A beautiful temple located on world's smallest inhabited river island on the Brahmaputra River. You need to travel by a private ferry that takes 10 mins to travel from Umananda Ghat to Umananda Temple. You need to climb 50-60 steps. A must visit temple during your Guwahati visit.

Nongriat Trek is a hard trek route due to its steep descents and ascents (mostly steps). It has 3 points. Double decker living root bridge. Then Blue Lagoon. Then Rainbow falls. There are 3500 steps (all descending) one way upto double decker bridge ; another 1hr to Blue Lagoon (atleast half of it don't have much elevation change). We didn't go further to rainbow falls , but it is said this will take another 2hrs one way (all ascending). We started trek (till 2nd point Blue Lagoon) before 7am, and ended it after 3pm - including almost 1.5hr spent at Blue Lagoon and 2 meals (breakfast and lunch - both Maggi) at Double decker bridge. If you are planning to go till Rainbow falls (only attempt if you have strong calf muscles and good stamina), start as early as possible - probably 6am. If so, you can reach the falls before 12. Rainbow will be visible in the falls only at noon time when sun is at the top. There are humble home stays available around the double decker bridge - so you can trek to the rainbow falls on the 2nd day.

The Double Decker Living Root Bridge trek is one of the toughest treks in Northeast India. The trek has two parts – the first takes you to the Single Root Bridge, and the second leads to the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge. I went with my friends, and we managed to complete the entire trek, although one of my friends couldn’t complete the second part. After reaching the final destination, we found a natural pond near the bridge where we took a refreshing bath. It helped wash away all the tiredness and was a perfect way to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The experience was unforgettable

The lower bridge is thicker, the upper one narrower, both sturdy enough to cross. Locals maintain the area beautifully, and their warm smiles make you feel welcome even in such isolation. If you ever want to experience how patience and nature create magic, this is the place. Tips: – Carry water, ORS, and light snacks; no big stalls on the route. – Start the trek early morning to avoid heat and crowd. – Wear sturdy shoes with grip — the stairs can be slippery. – Stay overnight in Nongriat if possible — the peace after sunset is unreal.

The bridge itself is super cool, but what's even better is the hike to it! You walk down steep stairs though a jungle with big beautiful butterflies all around you (and huge spiders!! don't touch, they're poisonous), the views are superb with lush green mountains. You don't need a guide, the path is very obvious the whole way even to the rainbow falls. There are snack shops everywhere on the path. It was super hot and humid (November) and the hike is not for people with bad knees, you need good physical condition to do it, especially back up. We stayed a night in Nongriat village (Serene guesthouse) and we wish we'd stayed one more. It makes the hike easier when you don't have to hike down and up in one day.

From the parking area, it takes around 2 hours to reach the Double Decker Bridge through lush forest trails. From there, a 40 minute walk brings you to the serene Blue Lagoon. The trek to Rainbow Falls takes about 1 hour and is more challenging, as the route is less defined and requires careful footing. The return trek is where the real test begins: walking back to the Single Root Bridge is moderate, but after that, the narrow staircase stairways start—the ultimate leg and endurance challenge that will push your physical limits. Tips: start early (by 7–8 am) to avoid darkness around 4:30 pm, carry plenty of water, and pack snacks. Wear good trekking shoes and pace yourself—the views, the living bridges, the lagoon, and the falls make every step worth it. A must-visit for any wanderer seeking adventure and nature off the beaten path!

People who are not physically fit may find this trek too tough. There are 2 living root bridges on the way. The 1st one is a single bridge and the second one is the double decker bridge. Almost 3000 steps downward to reach the single bridge which should take around 1 hour. Then another half an hour to reach the double decker. This time it will be uphill and down both. The return trek will take almost double the time as frequent stops will be needed. Do not take any heavy luggage. You can carry light dry food and water. Local families also sell fruits, cold drinks and water on the way. Best time to start is 8 am in the morning so that you can be back by 12 to 1 pm. It would be less crowded at the bridges also.

