Nice hike, moderate switchbacks, and easy trail to follow. It's a good trail to take the kids
EJ R — Google review
Nice trail, took less than an hour to hike and fairly moderate/ easy.
C L — Google review
Nice little 25 minute hike. Quite icy at the moment and the falls were completely frozen over due to the cold snap we are experiencing at the moment. (Polar vortex) From the parking lot it’s just a 25-30 minute walk, with a slight ascend the whole hike. Can only imagine how nice this fall must be on a hot summer day. Very easy accessible, easy for everyone.
Jakob I — Google review
Moderate hike over 1.5kms that took us about 30 minutes in and 30 back out again. Good foot ware is recommended as there is almost constant elevation changes. We took our 10 year old daughter with us and she had no issues with the trail, saying that there are some very narrow sections so younger kids might need assistance in some places. Overall we enjoyed our hike, ended up being the only group on it when we went.
Brian W — Google review
Easy well maintain in a lush forest trail that leads to a small 2 tiers waterfall. A swing awaits you at the end of the trail for more picture opportunity. Saw a couple with a young child in our way so likely suggest the trail is small family friendly. From kamloops, count 1h30 to drive there. The trail at a fast pace took 15 min each way
Martino V — Google review
Great little hike in the beautiful Shuswap forest! Some adventuring to do if you want to climb the rocks to reach all the levels of the falls.
Maurine S — Google review
Relitvely easy. Lots of parking space, The beginning of the trail is a little steep but as you keep trucking along it is an easy hike. Me and my girl quite enjoyed ourselves.
Mikayla V — Google review
Another beautiful BC fall. About a 20min hike in. Great markers along the way guiding you through the narrow, switchback trails.

Fun course great for all ages. Owner is super friendly and easy going. Been coming here for years and always have a good time. Course is what you expect for the money.
David C — Google review
Employee booked us for a 7:30AM tee time when they don’t open until 8:00AM. We asked for 18 holes and they charged us for 18 holes but told us we could only play 9 holes. At the turn, we bought drinks and then once on the first tee they proceeded to tell us our carts had been reserved and we need to return them immediately. Extremely disappointed and won’t be returning. Would recommend you stay away.
Austin H — Google review
Stopped at course to book a tee time then called later to ask if the course was dog friendly. Was told we could bring our dogs, that the owner had one at the course. At the first hole the owner came, was very snotty and told us no dogs allowed. We explained that we had called the night before. He asked who did we speak to. He then stormed off in his cart, driving over the practice green no less. He then sent the polite young man who worked there to tell us we couldn't golf with the dogs (they are small ones). But we could have one of us sit on the patio and wait,?? The owner needs some customer service skills, maybe from his employee who was very apologetic and polite. We probably would have been ok had the owner not been so rude.Added: The rain check was not offered until our landlord called to express concern over the incident. No raincheque or apology from the owner was offered while we were there.
Grace F — Google review
The worsed course that I have ever golfed on !! The greens a in really bad shape not to mention the fairways which are in desperate need of mowing. Plus it's actually expensive. I will not be going back !!
Lila G — Google review
Fun little course and a good value. The greens and fairways need a little maintenance, but it is playable. Be prepared to walk up and down lots of hills too.

Reds Rentals and Marina

Mentioned on

Boat rental service
Outdoor Activities
Reds Rentals and Marina offers an exceptional and enjoyable boating experience. The staff is highly knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring that customers feel welcome. They provide thorough explanations in a warm and inviting manner. Renting the big red pontoon boat was a great choice, as the service was prompt and efficient with no wasted time during the boat's inspection. The children had a blast going down the slide and exploring Tills Landing.
Reds Rentals and Marina offered an outstanding experience with their extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. We rented a Sea-Doo for 10 hours, and the rate was unbeatable. We will definitely be returning for future rentals!
Amanda L — Google review
Rented a pontoon for the day because the rate was better than a half day. We spent the whole day motoring around Shuswap Lake, visiting the Sea Store and went for a few swims. It was the highlight of our 2 week trip! It’s never a bad day on the water, and our whole group had a fantastic day. The people running the marina and rentals are so friendly and helpful. The pontoon was in great shape and accommodated us beautifully, everyone was comfortable, we had amble room to lounge, and shade was provided by the sun deck. I would 10/10 recommend.
Sam M — Google review
Great staff and good spot for filling up in Channel! Rented a boat to take with on houseboat trip. Was a great experience and great way to see the lake and add to a houseboat trip with Twin Anchors

I haven't had such good customer service in years. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helpful and helped me have an amazing weekend. They gave my daughter a great experience too. Awesome business. Highly recommend.
Ryan P — Google review
Amazing people. HIGHLY recommended. Everyone was great. Forgot 2000 in cash on the counter and they returned it to me the next day. Got a seadoo for a day, worth every penny. Will absolutely return.
Harold P — Google review
Mike, Mark and Ryder (pardon the spelling), were all awesome. We’ve been renting there for two seasons now (Sea Doos) - and the whole experience was and continues to be great!! Welcoming, chill - and even when Lola (yes, they name their Sea Doos) broke down, Blake and the rest of the team went above and beyond providing excellent customer service!! Keep up the great work - and we (wife, daughter and I) - highly recommend this place!! See y’all next year!! And be sure to check out the Sea Store!! So awesome!! Kids can catch fish there with Mike’s secret bait!! 👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Frank C — Google review
Ended up renting the big red pontoon boat for a day. Great service and no time wasted getting a quick once over on the boats operation. Kids loved the slide and explored Tills Landing. Will definitely be back.

MaraHills Golf Resort

Golf Courses
MaraHills Golf Resort offers a challenging game with breathtaking views of the natural mountain formations and Mara Lake. The course winds through forests, across ravines, and features tees overlooking the lake. Despite some changes in management, it remains well-maintained and provides a taste of mountain-style golf at a reasonable price. The impeccably groomed greens and impressive fairways make it stand out as one of the best courses in the BC and Alberta region.
What a beautiful course! Take a camera and your yardage laser. Enjoy a drink and food on probably the most scenic decks in the country. Recommend highly!!
Kevin M — Google review
On the plus side, the views are spectacular, staff are nice. Siting on the deck is magnificent, to various spots on the course the view of Mara Lake are outstanding. On the golf side, not quite so nice. Course carved into a side of the hill, shots hit down the middle will roll off course into the cart path...or worse...down a significant hill. You shouldn't be penalized for a straight golf shot. Too many gimmicky holes for my liking. We played 4 different courses in Salmon Arm area, and when we mentioned to course locals we played Mara Hills, the responses were unanimous. "We either got there once a year, or I've played that once and no need to go back." I don't see the urge to return here.
Spencer H — Google review
It’s such a beautiful course with gorgeous view from top of the hill and so much fun to play. We will definitely come back to play .
Flora C — Google review
Always love my trips to this course. Another 'must play' course if you're in the Okanagan. Who doesn't want to play from the elevated tee at the hole called Geronimo!
Trish C — Google review
Great location and decent enough course, but website shows your cost for round and then when you get to the course, you are charged for a mandatory cart.. which are expensive carts for what you get. I think almost $50 for the 2 players? Why not just have an all inclusive price for the round of golf, if carts are mandatory??? Old carts, faced to sign a waver before heading out. The brakes on the carts were a disgrace, and for this particular course.. believe me.. you need to have good brakes.. just something to consider, if you value your life…. 😬 Beautiful patio.. best in the area.
Stefano S — Google review
Honestly we got a preferred rate today.. and it was almost reasonable. But I would not pay full pop green fees here. The views are spectacular, but much work needs to be done here. This golf course was bought out recently by a corporation, and changed hands from family owned. You can definitely tell the difference. I will make some accommodation for the fact that getting people to work at a course doing labour is hard, but, 1 The sand in the bunkers is terrible and needs replaced. 2 The cart paths are horrible, and far too steep, gravel needs to be cleaned off of them, and more sections need paving. I shouldn’t have to jump off a two seat cart multiple times in a course in order for the driver to make it up hills. 3 The fairways are just ok… but there are many places where overwatering pools even in the direct sun. 4 the course marshal is gruff, and argumentative even when you are trying to be cheerful and follow directions, and hiding in the bushes and yelling at people isn’t cool. Overall not a terrible experience, but again I won’t pay full ride at this course. Next time I will be taking plenty of photos to post detailing my experience, if I golf here again.
Dwayne P — Google review
The best part of this course is the views, but as a group of avid golfers we were woefully disappointed and frustrated. There’s too many gimmicky holes. You’re penalized for hitting great shots, it’s just sloped brutally and over half the cart paths aren’t even paved. We were excited for a Les Furber design, but this is far from the standard he’s set for himself. Views: 9/10 Course Conditions: 6.5/10 Course Design: 2/10 Staff Service: 7/10
Jared L — Google review
The course itself was excellent and made for an enjoyable round of golf. However, the pro shop staff appeared overwhelmed by the volume of golfers that day, and unfortunately, they ran out of golf carts. It may have been their first particularly busy day of the season, but I trust they gained some valuable experience to better manage high-demand days in the future.

