We LOVE coming here with our dogs. The patio is beautiful with an amazing view. We enjoy getting flights and snacks and on dog days then even have snacks for the dogs. The staff are so friendly.

Absolutely stunning location, the staff were knowledgeable and attentive. The kibbles were delish. And the wine, something for everyone's palate. Came home with a dozen bottles 😂Thanks for the great afternoon, The Kovacs

Not worthiet to stop by!! We ordered charcuterie and graize board. 90% was just bread. Staled bread. Cheese and meat scarce and badly selection. Vine was ok. I will recommend the marquette and and frontenac 2023
M K — Google review
Sampling some local wines and cheeses on a beautiful patio overlooking a vast vineyard ans watching the leaves turn was a beautiful experience. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely recommend thisvasca day trip for our guests (only 26 min from us).
Rita B — Google review
We stayed in their cabin for 3 nights, and it was great! There were so many accommodations such as; keurig coffee pods, tea, and condiments. There was lots of natural light which was a bonus. The view of the vineyard was beautiful. The cabin was clean and very comfortable, the sleeping and living area was decorated very nice. Would reserve again when visiting the area. The host was very friendly and answered all of our questions! We also checked out the winery, the staff was friendly and the wine was great! We also brought wine to take home.
Aaron — Google review
An update on this wonderful boutique winery. Shannon is an excellent hostess, attentive, and customer oriented. The wines are quite good! Petite Pearl a must try. If you are bypassing this winery, just outside Seaforth, on your way to Lake Huron or Goderich you are missing out!
Al G — Google review
Another hidden gem. This is a beautiful place with a great selection of wines (quality not quantity). We had a flight of red and white wines and all of them were outstanding. Also, the charcuterie board had superb varieties even if you are a vegetarian/vegan. Finally, the live music was enjoyable and the scenery was beautiful. Highly recommended!

Awesome afternoon drive with a stop at Maelstrom Winery. We had our dog with us and no issues. Actually they brought a bowl of fresh water for her. Great Canadian wine. Nice relaxing visit. Great outdoor seatings.

Kincardine Lighthouse and Museum

Sights & Landmarks
Lighthouses
The Kincardine Lighthouse and Museum is a historic beacon with scenic views, offering a glimpse into the maritime past of Kincardine. The octagonal wooden lighthouse, once vital to the local salt shipping industry, now stands as an iconic sight in Bruce Peninsula. Visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of the harbor and explore the small yet informative museum filled with local history. While wishing for more interactive exhibits, guests appreciate friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Beautifully situated lighthouse. We arrived late to visit the interior but well worth a stop to admire from the outside and watch a sunset. There is also the phantom piper in July and August at sunset with the stories and info in the photos below.
Cynthia D — Google review
This is the first lighthouse that I've been able to climb to the top. The last set of stairs are just like climbing up a ladder. A great view of the marina and lake. The tour guide was informative with historical stories, tales of former residents and answered all of our questions. A quick pitstop while walking around the town.
Walk A — Google review
Though I missed the season for experiencing the interior of the lighthouse museum, I still enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the items on the outside, since I had never seen a real lighthouse. There's a great view, along with multiple narrative markers outside.
Penny S — Google review
The staff on duty was very friendly. Beautiful view.

It is well worth visiting, i recommend using the guides, it is only $5.00 per person, easy to climb, you are not climbing all at once, floor by floor ,it does demand special attention, when you are coming down.my wife and I ,are 77 years old and we want right to the top, just take the information from your guide when you come down
Ferdinand B — Google review
A Historic Beacon with Scenic Views! Visited the Kincardine Lighthouse and Museum and was thoroughly charmed by its historic appeal. The climb to the top rewards with panoramic views of the harbour. The museum is small but packed with interesting local history. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Only wished there were more interactive exhibits. Nonetheless, a great spot for photography and learning about Kincardine's maritime past. Would recommend a visit!
Asten K — Google review
By the time we got there was after the sunset but I think this is a great place to see a sunset. There are two piers but they do not let people go there. The beach is closed and no boats there yet. It is sad that the regular people can not enjoy anything but those that has cottages with front beach they are allowed.

Inverhuron Provincial Park

Park
Nature & Parks
Inverhuron Provincial Park, situated along the picturesque shores of Lake Huron north of Kincardine, offers a fascinating blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The park boasts three campgrounds with numerous well-shaded and private sites for camping enthusiasts. Visitors praise the exceptional staff for their helpfulness and attentiveness, ensuring a memorable stay. The park's pristine environment, including immaculate bathrooms and showers, reflects the staff's dedication to maintaining cleanliness.
We were camping 🏕. Our tents were close to the lake spot #159. We could hear the lake waves at night. The main beach is about a 15-minute walk, there are plenty of washrooms 🚻 all around the camping ground equipped with showers and are very clean. The park itself is very clean and organized. First time camper here, I made it through the nights, sleeping in a tent. There are cabins for rental as well. People also had their trailers.
Elena R — Google review
The park itself is stunning. Trailer sites are large and private in most areas. Lots of beautiful walking/biking/hiking trails. Beach is nice, but we found there to be more garbage this time than there has been in years past. Beach pictured is not the main swimming beach.
Yvonne H — Google review
Absolutely loved this park! Site was very private. Park staff were very friendly and water was beautiful. Didn’t get to enjoy the beach due to weather. But did enjoy a short walking trail near campsite. Be sure to bring lots of cord as the hydro is far from site. Will be booking again next year!
Dairian S — Google review
I just got home today from Inverhuron. It was my first time there and I went alone. I was nervous at first about going alone but it was the best decision. I stayed in one of the rustic cabins, which I have stayed in once before at another park, and it was amazing. I didn't want to come home. The weather this weekend couldn't have been better and no bugs which made it even better. I had the most amazing view of the sunset right from my site. I had a fox stroll up on my site every night at sunset too. The trails were easy to follow. And the road where the cabins are is for the cabins only and is a dead end which makes it very peaceful. I had such a great time that I booked back for October. I can't wait. I am an avid camper and I think this might be one of my favorite parks.
Nola V — Google review
Great camping experience over 3 nights/4 days. No big complaints really. Good access to potable water and washrooms. We couldn't believe how clean the washrooms were kept - kudos to the crew responsible for that! Decent enough privacy at the sites and things were fairly quiet overall. The park has great walking trails and a decent beach, even for the dogs. The ground within the sites themselves is gravel, so it's not great if you're staking anything down. Something to be aware of... while our campsite's access to power wasn't terribly far away, it did seem like some sites would have needed quite a long extension cord to reach theirs. NOTE: We did not stay in the cabins - just checked them out on our way by. They look nice! Our stay was in Gunn Point.
Adam B — Google review
Loved our 3 night stay at Inverhuron in late May 2024. We were lucky enough to get a great site from which we could access a hiking/biking trail and the water. Most sites we saw were on the small side, but we loved the privacy of the woods all around (just watch out for poison ivy!) Beautiful beach, and even a dog area at the beach!
Alison M — Google review
First time at Inverhuron did not disappoint. Beautiful views, quiet and well spaced campsites, and clean washrooms. Rangers were around regularly to ensure compliance with all campground rules. The large sandy beach was lovely, even though the water is still very cold in May. Only negative comment would be that, like others have mentioned, the sites are a bit rocky. Bring a good mallet and strong tent pegs. That being said, cannot wait to return next year!
Joey L — Google review
Amazing beach with white sand and less rock in some areas. Blue water, cold given it is July. The picnic area has bbq grills and a big shade, but it is recommended to have own grill. Park entry is $18 for a day use. Lots of parking places. The park has a huge campsite. Picnic area is a 2 min driving distance from the beach area.

