I took my daughter who has Down syndrome here and they were fabulous!!! She has therapeutic riding experience and we were looking for just a trail ride , a treat for my own birthday, mother/daughter time 💕 It was perfect -so relaxing…lessons and horse shows can be stressful so it was nice to watch her simply enjoy the horse. Nice to ride myself and not just watch her…Beautiful horses Cowboy Tony was awesome!! Left feeling refreshed and happy, had a great ride. Highly recommend!!

I loved everything about my stay. I stayed for 4 days for a full ranch experience and I got everything I hoped for and more. Accommodation was very comfortable. I was welcomed like a guest, not like a tourist, I ate all my meals with them. It really felt like I was part of the family. I came to ride and I definitely spent a lot of time on a horse. Ranging from 3h to 7h a day depending on the number of rides you choose to do. I also took a private lesson with Trina that was really good. Even got to try a little bit of roping. My horse Dante was amazing, very nice to ride and well trained. Ron and Trina are amazing, they took me to Tombstone on Saturday so I could visit the city and they even invited me to a bull riding event. I wish I could have stayed longer, there is so much to do. I definitely recommend this ranch, it was my best horse riding experience.

Hannah and Gary were great guides. They were very good at giving instructions and made everything very easy. Everyone there is super friendly. They took us on a beautiful ride. Highly recommend, I will definitely be returning.

Very personalized and special. More like riding with a new friend than a company. I really really enjoyed connecting with the horses, dogs and people and the views were better than any expectation. I appreciate the flexibility and thoughtfulness. The other people who were going on another trail ride seemed to already be close with the horses and the staff

We had a delightful experience at the Double R Ranch on the day before Thanksgiving. We're from the East Coast (that's me, my wife, and our two adult children), so we had NO idea what to expect, only that the reviews were good and that we wanted to go for a horseback ride. It was all we could have asked for and more. I bought the sunset ride with dinner. The ranch hands were friendly and professional (two of them accompanied us on our hour+ ride along the Arizona trails). It was beautiful, austere, rugged, and right out of the old West! Ron (the owner) gave us some instruction before departure, and the whole thing was very straightforward. My steed (Max) knew the drill and performed like a Double R Ranch professional, as did the other mounts in my family's party. As the sun set, we returned to the ranch for dinner. Family-style arrangement that we shared with another family who were there for extended lessons over a series of days. Great food and lively conversation as we supped and got to know one another . . . just like in the movies when strangers gathered in a western hotel for a meal. The day was a great success, because as we drove home, EVERYONE was very pleased and content. There was talk of buying a ranch and riding horses. We were all energized! Thanks to Ron and Trina and the rest of the staff. The family and I give the Double R Ranch our highest recommendation.

This place was amazing. I do not normally write reviews even though I’m very adamant about reading them but this place deserves all the praise. They were kind hearted people with all intent to please their guests. The help was super kind and very knowledgeable. We went on the sunset ride with a great tour guide who led us into the beauty of Arizona. They seemed to pair us with all the right horses as well. I rode bright eyes, which is only six and she was definitely curious as to what the world had out there and loved to snack. I tried to take charge till she hypnotized me with those eyes and I couldn’t resist to just let her have a snack or two along the trail. Other than her love for snacks she was perfectly behaved and a pleasure to ride. On our return she gave me hugs and snuggles as I thanked her for giving me the joy of riding her. We came back to dinner which was fantastic with great company of fellow riders, the cook, and our lovely tour guide. I think that is the best apple pie I have ever had in my life. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family and will definitely be back for more of their services. Thank you so much for a fabulous experience and thanks for having us on your beautiful piece of property, I can’t wait for my next trip out there!

The Thursday market has a great selection. Eggs, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee, and fresh produce as well as some good food. To just to make a few.

Small farmers market not many vendors. They do have a decent selection of different goods, however. Merchants are always polite and welcoming.

I’ve been looking for a natural stain remover with no avail until I visited the market and found Nomad Sisters. Their stain remover bar is holistic magic!! I used it on old, set stains I had thought were lost causes… and boom my bench cushions look brand new again. Many other noteworthy vendors as well, including Baja Arizona Sustainable Agriculture (the Mesquite Bean “coffee” was so good!). Special shout out and thank you to those providing local eggs and produce!

The usual stuff sold by the usual suspects in farmers markets around the country, I'm sure. Worth a visit, but it's more something to do between ten and two. We go up and pick up some vegetables occasionally and maybe a bag of nuts.

Not the quantity and variety of fruits and produce that I was looking for. Most pre-made baked goods and meals were very expensive.

Site 44 (ours) was very unlevel/ 6” leveling ramps still was not enough! Website should apply this info on each space; take the time to do so! We left early because of this and no refunds! Website gives no idea if level or need super high lifters; awful! I have vertigo so it was not fun. Unless you personally go to rv park and chk each one, you may get one like ours that is more than 6” off! Be prepared. Campsite is clean, shower water is hot but hubby says in mens bathroom toilet paper rolls are in a “ weird place so legs are catiwompass while sitting”…. Odd they would do that. $50 a night tho makes it hard to wanna go back. Nice views of mountains and they have a loop for hiking so that is nice. The unleveled lots make this hard to come back to not knowing if you choose online a decent spot… in pics they all look level. Beware! No one expects more than 6 inches!!!!! Also do not drink the water or use for cooking. Had brown , gray water with sediment come out. Use bottled water for cooking or drinking or coffee!

One of, if not the best State Park in the system. The cave tours are excellent. The campground is top notch with well spaced sights. The surrounding area is rich in historical sites, and the Sonoita opportunities for food (The Copper Brothelbrew pub), wine, and distilleries is a great adult day trip. And, the incredible Empire Ranch is also near Sonoita. Wildlife opportunities are abundant both summer and winter. We really enjoy White Water Draw in the winter to see 10's of thousands of Sandhill Cranes. So, its just not the cave and campgrounds - there is a vast area to explore.

Great experience on our cave tour today! Our guide Rich was knowledgeable and funny! It was great to learn about the history and geology of the cave system. We’re planning a trip back when we can visit the Great Room (closed this time of year for the bats). Also enjoyed a short walk on one of the trails. Beautiful area!

This is a nice park, plenty of hiking trails, not far from tombstone and Sierra vista. Cave is cool but not much else to do except hang out . Spots are big and lots of privacy so you can let it all hang out if you like, after dark gets interesting careful where you look you might get an eye full, just because Rv windows are tinted real dark doesn’t mean you can’t see through them at night especially if your inside lights are on. So bring your cards or Yahtzee or board games. Leave your inhibitions at home. No judgement here.

One of the best state parks to enjoy a few days camping, have stayed in #16, #1 and last weekend #4. Always a five star experience and with hosts like Paul and Melinda all was perfect, but here is my very unfortunate con. Having enjoyed the cave tours, either one is great, this time our 230pm tour included a very unruly child that was much to young and much to spoiled. Could barely hear the information given by Brody our guide and constantly ran back and forth on the stops we were supposed to be enjoying. I do believe this child has never heard the word no. No negative reflections towards staff at all and we will continue to return to this campground and complete more tours

The caverns are stunning and a must see! Amazing creation by God! I'm from OR and have been through the Oregon caves many times and the explored the lava beds in CA, so I'm used to the caves being very cold, so I came all bundled up and with my heavy coat and the ranger told us when we bought our tickets that it would be hot and humid inside! I was shocked 😳. After we were done with the cavern tour, we went on one of the trail loop hikes. It made it a great day!

