Lovely beach but its a muddy beach not sandy.

Nice place to have a small walk on it, or may be sit a while there looking at the sea. There are some boats where you can have a small trip with, didn't try it but i know that it's free for kids under 12years old, and it's 500DZ for adults I have the habit to walk there for 10min and that's it.

If you are looking for a beach for your kids to swim safely.. you can consider going there. Very crowded though in weekends but you can enjoy the fresh air late at night you can go there

Nice place for an afternoon walk

The Mausoleum of Mauretania (note the correct spelling) is a must-see for anyone interested in historical architecture. I will make the same comment as for the ruines, A wonderful place with great potential, but it needs restoration and better infrastructure to attract more visitors. With proper care and improvements, it could become a must-visit destination

A beautiful historic site with breathtaking views of the surroundings. The templs is in good shape but if only they would renew it. The entry for everyone is 100DA and for students and old people 50. Free for kids. There are very nice spots under the trees for picnics and barbecue for families and groups. The parking is free and available. There is a restaurant just by the sight.

Breathtaking views of the sea on one side, and the valley on the other. You can't actually enter the masoluem, but this is such an interesting part of this site's history. Don't forget to allocate some time for a nice coffee or beverage at the restaurant colocated at the site.

Amazing place. Definitely recommend to visit with children before 10-12 years. Beatiful shows. You can do pictures together with sea lion, dolphin, parrot, lemur. The park has beautiful territory and zoo. There are few restaurants on the park.

What a special place. So much fun! Negatives, its a little pricey, and they dont have a vast amount of animals. The pros, wow, the shows are phenomenal, especially the dolphin show. Amazing, just amazing. Yes its pricey, but honestly the shows itself make it worth it! Get over there. €20 cash or €17 (paid online) to touch a dolphin and have a photo (included) is such amazing value. You wont find better. So while its not a cheap day out, it's 100% worth it, and id go back again, and again.

Nice animal Park got discounted tickets so went with family. The dolphin and sea lion show were amazing definitely recommend going and seeing them. At the top. Is a great view of aqualandia which is right next door. Overall a good place to visit with family.

Pretty cool. We did combine tickets with Aqualandia. So we visited this place in the morning. We arrived about half past 10 which gave us time to look around and the watch the parrot show. Which was very informative. 2 of the parrots did not listen to the trainers and decided they were staying out just jumping on the rope. After that we headed to the sea lion show to watch some very happy sea lions and then the dolphin show, which has 8 dolphins doing tricks. The place is small so wouldn't recommend spending the whole day there as you can watch all the shows and see all the other animals in around 3 hours. Prices for photos with animals is around €20 euros I recommended paying for these before you enter the park.

In my opinion, Mundomar a bit too pricey, compared to Oceanografic in Valencia. However, dolphins did an amazing job performing, the instructors are great. Stunning view from the top! I liked it

It was a good day plenty to see and great shows.But don't bother with getting the VIP TOUR as you are unable to take Photos as they block you and say only me.The photographer was a bit rude and right in my face as I attempted to get a photo.

A great day was had by the whole family. The animals were amazing, well worth going to the shows, birds, sealion, and dolphin. There are other experiences which we didn't do this time. We purchased the combo ticket for mundomar and aqualandia, which was a good saving.

A brilliant day out for the whole family. We have two boys aged 6 and 7 and they both had an amazing time. We brought our own packed lunch after reading other reviews as the food in the park didn’t seem like the best option, and this turned out to be a smart decision as there are plenty of picnic areas available. We booked our tickets online which cost £109 for the four of us. On arrival, we rented a large locker for €10 (smaller ones are €7). They give you a PIN code printed on a receipt which is a bit odd, as it means you have to go into the water with a piece of paper to remember your code. It would make more sense if you could set your own code. We also paid for two sunbeds at €7 each and the inflatable ring floats came at an extra cost too. This felt like a bit of a rip off, as items like floats and sunbeds should really be included in the ticket price. This is the main reason we’ve given 4 stars instead of 5. That said, the park itself is spotless and very well maintained. The lifeguards, although quite young, did a fantastic job and we felt very safe letting the boys explore nearby. The children’s area is the best I’ve seen in any water park as it has a full section with obstacle courses, smaller slides and jumping platforms. We would definitely visit again for another family day out.

Great day out with the Grand kids here. Take your own drinks and food as the kiosk prices inside are a little hard on the wallet (€3.75) for a 1.5 ltr water that you can pick up for about 60 cents in the supermarket. €5.40 for a beer 🍺. Apart from that, it's a lovely park that kept the boys busy all day.

We visited on a Friday in August so was very busy as expected. However we found the park to be clean, well organised and we all had great fun, dragging the kids away after about 7 hours. Queues for some slides were 15-20 mins but plenty of shade and well mannered. Didn’t attempt to get a sun bed or picnic bench (which looked like you needed to be there early to get) - just sat on a towel on the grass which was fine. Lifeguards very professional and kept good order.