MacGregor Point Provincial Park

Mentioned on
20 lists
Park
Nature & Parks
MacGregor Point Provincial Park is a diverse and picturesque park located along the shores of Lake Huron. It offers various amenities such as a visitor center, trails, campgrounds, beach, playground, and pet area. The park is open year-round with some campsites available during winter. The Algonquin campground features full-service campsites and yurts that are open in winter for activities like snowshoeing.
This is by far one of the nicest provincial parks for families. The park is always clean, the staff are always friendly and helpful, the beach is amazing and there is a playground right beside the beach for the kids to enjoy. This park has really nice trails to hike or bike and aren't aggressively challenging, so good for little ones as well. It can at times get a little windy due to the park being right on Lake Huron, but for the most part the sites are tucked away in the forest and offer fairly decent privacy from others. The sites are decent size, some larger and easier to access than a few interestingly angled sites, but good none the less. The bathrooms were spotless, and the showers were clean and had great water pressure which is always nice. My family and I have been to this park multiple times over the years and I still am so surprised on how nice this park is, how easy it is to get to (we're 2 hrs away) and how beautiful the scenery is. I highly recommend this park to anyone with kids who like to explore, ride bikes and go to the beach. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻🫶🏻
Jonny S — Google review
I recently stayed at MacGregor camping ground, and the location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by many trails and offering beautiful views. The campsites are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and the best part is, there is enough privacy between sites for a relaxing experience. The restrooms were clean and they had hot showers, and a well-organized camp store that had everything we needed. We enjoyed hiking and stargazing at night (we were lucky to get clear sky, so were able to gaze at the beautiful galaxy on a quiet beach). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too. You gotta follow the camping rules to have a pleasant experience! Definitely on my list of best camping grounds. Its a perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind in nature while still having access to great amenities.
Himaxi P — Google review
We had a very nice experience in the park. The camping sites are well distributed. There are potable water taps along the roads and comfort stations with proper washrooms (I avoid vault toilets at all cost). There are nice trails and beaches. There is also a park store that offers a variety of products for the campers, including ice cream for the kids. Good place for a quiet get away.
Nankar V — Google review
Beautiful spot. Love the biking trails, the sunset point was beautiful and the campsite privacy was lovely! The site we had was very gravol (which made pegging down the tent harder) but next time will pick a different site. There was hardly any mosquitos which was surprising! There are so many spots along the trail to wander out and explore the waters edge ! Playground is great through we only used it for 15 minutes one day. The beach wasn't great (slimy and squishy- which is to be expected in a lake) but the water was warm and shallow for young kids so that's a plus! Lots of wildlife -many frogs, turtles and water snakes! The visitors centre was awesome , and the road and frog class we took was run well informative and fun for the kids. The store had lots of stuff and the ice cream was delicious. All and all a wonderful stay, we will be back!
Nicole D — Google review
I have enjoyed the two different times I have camped here as well as the day visit. Good size park has alot to offer for family's, couples and children. The park is full of beauty and many boardwalks. The park is also very trail friendly allowing you to get pretty much anywhere in the park without a car. They do have a park store that sells ice cream and basic supplies as well as wood and ice. Port elgin and south Hampton are a stones throw away, where they offer many restaurants, grocery stores and have other beaches to discover and most likely will have something to do for everyone. I would recommend this park as well as ill be definitely coming back to discover more I may of missed
A S — Google review
We spent a weekend camping here. Had the most privacy of any provincial park campsite we've ever been to. Felt like you were alone in the woods. Facilities were clean and well marked. The sunset from the beach was beautiful. The staff we all super friendly and eager to help. Didn't do much in the park as we spent most of the weekend at the grotto, but still a fantastic place.
Brent — Google review
An awesome, spacious, well maintained provincial park with beautiful campsites and regularly cleaned comfort stations. The ice cream at the park store is a must try! It's honestly one of the best ice creams I have ever had. Try the "Espresso Flake" and "Peanut Butter Chocolate" flavours, you'd go back for more the next day! The visitors centre is also beautiful, with live turtle and snake tanks, as well as interactive activities. The "therapy trail" is so calming! We'd definitely come back!
Chowliya J — Google review
A nice family friendly camping provincial park. A clean park with plenty of campsites. A nice bike route that goes from one end of the park to the other. A well protected beach cove with clear water and a big playground nearby. A few hiking trails, from boardwalk paths to rough forest terrain. There's a small visitors center to explore. The park store is well located in the middle of the park.

Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre

Art museum
The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is a two-story museum that offers a comprehensive look at the region's history and heritage. The exhibits cover the significance of the Ojibwe people, local involvement in WWI and WWII, as well as indigenous beading. The museum also features a General Store Exhibit, one-room schoolhouse, and local landowner's house outside the building. Additionally, it houses the Bruce County Archives for research purposes.
This is a Great place to take young kids to explore and have a good time for a few hours, specially if you are visiting the area on holidays. You find various things in there from Canadian history to local information. There are interactive things for kids to play with such as trains and computer based games. There is parking on site and easy to get to. There are different types of passes so check online and see what exhibits are available and prices. You can also have events such as birthdays and meetings. Check it out and let the kids have a great time.
Mehrdad I — Google review
This Museum is incredibly well thought out and curated. We went today with my parents and 6 year old and she was so engaged. The museum is laid out in a chronological way- beginning of life with fossil discovery, indigenous settlements and ways of life with interactive miniature dioramas. Then, the gallery had a section on pioneer life complete with a tiny log cabin and original whole tree canoes, and a large nautical section laid out as an actual ship deck, complete with a mast, sails, cannons and a realistic virtual simulation to shoot and aim a cannon. The railway section with miniature models and pioneer way of life sections were really engaging and interactive. She especially loved the general store with fruits and veg and weaving looms. We also really enjoyed the original restored log cabin home and school house buildings outside with original furniture and decor.
Tina R — Google review
Didn’t expect it to be as enjoyable as it was!! The museum does a great job walking you through the country’s history. Wasnt crowded at all, and the exhibits really showed and taught about the Indigenous peoples. Definitely recommending this hidden gem.
Ahnaf A — Google review
Excellent museum, affordable, and very interactive. My 2 year old enjoyed the true and false exhibit (a lot of things to see and feel), playing with the trains, the water table and walking around the deck of the boat.
Caelen R — Google review
An awesome small museum with many great exhibits in a beautiful building. When we were there we saw exhibits about living in the 1800s, a model railroad of the real world towns around us, a replica of a sailing vessel with an interactive cannon display, WW1 and WW2, the geological history of the area, first nations people, and a series of necklaces designed by an artist each themed to a famous Canadian (including a necklace of musical notes for an opera singer). After seeing all the exhibits we went into the archives where the archivist brought out some of the original deeds for a farm owned by my great great great grandfather so my son could see them and hold a piece of our family history in his hands.
Michael ( — Google review
Excellent museum with 3 floors of interesting exhibits, artifacts, informative interactive displays and a dedicated Archives section. Such rich history in one place. Well worth the entrance fee. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and outdoor patio overlooking Fairy Lake to sit and relax. There’s are also tables and chairs in the basement with a small selection of books to browse through. Clean washrooms on each floor and comfortable couches scattered throughout the museum which was helpful as we had two seniors in our group. 😄 There’s so much to see, read and explore, I would come again. Even after spending a a few hours visiting today, I could easily spend a few more hours to see more of everything in greater detail. Very impressed with this museum.

Me and my BFF went to the tent sale. Be prepared to stand in line. Selection was great, as were the prices. Spent the wait in line talking to many avid crafters. I'll definitely go again next year.

The customer service is horrible. They do not answer their phone. Upon arriving and finding the store empty except for the two employees, not being greeted or even acknowledge, I left extremely disappointed. I waisted my time and gas, I drove for over an hour from out of town, only to find a poor selection and two employees who seemed annoyed that I bothered them. I will never return.

Store is ok. Factory is disgusting as the people too. Supervisors are garbage and the management aswell. Only thing the place is good for is money even then it's not worth it.

All the crochet lovers must visit this place. That has a huge range of varieties and colors. If you love to work with velvet yarn, then you will feel like heaven. There are so many color options. Amazing colors have never been seen before. Their scrap yarn bins are also worth. I mean, really, for 10 cents, you get to pick up your choice of yarn preloved work. It's quite a drive for me, but it's totally worth it. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They manage their website and social pages very well and always answer the phone calls. The place is so well kept. All the credit goes to the staff who maintain it so well, and we always feel so welcoming.

