This event was well worth the money! We had a great time! The paintings were fun and easy to complete. My husband and I enjoyed wine and a tasty charcuterie board of treats while painting. We are eager to attend the next “Paint and Sip” event. This made a great date night, but there were groups of friends and families attending and painting as well. Everyone left with smiles on their faces.

The Queen Creek Olive Mill put on the most beautiful baby shower for my daughter! From the first conversation to the day of the shower, Erika made the entire process effortless for us. The decor was whimsical just like my daughter wanted and the food was outstanding. Everyone that attended commented on how fantastic this venue was. The Queen Creek Olive Mill went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend having your event with them.

Why am I just learning about the Queen Creek Olive Mill?! This place was such a cool experience! I went there just to check out what they had to offer, and I was so pleasantly surprised to see they served food and had a nice little nook aesthetic going on. I had unfortunately already eaten before I arrived, so I didn't get the chance to indulge in their food, but their menu options looked great, and I'm genuinely eager to go back soon just to try them out! The whole atmosphere was fantastic, and to me it felt like a wonderland. Please don't be like me and think that just because it says "Olive Mill," that's all they've got - not at all, they are serving up so much more! Not only do they have just about every type of olive oil, flavored and non-flavored, you could think of, but they even had a section where you could shop for alcohol, and I forgot to mention for my coffee lovers, there's a coffee stand! Beyond the dining area and incredible variety of products, I believe there's more to the property than what meets the eye, you can probably do some exploring around there as well. This place is definitely a unique and delightful destination. If you're looking for something a bit different but with a lovely setting, definitely check out Queen Creek Olive Mill. I'll be back for that food!

Locally very popular, offering a great selection of olive oils and olive products with abundant samples for tasting. An eclectic menu and reasonable prices draw large crowds at dinner time, so arrive early. While the line was long, counter service was quick and our order was ready in about 15 minutes. Everything was delicious, including the panko encrusted fish, pizza, pesto, and pulled pork. It's easy to see why the Olive Mill is a favorite.

Beautiful grounds for a day trip from Phoenix area. The store has many oils, vinegars, tapenades, wines, jams, kitchen supplies, and spa items. They even have a refrigerated meal area to take their foods to go! We took the tour ($8 in 2025). It was a nice introduction to the history of The Olive Mill and the oil making process. After the tour they offer several food and dessert options. This will be perfect when the weather cools and you can take advantage of the outside fireplace seating. Would make a perfect wedding location if they offer that service.

Erika and her team were amazing at me and my husbands marriage ceremony and reception. They made sure everyone ate and offered to serve me and my husband food. They were super nice and respectful. If we could have another marriage there we would do it all over again here. Affordable and you can decorate it however you want! Thankyou guys for making the night so special for us :).

Very quick tour of olive mill area. Nice lunch and olive oil shopping. My spouse said, I enjoyed the visit. Glad they had shipping to the house.

An absolute gem! There is so much history and exhibits at this museum. From the paintings, to the baskets and sculptures, Bob Haozous and HOME exhibits. Incredible collection of Hopi dolls and beadwork. I loved the substance of stars and courtyard. Learning the history of Indian boarding schools was also a highlight. I highly recommend if you want to learn about the history of Native Americans.

What an amazing place — this museum honestly blew me away! 💛 It’s modern, spacious, full of light and air — every corner feels alive. The exhibits are interactive and beautifully put together, and there was even a whole section about the stars — unexpectedly inspiring and so well done. We joined a guided tour that was supposed to be 45 minutes — but it went closer to 55, and it still felt like five minutes. The guide was incredible — so passionate and easy to listen to, sharing fascinating stories about Native American history and art. That hour just flew by. They also have a Family Room — a really lovely space for kids to explore and play while learning. I was there without my children this time, but I know they’d absolutely love it. It’s one of those places that’s interesting for both adults and kids — there’s something for everyone. I came around 2 p.m., and the museum closes at 4 — big mistake, two hours weren’t nearly enough. I didn’t get to see a couple of galleries, and I barely had time to peek into the gift shop — which, by the way, is fantastic. So many handmade things — pottery, jewelry, paintings — all authentic, unique, and full of soul. I could’ve easily spent another hour just there. There’s also a cozy café and a small bookstore — perfect if you want to sit for a bit and soak in the atmosphere. Next time I’m in Phoenix, I’m definitely coming back — and I’ll make sure to spend the whole day here. Such a beautiful, thoughtful, and inspiring place. 🌿

Marvelous museum, so glad we were able to go while I was in Arizona. Many interesting artifacts, artwork, exhibits from Native American artists showcased in several galleries. There are tours you can take with docents. We went through the museum on our own. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the state of AZ.

This is a beautiful museum with lots of exhibits and history. It is nice to get an honest account of what has happened to this culture. The "away from home: American Indian boarding school stories" is a must-see. The docents that work there are very friendly and take you on the tours. The only reason I gave it a four is because the lady behind the counter was not very friendly and very gruff. Maybe she had a bad day. Do not bring small backpacks. There is also a lot of security patrolling the museum at all times.

The architecture of the museum was quite unique and even a bit whimsical—I really liked that. Each gallery had its own distinct vibe, which made exploring the space enjoyable. Everything was beautifully curated and visually striking. However, the overall concept left me feeling emotionally overwhelmed. I usually enjoy viewing art, but the tragic history of Native Americans and the way they were treated made me feel incredibly sad—so much so that it gave me a stomachache. You can truly feel the pain, sorrow, and suffering expressed through their artwork, which is deeply moving but also incredibly heavy and heartbreaking.

My first time at the Heard Museum was memorable. It's not the biggest museum, but it has a lot of galleries and rooms. What strikes me about this museum is that it's has the best Native American antiquities and my favorite was the American history of taking away Native American children from their family to be reeducated in a white American school and way of life. The part that moved me was all the children being ripped away from their parents and once they reached their destination, each child was given a mandatory hair cut, the first step of stripping them of their heritage, culture and identity. It was horrific what these children went through, and having a Native American heritage myself, it was really moving Another part of this museum worth going to is their cafe. The people there are so friendly like our server, Christopher. The atmosphere and the food was worth the money spent. I bought the hummus sandwich since I'm a vegetarian and for dessert my partner and I shared a fried bread sundae which was delicious 😋🤤. I definitely recommend this place and the museum itself

The Phoenix Zoo is such a fun place to visit! Definitely bring good walking shoes — there’s plenty to see and explore. We went in December, and the weather was perfect, though we did need light jackets. We especially loved seeing the lion, and the ZooLights experience was an absolute blast. A great place for families or anyone who loves animals!

It is a good size and very accessible with adult scooters, kid and adult animal themed scooters, and stroller rentals. The zoo membership was worth it since it pays for itself in about 2 visits. The cafe is decent and if you come on less busy days or less peak hours, it is really peaceful and serene with lots of areas to sit. The animal variety is pretty good for being in the desert and it even has a Siberian Amur tiger, one of the most expensive zoo animals and endangered big cats, that not even the San Diego Zoo has.

Had a great time at the Phoenix Zoo! The animals seem well taken care of. Enclosures are fairly large and well kept. There are animal ambassadors at most of the areas that are very informative and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all our questions and some were quite funny. They have the only open walk through attraction with squirrel monkeys in the United States, which is in my opinion a must see for any visitor to the zoo. Also you can feed giraffes, ride a camel or play in the water park. Their is something for everyone. Overall my experience was enjoyable and I recommend if your are in Phoenix to add a stop at the zoo!

We recently went here for zoo lights as part of an event from work, and it was beautiful. We have never been here for this, but now that we have, we enjoyed it very much. All of the lights and the details that they did to make all of it happen was worth it. I didn't take many pictures as I was enjoying my self that I forgot.. but it is beautiful and a really great experience. The animals are sleeping so you dont really see them. The trails are closed to some areas, but they make the animals come to life with, all the lights! There was only a few things open for snacks and drinks, and they had long lines so I guess bring yoir drinks and snacks with you? Otherwise is a really great experience for everyone!

Beautiful zoo. Lots of remodeling and upgrades being done. Nice tram tour of park, only $6. Today was the Dia de los muertos event, was awesome.

We had a wonderful time at the Phoenix Zoo! The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. For being in the desert, there was plenty of shade, which made walking around very comfortable even on a warm day. There were lots of drink stations and food options throughout the zoo, so it was easy to grab a refreshment or snack without having to go far. The layout was easy to follow with maps and signs everywhere, which made exploring stress-free and enjoyable. The giraffe area was absolutely huge, and we loved the elevated platform walkway that connects exhibits that gives a unique view of the animals below. Overall, the Phoenix Zoo is a fun, family-friendly place that clearly takes pride in both guest experience and animal care.

You can't go wrong with the Phoenix Zoo. Plenty of wild animals and you'll get your steps in. They offer strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters for a fee. Kids love this place. Annual pass is affordable for the entire family.

