When visiting Fukuoka, make sure to experience the iconic Yatai food stalls. These wheeled stalls offer a unique opportunity to sample Fukuoka's street food and immerse yourself in the local culture. With only around seven or eight seats, you'll find yourself dining shoulder to shoulder with locals, creating an unforgettable cultural experience. The stalls are scattered throughout Fukuoka, but the ones in Nakasu are highly recommended.
Very traditional Japanese food stall. Good food and chill atmosphere
Ngoc T — Google review
There are a number of stalls lined up along the canal. They all serve similar foods, ranging from onden to yakitori and ramen. It’s fast paced eating in a crammed space. A unique experience but not necessarily the most enjoyable. Food is just alright for the price.
Daniel O — Google review
The Yatai experience was a bit overwhelming with so many stalls to choose from. We ended up picking one with a shorter line and quickly got seats. We ordered oden, grilled beef, and grilled mentaiko. We especially liked the grilled items—they were soft and tasty. We also had a glass of highball each. The atmosphere was fast-paced and quite cramped. Also it was quite expensive, total for this order was in It was $41sgd; more about the experience than enjoyment for us
Josephine C — Google review
The ambiance and food is good, but some stuffs like the drinks is kind of overpriced. Worth trying it for first time.
JMGAB — Google review
I think it is okay to try one of these food stalls if you are a tourist. Just once though. But the very good ones have super long lines and the so-so ones are tourist traps. Why tourist traps? While you wait (in the rain when we went) they take your order and after about 20 to 30 mins waiting (this one was one of the so-so ones) you get to sit down and the food arrives when we sit and they were all cold already. And you can only order once while you were standing on line. So you eat these cold items while you look for condiments that were all empty… bill comes when you about to leave and it is close to Yen 3000 for some yakitori sticks and a side dish of grilled asparagus and mushrooms. Skip these stalls unless you enjoy standing on a line and get cold food at the end. There are plenty of izakaya in Nakasu just a few feet away from these very expensive and inconvenient yatais.
Jung L — Google review
The place is always packed with people. It makes sense that the stalls want to accommodate as many people as possible. Hopefully, more space could be given to the stalls so that more people can enjoy the wonderful food.
Jude M — Google review
I had a fun time eating outside watching the sun go down but it definitely felt touristy. I think everyone should try it once when they go to Fukuoka but it's a little over priced for the food that you get.
Suzy M — Google review
Sadly there were not many yatai when I visited. The one I went to was nice. Proces at all of them are exorbitant but you're paying for the experience of a dying tradition.

Kushida Shrine, located in Fukuoka city, is a significant urban site that holds the annual Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival. The shrine is deeply cherished by locals and is known for blessing longevity and business prosperity. It features a distinctive architectural style and houses a crane bronze sculpture as well as a spiritual spring believed to prolong life when consumed.
Old and popular shrine around this area. Even for me, this was the first visit. The land is not big, but traditional gate, main shrine, etc, all buildings are well maintained and felt my spirit was cleared during the stay and pray here.. *For lucky charm area, photo shoot is not allowed, so please be careful the warnings. I'm pretty sure this visit won't disappoint you :) #tourist spot #shrine #tradition culture
H K — Google review
This place feels like an isle of calm inside a bustling city, it amazes me how quiet it was in here! It feels like being taken back 300 years in time, the buildings were incredible and everyone I saw bowed to the shrines and was very respectful, contributing to the atmosphere. There were many small temples and even a pond with koi fish in it. So far my favourite place in all of Fukuoka!
Tobias — Google review
Let’s go visit some temples while in Fukuoka. This is just one of many and all that I visited were beautiful. I’m absolutely positive that I missed a bunch but at some point it gets overwhelming or just starts looking the same. Not being disrespectful but it’s a lot.
Hash M — Google review
A must-visit spot in Fukuoka! Kushida Shrine is rich in history and culture, with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful architecture. The decorative Yamakasa floats are stunning—even outside of festival season. Easy to access from Hakata Station, and perfect for a quick spiritual stop or a deeper cultural experience. Highly recommended for anyone exploring Hakata!
Yummy L — Google review
Nestled conveniently in the heart of Hakata, the Kushida Shrine is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone exploring Fukuoka. As one of the city's oldest shrines, it offers a peaceful escape and a tangible connection to centuries of Japanese culture, all without costing a single yen. Stepping through the imposing wooden gate, you're immediately struck by the shrine's immaculate condition. The grounds are well-maintained and spotlessly clean, radiating an aura of respect and tranquility. Despite its central location near Gion Station (just a minute's walk from the metro), the atmosphere inside is remarkably peaceful and unhurried. Visiting on a weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to find it uncrowded, allowing for quiet contemplation and easy exploration. While the shrine complex isn't sprawling, its compact size feels intimate rather than limiting. The main hall and auxiliary buildings are beautiful examples of traditional Shinto architecture, featuring intricate woodwork, gleaming brass, and the distinctive thatched roof of the main hall. Every corner feels highly photogenic, from the majestic ancient gingko tree to the ornate lanterns and the vibrant sub-shrines dotting the grounds. Informative plaques provide fascinating insights, making it a great place to learn about the region's rich history and spiritual traditions.
Sorlo S — Google review
Kushida Shrine another free shrine and is one of Fukuoka’s larger and busiest shrines, bustling with visitors throughout the day. There’s plenty to see, from impressive architecture to traditional decorations, but be prepared for crowds that can make photography challenging. You can also buy fortune slips here—if your luck isn’t great, you can tie the slip to a designated tree to leave the bad fortune behind. A vibrant and lively spot that’s well worth a visit.

Entire busloads of Korean and Chinese tourists arrive full throttle in front of Kushida Shrine. They pour out in tight groups, and the shrine’s calm is shattered. Within minutes, this sacred place turns into a tourist crossroads, saturated with selfies and noise.

