Nature & Wildlife Areas
Spacious wildlife refuge offering swampy nature walks, a boardwalk & a tower in serene surroundings.
Lovely little walk, baby gators were everywhere. The sun almost melted my face into my skull, but seeing little dinosaurs so comfy in their zone, was awesome and worth it.
Laura F — Google review
No dogs allowed. Stroller friendly. Quick there and back maybe a mile? Large lookout tower!! We love going here, the boardwalk needs a little love from recent storms, but its not bad. Watch out for all kinds of wildlife! Alligators, snakes, frogs!
Mattison D — Google review
Great spot to visit for a quick walk, the boardwalk could use a little help with some boards, the watch tower was neat with great views.
Jamie M — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. We took our children and they enjoyed it too! We saw a snake (on the board walk) and a baby alligator. The picnic area was nice. Bathrooms needed cleaning though! A nice place to go for a short outing. We will definitely visit again.
Ginger L — Google review
Great time exploring this beautiful cypress swamp! It borders Moody AFB so we got a treat watching the jets overhead. Nice boardwalk back through the swamp to a tower where you can see the beautiful swamp They also have an education center which is great for kids. There were two buses of elementary school kids enjoying the park today
Debra — Google review
Beautiful place and an easy, family-friendly hike with some cool highlights along the way! The tower and boardwalk is the coolest part! You could walk the whole thing including climbing the tower in 30 minutes or fewer, but you could also spend a whole morning or afternoon just exploring , bird watching, nature observation including a gator sighting if you’re lucky! Plenty of shaded resting areas. My only gripe was a completely full trash can at the end and a few pieces of trash likely brought and left by an inconsiderate or inattentive guest just out of reach over the boardwalk rail. Please please pack it out and LEAVE NO TRACE!
Daniel V — Google review
It’s beautiful. Reminds me of the book “Where the Crawdads Sings.” In the middle of the trail it divides into two paths and the Fire Tower is on the left side . Earth is beautiful even in its ugliest forms.
M A — Google review
NO DOGS You do NEED a pass to be on the boardwalk, if you already have a fishing pass then it counts but if not you can pay just for a day pass that’s 15 dollars or a year for 30, if not you can get fined There is also a information center but not sure when they keep it open. Beautiful walk with little information signs along the way with benches if you need to rest The top of the tower did have many hornets flying about so be careful

I can’t say enough great things about Huddle House! Every time I visit, the experience is great. The MVP breakfast is my absolute favorite—I’ve ordered it multiple times, and it’s always cooked to perfection. From the fluffy pancakes to the crispy bacon, everything is fresh, delicious, and exactly what I crave. The service is also top-notch. Our server Whitney went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place with both amazing food and exceptional service, but Huddle House nails it every time. If you’re looking for a hearty meal and a warm atmosphere, this is the spot to go. Five stars all the way!
Brady O — Google review
Service received 0 stars. The food is usually good at this location however today it took a long time to arrive and was poorly prepared. Kitchen staff very slow, and one of the cooks was more concerned about keeping his pants rather than preparing the food. The table service was awful. The server waited on other customers arriving after us. No flat ware delivered with food. Had to ask server multiple times for items such as jelly, knife, and water. Then rang up wrong totals for meals. Server more interested in chatting than working.
Russ B — Google review
Great atmosphere here! The cook Al was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and made some delicious food. My sever Gracie was very warm and welcoming! Come here if you want some great food at a well-run and organized store!!!
Mark M — Google review
Once again, Ms. Kim took very good care of us. We're always happy when she's there because we know we're going to receive great service no matter what. We had to eat here once last time before heading back to Texas, and today's visit did not disappoint! The food and the coffee ☕️ were hot and fresh, and the orders were correct as always. Our only negative thing is that you all don't have a wheel chair to push us out after eating lol Ms. Kim, we're going to miss your smiling face and great customer service. I don't remember the other young ladies name, but she's just as welcoming and helpful even if she's not your server! Thank you, ladies, and to the cook!
Fileza H — Google review
Food is awesome, fresh and hot. Fast service, friendly staff. Giselle is the best.
Nguyen V — Google review
I’ve probably eaten in a half dozen different Huddle House restaurants and this one is by far the nicest one I’ve been in. It is not the typical counter with a single row of booths along the wall. Table seating for larger groups is available. TV’s are mounted on the walls for you to watch. The food was good, hot, and freshly prepared.
Ken — Google review
Gracie, our server at Huddle House, was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. She was quick to take our orders, offered great menu recommendations, and ensured that our food arrived promptly. Gracie went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and her positive attitude was infectious. It's clear that she takes pride in her work, and we couldn't have asked for a better server.
Ansley C — Google review
Sarah Manning has been such a great waitress. We did not have to ask for anything as if she read our minds on what we needed. She kept our drinks coming and her customer service was awesome. Thanks Sarah.

General Coffee State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
1,511-acre park with antique farm gear & a petting area plus cypress swamp, horse trails & camping.
This is a very nice state park. It is well maintained and peaceful and quiet place to spend the day. While much of the land area of the park is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, there is plenty to do and see. It is very kid friendly, especially with the farm animals here. It is a living farm with plants, chicken, goats, sheep and more. The museum by the lake has staff there to explain things. If they are not inside, they are outside in the farm area tending to the crops and animals. Visited in late march when the Cherokee Roses, Azaleas, Dogwoods and Wisteria were in full bloom. The boardwalk and trail behind the lake were still closed from the hurricane damage, but the close side of the lake was open with several families fishing. Lots of dragonflies and damselflies were seen flying around. It is definitely worth the trip to come here. GA state park admission fees are low (or use an annual pass)
B — Google review
Unfortunately, because of Hurricane Helene, this park has been almost totally obliterated. We visited last week and every trail and dock has been damaged and everything is blocked off and closed. Trees are down everywhere and it appears they are working hard to clear it, but I would estimate it will take months or possibly years to rebuild. For now, I would completely avoid this park until they can repair it.
Christy F — Google review
A lot of the park is closed down due to the hurricane last year and tornado damage. The farm and lake area, campground and one trail in back is open. Other than that, there is not much to see. Right now the confederate roses, dogwood, wisteria and azaleas are blooming. There are sheep, goats, chickens and roosters on the farm. I saw a horse in the distance. A small museum area had some snakes and small creatures indoors in aquariums.
Emptynesters T — Google review
Nice, quiet park. Well maintained. Spacious camping areas. Clean bathhouse. Friendly and helpful staff. A 4 acre lake to fish and boat in. Playgrounds for the kids. A farmstead with animals and small historical museum. Enjoyed our camping trip there.
Ashley R — Google review
It's one of our favorites, it's close to home and we've been going there for years. The kids love the farm. The staff is very friendly along with the fellow campers, easy to make new friends.
Dale A — Google review
Very pretty parking. We spent 1 night in the campground. Hosts were friendly. Restrooms were clean. We shared our site with one of the tortoises.
Laura G — Google review
Nice little park with a cute visitor center and helpful/cheerful staff. We had a small picnic near the little lake. Saw ducks, goats and hogs. The tobacco barn was very neat and 20 degrees cooler! Overall nice pit stop on our drive down 441 to FL.
Rich W — Google review
Really nice park that got hit hard by hurricane Helene, they are mending but you can still a lot of damage. The office and staff are very nice. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel and unless you scope out the spot before arrival we wouldn’t recommend coming in. The first campground is over a mile from the office so hard to look before you book. The camp sites have bbq pit, picnic table and fire ring and nice sized and mostly level but the pull thru turn can be tight for a bigger rig.

