Charlotte Lake & Lord’s View Point are next to each other. It’s known for the pretty sunsets, there are small stores close by that sell snacks and tea. It’s a small hike for 15min from the main path. It is super safe both at day and night to walk through the forest. I would recommend this place if you’re at Matheran for visit.

It's a must-visit if you're heading to this beautiful hill station. This serene spot lets you sit quietly by the lake, absorb the tranquility, and truly feel connected to nature. To reach the lake, you'll need to trek a bit through the forest — a refreshing and adventurous experience. While horse rides are also available, the walk through the woods is something you shouldn’t miss. ⚠️ A word of caution: During the monsoon, the path can get slippery, and accidents have happened in the past — so please be careful if you’re visiting during the rains.

This lake is a good place to visit in Matheran. The walkway to the lake is quite scenic. The lake is artificial and small but there is a nice view of landscape on the other side.

This is a unique point in Matheran as it offers two different picturesque views. From one point, you can see the sky touching the mountains and a civilisation located far in a valley. If you visit during monsoon, you'll also be captivated by waterfalls. Another view is of Lake Charlotte that looks like a diamond necklace when seen from here. Louisa Point also offers a clear view of Prabal Fort. All these different views are intriguing and one can spend hours gazing at them. We sat there, soaked in the beauty of the place and relishing moments of silence. This place is known as a photographer's paradise in Matheran because it offers panoramic views of mountains, peaks, valleys, lake and waterfalls. In most of the travel portals, blogs and magazines, Matheran has been represented by using Louisa Point's pictures. During the peak season, photo points are a little crowded and sometimes you need to be patient for your view to be ‘people free’, but all your waiting time is worth those beautiful, dreamy and wallpaper pictures. Some people also stay at Louisa Point to watch the sunset.

Very beautiful view point in Matheran. Huge open space for you to sit, relax, spend some time with yourself or family/ friends, absorb the atmosphere (take tons of pictures if you wish to!). On one side you have the beautiful landscape of hills and plateau and on the other side you have a beautiful waterfall! There’s a long fence on the right, however there is a point where the fence is broken and one can just hop over and walk to the edge of the ledge for an adrenaline rush (although not advisable)!

Growing up in Bombay- I frequented this place and it's got a special place in my heart- not to mention we share a birthday. This is an iconic structure that has not changed. Now visiting it as a tourist from overseas, it still captires the charm and innocence as I see families, children and young couples take selfies, chaiwallahs selling hot sweet tea and instant photographers offering the ultimate background of the Taj hotel or the gateway. Do partake of the boat ride- the diesel run bimoy ride will take out out a kilometre and back a hundred years. And the pigeons- every Victorian building attracts pigeons. Best tiem to visit is at sunrise when the city is still asleep.

The area is lively yet not overwhelming — people are enjoying the view, clicking photos, or simply soaking in the atmosphere. Right across from the Gateway stands the famous Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, which adds to the charm of the place. The view of this grand hotel alongside the Gateway is picture-perfect, especially as the sun starts to set and the lights slowly illuminate the surroundings. Everything about my visit felt just right — the clean promenade, the vibrant energy of visitors, and the rich history all around. It’s a spot where you can pause, reflect, and truly appreciate the beauty and spirit of Mumbai. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city for the first time.

The security was very tight and the weather in the evening was so nice although it was a bit crowded but still enjoying due to high tide elephanta caves were closed and we were not able to visit it but should must visit this place

Really one of the best places i have been to in Mumbai. This looks like really time travel experience. This building is soo beautifully done and looks really you are standing in history. Also good work my Mumbai people and the CST workers for keeping is clean and well maintaining it.

The public toilet has air conditioning. The station sees most crowd than any railway station in entire mumbai and the closest competition is Churchgate station.

It's a spacious mandir of Lord Krishna. The place also has accomodation for brahmacharis. Lot of activities go on here like classes on various subjects for those who are spiritually inclined. . We had nice prasadam that was khichdi and veggies. All quality food.