This European-inspired mall offers a charming escape on rainy days with its alluring entrances adorned with stained-glass windows and hand-laid stone walkways. Conveniently connected to major stations and department stores in the Tenjin area, it's an ideal destination for souvenir shopping or seeking shelter from the weather.
Take your time walking through this Mall. So much to see and buy and eat and try! Get your bearings and take note of exits. Convenient and safe access to Malls and other streets. Much Appreciated When Temperature hits 0 degrees Celsius or lower. Clean Restrooms 🚻 / washrooms.
SHEILA R — Google review
A stunningly beautiful and convenient underground walkthrough mall that connects to many shops and buildings in the area, especially when it's too hot, too cold, too windy or too sunny, this underground walkthrough mall helps in all weather conditions and situations with many fine details in the interior to be found. A great way to spend time looking around and a convenient way to get wherever you're going 😊👍
Yosui K — Google review
This underground mall is long stretching from Tenjin station (orange line) to Tenjin Minami station (green line). There are 2 major thoroughfare with shops lining both sides. So make sure you walk through both as there’s lots to see. Retail and fnb plentiful. There are many entry and exit points to surface in case you get phobia of being underground for so long 😉 there are also exits to various large shopping complexes like Daimaru etc. look out for a ladies restroom which is amazing and definitely not what u often see. It’s more like a powder room than a restroom with nice interior and decor. No such luck for men 😡 🤪
Ken N — Google review
Very convenient underground mall with access to all the department stores nearby. You can quite literally spend an entire day here shopping, because it has all the shops you need. You can also get food here and some really delicious matcha. The bathrooms are clean and accessible. Highly recommend coming here to shop, but it does get crowded.
Kat — Google review
They close on 20:00 sharp! I am really surprised suddenly the staff press the shop door on the exact 20:00 🤣 A good place to shop local or international brand with luxury vibe street style
Hellen — Google review
One of the most impressive infrastructures in Fukuoka connecting a vast array of shopping malls, buildings, and transport network; allows one to move around the area without experiencing the harsh summer weather; also a good variety of shops and restaurants connected by this underground arcade
Gaga B — Google review
An interesting indoor shopping street with various shops on both sides. Unique architecture design providing a convenient passageway to travel without worrying about the traffic on the road. It is connected to major department stores/malls and Subway Stations.

Tenjin Underground Mall is a long, stylish shopping arcade beneath the city, lined with boutiques, cafes, and convenience stores. It’s clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate, offering a comfortable escape from the weather. Great for browsing, grabbing a coffee, or people-watching. Conveniently connected to Tenjin Station and nearby malls and so very busy on the weekends.

Beautiful and Relaxing City Escape 🌸🏞️ Ohori Park is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Fukuoka! The large lake surrounded by walking paths and greenery makes it perfect for a morning stroll, jog, or paddleboat ride. The scenery changes beautifully with the seasons — cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant colors in autumn. There are also cozy cafés and benches where you can just sit and enjoy the view. A wonderful spot to unwind and enjoy nature right in the heart of the city! 🌿☕🦆
Ong I — Google review
Amazing park! During the summer its very hot but lots of big trees which gives a lot of shade when needed. For ¥250 we also visited the Japanese garden, 10/10 recommend. Very relaxing and quiet, not a lot of people.
Vivian T — Google review
Ohori Park is a spacious, well-maintained park with plenty of joggers and a separate path for walkers, making it enjoyable for everyone. Free to enter, the paths are clean, with nice views across the lake and a pleasant walkway through the middle. You’ll see dog walkers and locals relaxing throughout the day. Toilets are clean, Western style, and adequate. Easy to reach from Hakata Station by bus #9 — about 260 JPY per person.
Karen G — Google review
Many of the facilities are thoughtfully designed and very practical. It’s a great place for families of all ages to relax and spend time together. There’s a large playground, as well as barbecue and picnic areas. You can rent boats by the lake, and there’s also a museum to visit. It’s an excellent spot to let your pets roam, ideal for seniors to take leisurely walks, and perfect for young people to go jogging. There are also many dining options nearby, so you can easily spend an entire day here.
Vien C — Google review
We were visiting Hakata-Fukuoka on a cruise liner and decided to visit Ohori Park. We took a train to the park... a large man-made lake (pond) with bridges to a small central island. At one end is a Japanese Garden (200 yen entry per adult) which is well worth a visit. Toilets are available inside the gardens. Car parking also available.
Steve D — Google review
If you’re in the area come for a walk or run. Super cool area with tons to see or just relax and enjoy the scenery. The castle was closed when we went but we got some tea and small bites from a shop along the trail.
Charlie W — Google review
A beautiful place to chill and unwind. Ohori Park is perfect for a relaxing walk, a quiet picnic, or just enjoying the peaceful lake view. Many people come here to jog, sit by the water, or simply take in the calm surroundings. A great spot to slow down and enjoy Fukuoka’s nature.

Fukuoka Tower

Mentioned on
+79 other lists
Observation deck
Sights & Landmarks
Fukuoka Tower is a modern skyscraper in Fukuoka, Japan, offering an observation deck with panoramic views of the city and bay. It stands at a height of 234 meters, providing visitors with stunning vistas of the glittering city below. The tower also features dining options and a lounge for visitors to relax and enjoy the scenery.
It was a gloomy evening when we visited Fukuoka Tower around 6 p.m. There was no line at the ticket counter, and the entrance fee was ¥1,000 per person. We stayed for about 30 minutes because that’s all it really takes to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. Perhaps because it’s a major tourist spot, the admission feels a bit pricey for what it offers. It’s best to visit the tower later in the evening to see the city lights. Visited in late September 2025.
LA F — Google review
Comparing the place, the ticket price is high. Overhyped. I think the space is not enough for too many people. They should limit the number of people so that everyone can enjoy the place. There is no seating option, so it is difficult to stand for long periods of time and enjoy the view. If I had known this beforehand, I would not have gone because I have severe back pain. You can't even sit on the floor. There are some places to take pictures, but if you ask the staff there, they won't take pictures, you have to ask the person behind the line to take pictures. So it's better if you can go with your own group. Overall I don't like it.
Dil A — Google review
I know it’s a touristy spot but it’s something that you should go to see especially if it’s an nice cloud free day. I’d probably recommend going at night or during sunset because you’ll get the best views. If you go on a weekend I’d probably recommend you buy your tickets early to skip the line. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop and walk across the street to check out the other places.
Nathan O — Google review
Not the Tower's fault, we took a gamble on if the weather would hold out. The rain and clouds came about 10 minutes after we got to the top. Once the clouds hit, we couldn't see anything. It had a 6 stamp rally. Photos to take awesome foggy photos in 2 spots. There is a love locket and a pin ball machine to get your fortune! We still had a good time with what we had!
Yuuki A — Google review
Great spot for panoramic views of Fukuoka and Hakata Bay. Best time is around sunset — city lights look amazing. The tower area is clean, modern, and easy to reach. Not a long visit but worth it for the scenery and photos.
Uttapong R — Google review
Video and photo taken with an iPhone 12, so it doesn’t do the view justice. Breathtaking sunset views of Fukuoka. Little to no waiting time. Glass windowed Elevator allows for views on the way up as well. The observation deck was spacious enough for everyone, not as crowded as Kyoto tower. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Fukuoka!
Justin Y — Google review
I went there at the end of july and it was a great experience, even though there was a lot of people there, it didn’t hinder me from getting good photos of the sunset of the sea. The surrounding beach environment is really picturesque at sunset.
San — Google review
The night view of Fukuoka is exceptionally impressive, with a relatively low number of visitors. I visited the location around 8pm on a weekday. There are staff members present who provide guidance and information about the building in Japanese. While purchasing tickets on-site is acceptable, it is recommended to reserve tickets online in advance to avoid queues.

