We had a great stay at Crazy Creek resort! The cabin accommodations exceeded our expectations, very clean and good use of space. Our unit had a small Kitchenette and breakfast bar, all equipped with the appliances needed - perfect for 2 people. Large windows provided lots of natural light and view of the gorgeous scenery and mountains. Large covered patio with picnic bench was perfect for lunch, evening dinner/ relaxing. We appreciated the private campfire pit. We hiked the surrounding area, eagle river and suspension bridge - not too far or strenuous, easy moderate walk, great for families. The hot pools were nice and offered different temperatures and a cold plunge, we enjoyed the adult quiet hour at night. The highway is very close by, but the noise wasn’t bothersome. Units were almost soundproof- very quiet at night. We will definitely come back again!

This was my first time at this resort and I had an INCREDIBLE experience! The resort was extremely beautiful and well-kept, staff was so friendly, and the overall experience was amazing. My favourite part was the hot pools which were great both during the day and at night. I also loved how many dog-friendly activities there were. It's a great spot for a couples getaway; I don't have kids but it was clear there's lots to do for kids and families as well. I will 100% be back again!

We had such a great time at Crazy Creek Resort! Our campsite was super spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We loved using the hot pools and the cold plunge—it was the perfect way to unwind. Our daughter and I had so much fun picking huckleberries right on the property, and the pump track was a huge hit too—we spent lots of time doing sweet tricks and enjoying the space. The whole resort is clean, well-maintained, and clearly run by people who care. It’s a great base for exploring the area, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

First time to Crazy Creek and we will definitely be back! Our room was spacious with comfortable beds and cute decor. The staff were really friendly and the entire resort was really clean. We walked to the beach and saw the spawning salmon which was fun. The suspension bridge was unfortunately closed for the season but we will have to do thst next time we come. Only 30 minutes from Revelstoke which makes it a great location.

It’s long been on our bucket list to visit Crazy Creek Hot Pools Resort. We finally made it there, with our friends Susan and Mike. We enjoyed 2-nights in one of the newer 2-bedroom cabins, enjoyed the hot pools multiple times, dipped our feet into the cold plunge, and relaxed by the fire table on our deck. We also walked over the suspension bridge and went up and down approximately 230 steps to view the waterfalls from multiple viewing platforms. Our dogs had a staycation with Nana and Grandpa, but the cabins are dog-friendly and we would likely take them with us next time. There’s plenty of campsites also for camping and RVs. Plus there’s a nice walking trail around the property. We enjoyed our time here and will plan to visit again in the future.

Staff is always so welcoming and helpful, the pools are always very good for my physical health (hot and cold plunge) and we love having a firepit right outside our cabin door. This Thanksgiving weekend was no different than any other stay. The staff were so helpful. I kindly asked if frying pans should be in the rooms and mentioned that we didn't have one and by the time we got back to our cabin there were frying pans sitting outside our door. thank you for always being a wonderful weekend for my wife and I.

Beautiful spot with great amenities. We had a tough time getting our tent stakes into the ground because it was incredibly rocky ground, but other than that, fantastic. I will mention, the train came past and you could hear it on the tracks, as well as noise from the highway, but there were no train whistles at night and we didn't find it disruptive to our sleep. Clean facilities, great hot pools, and lots to do in the area. Great walking paths to the ruins of the old town that was here as well. We're considering coming back to check out the cabins next time, they looked really nice.

What a great place to roam around. We are seniors And had a great time. We did take the nature walk and that was quite the trek. What goes down must come up. The whole forest is beautiful laid out. We took about 2 hours to go through the forest. At the end there is a duck pond and a fish pond and you can buy food for both

Almost 40 and this place was still magical. The staff are so lovely! Tall gorgeous cedars everywhere and tucked in amongst the beauty is little things from your childhood, every story I had heard growing up was infront of me. It was nostalgic and stunning, the detail that goes into this place is next level. There is a salmon run in the fall, you can walk the boardwalk trail and watch them swim down stream. They have a duck and rainbow trout pond you can buy food in the gift shop for them, the ducks will eat out of your hand! The trout are pigs and entertaining to watch! The nature walk is beautiful but up hill and not super awesome for a prairie chicken like me but was worth it for the pictures! The bathrooms were cleaner than most indoor places and they were outside and had running water! There is an adventure place within it for kids as well but even if you just do the enchanted forest you will be amazed! Highly recommend, this was by far the best thing on our trip itinerary! The gift shop was also reasonably priced, not a thing often seen in BC. Lots of trinkets and tshirts to look through!

Our visit to the Enchanted Forest was absolutely wonderful! It truly brought back so many childhood memories—walking through fairy tale displays, climbing treehouses, and exploring whimsical paths made us feel like kids again. There was so much to see and do, and every corner was filled with charm and creativity. We had so much fun taking pictures, discovering hidden spots, and just enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for both kids and adults to experience a bit of magic. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relive some childhood joy or just have a fun and unique day out!

We stopped at the Enchanted Forest in Revelstoke with our kids and they absolutely loved it! Walking through the forest full of fairy-tale houses, giant mushrooms, and storybook characters was pure magic for them. It’s such a fun and unique place for families, with so many little details that kept the kids excited the whole way through. A perfect stop to stretch your legs and make some wonderful memories!

Take your kids! It's such a magical place full of fairy tale characters in the forest. There is also a cute little pond with ducks and fish that the kids can feed. Absolutely loved it, will be stopping here regularly. Even if you dont have children, it's such a whimsical walk, there is also a nature path that is gorgeous.

This is such a cute roadside attraction. They bring childhood stories to life and most of the houses and such are interactive. There’s a 3 story tree house you can go up. The staff are so friendly and welcoming as well. Cute little gift shop at the end if you chose to or you can bypass that straight out. Takes about an hour to go through.

What a beautiful place, this forest seems like wonderland. The thought behind the creator for this shows a lot of creativity. They have turned things into beautiful leaves of art, tiny little sculptures ,homes ,and if you enter those homes then beddings and other little things. Good place to take your kids to. Highly recommend visiting this for once. You can see this within an hours time. On road and good enough parking space.

The new mini suspension bridge offers great views. Gravel trails make it tough for strollers. Pipe Mountain Coaster was fun with a short wait. I gave it 3 stars. There isn’t much for a family looking to sightsee.

Great time on the pipe coaster and the new suspension bridge is a nice and easy 0.5km hike from the upper gondola. The restaurant at the top has good food and amazing views. Buy the 3-attraction Adventure Pass online the day before for best value, you can then do the suspension bridge and both of the pipe coaster tracks.

Beautiful resort with lots of activities to have fun. Mountain coaster, Gondola, Mountain biking, hiking, swimming pool, hot tubs, saunas and great restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here. Only negative is the noise from construction of a new building that starts at 7am until 5pm. When you get a room, ask them to be sure to give you a room away from that area. We couldn't have our door open or sit on the balcony because the noise was too loud.

Visited while passing through from Kamloops to Canmore. We were looking for a way to appreciate the mountains and this did not disappoint. We didn’t have a ton of time as it was a long driving day, but we took the gondola to the top and walked the High Line trail. It has a fantastic viewing platform and suspension bridge. All the staff we interacted with were so kind and welcoming. I would suggest buying tickets online prior to as there was a 10% savings on the admission we missed out on by buying ours at the counter upon arrival.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Revelstoke Mountain Resort! The gondola ride offered stunning views of the mountains and valley, and the mountain coaster was absolutely thrilling — fast, fun, and safe for everyone. The area is clean, well-organized, and surrounded by beautiful nature. A perfect place to enjoy adventure and relaxation in one spot.

