Saw Anne of Green Gables this past weekend. The interpretation was incredible; keeping in line with the main story but adding a new, modern twist. As well, there were lots of comedic and heartfelt moments. The acting was brilliant and the set perfectly done to reflect each time period. The Avon Theatre is a beautiful theatre, with comfortable seating, washroom facilities that were plentiful and moved quickly. There is also a good-size shop onsite if you are looking for show merchandise.

The acoustics, stage lighting and effects were amazing. The theatre is beautiful. The only complaint that I have was that because of the remote location by the river, it is difficult for seniors with mobility issues to have a choice of places to eat. Therefore the theatre’s restaurant has a monopoly on food and was over priced.

Pretty awesome park overall. There are lots of geese and ducks that are friendly, too. Designated baseball and soccer fields, lots of benches, and gazebos. Good parking and a skate park as well. Overall, it's the best city park I've been to.

I cannot explain how happy visiting here makes me feel. The pecans and cashews are to die for. The spices are beyond reasonable and affordable. Amish popcorn turned me into a popcorn snob. The staff are very helpful. The variety of everything is insane. Store is organized and always clean.

Be prepared, you need an entire day to fully absorb this mall, it's absolutely enormous. The staff are so friendly and have so much energy. You have the option to take a basket or hand off items to staff to have held behind the front counter, leaving you free to shop with both hands. The three levels are absolutely full, hidden gems everywhere.

Great little theatre. We saw 'The songs of John Denver' in June. Unfortunately the seating area is up a long set of stairs. There is an elevator, but prepare to wait when there is crowd .

I recently saw Misery at St. Jacob’s Playhouse and really enjoyed it! The acoustics were excellent, and the intimate size of the theatre means there isn’t a bad seat in the house. I was especially impressed by the clever set design. The way they created the different rooms of the house was so well done. It was also really crafty how they managed Paul’s movement around the stage in his wheelchair during the scenes. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more shows here. If you want to escape the chaos of heading into Toronto and avoid the overpriced tickets of most Mirvish shows, St. Jacob’s Playhouse is a fantastic alternative - great performances, reasonable prices, and a charming local atmosphere.

Perfect Family Spot with Something for Everyone Victoria Park in Kitchener is a fantastic place for families! The playground is well-maintained and has plenty of space for kids to play. My children love the swings and slides, and there’s even a small lake where you can rent paddle boats during the warmer months. The walking trail around the lake is peaceful and offers beautiful views, especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s a perfect blend of nature and recreational activities. Whether you’re there to enjoy a picnic, take a leisurely walk, or simply let the kids play, Victoria Park has something for everyone. Highly recommend it!

Today my wife and I went for lunch at Ramblin' Road Brewery Farm. This was my first visit to the brew farm. Thank you to a lot of you posting about their food. Mark Williams for giving me his insight on the food and beer, and Daniel Eynon for his insight from a business stand point why he supports them. I would also like to give a special thank you to our server Brooklyn. She was an absolute pleasure. Skilled, knowledgeable and efficient. She really helped make our overall experience even more wonderful. My wife and I started with a flight, wings, onion ring and their house chips and dip. I had the flight as she was driving and I wanted to try and see if I even can handle the taste of beer or not (I prefer whiskey, scotch, dark rum). Brooklyn helped me pick out a selection to try based on my non existent knowledge and likeness of beer lol. She however helped me learn the parts of beer I don't like and recommended 6 samples to try based off of that. I tasted a sip of each beer. Ranked them in order and by the time I was done my meal there. I had finished 5 out of 6 of the samples. The red was the only one I didn't finish. The wings were crispy and tender. Their house mild sauce made with beer(Roost PurebRED BBQ sauce). was flavourful with smokey notes that weren't overpowering. Everything was well balanced and I wish I ordered more. The onion rings were spot on. They're what I want when ordering an onion ring. The Chips & Dip..... Now listen. I have smashed metric tons of chips and dip in my life time. When I tell you to try the chip dip there. I mean bribe them for extra and thank me later. If I find this on a store shelf. All other brands are done. I want vats of that dip. On top of having one of the best kettle cooked chips on the market. This dip joins forces. Lays and Ruffles better watch their backs. Norfolk's very own is coming out swinging. Oh and if you have any extra dip you don't want. I'll gladly take it off your hands. For our main. We tried a pepperoni pizza, the grilled cheese of the day, soup of the day, beer bread, Red Pepper Express Burger and Ragin Bull corned beef on a bun. My wife loves red pepper jelly. So this burger was her first choice. She let me have a bite. It's a solid well rounded burger. Balance of flavours and textures and my wife had dill pickle seasoned fries with it. She was in her glory. I tried the Ragin Bull. This sandwich from reading it gave off some Katz Deli(New York) vibes. This definitely had that traditional NY deli corned beef sandwich soul to it. I got mine with dijon mustard on it and was very happy. This was not what you might remember growing up. The soup of the day was cream of mushroom soup. I paired it with an order of the beer bread. ate what I could of it as by this time I was getting full. The Grilled cheese was mind blowing. The balance of apple butter with, chicken, bacon, brie, caramelized onion and balsamic vinegar. This needs to be a permanent menu item. Then I managed to try a slice of pizza. I can't do it the justice it deserves as by this time I was so full. I drank beer I didn't know I would like and wish I had 2 more stomachs to try more food and beer lol. But that slice was good. If I ordered beer and pizza while sitting there with friends. That pizza would hit the spot for sure. I also had to hit up the store there as well. Had to get more chips, peanuts and some apparel to wear and represent as many great local businesses as I can.