Sulphur Spring Conservation Area

This place is amazing. Lots of parking on site, the hike takes about ans hour and is under 5 km. There is a beautiful pond and crystal clear creek that runs through the property. They have a feel small ponds that have massive rainbow trout in them. We stood and watched them swim around, so enjoyable. The main attraction to the conservation is the Sulphur pond. It's absolutely amazing, we've never seen anything like that. A must see if in the area.

Love this place and wished I had more time to go for a hike! Just watched the birds swimming around and enjoyed a breath of fresh air. So much parking, garbage and picnic benches. Love how tall the trees are as well. Can’t wait to return and see the trails
Melissa P — Google review
This was a very nice place to visit with the family. Many ponds with large trout, a climbing gym for kids with a slide, swings, and multiple walking paths. The springs themselves were beautiful. When I went the smell was quite okay but I've been told that at other times it smells more strongly. What does it smell like? Well, sulphur isn't a particularly delicious smell. Regardless it is worth the visit, a very unique location.
Mitchell G — Google review
Beautiful conservation area, the swans were so fun to see for our little as well as spotting all the frogs throughout the path and at the springs Great park for the kids too
Charlanne C — Google review
Good time to spend here about 1-2 hours in garden. Walk for sulphur springs about 1.4 km or 12-15 minutes. Love this place because of bird species and clam atmosphere.
Amit K — Google review
Decent playground for kiddos but pretty run down. There was only one lonely swan and he had a path worn from his nest to the water. Lots of shade and picnic areas though. Great if you just need a pitstop to stretch your legs or take a break during a long journey.
Nicole G — Google review
They have 2 nice small parks for the kids to play on. They have some picnic tables around. Very beautiful trails to walk on. It has a nice salmon pond. But the spring itself is kind of cool but underwhelming. I've seen some really nice springs. But a nice place to hang out for a day. They also have a safety village.

Drayton Festival Theatre Drayton

Great little theatre. We saw 'The songs of John Denver' in June. Unfortunately the seating area is up a long set of stairs. There is an elevator, but prepare to wait when there is crowd .
Robert L — Google review
The show "Grease" was very well done. Not a mediocre voice in the entire cast! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my seat was at the far edge of the stage so I ended up sitting a bit sideways ...which got uncomfortabe and the arm of the seat was sticking into my back. There should be more angle on outside seats
SteveH — Google review
Unique venue, anyone with mobility issues will want orchestra level or go early to wait for the elevator which is very, very slow. One set of small bathrooms for the whole venue, long waits. Cash only for 50/50 draw. Debit accepted at concessions. Great staff. Climate was very comfortable, as it was a very hot day.
K G — Google review
Great small local theatre. Only 13 mins away from our small rural town, Arthur. Old historic building. Great theatre. Old, classic set up. Usually entertaining shows. For adults and occasionally for kids. Price? Affordable. Free parking. No major crowds, no traffic. Drayton chop House a great place for a local beef burger or appetizer, a beer or glass of wine before the show. Better than go out down town Toronto.
River's D — Google review
Wonderful small venue. Staff could not have been more helpful. Had a great wheelchair bathroom, big enough for an assistant as well. Free parking and site and a other a block away.

What an incredible experience! Went to Drayton Theatre for first time and absolutely loved it. The staff, environment and experience was outstanding. Saw the play Grease and we were all up dancing at the end. I cant wait for my next experience at the Drayton Theatre.

The shows at Drayton are always entertaining and well done and The box office staff and volunteers are as proffesional and proficient at their parts in the show as the actors, directors and stage hands. A gem of a theatre group right in our back yard.

Nestled just south of Owen Sound, the Inglis Falls Conservation Area is a stunning destination that showcases an impressive 18-meter waterfall. This picturesque spot is enchanting year-round, with winter transforming the falls into a breathtaking frozen cascade. The area offers well-maintained trails for hiking enthusiasts and ample picnic facilities for those looking to relax amidst nature's beauty. A short walk from the parking lot leads you directly to the viewing area, making it easily accessible for visitors.
Inglis Falls in Owen Sound is an absolute gem that left me utterly enchanted! the thunderous roar of the cascading water and the mist rising from the rocks wrapped me in a sense of awe and tranquility. The lush greenery framing the falls feels like a warm embrace from nature, inviting you to pause and breathe deeply. Every step along the trail reveals breathtaking views, with sunlight dancing on the water, creating a magical, almost otherworldly atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that stirs your soul, reminding you how beautiful the world can be. A perfect escape that I’ll carry in my heart forever—five stars for this stunning masterpiece of nature!

From the moment I arrived at the Conservation Area, I was welcomed by the attendant (hats off to him!) who shared helpful information to ensure I had a great experience at Inglis Falls. The hiking trails were clearly marked, the washroom facilities were impressively clean, and the entire area was easy to navigate without fear of getting lost. The scenery was perfect for a relaxing walk or hike—stunning views, unique rock formations with potholes and crevices that gave the boulders real character, and a few well-placed viewing spots that offered incredible perspectives of the falls themselves, which were magnificent. To top it all off, I also got to learn about the history of the old grist mill, which operated for nearly 90 years. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching visit!

A beautiful spot, parking lot isn't huge there is an overflow area but I would think it gets busy in the summer . We saw the salmon running which was a first for me . The trails are marked but I wouldn't say it's straight forward following which trail is which. Definitely worth the trip.

★★★★★ Breathtaking Cascade and Perfect Fall Hike! Inglis Falls is an absolute must-see if you are anywhere near Owen Sound. The horseshoe-shaped waterfall is truly stunning, cascading over the layered limestone. We visited during the peak of autumn colours, and the view from the main platform was spectacular—worth the drive alone! The trails within the Conservation Area are well-maintained and offer varying levels of difficulty, providing a great opportunity for a light hike down to the river gorge. The main viewing area is very accessible, making it easy for families or those with mobility issues to enjoy the view. Remember to bring cash or card for the parking/entry fee, which supports the upkeep of this beautiful natural site. Highly recommended for a peaceful morning or afternoon trip for nature lovers and photographers!

Inglis Falls is a hidden gem in the Owen Sound area. The falls are stunning—especially after some rain—and the surrounding scenery is perfect for photos and a relaxing walk. There’s a nice viewing platform that gives a great perspective of the cascading water. The trails are well-maintained and not too challenging, making it a great stop for all ages. Plenty of parking and clean washrooms too. A must-visit if you’re exploring Grey County or on your way to Tobermory!

It's a magical place. I did not hike today. Brought family who have never visited Ingilis Falls. They too where n awe of its beauty.
Gemma M — Google review
So beautiful. What really stood out to me was how accessible the park is. Plenty of trails for hikers, but the main falls are located right beside the parking lot, with an accessible viewing platform and wheelchair friendly washrooms. Great option for those who can’t or don’t want to hike, but still want to connect with nature and a stellar view 💖

Good place to watch the power of water. Small parking, but I have no problem to find the spot on Friday afternoon. Good trails with a lot of wood roots, rocks and trees. Clean washroom. Parking fee is $10 CAD + tax. It is possible to pay with a card.