I have a great imagination, and I look/read everything at a museum. First, the 7 minute movie I was watching was ruined by the sound of a jackhammer right outside the window. Then, my museum experience was ruined yet again because the staff felt it was important to store current day goods next to or in the midde of the displays. Because of disruption and ruination of my experience, I thought the fee was a little high, but understand that money is needed to protect our history. There is a sign on the door that warned of noisy construction, but nowhere was there a sign that said, "As your thoughts take you back in time, and your daydreaming about court house shenanigans in the 1800's, never mind the 2025 polo shirts hanging out next to the judges desk." Now, imagine my eye roll.

Visiting Tombstone Courthouse State Park is a great experience stepping back in time to the Old West..The abandoned town lives again with a museum..reenactment and a real west feeling.☆☆☆☆☆

You can feel the history in this building in every room. I recommend sitting in the courtroom for a few moments and imagine the things that were said or yelled in that room.

We had a really good time at the OK Corral. The gunfight reenactment was so much better than I had expected. The museum collection was impressive. I wish we had spent a little more time there. So much to see.

So much fun! The gun fight was Awesome. Perfect for a family day. There are three shows a day retelling the gun fight at O.K. Corral. There is also a mini museum of the history of Tombstone's hayday 😉

The show was worth the price of entry ($10 pp over 5). Very comical but the history lesson behind it was very interesting as well. My children 10, 8, & 5 all stayed entertained the whole 30 min. Gun shots are loud in the "arena"

We had such a great time at the show. It was funny, the acting was amazing, and it kept us entertained from beginning to end. After the show we went on a tour and learned so much about the history of Tombstone. The guide made everything easy to understand and very interesting. It is a fun and educational experience for all ages. We truly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tombstone.

Very entertaining with comic relief. Guns shoot blanks and can be scary to small children (like 2 and under for sure). Lots of fun places before you enter for kids to climb and play. Lots of photo opportunities.

There us more history than just the gun fight at the OK coral on Oct 26, 1881. It's all great and you feel like you can almost touch it.

This theatre offers a truly unique and thrilling ghost-hunting experience, and I absolutely loved it! The biggest highlight by far was the woman who led the tour she was incredible. Her energy, storytelling, and deep knowledge of the local history made the entire experience feel authentic and captivating. She brought just the right mix of spookiness, humor, and historical insight, keeping everyone engaged the whole time. The atmosphere of the theatre added to the eerie charm, and the ghost-hunting equipment made it feel interactive and fun. Even if you're a skeptic, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement. Overall, it was a memorable and entertaining night, and I’d highly recommend it especially thanks to the amazing guide who truly made the experience come alive.

The Birdcage Theatre – Tombstone, Arizona If Tombstone is the heart of the Wild West, then the Birdcage Theatre is its cathedral. Think of it as the Lambeau Field of football or the Carnegie Hall of music—the place where history, legend, and atmosphere all come together. Many museums claim “nothing has been touched” over the years, but few deliver. The Birdcage does—and in spades. Walking inside feels like stepping directly into the 1880s. Hundreds of authentic items remain in place from nearly 150 years ago. The rooms, the furniture, even the air carries the weight of the stories that shaped the American West. It’s not just a museum—it’s living history. On a personal note, I experienced something here I’ve never felt elsewhere. While exploring the basement on a daytime self-guided tour, I had a haunting encounter I can’t easily explain. I’m not someone who buys into things quickly, but this one gave me chills. If you’re interested in the paranormal, this place more than delivers. Overall, this is the experience of Tombstone. Worth every bit of the entrance fee, even in the 2020s. Take your time, let the history sink in, and if you only see one thing in Tombstone, make it the Birdcage. I’ll be returning—again and again.

My husband and I are avid travelers and obsessed with paranormal investigations. This did not disappoint! I know I sound crazy to some but for those that have experienced it themselves completely understand me- I walked to one side (away from the group) and immediately felt like a 50 lb weight was on my stomach. I walked towards my husband and told him what just happened, immediately took a picture of the area where I felt the unusual feeling. I captured a ghost on camera! I captured several orbs, one entire human figure and one mist over the Black Moriah. Well worth every penny and every minute spent- it was the highlight of my trip!

This is the original building of The Bird Cage Theatre. It was built in 1881 and is now a museum, but retains a lot of the original theater details. We found the exhibits fascinating and really enjoyed the museum. There is also a nice gift shop loaded with Tombstone souvenirs.

Historic, Haunting, and Totally Worth the Visit. During our trip to Tombstone, we stopped by the Bird Cage Theatre—and it did not disappoint! Hearing the history of the building, seeing the original bar still marked with bullet holes, and viewing the old paintings and artifacts really brought the Wild West to life. The stories behind the place are fascinating, and it’s incredible how much has been preserved. If you’re in Tombstone, this is definitely a must-see spot for a deeper, more vivid look at its past.

I spent a solid three hours here taking in every detail—and if they weren’t closing for the day, I would’ve stayed longer. If you’re in Tombstone and skip the Bird Cage Theatre, you’re missing out. Period. Ignore the cheapskates whining about the $18 admission—it’s worth every cent if you have even a remote appreciation for history. This place is a time capsule, and absolutely essential if you want to understand the real Tombstone.

East Allen Street runs dead through the center of historic Tombstone Arizona. Walking down this street really feels like being transported to the old Wild West days of Wyatt Earp and his brothers. Many of the structures are original. What’s really great is that this is a living neighborhood preserved in time.

We visited here during the week so a lot of the shops were closed which was disappointing. But what was open was the okay corral and that was fantastic. We also did the horse and carriage ride which was relaxing, fun The driver was our tour guide and was very informative as we rode down some of the downtown streets.

It's a very fun place.

There's no parking on the street itself as its roped off. However, this street is one of the highlights in Historic Tombstone and it's where most of the hubbub and fun is. Each side of the street is jam-packed with stores, mini museums, and yummy restaurants, etc. There's a lot to see and walk through, and the sidewalk is accessible. For parking, you can park on the nearby streets, or park at the lot that a little ways behind the courthouse. Note though, it's very crowded here even on an early afternoon on the weekend. It's nice for people watching though and you can see some of the horse-drawn carriages here and some Western-dressed people.

I live on Allen Street here in Tombstone Arizona in the old hoptown district that was once ruled by China Mary. The sunsets here are absolutely phenomenal as well as the sun rises.... Come enjoy a weekend or even a day trip to Tombstone Arizona you won't be sorry.... There are so many cool shops here not to mention the restaurants and saloons...

We found our visit to Boothill Graveyard to be very interesting. Fortunately the graves were covered with rocks to prevent animals from digging. This also made locating them easy. Many of the tombstones have been restored and a few have pretty humorous messages.

Boothill Graveyard – Tombstone, AZ Just outside of Tombstone, Boothill Graveyard brings you face-to-face with the real people who shaped the Wild West. Standing only feet from their resting places makes the history feel tangible, yet it’s less macabre than you might expect—especially if you’ve studied the history or enjoyed the classic Western films. I recommend saving this stop for the end of your Tombstone visit. It provides a sense of closure, showing not only how the legends lived but also how their stories ended. As a bonus, the grounds are dotted with beautiful examples of Sonoran Desert cacti, making it a rewarding visit for history lovers and plant enthusiasts alike.

This was my husband's and my favorite stop in Tombstone. We were greeted by a friendly man who was running the gift shop. He kindly showed us a map of the town and alerted us to areas not to be missed. The woman selling the tickets into the cemetary was very informative. She spoke animatedly about those who are laid to rest there. We enjoyed our walk through the graveyard. I was particularly moved by the Jewish memorial. This graveyard illuminates the lives of people who were brave or crazy enough to settle the west.

A Fascinating Step Back in Time We visited Tombstone and had such a great time learning about the history of the town. After hearing the stories and seeing the sights, we were inspired to visit the Boothill Graveyard to see where many of the town’s famous figures are buried. It really brings the Old West to life. It was a unique and memorable visit—definitely worth it if you’re into history or just want to experience something different and authentic. Tombstone has a charm all its own!