Lawachara National Park is a historical place in Sreemangal. You can enjoy biodiversity here. Also, you can enjoy the rail lines crossing the parks along with intercity trains. But this is very rare. There are monkeys, so be careful of them. But the ticket price of 115 taka is very high. Not acceptable at all.

It’s a nice place to feel the nature, spend time in jungle vibe. Must visit if you want to get feeling of jungle hiking. Rail Line passed throughout the park, amaze you when train is moving acroos the national parl.

It was a rainy day when we travelled here. We were greeted by monkey. It was really quiet and it will help you to dissolve yourself within the nature. If you walk through the village more than a kilometre you can reach the Khasia village. Don't forget to try the Pan there.

I visited Lawachara National Park in July 2023, and honestly, it was one of the most magical and refreshing travel experiences of my life. Very few places allow you to feel this close to nature—and Lawachara gave me exactly that. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by a fresh, earthy scent of greenery. Towering trees, dense forest trails, birds chirping in the distance, and a soft drizzle in the air created a dreamlike atmosphere. I walked along the nature trail, where sunlight peeked through the leaves, and all I could see around me was green—pure, vibrant, and alive. While walking through the forest, I often saw groups of monkeys jumping from tree to tree, and at times, I could hear the calls of rare birds echoing through the trees. Our guide shared a lot of interesting facts about the park’s trees, butterflies, and wildlife. Despite all the sounds of nature, there was a kind of peaceful silence that made my mind feel calm and clear. Since I visited during the monsoon season, the weather was a bit humid and damp—but that only made the greenery look even fresher and more vivid. For those who love nature, walking trails, or wildlife photography, Lawachara is simply a must-visit destination. This journey taught me that true peace can be found when you’re lost in nature. In my opinion, if you're visiting Sylhet and skip Lawachara, you're missing out on one of the most beautiful parts of Bangladesh.

Louis Kahn designed the entire Jatiya Sangsad complex, which includes lawns, lake and residences for the Members of the Parliament (MPs). The architect's key design philosophy was to represent Bengali culture and heritage, while at the same time optimizing the use of space. The exterior of the building is striking in its simplicity, with huge walls deeply recessed by porticoes and large openings of regular geometric shapes. The main building, which is at the center of the complex, is divided into three parts – the Main Plaza, South Plaza and Presidential Plaza. An artificial lake surrounds three sides of the main building of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, extending to the Members of Parliament hostel complex. This skillful use of water to portray the riverine beauty of Bengal adds to the aesthetic value of the site.

While from the outside it is very impressive, the real drama unfolds in the interiors, where a 100 feet high space bathed in light from various angles, and animated by ramps, bridges and other elements, wrap around the central chamber which itself is awe-inspiring. There is a visitors section at the Assembly building which conducts guided visits (passports required, no phones, no photos) usually from 10am except weekends, without any prior permission. They can also take visitors to see some of the adjoining buildings. Call in advance to avoid disappointment, for a visit to remember. Very highly recommended

The parliament of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. The National Parliament of Bangladesh is one of the most beautiful legislative buildings in the world. Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan area in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of capital Dhaka is 215 acres. In addition to the main building, there are open green spaces, beautiful reservoirs and offices of parliamentarians. In 1961, the construction of the 9th floor building started. This building was inaugurated on January 28, 1982 after going through many ups and downs of history. The spectacular building was designed by famous American architect Louis I Kahn. The Sangsad Bhawan area is divided into three parts namely Main Building, South Plaza and Presidential Plaza. There is an aesthetic reservoir called Crescent Lake at the back of Parliament.

This is an outstanding masterpiece of world renowned Architect Louis Isadore Kahn. Although the security, the pass system are a bit tedious its another world of sights waiting on the otherside. The previously accessible public plaza is not allowed for general entry, which without any doubt is a shame. The structural details, volumes, the form, the play of sunlight and shade is an epic. The ecosystem of the birds within the compound is surprising and soothing to all the hearts. The scale of this monumental architecture will surely impact one's mind once they start to roam around the complex

I visited Mayapur ISKCON Temple yesterday. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place filled with divine energy. The temple area is very clean and well organized. I also got a Sulabh Prasad coupon for ₹50, available from 12 PM to 4 PM, and the food was really tasty and satisfying. The aarti and kirtan were wonderful and made the visit even more special. A must-visit place for peace, devotion, and spiritual joy.

