We absolutely loved our experience! It was so much fun for everyone, and truly perfect for all ages — especially the kids. There were so many activities that kept them entertained and excited the entire time. Everything was well organized, clean, and safe, which made it easy for us to just relax and enjoy ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful, and you could tell they really cared about making sure everyone had a great time. We’ll definitely be coming back — such a wonderful place for families to make memories together!

Ripley’s Aquarium is an amazing place for families. My son loved watching the stingrays — you can see them from above (bird’s-eye view) in open water, just a few feet away. The kids’ section has a small filtration system for play purposes, where children can learn how water moves through the aquarium. It’s educational, fun, and a great way for kids to explore and understand how filtration works. The place is clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for both kids and adults!

Its a really cool, fairly big aquarium. It was a little cfowdwd, but other than that, it was fun. There were so many decorations and things to see, and unique sea creatures. The kids indoor playground looked fun, and all the tanks were very clean, and the creatures were well maintained. The only problem was the food. I there were more fikd options. The only cafeteria type food place only had a couple crowded tables, and barely had anything on the menu. But that wasnt enough to bring my rating down to a 4 stars, because the aquarium is so great. I love this place.

Awesome for all ages. Plenty of seating arrangements for elders. Touching the sting ray is the best thing as a climax kids can have. My kids had an amazing day. The aquarium has a lot of variety of sea creatures . Moreover the way it has been presented is amazing. Information display is very clear and simple. Its worth the money. Memorable experience.

9:00 a.m. Toronto My CityPASS said I could visit Ripley’s Aquarium anytime, so with an hour to spare before my CN Tower reservation, I decided to head inside. I asked the girl scanning tickets how long it usually took to get through. She told me about an hour and a half. It was Monday morning, and the place was completely empty. It was quiet, the kind of quiet that hums in your chest. Just the low music and the faint whoosh of water cycling through the tanks. The blue light made everything look like it was breathing. I wandered slowly, taking in the small faces of the fish and the strange calm that filled the rooms. There was even a “quiet tent” set up for anyone who needed a break. I understood why. If I had another encounter with that sawfish staring at me like it was judging my entire existence, I’d need it too. For a quick stop, it ended up being one of the most peaceful hours of my trip so far.

It was nice, but honestly, $56 for adults and $38 for children is way too expensive for what you offer. There were no glow fish, no dolphins, and not even a dolphin show. For the amount you charge, at least include some impressive or unique marine life that makes the visit feel worth the money. They seriously needs to improve its exhibits or reconsider its pricing it feels more like a tourist trap than an educational experience.

One of the best Aquariums I have ever gone to. Great tour of the water life in Lake Ontario, this place taught me a lot about the creatures in the water. They have a great jellyfish exhibit which has glow in the dark jellyfish under blacklight which was an amazing experience. If you have never visited this aquarium I highly recommend you check this place out!

Beautiful, scenic and relaxing! Stunning views of downtown Toronto en route by ferry to this quaint set of interconnected islands. Lovely boardwalk from Ward’s Island to Centre Island. Clean and lifeguard-supervised swimming area on Centre Island. Cute amusement park and gardens. Spend the day or just a few hours.

Toronto Islands are one of the best places to visit in the city. The view of the skyline from across the water is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Whether it’s summer or fall, the islands are stunning. There are three islands, each with its own charm. You can take a boat to any of them (check the schedule), or grab a water taxi near Harbourfront for a more relaxing ride. The return trip from the island is free even if you didn’t take the ferry. The are a few beaches which are clean and scenic, perfect for summer days. I highly recommend going on a weekday, ideally in the morning to avoid crowds (it can be VERY crowdy on weekends). On weekdays it is quiet, peaceful, and you might feel like you have the whole place to yourself. The best way to explore is by renting a bike through Bike Share. There are lots of them available. There is also a nice boardwalk on the opposite side of the islands (no bikes permitted though). But the best part is of course the iconic view from Centre Island. There are also a few cafes for a quick snack, plenty of picnic spots, lots of water stations. Overall, Toronto Islands are a must-see!

We ended up catching the ferry to Billy Bishop Airport (~10minutes). From there, we walked to Center Island. It was incredibly crowded for a weekday. Prices were high for pretty much everything. The highlights for us were the little farm, where we got to pet the ponies, donkeys, and goats. We caught the ferry back to the mainland maybe 40 minutes after exploring Center Island.

I always have a great time on this island—beautiful nature and delicious food. The only thing I didn’t like this time was that some people were going into the fountain pool, which isn’t allowed. Security should take steps to prevent this.

Visited Toronto Island Park around 3 PM in October with friends. We spent about two hours walking around and watched a beautiful sunset. It was a bit cold, and there isn’t much to do during the colder months besides walking, grabbing a coffee or snack at the small café, or checking out the restaurant that was open. The views of the city and lake were great, but overall it’s a quiet, simple experience in the off-season. Also, in winter the ferry doesn’t reach the main island, so you have to walk about 30 minutes to get there

had a great time at Toronto Islands. The place is peaceful and has amazing views of the city skyline. I went during the air show, and watching it from the island was a perfect choice. The planes flying over the water and skyline made it a great experience. We also had a small barbecue there, which added to the fun. The open space, fresh air, and calm surroundings made it a relaxing day. The ferry ride to the island was smooth and easy. Overall, it was a lovely day,good weather, exciting air show, tasty food, and a perfect spot to enjoy nature while still being close to the city.

Beautiful islands to enjoy some quality time with friends and family. It’s an easy ferry ride or water taxi from the harbours. During weekend a very busy place, so a wait for ferry is long. However if you wish to save time, get a water taxi which is quick for some extra dollars. Overall the island is very clean with great sights and activities for everyone. It’s huge with different sides of it. Centre island is the main attraction for a new person or tourist. Easy to walk around or rent a cycle for better experience. Lots of places to get a quick drink or snacks. Lot of signage’s available and its self explanatory. Best views of Toronto skyline from the islands.

Family and I went to this amazing St.Lawrence Market and it was so many shops inside for whatever you need. It had amazing Food options and so many Meats options also. What are the unique thing is how different culture kind of meat and cheese and fruits that were in this Market. The food was so fresh anywhere you tried to eat because it was made fresh right away. We try the pizza place and it was very delicious. The only reason why I give it a four star is because it would have been nice to see some Halal Options in Market as it had None and we had to find Cheese pizza to eat. Also bathroom could been cleaner! Overall Very Amazing and Unique Market to visit.

If you would love to visit local market as a tourist, this is the place to go! It has nice market atmosphere and I see long queue at many shops in the market by locals. It also cater both raw and ready to eat food. So you can buy beef steak to cook in your homestay or buy ready to eat food. Variety range from meat to seafood to fruits to bread to tarts to desserts and even maple syrup! Beautiful atmosphere and nice yummy food.... A nice brunch place and market!

Had a terrific time spending the day browsing St Lawrence Market. Bought an amazingly creative bouquet of flowers to brighten our hotel room. Had a delicious charcuterie lunch made from purchasing items from various vendors. Dessert was the largest berries we’ve ever seen, sweet, juicy, and delicious! Bought some pork belly to bring home after our trip. Purchased wines, a few souvenirs for our kids, generally had a nice day browsing through the enormous market. For reference I’d say it is about six times the size of Pike Place Market in Seattle.

Pretty much every visitor to Toronto knows this market. It's in a class of its own among public markets. Think about the scale, the vibe, the amazing selection and quality of products. You can even eat and drink while you shop—how great is that? On a nice day (if it's not too cold), the outdoor patio is the place to be. It's spacious, with pigeons wandering around, and another market is just across the street. Picture this: you're eating a lobster roll or pasta, feeding the pigeons, enjoying the scenery, and chatting with friends. What a fantastic scene!

A nice place to visit, lots of options for fancy goods, food particularly seafoods, meats, cheese, backed delicacies, sweets and farm produce. Liked the bright, happy vibe and roaming carefree environment. It was Christmas buying time, it added colourfulness. Good for buying souvenirs too.

Wonderful experience of the oldest market in Canada! There was a booth that has been there since before Canadas birth! The main floor is where fresh food is sold. The lower level has all the international flavours… will visit again. Lively atmosphere… need sitting area in winter. Has a mini-museum in lowest level where the jail used to be.

Possibly the best market in downtown Toronto. Full of fresh and unique items. A really great peameal bacon sandwich. Fresh coffee. Fresh seafood, including sushi and pickled herring. If only it opened earlier

In Toronto, the Zoo is one of the most visited attractions for tourists and locals alike, as its focus on entertaining children and young adults means it's always bustling. If you're planning a visit, I recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance to avoid lines at the entrance. However, you can also try buying tickets at the door and get discounted tickets. The Zoo often hosts events at certain times of the year, such as this one for Halloween, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on their social media for more information on opening days. To get there, there's a shuttle service from Union Station and a bus that runs directly to the Zoo. If you're driving, they have private parking. For food, the park is very well-equipped, with plenty of snack bars, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a Tim Hortons. However, you can bring your own food, as the park has picnic tables. The park has excellent facilities for visitors with disabilities, with paved streets without potholes, access ramps, staff support, and accessible restrooms. The park also has lockers, where you can rent and leave your belongings. Along with all the animal facilities, the zoo also has a splash pad that opens in spring and closes in the first weeks of fall, a zip line, a carousel, and souvenir shops. The tour is very cool, and everyone is sure to be delighted.