Don’t usually write reviews on anything. But I got to give it to these guys! Figured out what’s wrong with my sled in a day! Great service. Awesome friendly staff! Recommend this place 10x over any other. If you go threw Sicamous, this place is worth just stopping by and checking out. Awesome showroom.
Talon P — Google review
Said they had new and used parts available for my sled and to bring in down and told me to bring it down. When I got there they told me if the parts where new they wouldn't sell them to me without install them. Asked to look at my sled even though I told them what parts I needed. Took the hood off my sled and said he'd check for parts. Rather then check for parts he strip it down to each individual piece then handed it to me in a box of pieces and screw and said there was no parts. Asked him to reassemble and said he didn't have time. Very poor service and unprofessional. They also told us H20 motorsports was shut down which is a flat out lie. H20 had the new parts and let me install them myself. They have no plans to close either.

D Dutchmen Dairy Ltd

Mentioned on

Dairy
Sights & Landmarks
D Dutchmen Dairy Ltd is a long-standing establishment that has been offering handmade dairy products since 1978. Founded by Chris and Nellie Dewitt, the dairy continues to be operated by the Dewitt family. Known for its high-quality ingredients, the small family-owned farm in Sicamous produces fresh milk, ice cream, and cheese on-site. The dairy's products are popular among both locals and tourists, with many visitors returning for generations.
A Must-Stop on Your BC Road Trip! If you're traveling through British Columbia, make sure to take a quick detour (just a minute off Highway 1) to visit Dutchmen Dairy—you won't regret it! This charming, family-friendly spot offers some of the best house-made ice cream and dairy products you'll find anywhere. We were blown away by the variety of ice cream flavors, all made on-site with incredibly rich and creamy texture. We also picked up some delicious cheese and spent a good 10-15 minutes exploring the small farm area—great for kids. The whole experience is super accessible, with lots to see and do even on a short stop. Whether you're grabbing a cone or just stretching your legs, Dutchmen Dairy is well worth the visit!
Luna K — Google review
We stopped by on Monday for ice cream and really liked the place and atmosphere. Our toddler was quite entertained by the various tractors he could sit on and the baby cows he could watch. There was a lineup, but it only took about 10 minutes—so not too long. The staff was great and friendly, especially considering how busy they were. The ice cream was okay; lots of choices, we tried Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake and Wild Berries. They were nice and creamy, which was great, but not very flavourful—even though cherry usually is. They also sell milk products, including milk and cheese. We didn’t have a chance to try them.
Tanya M — Google review
Stopped here on the way from Revelstoke — definitely worth it! The place was quite busy, and we waited about 10 minutes in line, but the huge selection of ice cream made from fresh farm milk was worth it. They also offer lactose-free options and refreshing sorbets, which is a big plus. The whole spot has a Dutch theme, with shelves full of waffles, chocolate, and cookies, along with their own dairy products straight from the farm. The property is large and well set up, with gazebos, washrooms, a store, and even a barn where you can see the cows. A fun stop for families and ice cream lovers alike!
Anastasiya L — Google review
We have been stopping by D Dutchmen for years. It's worth taking a break here from the drive to have some delicious ice cream. This is no tourist trap. The ice cream and sorbet are excellent here. My kids look forward to this stop on our way to the Okanagan. The washrooms are clean and another reason to stop by. If you feel up to it, pop across the street to Fruit World for some healthy snacks for the road.
Victor L — Google review
I definitely recommend making a detour to D Dutchmen Dairy for their fresh, creamy ice cream. You can grab a pint or even a tub to take home. The ice cream is rich, full of flavor, and has that heavy cream taste that makes it stand out exactly how I like it. It does get very busy, so be prepared to wait in line, but it’s absolutely worth it once you get that first scoop. A true local gem and a must-stop when passing through Sicamous.
Jackson L — Google review
Great choice of ice cream! You can also find a variety of farm-made cheeses, milks, and fresh cream. There are even some lovely Dutch souvenirs such as ceramic tulips, kitchen towels, and, of course, authentic Dutch waffles. When my daughter accidentally dropped her ice cream at the cashier while we were paying, the cashier—before she even started to cry—immediately said they would bring her a new portion. That was such a kind gesture, and I’m very grateful for it. A public washroom is available, and there’s also a play area for children.
Yulia H — Google review
Dutchmen Dairy in Sicamous was a notable stop on our drive to Revelstoke. I had two scoops of ice cream, and the sea salt caramel cheesecake flavor was fantastic—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. They boast a wide variety of ice cream flavors, which is a major draw. However, on our return trip, I tried the Oreo and mango flavors, and both were a big disappointment. Not only did they lack the distinct Oreo and mango tastes I expected, but they oddly tasted the same, which was a real letdown. The place has a family-friendly atmosphere, with a nice seating area, a small play space for kids, and a barn where you can see cows and goats, which my family enjoyed. That said, the shop gets very crowded, and parking is a hassle. Hygiene was also an issue—there was a fly buzzing around, and the ice cream cones were left exposed without covers. Worst of all, stepping outside hits you with a strong smell of cow patties from the barn right behind the store, making it tough to enjoy your ice cream. Pricing for the scoops is fair: $5.25 for one giant scoop, $6.50 for two scoops, and $8.00 for three scoops. However, a waffle cone costs an extra $1.00, and a bowl adds $0.25, which feels a bit much for basic add-ons. The ice cream quality (when the flavor delivers) and family-friendly vibe are highlights, but the disappointing flavors, hygiene concerns, and overpowering barn smell really detracted from the experience. I’d recommend it for the standout flavors and kid-friendly activities, but they need to improve cleanliness, flavor consistency, and the odor issue.
Janice K — Google review
An all-in-one stop for everyone. Family-run with a welcoming feel, great products and incredible up-close (no cost) experience of the ‘farm’. The ice cream, milk, cheese, butter, etc. is just an added bonus. Our kids loved coming ans it became a daily stop on our holiday.