First time visiting this place and we came from Edmonton. We purchased the 3 adventure pass cause I wanted to try the sightseeing, the coaster ride and the aerial place. The view was nice and cold, took a lot of pictures there. The coaster ride was nice actually, and apparently track 1 is best (you’ll just have to find out why) and the aerial was fun and tiring. Will definitely come back cause I haven’t really explored the small commons there

The pipe Coaster was a major highlight of our road trip. The gondal right to the top of the mountain was very scenic and felt like an additional experience on top of the coaster. Staff prioritized safety which was highly appreciated. My suggestion if you are going with a group is to put the faster riders (or who you think will be faster) and have them go first. Or when the light turns green for you to go, wait another minute. That way the person in front won't slow you down. Highly recommend this experience.

Be prepared for cooler temps than down in the town of Revelstoke. Many gorgeous trails criss-crossing the top of the mountain. Picnic tables and pit toilets. Amazing wildflowers when we went in mid August. You cannot drive the last 1km, but the road is still available to walk up. My husband went up and said the view was fantastic. Even if you just stay near the parking lot it is still gorgeous and there are many trails to explore.

Fairly simple trails at the top of Mount Revelstoke that could be completed in ~4-5 hours. The trail is well maintained, but could get muddy under sub-optimal weather conditions. I had a great hike despite the rapid-changing weather conditions. The views at Jade Lake was a bit anti-climatic. If you aren't intenting to camp, stopping at the ridge between Miller and Jade lakes is sufficient. The ridge had by far the best view of the trail.

Beautiful mountain and park! You can drive almost right up to the summit (short, but fairly strenuous walk to the summit from parking lot). Unfortunately was hazy from wildfires when we visited, but it must be one of the most spectacular places imaginable on a clear day. We found a rare BC lizard on the mountain, couldn’t find the salamanders. Come for the views! Note there are also trails down the mountain at lower elevations with spectacular forests.

Stunning place. A little busy and had to line up at the park entrance to go up the mountain. It was about 45-60 min wait in the mid to late afternoon. When we got to the top it was nice and cool on a hot summers day.

We did a fantastic half day hike from about 2/3 of the way up to the top of the mountain. I highly recommend not driving all the way up - there are some really beautiful trails and very helpful park staff eager to help anyone with questions. Highly recommend!

A beautiful park to visit! Well worth the long trip up to the top of the mountain to see the amazing view and glorious mountain Flora and Fauna! Loved it!

The drive up to the top is spectacular! We did this drive in mid July and the wildflowers lining the road were beautiful. There were many hikes available along the way up, it was not congested with tourists, and parking was available in the middle of the day at the top. There was also a free shuttle up and down for those not able to make the short uphill hike to the summit. I would highly recommend this park and the sky meadow parkway for anyone who would like to enjoy the Canadian Rockies without crowds and with light to no hiking.

Easily accessible place right off the highway. Initially we were confused since the first spot to enter the path indicated it was closed but then to the left further in the parking we found the start of the boardwalk. It used to be a loop but due to the conditions in the forest, part of the boardwalk collapsed. Unfortunately people were stepped off the boardwalk to take photos near dome trees close to it. Signs indicated that is not allowed but some people are clueless. I visited it in mid-July so it’s busier than expected. The signs along the path offer a lot of information regarding fauna and flora. Highly recommend!

This trail is on the way from Calgary to Vancouver. We found it when looking for a washroom. It takes only about 15 minutes to walk. Very easy, good for parents too. You can see old forest and big trees. Bring bear spray. A nice stop to rest during a long trip.

Sep-2025: Second time coming here and it’s as beautiful as before! They did a lot of maintenance like installing brand new boards in most of the trail. Small part of the trail still closed for repair but you can still enjoy the beautiful giant cedars! There are plenty of parking and washrooms. Definitely worth a stop!

Magical and peaceful walk through ancient giants We stopped at the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail just off the Trans-Canada Highway, and it was absolutely worth it. The boardwalk is short (about 500 m) but incredibly scenic—you're surrounded by massive, old-growth western red cedars that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. The trail is well-maintained and easy for all ages—no hiking experience needed. It’s shaded, quiet, and full of earthy smells and birdsong. There are also little signs along the way that share interesting info about the forest and how old some of these trees are. It’s a quick stop (15–30 minutes), but it really leaves an impression. Perfect if you're passing through Revelstoke and want a break from the road.

Great stop for break on a road trip. Decent amount of good parking for rvs, trailers and cars. Clean washrooms and numerous picnic tables. Nice boardwalk around the big trees and good break from the traffic. No services here other than washrooms.

It was amazing to see Giant Cedars again. Half of the pass is closed , due to fire in 2021 but you can see enough to be amazed. We spent 20 minutes taking pictures of a mushroom 🍄 great walk, but have good shoes it is slippery

You can find the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail about 30 kilometers from Revelstoke, B.C. The walk is about half a kilometer and takes you right into the heart of the forest in Mount Revelstoke National Park. Some of the trees found in the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail are at least 500 years old. This is such a beautiful location. I really recommend this place.

Rogers Pass Discovery is an excellent rest stop with breathtaking views. The gift shop staff are warm and welcoming, and the washrooms are impressively clean. A must-stop spot for travelers!

An excellent place to stop and stretch your legs. The original visitor center is temporarily closed. However, adjacent buildings house restrooms that are clean. The temporary gift shop is very limited, but it's available. This has to be one of the most beautiful settings for area, visitor center.

Good for a quick stop, stretching and washroom break. Take some photos. Thanks goodness we stop by as just ahead there's two cop with photo radar!!

Good spot to watch mountain! The main building is in the progress for maintenance, but still have simple info office for visitors. Not so many gifts available for selecting.

Friendly staff, really clean restrooms! Gift shop is currently *really* limited, because they're undergoing construction on the original visitor center. Lots of good information on local hiking and activities.

Clean washrooms were much appreciated. However, as of today, August 13, the center was closed — it seems for renovations. Our toddler was excited to explore it while stretching his legs, but maybe next time. Gift shop was open.

Although the drinking and restroom facilities are readily available, the information center was not open until past 9:30 AM.

Smaller resort so a lot less to do. If I was there for mountain biking or snowboarding I would probably give it a higher rating. I was there for an event and there was not much to do besides the event I went for. The gondola was closed, so that didn't help either. I could not find a pool and for the hot tub you had to book a time to go in, this was very strange, I could understand this maybe during COVID but on the regular. Hot tubs are for relaxing not a scheduled time in my opinion. The views are amazing, the food was decent. I was lucky enough to see Boo the Grizzly bear half way up the mountain. That was easily the best part of the resort. The mosquitoes are next level bad, if you go there in the summer just take a shower in bug spray before going outside, I went through almost a whole can over the weekend and walked out with about a dozen or so bites, way better then my friends who had forgot big spray for an afternoon and got dozens of bites each in a few hours. Again big spray, lots of it is a must. Overall worth a visit if you are in Golden or passing through for a night just don't expect it to have the amenities of a bigger resort. Last off the website does say this as well but there is no A/C, I didn't find this a problem but if A/C is a must for you, then keep looking for a different place. Don't think you will just keep the patio door open to cool off the room either, again the mosquitoes are next level and they will get past the screens.

