Beautiful little would be a good place to bring kids or a pup if you wanted to have a picnic or to read wide paths if you have a stroller lots of shade under the tall trees, lots of places to stop and rest and they have a turtle pond ,

I have never been at this park before but it is clean, beautiful and big. My daughter and I walked around and it was peaceful. We were there for about 2 hours. The turtle pond was cute and seeing all thr dedication headstones was beautiful too.

This was my first time visiting this park and I took my dog Baxter there for a late morning walk. This is an awesome park! Perfect for taking a quick stroll, walking your dog, getting in some light reading on a park bench or munching on some food at a picnic table. If you want to get out of the house or take a quick break from work, this park is a great place to go.

This park is beautiful. This is a great place to bring family on any day. The view here is beautiful. There's a pond full of life. Many turtles and fish are able to be seen. This is such a cute place to have a picnic or bring small children to play. There's no playground but lots of benches and life around.

One of my favorite places to exist with nature for a bit. Quiet, beautiful scenery, not many people, small path with plenty of places to sit. There is a turtle pond with a TON of turtles and a couple of gazebos. Definitely visit if you're in the area and have 30 minutes to spare.

Great place to go starting at 8am to 1pm on a Saturday. So many vegetable/fruit vendors and artisan/artists vendors, food vendors and miscellaneous vendors to start the day. Plenty of free easy accessible parking. Handicap friendly too. There is law enforcement in sight, and people friendly. This is an enjoyable place.

We went on a rainy Saturday, found the perfect parking spot. The coffee stand was great! Everyone was so nice. Some of the vendors need a sales class but we bought some Olive Oil and Flowers, some coffee and snacks, it was a good time

Always love this Market!! It's small & local & has all the good stuff! I got THE BEST egg salad & granola from St.Honore tent. And elderberry tea from Sea Island Organics. Also picked up a jambalaya for my hubby from Culinary Creations. Haven't tried it yet.

Very nice farmers market. Everyone at the vendors were very nice, and hospitable. Lots of choices from fruits, veggies, hand made crafts too. All types of cool stuff to choose from. Decent amount of vendors. We got some good stuff!

Love this farmers market. We especially love visiting Blue Sky Sunny Day Farm stand. They are the only organic stand there! They have organic veggies, eggs, meats and have a bunch of other goodies also. They have baked goods from a local bakery and A2 milk as well as raw milk. Next to the organic farm stand is someone who sells local honey. His honey is the BEST! There is also someone at the market that makes wonderful soaps that we love to get. And the person who sells plants is also very reasonably priced.

This place was a gem.... Not very much to do here, but if you appreciate Confederate history, you'll have fun here and enjoy the monuments, and if you're a whiny liberal snowflake, I recommend you stay away from here... The Confederate monuments might hurt your sissy feelings.... On a serious note, there is a lot of rich history here and it is amazing to know this city still has an endearment attitude towards the confederacy.... Beautiful!!!!

Beautifully kept garden area with cool, photo worthy structures and sites. Just FYI, there may be homeless in some of these structures. We couldn't go into the main one due to that so we took pics of everything else We loved the history of the area and it's definitely worth checked out. It's right next to the Ashley River which you have a very nice location to view it from up top.

My brother got married here on Thursday. It was absolutely beautiful!!! I definitely recommend White Point Gardens for any ceremony.

Wonderful home to tour - it was very well set up and the self guided audio tour was perfect for me (they have guided tours too). The app comes with a city guide that I wish I had earlier in my trip. It also has AC which was much appreciated in the 100 degree humid day I visited.

An 1808 mansion built with the assistance of enslaved labor for a family who traded in slaves, rice and cotton. The oval staircase to all 3 levels is impressive though it is no longer usable. Very cool historic house. I really enjoyed the self guided audio tour, after the main blurb about the spot you’re in, you could choose to listen to a bunch of extras or not! I like having the choice. Crazy to me that the doors were painted to look exactly like mahogany, but are just regular wood even though the family had enough money for the real thing 🤣 Lots of interesting facts about this place and all the workers were very sweet.

This is a beautifully restored 1808 Neoclassical mansion in Charleston. It is a jewel box with wonderful wallpaper, curtains, funishings, table settings, the works. It is not to be missed by locals or tourists.

This historic home is lovely and run as a self guided tour using portable devices. Excellent presentation and very helpful staff. For those with mobility issues they have an elevator allowing ease to the 2nd floor. A must see!!!

The Charleston City Market is always a fun stop when visiting the city. There’s a little bit of everything here, so it’s easy to find souvenirs or unique gifts. Prices can be on the higher side, but that’s pretty standard for a tourist spot. On one of my first visits, a kid handed me a palm rose, and before I knew it, a man was chasing me down asking for $5—it gave off a bit of a New York street hustle vibe. The market is usually crowded and can get very hot in the summer, but there’s a small indoor section with food options, air conditioning, and surprisingly clean bathrooms, which was a welcome break.

Love shopping at the Charleston city market! Lots of great Christmas and birthday gift ideas! People are friendly and there is so much to look at. We also took an E-bike ride to the pineapple fountain and enjoyed sitting by the waterfront. Don’t miss a horse-drawn carriage ride around the city, in the evening, complete with spooky ghost stories and delicious restaurants all around. Overall, Charleston is a fun walkable city with lots of history and a fun vibe!

We checked out the Charleston City Market during the week. It was busy so I can only imagine the weekends. There is street parking and multiple lots available. Lots of local vendors and food available. What I like is that the market is covered. Most of it has fans above to try and keep the vendors and shoppers cool. Part of the market is enclosed with air conditioning. We found a few interesting items and tried some of the food. I would suggest checking it out if you make the trip to Charleston.

There’s a great variety of products to discover, and plenty of good food options around the market. Definitely worth a visit!

A tourist thing in Charleston. You could buy some souvenirs and we got a really cute coaster and a meh magnet. Things are pricey but not incredulous. There is a callies hot biscuit to try. Some very cool art like metal art and real butterflies taxidermy. Went in pouring stormy weather but I can imagine a more laid back stroll at the market with a loved one would be nice. Not every stall is super different so maybe the nyc in me is spoiled and I am looking for novelty. The other thing would be if there were more snacks or bites to try. But overall decent. Not stunning.

A wonderful experience! The market is full of talented artists and beautiful handmade items. The vibe was lively and welcoming, and I really enjoyed walking around and taking it all in. Definitely worth a visit when in Charleston!

This is a must see, local artist, specialty booths and tons of Charleston charm. Had a wonderful time, bought a few Charleston Christmas Ornaments, a few pieces of jewelry and some gifts. The outdoor Market has air-conditioning for those hot days. Would recommend this as a place to visit .

Stopped by on recent visit to Charleston. Nice place to sit and relax while walking thru town. Park is very clean and beautiful views of waterway. Pretty cool that you are allowed to actually walk in the fountain’s water. This is not a large area but again, nice to stop and take a break.