Golf Courses
Eagle River Golf & Country Club is a well-regarded 9-hole golf course located just outside of Sicamous, easily accessible from the Trans-Canada Highway/BC-1. It has been voted as the best in the Shuswap region and offers a Par 33 Executive layout with a driving range and RV facilities. Visitors have praised the accommodating and attentive staff, particularly for their efforts in catering to dietary restrictions and ensuring an enjoyable experience, even in hot weather conditions.
My husband and I enjoyed golfing here. The course is not challenging, fun with a couple of par 3 mostly par 4. We are not expert golfers but golf well. After we had a couple of beers, talked to some other golfers on the patio and then ended up staying for their wings. Service was friendly and very accommodating :) We felt very welcomed. Great job on balancing tourists and your regulars. We hope to return again soon! 😊

Amazing clubhouse, lots of great products.. was treated like a king . I don't drink but bar looked 🥵🥵 Great little course , well maintained, cheap ... 10/10. i just love golfing here! course conditions were amazing considering how hot and dry its been. mosquitos just a little annoying, just a wee bit. beautiful mountain backdrop and river running around course. wow! Food hit the spot and owner and staff are super accommodating and friendly. thanks for a amazing overall experience!!

Been here every summer for the past 3 years. If you love having the grounds crew/maintenance staff lingering around you the entire time, and mowing the grass 40 feet from you while you’re teeing off or putting, then you’ll love this course. No more business from my friends and I at this place.
Marty — Google review
Course is relatively good but owner Sunny verbally harassed my group of first time golfers, and had poor excuses for sections of the course being closed (not enough rope. Cmon man go to RONA get some more rope across the street). Bad experience based off of horrible customer service. Denise in the club house was the only level headed worker who we could calmly talk to. Edit: The owner Rick was very understanding and helpful for what happened the other day and I will definitely be going back

2 1/2 stars... Pretty darn pricey on just walking this track of a $34 price tag for 9 holes. A good challenge though and tight play and a scenic course in a park setting. Just could not get over the $34 price tag on walking for an exec course. Signs directing to next hole would be a nice touch too so it is less Mickey Mouse guessing to next hole direction. Lady at front was nice though.

Fun time with the grandkids. Nice to see the small carts for little kids.
Debra S — Google review
Went in with my family visiting from out of province today. According to the very agitated man in charge he was not tolerating any crying children if they crash and will be pulling them off their carts. He singled out my niece, pointing at her, assuming she will be one to crash and cry, which of course made her cry so we left. Don't take your frustration with other children out on a small child who was looking forward to the experience. I don't care what happened 10 minutes before we got there, you work in a kid heavy business so get yourself together before talking to children and families that had nothing to do with whatever happened that day.
Amanda S — Google review
A huge shout out to Kelly’s GoKart! This is an amazing place for kids to have fun and some driving experience. The people were amazing, patient and extremely kid friendly to my 2 kids who had no previous experience of go-karting of any sort. I’m so glad they had their first ever experience at Kelly’s. Crazy Creek Hot Pools Resort

Resort hotel
Outdoor Activities
Warm, remote hotel offering informal suites with full kitchens, plus hot spring pools.
We camped for a week at Crazy Creek Hot Pools Campsites. The camping spots were well maintained, and in the forested area, were nice and close to the hot pools. All the trailer sites had water, power & sewer, and our site was quite spacious, though rocky, was very level and easy for setup. Campfire rings were provided, and the pools were very nice after a long days activities, and the adult times from 9-10 were very peaceful. The cabins we did see were very well laid out. The train tracks close by did cause some noise, but we quickly got used to it. The waterfall was a nice hike up to a great location and viewpoint, and the excellent ice cream from the small restaurant /bar/ ice cream shop was excellent. All the staff we dealt with were very pleasant and helpful, and we will be making sure to stop here again.

We had a great stay at Crazy Creek resort! The cabin accommodations exceeded our expectations, very clean and good use of space. Our unit had a small Kitchenette and breakfast bar, all equipped with the appliances needed - perfect for 2 people. Large windows provided lots of natural light and view of the gorgeous scenery and mountains. Large covered patio with picnic bench was perfect for lunch, evening dinner/ relaxing. We appreciated the private campfire pit. We hiked the surrounding area, eagle river and suspension bridge - not too far or strenuous, easy moderate walk, great for families. The hot pools were nice and offered different temperatures and a cold plunge, we enjoyed the adult quiet hour at night. The highway is very close by, but the noise wasn’t bothersome. Units were almost soundproof- very quiet at night. We will definitely come back again!

This was my first time at this resort and I had an INCREDIBLE experience! The resort was extremely beautiful and well-kept, staff was so friendly, and the overall experience was amazing. My favourite part was the hot pools which were great both during the day and at night. I also loved how many dog-friendly activities there were. It's a great spot for a couples getaway; I don't have kids but it was clear there's lots to do for kids and families as well. I will 100% be back again!

We had such a great time at Crazy Creek Resort! Our campsite was super spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We loved using the hot pools and the cold plunge—it was the perfect way to unwind. Our daughter and I had so much fun picking huckleberries right on the property, and the pump track was a huge hit too—we spent lots of time doing sweet tricks and enjoying the space. The whole resort is clean, well-maintained, and clearly run by people who care. It’s a great base for exploring the area, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

First time to Crazy Creek and we will definitely be back! Our room was spacious with comfortable beds and cute decor. The staff were really friendly and the entire resort was really clean. We walked to the beach and saw the spawning salmon which was fun. The suspension bridge was unfortunately closed for the season but we will have to do thst next time we come. Only 30 minutes from Revelstoke which makes it a great location.

It’s long been on our bucket list to visit Crazy Creek Hot Pools Resort. We finally made it there, with our friends Susan and Mike. We enjoyed 2-nights in one of the newer 2-bedroom cabins, enjoyed the hot pools multiple times, dipped our feet into the cold plunge, and relaxed by the fire table on our deck. We also walked over the suspension bridge and went up and down approximately 230 steps to view the waterfalls from multiple viewing platforms. Our dogs had a staycation with Nana and Grandpa, but the cabins are dog-friendly and we would likely take them with us next time. There’s plenty of campsites also for camping and RVs. Plus there’s a nice walking trail around the property. We enjoyed our time here and will plan to visit again in the future.

Staff is always so welcoming and helpful, the pools are always very good for my physical health (hot and cold plunge) and we love having a firepit right outside our cabin door. This Thanksgiving weekend was no different than any other stay. The staff were so helpful. I kindly asked if frying pans should be in the rooms and mentioned that we didn't have one and by the time we got back to our cabin there were frying pans sitting outside our door. thank you for always being a wonderful weekend for my wife and I.
Gord P — Google review
Beautiful spot with great amenities. We had a tough time getting our tent stakes into the ground because it was incredibly rocky ground, but other than that, fantastic. I will mention, the train came past and you could hear it on the tracks, as well as noise from the highway, but there were no train whistles at night and we didn't find it disruptive to our sleep. Clean facilities, great hot pools, and lots to do in the area. Great walking paths to the ruins of the old town that was here as well. We're considering coming back to check out the cabins next time, they looked really nice.