The resort is great for biking and hiking . Winter sports should be excellent. However the chairlift only opens 0945 to 3.30 so if you are hiking high you would have a time restriction if you used the lift . This may mean you miss seeing the bear enclosure. The chairlift does need more time especially in summer when the Gondola is not operational. However the views are stunning

Some of the best and most memorable skiing I’ve ever done happened on this hill. Amazing hill, lodges, and people. Please put this hill on your bucket list!

Boo the Bear is adorable. The guide was knowledgeable and interesting. The kicking horse websites and organization is poor. The website says the chair lift doesn't start till 10. But also the tour starts at 10. But also the tour starts at 10:30. Very confusing. We arrived at 09:45 and bought a ticket and took a chair lift at 09:50. We arrived at the top at 10:13 and had already missed the start of the tour. Show up early and hope the lift is running, I guess! The tour actually ran from 10-past 11:30. It was fantastic but this place makes it hard to plan your day!

Great place to visit as we were staying just down the road in an Airbnb. Be aware that in summer (we visited in September), the shops and lift do not operate on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The area however is very beautiful, even if you don't go in the ski season.

I love Kicking Horse ♥️ It has a great vibe. Terrain is for advance riders and skiers, a lot of fun runs. It's definitely the steepest mountain I've ever been. I spend 3 amazing days exploring and having the most fun!

We wanted to ride the gondola up to the mountain top restaurant for lunch. It was closed for maintenance. We had a coffee and ice cream while watching the ski lifts take bikers up and they rode the bikes back down the mountain.

Excellent bridge lookout and walking trail in heart of Golden. There is no entrance fee. Ample parking space there is public washroom and a nice icream shop near it. There are lots of resting bench and nice trail along side the river on both sidefor walking, running, jogging or biking. Pets are allowed but on leash. The main entrance is well made lots of flowers and water fountain. The trail is not paved but stroller and wheelchair friendly. Over all its a highly recommended attraction if you are in Golden. Beautiful pedestrian bridge. So authentic! The river has a sublime turquoise color. There are trails along the river with beautiful trees and flowers.

A nice place to relax, with the river bubbling underneath. There are quite a few benches around, all donated. The day we were there, there was a steady stream of pedestrians but definitely not overcrowded.

Lovely way to spend your morning having coffee on a beautiful sunny cool morning in Golden British Columbia. But I like the most is that they offer RV parking in the CP parking lot a very short walk to the river

What an amazing piece of architecture, and hard work! We loved reading the story behind the bridge, and picturing each hand that worked on it. Thank-you to all who had a part on this project. Definitely recommend to stop by the parking lot, and take the short walk across.

The structure feels both grand and calming. Whether you're pausing mid-bridge to take in the turquoise water or simply soaking up the mountain air, it’s a moment worth savouring. The surrounding Rotary trails make it easy to extend your walk and explore more of Golden’s charm.

Of you need to cross the river from Golden then this is the place of your walking out on your bike. Lots of room to navigate. Does a great job getting you safely and confidently over the river. Lovely, easy hike in, about 5km round trip on mostly flat though rooty track. Can't go wrong for path finding. Luckily under the trees as it was over 30 degrees. The falls are amazing. Super Luckily we arrived late afternoon and pretty much had it to ourselves.

July 24,2023. Lovely trail, was a random stop otw for our road trip Banff to Vancouver. We feel lucky we stopped here. There are washrooms and parking spaces there. But a gravel road with pot holes. Good luck. We got absolutely soaked when we walked towards the waterfall. We had an absolutely wonderful sunny day and got to see rainbows. We did have to change clothes since we got soaked 😂. My phone somehow survived the wetness of that waterfall.

Get here early and no one will be in your shot. Great 3 mile hike that is easy until the last bit where it’s straight down to the fall then straight back up. I’d be careful with young children. We spent a couple hours with the kids exploring the rocks at the bottom and hiking and were here about 9-1130a which was perfect. Only a couple of other people were here at first but the parking lot had filled up by the time we hiked back.

We really enjoyed our hike out to the waterfalls on this trail despite it being a dreary, drizzly morning. The trail can be a bit slick in these conditions and there are a few mildly treacherous spots, but as long as you're wearing hiking boots and not flip flops like a few fools were doing you will be fine.

The trail is super easy to follow from the trail head car park. The only hard bit for people unsteady on their feet is the up and down to the river bed. Great photos to be had . About 2 hours total.

Nice trail but very muddy with any rain. About 391 ft of elevation of you go down the lowest viewing location. All the elevation is near the end at the falls so it can be easy if you only go to the first viewing. They have pit toilets if you need one😁

Absolutely gorgeous place to sit and look at the beautiful falls and mountains that surround it. This course starts easy but I caution those with small children to think hard before going there. It gets pretty tricky when you get close to the falls so I don't recommend this trail for small children.

Really nice place. All their wolves are rescued. Flora (one of their wolves) is basically a dog/wolf, super cute and well behaved, we were lucky enough to see her come back from her walk

5 minute stop at best for steep price of $60 for family of 4. Would not recommend unless you want to see 4 wolves behind a cage. They have total 6 wolves but all behind cage and can’t get near to get a good view. No tour no anything else. Go if you want to waste money. I personally love wolves and have been to other places but this was total waste. If the money is going towards the wolves I’ll feel like I donated something but I’m not sure how it’s used. Don’t waste your time and money. If you like wolves go somewhere else. This felt like a very sad zoo experience.

Lovely little afternoon with our toddler and a chance to get up close to some beautiful wolves. The staff seemed very caring about the animals and very informative about them. We learned a lot. It’s not a big set up but sometimes it’s nice to just sit and take in the animals and go without the bells and whistles. Our toddler had a great time.

I had an incredible experience at the Northern Lights Wolf Sanctuary in Golden. The passion and knowledge of the staff truly shine through every part of the visit. It’s clear how deeply they care about the wolves and their mission to educate the public about these animals. A special thank you for the opportunity to see and learn about Flora—absolutely stunning and full of personality. It was both humbling and inspiring to witness her presence up close. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication, hospitality, and for the important work you do. I left with a much greater appreciation for wolves and the wild spaces they depend on. Highly recommend this sanctuary to anyone visiting the area.

I loved visiting so much. A very educational and incredible experience. You can tell they love the wolves of BC and want to protect them. Lots of info about culling and unsafe practices by the government I had no idea about! I loved having the chance to interact with Flora as well. @katjaspov for more of my favourite places 🥰

Visited last year. Paid I think $15 each entry (me & 1 friend). Had seen online that they have tours/speeches every hour to talk about the wolves. When we visited in May we were just given a piece of paper to read. When I asked about the talk they do they said they only do that on days when it was busy. There was at least 10 people there at that time. For $150 an hour seems they could do a 10 minute talk. My friend didn’t want to read the double paged A4 paper so she thought it was very cruel they were just in cages. I read the paper which did explain they go on massive walks off leash each day. So I then went and asked some questions which was great and interesting hearing the answers from the staff. Just wish they actually did a 10 minute talk every hour on the hour no matter how many guests. As I did kind of feel like I’d just paid to see some wolves sleeping in small ish cages

Waste of money....! Paid 70 for a family and was expecting a little thru the trail but it ended before it started 🤣 Its great appericiation for them for running that place but it should be free to watch as of its selection, We watch more wildlife on the road rather than paying them and watching 4 sick sleeping wolves in cages..! Wildlife should be left in wild place and not to be put into cages and run as a penny business for human greed..! Lady there was giving huge lecture about human destruction over forests and when i see the wolves, that was miserable.