It was too crowded for me, even though we visited on a Wednesday. However, the kids had a lot of fun, which is the most important thing! We will come back! Food was available at affordable prices. What surprised me was that the lockers and lounges required payment.

Aqualandia in Benidorm is a great place and an absolute hit with kids—plenty of rides, pools, and attractions to keep the whole family entertained. The park is clean and well maintained, and overall it’s a fun experience for both children and adults. That said, the downside in high season is the waiting times. Some rides had queues of up to 90 minutes, which meant that even though we spent the whole day there, we couldn’t try everything we wanted. On-site food is also very expensive—for example, a gofre with just one scoop of ice cream was over €7. Security lockers cost €7, and hiring a large inflatable wheel is €8 plus a €2 deposit (though this does give you an advantage on Rapidos, where you can skip the queue). Overall, it’s still a great experience and the kids loved it, but the long waiting times and high prices take away from what could otherwise be a perfect day out.

Levante beach was simply beautiful. It is well maintained, clean and safe. Sunbeds can be rented for only 6 euro for the day. Excellent place to relax.

Lovely beach but very busy. Chairs and umbrellas €6 each, you just sit down and someone comes round to pay. Close to shops you have people walking up and down selling cocktails and offering massages. A place with taps to wash the sand off your feet. A warning women do walk around and lounge top less if this offends anyone.

A great beach. However, it is rather populated with many tourists and locals making it rather busy. You can hire a sun-bed at only €12 overlooking the Mediterranean, turquoise, yet quite transparent sea. 🌊

I visited Platja de Llevant in Benidorm at the end of December, and the weather was surprisingly warm, not hot enough for a swim, but perfect to enjoy the sun and a long walk by the sea. The sky was clear, the water shimmered in deep blue tones, and the whole promenade was lively even in winter. Historically, Platja de Llevant has been one of the main symbols of Benidorm’s transformation. My Days in Benidorm 🥰 🌸❣️ It was August, and Benidorm welcomed us with 41-degree weather 🥵. What wonderful days we had at the beach, strolling through its streets, trying out restaurants, watching the sunrise, or walking at night while enjoying the nightlife. We’d wake up early to enjoy the sea and walk along the sand. Each day was unique and amazing! Creating human connections, observing and learning about their lifestyle and culture made the experience even more enriching.

Old Town benidorm is a absolute gem , loads of shops bars and cafes it's more cultured than new benidorm and old town is more traditional, its definitely worth exploring plus there are two beaches a small cove beach and the large beach and the harbour

A epic theme park loved it, very good value for money, plenty to do for adults and a good selection of rides for small kids. Quite a few shows, realt impressed with the cleanliness of the park, plenty of toilets and bins ( with ashtrays ) food selection is your typical stuff with beer as well. Good size car park with taxi rank only 15 euros to the beach in benidorm and hotels. Staff are polite and speak some english as well as spanish and other languages. PARK IS SET UP FOR DISABLED PERSONS AND BUGGIES IN MIND 😉

We visited Terra Mítica during Halloween 2025, and it turned out to be a fantastic place to enjoy with the kids. The rides are really well done—just note that most of the big ones require children to be over 1.4 meters tall. One of mine was a bit shorter and was a little disappointed she couldn’t go on everything, but that’s something to keep in mind. A fun tip: there are two water rides—one on a smaller setup and one on a big boat. We ended our day on the big boat ride and got absolutely soaked. The good news is I learned afterward that they have drying facilities on site—something I wish I’d known sooner! So you can dry off before heading out if you get drenched. All in all, Terra Mítica is a great spot for family fun, especially during the Halloween season. Just keep those height requirements and the handy drying stations in mind.

Such a disappointing review. Initially, I wanted this review to be 5* however there were some segments of my day that didn’t go particularly well to my desire. Why so? I waited for one of the rides: EL LABERINTO DEL MINOTAURO and we waited for 41 minutes in a hot room without any sprinklers present to cool you down. Additionally, once I got onto the ride, the laser things weren’t working properly even though I accurately aimed at the targets. You should honestly fix that ride. This ride is the chief reason why I rated this theme park 3*. However, there more positives than negatives… I really enjoyed the water rides: the rapids and that ride with the huge drop at the end and you get absolutely. But due to meteorological conditions. You will dry extremely fast within 15 minutes at least, fully. I also went on the orange swing ride (whatever it is called) which was so fun. Furthermore, prior to riding the orange swing ride, I went on the blue rollercoaster something associated with Titan theme (I think). That was highly fun and I do recommend it.

What a fun place, where you can soend the whole day. All the water rides are the best fun and on a hot day getting wet was great. The park itsellesi is a master piece and so clean aswell. All the sets and atmosphere, with different countries and eras. The shows are great with really talented actors, dancing, singing, stunts and the stage settings. The pirate show was amazing, loved it. All in all a great day. Yes it does take a lot of money to enjoy, since food and especially drinks are very expensive. But if you compare to theme parks around the world, entry fees are not as high for the quality of this theme park. It really is a place to see and experience. We will be back.