What can I say it's a fountain? And it works, it does have a nice view and surroundings. It's hard to get a very outstanding picture. Because there are so many other people standing around, and the only reason why I actually stopped is because my wife was all excited about seeing it. Period if you go, you'll feel safe.Everything's clean, just straight up.Good time, especially with all the trees down the walkways.

Couldn’t take many photos because my phone ran out of battery during the walk, but it’s such a beautiful place to stroll with a dog. Lots of people were running, walking, and biking while enjoying the scenery. I was worried the weather might be cloudy, but thankfully it cleared up, even though it was quite windy. The Pineapple Fountain wasn’t as big as I expected, but it was still worth seeing. I didn’t want to wait in line, so I took a photo from the other side, haha. The tree-shaded areas and piers were beautiful, and the vast wetlands with ocean views were stunning! Since it was Sunday, parking was free.

Waterfront Park is such a fun park to walk through or sit down in for a little bit. It has the most beautiful view of the channel, where, on a lucky day, you can see the families of dolphins surfacing to come up for air. Of course, it also has the Pineapple Fountain, and the other spray fountain (not sure what it's called) that the kids love to play in in the summertime. The only downsides are that if you're driving there, parking can be a little hard to find, and it can be VERY muggy in the summer. Other than that, I love simply sitting in Waterfront Park and taking in all of the beautiful scenery.

Beautiful and free to roam day or night. Lots of nice displays of monuments, art-sculptures, and beautiful homes. Great walking trail with piers to enjoy the water or fish. Lots of open green space to enjoy and a playground for the kids.

Very beautiful! Great spot to visit! It’s really awesome to sit on a swing and watch the ships go by. If you’re driving a car, there is a parking garage very close by. It’s also not too far from Market Street which is great.

You can stroll through the gardens, walk the esplanade, or spend some time at one of the many fountains. Spanning over 8 acres and located less than a mile north of The Battery, Waterfront Park has become a beloved Charleston fixture. It is home to one of the city's most photographed sites: the pineapple fountain. In Charleston's scorching summer months (and we faced that too), visitors (especially children) can be found cooling off in the shallow water of the fountain. Wide walking paths, dozens of benches, well-manicured green spaces, picturesque Palmetto trees, and a famous Pineapple Fountain adorn the park.

Aquarium was extremely small for the price of admission. We were pretty dispointed. I don't think we were there for more than 45 minutes. The facility itself was beautiful and clean. Animals looked well taken care of. just wish there was more to do.

Went to this aquarium for the first time on a Tuesday morning around 10am, not very busy. Parking in the garage was easy and cheap. The design and layout of the building was great. Animals all look well taken care of. My favorite was the turtle health area where we had fun with the interactive displays with xrays etc to look at. Kid areas looked fun, though my kids are too old for that sort of thing. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. The outdoor areas of the aquarium were very nice. I like the sea turtles, otters and bald eagle the best. We also got to see an opossum running in a giant hamster wheel, which was fun to watch! We purchased a stuffed otter in the gift shop, its love one of the sweatshirts but could not justify paying $75 for it. I thought it should have been cheaper then that. It took me and my teens about 1 hour to go through the whole aquarium. Touch tanks were nice and large. I loved the hand wash stations (I included a picture of them), they were very unique, I've never seen them before and was impressed! Worth a visit especially if you have younger kids.

The South Carolina Aquarium is small but mighty! They have a beautiful selection of fish and the staff is so kind and knowledgeable. Their conservation efforts are so important, and supporting them is worth it. This is an awesome place for adults and littles alike! It’s clean, accessible, and a great place to learn about our finned friends. I hope Milkweed (the beautiful turtle pictured) feels better and gets to go home soon!

Smaller than other aquariums we have visited. The turtle rescue experience, the stingray tank, and touch tank were the highlights. They also had some very cool kid friendly interactive STEM kid experiences.

This place is incredible! It’s a very big and very clean facility! The big tank was the highlight of our trip but everything else was still fascinating! Even the view of the sea from the outside was breathtaking! We will definitely be returning!

Nice aquarium! Plenty to do. Hands on stuff is really cool, and touching stations are included in admission, which is very nice. Shout out to the coolest hand washing stations I have ever seen! They have several different types and sizes of exhibits. My son loved seeing the divers in the big tank. The views outside are amazing. You can also get snacks at the snack bar, and they have a sizable gift shop. The parking garage is really close and only $5. As bonus, if the dude is selling ice pops on the way back to the garage, get one!

The Charleston Aquarium is a truly extraordinary experience! The vast exhibits, especially the stunning large aquarium and the spectacular sharks, left me in awe. Every moment spent there was captivating, making it a must-visit destination for anyone who loves marine life. Highly recommended!

Our national park ranger was amazing. We were there for the taking down of the flag, which was a cool thing to see, especially with a flag the size of the storm flag on the fort. The ferry ride was nice too. Plenty of places to sit in the shade and still see all around.

Well worth it. The guides were very passionate about history and getting out on the water to see the fort and surrounding islands was super cool! Price was right. We also saw dolphins on our journey. There is no bathroom on the fort so make sure you use it while on the ferry. Also a museum and gift shop.

I recommend calling ahead to make sure there is no school group booked when you are planning to go because they may be very loud and unruly (at least it was in my experience). Also, the ranger cannot give the regular tour speech and you will end up missing some interesting facts.

We visited this place by ferry and the volunteer was very nice and informative. They explained very well the history of the fort. In the fort you have old Canon and ammunition to see and also some unexploded bombs stuck in the walls (still there) of the fort. Once you are there, you can feel the emotions and spirit of the braves. Highly recommend

Awesome place to visit when you are in Charleston area. Rice history and great collection of stories, war artifacts in the museum. Scenic ferry ride and great view from the Fort.

Fort Sumter was a great experience and would recommend to anyone interested in American History. Remember to book your ferry tickets in advance, I chose the ferry that left from Liberty Square since it had move available time slots. If you take the first ferry of the day you get to experience the flag raising ceremony at the Fort itself which was cool. When on the ferry to the Fort, if the day is nice I would recommend sitting on the upper deck it has the better views of the harbor.

We had a great time at Fort Sumter and on the ferry ride to and from the fort! The ferry ride is about 30 minutes each way and you get to spend an hour at the fort. The fort has a museum and a small gift shop. The park rangers are very knowledgeable and friendly. They will answer questions you may have and they ask you questions sometimes.

I had a great time exploring the U.S.S. Yorktown! I decided to add the Captain’s Tour to my tour experience and it was well worth it. My tour guide, Dan Bommarito, did a fantastic job making the tour entertaining, enlightening and all around more enjoyable for everyone in the group. As a marine, it was great to hear about the history of the ship from the perspective of a fellow Devil Dog. I look forward to taking my kids next time I go!

We visited both the Yorktown and the fort Sumter exhibits during our 1-day visit. It is reasonable to visit both in the same day if you get an early start, like by 10am. The ferry took us to Ft Sumpter and we stayed just about an hour there. At the fort there was no food drink or bathrooms, but the ferry had those on board. It was well worth the trip. After returning, we took in the Yorktown. It was well worth worth the 3 hours that we spent on board. We did not do a guided tour but we were able to see all the placards and got a good sense of the ship. Just be aware that there are a lot of steps/ ladders involved, but I think if you're reasonably able to negotiate them you would have a good time.