The Paint Pots are such an amazing and unusual place to visit. The mineral springs turn the water and soil into a vivid orange color, so it feels like the whole area is painted in ochre. It’s really impressive and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The trail is not too long and easy to walk, and when you arrive, the view is absolutely worth it. A unique and beautiful spot in Kootenay National Park!

The Paint Pots trail is an easy walk through forest and over little bridges to these vibrant orange mineral pools used by Indigenous peoples for ochre. Super interesting geology and history all in one short hike. The colors pop, especially in the sunlight. Trail was a bit muddy in spots when we visited in July 2025, but totally manageable with good shoes. Great for families and anyone looking for something different from the usual waterfall or mountain view.

Very neat place for a hike. The paint pots are brightly colored and the hike quite pleasant and not at all strenuous. Glad we stopped.

This is a very easy 900m walk from the parking. There is nothing spectacular here, but it is a nice way to stretch the legs. There is a relatively new boardwalk in place ... I suspect it would gave been a pinch muddy without it.

Honestly more of a 3.5 stars - the trailhead said it was only 1.5km - but there is NO way - it was quite a long hike with a lot of uphill to the painted pots and when we got there, we were like whaa?? Is this it?? Another family there was staring at it also and had the same thoughts. The only reason why I thought it was worth doing was the long windy boardwalk thru the yellow muddy fields - that was gorgeous. My dad didn’t enjoy this hike at all though and said he wished we skipped this one and spent more time at Johnston Canyon instead .. oh well!

The pots were nice to see, but my favorite was the colorful stream that came from the pots. It was nice to get away from busy Banff and enjoy a little Kootenay National Park.

Very easy hike and beautiful the whole way up and the path is very well maintained. The Paint Pots at the top are beautiful and just draw you in! Worth the stop.

A wonderful rapid mountain river, with a so-called natural bridge made of stones, surrounded by forest and mountains. You can walk and relax, admiring the beautiful scenery. There is a large parking lot.

It's just a stop off the road but probably one of my favorite ones. You can walk right up to the waterfall, although some are probably braver than they should be as they get too close ... or even walk over the rock bridge!!! It's truly amazing watching the water and it's calmer upstream. My daughter even made a little sand structure with the silt.

The Natural Bridge is an amazing stop in Yoho National Park. The Kicking Horse River has carved right through solid rock, creating a powerful natural arch with rushing water beneath—it’s fascinating to see up close. Visiting Natural Bridge was an awe-inspiring experience that reminded me just how powerful and artistic nature can be. The bridge itself — formed naturally by centuries of water carving through solid rock — stands as a symbol of strength and timeless beauty. It’s one of those places that leaves you speechless the moment you see it. The sound of the roaring river below adds to the thrill, as turquoise water rushes powerfully through the stone arch. The contrast between the deep, clear water and the rugged rock formations creates a dramatic scene that’s both humbling and breathtaking. Standing at the viewing platform, I felt a mix of peace and wonder — it’s hard not to be amazed by what nature has sculpted here. The area around Natural Bridge is easy to explore, with well-maintained walkways and several scenic viewpoints that allow you to see the bridge from different angles. Each view reveals something new — swirling rapids, moss-covered rocks, and sunlight dancing through the mist. The energy of the place is powerful yet calming, perfect for anyone who loves photography, hiking, or simply soaking in the beauty of the earth. The nearby trails and picnic areas are clean and well-marked, and the staff and park rangers are friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great spot to visit in any season, but especially stunning in summer and early fall when the colors and light make the entire area glow. Natural Bridge is not just a sight — it’s an experience. It reminds you that true beauty doesn’t need to be built; it’s already here, carved patiently by time and water. A perfect five-star natural wonder — majestic, powerful, and unforgettable.

Very beautiful. It’s just off the highway on the way to Emerald lake, so it’s a two for one attraction.

Free to visit, with a small car park. No specific RV parking, but we parked our 30ft'er on the side of the car park fine. Got busy by 11am. Nice place to stop after Emerald Lake, as along the same road.

The bridge is located in BC, walking through it offers you a beautiful panoramic view for the river and the fall, I went there for a short time by a touristic bus, me and all members of the group enjoyed the place.

⭐ Beautiful tranquil Emerald lake, which takes its name from the lovely green color reflected from the sediments in the lake. There’s a flat walking trail that we could take to walk round the lake, but it is quite a big lake. There are also bear signs/ sightings around the area so need to be careful if walking the trail. Can also rent a canoe 🛶 to go around the lake but it is rather expensive. Pix were taken in early June in the late afternoon.

Visited in early October and the lake was a mesmerizing emerald green. Renting a canoe is a must! the red boats against the green water create a beautiful, striking contrast. Absolutely spectacular scenery. Highly recommend

Emerald Lake is one of the most breathtaking spots in Yoho National Park. True to its name, the water shines in brilliant shades of emerald green, especially on sunny days, and the surrounding peaks reflect beautifully off the surface. The lake is easily accessible, with a flat walking trail that loops around the shoreline, offering peaceful views from every angle.

One of the prettiest places in all of Banff! Get there early so you can enjoy the peace and quiet before the buses show up (also for parking). I highly suggest canoeing if you can. It’s absolutely stunning from the water! There’s a path to walk and a boardwalk/road for those who can’t with beautiful views too!

I especially loved the view from the wooden bridge; it’s picture-perfect and gives you a full view of the lake framed by the mountains. It’s no surprise this spot is one of the most photographed places in the region. Canoeing across Emerald Lake was the highlight of my visit. Gliding gently over the calm, jewel-toned water felt magical — like floating in a dream. The silence, broken only by the soft splash of the paddles, was deeply relaxing. There’s also a cozy lodge nearby with a café that serves warm drinks and local food — the perfect way to end a day of exploring. The staff were friendly, and everything felt peaceful and well-kept. Emerald Lake is not just beautiful; it’s healing. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe deeply, and feel grateful just to be alive. I left with my heart full and my mind calm. A truly five-star natural wonder — serene, stunning, and unforgettable.

My favourite lake in all of Canada, nothing compares to this incredible shade of blue! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. This place feels truly special and simply being there is a beautiful reminder of how amazing it is to be alive.

⭐ Spectacular! Moraine lake and the ten peaks. So beautiful it is a MUST visit. No regrets! Some said the view on the morning is stunning with the sun shining on the peaks. Am happy to be there in the late afternoon as it is less crowded. Can walk on the beach but lots of pebbles and stones. Will need to book and take a shuttle to Moraine Lake as it is off limits to vehicles unless staying in the lodge.

Decided to walk along the road of Morraine Lake today , weather is sunny and not too cold .The view is stunning ,has flowing river and small water fall ,12 KM walk ,it took us 3 hours to the lake and 4 hours back due to issue related to hiking shoes.

Very pretty lake, beautiful views, you can soak in the nature, breathe in and take nice pictures. The parking lot is decent,there’s washrooms and short walk so definitely must try! Top tourist spot so it does get busy, there’s a cute bakery shop and yes it does sell samosas! Also, the bathroom’s smell super bad so please be careful!