Toronto Zoo is a great place for families. Even though there is construction happening right now and a few animals are not available to see, it’s still absolutely worth visiting. The zoo is clean, spacious, and well organized. My son enjoyed the kids’ learning areas and interactive displays. Friendly staff, lots of walking paths, and plenty of spots to relax. A great outdoor experience for kids and adults — we’ll definitely visit again!

We got our family season pass and would come about once every one or two weeks. There would be a lot of people on the weekends and can get quite noisy. We prefer to go on weekdays. There are many animals in the zoo and my toddler love it. There are some animals who are alone and it would be great if they may have a companion for them so they would be less lonely. The staff are usually very friendly and helpful.

Honestly, I love this place, but man, it is a workout. You absolutely need your most comfortable shoes because the zoo is massive and you will be walking all day. ​The enclosures are huge, which is great for the animals, but it does mean sometimes they’re hiding in the back and you can't see them. The polar bears were actually active this time though, which was super cool. It's a solid day trip, just be ready to be exhausted by the end

Overall great place. The only reason I removed a star is because, although I understand many of the animals not being out because November is cold, in the canadian area there were supposed to be 6 animals out and we were only able to see 3 of them. That was definitely not worth the absurdly steep hill we had to climb on our way back. That was the only downside of the experience. Loved the place though.

We were there in early November, I was surprised at how many animals we saw. In their winter housing situations and not available for public to view. I was impressed by the cost, it's very affordable for a family of four. And stayed at a local hotel with a pool. The kids already want to go back.

It is a fantastic place to visit with family and friends. We had a good time seeing all Fall colors and walking around. While animals in captivity is bad, it is still important to understand them and value their importance in our lives. They have so many different species of all kinds of animals. Some animals are always resting so you don't get to see them always. You have to pay $20 for the parking and the tickets are extra. They have plenty of parking though. Definitely recommend visiting once.

I came here for a lunch buffet. Despite the bad reviews, I gave it a try. I lowered my expectations, so it was just like how I expected. The restaurant reminded me of a dormitory dining hall, extremely noisy and crowded. The food was not as bad as the reviews I read. There are plenty of options, one way or another you will find something to enjoy. It’s relatively cheap, so the price-quality point was good. However, your visit reason shouldn’t be for dining, but for the view and the overall experience. You can definitely find better food around the area, but you can’t always eat on top of the tower. So, I would suggest visiting this place once in your life and one time only.

We came for the views with a relaxed meal experience. We got that absolutely 100%. The food was good, without being brilliant. No complaints. The service was ok, but a little chaotic. The views and revolving restaurant (not the buffet) was what we came for, and what we got as an experience. Its a litle over priced for what you get for sure. We came to Niagara for a once in a lifetime experience, and this restaurant played its part. We also got to experience the views from the observation deck afterwards as well, so overall would do it again, even knowing the rest of what i mention.

While I did not go to the restaurant, I did go for the observation deck and it was so stunning. The view of Niagara Falls is amazing as well as being able to see the Buffalo and Toronto skylines. I highly recommend. The elevator up was also such a cool experience!

Recommended, view is worth it. Food was nice good portions, salmon was really tasty cook perfectly. Service wasn’t good we have two waiters one a girl was nice but the older guy was no patient and kind of rude. But we saw other tables were really happy with services maybe just our luck. Nice place to go, as the CN tower rotates so you can have a 360o view in around one hour period.

I really enjoyed the Prime Rib dinner in the revolving restaurant. You get 90 minutes for your reservation which is plenty of time to enjoy your meal and enjoy the views. The restaurant rotates once per hour, we got to see the falls 2x while we were sat. Afterwards we went to the observation deck as it is included. All of our meals were good with no complaints from any of us. I would definitely return as this was a memorable experience for me.

At the top of Skylon Tower, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of Niagara Falls! The breathtaking scenery, combined with the sound of the falls and a gentle breeze, creates an unforgettable experience!! Additionally, you’ll learn about the daring individuals who have attempted to cross the falls and witness the various vehicles they used beyond the barrels, including kayaks and a massive steel ball.

Had an amazing experience at the Skylon Tower! The views of Niagara Falls from the top are absolutely breathtaking. Tickets were around $23 per person, totally worth it for the panoramic scenery. The shop at the top was a fun surprise — the guy who owns it is super funny, friendly, and makes everyone feel comfortable. Overall, a great visit and a must-do in Niagara!

Walking behind and right up against the Falls is an unforgettable experience! The only other attraction that surpasses this is the Cruise that takes you into the heart of the Horseshoe Falls. I’m thrilled that I had the opportunity to experience both attractions because it allows you to truly immerse yourself in the falls at your own pace. In this experience, you’ll get much closer to the Falls, hearing the thunderous roar and feeling the water spray against you.

Highly recommend this venue to get views of the Canadian Falls up close! One observation point gives you an incredible view up the falls to see the water cascade roll over into the Niagara river! Tunnel views are behind the falls with stunning close up of water rolling past you! They provide rain slickers to keep you dry We went in November no crowds no wait!!! Summer spring early fall high season wait can be 2 hours!!!! Definitely no exceptions do this off season!!!!!!

We traveled by bus from Union bus station to Niagara falls bus station, around 43 CAN/adult. There, we bought another ticket to the falls which was about 10 minutes far by that bus. The scene was breathtaking, especially that it was snowing. We walked around for an hour, took amazing pictures and had some coffee in the adjacent cafe, then came back the same way It is a must experience for those who visit Toronto, and it deserves the effort done to reach the location

The Journey Behind the Falls is one of those experiences that truly lets you feel the raw power of Niagara Falls up close and I mean really close. Even though I’ve seen the falls many times from above, nothing quite compares to standing right behind that massive curtain of water and hearing the thunderous roar echo all around you. It’s surreal The moment you step out of the elevator you can already hear the rumbling of the water. it’s deep and powerful, like the heartbeat of nature itself. The tunnels lead you to two observation portals directly behind the falls. When you reach them, you see millions of gallons of water rushing down in front of you, just a few feet away. The mist and the sound together create an atmosphere that’s both thrilling and calming at the same time. Then there’s the outdoor observation deck which is easily my favorite part. Standing there, you can feel the mist spraying your face while watching the falls from an incredible vantage point. It’s one of those moments you don’t forget. The poncho they provide helps, but you’ll still get a bit wet, which honestly adds to the fun. I’d recommend going early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and get more time to take it all in. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been to Niagara before, Journey Behind the Falls gives you a whole new appreciation for its power and beauty.

What else everyone knows Niagara falls! Just dress properly especially your sleeves that will be exposed if you do the mist boat cruise! Memories shop is also nice and have wifi. Didn t had to wait long for the boat on a sunday.

Absolutely stunning, i highly recommend visiting once in your life time. We went during a weekday in September and it was not very crowded. Pretty east walk from one side of the falls to the other (about 30-45 min at a very leisurely pace and stopping for photos.)

This was a bucket list adventure and it was absolutely amazing! The falls are so beautiful and powerful. The scenery is incredible in the park, especially in the fall. We did a boat ride to the falls and we could feel the water spraying up on us as it hit the water below. Of course Canada is just on the opposite bank.

I've seen the falls a few times now, but this was the first time seeing them outside of winter. Waterfalls are mesmerising any season, and autumn is no exception. Incredible sights, beautiful views, absolutely recommend visiting them at least once in your life.

Niagara Falls is truly one of the best places to visit! The view is breathtaking, and the sound of the rushing water is both powerful and calming. The area around the falls is clean, well maintained, and has plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, and viewing points. It’s a perfect destination for families, couples, or anyone who loves nature and adventure. I highly recommend adding Niagara Falls to your travel list — you’ll never forget the experience!

Amazing place. So clean, so beautiful, with the falls accessible day or night. To access the closer parts, like the boat or the tunnel, you'll have to buy a ticket. Our group booked via the hotel. You pay more, but the tour guide/ driver reduces all stress and offers an in depth historical tour to boot. The falls themselves are so beautiful, majestic in size and yet so calming. Nature the way God intended. Incredible views, and the USA side more relaxed compared to the Canadian side. The view of the falls better from Canada overall, but you get up closer from the USA side. Weekends much busier than week days, but worth it no matter what day you choose. All hotels are within 10 minutes walk, so don't worry what one you choose. Free fireworks show at 10pm every night, lasting between 5 and 8 minutes. Spectacular place.

It was Wednesday morning when I arrived at Niagara Falls, and since it was the end of the season, the streets were almost empty. Only a few people, including me, could be seen around the state park or walking along the city roads. The view of Niagara Falls is absolutely breathtaking, and I highly recommend visiting the Shoreline Trail either early in the morning or in the evening.

I took the 75-minute tour today and absolutely loved it. Lou was my guide and he did a great job. I've been to around a dozen or so Frank Lloyd Wright properties, and this was the most spectacular. The property is sprawling, the home is meticulously restored, and the landscaping is so beautiful. This is a must do in Buffalo for any architectural buffs.

