Bodies of Water
This scenic 3.4-sq.-km. glacial lake in a mountain nature reserve offers boating & lots of birds.
Really enjoyed our visit here. We just did a tour around the lake because we had bad weather, but I think its nice to get some aerial views of the lake by doing a hike!
Michael — Google review
This is supposedly the most scenic lake and a top destination for tourists in all of Tajikistan. It is indeed a nice lake with decent views, but it’s somewhat underdeveloped and difficult to get to, as the rocky, semi-paved road to the lake is a bit bumpy at times. I went in early May, with absolutely beautiful weather and bearable temperatures (low 30s centigrade & ~90 Fahrenheit), yet there were maybe 10-15 tourists there total, but I will not complain about the serenity and tranquility offered by such low turnout. There are essentially 2 vantage points along the lake, with different views, both decent. However, in my opinion, the best part was a trail near the entrance/exit to the lake area, where u can hike 20-30 minutes, depending on how far your vehicle can take you. At the end of the hike is a beautiful reward in the form of a waterfall with a rainbow.
Jason Y — Google review
Beautiful lake surrounded from all sides by grand mountain peaks. Going here and walking around the lake is a must when visiting Tajikistan. There is also a river and waterfall next to the lake that are also gorgeous. Swimming in the lake is also something I can recommend!
Julien W — Google review
Amazing lake, with great nature and mountains 🏔️. You can hike, tent 🏕️, enjoy the view and mountains. You can visit this place with your friends, family, or colleagues. You can do a day trip, as well as overnight.

The whole place is spectacular! Definitely worth the trip, one of the best lakes in the whole region!
Giacomo — Google review
It’s a decent visit but unfortunately overshadowed with the fact that they try to overcharge you when you visit. Entrance fee around 25som. Taxi from Sarvoda 200 som (they will try for more). Overall depending on when you are going there are so many locals going there that it might be worth hitchhiking (most people from Dushanbe visits here), especially on the way back since no taxi are waiting to go back to Sarvoda.
Adam L — Google review
The lake and the landscape are amazing. This is a true gem, but the whole area is underdeveloped. Infrastructures such as camping spots, hotels, home stays, restaurants are barely not existent. The potential of this place is huge for both local and international tourism but requires more care and development on all fronts. Also requires a particular attention to details and to making sure the landscape is not ruined by semi abandoned buildings, or terrible buildings that do not fit the environment. The road as described by some is not perfect but absolutely doable, especially with a 4x4 or Lada.

Hello...i try to reach the Safed Dara Hotel by phone or mail, but can't reach them... do anybody know, if the Hotel/Skislopes/Cabin is open these days(24.01-28.01.23)...?! Thanks, if some have an answer for me... kind regards..Benjamin

Many things are good, but what lets it down is that, for skiing/snowboarding, there is a bunny slope, a red run and a black run, but nothing like a blue run, so it's very hard for beginners to move on.

The Noor Art Gallery, located in the heart of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, is a unique cultural center that showcases an impressive collection of contemporary Tajik art. This top attraction offers vibrant exhibitions and a diverse range of artworks, providing visitors with a captivating glimpse into the local art scene. The gallery is known for its quality products and friendly service, making it a must-visit destination for those interested in shopping for amazing textiles and beautiful local art.
Needed to do some souvenir shopping before my trip home. Noor art gallery in Hyatt was recommended to me. Good choice. A wide variety of products. I bought some jewelry. And then a painting caught my eye. A little bit of bargaining with the artist, but I was still concerned about getting the picture home in one piece. I was told not to worry. The picture would be delivered to my hotel (I was staying elsewhere) carefully wrapped. I was a little hesitant to pay and hope the painting arrived. I need not have worried. Picture was delivered on time and excellently wrapped for carry on, with it's own bag. First class service. Thank you

Amazing souvenir shop! They sell their own handmade items at reasonable prices and won’t try to rip you off. The shopkeeper was very polite and friendly. Highly recommended. It’s located on the second floor of the Hyatt Hotel, so don’t hesitate to walk in and ask the staff at the counter for directions.
David — Google review
The staff was knowledgeable about the art. They send pictures and shipped the products that were carefully packed. Shipping takes time and you must be patient but they are talented and trustworthy artists and crafts people. I purchased some hand made jewelry and a hand made knife with intricate one of a kind carvings and designs. I'll order some paintings next!

National Museum of Tajikistan ..

National museum
The National Museum of Tajikistan, established in 1934, is a spacious and modern museum located in Dushanbe. It offers a comprehensive exploration of the country's history, natural history, and art from ancient to contemporary times. The museum's diverse collections include ancient Buddha statues, archaeological finds, historical documents, and ethnographic items.
We visited the National Museum last year and were very impressed. My highlight was the vast statue of a sleeping Budha and the collection of precious minerals and stones of Tajikistan. The art exhibition was also very interesting. I definitely recommend to visit this museum.
R S — Google review
Much better than the other museum in town. There are 4 floors, each with a specific exhibition (ancient history, modern history, nature and art). And then....the ubiquitous propaganda of course. Ticket is 35 somoni (plus 20 for photos).
David R — Google review
The National Museum of Tajikistan shares several characteristics with other museums in the country. It starts with exhibits from ancient eras, often featuring maquettes of early humans. However, there are many replicas and copies, with only a few items giving a true sense of historical authenticity. Much of the history presented is heavily tied to Iran, making it feel more like a retelling of another country’s past rather than a deep dive into Tajikistan’s own heritage. Additionally, preservation methods for historical artifacts seem inadequate. That said, the building itself is impressive, and the staff and guides are very welcoming.
Niusha B — Google review
Entrance for a measly 35 somoni (though the cashier tried to then charge me 40 somoji when I asked about English translations). An excellent English-speaking young lady greets you upon entry. The ground floor has beautiful ceramics, I guess all recent bc there are no dates?! The first floor has many busts and some interesting textural pieces but the historical items in several rooms are of most interest. Unfortunately it seems this is where photos aren’t allowed?? Utterly ridiculous considering I have been to museums in 80+ countries and photos are OF COURSE allowed. There are room attendants that wander and monitor. Still, I took some photos and think a few of them might have known and didn’t care?! Very confusing. There’s also a circular room with gifts given to the president. Not very interesting save for the very centre of the room having the oldest historical items - beautiful gold jewellery and a crown- in the museum. Photos absolutely prohibited here and an attendant made sure of that. So taking off a whole two stars for that AND NO WESTERN TOILETS for ladies. Only squats 🤮🤮🤮🤮 gross. There are English translations for everything.
Jennifer S — Google review
A nice museum about Tajikistan. I would definitely welcome more English descriptions for better understanding. The museum was clean and pleasantly air-conditioned, which was welcome during the hot summer (40°C) when I was there. I would see room for improvement in the IT section, where most of the touch screens with information were either turned off or on the Windows home screen, which contrasts with the fairly thorough inspection of items at the entrance - they check that you are not bringing anything dangerous into the building, but you could easily access their IT systems
Vojtěch D — Google review
There is Art and history with a sizable sculpture exhibit. Much much better than any of the other museums, though by international standards 3/5 would be generous. The ticket is a reasonable 35.00 Somoni. Wouldn't recommend unless super bored. The only thing that truly awed me was the smallest Quran in the form of a pendant. This was amazing.
Jonathon D — Google review
I visited Tajikistan Twice in 2016 & 2025. National Museum is one of the best for those who love history, natural Heritage, art & craft. Museum covered from Stone Age to modern era. I am businessman but also a numismatist & historian. Luckily my native ancestors city Taxila, one of mankind ancient civilisations city. Modern Taxila situated on Ancient ruins miles & miles. Anyway I liked Dushanbe’s Museum, there’s presentations also museum curator & team Best of luck Tahir Suleman Taxila

