that as well. Thanks for making Vegas an amazing experience for Us !

It's just above the Colorado River and the back side of Lake Mead Recreation Area

Nelson Ghost Town is an abandoned gold mine that offers tours and features restored buildings with retro signs, photos, and relics. It has become a popular spot for Vegas destination weddings due to its unique and picturesque backdrop. The town showcases crashed airplanes, custom automobiles, mining equipment, skulls, and even some unusual surprises in the freezer. Visitors can explore the area for a small fee and may even catch a glimpse of the guest rooms.
I don't know where to start, from the hospitality to the amazing town, then the mine itself. Make sure you have at least a few hours to stop in explore take photos, then you have to do the mine tour! There's so many cool and antique things to see it's crazy. I've never seen such a collection in one place. From inside the store where you have to stop and look in every direction, even the ceiling. The town itself has so many cool buildings and vehicles. I just can't say enough good things about this place. Take lots of water it's so hot. You definitely need to go here whether you're a photographer, a mine enthusiast or just like old and unique things. There's literally something here everyone will love. Im already looking forward to planning a return trip. GO ITS SO WORTH IT

Stop by the general store 1st! The owner will greet you, ask your intentions and give you important info about visiting. 😉 Worth the drive to see the history here; eclectic and somewhat ominous really. Drive 5 miles further to beautiful Lake Mead.

Well worth the visit, acres of collectibles, mine tours, wedding venue etc. If you are into vintage this is a great spot. Owners love on site and are very friendly. Has been the site of numerous movies, music videos, photo shoots etc.

Absolutely loved visiting Nelson Ghost Town! It’s such a unique and fascinating place with so much history and character. Walking around felt like stepping back in time—old buildings, vintage cars, and tons of interesting antiques and photo spots everywhere. The staff was super friendly and shared great stories about the town’s past. It’s a photographer’s dream and a fun little adventure just outside Las Vegas. Highly recommend stopping by if you love hidden gems, quirky spots, and a glimpse of the Old West!

Nelson is a must see, especially for photographers. There are some unwritten rules. Please be sure to stop in and see the owners first, If its just to give them a tip, or pay for a day of photo shoots, it's the right thing to do. The owners a friendly amazing people who have done a lot to maintain the town and its artifacts. Take a tour of the mine when they offer it. It is worth every minute, and it is cooler underground.

Amazing venue for folks who love the 'Wild West's, classic motor vehicles and memorabilia, and ghost town 'eerie' places... This place has also featured in many Hollywood movies so for the film buffs out where, this place ticks all the boxes

Nelson Ghost Town is pure magic! ✨ Stepping in here feels like traveling back in time – rusted cars, abandoned buildings, and the haunting beauty of the Nevada desert. 🌵🏚️ Every corner screams adventure and makes you reach for your camera instantly. The Techatticup Mine tour? Mind-blowing! ⛏️ You can almost hear the echoes of miners from the 1800s – history comes alive here. Whether you’re chasing epic photos, history vibes, or just a wild, off-the-beaten-path adventure, Nelson Ghost Town delivers BIG TIME. Don’t just visit – experience it! 💛

While in Las Vegas , I found out that there is this cool ghost town nearby , so we decided to check it out. As a photographer I had to get some creative shots of me , and my oh my , this place is full of incredible props ! For some it might be junk - but for me it was a gold mine !

We stopped by on our way to Laughlin. The workers were super friendly and the vibes where very chill. We stopped by on a Friday night. It was slow a couple of people drinking and playing darts just having a good time. This is a good place to stop for a quick rest. Drinks are complimentary when playing slots. Bathrooms were nice and clean and they have a Denny's open till midnight. Don't forget to tip when you get your drink! :)

Won a little bit on machine blackjack like 150 so ended well for me. They don’t have tables just machines and basically a bar that serves drinks and food. The staff at the bar were professional and courteous and they’re also the ones who cash out the winnings for ya and make the delicious drinks. This place is a bit far for me go as a Californian but makes for a nice stop in the middle of nowhere kinda.

Ordered a BLT. When it came I looked at it and it must have had a pound of bacon on it. I thought how will I ever eat all of this. It was amazing and I ate the whole thing. This was in 2016 and we were passing through but I never forgot this place. I believe that Mitch Marner needs to take a ride down from Vegas for the BLT!’

It's midnight, and these two are outside smoking a cigarette and hanging out while there people are standing in line, me for over five minutes, people before me said ten, I walked out and took pics of them in my car while they laughed and still hung out outside while the people inside continued to have to wait. I went next door, got my energy drink and tipped the girl for doing her job. We're traveling through, most people are, and need to get an energy drink or whatever and get back on the road, one of you can atleast take care of the line, that type of work ethic and attitude is unacceptable, and just pathetic. Sorry for their customers with these ones on the clock.. The gas station blond next door atleast got a couple bucks out of it..