This is one of our favorite "happy places"! Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, unique and fun events, educational support for our own plants, and so many more things are what keep us coming back. It has something for everyone. Some of our favorite things so far have been getting married here, enjoying the yearly Boo-tanical Garden with the kids, having regular date days/nights here, and attending their plant sales. The restaurant and cafe are delicious, and the gift shop always has something worth taking home. We absolutely love the Desert Botanical Garden and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice date night, family time, or even just some "me time".

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! The Desert Botanical Garden is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. Every trail and exhibit is thoughtfully designed, and you can really see the care that goes into keeping everything in top shape. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable; they were happy to answer questions and share insights about the plants and desert landscape. It’s such a peaceful and inspiring place to explore, whether you’re a local or just visiting. There’s also a restaurant on site that feels like fine dining without being stuffy. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and they cater to a wide range of dietary needs. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in Phoenix.

The botanical garden is a must visit. The trails are no lesser than any state park/national park. The gathering tours were really informative. The staff is friendly. Gift store is so beautiful. There are water stations every now and there. Hydration is not all a problem. Loved watching butterflies and hummingbirds in the butterflies trail. Saguaros are unique.

Must experience. Absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate to arrive after the monsoonal rains. Everything was green and blooming. We arrived a little before sunset, so we're able to see the gardens during the day, at sunset with a beautiful Arizona sky, and the gardens lit at night. The Botanical garden is open till 9:00 pm. If you have a layover at Phoenix Airport, the gardens aren't very far away. I would encourage anyone younger old to take time to visit.

The park is lovely. I went later in the afternoon at the end of October and it was still very warm. You can bring your own water bottle to fill at multiple filtered water stations - water comes out cold. Bring sunglasses, water bottle, sunblock and a hat. Gift shop is very nice.

The Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix is absolutely incredible! I was blown away by the breathtaking views—towering saguaros and colorful cacti create this surreal, almost magical desert landscape. There are so many cool cactuses, from spiky barrels to funky agaves, and I loved wandering the shaded trails snapping photos. It’s super peaceful, like a total escape from the city, with hummingbirds zipping around adding to the calm. The paths are easy to navigate, and the sunset glow on the red buttes was unreal. It’s about $40 to enter, but worth every penny for the curated beauty. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves nature or just wants a chill, inspiring outing. Bring water if it’s warm, and go early for fewer crowds. I’m already excited to come back!

I was somehow expecting an overpriced patch of sand with a few saguaro cactus in it. I instead found a magnificently curated and highly developed garden featuring the huge diversity of plant life to be found in a seemingly empty desert space. There is a surprising amount of beautiful garden infrastructure and architecture in place that enhances an enchanting desert experience. This is a totally morthwhile experience and it's a mere three miles from a major airport. It could not be more convenient. This garden is a participant in a National Garden.Reciprocity program so is easily accessible in terms of admission cost. My local garden card gave me access to this beautiful place at no cost

Excellent museum! It is a huge place. You wear a headset which plays music as you approach the various exhibits. Exhibits are well labeled and so many interesting details. I loved hearing and seeing people playing the instruments on display via the headset and videos. There is a room where kids and adults can play a variety of instruments. Highly recommend!

Very amazing and educational museum. Would definitely recommend to anyone to go! 2 stories of history and cultures! Plan for it to take a good portion of your day. They have a cafeteria on site that has amazing food as well! Also an interactive instrument room where you can try out some of the different instruments you saw in the exhibits!

This museum is now firmly within my top 5 favorite museums in the world. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the museum is after deciding to visit last-minute. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and include not only visuals but optional audio for everything you are viewing. With interesting facts about instruments, artists, and music styles from around the world. I only had the chance to see about 1/4 of all they have in my quick 2 hour visit so I’d recommend planing a few hours to come here and experience it all. There is a gallery where you can play a variety of instruments which as a musician was a dream. I’ve always wanted to play a harp and got the chance to do so here! The gift shop had such a fun variety of unique items, I came away with jewelry made from piano strings that I love! And on top of it all, this museum was truly inclusive for folks who need special accessibility accommodations. I recently injured my foot putting me on crutches. The staff kindly offered my choice of a wheelchair or electric scooter at no charge to use while in the museum. I can’t wait for the day I can come back to experience more!!

It is the best museum I ever seen! I am not a fan of music, but I am deeply touched by all kinds of music and instruments from all over the world, hundreds of countries and hundreds cultures. Staff in this museum are super nice, they are ready to answer your questions and provide useful information you need. This museum is not only good for adults, but also great place for kids! If you want your kid to learn instruments, bring kids to this museum and kids will start to fall in love with music. I will definitely come back to this museum again with my kid. Overall, I strongly recommend this museum. It is the No.1 best museum among the hundreds of museums I have seen.

An incredible collection of instruments spanning the globe. Our visit was particularly auspicious as it coincided with the "Stradivarius and the Golden Age of Violins and Guitars" exhibit. The violins and bows were exquisite. Plan to spend the day wandering through the various rooms to learn about cultural context and history.

MIM is worth the drive, no matter where you're staying in Phoenix. It's not just for music lovers, but also about history and engineering. We drove up from Tempe with our ASU student - we already plan to go back! The mechanical music room was fascinating and the artists room had so much variety - do not say no to the headphones. The experience of floating in and out of the sounds of the instruments on display really was magic. We finished with watching the short introduction film they offered. After experiencing the museum, it really brought home the universality of music through out all of human history... and it seems all to be represented right there in MIM. Really well organized and displayed: unique instruments, how instruments are made, antidotes from artists, instruments and musical styles from every corner of the world. Love!

A very fun place to visit! I thought a museum about musical instruments may not be very large or interesting, yet MIM changed my mind completely. It not only shows music from different countries, but also demonstrates the deeper cultures behind the music. As the picture shows, “Music is the language of the soul.” I think everyone who love music should visit this place, and you will see a much bigger world!

Tourist trap. The staff was friendly. The building didn't feel authentic. I bought the combo tickets - mine tour, mystery shack and train ride. Mine tour was informative, interesting but short. The mystery shack does not allow you to carry babies in and when I bought combo tickets at mining tour booth they failed to tell me that even though I made sure to ask questions about having a baby. Train was was neat ride and the conductor had great stories! I'm a sucker for gift shops but didn't buy anything because it felt too over priced. Bathrooms were clean. Overall worth checking out at least once.

It was a very cute town. They have fun people on the train ride and mine tours with lots of interesting facts. We ate at the Saloon and they had live music. Lots of gift shops! Free to get into Ghost town and wander but $10.00 and up for everything else. We had a great time. Beautiful view of the Superstition Mtn.

After watching this mining town on ghost adventures and tfil overnight Elton it was awesome to check it out in person. The tour guides were awesome in listening to people and their experiences. Actually using an EMF detector and letting us have moments in silence to interact with any entity. *Only issue is there should maybe be a age limit for the night tour because there were a few children that would keep interrupting silence moments or just talking and didn't want to be in the dark which was a little disruptive. The town looks like it would be fun to check out in the day time

This place was so cool. Had a blast with my family. Handmade crafts. Stories and fun shoot outs in the street. Lots to do.

This place is pretty special to me, a place we visit to just relax and enjoy our desert beauty and embrace the Wild West feel. Don’t let the touristy vibes deter you. The shops are fun and the food is simple but tasty at both the quick service and the Mammoth Saloon. I usually go to the snack bar and save room for scooped ice cream and FRESH (you can smell them as you walk up) waffle cones. Make sure to bring some sun screen and ability to take some time to take the train or mine tour. Also, parking lot is dirt and unmarked, just to give a heads up. To my experience, people are usually really cool with lining up and leaving room. Have a great time!

We had a fun day at Goldfield Ghost Town and Mine. We toured the mine to see how gold was mined by hand. We saw a wild west shootout. We rode the train around town. And we walked through a mystery house. We really enjoyed it.

The town is well worth stopping at even tho its a tourist trap. It has some great food, russlers, cowboys and "Ladies". Just alot of fun. $$

Really nice, very clean paved walking path around the lake. It is a reclaimed water lake so a little smelly at times. There is a really cool splash pad. A very nice playground. A musical instrument play area. Multiple covered areas to sit at. Such a nice little community surrounding it. Multiple bathrooms and drinking fountains. Parking was pretty easy.

Absolutely beautiful! The fountain is breathtaking to watch, especially when it shoots high into the sky — it’s the perfect centerpiece of the town. The park itself is very clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, with plenty of walking paths, green spaces, and spots to relax by the lake. It’s a great place for families, couples, or even just to enjoy some quiet time outdoors. Whether you come for a picnic, a walk, or just to see the fountain, it never disappoints. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! 🌿💧✨

Very nice and peaceful park with a nice walking trail and a Frisbee golf course. It's a well maintained park with nice bathrooms and plenty of benches. Come right before the top of an hour and watch the magnificent fountain for 15 minutes. I've visited twice now and I enjoy this park.

I was heading out of town but wanted to see th famous fountain. Found out it only goes off every hour on the hour for 15 mins. When I drove up it had already been going off for 8 mins. It is beautiful. Neat to see. They cut it off and water comes cascading down. I found that they normally only run 2 pumps so it shoots up about 300'. Only on special occasions do they use 3 pumps to get it 500 or so feet. Which I'm sure would be awesome. If you are in the area check it out. Parking was easy off a side street. Looked like the surrounding grounds were home to disk golf. And FYI the grass was sopping wet in certain areas so be mindful of that when waking to the waters edge.