We took the 2 hr tour. Parking is in the surrounding streets and watch the signage for allowed days and times. Tickets were on every car illegally parked. The house is obviously impressive and massive. Being fairly tall, I really didn't care for the areas with low ceilings that were intended by wright to either move you along or to sit down. Interior woodworking was impeccable and outside construction flawless. The guide seemed focused on minute details of the owners life and family rather than the house. But it was informative and very well run.

Frank Lloyd Wright architecture lovers will be very excited to see the restoration and current condition of this beautiful piece of residential art! Every detail was understood and perfectly restored to its original condition. Part of the house and an adjacent FLW home were destroyed in the past and all of it was rebuilt to exacting details and materials. As soon as you step into the home, it takes your breath away with sights, lights and sounds like no other home. It is not Renaissance grand, but it is FLW grand and I like that better. The warmth of the woods, the glass that makes the light talk to you and the art all over the house secretly disguised as furniture are all amazing. The docents were professional, very knowledgeable that provided just enough time for guests to stop walk around and take it all in. They answered questions politely with additional stories about the family and additional history bits. There are several choices of options for the tour with progressively longer and more complete tours of the home, adjacent buildings, and grounds. I highly recommend touring this Frank Lloyd Home in Buffalo!

The tour began with an excellent video laying the background for the design and building of the estate. Dave, our tour guide, was a wealth of information, and very entertaining. He was able to respond to all questions. We took the two hour tour, which I would highly recommend. We went in October, but I would love to return in spring/summer when the gardens are in bloom.

What a spectacular place! My family enjoyed hearing about the history of the home and the relationship between Mr. Wright and Mr. Martin and their partnership in building this house. The house has been beautifully restored and is a treasure. Our volunteer guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the property. We are glad to have gotten a membership and look forward to returning.

Amazing tour. We took the 2 hours tour and it surprisingly went very quickly. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the house, the history of the person that commissioned the house to be built, FLW, and the neighborhood. Even if tour are not a fan of FLW, you will enjoy this tour of the property.

We visited the Martin House on our way to Niagara Falls. The architecture is beautiful, and the history behind it is fascinating. It even inspired us to visit Paris to see the original piece of the Statue of Victory.

The Strong National Museum of Play completely lives up to its name — it’s pure fun, learning, and nostalgia rolled into one. We went as a family with both adults and kids, and every one of us had different favorites — which says everything about how much there is to do here. The exhibits are hands-on, creative, and thoughtfully designed, from the classic toys and video games to the pretend play areas and immersive displays. You could easily spend the whole day here and still find new things to explore. The only downside was that the bathrooms could have been cleaner — no soap first thing in the morning and a few stalls looked like they hadn’t been checked since the night before. Hopefully just a timing issue, because everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the layout was well-organized, and the entire experience was memorable from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back — we’re planning for another full day!

This is the best place for kids (and me!)😁 It has the largest areas of play for kids at different ages. It entertains, teaches and inspires my kids. It's such a cool place and I would love to come here a few times a week! I wished the membership was cheaper though.

Best children’s museum I’ve ever been to! We stopped on our way back from the Midwest, going to New England, and my husband is already wanting to plan a trip to Rochester next year, just to spend more time at the museum! My son who was 1.5yo when we visited, LOVED it! I like how there’s activities for kids at every age (even adult nostalgia), and there’s even an outside area for kids to run around in (enclosed).

Outstanding National Treasure in the middle of Rochester! I went to the museum with my 4 year old granddaughter on Monday when senior rates are in effect. It is not cheap and family membership makes more sense than paying admission only a few times a year. It takes several days to appreciate the enormous amount of exhibits housed at the Strong. Parking is $10 on top of admission without a membership. I have been to art and science museums around the world and this museum blew me away. Can't say enough good things about it. Go, just go. Had such a great time that I didn't take many pictures; I was too enthralled with the displays and activities for young and old.

Had a great experience at the Strong Museum! My kids had a blast—there were tons of fun activities for them. I especially enjoyed seeing the classic games from the ’90s, like the pinball machines. Brought back memories! Pretty sure the new generation has no idea how to play some of those, but it was fun showing them.

This was our second time visiting with our son. First time he was 2 years old and he had a great time. This visit he's now 7 years old and was able to enjoy different parts of the museum that cater to his age. He even got to have fun in some of the same sections he did as a 2 year old. This museum is really one of my favorites. It's fun for the whole family, not just the little ones. The history of video games and the history of board games really stands out for me. Very clean and easy to navigate. Highly recommend! My son would also like to add his words: "Most museums we only go to once, but this museum is far away from us, and we want to go to it a lot of times. The Strong Museum of Play is really fun. I love all the sections and could spend a whole day there. Can't wait to go back!"

We had a fantastic time at The Strong National Museum of Play last weekend. It's truly the best place for kids, with so many fun and interactive exhibits that kept them entertained for hours. The staff deserves a special shout-out—they were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable. This is a must-go place for families!

The outlets beach is the most popular, with it's expansive, two-kilometre-long shoreline, soft, white sand and rolling waves, thousands flock here each summer. 750,000 of them, in fact. A day-use-only beach, you're required to book your visit in advance to guarantee entry, but it's worth it. There's a restaurant on site and many washrooms and changing rooms nearby. Plenty of parking but get there early for a good spot.

Sandbanks Provincial Park is an amazing spot for a picnic, a relaxing day at the beach, and swimming. The beach is entirely sandy with no rocks, making it ideal and comfortable for swimming. To enter the park, you’ll need to reserve or register in advance. The park is well-equipped with change rooms, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. There’s also lots of space to sit and relax near the water, whether you’re sunbathing, snacking, or just taking in the view. A perfect getaway for a summer day!

So beautiful. The camp sites are nice. Happy to hear the comfort station is getting an upgrade. Though I’ll doubt they will change the footprint, more stalls are needed. The bathroom is always busy with its proximity to the beach and all the camp sites. The sunsets are gorgeous. We always have a wonderful time here. Highly recommend!

A stunning provincial park. The park itself is quite big. They have two park stores, a few trails and lots of beach space. We only stayed for a day but the campsites looked nice as well. Lots of friendly staff and endless beaches to explore.

Had a beautiful day at Sandbanks today. Made some great memories with family. Playing in the sand and in the water. The water was fantastic! Loads of parking and space on the beach. Highly recommend it if you haven't been.

This was a wow experience, Desert in Ontario and I really mean it, miles of desert around, I went early morning like 9.30 AM, ensure to reserve a day pass from Canada Parks website, the beaches have basic facilities- clean washroom and changing rooms, lot of benches etc, and parking is near to the beaches.

Today was a wonderful day at the Dunes Beach!! Blue sky, clear water, not too busy for a summer Friday, and a positively awesome experience. We have been to Outleat and Lakeshore Beaches in previous years, and even then, this park does not disappoint! Waves can be fun, but wind gusts were only up to 15km/h instead of 40km/h, which made it suitable for paddleboarding on the water. It's about 500 meters from Dunes Trail parking to the shore. However, paddling on the shore is much easier for finding beach space than treading on the deep, hot sand anyway! The beach is so nice and clean despite all the negative fishy news circulating on social media. Be ready for sand, lots of it! We are planning for more trips this summer!

Fabulous place to head up to watch the sunset. We went on the haunted walk at night which was relatively cool except we had a young person as part of the tour maybe 10 or 11 years old who didn't follow any of the rules repeatedly made noise and Flash their flashlight which really ruined the ambience and the parents weren't doing much about it. Lots of cool spiders though!

Good place for half day trip. Although, entry ticket is high compared to fort size and being national heritage size. Many restaurants inside the fort. Fort itself is well maintained and you can get free tour guide who explains different areas. Good collection of old guns, swords and some old cannons. Actors performing soldiers are very good and take their parts very active and seriously. They have good performances going on entire day which includes canon firing and gun firings. Overall good walk around the fort.

Amazing history and a wonderful tour! We watched the guards marching and rehearsing, and they demonstrated the use of musical instruments, signals, and drums — we even had a chance to play the drums ourselves. The guards also demonstrated the firing of guns. The fort has many rooms on display, and the gift shop offers freshly baked bread from an on‑site oven. It was a very educational and memorable experience!

Fort Henry was such a cool experience! The historic atmosphere, the costumed guides, and the live demonstrations (like the cannon firing and marching) really brought history to life. Great views over the lake and Kingston too. It’s fun for both adults and kids – especially the museum section and the tunnels. Totally worth the visit if you're anywhere near Kingston!

A fantastic experience that is well worth the visit. Tickets are a little pricy but its made up for with fantastic staff that are all very knowledgeable about the fort and the history of it plus the live drills they perform. On top of this the views offered from the fort are breathtaking. I'd argue this is thee place to visit for anything historical about Kingston if you only had one place you could visit, this would be the one I would choose hands down.

To be fair before I begin, when we visited we were in the middle of a crazy hot period in the summer (heat warnings were in place) and a lot of Fort Henry is open and exposed, so our enjoyment may have been muted a little bit. Aside from the heat however, the tour and experience was very satisfying. The guided tour was somewhat informative although our guide seemed a little newer as he didn’t have answers for all questions asked. The costumed staff were a nice touch, however more context on who they were or what their function was during the period was would have been nice. Bistro and shops seemed out of place and not fitting with the historical significance of the Fort which detracted from the visit. More information and context would have been nice.