$6 to enter and dogs are allowed. They give you a pamphlet to tour the graves that tells you what happened to most and there were so many violent deaths. Very peaceful resting place. There is a gift shop with clean restrooms.

The cemetery itself is 100% a place to stop and see. The pamphlet with information on those laid to rest here is very interesting and really shows how brutal life in the 1880s could be. However before coming, probably call and check their hours are correct. We were all but locked into the graveyard at what we thought was an hour early of closing (it was 5pm). When we rushed back to the building upon realizing it the lady closing the store was a bit harsh. The store was shut down lights off doors locked. She said they were at their winter hours. Which were not posted anywhere, and no one said anything to us when we got our tickets to enter. The lady’s response was to “go online to wherever it’s wrong tell them” so I guess here I am posting to beware of hours and let you know they will lock you in. Posting a photo with the hours for today, still showing they are open til 6, they are not! Worth the stop but super bummed we didn’t get our souvenir as we collect one everywhere we go.

As a longtime fan of Western films and history, visiting Boothill Graveyard was such a unique and interesting experience. Walking among the old tombstones, reading the epitaphs, and soaking in the rich history of Tombstone felt like stepping back in time. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves the Old West and wants to see a piece of real frontier history!

What a very beautiful landscape! We didn't get a chance to check out the museum or art gallery as we came in a little late in the day. But the short hike we did do was very beautiful! Lots of trails here to explore! This is a privately owned location so access to the trails costs about $12 per person. It is well worth it as they keep the trails up very nicely! Access to the museum and art gallery is an additional cost. Children 10 and under are free. Staff was very pleasant. We will definitely be exploring this area again in the near future! Bikes are not allowed on the trails. We did bring my 3-year-old 's balance bike and carried it 90% of the way. We didn't realize bikes weren't allowed until we got back to the car and seen the sign. That is literally right in front of the trail. 😂

Cool place, lots of artists work, artifacts and pottery. Plenty of parking not far off the highway, Rv parking. Trails and picnic areas. Cool old cemetery. 10 bucks a person for seniors.

This was a great experience, and hiking the outdoor trails through parts of Texas Canyon was great time. The outdoor scenery was fantastic, as well as the exhibits inside the museum. Although no phots allowed inside, be sure and take lots of pics on the trails.

Went out with a friend on Friday, a first visit for both of us. It was an amazing experience. The museum and gallery are extremely well maintained and educational. The amount of artifacts on display is large, especially the jewelry, with information on each piece. A lot of history here, but no photos allowed. There is also a nice gift shop by the entrance. We brought our lunch and drove around back to the picnic area where there were tables under the mesquite trees and a restroom. We saw several gila woodpeckers and a vermillion flycatcher. We stopped at the cemetery on our way out. The trails were closed due to fire hazard, but we plan to come back when they are open, possibly after the monsoons.

2nd visit, the historical and contemporary exhibits are interesting. I was glad to see the museum adding a lift. The adjacent Art Gallery boasts works of known and new artists, displaying various techniques and mediums.

This was truly one of the most spectacular museums I’ve ever seen. No photos inside the museum was tough but I get it. Not only the museum, but that landscape surrounding is breathtaking. Make sure to go to the picnic area and take the serenity. This is a stop along the journey that I’ll never forget.

Very pretty. “Closed for the season”. Don’t know what that meant but we hiked around and found the plant identification trail. That was great. The road is rough. Not for RVs or very low cars. You will cross several “creeks”. It had rained the 3 days prior so there was some water in them. Saw a few deer. I can understand how Cochise could keep people safe there. Crazy terrain. TAKE LOTS OF WATER on the hike. If you have dogs, on leash should be observed.

A wonderful hike! 11 miles total to the other side and back. The elevation was not to terrible. The high climb was on the way back from the west side back to the middle trail. Very scenic and beautiful. There could of have been better trail and distance markings on each side of the trail head. It would of been nice to see some paper maps too. Over all a beautiful, clean, and adventurous hike.

Very scenic. The road going in is rough, so be prepared, but it is well graded. A creek runs throughout the area so don't drive here if it has recently rained or the road is flooded in several spots. The campground is small and well maintained. Not suitable for large rigs. There are choices if walking trails. One is a concrete walkway trail, about .25 miles long with information kiosks and lovely views. There are also concrete walls with sitting areas. Great for anyone with walking challenges. The Nature Trail begins to the left of the restrooms with a monument to Cochise and a pretty walking bridge spanning the creek. The trail is easy but has steps so not suitable for wheelchairs or walkers. It is beautiful! Off of that trail is a much longer trail that I am told is 5 miles round trip but is very challenging with steep grades. We saw a lot of couples with dogs hiking. Lots of history lessons here.

This hike is beautiful. If you are hiking from the east side, it is a little over 3 miles to the top. It is a climb up.... but nothing too crazy. Wonderful views and several stream crossings. If you go over the divide to the west trail head, it will add about 1.75 additional miles to your outbound trek. It is a steep climb from the west back to the top.

10 mile round trip hike to the road on the west side and back to campground on eastside. The trail to the top was in good condition with several stream crossings. The trail from summit to the west was overgrown with grass and weeds in places but passable. Nice views of several rock formations along the trail.

We rented the Shaw House for two nights. The house has three bedrooms - one with a double bed, one with a double futon and one with two sets of bunkbeds with full size beds on the bottom. There are two additional futons in the living room so it can sleep a lot of people. There are two bathrooms each with a shower. The weather was nice so we didn't need the space heaters or fans. We spent a lot of time outside. During the day we moved our camping chairs to shady areas and at night we sat at the picnic table and around the fire ring where we roasted marshmallows. Wood was provided and can be used in the indoor fireplace or outside. There is also a propane grill. The house had a broom, mop and shop vac hidden away in the closet. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with plenty of plates, silverware and lots of pots, pans and kitchen utensils. There aren't many coffee mugs so bring your own if you need more than a couple.

Nice slow reasonably easy hike... we were there during a time when snow was on the ground... very pretty... took lots of pictures.

At the time of this review, Bowlin's Travel Center's hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The staff is very friendly. It's conveniently located right off Interstate 10. The restrooms are clean and tidy. The large driveway and parking lot is a little rough, something you should know if you're riding a motorcycle. There's plenty of parking for both cars and trucks. There are eight gasoline pumps for cars. At the time of this review, only regular unleaded fuel ( 87) was available. The price of gas seems slightly higher than other locations in the area. The location is a combination of things. It's a museum, souvenir shop, and mini mart. If you're looking for Southwest, dinosaur related, alien related, and/or knick knack souvenirs, this is your place. There's a Dairy Queen joining the location. The hours of the restaurant may be different than the travel center.

Wow 🤩 as a kid my Dad would not spend the money !! He said it was a gimmick to get people to come in, Well he was right and So what !!! Yes I paid my $5 and saw it all and you know ow they said take all the pictures you want so here you go. This Road Side Show IS worth going to and the Gift Shop has 2 of everything you never knew you needed !!! Take a road trip break here and take a Dilly bar in the car !! Dad this chocolate on the seat is for you !😆😆🤣

Awesome Store!! Definitely not a gas pump it’s a great experience for the family. This Thing has everything from rocks to fireworks, even a DQ. So cool just wished we had more time but I hear the museum is cool. Well until next time

This is my Go To rest stop whenever I travel. It is big, bright, beautiful and clean! Plus the people there are always nice and helpful. Do grab a bag or 3 of the candied pecans, almonds, and cashews. They are the best I've ever had from anywhere. Plus if you're into oddities, the exhibit of "The Thing" is probably right up your alley. If you're hungry the DQ has you covered with burgers fries, chicken strips, etc., and of course a variety of yummy ice cream concoctions to satisfy any hankering and sweet tooth!