The park was super relaxing and peaceful. It had a wide variety of birds, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I especially loved watching the Red-winged Blackbirds and the vibrant red patches on their wings. The park was clean, and thanks to the fountain, there was a refreshing breeze that felt amazing—especially in the Arizona heat.

Beautiful and excellently maintained park and lake and mile plus trail around it. Although I live 20 minutes away, I'll drive there often for a walk with wife and dog. People (and dogs) are always friendly and courteous. Get there on the hour in the evening so you can watch the fountain for 15 minutes.

Visited Fountain Hills, Arizona around noon in early October. The weather was pleasant, and the place was calm and scenic. Plenty of open spaces and activities for kids — a great spot for a relaxing family outing.

Beautiful place to go with your family! The scenery is top notch and the weather is nice and sunny. This is also like a museum considering the fact that there are old parts of the scenery from thousands of years old. The wildlife is vast and there is a couple of birds of prey here. Totally recommend all day! P.S: Keep an eye out on the rams in on the cliff side!

Very pleasant dinner cruise. Staff friendly and helpful. Great scenery, good music. Dinner was better than average (bbq ribs AND chicken - large portions. The 16 mile drive to and from Hwy 60 in the dark was a little hairy. Allow lots of time to go slow.

This cruise had unbelievably gorgeous views with great narration by the captain. We saw the Canyon Lake area including much desert scenery and stupendous mountain views! We even lucked out and saw a bald eagle on her nest and a group of Bighorn sheep! 10 out of 10 stars. A must see!

April 5th 2025 Being an Az native, I’m sad to say I didn’t know this entertainment existed. I learned about the “sunset dinner cruise”from my mom who is actually friends with “Dolly” the original owner. The new owners kept the name and Dolly is still representing the company with enthusiasm. My wife and I did the sunset dinner cruise and boy did it not disappoint! Captain Ron was fun, knowledgeable about the lake and its history, the staff on board were attentive and hustled in our meal distribution. The food was excellent! The sites were amazing and stunning. We saw a lot of big horn sheep on the cliff face and witnessed up close 3 blue herons flying low across the water. For the price this was a fantastic way to spend the evening with my wife.

We had been staying in Apache Junction for the winter and decided to take the Dolly Steamboat cruise on Canyon Lake. The regular cruise is 90 minutes long and takes you around the lake and back. The canyons are impressive and beautiful. I understand you sometimes get to see sheep, but we had no luck on this outing.

I had a great time on this short afternoon cruise. You get to see beautiful views along the way as you listen to the history of the place.

This experience was amazing. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because my friend and I almost got stranded with no ride back to the city and didn’t receive any help from the staff. They said it happens often that a ride share will drop people off only to leave them with no cell service to arrange for a ride back. We were refused access to WiFi at the ticket booth and had to find a shop that would offer WiFi to customers only. If you journey out it’s a great experience just make sure you have a ride back because you won’t get help finding one!!

We made a quick stop on our way home from our camping trip and were glad we did. It was amazing to see a monument built back in 1100 that’s still standing today. My son and I walked the trails, explored the plants and water, and browsed through the relics in the gift shop and museum. We even left with a couple of fun little souvenirs. For just ten dollars, it felt more than worth it

Amazing and must see history if you’re driving by- it’s like 4 minutes off the freeway and gorgeous. The staff was INCREDIBLE and so friendly, not sure why so many people were working and no one could check us in to pay, that was confusing. Lovely gift shop though and unique souvenirs. Not sure why so much was blocked off by cones Just a nice getaway overall

The national monument is a must see location if you are in the area. From the parking lot to the front door the walk is easy. Once inside, we noticed the area to the right with had the history of the location and to the left was a nice gift shop area. The staff was informative and friendly. As we approached the historic sight, we were in awe of the size and its location within the mountain. The included pictures may not do it justice. It is a "must see" exhibit. Overall, the Montezuma Castle is worth the time to visit...our children, who were here 20+ years ago were spot on with their recommendation. 👍

Came here during our stay at the Enchantment Resort. Really enjoy our visit to Montezuma and also neighboring Rimrock. Seeing the old architecture where people used to stay and have preserved through the ages was enlightening. Best of it was definitely Rimrock where we could climb all the down to the basin floor on a paved walkway which I think most miss. It’s definitely there if you look and the reflection photos def are hard to beat. Hope you have as good of a time there as we did.

National Park pass accepted, otherwise $10 per person. Path is paved and very walkable. Very educational regarding monument and nature around the area. Park is well maintained.

Very interesting and educational experience about the indigenous community and their way of life! Wonderful hiking trail and ability to access for all ages and functional mobility levels. $10 per person entry.

Fantastic little stop between Sedona and Phoenix. Thoroughly enjoyed the history and view of the site. Easy walk with paved trails and beautiful scenery. Definitely worth the stop.

Oh my goodness we had a blast! Our normal cup of tea is the casino. Lately my husband and I have been going through a rough patch after being together for 38 years. I searched for something different for us to do, came across Blazin M Ranch. Let me tell you the atmosphere was so welcoming from the moment they opened the gates! I almost felt like we just got invited to a friends ranch for so much fun and great homemade food and don’t even get me started on the amazing entertainment show they put on for us. The owners were so inspiring to me a husband and wife and they worked so hard and entertained all of us. Even came by and asked how are meal was. Seeing them work together made me remember my husband is my true partner in life. Thank you to the owners and they worked so wonderful employees for taking us out of a rough patch! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Blazin M. Its really good family entertainment. We did ax 🪓 throwing & the escape room. There's a mechanical bull you can ride, a photography place to dress in western wear & have a photo taken, a small bar for beer, wine, & mixed drinks, a ping pong table, miniature golf, & there's a small museum near Ax throwing. It was so fun. Food was amazingly delicious. Bbq'd chicken, ribs, coleslaw, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn bread and a slice of cake. And you can go back for seconds, too! The show was so fun, lots of great music and laughs.

First and foremost I’d like to thank the staff for their amazing hospitality. Our family of 10 was treated very kindly. Our children were lucky enough to ring the dinner bell! The facility is gorgeous and well maintained. The extracurricular activities provided were a hit with our family. The food is probably too good, seconds are nearly impossible to resist! The show that the performers put on after dinner was so fun and very engaging. Overall this was a great experience. Our children loved it and we’ll cherish the memories made at the Blazing M ranch! Something fun to do near Sedona, we booked this on a whim and really glad we did. About a 30 mins drive but very much worth it. Lots of fun and games - the prickly pear margaritas and the little escape room were our favourites. We booked the 5pm slot and there was about 90 mins to enjoy before dinner and the show. Hugely entertaining. The staff there were excellent. We were a little disappointed as they forgot to give us our photos which we had paid for with our VIP upgrade but given the effort put in couldn't take away a star. Really fun!

A rootin' tootin' good time for the whole family. The music show is lots of fun but is likely to be more appreciated by the adults due to the song selection. The little old western town they have created is quaint with lots to see and do before the show. The food was incredible and the staff friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the trip.(A local, family owned business.)

Took my dad here for his birthday. The pre-dinner activities were so much fun! The VIP experience was worth every penny! The show was hilarious! It was chilly and the fire pits were awesome! Will definitely go back.

We enjoyed our visit to Blazin' M Ranch very much. It's a fun, family themed entertainment. When you check in, you are given a meal tag with your table assignment and a tag notifying the serving line of your dietary restrictions. The cute Western "town" has plenty of activities to do before the dinner/show. The short tractor ride was fun and informative. The dinner is very well organized. Over 200 people were served very quickly. We were the last row of tables to be served and I was surprised how quickly our turn came up. The food is delicious. We were served mac & cheese, bbq'd chicken thigh/leg & pork ribs, prickly pear coleslaw, mashed potatoes with gravy, dinner roll and bread pudding. And every dish was delicious. The meat fell off the bone, the ribs were meaty, the mac & cheese was wonderful (and I don't normally like mac & cheese). What I found very impressive is how my lactose intolerant husband was accommodated. I had stated his intolerance on the reservation website (there is a space for dietary restrictions) and when he came through the food line with his restriction tag, he was offered noodles with no cheese. They had cooked a separate small batch of noodles. My husband said the noodles were wonderfully seasoned and delicious. The show was fun. It does not take itself seriously and is very entertaining. This is a true family business where people play multiple roles. The sales clerks and activity assistants and tractor driver pop up as servers and entertainers and even owners. At the end of the show, everyone is brought out and acknowledged for their hard work. That was very impressive. The Blazin' M Ranch has a lot of heart.

A short walk in a beautiful red rocks landscape (though probably not the best one in Sedona!). Hike up a little higher other than the base path and be blessed with sweeping views of the area.

Just came back we really enjoyed it majestic view and it gives you a sense of calm and peace. Couldn’t make the hike because of knee injury but next time will do

Breathtaking vistas, a calmness that is hard to describe. If you have any appreciation for geological features… This is a must see.