Flagpole of Tajikistan

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan, is home to the impressive Dushanbe Flagpole, one of the tallest free-standing flagpoles globally. Standing at a towering height of 165 meters, this monumental structure proudly displays Tajikistan's national flag, which measures 60 meters in length and weighs 420 kilograms.
One of the biggest flag poles in the world. It can be seen from most of the city. It is located in a very nice park with a lot of interesting things to see.
Felipe B — Google review
One of the most striking landmarks I visited in Dushanbe was the Flagpole of Tajikistan, an awe-inspiring monument that proudly flies the national flag high above the city. Standing at 165 meters, it was once the tallest flagpole in the world, and even today, it remains among the tallest globally, a symbol of Tajikistan’s ambition, unity, and national identity. Located in Flagpole Park, near the Palace of Nations and the National Museum, the area surrounding the flagpole is beautifully landscaped and ideal for a relaxing stroll. As I stood beneath the massive flag, waving gracefully in the wind, I felt a sense of respect for the country’s journey and its cultural resilience. What made the visit even more powerful was how the flagpole is not just a piece of engineering—it’s a modern monument to independence. Whether you’re interested in national symbols, architecture, or just want a great panoramic view of Dushanbe, the flagpole is a must-see.
Erwin B — Google review
Massive flagpole. If you like flags, this is the place for you!
Giacomo — Google review
So I visited today on 9/16 and would have loved to see the flag but unfortunately it was empty and there was no flag. Very disappointing.
Ken Z — Google review
The flag pole is currently under renovation. The national flag has been removed and is under a tarp at the bottom of the pole.
Annabelle D — Google review
The State Flag Square of the Republic of Tajikistan is located in the central part of the city of Dushanbe, to the left of the Palace of Nations, on the left bank of the Dushanbinka River. The layout of the square (park) includes an artificial lake with a fountain, wide rectangular alleys with a cascade of fountains, small architectural sculptures depicting the historical forms of heroes of the past and the new building of the National Museum of Tajikistan. The entire territory of the square (park) is decorated with alleys and paths with benches in combination with carpet greenery, trees, flowers and ornamental shrubs. The construction of the flagpole began on November 24, 2010, when Tajikistan celebrated National Flag Day. The official opening took place on August 30, 2011 and was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the republic's independence, which was celebrated on September 9. The flagpole, built in Tajikistan, entered the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest flagpole in the world and remained so until September 2014, when a flagpole with a height of 170 meters was installed in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). The corresponding certificate was presented to the President of Tajikistan by the representative of the Guinness Book of Records. The height of the flagpole was 165 m. The area of the flag is 1800 m², width - 30 m, length - 60 m, weight - 420 kg.

It is home to the giant flagpole and a well-photographed sculpture of Rudaki with stunning views of the city's iconic buildings. This makes it an ideal spot for a summer outing.
A nice park. Vegetations are very well maintained. It’s clean too, like the rest of the city. It’s also quiet, not a lot of people out and about, but it’s serene—the best place to find some peacefulness.

Rudaki Park, also known as Боғи устод Рӯдакӣ, is a prominent and beautifully designed park located in the center of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Named after the famous Persian poet Rudaki, this park offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. With its lush lawns, colorful flower beds, and well-paved walkways, it’s a favorite spot for both locals and tourists to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. The park features several fountains, adding to its tranquil atmosphere, and is home to monuments honoring historical figures, including a striking statue of Rudaki himself. İt's a beautiful and peaceful place in the heart of Dushanbe. The park is well-maintained, with lush green spaces, colorful flower beds, and impressive fountains. The statue of Rudaki adds a cultural and historical touch, making it a great spot for both relaxation and sightseeing. Whether you want to take a leisurely walk, enjoy the fresh air, or simply admire the scenic views, this park is perfect. It’s especially stunning in the evening when the lights create a magical atmosphere. A must-visit if you're in Dushanbe!
Ahmad S — Google review
Rudaki Park was one of the highlights of my time in Dushanbe. Located in the heart of the city, it’s more than just a park. It’s a beautifully designed public space that blends nature, history, and culture all in one. As I walked through the wide, clean paths, I was surrounded by perfectly trimmed gardens, elegant fountains, and striking statues, including the impressive monument of Abu Abdallah Rudaki, whom the park is named. The park had a lively but relaxed atmosphere. Families, students, and tourists all shared the space, some sitting on benches enjoying the view, others taking pictures or simply passing through. What I really appreciated was how well-maintained everything was—it felt safe, welcoming, and full of pride. With the Presidential Palace nearby and views of the city’s beautiful architecture, Rudaki Park is not just a place to relax, but also a great spot to feel the cultural heart of Dushanbe. I highly recommend visiting, especially in the evening when the fountains light up and the air cools down, it’s truly magical.