This was first time back at Fort Henry since I was a kid back in 1996. The fort still looks the same. This was also my family’s first time visiting. We did the guided tour & the guide was a young lady who I can’t remember her name was so very knowledgeable, took time explaining everything in simple terms for the kids to understand. Only downside was the group was very large so it was a bit hard to hear her voice & see some of the places inside the fort. The canon firing was awesome to see & so was the other demonstrations & the final drum parade was amazing. One other thing the guide or the ticket agent didn’t mention was to stay off the canons so don’t climb on them or you will get yelled at by the staff as it happened to a few people.

Very interesting and informative museum that was once used during cold war and has jot been used since the early 90s. It has level 4 underground, seems simple from outside but it will bring you to new dimensions.

The amount of Canadian history crammed into this facility is amazing. It’s extremely well laid out and very very informative. We learned a lot about the Cold War era from the Canadian perspective. I highly recommend this facility. The staff were very friendly and the price is quite reasonable.

I’ve visited some pretty unusual places before, but this one ranks near the top! The sheer scope of this “secret” facility — built in less than 18 months back in 1959 — is absolutely mind-blowing. The Diefenbunker offers a fascinating glimpse into Cold War history, and it’s incredibly well-preserved. Our tour guide, Graham, a retired CSIS IT professional, was a superb storyteller. His anecdotes, humour, and passion really made the experience come alive — the perfect guide for a place that was never supposed to exist! If you’re anywhere near Ottawa, this is a must-see.

This is a great activity. An amazing piece of Canadian history. More than a museum considering the facility was actually in service up until early 1990s. It is a huge complex and there lots to see, and get lost. I would recommend a guided tour, but planning enough time before or after to roam around on your own too.

Great museum, I've been coming to this area for decades and only last year found our how close the bunker was to us. If you like history museums then this one is a must see. Mostly intact and well preserved, it will take about 3 hrs to walk, see and read the contents of the 4 floors. Lots of free parking and you can go have an awesome lunch at the Cheshire Cat just down the road.

This is trip to the past to understand better today’s events. Exiting walk trough the rooms where could be made so important decisions. It has much information about Cold War and the world of those years. Great museum which has to be attended!

Absolutely awesome tour! The bunker is in a time warp and the guided tour was extremely insightful on how soldiers and high command dignitaries as well as commanders operated in the bunker. The technology of running air and water systems was out of this world for the era of time. I would highly recommend the tour and a must see when visiting the Ottawa region! 10 stars if I could give it!

We had a beautiful day for a boat ride to Boldt Castle, and it did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The Castle itself is breathtaking — it’s been preserved in pristine condition. I didn’t see a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. It was so nice to explore at our own pace with the self-guided tour. Tip: Once you pass through Customs but before your ticket is scanned, grab one of the program guides available in both English and French — it really helps you navigate and learn about each area. The Gift Shop is also a must-visit for a great selection of souvenirs. Walking through the Castle was a humbling experience. It’s incredible to see the love George Boldt had for his wife, Louise — keep an eye out for the heart motifs throughout the décor. Wherever he could, he included them, and it adds a really touching layer to the visit. This tour is best suited for adults or interested young adults. There isn’t much to engage children under 13. Overall, I highly recommend making time for this excursion. It’s a perfect blend of history, romance, and stunning views.

When you go online to buy the tickets the very short ferry from the yacht house (where you park the car) to go to Boldt Castle (which is on its own island) is free. Do not be scammed by hotel people saying you can get a discount if you buy the tour. Unless you want to do a tour of the other island and go up and down the water. Otherwise the $32 entrance fee to the castle includes the yacht house, the ferry and the castle. All self guided. Download app to listen. The upper level still are not complete, but renovations are planned. The low levels and some rooms on the second level are renovated and looked really nice reflecting the actual blueprint. The grounds are gorgeous flowers everywhere, and beautiful colorful plants. Every window you look out of in the castle you can see a view of the water, which is amazing. You do get to go to the unfinished upper levels just to see what things look like, but really not much there. A small gift shop on the second floor… relatively moderately priced items. A nice way to spend the afternoon. I think the entire thing took maybe around two hours. Parking is also free. You do have to walk on gravel from the parking lot to the yacht house. So if you have walking disabilities, please note that it’s at least six 700 yards away. You can buy tickets online and save the QR code for each ticket purchased. The little fairy that goes back-and-forth from the castle comes every 15 minutes. When you’re at the actual castle, there’s a very small store that sells things like hotdogs/hamburgers if you are hungry. A very lovely home and will definitely be returning in the future to see what other renovations they have.

We visited Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House on June 29, 2025, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the views of the St. Lawrence River from the castle are absolutely stunning. We took our time exploring each floor, and the restored rooms and historical displays gave us a fascinating look into the Boldt family’s story and the castle’s unique history. The Yacht House was a surprise highlight – the collection of historic boats and the architecture itself were impressive, and the staff there were friendly and knowledgeable, answering our questions with genuine enthusiasm. We enjoyed walking around the docks and seeing the craftsmanship of the old wooden boats up close. There is plenty of space to wander, take photos, and enjoy the river breeze. It never felt crowded, and we appreciated the relaxing pace. The ferry ride to and from the castle was smooth and added to the experience with scenic views of the islands. If you are in the Thousand Islands area, Boldt Castle and the Yacht House are must-see attractions that offer a perfect mix of history, architecture, and natural beauty. Highly recommend spending a few hours here to take it all in.

It was so beautiful!! The staff were extremely nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. We even came upon a proposal at the shell fountain and she said yes! They looked so happy. The boat ride is very short and the docks easy to navigate. The paths are kept clear of debris and the map was easy to follow. I would highly recommend!!!

This place was so amazing. Every single staff member was so sweet. It was just breathtakingly beautiful!!! The gardens, the inside, the outside, you could easily spend an entire day here! My only complaint was that the gift shop was kinda lame. I definitely want to renew my vows here in a few years.

We visited Boldt Castle in the summer, and it was beautiful. We loved the landscaping and the architecture, but the true story behind the "home" was heartbreaking. Walking through the castle felt like trespassing in a shrine to a life that never got to be lived. If you're a Downton Abbey or Gilded Age fan, you don't want to miss this one!

Such an amazing piece of history to visit and story to learn. They have restored a good portion of the castle and other buildings and the grounds are also beautiful. What a wonderful way to spend a beautiful summer afternoon. We were lucky it was not too busy and were able to appreciate the beauty of Heart island. We did a 5-hour excursion from Rockport which included a 3 hour stop at the island. Well worth it!

$5 tour is worth doing if you have a short time to visit but definitely could spend a whole day here! The cafe is affordable and the outside patio is a good break from the intense subject matter. The veteran's exhibit is a quiet place to contemplate in between learning about war as well. The building itself is a work of art along with the many pieces inside. Go downstairs to see the Viny Ridge plasters for sure and talk to others to gain insight!

After so many years living in the Ottawa Gatineau area I finally decided to visit this museum. I was very much surprised and impressed because I thought it might be a stale atmosphere because of the theme of the museum. I can honestly say it’s very well set up and very nicely organized. If you’re interested in the history of war, this is the place to come. 👍😎

A great place to visit if you want to learn more about Canada’s war history. There are many weapons and artifacts on display that vividly tell the story of past conflicts. The environment is clean, spacious, and well-organized, making it an engaging and educational experience.

Absolutely incredible museum from an information and visual perspective. It starts with four separate rooms explaining each era of Canadian war history with incredible artifacts and detailed descriptions of what occurred. Each area is very well down and then as you move to the end there is a whole floor filled with tanks and other military vehicles throughout the years of both Canadian and international origin. The museum does an amazing job of bringing war to life and helping you appreciate the scale of the wars and the equipment used. A can't miss if you are in Ottawa, however be prepared to spend a good three hours here.

Best free tour in Ottawa! I am biased as librarianship is my field of expertise but truly the library of parliament is one of the most beautiful libraries I have ever stepped into. The tour of Parliament is a great way to learn more about Canadian history especially how the government and legislative branch operates, I highly recommend it!

It’s a canal of historic importance to Canada. There’s not much to do about it though, especially if it’s not frozen for skating. And I was only really able to get subpar pictures from the sides

Tourist in ottowa ! You need to see this . This is a place you want to see in summers and in winters. The vibe here is very nice - full atmosphere for a family outing plus amazing food options by the street . The walk around canal is amazing , you can take a walk by water , by the canal , you can walk over bridge to Quebec. Whole area is scenic and beautiful. You can also go for a run or ride a bike here . Additionally - these all places in Rideau Canal area are pet friendly too . So you can go for a walk with your pets on amazing trails . The o my struggle you may face is parking - which you can find if you drive around for 2-3 mins . Overall , this is the place to start your day in ottowa as a tourist and your day will pass by itself . If you are interested you can see when canal goes down and how water is balanced too.

It was an interesting tour, we learned some history. They use an electric boat. The way it's built does not allow you to enjoy the view, the seats face each other. Our guide had a good sense of humor, kept making jokes. There's is a toilet and bar on board.