Well if you want a small walk in awesome landscape this might be the right path. We loved our walk around Bell rock. The view is so nice and starting the round by going east from the south, we were almost all the time alone, which was really nice. Would definitely recommend this trail

It was beautiful! Peaceful and serene. I highly recommend buying your park ticket ahead of time. Also, get up early to go visit these places. Parking fills up quickly.

Great place to hike! Some paths are easy and others are more challenging. Parking is a bit of a challenge. There are a couple of lots ($5.00/day) but all were full with cars coming in constantly. We lucked out by finding someone leaving.

Great hike but park in north parking if you intent to climb. The climb was good. Surprisingly at the top I felt tingling effect in my feet and legs. After coming down my wife told me about vortex at bell rock. I don’t believe these but I felt something, kind of interesting.

There are no words. The emotions I felt getting to the top are indescribable. I truly felt the energy. The climb was difficult but well worth the entire experience. Don't forget to go to the left at the end of the trail for another part!

Loved our experience hiking there. To be noted it is pretty steep going up and coming down, and yet totally worth the climb. 💕Beautiful scenery from the top!

Got there on a Tuesday morning in late Oct at 7 am. Found plenty of spots in the additional parking. The hiking is very fun and challenging! Don’t be scared of the little tunnels at the tail! It’s only a small portion of the whole trail. If you can climb up, then there is no problem going down! Turn left to find the platform at the end of the trail!

We started at the Baldwin trail. Parking was $5. It was lovely, shaded and refreshing.

The breathtaking sunset views up there are absolutely worth the effort!! It wasn’t super difficult as I was hiking in a group and I only needed to follow the footing of people in the front which helped a lot. If I were to figure out the submitting route myself, it would have been horrifying. It’s about half a mile going up with 600+ ft elevation gain. It took about 30 mins to go up and about 20 mins to go down so I recommend start descending right away after sunset(if you are here for the sunset view) to have enough date light while scrambling down. I highly, highly recommend wearing shoes with good grips as that will make this adventure much safer. Parking becomes impossible within one hour of the sunset time.

Beautiful view worth the climb. 600 ft of vertical climb in .5 mile distance can be a bit challenging. If you wear proper shoes shouldn't be a problem. Dont do it in wet conditions. If its raining or expected to rain its better avoid it.

It is a short but demanding hike up some steep sections, including some rock scrambling up to the base of the cathedral rock… Spectacular views and great workout .. I highly recommend go early morning and beat the crowds…

Easily one of the most wonderful stops we made on our trip. We spent time here enjoying the views and peaceful vibe. Everything from the drive in to the walk up the ramp was stunning. Once you reach the entry you are greeted by friendly staff. I can understand why it has so many good reviews. We picked up some items from the amazing ladies in the gift shop and enjoy part of a mass. The gift shop had things packed into every available space so take your time and you’ll find something for sure. Most are religious items, however there are many items that were not. So many people showed for mass, they placed chairs outside to maximize the amount of people who could enjoy it. Parking is a bit tricky, with only a few handicapped spaces, and the walk uphill once you find a spot made people a bit frustrated - I would suggest trying to find a slow time. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy. I have to assume earlier weekdays would be better. You can drop people who can’t do the uphill walk at the top of the hill but getting a vehicle turned around and back down can be tough and take a bit. They have team members on golf carts if you can get one! Take a small car if you can!

Major shout out to Chapel of the Holy Cross you’re truly setting the bar for excellence thank you to all those that maintain the grounds and for have handicap accessible parking. This Chapel is alive with the energy of God, beautiful place to come and pray and see very beautiful scenic view.. if you’re doing cross country trips or just visiting Sedona, Arizona I highly recommend that you put this on your bucket list of places to see as well worth the trip

Parking is very limited. As well as safely getting a good picture. Be safe taki.g photos below the road. The insode of the church is very small. They do allow you to come inside and talk to God. There's a smal gift shop below. The views of sedon is beautiful at the top of the church

Beautiful place with stunning views and a well-known tourist destination. Parking: Free parking is available either right outside the chapel or at the lower level, with golf carts available to take visitors to the top (free service, accept tips). You can drive up and park if a spot is open, or return to the lower lot if full. There is also a Sedona shuttle connect service that takes guests to the top, providing another great option. Kudos to the staff for their excellent efforts in managing and assisting visitors despite the limited parking availability.

I went on a busy Saturday, but still found a parking spot in one of thier 2 small parkings lots. You park below and walk up the street or the labeled dirt trail, and there is about 5 disabled parking spots at the top..... plenty of room to get in and walk around the Chapel and gift shop downstairs, without waiting. You can walk up the the front of the Chapel, once inside and see the Jesus footprints in Bronze. Be sure to get lots of scenic pics on both sides, when outside by the Chapel. Worth the quick stop, it was free and it took me about 30-45 min. Worth of time to see.

Nice place to stop and visit. It was packed with people so we ended up parking on the lower section and took the trail up to see everything. Short little hike but not all that difficult. Nice walking path to get to the Chapel. Amazing location / views with all that surrounds it.

We came here for our anniversary to explore Williams & take the train to the cabin. The experience & area were fantastic! The train ride was so beautiful & fun. For food, there were local places that we enjoyed, but we also did visit the buffet diner attached to the hotel for breakfast & it wasn't bad at all. The speakeasy style bar in the hotel was nice, but Historic Brewing Company is unbeatable & quite close. The rooms were a little dated but clean. Not an awful place to sleep, but didn't inspire any excitement by itself. We also visited the indoor pool & hot tub, but they seemed a bit grungy, so we abstained. Very beautiful area tho & the service was great. We had an overall great time!

Our stay was awesome! We purchased a package deal and all the details were arranged including meals and train tickets. All staff were courteous and outgoing. A big surprise was the grounds were decorated for Christmas with carols playing throughout the premises. Rooms were very comfortable and from desk was very responsive. Train ride to the canyon was very memorable. Highly recommend this experience!

The Wild West adventure that is the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel was a perfect treat on our road trip around the area. We chuckled at the cowboy shootout to start our day, marveled at the sights up to the Grand Canyon - and of course we were awe struck with the Grand Canyon, which you’ve got just enough time to really experience. We highly suggest the bus tour, that made things super easy and we were guaranteed to be back with just enough time. HOT TIP: You can skip the lunch and tour combo. The lunch is middle of the road at best and nothing special when you have access to other options while you’re up there. We thoroughly enjoyed the domed train cabin and after walking through the other cars were glad we paid the extra money for it. Nancy was our stewardess hostess and bartender, she was lovely! The hotel is a great location and well priced for the bundle with the train ride experience. It’s worth the stay and the breakfast buffet was delish!

We spend one night at the hotel; Morning cowboy show was fun, we had a great time in the train, round trip first class was very comfortable, includes pastries, water, soft drinks, snacks, fresh veggies, fresh fruit, coffee and charcuterie board! Terryl was a great host in our parlor and shared many cool and interesting facts and stories during our rides :) Grand Canyon Village at South Rim was cute! We took the Red Line free buses stopped at every lookout and the GC views are delightful <3

Hotel is nice, service is great. Staff is pleasant and helpful. We did the train ride to GC and stayed the night at maswick lodge. I would say the only negative was when we returned I asked for a 2nd floor room again and was told our bags were already in room. Not sure why I couldn't move them but we just stayed in room they gave note. We did the included food breakfast and dinner. The food and buffet is good but if your not a big eater it's not worth it. If you like eat go for it ! You will have plenty.

Staying at The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel felt a bit luxurious. The warm, relaxing ambiance amidst famous artwork, Old-West architecture, and the beautiful central fireplace prompted casual conversations with newly met acquaintances in a wonderfully comfortable place. The hotel offers an indoor swimming pool and spa tub, along with other desirable amenities. A unique feature of the hotel is the Cowboy Show for entertainment. Travelers may board The Grand Canyon Railway just out from the rear entrance.

I can not say enough wonderful things about our whole experience at Grand Canyon train and hotel experience . Hotel 10/10, clean , staff polite, friendly, accommodating ! Train ride 10/10, we were in the luxury parlor car, Jenny was our hostess, fabulous. Food and drink satisfying. Loved the ride itself ! The level of organization regarding moving our luggage and explaining when and where we needed to be for transfers and meals etc , 10/10 . We recommend this experience to all !

This is worth every penny. It's a bit pricy at $30 per person until you're alive what you get. A self guided driving tour, then a walking zoo, and Moore! The animals are well maintained and the park itself is a sight! I would recommend 10 out 10 every time.

This was my 4th or 5th visit to Bearizona, so I clearly enjoy it. It's fun for children and adults of all ages. The drive through portion is really neat with lots of animals to see while they are in their natural habitat. We drove through three times this visit so we could see different behaviors at different times of day. The walk through area is also great and they have a restaurant with good food, a bar and other drink and snack options, shopping and more animals to see!