Babur Garden, also known as Bagh-e Babur, is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed park located in Kabul. Despite the heavy bombardment that destroyed many attractions in the city, Babur Garden has been restored and rebuilt with the assistance of AKTC (Aga Khan Trust for Culture). The garden features 15 terraces and is the burial site of Mughal Emperor Babur.
Bagh-e Babur (Dari: باغ بابر) also known as Gardens of Babur, is a historic site in Chelsatun, Kabul, Afghanistan. It is located in the Sher Darwaza hillside of District 5, southwest of Shahr-e Naw, or a short distance south of Kabul Zoo and north of Chihil Sutun. The gardens of Babur has several terraced buildings, a small mosque, and plenty of walking space. Visited by up to one million locals and foreign tourists a year, it is also where the tomb of the first Mughal emperor Babur is located. The park is thought to have been developed around 1504,when Babur gave orders for the construction of an "avenue garden" in Kabul, described in some detail in his memoirs, the Baburnama. It has been re-developed by various Afghan rulers since then.
Falak J — Google review
Peaceful and uneventful, the history behind the garden is perhaps more interesting than the place itself. Worth a look, but nothing really special to me except being quiet and nice to walk around.
Bjørn — Google review
The Garden of Babur is a historical landmark, dating back to 500 years ago. It has a quite place with green trees. A nice place to hang out with friends and for foreign tourists to visit a historical garden and mausoleum of Babur.
Javad M — Google review
In the heart of Kabul, this Garden shines like a gemstone. Beautiful architecture, very peaceful and amazingly well kept.
Shuja A — Google review
Very pleasant gardens which slope gently up and provides a bit of shade from the heat. There are a couple of drinks stands (energy drinks 😄). Entry was AFN 350 I think. Go straight up the centre and there is a mosque built by Shah Kahan and behind that the mausoleum of Babur. Both are pretty underwhelming in size: the mosque a large classroom size and the mausoleum a large living room. But don’t let that put you off. Babur started the Mughal Empire in India and was a descendant of Genghis Khan and Timur. There are two rows of little souvenir shops just inside the gates with interesting stuff

Tucked away in Peshawar’s old city, the Mahabat Khan Mosque is a real feast for the eyes. Dating back to the 1600s, it’s held up well over time, thanks to solid upkeep. Inside, the walls burst with vivid frescoes, colorful mosaics, and floral patterns that jump out at you. The graceful archways and vaulted roofs lift the whole place up—literally and spiritually. Located in the heart of Peshawar’s old city, Mahabat Khan Mosque stands as a timeless masterpiece of Mughal-era architecture. Built in the 17th century and named after the Mughal governor Mahabat Khan bin Ali Mardan Khan, the mosque reflects the grandeur and elegance of that golden age. Its marble floors, intricate floral engravings, colorful calligraphy, and beautifully designed domes and minarets exemplify the artistic brilliance of the Mughal period. The mosque’s spacious courtyard with a central ablution pond adds to its serene and spiritual ambiance, offering visitors a sense of inner peace. Masjid Mohabat Khan, located in Peshawar's old city, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Built between 1660 and 1670 by the Mughals, the mosque was named after Nawab Mohabat Khan, the Mughal governor of Peshawar who served under Emperor Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. The mosque's stunning white marble façade is one of Peshawar's most iconic landmarks. Key Historical Events Construction The mosque was built on the highest point in the old city, showcasing Mughal architectural expertise. Sikh Rule During the Sikh era, the mosque's minarets were notoriously used for hanging prisoners, with five people executed daily. Soviet Invasion In the 1980s, the mosque served as a gathering place for Afghan refugee tribal elders to forge unity against the Soviet occupation. Restoration The mosque underwent significant restoration work, particularly after being damaged during an earthquake and subsequent renovations. Architectural Significance Mughal Style The mosque features a blend of Islamic and Mughal architectural styles, with intricate frescoes, geometric patterns, and floral motifs. Design The mosque has a rectangular shape with three entrances, a large prayer hall, and two tall minarets. Capacity The mosque can accommodate approximately 14,000 to 30,000 worshippers at a time in its courtyard and prayer hall. Takht-i-Bahi Buddhist Monastery

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Takht-i-Bahi Buddhist Monastery, located in Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, is a well-preserved ancient monastic complex dating back to the early 1st century CE. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980, it holds significant relics from the Gandhara civilization. The site offers guided tours by knowledgeable locals and provides stunning views of the surrounding valley.
I recently visited the Takht-i-Bahi ruins, a historical site located a short distance off the roadside. Unfortunately, there were no clear signboards or directions indicating the route to the ruins. Along the way, I had to ask several people for help before someone provided me with accurate directions. After getting the information, I bought some food and headed toward the ruins. The road leading to the site is accessible for bikes, cars, and even buses. There’s parking available inside the premises, and you’ll encounter a police checkpoint where they verify your identity upon entry. I purchased a ticket for 100 PKR, while the fee for foreigners is 500 PKR. A stone-paved path leads up to the top of the mountain where the ruins are located. Along the way, I saw a banner mentioning that some restoration work had been done with the support of Thailand. There are also benches placed every few meters for resting, which is very thoughtful for visitors. Seeing the ruins for the first time left me astonished. The design, creativity, and sheer effort it must have taken by Buddhist ancestors to carry small stones up the mountain to construct this site are remarkable. When you enter the ruins, the first thing that catches your eye is the stupa. Though it is now empty, with no idols, it still exudes an aura and energy that hint at how life might have been for those who lived there centuries ago. There is also a protective area that overlooks the surrounding grounds. At the end of my visit, I must say that the energy in the air at this site is incredible. It feels calm and peaceful—an experience unlike any other. I highly recommend visiting this site, especially for foreigners. It is safe, and the police presence ensures security.

We Visited the monastery in the afternoon in April ,it was too hot best is to visit in the evenings, a walk from parking to stairs and long stairs takes quite a bit time , the monastery itself is kept in immaculate condition, although the sculptures which were there at the time of excavation are removed and kept uin the museums across Pakistan, most of them are kept in Peshawar Museum for security reasons, the meditation cells where the worshipers practiced mediaition are a must visit inside the monastery along with the conference rooms, class rooms ruins comprise a main stupa court, votive

Dustbin are placed in different points please use it . Regards

It's a wonderful historical place to visit. Access road is a narrow and busy road, so it may take a while to reach the place. The best time to visit is winters. Summer time is not recommended. If you have to visit in summer, either go there early morning or in the afternoon when the sun is not at its peak. Washrooms are available but are as dirty as anywhere else in Pakistan. You have to go up the hill. There are stairs for the purpose. Police is deployed and staff is quite supportive but they are not good at English. If you are a foreigner, you might feel a little uncomfortable as the locals don't seem to have seen many foreigners. Please Google Takht Bhai ruins for the history of the area.