The Mt. Kagamiyama West Observation Deck offers panoramic views of Karatsu Bay and the Niji No Matsubara Pine Grove. Positioned atop a hill, it is accessible by car due to steep and winding roads. The deck provides an awe-inspiring vista of Karatsu City and the sea, making it a popular destination for locals who come to watch sunsets or enjoy picnics in the surrounding area. Visitors can also explore different parts of Mt.
I was impressed by the panoramic view. Pine-covered beaches are rare, which makes this place even more special. The park is well maintained, and I saw turtles and koi fish in the pond.

This park is a quiet with a wealth of nature and easy to visit, not so far from central Karatsu city. There are sidewalks, shrines, observatories, some little historical sites and toilets throughout this large park so I could enjoy walking around comfortably. If it’s sunny, I’d recommend.

Aaron V — Google review
It's a great place to experience sunset! You have both mountains and sea in your view. You can see the Kartsu Castle from here. There are gift shop, pottery shop and a Udon shop here. You have to park your car a bit far from the main observatory. It's a 5 minute walk. You will enjoy and remember the view of the nature from here, for the rest of your life. Going here, @ sunset time is highly recommended.

Gorgeous scenery and a friendly, kind uncle who works there guided me on how to walk to the viewing platform. If I get a chance to visit Japan again, I will definitely go to Kagamiyama and meet him again.

It's difficult to get without transportation. But we managed to walk along the road like 10 km total to get up and down. It worth it. Need to be aware of the time, have to get down before sunset if you're walking cause it will become very dark.

During my recent visit to Hibikinadaryokuchi Green Park, I decided to enter through the South Gate for the first time. Sacred & Religious Sites
Miyajidake Shrine is a stunning Shinto shrine that boasts seasonal blooms such as cherry trees and azaleas. One of its main attractions is the Path of Light, which has been featured in a Japanese commercial. This path offers a breathtaking view of the sunset extending from the shrine's approach, especially during winter and spring. Visitors can also enjoy beautiful scenery along the approach during daytime, weather permitting.
I really enjoyed this shrine. The complex was huge and even with tons of people it felt spacious. There is a hiking trail that's about 2km but along the trail there is another deity at the top of the mountain about 600m in. It was about 25 to 30 mins from the main trail in the shrine but lots of incline. Would go only if it hasn't rained for a few days but definitely worth the mental refresh once you've reach the top. Also straight shot to the ocean from the shrine. Around 20 min walk.
Leggo M — Google review
Beautiful shrine, bit hard to get to, 30 minutes walk from a train station if you don't take the bus. Visited 13th April and saw loads of cherry blossom trees.
Kristyna T — Google review
Worth the ride to see this beautiful place! Easy commute only 30+ mins to get to Fukuma from Hakata, and a quick mini bus (no.2 the blue line) ride. I walked back to the train station along the main road it only took 30-35 mins.
Carmen C — Google review
It is a spectacular shrine, and it is well decorated during this special summer event time. There are many nice shrines also around the main shrine for exploration, we can take photos freely and there is no entrance free. This is definitely a top shrine to be visited!
Skyy S — Google review
I was able to visit the shrine during its festival and received a commemorative goshuin. I also got to see the procession, and there were several snack booths as well. The shrine has many stairs, but it’s definitely worth the climb and offer intentions. We took the JR train from Hakata to Fukuma Station, then a bus that stops directly at Miyajidake Shrine. Visited in late September 2025.
LA F — Google review
This Shrine is awesome, there's so much to see and pray at The area is very large and spacious. There wasn't a crowd, no waiting and no dress code. Admission is Free. Nestled in the northwest region of Fukuoka, Munakata Shrine is a captivating Shinto shrine complex that pays homage to the three goddesses known as Munakata Sanjo-shin. This ancient site, steeped in history and mythology, comprises three distinct shrines: Okitsumiya on Okinoshima Island, Nakatsumiya on Oshima Island, and Hetsumiya in Munakata itself.
This is a very beautiful shrine. But it was raining n cold day so i c could not take much picture. Im sure i ll visit again and try to visit another shrine on the island.

A place you feel good being there. I went from Tokyo, flew to Fukuoka and took a bus and door to door totally took me 5 hours but i really enjoyed the experience. Clean air to clean my soul.

Great shrine that has one of the oldest shrine history in Japan. Three female deities are enshrined separately and two of them are in isolated islands but you can visit them virtually all in one location as they have two little shrine branches here in the back of the main building. Spiritual feeling there as walking there. It's free. Only the optional treasure museum requires the fee.

we should use a taxy from JR TOGO st. because there's only one bus in 1hr. and I don't know why, busses leave TOGO station before trains reach. However, there are so many beautiful small shline and atmosphere is so clean! sometimes, pack tourist from south KOREA and CHINA are noisy. but after some ten minuits, they will go away with big busses. and when you have a good luck, you can find nice taxy driver and he/she takes you a miyadhidake shrine through special place! and it costs only 2,800 JPY inc tax and chips. OOHPS, Munakata Taisha is world wide famous place! I recommend you when you go to Munakata Taisha, to go to Miyadgidake Jinja, too.

One of the first pagodas I have visited in Japan. Fortunately, it was an amazing experience. Despite the language barrier, I could feel the traditional in every little thing around here. Especially the forrest which likely brings visitors to a peaceful world. The history and legend of this place can be searched on Internet easily though.

First time visiting this shrine that was designated as a World Heritage Site and exactly one year ago. The outdoor Kabuki performance by world renowned Ebizo Ichikawa was the highlight that started at dusk. Crowd control of the 3000+ patrons was flawless and the city even arranged for additional express buses to the JR station before and after the performance

The Ikikoku Museum offers a unique perspective of Harunotsuji, making it an ideal spot for sunset viewing. The museum provides a different vantage point from which to appreciate the scenery, adding to its appeal as a destination for enjoying the evening sky.
Displaying Iki's history, including the diorama of nearby Harunotsuji ruins, which was the capital of "Iki state", described in the Chinese historical text of "Records of the Three Kingdoms." The building itself is great too, designed by a famous architect, with the wavy roof imitating mountain ridges to blend in with the surrounding landscapes. There is an observation deck at the top of the tower.