Must visit place when in Ottawa. Boat ride or cycling whatever you prefer is a good way to spend time around the canal. There are not many places to park so look for parking options.

This is a 202 km long canal linking the Ottawa River in Ottawa to Lake Ontario in Kingston. It was constructed between 1826 to 1832 and includes 46 locks, raising boats 83 metres upstream to Rideau Lakes & lowering 50 metres back down to Kingston. The Rideau Canal is a UNESO World Heritage Site and considered to be the best preserved 'slackwater' canal in North America. You can view locks 1-8 directly from Plaza Bridge. This is a great spot for picture taking and to look at the mechanics of the canal from up close. Really neat bit of sightseeing in the the city centre of Ottawa, convenient to include along with intended attractions around Parliament Hill.

This was one of the prettiest places in Ottawa to sightsee, the view was most extraordinary.

We stayed one night in a pod in the village from a Sunday to a Monday last week and went through the park two days of our visit. Our family had a wonderful time. The pod was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Our kids liked staying in the loft. Staff were friendly and provided clear information. We had our dinner by the campfire and were visited by many deer. Be sure to bring plenty of carrots for both driving through the park and for the visitors to your pod if you’re staying here. Highly recommend going to the morning wolf education session if you stay overnight. It was far less busy than the one we attended in the daytime within the park. The staff at the educational sessions were knowledgeable and answered our kids’ questions following the session. The animals here seemed well cared for and their enclosures were big enough that you might not necessarily see them all, for example to see the wolves you are likely best to attend one of the educational sessions where they come out to be fed. The elk you will most definitely see a lot of approaching your car for carrots which is very entertaining. We enjoyed the little trail around the trout pond. We hope to return again someday.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Parc Omega Parc Omega is a must visit for any animal lover! We stayed for two nights in one of the 1400 square foot chalets located in the wolf area, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. The accommodations were spotless, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed,it honestly felt like a home away from home. We brought our own groceries from Metro and enjoyed cooking some delicious meals right in the chalet. It was the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. As for the Parc itself, it’s very well maintained and offers a great variety of animals to see up close. From elk and bison to arctic wolves, every encounter was memorable. The hiking trails were a nice bonus, peaceful, scenic, and a great way to stretch your legs after the drive-through portion. Overall, we highly recommend Parc Omega. It’s a unique experience that blends nature, wildlife, and comfort beautifully. We’ll definitely be back!

Love this park!!! The ticket is totally worth it! The views of the park itself is beautiful, very spacious. There are couple of stops that you can hike and enjoy the view, also some tables for picnic. The animals are well taken care of, they look happy and have enough space to run around.

it is one of the best safari parks I've ever been to - an amazing experience for all ages who love animals and nature. The whole park is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully divided into different zones for various animals, making each part of the drive exciting. Deer are basically everywhere, even right from the entrance! We arrived before 11am., and it was already packed with friendly deer eagerly waiting for carrots. But don't let them fool you - save your carrots, because there're plenty more deer throughout the park. Or you could buy carrots later in the shops in Zone 11. We brought about 10 pounds of carrots and found it best to cut them into halves or quarters so the smaller deer can eat easily. Zone 4 is where you can take a trail walk by the lake and we also went to Zone 11 to watch the wolf presentation, which was both fascinating and educational, and enjoyed some surprisingly good poutine at Zone 11,too. another quick tip : when you reach the first gate that says "Parc Omega", drive straight in - the ticket check comes afterward. If you're staying overnight, then you turn left at that first gate for the accommodations. It's truly a full-day adventure, and if your budget allows, staying in the Deer Cabin or Wolf Lodge makes it even more unforgettable.

Written in September. Wonderful place for kids. The animals come to eat right from the car. It's recommended to buy 2 large bags of carrots and bring them. It's worth buying tickets on Black Friday when the price is lower. The fall foliage was very beautiful- with a great short hike.

I tried to buy tickets in advance for a discount, but the website was having issues. I ended up having to pay the regular price at the entrance. The park lets you feed deer which is a really funny experience. You can buy your own carrots at the supermarket for cheaper. There is a drive-through safari where the deers are and we also saw boars and bison. Some animals are caged in like the wolves, coyote, foxes, bears, wolverine, prairie dogs and horses. The arctic wolf enclosure wasn't visible due to construction work and the grey wolves werent near the lookout so we couldn't see them. The wolf presentation at 12pm didn't happen for some unknown reason. For a safari of this price, I find the variety of animals to be a bit lacking. Also, the cart ride to the farm was closed without notice, and people were lining up for 20 minutes just to be told it was closed. The farm only had alpaca, and the feeder was broken and ate a woman's coin. If not for the deer feeding part, it would've been a worse experience overall due to management issues.

Parc Omega is a self-drive wildlife safari located near Montebello, about an hour from Ottawa or Montreal. You drive through 12 km of beautiful landscapes forests, lakes, and open fields while getting incredibly close to Canadian wildlife. * You can feed deer and elk right from your car window bring your own carrots (lots of them).We also saw moose, bison, wolves, bears, and arctic foxes. * The park is open year-round and offers different activities each season like dog-sledding and snowshoeing in winter, or bird shows and walking trails in summer. * They even have unique overnight stays,glass-fronted cabins where you can sleep next to a wolf enclosure! * Family-friendly with picnic spots, a small farm, play areas, and well-kept facilities. Tips: * Arrive early to avoid the crowd and enjoy the peaceful environment. * Be cautious when feeding animals, some have large antlers and can bump your car. * Plan 3–5 hours for a relaxed visit and to explore both the drive and walking trails.

What a great hidden gem ! Was extremely surprised with all the great exhibits in the main hall and also the amount of live exhibits (otters, fish, turtles, snakes). The grounds are very well kept and maintained. The paths for walking thru the woods and outdoor exhibits were flat and easy with very very few tripping hazards (I mean you are in the woods !) . Would highly recommend this for adults and children

Absolutely amazing place! The Wild Center is a perfect mix of nature, science, and hands-on fun. We loved exploring the interactive exhibits inside — they’re so engaging for both kids and adults. The outdoor trails and the Wild Walk are breathtaking, with stunning views of the Adirondacks and treetop bridges that make you feel part of nature. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and everything was well organized and clean. A fantastic spot to learn, explore, and enjoy the beauty of the natural world.

This is a great place for all ages, and abilities! I brought my 92 year old Grandma, in a wheelchair, on oxygen...I myself am disabled, and need assistance with walking. We were able to access everything, except for the big cutout tree, with the swaying, narrow bridges. They also have a large, BEAUTIFUL, gift shop where I spent quite a bit buying unique gifts for family members! The otters really are a joy to watch in their large, nice, tank! They have other animals too.... Lots of fish, and turtles! All of this is indoors! They have a little movie theater that shows films about the adks, sky, and others! They have an indoor restaurant. They have otter feeding shows too! There are many hands on activities for kids! When you're done with everything inside, you go back where the parking lot is and the wild walk is on the other side of the parking lot... You could do walk first if you want.. There is a booth when you first pull in, where you buy tickets. It was 50.00 for Gram and I ($26.00 adult, and $24.00 senior)... You can buy the tickets online if you want and save $1.00 per ticket! I was able to push my Gram right up the wild walk and we got to see the large "bald eagle nest", and the huge spiderweb that kids were having so much fun on! This place is so educational... Even along the walk, there are signs about different birds, and how stuff is made. One section has a cool game with spinners, you can play! The also have a mini gift shop along the walk! I highly recommend visiting this place! My Grandma thought it was pricey to get in, until she started seeing everything, and after we left she said she would have paid double to go! Enjoy your visit!

This place is so cool! We had no idea how much stuff there was to do, I could have spent all day in there. The indoor portions are really neat, especially the big globe thing. There’s otters and ducks inside, which was so fun. The outdoor portions are really is so nice, with the treetop stuff and the water access. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. I wish I had come here as a child. Also, the gift shop rules.

The best naturalist visitor center that I've ever experienced! The aquariums, displays, live animals (Fish, wood ducks, Falcon) were amazing. The variety of displays and information provided are Fantastic!! The educational hiking trails and Raquette wooden ball roll platforms made a 62 year old feel like I was a kid again. Additionally the canopy walk was spectacular and easy enough for everyone. Best experience of the trip!

What a beautiful experience this was, especially with the leaves changing color—it made the visit even more special. There’s so much to do for both children and adults. Outside, we enjoyed about five aerial attractions, including a bird’s nest, trampoline, and bird game. There was also live music under a tent, a mile-long walk with around a dozen interactive handmade ball games, and unique playgrounds, all crafted with care. Inside the museum, we found engaging exhibits and living creatures to view, along with plenty of hands-on activities that encouraged learning for children. The gift shops were spacious and well-stocked, and the small café offered affordable food and beverages, which was a nice surprise. Every staff member we met was kind and welcoming. We went on Community Day, so admission was free, but the experience was truly priceless. This is a wonderful place for families, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and meaningful outing.

Very fun experience! I highly recommend! Stopped here on a road trip from Missouri. The music forest is so enchanting so be sure to check that out! The wild walk was so fun to explore everything, made me feel like a kid! Very friendly staff as well!

