The Khambhalida Buddhist Caves are a hidden gem nestled at the foot of small hillocks by a spring. Carved out of limestone rocks, these caves consist of three main chambers, with the central one housing the stupa known as chaitya cave. The site also features two sculptures of Bodhisattva flanking the entrance to the chaitya cave. Despite being an archaeological site in Gujarat, it has been neglected and lacks proper management and promotion for tourism.
Buddhist caves of khambhalida is an archaeological site in Gujarat. There are only 2 caves but the entire lime stone 🪨 structure depict it's gravity itself. You can see the carving in the caves that is the main attraction 🧲 of the caves But do not worry, now the place is well developed with many sitting area under natural shade of trees 🌴 as well good management for parking 🅿️ and bird 🐦 feeding. And no ticket 🎟️ charges to visit. PS: best time to visit this place is in monsoon. there I river flowing behind the caves.

This place has potential to be developed as a major tourist attraction for it’s historical significance and Gujarat tourism must make efforts to publicize it on their web site and also transport arrangements from Rajkot airport. It is so great to see the history of old Tibetan / Jain monks from 4th century making this place for meditation.
Prashant G — Google review
too long journey, to see just ruins of ancient heritage site very pity for the archaeological dept, govt of India and local people.. who are happy by not conserving, this very much important part of our rich history.. still its aura is amazing, nearby river and jungle is serene to feel the aura roads are good to reach till the gate, ample parking space, not maintained toilets are rusted n not cleaned. tickets or entry pass not needed, it's free. 15 to 20 minutes enough to see the site no food or water available in and around some lovebirds wandering around, as it is a lonely place..
Jinesh ( — Google review
Archeologically important and very ancient Buddhist caves with a small river flowing in front of the caves and lots of green trees in surroundings. Surrounding environment is calm and cool. Enough parking space available outside. New Buddhist temple besides these caves is also being developed.
Dipak P — Google review
Must visit this place early in the morning or in the evening. The sound of peacocks all around creates a beautiful atmosphere, and the touch of nature will truly lift your spirits.
Narendra S — Google review
10minutes from Khambhalida Temple these Buddhist caves are a hidden gem. This is a very small part of what could have been a bigger residence or meditation cave for Buddhist Monks in the ancient era. The cave is not open for exploration but this is a must visit if you are a history buff. Also, the natural environment makes a perfect opt for a photoshooot. The place is secluded and in the middle of a jungle, many locals can be spotted however avoid wandering off the trek one can easily gets lost in the Jungle.

The Rotary International Dolls Museum, located in Rajkot, Gujarat, is a unique bi-level museum showcasing over 1,600 dolls from 102 countries dressed in traditional attire. Established in 2001 by Deepak Agrawal, the museum aims to educate children about global cultures through an entertaining experience. Supported by various organizations and Rotary clubs worldwide, the well-organized exhibits offer insight into the rich cultural heritage of different countries.
It is a must visit and best place for kids to see different cultures around the world and that too under one roof. The Dolls Museum is one of it's kind with amazing dolls from around the world. A must visit place in Rajkot. The cultures of different countries are being reflected with the eye catchy doll setups. The place reflects different cultures from around 102+ country with 1600+ Dolls in museum. It's on 2nd and 3rd floor. There is a lift available. Monday is closed. The staff is also very well informed and they narrated us the complete story behind the set up of this museum. The main thing is no doll being purchased, but all dolls are being gifted by all rotary clubs around the world… The entry fee is Rs. 30 per person. There is extra Rs. 30 charge per camera if you want to take photographs. Cool place....

A very nice place to visit with children. There are various collections of dolls from different countries. Entry fee Rs 30 per person Mobile photography fees Rs 30 per mobile. You can enjoy it here with your kids and family.
Sridhar J — Google review
It's is one of the best museum of Gujarat, to understand the global culture. However its in narrow area, parking is also little problem. Worth to visit. Spare 1-2 hours.
Lalit G — Google review
A unique museum!! It's a rare opportunity to see a Dolls museum, here in Rajkot. Good to visit with children. The museum is situated on 2&3 rd floors. The lift was not working when we reached there. We had to climb steps. It was built by an ex Rotary president of Rajkot for his daughter. He wrote mails to Rotary branches of the world and hence many international branches sent dolls representing their country and regions. It takes around 1 hour to see all the exhibits. The rooms are air conditioned. The tickets cost ₹30 per adult and ₹15 per child. It costs another ₹125 if you want to click photos. The dolls represent their country's costume and culture. Children can spend good time there. However make sure they have emptied their bladder before. Because the toilet here is a medieval era one, on the ground floor. I wish the Rotary club would pay attention and renovate the toilet as kids come to this place.
Joel D — Google review
In one word it is simply A Magical Journey Through Cultures! The Rotary International Dolls Museum in Rajkot is a fascinating wonderland for children of all ages: Over 1,600 dolls from 102+ countries, each showcased in traditional attire and set up with miniature scenes that let kids explore global cultures at a glance. Recognized in the Limca Book of Records for its unique and expansive collection. The displays include everything from folk dance dolls (like Bhangra and Dandiya) to Barbie and Einstein figurines, string/glove puppets, and even a rare Rocking Zebra—only one of five in the world! The themed showcases are beautifully lit and educational, with info about the country, culture, music, and costumes for each doll. Friendly and helpful staff guide visitors through the exhibits and share the fascinating stories behind many dolls. Includes interactive spaces like a cinema hall showing documentaries and cultural films, a Foreign Language Learning Centre, and a souvenir shop with stickers, postcards, and miniature flags. The Rotary International Dolls Museum is a safe, clean, and well‑maintained spot with plenty of visual stimulation and educational value. It’s perfect for a fun and cultural outing with kids. Every visit feels like a mini‑world tour where curious children can learn about cultures around the globe through beautiful doll displays. Note: Highly recommended Mainly for Kids.
Siva T — Google review
A total different experience. Must visit, just 30₹ pp entry fees. This museum is surely made due to low and attraction towards dolls by rotary club. Definitely not a commercial thought process. Much appreciate the concept. They have 2 floors of museum, soveniour shop inside and collection of 1800+ different dolls from approx. 108 countries. Totally different and unique experience. Worth visiting. Please note its closed on Monday.
Sanjog K — Google review
It’s been great to see a father’s commitment to her daughter for building such a dolls museum because he wasn’t able to make her daughter saw museum in Delhi. Many activities are going on here with just deposit and if full attendance then they refund full amount. Really well preserved all dolls in museum and one Zebra ride kind of activity is great for kids.
Dhiren S — Google review
Amazing, surprising, charming and mesmerizing world of Dolls from every corner of world. This may seem to be a children's attraction...But no..Not all. This is the world of innocence, beauty. The truthfully faces of each doll reminds that this world must be filled with love only. A must visit place if you are in Rajkot.