This is a must stop!!! I love the billboard advertising along the highway and was 100% intrigued. Upon stopping, you will find the neatest gift shop with so many different things, really clean bathrooms, friendly staff, the most fun museum for $5. I don't want to spoil the fun - just stop in and check it out.

Very interesting gift shop/museum! We started seeing signs for "The Thing" and the kids were excited when we finally reached the building with the mysterious creature! We did the tour and it was fun! Prices were $10 per family or $5 per person. They also had a Military deal. If your passing by I highly recommend you check it out!

It was interesting. I had seen the signs but never stopped before. It is $5 to see the museum. The staff is very friendly. There are so many knickknacks to buy at the gift shop. There is also a burger place. The has os Shell. So you cam take care of all your needs here.

We went to pick peaches. It was SOOOOO hot out. And there was a couple sections that didnt have anything ripe or had been picked too much before we got there. It was fun for the experience and would do it again in cooler weather.

Great experience for picking your own fruits 🍎 🍐. You get to use their pull cart. Their restaurant was more of a kiosk type. A bit of a disappointment for me, but to each their own. No indoor dining. After a hot Arizona summer day of picking fruit you sit under a Ramada with no cooling mist

A must stop ! Great experience at any age . Fresh pies , fresh apple donuts , fresh picked apples , candles , spices , jams , flowers, and sooo much more . Absolutely beautiful .

2nd time going. First visit was better. This visit was not the same experience as before. The apples were either already picked or rotting on the trees. The ones the orchard picked were also not ripe yet. I hope in the future they can provide better experiences for the customers.

Drove to Apple Annie's Saturday from Phoenix, as their website announced apples were available to be picked. I really talked this place up to my boyfriend, who had never been to an apple orchard in his life. It was very busy, but the man I spoke to at their information booth directed me to the "Granny Smith" and "Pink Lady" sections of the orchard. He even pointed out where to find the picking baskets. Imagine our complete disappointment to find out, upon arrival, that there weren't ANY apples to pick, as the trees were all bare. There were plenty of disappointed faces trudging back from the orchard with NOTHING, so we weren't the only ones to find out this way. I went back to the information booth, where I found out that Apple Annie's knew all the apples were gone WEEKS BEFORE... That they had a "bad bumper crop this year." Their website said NOTHING (my boyfriend made sure to screenshot). Supposedly, I was told they had updated their Facebook page that morning, which was too bad since I don't have Facebook. I looked around me and seen that Apple Annie's still had Cider donuts, brats and gift shop items available for purchase. Well OF COURSE! Could it possibly be that they had intentionally misled the public, that they had an overstock of products made in China that they needed to get rid of in order to break even? I would've felt sorry for Apple Annie's, maybe even bought some stupid souvenir or a donut, except that I just don't like being LIED to! I think it's APPALLING that this business seems to have pulled the classic "bait and switch"on the public. Even if they got away with it, personally I will never talk this place up again! FOR SHAME, APPLE ANNIES!! You should've been honest with your public and yes, many people would've stayed home, and no, you probably wouldn't have broke even on your inventory this year. But INTEGRITY is EVERYTHING! I bought NOTHING from you on Saturday, and I will never come back.

Amazing park i never knew existed! Very beautiful and peaceful. There is an amazing almost 10mile hike with campgrounds that definitely warrent a camp trip. Also, shorter trails up on top where the views are most excellent! We plan to come back for sure, but we were just driving through. Even if you only have an hour or so to spare, there is a very scenic drive you can take to the top that's well worth the visit. Also, the NP agent inside was super nice and informative. Great park!

After a fiasco at saguaro national Park due to government shutdown I found redemption at chirocahua. Amazing rock formations due to eruption and water and ice whethering. Completely possible to drive/hike instead hike hike 😄. Only some indoor sites like the ranch were affected by the shutdown. Camp ground seem to be open as well. All around a great find.

Very beautiful location such a neat ecosystem after coming from Tucson. Very windy when we were there but lots of hiking trails and vistas to explore. We loved the grottos with our little ones, great rocks to climb.

A very special place. Campsites and facilities well maintained and inviting. Park staff very knowledgeable and helpful. As good as any national park. The less popular trails are 100% worth doing. Hike everywhere you can you won't regret any of them. Bring about $100 for the giftshop, its got some cool stuff and the prickly pear gummy bears are 10/10.

Off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. This was an amazing park! The grottoes were worth the hike! Hardly any people on the trail. This is a hidden gem!!

Arrived just after the visitors center closed, but grabbed a map (accessible just outside the center) and got to the top of massai point. There’s a small building there that shares history/general information plus great 360 views. The echo canyon loop has incredible views before sunset.

Went here on a beautiful December weekday 2024. The gravel road to get there was not that bad. Did it easily with a small SUV. Pretty sure not 4x4 or anything. Hike from parking lot to the visitor center and fort ruins was 45 mins tops, and not like I am a super hiker, and that also included some stops for pics and sightseeing. Not the best of the 410 national parks I have been to, but still really great. Quite peaceful and relaxing. Only saw a handful of people during my whole visit. Visitor center small but had some good displays. Enjoyed the views from the rocking chair on the visitor center porch. Water and restrooms and a small gift shop at the VC. Was going to take the back/scenic route back but totally forgot. Overall, a rewarding 2-hour visit.

Fort Bowie is where the wars with the Apache started when a 2nd Lieutenant accused Chief Cochise if kidnapping a young boy. Full of history and ruins with a Ranger to share the history. Has a small museum inside the visitor center. Worth the trip if you like history. You can hike the 1.5 mile trail in or drive close to the visitor center.

It’s always good to learn some history about what happened in your own country. I’ve never visited so many forts and monuments in my life until I bought the national Park pass book and started collecting stamps. Many places I had already gone in the past but now we are revisiting some of the old and welcoming the new. Visitor center was not open, but you could still do your own walking tour.. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Great place for a short hike. This is the location of the battle of Apache Pass, between the Apaches and the California Column. Old and New Fort Bowie are located here, just across from the Ranger Station.

Its better than you think it would be. The surrounding scenery is spectacular and there is so much historical information. The best way to experience Bowie is to hike from the trail head. There is a road leading up to a parking area near the visitors center but the hike allows you to enjoy everything in the area and the scenery. At this time the visitor center is only open Sunday and Monday. You can go anytime and see the everything but the visitor center has a must see museum inside and souvenirs if you want.

Visited during government shutdown. Although the visitor center was closed, the trails and bathrooms were open. Visited on a Monday afternoon and I was the only person there. Hiked around the old fort buildings and along the three mile trail out to the cemetery and along overlook ridge. Good views and signage along the way to provide historical insight. Would strongly recommend hiking the trail. I had cell service at the VC but lost signal on the trail. Great place to visit to get a sense of history in the late 1800s.

Simply amazing place, stunning scenery, history of the Butterfield mail coach in the 1850s and the relevance of the site in terms of the thirst quenching Apache Spring.

This is our second visit to Roper Lake. As last year, the people at the lake were great. Friendly and helpful. The park was clean which is the usual way we find all the state parks! The weather was perfect... Warm in the day and cool at night. Casa Manana in Safford lived up to their reputation with a great meal for all of our group. The only downside was the lake level was down about 6 feet from last year. This meant the little cove we liked to kayak into to watch the birds was no longer accessable. We still kayaked the lake and enjoyed our time on the water. Another successful outing for our club at Roper Lake State Park! Thank you to the lake staff!!