A great day out with loads to enjoy. Every time we have visited there are very few queues for the rides, great water play areas and amazing shows. We always try and visit once a year and haven't ever been disappointed!

It’s a great place to visit with your family when you're in Benidorm — huge, clean, and packed with fun games. If you purchase tickets online, you’ll receive a wristband, which lets you skip the queue by using the “entry for disabled” line. However, this wasn’t clearly explained, and it should definitely be made more obvious.

I was there for new years celebration (2022/2023) so the season was quite lean, with only a few people. I found this place very relaxing. Amenities are appropriate, beach very clean and good eating places around.

Really great for disabled people access and kids. Really soft and clean sand and bits of shingle. Toilets and kids play area. Not many cheap touristy shops but plenty nearby if ur walking on the way down.

Benidorm is for British people so you feel at home there but you will notice a lot of local staff would rather look after there own

Good place to spend with family ! Very close to see the animals. Was amazing to stand near the giraffe which was fed and take the photos! Friendly staff!

I had a fantastic experience at this safari park. The staff are polite, friendly, and very professional. Everyone we interacted with spoke English, so if you don’t speak Spanish, you won’t have any problems. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, and you can see them from surprisingly close distances, which makes the whole visit really exciting. One important thing to know: the last chance to buy a ticket is at 4:00 PM, although the park itself remains open until 7:00 PM. Three hours is more than enough time to explore everything without feeling rushed. My personal recommendation is to arrive on a weekday just before the ticket office closes, around 3:40 PM. By that time the crowds have thinned out, so you won’t end up stuck in a line of cars, and you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the park. Also, don’t miss the drive on the final stretch before you arrive. The road winds through the mountains, and the scenery is absolutely stunning — it really adds to the experience.

I’m putting three stars as the personal was helpful and the safari ( first part of the experience) by itself is actually nice, animals enjoyed a lot of space and the local guide explained well. It just becomes sad when you see the Lion, wolves and tiger in relatively small cage. The highlight was to see a woman in a keffiyeh — symbol of anti-colonial struggle — sipping the view next to a Coca-Cola vending machine (aren’t they supposed to boycott that?). She’s taking photos of a meerkat in a cage while dressed in the attire of resistance. Paying for entry to a zoo, supporting capitalism, and snapping pictures of imprisoned animals… all while wearing a scarf that screams “freedom.” Modern activism looks a lot like selective outrage wrapped in tourist behavior. Hypocrisy, neatly packaged.

If you’re looking for a unique wildlife experience, this zoo is an absolute gem. Even getting there feels like part of the adventure. The drive winds through a stunning mountain landscape with breathtaking views around every other corner. Just be aware that parts of the road are quite narrow and twisty, so take it easy and enjoy the scenery. Once you arrive, the experience really kicks off. You use your own car for a guided tour through the park, stopping at each animal area while the guide shares interesting facts in both Spanish and English. The tour begins with curious ostriches and ends with the majestic lions, and in between you’ll meet zebras, camels, water buffalo, wolves, and even tigers. It’s incredible to see these animals up close in such a natural setting. After the driving tour, there’s a smaller zoo area where the “little guys” live. This part is perfect for stretching your legs and wandering around. Here you’ll meet everything from lemurs to giant tortoises, and don’t miss Eddie the Lama – he’s a total charmer and loves meeting visitors. To make it even more magical, peacocks roam freely everywhere you go. They’re so beautiful and add to the special atmosphere. What really stands out here is how well the animals are cared for. The whole park is dedicated to protecting endangered species and rescuing animals that haven’t had the best start in life. You can tell the staff are passionate about what they do, and it’s reassuring to see the animals living in spacious, clean environments. A little tip: bring plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes. There’s quite a bit of walking involved, and it can get very warm, especially in summer. This place is an unforgettable experience for animal lovers and families alike. The combination of amazing animals, stunning surroundings, and a genuine focus on conservation makes it something special. Highly recommended – this is the kind of place you’ll want to tell all your friends about afterwards.

We visit the Safari on Sunday it’s a long drive up to the mountains. Once you get there the drugstore will guide you to see all the animals. You can buy your tickets online or at the counter. The tour is for two hours

We took the guided tour and got a lot of info about the animals from the guide. The animals is in good condition but would like to see more greenery in the animals closure. The tour lasted over 2hrs so bring something to drink. We ate at the restaurant after and we recommend the cheese and bacon burger 👍 Nice staff.

Super nice island to spend the day, it definitely gets very packed in the main bay. It’s nice to have a stroll around and they have a few stores. I would not recommend using the bathrooms there though not clean at all.