This was a very unique and wonderful experience! My 12 year old and my 76 year old mom both enjoyed it equally! The price is a bit high but we thought it was worth it. We came on a Saturday in early November and all the food stores were closed. I wish there was a little more activity or perhaps there is earlier in the day. The animals were phenomenal and the staff were very friendly

Very impressed with Bearizona in Williams AZ. Had heard good things from friends who had been but was even more impressed after being there! Most impressed with variety of animals and with the enclosures. In the drive through section, you get a close up look at black bears and Arctic wolves roaming freely throughout their habitat but feel very safe inside your vehicle. And the grizzly bears along the walking trail were very active and the story of their rescue was great to learn about.

A highlight of my trip to Arizona! It was so cool getting up close and personal (from within a car) to bears, deer, bison and more! The animals were calm and weren't stressed by being close to vehicles. You could even drive through the various areas as many times as you wanted to! The walk-through area was great too - the animals were active and obviously well cared for. The few that were sleeping looked very comfortable! The zookeepers seemed very well trained and were passionate about the animals. 10/10, would easily recommend!

Bearizona one of out favorite places to visit. You can drive through a path way and see all the wild life. Windows must remain up. After you can park and walk around the wild life zoo. We went in December and it was cold. Something to keep in mind. They have souvenir shops and café/ restaurants. This is the perfect activity for families and all ages.

What an Amazing Park! Drive through at your pace. See the animals up close & take fabulous pictures. The walk through is just as Amazing. The habitats are made so you can see the animals. What's great, is you can drive through again if you choose.

We stopped here on our recent trip to Flagstaff. We are very happy that we did, even though the sky did not cooperate during our visit. They have a few very nice telescopes that they let the public view through. The history of the facility is just as impressive. I had no idea this facility is where the dwarf planet Pluto was discovered. There are a lot of nice displays and exhibits to interact with. The staff were all great. The shows in the auditorium were fun and informative. We definitely recommend stopping in and checking the place out.

What a wonderful place to visit for the whole family! Toddler play room, interactive room for all ages, demos and talks. Looks like these guys thought of it all. Very beautiful campus to walk around. Definitely go see different telescopes they have and take a look at the sun and the sun spots during the day. Make sure to come back at night because this place is happening! You will see a variety of celestial object in the sky through telescopes and with a naked eye. Make sure to ask questions. Everybody who works here is super friendly and will gladly engage in a conversation about all space matters ❤️

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was absolutely amazing. I live in Colorado and I have no problem making the 8 Hour Dr. back exclusively to visit this place. The staff is wonderful, the amenities are very nice and clean, it’s incredibly family, friendly, and well designed, and the night viewing is fantastic. One of my favoriteplaces I’ve ever gone to.

My first visit was a fantastic experience! The live constellation show, while an additional cost, felt like a worthwhile investment for a complete nighttime experience. There are plenty of exhibits to explore, making it easy to spend a lot of time on the grounds. The auditorium show was a definite highlight, with the immersive elements truly enhancing the sense of scale. For those planning a visit, I'd highly recommend checking the moon phase beforehand, especially if you're interested in the rooftop observation. When the moon was nearly full, it made spotting constellations more challenging, as they were often positioned behind us, away from the observation area. It was also difficult to see the guide's laser pointer due to the bright light. Planning around the moon's cycle could help you get the most out of this particular part of the program."

WOW. That's all ai have to say about the updates and new visitor center. I took my family today and had a wonderful experience. The exhibits are educational, but so much more! They are interactive with sensory based learning, and everyone left with new knowledge. I have always recommended Lowell and now I can be even more enthusiasts about it. Bravo.

This place is amazing. Astronomy lovers and sci-fi fans will really love this place! The presentation and star gazing was awesome and I even saw a couple shooting stars. The exhibits are cool and the kids area was incredible. The staff were nice and very knowledgeable. I even looked at some distant planets with some massive telescopes!

My 9 year old daughter is obsessed with space. This place was great!! We didn't make it early enough for tickets to the outdoor planetarium which was a bummer. We had a great time walking around the grounds at night, looking through the telescopes and playing in the play zone. The inside exhibits are very informative. The smells are the best and worst! I feel like I can still smell one in particular weeks later. 😂 I wish there was better organization at the group of outdoor telescopes. And maybe better signage or markers between the Clark and the indoor exhibits. We still made it where we needed to go but I could see how it'd be easy to get lost or end up somewhere you don't belong. All in all it was an amazing visit. We showed up around 8pm on a Friday night and it was definitely busy. But the skies were clear and the weather was nice. We'll absolutely be back. Especially since Lowell participates in the Museums For All program.

The rangers and volunteers here are so kind and sweet. Loved this park so much. Love that its less crowded too. Ive been to a few with native dwellings. I plan to see all of them. This one is in the top 3. Beautiful views.

The history here is incredible, what a great place to visit. You need to know that it is not a quick in and out if you want to hike the whole trail, and there are a billion, or maybe 10 billion stairs. 😄 But it really is a good hike, read up on it a bit before you go so you can see the significance of this awesome place. The visitors center has restrooms, information, and a small gift shop. There is the Rim trail also which is shorter and flat, in case the stairs are an issue. Plenty of parking too, I highly recommend.

Wulnut Canyon was a surprise for me and I would recommend to visit this place. Amazing walk and tour through the Canyon. There's a parking place on the front and you pay the National Park entrance fee what is valid for next 7 days if you visit again or other things in National Park. It's not valid for the Grand Canyon, you pay for that separately.

A wonderful experience exploring ancient cliff dwellings in a spectacular setting. Great visitor center with helpful park staff to learn about the villages and the people who once lived there. There are two paved trails, The Rim Trail with great overviews, and the Island Trail, which was my favorite. The Island Trail has more than 700 steps, and it takes you right up to the dwellings.

A Hidden Gem on the Road: Walnut Canyon National Monument During a road trip, we discovered Walnut Canyon National Monument by surprise, and it turned out to be a truly beautiful and unexpected place. It's a slice of nature that hides from the highway, revealing a spectacular landscape with ancient ruins. A Place to Explore and Enjoy: The park is very well-organized and maintained. The facilities are clean, including the restrooms, and the staff is very friendly. Although it was a quick visit for us, we realized it's a place where you can stay as long as you like. There's a picnic area with breathtaking views of the canyon, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The site has a visitor center, a souvenir shop, and, most notably, trails that lead down into the canyon. These paths allow visitors to get a closer look at the ruins, which are like "houses" built into the canyon walls by past civilizations. Although we didn't have time to do these hikes, they looked safe and well-marked. A Worthwhile Destination: In summary, Walnut Canyon National Monument is a tranquil and beautiful place that is definitely worth visiting. It's a perfect addition to a road trip and a gem we hope to explore with more time in the future.

Absolutely beautiful place! The scenery is breathtaking and the trails are very well maintained. A special thank you to Ranger Lucy — she was so kind, caring, and incredibly patient with us, even though we arrived about 20 minutes before closing time. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel so welcome. Her dedication truly made our visit extra special. Highly recommend visiting this gem!

Walnut Canyon National Monument is absolutely stunning. It does not require a long hike and you can take in so much of the canyon with just a short walk. The staff here was so friendly and helpful. The views were stunning and very much worth stopping by.

The vast beauty of the wide-open spaces took my breath away, and the stunning views were nothing short of spectacular. The family-friendly visitor center was a great addition, providing informative displays and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely pack your own snacks and water- no food onsite. I also want to highlight the knowledgeable tour guides who made our visit even more enjoyable. They were passionate about the area and shared fascinating insights that truly enriched our experience. I highly recommend visiting The Creator for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Arizona!

We had a great visit to the Meteor Crater! The drive itself was beautiful on a cool Saturday morning - calm and pleasant with little traffic despite the rain warning. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating details about the crater’s history and science. The museum and 4D experience were engaging, and the highlight was getting to see and actually touch a real meteor - truly the star of the show! If you enjoy astronomy, you could easily spend the whole day here.

What a spectacularly massive site to see!! Even the little ones easily made it to the top. There are free water bottle filling stations and a great coffee shop. The children’s play area is neat. The gift shop is great too and even has meteor shards for sale. I’ll never forget the smell of the meteor chunk either-like a huge bag of nickels and iron. The amount of informational displays in the visitors center is phenomenal and fun! We’ll absolutely be back!!!

Visited 11/1/2025 Amazing to see - we were greeted with smiles and welcomed in. The building was clean the restrooms were clean very well kept. The grounds were beautiful. Getting to the crater (the view point) was steep walk the rails came in handy. The rails were nicely painted. They do have an elevator to assist getting to view point. The gift shop was great loved all the mineral rocks they do have space items also. They have tours, attractions, a little museum and other room for kids. It was an interesting. Place. Price 29.00 adult or each.

We had a a great time! The kids and husband loved it and I’m a space nerd so I really enjoyed this! I was like a kid in a candy shop! Just 20-30 minutes out side of flagstaff! Worth the money and the time! Worth the experience! There is soo much to do kids zone restaurant/coffee shop gift shop a 4D movie and a 3D ride! Hayden did the tour and was amazing he made the whole group laugh and he was very patient with our 5 year old answering ALL the questions/statements he asked! We highly recommend stopping for a visit if your around meter crater!!