My two boys and I had an amazing time visiting Patriots Point. We spent hours exploring the USS Yorktown and the USS Laffey. It was incredible to walk the decks and learn about the ships’ history and the brave crews who served aboard them. The exhibits were both educational and engaging, and my kids were fascinated by all the interactive displays and aircraft. We also really enjoyed the Medal of Honor Museum. It was a powerful and inspiring experience that gave us a deeper appreciation for the heroes who have served our country. Overall, Patriots Point is a must-visit for families who love history and hands-on learning. It was the perfect mix of fun and education, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

A Great Family Outing! This is a fantastic place to visit with the family. Be prepared for plenty of walking and several steps throughout the ship — but that's all part of the experience. One highlight was the impressive Vietnam War dedication area, which was both educational and engaging for the kids. A meaningful and memorable visit for all ages!

This place was amazing! We took the ferry to Fort Sumtner and toured both the ships. My kids loved seeing the planes and helicopters on the air craft carrier. We spent about 4 hours total here and even saw some dolphins hanging out right next to the ships

A Must Visit Place in Charleston ! So many artifacts alongwith the history associated with it. Few points to note :- 1. Ready to climb so many stairs, so wear good shoes. 2. From ticket counter to Ship, you can get a free ride in shuttle service.

Beautiful designed bridge that connects Charleston to Mt. Pleasant. There’s a walk path that goes the length of the bridge. Best part is no toll.

Brilliant design which stands out in the distance of the Charleston skyline. However, what makes this bridge really unique is the public footpath for walking, running and cycling. Well worth a jog over.

I once drove our public school bus across the old Cooper River bridge to deposit it in Mount Pleasant for the summer, from Summerville - I was in the 11th grade! Times have changed, and so has the bridge. Both are beautiful in their own way!

An interesting and beautiful walk. For much of it, because you don't see the piers and you sense some movement due to traffic, it feels like you are walking on a floating concrete path.

Great bridge walk, run, ride. Only entered from the north side. Lots of free parking underneath. Supposed to be walkers one one lane, bikes in other. Lots of people have problems with that concept.

We really enjoyed our visit! The 1.6-mile hike was beautiful, surrounded by cypress trees at every turn. We considered the boat rides, which looked amazing, but opted for the paved trail instead. The path eventually turns to gravel, but it was still stroller-friendly. At the entrance, there’s a nice play area for kids and toddlers to burn off some energy. After purchasing tickets, we didn’t need to show them again. The entrance area also has a small gift shop, bathrooms, a butterfly room, a reptile room, and more. We spent about two hours here and had a great time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (A million stars if I could!) Cypress Gardens was absolutely breathtaking! From the moment we arrived, the views felt straight out of a movie. The massive cypress trees reflecting in the still water created the most peaceful, magical backdrop for the wedding. The row boats were such a fun touch — gliding through the water surrounded by nature made for an unforgettable experience. The event space was clean, spacious, and perfect for a beautiful, elegant setup. The staff was kind and accommodating, and every part of the venue—from the butterfly house to the gardens to the boardwalk—was picture-perfect. If you’re looking for a venue that combines Southern charm, natural beauty, and a truly unique atmosphere, this is it. 10/10 recommend Cypress Gardens for any special event — it’s a hidden gem that deserves a million stars!

This is a really cool place, being worth every penny. The 1.6-mile hike was beautiful with cypress trees at every corner; we even spotted a small-sized alligator swimming near the trail. We wanted to go on a boat, but we were too late, so come early if you want to go on a boat. At the entrance area there is a gift shop, a butterfly garden, an alligator enclosure, a building with some aquariums and terrariums with fish and reptiles, and a tropical bird exhibit. I would recommend this place.

This was our second visit to the Cypress Gardens and it was wonderful. The facilities and grounds are beautiful and maintained nicely. To me, for a family, this is a great day trip with just enough to do to never get bored, but also not so overwhelming that you feel you have to skip activities. Additionally, plenty of areas to bring your own food in and have a picnic, surrounded by beautiful scenery (but please, clean up after yourself!) The playground is very nice for most ages and the added splash pad looks adorable (though we did not use this time). We love to walk the trails and then end on a visit to the butterfly house and the serpentarium. I will say, we have never taken a boat out; on our first visit, it was rainy and my daughter didn't feel up to it. This time, the boats were booked up with a 3 hour wait, though they did tell us at the entrance before paying which was very helpful on their part. We did expect this though as it was Labor Day and we were sure they'd be packed. All this to say, SC is gorgeous and Cypress Gardens does terrific job of showcasing its natural beauty!

Was a very nice place. Paid $25 for two people. We got in instantly and looked at all of the enclosures. Butterfly exhibit was out favorite. We didn't have to wait long for the boat tour. Maybe 1hr at the latest. And in the meant of waiting, we walked around the swamp to the wedding gazebo. Very beautiful place. It was raining sadly, but it was still beautiful nonetheless.

I really hate to do this review, because I feel like I've found a true hidden gem. The price to enter is from the 1980's and I loved it. The amount of time you can spend here is immeasurable. It is the perfect destination for families. There is a butterfly house, a reptile house (hosting everything from snakes to fish to lizards and turtles), endless walking trails, a large playground, a new splash pad, rowboats for a swamp tour, and more. There are plenty of spaces to duck inside and "cool off" in the air conditioning. The staff is considerate and friendly. The sights and wildlife is amazing. I really don't have anything negative to say. I only wish we had more time in the day to explore.

Make sure you arrive early if you want to do the rowboats. The paid boats were sold out by 12:30 so we put our name on the list for the free self guided ones. We were told it would probably take ~5 hours to get to the front of the list from spot 60. A lot of people must have canceled because we managed to get on the very last boat after waiting 3 hours. The staff by the rowboats was amazing and helped keep spirits high! Dickie was really great - he was friendly and patient. He answered all of our questions. My number one birthday wish was riding in a rowboat and they made it happen. The rowboat was by far my favorite part of Cypress Gardens, but I loved walking around the swamp and the butterfly gardens as well. The reptile exhibit had a lot of cool animals.

My fiance and I decided to come for a visit and take the 11:30 tour. Entry to the gardens is free and the tour is only $5 per person. The tour gives you the history of the plantation and area and also the church of the Abbey. We got to experience a 10 minute service which was a very unique experience. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and it was very peaceful. They had a reconciliation garden that was very well done that I believe is newer. The gift shop also had a lot of really cool things and when we got there we found out they were doing a plant sale of different vegetables and trees. We would definitely visit again!

Did my first retreat at Mepkin this weekend. I was a little hesitant as I am not religious in any way but was drawn to the guided retreat about dreams. I felt incredibly welcomed. The retreat center was beautiful. The land magical. I found such peace; connection; stillness and inner clarity. Looking forward to returning for a personal retreat in the future. Thank you for all who have made this beautiful Abbey a place for all who is looking for some peace

Mepkin Abby is a gorgeous place to visit. Be sure to go for the 11am tour if you want to see the Abby. There is only one tour daily. If you miss the tour, visit the gift shop and explore the property, it is simply beautiful.