Cindy and I had a late morning breakfast at TERRIBLE’S ROADHOUSE RESTAURANT on Saturday, 14 April 2018. Also, we met and shared our mealtime with our friend, Cricket, who lives in Searchlight. The restaurant is located in the small town of Searchlight, Nevada about an hour from Las Vegas. TERRIBLE’S ROADHOUSE RESTAURANT is located right on the main street with easy access into spacious, level parking lots, even for big rigs. Entry into the restaurant goes through part of the casino which, unfortunately, is very smoky and I don’t like that at all. There are booths and tables available. We chose a booth that was located further from the casino part. I ordered the Corned beef hash with breakfast potatoes and rye toast. We had coffee with lots of cream. The Corned beef hash was tasty and the potatoes were good. And, the coffee was delicious. Our cups got topped off a couple of times. However, I didn’t like the rye toast as it appeared to be more a marbled kind of toast rather than the kind of rye toast I like. Nonetheless, Cricket enjoyed my toast as she used it to dunk into her coffee. Cindy and Cricket enjoyed their meals. We all thought that the portions and prices were reasonable. And, the presentation of the food was good. We were glad that the restaurant has an A grade from the Clark County Health Department. Our waitress was polite, prompt and helpful. We will definitely eat at TERRIBLE’S ROADHOUSE RESTAURANT again in the future.

And I have to use the bathroom... I end up ordering some fish and chips for 8 bucks and they are just fantastic .! Hopefully it will be just what I need to cover these last 35 mi

On a trip to Laughlin we stopped for a potty break and to pick up a coffee and they touted their clean bathrooms and yes they were, great job Terrible's. They appear to have a nice little casino and a McDonald's there too. One side note and this is true of so many Nevada small towns ...watch your speed. Obviously not Terrible's fault, just throwing it out there.

Cold beer at cheap price. $3.00 for draft glass and $8.00 for a pitcher. Decent happy hour appetizers (all day), if you can manage the smoke indoors. Never crowded. Good for a quick beer between Vegas and havasu.
EMP — Google review
It has a casino, it has a bar, it has restrooms that are clean, it even has the convenience store, and McDonald's is even added on to that. I stopped there on the way back from Vegas to play a little bit of keno and use the restroom. I said at the bar although I did not have a cocktail the bartender was lovely. Which is hard to come by nowadays period. I actually hit there for the first time and that was even better than better. No punch intended but it was a win-win situation😁

Great place to recharge with drinks snacks. McDonald's if you're hungry prices are higher than other McDonald's. Casino is fun for adults.

Great place to go for the day if you want to get out of the heat. Water stays about 58. Nothing feels better when it’s 110 outside. Easy to launch a boat. Easy parking, there is a marina store if you forget something, camp ground with bbq pits, kayak and paddle boards and you can board up to pirates cove.
Amber D — Google review
This is an awesome spot just about 1.5 hours outside of Vegas if you’re looking to hit the water! I usually launch my paddle boards here and head toward the Hoover Dam. You do have to pay a fee to get in, but if you plan on coming more than once it’s more cost efficient to buy a yearly pass! Along the way, you’ll pass the historic ruins of a house, complete with a plaque detailing its history. You can still see the pulleys, wooden walkways along the rocks, and a watchtower. Fun fact: this was the original site planned for the Hoover Dam, but it was moved upstream due to a visible fault line! Emerald Cave is about an hour paddle upstream, and the water inside is absolutely beautiful (check out the video I attached for @trashclvss). Across the river, there’s also Echo Cave, which is worth exploring. There are plenty of spots to pull off and hang out, plus lots of rocks to jump from! Keep in mind, the water is always cold, but after a few jumps in and out, your body adjusts. Be sure to look at the mountains, there are frequently mountain goats there!! It’s always such a fun adventure exploring the Colorado River!

First time visiting. Very nice. Water was clear and looked clean. Got there at 8am on a Sunday. There was already lots of people but plenty of parking. We went for fishing but no bites. Seem like a weekend's a bad day to go fishing there. Too many people boating, paddle boards, swimming, making noise. Having fun but not great for fishing. There were people fishing off the docks but I did not see anybody catch anything.
Abe K — Google review
Will Creek Marina was so good. There was fishing in the fishing area was clean. People were catching lots of fish. There was boating. Everybody was respectful. The weather was perfect. There was plenty of parking for boats and campers. The showers and bathrooms were immaculate. There were people living on sitethat were cleaning up constantly trimming bushes manicuring the entire campground. The water was crystal clear and it wasn’t crowded with people.
Learning T — Google review
It's so nice here! So much wildlife and nature to explore. I just love it!! During the summer the bugs are kind of crazy. There are swarms of bugs that look like mosquitoes, but they're really not. Beware, there are wood wasps here, we've seen them many times, so be careful around those. The only real issue here is people leaving trash and not picking up after themselves. Other than that 10/10.
Victoria V — Google review
Easiest way to rent a boat and everyone is so friendly. I always bring people here because it’s the coolest experience around and I am from Las Vegas. Everyone is always amazed with the views, it’s really a hidden gem. You can also bring your dog which is a huge thing for me.