Great museum. Delicate dioramas with a humorous side, interesting walls of history and a cool interactive kids area. The tower overlooks 400ha of flat land. The video presentation is interesting, showcasing the history then curtain drops down to show the original village. Enjoyed it

Very good museum to trace ancient Japan's relationships with the continent. Kisho Kurokawa's design of the building fits well with the surrounding views.

Saruiwa (Monkey Rock)

Scenic spot
Nature & Parks
Saruiwa, also known as Monkey Rock, is a famous landmark on Iki Island. This 45-meter high basalt rock is located in the western part of the island and is renowned for its unique shape that resembles a monkey. Situated at the tip of the Kurosaki Peninsula, Saruiwa offers breathtaking scenery with its massive monkey-like rock and beautiful vertical joints.
Our family trip to Monkey Rock on Iki Island was an unforgettable adventure. The journey began with a scenic drive through the lush, green landscapes of the island, setting the tone for a day filled with wonder and excitement. As we approached Monkey Rock, we were greeted by the striking rock formation resembling a monkey’s face, which instantly fascinated both the kids and adults. The area around Monkey Rock is rich in natural beauty, with stunning coastal views and vibrant, unspoiled nature. We spent the morning exploring the rocky shoreline, where the kids delighted in discovering tiny crabs and colorful sea creatures in the tide pools. The air was filled with the sound of waves crashing against the rocks and the distant calls of seabirds, creating a serene and captivating atmosphere. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in a nearby park, surrounded by the island’s unique flora. Sharing stories and laughter, we felt a deep sense of connection with each other and the natural world around us. In the afternoon, we hiked along one of the scenic trails, taking in the panoramic views of the ocean and the island’s rugged coastline. Our visit to Monkey Rock on Iki Island was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and family bonding, leaving us with cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for this beautiful corner of the world.

The most iconic spot in Iki Island. The rock indeed looks like a monkey with his back and his head looking to the left side. There are also a parking lot, a souvenir shop and a toilet here. Free entrance, no tickets, so it is worth for pictures. But other than that, there’s nothing much to do. I visited this place on May 17 at around 5:30 PM, but there was no one here. I guess the reason was that it was still not peak season and was quite late. The sky was gloomy on thay day. Only the rock surprised me cuz it really does resemble a monkey, though the sea view was like “meh…” to me. I think the sea view would have been beautiful if it had been sunny.

Cycled from the port. There are some nice bays along the way. definitely looks like a primate, we were having a discussion on which one. Nice park with plenty of parking there's a small store and a great smoothie caravan which was perfect after our ride. Just before park is the old gun emplacement.

It was very queit but very beautiful! You can get a very nice view of the rock. If you are near you should go for sure!

Great attraction, and fun drive to get there. We arrived late afternoon, so the monkey was backlit by the sun, which made it a little difficult to see. It looked as if the monkey was looked at the sun, which was fun.

It does indeed look like a monkey. (Original a gorilla, some would say.) Nature is fascinating! :-) Easy to get to by bus or car.

Conversely, at high tide during spring tides, the pond overflows and the tide reaches the parking space. At high tide we couldn't see what was inside the three-pillar torii gate in the pond, but at low tide we could see a scaly rock called Isora Ebisu. Both the three-pillar torii gate and Isora Ebisu are said to be associated with ancient Judaism. Korean nationals are prohibited from worshiping here. I personally agree with this because I think that people with bad manners should be banned from anywhere. However, even though it was a peaceful weekday, there was a mini patrol car and two police officers standing next to the shrine. I wonder what that was all about... The shrine itself was very solemn and magnificent. I put in some offerings and prayed for the safety of my family. The torii gate that leads to the sea is picturesque. (Translated by Google) I visited during the Obon period to pay my respects. I noticed a police car waiting on a nearby road and wondered what was going on, but I'll explain that later... By chance, there were few other tourists, so I was able to visit without any problems. It's a simple shrine, with explanatory signs scattered throughout. As I was strolling around the grounds, I heard angry shouts coming from in front of the shrine office. A group of Korean people were being yelled at by the priest (?). It seemed they'd mistakenly entered the entrance to Toyotamahime no Mikoto's tomb, and he was telling them, "If you've taken even one step, put your money in! Put your money in quickly!" Judging from the behavior of the group of tourists, it seemed they really didn't understand, as the instructions were only in Japanese. "Only those who understand the instructions come here! If you don't understand, don't come," they were repeatedly told. I don't think even Japanese people would recognize it at a glance. There's only a box resembling a fortune-telling slip placed next to the shrine office. Afterwards, they continued to wander around the grounds, constantly keeping an eye out for anything of interest. Seeing this, I understood why police are stationed nearby. I'd like to express my sincere thanks to the police for taking turns patrolling the area... But I'm sure the priests have also been troubled by the bad manners of tourists, which is probably why they're so annoyed. However, I'm worried that this may leave a bad impression on Japanese people. It would be great if we could all come to some kind of solution, such as not treating first-time visitors rudely, clearly indicating the way forward, hiring guide staff to be on-site, or posting large notices in foreign languages. It's difficult, isn't it?

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is a 14th-century Buddhist temple offering stunning views of the sea. It's one of the few oceanside Buddhist temples in South Korea, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The temple provides ample parking space and comfortable facilities, including toilets and outlets for visitors. Its location by the ocean adds to its charm, providing a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
It was a beautiful experience! The hike up to the Temple was not at all bad, very good exercise, plus the beautiful scenery was distracting when anything was too steep. The view from the top was so amazing. I highly recommend visiting and just taking a moment to reflect.

Beautiful place but very busy. Also alot of uneven steps and some very steep stairs so not good of you have any mobility issues. The grounds, temple and atmosphere is perfect. Great for pictures and definitely worth a visit.

Haedong Yonggungsa is the "most beautiful temple" in South Korea. At least that is what the sign says. We caught bus 1001 from Gwangan Station for the easy 48 minute ride to this seaside temple. This was one of our rare sunny days during our trip, so the temple and ocean lookrd particularly beautiful and colourful. It is very popular so there were crowds of people. Taking a photo while posing with the big gold Buddha was the touristy thing to do.

Based on your question, here is information on Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (해동 용궁사). It is a famous and beautiful Buddhist temple located in Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea. What makes it very special is its location. Unlike most Korean temples, which are built deep in the mountains, Haedong Yonggungsa is one of the few temples built right on the rocky coastline, offering stunning views of the ocean. Key Features * Seaside Location: The temple's main draw is its dramatic setting by the sea. You can hear the waves crashing as you explore the grounds. * Haesu Gwaneum Daebul (Sea Goddess Buddha): It is a sacred place that honors the Sea Goddess Buddha of Mercy, who is believed to live by the sea and ride on a dragon. * The 108 Steps: To get to the main temple area from the entrance, you must walk down a long staircase with 108 steps, which represent the 108 earthly desires in Buddhism. * Sunrise Views: It is a very popular spot to watch the sunrise, especially on New Year's Day. * Motto: The temple is known for its motto, "At least one of your wishes will be answered here through sincere prayers." Brief History * Original Temple: It was first built in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty by a monk named Naong Hyegeun. * Destruction: The original temple was destroyed by fire during the Japanese invasions in the late 1500s. * Rebuilding: It was rebuilt in the 1930s and later given its current name, which means "Palace of the Dragon King of the East Sea." It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Busan due to its unique beauty.