Mepkin Abbey is where nature and faith meet: ancient oaks, wooden sculptures carved from storm-fallen trees, golden wildflowers, and a meditative labyrinth. A must-visit near Charleston.

Serenity…. This place is pure serenity. The mushrooms are divine (literally) and the flowers and gardens are so peaceful and beautiful. And you don’t have to be religious to appreciate it. I am an agnostic and love it. Gift shop is really nice too! But get the mushrooms!

Today I visited Mepkin Abbey, a real and active Roman Catholic Monastery. This is where Moncks Corner gets it's name. It's on the Cooper River in the Charleston Metro area. It has beautiful live oaks; flowers; sculptures and river views. Enjoy the photos. I can't wait to bring my children here.

Great experience. The two flying demos allowed us to be so close to 8 birds from all over the world. The burrowing owl demo in particular was very impressive. They had a tunnel structure built into the amphitheater that showed off how they behave in their natural habitat. My family spent an hour walking the grounds and seeing the unreleasable birds they have on display. I have not seen this variety of birds at any other facility. AThe staff were very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend visiting the Center for Birds of Prey to anyone, whether they are a bird enthusiast or a family that just wants to learn something new. All proceeds go to supporting the Center and the medical and rehabilitation facility that is associated with it.

What a perfect way to spend a day outdoors. We were able to see the raptors up close, take pictures and ask questions before the flying exercise started. When these large birds flew around the audience, it was such an exciting experience. The staff is so informative, friendly and patient while answering all of our questions. The young children there had tons of questions, so a visit to the center is a great learning experience for children (and us adults).

I would highly recommend a day at the Birds of Prey. The presentations were excellent, we learned so much, and seeing the birds up close was amazing. Everyone was friendly and eager to share information .

We bought the tickets online, there’s no building to go to so as we left the car, they simply checked to see who paid online and we immediately said hello to a bird who is the size of a dove but eats her own body weight worth of another bird! Be sure to walk around the enclosures and check out the flight demonstrations. They have a gift shop by the parking lot.

What an amazing day! Up close experiences with birds of prey and incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. We spent the entire day here, and weren’t bored once. The work this company does is absolutely amazing, and their love for birds was apparent.

My wife and I took our Granddaughter to the Center for Birds of Prey for a Saturday show and tour. What an amazing place! We thoroughly enjoyed everything, these volunteers have a true passion for this place and it shows! Plan to return soon!

My husband and I had a great time exploring the trails and looking for wildlife. The trails are well maintained and mostly shaded. The beautiful cypress trees were especially awesome! Be sure to bring plenty of water when exploring the park. Most of the facilities are located near the parking area which is quite a ways from some areas of the park.

We had a great time visiting even though it was hot. The museum was small, but very educational and the interpretive center had quite a few videos to choose from with different historical topics about the area. We requested a tour of the house, which was lived in until the 80's so was modernized, but it was cool to see. There were 8 rooms and a hall and it was cool to see a tastefully modernized historical home. We decided to take the trails and make a big loop. The trails are fairly well kept and easy to follow. They were very peaceful and we had a really nice time. We'll be back to check out Fort Fairlawn and rent canoes for a different view of the canal.

Well marked nature trails and boardwalks with slight hills, an interpretive center, lots of lowcountry wildlife, and an 1800s house. It's a nice way for an outdoors enthusiast to spend the day!

A little hidden gem tucked away in Moncks Corner. We found it accidentally during covid times when we were going stir crazy and needed to get away without going too far from home. At first we only knew about their walking trails. They're really fun and have varying levels of style. They are part gravel, boardwalk and ground. The majority of the paths are wider but there is a stretch where you actually have an incline and a very narrow path. Fun for younger kids that need a little bit of a challenge. There's a museum as well that we actually didn't know about until a couple years later because when we originally started going only the trails were open. Fast forward to today and we realized there was a trail that we had no idea existed!! It's just left of their museum. It's got several trails to choose from Mostly flat, gravel, about 3 to 4 feet (ish) wide for almost the entire trail. There are some benches for breaks. Historical signs ti yell you little about the trail you're walking. There isn't much beyond the nature around you as far as what they're is to see, but if you want to go on a nice stroll it's a great path. We did see deer, a small turtle and some birds. Mostly shaded, the very beginning and end of the path have the least shade but everything else is pretty much shaded. Not much of a breeze, which on the paths on the opposite side might be more likely as they are along the river... and then there are some more interior along the swamp area that don't really get any. So summer time can be a scorcher and if you don't tolerate heat the fall/ spring/ winter might be more comfortable.

A beautiful park that is worth the visit. All the trails are clearly marked making for a great walk or hike!

We, incl our pup, love this park. It has several trails and although kinda short, if you do them all, it can take about an hour. They just put new benches up and cleaned up the trails :-) The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we think it's a little pricey. You pay per person not by car like other parks.

My sister and I brought our niece for her 15th birthday present and we all had so much fun! Upon arriving, the front desk worker Sydney was very friendly. She let us know we could go see the farm animals, play yard games and hang out until it was our time to Zipline. The animals were well taken care of and super sweet. They had music playing throughout the property. They do have bathrooms and they were very clean. Due to being in the middle of the woods, they are on a well so keep that in mind (water can smell bad sometimes). Our guides were short Abby & Max. If you are able to get them, you’re in for 2 hours of fun & jokes including tree puns. From the beginning, they were very informative & along the way made sure we were comfortable and had fun. We highly recommend this experience! It’s a hidden treasure in the Charleston area. Don’t forget to look for Johnny & Charlotte…RIP

I honestly had a blast for the first time ever doing Ziplining. Tyson and Ava were amazing and some of the funniest people I have met, they were well trained and always care about our safety no matter what! If I can come back I will check this place out. If they see this I think if they did like a haunting zip line night one time would be fantastic! I'm also from out of state on vacation so I'm glad I found this 😁

Our experience at Charleston Zipline was fantastic!  We hosted our seven-year-old's birthday there, 20 kids in attendance!  Kerry and her team put out all the stops to ensure that the party ran smoothly.  The weather, along with an accident on 17, created some delays for our group….but their team had it under control with accommodating the late arrivals. We felt at ease, as their team ensured all children new to zip lining felt comfortable and safe. And most importantly - have fun!  All the families in attendance commented on "how cool" this place was and "what a perfect place for a birthday party".  Our daughter had a blast along with her friends, and Mom and Dad high-fived.  Highly recommend for parties, day adventures, or field trips.

Decided to go zip lining as a day date with my wife, sort of to do something without the kids away from the house. We have a 2yo and twin girls under a yo so going out to do something fun like this together is always a challenge. It was our first time, we both enjoyed the experience including the corny dad jokes and puns by our fantastic guides Abby and Ava…I’m mean Brooke and what’s her face?! Haha thoroughly entertaining, we’re definitely coming back, maybe to rock climb or to blacksmith and maybe show our kids the animals they have.