I absolutely love this lake! It’s the perfect spot to swim, sunbathe, and fully embrace your inner beach bum. The water? Amazing. The vibes? Immaculate. The sun? Ready to give you that golden glow (or a mild sunburn if you forget the sunscreen learn from my mistakes). One of the best parts? The picnic tables everywhere, so you can lounge like royalty and snack on something delicious before or after your swim. Because let’s be real nothing hits quite like a lakeside feast after spending hours in the water. Parking is super affordable at just $10 per car, but heads up they do not accept Discover card. I, unfortunately, found that out the hard way and had a brief moment of financial panic. Bottom line: This lake is a must visit if you’re looking for a perfect place to soak up the sun, splash around, and live your best summer life. 10/10, highly recommend (just bring a Visa or Mastercard, trust me).

Very nice State Park. Very clean, spacious campgrounds and facilities. We saw quite a variety of pretty birds.

Great fishing, great staff and absolutely the cleanest camping experience ever.

Great Cabins with air conditioners and clean bathrooms. Lake is small and has a nice swimming area. We stayed over the Fourth of July. And walked to the Mariah Mesa to watch fireworks for Safford and the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a fun place to go for the weekend. Plenty of things to do. Fishing, canoeing, take your boat out, playing in the lake or kicking back on your tube. Hacienda campground just got their bathrooms redone. They’re in the process of doing the other one. Rv Sites have electric and water. I really enjoy this place.

First time visiting Roper Lake State Park. Stayed in one of the premium cabins, Hummingbird. Park is well maintained and very, very impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms and showers. Would have rated five stars if trash cans were available closer to the cabins. Was going to reserve again for later in the year but see they have doubled the nightly rate. Checked Dead Horse Ranch State Park and cabins have not increased similarly, going back to Dead Horse.

Two great museums in one! The Apache museum has great artifacts and an informative time line. The desert museum has a great collection of art, live reptiles and displays. There is also an outdoor garden with live animals to view. My only suggestion is that the garden and outdoor animal area could use some real cleaning up. It is all very overgrown and the animals are almost impossible to see.

Awesome museum and collection of captive snakes in great enclosures, super cool stuff in the gift shop, and a beautiful garden with a great diversity of wild lizard species living in it. One of my favorite places from my trip to AZ/NM!

Chiricahua Desert museum very nice place to stop on your way up to portal. I did not actually go into the museum there is a fee for the museum part. But there is a beautiful Desert garden with fountains and various type of cacti. There is a large well-stocked gift shop with some interesting unique gifts. And it has some picnic tables outside a great place to stop on the way up to cave Creek Canyon.

If you like snakes this is the place to go! Many different species of snakes to view. Open daily. We paid $30 for our entire family via the family rate.

Excellent gallery, cabins to rent, RV hook up, and air conditioned Conestoga wagon you can stay in! Our RV rig parked next to the wagon feels like modern pioneering. We look forward to taking a shower in the bathhouse, and driving our tow vehicle up into the Coronado National Forest, seven miles away. Terrific restaurant/ supply store nearby, excellent views.

Strange little museum. If your looking to see live rattlesnakes in glass cases then this is your place but it's NOT a museum of the chiricahua desert! The gift shop is as others have said... Pretty good. Books and things your not likely to see anywhere else. Your entry fee covers the Apache museum that's next door. It has a interesting time line for the Apache presence in the Southwest an some interesting artifacts but I'd be hard pressed to really think of it as a real museum. They do have an interesting botanic garden that's free and it's as close as you'll get to a museum of the Chiricahua Desert. I can't say that minded paying what we did but I'll for sure never go back.

Enjoyed our two nights there. Very nice little museum, plus a knowledgeable park ranger to answer questions. Sites are flat, easy access, and clean. This is desert, so don't expect trees and babbling brooks. Utilities required a little maneuvering to get close enough for standard length electrical cable to reach. In April 2024 the dump station was closed, so check and plan accordingly. Mexico is a 5 minute drive away.

This is an awesome campground. I was here last year and came back because I really like it here. The dump station and showers are closed. They have very clean porta potties all over the campground. It's full of plants and trees. Easy pull through sites for all sizes of motorhomes. If you have a NM park pass, you only pay for electric $4/day if you want it. Plenty of areas to walk your dog, very peaceful and includes water, picnic tables with covers over cement patios. I have enjoyed staying here for the last two years.

The good: Far enough from the road to not be noisy; large and level sites; budget friendly, especially if you have the NM state parks camping pass; and it's an interesting place to learn a bit of history, especially since there's a museum in the park. Cell coverage for Verizon and Boost are good. The not so good: Restrooms, showers, and the dump station are closed until further notice; the playground area is also closed until further notice; electric and water hookups are a little oddly placed, so bring plenty of hose and cord. Overall, a pleasant enough stay and we'll likely visit again.

We had to accelerate our travel plans from Ontario to Arizona by a week to avoid some very unseasonably cold weather. Unfortunately this weather extended down into Dallas where we had planned to spend a few days. Looking for somewhere we could get to that was warm we discovered Pancho Villa State Park. We made plans to head there for four or five nights, not knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful Park with great sites beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Sites are only $14 per night with water and hydro and no admission fees. Puerto Palomas, Mexico is just 3 miles away across the border. Although the washrooms and dump station are closed at this time there were very clean porta potties available and the washrooms at the visitor center were opened from 7:00 a. m. until 4:00 p.m Would highly recommend several nights here if you are in the area.

A wonderful overnight for us on our trip. This town is where Pancho Villa made his raid on the US late one night in March 1916. It later became the first US military air base and there are several remnants of the buildings in the park. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms are clean and tidy and while the sites don't have sewer, there is a dump station on your way out. We plan to return.

Pancho Villa State Park, also known as Village of Columbus and Camp Furlong is a National Historic Landmark District commemorating the 1916 raid by Pancho Villa on the town of Columbus, New Mexico, and the American military response to that raid, the "Punitive Expedition" led by General John J. Pershing. Not many buildings remained, and now it's a camp site, take a walk around the entire park, you will still get to see the headquarter, the sign points to the very first US military airbase, and the first grease rack where they used yo repair trucks.

I generally love going to this park. The cactus gardens and Yuca are beautiful, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately they're currently having sewer problems leaving them with no restrooms, showers, or dump station, so the place is sadly empty, with the south loop completely closed. I'm looking forward to being able to go here again, and might chance a 3-4 day stay now in an rv, if you like being alone under the stars... And with the border entrance to Mexico right next to the park, it's always good for a quick overnight stay. There is electricity and water. If you need anything else, the rangers can point you in the right direction.

This is one great museum and has a little bit of everything. Absolutely spotless and it's laid out wonderful. So many history items to look at, you can easily spend a couple hours here. A must see in Deming New Mexico.

A ol timing museum with much to see! As an old armory, it has so much space for all kinds of exhibits! Even a second floor. It's a really great wall though not only Deming's history but American history. I only wish there was more info boards on the history of the Mimbres and their pottery. As a Pueblo Native, I was enjoying seeing these types of exhibits. There's a gift shop and other historical places to see nearby. This is definitely a must stop visit if you're in Deming!

I preface this with my wife is Indigenous. After going through the entire exhibit of the "founders" of the city we came to a room and my wife said, "Ah, look at that. Entire museum dedicated to the rich white people and only a small room dedicated to the original settlers. It was a nice museum. But I agreed with my wife.

This is a big history museum in a small town with a history richer than many large cities. The exhibits are stunningly detailed in their attention to small things. Almost as if presented as a counterpoint to the little things, there are large full-sized vehicles in two or three areas that give us a sense of having been transported back into time. As a history lover, I was blown away. If museums reflect the community where they are based, Deming must be one amazing place.

We had so much fun at City of Rocks. My kids loved climbing on and exploring in the rocks. It is a natural playground and maze all in one. We could have spent all day just exploring in the rocks but we also enjoyed the hieroglyph scavenger hunt and visiting the visitor center where the staff were very friendly. One of the most unique places we have ever camped.