The entrance fee was a lot higher than expected, but I knew i would regret not going if I chose to not pay thier fee. The guided tour was nice and the person gave us some background and stories. The views from the visitors center were nice allowing a full view of the crater. There is a 6ft astronaut figure at the bottom to help with the size perspective and you need a zoom lens to find him. This crater is large! I loved everything except the price of entry.

I spent 30 bucks when all I wanted to do was check out a crater. It was cool I guess but the 30 bucks honestly just passed me off. It did include a guided tour, a movie, and the museum (which i did enjoy that one) but I did not want the others.

Highly recommend for visiting! It was very interesting to see really crater and visited museum and trued astronauts foods… Nice point!

Definitely one of my favorite parks. If you're going to be in the area, it's absolutely worth a stop. If you're looking for a spot to camp for free, basically all of the roads outside the park allow dispersed camping.

Beautiful crater with an interesting history as to its formation and magnitude. Trails at the base offer unique views.

Small, but wonderful park. It doesn't seem as over run with people as some ofvthe others. Very peaceful. It's a shame that so much of the park was burned in a fire in '22. Some of the trails are closed. Still some very interesting walks to take, getting up close the the lava. Beautiful views. Nice visitors center.

We were there on Dec. 4.2023. We had Ben hear back on April 2018. We found this place simply awesome . Seeing the lava flows. Around and the nice walk ways around the Crater part is really nice also have nice trials to walk on to . There where area when come in to park you can pull off and get a good Picture of the Sunset Crater . And the Mountains behind you when there they had snow on them . It was really pretty to see.

We love coming here, it's peaceful, has great trails and I love the "crunch- crunch" sounds when walking on the rocks of the lava flow. Beautiful!!

So other than the corner and a couple of bars and gift shops there's not a lot to do here. It's really easy to get too just off the interstate, but if you're driving an RV parking could be challenging. If you're looking for a short stop and a bit of food at an old fashioned tourist place then this is the perfect place to go

A fun afternoon standing on the corner! Nice shops for souvenirs. I was here in '22, but didn't stick around long r/t homeless on each corner. Happy to day none this time. The town has added outdoor eating/pubs since then. You have to see the world smallest chapel n garden area. Overall definately worth seeing, esp if you like Eagles music!

We had a lot of fun there taking pictures.. The surprise was the tiny Church and the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel immensely. Don't miss the famous hotel if you go to Winslow.

If you're an Eagles fan then you will want to stop at this "famous" corner. It's nice that a small town can create a tourist attraction from song lyrics! As I was driving around Winslow on my way to the corner, I figured that my wife and I would be the only visitors. I was surprised at how many other people took time to stop by this iconic corner. It's a terrific tribute to Glenn Frey and the Eagles and worth the time to stop by!

This is tough to write. The actual homage that has been created is really well done and very engaging - but Winslow is the 4th most dangerous city in Arizona and you can really feel it as you are driving in. I was by myself and felt as though I had to keep my head on a swivel the entire time, rather than enjoy the spot. Just beware and be safe.

If you know the musical group The Eagles then you know this site. Famous for being mentioned in the lyrics of the song Take It Easy, written by Jackson Brown and Glen Frey. Also a popular spot on Route 66.

Loved this Town and all the Route 66 memorabilia. Great meal and beverages at RelicRoad Brewery and fun staff!

Nice and quiet but do don’t bring your outside pets to this location. Tons of stickers everywhere. Also, not a very good spot for big rigs. But we felt safe and the stars are beautiful. No highway noise.

The Petrified Forest was closed due to Federal shutdown. However the gift shop was open. They have lots of wonderful things and the prices are reasonable compared to some shops we visited. Very nice displays of private collections. See photos, clock is amazing. One of my favorite piece I have seen.

What a great gift shop. They have everything that you would need from large expensive pieces to small, not expensive pieces.

This is a quaint shop as you enter the park! I appreciated the diverse deals around the store. I was able to purchase a geode bookend set at 50% off for my younger sister, which I'm sure she'll love! My only complaint was that there was a series of nails sticking out of a shelf around thigh-level, resulting in a small tear of my favorite pants 😩.

They’ve got all the usual stuff (hats, shirts, stickers, magnets, mugs, etc) but this place has TONs of petrified wood, and ICE COLD BEER! Plus, overnight camping in their parking lot.

Thank goodness they were open. The museum that we drove to see closed up early. The gift shop has the same items. It was wonderful. I bought souvenirs to take home. Thank you for being there!

This was a fun shop to poke around in after leaving the Petrified Forest. There are tons of things in there ranging from different types of petrified wood (claiming to be collected from legal sites not within the PF) to fossils to minerals and to even some Native American souvenirs. We felt that lots of stuff in here was overpriced, especially the petrified wood and fossils, but the minerals and Native American souvenirs were decently priced for the most part. We did buy a few small things for future Christmas gifts, and the shop owner was nice. We especially liked the goofy setup outside with the cars trying to haul off giant chunks of petrified wood.

Very cool! Glad I stopped to see it. The have it set up nicely. Even though you can on go out so far (to prevent humans from damaging it) you still can see how everything was setup and the way of life. The visitors center has a lot of information and items to buy (I got a mug).

Awesome sunrise and sunset shoots at wukoki Pueblo. Great sunrise at the Wuptaki pueblo, barely any ppl here, lovely dark sky park for astrophotography, bathrooms at most Pueblos, easy walking distance to view each Pueblo.

We drive to the park, but the park was closed. Looking some structure, sink hole and beautiful view.

Very cool ruins. The house structure was neat and my husband was very impressed with the blow hole that blows cold air.

Wupatki is a well preserved gem and a must visit place if you're interested in ruins. It is a place that gives you a true sense of what living must have been like in the harsh environment of the area. Never crowded and easy to get to. You could explore here all day and not seeing everything

We decided to drive through Wupatki, Az. It was really amazing to see these structures that were built so long ago still standing. You are allowed to walk on the ruins. The natural blow hole was interesting. The hat kept getting stuck on the bill. The rangers were so nice and informative. We saw a raven and it was really friendly too . Haha

What a great experience, from the pueblos to being able to hike in a lava field, this was awesome!! The "mothers breath" vent that blew COLD air, I did not want to leave!

Overall, an interesting photo stop. Slightly expensive entrance fee(8$). I arrived in the afternoon, and waited in a 40 minute line to take a picture in the center 4 corners. I felt even one employee could have helped direct tourists. Some folks started to vocally voice their concerns aloud, as people in the front ‘took their time’. Was pleasantly surprised by the friendly local native people selling merchandise. They displayed hand painted art, magnets, postcards, stickers, and jewelry. I recommend to make this stop. There’s a few outdoor toilets around the area as well as plenty of dirt/rock parking spots. Surrounding the monument, there are a couple hiking paths.

This landmark has been on my must-see list for quite some time, and it did not disappoint. For just $8 per person, visitors can stand at the monument where four states meet and capture memorable photos. Surrounding the monument are numerous booths featuring handmade arts and crafts by local artists. Additionally, the outer rim of the monument offers several trailheads, providing a wonderful opportunity to explore each state. During our visit, we even encountered wild horses along the trail, making the experience all the more memorable.

⭐ Standing in Four States at Once! I visited the Four Corners Monument and it was such a fun and unique stop. The drive in is beautiful from any direction, and there are clear signs leading to the entrance. I bought my ticket at the gate and parked right next to the site — plenty of parking and clean public restrooms. Inside, there are many Native American (Navajo & Ute) craft stalls with souvenirs, jewelry, and local art. After that I walked straight into the monument area, where you can literally stand in four states at once — Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. There were other visitors but it never felt crowded. There’s a short line to take the classic photo on the exact “four states” marker, so a little patience is needed, but totally worth it. The whole area is clean, organized, and easy to explore. On the way out you can also stop by the state welcome signs for Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and the Navajo Nation for extra photos. A really cool and memorable experience. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

We rode our motorcycles from Phoenix out to Four Corners, and it was an unforgettable trip. The ride itself was scenic with plenty of open roads, mountains, and desert views along the way. Stopping at Four Corners Monument was a fun experience—standing in four states at once is something you don’t do every day. The area has several local vendors with handmade crafts, jewelry, and souvenirs, which added to the charm. It’s definitely more of a quick stop than an all-day activity, but worth it for the unique landmark and the ride to get there. If you enjoy road trips and motorcycle rides, this is a great destination to check off the list.

