Rustic stop while at 2025 Sturgis Rally. Cold beer, good food and lots of bikers. Store is a pretty neat stop with lots of touristy stuff. Many humorous t-shirts and nickknacks, key chains, magnets, rocks, and so on. Expect tourist prices. Was a fun place to get off the bike and rest a while before getting back on the road. Will be back again next year!

This is a great store, which was pretty unexpected to see in a town of such a small size. There are plenty of very nice souvenirs and clothes. The owner Trent is very friendly and welcoming.

Sad that it was closed when we passed by, this was our 3rd time visiting and this time we brought a friend from Spain but oh well, it was closed.

Long live places like this. I grew up going to stores like this in Virginia and sadly most are gone now. Thanks to Walmarts and dollar stores they are fading memories. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. If you still have an old country store near where you live, support them and keep the small businesses in business!

On our way to Devils Tower we stopped at this little store in Aladdin. There was a population sign right next to the store that said Pop 13. Our family vacation group suddenly realized we had doubled the size of the town just by showing up. What fun. There were snacks and friendly people inside the store, cold drinks and a significant number of souvenirs to choose from. All in all it was a positive stop, but we wouldn't have gotten gas at the pump because at that time it looked like original equipment.

We were driving by and decided to stop in for a quick tour. Josh, our guide, was a very smart young man and walked us through the site. We really enjoyed learning about the history of Vore buffalo jump and recommend to all ages!

Hearing them give you the full history in person is where it’s at! It’s worth it! 🦬 Seeing the butcher site in person is a really cool experience. Definitely stop in and check it out. Their gift shop is full of things to choose from. This site is truly incredible to see and hear about the history dating back umteen thousand years ago!

We were happy to make this stop from Deadwood on our way to Devils tower. We were not aware of the history here it's a small location but awesome to see the gentleman that gave us a tour is the owner he has a lot of history here small museum and we were able to enter the area's of the actual diggs for bison fossils. Amazing stories here. To get to the fossil u have to be able to walk down to the location just an ( fyi ) in case of mobility difficulties .

Well worth the detour off the highway. Dedicated bunch of volunteers who offered so much information. Asked for a small donation when we said we could not stay for the whole tour down j to the site (45 minutes). But she took us out to the sink hole and explained how the. Native Americans had used the site to hunt bison.

We stopped in on our way through the area, Josh our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. This place is rich with Native American history. An absolute must see if you have an interest in Native American history. Don't just drive by, stop in a learn a few new things. Thank you Josh for being our tour guide today. You really would make an amazing Park Ranger.

Anatoly was a great tour guide. This was our second time to Vore Buffalo Jump, and it is a gem! Highly interactive, great for teens and adults. Requires some walking down and up hill, but the paths are paved, and almost all of it is wheelchair accessible. Highly recommended to anyone in the Black Hills/Devils Tower area.

They offer different tour options, from self-guided to guided. The guided is $9/person and well worth it. Our guide was a local, history majoring student from the university and did a great job with the tour. The tour includes three parts. First, you look at the hole from above and learn about the technique. Next, you go into the tipi museum to see maps and learn more about the tribes and the process. Finally, you head down to the dig site, which was my favorite part. Here you see lots of the bones and other artifacts, as well as learn more about how all the things the bison were used for. This place was definitely worth the nine dollars and was an interesting leg stretch during a long car trip. The whole guided tour takes 30-45 minutes depending on how many questions you ask. Beware: going to the bottom of the sink hole must be done by foot. There is a paved trail going down, but it is steep and I imagine it would be quite difficult to get a wheelchair up and down it safely.

What a pretty and clean visitor center. Ladies working here can answer all the questions you have. Plenty of brochures about attractions located in Wyoming. Great views from the parking lot, picnic tables. RV friendly parking lot.

Fantastic stop! Take a bathroom break with the kids and let them explore! So many awesome items and the ladies who where there seemed great. There is free coffee and tea with sugar and stuff. See the pics! Amazing educational and interesting. Leave them a few bucks for Continued support!

This is a very nice Welcome Center and a nice place to stop and stretch your legs. It had a large parking area, that was very clean and well maintained and easy access. The view from outside the center was breathtaking and you could see for miles and miles in all directions! Wow! Definitely worth stopping at!