Nature & Parks
Margalla Hills, located near Islamabad, Pakistan, offer a picturesque escape with tree-covered mountains, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife. The area features eight hiking trails that lead to stunning viewpoints and showcase various environments and fauna. Visitors can explore the restored village of Saidpur at the foothills, which offers a glimpse into Islamabad's history through vintage photo exhibitions. Margalla Hills National Park is a protected area known for its lush greenery and recreational opportunities.
Margalla Hills is truly a gem for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, lush greenery, rugged trails, and panoramic views that make every step worth it. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just out for a peaceful walk, there’s a trail for everyone. The air is fresh, the environment is serene, and the peaceful sounds of birds and rustling leaves make you feel completely disconnected from the chaos of city life. It’s hard to believe such natural beauty exists right on the edge of Islamabad! Highly recommend visiting early in the morning for cooler temperatures and a chance to catch a stunning sunrise. Just remember to bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and respect the natural surroundings. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, or challenge yourself with a good hike, Margalla Hills is the perfect escape.
Kinza T — Google review
The Margala Hills are located to the North of Islamabad, and give the city a touch of beauty and serenity. Driving to the top of the hills is a 30 minute drive on a very narrow and steep road. Thus, care is required. At the top of the hill are a few touristic spots and monkeys. Driving further inside leads to a few restaurants. There are a few hiking trails that are worth the time and energy. Each trail starts and ends at the opposite ends of the hills. One point of each hiking trail could be at the top of the hill, while the other end is at the bottom of the hill in Islamabad. Hiking involves climbing up or down the entire hill. Daman-e-Koh is midway between Islamabad and the top of the hills, and is another touristic spot with many people, spots for beautiful views of Islamabad, and a restaurant.
Fahd ب — Google review
Margalla Hills are a natural treasure of Pakistan and one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in Islamabad. Covered with lush greenery, scenic hiking trails, and rich biodiversity, the hills offer a perfect escape from the busy city life. Whether you’re a nature lover, fitness enthusiast, or just looking to enjoy fresh air and panoramic views, Margalla Hills never disappoint. Popular trails like Trail 3 and Trail 5 attract visitors of all ages, offering everything from light walks to challenging hikes. You might even spot monkeys, wild boars, or beautiful birds along the way. The view of Islamabad from the top is simply breathtaking — especially during sunrise or sunset. However, there’s a need for regular maintenance of trails, improved waste management, and better signage in some areas to help first-time visitors navigate safely. Still, Margalla Hills remain one of the most refreshing and revitalizing experiences in Pakistan. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Islamabad.

The Margalla Hills, with their tranquility, serenity, and natural beauty, are a true blessing for the residents of Islamabad. We should express our gratitude for this magnificent mountain range that graces our doorstep. Furthermore, we have a collective responsibility to protect and preserve the diverse wildlife that inhabits this area. Visitors and the government alike must treat the wildlife with utmost care and respect. Let us all strive to maintain the cleanliness of the Margalla Hills, ensuring that it remains free from both trash and immoral activities.

The Monal is a renowned restaurant in Islamabad, Pakistan, offering incredible views of the entire city. It is one of the many dining options available in the capital, alongside other popular restaurants and cafes such as Qishmich Restaurant, Manhattan Steak House, Sakura Japanese Restaurant, and Tuscany Courtyard. Aqs Restaurant stands out not only for its delectable food but also for its art gallery featuring beautiful paintings.
Definitely, Monal was on the top list to dine out with beautiful scenery in capital Islamabad. Adventurer road, awesome service, good food worth the money. I've been there 3 times, very much satisfied with food and services. Will be missed. the restaurant is closed in 2025.

Highly recommended!"*
Zaheer K — Google review
The Monal Islamabad is one of those places you visit not only for the food, but for the complete experience. The panoramic view of Islamabad from the top of Margalla Hills is unmatched — especially around sunset or night when the city lights come on. The food is consistently good, portions are decent, and there’s a good variety in the menu for almost every taste (Pakistani, BBQ, Continental etc.). Service is generally fast considering how busy the place usually is, and the staff is polite and attentive. Parking and getting up the hill can get crowded, especially on weekends, so it’s better to go a bit early. Reservations are also recommended on peak days. Overall — great ambiance, good food, excellent views — worth visiting with family or friends.

We tried their fish and sandwiches. The taste was also good.

Qadeer R — Google review
The Monal Restaurant Here’s a summary review of The Monal Restaurant in Islamabad — what made it special, what its drawbacks were, and where things stand now. --- ✅ What people liked The view: Many reviewers gush about the panoramic view of Islamabad you get while dining at The Monal — a major draw. Ambience & location: The hill-top setting (on the Margalla Hills National Park / Pir Sohawa area) built a memorable, almost “destination restaurant” feel. Diverse menu & good food (some reports): Several reviews say the menu was extensive (Pakistani + international) and some dishes stood out. Service & amenities: Parking/valet help, outdoor seating, family-friendly setups were often noted positively. --- ⚠️ What people complained about Price: Many felt it was expensive, especially compared to local options. Food & service inconsistencies: Some users reported slower service, or food not matching expectations. > “Tbh it will be waste of ur time and money if u r considering visiting monal one last time… Monal disappointed us so much…” Crowds & waiting: Because of its popularity, there were complaints about long wait times and difficulty getting tables without reservation. Environmental & location concerns: There were criticisms that the restaurant’s setting on protected land was problematic. --- 🕒 Current status The restaurant announced closure of its Islamabad location on 11 September 2024 following a court order related to its operation within the national park. Because of this, it’s not entirely clear whether the original location is still operating in the same capacity. Some sources say it was demolished. If you plan to visit, I strongly recommend confirming its operational status before going. --- 🎯 My verdict If I had to give a rating based on user feedback: Ambience & location: 9/10 — excellent setting. Food & value: 6–7/10 — good in places, but some inconsistency and pricey. Service & experience: 7/10 — generally positive, but the crowd and wait times were a drawback. If it were still operating exactly as before, I’d say: Excellent place for a special occasion (especially for the view), but not necessarily the best for everyday casual meal (given cost and waiting). Given the closure announcement though, check current status. --- If you like, I can check for any alternative restaurants in Islamabad with similar views (and maybe better value) and send you a short list. Do you want that?