This surprise a lot - No UPI ..no Credit card. The prayer will calm your inner peace . Mandir will close from 1 pm to 4 pm. New Golden temple is notvyet fully operational/ Openning . The visit charge of new temple is chargeable. In summer it's difficult to stay outside from 1-4 pm . Better to take one room at Gada Bhavan or other for Family members. Food quality is average - it's now chaged to Buffet system ( Old one was better system as per my feeling ) . Safety security inside mandir is good enough .

I went there with my family. All is good arti, street kirtan but if you not booked your room before go there then it's make you hard to feel the spiritual environment. Bcz every bhavan said that no room is available. ATM s are not working, only cash . Just think you go there with your old parents and you're not found any room for them and cash problem with hot temperature outside and for food you have to wait in line for 20-25mins minimum. Finally I got a room for 5040/- in conch bhavan for one day. New iskon temple still under construction, but for seeing the construction work you have to pay 50/- per person. The new one will be finished by 2027(assumption). I suggest you that if you think to visit iskon then book your room in advance. And if you go there with old parents then avoid the any bhavan food token. It's take too much time and you have sit on the floor for food. Who have physical problems please avoid it.

We visited here on 10th August on a heritage walk. My first time in this beautiful university. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this place.

It was an amazing experience to visit the memorials and buildings once created by Rabindranath Tagore and his father Debendranath Tagore. From the place where Debendranath Tagore found peace (chatimtala) to the tree where Rabindranath Tagore started teaching kids under the clear blue sky, everything was so mesmerizing, we were absolutely taken back to those times. We visited the 5 massive palaces built by Rabindranath Tagore and various departments like Arts and Music. Although we were'nt allowed inside due to some restrictions, we clicked a lot of pictures and enjoyed our stay at Santiniketan. Looking forward to visit one more time.

Visva Bharati University is one of the oldest and traditional universities of the country. Arts, music, etc. are taught under this university. I had the opportunity to visit this university once, the world famous poet Rabindranath Tagore's memory is hidden inside this university campus. The presence of ancient trees, ancient sculptures, chirping of birds, clear sky inside this campus is like a strange joy that gives peace to the mind.

At the day of Holi we had go there, this entire area is totally silent and peaceful but just because of Holi day it was very noice for crowd . Otherwise if you go there some another day you can find peace and spent a quality time with your loved ones.🫰

Woah! What a place and had a great experience. It is a calm and peaceful place where we get to know a lot about Rabindranath Tagore and his life. We can park our car and hire a Toto (auto) and the driver will take you around the campus and explain details about the significance of the place. Very friendly people. Clean and well maintained. Must visit to spend a day away from city life. Hand made artifacts are sold at a market nearby. The restaurant are next level there and serve amazing food at affordable prices.

I visited Belur Math and it was great. This is the spiritual home of the Ramakrishna mission and reflects teaching of Sri Ramakrishna. The location on the banks of the Hoogly River is spiritual with many devotees in attendance. The buildings have an architectural style which is unique with mixed elements coming together within the main prayer hall. No shoes or photography allowed inside, there are safe lockers to leave them in. Highly recommended visit in Kolkata.

Very peaceful place by the Hooghly river. The main gate is closed at 11:30 am every day. Visitor can have 'anna prasadam'. In that case visitor have to collect coupon @Rs 50 for each person. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the campus. But they don't force visitor to deposit the mobile.