Harrison Park is a 40-hectare natural sanctuary located in the heart of Owen Sound, offering a refreshing escape with its streams, playgrounds, trails, and gardens. The park also features the Black History Cairn, paying tribute to the city's first Black settlers.
It is a beautiful park and suits to all ages people. You can walk, bike. You can watch salmon come back. If you like, you can walk to Ingils' waterfall.
Lucy Z — Google review
Bird sanctuary is gone. Was looking forward to showing our granddaughter. Waterfall behind pool is closed off. Weeds along the riverbank are not trimmed anymore so you can’t see the river unless standing up or go into it. Park Bathrooms are cleaned well. Pool is nice but outside groups overtake it at times. Cabin is way overpriced for what you get. No bathroom, no air conditioning. Not clean. Bugs and dirt on inside window ledge and dirty outside.
Ruth R — Google review
The last time we were at Harrison Park was for mini golf on Father's Day. That was a lot of fun. We'd also intended to go paddle boating but decided to put that off for another day. That day was about a month later, and again, we had a great time.
Spirit B — Google review
I went on vacation to Owen Sound and I went to Harrison Park. I was absolutely blown away by just how much is here in the park. Trails, restaurant, pool, camp ground, parks, basketball court, senior center, spot for local vendors, mini put with paddle boats and access to canoes. Overall exploring was very fun and I got to do a lot of things as I spent about 4 hours here. I highly recommend this place and even more so if you're vacationing or camping in the city.
P.J. B — Google review
This was probably the best place we've visited in Owen Sound; this park is free to enter and free parking with camping available (at a fee). This park has everything for everyone, from playgrounds and a basketball court for kids to trails and a restaurant for the whole family. The only thing this place doesn't have is a gift shop for shopping. There are a lot of trails in this park, some of which connect to Inglis Falls (around 1 hour hike for myself and wife). The trails can be muddy from recent rain and have many uneven grounds from tree roots and rocks. We missed the entry point to Inglis Falls, but there was one available, but you would need to pay a fee to enter (or free if you go from the trails). There is a decent restaurant on site with average prices and food and a concession stand on the side of the building. The park also had a fenced area with swans and other small bodies of water. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here whether you are from Owen Sound or just visiting. We spent a few hours here hiking and ate at the restaurant afterward. Also, the ice cream you get from the concession stand comes in a generous amount (recommend).
Brian T — Google review
Best public park I've seen yet. Pool, playgrounds, trails, camping (tent and rv) and what looked like a summer program for kids. Interesting facts on plaques around the park. Alot of trees dedicated to people. It was interesting
Kitti T — Google review
A beautiful park, lots of free parking. They have a playground, bathrooms and a restaurant. The Sydenham river flows through it, very beautiful. There is a trail that leads you to Inglis falls. Takes about 1.5hrs but we'll worth the hike. The park seems to be very popular is the nice weather.
Brent — Google review
We reside on O.S and own an RV rental business. Our primary service is delivering, setting up, and tearing down RVs for guests who book at Harrison Park Campground. Although there's only one pump-out station which may require waiting. The park is family and pet-friendly, offering numerous playgrounds, hiking trails, and a pool, consistently garnering positive feedback from our guests. We've personally visited the campground; the restrooms are always clean, the campsites are level, making it easy to set up our RVs. There's plenty to do and see. I highly recommend the restaurant at the park's entrance. KMP RV Rentals will spend the entire summer at Harrison Park, ensuring our guests have a wonderful time visiting our city.

Hiking Trails
Nestled in the heart of Grey County, Indian Falls is a stunning 15-meter waterfall that captivates visitors with its horseshoe shape and picturesque cascade over bedrock. The journey to this natural wonder involves a rocky hiking trail that presents some steep sections, making it an adventurous trek for families and seasoned hikers alike. While the path can be rugged—complete with steps, stepping stones, and occasional water crossings—the effort is well worth it as you are rewarded with breathtaking views of the falls.
15 minutes or so walk to the falls but we'll worth it..we had our 4 yr old granddaughter with us and expected from the other reviews for it to be difficult..it had its moments ...climbing some rugged ground...steps and stepping stones through some water but for the most part it was OK for her..as for us pensioners it was relatively easy. Porta potties near the tennis courts just before you enter the walk were not the cleanest due to inconsiderate people. My wife was glad they were there though. I believe it's a paid car park but we have the conservation pass.
Steve L — Google review
Beautiful and rewarding hike! Steep path in some places and slippery closer to the falls from the mist and clay pathway. Seen two decent size snakes sunning themselves on a rock but they weren't sporting rattles. The falls are so pretty and its nice and cool in the forest especially near the rock face.
Kat G — Google review
Quite a little walk over some unlevel terrain. Approximately half a mile upstream from the parking lot. Would only recommend it if you are in fairly good physical shape.
Frank P — Google review
I love this waterfall and have been here many times. The good news is that even in winter it is not difficult to get to the waterfall. In the summer, you can easily descend into the gorge.
Dr. B — Google review
Really enjoyed the 1 mile out and back to the falls.
Greg A — Google review
Enjoyed our hike overall. I'm a disabled hiker, I have use of 1 leg and used my crutches for this hike. It is not wheelchair accessible at all. Wear good hiking shoes and be prepared for a bit of a challenge. Taking the upper trail, there is a large hill and some stairs to climb. The hill was quite steep, covered in roots and would be very muddy/slippery after a rain. The lower trail is washed out in parts and you need to walk in the river. Both trails are rough, have lots of loose rocks and can be narrow at times. There are fallen trees over some parts you will have to climb over. The trails are not marked well, look for red paint on the trees. It said it was a 15 min hike to the falls, it took me 40 minutes (only 25 return). The trail is rated "easy" in various places online, it is not. My able bodied partner was fine, my large dog was okay but didn't like some of the loose rocks. I found the terrain and hill challenging. I'm glad we didn't bring my mother in law (who joins us sometimes) because she would not have been able to do this trail. If you have mobility impairments please look at the photos and decide if you can do this one or not. The falls are pretty, but would be better in the spring. There was a lot less flow than in some of the photos (I visited mid August).

Quiet yet quite majestic waterfall at the end of a simple hike along the river. You can approach and enjoy views of the waterfall at two levels depending on the elevation; both of which are beautiful! The one at water level requires some stone hopping (if you don't want to get your feet wet) but allows you get up close to base for some water spray!
Andy N — Google review
This falls is beautiful! I've being going here with friends over the last several years and it never disappoints. The main trail is usually flooded so you have to go the scenic route, which requires some careful maneuvering. You have two options, go down to the base of the falls, or go up to the top. Do both it you can. Lots of beautiful pictures taken here. There are snapping turtles so keep an eye out for those!

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Free parking lot with lots of information. Hoggs falls is a very short walk from the parking lot. This is the starting point to so many trials. The beaver valley hike is about 28km and takes just under 9hrs. The parking lot isn't that big and can fill up very quickly.
Brent — Google review
A delightful spot to visit and walk or hike. The falls are a short, easy walk from the parking lot, with a porta potty onsite at least during the summer. Lots of trails branch out from the falls, including the main Bruce Trail. The falls themselves are not especially high, but still displace an impressive volume of water. Well worth the visit.
Adrian M — Google review
Beautiful falls view and very easy to get to, right by free parking. Hike the Bruce Trail for 7km to reach Eugenia Falls or if you don't want to hike the full 14km, take a 10 minute drive, although w/ $10 parking.
Marcello V — Google review
Decent free parking in main lot. Has one porta potty, but could use a permanent facility! Extensive variety of clearly marked trails and very detailed to keep you on course! Falls is located not too far from parking lot. Some trails consist of raised boardwalks to over stream bridges and climbing height elevation! Trail difficulty from easy to intermediate and difficult. Worth the visit to Flesherton Area! 🚙🌲🦌🐾
Phil J — Google review
This is on crown land, parking lot fairly small. Hoggs Falls are definitely worth visiting; very beautiful and just a short walk from the parking lot (2 options, one via a set of wooden stairs, the other short distance along the road and an easy walk)

Small parking lot can fit about a dozen cars. Filling up quickly. Short walking distance to a nice little waterfall. The rope part is a bit slippery and requires attention.

Eugenia Falls Conservation Area is a beautiful spot located just 31 minutes away from the village. The area features an old mill and rugged trails that provide a sense of seclusion despite its proximity to civilization. Visitors can marvel at the majestic waterfall and even stand at its top, offering stunning views of the surrounding forest. While there is a fee for parking, it's worth exploring the 3.5 km trail that leads to a high point in the forest with breathtaking views.
Eugenia Falls in Ontario is a breathtaking natural wonder that offers a perfect escape into nature. Located in the heart of Grey County, this stunning waterfall plunges 30 meters into the Cuckoo Valley, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The area around the falls is beautifully maintained, with well-marked trails that are ideal for hiking and exploring. The views from various lookout points are simply spectacular, especially during the fall when the surrounding foliage bursts into vibrant colors. Eugenia Falls is also rich in history, with informative plaques detailing the area's past, including its brief gold rush period. The peaceful atmosphere and the sound of cascading water make it a great spot for relaxation and contemplation. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a history buff, or simply looking to enjoy some picturesque scenery, Eugenia Falls is a must-visit destination in Ontario. It offers a serene and enriching experience that’s perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway.