I visited in the morning, and the serene atmosphere with fewer crowds made it a calm and relaxing experience. However, note that the slides and rides are not operational in the morning; they open in the evening, making it the ideal time to enjoy these attractions. The entry fee is an affordable ₹50 per person, though additional charges apply for each ride. The park's main highlight is the well-crafted replicas of the Seven Wonders, offering excellent photo opportunities. Spacious and lush with greenery, the park also features attractions like a toy train, an amphitheater, and numerous rides.

I recently visited Wonder Park in Navi Mumbai and would say it is an average place overall. The park has some greenery and a few attractions mainly for children, like swings and a small toy train. However, apart from these, there isn’t much that makes it stand out. When I visited, most of the rides were closed due to rain, which was a bit disappointing and made the visit less enjoyable. This park can be considered for a one-time visit, especially if you are going with kids just for their time-pass. Children may enjoy the small rides and open space. But if you are looking for mental peace, relaxation, or a unique experience, you may not find it here. The overall maintenance and attractions could definitely be improved to make the park more appealing.

We visited this park in October end for the first time and instantly loved it. It is perfect for kids with different amusement rides and a toy train ride. Only 1 ride has an age limit of 16 years upwards, the toy train is open to all ages and the others are between 4 and 16 only. The park also has a Fountain Light show in the late evening, which you can enjoy from an amphitheater. The area is huge and there is enough for kids to enjoy. The park has miniatures of the Wonders of the World spread across the park.

Visited Wonders Park last weekend with my family and overall, it was a fun and relaxing outing! The highlight is definitely the replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World—really well-made and great for photos. The park is huge, green, and surprisingly well maintained for the ticket price. toy train ride gives a nice tour of the park. There are other rides too like bumper cars and a small Ferris wheel—good for kids but not high-thrill. There’s a jogging track, big chess board, and plenty of space to walk around or just sit and enjoy. The evening musical fountain show was a nice bonus! Simple but charming. One small downside: it gets crowded after 5 PM and the food stalls were a bit slow. So I'd recommend visiting in the early evening on a weekday if you want a peaceful time. Great for: families, kids, couples, morning walks Could improve: staff availability at food stalls and ride queues on weekends

DY Patil Stadium is one of the best venues in India — spacious, and very well maintained. The view from almost every seat is great, and the sound system during matches or concerts is top-notch. The crowd energy here is unbeatable! A must-visit for cricket fans, and the vibe during live events is absolutely electric

I recently visited DY Patil Stadium to watch the India vs Australia Women’s semifinal, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was electric, and the crowd’s energy made the match even more exciting. The stadium is well-maintained, seating arrangements are comfortable, and the view from almost every section is great. The facilities were clean, and the staff were quite helpful in guiding people to their seats. The only area that could improve is the food queue management during breaks, but overall, it was a memorable day watching top-quality cricket in such a fantastic venue.

An amazing experience at DY Patil Stadium! Went here for the Women’s Cricket Worldcup Finals and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. The stadium is huge, well-maintained, and the view from every stand is fantastic. The crowd energy made the match even more special! The facilities were clean, security and entry were well managed, and the sound system was great. A perfect place to enjoy live sports, can’t wait to visit again for the next match!

Watching the India Women vs Australia Women semifinal at DY Patil Stadium was an electrifying experience, offering both high-level cricket and a pulsating stadium atmosphere. DY Patil’s amenities stood out for their cleanliness and accessibility. Restrooms were regularly maintained even during peak crowd times, and food stalls offered a range of snacks—from classic stadium fare like popcorn and samosas to more elaborate options like wraps and biryani. Quick service ensured minimal time away from the live action. Security was efficient, with smooth entry and exit processes.

It was a great experience watching the match at this stadium! The atmosphere and crowd energy were amazing. However, food and soft drinks are quite expensive inside. Also, they don’t allow bags, coins in pockets, or even flag sticks — not even cardboard or paper ones — so plan accordingly. If you get seats in F or G Block, there’s a good chance you’ll appear on live TV during the match!