A stunning seaside temple with dramatic ocean views and ornate traditional architecture — a great spot for photos and watching the sunrise. The grounds are full of statues, lanterns and winding stairways, so be ready to climb a lot of steps. It’s extremely popular and can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays — go early if you want quieter time to enjoy the scenery.
Jiamiao Z — Google review
We went there on a rainy day. Very lucky, in the way, not a lot of tourists. This beautiful temple is back to a “temple-ly” mood: astonishingly tranquil. Everything looked more majestic in the rain storm. We were soaked, and stoked. It’s public transit friendly, with a easy short hike up.
Echo B — Google review
It's a beautiful temple on a picturistic location but if you are travelling with a group and tight on time you won't get to explore the place in peace. I was just running from one shrine to another. So come without being rushed and enjoy every part of the temple. Especially just sit outside this one small shrine where a monk prayers, if there aren't any chatty tourist you shall experience the sound of wind, waves and chanting. You can also offer food grains in the main temple as offering. Just sit somewhere and soak In the beauty and spirituality.

Busan’s most iconic and Korea’s most famous beach, Haeundae Beach, features a wide, clean white sand shoreline, a refreshing sea breeze, and a dazzling city skyline in perfect harmony. During the day, Haeundae is vibrant and bustling with people enjoying various marine leisure activities such as swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding. The fine sand and shallow water make it ideal for families. Evening & Night Charm: At sunset, Haeundae’s appeal reaches its peak. The lights from the Marine City skyscrapers and the night view of Gwangan Bridge reflect on the water, creating a spectacular scene. Gunam-ro Culture Square, located behind the beach, comes alive every night with busking performances and street food, offering a lively and exciting nightlife. Must-Visit Nearby Spots: Dongbaekseom Island (동백섬): Located at the western end of the beach, this island features a beautiful walking trail that circles the area. You can see the Nurimaru APEC House (a symbol of Busan), a mermaid statue, and a lighthouse. Visiting around sunset is highly recommended. The Bay 101 (더베이 101): This marina near the entrance of Dongbaekseom Island offers breathtaking views of the Marine City skyline at night. Enjoy beer and fish and chips while experiencing one of Busan’s best photo spots. Haeundae Blue Line Park (블루라인 파크): Take the Sky Capsule or Beach Train from Mipo Station to create special memories as you travel along the beautiful coastline connecting Haeundae to Songjeong.

This is the biggest and most famous beach in the Busan area. I come here every time I’m in Busan and always enjoy my time. I think it’s best to visit during sunset. Since it’s hard to catch a taxi around this area during rush hour, taking the subway to and from the beach is the best choice.
Trân — Google review
Haeundae Beach is one of those famous spots you have to see once. It’s clean, easy to access, and has a great boardwalk with cafés and restaurants nearby. But it can get kind of cloudy in the fall, which takes away some of the vibes. Still, the view of the ocean with the skyline behind it is beautiful, and there’s something nice about just walking along the sand with a coffee in hand. Go early morning or at sunset for the best experience.

Jagalchi Market is a world-renowned seafood market located on the edge of Nampo Port in Busan. It offers an abundance of fresh seafood, including live, dried, and pickled varieties. The market is famous for its multi-story building housing live fish vendors and restaurants, as well as outdoor market alleys filled with the aroma of seafood. Established after the Korean War, it is known for its high number of female fishmongers and is a must-see destination for curious travelers.
Came across this stall on level 2 and the owner could speak chinese so it was a very seamless and pleasant experience having our dinner here 🙂 Knowing that we are a little scared about ordering sashimi, she accommodated to us by allowing us to order an even smaller portion to try out 😊 The food came out to be very fresh, even for the ingredients in the stew 😌 Would highly recommend this store!! 🙂 We really enjoyed the whole experience as it could get very overwhelming for some with the amount of options available here 🥶

During our 4-day, 3-night stay in Busan, we ended up having brunch and lunch twice at this spot. Yes, it was that good! We went all out with the seafood (i.e: king crab, snow crab, live octopus, spicy raw crab, and of course, Korea’s signature delicacy; abalone - both grilled and in porridge form). We highly recommend the steamed king crab. It’s a must-try! And if you’re ordering the abalone porridge, pair it with the spicy raw crab. The flavors truly complement each other. Since we shared everything among the four of us, the cost was surprisingly affordable, and we ate like royalty.

Jagalchi Market is one of those Busan Things to Do. The seafood market on the ground floor is fun for tourists to explore and take photos of the live wiggly seafood. The upstairs contains all the food stalls and dry seafood vendors. There are about 50 food stalls and seating for thousands. It is built to cater to tourists. We were there for a late lunch/early dinner at about 4pm on a dreary October Thursday, so it was pretty empty. We were hungry and decided to to try a Jagalchi food stall. FWIW, we chose Food Stall No. 9 "Yong Gong" because the old lady seemed nice. We ordered fresh grilled eel and seafood onion pancake, plus drinks. Well, the seafood was fresh (but I always select places where the seafood is supposed to be fresh (unless it is something like a McDonald's filet-o-fish sandwich) and I am rarely disappointed. Any place that sells marginal seafood does not last long. The total price of KRW76,000 was one of our three highest priced meals during our trip. Not outrageous, but we ate at a small seafood restaurant in a back alley near Gwangalli for about the same price and that meal and dining experience was a superb 5*. If comparing the two places, I would only give Jagalchi 3*. But I got a touristy photo proving that I was there, so that counts for something.

Downstairs is the fresh market, upstairs is the restaurant. You can buy stuff downstairs and they can cook it upstairs or you can just go upstairs and order from the menu and they'll cook it all for you, which is what my mom and I did. It's easier. All the restaurants upstairs almost sells all the same things, but we opted to go to stall 41 named Chung Cheong do. Owned by an older couple very nice. They didn't pressure you to buy! Because it can get overwhelming. They just explained what the menu was and what they can do for you. We really like this place because if you order the sashimi, you get a soup with it. They'll boil the fish and the bone into the spicy soup shown in the picture. Everything was very fresh very delicious and my mom is a picky eater so she knows quality. We came back to the same place for late lunch and ordered the clams and steamed king crab!