As a premier amusement park in the region, it stands out for its fantastic array of rides and a wonderfully family-friendly atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for a memorable day out. Perfect place for kids to enjoy. This place has many rides which kids like a lot and many of these are suitable for adults as well. There are rides packages available at entrance at nominal cost like Rs 200 or so for 10-12 rides else one can also pay for individual rides at multiple counters present inside the premises as well. The place is majorly clean and toilet and water facility are available. Some options for Snacks icecreams etc are also available. One can find free Parking on main road outside. During late evening times the crowd is too much so one has to wait in long queues for his/ her turn for each ride. Overall nice breakout place for couple of hours.

One of the best place in Morbi to hangout. I would strongly suggest to visit this place when you are in the city. There is a safe and enough place for parking.
Sunny V — Google review
As one enters Morbi swaying pylons of the suspension bridge and the beatific riverfront is a nostalgic reminder of Victorian London. Located 64 km from Rajkot is the town of Morbi with its quaint cobbled alleyways and buildings reminiscent of 19th century Europe. Morbi’s former ruler Sir Waghji inspired by Colonial influences designed a technologically planned and versatile city. The visitor is welcomed into the city through a grand suspension bridge, an artistic and technological marvel of that period. European influence in town planning further contributed to a central square known as the Green Chowk, approachable by three gates each designed in its own inimitable style incorporating both Rajput and Italian elements.

Shree Ghela Somnath Mahadev Mandir is a less popular but historically significant temple in Gujarat. It holds the Shiva Linga that was brought here from Somnath during an attack by Ghori, with Minaldevi and Ghelo Vanoyo risking their lives to protect it. The temple is about 40 minutes away from Gadhada and offers food, stay facilities, and parking for devotees.
Which we know by the name of Mahadev, that is Bholiyanath, that is Ghela Somnath Mahadev, which is located in Jasdan taluka. This is the Shankar Bhagwan temple, which we know by the name of Ghela Somnath. On the circumambulation path of Ghela Somnath temple, the names of the twelve Jyotirlingas and information about them are given. When you enter the temple, a garden has also been made on its left side in the name of the martyred soldier. What else can I say where there is real Somnath Mahadev and also Ghela Somnath, to whom you can get whatever you wish for.A photo of the history of Ghela Somnath has also been added to the review.

The temple is truly a beautiful and peaceful place. It is very well maintained, and you can clearly see the efforts of the management and staff in keeping everything clean and organized. The surroundings are calm, the atmosphere is divine, and the entire place gives a sense of peace and positivity. However, visitors should also understand that it’s our shared responsibility to keep the temple clean. The staff and volunteers work hard every day to maintain the beauty and purity of this sacred place, but public cooperation is equally important. Please avoid littering, follow the temple rules, and help maintain the cleanliness and serenity of this divine place. A big appreciation to the temple management for their excellent maintenance and devotion towards keeping this holy place so pleasant and peaceful.

I have been visiting Salangpur Hanumanji Mandir for almost 25 years now and have witnessed its amazing transformation — from a small temple to a grand tirtha sthaan. The growth in the last 5–7 years is truly remarkable. The new dharamshala, with 952 rooms, is incredible — it feels like a 5-star hotel with all modern amenities. The new bhojanshala is outstanding too, with an impressive capacity and excellent management. As for the temple, there are no words — simply divine. Every visit feels special, and the murti of Hanumanji astonishes me every single time. All this is possible only because of Hanumanji’s grace and blessings on everyone who visits. Jai Shree Ram! 🙏

A Truly Divine and Transformative Experience at Sarangpur Hanuman Temple ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars: A Must-Visit Pilgrimage Site in Gujarat The Kashtbhanjan Hanuman Temple in Sarangpur is not just a place of worship; it is an experience that touches the soul. My visit here was profoundly peaceful and spiritually uplifting. Atmosphere and Environment: The moment you step into the sprawling temple complex, you are struck by a sense of calm and divinity. The air resonates with chants and devotion. Despite the crowds (especially on Saturdays and Tuesdays), the management is incredibly efficient, ensuring a smooth darshan (viewing) process. The temple itself is stunning, showcasing the signature, intricate architecture associated with the Swaminarayan tradition. The cleanliness of the entire premises is commendable. Spiritual Significance & the Deity: The central belief that Lord Hanuman here alleviates all sufferings (kasht) and evil influences is powerful, and the atmosphere reinforces this faith. The murti (idol) of Hanuman Ji is majestic and vibrant, inspiring instant reverence. Facilities and Hospitality: The temple trust does a fantastic job of managing facilities. Clean and affordable accommodation options are available, making it feasible for multi-day visits. The food at the canteen/dining hall is simple, hygienic, and satisfying. Overall Impression: My time at Sarangpur provided immense mental peace and a powerful spiritual recharge. It's a place where faith is visibly tangible. If you are seeking solace, a highly organized pilgrimage experience, or simply a magnificent architectural marvel, make sure to visit this divine abode. It is truly one of the most powerful and well-managed temples I have ever visited in India

One of the best temple adjacent to BAPS swaminarayan temple dedicated to God Hanuman. It has a neat and clean surrounding and a devine feeling. Ample parking is available near temple and also many food outlets. It is also known as Kashtbhanjan temple. It's near Botad in Saurashtra and a popular destination among devotees. It has several good guest houses surrounded by temple with a Gaushala.