When we first got to the toll booth, we saw visibility was 0 miles. Waited a half hour and decided to try again and it was totally clear! $45 for 2 of us to get up in the car, we took the elevator up and climbed the stairs down. Chilly at the summit so dress with layers. A few scenic pulloffs on the way up. Gift shop, restaurant, and bathrooms at the top. Beautiful views!

Breathtaking views, not overcrowded. Amazing hiking trails. Please bring your insect repellent as when we visit on September 16th it had a lot of insects flying everywhere that we have never seen before. HAVE TO WEAR PROPER SHOES!

We had a fantastic time visiting during fall peak season! We drove to the top and arrived around 10 a.m., finding ample parking available. The scenic drive up was stunning, with breathtaking views at every turn. The hike from the parking lot to the summit was enjoyable, but we appreciated knowing that an elevator was available for those who need it. The tunnel to the elevator is worth exploring, even if you don't plan to use it. We loved stopping at the scenic overlooks along the way, and our picnic on the way down was the perfect way to cap off the visit. The elevator ride to the top of the mountain offers spectacular 360-degree views. With clear weather, the views were simply incredible. Only con I would say is the tickets were pricey. It was $45 for 2 people.

Whiteface Mountain is absolutely breathtaking! The views from the top are stunning and totally worth the trip. The ascent is very safe — the path is fully lined with railings, making it easy to hold on while enjoying the scenery. The entrance fee is $25 per car and driver, plus $20 per passenger. After passing the toll, you drive up to the upper parking lot, and from there it’s a short, 25–30 minute hike to the summit. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature and spectacular mountain views!

Took us 8.5 hours with breaks. Be aware that it is very easy to lose the trail and you need to be careful to stay on it despite the lack of signs. The views are amazing and the area is beautiful.

We went on a quick roadtrip here it cost us 25$ for the first person, second was 15$,third 10$ for the entrance then we drove up the hill it was very scenic and you can make stops to take pictures or just to enjoy the view. Once at the top you have the option to walk up the natural rocky trail to get to the peak or you can catch the elevator down the tunnel and it brings you up faster Free of charge! There is a castle also with a gift shop and a little food shop and with bathrooms ! The peak was amazing and breathtaking very picturesque views!!

The views were spectacular. Took a star off due to the steep toll, $25 per driver +$20 per additional adult, kids over the age of 7 also have a fee, though I don’t know what it is. We should’ve hiked 😂. Also, around peak foliage, arrive early. There are limited parking spots at the top, and there can be long lines just to park.

It was my first experience with American-style parks, and it was truly unique compared to what we have in Europe. So spacious! Absolutely stunning! The park is beautiful and has such a peaceful, relaxing vibe. It’s the perfect spot to read a book, enjoy a picnic, or simply take a walk and soak in the natural surroundings. I highly recommend it! Update: I visited today (December 21) and it was beyond gorgeous! The park was blanketed in snow, creating a true winter wonderland. There’s an ice skating rink with an incredible view of the frozen lake right in front of it. There’s also a cozy building with a restaurant on the second floor, perfect for grabbing a snack or hot drink during your skating break. On the first floor, you’ll find lockers for your things and a small shop where you can rent skates. Plus, there’s a great spot near the rink for tobogganing, and it’s totally free (bring your own toboggan though). I can’t recommend this place enough, no matter the season!

Took my dog out for a walk and we were searching for a patch of grass in Montreal downtown and ended up on top of Mount Royal. It was so beautiful. Totally an unplanned hike. Thankfully carried my dog’s water bottle as always. Please carry a bottle of water if you plan to hike this. We went up via the hiking trail pathway and came down via the steps. I think that would be the easiest way to do as you might get tired going all the way up, checking all the points and then you simply have to come down via the steps. Thanks to Google map, I was able to check out every noteworthy view point on top of the mountain. I heard there is one more side to it. Perhaps, another time. Overall it was very clean and gorgeous and Montreal is lucky to have this downtown! I mean those who live there could jog here or hike everyday! There seemed to be a place on top with coffee shop and restrooms but I believe they didn’t allow dogs so we couldn’t enter. Wish Montreal as such was more dog friendly.

A great hike and a wonderful lookout! I’m not sure if I went to a different part but everyone is talking about stairs in the reviews and I didn’t encounter a single one to get to the lookout located at the chalet on the map. It’s stunning and feels like you’re far away from the city on the trail. The park is beautiful and has some cool sculptures.

Really pretty in the winter, snow covered and all! Seems to be an incredibly popular spot for families. It was around -10° when I visited, but the park was packed with families skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, etc. Fun for all ages! I did try snow tubing, but after climbing up the steps, I was absolutely exhausted. I did fall off the tube once, and the gentleman overseeing the lanes was an absolute gentleman. He helped me up and got me out safely and quickly - in multiple languages. Would love to come back to explore some more, in a time crunch, I was only able to see a couple of landmarks.

Our visit to Mount Royal Park was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we started our walk up the mountain, we were captivated by the natural beauty surrounding us. It took just about 5-10 minutes to reach the scenic overlook, and the panoramic view of the entire city was absolutely breathtaking—definitely worth the short hike. After soaking in the views, we continued our adventure to the lake on the opposite side of the mountain, which was another pleasant 10-15 minute walk. The lush greenery and peaceful atmosphere made the journey enjoyable. Once we reached the lake, we decided to rent a paddle boat, which was such a fun and relaxing experience. For just 22 CAD, we spent a delightful 30 minutes on the water, enjoying the serene environment and the company of each other. The entire experience was both beautiful and refreshing, offering a perfect blend of nature and recreation. Whether you’re looking to take in stunning city views, enjoy a peaceful walk, or have some fun on the water, Mount Royal Park is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal!

Had a bit of extra time one morning on a recent first visit to the wonderful city of Montreal. I discovered that it boasted a botanical garden (one of my favorite things since visiting Australia where every major city seems to have one); even though there was a modest fee for entering, I decided to take the short metro ride to visit. Great decision! Whether the Chinese Garden (probably the most impressive area), the Japanese Garden, or the Alpine Garden, or any of the gorgeous “generic” vistas in abundance there, beautiful nature, sometimes carefully arranged, other times not, washed over me like a cool breeze. I walked my legs off but the sore feet and legs at the end of the day were worth the effort. Such a lovely place that cannot be missed. And make sure you stop by the cafe there. Not pedestrian burgers and fries but well-crafted sandwiches and delicious soup among other choices. I had a lovely vegetable sandwich on focaccia and a cauliflower and beetroot soup which was heavenly. Plus you get a great view of the Olympic Stadium while you’re there. Go! You’ll thank me for it.

My wife and I visited the Jardin botanique de Montréal during our trip, and we absolutely loved it. The gardens are stunning, you can tell how much care and attention goes into maintaining the place. There’s so much to see, from colorful flower beds to themed gardens. The Chinese and Japanese gardens were the highlights for us, both are so peaceful and beautifully designed. Be prepared to do quite a bit of walking, though. The place is large, and it’s easy to lose track of time while exploring. We spent about half a day there but could have easily spent a full day if we weren’t on a tight schedule. Unfortunately, we missed the Garden of Lights in the evening, which I’ve heard is amazing. If you love nature, photography, or just want a relaxing day surrounded by greenery, this is a great place to visit. I’d actually recommend setting aside two days if you can, since there are other attractions nearby and it’s nice not to rush. Overall, a beautiful and peaceful experience that’s definitely worth it.

We got ticket to see Jardin des lumierd show and those tickets give us access during the day too. In one day we visit two times the Botanical garden. The garden is organized in different areas and you have Japanese garden, Chinese Garden , alpine garden etc. Great walk and great view - flowers , nature and nice design of the garden. You need around 2 hours to make the tour. For Night tour the show was excellent with lights , music and spectacular moments on Japanese garden and Chinese one. The lampions in Chinese garden are well designed and provide a deep dive on Chinese culture. If you can go for it - depending of season think about hot cloths for the night session.

Beautiful garden, amazing experience with the garden of lights exhibition. I was never much of a fan of botanical gardens but this one was absolutely magical and the whole area is just gorgeous, a great photo spot and a nice walk around with interesting exhibits. We can right around sundown, which was absolutely lovely and stayed until the lightshow started, then it got too crowded, hence I would recommend coming sooner, if possible.

What a BEAUTIFUL place! Natural settings abound here! Peaceful oasis in the city of Montreal! Words are not adequate to describe what this place holds. Try weekday visits if possible; also the botanical sculpture of Mother Nature is no longer present for a long time now..., years... so do not base your visit on that! Worthy to be placed on a trip itinerary for Montreal.

An extraordinary world class botanical garden including a series of interconnected greenhouses covering multiple sensitive zones and outdoor gardens sectioned into specialized gardens many with special features such as ponds, buildings, gazebos and arbours. My particular favorites included the indigenous garden, alpine, and medicinal and food gardens. Other cultural gardens such as China and Japan easily stand on their own and are worth exploring for hours at a time. Rather than rushing, plan two days to visit if possible, or return often. Also keep an eye open for the night displays of lights that occur on certain occasions. And take time to visit the vegetarian friendly restaurant on site. Easily accessible by public transit and ample parking on site.