My friend and I went ziplining in Charleston, and even though the weather was less than ideal, we had an absolute blast! Scott and Abby were amazing… so fun, personable, and enthusiastic. They made the experience even better and really added to the adventure. Highly recommend this ziplining experience to anyone visiting Charleston!

I can honestly say I didn't expect much from our ferry ride to Bulls Island, aside from a simple half-hour boat trip. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Captain Nick, along with his first mate, whose name I unfortunately can't recall, were absolutely fantastic. Nick's passion for his role was evident in every interaction; he genuinely cares about the people embarking on this journey to and from Bulls Island. His knowledge was remarkable—he shared fascinating insights about the diverse bird species we encountered, the changing tides, playful dolphins, and the unique shells scattered along the shoreline. It felt less like a typical ferry ride and more like an engaging adventure filled with learning. The way he conveyed information made it enjoyable and captivating. I wholeheartedly recommend Captain Nick as the ideal guide for anyone looking to explore the wonders of Bulls Island!

Excellent trip in every way!!! Captain Nick was professional, personable, and all around awesome. It was a very small group that went out, eight of us total, which made it easy to enjoy the remoteness of the island. Trails were well marked. They had benches placed sporadically so you could sit and take a quick break if you needed to like I did. Coming back, we had to duck between storm cells and Captain Nick did so with great expertise. We had total trust in him. I definitely recommend going to Bull's Island and highly recommend Coastal Expeditions who run the ferry. We are definitely going to check out some of the other tours they run!

Great day out on Bulls Island. The guides are knowledgeable and generous; especially patient with my kids peppering them with questions. Half a day would be tough to squeeze all the things in, but a full day was a bit much for us. A 2pm return would’ve been perfect, but alas, we made the most of it and ended up hiking 8+ miles and seeing LOTS of wildlife.

Beautiful area with plenty of parking. The pier was well kept and clean. Lots of boats going in and out making it feel comfortable. Lots of wildlife and saw some dolphins.

My wife and I went on the 12:00 ferry ride. We wish we did the 9:00 and stayed the whole day. The boat captain was super knowledgeable and very nice! Not just a tour guide but an actual biologist. We saw a few pods of dolphins and tons of different types of birds, the island itself was beautiful! I hate to review this place only because so much of its special beauty is because it is so private and peaceful.

Had a great time, our Captain and 1st mate were awesome. We were treated to an amazing day at Bulls Island. We will definitely do this again, but I think more in the spring. I can't think of anything else they could have done to make it better. They really knocked out of the park.

Our captain and naturalist was awesome! His knowledge of the bird life, environment and history of the island left no question unanswered. Humor thrown in at no charge! This place can't be beat for seeing nature as untouched as anywhere in the United States! Summer is hot, have realistic expectations, some bugs, not as many as we expected. Humidity was not overwhelming and this is the middle of summer. Totally worth the beach walk in the breeze!

Very beautiful location. If visiting in Spring/Summer - bring bug spray as mosquitoes are gigantic and prolific! This is technically a State Park, tours in the house are $10 per adult and $5 per child. We enjoyed the house tour and the guides do a wonderful jon explaining the history a d family of the house. Excellent demonstration of the old rice plantations of the area. Be sure to see the George Washington tree!

I love this location. It is never crowded that I have seen. There is a visitors center and house tours at cost. To walk the grounds it is free. "Washington's Oak" is here. The only negative I can report is the mosquitos! They are voracious!

I love the low country so much that I want to immerse myself into all its history. The visitor center was closed when we were there, so we did the self guided tour. Bring insect repellent because the skeeters are ravenous. See if you can find the connection with George Washington.

I wish I could tell you all about it but the mosquitoes were so bad you couldn't stay out of your car for more than 5 minutes. So we saw very little of the site.

Definitely take the house tour! The park rangers are a wealth of information! We'll worth going!

Hopsewee Plantation is a must-see for anyone interested in American history, architecture, or Southern culture. The blend of historical narrative, natural beauty, and warm hospitality makes it a standout spot. Whether you’re a local or a visitor , a trip to Hopsewee offers a memorable and meaningful window into the past. We took the morning tour and had a wonderful and informative time with the docent. The woodwork detail in the house is amazing! So much history here. The house was well situated. I didn't know there was such a nice bluff situated on the North Santee River. We toured the museum to see the artifacts. Lunch at the Cottage was intimate and very delicious! We're certainly retuning soon! The Tea Room evoked many good memories of southern Tea Rooms elsewhere.

A charming tea room with an amazing menu. My husband had the mint lemonade. He stated it was too sweet. We had the Southern sample dish. Ample servings of Pirleau, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and pulled pork. We also had a cup of the GinGin soup. We were not impressed with the soup since we feel it was too bland. Service staff was grand. Historical tour was one of the best we have experienced. We learned so much! The docent's compassionate explanation of slavery was outstanding. Yancy McLeod is the historian. The museum was well worth the additional fee.

With family visiting from Oklahoma and Georgia, I had to share the magic of Hopsewee! It did not disappoint! My 9 year old granddaughter was mesmerized by docent, Linda. She tailored the history of Hopsewee to her understanding and my granddaughter was so intrigued with the legacy of Thomas Lynch! Deb welcomed us with such wonderful hospitality and attentively addressed our every wished as we dined on the exquisite cuisine ! Hopsewee is a must in time travel!

My friend and I had a great time. We spent an afternoon enjoying the Tea Service at Hopsewee Plantation. This experience included our choice of flavorful brewed hot teas along with scones, sandwiches, and other tasty treats. Everything was plentiful and delicious. The staff provided exceptional customer service. A true bonus was the beautiful setting overlooking the Santee River.

My husband and I have been visiting Hopswee for many years and still look forward to returning when in the area. The tea room is charming and food good, very southern. Great staff and friendly. The ambiance is wonderful and soothing where your made to feel at home. The house tour is a must if you have any interest in history and older homes. And definitely go through the museum , which contains many diaromas of life in the 1800s. Instead of denying how the plantation worked in the 1800s, the Beatties have embraced the past with careful archeological studies to acknowledge those who worked and lived on the property. Very educational . Hopsewee Plantation is full of history where visitors are welcomed with southern hospitality .

Not advertised but great for a walk. You might be lucky and see an alligator. This boardwalk starts at the start of downtown and runs through at the end of downtown keeping the still mill on the right and the island on the front.

Historical place with a lot to lean about rice and those who worked the fields. Tour is 1 hour long and you can easily spend another hour exploring the museum.

The staff was wonderful. Kind, interesting and very knowledgeable. The museum store is loaded with great items from local artisans. The museum itself was fascinating. We learned so much, helped by our guy who made it fun as well. It's a must do when visiting Georgetown.

This museum is so informative and Ms. Lorretta was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and passionate. This museum isn't just about rice but the role the crop played in the culture and the story of the enslaved people that were responsible for doing the work that made rice the staple that it is. I strongly suggest you come and learn this history for yourselves. FYI if you don't want to wait, they do tours on the hour.