It was great. I've never been to a Winery before and I've always wanted to go until I did for my boyfriends high school reunion. I would so recommend people to come to Horse Creek Winery in Nashville, GA. I give it a 5 star.
Tai A — Google review
We were charged $150.00 for a 2 hour baby shower. We went over the 2 hour time by 15 mins. because we were cleaning up and paying the tabs...therefore we had to pay another $75.00 for another hour although there were no other customers waiting to be seated. Also, there are only 2 wine slushy flavors... peach and berry. The peach flavor ran out immediately after the shower began and wasn't even ready during the rest of the shower, therefore we only had the berry flavor... I seriously do not understand the upcharge for our services. Our server was very nice and apologized for having to charge us for an extra hour if we went over the 2 hour time by even 1 minute.. makes you wonder if they want repeat customers... maybe not????
Dianne R — Google review
As a past winery owner, this was a really nice small winery. They had several wines that they make in house, and some that they celler and bottle made elsewhere, but all were great. Do not miss one of their slushy, I had a peach wine slushy that was excellent.
Thomas M — Google review
Enjoyed our little tasting! Next time we come to this location we'll know to bring our own snacks! They don't serve ANY food or snacks here. Good wine though at a very good price for tasting!
Rene' D — Google review
Very hospitable people at both locations. They were very knowledgeable about the products that they were selling, and helped me find wines that I was giving out as gifts. I would recommend to anyone looking for a locally produced wine.
Blake B — Google review
Stopped by at recommendation from another business in Berrien County. Love the decor and customer service. Everything reasonably priced. Nice little tucked away treasure in Nashville, Ga

Reed Bingham State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Sprawling park with a 375-acre lake for fishing or kayaking, miniature golf course & a beach.
We had a great time camping and hiking. The park staff are wonderful and very helpful. The facilities were clean and well kept. The hiking trails are lovely and we saw lots of wildlife, birds, and flowers. Due to damage from hurricane Helene some of the trails were closed. We will absolutely be back to hike when they are fully restored.
Amy M — Google review
Really nice State Park with large sites. There are two campground loops. Either are very nice. There are nice trails that you can hike with beautiful scenery. The park Ranger there was so welcoming. We used this as an overnight stop, but are looking forward to going back. There’s a nice boat ramp, easy to launch kayaks or a small fishing boat. Ranger said the park is best known for alligators, gopher tortoises and vultures.
Ashley A — Google review
This park was fantastic! The walking/bike trails were awesome... Maybe a little upkeep is needed on the boardwalks, but absolutely lovely. The RV site was clean and level.... We plan to come back.
Paige C — Google review
My husband and I love to come here on the weekends. They have some great trails to run and the lake is beautiful. Most trails are not paved so look out for snakes.

Jo G — Google review
Park is beautiful however a bad case of roaches everywhere!! Was constantly checking everything before it came into our camper. Ran by younger crowd that seemed to not know what was going on as to gate pass after hour entry. Still the park is beautiful.

Magnolia Plantation Inc

Fantastic place for a multipurpose stop - gas, bathroom break, and shopping. The rest rooms smell good and they are extremely clean. Magnolia Plantation is the perfect place to pick up souvenirs and gifts. They offer a wide range of jams, hot sauces, nuts, candies, etc. The ladies working there are delightful. Excellent place for a break from the road.
Silver C — Google review
This is a must-stop location on our way to Florida. It's full of preserves, jams, marmalades, sauces, and syrups. A bunch of Florida themed t-shirts too. The gator heads are pretty neat to look at. If you have kids they might enjoy all the coloring books there. We got some apple cherry butter and strawberry rhubarb and are satisfied with the visit.
Michael K — Google review
I stop here for my most favorite hot sauce and jelly. They also have pecans, peanuts and peaches available. There is a shell gas station. The bathroom is large and clean and all stalls are extra large. This is a must to stop for a quick rest and souvenir and don't forget the hot sauce( Good and Evil).
Barbara H — Google review
They have VERY clean bathrooms! They have alot of neat nick knacks, souvenirs, salad dressings, salsas, syrups, marinades, snacks, James, and of COURSE lots of pecans!
Kristine K — Google review
If you have to stop anywhere in the area, stop here. There is a wide selection of jams, sauces, and souvenirs. Most importantly, the restrooms are very clean.
Rachel R — Google review
It's a great place to stop while traveling... The restrooms are clean and it's nice to just stretch your legs and shop. I really enjoy their Pecans... that's a must to buy! This last trip, I got some peach preserves which were very very tasty! They offer a lot of choices and some things were better than I expected and of course some things weren't as good as I thought it would be.... still all in all, it's worth the stop and fun to see all they have to offer. The gas station is right there too if you need to fill up!
Julianne T — Google review
20231210 This is one of the best Tourist Traps that I have ever been to. I found Magnolian Plantation on Google Maps and was surprised to see 20 billboards on this shop while driving here from Florida. Turned out, the owner also owns the billboard company. I was worried that they would add the billboard rentals to the pecan prices. I came here for Pecan treats, and they have what I was looking for based on photos posted by other Google Maps reviews. I didn't expect to find so many things... fried peanuts, praline pecans, pecan logs, hot sauce, peach jam, and even pork rinds. I walked out with about $190 of goodies. The young ladies working there are on the reserved side, but they were helpful when asked a question. It would have been nice if they were friendlier. They have public restrooms, and every stall in the ladies' room are handicap size!! So nice. The shoppers who used the restroom don't keep it clean, disappointing. I don't recommend getting gas at the Shell here, even though it's convenient. Gas is Sooooooo expensive!!!
Tilly L — Google review
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! The place smells like a musty old basement. Bathrooms are dirty. I used credit card on pumps and then pulled away. Two clerks came running after my car and claimed I was stealing gas. They called police. The gas pump had zeroed out the receipt and I paid inside. The prices of everything in store is outrageous. DO NOT STOP at this tourist trap! Lastly, I believe most of 5 star reviews are fake.

The absolute best (freshest) pecans I have ever tasted!!!! The store is well organized and well stocked! Huge variety of nuts and other goodies! The cashiers are friendly and eager to assist! I highly recommend giving this business a visit!

What a magnificent collage of jams and nuts of all sorts and varieties!! I attempt to stop in periodically when I am driving through Tifton to restock on favorites and try something new. Give it go!! A Taste Experience is one of the cherished gems in life.
Chase G — Google review
For starters... my grandma has been wanting some of the paper shell pecans! I've been looking high and low and I finally found them!! The store was soooo clean and neat! The store clerk was so kind and helpful! I live closer to Atlanta..but visit home ( Florida) often...I most definitely will be stopping by again! Keep up the Great work! The store looks Great!!

I absolutely love Adcox pecans. They are the freshest and best tasting pecans I’ve ever eaten! I drive to Florida every year to visit my cousin. I stop going and coming back! I don’t think I’m going to be able to keep driving because I have Narcolepsy and go to sleep driving! So, I’ve decided to order them. They’re so worth it!! Debra Williams
Debra W — Google review
Absolutely avoid this business! Horrible customer service. Was recently overcharged on multiple items, and their manager would not acknowledge or return our calls. This business does not use itemized receipts with product names, and therefore there is no transparency in the transactions. This is how they get away with these "errors". They will deceiptfully steal your money through overcharges and refuse to talk to you or remedy the situation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They have been reported to relevant credit card company.
BB — Google review
One of the best places I’ve stopped on the way through to vacation. Large selection of pecans, snacks, jams decor and more.