Visiting the Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montreal was already high on our list, but the AURA light show elevated the experience into something truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped inside, the neo-Gothic architecture wrapped us in a sense of awe—towering columns, intricate woodwork, and stained glass that seemed to whisper centuries of history. Then came AURA. The show begins with a self-guided walk through the Basilica, where subtle lighting and ambient sound bring the art and architecture to life. It’s like the building itself is breathing. And then, the main event: a 20-minute multimedia spectacle that transforms the Basilica’s interior into a canvas of light, color, and sound. The projections danced across the vaulted ceilings and ornate altar, synchronized perfectly with a dramatic musical score. At times, it felt like we were inside a living painting—one moment evoking the serenity of nature, the next pulsing with cosmic energy. The use of lasers and animation was tasteful and powerful, never overwhelming, and always respectful of the sacred space. 🎶 The Casavant organ’s deep tones added a majestic layer to the experience, and the transitions between scenes were seamless. Whether you're spiritual or simply appreciate art and architecture, AURA is a must-see. It’s not just a show—it’s a celebration of light, history, and imagination. Highly recommend catching an evening performance to feel the full impact. We left with goosebumps and a renewed appreciation for how technology can enhance—not replace—human creativity.

While the advertisements for the AURA experience are stunning, it holds no candle in comparison to sitting in one of the pews. The AURA show tells a story, and it is beautifully captured within the walls of the Notre-Dame. Seating is based on first to enter, so if you wish to sit closer, show up early to wait in line outside. There really isn't a bad seat if you can manage to get in a center pew. If you arrive closer to the starting time, you will likely be disappointed in your seats as it isn't ideal and you are further left or right. Some of the pews are sectioned off as you won't be able to see anything due to pillars and structures blocking the main focal point. Once the show starts, photographs and videos are prohibited, and I can completely understand why. It gets very dark around the floor and pews, so any light from phones can become a major distraction and potentially ruin the experience. They also have the option for you to light a candle in memory of a loved one. It completely adds to the experience and provides a level of comfort that makes everything even more special. They had four-day candles that were approximately ten dollars, while the LEDs cost two dollars and only last for the duration of your stay. The show itself lasts about a half an hour; I was slightly confused on the Fever website when purchasing tickets we it said the duration was three hours. Regardless of the time it takes, every minute was worth it. This experience offers up some stunning imagery in tandem with holistic audio. It's an incredible, spiritual experience and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Montréal who has the opportunity to do so - religious or not.

It is not big and will not take much time to check out all unless you want to pray. I did not see the light show though, but its stunning architecture, intricate interior design, and historical significance amazed me. With the interior along with seeing people talk in low voices, made it feel like a sacred place to sit and think quietly. For me, it is one of the most amazing experiences one can have.

It was our first experience attending an aura show in a church, and it was truly wonderful. The church is huge, very old, and beautifully maintained. Even though the place was full for the show, the well-organized staff made everything easy and comfortable. The show lasted about 25 minutes, which felt just right. The sound system and lighting were of excellent quality, creating a perfect atmosphere for the performance. Note that photos and videos are not allowed during the show. Parking can be a bit tricky, so it’s best to find a paid parking spot nearby and arrive early to get a good seat in the middle section. Overall, a great experience and definitely recommended!

The Basilica is beautiful. We went for the evening light show and were a little disappointed. Again, beautiful building but the show was just ok. I think we would have both been happier just seeing the architecture and details and hearing the history of the building. The show just didn't seem to have a theme, one part may have depicted the change of the seasons but that was about it. I wouldn't see the show again but would love to walk through the Basilica during the day.

Wonderful place to visit and be still with God. Make sure you plan an hour to view all the displays. Recommend to get a guide or rent the audio guide that explains all the key displays. The small chapel behind the main sanctuary is nice to visit as well. Overall I don't think you will be disappointed if you are into catholic and Christian religion.

It was a wonderful experience visiting this church. It made me feel truly amazed. Learning about its history made it even more meaningful. Although part of the building is under renovation, every corner of the church is full of beautiful and intricate details. Even though there were a lot of people inside, most were very respectful. However, I did notice one or two people trying to take photos inside the prayer room, which was disappointing. I think it would be helpful if someone could guide visitors near the prayer area to remind them to be quiet and respectful. After I finished praying, people continued to take photos and talk, which made me feel a bit upset. Overall, it was an incredible experience to visit such a stunning and historic building in Montreal. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

This place is a must visit. Such an awe- inspiring work of nature at its best. The sound of water, the way the nature has carved the stones will last in your memory for a long time. You have various packages to choose from depending on your interest and your group range. You can do trials, river walk, adventure walk, rafting, tubing. Be sure to check the age and height of kids while purchasing the tickets. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The guides are so knowledgeable. They answer all your questions and give suggestions on what more you can see in the neighborhood. You will definitely enjoy all of the activities here. The Rafting and tubing are good for kids and adults who would prefer light ones and not rapids. The shuttle runs frequently and has multiple drop you off locations. The parking is big. Overall you will never regret this trip.

This is a very magical place. It’s been on my list for a while but I was skeptical because of its status at a tourist destination. I was not disappointed! Well worth the entrance fee and plenty to do. Amazing hiking and picture taking opportunities everywhere! We hiked around the entire rim and it was fun and exciting each step of the way. There are rafting and ropes/climbing opportunities that we didn’t partake in, but they looked like a blast. This place is a wonderland and I’d definitely return for more if it’s enjoyment. If you’re in the fence, go for it! You won’t regret being immersed in this natural wonder.

Ausable Chasm was on the list to visit while in the Adirondacks and it did not disappoint. It was truly a fun and extraordinary place to visit. From hiking the scenic trails along the sandstone walls to floating down the river between the cliffs, every part of the experience was incredible. The views are breathtaking and the combination of adventure and natural beauty makes it unforgettable. Whether you’re looking for an easy walk, a more adventurous hike, or tubing through the gorge, Ausable Chasm has something for everyone. Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.

This was the perfect long weekend get away. The fall was a wonderful time to go. The water levels were low but still beautiful. While there the trees changed colors, the sun was shining and a gorgeous mid 60s day. It's worth the extra cost to pay for the boat and river walk. The staff were great, fun, and informative. It made for an awesome birthday weekend. Our family will go again sometime and highly recommend it.

Ausable Chasm was an extraordinary experience—we really loved it! We were hoping to go tubing, but the water level was too low the day we went, so we couldn’t. Instead, we did the rafting. It was a small, simple ride because of the low water, but still enjoyable. What made the trip amazing were the hikes—we walked the trails, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. I totally recommend visiting. It was such a lovely and memorable place to see.

After moving to the Adirondack area several months ago, the Ausable Chasm was definitely on my bucket list. My daughter came over from Rochester, and we drove up to the park. We left Jasper at home as this park is not dog friendly, and once you are on the trails you will see why. We did have a little bit of a wait to buy our tickets, but the website warned of the wait if we went during that time period. Everyone was super nice and helpful. We hiked the trail, which offered many beautiful views including waterfall, canyons, and many rapids. Definitely stop by the Elephant Face rock formation. It was really cool. Anyway, we followed the trail to the raft, where we waited about 30 min (again, website forwarded of a wait time during certain hours so we were prepared). We boarded the raft, went through the chasm and she rapids, and ended the hike by taking the trolley back. If I had to do it over again I would have hiked back. The canyons were very cool with a nice breeze. I thoroughly enjoyed the views and the atmosphere. The gift shop was nice as well. I think this is a must do for any Adirondack trip!

This is a beautiful summer outing with float trips available as well as a heart fluttering ropes course traversing the chasm. For those who enjoy their feet planted solidly on the ground, there are also lovely walking trails. If you want a free experience take a walk outside to see Rainbow Falls and the hydro dam, or up on the bridge for breath taking views.

We stopped in Burlington on our way home from a long driving trip to Canada. We stayed at a Hampton inn nearby and drove into town to look around and have dinner. Before dinner, we walked along Church Street, a pedestrian only street, looking at all the bars and restaurants. A really lively area full of happy people.

My wife and I visited Church Street Marketplace while we were in Burlington. Thought the concept was nice, and there were definitely plenty of shops and eateries. There was also live performances when we were there. It's a nice walk, and you can definitely spend a couple of hours there easily. Some of the surrounding area is not necessarily in the best shape, but I think that is true with most downtown areas.

I love church street! The vibe, people, and atmosphere are all welcoming, and friendly! I live in NY but have visited church street for shopping, tattoos, food, and this time a piercing at The Prik! Church Street is dog friendly! There are no vehicles, or parking right on church street... But their are multiple parking garages. If you are handicap, and show your tag, parking is free. We went on Labor Day this last visit, and parking was free for everyone in the parking garages for the holiday! A great place to spend the day!

Loved this during the day! Busy area with lots of shops and patios. At night it's beautiful with the string lights and the banners. Plenty of dog friendly areas and stores.

This is the most touristy spot in Burlington. It’s a walkway pavement that spans over five to six blocks, with excellent options for dining and shopping. Alongside some of the popular restaurants, they also have iconic Vermont brand stores like Vermont Bear Factory, Vermont Flannel Shop and Ben & Jerry. We also visited a Patagonia store, a bookstore, Catamount store for apparel and gifts, and bunch of other stores. Prices are decent, some stores have sales and discounts. It appeared decently safe, though there were some homeless people around the marketplace. The street parkings need to be paid with ParkMobile app during the posted hours. There are several hotels only few minutes walk from this place. There’s also a parking lot nearby that offers 2 hours of free parking.