The stadium is located in Nerul. Easily accessible by road as next to puna highway. Nearest to Sanpada or nerul station. Have nice seating areas 360 view and airy. Washrooms are available only at base. Had opportunity to watch many shows and matches..nearby by hotels and motels available. The highlight for me was the ₹20 laddu prasad (2 pieces) – fresh, soft, and simply delicious, I’d rate it a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5). The temple management has also thoughtfully provided ample chappal stands both outside and after the metal detector gate, making it very convenient. The visit leaves you feeling blessed. .

It is built over Mahim Bay. It is the second longest sea bridge after Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (commonly known as Atal Setu). It is an engineering marvel made to save hours of transit time to lacs of commuters daily. Stopping on the bridge is not allowed, no pictures to be taken by halting on the bridge, Great views of the city and the sea while moving over it.

The toll booth is one hundred buck for one way, and the return in the same day is charged 50 rs.

The Govt of Maharashtra provides good parking spaces and beautify water sources and waterfall areas so visitors can enjoy maximum. Hot Maggi, tea, and corn will add cherry on the ice.

This place should be on must visit list in monsoon if you are exploring western ghats. Going here is easy, as for most of the part road conditions are very good. You can come by car, 2 wheeler etc. In ghat section roads are narrow so expect some traffic during monsoon season. Also there is possibility of land slide etc. There are multiple waterfall points in the ghat area where government has build staircase , protective structures to access it easily. Make sure while you park your vehicle, you are not blocking on going traffic. I have seen people doing it. Be a responsible citizen. Same thing go for plastic and other garbage. In monsoon and winter expect lot of foggy weather which limits visibility so be careful. Most of the people I see go till ghat and return if they are coming from pune-nashik highway. I would highly recommend to go down till ghat ends, you will see amazing views.

The mall is big and has a great variety of brands, making it a nice place to visit and have fun. However, cleanliness is a major issue—cockroaches can be seen everywhere, even in the food court. There are no proper dustbins for waste disposal, and the washrooms are extremely dirty. No hand wash was provided, the flush wasn’t working, and the smell was unbearable. While the shopping experience is good, the management seriously needs to improve hygiene and maintenance.

Visited: November 2024 I'm an explorer who loves to visit historical and archaeological places, and Kanheri Caves was a real treat! Took a train to Borivali and then a shared auto for ₹25 to reach Sanjay Gandhi National Park. From there, I took the ₹20 shuttle bus that takes you straight to the caves. It’s amazing how such a peaceful and serene spot exists in the middle of Mumbai! The caves are well-maintained, and the history here is incredible. I was astonished by the big standing Buddha statue—it’s both impressive and calming. The ancient water management system carved into the stone is fascinating—stone channels and cisterns designed to collect and guide rainwater. It’s amazing how advanced the architecture was for its time. The ancient monk cells were another highlight—small, carved-out rooms where monks once lived and meditated. Walking through them, you really feel the quiet, spiritual atmosphere of the place. It’s like stepping back into a different time. I spent about 3 hours exploring every cave—be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs. Carry plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, and take your time to appreciate the surroundings. There are plenty of shaded spots to rest, which definitely helps. A big thanks to the security guards—one of them saved me from an aggressive monkey and handed me his stick for protection. Beware of monkeys if you’re carrying food—they’re quick! Tip: Go early to avoid the heat, keep your food sealed, and enjoy the peaceful vibe of this historical escape. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place to visit. From entrance you have to take government bus which is chargeable to reach the cave. A full day is required to understand each and every cave in detail. The security guards help us voluntarily in explaining the sculptures. Restroom and refreshment is available at the location.

There are buggy's also which take u to safari ticket counter not to kanheri so make your decision wisely.Ticket- ₹50 per person one way. And the visiting ticket to kanheri cave-₹25 /person. Total 109 caves worth seeing marvellous views especially in monsoon season. Then comes Lion safari- 2 km from main entrance,Ticket -₹ 136 per person. Bus will take you around for safari in which you will see lions,lioness,tigers and yes with full precautions. Museums can also be your choice but the adventure doing things I have already mentioned. To my view go to kanheri caves first as it is 7km away from main entrance and then enjoy the other things. I also rented a cycle and explored the park a bit deeper — totally worth it if you enjoy riding through nature. One of the highlights for me was the Kanheri Caves. Climbing up to the caves, with all the ancient carvings and the view of the forest from the top, felt like stepping into history. It’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring. What I love most about the park is how it balances natural beauty with easy access. Whether you're into trekking, cycling, photography, or just sitting quietly among trees, this place has something for everyone. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to nature. Highly recommend spending a few hours here — especially if you live in Mumbai and just need to breathe.