After years of fundraising the museum was able to move into the old highschool. Be aware there is now a $5 fee to visit, it is not free anymore.

A Must-See when traveling through Sundance, WY. The museum has an amazing collection and the downstairs gift shop has some beautiful items.

After our visit to Sundance, we love this small town. And the museum in the old school building is wonderfully equipped and furnished. The highlight is the courtroom where the Sundance Kid was sentenced. Don't forget to visit the art and museum shop in the basement. Once again, many thanks to the lovely staff and the museum director, who gave us a personal tour. We will definitely be back, and send our best regards from Germany to Sundance.

What an amazing museum! A lovingly assembled collection of artifacts from the area has been turned into a storyline that describes what was life like here. Even the building itself is a 100+ years old school building that was state of the art when it was built, and still looks quite impressive on the outside as well as on the inside. Even the courthouse furniture has been preserved and arranged to show the layout of the courtroom of the times long past. Highly recommended to stop and enjoy.

Awesome museum. The staff was helpful and informative, knew a lot about the history and local area. This place was filled to the brim, and much larger than you would think going in. You could spend about an hour here if you took your time. The majority of the pieces were donated by local pioneer families, which just adds to the authenticity. The museum will soon move to the schoolhouse on the side street by sometime around february. Great spot.

Little County museum well worth at least 3 hours. The Sundance kid was tried in this building and they have the original courtroom furniture.

$5 admit was worth it. Good displays and education on the Vore Buffalo jump. Well stocked gift shop on lower level.

It's a beautiful bar, but the female owner (Jessica?) is very bitter. Did not feel welcomed by her. Feel bad for the workers. Everyone else was very kind. Good food.

We stopped in for a few beers and the bar was quiet. We thought we were only going to have one but the bartender, Darnell, was so nice and friendly that we stayed a few hours. She made our night. 100 plus dollars later, we met really nice people, played pool and machines, danced and had a blast. Thank you Darnell, your a sweetheart.

Classic small town bar. Incredible wooden bar back. Super friendly waitresses. Very generous pours. If you're in Sundance Wyoming and want to wet your whistle, the dime horseshoe is a must stop.

Great state park! Clean & well-maintained in a beautiful area. Staff could do a better check of camping cabins as they were a bit dirty but overall a great trip.

We spent a few hours at Keyhole State Park, looking for a good place to hike. We hiked around the lake via the Beach Trail and then drove up the road to hike the Little Keyhole Trail over and near the dam. These were both short trails, but made for a nice afternoon excursion.

Visit August 2021, Cabin 1: Beautiful campground with amazing views of the reservoir all around. Very quiet with minimal human or animal noises. It was a bit of a drive (too far to walk) to the showers but very clean and in the open. There was an outhouse nearby that we could use throughout the day. IMPORTANT NOTE: Showers were coin operated. Bring quarters or cash for exchange machine. We stayed in a cabin on the shoreline. Very peaceful and the perfect location to look out at the water or walk the shoreline. We swam at the beach for awhile and were the only people there. The sunsets from the beach were SPECTACULAR! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this state park! Nearest gas station is a long drive away too. Come prepared with enough ice or build the drive to get ice into your itinerary.

Great location but super un level gravel campsite, AR08. No power or water but lake access is worth the sacrifice.

Beautiful park with campgrounds. We camped. Arch Rock camping pads didn't seem to be level. But we knew in advance, so we brought extra plastic levelers. It was very peaceful. ✌️

This place is amazing!!! My family has camped here twice and go fishing here. But this was my first and my goodness, nature is a beautiful thing🥰 Try to be careful on where u reserve though. Some designated tent sites are too small if u have a big tent. We were at the Tatanka section. They also have cabins. I highly recommend it here. Also, on a side note, for the bathrooms, they keep them pretty clean and actually smelling good😄

Beach was small and there were lots of weeds in the sand. The kind of weeds that have hard branches that poke through your shoes. The views were beautiful at sunset. The beach was shallow which made swimming awesome! The park itself was weird because we had to take a gravel road for almost an hour to find the park. When we got there, they said you could only book a camp site over the phone or online. We use Roger's phone carrier as we are Canadian and there was no network at all. Eventually they let us book at the toll booth but it took a while to convince them. It was $33 USD to tent camp for one night with no hookups. They have no convenience store anywhere in the park. There is a restaurant at the marina but it was hard to find parking and you would have to walk through a bunch of private cabin trailers to get there. We skipped it. Campsite was quiet and not very occupied. Lots of stars. We stayed at the Homestead campground and there was a firepit, but nowhere to get wood that we were able to find. Cement picnic tables which were way more practical than traditional wood picnic tables.