Very nice educational place for family and children. I dont think it should be used for private events such as weddings etc. My camping experience in the campground next door was shredded by "BOOM BOX" bass that literally vibrated through the campsite until 4a.m. They should either spell out the nouse rules for events or not have them. I wasn't tge only camper distressed by this either. So inconsiderate.

This is an amazing learning center right in the middle of a beautiful valley. A great place to take your children to learn about the salmon life cycle, indigenous history and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Interesting place to visit. A must see for kids and parents the last weekend of July when the Kalamalka Fly Fishers from Vernon host a fun fishing day for kids of all ages. The centre features displays involving fish types, life cycles and habitats. Other agencies such as the Rotary and Go Fish BC also get involved. In the fall you can meet crews from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans that show up to perform vital research on returning salmon.

A beautiful place but with no regards to people in the neighboring campsite..Wedding the night of Aug 19, was one private event that there was no regard given to the fact that the peace and enjoyment of others was being destroyed by Rave Like music blasting until 5 am in the morning., other campers actually packed up at 3 am and angrily left the campsite.

Nestled in the lush old-growth forest of the Monashee mountains, The Enchanted Forest is a whimsical attraction featuring fairy tale-themed buildings and storybook characters. Visitors can step back in time and encounter beloved figures such as Goldilocks, Snow White, Winnie-the-Pooh, Captain Hook, and more. The handcrafted sculptures and attention to detail create an enchanting atmosphere for both kids and adults to enjoy.
This is a terrific stop for all ages. It is geared for kids but the whimsy is fun and it’s a nice walk in the forest to break up the drive on the highway. I recommend stopping for all ages. Still reasonably priced + you can buy duck and fish food to feed at the pond
J R — Google review
What a great place to roam around. We are seniors And had a great time. We did take the nature walk and that was quite the trek. What goes down must come up. The whole forest is beautiful laid out. We took about 2 hours to go through the forest. At the end there is a duck pond and a fish pond and you can buy food for both
Jacqueline — Google review
Almost 40 and this place was still magical. The staff are so lovely! Tall gorgeous cedars everywhere and tucked in amongst the beauty is little things from your childhood, every story I had heard growing up was infront of me. It was nostalgic and stunning, the detail that goes into this place is next level. There is a salmon run in the fall, you can walk the boardwalk trail and watch them swim down stream. They have a duck and rainbow trout pond you can buy food in the gift shop for them, the ducks will eat out of your hand! The trout are pigs and entertaining to watch! The nature walk is beautiful but up hill and not super awesome for a prairie chicken like me but was worth it for the pictures! The bathrooms were cleaner than most indoor places and they were outside and had running water! There is an adventure place within it for kids as well but even if you just do the enchanted forest you will be amazed! Highly recommend, this was by far the best thing on our trip itinerary! The gift shop was also reasonably priced, not a thing often seen in BC. Lots of trinkets and tshirts to look through!

Our visit to the Enchanted Forest was absolutely wonderful! It truly brought back so many childhood memories—walking through fairy tale displays, climbing treehouses, and exploring whimsical paths made us feel like kids again. There was so much to see and do, and every corner was filled with charm and creativity. We had so much fun taking pictures, discovering hidden spots, and just enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for both kids and adults to experience a bit of magic. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relive some childhood joy or just have a fun and unique day out!

It’s such a fun and unique place for families, with so many little details that kept the kids excited the whole way through. A perfect stop to stretch your legs and make some wonderful memories!

Take your kids! It's such a magical place full of fairy tale characters in the forest. There is also a cute little pond with ducks and fish that the kids can feed. Absolutely loved it, will be stopping here regularly. Even if you dont have children, it's such a whimsical walk, there is also a nature path that is gorgeous.
JK W — Google review
This is such a cute roadside attraction. They bring childhood stories to life and most of the houses and such are interactive. There’s a 3 story tree house you can go up. The staff are so friendly and welcoming as well. Cute little gift shop at the end if you chose to or you can bypass that straight out. Takes about an hour to go through.
Natasha O — Google review
What a beautiful place, this forest seems like wonderland. The thought behind the creator for this shows a lot of creativity. They have turned things into beautiful leaves of art, tiny little sculptures ,homes ,and if you enter those homes then beddings and other little things. Good place to take your kids to. Highly recommend visiting this for once. You can see this within an hours time. On road and good enough parking space.

We were able to a 3 night RV stay and play accomodation pkg in May. Great value! The staff in the pro shop and in the restaurant were very friendly and incredibly helpful. We were really impressed with the condition of the fairways and the greens for the 2024 season! The RV lot that we rented for the three nights was very large but our biggest issue was the sani dump ports ... it was above ground rather than flush...so you can't hook up and drain on a downward slope. Not sure why they built them so high. Be prepared and bring lots of boards to set up your sani hose system.

Avery T — Google review
It is getting just super crazy on the extra money grabs now and extra fees implemented. Some of which are so extreme and extravagant! This was a go to place about once a yr on average for us until this yr now and to combine staying and golfing we really liked and please know that the golf course is amazing! Cabins etc... No dogs allowed in a beach cabin is really silly and ridiculous to be so honest if they charge a ton of extras on cleaning and for extra dog cleaning too! They want you to just stay at the more expensive house with a dog and still charge a ton of extras I noticed. What if you were a very clean person and maybe even cleaner than the ladies cleaning? What if your dog is small and not very messy? I mean, I always tidy up wherever I stay at! It is the slobs of society that have ruined things for the normal clean people of the world! The lazies have taken over folks but with a big penalty now to anyone who are respectful of motels and cabins out there! With all of the crazy extra fees now and not even to include golf like they did in past, we have had to make other arrangements this yr. Was a staple to go here to Mabel and enjoy ourselves. Review below was from last yr. I know it is not really the golf course's fault but I wished they would get a cell tower up there finally or at least have working internet in the clubhouse to just check business emails every now and then, even when visiting or staying at a cabin up there. 2ndly, why not allow dogs like some other courses to be on the patio??? This is where I bring my 5 star rating down to 3 now. Could have enjoyed some time with the dog on the patio and something different than just at beach cabin. Review below is from the other yr...(based on golf and without the dog with us). There should be much more pet friendly places in the world. Course is a definite 5 of 5! In immaculate shape and with nice scenery and play-ability. Staff are friendly and with a nice patio to watch some putts on the 9th green. Food menu limited but we enjoyed the chicken strips and fries. We rented a cabin too right on the lake and we enjoyed our time quite a lot. Please know though there is no cell service and no internet except up at the clubhouse. Just roughing it once in awhile is quite relaxing. Thanks! (:

The Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre, currently closed until 2022, provides an intriguing look into the history and functioning of one of British Columbia's most powerful dams. The center includes the BC Interior Forestry Museum, showcasing local history and old machinery with a stunning view of the dam from the lookout point. This hydroelectric marvel on the Columbia River created Lake Revelstoke and offers educational insights into green energy for all ages.
Great place to visit to learn about the Revelstoke dam and the generation of Hydro energy. Do the guided tour if possible as the guides have valuable information to share. Couldn’t go to the top of the dam as it was closed. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and would like to learn about the power of Mother Nature. They have fun things to do for kids in the basement level. Free admission!