Today (24 October 2025), I visited the iconic Howrah Bridge in Kolkata, and I must say, it left me completely amazed. It’s truly a wonder to see how such a massive bridge stands tall without a single supporting pillar in the river — a masterpiece of engineering and design. The place was quite crowded, as expected, but the energy and liveliness around the bridge had its own charm. What fascinated me the most was how beautiful the bridge looked at night when the lights were turned on — the entire structure glowed with elegance, creating a magical view over the Hooghly River. If you really want to experience the true beauty of the Howrah Bridge, I’d suggest seeing it from a boat on the river. The reflection of lights in the water and the calmness of the surroundings make it an unforgettable sight. However, I did feel that the footpath areas could be a bit cleaner and there are too many street vendors, which sometimes makes walking difficult. Also, it surprised me that there were no books or small stalls selling information about the bridge’s history. Being such a historical and symbolic structure, it would be wonderful if tourists could easily find books or pamphlets telling the story behind this great monument. Overall, visiting Howrah Bridge was a memorable and enriching experience — a blend of history, architecture, and human spirit that continues to inspire awe even today.

Visiting the Howrah Bridge was an unforgettable experience for me. Standing proudly over the Hooghly River in Kolkata, this iconic structure truly reflects India’s engineering brilliance and cultural heritage. I was amazed by its massive size, strength, and the way it connects the busy city of Kolkata with Howrah. The bridge feels alive with the continuous movement of people, cars, buses, and cycles, yet it stands so sturdy and powerful even after more than eight decades. The bridge, officially named Rabindra Setu, was opened to the public in 1943 during British rule. It is one of the longest cantilever bridges in the world and was built without using any nuts or bolts, which makes it a true marvel of design and construction. The structure is made of steel and perfectly designed to handle heavy traffic every day. As I walked across the bridge, I felt the cool breeze from the river and enjoyed the stunning view of the city skyline and boats below. The evening lights made the bridge look even more beautiful.

The flower market is not to be missed. Incredibly beautiful and photogenic. Take the time to walk through the alleyways of the flower market to see the different "specialists.". There is also an excellent ghat (along the river) on the backside of the market from which to take amazing photos of the Howrah Bridge.

A peaceful place to visit and spend time in the garden. It’s beautiful, especially the garden has lots of trees, pond, sitting benches and it’s a place where one can relax and enjoy a calm time. The monument is a memorial to Queen Victoria and is beautifully designed out of white marble. The dome wiz beautiful. As of 2025 November the ticket pricing is INR 30 for garden, INR 50 for garden and going inside the monument and INR 100 for garden, monument and gallery. You cannot any eatables or water/ liquid inside. Despite restriction on food, people have littered in the garden area , pond area with plastics, ghutka packets ! There should be strict vigilance and fine for such unacceptable behaviour!

It is a shopping mall at Durgapur City Centre. More of a mall it an entertaining place for roaming of general people. Location is beautiful. Easily accessible by Bus, toto, auto, rapido etc. Nice place for kids. Famous brand garments, jewellery, food and other kids entertainment are available here. It has its own parking area at the basement. Street side paid as well as free parking available. Price is as per the other malls. Night club also available. All the celebrating dates are celebrated here. People mostly use this mall for photography.

Excellent place...Malla King Bir Hambir commissioned this architectural marvel in 1587 as a sanctuary for Krishna idols during the annual Rash Festival. It features a compact, square central shrine enveloped by three concentric galleries, all crowned with an imposing pyramidal roof, with the outermost corridor distinguished by ten openings on each side, each gracefully framed by traditional Bengal roof structures, standing as a testament to the Malla Dynasty's legacy in Bishnupur. Route Direction: Rasmancha is located approximately 1 km east of the Rabindra Statue.

This is a Terracotta temple located in Bishnupur. This temple is very well maintained by Archeological Department Government of India. This temple size is big. You will feel but historic if you visit this. Entry fees is Rs.25 for each person. Witha single ticket you can visit all the temples in Bishnupur. I think this is the largest temple in Bishnupur. Temple is well maintained and even the washroom of the temple also very well maintained.

The Ras Mancha in Bishnupur will surely remind you of the old days when the Malla rulers reigned over the Bishnupur kingdom of the Bankura/Rarh region of medieval Bengal. In my opinion, the pyramid-like structure of the Ras Mancha is no less in grandeur than the Aztec or Mayan pyramids of Mexico. As per the information booklet available from the vendor right outside the main gate of the complex, the Ras Mancha was a venue of the famous Ras Utsav organised in the earlier centuries by the Malla rulers. It is required to buy a ticket before entering the complex (both offline and online payment services available), which gives simultaneous access to other sites within the city such as the Pancharatna Shyam Rai Temple. Hence, make sure that the Ras Mancha is in your bucket list when visiting Bishnupur.