Lothal, Archaeological Remains Of A Harappa Port-Town

Mentioned on
1 list
Sights & Landmarks
Archaeological museum
Lothal, located in Gujarat, India, is an ancient city dating back to 2400 BCE and was a significant center of the Indus Valley Civilization. The name 'Lothal' means 'Mound of the Dead' in Gujarati. It was known for its advanced urban planning, dockyards, and drainage system. Situated along trade routes connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley, it played a crucial role in trade and commerce.
For history enthusiasts, Lothal offers a unique chance to walk through a city that was once a thriving port and trade center. It's a must-visit for history buffs, offering a rare glimpse into the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. While the site itself is impressive, visitor facilities and information are limited, so manage your expectations and prepare for a largely self-guided tour.

Slightly remote place, on the way to bhavnagar from ahmedabad. There is less public transportation means. Very nice place to feel the ancient history, no entry fees for visiting the site. Lothal museum is under construction about 5 km from the site.

A must-visit place for history lovers! Lothal is one of the most fascinating sites of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. It’s amazing to see how advanced people were thousands of years ago — with a proper dockyard, drainage system, and town planning. The museum nearby showcases pottery, seals, and artifacts that give you a real sense of life during that time. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a day trip from Ahmedabad. If you love history, archaeology, or just want to explore India’s ancient roots, Lothal is definitely worth visiting.

Not much in terms of excavation, but a lovely place teeming with birds! Though a huge museum is coming up nearby. Worth a visit only if passing through nearby.
Mehul J — Google review
The Harappa civilization site at Lothal is a very beautiful place. It exudes a sense of peace, and the cool breeze makes you wonder why the people of Lothal chose to live here—perhaps it was because of this serene environment and pleasant climate. Although the structures are very old, their condition is gradually deteriorating because visitors enter the ruins, causing damage. In its current open state, it seems like the Archaeological Survey of India is not actively preserving it. The cemetery appears almost lost, with no accessible path to reach it. Overall, the site is very enriching for history enthusiasts, while others may see it as just a casual visit. However, you can truly appreciate that the people of that era had knowledge of science and mathematics. The government should take action to protect and preserve this heritage site.

Visiting lothal on weekends specially on early morning drives is recommended. I have visited yhe site at post monsoon so the dockyard is full of water giving real vibe. The location shows there is a museum is permenent closed. If you have prior knowledge of this site then this visit could be the most interesting. Otherwise you real roam around and exit.
Devashree P — Google review
Best time to visit this place is during winters. You will be able to sit and experience the thousands of years of history here. A must visit for history enthusiast. Currently the archeological musuem is under construction. There is no information when it will open again, therefore you won't be able see the artifacts that have been found here. But the site is open and you can definitely visit it.
Srijeeta S — Google review
Visited Lothal with family and really enjoyed the experience. The place gives a simple but amazing glimpse into one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Seeing the ancient dockyard and town layout felt like stepping back in time. Display photos of interesting artifacts explains things nicely. The area is peaceful, clean, and easy to explore. Carry water and a cap because the sun likes to attend the tour too. Great spot for a short, educational family trip. Perfect for anyone curious about old Indian history in a calm setting.

Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad is a must-visit destination, offering a variety of attractions and activities. The iconic Sabarmati Ashram, located on the river's shores, is a significant historical site where Mahatma Gandhi spent several years. It now serves as a museum showcasing objects related to India's fight for independence. The riverfront promenade features parks, boating facilities, zip-line amusements, and markets.
Narmada river front is an absolute beauty. It seems like we are in a European country. Best time is to visit in evening or after sunset and take a stroll here. They are provide rented bicycle, scooter and even stakes to enjoy with friends and family. Amazing place and a must visit for everyone coming to visit Ahmedabad.

I went to Sabarmati Riverfront early in the morning during my exam days, and it turned out to be a very relaxing experience. The place is calm, the sound of the river waves is very soothing, and the cool morning breeze makes it even better. Ahmedabad can be quite hot, so visiting this place in the morning felt really peaceful. There’s a metro station around 2 km away, so it’s also easy to reach. The main riverfront area is open 24/7, but if you want to visit the Atal Bridge or garden area, they open after 9 AM. There are trees all around, and you can even find bicycles nearby to ride, though they are a bit costly. Still, it’s a good experience, especially for visitors from outside the city. Overall, a great spot for a quiet walk or just to sit and relax in the fresh air.
Ansh R — Google review
The riverfront is very beautiful and it is very peaceful during non-peak hours. I visited during early morning hours and I saw people cycling and jogging on the promenade. The river was very calm and greenery was lush. The infrastructure developed by the government there is very well maintained. The walking space is huge and very picturesque. The long riverfront offers ample space to exercise, cycle, run and walk. The place is also clean and not littered by plastic. I also saw a river cleaning boat gathering trash that was thrown in river during early hours.

e Sabarmati Riverfront is a major urban revitalization project in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, that transformed a neglected riverfront into a public recreational space with parks, gardens, promenades, event venues, and improved infrastructure. The project, which began in 2005, created public riverfront land by channeling the river, enabling year-round water management, reducing pollution, and providing a space for recreation, public events, and improved traffic flow. It features a two-level promenade, cycling paths, and public seating, and has become a venue for events like the International Kite Festival.

Sights & Landmarks
Sabarmati Ashram, also known as Gandhi Ashram or Satyagraha Ashram, is a significant site of Hindu spirituality located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It served as the residence for Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba Gandhi. The ashram is renowned for being the starting point of Gandhi's famous Dandi March.
I really don’t know whether to put a 4star or 1star, anyway, as a place known by one of the most influenced personality ever, providing 5 star. The place, you will feel like an old clean compound, where the great asabarmati pass by. I reached whe it was quiet calm, very less crowded, neat surroundings. But the government could do more. They can put a Khadi store there for outsiders, can have a stall of fresh juice, can have a ‘Goshaala’ where you get pure ghee.. government could do much more, but presently it is at outskirts of a big city with less development reached. Anyway worth of a single visit.