We had a blast as a family walking throughout the conservatory and inspecting all the bugs. My daughter had so much fun. We ordered food at the cafe and my daughter loved the park just outside too. Staff was friendly and able to help if you needed it. There is a cute gift shop inside as well. Try to book ahead, they could sell out and if they do they will not take walk ins. If you look online before you go and there are many open tickets you might be fine but why chance it?

Came here to see one of the best productions of Jesus Christ Superstar — absolutely incredible. The cast, staging, and sound were top-notch. This venue consistently hosts excellent theatre. A fantastic place to enjoy live performances!

I had the opportunity to visit the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph on a weekday, and it was a truly serene and awe-inspiring experience. The basilica’s stunning Gothic Revival architecture, intricate stained glass windows, and beautifully detailed interiors make it a must-see for anyone visiting Guelph. The quiet weekday atmosphere allowed me to fully appreciate the peaceful ambiance and the grandeur of this historic church. Whether you’re there to pray, admire the craftsmanship, or learn about its history, the basilica offers a sense of calm and reflection that’s hard to find elsewhere. A beautiful landmark and a testament to timeless architecture – highly recommended for history, art, and architecture enthusiasts.

Visited the homestead on Family Day 2025 and my family and I had a great time. Brian, the tour guide, was informative and very knowledgeable. He had an answer for every question we had. He also was very patient with our two year old son who didn’t grasp the hands off concept at first. We visited right after a bad winter storm and the pathways around the property were very clear and safe.

This park is one of the most beautiful places we often visit. It’s a lovely lakeside park, located about an hour and a half drive from Toronto, but totally worth the trip. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall, and the lake is absolutely gorgeous, offering a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights of this park is the great walking trails, perfect for a family day out. Whether you’re looking to take a stroll or spend a relaxing day having a picnic, this place is ideal. There’s plenty of space to sit, walk, and enjoy nature. We always have a great time here and would definitely recommend it for a memorable day outdoors.

We had an amazing Thursday afternoon at the Twin valley zoo in Brantford. I honestly wasn’t expecting much when we initially decided to visit. I assumed it would be a few “local” animals in a small area and not much else. I couldn’t have been more wrong! The zoo was absolutely fantastic and we had such a blast for my daughter second birthday. The animals range from deer, pigs to TIGERS! And Grey Wolves?!? The animals have huge enclosures and appear to be really well taken care of. The sheer amount and variety of animals was incredible and I can say with complete honesty that we had more fun than we do at the Toronto zoo. The zoo is family owned and has been for decades, we learned. We had such a lovely day that we fully intent on coming back again soon. It’s just a shame it took my 30 years to find this place!

We come here for the special events and it never disappoints. Everyone there is so lovely, welcoming and friendly from all the servers and hosts to the lady in charge Heather who is the heart of the place. The food is phenomenal and it is always so much fun. Can't wait to go back again!