Visiting Rash Mancha (Rasmancha) in Bishnupur was one of the highlights of my trip. Built in 1600 AD by King Bir Hambir, this unique structure is not exactly a temple in the usual sense but was designed as a stage for the grand Ras festival. What struck me most was the architectural uniqueness: the pyramidal roof, arched corridors, and the arrangement of galleries make it stand apart from the more common terracotta temples in the region. Relatively inexpensive ticket entry (around ₹ 25, if you go for online ticket the cost is ₹ 20) and this ticket gives access to multiple temples in Bishnupur.

Rasa (divine mellow), Mancha (Podium). An old brick and conch-mortar construction of a temple/hall for dance congregations and other activities. There's a nice lawn around the landmark. But all nearby alleys are narrow and there's no parking. So plan accordingly.

The Rasmancha Temple was built by the ruler Bir Hambir at the end of the 16th century. The temple has 108 columns and a pyramidal roof. A very amazing temple. It is surrounded by a well-groomed green lawn. Everything is very clean.

Henry’s Island near Bakkhali is a hidden gem an offbeat, serene beach retreat that’s great for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to escape the usual tourist buzz. From the mangrove-lined approaches to the quiet sand and vibrant morning scenes, it’s a place that offers both beauty and tranquility in equal measure.

That entire beautiful nature is full of trash, beer bottels, chips packets, plastic bottles and more & more 😑, why the hell they taking money from people,,, they are destroying the nature instead saving it!!!!

Nice place but be very alert the beach is full of quicksand , always look out for Govt Boards and Government gaurds and keep it clean .

When I first came to this place after coming to Bakkhali, I really liked it. And of course, there is hope here.

The Henry's Island consists of mainly a beach area with an entrance of mangrove forest. The beach side is not far away from the Bakkhali main area. We took a Toto to reach this area and spent 30-40 mins as we had to cover some other 4 points, a known package in the locality. We enjoyed as the nature has everything to offer to us. There is a small entry fees to be given to the govt. However, the actually entrance of the beach is very dirty. It looks like none cares about this place. There are several watch towers that provides stunning view of the area A day tour from Kolkata to Henry Island absolutely worth it.

Very nice and quiet place. If you are not looking for a bath in the sea then It's just amazing. The mangrove trees, watchtower, and the sea will definitely refresh your soul. Usually, people spend very less time here but I would recommend at least 2hours to spend here in the morning.

The beach is very dirty. The sea is calm and waves are not more than 2 foot in height. It was good to see the Siren was blowing during high rise.

Mandarmani is one of the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. Sandy beach with lots of crabs and star fishes to swim with. Even in the days of storms, it's mesmerizing and beautiful. The local food is amazing and lots of restaurants to go to. Be mindful to swim with caution. The beach does not have lifeguards.

One of the best beaches in East India if not the best. The beach is has a huge length so there are plenty of hotels and you will always find rooms. The beach is also very good for bathing so everyone can enjoy bathing in the sea. There are multiple water recreational activities available so the more adventurous people can always have fun here. The hotels are situated on the beach so you dont even have to walk, one step and you are on beach. Moreover there are multiple shacks available where you can have food and alcohol. You can go to the shacks and see live fish and chicken, then choose as per your likings and they will cook it for you as per your instructions. You can sit on the shack having alcohol and food enjoying the sea infront of you. There are multiple types of hotels from 5star to budget friendly ones available all along the shore line so you can choose as per your likings. Moreover since alcohol and food is allowed on the beach in shacks you will have a Goa type experience here at much lesser cost. Crabs, hilsa, chicken, mutton to even exotic fishes and meats are available in the shacks here so you will be spoilt for choices. Definitely visit this beach once.