There are some local seafood stores outaide the Jagalchi Marjet building, these are more for people to buy seafood for home cooking. The onsode of the Jagalchi market has many seafood stores and you are able to select seafood of your choice and be sent upstairs for cooking (it requires additional cooking fee). The cooking fee is standardised across all kitchen and generally the seafood shop have their recommended one (so you can't really choose which stall to kitchen to cook for you). There is a seating fee of 5000 WON per person; seafood steaming is 10000 WON, other cooking style is 20000 WON. Most seafood store owners can speak soke broken engly, communication isn't too difficult. It was a fun experience to shop around, seeing fresh seafood in a wet market. There are a great selection of local seafood that are often unheard of overseas.

I am from a coastal town so the market wasn't anything new for me, dishes that were unique to the South Korea was something to see. We were a large group and took a walk around teg market with our guide. Noticed that not all stall owners were friendly, I agree that if we are not buying why stand in front of their stall and waste time. But a few of them were darlings and explained all the dishes that can be made with them. I met a a few extremely friendly people at the market.
Mallika J — Google review
Very touristy destination but we found that prices weren't too unreasonable. The ground floor has many seafood vendors, and once you pick one you can ask for it to be cooked and served upstairs. All the vendors have pretty much the same variety of seafood, so you just need to pick your favourite in terms of prices and communication. Overall very enjoyable, just need to be aware of tourist pricing.

Good to experience Korea's biggest seafood market. Definitely straight off the sea. Alot of touting. Be sure to choose those with price tag to avoid being overcharged.

BIFF Square, located in Busan, is a vibrant area known for its first-run movie theaters, street food stalls, and handprints of famous Korean actors. This district has been revitalized to support the growth of Korea's film industry. At night, the square comes alive with numerous street food tents offering popular Korean snacks like tteokbokki and dakkochi. Additionally, it is conveniently situated near various markets and shopping outlets.
It's a buzzing night markets full of street foods, and also a shopping street, with variety of brands and shops. Had the famous hotteok here, and it didn't disappoint, loved it so much! And the street foods look appealing and of course we have tried a few different types of food, chicken skewer, dumplings, fishcakes, tteokbokki etc. it was satisfying.

Interesting place to walk around in Busan. As a traveler I have been many places and the venders here are not too pushy, therefore you feel comfortable and safe. Boy do they have a lot of stuff!!! Don't bother with the jello ball, it was so weird!!! It's like jello covered in peanut butter powder or something, just a scam. The pastry fried and filled with seeds and honey, now that was good!! You can get it with cheese and honey or just honey. Very worth it, very cheap. We also tried the dumplings, very good.

Yongdusan Park, located in downtown Busan, is a sprawling mountain park spanning 69,000 square meters. The park boasts over 70 species of trees and is adorned with various stone statues depicting Korean heroes. One of its main attractions is the iconic Busan Tower, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Visitors can explore galleries and souvenir shops inside the tower or leave a love lock as a romantic gesture.
It’s incredible that the entrance of this park is right in the middle of the street. 2/4 escalators didn’t work so there were quite some stairs to climb. The park is very clean, there are swing benches and even on the way there is an outdoor “gym”. At the top, you can find Busan tower.
Priyanka R — Google review
The park is quite clean and not many people were there. Escalator was functioning going up the hill where the Busan tower is. Quite high. I think it’s like 5-6 times of the escalator size in the photo. With the escalator, the journey going up wasn’t bad and took less than 10mins. Going down is just via stairs and quite fast. Lovely place up there. Took a break on the swing enjoying the humid weather and spent a little while taking photos. Once you’re up on the hill, there’s like small colourful shops selling souveniors etc. Some were closed when we were there. Spent like about half and hour or so. Great view and it was okay if you have extra time to spend in Busan.

Yongdusan Park is a lovely spot to relax in Busan. It’s peaceful with nice walking paths and great views. You can also visit the Busan Tower nearby. A great place for a quiet break!
Florian D — Google review
It is a park consisting of a small hill that passes through the entrance of the old American Cultural Center and passes through the Central Cathedral. Nearby are Daecheong-dong, Nampo-dong, Gwangbok-dong, Bupyeong-dong, Jagalchi and International Market. The Yongdusan Tower, which was completed when I was in middle school, was a landmark of Busan at the time, but now it can be said to be a place of memories. There is an escalator leading to Nampo-dong, making it convenient for the elderly to visit.

We visited the park quite late at night but it still feels safe. It's very easy to get there as it offers eskalators to go up

Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon Culture Village is a vibrant and picturesque attraction in Busan, South Korea. The village features colorful houses, painted murals, shops, and cafes. Nestled along the slopes of a seaside mountain, this village stands out amidst the modern skyscrapers of Busan. Originally inhabited by refugees during the Korean War, it remained underdeveloped until its revitalization in 2009.
Definitely a place worth visiting in person, the photos online really don’t do it justice! The walk up has a few uphill climbs, but it’s honestly not too bad, and every bit of effort is rewarded once you reach the top. The view of the village is absolutely stunning, peaceful, colorful, and full of charm. You can really take your time exploring the little alleys, enjoy the fresh air, and soak in the atmosphere. It’s one of those spots that feels even better in real life than it looks in pictures. A great place to relax, take photos, and just enjoy the scenery.

Such a colorful and artistic place to explore! 🎨 The whole village feels like a giant open-air gallery with amazing murals, cute cafés, and lovely spots for photos. The view from the top is breathtaking, especially under the clear blue sky. Sitting on the yellow moon with The Little Prince statue was such a fun moment! 🌙 Definitely a must-visit when in Busan — full of charm, creativity, and great memories. 💛

What an amazing village. Originally a settlement for Korean War refugees, it has been transformed into a vibrant arts and culture area with cafés, workshops. Locals also still lives there. You can get lost for hours admiring all pieces of arts and colours. It is quite busy but it's totally worth it Map is recommended if you want to get to specific highlights

A real tourist attraction not to be missed including all the shops you get as you walk along the paths. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare your knees for the up and down and over and back up again. Still loved it. I came on a day tour so consider those tours for Busan

Gamcheon Culture Village is so spectacular and an absolute must see. We weren't aware of the opening time of the shops so arrived reasonably early in the morning. This however turned out to be excellent for us as the village was quiet. We met lots of friendly locals out exercising and had access to the prominent photo spots for ourselves. At one stage we sat outside the sports building, located at the top back of the village. From the top of the building, there is a viewing platform. It was not meant to open until 9am however the extremely kind staff in the building let us in and gave us a personalised escort to the roof. We had access to the whole area ourselves! The village is free to visit and is open all the time. The shops and eateries however don't open until 9am. By the time we finished taking in the views, the shops and other tourists began to arrive. This gave us a good chance to shop for souvenirs and take in more of the atmosphere. To me the village is an absolute must see!