Waterfall was beautiful but having to pay $10 for parking, just to spend 15 minutes looking over the waterfall was a bit outrageous. We didn't try the hiking trail as we didn't have the time so I'm sure it's more worth it if you do the long trail as well.
Tia G — Google review
Hiked a good 7 KM distance from Hoggs Falls to Eugenia and back. View deck available to watch and listen to the relaxing sound of the raging falls. Pay parking, portable toilets, and pavilion available for visitors.

Great for a picnic and short or long hike depending on if you'd like to walk to Hoggs falls as well. Easy terrain with some incline and decline so be sure to be ready to make the longer trek. Family friendly of all ages if you'd like just to see Eugenia Falls. Paid parking and staff attended entrance. Highly recommend

A great place to visit and experience a waterfall in a hidden valley that you'd never think to visit! There's a nice trail, and views of the waterfall are spectacular! NOTE: They only take debit/credit for some reason, and not cash when you pay for your parking.
Jason B — Google review
Very large falls, nice view right near the parking lot. Trails are somewhat difficult to follow in certain spots. We didn't spend a lot of time here but has lots of interconnected trails to hike. Could likely spend a full day here. Was told there's a view from the bottom of the falls if you start at Hoggs falls and hike 4.5 hours.
Genevieve M — Google review
This is one of my favorite waterfalls in Ontario. It's tall, and the hills of the Beaver Valley make it feel mythical, especially in the Autumn. The water runs fullest in the spring and then you'll find a thunderous torrent that gives off spray. Otherwise, it can be relatively sparse for water. Nonetheless, it's not to be missed!
Michelle R — Google review
Nice conservation area 2 hours from Toronto. The trail starts from the falls into the woods for about 3.5 km ending with a beautiful view from the high point of the forest. Looks amazing in fall. The trail does not make a loop, so you need to return the same path. Good sight of the falls at the start of the trail. I was a little disappointed as usually you get to the scenic point after having made effort on the trails. Well that's normally my incentive. But then at the end of the trail the sight was quite breathtaking so it all ended well. PS: The staff said the trail goes up to Tobermory, if one is feeling really enthusiastic ;)

Meaford Memorial Park is a year-round campground and park with 468 meters of shoreline on Georgian Bay. It offers public washrooms, pavilions, playground areas, a mini-golf course, and woodland walking trails. The beach area has shallow waters perfect for swimming and exploring the big rocks just off the shore. The park also features well-maintained facilities including bathrooms, showers, garbage disposal areas, and an off-leash beach area for dogs.
My wife and I did a bunch of cider/coffee tours and stayed at tent site in our Toyota Sienna Oct 19-20. Park was very clean, quiet time of year.. washrooms and showers were impeccably clean. Beautiful full moon and clear sky 2hen we were here. Enjoyed a campfire and made coffee with the electricity at site that I thought I’d need my inverter for (bonus). Friendly staff on phone and in person. Would recommend for sure. Nice pavilions and flat rock beach, saw young kids swimming when it was 21C.

A little gem for dog lovers! This small but absolutely lovely dog beach in Meaford’s Memorial Park truly made our day. It’s not a big area, but it’s perfectly separated from the main public beaches, making it feel peaceful and safe for both dogs and their humans. There’s a sandy bottom and just enough space for dogs to run, splash, and play freely. My two doodles simply didn’t want to leave the water—they were in pure heaven! The atmosphere is very calm, with kind, respectful people around, and the sunsets are just breathtaking. It took us two hours to get there, but the whole family agreed it was 100% worth the drive. We’ll definitely be coming back—no question about it. Everyone deserves to find a spot like this.

Camped for 4 nights at Meaford’s memorial park camp grounds, we had a spot right on the lake, so behind you just a small beach and beautiful views, unfortunate part, you are just a few meters away from your neighbour! No privacy what so ever, but if you focus on the lake view it soon makes you forget! Park is clean, check in very easy, the park itself is well maintained and quaint! I enjoyed swimming, nice and shallow with a sandy bottom, makes for a pleasurable swim, the hardest part, just traversing the rocks behind our camping site to get to the beach. The site we had was full service, so with a travel trailer, we had all the hook ups to be comfortable, the spot has new plastic/metal picnic tables that are way better than wood, and a decent fire pit with grates for some outdoor cooking if you’re so inclined We had a good time in Meaford and at this park, just have to get over how close the neighbours are, as this is no provincial park….. but you do get some fantastic views!

Had a great day at the beach today, plenty of space to enjoy. The water front was a bit rocky for the first 3 feet but once you pass that the bottom is all sand. The water is nice it's shallow up to the knees for a good ten feet and goes up gradually, and has dog beach farther down from people beach.

We camped here once a few years ago. Now we just go for a random bike ride and or a walk along the beach. The camp sites book up fast. So plan ahead. The municipal camp park is mnged well. Clean. The park features rambling woodland trails, peaceful waterways, and picturesque lakes perfect for outdoor recreation. Visitors can enjoy activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, cycling, and shore fishing.
This park is one of the most beautiful places we often visit. It’s a lovely lakeside park, located about an hour and a half drive from Toronto, but totally worth the trip. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall, and the lake is absolutely gorgeous, offering a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights of this park is the great walking trails, perfect for a family day out. Whether you’re looking to take a stroll or spend a relaxing day having a picnic, this place is ideal. There’s plenty of space to sit, walk, and enjoy nature. We always have a great time here and would definitely recommend it for a memorable day outdoors.

The scenic view is captivating and amazing to think we have not explore the whole area. it is spacious good for any outdoor activities for family, friends and team building event for companies. I quite surprise not to experience chasing after mosquitos here compare to the other places we visited. May I suggest to add a washroom to the other area too. we definitely visit again to explore the whole place.

We drove from Kitchener and it was worth it! We went on a Friday morning and reserved our admission online the day before. The price is cheap for two people ($13). Do the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail, it's a must! You can park at lot 3 and the loop takes about 1.5-2hr to complete. There are so many scenic spots to stop and enjoy. The trail is really well maintained with various terrain and fairly flat throughout. The bridges over the water were our favourite. The park overall was well maintained and so were the washrooms! We then did the Kayak rental. It was quick and easy and the prices were reasonable! Although it was a further drive for us it was 100% worth it. It's a large lake, great trails and good rental options.

Island Lake is one of the parks part of the Credit Valley Conservation, where this park acts as a head water for the Credit River. The park has a number of trails, most of which are not very difficult along with various picnic areas and fishing spots. The most popular trail is the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail, which covers the perimeter of Island Lake. It connects smaller islands within the lake by a series of wooden bridges and boardwalk style trails. The trail surface is about 1/3 boardwalk, which is easy to walk on and is wide enough for hikers and cyclists. Many of the viewpoints along the trail are also fishing spots as well. Generally, the trails are not very difficult and are very clearly marked with points of interest. The park also has plenty of picnic areas, with a larger area near the P2 and P3 parking lots. There are also spots to launch for any water activities such as canoes and kayaks. Overall, this park is good if looking for a picnic spot or for a simpler walking trail. On popular times, the wait time can be 30 mins or more, so it’s recommended to pay online in advance to help with getting in quicker.