Lake Mohave

Bodies of Water
Lake Mohave is a picturesque reservoir located on the Colorado River that offers a variety of recreational activities such as swimming, skiing, scuba diving, boating and fishing. It's known to be one of the hottest places in the United States so visitors are advised to bring plenty of sunblock. Despite this, it's a great spot for picnics and taking a refreshing dip in the river. Many have enjoyed their time here including families who come during spring break.
Lake Mohave is the ultimate summer paradise in the middle of the desolate American southwest! This reservoir, almost 70 miles long, is accessible via multiple public marinas and is an amazing place to boat, jet ski, kayak, swim, and explore the waters! When we visited, we rented a boat and jet ski out of Katherine’s Landing on the Arizona side, and we boated all around all day - it was so much fun! It was the peak of summer and about 120 degrees - it gets HOT here, so be sure to bring plenty of water and use sunscreen!! On hot summer days you can expect this lake to be packed with boaters and jet skiers everywhere. You have to be observant when driving because some jet skiers like to get really close to boats and accidents can happen. This is why we sought out a quiet part of the lake away from everyone else where we could enjoy it in all its glory! Not too far from Katherine’s Landing, on the western side of the side, we found some awesome coves that had no people. If you search “Roman Cove” on Google Maps Satellite view, and look at the small cove directly south of it, that’s the one we went to and were there for over 2 hours with no signs of any other people. I am sure there could be better spots on the lake, but this was a great location! No waves, quiet, and a perfect place to bring your family! The water is extremely warm in the summer months, but still quite refreshing when it’s well over 100 degrees. Again, remember, bring water and sunscreen (and food so you don’t have to go back to a marina to eat). I highly recommend coming to the lake if you’re in the area because nothing compares to it! Go to a place like Katherine’s Landing, rent a boat or jet ski, and have fun!!
Michael — Google review
I haven’t been there yet, but my son has and he said that’s the place to go not the river. The river is running dirty and the current is fast and strong. Lake Mojave is quite serene has a nice swimming beach and has rentals.
Cathryn S — Google review
Always a fun place to get some sun, relax with a few beers and do some swimming or boating. It was a perfect combo of 100° heat, a cool breeze and really cold water where it felt great while being in the water but nice on the beach as well. I come out here usually twice a year and enjoy it everytime.
J R — Google review
I go to Lake Mohave quite often. Most of the time to fish. It's a great place to take the family and spend the day cruising around in the boat, jet skiing or just lounging in one of the many nice coves or beaches. The water is colder than the lake but nice and clean and crystal clear.
Jorge T — Google review
A great place to be in the desert! So close to Laughlin. The shallow & natural temperature water is the best part for family with kids like mine. Only few minutes drive from main riverside hotels. The entrance fee is a cool offer.. for a single car $20 for 7 day pass & $44 for whole year! Also this place has several shores/beach some are specify for boats only. Best place to camp, have picnics, swim, dive, ride boats & water jet, but over all get lost from streets and have fun with your love ones. But be careful! Summer could be real hot!
Gabriel ( — Google review
We went kayaking on the river there and it was absolutely spectacular. The views were amazing, the history was really cool to learn about. Our tour guid was amazing and we will definitely be going back. Emerald Cave was really cool. The water was so clear and clean. The water was freezing but that was to be expected since it is snow melt. We had lunch on the side of the rocks and it was perfect. Kayaking was a little difficult but we managed and had a great time! I wouldn’t take kids kayaking unless they are experienced. We saw about 3 kids flip and the water is freezing.

The first time our family visited here. Nest and fresh air but no bright day! We saw the cows but missing the photo, only in my honey memory. Road may flood.
Mill J — Google review
This is such a beautiful lake! I keep my boat nearby and go there often with friends and family. The water temperature is very comfortable for swimming right now and the air temperature is around 115° during the day. The trick is to wear a cotton t-shirt and go in the water often with the shirt on and use it as a cooling device

Nestled along the banks of the Colorado River, the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park & Trails is a delightful destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. This scenic area features interpretive signs that enhance your understanding of the local ecosystem, picnic tables perfect for a leisurely lunch, and access to an extensive network of trails. Spanning 10.
This is a nice walking path. Wide enough paths for all people. Riding bikes, walkers, runners, and wheelchair accessible. From the start to the end to the park is roughly 4 miles. There is no access to the damn. But still you can take some beautiful pics of it. Tables and park benches are also along the path. Places to rest and have a quick snack or even pack food for a lunch.

Nice paved and dirt trail going along the Colorado river. There’s information placards and some old remnants of structures. You can also go across the top of the dam and the roads closed to vehicles. That’s where the AZ/NV state line is. You can do dirty stuff in two states. Not as fun as 4 corners, but no crowds watching.
Matt F — Google review
Very happy to have trails like this to ride with the family. Wide enough for cyclists and pedestrians. Bathrooms and plenty of parking at both trailheads, with lots of picnic areas and benches along the way.
Jessica S — Google review
You can't spend ALL your time at the casino. Take the Riverwalk north, cross the main road taking your life in your hands, and you'll have the best viewpoint at the new pedestrian bridge. It goes for miles! Note: no trailer/RV parking on north side. Go to the south side of bridge there is a larger lot not as busy.
Mrs ( — Google review
We stopped by the park for a short walk. It's a very nice park by the river. The water is crystal clear! Beautiful for walk, picnic and of course water sports fun!
Angela Z — Google review
Really awesome trail! Did the whole thing in a loop this morning. I was disappointed to discover a homeless encampment near the picnic shelters on the river on the west side as I was exploring with my dog. Not exactly ideal near kids playground and picnic shelters. The trail through the city side and over the bridge isn't very fun, if I were to do it again I might just do it in reverse back instead of going through the traffic side.
Justin E — Google review
This was a great walk About a 2 mile walk to the park directly across from the dam. Flat paved path asking the river as well as a dirt/gravel path for horses. Restrooms at both ends and water fountains and covered shade areas every mile or less. People fishing, walking, swimming, and enjoying the views.