Key lime patties, peanut and cashew brittle, mini chocolate pecan pies are some of my favorites. The thin brittle is AMAZING!!!!!

ABAC's Georgia Museum of Agriculture

History museum
Museums
95-acre site featuring many 19th-century structures, costumed interpreters & an agriculture museum.
I loved every minute of the museum! We weren't able to get the full experience of the museum due to us arriving an hour and a half before they closed for that day, but we thoroughly enjoyed learning the history of some of the attractions. We will definitely be back to gain the full experience!
Kimika C — Google review
Went for the folklife festival, and the whole family truly enjoyed it. If you have little ones getting around in the train is most convenient. If you want to get all your steps in, then get ready to walk as there are lots of different houses and buildings to see. I enjoyed walking the art exhibit as it did iffer air conditioner on a very hot spring day. The praline blue bell ice cream was top tier. Staff was friendly from beginning to end.
Vik P — Google review
Tifton is a halfway point for meeting up with our kids and grands. We've tried many meeting spots, restaurants, parks, etc. AaC's Georgia Museum of Agriculture is the perfect spot! We had such fun having a picnic and playing on the grounds. There are two playgrounds, a small petting farm, and a full village of historic buildings to explore not to mention great exposure to agricultural history. There is a steam train that encircles the grounds and all the staff we met were friendly, helpful, warm and enthusiastic. I highly recommend a stop here. We'll definitely be back!
Carolyn C — Google review
We visited the Georgia Museum of Agriculture (which is linked through the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, if you see the ABAC logo and are curious what it means like I was), this is a fun museum that we took with our toddler. When you initially arrive at the country store, there are signs for the peanut museum (it has been removed so it’s just confusing signage), and you can purchase your admission that comes with a train ride (train is only operates on Saturdays). You purchase your tickets from the country store but once the train arrives, it takes you to the middle of the area and you can walk around and see what the agricultural industry was like in the early 1900’s. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly, and it was a lot of walking but it made for a great day especially for our toddler who loved the swing set area and the train ride. There is a souvenir shop that appeared to have snacks near the Feed and Seed spot, and inside the Country Store, there’s an ice cream shop. Overall, a different experience but thankful it was not too warm today!
Jessica R — Google review
Interesting look into Georgia history at the turn of the century. Watched how corn meal was ground by using power of a working water mill ! The metal worker made our group a hook and enjoyed ice cream and a bbq sandwich at the Cafe.
Dale B — Google review
This was a wonderful experience. Looking through the farm houses and equipment throughout the years. There was a grist mill, blacksmith, printshop, stores. Very educational and fun. Also, includes a fun train ride.
Indy P — Google review
Wow! We happened upon this place by sheer luck. We were just looking for a place to spend the night during our drive down to Florida and stopped over in Tifton. I looked up places to take the kids and so glad we decided to enter this blast from the past. Everyone was so friendly and wonderful. Randy in the woodworking shop went above and beyond to make the day even more special for the kids. The steam powered train is such a cool experience. Definitely will be stopping by here next time we are traveling down I-75. Thank you to everyone at the village, country store and museum.
Michael G — Google review
Father in law brought us here to see the steam engine. He is a train enthusiast and greatly enjoyed learning about their train. However there was plenty for everyone to do. One of the houses a lady taught us to make rag dolls. We sent these same rag dolls to a relative for her birthday and she was thrilled. Before even coming into the museum, there was a small farmer's market at the entrance that we bought some nice produce from and also some handmade earrings. Had a great time and learned a lot!

Fitzgerald Blue & Gray Museum

Museum
Specialty Museums
Just got off the phone with the Director, Mr. Aaron Benefield, who is an absolute wealth of information about Fitzgerald and the South. He assisted masterfully in answering questions I needed to complete a school project. He is very knowledgeable, polite and generous with his time. I am so grateful that someone like Mr. Benefield is in charge of a beautiful place like the Blue & Gray. I know Mrs. Beth Davis would be proud. If ever in Fitzgerald, this is a must-see exhibit. Check out the new genealogy wing as well! Thank you, Mr. Benefield, for all your help!

Just left the building. $5 is way overpriced. It should be free or a dollar donation. Cute place but save your money.
Michael S — Google review
I was on a mission to discover family history, and the library referred me to the museum. I had no idea what I would find, but it was far beyond my expectations. The truest treasure by far was the knowledgeable director, Aaron. He took time to educate me on many aspects of Fitzgerald history and researching through the old newspapers. He allowed me into the genealogy library upstairs, which had so many interesting books and records vital to the history of Fitzgerald. I will definitely be back soon!

Jefferson Davis State Historic Site

The Jefferson Davis State Historic Site is a well maintained area with a small, but very nice museum and gift shop. A marker shows where the President and his group were seized. Other markers show where the main road was at the time and a spot where two Union soldiers were accidentally killed by their own troops. The gentleman in the museum is fantastic. A great place for those who understand and love history.

I like history so seeing the sight where he was Arrested for treason was great. I liked the bridge where he was led away. Was not able to see museum because the Manager was MIA. It’s definitely not a destination historical sight but if you like history it’s definitely worth a quick stop if you are traveling. It’s definitely in the Country.

I loved the history, and it is a significant place in regards to the war between the states ending. It's a very small museum that takes very little time to go through. If you're in the area, it is a great place to stop and see. It is not a place to travel to from a long distance.

Fantastic reenactment today. Great historical site.
Janice L — Google review
Good historical place for history buffs. The building/museum is in a bit of ill repair, but the displays are pristine and the memorial is very nice. There is a decently kept grounds and nature trail as well. A good place for a picnic and a little learning.
Jeff T — Google review
Small site off the beaten path. The museum isn't much but if you're a Civil War history buff you'll enjoy it. The story of Davis's capture is the best part. There's a short nature walk that loops around the property and passes through a restored version of the campsite where he was captured.
William H — Google review
We stopped here spontaneously on our way back home, and we're happy we did. We got to learn a lil history that we didn't learn in school. The museum is inexpensive. The guy who worked there was friendly and helpful. We watched an 18 minute video on Jefferson Davis, then went around the museum, then walked around outside where Davis was actually captured. He even let our pug in the museum! We were there for about an hour, then we were on our way. We're glad we stopped by!
Cheryl J — Google review
It had a beautiful Museum dedicated to Jefferson Davis. Alot of things were donated from family members who had family members who served in the war. Beautiful piano was donated.

This is a great educational tour of the old jail house in Ashburn Ga. They operate on a volunteer system, so if the doors are locked walk across the street to the chamber of commerce and they will assist.

We were really excited to see the museum and eat at the cafe; it was closed. It is staffed with volunteers, and it was the day before Easter, so I’ll have to give them a pass.