We toured the rice museum to hear about the history of the rice production. The young lady who did the tour talked more about slavery and how “her people” were treated than the actual rice production. Disappointing. $72 for my group to see it and all of us were disappointed. We waited from 2:15 til 3:00 for the next tour and were told it would be approx 45 minutes to an hour. I walked out after being there about 1 hour and 15 mins because it had turned to a discussion about the life experiences of the tour guide because of her skin color instead of being about the rice production.

We drove down from Myrtle Beach today to see the rice museum. Our tour person's name was Miss Jackie and she did a wonderful job. This was a well-spent hour and a half. To learn so much about the history of the rice industry, the plantations, the workers, the true history behind the plantations. The history of how rice affected this community and then how after the rice crop panned out how it changed. History here. Definitely well spent time. You really need to come see this and experience it.

Excellent display of artifacts and history. However, we had an awful tour guide for the day. During our 45 minute tour, we began with a quick escort to the third floor of the house, where four of us individually sat and watched an informative outdated video on DVD regarding the local history of rice and slave plantations around Georgetown. This ultimately lead to the history of the Rice Museum towards the end. After the video, our tour guide scooped us up and left us alone on the second floor of the building. I had questions regarding several artifacts, including a blue uniform in frame, and were told several times by the tour guide "I'm not quite sure about that one". When the guide was passing through, we were unable to stop for photos and were consistently told to keep moving throughout specific areas. I also explained the history and significance of the Old Kings Highway (Hwy 17) to the guide and others, as the guide had no understanding of the artifacts or local history once they had mentioned they were recently working at the museum from the New Hampshire area. Somewhat shameful as a local visitor with a better understanding of the local history and culture. I believe several artifacts deserved much better preservation as they sit along the floor of the Rice Museum. These are original artifacts and signs which may have been taken down over the years to sit along the floor, while "Rebel Generals" continue to sit along the hanging walls with uniforms. A significant lack of empathy of the museum to the outside world as they discuss the local culture and history within the low country and both ends of the spectrum. Along with an educated lead and preservation of this location, I believe the Rice House has many hidden treasures and much potential with the history to appeal to the public from around the world. As a significant landmark within the present day United States, I enjoyed the visit and history of Georgetown.

After watching YouTube videos on this area and The Rice Museum, we are so grateful we were able to come and visit, experience everything the museum had to offer, look at the beautiful art work displayed, and lastly take a tour of the museum lead by Vinny. She is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated to ensuring people understand the history related to this area. This museum and tour are a must see.

A fantastic historical gem I found and apparently it has been here all along and I have been vacationing on the SC coast all my life and I am in my 50's! I absolutely love history like this. The houses (both of them) are beautiful and the guide we had (Jeannie) was very informative. She told us all about the Baruch family and then answered any questions our group had. I highly recommend going to this place!

Do not miss this fabulous tour! So much history. We had an incredible tour guide, Jeanne. She drove us around the property and was so knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the touring the mansion.

Loved the tour. The history, the ecology, and the environmental impact of the land--so awesome! I had no knowledge of any of the impact of this beautiful place but now it's become close to my heart and left me craving more education.

It was a great place to visit The tour was informative, entertaining, insightful and well worth the time and money spent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to take others to see it. Be sure to take the bus tour to see and hear some great stories by a knowledgeable and interesting guide.

Must see! Learn so much that I did not know about the old rice plantations, saw some of the slave quarters, saw the home built by the family who took over the property. An excellent tour guide brought us around the property and told us all about the history.

We took the two-hour tour. Everyone we encountered were quite welcoming and appreciative of our visit. The staff was mostly volunteer. The property gave a excellent historical perspective on the area. The story of the family that owned the property was also interesting. The property was visited multiple times by Winston Churchill and was also visited by presidents and other important people of the day. It was also interesting to see how the african american workers lived. The tour and visit took about 2 1/2 hours. I recommend this tour.

Very nice piece of history you can walk through. Both times we visited there was an occasional room you couldn't enter because they were repairing or restoring but you can still look inside. Each room has a plaque describing what the room was and how it was used along with other bits of facts and info along the way. Really clean and kept. Wasn't busy either time we visited, pretty much had the place to ourselves. There is a small gift shop with maps, shirts, toys and bottled water.

Really enjoyable. But, be aware although the fee for Atalaya is only a few bucks, you have to pay an entry fee to drive into the park. [I think it was around $15?] Walking to the beach behind Atalaya was especially enjoyable, like going back in time as if it were me that lived there years ago. Learning about the artist was fun too.

We truly enjoyed our quick trip exploring the castle while visiting Huntington State Park. The eldest in our group age 80+ enjoyed the stories and architecture. The youngest age 5 let his imagination soar. There are minimum to no handrails in the short stairways so if you're unsteady on stairs bring a friend or a cane. Lovely little gift shop on site. We will definitely be back for the craft festivities in March and September.

The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I think they were a little elusive on the website about the true cost. To make it clear, you have to pay the 8 dollars per person AND 2 dollars a person to get in to the castle. I'm not complaining about the cost because I believe that it's more than fair for all you have access to! If I knew that I was paying for access to the beach I would have brought my swimming shorts 😂. You also have access to a MASSIVE playground for the little ones. The castle is awesome! Truly amazing experience and I would highly recommend stopping by and bringing your swimsuit 🩲

A vacation home constructed between 1931 and 1933. The architecture is very odd and worth walking through. It's only $2 or something to enter so it's worth while." A unique blend of Spanish and Moorish architectural styles"

This is a great and very interesting place right in the middle of the state park. You may see a residence of well to do family during the Great Depression and a few years after the WW2. The structure still holds well and is a good lesson of the recent history.

South Carolina historical home. Unusual architecture. The building is open for the general public to view. There are self guided and guided tours available. The property sits within Hunting Island State Park.

Hands down one of our very favorite parts of our entire trip! We could have easily spent 3 days here. There is so much to see and admire. Had a few bug bites, so I would recommend bug spray before heading in, but all in all, amazing experience. There are plenty of benches to sit on and just soak up the peace of the grounds. Will definitely be returning!

This place was magical! We came specifically to see the ‘Live Oak Allée’, but got much more than we anticipated! The giant oaks were absolutely amazing and the rest of the gardens were beautiful as well! The staff that we encountered on our walk were very friendly and knowledgeable! They were setting up all their Christmas lights while we were there, and it really made me want to fly back down just to see it, because it will be BREATHTAKING!

Beautiful gardens filled with sculptures. Can drive through most of the gardens. Some areas you will need to walk through. Comfortable, accessible pathways throughout the gardens. A few café spots for a quick bite. They are preparing the gardens for the winter holidays. The Iive oaks are magnificent!

Lovely gardens with so many statues to see. Beautiful sunny day to walk through the live oaks and fountains. Ponds with alligators and turtles are a sight to see. Walking paths are very easy to traverse. Will definitely go back.