I recently visited Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram and it was a very peaceful and meaningful experience. The place has a calm atmosphere and you can actually feel the simplicity with which Mahatma Gandhi lived. The museum inside is well maintained and displays his personal belongings, letters, photographs and important moments from India’s freedom struggle. Walking around the ashram gives a sense of history and inspiration at the same time. The view of the Sabarmati River adds to the serenity of the place. It is not just a tourist spot, but a place that reminds us of Gandhiji’s values and way of life. Definitely worth visiting.

Gandhiji's Sabarmati Ashram, located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, is a must-visit for anyone interested in India's independence movement. This serene was Gandhi's home from 1917 to 1930, and it's where he planned the Dandi March. The ashram's museum showcases his life, with exhibits on his philosophy, letters, and personal belongings. The peaceful gardens and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect spot for reflection. A visit here inspires and educates. This place was really helpful for the students and the people who are interested in the history of India. Inside the ashram there is art gallery of the independence movement. There is a small museum there which exhibits the different verities of charkas. The ashram was well maintained and clean.

I recently had the chance to visit Gandhi Ashram with my fellow Local Guides, and it was a truly memorable experience. The moment you step into the premises, there’s a deep sense of peace that surrounds you — it feels like stepping back in time to the era of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum is incredibly well-maintained, and walking through it while reading the display boards and admiring the oil paintings really gives you a glimpse into Bapu’s life, values, and struggles. Every corner of the Ashram carries a sense of calm and inspiration. It’s not just a historical place, but a space where you can reflect, learn, and feel connected to something much bigger than yourself. If you’re in Ahmedabad or anywhere nearby, this is a must-visit spot — not just for history lovers, but for anyone seeking a peaceful and meaningful experience.

A quiet afternoon spent walking the peaceful grounds of the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. It’s impossible not to feel the weight and grace of history here. Standing in the simple room where Mahatma Gandhi lived is a powerful reminder that the greatest change often starts with the greatest simplicity. A truly humbling and necessary visit.
Soumyakanti P — Google review
One of the cleanest and well-maintained places I have been to. I had an industrial visit here. This ashram shows the life of Gandhi in an extensive way. Lot of trees in the premises. Must-visit.
Ramya I — Google review
Nestled on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad (with a wide access now created from the Sabarmati Riverfront project), the Sabarmati Ashram stands as a pillar of India’s freedom movement and the personal abode of Mahatma Gandhi from 1917 to 1930. Founded by Gandhi, the ashram served not only as his residence but as the nerve-centre of the Non-Violent Civil Disobedience Campaigns, including the 1930 Salt March. The simple, humble buildings and open spaces reflect Gandhi’s ideals of truth, simplicity, self-reliance and community life. A standout architectural element of the ashram is its museum complex – the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya – designed by legendary architect Charles Correa and completed in 1963. Correa imbued the museum with a vernacular modernism: modular 6 m × 6 m units arranged around courtyards and water-bodies, brick piers, stone floors, tiled roofs and wooden louvre screens all deliberate to reflect ‘swadeshi’ materials and climatic responsiveness. The museum architecture draws inspiration from the layout of village houses in Gujarat’s Banni region and is designed for incremental growth, symbolic of a ‘living institution’. In recent years, the ashram has entered a major new phase: the central and Gujarat governments have rolled out a masterplan for a ₹1,200 crore redevelopment project that will expand the ashram precinct from the current 5 acres to around 55 acres, encompassing 36 existing buildings for conservation, restoration or redevelopment. The plan includes new visitor-orientated amenities such as an orientation centre, interactive workshops on charkha spinning, handmade paper, cotton weaving, a library and archives, and multilingual interpretive exhibits. Together, the ashram’s historic legacy, Correa’s architecture and the sweeping redevelopment project combine to make Sabarmati Ashram not just a preserved heritage site but an evolving memorial that aims to communicate Gandhi’s values to future generations in a holistic, immersive way.

This is my second visit after fifteen years. During my first visit I spent about three hours at the place going through each and every display. On the River front things were not so well organised. Now the place looks aged and lacks maintenance. The river front is now totally revamped and looks very inviting. Construction work for the new museum has started and may be, after couple of years it will again be a place to visit.

I visited Manek Chowk in Ahmedabad during a corporate trip. It’s near Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate and famous as a late-night food market open until 1 or 2 a.m. We went there because most of Ahmedabad closes by 8–9 p.m., unlike Delhi which stays lively late. Honestly, the experience was underwhelming. The area is crowded, but there are only 8–10 food carts, mostly selling the same items like bhaji pav, pulao, kaju pulao, small pizzas, and some South Indian snacks. Everything is served on plastic chairs and tables in open air, and hygiene seemed low. The only highlight for us was the jamun fruit shots they were really fresh and tasty. Overall, if you want a full dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you just want to experience the local late-night food vibe in Ahmedabad, it’s worth a quick visit.

Rating: 1/5(As can't give zero stars) Tried Mysore Masala Dosa, Manchurian Noodles, and Cold Coco — would rate them 1/5, 1/5, and 3/5 respectively. The dosa was a disaster — dripping with oil, almost fried. Someone, a decade ago, probably decided to fuse sweet curd/lassi with masala dosa, and people just went along. It’s honestly the murder of authentic South Indian food. Sambhar was just average. The noodles tasted like ₹10 roadside fare — overly salty, with small-length noodles. The Manchurian was extremely dry, halved pieces resembling soy chunks. Every food outlet seemed to serve the same mediocre stuff, just under different names. And the crowd — chaotic, overcrowded, barely space to stand.Even Fish Market is less noisy then this place. Prices are also overhyped and unjustified for the quality offered. For a tourist, I’d strongly recommend skipping this so-called “iconic” Manek Chowk. Ahmedabad has better and cleaner places to enjoy local flavours.