We would like to thank the city and Jeffrey for inviting us out to investigate and film an episode for our season 2 line up. If you find yourself in Albany, Georgia, make sure to pay a visit to the Ray Charles Memorial at Ray Charles Plaza. This enchanting park is home to a stunning life-size bronze sculpture of the legendary musician himself, captured mid-performance at his piano. The statue not only serves as a tribute but also lights up and plays some of his iconic music, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
Wonderful memorial to an awe-inspiring artist! I was in the area, and I am so glad I took the time to see it. There is a walking trail also, but I did not walk it.
Pamela B — Google review
Was on a quick drive through Albany, Ga and decided to stop and check the park out. The area is big, with plenty of shaded areas if you wanted to go for a picnic. The river runs right next to the park and I happen to see a couple of people fishing while there. The rotating statue of Ray Charles along with the music was a definite highlight, plenty of space to sit near the display but a lot of that area isn’t shaded. So going in the evening or cooler weather would probably be best. One downside, which was also mentioned in a previous review, was the fact that there were some vagrants within the park. My husband and I weren’t approached by anyone, but it put a slight damper on the scenery. Also, there was some discarded trash, not much but still noticeable. We have plans to go back when the weather cools down.

This is a super nice park, on the bank of the Flint river. One of the nicest spots in town. You can sit and relax, walking and jogging if you're into that, fishing, playground for kids, pet friendly, people friendly, and the Flint river aquarium is on the same block. Also, Mr. Ray Charles is there, playing the piano for everyone. Hotel right across the street from park. If you gone be visiting The Good life City, i recommend visiting Ray Charles Memorial Park.
Patrick F — Google review
Lovely park with musical themed sculptures. If Ray rotated at some point, he does no longer.

This was such an exciting view! I had no idea that Ray Charles was from Albany the memorial plays music and turns. Although I did not see it turn I noticed Ray Charles facing in several directions. The trail was a beautiful site too!

Paying homage to the great Ray Charles. Right on the Flint River. Very nice park and of course the statue of Ray Charles sitting at the piano. Lovely fountain and the piano floor.

A must see if you are in the Albany Georgia area. Even with all the bridge construction this is still an accessible area. There is a covered area to sit and have lunch.

The Flint RiverQuarium in Albany, Georgia, is a unique aquarium showcasing the native birds and aquatic life of the Flint River. The facility offers hands-on exhibits and educational programming for visitors to learn about the river's history and its distinct ecosystem. With over 100 species on display, including an albino alligator as a highlight, the aquarium provides an engaging experience for guests.
My kid visited this place last year for a field trip. She loved it so much; she wanted to come again for her birthday. It's not a large place, but it's plenty of fun for the kids. It's also nice that there's a park nearby and shops for snacks! 10/10 Affordable and fun.
Sarah A — Google review
Very disappointing experience, many of the exhibits closed, the ones that were open are filthy and have algae growing in them. The roof is leaking and none of the employees are interested in their jobs. My daughter fell asleep after the first exhibit because there wasn’t much else to see after that.
Thomas C — Google review
Had a wonderful time. I am from S GA but never knew about this 0ace til recently. Pretty large venue for S GA. Learned the Flint River covers a much longer stretch than gained. Showed the variations of fish at many junctures, right down to beautiful tropical colored fish. Learned new facts about catfish and turtles. Admission is reasonable. Family of 4 under $40. Convenient street parking.

I recently visited the Flint RiverQuarium at 101 Pine Ave, in Albany, GA. I parked near the Aquarium and entered a very beautiful building. I went to the counter and was pleasantly greeted and laid my entrance fee. The people stationed throughout the Aquarium were very nice and answered my questions on the exhibits. It's worth a visit to see native river environments.
Greg K — Google review
The bluehole display was my favorite. Both the Aviary and Gator areas were disappointing. I am glad I went and would encourage you to go if you have a free hour or two.
Cheryl G — Google review
Not a bad experience, rating 3 stars due to the need of maintenance and lack luster gift shop. Typically we try to get our little one something whenever we go somewhere such as this but there just was not really much in the shop. There could definitely be some maintenance done to the facility but overall we did enjoy the aquarium.
Justin R — Google review
I love aquariums. And I wanted to take my grandchildren there and have a great, enjoyable day. Let's see, let's start off with the tanks weren't clean. You couldn't really see any of the creatures swimming around because there was no care to the cleaning of the tanks which is detrimental to the animals in itself. The price was okay for what we saw. There was a lot of construction and things blocked off. The beginning. Tanks right near the stairwell were empty except for one. Overall. I would give this a sub average review

Chehaw Park & Zoo

Park
Nature & Parks
Chehaw Park in Albany, Georgia offers a diverse range of attractions for visitors. The 700-acre park is an accredited wildlife attraction with various animal habitats and activities such as BMX bike trails, frisbee golf, and campsites. Visitors can explore the park's natural beauty while learning about conservation and observing animals like camels, meerkats, and screech owls. Additionally, the park features a splash pad playground for children and a grilling area for gatherings.
We enjoyed RV camping in such a quiet spot. The 18-hole disc golf in the evening was fun, as was the zoo in the morning. We were the onky visitors to the zoo, and the bears, bactrian camel, black rhino, lemors, prairie dogs, and cheetas and others were curious to see us. Off season was calm and wonderful. If I still had little kids, I'd be back here often.
Nancy J — Google review
We visited the zoo and the playground. My children had an excellent time. The park is well- maintained and the staff is friendly. It was not very crowded on a Wednesday afternoon. There are no souvenir patches in the gift shop, only magnets, tees, and stuffed toys. And the on-site food vendor is not available on regular weekdays, only on weekends. Those were the only 2 downsides, for us.
Stacie H — Google review
It was a nice zoo for the price. There were a lot of empty exhibits though and no concessions opened, other than a drink machine. Luckily I packed something. The alligator exhibit was pretty neat. It took us about an hour to go through.
Jena B — Google review
I think that there is a lot to offer here. Coming here is two adults with no children we see the appeal of the public park and splash pad. For kids this is an awesome free experience (minus entry fee) . The zoo is small but surpassed our expectations. There was a lot to see at the zoo and the animal interactions were quite interesting. We really enjoyed getting to feed the rhino. The zoo took us probably three and a half hours to go around the whole thing and take time at each exhibit. On the weekend we did see people racing RC cars and that was really unique and not something that we expected to see. Also the fact that this place has fishing and camping, it makes it seem like an all-around Outdoor Adventure day for anybody. We would probably come back here again but I do not think we would visit the zoo again. Overall, who facility is clean and as it was not expensive, it was a good experience.
Laura H — Google review
We had such a great time visiting here! Look at animals in a very beautiful setting! We will definitely go back.
Chrissy W — Google review
Wonderfull place... animals are well taken care off. And to be a samll zoo there was plenty to see.
Frank L — Google review
This place is amazing. The only thing I would not give 5 stars for is the bathroom. The bathrooms need updating.
Ethel — Google review
Use playground with caution. Our day at Chehaw started out great, we really enjoyed the zoo. Unfortunately the end of our trip turned into a rush to the closest ER. All 3 of our children were enjoying the playground when our middle child (7 year old) fell off the zipline and broke her Tibia in multiple places. Some of the playground is covered in rubber mulch material but this area was hard packed dirt, I called multiple times to try to alert staff (management) about the area needing to be re-mulched but have yet to receive a call back or acknowledgement of the issue being resolved. I know 💩 happens but I would like to see the area maintained so this doesnt happen to another child.