I come here at least 2-3 times a year and it is a great shop. The food is great and the service is wonderful.

OMG people, go here!!! The owner is the sweetest thing and her store is fantastic! It has modern conveniences with the look and vibe of a long forgotten general store. Seriously, please go here! She is a local owner and people try to keep buying her out to make more junk and bulldoze the wonderfulness that is Rochford! Hopefully buying from her will keep her in business!!

Really nice little shop with a wide variety of items. Great place to stop in for a snack and a bottle of coke. It’s just a short walk from the Mickelson trail head in Rochford.

Wonderful little shop to stop and grab an ice cream on your way along the Mickelson Trail. Plenty of food/drink options, cold beers, and trinkets. Lady working there was very nice and we had a good conversation. This is the oasis.

Quaint little store, off the beaten path. Not actually a mall, just a little country store with typical store items, plus items those on the Michelson trail might need. Great stop, worth the drive.

I took a wrong turn on my motorcycle riding back roads on my way the Sundance, Wyoming. After riding about 10 miles of gravel roads I came across a cross roads where the bar and grill was. They were very friendly and helpful getting me back on route. I had lunch while I was there which was just average. They had an amazing selection of soft drinks to choose from. Almost like a soft drink bar. The decor was exciting and kept you engaged the entire time. They still use a wood burning barrel heater in the winter which I loved to see.

Oh my gosh! We found this little gem when we got lost today while riding our touring motorcycles. You feel right at home from the minute you walk up on the porch! Everyone is friendly and the appetizers were great. There is an added extra next door, The Happy Dog Cafe for ice cream and gifts. If we make it back to SD this will be a must on our list to stop at again! 😁 (It sits right along side the road, you cannot miss it.)

Stopped in for lunch during Sturgis 2025. The food was excellent, the way cheeseburgers are meant to be, the atmosphere was perfect and the servers were attentive, quick and friendly. You've got to put this place on your bucket list.

Moonshine Gulch Saloon is a great destination to stop for lunch or just enjoy the atmosphere! We stopped in at Moonshine Gulch Saloon while out trail riding. It's an enjoyable old saloon worth stopping at. There's plenty to look at on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. The food was decent and although fairly busy the service was great. I would recommend Moonshine Gulch Saloon to anyone traveling through the area looking for an old saloon with a lot of charisma!

A group of us rolled in frozen off of the George Mickelson Trail and had the best experience at The Moonshine. Amazing service and hospitality. The food was delicious. I will definitely be back!

Rochford a small town in the black hills with a general store and the Moonshine Gulch saloon In this place has lots of character with country charm. The food has the upmost goodness. I was planning to ask for dessert but the place filled up and more folks waiting outside the Mooshine, thought it be polite to give up my seat for the next person that is hungry also. The Lady's up front where so kind thank you and big thanks to the cook in the back end.

Excellent movie theatre for a small town price is great and I was surprised by the picture quality. Sound issue has been also been fixed Yaaay! I think this is the first time in my life I have bought a large popcorn and drink for under 10 dollars and adult ticket only $8 can't beat it! Cash only btw.

Great seats and the best true local movie theatre you can ask for. Sure, it plays the same movie all week. Sure, it's not the newest digital sound. Sure, it doesn't have an Imax attitude, but it's real! A lot of people reminisce about the old drive-in theatre and the experience that holds. This is that experience. True to its small town in price and venue, the Dogie theatre is the essence of what a theatre experience is about.

I grew up in Weston county. I remember going to the movies in Newcastle while growing up. The Dogie theatre was not exactly rundown when I was younger, but it definitely wasn't the best place. I went to a movie at the Dogie theatre for the first time in over ten years. I have to say, the atmosphere and renovations breathed new life into it. I was pleasantly surprised by the strides made to make it a comfortable place to see a movie.

Pretty average small single screen theater. Seating is very comfortable with more than enough room between rows. Popcorn is great FYI.