Welcome to the American west. This was a long time bucket list item ✔️. My beloved uncle Richard and aunt Margaret visited decades ago. Their memories served to inspire mine. This is the only location throughout the continental USA where four states intersect at single point. It would be interesting understanding the reasons behind the state line decisions. I recall there being a PBS production discussing how various state lines came to be. Meanwhile, we drove scenic highway 160 from Durango. The sandstone terrain felt mesmerizing; this was a visual I had seen only in western films. There were shapes, dimensions, and formations carved into this unique dusty landscape covering millions of years, dare I say perhaps even a billion years. This area once comprised oceanic territory. Ours was a stunningly beautiful drive. Arriving, the four corners monument is well marked and easily located. We knew in advance there would be an $8 per person entry fee. Probably $5 per person would have been more appropriate but their price is the price. No reason to haggle, just enjoy. After parking, we noticed there were restrooms (porta-potty) available, food trucks, vendors, and the four-corners intersection. On this Friday, there weren’t many visitors yet, so there wasn’t overt pressure to rush photos. I highly recommend taking your time. We helped other couples take photos, while they reciprocated. This was an efficient tradeoff. Afterwards, we toured the vendor area engaging with the craftsmen, and in one case observed the final coat of paint being intricately applied to the pottery. Interesting and educational experience! The product quality was undeniably high. My only regret was not taking time to short-hike the terrain behind the monument. Afterwards, we returned immediately to Durango. If you are considering going, GO, this a once in a lifetime very worthwhile experience:

The last time I was here was 1992, and this time was staying in the area. Visited during the week in the shoulder season, so fewer visitors. The local vendors offer varied handmade art and craft works. Since I was there last, the Navajo Nation developed a short hiking trail at the end of the parking lot, the Dancing Horse Trail. I was so very happy to have the opportunity to revisit the site, on a beautiful November day.

It’s kinda cool straddling 4 states. Bit of a tourist trap. It’s really only this one spot for pictures. You get in line and snap a few. Not entirely sure it’s worth the $8 per person but it’s something to check out. There are vendors that line the area. If you’re looking for some unique souvenirs. We went off season - the vendor we spoke to said it’s usually really busy until mid Sept.

Tall people beware. These ruins are great to see but will require you to duck down. There is plenty of room when you are walking through the general area and viewing the pits. What gets fun is when you stroll through the living quarters, this is where your kids will laugh at you as you squeeze through an area that they blaze through. It was fun and everyone had a good time!

I found the ruins to be fascinating. How could they be built centuries ago? It wasn't crowded so I had some areas all to myself. The museum has some interesting artifacts and a gift shop. A bonus was finding out that it didn't cost anything to enter.

Very informative visitor center with friendly staff. They also show a 15 min movie that is quite interesting. Nice static display as well. You can have a self guided walk with audio for the ruins. Bathrooms and water bottles refill station available in the center. The visitor is free.

Really cool! It’s amazing to stand in a place that was built a 1000 years ago. It’s free and was a good stop for a road trip break. About a 45 minute self guided tour. Highly recommend

We're glad we went to see these ruins, they are worth the trip. There is a lot to see and you can go in and walk through the buildings. There is one big kiva that has been reconstructed and many smaller dwellings. They have a very nice museum here too. This is a smaller archeological site that doesn't require lots of time or walking. Even the building that houses the museum/gift shop/ranger station is an historic house. There are lots of shade trees around the grounds, very pretty.

Loved this place! One of my favorite historic pueblo locations to visit now.. Very friendly staff and volunteers, great little visitor center, adventurous little hike around and through the ruins, and plenty of mysterious guesstimations about these people were doing here! I really loved the restored Kiva, as it brought home to me what all the kivas I've seen could've looked like in their heydays! Plus, walking through actual pueblo rooms, seeing cores beams, feeling the cool air within them, and understanding their size in 3D made imagining their view of the world much easier. BTW, I wouldn't have gone here if I hadn't visited Chimney Rock as well and learned how these two may have been connected.

A definite must see. Beautiful welcome center with extremely helpful staff. The ruins themselves have been preserved with love. I love it.

This was a FABULOUS hike. Wore me out but well worth it. Spectacular sights all the way around. Crossing it canyon was an adventure too. I love everything about this place. The air conditioned visitor center felt so good after an hour and a half in the hot sun.

Great little hiking loop around the upper end of the canyon with some close and not-so-close views of architecturally unique towers and dwellings. While we did enjoy coming out here at least once, we felt more impressed by Chimney Rock and Aztec Ruins as they felt far more interactive and personal.

Out in the middle of nowhere land. BUT, such amazing examples of the talents of the ancient ones in building housing and water gathering. Rugged and hostile in the summer. Cold and difficult in the winter. Walking tour around the perimeter approximately 2 miles. Well worth the effort. Absolutely an amazing place!

The Square Tower loop trail at Hovenweep NM is an easy trail with multiple Ancestral Pueblo buildings along this canyon mostly within sight of each other. I love the one within the boulder since it's unique. I attended one of the ranger talks about it while I was there which was informative.

Very neat place to see pueblo ruins. Along the cliffs. A 2 mile loop allows you to see the whole pueblo. The 2 mile loop involves climbing down and up the canyon. Well done trail. Even has benches to rest. You will be in full sun with little shade.

This place is amazing. I hiked into Painted Hand Pueblo and Cutthroat pueblo. Absolutely breathtaking. I was able to take some amazing photos and it was so quiet and peaceful. There were no crowds. I saw six other people combined at both places and there were only a dozen or so people at the Visitors Center, including park employees, while I was there. This is a must see for anyone interested in the Ancestral Puebloan peoples... Or even if they are not.

It was a bit disappointing. You a lot of walking to not see very much. I don't think its anything like the descriptions you read where it says its the best ruins anywhere. I've seen better. Much better.

You must see it with your own eyes to believe it. 🎟️ TRAVELER TIP: Make sure to buy your $8 ticket in advance on recreation.gov — it’s the only way to access the site and tours book up fast! The tour is ranger-guided and filled with fascinating facts about the Ancestral Puebloans who built this breathtaking structure. 🚗 It’s a 20-mile scenic drive from the park entrance to Cliff Palace, so plan accordingly. I recommend the early morning tour – not only is it cooler and more shaded, but the lighting makes the views even more magical! 💧 No hiking trails around this area, and no water nearby, so come prepared with your own refillable bottle. 🚻 Bathrooms near the site were very stinky during our visit – just a heads-up! 🏞️ The visitor center, however, was a pleasant surprise: super clean, with great exhibits, awesome souvenirs, and seriously delicious food! Great spot to recharge before or after the tour. ⛰️ Whether you're a history buff or a nature lover, Cliff Palace is a unique adventure that’s 100% worth it. Just plan ahead, come early, and soak it all in!

Definitely worth the tour reservation fee. I would say the reservation is a requirement because most tours are full and will not be able to accept walk-ups. We went the end of September, so it was warm, not hot. We were expecting cold and rainy, but the forecast change that morning. We arrived early ended up listening to the one ranger and almost discourage people from going on the tour due to a variety of possible health issues. We did not receive the same speech from our tour guide, just basics regarding being able to climb the ladders. I would recommend a good pair of shoes, as there is sand on the rock stairs on the way down and up. My wife is definitely afraid of heights, but has very little issue in climbing any of the ladders, so this should not dissuade you in going. The history is interesting, and should almost be reverent in realizing we are more alike as humans than we are different. I was wondering about the lighting for photography. We wanted an earlier start, and we didn't have to fight with half shadows. But I am still wondering if the late afternoon shadows provide added texture to the photos in general... Thoroughly enjoyed our tour at Cliff Palace.

Reservations required! You can go to recreation.gov and tickets are $8/person. There are also restrooms and water available at this trailhead. I’m afraid of heights, and did just fine with the ladders on this tour, so don’t worry too much about that. Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling in North America and I loved learning about the history of the ancestral Pueblo peoples. Mesa Verde in general is such a unique place, and a must stop if you’re in the area.

Was a cool experience to be able to see how people lived in the cliff dwellings. You don’t really get to explore or take photos, just kinda listen to the ranger talk about the history and walk through. It was a nice experience, but wasn’t overall exciting.

Beautiful view of Cliff Palace. We took a visit mid-November and it was crowd-less which was nice. It’s a long drive to these views but worth it, bring snacks and a lunch. Stop at the visitor center, get your passport book stamped and then head into the park.

This was my favorite tour of the 3 we did. If your can only do one, this is the one! Ranger Jay was so knowledgeable and engaging. I was never bored listening to her speak! The exit out of the dwelling was really cool and a fun experience with ladders and ancient stairs climbing between boulders

Great way to visit Silverton and see gorgeous mountain scenery along the way. I took the "gondola car" (both directions) and it suited me nicely. The outward-facing bench seat means _every_ seat is a window seat (vs. in the enclosed cars, where not everyone gets to be by a window). Downsides of being out of the enclosed cars: weather (hot, cold, or otherwise) and exhaust fumes. If you can handle those things then you might as well get the full experience. But you still have access to concessions and to the restroom like everyone else. It is a long ride, with a few hours in Silverton, so if you ride the train both ways be prepared for a full day. For a family with smaller children, the train up and bus back might be a better option just to shorten the duration. Photographers: you don't have much time to compose and shoot, so you kind of have to anticipate things coming up. Ask a conductor, they're really helpful and knowledgable at where your best shots might happen. Your wide angle lens maybe has a better chance; you can miss by a little and fix it later with a crop.

This was a great experience, the views were incredible. I highly recommend the Night Sky car it has a glass roof that allows you to see the grandeur of the mountains as you go through the narrow passes. It also has complementary beverages and a snack, adult beverages are available. There's also a First Class attendant to serve you and provide information about the ride. Sean was our attendant and was great.