Sprawling park featuring campgrounds, a private golf course, a military museum & picnic shelters.
I've been here twice now (pictures are from two separate occasions), and I have enjoyed myself each time. There is tons to do there and something for everyone. Whether you want to camp, fish, play golf, hike, or test out your skills at the air rifle range--- you will find something worthwhile!

Wonderful off the beaten path. Beautiful place. Would love to come back and camp here.
Leah K — Google review
What a great place to enjoy nature with a huge slice of history. The bird watching opportunities were a bit limited for me as most of the avian life stayed behind the curtains of Spanish moss. But the birdsong keeps things cheerful, especially if the weather cooperates. Comparatively isolated in terms of food and drink options being nearby, so best to pack a picnic lunch ahead of time and enjoy the day.

I.love. This. Place! Camp site on the shore with our boat tied up near the camper. What more can you say. Stayed here three times and will be back soon I hope. The campground isn’t the only part of this package. The state park is nice with a really nice static display of military aircraft and ground vehicles. Would love to see more modern aircraft and ground vehicles added to it. I forgot about the lack of sewer hookups this time, but the dimp station has two lanes and is decently close.

Polished rooms & cabins, most with lake views, plus 2 restaurants, an outdoor pool & a beach.
We stay in the campground. We love the park and the people. Everyone should see this place it is lovely. The restaurant was not open but we had the park to ourselves. The park host was there in seconds as our battery died. He jumped us and we were on our way home. Don't rely on the website to book. Call the office. Cannot wait to go back and eat in the restaurant.

The cabins could use some updating, especially the bathrooms. The furniture looked like the early 80s, but they did have flat screen TVs, so that was nice. Our cabin had a ramp for wheelchairs but not all cabins had one. The outside lighting did not work. Without the use of vehicle headlights, we would have been in total darkness.

Amazing scenery! So many things to do and see. lots of trails, you could spend the whole day walking and not see every trail. And everything you need is a quick drive out of the park. The camp host are very nice and helpful, don't be shy!

I haven’t stayed at this resort yet but it is a great location with so much to do. Veterans state park is a very chill place to visit. At least four different activities: archery and shooting spot, fishing, boating, and the mini museum. Highly recommend if you’re retired and want a nice quiet place to visit once a month. If you’re not retired and have a family it’s a great day trip or weekend overnight stay.

We were just there for the weekend to take our son to see Thomas the Train. The campground was very nice and the views were great. All the grounds and common areas are maintained very well. We are definitely planning a return trip.

The cabin we stayed at was horrible. It desperately needed a deep clean and the condition overall was poor. The screened in porch had holes, so was full of mosquitoes and flies. The kitchen was NOT well stocked, and what it did have was Dollar General quality. Our toilet seat was broken, the living room furniture was so disgusting, and the beds were broken down and uncomfortable. We are so disappointed in this trip.
Julie S — Google review
Or stay was great!. The cabin Was clean and well stock .The only thing I didn't like was ,I couldn't sit on the porch and watch the boats go by. NEED MAINTENANCE AROUND THE LAKE. Cabins need brooms.Chigger bugs was bad they ate my whole family up

The golf course here was beautiful yet so dreadful. The amount of gnats were diabolical. It is a very well kept course but I couldn’t even open my eyes to hit the ball without a gnat entering my eye socket. Bring a ton of bug spray if your gonna play.

Ellis Brothers Pecans is an amazing place to visit. They have a wide variety of pecans to choose from, and the best part is that you can sample them before buying! They offer flavors for every taste, including sugar-free options. The peach ice cream is absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The place itself is beautiful, making it a perfect stop to relax and enjoy with family. Definitely worth a visit! 🌟

Ellis Bros. Pecans is such a cute little country store — a true local gem! They’ve got just about everything pecan-related you can imagine, from fresh nuts to pies, pecan oil, and even sugar-free snacks. If it can be made local, they’ve got it here! You’ll also find tons of pickled veggies, sauces, and other Southern favorites. It’s a fun spot to stretch your legs on a road trip and soak up some local charm while tasting a bit of everything. Definitely worth a stop!
Sam — Google review
Our friends had recommended this location since they had enjoyed all the different flavors . When we stopped there there was plenty of parking. We went in and (I am not joking- but they had over 20 flavors of pecans as samples) tried them all. I could not pick a favorite!!! They were all delicious. So if you are on a road trip on I-75, be sure to stop by there and get some of their pecans. They grow them themselves and I believe this has been in their family for over 10 generations!!! Wow!!!

Nuts! Samples! Pecans! Peanuts! Sugar Free options! Fresh Ice Cream! Candy! Take the time to stop, samples are ample, enjoy the great prices and wide variety. The more you look the more you will likely grab and buy. I’ve been going here for decades. Fresh and flavorful. Always worth the stop.
CHRIS P — Google review
Great place to stop when on I-75 heading towards GA. Always stop when heading north. They have great pecans, jellies, pies and homemade ice cream that was delicious. Friendly staff and nice clean rest rooms. Definitely worth the stop. During this time you drive pass a wonderful cotton field.
Glow2000 — Google review
It's so worth the stop. The assortment of chocolate-covered nuts - almonds, peanuts, Grand Mariner pecans, pralines turtles, divinity - is massive. The pecans are incredible. You can get different types: whole, halved, chopped, spiced, cinnamon, seasoned, & so much more. They have gummy candy like peaches, worms, oranges, and others. Saltwater taffy. Ice cream. It's all delicious! But my wife's favorite is the peaches. They have some delicious Georgia peaches. On every trip, we get a bag of them to bring home and they're oh so good! Ellis' selections go beyond nuts & candies & peaches. They offer, what appears to be, locally made dressings, salsas, vinaigrettes, spices, and much, much more. You're sure to walk away with some unexpected treat or something you haven't had in years.
J. W — Google review
The perfect stop while traveling to get a really good price on a huge variety of quality pecans and other assorted nuts and goodies. I loved the fact that they had samples in front each different flavor so you can try all your options. It really helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and was interested in. It was astounding at how many different flavors and products that they had. I really enjoyed getting to explore. Not to mention the ladies working were so kind and engaging.
Jordyn R — Google review
We just left Ellis Bros.Pecans about a half an hour ago, and the whole ride home, we were talking about the positive experience we had with one of the employees named Summer. Although we're locals and come there maybe once every few months and always have a pleasant visit, today's visit was particularly special. Summer greeted us with a beautiful smile, she made sure we were happy, and she was so patient with us during the entire time there. She took the time to explain the various flavors because the seasons had changed and one of my usual flavors was not in stock, so I was having to choose between some other flavors. And I ended up deciding to go with the pumpkin spice pecan ice cream and the pecan pie ice cream instead of the black walnut. She also took the time to let me sample them, which I really appreciated because to be honest, I didn't know which ice cream I was going to get because their black walnut ice cream has to be the best black walnut ice cream in the entire USA. And I'm not exaggerating! If you're a black walnut ice cream person, you have to try their black walnut ice cream. But, Summer was very kind. She was very patient, and she gave us service with a smile. So, not only do you get a portion of ice cream that's typically larger compared to other competitors, but it's homemade, it's delicious, they have so many different creative flavors. When you can get service with a smile and you're made to feel appreciated and valued as a customer, it means just that much more. So to Summer and to Ellis Brothers, we appreciate the service that you provide to the community. And Summer in particular deserves a special commendation. She is an asset and a value to have, and any employer should be so lucky to have her. Thank you so much for a wonderful service, and we will continue to keep coming back to your beautiful establishment.