An extremely well run and cared for theatre! We feel fortunate to have such a wonderful place to enjoy an evening!!! Our children enjoyed the Dogie Theatre and now they take their own children...Try the popcorn it's the BEST!!!

Best theatre ever small not usually crowded and the concession stand is awesome less then 20 for popcorn and drinks and candy for the whole family of 4

The ones who run this theater are so fun. It's a family friendly place and great time for the movies to start, 7:00 pm !! Popcorn is always delicious!!

Super cute little museum that was FREE. There’s quite a bit there considering its size. The curator, Cindy, was super nice and talked extensively with us and made sure we saw everything we wanted to. Learned some new things about Wyoming history and saw quite a few neat artifacts, including a section on dinosaur fossils.

Wow! They have a HUGE selection of historical items from their own town! Everything from how a house use to look like to how the towns were built, they go over criminals and even talk about strange secret societies. It was Pretty neat!

Interesting artifacts from surrounding area. With nice person to answer questions. Even a few fossils found in the area.

It was a quality free museum relative to the Newcastle area that has a very intresting history.It is in a beatiful old stone building

Stayed overnight in the back lot as part of Harvest Host. The museum is very local, full of interesting stuff. Docent is great. Made this visit great. We love small local museums. This one is right up there. Donation based.

Free (donations) local museum located in a former armory. Well worth visiting. Good displays. Several outbuildings. They also have a nice brochure of a walking tour of town (a mile out and a mile back) that will give you some more information on historic buildings. Well worth a visit. Plan on 30-45 minutes for the museum alone.

Stunning in the simplest sense of the word. I could have stayed down there for hours. Our Ranger was knowledgeable and full of stories. The discovery tour (30 minutes for 14 dollars) was what we chose to do as we were somewhat limited on time. It was an amazing experience however next time I would do a longer tour. Note that the longer tour that descends 750 stairs does NOT require you to walk back up said stairs, there is an elevator to the lower level as well. The visitors center is small yet adequate in display the history of jewel cave.

Jewel Cave is now one of our favorite caves in the U. S. We took the Scenic Tour and were just blown away by the experience. The Ranger/ tour guide was fabulous and really took the time to make sure the visitors got to see and experience the cave features. The tour group was relatively small, with under 20 people, allowing everyone to see and hear the guide. The tour was about 1 hour and 20 minutes long, with a lot of stairs and walking. We suggest arriving at least an hour early so that you have time to watch the movie and see the exhibits before your tour starts. If not, you can do these things after the tour. There are also a couple of hikes you can take in the park. We bought our tickets almost two months in advance as the tours frequently sell out in advance. The parking lot is pretty large and will accommodate RVs and trailers.

I love caves. I’ve been to many caves. This one is a “dry cave”. Without water leaching through, there are very few formations. The “scenic” tour consists of many stairs to enter a few large cavities. The walls are covered in “jewels” but what you see are mostly bumpy side walls since the beauty is hidden under layers of dirt. Others said they already had been on the “lantern” tour first. It was so good they did this tour as a second chance to see the caves. Maybe take the “lantern” tour if you want to be amazed

We really liked this tour. The Rangers were really cool and made the tour really enjoyable. When comparing the caves, this one has more interesting things to look at than Wind Cave. The Scenic Tour was 740 steps, but we never felt winded or tires from the walk. They places stopping points throughout to rest. They refinished the steps recently and they are very sterdy with lots of hand rails. It was a great tour!

We chose to do the one hour, twenty minutes guided tour of this National Park Service site. Fascinating history and absolutely stunning formations, colors and textures inside the cave. Our guide was knowledgeable, interesting and kept us engaged throughout the tour. A must see!

Showed up late a day to gather info and a ranger gave us all the info we needed - including wonderful recommendations outside the cave locally as well. When online tickets are booked, you show up in person at 8a to get tickets at the booth by the parking lot - first come first serve. We arrived early the next day (745a) and got tickets for a 920a scenic route. A different ranger did an intro and he was a bit abrasive and annoying, but other than that all staff were friendly and helpful. Visitor center has shop, an exhibit, and rally point for cave tour. The ranger assigned for our tour was very funny, lighthearted and overall he was a great guide. The cave itself is really cool - I won't rehash the website but lots of formations and they go at a good pace. Ive had knee surgery and was able to do the scenic route well - stairways have double rails, and there are stops with benches.