Nice place to visit. On my perspective, not to stay overnight unless you have special activities to engage - the tourist tour can be covered in one day. No sandy beaches, round stone mainly. However, the water is clean, warm, and transparent. Bar / Restaurant offer is OK. Prices seemed a bit high. A small but nice art gallery may grab the visitor's attention.

Visiting Tabarca Island felt like finding a secret Mediterranean world. Only a few dozen residents live here, yet the seafood restaurants are incredible — fresh fish grilled by the sea, chilled white wine, and calm ocean breeze. It’s peaceful, photogenic, and perfect for anyone who wants real island life without the crowds. I’d come back just for the food and silence. 🌊✨

Such a beautiful island near our house. We rode a big boat from Santa Pola that costs us 10€ back and forth. There's a line of ticket booths in the port. They will give you a brochure to show the boat return times. It was a nice 25-minute ride. It can be super hot so don't forget to bring sun creams, hats and umbrella. We went around the island to see spots with few people because the main beach is packed. We ate at a nice restaurant with menu starting €18. Though we end up paying more than €100 for 4 persons. Costly like other islands. We didn't have a reservation but I suggest to have one as it can be full especially on weekends. There are small bars and restaurants and few stores for clothes and souvenirs. There's also an atm near the La Pecera. Also bring aqua shoes. Some beaches have stones and slippery. We will definitely go back.

Absolutely brilliant place to spend a couple of hours. It's free to access but if you want to use the lift it cost €2.70 (can only pay by card). A few refreshment areas within the castle selling drinks and ice cream. Well worth a visit!

You have the option to go up the castle via the side walk (not very hard but neither easy) or take the lift (you need a ticket). If you go up via the park you can go down without the need to buying a ticket - pretty convenient. The lift is the best option for a hot or rainy day, or with limited mobility.

When visiting Alicante, it is essential to set aside half a day to explore this castle, and all its history, which is rich and varied. You will have the opportunity for an incredibly beautiful view of the city and the sea. We recommend from the bottom of our hearts.

When I visited Alicante, I’m so glad I took the time to explore this castle, it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. The history is so rich and interesting, and walking through the different areas really makes you feel connected to the past. The views from the top are absolutely stunning; seeing the whole city and the sea from up there felt amazing. I truly recommend setting aside at least half a day for it. From my heart, this is a place you don’t want to miss.

The elevator up to Castille de Santa Barbara is access from the beach side. Cross the road towards the castle and you will see the entrance. The cost of the elevator is only a few euros per person well worth the spend. Take the elevator up, then do yourself a favor, and walk down through the tiny Pueblo (village) Barrio de Santa Cruz.

Fantastic views across the city of Alicante. Get there just before sunset to watch it setting in the West. We visited for a Wine tasting session in the evening, very popular so need to book well in advance.

Although we have been here many times we try to visit whenever they have a special exhibition on. These vary through the year and are exceptional. The permanent exhibits are great too so if its a girstbtime or a second visit I would highly recommend it.

Very well organized museum, the permanent area is showing the old Hispanic and Mediterranean history, plus a multitude of objects found around Alicante. Interesting and a good stop to enjoy.

It is well organised and informative place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tickets are not expensive. Few minus was English was lacking in some areas especialy where you could press on screens. Several areas were made accessible to the blind people, but again this was only in a few places not throughout the museum which it would great idea to keep for those people. There is nice coffee shop with seats. So if you don't like visit museum you can enjoy cup of coffee or fresh orange juice in a shade under big autralians huge trees. Solution for everyone

We had a wonderful visit to MARQ in Alicante yesterday. The building is beautiful, and the park in front is lovely. We attended a candlelight concert and truly enjoyed every moment – such a magical experience!

The full size dioramas of archeological digs on land and sea were impressive. The normal side of the museum was well laid out and had interesting exhibits. The interactive displays had text in different languages, including English. The ticket office wasn't in the most obvious place and the signs were misleading. It is the building on the right and the automatic door entrance is round the corner, not visible from the main gate.

Yet another visit to this incredible museum which has won awards for its forward thinking and versatile exhibitions. This time we went in March 2025 and the exhibition including information about Hannibal crossing the Alps. Fascinating to see the coins of 218 BC one showing an elephant! This museum never disappoints. What an incredible experience today as the Terracotta Warriors exhibition draws to an end. The staff were helpful and couldn’t have been more friendly. A striking and memorable day.

The caves of the Arabs have a unique architecture and beautiful views to the nearby river.

No signs,no roads. We spent more than half an hour inside and around the village and couldn't find a trace. Google location is wrong. Takes you to a dead-end road, and the Tripomatic location takes you in an area of summer houses. We gave up. One of the most visitor's unfriendly places.

A very different and exhilarating historical tourist attraction! The interior of the caves is a bit of an assault course.

Quite a few tight spaces and uppy body strength is required to navigate through the caves. Unique and interesting place with nice surroundings.

An ideal place for people passionate about exploring and looking for a unique experience

Awesome place to visit. Clear water beach, not crowded, parking is a bit tough though. Great for kayaking and snorkeling too.