Beautiful sea beach filled with lots and lots of tourists. We sat there for hours only to enjoy the picturesque view of the beach. According to locals, this beach is not good for decent tourists after evening as there are some people who drink alcohol and do substance abuse there(we went there in the morning, so we did not experienced any of these though). We bought cashew nuts there also at quite an affordable price and those were of premium quality.

The place is good but if you are expecting a good clean and clear arrangement of beach side sitting place then it's not for you. You can seat by the side of sea and enjoy your food. But all the left over and garbages will come to you feet. Live music, live sea food cooking is there but you can't expect a hygiene. Boat service is available there. Not sure about the price.

Udaypur Sea Beach is located on Odisha - Bengal border, nestled between New Digha and Talsari. It is around 2kms from New Digha and is easily accessible via road. Toto is easily available from Digha to Udaypur beach. Rates: 30 per person on sharing and 100 for reserve Toto. The beach is dirty and filthy. The water stinks and if you come out of the water, you will feel a greasy sticky layer on your skin. There are temporary stalls on the beach serving beer and sea food, but there ain’t any shack nearby. I would not recommend visiting Udaypur Beach, Puri has better beachfront than this.

The beach is very good and it is the perfect place for enjoying. It is better than vodarevu and ramapuram beach. One concern about the beach is that there are very less facilities like the washing area is absolutely disgusting and you can constantly smell fish.

Overall, while the beach and surrounding experience are delightful, better maintenance of basic amenities like washrooms would greatly enhance the visit.

The Shri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam is an incredibly powerful and must-visit pilgrimage site. Also it is budget friendly trip. Lots of staying options are available near temple and by online booking you can get sparsh darshan.

The temple is truly a peaceful and divine place where one can feel positive energy and calmness. I always find a sense of inner peace here. However, the management needs serious improvement. The temple authorities and staff often behave rudely with devotees, which spoils the spiritual experience. There is no proper communication or announcement regarding temple closing times, leaving visitors confused and disappointed. Also, the Sparsh Darshan tickets are available only through the official online site, but the website is poorly designed and often doesn’t work properly. It would be much better if the temple management focused on improving the online system and showing more respect and hospitality towards devotees.

The only Shrine in India with Both the Jyothirlingam and Shakti Peetham located with in the same Pranganam of the Temple. One of the most powerful temples in India. Srisailam has a good connectivity by Bus from major cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. If by Train, the nearest Stations are Markapur Road/ Nandyala. Depsite being the Shakti Peetham and Jyothirlingam, temple won't be much crowded as it is in the interior part of the State. Can expect more crowd during Special Occasions and on weekends. We visited in the Karthika Maasam and on weekend. It took 1hr for us for Darshanam. Crowd increases from morning to evening. Plan to reach temple premises by night or in the morning as the Ghat road will be closed midnight as it is forest area. Lot number of Hotels/ Satram's/ Dharamshala's will be there near Shrine. Please note that Sparsha Darshanam will only be there on weekdays and can be booked online. Have a beautiful Stay!

Talakona Forest is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I’ve visited. The greenery, waterfalls, and fresh air make it a perfect getaway from city life. The trekking trail and the sounds of nature give a completely refreshing experience.

It is the 300ft tallest waterfall in our telugu states. There will be a medium trek up to 1km or beyond but everybody can easily go except elderly people. It is situated in a deep forest, but no need to worry and till date nothing happens from cruel animals. Take a stick along with you as there are monkeys throughout. The forest dept also don't allow anyone to waterfalls after 4pm and opens at 8am. You will definitely witness the beauty of nature and soak with fresh air which definitely gives fresh energy and restores ourselves. There is also a shiv temple visit and seek blessings from him. Last but most important carry your food and water if you wish to stay for night

Loved the place. Less crowded after 1pm. Be Cautious while walking on the terrain and a bit slippery near the water fall. Peaceful and never ending excitement.. a great place for nature lovers.

One of the best waterfalls with small puddles need to be careful though. After walking nearly 1 km from the bus drop point u will find a beautiful water pond like structure mentioned in the images. After the climb u get to see the marvelous scenic view. Be safe .