We did the 1.5 hour scenic tour. It was fun, not too hard, and despite the fact that I have claustrophobia, I felt fine for the entire trip. Our guide was very good, and the paths were well-lit.

Nuts & Bolts is a small town gem! They have a great selection of fabric and many more in the back room. Leave hubby at home because you'll want to take plenty of time to browse through their fabric collections. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need lessons, they offer classes.

Such a cute museum of local town history. It’s much bigger than I expected. Each room was themed in their own way and I was like walking through time. A must stop for anyone.

We stopped by just to see what the museum had to offer since relatives lived in the town in 1910. The staff was very friendly and our grandchildren enjoyed the items on hand.

A very will stocked high quality fabric store with every color under the rainbow. Color family and hews are grouped together making color selection and matching easy. They have a bargain vault in the back (it was once a bank) which makes for that added fun factor. They offer classes and other fun programs. Staff is friendly and helpful, I enjoyed my time in this very beautiful store.

Fantastic quilt shop! If you're just driving through, this is a great place to get out of the car and buy some fabric. They carry tons of batiks and blenders, plenty of novelty fabrics (with special attention to Western theme), other designer prints, cuddly fabrics, lots of patterns and notions. Staff were friendly and attentive without getting in my way of shopping. Definitely worth a stop! Plus the downtown area has a bunch of painted quilt blocks which makes it fun for quilters.

They have a huge selection of awesome fabrics! A gem you just have to go check out. You can't find more friendly & kind ladies to help you find what you need! They also offer clinics so instead of having to take my sewing machine hours away to get it fixed, I could just drop it off at their store for the day when they brought someone in to service machines! Twice this year I have called Lickety Stitch with a focus fabric and asked them to pull coordinating fabrics for a project. Both times they pulled amazing fabrics for me. I love this shop even though I have not yet had the opportunity to visit them in person. It's quite a road trip for me. Just 1100 miles! Not surprising after seeing what other people are saying about Lickety Stitch Quilts, another 5 star review. What an amazing quilt store in such an unexpected location. Traveling through Lusk today I would never have guessed that there would have been such a unique quilt store located in this town. I drove an hour up from Gurnsey without seeing much other than a few ranches, and then there is this amazing quilt store. The owner shared that the "ranch ladies" in the area counted on them to be able to help keep them sane and to give them a break from all the work that has to be done on the ranch. The selection and quality of the products were amazing. There were some great kits, great fabrics, and great tools to help make quilters successful here. We ended up buying some of each of these items, loving some of the items that we have not seen in our local stores in the big metropolitan areas. The staff was very friendly and took a lot of time answering our questions and demoing some of the rulers and other accessories that are available at the store. The store will also ship your order home for you, so if you are traveling and do not have enough room in your suitcase, don't worry they will help you out. Also, do not fear falling in love with the store if you do not live nearby because it sounds like they have a great website and mail order delivery. Loved this store and highly recommend it.

Says families welcome but didn't see a sign on the outside saying smoking was allowed inside. We wouldn't have gone if that were the case. Families might be welcome but it is not a family friendly place to eat. We go to pubs a lot on road trips because they 'always' have the best food but we won't be coming back here. The service was great, both waitresses were nice. The burger was alright, tots and chicken were delicious, but the fries were bland and not tasteful and extra dipping sauce costs extra but they only fill the cups halfway.

Good service from the young lady who was bartending. She had some suggestions as far as local Wyoming beer which was nice. We had the Rocky Mountain oysters, original cheeseburger and a burger with pepper jack and green chile. The burger patties were massive at 3/4 lb and the price was right. I would say most definitely not “the best burger in the world” as stated by others but it was good and is definitely satisfying. Atmosphere is old school bar style and is comfortable. I recommend the black tooth brewing co “saddle bronc” brown ale.

Stopped by for food while traveling Dakotas to Colorado. Waitress was welcoming and friendly. The burgers were excellent!

I have to say we were pleasantly surprised at this small-town bar/restaurant. Very basic and unassuming when you walk in, but the burgers and tots are some of the best I've had. Super fresh burger with great flavor. The tots were crispy and not greasy at all. Service was via the bartender and she was awesome.