We did the tour so we could go all the way up in the light house. It's a 6 Euro admission p.p and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. The stairs are very narrow so you go up in single file. The tour guide speaks about the history of the light house and you get a good sense of when and how it was build. The tour is in Spanish so if you want to follow you need some basic knowledge of the Spanish language. The 360 view is stunning and you can see all round. All together a nice piece of history from the region.

Our guide Emma was great. She gave us a lot of interesting information about the lighthouse, the surrounding area, and local history. Her commentary was in spanish and English. She would answer any questions and give extra information. The lighthouse itself was easily worth the €6. The views from the top were lovely. 30 minutes long and only 10 guests was perfect.

Stunning views.... And the lighthouse in amazing condition.... Sadly you don't just go for a walk around But still worth a visit

Nice lighthouse on the top of the hill. Beneath it small lagune. Unfortunately it's no access to the lighthouse itself, it would be nice to climb on the top. The view from nearby is amazing, Mediterranean sea in it's beauty is enormously beautiful. Also nice view to Mar Menor. Free parking. No charge for entering the area.

One of the great sites of Spain let alone Murcia. Plus the restaurants and beaches of Cabo de Palos are next door.

It's a great little beach, shallow so great for kids. Bars and Restaurants. Not a private beach usually busy in summer. Super for locals who live close bye.

Beach inside the harbour. A little bit of rubbish floating in the sea. Nice bars with good access to the beach. Plenty of space. Very calm for kids to swim.

Lovely sandy beach and clear shallow waters. A good choice of restaurants from traditional Spanish to Italian and Greek along the shore. In the summer months, there are a couple of ice cream huts where you can also rent sunbeds and parasols for the day. There is a paddle boarding and kayak hire place on the beach. It is a great place for families to enjoy.

This is a lovely beach ⛱️🏖️ with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. Swimming is not encouraged as there are no emergency services. The sea is very shallow and no tides as it's partly enclosed. Very busy in the summer.

Very nice and quite beaches, where swimwear is optional. Nature meets nature, so not for people who fear others enjoying their freedom to experience this nature.

Beautiful, quiet beach in a nature reserve. We really enjoyed our time here. The beach is clean and peaceful, with fish, crabs, and even turtles. Access is time-restricted, and there’s no cell service, which makes it a perfect place to disconnect. Parking is available, and lifeguards are on duty. No restrooms or showers, but in summer there’s usually a portable toilet on-site. Definitely worth a visit for a change of scenery!

The beach itself is rather nice and fairly few people their. I wouldn't give the sand beach 5 stars however, but the cliffs to the right of the beach was amazing! By walking 5 minutes or so we found at least 3 great spots where we could lie down on fairly smooth surface as well as being able to jump or walk into the clear blue water. No other people in sight. Went there two days in a row and will definitely return when I'm in the area in the future! The only downside is that you need to park your car 10 minutes drive from the beach, pay 3€ per person and take a bus (which leaves every 30 minutes) to get to the beach. All in all: for couples who'd like some privacy - find great cliffs to the right of the beach. For families (or others) who'd like a beach with fewer people - just pick a spot on the main beach.

Excellent natural beach with easy access - depending on the time of the year, it can be accessed by a shuttle or by driving directly (in the off-season). The beach is well-maintained and there are bathroom facilities not too far away. The whole area is beautiful, with a backdrop of towering hills and sand dunes. There is also a protected natural environment nearby, which is awesome for nature lovers. Easily the best beach I've been to.

The trip was totally worth it! I went with a friend that is a local so we had the pass to get directly into the parking area. Virgin beach with golden sand and limpid water, it was a great day!

Beautifully kept, tranquil not at all busy, the peacocks were a lovely surprise with a very reasonably priced entrance fee

The hotel was chosen for its close proximity to the Teatro and the rooms set amidst a beautiful garden. We booked a Junior Suite which was a lovely stroll amongst the greenery. Extremely clean big bedroom with big bed, big tv and a big spa bath in the big bathroom. All staff were happy and helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. Plenty for 4 courses if you're that way inclined! We didn't use the restaurant as we ate out but the bar and bar staff were good too. Excellent (yes) 'big' pool area adorned with lovely twinkling lights for the evening.

What a beautiful botanic garden set in the middle of Elche. All the specimen plants and trees were very well labelled. Admission is about 5 euros with a slight discount for pensioners. The only negative is the availability of parking resulting in circling the narrow streets of Elche several times. There is a large underground parking about 300 mtrs away but there is a hotel with the same name much closer that would b much closer

Tranquil, picturesque place with lots of palms from around the world, quite a variety of cacti, peacocks walking around, water features. All creates an atmosphere of joy, peace and tranquility. We love feeding peacocks as there is a special food available to buy next to the exit.