Just completed a camping trip this weekend and it was fantastic. I rode my mountain bike on several of the trails, ate an excellent meal at the Cafe, had a few well drinks, and swam in the heated pool. Staff, residents, and fellow guests were all very friendly. This place is co-ed which makes it a good place for open minded couples to come and relax, no pressure as it's clothing optional. I stayed in a tent site and they were maintained and it was convenient to a restroom facility. It was also not a long walk or bike ride to the wash house which had nice showers, temperature controlled restrooms and a laundry facility. Bathrooms are also co-ed, but that's not a big deal. It's convenient to I-75 and I-16, and there is a city about 15 minutes away with more restaurant options and a food lion (Ice and firewood). I would like to see the tent sites improved with maybe a dedicated tent pad, pea gravel or sand maybe as a base and somewhat level, but thats nit really a huge deal. Definitely will be coming back again soon.

This was a great stop with the kids on a road trip. There is an excellent combination of indoor exhibits (hunting games, fishing simulation, mounted fish), live aquarium fish inside and outside, a peek at the hatchery, and the coup de gras, a well stocked fishing pond with free poles and bait for the kids (and adults) to use. My kids caught their first fish here which got them really excited about fishing.
George B — Google review
Hidden gem, this place is not advertised. The inside of the museum was lacking as many of the interactive displays didn't work. However, just step outside to a peaceful oasis where the aquariums are! So wonderful! And they have fishing poles with bait available at the pond so you can fish. My granddaughter and I enjoyed it as neither of us had ever fished. I definitely will go back again!

This place was amazing! They had many kid friendly activities. There was also many educational areas to learn about Georgia aquatic wildlife. They had a saltwater and freshwater fishing simulator, a brim fishing pond (with free rod and bait you can use), shooting simulators, and many other things. The staff was friendly and informative and everything was clean and working great. It was definitely worth the money ($5 for kids 3-12 $7 for older plus a senior discount for anyone 65 and older).

I am not a fishermen (fisherlady?). However the exhibits and interactive displays were eye opening. I learned about how and why we must respect and take care of our environment; the land, bodies of water, and the wild life; but mostly about fish and the sport of fishing. It's the type of place everyone can enjoy and expand their knowledge and appreciation for it. The employees are wonderful. You can sit on a bench and fish on the premises, have a picnic, and be alone with nature. I have a new found respect for the sport. Take your friends, family, employees and co-workers. I am sure they will enjoy it too. I got my fishing license the day I visited! 😍

So fun! There’s so much to do. All the areas with the animals were clean and well ventilated. Easy to walk the fairgrounds, indoor spots to get some air and cool down for a bit. The restrooms were well maintained. The events with the kids showing off their skills was so great! It was overall a great experience! I can’t wait to go next year.

I go to the Georgia National Fair every year, and there’s always plenty to keep everyone in the group entertained. They give out chocolate milk in the cow building and also have live births that you can watch inside another building. The reptile show is good, I would recommend watching it, it’s very entertaining. The petting zoo is fun because you can go in for free and have the option to buy food to feed the animals, and there’s also a variety of animals. There’s always lots of opportunities to interact with different animals. They also do free concerts nightly (I think).

Amazing fairgrounds! Great arenas and stall facilities. Well organized and managed

I had an incredible experience at the Georgia National Fairgrounds! The venue is well-organized and spacious, perfect for hosting a variety of events. The facilities are clean and maintained, with plenty of seating and food options throughout the fairgrounds. I was particularly impressed by the diversity of activities, from exciting rides and games to agricultural exhibitions and live performances. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. Whether you're attending a fair, concert, or expo, the Georgia National Fairgrounds is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area!

My first time ever and it was great. I took the whole family. The Grandbaby danced his little self. I got m6 Funnel Cake and Italian Sausage 😀 I ate good. The Grandbaby saw a cow, hog and goat.

Such a great experience! The price was reasonable but the costs for food were a bit pricey. $20 for a turkey leg is more than disney charges. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely go back.

We come here for the vintage arts festival. We had a great time, and filled the wagon we brought with us.

We (The Handcrafted Shed LLC) have only been coming here 1 yr with Vintage Markets days of central Georgia. Very friendly staff and helpful. I camped here for the first time. I ended up with a load of ants in my camper. They should have mowed before we showed up

My husband and I found this place while we were just randomly looking for restaurants near us. And i am glad we did! It was warm and welcoming when we walked in the door. Our server, Lauren, was awesome! Kept a smile on her face and very friendly! Both of our dishes tasted great. A little pricey ,but considering the amount of food you get, well worth it!! I'd recommend this place to any one and we will Definetely be back!!

We stopped at this place while we were driving to Atlanta. The palace was kind of empty at lunchtime. The place could do better in the cleanliness area. The floor was supper sticky when you walk in front of the bar and to the restrooms. Once you order they give you bread with butter and garlic, not to bad. We order chicken with fries for the kids. The chicken was not very tasty. Also I ordered some chicken parmesan, it was good and large portion. The chicken Alfredo could use more flavor. The lasagne was good althoug the sauce tasted strange for my liking. I was offered a salad and after I ordered it I was told they were not offering it that day. Also the cook forgot to include my plate in the order and I had to wait for my plate. Not great and not bad. But I definitely like the location in an old town.

I’m am leaving a 2 star just to be nice. Came here for the first time with family for a birthday party of 15. Out of 15, 9 people returned their steaks only to receive watery tasting steaks (no flavor what so ever). 30 minutes after everyone Else received their meal my wife and I received our $30 plate with fish that looks flatter than pancakes with no taste and shrew and scallops that were completely over cooked. The mashed potatoes are actually OK oh. I feel very sorry for the server that actually was a decent server

We went here on a Friday night at 6pm. It wasn't crowded which was great. It was just my husband and i and our small son (big kids spending the night at nannas). Bathroom very small, no baby changer (I always make sure to point out if a place has one or not) and floors were sticky. The app we ordered was actually really really good (artichoke spinach dip) and came piping hot. My husband ordered the chicken frise (don't know how to spell it) and he was a little disappointed. It was basically angel pasta with a weird battered/fried chicken on top and barely any sauce. I got the scallops which came very hot and delicious, but the red smashed potatoes were just ok. Kiddo got the spaghetti which was huge for a kid, but he did enjoy it! Hubby and I split the tiramisu which was the most disappointing thing :-( it was still frozen in the middle and after asking the waitress she did say it came frozen. Boo. Overall, maybe I would go back, but prob just for drinks or an app.
Heather M — Google review
We have long enjoyed coming down here as a treat. Food has almost always been extremely enjoyable, from the pasta to the steaks. Salads are tasty. One of the only places in central Georgia to serve Spumoni (Italian ice cream), a delightful end to a tasty meal. The bar is sometimes a little light handed for the price, though one or two times the drinks have been surprisingly robust. Bar prices just seem too high for this market. The one thing that I've noticed lately is that the service, while usually very friendly, isn't timely. I don't know if it's too many tables (or maybe too spread out) for each member of the staff or what, but they need to improve this aspect of their otherwise great establishment in order to regain a 5 star rating. We brought new friends to eat here recently and though they liked their chicken and fish dishes, they made pointed but accurate remarks about the speed of service. Overall, it's a good place to eat, and with improved service could be great again.