Amazing place to visit. There are non-electric campsites among the rocks or electric campsites in a row outside of the rocks. The electric sites are typical campground with not much space between. The non-electric are spread out and most are quite private. This is is a hide and go seek paradise. Its fun exploring all the formations, nooks and crannies. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We stayed one night but could have easily stayed two. Check in at 4pm with checkout at 2pm gives plenty of time to explore the rocks. There is a separate set of rocks up on a lookout hill that you can hike to or drive to. There is a picnic table at the top with a parking lot. There are also several trails in the area for those staying longer than overnight. Sunset was amazing. Those camped along the Westside got an amazing view. We camped in site six which was interior to some rocks. A small trailer will fit but take care in backing in. Note that the bathrooms are not close to most sites. The visitors center has showers which were extremely busy in the morning even though the night we stayed there were not that many campers. Probably about 1/4 full on non-electric sites. The electric sites were completely full. Apparently they like the public bathroom better than their own.

This was our first experience camping at City of Rocks. We had sites 20-25. 21-24 are rather close to each other. 20 is elevated and fairly separated from the other sites, but you have to hike a good 500 feet in from the parking spot. The rocks and bouldering are the main draw here, as well as the dark skies for stargazing. Other than the wind, November is a great time to visit. Be aware that the gate is locked at 9 PM each night. Drinking water was available during our visit, and the visitor's center has ice, and many other items you may have forgotten. Deming and Silver City are the closest towns nearby, about 30 minutes away for each.

The photos posted can’t express the “Ahhh experience” to this natural wonder. It is worth stopping off the beaten path and exploring. The RV and campsites were nice, offering electric and non electric sites. If you are not a fan of camping or are just traveling through it’s worth the hour or two stop and enjoying this natural beauty. The park also has a site rental for educational activities such as star gazing and other outdoor events. This information can all be found online or at the guest center/gift shop.

Enjoyed a cool, rainy day at City of Rocks. Visitor center staff is friendly. clean restrooms and a shower available, plenty of covered shelters with picnic tables. My group rented the big pavilion to hold an SCA event. Kids enjoyed climbing the huge rocks. Be careful with wildlife. A tarantula walked across our camp minding his business.

Very cool. Huge boulders in the middle of the desert. The visitor's center has a map of where petroglyphs are. There are a lot of wonderful campsites amongst the rocks.

Beautiful stay, 3 perfect nights. Weather was perfect, attractions close by. One of our favorite Autumn spots.

We didn’t think this winery was open. We are so glad we parked and walked in!! Carla was so attentive and poured us some great tastings. Loved the Merlot but also bought a bottle of the hatch chili wine to try at home! Great place!!!

My daughter and I stopped in for a wine tasting recently and were surprised to find such a unique and lovely place tucked away from the main road. I love a good dessert wine and was excited to try the dessert flight. The Port and the Kiva are amazing and honestly two of the most decadent and lovely wines I’ve ever tried; the desserts however were atrocious. They obviously aren’t made by D.H. LESCOMBES. It was obvious they were prepackaged which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. They were so hard and it was nearly impossible to get all the paper off of them. I had to bite bits of them off the paper. If the wines weren’t meant to be paired with a dessert I would have scrapped the desserts altogether. Only two of them had any noticeable flavor. This establishment provides lovely wines, but please please work on your dessert offerings. Maybe find someone local to make items for you every few days? I promise it will pull more people in. I would come regularly myself since there isn’t much to do in Deming. Your dessert wines deserve so much better.

We stopped in to do a wine tasting and grab a bottle to bring back to our beautiful campsite for the night. Everything we tasted was delicious and our server, Karla, was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the different wines.💕🍷

This winery in New Mexico is such a pleasant surprise! We had a couple of extra hours on our drive across the country and it was a lovely stop and the wine was (surprisingly!) fantastic. Highly recommend a stop, and if Olivia is your server, it’s even better.

We came to the Deming tasting oom as members of Harvest Hosts. What an amazing experience! We were greeted by Marisol and made you feel welcome from the moment we got there. Our server Karla was very knowledgeable on the different wines and the history of LesCombs. It was a pleasure visiting with her. Thank you Karla for taking such good care of us!

We’ve traveled from Phoenix to the East Coast and this was our last stop before getting home and it was absolutely the best vineyard we were at. The wine is fantastic. The beer was cold and cocktails . The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and engaging. Olivia was especially kind and thoughtful. Parking was perfect.

Don't miss this great museum. Although focused on local Sierra County history, various collections tap into the story of the entire state. Don't miss the bunkhouse in the back, the Mimbres pottery, or the Ralph Edwards' television show memorabilia. Huge thanks to the Buhler family for founding this iconic institution.

This is a very large collection of local American history. It’s also much larger on the inside than the outside leads you to believe. It’s definitely geared to adults and not children, just FYI for families. The collection includes an excellent collection of Indigenous American pottery from thousands of years ago to more recent history. There are cowboy artifacts, American Indian artifacts, lots of pictures and articles from local towns over the years. Then, of course, there is an entire room dedicated to The Name Change history and Ralph Edwards - the host of Truth or Consequences. It can take an hour or more depending on how in-depth you want to get with everything available. $6 to get in as of 05/25, and worth it.

This museum houses proof of a rich history of this area. From the city's beginnings, the age of Geronimo, the major commercial efforts of the area, and the Hollywood influence of this town, the exhibits are sure to hold everyone's interest. It's a pretty nice-sized museum with meandering rooms and even an added log cabin. My favorites are the Geronimo exhibits, the dresses from pageant winners, and the log cabin!

A hidden gem of a museum with many impressive collections, including pottery and projectile points, rocks and gems, frontier artifacts and clothing, and detailed exhibits about local history. A wonderful stop if you have some time in T or C. General admission is $6.

A great museum packed with history. Everything you could possibly want to know about the area and history from the ancients to the present. The man at the front desk was very personable and had many of his own stories.

Hearing “Well get to them later” with a wave away as first-time visitors to this museum. I can’t say there are any customer service skills. The worker was more interested in talking with what seemed like locals than giving 2 guests walking in a greeting. We went to have a nice, educational experience and ended up taking a quick look around and leaving SUPER RUDE experience.

A true gem in a small city. I'm not normally a big museum person, but I really enjoyed my time there. I also really enjoyed the Eddington exhibit they had.

We selected this hotel for a trip to the Trinity site in October. The room was extra spacious with an oversized jacuzzi soaking tub by the east-facing window for sunrise. The ADA shower meant extra roomy bathroom, and the kitchenette was a perfect size. The service and walk-thru welcome were top notch, and staff did walk throughs of the soaking pools every 15m. Coffee and tea were always available and the amenities were unbeatable. The property and grounds are well landscaped and maintained, and the overlook onto the river is unsurpassed - why we chose this one over other hot springs hotels. The town of T or C is quite small with limited dining options, and fairly remote from ABQ or Las Cruces if you want to sight-see. That is the only downside of the location at all. Otherwise, the grounds and hotel are very nice and exceeded my expectations.

I've been to hot springs resorts all over the country and this is still in the top 3. Beautiful facility right on the Rio grande. This is a quiet, zen, relaxing atmosphere. 7 pools i think all different temps and dry sauna, cold showers. Private tubs available which I didnt try. Note that unique to most you purchase by the hour instead of day pass, and reservations are required

This overnight stay in our RV was just perfect. The hot springs are so clean and well maintained, as is the property! Quiet, peaceful feeling and hushed tones enhance the experience. You can rent robes and towels. The RV spot was pleasant with hookups. There is a communal kitchen with coffee and facilities to share. All in all - a really fun overnight!