Whether you're a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun diversion from the casino scene, this two-floor exhibit offers a nostalgic journey through automotive history.
5$ a person w/o riverside king clubs card. Nice selection of cars! Plus a free little museum with old slot machines downstairs. Give yourself enough time to see everything. (30-45+ minutes) (We came late and had to rush)

Don Laughlin was an avid car collector and anyone who appreciates classic cars will enjoy visiting this place. There are plenty of classics from the 50’s and 60’s and rides that go as far back as the early 1900’s. Some of the vehicles have considerable history as mentioned on the plaques. Everything in here was well organized and cared for. It was a nice, quiet area to get away from the flashing lights and noise of the casinos.

I'm having an amazing time. The rooms are beautiful. The weather is fantastic! The adult pool area is awesome. I've done some gambling and eaten at the Riverside Cafe. The food is delicious. The prices aren't bad. Lots of other choices I haven't tried yet: the buffet, the fine dining, etc. I've heard excellent things about everything.

Riverside restaurant has sticky menus, sticky table & meh food. The 1st man who approached our table was asked to come back, as we had just been seated. He never returned. The front desk staff? Eye rolling & a phffft when asked to see our room bill. Then we asked for a manager, who seemed begrudging to help us. This is not the way to treat people. Poor ventilation, all our clothes smelled of smoke. Pool area is very nice & clean. The staff out there are very friendly & kind. People in the casino cage & help desk are friendly & helpful. There's work to be done here. We likely won't return, too much has gone downhill in the last couple of years. Aquarius looks to be our next location. Thank you, Don, when you were still around, Riverside was the best.

I had a great time. My neighbor took me and my husband to The Prime Rib Room. Great customer service for being short handed on staff. Our server was running his tush off never skipped a beat. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, it was delicious. My husband and our neighbor had The Prime Rib. My experience was like going to a really fancy Buffet with a choice of 1 protein. Great food for the price. On the Casino floor, we all had a good time too. The cocktail server was nice and brought cocktails in a timely manner.

I'm also a NJ Atlantic city regular and im old school so I require live dealers and now it's all computer stuff unreal to me playing black jack yet the elders seem to flock there. Nice places to eat but you may feel a tad awkward if your under 45yrs of grinding on this 3rd rock. Ijs tho.ill update later bcuz im gonna venture into the " loisers lounge" ....eventually. 😃

My recent stay at the Edgewater Casino Resort was an absolute delight. This property consistently proves why it's a top choice for visitors to Laughlin, perfectly blending classic casino fun with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The location is, without a doubt, one of its biggest assets. Situated right on the Colorado River, you have direct access to the famous Laughlin Riverwalk. Stepping outside to take a stroll along the water, especially at sunset, is breathtaking. It’s the perfect way to break up a day of gaming or to simply enjoy the beautiful scenery. The convenience of being able to walk to neighboring casinos or just watch the riverboats glide by is unbeatable. What truly makes the Edgewater stand out, however, is its staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful. The front desk agents were efficient and welcoming, the cocktail servers were quick with a smile, and the dealers in the casino were engaging. It’s clear that the people working here take pride in creating a positive experience for their guests. A highlight of our trip was dinner at the Signature Steakhouse. Not only was the food excellent—perfectly cooked steaks and delicious sides—but the atmosphere was elevated by fantastic live music. It transformed a great meal into a memorable evening. There's something special about enjoying a top-notch dinner while listening to a talented musician; it added a layer of sophistication and fun that we truly appreciated.

Horrible experience. Nice stains and hair on the bedding. Had to relocate to the Aquarius hotel the very next night which was slightly better but still whatever. Those hotels should just shutdown. Definitely feel bad for whomever stays there.

Nice place to stay. Very affordable (in comparison to Vegas). Loved the water taxi. Did the $25 day pass and rode up and down the river a bit. Great way to enjoy the day on the water for so cheap.

Old outdated look all around. Felt like staying at a nursing home. We had to have our room switched due to being dirty and the room we were switched to was dirty as well. My husband had to kill bugs in both rooms and there were spider webs in multiple areas. HORRIBLE mattress and bedding had multiple stains. Lamps were dusty and stained. Elevators and hallways have a bad odor and weren’t clean. Service was nice and the view was nice but the window was so filthy you could not enjoy it. Decent for the price, but very uncomfortable and dirty.

The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, very clean. We were unable to use the water taxis because the ramps were to steep to use my walker. Elevators at the Regency was out of service. We had to walk around on loose gravel, very difficult with a walker. But, we made the best of it. On our next visit I hope the water taxi ramps are ADA compliant for us unstable people.

We stayed here for one night and appreciated the location and the lovely view from our room. The pool area was relaxing, and it was convenient that the hotel provided towels. There was plenty of entertainment available throughout the hotel, which added to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the smell inside the hotel was truly unpleasant. We weren’t aware that smoking was allowed indoors, and that was a dealbreaker for us. While smoking wasn’t permitted in the rooms, ours still had a strong, lingering odor. The room itself was spacious but felt very outdated. To make matters worse, the staff at check-in and check-out were unfriendly and unwelcoming. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

The Staff were excellent. We arrived 11:00 pm Nevada time, 2:00 am my time. Was given a room I did not reserve. They corrected the problem by 10:00 am the following day. We spent our time at the Outlet Mall across the street and my son home in Kingman, AZ. We used the buffet in the other hotel, the food was good. We found the brewery and ate the most excellent food.