Great burger. Had the pork chile and I had the fire one. Fries were fresh. Burger was gigantic. Reasonable prices. Stop here if you’re passing through.

Just fair at best. We ordered a mushroom burger and a grilled ham and cheese. Burger was overcooked (they don’t ask you how you like it) and sandwich was so greasy I couldn’t eat it. Be aware, smoking is allowed inside.

This is a great museum. We found it by accident while traveling and I am glad we did. The volunteers who run this place do a really good job. There are a lot more exhibits than just the stagecoach. There are a lot of great examples of the way life was. There is street parking and with 60' of truck and trailer I was able to park with ease. I am glad we didn't miss it.

Amazing! We made it a point to stop in Lusk for this museum but we were shocked at all they had to offer. Free admission, donations welcomed. We actually spent an hour an a half looking at all they had to show. Well documented item, many lent by individuals and noted where or how they came to be there. Well worth the stop!

You would not know how extensive their collection is until you go in. It is the history of Lusk and Wyoming in a former military armory. They have everything for everyone including dinosaur fossils. It's as if the entire town donated their family heirloom and knick-knacks to make this museum what it is now. Love this museum.

Finding this museum was a fun surprise. We were road tripping through Wyoming and decided to check it out. The museum has a lot of fun western and historical exhibits. Tip: Find the antique gum ball machine, put a penny in it from the bowl next to it, and watch it work.

You could spend hours in there. Obviously alit if volunteers have done a great job of preserving and displaying history. I highly recommend leaving a donation since there is no charge fir admission. I left $20.

A must if you are near this Museum! We had a great time in this place. We were there couple minutes before closing coming back from South Dakota and crossing this little town, and a very nice lady came back, opened the museum let us in. Since you entered to the building the history starts with a bunch of antiques artifacts, furniture and equipments. You have to explore the building to go through other rooms and smaller houses inside the property. It was very cool to see the machines and the life style that people used to have decades ago. Thank you for keeping history alive! 😊

Super cool! Free admission, but donations are accepted. We loved the history here and the antiques. There's a piano and an organ, both of which are functional, in the main hallway. Besides the main building, there are three other buildings with really cool stuff. Go check it out!

What an absolute hidden gem of a golf course! Extremely well maintained, very fast pace of play, challenging or not depending on tee box chosen. This course has some of the best variety of golf holes out there, with beautiful views to boot!

This golf course is also a Harvest Host Stayed in the parking lot had a delish dinner All of the employees are friendly and did an outstanding job ! Hope we can come back one day.

Nice little restaurant with an extensive menu on the golf course. We had good service and the view to the mountains is lovely.

From the pro shop to the greenskeeper to the clubhouse, everyone here is friendly and welcoming. They also keep the course in great shape and fun to play. I always hear people from out of town commenting on how great Douglas' course it.

Beautiful spot with great views and a peaceful vibe! We really enjoyed our time at Guernsey State Park! The scenery was stunning, and the lake added that perfect touch of calm and beauty, especially at sunset, which was absolutely gorgeous. The campground was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. It’s Wyoming, so yes, a bit of wind comes with the territory, but it didn’t take away from the experience. A great place to unwind, explore, and soak up some seriously pretty views.

Absolutely worth visiting. There is no lack of stunning views here. My favorite place inside of the park is the castle It is a must see if you're visiting the park. There is plenty of access to the water and several relaxing coves along the way. Bring your sunscreen and soak in some sun.

This place was absolutely stunning and by far the best area I’ve ever seen for boats, campers, and jet skis. For just $7 you get a day pass at paradise and I truly enjoyed it. For those who just hike and don’t do water activities, this is still a great place with breath taking views. Just be warned, you should definitely get a map and be prepared for less hiking and more just views on cliffs. On my first trail right by the museum (which is okay) I was attacked by 50+ of this one bug that I don’t know the species of. Whenever you walk down the path they fly and hit you from both sides of the path all the way down. Very annoying even with bug spray on! Here are my top picks to go if you’re just looking for trails and views: North bluff trail,The castle, and directly below the water dam is an amazing view and even spot for fishing. It looks restricted, but it’s really not. Lastly, I recommend just driving through the whole area while being very careful of the narrow roads. Below are pictures of all 3 and I recommend this place for sure!