Great place for a fun outing with family or friends! Kankaria Talav has something for everyone — toy train, zoo, kids' play areas, food stalls, and a beautiful lake view. It's clean, well-maintained, and lively in the evenings. Best to visit during sunset for a nice walk around the lake. Good spot for kids and couples too!

Nice place to hang out with kids. There is a toy train ride which is a nice experience for kids. Multiple food restaurants and snacks sellers are there. We also visited 2 zoos in the same area. Recommend 5-6 hours time if you want to cover everything.

Sri Siddhivinayak Devasthan | Mahemdavad

Place of worship
Nestled in the serene surroundings of Mahemdavad, Gujarat, the Sri Siddhivinayak Devasthan is a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Its unique elephant-shaped architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens create an inviting atmosphere for visitors. The temple houses a stunning idol of Ganesha on the third floor, while the first floor showcases various Ganesha idols from around the world, each with its own story.
We went to the Asian's biggest temple of lord Shree Ganesha during summer vacation. It makes up from the mountain and cave structured temple makes me feel like I'm on an adventure! It was a blissful and great experience with family and friends both. I liked the Prasadam arrangement, entering the temple, various Ganesha's sculptures across the world there. I would love to go there again and again!!💕

A beautiful and wonderful temple of lord ganeshji at bank of vatrak river in mahemdavad town of kheda district in gujarat. It is near from Ahmedabad and nadiad. The main thing about this mandir is shape, that is given to the lord ganeshji's face. The temple is made with Australian technique. There is also temple of lord Shiva, arbuda ma. It is asia's biggest temple of lord ganeshji with shape of ganeshji's face.

Peaceful spiritual destination that blends devotion with beautiful architecture. The temple’s serene atmosphere, clean surroundings, and the divine idol of Lord Ganesha create an uplifting experience for every visitor. The premises are well-maintained, and the staff are polite and helpful. Whether you visit during festivals or on a regular day, the energy here feels calming and positive. A must-visit for those seeking blessings and a moment of peace away from the hustle of daily life.

Sri Sidhi Vinayaka Devasthala is a unique and beautiful temple, known for holding the record of being the biggest Ganesha-shaped temple. The architecture and premises are really impressive and well maintained. I visited during Ganesha Chaturthi, so it was quite crowded and took around 30 minutes in line. The temple is properly managed and clean, with a food court and even a small game zone for kids, which makes it family-friendly. Overall, a very nice spiritual and cultural spot to visit in Ahmedabad.

“Peaceful & Divine Experience” Siddhivinayak Temple in Mehmdavad is truly a place filled with positivity and devotion. The temple is beautifully maintained and gives a very calm and spiritual vibe the moment you enter. Darshan is smooth, and the environment feels peaceful with the chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” all around. The temple premises are clean, well-organized, and perfect for spending some quiet, prayerful time with family. If you’re in Mehmdavad, this temple is definitely a must-visit for blessings and peace of mind. 🙏✨
Tanviben P — Google review
Shri Siddhi Vinayak Devasthan which is located in Mehmadabad. It is very beautiful and stands out in terms of design because the shape of the temple is made like the shape of Ganpati Bappa's face. This temple is two-storeyed, in which the temple of Ganpati Bappa is on the second floor, the temple of Mahadev on the first floor and the shopping area on the ground floor. This temple is open from 6 am to 10 pm. There is also a food court where you can eat whatever you want, in which South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese and Gujarati and fast food are available. But there is nothing good to eat here. There is also a very large space for parking outside. Many people also do their own vows here. In which you have to bring your own wheat and make it upside down near the temple and after the vow is completed, you have to come back to the temple and make a straight vow from the wheat.

Spacious rooms, good food, and recreational activities. Some resorts are praised for their ambiance, such as a royal or village theme, and for providing a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Friendly staff, cleanliness, and overall good value for money.

I recently spent a wonderful day and night at Aalloa Resort, and it was a truly refreshing experience. The staff were cooperative, friendly, and very attentive, making our stay comfortable and pleasant. The rooms were neat, clean, and well-maintained, and the amenities provided were quite good. The food was fresh, tasty, and of good quality — we really enjoyed every meal. The resort offers some unique experiences like camel rides and cycling, which added to the fun. The location is beautifully set with a view of the Sabarmati River, surrounded by nature, birds, and peaceful scenery — an ideal spot to relax your mind away from the rush of city life. Suggestions for improvement: The mattresses could be softer for better comfort. The swimming pool can be made larger and perhaps include a music system to enhance the ambience. The road from the highway to the resort could be widened for smoother access. The home theatre wasn’t working, so it would be great if that could be fixed, please ensure that all services are available during the full season time. Overall, it’s a beautiful place worth visiting for anyone looking to spend quality time in peace and natural surroundings. I will definitely recommend this resort who needs relax and peace.I’d love to visit again! 🌿✨

Excellent just love ❤️ this place. This place is owned by Amul company itself. Located just outside the main production facility. Quality is too good. Amul cola is good in taste. Keychup also tastes very good.