It is a very spiritual and peaceful place. A very good temple to visit with family and friends. The atmosphere is divine and gives a positive energy. Some suggestions for improvement: Currently, the entry fees are accepted only in cash. It would be better if they start accepting UPI or digital payments, as it is convenient for many visitors. Also, they often ask for exact change, which is difficult sometimes. In case of emergencies, it would be good if the management allows devotees to exit easily. For example, one parent’s kid was crying but they did not allow them to leave quickly and insisted on following the full queue. Since they are collecting entry fees, they should provide better services and facilities for devotees. Some of the management staff have a rude attitude, which can be improved to make devotees feel more welcomed. Overall, it is a must-visit spiritual place, but these small improvements can make the experience even better.

Heard about this place a lot so went on 5th oct 25 with family. The parking area was covered but still slushy due to overnight rains. We had to wade through the slush. Though entry fee was rupees 20 but no staff was available hence we entered free. The temple was maintained well. The siva lingams were placed in a orderly manner and pathway was built to access all the lingams. On the biggest lingam honeybees have built their honeycomb. Photo attached. Anyone can keep a lingam in their name after paying rupees 8000 for small one, 35000 for a bigger one and more than a lac for giant size siva lingam. A small pooja will be conducted then a space is allotted for your lingam. Drawback was they do not accept gpay or credit card or debit card only cash. This issue needs to be addressed by the temple authorities. They should not expect devotees to bring this much amount of cash. Infact for using toilet facilities the person collects rupees 5 per head via gpay though the toilet was nasty. The authorities must reign up the contractor. Overall a must visit place but take good amount of cash if you want to keep a lingam there.

Worthy of a one time visit only. Lots of various hindu deities within the complex, beside the 'koti' (meaning crore/ten million) shivlings spread across the place. Serene and peaceful yet this place is by no means a temple for offering prayers. It's clearly made out to be more of a tourist attraction. Starting from paid parking, entry fee of ₹20/- per person, directed visitors in a sequence to confront various hindu deities where the pujari's give you extra attention if one offers money. Better yet, these 'pujaris' coax every visiting individual to 'offer' money for 'blessings'. If one doesn't give/offer money, they grumble and show a care less attitude. Personally dissappointed and not likely to visit this place ever again. I reiterate, this place is more of a tourist attraction, not exactly a place of worship. Accordingly, go mentally prepared when visiting this place.

Temple is very good. Road is also nice to drive if you by Bangalore-Chennai expressway. The only thing which I did not like was at the entrance many transgenders who would demand money from everyone. Other thing is unnecessary forcing people through all the small temples in a queue. Rest all things are very nice and energy there is astonishing. Pujari told there was Brihma temple as well which is second only after Pushkar ji.

Surrounding it are over 90 lakh (9 million) small Shivalingas, installed by devotees over the years. According to a priest there, around 10 lakh more need to be installed to reach the goal of 1 crore (10 million) Lingas, which is the temple's namesake and vision. The temple complex also houses shrines for many other deities such as Ganesha, Hanuman, Annapoorneshwari, Vishnu, and others, making it a multi-deity pilgrimage spot. That said, the experience feels over-commercialized. There's a mandatory ₹20 entrance fee, and almost every shrine has people expecting or insisting on donations, even for a simple darshan. Especially at the Annapoorneshwari shrine, visitors are pressured to donate ₹100 or ₹200 in exchange for a packet of vibhuti, which many may find forceful or inappropriate. Overall, it’s a fascinating temple to visit for its scale and symbolism, but be prepared for repeated donation requests and a very money-minded environment.

Recently visited the place early morning from Bangalore, the road is so good for a road trip. The timing of temple opening mentioned on google is wrong, it doesn’t open at 6 am it does at 7:30 am so plan your travel accordingly. There is ample parking space around the temple, footwear stands are available and some local shops around the temple. The entry ticket is Rs 20 per adult, kids below six years have free entry. The temple allows only traditional dress code for men and women, and phones are allowed inside the temple premises. There are many small temples inside of different deities along with all the lingams. There are many temple area is huge and takes at least an hour to visit fully. The views are mesmerising and definitely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime!