Hi, everyone! Whenever you come to Durango please Do visit this historical museum. The entrance is free and there is also a souvenir shop in the entrance. I highly recommend this place. You will have a memorable time, I assure that. Until then take care and God bless.

Durango is a beautiful town with lots of shops and eatery. The area around the train station is really nice. The hotels are a little pricey but you're on vacation so enjoy. The train ride to Silverton is breath taking. Worth every penny. I would do it again. The quaint town of Silverton embedded in the valley of the surrounding mountains is a must see. Yes I would definitely visit again.

As a senior citizen, this train ride was the greatest experience of my bucket list. A wonderful train ride which takes in Beautiful scenery and a great staff. It is a hidden treasure waiting to be explored. And ask for Nicholas, the head conductor as he is an encyclopedia of the train world. Very kind and thoughtful associates. Trust them to give you a pleasant experience.

The scenery! The smells. Fresh air. Beautiful creatures. Waterfalls. Pack a lunch. The train food is limited and expensive. Good for a cup of coffee (and the train coffee is good) or a bag of crisps. Lovely people work on the train. Hope I can return.

This was absolutely worth every penny. The scenery is so beautiful that pictures just don't do it justice. You have got to take this train ride just once! You will not be disappointed. Make sure you take some snacks and drinks if you don't wanna pay for high prices on the ride. It also has a bathroom on board in the coach areas. The sites and silverton will take your breath away if you appreciate life. The deer at the end just made it a wonderful day.

Very disappointed considering the money you pay for these rooms. They need updating and maintenance badly. Rooms smell very old and musty. Hair dryer sparked and smoked when I tried to use. Plugs were are all old and loose wouldn't hold chargers in the socket. Gross stains on the carpet, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the light switch for the bathroom had to be held and wiggled to stay on. The AC made a awful mildew smell in the room. We stayed 5 days and had cleaners come in mid week, they didn't changed out sheets and upon getting into bed didn't even make it just threw comforter up. Didn't replenish TP, Coffee, ice bucket liner or soap. When I found one to ask, she was eating her lunch in one of the rooms she was cleaning. This hotel has a great location and nice amenities, it's a shame it could be so nice. The pool could be really nice too, but they have all of the sliders in the room blocked so you can't open them, and the knob for the jets on the spa was broken off. Also, don't be fooled into paying river front view for 70 dollars more, you'll have cars and trees blocking your view. It's not really a river view. Front desk receptionist was very nice.

It is NOT the Durango Downtown Inn anymore. It is now the Roost. The hotel rooms have been redone into studio apartments which are small and rent for an outrageous amount of money. I was merely visiting someone who lives there.

As others have noted here, this place closed as a hotel years ago, now from what I hear overpriced apartments. I read last hotel guests staying there with reservations were kicked out early after it sold. I stayed here several times over 5 year period when it was a hotel when shuttling my son back and forth to summer camp. Great family memories, but hotel often disappointed for reasons you can read in other reviews, wi-fi was out all the time, kinda grungy, but it did have a great location. Last time we stayed several things were not working right and we stopped staying here during our last camp trips. It is clear to me in hindsight the owner decided years ago to harvest the hotel, he overcharged, underdelivered, little care for the place, I watched it deteriorate over my stays, until he could sell the place for the real estate. Still because of a family connection I will never forget this place, it will always have a place in my heart, poor services and all. Durango is a fun place, stay in downtown area, great town to walk in.

Location - easy two block walk to middle of historic downtown. Staff - very accommodating and pleasant. Room - clean nice beds, prefer the courtyard view, river view is across motel parking lot. Other - laundry on site, pool good for little kids, nice courtyard with tables and benches. Would stay again.

Place was decent. Hot tub was great. Pool was way too cold!!! For an indoor pool I felt it should have been heated. Andrew, I believe his name was, was the best at the front counter! Very personable, knew his way around town and gave us great advice. Also got us more coffee for our room. 😘

We were pulling a teardrop trailer and in the back they have a great place to park long vehicles. We had some trouble getting a room assigned but it was fixed up quickly. The location was great. Just a short walk to the downtown restaurants, breweries, and shops. It's not fancy, but it was clean and they are pet friendly and we travel with our 5 lb little dog. We would definitely stay there again.

Past experiences were better. This time around the condo we rented was not in good condition. The bathroom sinks barely had water pressure, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the shower doors were broken, it wasn’t as clean as it used to be and when we first walked in it smelled so strong like pinesol we had to open all the windows and doors to air it out. Called the front office to get things fixed and at first they said it will need to air over night, I explained the toilet had over flowed and we had to clean up the floors, what if it gets worse and over flows to the carpet? Then they sent someone to fix it, however the other bathroom started having issues. For the price we paid it wasn’t worth the hassle.

The place does offer cool views and some fun activities like the lift and alpine coaster. But, this was such a disappointment. We rented a two bedroom condo and as soon as we walked in, the place stunk. We immediately opened all windows and patio doors and started rubbing the fans. I found a can of sanitizing aerosol spray, but it didn’t mask the stink of the space. The carpet was disgusting, stains all throughout the floor from years of neglect. We were so excited initially, but the reality was gross. Our clothes stunk after we left. It’s also a hike from downtown Durango (we knew this), but there is an awesome Hot Springs facility nearby I’d highly recommend. As someone mentioned, many things at the resort are closed in the summer (naturally). For those reviewing before booking, I’d skip this place if I had high standards for where I stay. It needs some love (and renovation). Avoid the “I wish we’d have stayed somewhere else” feeling.

🚨FUTURE BRIDES BEWARE🚨 One of my friends had the MOST beautiful wedding at Dante’s at Purgatory Resort, a place where MANY are waitlisted to get married here. The venue, gorgeous, the ceremony outside gorgeous. Let’s talk about the reception and why Purgatory is getting 1 star from me. There is absolutely no reason that the kitchen should’ve been asked not once, but TWICE to please wait until the end of speeches to resume cleaning because THE ONLY thing you could hear after dinner during speeches WAS THE KITCHEN. There is no way being that close in proximity and the fact that they work there, that they definitely know how loud the kitchen can get. I asked for them to give us 20 minutes until we’re on the dance floor, another guest actually went and yelled at them 5 minutes later. I did not agree with this approach, yet the employees still did not stop banging plates and pans in the sink as well as the loud conversations. Employees were rude, did not stop interrupting and being loud. It was extremely disappointing as my friends GUEST, so you can only imagine how embarrassed she felt on HER day because of YOUR staff. Additionally, we double checked what our selections for the dinner, they served MULTIPLE people the wrong item. More than 5 of us have it documented that we ordered the steak, and they provided 4 of us with chicken. They wouldn’t bring out more steak, and argued with wedding guests about it as well. Highly unprofessional, I know how much my friends paid to have their wedding at Purgatory and the ONLY part that made it worth it was the view.

Went here for the summer activities. It was ok. Views were great, the mountain coaster was fun. Very fast! Wanted to do the alpine slide but they closed it because it was supposed to start sprinkling. Gem mining was ok. Given that we didn’t use the whole passes and the refund policy on the website is completely different than what is practiced, it was beyond disappointing as my son and I drove 4.5hrs to come up here. Don’t think I’ll be back for the summer activities, given they will close things at random and not uphold the refund policy stated online. Just enjoy the city of Durango and bypass this place in the summer.

We explored Purgatory Resort on a recent trip to Durango. Even though it was summertime, there was still plenty to see and do. We rode the ski lift up the mountain and were rewarded with incredible views. There’s also a Mountain Coaster and slide. We grabbed lunch from the deli market and sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. There’s also a full service restaurant at the resort.

We booked a room for 4th of July weekend. The morning we drove over to the resort, we got a call saying we've been "upgraded" due to the room we originally booked being renovated. When we arrived, a section of wall was missing in the hallway to our room and an air blower right outside the front door drying out the exposed wall. It is extremely loud. Before even entering our room, we noticed a hole in the door where the old door knob used to be with paper products jammed into it. A determined thief could totally break into our room using this hole in the door. The room itself was in quite a bit of disrepair. One of the window shades doesn't work at all. The bathroom vanity mirror is broken. The shower head is broken and leaking. Living room spotlights do not work. The fan in the bedroom does not work. The dishwasher is not secured to the cabinets, so it falls forward when opened. Lamp shade is broken. Spotlights in the bedroom point right in your face when you lay down. The water tube to the ice maker was disconnected, spraying water directly into the cabinet above. This is our first night here, so I'm willing to change my review if they get maintenance over here to fix some of these things. You charge for maintenance fees, so use my money and make some repairs. Room 303B for reference. Update: Day 2 the front desk saw our review and offered to either discount us or upgrade us again to one of their best rooms. We took the latter. They took good care of us!

We went right before the summer season started and it was wonderful. The shops were closed, but there were also less people which was refreshing. We met the GM Hana at the pool area and she made the experience more pleasant by helping us find some things and giving us ideas of things to do around the area.