Zanzari Waterfall

Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
A series of cascades on a wide, rocky riverbed, with pools for swimming, accessed via a short hike.
Had an amazing one-day picnic with friends at Zanjari Waterfall! 🌿💦 The place is absolutely beautiful, especially during the monsoon season — truly a must-visit. The waterfall looks stunning, but do stay away from getting too close to the water during monsoon as the flow is very strong and can be risky. We enjoyed some hot Maggi near the waterfall which made the experience even better. There were also camel rides nearby, which added a fun touch to the trip. You can also visit the Utkanteshwar Mahadev Temple, which is close by and worth seeing. One small tip: carry your own snacks and drinking water, as there are no major restaurants on the way to the waterfall. Overall, it was a wonderful day out in nature, and I’d highly recommend this spot for a short getaway with family or friends. 🌧️🌲
Yashraj J — Google review
This location is undoubtedly good spot to explore during the monsoon season. The natural beauty is breathtaking, with lush greenery enveloping the entire area, offering a refreshing escape from city life. Do carry an ample supply of drinking water and food, as there are no shops or refreshment stalls available in the vicinity. The area is largely untouched and remote, which adds to its charm but also calls for basic preparation. Be prepared for a moderate trek of approximately 3-4 kilometers. The walk through nature is truly rejuvenating, though certain sections of the path can become quite slippery due to rain, so proper footwear is strongly recommended. A camel ride is available near the entry point and adds a unique, enjoyable element to the visit especially for families or those looking for something different.
Rinkesh K — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5) Visited Zanzari Waterfall during the rainy season and it was a beautiful experience 🌿💦 The walk to reach the waterfall is quite long, but if you don’t want to walk much, you can also take a camel ride – I paid ₹400 for 2 people. The place feels very refreshing and peaceful once you reach the falls. 👉 Best time to visit: Rainy season 👉 Things to keep in mind: Be ready for a bit of walking, carry water, and wear comfortable shoes.
Hiral P — Google review
Such beautiful view and this place is for those people who likes to track because you have to travel by walk approximately 2/2.5 km from vehicle parking and as per name waterfall was not so much big but i think this was a peaceful location to enjoy. Though ,the waterfall was very little, the view was amazing must visit place 💗
Nikunj T — Google review
Good place for weekend refreshment. Waterfall and dam is nearby. Can visited with 4wheel and 2wheel as well. From parking spot to waterfall need to walk atleast 2-3 km. In dry season or low rainfall, easily can walk towards waterfall. As it is a river only during monsoon or heavy rain, could be hard to reach waterfall due to water
Bhargav S — Google review
"A beautiful and peaceful spot for nature lovers. Zanzari Waterfall offers scenic views, flowing water, and a calm vibe. Great place for a short trip or weekend getaway. Roads are decent, but best to visit in early morning or during monsoon for the best experience."
Akash V — Google review
A peaceful and scenic spot near Ahmedabad, perfect for a one-day getaway with friends or family. Best visited in monsoon or winter, but be cautious of slippery rocks and strong currents.
JIS H — Google review
A very peaceful and enjoyable place for one day trip, can spend the whole day in the nature then go there, just don’t go very near to the waterfall as there have been many accidents in the past where people have lost their lives. But if you stay safely then its a very good place to be at. Loved the vibe also you can get Maggie there as well. Village people will be there selling Maggie and tea. Avoid taking the camle ride coz it’s not that far from the parking lot.

Elaborately carved riverside temple dating from the 12th century & dedicated to Lord Shiva.
5/5 stars "Serene and peaceful! Galteshwar Mahadev Temple is a beautiful spot for spiritual rejuvenation. The temple's architecture and surroundings are mesmerizing. A must-visit for a tranquil experience."😀
Priyank P — Google review
Galteswar Shiva Temple, Dakor, Gujarat Beautiful ambience! The rocks on the river Mahi is really a place where one can enjoy the flowing waters. Located 16 km from Dakor town. It is a Shiva temple of the Solanki period. Situated on the sangam of the rivers Mahi and Galati where it is said lived Galav Muni Chandrahaas of Puranic fame. At present the lovely rocky bank of Mahi and the beautiful old Shiva temple on it has one spring of the River Galati, that constantly sprinkling water on the Shiva linga. Rich in art and architecture, it has a unique eight-sided hall. The walls have carved figures of Gods, gandharvas, humans, rishis, horse riders, elephant riders, chariots, doli and the events of the human life, that is from birth to death, all are depicted in these carvings. The temple is the Monument of National Importance and protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. The shikhara as well as the mandapa of the temple collapsed in 1908. The restoration of shikhara was completed by ASI in September 2021. The Galteshwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located at Sarnal village near Dakor in Kheda district, Gujarat, India. The 12th century temple is unique in its style and of its period because it is built in central Indian Malwa style, bhumija, without influence of Paramara architecture and with influence of Gujarati Chaulukya architecture. It has a square garbhagriha (shrine proper) as well as an octagonal mandapa (dancing hall). Two fairs are held at Galteshwar every year, on Janmashtami and on Sharad Purnima. The temple is visited by a large number of devotees on Mahashivaratri. There are a lot of eateries available near the temple. Changing rooms are also built for convenience of the devotees. ****

Visiting Galteshwar Mahadev Mandir was a truly divine experience. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is known for its beautiful architectural design and its peaceful riverside location. The ancient carvings on the temple walls reflect rich history and spiritual significance. One of the highlights of this temple is its location at the confluence of two rivers, which adds to the tranquility of the place. Galteshwar is very important in the historic tourism and religious places of Gujarat in the Thasra taluka of Kheda district. This religious place is located at the sangam (confluence) of the Mahisagar and the Galti river. This Galteshwar Mahadev, situated 10 to 12 km away from the famous Dakor’s Thakorji, has more than 25 lakh devotees and tourists visits in the year. Despite the indecisive attempts to complete the incomplete summit many times, this temple is now without the peak.

I had a wonderful time at the Balasinor Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Gujarat. It's a fantastic, highly informative place that's great for both kids and adults. Anyone who loves learning and discovering new things about dinosaurs should definitely visit. It's a must-see! My family and I really enjoyed our visit. We're very grateful to Gujarat Tourism and the Gujarat government for creating such a wonderful place.