Amazing lake. No parking lot on the area. You should take the shuttle from the Louise Lake or the sky resort. Purchase shuttle tickets in advance.

Absolutely stunning lake with crystal clear blue waters. Arriving early is going to give you the best views and allow you to enjoy the scenery without the crowds. Can be a little difficult to figure out the Park Canada Shuttle but recommend Moraine Lake first in the morning. The 2 day advance shuttle tickets are a great way for late planners to join the fun.

Beautiful and magical place! You can enjoy a peaceful ambient with fresh air. Unfortunately the kayaking company there charges you a fortune ($160 USD).

I don't have words to explain the beauty of this place. Its must visit place stunning view around the falls, breathtaking scenery and beautiful running water . when you park the car you can't imagine whts next . Just walk towards the bridge and enjoy the water fall at the end. Note: Baby stroller can easily Go there. Note: Washrooms are not that standard, no water access so just sanitizer. Try to avoid to use.

It was an amazing sight, very simple and accessible on the way to this waterfall. You can see it from afar, and it looks majestic, huge, and tall. When you arrive, you have very easy access to the waterfall itself, and you can truly enjoy the view. There are quite a lot of people, and the parking lot gets full, but you can park a little further away and take a short walk. A wonderful place for kids, adults, and seniors. Absolutely stunning!

A must-see destination for all nature lovers! This is the second tallest waterfall in Canada and it’s absolutely breathtaking. The area is pet-friendly! Be sure to dress for the weather, the water is extremely cold, and you’ll definitely catch some mist but the views make it completely worth it.

Pretty cool falls that you can walk right up to. Short walk along the river and across a tiny bridge then another short walk to the base. Turn around when you arrive as the views of the surrounding mountains are almost as good as the falls themselves. Come early as parking lot fills up quick! Don't follow the signs for the toilets as they don't make sense (they are to the right of the parking lot, by the river). Well worth a visit.

Had a wonderful experience exploring takkakaw falls..though to get there was bit of a ride ( some part of the road is narrow) we went there last august after a hot drive and canoeing,it was an amazing view and the water from the falls splashing in our face was refreshing and help us cooled off. The falls were quite loud and powerful rushing over the cliff. As you're driving down you can see it from the road, bouncing off the rocks and creating a beautiful mist. Parking was a challenge and we thankfully found a spot on the side of the road. There were a lot of people but we were able to maneuver around most of them. There are pit toilets at the start and the walk to the falls is an easy, flat .50 mile. Be prepared for crowds.

This is a MUST DO on your Banff trip. The walk to the falls is paved so very easy to make. If you want to approach the falls, do so in boots because the incline is great and the surface is very loose and rocky. Go early in the morning to beat the crowds.

Amazing easily accessible trail. Not the largest waterfall but for an easy hike near the Kananaskis mountain lodge, it's unbeatable. Great for all ages and plenty of parking.

🌲 Troll Falls Trailhead Review Troll Falls is one of those perfect family-friendly hikes in Kananaskis that everyone can enjoy. The trail is easy, well-marked, and mostly flat, which makes it ideal for little ones, strollers, or even grandparents. The hike itself is short—about 3.5 km round trip—and takes you through a peaceful forest with plenty of shade and fresh mountain air. The main highlight, of course, is the beautiful Troll Falls waterfall at the end. Kids especially love it because it feels like a little hidden gem tucked away in the trees. What makes this trail so great for families is how accessible it is. You don’t need to be an experienced hiker to enjoy it, and it’s a wonderful introduction to nature for children. There are benches along the way to rest, and the trail is wide enough for groups to walk together comfortably. For those looking for a bit more adventure, you can extend the hike beyond the main falls to Upper Troll Falls, which adds a bit of uphill climbing and rewards you with even more views. ✅ Final Thoughts: Troll Falls Trailhead is the perfect “easy win” hike in Kananaskis—friendly, safe, and fun for all ages. If you’re looking for a stress-free outing with family and little ones, this is definitely a go-to spot.

Great conditions at Troll Falls - Hay Meadow Trail. Not too busy. Was a bit cool to start but soon warmed up as we hiked. Did the lower falls as did not have cleats for the upper falls in the event we encountered ice. Only downside, the bathrooms at the start of the trail could be cleaner.

This is a greta easy file for anyone including families with little ones. Very sog friendly also. But do remember you are in the wilderness and to pack Bear spray that is accessible. We have e seen a bear out here on the trail before. Over great hike. The water fall is exchange there is an option to hike to the top of the falls also. Instead of going back on the trail in you can take a left o. Your way out and hike through the grassy meadows that will take you along the river and back to the parking lot. Enjoy 😉

Very easy hike. Even to the upper falls, I thought it was longer, but not much further than the lower falls. Once past the lower falls, the elevation change is drastically different, but only for a short while. Once on the way back, we somehow made a wrong turn and walked through the field/dirt road, and not the way we came. Wasn’t longer, just less scenic, so pay attention to which way you came from and take the scenic route. We arrived around 10am and there wasn’t too many people, we took our time at the falls and sat around a few spots, but on the way back around 1pm it was getting pretty busy.

Lovely little hike! Not strenuous - great for kids! You will see lots of kids and packs of people on this trail on the weekends. Even in the winter! To see it in the summer is beautiful and the walk takes you on a forest trail with many beautiful trees and wildflowers.

A beautiful moderate hike. Well worth the travel. Surprisingly there was cell service for the entire hike to the upper waterfall area

It was a relaxing stay. We appreciated the activities planned throughout the day for our daughter including kids check-in, pumpkin decorating, and smores-making. Great location as it was right next to Lake Louise, however, further from town than we anticipated. Parking is not validated for dining at the hotel. We truly appreciate the efforts of the housekeeping team in making our stay comfortable. Bell staff was very helpful and efficient. Overall, wonderful experience from start to finish.

Came to this location for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The hotel staff were extremely generous with us - even had a handwritten card with a lovely message on it. Who writes a hand written card these days? So lovely! Further, at the Lakeview Restaurant, server Will was fabulous. As well as the lovely bald man who was perhaps a manager there? I didn’t get his name, but he was also tremendous and made sure we had a great dinner for our anniversary. We felt so special and we don’t have a lot of times we are able to go out these days. This was our first time traveling without our young kids, and the generosity of the staff made it so memorable for us. Everything was fabulous. Hopefully we can come back soon. Thank you!

Lake Louise is an absolutely stunning location! My wife and I stayed several days as part of a larger group event. The staff is kind, welcoming, and hospitable. Big thank you to the hotel team. Personal shout out to Mark at concierge! After a conversation regarding hotel activities, unfortunately, the activity we wanted to participate in was full. When we had returned to our room there was a personalized note and some vouchers from Mark. This is one of many examples of kindness. We really appreciated how the staff went over and above, exceeding expectations each day! Can’t wait to visit again.

Stayed here for me birthday! They upgraded our room to Lakeview and there was a bottle of wine waiting in our room! The basin glacier experience is well worth it as there isn't much to do in the hotel other than eat or hike especially since the sun sets earlier now. I highly recommend making reservations for lunch AND dinner or you might risk going on the wait list. Steak tartare was really good!