Setting out for a two-hour hike was an absolute joy! Surrounded by vibrant greenery and blooming wildflowers, the trail was a sight to behold. Breathing in the crisp air and listening to the birdsong, we left the city noise behind and immersed ourselves in nature's symphony. Exploring the winding path, we discovered hidden gems around every corner, from babbling brooks to secluded clearings. As we made our way back, we felt invigorated and rejuvenated, our spirits lifted by the beauty of the outdoors. In summary, the two-hour hike was a fantastic escape, providing a much-needed dose of nature's wonders. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quick adventure!
Umber M — Google review
An incredibly beautiful and serene conservation park with lots of scenic views. It has a few short trails and one long Vicki Barron Lakeside trail that goes around the lake. The trails are very well kept and marked for easily navigating around. The main trail is great for walking or cycling but if you want to complete the trail, cycling would be a better choice. There are a few benches along the trail where you can take a break in a relaxing environment and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. Canoes and kayak rentals are also available in the park, and you can bring your own as well. The lake is also great to go for fishing, you can also have a picnic in the park and bring your own charcoal BBQ grill. There is an entrance fee of $6.5 per person to enter the park. Overall, a great place for a weekend outing.

Blue Mountain... what can be said. The village alone is reason enough to go. I love just to wander the vaguly theme park-esq esthetic of it all, popping into various shops and pubs. It's like if Ikea were a real place; everone here is just so happy to be here. There's a whole bunch of outdoor activities, or you can get drunk. Those are your two options, BUT within those options, there is so much variety. Great in the winter for all the skiing and snowboarding. Fine in the other 3 seasons for golf and climbing a thing. Check it out.

Our family had an amazing experience at Blue mountain on the weekend. The views were great. It was very busy with the Spartan race but that was fine, we went out for dinner and the restaurant seemed to be able to handle the amount of people there. There were lots of great activities to do, like the gondola ride, Agora light show, coaster and lots of window shopping And hiking around. The only downfall was that it was a little bit expensive but everything is expensive these days

We recently returned from a night away staying at the Snowbridge Resort. The only thing we enjoyed with our stay was the comfort of the bed. Otherwise, we found that the condo was very poorly maintained for the price you pay. Holes and gouges in the walls throughout and in the kitchen cabinetry. Both bathroom mirrors all had rotting frames (likely from moisture) but should be replaced. I wish this review would allow pictures to be added. Some light bulbs were burnt out and multiple lamps (bedside table and livingroom) were just unplugged. Crumbs were on the couch, hair and black mold in the bathtub, food crumbs still in the fridge. Very poor quality control. Someone set the alarm, so it woke us up at 5am. This wasn't a bedside clock but just purely an alarm for waking. We were given the incorrect wifi password. The battery went dead on our front door, so our key card wouldn't work and we were unable get into our unit at 7:30pm and had to wait outside for maintenance to show. When the maintenance guy finally showed up, he wasn't apologetic, seemed irritated, and made a comment to make us feel like we just didn't know how to get into the unit. In future, we would not return! We will instead book an AirBnB, as those home owners are way more on top of ensuring the place is well maintained.

It's my first time visiting Blue Mountain Village, and it was such a fun experience. We had the single day pass for the activities that I believe it allows us access pretty much every activity in the village. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. here's what we did : Ridge Runner mountain coaster 2times Wind Rider zip line Mill Pond water bicycle Gondola Cascade Putting Course Just love these activities even I'm not a sporty person, they were fun, accessible, and most of them are suitable for all ages. There're different trails as well, very nice place to spend time with friends and family. We did not stay in the hotels in the village, but FYI there's promotions on stay+play. And day pass will be cheaper if you purchase them 7 days ahead. And the village has shops and many restaurants, it's lively yet relaxing, perfect for a casual day out or short getaway, definitely worth visiting.

The Winter Play All Day package at Blue Mountain is a fun option if you’re not into snowboarding or skiing. It includes several activities like ice skating (which, oddly enough, requires you to drive up the mountain since it’s not accessible from the main area), the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster — a cart-on-rails ride that lets you speed down the hill — a netted jungle gym-style play area, and tubing, which we ended up skipping since it didn’t seem worth the time. Admission was around $40–$60, if I remember correctly. The value is decent for what you get, but it’s not really a full-day experience. The ice skating took up most of our time mainly because of the drive and lack of a shuttle or lift to that area — it would be great if Blue Mountain added a more direct way to get there. Overall, it’s an okay package, especially for families or kids who aren’t into snow sports. It’s affordable enough for a half-day of fun, but not something I’d call a must-do.

Plunge! Aquatic Centre

Water & Amusement Parks
Plunge! Aquatic Centre is a popular water park located in Blue Mountain Village, offering a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. The center features thrilling slides, rope swings, and multiple swimming pools, including heated indoor/outdoor options. Additionally, guests can enjoy hot tubs with scenic views and an indoor splash pad. Whether you prefer outdoor adventures or staying cozy indoors, Plunge! has something for everyone.
I've heard this place can get crazy busy. We went in the evening and were able to get right in. The facilities are nice enough. Lots of lockers. I wish there were more change stalls, but that's just a personal preference. The pools are neat, with lots of activities to suit everyone. The hot tubs are actually hot, and heavenly! Staff are pleasant and plenty of lifeguards spread around. The water quality was... questionable. I get that it was the end of a long day, and probably a busy week. But it was a little murky. Not enough to stop me from swimming, but the whole pool looked like it could use a scrub, especially the walls of the plunge pool. Again, I know it's difficult to keep such a busy place sparkling.
A H — Google review
First experience as we arrived was positive. The lady who greeted was nice. We had play all day passes. It was an easy start. I have to say though, it was quite unorganized after that. You’re not supposed to wear shoes into the change rooms but the hall where you leave shoes is very small and in the way for hallway traffic. There was no where to sit to take shoes off and for when you’re putting shoes back on. The family change room was clean. You have to pay $5 for a lock. I think the lockers should be updated to larger lockers and make them like the ski rental lockers, pay by debit. Pool was clean but very crowded. Otherwise, kids had a very positive experience.
Lindsey M — Google review
One Star – Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience. Visited on opening day expecting a clean and enjoyable experience, but it was anything but. The pools were visibly dirty right from the start, and both the deep-end pool and outdoor hot tub were closed with no explanation. You’d think these would be ready and in top condition for the first day of operation. The most disturbing part of the visit was discovering a dead rat in the pool while I was there with my 5-year-old child. We nearly stepped on it. It’s absolutely baffling how this wasn’t noticed and dealt with before opening. Staff casually removed it with a net while swimmers – including toddlers – were still in the pool. No one was asked to leave, and no visible steps were taken to disinfect the water. Completely unacceptable, both from a hygiene and safety standpoint. Definitely not worth the ticket price or the trip. Would not recommend and will not be returning.
Evelyn N — Google review
It was a good experience. I took my 3 children with me. It was a good day. We did the all-day pass, and it was worth it. We brought a cooler with lunches and snacks. When my kids needed a break, we went back to the truck to eat and rest. I wish the other pool was open, but my kids enjoyed it anyway.
Sarah-May P — Google review
Don’t bother with the vending machines at Plunge. It will eat your $5,$10,$20 bills. Good luck getting your money back. Staff knows full well and won’t warn you. Save your cash and don’t use the vending machine. Staff should put up a sign. Shame.
Dan C — Google review
The Plunge was overall a good experience for my toddlers and me. It was a bit crowded, but that was expected since it was midday and very hot. The water inside the building was cold, understandably, while the outdoor pool was warmer. However, the water wasn’t very clean, with noticeable tree particles and hair floating around. Despite that, my girls really enjoyed their time at the splash pad and the hot tub. It is quite pricey. When we arrived, there were no lockers available. The change rooms are small, and renting a locker costs $5.00. If you need a towel, it’s an additional $1.00. Children aged 3 and up are charged to use the pool, and there’s also a $10.00 fee just to be a spectator. On the board at front desk, they put that you can only stay for a maximum of 2 hours, but I am not sure how they are tracking people's stay. There are two lifeguards at the pool and an attendant at the slide, which was reassuring.
Vithucha V — Google review
This was definitely a great pool to experience water fun after being in the sun. The pool had different temperatures inside and outside. The heated pool was large, hot and relaxing as well. There was more than plenty of seating for everyone during off peak hours. Only gripe is the main attraction "The Plunge" rope is restricted to the seperate deep end pool, which everyone must take a swim test to use, and children that must stay within arms reach require the parent to take it as well. Fair, but does suck for the smaller children that come specifically for that. Luckily, there is a kiddie playground(0-6) with a water slide on the inside, a dump bucket, and basketball nets beside a bigger slide on the outside.
Mike J — Google review
We visited the mountain area during Us Thanksgiving took our to-year-old nephew here. It was quiet, not very many people. They have a little indoor pool that has a kids area to play in with a small slide and they have a medium size slide outside. That's the kids still can go out with you and they have a plunge pool that you have to swim. Show them you can swim to go in it. It is deep so you can swing and a rope over pool and jump in. The water was warm enough. There was also a hot tub that was really warm thing. I say it's kind of expensive for what you're getting but the staff was very nice. It was very clean. Had a locker room. What you can change. You can rent towels if you need them. Bring them because they charge you for towel

Cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff. Cool place to visit no matter the season (although late spring early summer is much more comfortable to have a pint outside, than mid February 🥶). Will definitely be returning during warmer weather to see what seasonal brew is available. Elbows and glasses up 🍺🍺 Support your local Brewers and Businesses👍

Creemore Springs Brewery (Creemore, ON) Patio’s open, sun is out, and yes—every Creemore beer you spot in the wild is still brewed right here in town. We popped in for a little tasting (Premium Lager, Pilsner, and the Grapefruit Radler—all smooth, all refreshing). The entire brewery, shop, and patio setup stretches the length of a whole Creemore block—which somehow still feels big in this charming little town. Plenty of merch and cold beer to go if you’re stocking up. But really, this is a place to linger. Friendly folks, relaxed vibe, and a classic Ontario main street that knows how to slow things down. Creemore remains one of those small towns that gets everything just right.

On August 15, 1987, the totally renovated building re-opened as the home of the Creemore Springs Brewery. Stopped in for a tasting. Normally we roll through without stopping. I never got enthusiast over Creemore's earliest offerings. The white stout was a pleasant surprise. Light blonde colour in the glass a full stout nose and a really mouthful, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Pat simply called it desert.

Comprised of eight beaches, each area features different terrains, providing varied beach experiences.
Peaceful Night Escape by the Shore 🌊✨” Visited this beach at night, and it was an absolutely serene experience. The soft sound of waves, cool breeze, and the dim city lights far away created the perfect calm atmosphere. The beach was quiet, with only footprints in the sand telling stories of earlier visitors. The night sky reflecting on the water made it feel like a private getaway. Perfect spot to relax, think, or just enjoy the beauty of nature without the crowds. 🌌🏖

No proper sings up for pay parking. After writing me a ticket they said I’d still have to pay for parking to not get another ticket. They have so many law enforcers to write parking ticket and not a single person cleaning the broken glass all over the beach. I Picked up so many where my family was sitting. I hope the use the parking ticket money to clean up the beach to make it safer for families. Not coming here again.

Attended the Tribute Legends show and a bit of gambling. The show was very enjoyable and the theatre was sold out. The casino offers a good variety of plays however noticeable less winners from when in the hands of previous owners. The selection of artist appears to have changed, more country and comedians, neither of which are my choice. No matter where you sit viewing is acceptable, aided by the 2 large screens. I suggest if you have viewing issues, wait for all to be seated then move up to the center top rows.

We visited Skull Island on a cooler day this summer with our group of five adults, two kids under 8, and a baby, and we honestly had the best time! The course was fun, creative, and kept everyone entertained from start to finish. The kids loved the pirate theme, and even the adults got competitive and enjoyed every hole. The atmosphere is so family-friendly, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. It was such a great way to spend time together, and we’re already talking about going back next season. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a fun activity in Wasaga Beach!

Visited Skull on its last-but-one day of the season. It is one of the best mini-golf courses we've played. Lots of fun. Reasonable price. The whole place is in great shape; obviously the owners and staff care about the details. We'll be back next season!

The kids and I made this summer the summer we did all of the mini golf courses in Wasaga Beach. We rated them in 6 different categories out of 50 points. We love Skull Island… it’s forever been the place we go. The theme is so on point and we love shaved ice!!! Our only critiques would be the lack of seating for our teen with mobility issues and the garbage on the course sometimes this summer.

Great atmosphere & fun the whole family. I came here last week with a friend. The course is fun to look at, all the water, the greens were very clean and they even have little clipboards to hold your scorecard & pencil! Nice detail. However, the course was not challenging. All except 18 are par 3 but we did most of them in 1-2. This makes it great for kids and families but if you’re an experienced mini golf fan, don’t be surprised if breeze through all 18 holes.

Amazing Fun for the Whole Family! We had an absolute blast at Wasaga 500! The Go-Karts were incredible, the 2 KM track was so much fun, and the karts reached speeds up to 40 KPH, making it super exciting for both kids and adults. The track was well-designed, and the karts felt safe yet thrilling! We also tried their mini-golf, and it was fantastic! The course had creative obstacles, and the whole setup was clean and well-maintained. The kids loved it, and we had so much fun playing as a family. The kids and I made this summer the summer we did all of the mini golf courses in Wasaga Beach. We rated them in 6 different categories out of 50 points. We tackled both courses here and loved them! The adults loved the nostalgic vibes to the course. Things were clean and we appreciated the ability to do other activities, use clean washrooms and have food. Pricing is fair and staff are welcoming. We liked the benches on the course as it allowed our teen with a disability to sit as needed. The only downside is having to drive through by the beach to get there but it’s worth it!

What a summer fun hot-spot! We took our two boys (aged 8 and 10) and they had a blast at the batting cages and go karts. Didn’t try the mini putt but would have if we had more time. What stood out was the staff who were all so friendly and energetic! Would definitely recommend and go back!

Great track. Very long and in good shape. They do it differently. You buy lap tickets. And each time you complete a long lap you slow down and give them a ticket and continue the race. I would love a way to just keep going around and around but doing it this way keeps people able to enter in without any line up as it's very fast pace even when it is very busy. Lots of carts in great working order. It's expencive but go carting is a novelty. You go for the experience, not to save money. Lots of staff keeps things moving well. This place looks great and has a great old school vibe.

It was an amazing experience snow tubing. The place is also great for skiing, with everything very well-maintained and organized. Tried Snow Valley out because they were running the Wednesday night Slide and Dine promo. It was the best value for skiing I've had in years! $35 gets you a evening lift pass and dinner with a drink. We had poutine, and it was delicious. The ski conditions were great. Lots of fresh powder and nicely groomed hills. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a chairlift, in fact most times there was no lineups at all! The runs are short and nothing too challenging, but we had a really fun time! The chalet had nice wood fires burning to warm up by and dry out your gear. Thought it was a nice touch. Will definitely return again. Free parking right in front of the chalet too! We skied right to the car :)

Had a lovely day skiing. Nice groomed hills and all the staff I encountered were lovely and helpful. I find the price is a bit steep for tickets and rentals. I also struggled to find anything online about the food options on site making it a bit annoying to plan for the day. I also think each hill should have a marker at the beginning. Some do and some don't.

We had a great time with family. I have 2 kids, 1 above 42 inch (8 years old) and the other one under 42 inch (3 years old). A lot of resorts around us don’t have options for little ones, which is why we chose to go here. The older one had the best time ever and so did the little one, we were 4 adults and 2 kids. We went on a weekday so we took 5 all day passes above 42 inch and 1 all day pass under 42. We alternated spending time at the kidz zone while the other ones enjoyed the big slide. The wait time was nothing for the big tubing slides. At one point I was even able to go up and down in 10 minutes. Weekdays are the best. The slides were fun enough for a 3 years old. The 2 zones, are right beside each other and beside the cafeteria so it works out perfectly. The whole family had fun. The only negative point was the wait at the cafeteria, more than 30 minutes just to order food and then you have to wait for the food.