Everything was great from the staff to the stay. Well managed well designed well kept. Wow. This must take a lot of work to keep this nice. Least favorite thing the coffee. Allot of cute places around including a coffee /book store. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon and often.

The private soaks are so dreamy. Water is perfect, views are gorgeous. Went on a cold-ish November day, it was glorious. Booked a couple hours in advance. They have towels and all you need for rent, and clean private shower cubicles for anyone to use.

Riverbend is a must visit in T or C! The best hot spring in town! It’s absolutely beautiful, clean, and relaxing. Everything you want when going to a hot spring. My husband and I booked private pool Rio, and had a wonderful experience! Would recommend Riverbend to anyone!

We recently did a private soak and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the private room. It was great looking out over the mountains and the river. Facility was clean and the water nice and hot. Love the cold water bucket right above the pool so you can cool off.

This is not very far from Albuquerque, it’s an amazing place, also the drive to go there is fantastic, the views are fantastic, the sky of New Mexico is astonishing, I would recommend anyone who’s got the time to go there.

Its the office of NRAO. VLA is an hour away from the office towards west.

Those who want to visit the actual radio telescope rather than this office building, please take care to search/map "Very Large Array". It is an hour west of Socorro on Highway 60.

Well, we drove to the address given, and it was a shipping building. We even drove through the golf course to see if we could see it from behind, nope, nice golf course. Never did find the Radio Observatory. Disappointed we just continued on our journey.

This is the administrative and scientific center building. The actual antennas are 45 miles west near the intersection of US 60 and New Mexico Highway 52. I don't know why there's pictures of the dishes here. You can't locate sensitive radio receivers in a city.

I went while on a group trip, we had a great time touring the site and the McDonald ranch house. Our guide, Jen was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Me and my family came for a visit and it was SO FUN! we bathed in the sun so much but I found the a really good tan until about July 16th we saw a big flash of light and we got instantly tanned as if god answered are weird prayers! Only downside was that we look like gouls and don't have noses but I'm sure it's just a side effect, plus I got this cool pic of a cloud I saw :) there's also a pic on there of me but it's old

Went last October for the public day. We flew into Albuquerque, drove down to the site, and slept in the car outside of the gate for the night so we could be in line early. Got in line, drove the road to the site with all others there for the 2 days out of the year it is open to public. The military has it down to the parking, bussing people to the ranch and the food and vendor location. I am personally not into history like my husband, but it was nice to see once in my life.

Site is only open 1 day a year on the 3rd Saturday in October. Free and no tickets to purchase, just make sure you arrive early...we arrived an hour before the gates opened and had over 50 cars ahead of us. By the time 8am arrived the cars were backed up to the road...about 5 miles. The site itself is a bit of a drive from the gates but the roads are good. They also have a shuttle that takes you to the McDonald house where the bomb was completed. Lots of historic pictures and information surround both the site and the house. We went with a Geiger counter which showed the radiation as pretty low, with the highest readings away from the obelisk a few feet.

I have had the chance to visit this site a few times. Visiting the Trinity Site was a sobering experience. As the location of the world’s first atomic bomb test, it holds immense historical significance. The entire world changed on that July morning. You can feel the weight of the events that took place here. The site is only open to the public twice a year. We showed up to the Stallion Gate at 5 am and were 4th in line. We had a short wait for the gates to be opened. We were greeted by friendly and efficient security staff. The site itself is marked by an obelisk at ground zero, surrounded by historical photos and information. The shuttle bus to the McDonald ranch house, where Oppenheimer and other scientists observed the test, was a highlight. Many people are searching for Trinitite, the green glass mineral formed from the heat of the explosion on the desert sand. There is none left and it is illegal to remove it from the site. We sparked a lot of interest with a Geiger counter we brought with us. Be prepared for long lines and crowds, especially with the increased interest following the release of the movie Oppenheimer.

Make sure your gas tank is filled up and don’t stay at the site too long. ☢️

We so enjoyed our ride with Thomas as our guide! This was definitely a highlight of our road trip through New Mexico. We were the only group on our ride, so we got a very personalized experience. We were able to get up close to a group of wild horses and got to cantering a bit along the way! The scenery is beautiful and the trail has a lot of variety to offer. Thomas is a fun and knowledgeable guide, he was a very interesting person to get to know along the ride. 10/10 would recommend!

By far the best horseback riding adventure my wife and I experienced! The views were amazing and the horses were unbelievable. Our guides, Dakodah and Jill, husband and wife went above and beyond! My poor horse, Storm, was an amazing 25 and took me, a larger man along for two hours like I wasn’t there! We galloped almost right out of the gate, up and down hills and through the Rio Grande! They will take you as fast or slow as you want to go! By far the best we have ever been on and hope to make it back!

This was the best riding experience that my wife and I have been on, so far. This is not your typical trail ride. It definitely deserves to be called an adventure. We were very fortunate to ride with the owners, Dacodah and Jill. Wonderful people and we learned so much. Thank you and see you again.

Amazing ride! Jill was a fantastic guide and shared a lot of history and stories along the ride. The trails and views are beautiful. This is by far the best trail ride I have ever been on and I would absolutely recommend them! I hope to return someday! Thank you!!!

Jill and her husband gave us the ride of a lifetime! Riding in big open spaces, during sunset, with the most gorgeous views, and going fast! Their horses were so wonderful and well trained, very responsive and eager. Thank you for the experience, and we hope to be back very soon!

My husband and I had the best ride of our lives here! I cannot say enough good things about this ranch. The owners are awesome and are able to accommodate any riding experience—an experienced rider like my husband, a newbie like me, and even children with special needs. The picturesque scenery along the ride was breathtaking. Riding through the Rio Grande on a hot day was nice and refreshing. The horses are extremely well-trained. If you’re new to the area, ask the owner for recommendations- he has great taste in restaurants & hot springs! Overall, this was a wonderful experience that we will never forget.

Very interesting history with lots of exhibits. Walking through the dining, kitchen and public areas made it a realistic experience. Seeing the upstairs dorms of the employees with lots of original photos helped me to visualize how my grandparents would have worked and lived. The volunteers who run things were very informative.

A sweet little bit of history being preserved by dedicated volunteers. Our docent was so knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions. We got to the museum about half an hour before closing but they didn't rush us at all, which I appreciated. They have a good gift shop as well. I was sorry we weren't there at a time the cafe is open - the food looked good!

We enjoyed our stay and the amazing tour. This is certainly a must-stop when visiting Albuquerque and the surrounding area. Our small group learnt a lot about the Fred Harvey history and the strict prinicples of this business. Our tour guide (sorry, I don't remember her name) was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She did a great job, thanks!

5 STAR Review! Everyone was just LOVELY! My son wants to be a WWII Historian & just absolutely had a FABULISTIC time. The Museum captured such a neat essence in time. Everyone had something to share that made our visit so memorable. My Mom, that's 81 young, really enjoyed herself as well. The food was so delicious & fresh. My son has autism, so his palette is picky & he loved every bit of the bacon & caramelized onion quiche & EVERYTHING on his plate. The gift store was amazing with so many neat things to gauk at. We bought aprons, mints, soaps & cards. My son also received some amazing books. Thank you to everyone that served & informed us. Dory & Wade Dyer

What a awesome place, the museum itself is very cool and informative, $5 for a tour by some lovely ladies. And they have a cafe!!! Got some awesome deserts and sat in there cute area. 10/10 would recommend!

I loved learning about the history of the Harvey house. Its beautiful decorated old fashioned from the times it was once being used as a restaurant with Harvery women and workers by the railroad. Now during the holidays its beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and lights like no other place on New Mexico. It's fun for adults and children to see!