I would have given this hotel 1 star if not for the staff. Arrived at 10 pm and had to wait in line to check in for over an hour. Didn't really receive an apology for the long wait, but the woman who checked me in was pleasant enough. The room was pretty gross. The shower floor was dirty and could use a good scrubbing. The room needed a carpet cleaning and vacuuming. There was dust caked alongside the walls. I wouldn't stay here again and would advise others against it as well. I'm not sure how this place has so many great reviews. It wasn't cheap either since I paid $68 a night. Next time I'll definitely find a cleaner hotel.

This hotel is amazing! My first hotel I’ve ever been to. The room was old and the TV didn’t had that much channels. But it was super worth it! Also the smoothies next to the pool were super good! I slept very well, and the AC was turned on and it was super cold! But still, great hotel! Also if you’re looking forward to go at the river. Find a good spot! There’s a lot of people there, but I recommend not to go at the river in the morning, super windy, sand blows in my face. But I had a great experience at Colorado Belle! :D

My room was was clean. It definitely needs an update. The furniture shot. Lamps didn't work. The beds were ok; but they definitely need to be replaced. Bathroom was great! Very quiet rooms. The front desk was very accommodating and new their jobs.I used the beep hops for my luggage and were very nice and while handling my luggage. The hotel could use more types of eating establishments. I suppose I would stay there again.
Gordon W — Google review
The friendly and courteous staff is the only reason for the 1 star. The hotel rooms are not clean and are in extreme need of updating. There were hair ties and other items on the floor so our room was obviously not even vacuumed. The carpet had a matted sticky feel to it - had to wear shoes. The entire hotel needs to renovated.

My husband and I think that we love the interior and the personnel , they were put there just for us. ( And for you) . It's clean and wheelchair accessible. It has all the parking that you could need. The rooms are very nice and very clean, and will be cleaned at any time you wish. Refrigerators are given by request. ,

The Hotel is priced great if you're on a tighter budget. The check in guy Cristian was helpful. My first time staying there, I didn't like the lay out of the the floors. Also lots of people seemed lost going to their rooms due to lack of direction from service desk. The room was so far from the elevator. They should have another set of elevator in the towers but they don't. The rooms come with only 2 towels in a double queen bed. I didn't like that, should have 4 like most hotels. The pool bar was closed both days we went, since you can't take in ice chest ( most hotels it's also not allowed) it made it hard to enjoy a drink buy the pool. Had the $15.99 Steak dinner at Pints. I thought it came with a drink like the photo but it didn't. How ever it was priced right and the t-bone was very good so props to the chef. Check out was easy. I don't think it would be a choice for me to stay in the future, but it is not a bad choice to stay there.
Melinda C — Google review
This place was awful. If you're not a smoker, do yourself a favor and stay on the other side of the river in AZ. The first room we got was for non-smoking and it was so bad we turned right back around and had to ask for another one. The staff was pretty gruff with us like it was our fault, but eventually we got a much cleaner room. Breakfast was pretty expensive and not that amazing for the price, but the waiter was really good. Kind of a bummer I can't give him a 5 star rating. The casino itself was okay and it was entertaining watching the raccoons dive into the trash cans out front, but that was about it.

Just spent 4 nights at GN. We got upgraded from a court yard view to a river view which was great. This room had laminate flooring and not nasty old carpet. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower with glass doors. Only concern there was that a grab bar should be installed. Check in was easy and the staff is very friendly throughout the casino. There was lots of cleaning going on, even the entryway palms were getting pruned back. Only disappointment was that the river view bar was closed for remodel and will be closed for a few months. This is our Laughlin go to place.

The room was dated back to the 80's. The only thing good about the room is your dogs can stay there for a fee of ninety dollars 4 -2 dogs. You can't take your dogs anywhere in the casino. Our bed had a big dip in it from people sleeping on the mattress. The air conditioner stopped working. We ordered breakfast and the hash brown potatoes were soggy and not cooked enough and the eggs were over easy, but the whites were not cooked. This was at the claim jumper cafe. The only thing cool about the casino was the giant gold nugget. The red felt under the nugget needs to be updated with a nice blue felt. The casino smelt like cigarette smoke even in the room. When I made my reservation, the reservationists could have been better about explaining to me the difference in the pet rooms about the patios. I would have preferred a room with a patio cuz you can open the door and go outside with your pets. Reservationist needs to upsell.

I’d advise that you skip Golden Nugget in Laughlin. It’s old and nasty, slowly getting updated, but it fails on every point. The front desk lied to me saying they didn’t know if the room we were getting had been renovated; it hadn’t and she of course knew that. The elevator to the room is as disgusting as any flop house that rents rooms by the hour; it smelled of mold and asbestos. It still has carpet from the 60s; you can feel that it’s damp from the mildew and scuz. The rooms are not great but the bed was nice. The AC didn’t work well and it made a crazy noise. There wasn’t a single thing we could plug a phone into; the alarm clock had the USB connection but the clock actually didn’t work all. They seriously had a non working alarm clock in the room. The USB ports on the wall sconces were not hooked up to electricity of something because they didn’t work either. The Golden Nugget failed on every single point. The whole hotel stinks. The Casino smells like broken dreams, spilt beer and cigarettes. The Claim Jumper restaurant was nasty. For dinner I made the mistake of getting a French dip; (inviting tragedy I know) no taste other than salt. I actually don’t know why I try to order that anywhere; it’s typically pretty bad. And then like a dope I went back down there for breakfast, a new crew I figured “who can screw up breakfast?” Well… fool me twice shame on me so I’ll own that. Nothing good here, so I say- Skip the Nugget