I recently visited the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Rayoli as part of a bike riding trip with friends. The park is a great destination for school trips and families with kids. It offers a decent educational experience, showcasing the history of dinosaurs through projector displays and exhibits. There’s also a 5D theatre that aims to give an immersive experience of the dinosaur era. While it was an interesting addition, it didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of quality and excitement. One major downside was the way the actual dinosaur fossils were stored — they seemed to be kept in a rather neglected and poorly maintained area, which was disappointing considering the importance of the artifacts. Overall, it's a nice spot for a quick visit, especially for children and school groups, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of presentation and maintenance. I’d rate it around 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Mr.dipesh P — Google review
Recently visited the Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum in Balasinor, about 2.5 hours' drive from Ahmedabad, and it was an eye-opening experience. It’s incredible to see the actual fossil remains and dinosaur bones from what was once one of the largest dinosaur nesting sites in the world. The museum is well-curated, informative, and offers a great glimpse into prehistoric India. A must-visit for history buffs, families, or anyone curious about the ancient world, it’s not just educational, it’s truly awe-inspiring! 🦕✨

Kids who love dinosaurs really enjoy this place. It has amusements and a good number of statutes for various dinosaurs. It ads knowledge for those who want to learn the history. 5D show and VR were also good ( could have been better), but good considering economy ticket prices.. good for one time visit and you can spend 1.5 to 2 hours here with kids and family..
Dipak D — Google review
We visited the Balasinor Dinosaur Fossil Park just 2 days back with family, and it was an amazing experience — especially for kids! Located in Raiyoli village near Balasinor, Gujarat, this place is famously known as the "Jurassic Park of India." It is recognized as one of the world's largest dinosaur hatcheries, where over 10,000 fossilized dinosaur eggs have been discovered. Even now, excavations often uncover new fossils and remains. The park has several sections showcasing the history of dinosaurs through 3D presentations, information kiosks, and well-curated displays. The 5D show and VR experience were the best part of the visit — thoroughly enjoyable for both kids and adults! There are also food stalls, ample parking space, and souvenir shops with dinosaur-themed products for children. Entry Fee: ₹70 per person. (Other fees are there like 5D,VR etc, overall 400 rs) Overall, it's a perfect one-day outing spot for families — educational, fun, and unique. If you're visiting Gujarat, this place is definitely worth adding to your itinerary!
Pratik D — Google review
Nice place for one time visit. It's one of the three fossil parks in the world. But not maintained at all. No value of this precious fossils in open area. Museum is also very well made but not maintained like that. Washrooms are not very much cleaned. 5d theatre and chairs also not maintained. Waste of money in 5d & VR tickets.
Mehul P — Google review
Visited on 16-08-2025. Adult tickets is only 70 rupee. They have only 2 or 3 VR set and most of the time on charging and waiting period is approx 2-3 hour for that, 3D film quality is very low. In 5D theater combination of screen and seat movement have miss connection have 1-2 second delay.Tthey should improve maintenance factor.Staff need training regrade the place. They have shop at exit point, shop is okay okay type. Good place for children not for adults hang out

Honouring a Hindu goddess, this historic temple includes a ropeway & an annual pilgrimage festival.
Pavagadh Kalika Temple is truly a divine and spiritually enriching destination nestled atop the majestic Pavagadh Hill in Gujarat. Visiting this temple is not just about offering prayers—it's a journey filled with history, devotion, and natural beauty. The temple, one of the Shakti Peethas, holds immense religious significance, and you can feel the powerful energy the moment you step inside. The idol of Goddess Kalika Mata is awe-inspiring and beautifully adorned, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The surroundings are serene, offering a perfect blend of faith and tranquility. Getting to the temple can be an adventure in itself. You can either trek up the hill or take the ropeway, which is a thrilling experience and gives you breathtaking panoramic views of the landscape. The trek is steep but rewarding, with several small stalls and resting spots along the way. The ropeway is well-managed and offers a comfortable ride, especially for those who may find the trek challenging. Jai Shree Mahakali Mataji! 🙏 This place is like a heaven. During raining 🌧️ the surrounding nature is looks very beautiful. 🚫 Some devotees do not pay attention on cleaness and they throw different types of polythene bags, plastic bottles, papers etc. on foot steps. There is not too many wastage basket for waste storage. Temple authority and Gujarat government should pay attention on cleaness and waste management issues on this place. Dedicated to Goddess Mahakali, this ancient temple draws lakhs of devotees throughout the year, especially during Navratri. Perched at an altitude of about 800 meters, the temple offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The idol of Maa Mahakali is black in color and is worshipped in both fierce and benevolent forms. Devotees believe that prayers offered here are fulfilled, and many visit to seek blessings for health, protection, and prosperity. Despite the heavy footfall, the temple premises are fairly well-managed. Cleanliness, security, and facilities have improved over the years, making it more accessible for elderly pilgrims too. Shops selling prasad, souvenirs, and pooja items line the approach path. In conclusion, a visit to Shree Mahakali Mataji Temple is not just a religious pilgrimage but also a spiritual experience filled with devotion, natural beauty, and cultural heritage 🛕 Temple Facts: 1. ✨ Beautiful Temple Visit ✨ This temple is a wonderful place to visit with your family. You can reach the temple in two ways: 🚠 Cable Car Ride – Available for visitors, but tickets should be booked online at least one day in advance, especially during Navratri, as it gets very crowded. 🚶 On Foot – For those who enjoy trekking, you can also reach the temple by climbing on foot. 🚗 Reaching the Temple: On weekdays, you can drive your own vehicle directly up to the temple parking area. On weekends, private vehicles are not allowed beyond Pavagarh bus stop. You’ll need to take a bus from there to the temple base. It’s a blend of spiritual vibes and scenic beauty—perfect for a family outing! 🌸

Excellent experience - both spiritual and for the view. Current one has to climb about 300-400 steps to reach the temple despite taking the ropeway. But it appears that this ropeway is being extended to almost the top just near the temple and only a few steps will remain to be climbed. The darshan was easy, the view mesmerising and the experience elevating.