Shah Faisal Masjid, Islamabad

Mosque
Sights & Landmarks
Shah Faisal Mosque, built in 1987, is a contemporary icon designed to resemble a Bedouin tent. Located at the foothills of Maragalla hills, it is one of Pakistan's largest mosques and the third largest globally. With a capacity for 300,000 worshippers, it features Turkish architectural styles with four tall minarets and an Arab tent-shaped prayer hall.
Faisal Mosque, located in the heart of Islamabad, is a place where spirituality, beauty and tranquility come together. The constructions and unique architecture here automatically take the heart towards the greatness of Allah. Its view among the mountains is so beautiful that one cannot help but stop for a moment and think. Cleanliness, peaceful environment, spacious premises and the spiritual atmosphere during prayer times — everything is unparalleled. This place is not just a mosque, it is a feeling. Everyone who visits Islamabad must visit here. This place really deserves more than 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Awais S — Google review
Wonderful building, stunning architecture. This is one of the most beautiful mosques you're likely to visit. This mosque diversifies itself from the traditional curvature structures to more straight lines and angles which Muslim architecture has seen in the past, the Alhambra Palace in Spain, as an example. Before anyone corrects me, the architect was White European, nevertheless, his finished design doesn't detract from its beauty as a mosque in this 21st century. We'll worth a visit. Surrounded by mountains as a backdrop, it's cinemaesque in its setting.
Tariq K — Google review
The Mosque itself is truly an architectural gem and one of Islamabad’s most iconic landmarks. The grand structure, set against the backdrop of the Margalla Hills, leaves you in awe from the moment you arrive. There’s no entrance fee, so anyone can visit and admire its stunning design and peaceful atmosphere. You will find plenty of taxis waiting in the parking lot, though it’s often more convenient (and sometimes cheaper) to book your own ride through apps like Yango. Visitors should note that shorts are not allowed if you plan to enter the main prayer area — access is usually limited to prayer times only. While the mosque’s beauty remains timeless, some of the walkways are in a dilapidated state and could use maintenance, so watch your step during your visit. Despite that, the overall experience is serene and spiritually refreshing — definitely worth a visit for anyone exploring Islamabad.
Zain S — Google review
Faisal Masjid is an architectural masterpiece and one of Pakistan’s most iconic landmarks. Gifted by King Faisal of Saudi Arabia and completed in 1986, the mosque represents a blend of modern design and traditional Islamic inspiration. Set against the majestic Margalla Hills, its unique tent-like structure and soaring minarets create a breathtaking silhouette visible from miles away. Beyond its striking architecture, the mosque offers a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The vast prayer hall, peaceful courtyards, and beautifully maintained grounds make it an ideal place for reflection, photography, and quiet admiration. Whether you visit for prayer, history, or simply to enjoy its tranquil surroundings, Faisal Masjid provides an experience that is both inspiring and unforgettable.

Moreover outside of the mosque there are stalls of different items. Transport is available 24/7. Highly recommended to visit

🕌 My Visit to Faisal Mosque, Islamabad — Honest Review Faisal Mosque is truly the heart of Islamabad — peaceful, majestic, and beautifully designed. It’s not just a mosque but a symbol of Pakistan’s beauty and spirituality. The view of the mosque with the Margalla Hills in the background is absolutely stunning, especially around sunset or after Maghrib when the lights come on. The architecture is modern yet spiritual, with its large white structure and pointed minarets standing out against the sky. The interior is spacious and calm, perfect for prayer and reflection. Even if you’re not coming to pray, it’s worth visiting just to admire the structure and feel the serene environment. A very useful tip — bring a shopper (plastic bag) with you to keep your chappals or shoes, because footwear is not allowed inside the mosque. There are shoe stands outside, but it’s much safer and more convenient to carry your own in a small bag, especially when the place is crowded. This way, you won’t have to worry about finding your shoes later. The mosque area is clean, well-maintained, and open to visitors of all kinds — families, tourists, and worshippers. There are also lawns and viewpoints nearby where you can sit and enjoy the view or take photos. The atmosphere is peaceful, and you can really feel a sense of calm once you step inside. Parking is available, and usually free, though it can get busy during Jumma prayers or on weekends. Modest dressing is recommended, especially for tourists, as it’s an active place of worship. Overall, Faisal Mosque is a must-visit landmark if you’re in Islamabad — not just for its beauty, but for the spiritual and cultural experience it offers. ⭐ My Rating: 5/5 ✅ Beautiful architecture ✅ Peaceful and spiritual environment ✅ Clean and well-maintained ❌ Footwear not allowed (bring a shopper!) ❌ Gets crowded on weekends Still, it’s one of the most iconic and peaceful places in Pakistan — definitely worth the visit!

Faisal Mosque, located in the beautiful foothills of the Margalla Hills in the F-8 area of Islamabad, is one of the most iconic and majestic landmarks of Pakistan. Its stunning architecture, designed in the shape of a Bedouin tent, makes it truly unique and easily recognizable. The mosque is not only a symbol of Islamic culture but also a masterpiece of modern design, attracting visitors from all over the world. The atmosphere here is peaceful and spiritually uplifting. The large open courtyard, wide marble floors, and beautifully maintained gardens create a calm and refreshing environment. The prayer areas are spacious, clean, and well-ventilated, offering a comfortable place for worshipers. The management has also provided good facilities, including clean washrooms, wudu areas, well-organized parking, and effective security arrangements. Everything is kept neat, which adds to the overall pleasant experience. I have visited Faisal Mosque three to four times, and each visit has been memorable. The beauty of the mosque looks breathtaking in every season, especially during sunset when the surrounding hills and sky create a magical view. Entry is free, and parking is free. You can go there, roam around the park, enjoy the trees, and there’s also a bird-watching area. However, you have to pay for that. There are many small stalls selling various items. No boats are allowed on the lake. I noticed some really awful behavior from a grown man who took pictures and videos of two girls, which I initially thought were with him, but they actually weren’t. He secretly took the video and then walked away as if nothing had happened. I was behind him, so I saw it. Also, the security there is non-existent, so be careful.