I stopped in to the Harvey House Museum on Saturday just before the opening time. Francis came out to where I was sitting and asked me if I would like to come into the museum, "yes of course." The roof access to stand under the 'livecam' was cool but what surprised me was the quality and care that goes into this local museum. I was treated like a VIP from arrival to departure. Great experience.

When we arrived they were doing construction on their hotel area and we had to enter over by the pool area, it was a little confusing and that exterior door was locked, so a gentleman that worked there helped open it for us. When we booked the reservation the desk Clark stated for us to enter through that door; however, it was locked and you could not. The rooms are basic, nothing special, but the beds were extremely comfortable and they did have a nice large refrigerator for your personal use and a Keurig machine which is always a plus. The room in bathroom was clean and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. We played a few slots and they are some of the tightest slots we have ever played. It's a nice stopping point during your travels, but I definitely would not stop there to play in the casino because of how tight everything was and you rarely got into any of the bonuses. We did have dinner and watch a ballgame with a few drinks in their sports bar that was very good.

This was an unexpected stay but impressive stay. The room for handicap accessible was not just accessible but useable as well!!! Kudos!!! Well designed for the ability to move around and function. Even the bed was the perfect height. We had a great night's rest after a fun evening in the casino plus a visit to the Stadium 66 for dinner. Stadium 66 perfect place for watching a game and picking up a bit to eat. Service was amazing! Thank you for a memorable stop!

Ok I usually like to play in this establishment. This time however was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. First of all I am an amputee and I have a hard time getting around with my prosthetic. I was told that if I needed help they would assist that was never offered. They are currently doing construction and THERE IS NO HANDICAP PAKING had to park 6 rows back on the far side of the casino and walked forever and had 2 rest twice.i had problems with the lamp and the shower was leaking I made a request with maintenance I called at 8 am nobody comes by until after 3 calls he gets there at 6pm and says he can’t fix either. He says someone will changes room after 3 hours of waiting for that call they say all supervisors are gone for the day we are now on day 3 I asked to speak to the supervisor at 8 in the morning because I was woken up at 6:30 by construction vehicles beeping constantly. I make 6 total trips to the front desk and waited till 4:20 still no manager she leaves at 2:30 so I finally sit and wait at the front desk I wait for 15 min for a supervisor and she sends the maintenance guy I asked why nobody called to change my room 2 days ago he said he didn’t know I WAS IGNORED the whole time. No help getting help to getting my things to the car. The only good thing I had the most amazing housekeeping staff who on the last day fixed the lamp. Do not stay here if you can avoid it. I spent over 2000 dollars there and could not even get anyone who would even acknowledge me. Stay at Sandi’s or isletta where they take care of you and want your business Also the rooms are outdated and no microwaves in the rooms and you have to request your room to be cleaned they don’t do it automatically

If this casino spent as much concern with the inside of this hotel, as they do the outside, it would be a decent place to stay. Hair on the floor hair in the sink, dirt in the sink, old a c heating unit that kept only one side of the room to the right temperature. Thin enough walls that you could hear clothes being hung up next door and a water bottle that had already been opened. The pillows were nice and the refrigerator was large. But with the lack of cleanliness, it was kind of concerning to sleep in the bed at all. The food on site is very good, which is good because it's too far out from doing anything.

DO NOT STAY HERE OR EAT HERE! 3 food places had the worst food! Old food, been out ALL day, and dried out! Bathroom sink didn't drain. No towel racks in bathroom. ALL elevators were down and they allowed the fire escape OUTSIDE door to be left open (unattended) ALL night! Take my word for it! They don't care about their customers but they don't have to because they are sovereign law so they can do what they want!!

I've been to a concert at Legends Theater but I decided to bring my wife here for her birthday and she loved it. We also tried the buffet which was on crab leg night and it was worth the price. I can't wait to come back for more fun

Great stop for traveling thru. If you get a players card and play some slots, they will send you some awesome perks. I got 2 free nights, 30 for food and 30 for gas. I left better than I went in on this trip. Love it!!

Beautiful ruins in the shadow of the Manzano Mountains. The Abó site is a peaceful place for reflection, discovery, and history. Free admission and ample parking.

Great place for a day trip! Please be mindful of rain in the surrounding areas, which will cause a flash flood across the only road in and out. On 6/30/25, I visited Abó and seconds after crossing the low point in the road, a flash flood came through. The road was completely dry beforehand. A storm miles away triggered this flood. I had to wait about 60 to 90 minutes before I was able to cross safely.

This was an amazing place to visit. Would highly recommend it.

Amazing place lost in time. Only a 2-300 acre site but due to its remoteness it’s vast in its overall perspective. Steeped in history going initially 400 years back to the actual mission but the people settling the land in that area go back another 500 years. Worth a slow walk through and wonder back. Enjoy.

Nice place to visit; short and nice walk, clean, with nice paths. The signs are informative, and the person who greeted us was very nice. The ruins were interesting and beautiful. I am glad we could bring our dogs as long as they were leashed and we cleaned up after them 😊

Abo ruins was a beautiful stop. We drive from Albuquerque for a day trip. There are two rides to get there, one in each side of the mountains. I would recommend heading east on I-40 and driving the evening highway. It is beautiful. You pass small towns, pretty mountain scenery than you drive out into the flat empty New Mexico country side. Abo is an old mission. The self guided walking tour is easy and informative. The scenery is gorgeous. The mission is a great backdrop for pictures. I would highly recommend visiting this mission.

It's such a hidden gem I wish I had heard about earlier. Totally worth not just the stop, but actually a trip.

Location was okay. The staff were really good and there is plenty of parking. The food court offers cheaper options for dinner or lunch and they had a great selection of free soda on the gaming floor. There were a few negatives, very wet carpet in our room near the AC which we didn’t discover until I tried to close the curtain at bedtime. The next morning the coffee pot didn’t work, and there was only 1 working elevator in the hotel.

We came to relax and enjoy pool which was cold. The hot tub was good. If you like smoking the area right out front for ya! Not crazy about that you can tell where they are dirty! Woke up to have a cold shower they never got even warm and hotel attendants didn't care one bit looked at each other shrugging 🤷‍♀️ their shoulders blaming boilers take time! Food court had Panda with low prices but not so fresh food!

A lot of money for a no-frills, a-la-carte experience. Awesome casino. Food choices and quality are excellent. Casino closes overnight and nothing opens until 7am. Unless you are into making your own coffee in the room, you will have to wait until 7am to drink coffee, have breakfast, or go into the casino. The staff are super helpful and friendly.

Was there for the special shapes banquet. Again the food was FANTASTIC the salmon was glazed in something wonderful and was moist. The steak was very good even cooked medium to please most. The chicken was good and had a very tasty sauce. The servers were very on it with helping with what ever we needed.

Great location, great rooms & wonderful spa! Felt safe traveling solo - the elevator requires a key card to get to a floor. The spa was a delight! The casino was tons of fun and the steakhouse was delicious.

First time in Albuquerque from California. I was up early one day and the guy cleaning the floor was super concerned. That was kind. My hours were off because clock in my room was an hour ahead and casinos in California are open 24 hours but not in New Mexico. I had to wait till 7 a.m. but food was good, room was clean, and large tub was an added benefit.

One of the overnight girls was incredibly rude to us when checking in, and there was hair in the shower. The food spots were okay, but there's better at other casinos. Speaking off casinos, fair warning... no alcohol on the gambling floor. There's a bar there, so you can get drunk and then go gamble, but no drinks on the floor which makes no sense. The bartender wasn't that great to us either. Nobody seemed like they actually wanted to be there. Oh! No smoking on the casino floor either. I don't mind that at all, but a lot of folks would. I just wasn't impressed at all and was ready to leave after day one of my 4 day visit. Would not return.