The walk around the lake is absolutely lovely — the boardwalk trail makes it an easy and scenic loop, perfect for all ages. The lake itself is peaceful and surrounded by forest, which makes for a relaxing stroll. One of the highlights was the tour of the Longhouses. It was both educational and fascinating to learn about Indigenous history and culture in such an interactive setting. The interpretive signage was informative without being overwhelming. The visitor center is small but very charming — a great little stop with helpful staff and interesting displays. I also noticed quite a few families enjoying the area, including parents with strollers, so the trails are definitely kid-friendly and accessible. Highly recommend for a day out in nature with a bit of culture and history added in!

What a great museum. First time coming, and I really enjoyed my time there. Full of beautiful historic planes and equipment. I appreciate the volunteers and people who work there, doing what they do to preserve and maintain these amazing machines and honoring the men and women of the time and what they did. I look forward to returning on Canada Day when the Lancaster fires up. We took the tour led by Phil, very enjoyable. He was entertaining and full of knowledge. Thank you.

Beautiful, historic place to see. The tour lasted 45-60 minutes and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of this place and the people who lived here along with servants. The tour brings you back into 1830 with 42 rooms, original furniture, pictures and clothing.. Amazing how things were 'done' 200 years ago, before the industrial revolution. The castle was full of servants and everyone knew their duties. The time very well spent...

Beautiful facility! We visited on a weekend and decided last minute to go—buying tickets on-site was quick and hassle-free with no wait time. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially as we had dogs with us and were figuring out where we could go. Clear signage made it easy to know which areas were off-limits for pets, and our dogs loved exploring the outdoor spaces. Overall, such a wonderful and relaxing activity—I’d highly recommend it!

Peaceful place! Entry - $9 per person! Perfect place to spend weekend with your homies! Got Volleyball nets to play around. Don’t get fooled by the Lakeview, there is no lakeview, it’s just marketing. But overall a really good and peaceful experience.

Had an amazing first kayaking experience at the park! I was nervous at first, but the staff were incredibly helpful and made me feel at ease. The lake was calm and perfect for beginners. Ended up having so much fun—can’t wait to go again!

Really great selectin of shoes! If you can't find what you're looking for at Foot Locker, it's probably here with rare limited selections! They staff here are all very nice and friendly. They give quite good recommendations based on what your desires are and are fairly knowledgeable of the brand/inventory they own. Well organized with nice seating arrangement as well.

Jack Darling Park is a wonderful family-friendly spot with a beautiful beach that kids absolutely love. The water is shallow and safe for children, but it is best to bring proper swimming gear, especially for the little ones. The park has a splash pad, a large playground with rides, and plenty of picnic areas with BBQ facilities, perfect for a fun summer day. The walking and biking trails are excellent for a relaxed stroll or a scenic ride. It does get quite crowded on weekends and holidays, and parking can be tricky, so arriving early is a smart idea. Overall, it is a lively, welcoming park that offers plenty to keep both kids and adults happy.

A hidden gem in Mississauga! Rattray Marsh Conservation Area is one of the most peaceful and beautiful natural spots in the GTA. It’s a perfect place for a walk if you want to reconnect with nature without driving hours out of the city. The boardwalk trails are well-maintained and wind through lush forest, wetlands, and open marshland. Being here feels like you’re far from the city. There are also scenic lookouts and benches along the way to sit and enjoy the view. It’s great for photography, casual walks, and even just clearing your mind. Parking is free but limited, so going early is a good idea on weekends. Also, no bikes are allowed on the boardwalk, which helps preserve the habitat and keeps the area quiet and clean. Overall, Rattray Marsh is a must-visit if you enjoy nature trails and want a quiet escape close to home.

It's a short half-hour drive from Niagra vacation spots and well worth it. Great tasting experience, solid selection with good variety, and a friendly informed staff. I'd make this stop on any trip to Toronto.

Chef Matt McDowell put together a phenomenal brunch menu. The prices were very reasonable and the Lobster Bene was made with claw meat and would rival anything found in Toronto higher end brunch bistros. The scone was absolutely incredible and the blueberry compote accompanying was delicious. I’d go back just for this scone! The stone fruit (free-stone peach) salad was also fabulous! I’ve been to these grounds before for weddings and it really is quite beautiful in late summer. I’m not a fan of Peninsula Ridge wines, but I would highly recommend this restaurant experience. The staff is on point and the historic house serving as the restaurant is very classy with private patio dining nooks all around. Well done Matt and team!