Upgraded the national park significantly. Last time I visited vehicles were allowed inside, but now none are allowed and the experience is much better with free roads to walk on, and less noise, pollution and more closer to nature Rental Cycles The shop is right after the gate, on the right hand side. The rental starts at 8am in the morning and is rented out pretty quickly. I went on Sunday and the rental cycles were rented out by 8:30am. The cost is very cheap (80 rs for 2 hours, and then 20 rs per 30 mins) as compared to rental outside the national park (300 for 4 hours minimum, and then 60-100 per hour) You also need to pay a higher ticket price if you bring outside cycles

I truly loved the place and admired its beautiful architecture. The surroundings are aesthetically pleasing and spiritually significant. However, what deeply disappointed me was the complete lack of peace. Visitors were speaking loudly, some were playing music, and others were busy making reels—completely disregarding the sanctity of the place. It was chaotic and disrespectful. Peace Pagodas are meant for meditation, reflection, and inner calm—a truly beautiful concept. Unfortunately, the atmosphere here felt more like a social circus than a spiritual retreat. The management seriously needs to step up and enforce some basic rules of silence and decorum. They could take inspiration from the Peace Pagoda in Nepal, where the environment is far more serene and respectfully maintained.

The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a beautifully maintained spiritual landmark near Gorai, Mumbai, admired for its peaceful ambience and grand architecture. It can be reached conveniently by ferry from the Borivali side (Gorai Khadi) or by road through Mira Bhayandar–Uttan. Entry is free, and ample parking is available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. A café inside serves delicious quick bites at reasonable rates, ideal for a short refreshment break. Visitors are encouraged to maintain cleanliness and decorum within the premises. All the water slides were functional and well-maintained, which added to the fun. If you're driving, note that parking is available about 10 minutes away from the park and costs ₹150 for a four-wheeler. However, there's a convenient free shuttle bus service from the parking area to the entrance. Alternatively, if you're coming from Borivali, you can take the dedicated Water Kingdom ferry boats. For those riding two-wheelers, you can use the Gorai ferry service, which accommodates bikes. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, perfect for a relaxed family outing without the weekend rush.

It is one of the best amusement park of India. The place contains the ride for children as well as for adults. One can spend a whole day here and have fun. The entry price is also fine but it doesn’t include all the rides, for some rides you will be charged at their respective counters. They have a theatre as well in the park. Their are two sections of the park one is the amusement and the other one is water. We visited this beautiful lake in june for fireflies festival. It is surrounded by mountains and it is a beautiful sight to behold in monsoons. One can also go for a boat ride in this lake or swim as the water is clear. But ensure to wear life jackets as it is deep after certain point.

We had been Kala Ram mandir just before Diwali and I feel that’s the best time to have darshan because there is no crowd or rush! Pleasant and peaceful darshan! Went for a weekend ride from Mumbai. To have a blessings from him. This place holds a divine energy. It was a surreal feeling when you see him with your own eyes. I went on Sunday so I was waiting for 4 hrs in queue. Although, there is a special pass entry available to save your time and have a quick darshan. The place and market area seems to be always busy. Overall best experience. Recommended to everyone to feel the energy. Also this place is located in a hilly area surrounded by greenery, dam & mountains from all over the side. So riding till this place through the mountains, forests and passing by small beautiful village makes your journey most scenic and beautiful. Definately enjoyed the climate. Accomodations are available from reasonable to luxury rates as it is one of the Jyotirlinga. One of the best getaway place to take a break from city life and feel the slow living life of villages.