As I plan my trip to Brookgreen Gardens for the Nights of a Thousand Candies, I realized that I had not left a review from last year's visit. If you are at all able to get to the Gardens during the Christmas season, you simply must at least once in your life. It's worth a day trip or even a nice weekend getaway. Stunning light displays, great music, and an atmosphere that emanates the Spirit of Christmas. Can't wait to go again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely breathtaking experience! Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet is truly one of the most beautiful places in South Carolina. The massive live oaks draped in Spanish moss create the most magical setting, and the gardens are filled with stunning sculptures and art at every turn. My children especially loved the zoo area — the otters and baby pups completely stole their hearts! We enjoyed it so much that we became members on the spot — totally worth it, since we plan to visit again and again. There’s also a fantastic farm-to-table restaurant on site that made our visit even more special. The food was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere matched the charm of the gardens perfectly. If you're in the area and don't go here, you're making a major mistake. Extensive gardens with gorgeous art and statues within. Great zoo section as well. Spent several hours exploring the incredible grounds.

This place is so beautiful. The sites are gorgeous and the one we got was very private (125). It is a little pricey but it is worth it; the staff are so friendly, the sites are well maintained and flat . The beach was gorgeous; there is a double red flag for swimming due to the offshore hurricane but the views were really pretty and so were the waves. The sand is so soft and white. We will definitely be returning.

There's an $8 per adult charge to enter and for a family of 4 ( 2 adults, a 1 year old and a 4 year old) it was $16, so not too bad. Very beautiful and well maintained place. The parking foe the beach access was very spacious. There's a large playground area near the beach access as well for the kids. A very nice clean beach here as well. We will probably use this area again in the future when we are in the area.

We stayed in our camper in the North campground for a week in August 2025. The campground was well maintained, with clean restrooms and showers. The camp store had a few RV supplies, lots of souvenirs, ice, firewood, and an ice cream chest. The paid public access area has its own ice cream shop called Spoonbill's and they serve Wholly Cow ice cream in healthy portions! It was delicious! We used beach access 6 from the north campground and it was really nice, with a wide concrete sidewalk and a really great rinse station for leaving the sand behind when you come back into the campground. The park rangers offer a lot of scheduled activities for the kids, and we also enjoyed a guided tour of Atalaya for $2/person (can't beat that!) All in all, I'd say this is a pretty great place to camp or day trip. Kudos to the rangers and store staff for being so awesome and accommodating!

This is my favorite beach in SC. Love that it also has camping, nature trails and the path to see wild birds and alligators. Also has a great ice cream shop and a terrific gift shop. Oh, and I can't forget to recommend the tour of Atalaya's castle! So much to do here! Make sure you make time to relax on the beach!

Beautiful beach area. Enjoyed the self guided tour of Atalaya. Friendly staff member working at the gift shop had some interesting historical information he shared with us. It would be nice to see photos of what it looked like while the Huntington's lived there, its sort of hard to imagine and looks rather institutional in its current state. Very interesting state park.

This was a cool place! The beach was clean and beautiful. The wildlife was beautiful! We saw alligators, spoonbills, herons and more. I look forward to returning.

This is only a review of the north beach. In early August, I arrived around 13:00, and it was low tide. There was a wide stretch of sand. The water was warm. The weather was great. If you walk about a mile north, there is a jetty. The beach felt very clean because there were no kelp or shells strewn around. I didn't see many trash cans, but it seems like people here respect nature well. To enter the park, you pay admission per person. Adults are $8. There are plenty of parking lots around. At the north parking lot, there was a bathroom and water refill station. There was even a covered area with picnic tables. I wish I had more time here. They offer daily activities/tours. I would be interested to see and learn more about alligators!

Good place to walk have a bite to eat and a drink.

Basically a boardwalk with restaurants & bars. I expected it to be focused more on the marsh, nature, wildlife, history, etc.

The view always takes my breath away. Tranquil. A great place to spend the afternoon or day to sit back and relax. Great food and drink from many different eateries. Live music and people. I always enjoy my time there. A must see.

Amazing place for an evening walk and. dinner

Definitely my favorite pier near Myrtle Beach. They have your usual fishing rods you can rent out. They are affordable and they even sell bait. Be prepared to see a decent bit of sharks. One of the best things about this pier is the wide variety of options. They serve food, have an arcade, sell alcoholic beverages, and host live music on the weekends (typically). It’s diverse for any occasion, whether it’s a date night, family outing, or simply some solitude. Obviously it’s a lot more popular during the summertime (warm months) as opposed to the winter season. It’s still a beautiful view all year round. And my favorite spot to watch the sunset.

This pier is great for fishing. The live music is great. The drunks don’t really bother you. They just listen to the music and dance. Once the band and the bar close for the night, it is very quiet. We caught some great fish, a couple of nice sized sharks, and even a hammerhead.

I always have to make a trip to this pier when I am nearby. My husband and I vacationed many summers in Garden City. The pier was one of the highlights of our trip each year.

Love this pier! I love that they have a music venue at both ends and at each they have a spot you can get good drinks as well. They have an arcade for the kids and a fishing store for anyone who wants bait or to buy a license for the day. In the fishing area they have snacks and souvenirs. They have an area next to the arcade where you can get ice cream, and outside you can get gelato. They have a small restaurant that you can get hotdogs and hamburgers and a few other options for dinner/lunch. They even have a place you can get your hair braided. It has a little bit of everything. It has a pretty view during the day and an even better one at night with the lights over the ocean. I wish the Surfside pier was the same but sadly it only has a gazebo and ice cream.

We always love the garden city pier! There is a big arcade, a snack bar, snow cones, and of course the long walk out, the people fishing, and the beautiful view! We bought tshirts in the gift shop, and the walk out was free.

The staff was friendly and attentive considering their young age. A little run down as far as painting but water was clean and we had a lot of fun especially in the lazy river. Wasn't too crowded most week days

Went for the day during vacation. Kids had a blast from start to finish. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The line for food was crazy but if you need a break from the sun it works out well. Prices are very reasonable. Bought a couple pairs of flip flops and some sunglasses and they were not only great quality but very reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed the lazy river😉 If you're looking for a family friendly activity in SC, this is it.

Great place. We to free ticket from our hotel. Looked at the prices and I was shocked. Very expensive. In my opinion not so worth it. But could be fun to go as a family experience. Water sounds are big but have height rules some follow some don't. My 5 yr old rode one of the tallest slides I'll post pics. Pretty good day. But was worn out after 3 hrs.

So much fun! Lazy river is wide and long with lots of water features to cool you off. Plenty of fun slides to ride and a wave pool. Two separate sections for little ones, a lagoon with waterfalls and slides and a kiddie pool with slides and water features. Food options everywhere along with accomodations for anyone needing a shade or last minute suit. Love WW&W!!!!

I got tickets online. Print them out at the house. Made it really easy to get in. Have locker and cabana rentals. Big waterpark with gocarts, mini golf, bumper boats. Good place for the family. Take sunblock and be ready to climb some steps. Lol.