Amazing view from the 8th floor lake view king room. We were so grateful to have been upgraded to this floor upon check in. Prior to check in I requested a higher floor room and we were thrilled and surprised they gave us the top floor with a view right down the middle of the lake! The check in process was very smooth and informative and they let us check in a couple hours early as well which was fantastic. It was such a dream to wake up and go to sleep overlooking the lake. The rooms are quite small though but very nice. Loved the Nespresso machine in the room. Amazing front desk help and concierge help. I loved the text option for contacting concierge with questions. Took the free mixology class taught by Brock which was SO much fun and we highly recommend signing up for that if you are visiting. Roasted complimentary s'mores at night on the fire and also utilized the hotel pricing for canoes. Yes the hotel is a splurge but such a stress free and luxurious way to visit Lake Louise. We also completed the Big Beehive hike the day of checkout and it was of course fantastic. We dined at Alpine Social for dinner and it was tasty and also the biggest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had haha.

Absolutely Heaven on Earth! The staff went above and beyond to make this birthday trip extra special. They left decorations, flowers, prosecco and sweets to surprise us. Our lake view room was nothing short of spectacular. I can’t remember ever having seen a more beautiful view. The spa treatment was lovely and relaxing. The food was excellent and interesting. Antoine, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend this beautifully appointed hotel to anyone and everyone!

Its a beautiful place for sure but very busy and outrageously expensive. There were so many people that it was hard to get a picture without strangers in it.lol But the staff members in the hotel and coffee shop were wonderful. I recommend riding in the open seats during summer to fully experience the fresh air and scenic vistas. While I didn’t spot any wildlife during my ride up or down, the view from the top is still incredible. Once you reach the summit, there’s an easy trail that winds down, offering more amazing perspectives of the mountains and valley below. It’s a relaxing and visually rewarding experience, perfect for photographers and anyone who wants to enjoy the Rockies with minimal effort. Tip for visitors: Try to ride in the open-air seats during summer for the most immersive experience and bring a camera to capture the stunning scenery.

I liked the view when I went to the top but to be honest, this whole gondola thing was very normal. View was great but could be a possibility that I went in July and it looks better when snow is around. There is a photo booth where you can take a picture.

[Summer Gondola] - don’t believe the haters! And don’t go up with expectations to see wildlife. This was an absolute delight, and I’d recommend making time for it - especially if you’re already parking there for your trip up to Lake Louise/Moraine. The whole experience was peaceful, a cool perspective of Lake Louise, and provided beautiful views of surrounding mountains. We kept an eye out for wildlife, but knew we weren’t visiting at a time when they’re expected to be out and about. It’s really just a lovely ride, especially in the open chairlift (vs enclosed gondola).

We take the gondola and lunch bundles ride . On both ways ( up and down ) we seen two deer under our gondola ride . The views from the top are amazing . The mountains and all those glaciers are stunning ! The burgers combo we have ordered are delicious too.

A gorgeous lake with stunning views year round. Each season offers something different. Quite peaceful and serene in the winter, vibrant in the summer. Atmosphere is beautiful, definitely worth a stop.

Beautiful lake that perhaps has a less dramatic viewpoint than Peyto Lake but still worth a visit. Do note that it is more difficult to get out to the lakeshore when it’s wet as the foreshore area turns into mud.

It's a really nice lake, even if it's not as well-known as Louise or Moraine. Definitely worth checking out, but the parking and facilities weren't great.

Alberta has many big and beautiful lakes. Lake Bow is also a great lake! It gives me relaxation and comfort. I recommend you to go if you have a chance.

Personally, I prefer Bow Lake to Lake Louise. Bow Lake has fewer people, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere amidst beautiful natural surroundings. It’s only about a 30-minute drive from Lake Louise to Bow Lake, making it a worthwhile destination. If you enjouy hiking, there are several impressive trails, such as my favorite trails, The Onion and Iceberg Lake.

Bow Lake is one of the largest lakes in Banff National Park. Laying at the base of Bow Summit, you can observe beautiful mountain scales set with this gorgeous lake. Bow lodge, once a private residence and sold in 1996, has a “Provisions” area and small patio where you can enjoy a sandwich, coffee or dessert. They have a parking lot and it’s a very short walk to the lake.

Easily reached by car with roadside parking and a viewing platform Bow Lake is a must-stop for any Icefields Parkway journey. Its striking glacial colors, peaceful atmosphere, and accessibility make it ideal for both brief visits and extended exploration. Whether you’re snapping a quick photo, paddling the turquoise water, or hiking toward the glacier, it’s a highlight that outshines its roadside appearance.

Peyto Lake is an absolutely mesmerizing lake, with a brilliant turquoise colour that looks beautiful in any season. The main viewpoint is a very short hike from the parking lot. You can also hike down to the lake, but is harder than the viewpoint. The atmosphere is unforgettable whether it’s foggy, snowing, raining, or sunny.

Beautiful view. Easy short hike. For best view, go there in the late morning or early afternoon before the sun goes behind the mountain and shadow the mountain covers the lake.

The trail was a very steep trail but easy very short hike, its a bit challenging for new trailblazers so recommend support or slow route option. Definitely worth the view, look is so blue and pretty and shaped like a wolf.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful lakes in Alberta and in all of Canada. The short hike to the viewpoint is absolutely worth it, offering stunning scenery and photo opportunities. It can get quite busy, so it’s best to arrive early to fully enjoy the experience in peace.

I loved Peyto more than Lake Louise. Blue water surrounded by mountains was breathtaking. Pretty normal hike (<1km) that leads to the deck to view this beauty. Parking available.

Peyto Lake was one of the most beautiful lakes I visited during my trip to Banff and Jasper. The short hike up to the viewpoint was absolutely worth it — the turquoise color of the lake is breathtaking and looks almost unreal. A must-see stop if you’re exploring the Icefields Parkway!

Peyto you have my heart ❤️. Around 700m hike from parking lot. Its hidden gem. Peyto lake looks very beautiful. Parking lot is big, washrooms on site. Observing Deck is great spot to enjoy this beautiful turquoise lake. Family friendly environment. If you are travelling to Columbian Icefield or Jasper its a quick scenic stop.

You can see the people on the Glacier who are on the Glacier tour. There is a fence at the end of the trail but everyone was pushing it down and stepping over to go all the way out to the water. So sad that no one follows the signs. I stopped at the fence. It was beautiful up there. The Skywalk is part of the tour. We also ate lunch in their cafe. The portions were big, so we shared. The parking lot was packed and there were people everywhere. It was crowded but worth visiting.

I've visited twice—once in August and again in early October—and the seasonal change offers a completely different experience. This October, the trail was already covered in fluffy, early snow, transforming the area into an all-white, magical kingdom. Absolutely amazing!

Awe-Inspiring Athabasca Glacier🫶🏻😍 I recently had the privilege of visiting the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience! The glacier's majestic beauty and sheer scale left me in awe🤩 The scenery was breathtaking, with towering ice formations, sparkling blue crevasses, and stunning mountain vistas. I felt like I was walking on a frozen wonderland🫰🏽👌🏽😃

I would highly recommend it to everyone who's ever wanted to visit a glacier. Please visit this once in your lifetime, as the glacier is receding and might not be there in the next 50 years at all. The experience of taking the special red bus is worth it within itself.

Gorgeous glacier! Book a tour that hikes up NOT the bus things that drive there! That company is causing the glaciers to melt faster! Hiking up is way better and I even got to drink glacier water!

Book your tickets in advance if you want to go on ride to see glacier up close . Research said we don’t harm them much while we take step up there so I would recommend to go and drink fresh water from glacier itself .