Just the size of this facility is breathtaking. Totally worth the visit...so interesting to learn how it was built. Revelstoke Dam was one of the highlights of my trip to Revy. I would definitely be back, but perhaps after they fix the elevator as we were not able to visit the Dam Crest. Loved the interactive displays and really enjoyed my visit. Make sure you ask them to sing you the BC Hydro song.
Jack P — Google review
Breath taking we did the self tour as we like to take our time. Lots of interesting information to read how the dam was built. Take the elevator up to the top floor and walk outside to see the dam with the river below. There is some interactive things to try and you can also get headphones if you like.

The Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre is a fantastic place for a family outing, offering both education and a ton of fun. This isn't just a simple dam tour; it's an exciting and hands-on experience that captivates visitors of all ages. Kids especially will love the interactive exhibits and the chance to see a massive hydro-electric project up close. The centre does an excellent job of explaining how the dam works and its importance to the region in a way that’s easy to understand for everyone. It’s truly an educational adventure. The displays are well-designed and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole visit engaging and worthwhile. Plus, the sheer scale of the dam is impressive, providing a powerful sense of awe. You'll leave with a greater appreciation for engineering and the power of nature. It's an ideal spot for families to learn and have a blast together.
James B — Google review
Fun little stop on our way out camping. You can get the history and stats on the dam, and there's a small section of "experiments " and learning for kids. Will definitely go back once the top observation deck is re opened. But there are currently no fees to go in since it's closed.
Amanda N — Google review
We spent about an hour at the visitor center and got the tour from Beth. Very interesting and informative and the facility itself is impressive in it's scale. Unfortunately, the lookout from the top of the dam was closed. Lots of hands-on stuff to occupy young and old alike in the lower level. Friendly staff. Allow a few minutes to go through the security check at the gate (just present ID) before the scheduled tour.
Peter R — Google review
We had a wonderful experience visiting the dam. The surroundings were beautiful, well-maintained, and very peaceful. It’s definitely a great spot to spend time with family and enjoy nature. The only small disappointment was that the lift wasn’t working during our visit, so we couldn’t get the chance to see the view from the top of the dam. Hopefully next time it will be operational, because everything else about the visit was excellent. Highly recommended!

The Revelstoke Railway Museum is a must-visit attraction in Revelstoke, offering both indoor and outdoor exhibits showcasing old train cars, engines, and antiques. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway through interactive displays and educational exhibits. The museum features a variety of well-preserved locomotives from different eras, including a steam locomotive from the 1940s and a business car dating back to 1929.
What an amazing museum for a wonderful price. My family of 6 came for a little over $30 on Mother’s Day and the highlights were definitely going inside the train, the numerous train models, operating the controls (though the machine was not working when we came), and the moving train model upstairs! 10/10 would recommend as it has activities for all ages!
Susan L — Google review
A must-visit for history and train lovers! The Revelstoke Railway Museum is a fascinating stop that brings the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway to life. It does an excellent job showcasing the monumental effort behind the construction and operation of the CPR through Western Canada’s rugged mountain regions. From vintage locomotives and railcars to detailed exhibits and historical artifacts, there’s so much to explore. One of the highlights is the locomotive simulator, which gives you a hands-on experience of driving a train — just bring a $2 coin to try it out! Whether you're a train enthusiast or just curious about Canada's railway history, this museum is absolutely worth the visit when you're in Revelstoke.
Preethy S — Google review
I’m not a great train lover but this museum was fabulous - lots of information about the building of the CP Railroad through the Canadian Rockies. There are old carriages to sit in and see the menus travellers of yesterday enjoyed. Plenty of videos to sit down and enjoy of the railroad from when you need a break from reading. Excellent and I’d revisit.
Malcolm J — Google review
The museum tells the many stories of the Canadian Pacific railway in western Canada's mountains. Since opening in 1993, the museum has entertained hundreds of thousands of visitors. The many exhibits cover a variety of different aspects of the railway system. According to the museum, the average visit lasts about an hour and a half. We were there for 3 hours. The museum is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and an elevator to move between galleries. However, the heritage vehicles are not wheelchair accessible. The outdoor yard is partially paved and a covered gazebo is available. There are very clean restroom facilities inside the museum.
Roy A — Google review
Excellent compact railway museum with an excellent telling of the history about Canadian Pacific railway. The mainline runs by the museum and carries freight trains. Remember to take a CAD2 coin to go on the simulator. The staff will exchange for a note if you’re not carrying change. The museum continues outside with locomotives and caboose (guard’s van) and has a decent souvenir shop.
Simon C — Google review
I was surprised that there was so much to see! Enjoyed learning about the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway and Revelstoke's place in railway history. I especially enjoyed the models, which helped me understand the complexity of what it meant to build the railway

Friendly staff. Pool was pretty nice. $7.50 to swim or $6 to just shower. I recommend to take a swim first. Sauna, and hot tubs and nice features in the lap pool. Rock wall and slide.

This was an amazing pool. I like to go to swimming pools after a camping trip to get clean again and have a different kind of exercise.NOTE: IF YOU DO THIS, ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SHOWER AND SHAMPOO YOUR HAIR BEFORE YOU GET INTO THE SWIMMING POOL. Anyway, I loved the facilities! They opened at 7 AM (Google maps said 8:30 so I hope they correct this), so by being early, I had a lane to myself. The hot tub was a nice finish to my swim. I noticed that the deck and walls are enlivened by wilderness decor, including mountains, spruce trees, and even a bald eagle. The staff seemed competent and attentive.

Amazing pool with the exception of 1 lifeguard who chewed my wife and I out for walking our 4yr boy up to the waterslide (first time being there) When we tried to explain what we were doing and why she began to yell and say if he can't climb stairs maybe he shouldnt be going down the slide..had you been a parent I feel you would understand that sometimes kids just want to be assured. I can tell you we were not breaking any said rules that this lifeguard freaked out. I hope this young lady of a lifeguard gives herself a reality check and doesn't always speak to adults and kids the way you spoke to us. Lucky for her my children were there or I would have had a few other choice words for her. Maybe your glasses need cleaning or your bun was too tight ? Check the attitude lady, even my kids commented on how rude you were.

We had visitors in town from Tofino and Switzerland. It was a rainy day and everyone was feeling pretty low energy. Axe Throwing was the perfect pick-us-up! Dustin was enthusiastic. He also made a point of giving extra attention to those who were feeling shy about throwing after a couple of throws that didn't stick. He did this in a very positive way so everyone remained comfortable. We had a blast!

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a popular destination in Revelstoke, offering an extensive ski area with over 65 runs, two hotels, dining options, a spa, and heated pools. In addition to its winter allure, the resort transforms into a vibrant playground during the summer months. Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as BC Interior Forestry Museum and Glacier National Park of Canada.
The Revelation Gondola at Revelstoke was amazing! Our kids had tons of fun riding up through the trees and onto the Glacier View Deck, where we all took in jaw-dropping glacier views. It’s a perfect family-friendly experience with breathtaking scenery and easy access.

The new mini suspension bridge offers great views. Gravel trails make it tough for strollers. Pipe Mountain Coaster was fun with a short wait. I gave it 3 stars. There isn’t much for a family looking to sightsee.
QQ Q — Google review
Great time on the pipe coaster and the new suspension bridge is a nice and easy 0.5km hike from the upper gondola. The restaurant at the top has good food and amazing views. Buy the 3-attraction Adventure Pass online the day before for best value, you can then do the suspension bridge and both of the pipe coaster tracks.