Came on a Monday and got all day passes for snow tubing since we didn't realize the 2-hour passes aren't sold on this day. We ended spending 3 and a half hours so it worked out. The snow falling during our visit was so beautiful too! There was at least one school field trip here at the same time but despite that, the process of getting up the lift and taking turns to snow tube down are pretty organized. Giving 5/5 stars for all the kind and courteous employees. A special shout out to the employee who we requested to push us as hard as he could down the steepest hill. He delivered and we sped and spun down the hill for our last ride of the day which was so fun. Thanks again man!!

Great place to visit with friends and family. We did the tubing and it was on a weekend. We were able to do so many turns and it was a smooth experience. The staff is amazing considering they’re out in the cold through out the day but they’re always smiling and nice to everyone. Had a great time!

Tubing is fun here at Snow Valley Ski Resort. We did not buy our ticket online as we are not sure if Monday is open for tubing. But I recommend that you buy a ticket ahead of time as there is no assurance that you can get to the location. The lady was really nice on that day. She allows us to get in and have a ticket from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for $45.00 each person. Is it worth it? Yes, it does. We have so much fun!

Nice beach front in Barrie city, every year during the civic holiday in August, they have the Kempenfest festival and it is such a nice weekend long event. Nice concerts, food, crafts and much more!

A wonderful and quiet place in the heart of the city with a variety of views and sports. Lush green lawn, basketball courts, a wide range of watersport activities, beautiful trails and lot more. If you are a peace loving person who likes to prefer quite place with nice views, you won't be disappointed either. Very well planned and maintained park

Went for an early morning walk here. I haven't been for a while. Nice updates. Better parking (may need to pay). Nicer seating, especiallynear beach. Landscaped along shoreline. A real gem 😊

Spirit Catcher

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled along the picturesque shores of Kempenfelt Bay, the Spirit Catcher stands as a striking 21-metre kinetic sculpture that draws inspiration from indigenous mythology, particularly the thunderbird. Crafted by artist Ron Baird for Expo 86 in Vancouver, this impressive piece was later donated to enhance Barrie's artistic landscape and installed in 1987. Today, it serves as a prominent landmark and cultural symbol for both locals and visitors alike.
The Barrie Spirit Catcher is an iconic and mesmerizing landmark along Kempenfelt Bay. Its towering metal wings are not only a stunning piece of art but also a symbol of the city’s Indigenous heritage and vibrant spirit. A must-see spot for anyone visiting Barrie—especially at sunrise or sunset, when it stands beautifully against the sky.🍂

Great place to reflect on Canadian history and have a moment of reflection. Ron Baird's Spirit Catcher. He states that the inspiration for his sculpture stemmed from the oral traditions of the Anishinaabe. I photographed this sculpture using a Kodak Brownie Bullet. This camera was manufactured in the same year that numerous residential schools opened their doors. For example the "Amos Indian Residential School" (1955-1973) was essentially a concentration camp where thousands of innocent children were mercilessly abused at the hands of the Church. When I removed the film roll my finger slipped and the 127 spool loosened a lot. They allowed for massive light leaks and caused major damage before I secured it. The damage to the film stock is indicative of the damage done to the European and Anishinaabe relationship. Furthermore the light leaks appear as if they are erasing the sculpture much like Canada's efforts to erase Indigenous people.

I was very impressed with experiencing the Spirit Catcher. I received my new spirit from there. Barrie is an amazing place to visit. I love ❤️ it so much and will visit again with my family 👪 I visited today with Kumar & Mark 📌 Kumar is the owner of Soldier Gear and Mark 🚩 is the Barber at Soldier Gear also. There is nothing but one sculpture, for that will have to pay 10 dollars for just one hour parking. Does not worth it

The Spirit Catcher sculpture in Barrie, Ontario, is a striking symbol of the city's vibrant arts and culture scene. Designed by artist Ron Baird, this iconic structure stands tall at the waterfront, resembling a large bird with outstretched wings. Its dynamic form and gleaming steel construction make it a captivating focal point along the scenic shoreline of Kempenfelt Bay. The Spirit Catcher serves as a beacon of inspiration and creativity, inviting visitors to contemplate its beauty and significance. Whether admired from afar or explored up close, this beloved sculpture embodies the spirit of Barrie and is a must-see attraction for locals and tourists alike. Parking is available

The Spirit Catcher- the big sculpture is little on the hill. So view was great! And also a harbor was there. So can see many boats too. Parking lot fee is $1 a hour.

Beautiful boardwalk, so in love with it: excellent for family times, biking, long walking (I did 10 km back and forth). With the autumn, you don't even notice that you do the workout : it's so beautiful out there

Very big metal statue of a thunderbird called Spirit Catcher donated in 1986. Created by Artist Ron Baird. Looks rustic. Parking is available right beside the statue but it is not free. We came in the winter months and the path is not clear so you have to climb over snowbanks if you want to get closer to the plaques to read information about the art installation. It’s a good 5 min break or for a quick drive by as a point of interest if you happen to be in the area.

Nestled in the heart of Barrie, Ontario, Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. This local gem offers a vibrant setting and a unique selection of craft beers. Visitors can enjoy free tours with tastings and explore the small shop on-site. Known for their wild and eccentric beers, Flying Monkeys produces some of the most creatively designed cans in Ontario's brewery scene.
Great place to get craft beer! The place is colourful and their beers are as colourful! They host a free tour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, & 4 pm. Max of 8 people, first come, first served. We did that and it was good! It last for approx 45-1hr, and they talk about the history of flying monkeys and how to make a beer! We came back late at night to check the vibe and they have live performances. Staff are friendly, they have gender neutral washrooms.

I went to this place for lunch and ordered a meat sandwich, but unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing. It sounded great on the menu, but it lacked flavor and didn’t live up to the description. The atmosphere also didn’t feel right for a relaxed lunch. The place is right by the street, so it’s very noisy, and there were several moments when people experiencing homelessness walked by asking for something. It made the experience a bit uncomfortable. I got the sense that it’s more of a nighttime spot, and to be fair, they do have a good selection of beers. Maybe it’s better to visit in the evening, but for lunch, it really didn’t hit the mark.

This is the best brewery in Barrie. The venue is immaculate with the band posters on the roof and really just every inche of the place covered in something cool. Drinks are fantastic and food is delicious. If you are looking for breweries I would recommend stopping in!

Flying Monkey is a visual treat to visit, the best looking place on that main street in Barrie! And not only that, they got some fine quality beverages for you to enjoy there OR take home. Now, they already had the best chocolate beer in the market with their Chocolate Manifesto, but they got a seasional chocolate stout sample box you can only really get there?!? I'm all in on that! Not a hard drinker? No worries. Their flavoured seltzers are rather nice too! Haven't had the chance to try the food, but there's always a happy looking crowed and a sweet patio there so i'm sure its pretty good. Cheers!

First and foremost, I highly recommend doing their free weekend tours. The staff there are really nice, and knowledgeable about their drinks, including the process and factory. We explored the entire back door of the brewery and saw how their drinks and products are made, the history and some other near facts. The restaurant is pretty hip, their beers are packaged in very artistic and abstract Designs which are very eye catching. It's worth stopping by Flying Monkeys if you're visiting the Barrie area!

What an amazing place but most importantly hell of a great beer. Atmosphere is uplifting, very colorful place and the live music was a hit. The pretzel was out of this world and the sausage board to die for. Good job Flying Monkeys 👏🏻💪🏻👍🏻

It was more than a brewery but an experience!! You could stay for a week and still see something new. Great selection of beers for all tastes and I highly recommend the smashed burger. Best I’ve ever had!!

I started with the Birdyard sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, and the fries were among my favourites—crispy and perfectly seasoned. However, I was quite disappointed with the tacos. The tortilla was unfortunately dry, tough, and had an off-putting smell, reminiscent of the kind served at the New former nightclub in Downtown Barrie. The combination of pickled ingredients, sweet jalapeños, and sour cream created a flavour profile that felt unbalanced to me—almost like baby reflux in taste and texture. That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere vibrant and upbeat. Chef, please don’t take this the wrong way—fusion and street food can be incredible when the flavours are thoughtfully combined. I wish you the best of luck with your next creation and look forward to seeing how the menu evolves.