This property is very dated. I believe they had some newly remodeled rooms but we were not in one. The bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water but it was really worn. Also smokey, even in the restaurants which wasn’t ideal. Would love to see Laughlin come back to good old days. Hopefully the remodeling will help.
Shelly R — Google review
When we arrived, everything seemed fine — until we went down to the steakhouse for dinner. It was closed for the rest of the day due to a main water leak. Unfortunately, every restaurant on site was closed as well, meaning we had to leave the property to find food right after checking in. A few hours later, we came back ready for a hot shower and some rest… but there was still no hot water. Calling the front desk took several tries before someone finally answered. I was told the water issue “wasn’t their fault,” and when I asked to check out for a refund, I was informed that the manager — the only one authorized to process refunds — had already gone home for the night. We paid extra for a river view room, yet there was no river view at all (see attached photo). By morning, the situation somehow got worse. We woke up to the smell of sewage and still had no working toilets. As we packed up to leave, one of us grabbed a donut we’d saved for breakfast — only to find it covered in ants. Photo attached. We reported everything upon checkout, received a quick “sorry,” and were still charged in full. At this point, we were just relieved to leave. Golden Nugget Laughlin may have its charm for others, but for us, this stay was anything but golden.

I called and booked directly from the hotel because I wanted to secure a River view room. So I paid full price. (No view of the River) From the time of are arrival we had issues. After check in we explored the hotel decided to go to Salt Grass Steak house. It was closed due to a water issue. So after eating a horrible meal off site. We come back to the room to shower and brush teeth. And no water. I had to use my own hotspot. The guest WiFi did not work and was very unsecured. Waking up early still no water. The Krispy Cream donuts I brought the day before had been attacked by ants over night and I did not know that after eating some of them. We properly left the room and I explained all my issues and concerns upon checkout and I was told have a good day there is nothing I can do. Here’s your deposit back! I had less amenities here than at my house. I will never stay here again.

After this weekend, The Golden Nugget Laughlin will always be our #1 choice when booking. Their employees are so amazing!!! I had left my wallet and was unable to check in, but Dawn came to our rescue and handled it for us. After a few hours of dealing with our 3rd party booking site, Dawn had us all checked in. I am so grateful for all her hard work, patience and help. Also, Jacob the hotels driver was the coolest guy ever. He saw us struggling with Uber and offered to give us a ride. Not only that, he came back to pick us up from our evening. Such a great guy...thanks Dawn and Jacob for making our stay with the GN so great and memorable. We look forward to coming back soon!!!

Sadly, the Golden Nugget has lost us. We changed rooms due to the first room having plumbing issues, a broken a/c, and a few small things not worth mentioning. While the second room had awesome a/c, it did still have plumbing issues and just generally downtrodden. We met someone in the hallway who had mold in their first room, plumbing issues and a few other things in their second room. Both of us agreed we won't be coming back. The whole place has obvious signs of neglect, disrepair, and the appearance of lack of respect for a once classic place to be. On the upside, the gals at the desk were awesome! Unfortunately, we will not longer come back to the Nugget and will find better accommodations.

Harrah's Laughlin - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Harrah's Laughlin Hotel & Casino is a vibrant property offering entertainment, a casino, and eight dining options, along with a river beach for relaxation. The hotel is pet-friendly, providing accommodations for four-legged friends in specific rooms and offering specialized pet packages. Located in southern Nevada, the resort features traditional-style rooms with amenities such as flat-screen TVs and blackout curtains. While some visitors suggest updates are needed, the hotel is renowned for its luxury offerings and stunning views of the Colorado River.
This review is for my first Caesars rewards charter to Laughlin from Seattle. I booked a central king room and was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but all went above and beyond my expectations. Firstly, they have the charter service extremely dialed in for convenience. I was extremely impressed. I checked a bag for free in Seattle, and never touched it again until I found it waiting for me in my room when I was done gambling that evening. The shuttle driver was informative and pleasant. When the bus arrived, we got off and there was a gentleman handing out bottles of water and name-labeled envelopes with the map grounds, a players card, and a key to the room in which we were already checked in. No check-in lines? Count me in for that! I triple read the paperwork before getting in the elevator, because I couldn’t believe it was that streamlined. I was expecting a non-river room, but was surprised to find a gorgeous view of the landscape and river awaiting me. I gave it a quick look over after reading reviews to see if it had any issues. It’s true that there were only 2 small pillows on the king sized bed, but for me that was a non issue. I did find some hairs in the tub, a left behind toothbrush, and some floor crumbs. I do think they could definitely tighten up their cleaning game, as it is mentioned repetitively, and even as clean as my room was, some things had been missed. The outer window to the river was overdue a wash as well. I feel as though just a little more attention to detail would make a huge difference in reviews. I might have gotten lucky or had set my expectations low enough that I was truthfully ecstatic. Aside from those small missteps, the bed was comfortable and clean, the water pressure was good, no drainage or AC issues as others have experienced. In the central tower river-view room I had a coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, USB ports on the lamps, bath gel, a shampoo conditioner combo, a decent amount of towels. I actually never called housekeeping to restock anything during my 4 day stay. The ice machine worked and so did the vending machine. I was there over a weekend and didn’t have problems with the elevators in the Central tower. I was slightly disappointed to find that Harrah’s doesn’t have many older slots. I’m a bit of a nostalgic player and don’t gravitate toward the newer machines much. Many people would feel the opposite. Drink service was flowing nicely, but then again, I tip $2-3 per drink. I noticed plenty of $10 tables on a Friday night, which was a pleasant surprise. I had no luck on the slots the entire time, but such is gambling more often than not. They are a bit away from other casinos, but the free shuttle to the Trop was nice. I never utilized the pools, beach, or water taxis. Harrah’s doesn’t have a big selection of restaurants, but I went casual and had a sub at Pin Up, Birria Tacos from Guy’s (room service which came quickly and efficiently), and breakfast at the Beach Cafe. I thought the food was fairly priced. If I hadn’t been alone, I would have given the steakhouse a shot. I had to work some of the trip, so being allowed WiFi for 2 devices for free, I chose my laptop and tablet. My phone was slow at times without WiFi. Overall, I was super happy and actually booked another trip before I had even left. I’m going to be visiting again in 4 days and I hope I have a similar experience. I was 10th floor Central tower, King river-view and I have my fingers crossed I’ll be seeing that view again. It’s possible coming from a free charter trip my expectations and experience could be different than others, but this was a solid 4-5 stars for me. See you in a few days, Harrah’s!!