Beautiful resort with lots of activities to have fun. Mountain coaster, Gondola, Mountain biking, hiking, swimming pool, hot tubs, saunas and great restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here. Only negative is the noise from construction of a new building that starts at 7am until 5pm. When you get a room, ask them to be sure to give you a room away from that area. We couldn't have our door open or sit on the balcony because the noise was too loud.
Janice K — Google review
Visited while passing through from Kamloops to Canmore. We were looking for a way to appreciate the mountains and this did not disappoint. We didn’t have a ton of time as it was a long driving day, but we took the gondola to the top and walked the High Line trail. It has a fantastic viewing platform and suspension bridge. All the staff we interacted with were so kind and welcoming. I would suggest buying tickets online prior to as there was a 10% savings on the admission we missed out on by buying ours at the counter upon arrival.
Pauline C — Google review
My husband and I had an amazing time at Revelstoke Mountain Resort! The gondola ride offered stunning views of the mountains and valley, and the mountain coaster was absolutely thrilling — fast, fun, and safe for everyone. The area is clean, well-organized, and surrounded by beautiful nature. A perfect place to enjoy adventure and relaxation in one spot.
Len N — Google review
First time visiting this place and we came from Edmonton. We purchased the 3 adventure pass cause I wanted to try the sightseeing, the coaster ride and the aerial place. The view was nice and cold, took a lot of pictures there. The coaster ride was nice actually, and apparently track 1 is best (you’ll just have to find out why) and the aerial was fun and tiring. Will definitely come back cause I haven’t really explored the small commons there
Adrian A — Google review
The pipe Coaster was a major highlight of our road trip. The gondal right to the top of the mountain was very scenic and felt like an additional experience on top of the coaster. Staff prioritized safety which was highly appreciated. My suggestion if you are going with a group is to put the faster riders (or who you think will be faster) and have them go first. Or when the light turns green for you to go, wait another minute. That way the person in front won't slow you down. Highly recommend this experience.

Mount Revelstoke National Park

National park
Nature & Parks
Mount Revelstoke National Park, located just northeast of its namesake town, is a stunning 260-square-kilometer park offering wooded hiking paths, rainforest terrain, and breathtaking elevated views. Despite its relatively small size for a national park, it boasts diverse landscapes including old-growth rainforest with ancient red cedars and pine trees, steep mountains, and abundant plant and animal life.
An absolutely stunning place, the meadows in the sky parkway is a great twisty drive with viewpoints along the way and it brings you out to a panoramic view at the top. There are two small car parks at the top that fill up early - one for RVs and one for cars. It's popular because the summit is a short 1km hike from the car parks. The panoramic viewpoint is 100m from the road which you can park cars along one side of (but not the other). It is a beautiful view from here over the mountains and there is a nice bench. One problem we had was there is only one way onto the parkway and a booth with a single person controlled entry. We had a parks pass already but it seemed like many people didn't and decided this was a good time to have a discussion on the merits of the parks pass. Unfortunately there was no lane for drivers who already had a pass so although we were only 5 cars back it took about 15 minutes to get it. I think this is an oversight and could be managed better, but didn't spoil the drive.

Be prepared for cooler temps than down in the town of Revelstoke. Many gorgeous trails criss-crossing the top of the mountain. Picnic tables and pit toilets. Amazing wildflowers when we went in mid August. You cannot drive the last 1km, but the road is still available to walk up. My husband went up and said the view was fantastic. Even if you just stay near the parking lot it is still gorgeous and there are many trails to explore.
Catherine K — Google review
Fairly simple trails at the top of Mount Revelstoke that could be completed in ~4-5 hours. The trail is well maintained, but could get muddy under sub-optimal weather conditions. I had a great hike despite the rapid-changing weather conditions. The views at Jade Lake was a bit anti-climatic. If you aren't intenting to camp, stopping at the ridge between Miller and Jade lakes is sufficient. The ridge had by far the best view of the trail.
Kevin L — Google review
Beautiful mountain and park! You can drive almost right up to the summit (short, but fairly strenuous walk to the summit from parking lot). Unfortunately was hazy from wildfires when we visited, but it must be one of the most spectacular places imaginable on a clear day. We found a rare BC lizard on the mountain, couldn’t find the salamanders. Come for the views! Note there are also trails down the mountain at lower elevations with spectacular forests.
Kent 1 — Google review
Stunning place. A little busy and had to line up at the park entrance to go up the mountain. It was about 45-60 min wait in the mid to late afternoon. When we got to the top it was nice and cool on a hot summers day.
Kim C — Google review
We did a fantastic half day hike from about 2/3 of the way up to the top of the mountain. I highly recommend not driving all the way up - there are some really beautiful trails and very helpful park staff eager to help anyone with questions. Highly recommend!
Michelle H — Google review
A beautiful park to visit! Well worth the long trip up to the top of the mountain to see the amazing view and glorious mountain Flora and Fauna! Loved it!
Michelle D — Google review
The drive up to the top is spectacular! We did this drive in mid July and the wildflowers lining the road were beautiful. There were many hikes available along the way up, it was not congested with tourists, and parking was available in the middle of the day at the top. There was also a free shuttle up and down for those not able to make the short uphill hike to the summit. I would highly recommend this park and the sky meadow parkway for anyone who would like to enjoy the Canadian Rockies without crowds and with light to no hiking.

Made a random stop here and it's a lovely area. Great place for a short walk into nature and to stretch your legs.

Just stopped randomly. Very nice spot for a break. Nice washroom facility. Very nice relaxing feeling. Trail is very small
Bhavin P — Google review
Looks a lovely place but unfortunately the trail is closed and there is no sign on the road to advise people. You can still see a nice river and mountains, and also a picnic area with washrooms, but it’s not worth unless you can do the trail. I may come came next year to see, but better check online first!
John B — Google review
Most of the trail is closed. Looks like a lovely picnic area. We came for the boardwalk. So only spent about 20 min here since most of the trail in blocked off .
S N — Google review
Trail is closed long term, no signs until you hit the barrier after 100mtrs. If you're thinking about Giant Cedars as an alternative, same thing there!
Annika E — Google review
Stopped in without any prior knowledge of this place. Saw the sign on the highway, had time, figured why not. Beautiful rest stop paired with a short boardwalk through nature. Cool place!
Jackson C — Google review
The washrooms and trail are closed. Didn't disclose those details until you drive down to the parking lot.
Wendy D — Google review
We've been visiting Skunk Cabbage Trail on and off for more than 2 decades whenever we drive through the place. Most of the old boardwalk has been blocked off now. Although we do miss some benefits of the previous longer one, especially the part where we could look for frogs in the wetland beside the walk, the current shorter one makes it a really easy "short and sweet" walk. The area is much wetter and warmer compared to the Alberta part of the Rockies. As a result, the plants and vegetation are very different. It also has a big picnic area and spots to look at the beautiful river running beside. Some people say skunk cabbage should be stinky. But strangely we've never smelled of that.

Hiking Trails
The Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail in Mount Revelstoke National Park offers a serene and family-friendly experience. The short hiking loop takes you through a beautiful rainforest landscape, allowing you to walk among towering 500-year-old cedar trees. Interpretive signs along the route provide information about the local flora and fauna. Despite being temporarily closed due to snow damage, this stop is known for its easy access to British Columbia's famous old-growth cedars.
Easily accessible place right off the highway. Initially we were confused since the first spot to enter the path indicated it was closed but then to the left further in the parking we found the start of the boardwalk. It used to be a loop but due to the conditions in the forest, part of the boardwalk collapsed. Unfortunately people were stepped off the boardwalk to take photos near dome trees close to it. Signs indicated that is not allowed but some people are clueless. I visited it in mid-July so it’s busier than expected. The signs along the path offer a lot of information regarding fauna and flora. Highly recommend!