My fiance and I visited on July 1st, 2017. She and I have always enjoyed dining out and trying new places. We found the food here to be delicious with anple portions. What we found particularly amazing was the service we received from our server, Tiffany. She was informative about the menu and very attentive. She made an enjoyable meal even more enjoyable!
Mark C — Google review
This place is a big nope! Service was the worst I've experienced in a long time! Hostess told us 45 minute wait even though there were tables (just needing to be cleaned). We went to the bar for a drink while we waited. She called our names and we went up and she told us in an impolite manner that she had been looking for us. We sat for 10 minutes before I flagged her down and asked if we had a server. Server came we ordered steak and prime rib. Salads took about 30 minutes to get. Dinner was well over an hour to get to our table and my whole order was wrong. I asked for baked potato and got mashed. Asked for Med rare prime rib and got well. We were on the clock for a babysitter and seeing as how slow everything was we didn't fight the wrong order. Asked for horseradish (10 minutes later still nothing). Had to ask another server for it. I feel the need to leave a review because it was awful and the price was high.
Leighann R — Google review
Found this place on TripAdvisor. We got there early on a Friday evening and the place was not crowded. Waitress was amazing. r Beer was so cold it almost froze. The prime rib was amazing The Rustic chicken rivaled the prime rib. Watch out for the garlic rolls they are dripping in butter and garlic and they are to die for. Even the salads are large and wonderful. We Would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.

The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs. It's the second largest museum dedicated to aerospace run by the U.S. Air Force and attracts more visitors than any other attraction in Georgia outside of Atlanta. The museum spans four exhibition buildings and 21 hectares, showcasing 85 aircraft from across aviation's first hundred years.
Wonderful experience at the facility. Recommend viewing all outdoor exhibit early in the day to avoid the heat. Myself and my wife arrived at opening and spent the entire day on site besides heading to the Taco barn directly off site. A lot to see and a lot to read. I enjoyed getting to talk to the restorers about their work and how they are able to bring these planes back to museum quality.
Scott T — Google review
Excellent collection of aircraft and military history. Three separate hangars and a lot of walking, so be prepared. Another nice feature is driving the perimeter road all around and seeing all the aircraft displayed on the grounds. Best of all donation only entrance. Kid friendly, easy wheel chair access and elevators. It was one of the best aviation museums I have ever seen.
Paul F — Google review
This place is exceptional. There's about a 1 mile loop around all four hanger museums, huge planes along the walkway. Each museum has a specific theme and then some are multiple stories. There's also a stem education floor for children. Lastly, the playground is exceptional and is handicap accessible. Strongly recommend if you're driving through the area to stop by and visit for free. Don't forget to donate
Virginia S — Google review
Took my family here one weekend and we loved it, especially my retired Air Force veteran father in law. The facility is HUGE and full of interactive displays including a virtual reality simulator. We hope to go back soon as we were able to see everything so make sure you plan an entire day for your visit if you want to see the entire museum.
Kevin K — Google review
An absolutely top notch museum with a genuinely exciting and well curated collection of interesting aircraft. All are in great condition. For an aviation enthusiast it's a must-visit

Museum is a self guided walk through building with a lot of artifacts, displays, videos, and interactive features. Very well put together to tell the story of POWs with first hand accounts of POWs and their families. It is wheelchair and stroller accessible, and there are benches throughout to sit and take in the displays and watch the videos. Restrooms are available. There is a gift shop with books, magnets, postcards, pins, t-shirts, and the usual memorabilia.

The museum exhibits are in poor lighting. I had problems reading about them. Great set up and some much to see. Lighting needs to be improved. Still worth your time Walking around outside was so interesting.

A somber and powerful experience steeped in the horrors of war and fearful side of mankind. Along with the sadness I also saw the struggle and sacrifice from those who gave all to fight to destroy the evil. A beautiful memorial to those it represents.
Michael Y — Google review
It is a solemn place which displays the harshness of the treatment and the enduring resolve of the POW. The engagement in the readings and videos takes us back to those moments where lives suffered. The facility is monumental and the staff knowledgeable.

Awesome Military Staff Ride at Andersonville Prison National Park. Reactors were on hand. The Park staff was well prepared and very knowledgeable. Great visit.
Todd S — Google review
We have been a couple of times. It's such an incredible but sad museum. Highly recommend taking the time to read everything and be humbled by what we as humans have endured. Bless America, and we shall never forget those that served and continue to serve. The grounds are beautiful and can take a little bit of time to walk, so come with plenty of time to walk around or drive around as both can be done with parking throughout some of the drive to get down and read.

Posted earlier. Amazing and an absolute must visit. Such an honor to step where so many perished.
Sheila D — Google review
Pleasantly surprised at how well the museum was done and the grounds upkeep. The short film was worth it although it is quite depressing. The only negative was that some of the exhibits were too dark to see. I understand that it was meant to create a mood, but it was a little frustrating not to be able to read things. All in all, very impressed

The Drummer Boy Civil War Museum, located on the main street, is a captivating collection of authentic uniforms from both the Union and Confederate sides, as well as revolvers, carbines, and muskets. The museum is part of a village that includes a 6-acre Pioneer Farm with an operating Grist Mill and a 130-year-old log cabin. The area also features historical buildings in a natural setting, making it an ideal backdrop for events like weddings or business meetings.
Great museum filled with great insight of the prisoner’s experiences at Andersonville. It’s a small museum but a great size packed with artifacts from various civil war battles.

Unfortunately it was closed when we went thru after visiting the National POW site. There is so much history surrounding this area, hope to have an opportunity to visit in the future. Sizable roadside store & cafe featuring fresh peaches & pecans, plus buffet-style Southern fare.
If you like Georgia, peaches, and pecans LANE is an outstanding place. The food is good, hot, and reasonable. Don’t even go by the dessert area you won’t wanna leave. Lots of peach stuff in there and it is very good. The selection of jellies and jams and anything to do with peaches is there. Plenty of parking for everybody and especially for handicap. The service is great typical of Georgia folks.

What a wonderful farm! Everything was so clean, and there was a great selection of fresh local products. But the highlight for us was definitely their amazing variety of peaches! We bought a whole box, and they were absolutely incredible — sweet, juicy, large, easy to peel, and the pit comes right out. Just perfect! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality peaches and a lovely farm experience!
Angela D — Google review
Great selection of peaches, peach, products, as well as pecans. They have an area for ice cream and I wish I had been hungry because I am sure the peach ice cream is amazing! From jarred peaches to peach pie filling to peach cobbler, mix to candies and desserts made with peaches and pecans, the selection is vast. Prices are fair and there is a nice area of gifts as well. Service is friendly and it is easy to get to. We would love to come here when the peaches are fresh on the trees. Highly recommend coming here. Plenty of parking and a great place for groups as well.