Beautiful park full of palm trees — a lovely place to visit if you’re in Elche. Peaceful, green, and perfect for a relaxing walk. 🌴

This place is really special, unfortunately I only had 20 minutes here but could have spent hours strolling around. They have some amazing different palm trees, plants & all sorts of other species. There's also some cool peacocks around! It was around 6 euros to get in but truly worth it. If you like to take photos of those types of thing, you'd struggle to find somewhere better!

Fun to do it once. Purely for tourists, locals do not go here :) Collecting the mud from the bottom is a bit tricky, you would need 2 small buckets, one for digging underwater, one for collecting. Water is really hot in places, so watch out :)

Imagine yourself covered in the wonderful mud spa, for free. Even young people enjoy this experience as it feels so good. The smell might be a bit funky, but just think of your future beauty. No worries because this mud spa is all natural and worth a try. After it, you will feel like a brand-new person.

Good experience, plenty of room for everyone as imagine will be busy in summer months. Lovely beach on other side with lovely bars/restaurants. Free spa experience, albeit a bit whiffy! Parking could be an issue.

This place is so much fun, take a bucket and collect the mud from around the platform where it is thickest. Slap on the mud all over and wait for it to dry. Take a dip Is the shallow knee deep lagoon to wash of the mud leaving your skin feeling soooo soft. A flannel is good to take to help get the mud off afterwards.

Wonderful experience we always visit when we're in the Orihuela area it's a must , exfoliate the mud all over your face & skin, the best bit is a lovely soak in the salt lake skin feels amazing after.

An interesting experience, there are several piers here where you can get into the sea. There you take mud from the seabed and massage yourself. Then you let the mud dry on your skin and wash it off in the sea. Remember to take a bucket with you to collect the mud.

It looks beautiful, but when you smell it, it can be off putting. There were people already covered in the mud. Things you need to take, sea shoes (it's hot on the floor of the mud flats) a tub to crap the mud into and stand on the pier to put in on. I loved floating in the lagoon to wash of the mud. You need to give it a good scrub to get it off. We were talking to other Brits who were telling us that it helps with their eczema.

This castle despite being one of the smallest we visited on our trip is so worth it. Bair village is just delightful and it’s a must to have a drink in the main square

Amazing place! We love it! Entrance to the castle is only 1€!!! Totally worth it to goo all the way up and see the panoramic views. Only one thing what we didn't like that the landscape was destroyed by the industrial buildings

Lovely walk up to Castle with great views over the valley and town. Well preserved and worth the 1 euro entry to the tower and roof top.

Very interesting, peaceful place to visit. A bit uneven ground in places. We spent about an hour looking around.

Other than the tower there's not a huge amount to explore but it is all well maintained and the signs (though a little hard to read) give good explanations in English. Our visit was during a storm so we couldn't take advantage of what must usually be a great view from the roof.

Great views nice walk

The church stands on a hill overlooking the town of Novelda and with Castillo de la Mola next to it. The church is very unusual and influenced by Gaudi's style and a real architectural gem. Built between 1920 and 1946 the interior is nothing out of the ordinary but the decorated outside, the slender bell towers and the rustic style make it well worth a visit. There is plenty of parking about two thirds of the way up the hill and a lovely cafe in between the church and the castle.

A fascinating small church just outside Novelda, close to Alicante. It’s worth a visit of around 90 minutes which includes the Mola Castle alongside the church. No entry fee but you are welcome to make a donation. My review will soon be on my Two Passports Packed travel blog which can be found through a Google search.

Looks amazing from the outside but it was light, bright and fairly modern on the inside. Spectacular views in the surrounding grounds with a cafe to get light refreshments or a restaurant for a meal. It really was the alround experience.

A short one way climb with the asphalt road to the free parking lot next to the church. Very nice place on the hill with a great view of the surrounding area. In the area there is a free and clean rest room with toilet paper and soap at least in gents part😉

The santuari is very beautiful on the outside and looks like it has been inspired by the Sagrada Familia but on a much smaller scale. The inside is a little plain but still worth a visit. The castle, I didn't enjoy. There isn't much left of the ruins and while there is a step you can climb to the top, it's completely in the dark and without railing so it didn't feel safe. What was also a downside to our visit was the horde of school children yelling and screaming and running around, uncaring that someone was trying to take a picture, and the teachers who had brought a huge speaker and put the music ridiculously loud. If they rented the place for a private event, then close the santuari, if not, someone should be there to keep things in order. You can't really enjoy your cup of coffee in the middle of a club.

Amazing cathedral. Staggering beauty. I really love the architecture of this place. While the stone materials are unique, the soft , flowing architectural shapes are strikingly similar to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Santa Maria Magdalena is a detail-seeker's dream, with the various patterns of stone work. The spires are absolutely beautiful. We were, however, disappointed that opening hours listed on Google were incorrect. Hence, we showed up about 5 minutes too late for an inside tour.