This trail is on the way from Calgary to Vancouver. We found it when looking for a washroom. It takes only about 15 minutes to walk. Very easy, good for parents too. You can see old forest and big trees. Bring bear spray. A nice stop to rest during a long trip.
Rita L — Google review
Sep-2025: Second time coming here and it’s as beautiful as before! They did a lot of maintenance like installing brand new boards in most of the trail. Small part of the trail still closed for repair but you can still enjoy the beautiful giant cedars! There are plenty of parking and washrooms. Definitely worth a stop!
John B — Google review
Magical and peaceful walk through ancient giants We stopped at the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail just off the Trans-Canada Highway, and it was absolutely worth it. The boardwalk is short (about 500 m) but incredibly scenic—you're surrounded by massive, old-growth western red cedars that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. The trail is well-maintained and easy for all ages—no hiking experience needed. It’s shaded, quiet, and full of earthy smells and birdsong. There are also little signs along the way that share interesting info about the forest and how old some of these trees are. It’s a quick stop (15–30 minutes), but it really leaves an impression. Perfect if you're passing through Revelstoke and want a break from the road.
Asaad A — Google review
Great stop for break on a road trip. Decent amount of good parking for rvs, trailers and cars. Clean washrooms and numerous picnic tables. Nice boardwalk around the big trees and good break from the traffic. No services here other than washrooms.

It was amazing to see Giant Cedars again. Half of the pass is closed , due to fire in 2021 but you can see enough to be amazed. We spent 20 minutes taking pictures of a mushroom 🍄 great walk, but have good shoes it is slippery
Ola B — Google review
You can find the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail about 30 kilometers from Revelstoke, B.C. The walk is about half a kilometer and takes you right into the heart of the forest in Mount Revelstoke National Park. Some of the trees found in the Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail are at least 500 years old. This is such a beautiful location. I really recommend this place.
Coucai — Google review
Wonderful boardwalk walk in the woods - giant cedars everywhere. They have a lot of work to do to fix the damaged section affected by storms, and hope to visit again when it is all repaired. I feel awful that such a beautiful park got hit so hard, but know they will get it all done someday. Appreciate the easy walk for the kids. Was not crowded at all. Beautiful place in Revelstoke National Park.

Nestled on the stunning Arrow Lake with a backdrop of the majestic Monashee Mountains, Halcyon Hot Springs Resort offers a serene escape into nature. The resort features modest accommodations, a rejuvenating spa, and dining options. Guests can indulge in various treatments such as massages and dry skin brushing before unwinding in the invigorating hot and warm springs. Visitors can also enjoy breathtaking views while soaking in the mineral-rich geothermal pools.
We had an amazing stay at Halcyon Hot Springs Resort! The views overlooking the lake and mountains are absolutely stunning, and the hot springs themselves were clean, well-maintained, and so relaxing, exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit, and the whole resort had a calm, laid-back vibe. We also really appreciated that they let us charge our EV during our stay, such a thoughtful touch that made things even more convenient. Whether you’re looking to unwind in the pools, take in the beautiful scenery, or just enjoy some quiet time, Halcyon is a perfect spot. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

We visited here a few years ago everything was near perfect! Now it’s lost its way, no breakfast, exactly one knife and one fork each, no spoons, no dishes, the web site does not mention you need to bring your own supplies. No information in the rooms and staff are no longer friendly just doing the minimum possible and not happy. The location is wonderful, the pools are wonderful, but who ever is reasonable for customer service needs attention to details for a tourist resort.

Overall, our water experience was quite amazing. It was so nice to be in not chlorinated water. We only stayed for 2 hours on an impulsive hot spring adventure. Lower pool must be salt water. Very relaxing. No noisy kids No staff interactions Change rooms very clean today Also, there was a place to fill water bottles, much appreciated Nice

Cabin #1 is a nice little cabin. Very close to the lodge. It was very clean and well maintained. Had some issues with the heat in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Other than that it was great.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed 2 nights in one of the Queen Cabins. The cabin was cozy and clean. The hot spring pools were relaxing and a nice way to end each night. The staff were friendly and it appears as though they take great care of the property! I would recommend staying here!
Sam V — Google review
We did a lovely day trip to the Halcyon Hot Springs Resort from Kelowna. It was my first time at any sort of hot spring and it definitely met my expectations. The entrance fee was fair at $18 and I don’t believe there was any sort of time limit. We were there for around 3 hours which felt like plenty of time to enjoy both of the spring fed hot pools and the cold plunge pool. There are lots of loungers to lay on as another option for cooling down or basking in the sun (on warmer days). The facility looked well maintained and also included a gift shop where you can purchase general supplies or even a towel/bathing suit if it’s been forgotten. Keep in mind that there a pay lockers on site for $1. However, we found that the lockers were unnecessary because we could easily place our belongings in sight while outside at the hot spring pools. Overall a great experience and I plan to come back again.
Sean P — Google review
Just went to the springs. Restaurant was closed, no rooms available, restaurant was closed. Good gift shop. Had all the travel sized bits you might have forgotten including swimsuits. Great pools, wonderful view, easy to get to. Shortly after getting off the Nakusp ferry, long drive from Halcyon to Nakusp.
Lynne R — Google review
I drove 5 hours to celebrate my boyfriends birthday here, we had an issue with my credit card which would be sorted after the long weekend. The staff made it incredible difficult to try to work around booking without the credit card, we tried paying cash and debit and changed our minds. The customer service was TERRIBLE. I was told my money would be refunded to my card, and it never was. I have tried contacting Halcyon several times about it and each time the girls at reception have been dissmisive arguementive and refuse to give my money back or to have someone else contact me regarding the refund. DO NOT STAY HERE. 0/10 for customer service.

The beach itself is beautiful, lands done nicely. The water is dropping so fast the dock and booms are basically out of the water. Something needs to be done to fix the Columbia Basin Treaty to allow water to help locals and non locals to fully enjoy all the Arrow Lakes has to offer.

Upon arriving in Nakusp, the individual had made a booking at a campsite that turned out to be closed. However, they were able to seek assistance from the Nakusp Chamber of Commerce's Visitor Center and received excellent help. The center not only helped them arrange for a new campground but also provided information about local matters such as traffic and ferry schedules. The individual expressed their gratitude for the exceptional aid received.
We had great four days here! First we’ve visited the tourist information and Tracy gave us a good clue what to do and where to go. Directly after our visit we had a break down of our spark distributor so we ended up spending new year and three more days on their parking lot with our RV, waiting for new parts to arrive. We didn’t had any issues at all and were very welcome by all of the staff in the visitor center and the library. Glad to meet that friendly people around here! Thanks again for everything!

Review is about local residents not chamber. Multiple interactions with off leash dogs aggressively approaching our leashed dog. Owners didn't care and did nothing every time. One even said "why don't you go back to where you came from". Tourists should definitely drive on through without stopping to spend their money if that's how locals feel!

Staying at plenty of campground across Canada this one was the most memorable, and beautiful for me. Surrounded by mountains. And on clear lake. Everything was reasonable. The staff were so welcoming and informative. The pit-toilet actually had deodorizer or a smelly thing in there, I never knew out houses could smell good! You could leave stuff at the beach without any worries!