There was a time when the place was considered one of the best recreation sites in the city however, over the period of time the lake capacity has reduced thus fishing and boating activity has been reduced. TDCP Patriata Chairlift and Cable Car

Transportation
Mountain cable car
Elevated forest area with populations of monkeys & leopards, accessible by cablecar or chairlift.
An amazing experience overall. Worth the money and time. Few Tips : Go on weekdays, the weekends are packed, you'll need more time to reach the spot because of slow traffic movement. I went on Friday and it took me 1 hour to cover a 20min patch. I feel I'm still lucky ! Parking : They have parking plaza but to avoid hassle free safe parking. Choose a restaurant infront of the mian entrance, order food for when you'll return and they will let you park for free and even take care of your car. Tandoori choocha from Murree restaurant (Tandoori chicken) was 10/10 ! Ticket prices are 1500 for adult 500 for kids under 10 and 3000 for foreigners. Pro Tip : ALWAYS BUY executive tickets, there double the normal ticket but worth the price since you don't have to wait in que of 100+ people for your turn on chairlift + cabelcar. (Very time efficient) First it's 15 min chairlift ride (2 person) to spot 1 where you can sit for a while, connect with nature can have chicken pakora, fries, veg pakora, tea , drinks, Chaat , horse ride , coffee etc. (the taste is just 6/10 but that's ok since what else you can expect on such height) You can rest for 30-45min here , than you'll go via cable car (8 person) to the second spot ; where you can have coffee , tea, there is a glamping option by TDCP and a restaurant too. We stayed there for only 10mins. You'll return by cable car to spot 1 and via chair lift to spot 0 (back to where you started) The total cost of the whole trip for 4 people was 15000 including 4 tickets, 2 photographs and snacks and tea. It's worth the money for a one time experience if you live nature ! Be careful while on chairlift since I saw people have dropped their phones, scarfs and even a jacket. Keep them all in a bag pack , nothing in hand until you're settled. Their is little turbulence so be careful with your phone while recording.
Sundas A — Google review
The chairlift and cable car is good to enjoy but the real mess is with the waiting queue. You will have to wait for more then 2 hours in the queue on weekends to take your turn for the chair lift/cable car. We had purchased the executive tickets and didnt had to wait as they skip you from the queue. If want to really enjoy this ride better not to come on weekend but on weekdays instead. The food here is very expensive. People attitude is average. Good luck
Khurram G — Google review
Wonderful Adventure. Ticket Price: 1500/- Try to avoid weekend days (Fri, Sat, Sun). If you want to go with your family, I would recommend you to go during the early days of the weekend so that you can spend a good time with your family.
Syed H — Google review
I visited this place on a weekday in early October during the off-season, so there was no crowd at all and it was very easy to buy tickets, which cost 1500 per head for a return ticket covering both the chairlift and cable car. It was an amazing experience with fantastic views of the mountains and greenery, and I absolutely loved it. The ride took around 30 minutes to reach the top peak and another 30 minutes to come back. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, but be aware that everything there is quite expensive.
Muhammad A — Google review
The chair lift experience was okay, but nothing very special. The views were nice, but the ride felt a bit slow and crowded during peak time. Ticket prices are a bit high for what you get. Good to try once, but not something I’d repeat often.
Bilal M — Google review
Good experience..ride is approx 7 km including chair lift and cable car..but be advised if you want to enjoy the experience reach early morning at 10 am when the tickets start.timing is 10am-4pm.On weekends there is a lot of rush and you will have to wait hours in queues if you reach late than 11 am.
White D — Google review
It's a very beautiful place, with a green forest, clean air, and silence, and you can go up in the lift together. It's romantic.
Ahmed A — Google review
It was great but hectic experience... 1500 per person normal adult tickets for chair lift and cable car... You can't come back immediately you have to wait for an hour to get your turn in cable car then wait in the line to come back... If your have express tickets worth 3k you can come back immediately without waiting in the queue... There are some locals who can drive you down by road as well... Make sure to take your supplies snacks and water bottle with you as vendors sold those item on high rate .... You must take umbrella or hats with you as it was sunny in the summer but chilly in the evening

Giga Mall is undoubtedly one of the best and most modern shopping destinations in Islamabad. Located on the GT Road near DHA Phase II, it offers a perfect blend of shopping, dining, entertainment, and family-friendly environment. The mall is spacious, well-maintained, and fully air-conditioned, making it a comfortable place to spend time throughout the year. The variety of stores in Giga Mall is impressive. You’ll find all major national and international brands under one roof — from clothing and footwear to electronics, cosmetics, and lifestyle products. Brands like Khaadi, Sapphire, Outfitters, Alkaram, Nike, and Miniso are easily accessible here. For grocery shopping, Carrefour (formerly Hyperstar) is available in the basement, offering a wide range of daily-use items at competitive prices. The food court is located on the top floor and features a wide selection of both local and international cuisines. You can enjoy everything from fast food chains like KFC, McDonald's, and Pizza Hut to desi options and continental meals. The seating area is large, clean, and suitable for families. Giga Mall also offers entertainment options like a cinema, a kids' play area, and seasonal events or exhibitions which are often held in the central atrium. Security is strict, and parking is ample, with both open-air and basement parking available. Cleanliness is maintained across all floors, and the staff is generally helpful and professional. In summary, Giga Mall is more than just a shopping center — it's a complete experience. Whether you're looking to shop, eat, hang out with friends, or enjoy a movie, this mall has it all. A must-visit place for locals and tourists alike.

Tahira M — Google review
Visiting Giga Mall was a very pleasant experience overall. Located on the Main GT Road in the DHA Phase II area, it’s easily accessible and well-signposted for those coming from Islamabad or Rawalpindi. What I liked: The mall is modern, spacious and well-designed. The corridors are wide, natural lighting is used well and there’s a good flow between shopping, dining and entertainment zones. A very large variety of stores: both local Pakistani brands and international labels. You have options for fashion, electronics, accessories, home décor and more—so it works whether you’re shopping for something specific or just browsing. Excellent choice of food & dining options. The food court features popular chains and several cafés—great for a break mid-shopping. Family-friendly entertainment: There is a dedicated kids zone/arcade area (Fun City) which works well if you’re bringing children and want them entertained while you shop. Parking and amenities are good—ample space, lifts & escalators, prayer rooms and some accessible facilities. What to watch / room for improvement: It can get crowded, especially on weekends or during popular sale events. If you prefer a quieter shopping environment, visiting during off-peak hours helps. Some users mention that certain stores feel a bit expensive compared to local markets, so if you’re price-sensitive it may be worth comparing. Some minor complaints around comfort: for example one visitor mentioned the air-conditioning and mobile signal/WiFi could be better. Overall impression: Giga Mall is a solid choice for a full-day outing: shopping, dining, entertainment all in one place. It’s ideal for families, friends or even a solo visit if you want a comfortable modern mall environment. If I were to rate it in key categories: Shopping ease: ★★★★☆ Dining & food court: ★★★★★ Entertainment/ kids area: ★★★★☆ Comfort & amenities: ★★★★☆ Value (relative to malls overall): ★★★☆☆ (good, though some items might feel premium) Tips for your visit: Try to go during weekdays or early afternoon for a bit more space and comfort. If you plan to eat at the food court, maybe explore some of the lesser-known eateries inside the mall in addition to the major chains—they often offer good value. Bring your shopping list and compare prices if you’re aiming for good deals (some high-end brands may cost more). If with children, plan for a stop at Fun City so they can enjoy while you browse. Keep in mind traffic and parking—though ample, peak timing may cause some delays.