I waited for almost 5 hours for darshan, but when I finally saw Lord Shiva’s Jyotirlinga, all the tiredness disappeared. It was such a powerful and emotional moment that I will never forget in my life. The sound of “Har Har Mahadev” everywhere fills your heart with peace. People are very calm and respectful inside the temple. The priests guide nicely, and everything is well managed. Behind the temple, there is a small river, and the view there is just amazing. The water is so clear and peaceful. You can feed the fish, and when you sit near the river, your mind becomes completely calm. The mountains around the place make it even more beautiful. It is truly a place where you can feel peace, faith, and positivity together. A must-visit place for everyone who believes in God and inner peace. 🙏 Har Har Mahadev! 🙏

Beautiful temple ❤️ You can surely get goosebumps while visiting this place. The temple is surrounded with large mountains called bramhagiri. The temple has both free and paid darshans. If you have patience and if you think you can wait for more than 4-5 hours you can choose free dharshan this is on weekend. Otherwise you can choose 200 special dharshan. In 200 ticket you can go little faster as the Q line is less compared to free dharshan But once you enter into the temple everyone as same dharshan access and entrance. So, it's depends on people to take the 200 ticket dharshan. Once you enter into the temple you need to be more focused and concentrated while visiting the lord jyotirlinga as the lingam is deep inside. They arranged mirror in reflection form so that you can look at the top. But try to watch directly. While the lake is peaceful on most days, it can get crowded during weekends and holidays, so planning your visit accordingly is a good idea. Whether you’re boating, strolling along the shore, or simply sitting and enjoying the view, the calmness of the place is best enjoyed when it’s less busy. One of the most enchanting aspects of Saputara Lake is its night view. The shimmering reflections of lights on the water, combined with the cool evening air, make it a must-see after sunset. Saputara Lake is naturally beautiful, but the overall experience wasn’t enjoyable. The place was very crowded, and it felt like there was hardly any space to relax or take in the view peacefully. On top of that, almost everything around the lake was costly—food stalls, boating tickets, even basic things like parking. The crowd and high prices really took away from the charm of the lake. It could be a nice spot if managed better, but right now it feels more commercial than relaxing.

Nice place to hang out. There are too many nearby places to visit. Also number of sports activities are also available. You need at least 2-3 days to explore and enjoy at saputara.

Pleasant view but boating experience was not good for solo person. But with a family of 4 or 6 will get a good condition paddle boat to enjoy the ride in Lake. Activities near Lake are good and variety of food options available.

A great place to spend time experiencing the mesmerizing view of sunset. The people from different places, the chaat and food, the view, it's an amazing combination. Just a small hurdle is to get your car on top of there at the parking spot. Reach there before 5:30-6:00 pm is all I should suggest.

Saputara is a great place to visit. Saputara has places worth visiting like Tadav, Ropeway, Sunset Point, Sunrise Point, Ganesh Temple, Shiva Temple, Jain Temple, etc. It is also a place where adults and young children can have fun.

As the name suggests, it is point to witness the beautiful moment of sun setting down. The shades of different colours appearing on the sky is mesmerizing. Also the aerial view of lake and the town visible from this point is awesome. There are two ways to reach the sunset point, one is through ropeway (which starts from Table point) and other one is by climbing up on the hill. It is almost close to 1 km strenuous climb, the vehicles are not allowed except for the bikes which are provided by the locals on chargeable basis (they charge Rs 100 one way). There are few stalls where water and food are available. For children, there are few recreational stuff such as RC cars, horse rides, etc. There is no entry charge if one decides to climb up while travel through ropeway is chargeable. It is located on height and we can only go by a walk by hiking on the hill. It will take some time. The view is amazing from there.

Sunset Point also known as governor hill, is the highest point in Saputara. It comes under Dang Forest in the Aravallis. Basically a table top area at the top, offer a spectacular view. You will find a lots of fun activity like beautiful flower double seat bicycle, bike riding, horse riding, camel ride etc. Also available Ropeway Facility. The paragliding facility here and experience offers a scenic view of the landscapes around and is a perfect adventure activity for adrenaline-junkies. Enthusiasts are provided with a proper briefing session preparing them with the required skills and confidence for this amazing adventure! Beautiful valley and sky filled with colorful hue in the evening. It was awesome place to hangout with family and friends. Sufficient car parking is available.