5 stars all the way. Guernsey is our go to place to get away and enjoy time on the lake with family and friends. Beautiful lake and super fun to do all the things camping, boating, tubing and exploring. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Love this getaway for me and my my family every summer!! ❤️❤️

This is a wonderful, quick stop to add to your trip. You get to see a couple different areas where the wagons eroded away the rock. There is a short loop to walk with information about the Oregon trail and the people who used it.

Very interesting stop on our way to Mr Rushmore. Lots of information signs to give you the history of the Oregon Trail. Drive a little further past to see Register Cliffs which I liked even better

Fascinating place. Worth a visit if you enjoy amazing history. Easy stroll to the top of the area where the ruts are. Restrooms available in the car park.

We didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted to since a bear was sleeping under a tree. Otherwise the experience was neat to see and an opportunity for the kids to see history

This is a legendery site on the Oregon Trail and it was fun to see how the wagons, traveling single file, made deep ruts into the rock as they attempted to cross the ridge. I had a little trouble finding the site, but that may be my fault. Google maps directed me to the turnoff for the Oregon Trail Ruts Historic sites. Similar to Windlass Hill in Nebraska, I pulled into the parking lot near the sign which said "Oregon Trail Ruts State Historic site" and took a very long walk (1/2 mile round trip) on a concrete path with benches and waste cans, it appeared to be a well maintained walking trail. I kept thinking I was going to see the ruts at any moment. When I finally reached a dirt road and no ruts (although a nice historic Oregon trail grave was nearby), I walked back to my car. I could see then that the sign pointed down a narrow gravel road to the historic site not to the parking lot. I drove down the gravel road 1/4 mile, turned left on a bigger dirt road and turned left again into the historic ruts site parking lot. It is a bit of a climb to the ruts, but well worth it. I am including a photo of the walking trail from the first small parking lot. It will eventually take you to the historic ruts (turn left at the road and turn left again into a larger parking lot), if you want a very long walk, but driving your car to the site will be easier.

Stopped by this little gem and was quite impressed!! If you're looking for some amazing have crafted REAL furs/hides or things made out of bone and leather, you really need to come here!! Everything was beautifully made and friendly helpful people here too. This is a must see while in town.

Stopped by on our trip. We absolutely loved the people and there products. More people should be like them and like the wonderful lady next door in Calamity Jane's next door. Very much enjoyed the visit.

Don't forget to stop by this place when visiting Fort Laramie. Not much to see but a piece of history.

It fascinates me and my dog every time we walk over it. I love taking my time and visualizing it's entire past, as well with the river. In any season, I adore this place. The park below is very well maintained, clean, quiet and serene.

A neat site near Fort Laramie. This site is about 2 miles from Fort Laramie. It is right off the road on you way to and from the fort. There is a small pullout with room for about 6 vehicles. It had and information board telling about the bridge. When we went there the leaves were yellow and it was a cool day out so it was very pretty. This is an iron bridge with wooden planking. You can walk out of the bridge and enjoy the sights and sounds from the middle of it. There is a 1.6 mile trail that leaves from the pullout. Worth the stop if you are going to Fort Laramie.

Another cool, yet small, bridge that is an important part of American history.

Super cool to see the 1876 built Army Iron Bridge at Fort Laramie National Historic Site! It's also the trail head for the Confluence Trail, a 1.6 mile loop by the North Platte and Laramie Rivers

The confluence trail is so much fun. It's a must if you come to the bridge!!

Really interesting place. Such important history happened here. Definitely felt like hollowed ground walking around. Very good signage describing what you are looking at. Additionally, the 19 minute video at the visitor center is very informative.

I visited Fort Laramie National Historic Site during the live event weekend, and it was such a great experience. The reenactments and demonstrations really brought history to life, and the staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable. It’s a beautiful place to explore and learn more about the people who lived and traveled through here. Definitely worth the visit!

A wonderful way to spend a day Viewing a historic place. Immersed in history, some of the buildings have been recreated as they once were, you are welcome to walk the grounds and view the buildings, there are also many books about the area. The native people's and the pioneers, as well as a short film, that's very informative.