Made a quick pit stop off the interstate and so glad that we did! We were instantly greeting by Darrell and he was so kind, intelligent, and informative on all things peaches and pecans! He had the best stories and knowledge. Definitely a highlight of visiting! Customer service goes a long way and honestly, he made our trip. It was our first visit and even though we live in Illinois, if we are ever back in the area we will be stopping again! The peach cider is absolutely incredible!!!
Shan B — Google review
While a bit touristy, Lane is worth the visit. We had lunch here and the pulled pork sandwiches were very good. Served with one side and a pickle, I had onion rings and my wife ordered cole slaw. Prices on peaches were a bit steep, and other farms in the area have lower prices for freshly-picked peaches. Pearson Farms was a few miles away and they offered better value with an option of #2 half-bushels.
Mark M — Google review
I don’t know. I think I built the place up in my head on the 2 hour car ride there because I expected a peach farm to have better peach cobbler than this. ( especially for the prices they’re charging holy) Also don’t think the farm is self tour so you’re virtually just going to a peach themed gift shop. It’s got a nice patio to sit on with rocking chairs but that’s it pretty much all that stood out to me.
Ayah B — Google review
I just received the pecans I ordered from Lane Southern. they are bad, not dry enough but rotten with mold inside which is very poisonous for the health. I cracked six and found two of them were with mold inside. I've attached a few photos. I requested a full refund but they did not responded to me. Very disappointed! Never buy nuts from Lane Southern!

Fairly large store that is neat and well laid out. A big positive for this area of the state, it’s air conditioned so you can enjoy the visit on a hot summer day. Like any similar place with individual vendor booths the prices are all over the place, from bargain to outrageous. All in all it’s worth a visit if you are in the area.

I've been driving past this place for 6 years, but it's always outside their business hours or not when I can stop. I finally got to stop today, and I am already planning my return trip! It's clean and laid out in a warehouse with wide enough aisles for accessibility. There's a large selection of things to look at - and you definitely can't see it all in one visit! Everyone there was friendly, including the 4-legged door greeters. It's right around the corner from Gottwalls Books, too, so that's a bonus.
Brooke H — Google review
One of the most unusual antique malls we've been to, you can find many items from the industrial revolution as well as household items and décor from the last century. The very nice employees told us at the register why a desalinated item was discounted and some were not. We decided to stop by here after the Macon Cherry Tree Festival and were delighted to find the former ones in that we didn't buy into last year giving them less importance than they actually had. Prepare to spend at least an hour of your time getting around!
Ilia C — Google review
😒. It’s okay. A lot of the same stuff, mostly glass ware and junk that was over priced. Don’t go during the summer months like we did. Place has very poor air conditioning and while there are fans on the floor, they don’t help. Too hot to shop. Got overheated and had to leave. Buc-ee’s is about 4 miles away down 75. A much better experience 😂

I had a wonderful visit to Pearson Farm off Zenith Mill Road in Fort Valley, Georgia today! The whole experience was warm and welcoming from start to finish. They offer fresh, high-quality freestone peaches by the box or individually, juicy red and green plums by the basket, and a great selection of Elliott pecans – both plain and flavored. Inside the store, you can watch through large windows as the freshly picked peaches are cleaned and processed, which was a neat and educational touch. The store was very clean, and the staff were friendly, respectful, and helpful. They also sell delicious peach cobbler, creamy peach ice cream, and other tasty snacks and knickknacks. I especially loved the seating area outside on the cool shaded porch with their big rocking chairs – the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your treats! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area or passing by on I-75. It’s a true Southern gem! 🍑🪑🍦

Stopped in today and although the shop wasn’t quite open, we got to talking with Al Pearson, and what a pleasure that was. Talk about southern charm and hospitality. When he learned we were heading back to Florida tomorrow he wouldn’t let us leave empty handed! Can’t wait to try these beautiful peaches. Definitely will be coming back! Oh and check out his tree talks on youtube, lots to learn.

I’ve passed by this farm several times and wanted to stop and finally did. It was worth it! I did not know there are different types of peaches and the girl who helped me was very informative. I’ve never seen peaches on a conveyer belt either. The place has Southern charm with even a front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy your treats.

This 4000 acre peach farm is still family owned and operated. It was started in 1855 and also grows pecans and plums. We purchased #2 graded peaches at $20 for a half-bushel box. This was a great price. I also treated myself to a cup of absolutely delicious peach soft serve ice cream that was only $5. Our peaches were picked today and it was fun watching workers pack boxes of fruit on an assembly line. A nice day outing for us!

Hospitality, Service, Extremely clean, attitude! WOW!!! I rarely get speechless, this is one of those moments, I went out of repute to visit this place and I have to admit it is true Southern welcome! Awesome view and amazing ice cream! I would most definitely advise everyone to stop by and try this. Thank you guys and for sure I will come again!

If you're looking for a delightful treat, you absolutely have to check out this spot! Their peach-flavored offerings, like the ice cream and peach cobbler, are simply out of this world. The employees are super friendly and make the experience even more enjoyable. What is the best part? You can sample before you buy! Trust me, it’s worth your time to visit this place first, the next time you’re in the area. You won't regret indulging in these delicious treats! Pearson Farm truly stands out as the best.

We've made it a tradition to travel to GA for Pearson Farm every year. The peaches are excellent, and the prices are very good. However, the main reason why we stop is for the butter pecan ice cream. There's nothing better! I'm also a little biased because we share the same last name :)

I decided to give these peaches a try and ordered a dozen – and let me tell you, they are incredible! The aroma is intoxicating, making you want to devour them all. Each peach was sweet and juicy, and they arrived perfectly packed with not a single bruise. I'll definitely be stocking up again before the season ends!

I ate ice cream with two flavors peach and strawberry. They tasted really good. The farm had fresh vegetables, sweet peaches, and cherries. I saw syrups I’d never seen before: strawberry, blueberry, and peach. They also had something called peach chutney I’d never heard of it. I would definitely recommend visiting Dickey Farms.

We went to the Strawberry festival @ Dickey Farms but stopped at the Farm store first thinking it was it. It wasn't. The store was fine but VERY crowded with long lines everywhere, maybe due to the Strawberry festival about a mile down the road. Parking at the store day the festival was wild. Bring a drink to get you started cause it will be a short wait to get one there.

Very clean store. Wonderful homemade peach, strawberry or mixed ice cream. Eat while watching peaches being packaged.

Didn't have the time to look around much, but the market was well stocked. As you might expect, it was mostly (but not exclusively) peach-related items. You can see in the pics some things we picked up. (Look at that peach fritter. It's as big as my hand!) Also, the fresh peach ice cream was amazing!

I joined my child for a pumpkin patch field trip which the Dickey Farms provides for schools in a field close to their store front. It was really well organized and clean and there were 6 or 7 different areas for the kids to learn about pumpkins and farms as well as playgrounds and a corn maze. They each got to take home a small pumpkin and had some peach ice cream after lunch. The peach ice cream was delicious! A great field trip and so much fun!

We’ve always bought peaches and been very satisfied with them so we decided to try pecans. Never again!! A five pound bag cracked was $25, pricy but that’s what we paid. The issue was that the five pound bag was only 4.623 pounds - almost a half pound less than noted on the label. We’ll maybe continue buying peaches but not pecans

Pretty cool little town!!! Great Location! As an Ice Cream Expert that travels the country looking for the best ice cream, this place has taken me by surprise… I normally shy away from soft serve ice cream, but today I decided to give it a try. WOW!!! What an amazing taste! Real Homemade Ice Cream (for real) I tried the fresh peach and strawberry swirl (or twist), it was absolutely amazing! If you are anywhere close to Musella, GA you have to stop in to Dickey Farms and get a cup or cone of their fresh homemade ice cream! Great job guys! Keep making smiles with America’s favorite !