The guided 30-minute tour starts with a short and quirky video about Ben and Jerry's history and company values. Then you'll head to a glass-enclosed upper deck overlooking the production floor. Be aware that live production isn't always happening, so you may not see the factory in full swing. You have a chance to get a free sample of the flavor of the day. While the tour is short, there's plenty to do on the grounds. You can browse the gift shop for exclusive merchandise and flavors. The most popular highlight for many is the Flavor Graveyard, a hillside cemetery for discontinued flavors. There's also a playground for kids and picnic areas, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy ice cream.

A fun place to visit. They had almost all Ben n Jerry flavors available to order by scoop and customize further if you prefer. I thought they might have special flavors or early release flavors but they didn't have anything like that. It's still fun to mix and match from a lot of flavors. We got there late so we couldn't see the cemetery of flavors.

We had a fun time with the 15-min tour (6 dollars per person and you have to book in advance)! The decorations inside the shop are cute. We didn't buy in the store or the icecream shop, but it's good to know that they don't ask for tips in the shop. Very fun activity for families with kids or a school field trip.

Sweet & Fun Ben & Jerry’s Factory Tour! A must for ice cream lovers! The tour was short but packed with fun facts, a peek at production, and of course, a delicious sample. Loved the Flavor Graveyard and gift shop too. The staff was upbeat, the vibe was joyful, and the ice cream? Perfect as always. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun stop in Vermont, this tour is 100% worth it. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the giant flavor tub outside! 5 scoops out of 5—would tour (and taste) again! 🍦😊

We actually had a very good experience here. We didn’t have to pre-register for the (overpriced for what it was) tour and our tour only had 6 people on it so it was very personal. It didn’t hurt that our tour guide was clever and engaging. The next tour was much more full and their guide not so great. The tour has been well-described in other reviews so I won’t go into it. Gift shop = way overpriced. Way, way overpriced. You can buy ice cream there but it, too, is overpriced. Rather get it from a grocery store. I enjoyed the clever signs in the flavor graveyard.

The Ben and Jerry's factory tour was about 30 minutes: a video, an overview of the production line and the flavor lab (sampling of one newer flavor). The ice cream flavors graveyard has no lighting at all. It was a little tricky to find it in the dark (it's very dark by 5:00 pm in November), a little bit lighting will be helpful and safer for the visitors. It would be nice to see a showcase of all the available flavors in the market. Overall, it's a fun family activity.

This was a bucket list experience for a long time now. While I can't say I regularly eat Ben and Jerry's, I have bought and tried many of their flavors over the years. It is seriously good ice cream. This place is definitely a tourist location so be prepared for it being busy. While the factory tour itself is a little less than impressive, it was still neat to go though it. I justl love the quirkiness of Ben and Jerry's.

Granby zoo is a nice place to take the family out for some fun discovering the animals, enjoying rides at the amusement park and water park sections. If you plan on doing everything that the zoo offers it is best to go early. The time I went there, traffic just to get in the park lot was crazy. It's probably best to park at the P1 zoo or P2 zoo parking lots and then take the shuttle to the zoo, its a long wait for the main zoo parking lot, I parked on the street. Entry fee for the zoo is expensive for a family of 4 depending on the children's age can cost $200 around. As usual when you go to the zoo the animals love to be away from the sun, hiding somewhere in the shade (not at animals). Overall good experience. Didn't go to the amusement park. The water park was really packed, the water temp was fine and the kids had lots of fun. The only issue i had is the parking and the crowds. Granby zoo is excellent. Buy your tickets online so u don't have to wait in line

Went with my wife to Granby Zoo near Montreal on a late Sunday. The zoo is divided into different continents, which makes walking through the animal exhibits really fun. I thought it was especially cool that you can pet the goats at the petting area, a great activity for couples or families. A few of the cages were missing animals during our visit, which was a bit disappointing, but the parking lot was very easy to use and right by the entrance. The entrance fee is on the pricey side, so I’d recommend visiting in the summer when the water park is open, it really makes the day feel worth it. Overall, Granby Zoo is a fun, educational outing with lots to see, and it’s a great way to spend a full day exploring animals and exhibits.

Pros: The zoo is an open concept, you will get to come face to face with a lot of animals without having a glass barrier and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to pet one of them! Cons: Worst zoo I’ve probably seen in my entire life. 1- Confusing map, and no signs whatsoever to tell you where you at. Just walk in and once you reach a habitat you will find a sign with which habitat. 2- Most habitats are either closed ot empty, one visit you’ll see 10% of the animals available. 3- Tickets are way too overpriced for such a zoo. I’d say 20$ is a max for such a zoo. Do not buy food there, its a rip off, one burger “patty, lettuce, tomato” trio with barely any fries and one poutine were 37$!!! 4- Animals look in a very bad condition, some of them even live in a 2x2m cubicles with limited access to nature and fake trees everywhere. 5- No surveillance whatsoever, a lot of minorities were just screaming at the animals, a lot of these animals have sensitive hearing, at least put a sign to warn others since some people feel entitled and are disrespectful to these species. There are more issues with this zoo but i just wanted to share the most important ones. It’s absolutely not recommended to visit there, go to a pet shop you will probably see more animals there! Pictures below will give an idea of the fake trees, dead ones which aren’t much cared for, and the conditions of some animals and how they are locked in tiny cubicles.

Was a nice place. We got there after lunch when it was hot outside so naturally the animals were mostly chilling or sleeping in the shade. The aquarium was amazing. The rays touch tank was the highlight of the zoo. Those little rats are the puppies of the ocean. Could have stayed for days loving those amazing creatures.

Amazing place for a family outing and to help the kids get familier and closer with animals and nature. Really enjoyed our time there. Its a must to go place. They (the zoo) also have an amusement park and a water park with various rides. I took combined tickets for the zoo and amusement park. Kids really enjoyed and loved it. They are already ready to go there again next time. They also have a hotel if you are looking to stay for a night or two to enjoy all three activities. I will be going back soon. It was truly unbelievable – an amazing lifetime memory! Thank you, thank you, thank you! September turned out to be the perfect time to visit: no lines, comfortable weather – not too hot, not too cold – and all the animals were out enjoying the sunshine. A special thank you for providing dedicated rooms for mothers to feed their little ones – such a thoughtful detail. Everything was simply wonderful, and we will definitely be coming back in a few years! Thank you once again.

This is a great little spot that you can experience a little Christmas magic anytime of the year. We have been here in July and we have been here in December and it is fun, exciting and magical each time. The winter time is obviously a little more magical given the theme of establishment However, more of the rides are closed down at that time. The staff are super friendly. It doesn’t matter if it’s a ride attendant, a groundskeeper or a person working in one of the food establishments. They are always incredibly friendly. This place is definitely worth a trip, but make sure you get your online tickets before you arrive because they only allow a certain number of people per day. They do not sell tickets at the gate you must have purchased them beforehand. I actually really like this because it significantly reduces the amount of people in the park each day and your line lines are way short shorter. This place is worth a visit, go check it out

The hype is real. This is the best family park in the entire country. It's honestly such a fun and relaxed environment. It's nice to go to a theme park where the employees do not act like they are 1 bad interaction away from walking out. I really enjoyed the elf scavenger hut. I did it without a map just to extend my time and to explore more. I spent about 5 hours at the park and managed to do everything. My only complaint is that I wish there was just 1 solid thrilling flat ride. Like an inverting frisbee ride or something like that. Everything here is geared towards very small children. I feel like there are plenty of kids who enjoy solid thrills too. They don't need some big crazy coaster, just 1 cool and interesting flat ride.

Excellent family amusement park for kids 12 and under. Very clean, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Perfect day to put you in the Christmas spirit. We visited November 7. Would come back again during the summer to check out the water rides. Highly recommend

What can I say about Santa’s Village. Its a place I have been coming for over 40 years. Its a great little amusement park located on the North Side of the White Mountains. Clean. Friendly Staff. Plenty of Parking, whether in the main lot or lot across the street. The food is decent for a amusement park, but we are able to bring in our own snacks. In the colder months they have heaters around the park when they are open. The rides have a max of 15 minute wait time. The only downside tothe park is some of the rides have no set line to wait in. For example we were waiting at the Carrousel. Then a group of people came and “cut us” but not on purpose cause there is nothing directing them to where a line would be like a rope. The water park is cool, and actually pretty big. Lots of lifeguards. Plenty of bathrooms and food stalls. The reindeer was the highlight.

So much fun. We love this place. One of the best parts about it is the limited ticket sales. The lines are short, the atmosphere is super friendly. We always have a blast. Love the 2 new Rollercoasters.

Great place for the whole family. Toddler Waterpark is absolutely phenomenal. Beautiful nursing mom stations. Family changing areas. Cleans restrooms. Delicious beverages. Awesome gift shop selections. Gorgeous ornament customization. We're already planning our next trip back!

We have already been here several times. Some locations have been updated. A new roller coaster ride. Love their sugar cookies in the bakery. The staff is friendly. I really like that people with special needs have a green passage without queuing and waiting.