Awe-Inspiring Athabasca Glacier🫶🏻😍 I recently had the privilege of visiting the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience! The glacier's majestic beauty and sheer scale left me in awe🤩 The scenery was breathtaking, with towering ice formations, sparkling blue crevasses, and stunning mountain vistas. I felt like I was walking on a frozen wonderland🫰🏽👌🏽😃

This is one of The most beautiful places I have ever seen. There is a certain silence in this magical place. Breathtaking, timeless, peaceful and beautiful. This is one of those places I visit atleast once every year. It builds connection with your soul. 🙏 Shiva

I would highly recommend it to everyone who's ever wanted to visit a glacier. Please visit this once in your lifetime, as the glacier is receding and might not be there in the next 50 years at all. The experience of taking the special red bus is worth it within itself.

Gorgeous glacier! Book a tour that hikes up NOT the bus things that drive there! That company is causing the glaciers to melt faster! Hiking up is way better and I even got to drink glacier water!

Book your tickets in advance if you want to go on ride to see glacier up close . Research said we don’t harm them much while we take step up there so I would recommend to go and drink fresh water from glacier itself .

The Columbia Icefield Skywalk has exactly the same concept as the famous Grand Canyon Skywalk — a glass-floored walkway extending over a canyon. However, this one is much smaller, roughly about one-third the size of the Grand Canyon version. Even though it’s on a smaller scale, it’s extremely well maintained and very clean, which makes it a pleasant experience overall. I wouldn’t describe it as very thrilling or scary, especially if you’ve been to the Grand Canyon Skywalk before. That said, it’s still worth visiting as part of the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure package, especially if you’re also doing the Glacier tour on the same day. It’s a nice way to round out the experience. We went on a Monday evening, which turned out to be perfect — there were very few people, and we practically had the entire walkway to ourselves. It gave us plenty of time to stroll slowly, enjoy the views, and take photos without feeling rushed. This was a huge contrast to my past experience at the Grand Canyon Skywalk, which was very crowded and hectic. Ticket tip: If you buy tickets for the Skywalk alone, it’s around CAD $50 per person. However, I recommend purchasing a Pursuit Pass or a bundle that includes other attractions, which you can easily find online. If you pre-book online, you can usually get around 20% off, making it a much better deal.

The whole experience was great! Both our drivers on the bus and ice explorer were very social, giving us cool facts, and cracking jokes. On the glacier itself was really cool but the zone we were allowed to go on was pretty small with a lot of people. There was great places to take pictures and even a Canadian flag. The skywalk was my favourite, the little 10 minute walk to the actual skywalk was cool with little facts about animals and plants that are native. The skywalk itself was great but the glass was a little dirty and muddy so it wasn’t the greatest for pictures. Also there were so many people that it was hard to get a good picture with people walking in your way all the time. Besides that it was amazing with the views and views of waterfall down below. It’s a little scary at first but after you’ll feel great about doing it. Highly recommend!

What a spot! The Skywalk gave us absolutely stunning views — the glass-floor platform hanging over the valley is one of those things you’ll remember. We walked the interpretive trail, took in the rugged landscape, and yes, walking out onto that suspended walkway 918 feet (280 m) above the valley floor was both thrilling and calming. We weren’t actually on the glacier itself, but we still felt like we were right in the heart of the wild. The view of the ice-capped slopes and the surrounding peaks framed by the valley is something you’ll struggle to capture in a photo. All in all: definitely worth doing, especially if you’re visiting the area and want something memorable without a full-blown hike. Just go with your eyes open: pick a less-crowded time if you can, and don’t expect it to replace a full glacier walk.

A remarkable experience! Walk on the glacier, and learn about its critical importance and history. Our "Ice Explorer" driver was very knowledgeable, kind and humorous. It was windy, cold and rainy the day we were there, but we still had a fantastic time. Dress for freezing temperatures and wear waterproof boots if you have them. After the ice walk on the glacier, we got onto a bus that took us on an 8 minute ride out to the "Skywalk" where we walked out onto a see-through platform that hangs way out over the canyon. I think from beginning to end, our experience was about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I would consider this a "must do" when visiting Lake Louise, Banff, or Jasper. They do have RV parking, and an overflow parking lot across the street if the main parking lots get full. I believe they even have overnight RV parking available for a small fee. Enjoy your adventure. I know we will remember ours for our lifetime.

Visited in May 2025. All of the staff I encountered throughout were fantastic and knowledgeable. Especially the young lady who had a little stall with info of all the wildlife (sorry, can't remember your name). The views on offer are incredible. Also visited the glacier which cool. (It's quite slippery - wish I chose more suitable footwear!)

Absolutely amazing experience and I would recommend anyone that hasn’t been here please go visit and understand and see how beautiful the nature feel it drink it literally drink that glacier water it’s refreshing . Get ur glacier facial feel how beautiful that feeling is . Also for the team Andy was the best driver it was my second time and my moms 1st and she has an absolutely blast weather was perfect when we visited and I was super excited to share that experience with my mother . The staff is amazing shops cool many awesome things to buy as souvenir and pictures u will get tired taking . Everything is amazing abt this place and experience .

It was first time I was on a glacier, was amazing to see something as beautiful and magnificent at the same time. But sad to see how global warming is impacting all. The ride was good, a 1.3 million Mercedes benz Explorer

You should be prepared to lose phone coverage over 200km and be aware to have enough fuel as the nearest gas station was charging above average around 1$ extra. Other than that enjoy the road as it is amazing the crystal phyerouzi color are wonderful Get a jacket as the glacier area are colder

The glacier visit was amazing. Nice weather, beautiful blue sky. The ride on the bus was amazing and the guide very knowledgeable. Once in a lifetime adventure, great with family and young kids.

One of the most beautiful roads I have driven. Views, stop offs its mesmerising. Would recommend over any other experience in the park.

Information centre building and experience are stunning. The centre has a great gift shop, gallery, washrooms restaurant, lodge and Starbucks. It is the start of the journey by taking the bus to the glacier. It is a life time experience that should not be missed.

We really enjoyed this. We got to walk on an actual glacier, make snow angels and stick our face in the run off, I'd say a once in a lifetime experience. The drive up is just as beautiful.

This mountain and lakes should definitely be on the list of visitors! Take comfortable shoes as the path will not be very winding and in stones. The glacier hanging over the lake and pieces of ice in the water is fascinating!

This is a medium level hike. Some areas are steep, slippery and be cautious. This is my favorite place in Jasper. Stunning and panoramic view. Couldn’t go until end of the trail due to time limitation but definitely come back. Parking is very tight. You have to come early morning. Winding roads.

One of the most beautiful mountains and hikes in the world. The drive to the top where the parking area is amazing. This place is a must visit while in Jasper. The parking lot gets full though and it can be hard to find parking so come very early or very late.

One of the most beautiful places we have visited. A road of about a kilometer and a half leads to a beautiful blue lake where ice floats. The leading road is full of many beautiful stones and the lake is bordered by a huge glacier. The height of the mountain is 3,633 meters above sea level and the Angel Glacier is a glacier that flows down the northern slope of Mount Edith Cowell. The mountain is named after the British nurse Edith Cowell who was executed by the Germans in the First World War. To get to Mount Edith Cavell's parking lot, drive from Jasper on Highway 93 (Glacier Highway) and shortly after passing the entrance to the park, turn right onto Highway 93A.