Mountains
Pavagadh Hills is a rugged peak that may have been fortified in the 8th century. It boasts a circa-10th-century complex of Hindu temples, including the important Kalikamata Temple dedicated to Kali, the goddess of destruction. The summit offers stunning views and attracts throngs of pilgrims who can ascend via a two to three-hour trail or take a shuttle halfway up from along the Champaner citadel's south wall before catching a cable car.
Pavagadh Hills Shaktipeeth - Review Visiting Pavagadh Hills is truly a memorable experience for any spiritual traveler or adventure seeker. The journey combines spirituality, nature, and a touch of thrill with the ropeway ride. The ropeway facility is fairly good and earns a solid 4 out of 5. The cable cars are modern, safe, and offer a scenic ride over lush green forests and rocky hills. However, the waiting area at the ropeway station could be much better organized. During weekends or holidays, queues get long, and there’s hardly any proper waiting zone to relax while standing in line. So, patience is required! Important tip: Even if you take the ropeway, remember, you still have to climb around 500–600 steps to reach the main temple. So, come prepared with comfortable footwear and stay hydrated. But once you reach the top, the views are simply breathtaking. The panoramic sight of the surrounding hills and forests makes the entire climb worth it. And when you finally reach the sanctum for Mataji’s darshan, all your tiredness magically disappears. There’s an unexplainable peace and divine energy at the temple that refreshes you instantly. For food, the temple trust runs an Annakshatra dining hall near the temple, offering satvik Gujarati bhojan for just ₹20 per person. It’s simple, tasty, and feels heavenly after the tiring journey. If you have some extra time, you can visit Dudhiya Lake which is located near the temple. It’s a small, peaceful spot but frankly, it’s just okay compared to the stunning natural beauty you witness on the hills. Additional tips: • Ropeway tickets can be booked both online and offline, but if your plan is fixed, book online. Online booking allows direct access from the parking area, saving time and energy. • Parking charges for a car are ₹100 for the first 6 hours, which is reasonable given the facilities provided. ⸻ Pavagadh Shaktipeeth - A Brief History Pavagadh Hill is one of the 51 major Shaktipeethas across India and holds immense religious significance. According to mythology, it is believed that the right toe of Goddess Sati fell here, making it a sacred pilgrimage site for devotees of the Goddess. The temple atop the hill is known as the Mahakali Mata Temple, and it has been a revered spiritual center for centuries. The ancient architecture, combined with the raw energy of the place, reminds visitors of the temple’s timeless importance. It’s said that many kings and rulers of Gujarat and surrounding regions sought blessings here before major battles or important events. The blend of mythological importance, scenic beauty, and the challenging yet fulfilling journey to reach Mataji makes Pavagadh Shaktipeeth a must-visit destination.

The experience of seeing Mataji was very nice. There are about 2000 steps. If you don't want to climb the steps, there is also a ropeway. However, if it is a holiday, there is a long line for it. The rest is a very nice and religious place.

A prominent hill station and pilgrimage site, Pavagadh Hill Rises to about 800 meters, it is a part of the Aravalli Ranges and is known for the ancient Kalika Mata Temple one of the 51 sakhtipeethas at its summit, dedicated to Goddess Kali. The hills hold historical significance with ruins of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring forts, mosques, and stepwells from the 8th to 16th centuries. The area was once the capital of the Chauhan Rajputs and later ruled by the Solankis and Mughals. Hathni Mata Temple is a serene and picturesque destination, especially during the monsoon season. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts, offering a tranquil retreat from the fast-paced urban life. The temple of Lord Shiva nearby adds to the spiritual ambiance. While it may not be advisable to visit during the monsoon due to lack of waterfalls, visiting in other seasons offers a quiet and peaceful experience. The friendly locals add to the welcoming atmosphere.
Totally recommended place for hiking lovers. But never go there as a single person, always go with a group, or minimum 3 people. The reason for not going alone is, the place is very spooky, initially during the day I am very sure you would not feel it, but as the evening hours start you would feel it, and trust me when I say that. Also the rocks might hurt you when you go in the waterfall beside the temple, so always wear your footwear while going in the water. BRIEF OF THE TEMPLE: The temple stone is in the shape of an elephant, and therefore it is called hathni mata. Beside the holy stone is another stone in the shape of a turtle, all of it is made from a single stone. NOTE: The waterfall is not available for 12 months, only in the monsoon season you will be able to see the rushing flow of water and green land else it's just rocks and trees, good for mountaineers

The waterfalls are good! Beautiful experience. However the services are pathetic! The toilets are dirty! Wonder why would government not create infrastructure at picnic spots with such nice beautiful waterfall... Roads are narrow! During monsoon plan trip to start your journey back home by 2pm as narrow roads and soft land could cause issues for car getting stuck. 2 hrs is good enough time! Must go but with group

Nice water fall during monsoon season. Have hindu Shivling and Hathani mata under waterfall. Must visit place. The place have some sharp rocks and some area have deep downfalls so be careful with bear foot. The water level is very low in most of waterfall so it's considered safe and good place.

I think off monsoon season is not the beat choice to visit this place. I visited this place in feb 2021, there id no waterfall but he place was very quiet and peacefull. Also got the chance to see mataji very closely and to click a lot of pics. Local peoples are also very friendly and helpful. Our route was started from pavagarh , so the road was passing through a jungle , which scared my wife but i was having too much fun.We are planning ti visit again in monsoon season, then i will update you again.

Bhartrihari Gufa (Caves) is a famous spiritual and historical site in Ujjain, associated with the great sage Maharishi Bhartrihari, the elder brother of King Vikramaditya of Ujjain. He became a disciple of Guru Gorakhnath (Nath sect) and spent the rest of his life in meditation in these caves. Inside, there are small shrines dedicated to Bhartrihari, Guru Gorakhnath, and other Nath yogis. The atmosphere is peaceful, attracting saints, sadhus, and devotees throughout the year. Bhartrihari Gufa (caves) in Ujjain is a sacred cave complex on the shores of the River Kshipra, named after the legendary King Bhartrihari who is said to have meditated there for 12 years after renouncing his kingdom. The site features traditional rock-cut architecture, a tomb (samadhi) of the sage, a dhuni (fire for yoga), and is a peaceful spot for religious and historical tourism, though the narrow passages may not be suitable for everyone.

The ancient cave structure stands as a testament to the lives of people in the past, before the development of modern construction technologies. Under what circumstances did one of the great emperors encounter Saint Goraknath, receive his blessings, and learn valuable lessons about the superiority of a yogi's power, which encompasses the ability to both kill and give life, unlike the limitations of a king's authority?