Importantly double check opening times before you go, I went on a Monday and it was closed. But that actually gave me a really awesome experience as nobody else was there. The castle is absolutely stunning 😍

Amazing castle... So pretty with high walls everywhere. Amazing views and you can climb all the way to the top of the tower!

We had an amazing experience, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we took the tour without a guide, there was a lot of QR codes with plenty of information. I was able to take photos and video and we learned about the castle. We loved it! Tickets need to be bought in the tourism office.

At last a castle that was open! Buy tickets from the Tourist Information a couple of hundred metres away. Well worth the explore.

The castle offers a beautiful backdrop for photos and is great for a quick visit, with a nice mix of peace and charm. No crowded place. Convenient parking is available near the ticket office.

If you follow the signs to this place rather than your sat nav it takes you to a small car park next to the Tourist Information where you can buy tickets for the castle. The castle is a few minutes walk and the custodian on the gate is very helpful and knowledgeable with very good English. The castle is superb - a 10th century Arab core that was expanded and updated after the Christian conquest. It has been well restored and there is a very good route that you can follow which covers the curtain walls, inner bailey and keep. There are lots of information boards as you walk through and some great little features like the drawings done by Italian prisoners in the 13th (?) century and marks from the cannonball damage in the eighteenth century siege. The views from the tower roof are both awe inspiring and nauseating if you look over the edge! The medieval core of the city looks interesting too although it is swamped by less than attractive modern development. A great castle to visit and very good value (€3 for an adult) for the couple of hours we spent there.

5 stars – Fascinating and beautifully presented! The Museum of Underwater Archaeology in Cartagena is an absolute gem. The exhibits are not only rich in history, but also beautifully curated and easy to explore. We were especially impressed by the stories of ancient shipwrecks and the recovered artifacts – it’s like taking a journey through time beneath the sea. The museum is modern, well-organized, and great for both adults and kids. It’s a perfect stop if you’re interested in history, the sea, or just want to learn something new in a stunning location by the port. Highly recommended!

Quite interesting interactive exposition right in the puerto! With parking and other attractions definitely a must see! Sundays are free.

✨ Visit to the Archaeological Museum – Aqua, Cartagena As a couple, we had the chance to enjoy the impressive exhibition and the museum’s wonderful collection. Sole deserves a very special mention for her professionalism, kindness, and warmth. She made our visit truly memorable and enriching.

This is a magical and amazing place to visit with your family and children, allowing you to dive into the history of shipbuilding, when large sailing ships roamed the seas and fired cannons. It’s got a fantastic pirate atmosphere of long voyages.

Super museum! ⭐⭐⭐ I really liked the idea of ​​combining a visit to the museum with a quest. For children to look for superheroes in different locations and win prizes. The children are not bored and it was interesting for us to look at the exhibits. There are a lot of different eras and even interactive expositions where you can interact with different objects. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Took the opportunity to visit during the Museum Night weekend and was super impressed with the exhibits displayed. Though it was quite disappointing to see that not all stations were functioning i.e. interactive buttons does not respond (not sure whether it has been deactivated due to pandemic safety measures). Overall a great exposure to the underwater archeological history and would definitely recommend families to visit as means of educational purposes!

This marine archaeology museum in Cartagena is superb. Amazing artefacts from Phœnician , Roman, Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish wrecks, all incredibly well preserved and conserved. A set of Roman slingshot bullets looked like they were freshly cast, as were ingots of lead, tin and bronze. A big set of very large Roman anchor stocks were a great surprise as they were all well preserved lead castings too. A modern, stylish and very well presented museum. Level access throughout.

This is a wonderful attraction and the main reason we drove 1 hour to Cartegena. There is an informative exhibition you walk through giving historical information on Cartagena and the Romans. You eventually come out into the Theatre and have to say it looked amazing. This was big enough to seat 7000 people so can only imagine the atmosphere it would have had back in those times. The view from there would have been terrific as well. Two adults were €8 each and 2 students at €7 each. £22.72 for a family of 4 in total. It always amazes me how much cheaper it is to visit places in Europe compared to the United Kingdom. I'm guessing there may be heavier government funding contributing but museums like this are kept immaculate and everyone visiting is very respectful of their surroundings.

We sailed in on the Star Princess. Had a tour through Princess. Amazing museum and ancient ruins. We had the place to our tour group. A few folk were there before and after who were on their own. It is a very large place. When you go in to the museum make certain you look at the ancient founding double wall, built by the Phoenecians.

We visited while on a cruise excursion. We were in a small group, but 50 small groups ='s too many people in a very special place. It definitely a bucket list place to see though!

The Roman Theatre in Cartagena, an Incredible place with a rich history, is a true gem – remarkably well-preserved for its age, over 2,000 years old, it is impressive both in terms of atmosphere and scale. It's a must-see on the Cartagena map – perfect for history and architecture enthusiasts. Tickets aren't necessary just for spectacular photos; it's worth visiting in the evening when everything is beautifully illuminated. The view from the publicly accessible, upper section near Torres Park is excellent and for free.