So cool. One of the best hikes I have done in Alberta! Saw a piece of glacier fall off yesterday which was so cool and a little sad. Trail gets hard near the top of mountain, but good for the heart 🫀. Well kept trail and the end is above the tree line which is interesting . The plants were cool.

Parking lot is really small, I had to wait for about 20 minutes to park. Trail distance is very friendly, only 700m from parking lot to the small pond at the foot of the glacier. It is shrinking, it will disappear some day. The water in the pond is really cold, some small icebergs are floating in the pond. A nice, small place to observe and feel glacier.

This is another waterfall that you really need to stop at. Plenty of parking even for RVs. It was a short walk to the waterfall. There is a trail that you can walk around to see the waterfall. Definitely stop here when driving the Parkway.

We visited Athabasca Falls and loved it! The waterfall is powerful and the scenery around is breathtaking, with the Rocky Mountains all around. Great place to click pictures and enjoy nature — definitely worth a stop if you’re in Jasper.

Very pretty fall, the best fast falling with high intensity fall, beautiful views, you can soak in the nature, breathe in and take nice pictures. The parking lot is decent,there’s washrooms and short walk so definitely must try! The whole area can be viewed on wooden planks so super easy.

Athabasca Falls is absolutely breathtaking! The waterfalls are powerful and mesmerizing, surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. Walking through the footpaths is a stunning experience — every turn offers something new to see and appreciate. Even though the area was affected by the fires, its beauty and strength still shine through. It’s a must-see stop in Jasper — peaceful, scenic, and a true reminder of nature’s resilience. 🌿💧We visited October 2025 and it’s less crowded dress accordingly. Weather conditions change drastically.

A must-visit place on the trip to Jasper. An outstanding fall with a strong flow of water. It shows how small are human. A short hiking to the top and bottom of the cliff gonna bring to you a perfect view of the Athabasca river with burned forest. They are healing but look kind of ugly now.

Must visits if you are at Jasper. Parking is plenty and pretty short walk and one can go down the canyon also a bit.

My fave lake during my 2 week, travelling trip to Canada (more so than Lake Louise). It’s quieter (I went at the end of August), it’s picturesque, there are lots of trails you can go on. There’s a beautiful lake view restaurant and a FAB ice cream and waffle shop. I bought a Christmas decoration from the gift shop. You can go on boat trips (I didn’t- pre booking is essential). And you can kayak (booking on the day only, so everyone has an opportunity). We did a route called “moose lake”. The small “pool” lake was very peaceful and moose are often found grazing in there. We actually saw a moose in the main lake that was a joy to see and apparently he’s often there, showing off to visitors! If it’s wildlife you’re after, we saw a grizzly on the way back down the mountain, about 8pm. Having spoke to a lot of people in the area about this encounter, they all had photos of the same bear in the same area, so I think he also is a creature of habit! Finally, we had lots of food in our RV, so we stopped the next day at lunchtime, on the way up to the lake at a river best, rest stop on the left side. It was so joyous! They have fire pits with firewood to use for free! As well as picnic benches and the odd chipmunk to watch. It’s extremely picturesque and well maintained!

One of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen! Located in Jasper, it is quieter than most lakes but still a beautiful turquoise blue that takes your breath away. We took the Maligne Lake Cruise to Spirit Island and I highly recommend it!

Beautiful lake to spend time at. We did a boat trip out to spirit island which was excellent fun and informative. We also did a short walk after along the edge of the lake.

Amazing views with mountain backdrop. Didn’t do the cruise as it felt little overpriced and had other activities planned for the day. It can be an excellent picnic spot however there aren’t a ton of sitting areas near the water (reason I am docking a star). Either, you’ll have to walk further along the trail to find a good spot or sit away from the water. Plenty of parking with 2 overflow lots up the hill from the main parking lot.

Maligne Lake is absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of Jasper National Park. The turquoise water surrounded by mountains is breathtaking, and the boat trip to Spirit Island is unforgettable. There are also great hiking trails around the lake, making it the perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure.

Maligne Lake is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The beautiful water surrounded by towering mountains feels like something out of a painting. Walking along the trails, every turn offers another stunning view — from peaceful forest paths to lookout points where you can see the lake stretch endlessly into the distance. We took time to just sit by the water and enjoy the calm, and it was incredible watching the reflections of the peaks change with the light. There are boat tours that take you out to Spirit Island, which is truly magical and worth every minute. The air feels so fresh, and there’s plenty of wildlife and scenic spots for photos. Even though the area has been affected by fires, the natural beauty still shines through — and it’s amazing to see how the land is healing. If you love nature, photography, or just peaceful places, Maligne Lake is a must-see in Jasper National Park.

We took the boat ride tour to the Spirit Island, it was wonderful experience worth every penny. Juliana was wonderful host . She shared so much information about the Spirit Island ,Indegenous history,culture and everything you want to know about the lake,mountains, glaciers

What a beautiful trail. Here's the info and experience I couldn't find out before arriving. It is a gradual constant ascent, which actually makes it quite easy. Took us (my wife and I, plus our 4 year old boy and 7 year old girl) a little under 2 hours up, and 1 hour back down. Was well worth it. Not scary, no cliffs or drop offs, just a well traveled constant ascent.

The climb to the top is quite difficult, especially the last 400 meters. The trail runs through the forest, which protects you from the sun, which is comfortable when the weather is hot, and has the appearance of a serpentine. Also, along the way, there are wonderful views of the mountains, you can breathe in the fresh forest air, there are several natural benches for rest. The road took 2 hours to climb and 1 hour 20 minutes to descend, but I was in no hurry, so it all depends on your pace. The view at the top is incredible! I was there on a sunny and windless day and the visibility was very good! The Surphur Skyline Trail is an incredible route with spectacular mountain and valley views. The hike, while challenging, is rewarding with fantastic views and hot springs at the finish. Perfect for those looking for adventure and nature at its best!

This trail is a fantastic adventure for hikers of all ages. It lifts you out of the valley and delivers jaw-dropping views that make every step worth it. As you near the top, brace yourself—the last 400 meters are a bit of a scramble, but the payoff is incredible. Heads-up: it can get pretty windy at the summit, so don’t forget a windbreaker or a cozy layer. You’ll want to hang out and soak in the scenery for a while. Time? Depends who you ask. The posted hiking time is 4–5 hours, but let’s be real: I made it to the top (with photo stops, two water breaks, and a lightning-fast lunch) in under 2 hours—though I’ll admit, I was dragged up. So yes, the timing could use a bit of an update depending on your pace.

It took us 1h30mins up and 1h 15mins down. The walk is under the trees for most of the time and opens up towards the end, where the incline gets more serious. The 360° view is amazing. We saw squirrels at the top (often confused with chipmunks). Absolutely worth the hike.

Wonderful track! The vue on the top is unbelievable and the whole way is so charming, plenty of snow everywhere. It is a bit challenging at the end but totally worth it.

Great trail. It was a pretty easy hike up to the summit. We started early so our wasn't busy up top. Epic views. I would say the best views for the effort. Extremely busy on the way down. Passed SOOOOO many groups. Ended with a cold plunge at the hot springs.

Took us 1h45 return instead of the 4/5h written at the start. We saw chipmunks on top, rabbits on the way down, wild goats in the parking before we started and a black bear on our way back home. What an amazing day! The view at the top is stunning!