I recently visited the masjid located in the basement of the mall, and I have to say, it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by how beautifully the space was lit—the lighting wasn’t just functional but really added to the peaceful and calming atmosphere. It’s clear a lot of thought went into creating an environment that helps people feel relaxed and focused during their prayers. The cleanliness was another thing that stood out immediately. The washrooms and ablution area were incredibly neat and well-maintained, which made a huge difference in comfort and convenience. It’s not always easy to find such clean facilities in busy places like malls, so this was definitely a plus. The shoe rack was also a great feature—having a dedicated place to keep shoes organized shows that the management pays attention to the little details that matter to visitors. Beyond the physical setup, the whole masjid felt welcoming and well cared for. The layout was spacious enough to accommodate a good number of people without feeling crowded, and the overall ambiance made it easy to find a moment of peace even in the middle of a bustling mall. It’s clear that this masjid isn’t just an afterthought but a thoughtfully designed space that prioritizes the needs and comfort of those who come to pray. All in all, I was really impressed with the masjid. It combines practical features with a warm, inviting atmosphere, making it one of the nicest and most comfortable masjids I’ve visited, especially within a mall setting. If you’re ever at that mall and need a place to pray, this masjid is definitely worth checking out.

Khewra Salt Mine Tour I recently visited the Khewra Salt Mine and had a memorable experience. It's an impressive site—fascinating both in terms of natural beauty and historical value. The moment you enter, you can feel the uniqueness of the place, with tunnels carved out of pink Himalayan salt and beautiful salt formations illuminated with colorful lights. One thing to note: there was a bit of a wait for the train that takes you into the mine. It's a small electric train that only carries a limited number of people at a time, so depending on the crowd, you might have to be patient. But once on board, it’s a short and enjoyable ride through the salt tunnel. The entire tour lasts around an hour, which is just enough time to explore the main highlights, including salt sculptures, the underground mosque, the mini salt bridge, and a small brine pool. The guide was knowledgeable and shared some interesting facts about the history and working of the mine. Overall, it’s a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area. Just be prepared for a short wait, and wear comfortable shoes, as there’s a bit of walking involved after the train ride.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Khewra Salt Mines, and it was truly a fascinating experience! Known as the second-largest salt mine in the world, this site offers a unique combination of natural beauty, history, and engineering. The journey through the tunnels carved out of pink Himalayan salt was breathtaking. The air inside felt clean and cool, and the walls glittered with crystals. There are beautiful salt carvings inside, including a mini replica of the Badshahi Mosque, a model of Minar-e-Pakistan, and other landmarks — all made entirely of salt! The salt mosque inside the mine was a peaceful and spiritual place, beautifully lit and well-maintained. The underground lake and salt bridge were also very impressive. The tour guide was informative and made the experience even better by sharing historical facts and interesting stories about the mine. There are facilities for families and tourists, including a small train ride that takes you deep into the mine. Shops outside sell pink salt lamps and other souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall, Khewra Salt Mines is a must-visit for anyone interested in nature, geology, or history. A great place for families, students, and tourists alike. Highly recommended!

It’s a nice beautiful ruins of an old fort. The tour guide seemed knowledgeable and kept us entertained with facts about the place. There is a lot of walking and climbing stairs involved so be careful. There is a golf cart bus service available too but it’s limited. Make sure to take water with you. Wear clothes that will go straight to the washer later.

Rohtas Fort is located on the outskirts of Dina city, about a 30-minute drive from the city center. As someone who has visited many forts due to my interest in history, I can confidently say this is the largest and most impressive fort I have seen. It’s massive, very well-preserved, and heavily fortified. We had an elderly guide who gave us an excellent tour, explaining the history behind every part of the fort — why it was built, how it was built, and who built it. The fort was constructed by Sher Shah Suri as a defense against Mughal invasions. Architecturally, it’s designed to function as a fortified city, and its structure shows how advanced and secure it was in the 16th century. The fort is not just historically rich but also a peaceful place ideal for contemplation and relaxation. It has multiple gates, each historically linked to different cities. For anyone interested in history, this site is highly recommended. However, a few things to keep in mind — if you're visiting with young children, be very careful. Many areas on top of the fort lack protective barriers or walls, making it risky for small kids. There is a canteen, but the prices are very high. I suggest bringing your own food and especially water. I visited in January, during winter, and even then, walking around the fort was exhausting. Water is a must. There is also a museum inside the fort, which is free to enter. However, photography is not allowed inside the museum. Despite these minor issues, Rohtas Fort is a fantastic place to visit for anyone who appreciates history and heritage.

A Majestic Fort with a Strong Summer Warning Rohtas Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site near Jhelum, is a monumental testament to 16th-century Muslim military architecture. Commissioned by the formidable Pashtun ruler Sher Shah Suri, its massive walls and strategic location make it an essential destination for history and architecture enthusiasts. However, visitors should heed a crucial piece of advice: exploring the grandeur of Rohtas Fort is an experience best saved for the cooler months, as the intense summer heat can make a visit extremely challenging. A Glimpse into a Storied Past Built between 1541 and 1548, the fort was a masterpiece of strategic design, intended to suppress local tribes and defend against the return of the exiled Mughal emperor, Humayun. The architecture is a fascinating blend of Afghan, Persian, and local traditions, creating a unique style that later influenced Mughal forts. The sheer scale is breathtaking, with fortified sandstone walls stretching over four kilometers, punctuated by 68 bastions and 12 monumental gates. Key structures like the Haveli Man Singh, the Rani Mahal, and the impressive Shahi Mosque offer a glimpse into the life and culture of the era. Why Summer Visits are Not Recommended The summer in Punjab brings extreme heat, and the fort's exposed, rugged terrain offers little respite. Exploring the vast 70-hectare expanse requires extensive walking on uneven ground, which becomes a strenuous and uncomfortable task under the scorching sun. For a pleasant and truly immersive experience, planning your visit during the cooler, more forgiving months from October to March is highly recommended. Planning Your Visit Rohtas Fort is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Entry tickets are priced at PKR 500 for foreign tourists and PKR 50 for local visitors. Given the fort's vastness, consider hiring a local guide. It is essential to wear comfortable walking shoes and to bring an ample supply of water and snacks, as facilities within the fort are limited. A Must-See, but in the Right Season Rohtas Fort is a magnificent historical site that offers a captivating journey into the past. Its grandeur and architectural brilliance are undeniable. However, to fully appreciate its splendor, it is essential to visit during the right season to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience.