I gave it a 3 because of the employees that were helpful and went beyond. The check in started our stay and it was not good. We have a service animal and we always inform the desk of that. I had reserved a No Tower room because it was newly renovated. My husband checked in while I allowed my dog to potty. Side note-he is an alert type service dog and had injured his leg, requiring him to very limited walking per vet. He was in a stroller which would not have limited his ability to alert. When we got ro our room I realized this waa not the room I had reserved. It was a pet room overlooking a roof. I called and explained the situation and was given many excuses. After finally being changed we were moved to the correct room. BTW we had paid extra for a newly renovated room because of the reviews and they were spot on. All of Laughlin had a tired look. Harrahs has a private beach and although open, the pajamas were unavailable, you couldn't bring your own umbrellas and so many restrictions, geared to increase income for Harrahs that it wasn't worth going. It was early September and close 100 so, why the beach was basically unusable, I dont know. We used ro visit Laughlin regularly, loved Harrahs but will never go again.

This was our first Ceasers trip. It was our first time to Laughlin. First off I requested a nonsmoking room they put us in one and I went and they put us in a non smoking room. The room was very hot we had to turn the air down to 60 to even get it comfortable. Our bed sheets had holes in them. The shower was very dingy. The shower floor was so slick you had to be very careful or you would fall. Asked for housekeeping to clean our room and change our sheets and get trash and I asked three times and still never showed up. The lady that was checking out that day was very rude and rolled her eyes at us like we were a burden to check out. They have the option of checking out on your tv but it was not working. They have kisok not working to check out! Because the Tv was not working nor the kiosk to check out wasn’t working you felt the need to be rude and role your eyes at all of us and then just through our keys on the counter. There was no thank you, no saying thanks for staying with us we hope to see you again just downright terrible customer service. That last thing that really put the icing on the cake was we were told that our luggage would be picked up from our room at 2:00 and it would be at the airport when we got their to collect. Well ours did not show up. The man I politely asked about our luggage he told me to have a seat and chill! Very rude. Finally got our luggage after we called and raised cane because they weren’t here finally got there and we were the last ones to check in and just made it to our plain. We do not have a good experience to share! If we come back to Laughlin we will be staying somewhere else that’s for sure.

We had great weekend. The staff was awesome. I would recommend new beds I've been in property management over 15 years. I have to say housekeeping need to be trained a little better. Had to ask for tp, the first night. Then on Saturday when cleaned, left rubber on bathroom floor No water or coffee left. The bathroom floor is very slippery.

The hotel is old and dirty. There was a smell of cigarettes in the casino. I bought air freshener for the room. I only stayed one night. The beds were comfortable also. And The staff was AMAZING 😍 They are so eager to help. The staff made the whole trip absolutely comfortable. This place would be wonderful if it was updated.
Connie C — Google review
My husband and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend with some family, it was not worth the price. The room was lack luster and very small. I completely agree with most reviews about the staff being rude. One bartender at the adult pool was especially rude and had the worst attitude to the point where we just left the pool. It was nice having the private beach for sure. The casino floor was big with a lot of slots, cocktail servers were nice but we will not stay here again when we come back.
Jessica G — Google review
The Rooms are old and run down. The beds are lumpy and hard. The pillows are flat and stiff. The hallways smell like Marijuana. The bartenders are rude. There areno good places to eat. The whole property is run down and needs a deep clean and fresh paint. And lastly the tables are minimum $10 always they close most of them early during the week and the machines don't pay out very well. The shuttle between Tropicana and Harrahs only runs every hour. It could easily run every 30 minutes. The water taxi is fun. The river and mountains are beautiful.
Kittykat — Google review
This resort is not conveniently located to anything else. I took the city bus to get around. You have to climb/ descend 135 stairs to get to the street level to catch the bus. The casino is always smokey even in the non- smoking section. Rooms are starting to show age and need updates in the bathroom.