Absolutely worth visit! Lots of super cute cafes, Lookouts, Photos spots and souvenir shops. I would allow at least a couple of hours to really take your time and explore, and go either very early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds. Easy enough to get a taxi in and out.
Erin O — Google review
This place is absolutely gorgeous even though it is very busy with tourists. There are cars driving up the path (which pedestrians share with vehicles). There are a lot of incline steps or slopes. Any photo spots are just full of people with the worst waiting line spot being the little prince amd fox looking out (that was 20+ mon waiting time, a security staff will manage the queue). There are plenty of souvenir shops and cafes.
Alice — Google review
I went here on a beautiful sunny day on my first day in Busan. The views were amazing, the sun was there but the wind felt cool. I stopped by this handmade souvenir shop and bought this cute little lobster keychain and the woman who ran the store gave me a four leaf clover charm as a gift. Gamcheon has been so lovely and I hope I can see it again someday.

Beomeosa Temple, located on the edge of Mt. Geumjeongsan, is a significant historical site in South Korea. Founded in 678 A.D. by master priest UiSang during the Silla dynasty, it has been rebuilt over the centuries and remains a pilgrimage site and Buddhist learning center offering temple stays. The temple is popular among worshipers, tourists, and hikers due to its scenic location and as a starting point for hiking trails around Mt.
Close to Busan - booked the experience Temple Stay and would recommend. Good food with services led by a monk with fluent English, plus a great tour guide of the temple included.

Highly recommend visiting this 1,300-year-old ancient temple. It’s beautifully maintained and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Perfect place to unwind and take in the history.
Min S — Google review
The architecture is stunning: intricate woodwork, bright dancheong patterns, and centuries-old pagodas that somehow feel both grand and humble. Even with other visitors around, it never loses that sense of serenity. The views are also incredible. The temple sits high enough that you can see the forested hills rolling out below, especially if you take a short hike up behind the complex. It’s the perfect balance of culture and nature. Whether you’re into history, photography, or just looking for a peaceful place to recharge, Beomeosa Temple is a must-see in Busan. It’s not just a visit - it’s an experience that stays with you.

Amazing temple on the top of a mountain near Busan city center. You can take a bus that leaves you at the door. Many buildings conform this temple that for sure will enjoy wandering around in the middle of nature. Highly recommended visit at anytime

Quite a big temple complex with multiple buildings (ci 10). Partially closed when people are meditating, but almost everything is accessible. There is also a nice little garden at the foot of the complex with memorial animals / plaques. Can easily spend 1-1.5 hours here. Little tourist shop sell statues and arm braces and such. I combined this with visit to seokbulsa temple, which in my view is much more impressive.

Absolutely stunning park with nature enveloping every corner and captivating viewpoints. The Hanging Bridge and Sea Bridge stand out as the park's highlights, adding an extra layer of beauty. The cleanliness and excellent maintenance, coupled with the unbelievable free entry, make it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and casual hikers. Ulsan's gem of nature indeed!

The entire city is awash with the beauty of these cherry blossoms, creating a romantic ambiance in the air. Despite its popularity amongst tourists, the weekend can be quite busy.
Visited 2 April 2025. Just as beautiful as when I visited the first time in 2019. Lovely long stream with cherry blossoms canopy and decorations. This time, we had time to eat from the stalls set up for the festival.

At around 3pm on 25 March, 2025, our party of 12 people came. We didn’t see any cherry blossoms. What we saw was one of our members helping an elderly with her cart crossing a bridge where we posed for a group photo, it was so heartwarming.

Absolutely worth visiting in Jinhae at any time during the cherry blossom season (and quite honestly there’s no much in the area for food, cafes and bars/karaoke at any time of the year). We decided to stay in Jinhae to have more flexibility and peace about visiting the stream and the whole suburb is covered in cherry blossom trees! There were more people around during the day on tours, but the lights reflect off the flowers and stream’s water at night, so really night is a completely new experience alongside the street food and stalls. It’s day 1 of the festival today and we will be back for the flowers in full blossom one day. We loved it here!

I visited during the cherry blossom festival this year with a tour group and I would highly recommend the tour for this because I primarily travel with the the subway and this allowed me to take their bus to this location and back to Busan. It was also a good mix of guided / planned time and wandering around to investigate whatever peaked my interest. I travel solo and the rest of the tour group provided social interaction for a day which I enjoyed. I booked it on the Klook site and the name of it was "Jinhae Pink Cherry Blossom Festival Tour from SEOUL / BUSAN". There was plenty to do at this destination, snacks, photo ops, drinks, and local restaurants.

The Most Beautiful Place on Earth – Yeojwacheon Cherry Blossom Festival in Jinhae I had the absolute privilege of visiting Yeojwacheon during Jinhae’s cherry blossom season, and I can say without exaggeration—it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The entire stream was lined with endless rows of cherry blossoms, their petals dancing in the breeze like pink snow. The sight was breathtaking, something out of a dream or a movie scene. It’s no wonder people from all over the world found their way here. What amazed me the most was not just the scenery, but how international the atmosphere felt. I overheard languages from all over—English, Chinese, Japanese, French. It made me wonder: how did people from so many different countries hear about this hidden gem in Korea? It’s a testament to just how globally beloved the Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival has become. The crowds were large, yet everyone seemed to be in a peaceful and joyful mood, taking in the natural beauty with wide eyes and camera phones constantly snapping. What’s even more remarkable is that it wasn’t just Yeojwacheon that was celebrating—the entire district of Jinhae felt like a massive, vibrant festival. Every street was decorated, food stalls were everywhere, local music filled the air, and people wore smiles that reflected the joy of spring. It felt like the whole city had come alive to celebrate the arrival of cherry blossoms. I’ve traveled to many places, but Jinhae during cherry blossom season is something else entirely. It’s not just a place to take pretty photos—it’s a place to feel wonder, to share beauty with strangers, and to be reminded of how magical nature can be. I can’t recommend it enough. If you ever get the chance, this is an experience you don’t want to miss.

Worth the travel and anticipation, everything was truly magical! 🌸🌸🌸 The Cherry Blossom Festival was an enchanting experience that beautifully captured the essence of spring. The trees were in full bloom, creating a breathtaking canopy of pink and white petals that seemed to stretch endlessly across the park. The atmosphere was vibrant yet peaceful,l everyone was coming together to celebrate the fleeting beauty of the blossoms. The sense of both locals and tourists were astounding. Everyone was in high spirits, sharing smiles and conversations with strangers, all united by the beauty of the blossoms. The festival did get quite crowded, especially in the afternoon, making it difficult to find a good spot for viewing the trees or participating in some of the activities. Arriving early is definitely recommended to fully enjoy the experience.