Rohtas Fort (قلعہ روہتاس) is a majestic 16th-century fortress located near the city of Jhelum in Punjab, Pakistan. Built by the Afghan king Sher Shah Suri, this architectural marvel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a remarkable example of early Muslim military architecture in South Asia. The fort was constructed to suppress the local Gakhar tribes and to act as a strategic defense post against the Mughal emperor Humayun. Spread over 70 hectares, Rohtas Fort boasts massive walls, towering gateways, and over a dozen bastions that reflect its military significance. Its most famous gateway, the Sohail Gate, stands as a grand entrance showcasing fine stonework and historical inscriptions. The fort also contains barracks, stepwells, and a mosque, all preserved in a stunning natural setting surrounded by hills and countryside. Visiting Rohtas Fort is like stepping back in time—offering not just a visual treat for history lovers and architecture enthusiasts, but also a peaceful escape from urban life. It's a perfect destination for anyone interested in Pakistan's rich heritage and offers great opportunities for photography, exploration, and learning.

A critical page of military history of the region. The place has not been given the care it deserved. This heritage site is highly dilapidated with no care or maintenance whatsoever. Authorities need to seriously consider it's care and maintenance before it's all gone.

Fun Dunya in Gujranwala is a fantastic place for a family day out, especially if you have young children. I recently visited with my wife and daughters, and we all had a wonderful time. The variety of activities and rides available for children kept them entertained for hours. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring safety while allowing the kids to fully enjoy the rides. The atmosphere was vibrant, with colorful play areas and clean facilities. The food options were also decent, offering a range of snacks that the whole family enjoyed. Overall, it's a great place to relax and have fun with the family, and we will definitely be visiting again!

**Fun Dunya Amusement Park, Gujranwala - A Decent Family Outing** I visited Fun Dunya Amusement Park in Gujranwala with my family, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience, though it had its highs and lows. Located on G.T. Road in Fazal Centre, the park is easy to access and offers a variety of rides and activities suitable for kids and adults alike. The park has a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere with colorful rides like bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, pirate ship, and a train ride, which my kids loved. The indoor arcade was a pleasant surprise, with modern games that kept everyone entertained. The horror house was a hit with my teenagers, though it wasn’t as scary as we expected. The park is clean, and the staff is generally cooperative, which made the experience smoother. The surrounding food court and shopping area add convenience, making it a one-stop spot for a day out. However, there are some drawbacks. The rides, while fun, felt a bit limited compared to larger amusement parks, and some, like the dodgem cars, were slower than expected. A few attractions needed maintenance, which was noticeable. The food inside the park was disappointing—overpriced and not particularly tasty, so we opted for shawarma from a nearby restaurant, which was much better. Ticket prices for rides can add up quickly since entry is free but each attraction requires a separate fee (e.g., horror house at 250 PKR, wristband at 790 PKR for select rides). Visiting on a weekday helped us avoid crowds, but I can imagine weekends being hectic. Overall, Fun Dunya is a solid choice for a fun family day out in Gujranwala, especially for younger kids. It’s not a world-class theme park, but it’s a great local spot for a few hours of entertainment. I’d recommend bringing your own snacks, visiting during cooler months, and checking ride prices beforehand to budget.

had an amazing time at fun dunya From the moment we walked in, everything was well-organized, clean, and full of energy. The variety of rides was impressive—whether you're a thrill-seeker or looking for family-friendly attractions, there's truly something for everyone. The roller coasters were a major highlight—smooth, exciting, and safe. The lines moved fairly quickly, and staff were friendly and efficient throughout the park. The food options were better than I expected, with lots of choices ranging from classic snacks to full meals. We also caught a couple of live shows, which were entertaining and professionally done. The park was beautifully themed, with lots of photo-worthy spots and attention to detail. Highly recommend buying tickets in advance and arriving early to make the most of your day. Whether you're going with family, friends, or as a couple, this park offers a full day of fun and memories you won’t forget! Can’t wait to come back next season! --- Would you like it to be tailored for a specific amusement park (like Disneyland, Six Flags, etc.) or for a particular type of experience (family trip, couples visit, kids birthday, etc.)?

Best place for family entertainment but quite expensive. I would love to visit again. Revisited Tuesday, June 10-2025 Very Disappointing Experience at Fun Dunia Family Park Not recommended at all My recent visit to Fun Dunia left a very poor impression. The services are getting worse while the prices keep rising. Although I could afford it and paid for everything, I couldn’t stop thinking about how a middle-class family would struggle to bring their children here. All the rides were extremely expensive, turning what should be a joyful family outing into a financial burden. On top of that, the staff behavior was absolutely unacceptable. They seemed untrained, unprofessional, and completely unaware of how to speak to or welcome customers. For a place that claims to be family-friendly, this kind of attitude is simply not acceptable. Fun Dunia seriously needs to reconsider both its pricing and customer service standards.

One of the best places in Gujranwala for everyone—children and adults alike—is Fun Dunya. It's an exciting destination where kids will have a fantastic time. My experience there was wonderful, with everything rated a perfect 10/10. Unlike most children's attractions, where cleanliness is often overlooked, Fun Dunya maintains high standards, and every ride was impeccably clean. The entry ticket costs 100 PKR, with individual rides priced between 140-190 PKR. The Horror House is 250 PKR. The water ride is enjoyable, but be prepared for wet clothes. Armed forces personnel receive discounts of 40-50 PKR on rides and 80 PKR on entry, though there’s no discount on the wristband, which costs 790 PKR and isn't valid for certain attractions like Xride and dodgem cars. Food options are limited, mainly burgers and snacks, but the bathrooms are clean and conveniently located near the café and indoor play areas. The indoor play area requires a separate card for 500 PKR. The best ride attractions are for kids, and Fun Dunya is undoubtedly the top spot to take your children in Gujranwala. The rides are reasonably priced, and the place has an amazing Disney World-inspired design. I highly recommend it to all visitors of Gujranwala. It’s a fantastic experience, and all parents should visit with their children to enjoy a memorable day. Wonderful amusing place. Loved being there.