Great site for adults and kids. Good little visitor center with a 18 minute video in theatre. Barracks, post office, jail, and officer houses were cool to see as they are setup with original articles and are very viewable. Barracks was great with sarsaparilla, root beer, and cream soda available. Be sure to get there by noon for the daily canon firing and informative introduction by park ranger.

It's a gem! Kinda hidden away but it's definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy history. Tons of artifacts and things to look at. There is some walking so dress accordingly. There isn't much shade from the summer sun so if bring an umbrella for comfort.

Well preserved historic fort where important events in American history occurred. The fort began as a trading post in the 1830s. It was purchased by the U.S. army in 1849 to protect the emigrants traveling to Oregon and California. It is a few miles off of highway 26. I had a little trouble finding the fort as Google maps first had me stop at the iron bridge, saying that was the fort, and it took awhile to figure out that it was much further down the road. It is an excellent site to learn about the U.S. army and Native Americans in the area in the mid-19th century. A nice walking trail loops around the historic buildings. You can go inside most of the buildings and rooms have glass barriers, so you can see the furnished rooms inside. I also liked the displays and photos on the eventual deterioration of the buildings when the fort closed in the 1890s and subsequent excavations and renovations. I highly recommend visiting the fort if old buildings and American history interest you.

What a great way to learn about the area’s history. A tremendous amount of care has gone into this place and it shows. There is a unique display of quilts. One 60th anniversary quilt is particularly well done and includes many personal remembrances. The cars, buggies and farm implements are well cared for

Small museum that is staffed by dedicated, knowledgeable volunteers. This museum does a lot to preserve the history of Wheatland, Platte County, and the agricultural roots of the community.

Amazing! We had a blast and will never trail ride anywhere else!

Made a reservation in a few weeks in advance. Had a very hard time getting into contact with them. We were very excited to spend some vacation time with our family horseback riding. The day of our ride comes we make several calls a few hours in advance with questions with no answer. So we figured they may be busy. We went up to the ranch. There was no one there at all we walked all over the ranch made several calls in attempt to contact and see if something cam up but no answer. We waited for awhile and no one showed up. The horses were not even set up for a ride. A few days later they get back to us saying they didn't think getting in a ride with them was important to us. That kinda threw us for a loop. Why would you not think it was important we made a reservation to take a ride with your ranch. We were really looking forward to this day. They seem to lack any care if they have business or not. Deffintly will take all horseback trail ridding to beaver meadows from now on. They are a fantastic ranch. A little bit further away from Cheyenne but we'll worth it!

We have been up twice now and plan to go next year. The beautiful scenery, easy-going staff and ownership, and well cared-for animals are what make this place unique. It doesn't feel touristy, and the prices are fair.

We tried to make reservations, got a run around. He said he will try to make it work and call us back at noon. He never did. We tried to call back twice! no one answered. The next day He calls and says "Do you want us to pay for the steaks you did not eat?" That has to be the worst customer service ever!! Who does this? You either have space or not, you can not hint that maybe it will work for you. Then never confirm the reservations. On the first phone call while trying to make reservations ( their web site says reservations needed) we are told cash only they do not take cards, when he called us trying to get us to pay for a dinner we did not get. He asked us for a credit card number over the phone!! So do you take cards or not? Or was this some scam by one of the employees. We will never go there and can not recommend them.

The ride was wonderful. The scenery was beautiful. So much better than riding near the interstate with a different company.

Beautiful park! The debit card machine was down and I didn’t have cash. The man working the visitor center was very helpful. The restrooms were clean. Trails were beautiful and worth every entrance penny. The aspens were beautiful in early October.

Great place to hike! I did two miles while my husband got in a six mile trail ride on his mountain bike! All of the trails are well maintained and it’s so beautiful!

Spent the day hiking. Beautiful scenery and loved the view on the way to Hidden Falls. Be prepared to get in the water to see the waterfall. End of Sept the water was chilly but worth it! Water was about knee deep.

If you haven't put this on your bucket list, you really need to. The drive to the place is absolutely stunning from either direction that you come. The colors in Wyoming are so diverse that almost any picture you take could be entered into a picture contest highly recommended for the outdoors type.

The trails are super for hiking and biking. The lake is awesome for kayaking. The entire park is immaculate and very peaceful. Wonderful, friendly staff. Can't say enough good things