Magical! Felt almost tropical...Well maintained, very conscientious fellow campers lots of families with kids (& kids making new best friends), amazing views of the lake (try to reserve the lakeside spots you get to wake up to green and blue bands of lake color and light sand!) We were in a double spot with friends, which was perfect for us. Nice and clean, renovated (with nice-smelling cedar!) front campground reception office, clean and new outhouses, drinking water and dishwater dump stations conveniently located near most campsites, paved paths excellent for kids on bikes and rollerblades. The beach is huge!!! very soft sand beach that takes your breath away. It's almost a tropical feel. Silty, squishy sand getting in and out of the ly a soul on it and views to take yourlake. Top inch or 2 is warm water but the rest is quite cool; still, it's refreshing! See you there next time!!!! Edit: forgot to add one small negative. You do hear the occasional car passing by on hwy6 (which wasn't busy when we were there mid-August), as the campground is not far from the road. (So aim for booking a spot far from the road). If you don't like hearing cars when camping, Blanket Creek Prov campground farther north nearer to Revelstoke is far from the road and also truly amazing (although aim for a May visit there, when the river is beautiful and wide (& before the mosquitos are too bad. )

Had a great time here amidst sunshine and rain. Campsite was flat. Picnic table looked new. Hot showers, but beware of sensor light turning off every 4 minutes. Located close to Nakusp where grocery store is open 8am to 8pm.

A very nice campground! Right on the edge of the lake, lots of area to go for little hikes. The sites are kind of close to each other, so if you're looking for a lot of privacy you may not find what you're looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they understand what people need when they're camping. Firewood ($10 per bundle) Pick a site that's not reserved and set up, they will come around and you can pay then. $30/ night + $12/ night for extra vehicle. The lake water was very low at the beginning of September, so if you're planning on bringing paddleboards etc be prepared for a bit of a walk down to the water.

What a great place. Very quiet. Powered sites are a bit small and tight together. We got site 18 which is powered off by itself very close to the water and beach. Beach is nice and sandy. Water is awesome clear and cool. Free showers and $5 sani dump. I highly recommend

Well kept and maintained provincial park. Well shaded camping spots (without power), spots with power don't have as much shade. Hot showers, upgraded pit toilets, long sandy beach with lots of spots to access, recommend bringing a beach umbrella. You can paddle across the lake to another beach too. The playground is new. If you have bikes bring them as spots can be far from showers, also handy to get to playground. Well situated for trips to the hot springs and Nakusp. Volunteer host Wayne was super friendly and helpful as were the park staff. Firewood and ice available to purchase.

A beautiful gem! Campsites are all well kept. Thete are free showers by the entrance with a dishwashing station, too. Its Pit toilets, but the staff clean on a regular basis. The beach is fabulous, you can walk forever. It's great for paddle boarding, fishing, or just sitting on the beach. Campsites are medium sized, good space between your neighbours. Portable drinking water, and a sani station. Generators are allowed 9-11am & 6-8pm. There is firewood and ice available from the park operators, who are friendly and helpful. Nakusp is only a 10 miniute drive to town where there is a beautiful little town with a fantastic waterfront walk and park. Lots of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, liquor stores, and a save on-foods. Highly recommend this beautiful Zen campsite. It will be a regular visit for us. We went in September, the best time to go...quiet and relaxing 😌

Nestled in the breathtaking Kuskanax Valley, Nakusp Hot Springs is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience. This rustic lodge features two inviting outdoor hot spring pools where visitors can unwind while soaking in stunning mountain views. Located about 20 minutes from town, the journey to these natural springs takes you along an unpaved road leading to Kuskanax Creek.
Always an enjoyable and relaxing spot. Nestled in the middle of a forest next to the creek for a nice soak in one of two natural hotsprings pools. In the summer the hot pool is cooled down to a nice 85° instead of 104 in the cooler seasons. Very scenic in all seasons. There are nice hiking trails to a remote lake or to the old hot springs, the source of the hot water in the thermal pools. A rough trail exists on the other side of the creek for hiking back to town. I used to hike that trail as a teen. There is a bit of camping and a few chalet cabins available. Though I have never stayed over. And there is even decent cell phone reception. Snacks and local goods are also available. The caribou nursery is right next to it as well. Always friendly and helpful staff too!

Dear Nakusp Hot Springs Team, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As proud locals and owners of Bear Ridge Cabins just down the road, we can’t sing the praises of Nakusp Hot Springs enough! This place is an absolute gem, and after 18 years in Nakusp, it still feels as magical as the first day we visited. The staff is always incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, creating such a warm atmosphere. The change rooms are spotlessly clean, and everyone we encounter is so pleasant, making every visit a joy. We love sharing this tranquil, beautiful spot with our family and friends—it’s the perfect place to unwind and soak in the serenity. The scenic drive to get here is a treat in itself, and that stunning walking trail just steps from the hot springs is the cherry on top. We’re so grateful to call Nakusp home and to have the village run such an exceptional facility. We feel so lucky to have this slice of paradise right in our backyard. Thank you for keeping it so wonderful—we’ll be back again and again! With heartfelt thanks, The Bear Ridge Cabins Team

My original plan was to do the hike to the lake and take a dip and hit the road again but honestly fell in love with everything about this hidden gem. Friendly staff, clean and well managed amenities so I decided to come back the next day hiking from town (didn’t stay at their resort due to relatively higher fees for the tent sites lol). This trail was longer than the lake hike but absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended for people who are into hiking and want to relax after. Not recommended on weekend though as Sunday was really busy.

Lovely hot springs in the mountains, great views all around when you are in the hot springs. I did find myself wishing there was a cold pool to cool off between dips in the springs, especially as the day was warming up. Loved the walk to the historic source, which has recently been board-walked in several spots. Stunning mossy forest!

We have been going to nakusp for many years. Always in September to avoid the summer business. We had the best 5 nights, beautiful weather, awesome hikes and many May soaks. The staff is great. They try hard to make everyone happy. A shout out to Michelle, John , Lizabeth and any one else whose path I may have crossed. 🩷 We always leave well rested and planning our next trip there. ❤️ Highly recommend the farmers market and the Mediterranean restaurant down town. The local winery is also 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spent a couple nights in the RV camp area...I was in site 21 which worked really well for me as it's located away from most of the other sites and my 16' Airstream Bambi tucked into the spot quite nicely. Arrived on Day 1 about 2pm, dropped off my trailer and headed to Halfway Hot Springs which was an awesome adventure to a public remote riverside hot spring. Came back to Nakusp Hot Springs in time for dinner and then got the evening pass which was also good for all day soaking the next day. Everything was fantastic...the icing on the cake was the hiking trail adjacent to the parking lot. The trail has recently been improved with some fantastic wooden walkways. I made it to the old hot springs area...just a beautiful hike.

Beautiful spot deep in the mountains ⛰️ 😍 Quiet peaceful tranquil!!!!! We had the smaller room in the back of the cabins was well stocked for what it is. I would suggest a shower hose type so one could rinse off after the day. The tube was well let's say tiny. The price was far far better than any of the local ( BC ) hot springs and was sufficient for us We enjoyed our stay very much.

My husband and I spent an amazing two days at the resort. We stayed in one of the small chalets it was clean and well maintained. Staff were wonderful taking as much time as we needed to ask question about the resort. A lovely piece of Kootenay history.