We got to enjoy the water park for free through our hotel package! We had a lot of fun and they have a pool of red eared sliders! They’re huge and they all swim to where you are because you get to feed them! Great place to relax, I recommend you try “The Dark Hole” it was fast and scary in a good way aha! Going to mark this as one of the spots we visit every year when we come to the beach!

Nice place for the kids. The resort I stayed at gave us a code to use. We got free tickets for everyone that stayed with me....and it was for everyday we stayed in the resort. Very kids friendly place. Nice pools for toddlers also.

We love this theater. The staff are so nice. The entertainment is always well done and enjoyable. I've never had a bad seat. If I have one complaint, it's that the sound system needs updating. It is difficult at times to understand what they are saying on stage. (I don't have hearing problems) Not real clear. Volume wise, it's fine. It's in beautiful downtown Conway.

Wonderful theatre on main Street Conway. We love coming early and having dinner at a local eatery then enjoying a show. The staff and performers always always strive to put on the best show possible. We are season ticket holders and the most recent show, Tootsie, was hilarious. A perfect little theatre that produces quality shows, Bravo!

Just got home from the 3 pm Jeckyll and Hyde show. At first it was a little hard getting into the play. I had trouble hearing the actors talking behind the screen. But once the screen went up, I was hooked. Great singing, acting and costumes. The actor who played Dr. Jeckyll was so good and convincing as he tried to fight off Mr. Hyde. After the show, when the whole cast stood outside on the sidewalk, I didn’t know what to do. I took a few pictures and left. Next time I will know that it was my opportunity to say hi and thank them for their wonderful performance.

Altogether, my experience was positive. The theater’s new computer lighting scenery was cool and the production was very professional. Have from the NYC area, I have seen many Broadway Shows which makes me a good judge.

Love the shows there. However, we are Season Ticket holders and are disappointed. We were planning on attending Jekyll & Hyde this evening (9/5/2025). An illness made it impossible to attend. We called early in the day and tried to switch tickets for another date. We were told that because of a new policy, date switches were no longer being accepted. Luckily neighbors are using our tickets. We really wanted to see the show ourselves, but this brand new policy was adopted and made it impossible. In view of this, we may have second thoughts on purchasing any season tickets after this year. DISAPPOINTED.

An absolutely incredible operation, this theater was one of the best experiences I've had watching a musical. We saw Jeckyl & Hyde. The place is intimate, maybe only 200 - 300 seats on a main floor and a small balcony. All seats are good seats. I've never had such good seats to a theater show, coming from a larger city. The price was excellent, it was not much more than double the price of a movie. The snack bar sold little cups of things like M&Ms, Chocolate Raisins, Mixed Nuts, etc for just $2, and a beer was $4, Sangria wad just $7! With the price of movie theater snack bars the total cost to attend this show eas about in par with a film. The show was outstanding. The set was very well designed and built, professional lighting and sound. No orchestra, the music was recorded, but the acting was outstanding and the singing was excellent. The set had a lot of modern, digital elements along with well designed and thought out costumes, background and props. The cast was accessible- after the show they ran out front and stood to shake hands with and engage with the audience - something you don't see in larger operations. I can't say enough positive things about this place. The whole operation was impressive, entertaining. You can see clearly that every aspect is done by people who love their work and are passionate about it. Bravo! A real A+ experience through and through. We will be back! Thank you for such a memorable and entertaining evening.

We saw our first show this evening..Waitress...it was so good!!!! We laughed for two hours. First time to visit the venue and we plan to return! Clean.. nostalgic. It's awesome Conway has this and it's still open. Small inside so don't hesitate to buy tickets for a show if you want to go. Wish they had an area for more refreshments and snacks..like 🍿 popcorn!!

Beautiful spot for a jog, or a relaxing walk. The river is gorgeous day or night! We saw fish, turtles, and heard lots of birds here. The walk itself is on a nice boardwalk and you can take a stroll through the sweet city of Conway after. There’s multiple restaurants within walking distance and lots of stops for pictures. There’s plenty of parking and even a nice farmers market (check when it’s open). It’s a really great spot to meditate and take a rest for your mind. We also found some painted rocks which was exciting!

We went for the Halloween Market. The decorations were fantastic. The town was decorated with beautiful lights, pumpkins and several huge scary animated monsters, skeletons etc. Our only disappointment was there was zero to very little traffic control. The crowds were huge and traffic was majorly snarled both in town and leading up to it. Maybe this slows down after the initial weekend. The Market was festive but I expected more vendors and food trucks. ( Unless I missed another lot of vendors). One question was why did all restaurants stop seating at the same time? This left many hungry attendees with no choices as most eateries (except bars) were closed for the event. The ones that were open had very long wait times. In excess of 2 hours. Overall it was a great event which happened to be hugely attended on Saturday eve.

This was a beautifully done walkway. It was very peaceful, but there were a lot of shops and dining nearby. Please check the retail hours online before you go if you want to combine shopping with your walk.

October 1st started Halloween Town. Definitely worth the trip. We njoyed everyone's hospitality and kindness. I would LOVE to live in Conway historic community but never a house to buy. (The ladies at City Hall treated us with epic kindness) Cute Halloween decorations in court room!!! We loved it.

Gorgeous area. Conway is truly the hidden gem of Horry County. So many people come to visit Myrtle Beach each year and never make it up here to this beautiful little town. The Riverwalk is a peaceful, well-maintained space to take a stroll right in the heart of downtown Conway's many shops and restaurants.

Great local history! Free entry, lots of exhibits that highlight the achievements of locals and really bring an insight into the lives of people throughout generations in Horry County. The kids love the fish tank and all the animal exhibits. The fish tank was featured in "Tanked" which is really cool to see right when you enter.

Such a cool place. My grandfather love going to this place and seeing all of the history! The fish tank is amazing! No entirety fee, but they do take donations! They also have an elevator if you have a hard time climbing stairs.

We're always looking for different things to do while on vacation. Conway is a cute little town and the museum was a nice find. Lots of various exhibits, including the MB AFB information and closure, to be developed into Market Commons. The story of the Waccamaw Indians, and the development of the town. There is also a complimentary EV charger there which we utilized. The museum is free!

Excellent adventure! Dave as greeter and front desk staff member was full of answers for ALLl our questions. He was friendly, kind, and informative. He knows his museum and local history of Horry Co. very well!! He made us feel special- like we were friends- is very proud of the museum. The building is spacious, clean, very interesting and has lovely exhibits. The room with braille on the displays was a welcome help for my blind friend! This place is spacious, fun, and we visit often! We love and appreciate this place!! Thank you Dave and Horry Co!

We stopped by to work on some history and science standards. What better way to learn than to make it part of your everyday life!? We spent about 2 hours here looking at all the artifacts and talking about things. There are two floors and lots to look at! The restrooms are clean and we had fun learning about the people and environment we live in. We applied what we learned driving back through the marshlands and it was nice getting to see my kiddo make the connections and be excited about learning. Enjoy! 😁🙏

Good place to learn local and South Carolina history. Exhibits have so much variety, you are sure to find something interesting to read, look at, or learn about. It's free and took us about 2 hours to go through.