To anyone looking for a place to enjoy, relax and feel the spring vibe (especially for people living in a tropical country like me where there is only hot, hotter, and hottest type of weather), this river is the right one for you. We went there during the full bloom season of cherry blossoms and my experience is priceless. It was raining in the evening upon our arrival but it only added to the mood that I was feeling - excited. The river is a long one so make sure to see all the stops there and the food stalls around it sells tasty and affordable korean dishes. There are various coffee shops available too for any coffee lover out there so you won't have to worry about that. Make sure to come and visit this river of you happen to be in Jinhae and let me know what you felt.

Also there are places to sit down and have a picnic with the family on the weekend. There are some stalls located at the entrance of the park. And on the other side of the lake. Great places for photos. There's a windmill there. Also if you keep walking through the park there's a very good war memorial with some old military aircraft and tanks. Taehwagang Bamboo Forest, located in Ulsan City, South Korea, is a serene natural retreat celebrated for its enchanting bamboo groves. The 843-acre park offers a diverse landscape with open meadows, wooded areas, lakes, and gardens. Visitors can get lost in the maze of tall bamboo and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere created by the rustling leaves. It's a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful oasis away from the urban bustle.
Great place to spend 2-3h at the taehwagang park. There are lots of flowers and plants to view and take photos. Bamboo forest is pretty empty without much crowd unlike arashiyama in Japan. Truly a hidden find

Visit after dark! Millions of LED lights are projected up into the canopy, like fireflies. It’s an amazing experience.

The Taehwagang Bamboo Forest (태화강 십리 대숲) is part of the Taehwagang National Garden and free to enter. It’s not very large but is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful walk among the tall bamboo. A nice spot to relax while exploring the park.

I would like to review the Tarhwagang Bamboo forest Park in Ulsan City, which is an iconic and beautiful park located in the heart of Ulsan. This 843-acre park is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering a peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling city. One of the most striking features of Bamboo Forest Park is its diverse landscape, which includes open meadows, wooded areas, lakes, and gardens. Visitors can stroll along the winding paths, or have a picnic on the grass patch. The park is also home to many historic landmark which provide great photo opportunities. In addition to its natural beauty, Bamboo Forest Park offers a wide variety of recreational activities, such as trekking, camping, picnic and flying kite. There are also numerous playgrounds and a carousel for children to enjoy. The park is well-maintained and clean, with plenty of benches and seating areas for visitors to rest and take in the views. It is also very accessible, with multiple entrances and many public transportation options nearby. Overall, Bamboo Forest Park is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Ulsan City. Its stunning natural beauty, diverse landscape, and wide range of recreational activities make it a truly unique and unforgettable experience. A very big park that is good for work out and also family gathering. There are a lot of young adult camping and also eating ramen. Haha. The flower bed created by the Govt is beautiful and a lot of local resident is admiring the flower in the park. The red flower bed is a total Lastly is the main highlight which is the bamboo forest. Give u a vibes that u are totally out of the city area and return back to the nature. A must go location if you are here. Do not miss it.

It’s the first time for me to see this large bamboo groves. Local people like to walk on the path with bared feet. I was irresistibly drawn by the fragrance from the nearby chrysanthemum garden. There’re also some other beautiful places in surrounding area.

Peaceful quiet Buddhist temple where you can take a leisurely stroll around. There's some cafes here that sells snacks and drinks. Sometimes they have night markets too.

A beautiful Unesco world heritage destination. The temple itself is quite large and I was lucky enough to hear a prayer during my time there. The walking path to the temple (if you don't have a car) is about 1.2km and is a very easy walk along the river. There were quite a few people when I went but other than that it was a good time. Entrance fee for adults is 3,000 won

History is a virtue and should never be forgotten. 457 years of history lies at this very place. It is the second largest Buddhist temple shrine in South Korea. This place feels very holy and rich with culture and is visibly shown in the architecture. Please visit this site when you are in Korea.

(Translated by Google) The exact place I went to was Rainbow Hotel,, The entire area is filled with the same facilities. It's the same atmosphere wherever you go. Perhaps because it was vacation, the kids room was almost booked even though it was a weekday. I had no choice but to use a slightly oversized room. The price is a bit high compared to the facilities, but if you have a large family, It's a size and satisfaction that I think I'll use again. There are three large beds on the first floor and a large bed on the upper floor, so children can have fun, and the family bath is the size of a local public bathhouse. It's half the size. It's really big. Next time, I'll take my parents with me. The bathtub is so big that I want to bring my younger brother's family. Haha. It's just a local motel facility with a large public bath and a hot spring!!! Cooking is not possible, but there are many restaurants nearby. There are places to eat jjamppong, so I had a hot and enjoyable time. (Translated by Google) Clear, clean, 70 degree Celsius hot spring water The facilities are similar to that of a local bathhouse, but if you look carefully, you can find many neat places. Bathing fees are usually 5,000 won, but you can sometimes find 4,000 won bath fees. The hotel bathroom is a bit expensive at 5,000 won. It's quiet in the summer and a bit crowded in the winter.

(Translated by Google) The water was very clean, which was nice, but the public bathhouse was small because the family bathhouse was the main business, and there was no sauna in the bathhouse. The price of the bath was cheap, but it was great to take a bath in the hot spring water. (Original) 물 너무 깨끗해서 좋았으나 가족탕이 메인 사업인지 대중탕 크기가 작고, 탕내 사우나는 없었음. 목욕값이 저렴한데 온천물로 목욕하니 너무 좋았음

Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok

Historic Sites
Seondeogyeowangneung Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok, from the Silla dynasty, is a serene and peaceful site that offers a quiet break from the bustling tourist spots. The tomb is somewhat hidden off the main road and may appear as a park path at first glance. After parking in an open area, visitors can take a short walk through a forest to reach the tomb. The surrounding farmland and elevated single lane track add to its tranquil atmosphere.
The walk to the Tomb was really beautiful.
Johannes E — Google review
Ok, this is Queen Seondok of the Silla dynasty's tomb. It is easy to miss, the road in off the main road is deceptive and looks more like a park path! After you turn in on this single lane road, you'd come to an open area for parking. Park and walk, although you can drive in further, but between farmland on an elevated single lane track. if you come through the other side of the tomb, you'd have fun driving through a really small village with even narrower lanes and you'd definitely scratch something unless you have a Kei-class vehicle!