This course is a great value - the greens are beautifully maintained. Driving range and cart is included in a very reasonable rate.

This place is a dump. Washrooms filthy no soap no paper towels in the clubhouse and on the course. Toilets didn’t flush. Tee boxes okay greens okay but the bunkers and fairways are crap !!! Dave at the bar/proshop is a completely rude and an arrogant individual. Garbage all over the course … will never go back … complete waste of money and time. Too bad as it was probably once a nice course 👎🏼
Thomas M — Google review
Course is good layout, good shape on greens and tee boxes. Sandtraps very poor. Price was good but the most disappointing was the staff. Only seen the guy at the pro shop who was more worried about laying out the rules than any kind of welcoming greeting. Pro on the course just wanted to get his golf game in so move aside and let me thru. Never played this course before but probably won’t play it again.

Played 5/7/25 my guess they will be out of business very soon there is nothing redeeming about this course, everything there is in terrible condition.

Been playing this course for years. It slowly going down hill. Golf carts used to have gps on them. No longer the case. The greens and tee boxes are nice but fairways are crap and watch where you step muddy. Bunkers crap no sand hard or muddy. Used to be $39 and now $50 not worth it. No one answer phone to book tee times. No pro shop anymore. When finished play a round parking lot empty on a Sunday pretty sad. Place has really gone down hill. Won’t be playing this course again. Save your money.

One of the most underrated wilderness areas in the lower 48. The area bordered by I40, 95, the Colorado, and the northern bounds of Lake Havasu is a gem. Tumarion and Powell peaks tower above the transition Sonoran-Mojave biome, the Needles are dramatic and moody, the light is almost never unflattering, and the Colorado runs blue and cold at the bottom. There are petroglyphs, cliffs, arches, cacti, burro trails, canyons, washes, and every color of rock known to man. There are several access points and a UTV makes things easier, but even with a clunker 2wd you can blaze trails into the shimmering austere wasteland of an interior with some determination, water, and a wide brimmed hat. Could easily be a National Monument. Overlooked by car folk as there aren’t any cheap and easy vistas for them to take bad phone photos and phone the day in. Better than Lake Mead in my opinion and the crown jewel of the lower Colorado along with the Spirit Mountain Wilderness to the north.

This is a nice stopover in Needles. We were exploring the town as we were traveling through in our RV. We were looking for a place to check out the river and walk our dog. We went around 5pm and the place was mostly empty. There was a small beach we could hang out at and just enjoy the water. We also walked around the park and just had a good time. The one drawback we noticed was lots of trash on the ground. We were a bit surprised and the wind was blowing it all over. Overall it was a nice stop and we enjoyed it!
Mike B — Google review
We're traveling through the area and wanted a quick picture of the Colorado River. Google Maps directed us to Jack Smith Park via a rough dirt road and we almost got stuck in soft sand. But we eventually found the place driving on paved roads. The park looks like a great spot for boaters, and many were launching their vessels at the dock on this hot September day. There are a few covered picnic tables available and a couple restrooms. But the draw of this place isn't families wanting to enjoy a picnic. It's the boaters. And there's nothing wrong with that. It is what it is, and for what it is, it serves its clients well.

Jack Smith Park & Launching facility was just what the Dr. ordered, for a family fun day in a calm protected area of the Colorado River, off River Rd. in Needles, CA. The first day my family came here, the weather was darn near perfect- in the low 80's, with abundant sunshine. My grandkids were frothing at the bit to get in the water, & this park was ideal, for what they needed. This area consists of a fairly wide, secluded semicircle of calm water, off the main flow of the Colorado River, plus it has a nice wide concrete boat launch ramp, as well as, a buoyed off swimming area, with a soft sand bottom, which tapers very gradually. I was curious, so I began slowly walking backwards, to see how deep the swim area water got. I made it 2ft. from the back buoy line, standing up, without my head going beneath the surface, & I'm 6 ft. tall. My 2nd youngest grandson, who is average height, for an 8 year-old boy, felt comfortable walking around, within a portion of the buoyed off swim area. He still hasn't mastered swimming, but there's such a gradual taper to the bottom within the swim area, that he had no trouble playing in this cold, 50 degree water, within a distance of approx. 10ft., from the bank, with the water hitting him at mid belly heighth. There are quite a few large shade trees near the cusp of a hill that overlooks the swimming area, so the kids played their little hearts out, & the adults sat in chairs, shaded by these trees. We kept a good eye on them, as there is no Lifeguard on duty here, which is posted on signs, along the bank. One thing to be aware of...there are these three-pronged spikes, which are both attached, & have dropped from weeds, growing on this hillside. I took my sandals off at the top of the hill, & walked barefoot down to the water. While doing this, I stepped on one of these abominable little spikes, & it penetrated my heel, drawing blood. Therefore, I advise you to leave your sandals on, until you reach the swim area water's edge, before kicking them off. I saw several nice boats launch from here. The sign on the entrance shack notes its $17 for a Day Boat Launch Pass, & $7 per car, for a Day Use Pass. There's also a nice playground area, at the top of the hill here, plus plenty of semi-shaded picnic tables, as well as restroom buildings on-site.