Beautiful place! We planned to go inside, wouldn't mind paying but ended up from our carpark in the gardens on top of it and found out you can walk all around it with views of it all for free. So if you're not bothered for the museum inside, no need to pay to see the theatre. At the top there are gardens and more to see of a little castle. Whole Cartagena is worth the visit

Ancient amphitheatre and modern museum in Cartegena... a lovely place to spend a few hours taking in the sights and soaking up the history. The town itself has a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants, some of which are tucked down little side streets. All of this is a short walk from the beautiful marina.

I just can't understand how places like this get buried or built on top of. I dont understand past rulers or crusades. So much history here and so well preserved. One certainly does not need to imagine much here to see how it actually was. It would be amazing to hear a concert here today.

We loved our visit to the Catedral de Murcia! ⛪️ The architecture is absolutely breathtaking, with its mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque details—you can spend ages just admiring the façade and intricate doors. The plaza in front is vibrant and welcoming, filled with cafés and terraces where we enjoyed a hearty brunch while soaking up the atmosphere. ☕🥐 It was such a nice stopover in Murcia—easy to wander, beautiful to photograph, and full of charm. The cathedral itself is impressive inside and out, and the surrounding square feels like the heartbeat of the city. 🌞 If you’re traveling through Murcia, don’t miss this gem—it perfectly combines history, culture, and a relaxed Spanish vibe. Highly recommended for anyone passing by! 🌟

Beautiful cathedral with a fascinating mix of architectural styles visible from the outside. The details and decorations are absolutely breathtaking, and it really makes you appreciate these kinds of buildings that simply aren’t built anymore. Entrance is €5 for the cathedral alone or €7 if you want to visit both the cathedral and the museum. The downside is that in the museum almost all descriptions are only in Spanish, with just a few objects explained in English. For most of the exhibition you’ll need to rely on Google Translate.

The main attraction in Murcia is this magnificent cathedral. The facade has many saints and the structure has many architectural designs. Definitely a must visit.

An impressive place that proves luxury and indulgence are nothing new—they have existed at the highest level for centuries. A wonderful experience, especially considering the very reasonable entrance fee.

Impressively pretty inside, with nice flow to go between the rooms and adequate description in brochure. Good entrance fee. Quite compact, you can visit it all in ~45 minutes.

The 19th century Real Casino de Murcia in Murcia, Spain, is a private social club where the local elite could meet. It's still used for that purpose but tourists are also admitted for a fee. Entry to the Moorish Patio is through an Islamic-style horseshoe arch. The design of the Moorish Patio itself was inspired by the Alhambra in nearby Granada. Leaves of pure gold were used by the decorators. The ballroom features gold-coated bronze chandeliers decorated with Baccarat crystal made in Paris in 1886.

We had a long weekend in Murcia. The Old Town in Murcia City is the most wonderful place with so much to see, including the Real Madrid Club, ( nothing to do with football). It is an eclectic collection of the most wonderful, opulent rooms, and is a MUST visit if in Murcia City

Wow 😯 absolutely stunning building with beautifully decorated rooms and decor. The Arab entrance alone has 20,000 individual gold leafs adorning the walls. The ballroom is stunning as well as the English influenced library and Billiard rooms. A must see attraction for only 5 euros ( 3 if you are a retiree)

Just steps from the Cathedral, on the famous Calle Trapería, you can admire the splendid Royal Casino of Murcia. Its extraordinary beauty and elegant interiors earned it the title of National Historic Monument in 1983. Built in 1847 as a luxurious entertainment venue for the city's wealthy elite, it continues to serve this purpose today as a private club with highly select members. After extensive renovations, the casino became "Royal" in 2009, at the behest of King Juan Carlos I. The casino is open to the public, who, with an admission ticket, can access some of the sumptuous interior rooms, immersing themselves in the glittering past of the city's wealthy elite. Aesthetically, the entire building features an unusual combination of different styles from various eras, making it a unique monument. The sumptuous facade, designed by architect Pedro Cerdán Martínez, features classical and modernist decorations, resulting in a highly eclectic result. The entrance to the casino is the most fascinating space, a true Arab patio inspired by the most refined Moorish palaces, such as the Alhambra in Granada and the Alcazar in Seville. Other rooms worth visiting are: the English Library, entirely made of wood; the luxurious Ladies' Hall, with a splendid painted ceiling and gilded oval mirrors; the Pompeian Patio, decorated with classical columns and statues; the Ballroom, built between 1870 and 1875 in neo-Baroque style and adorned with gigantic chandeliers. In addition to visiting the casino's rooms, you can also visit the restaurant and bar and attend exhibitions, displays, and cultural events. Ticket 5€ per person.

A beautiful and interesting place. Apart from the huge sandstone formations, driving just a few kilometers further on, there is a mini-nudist beach, as well as a giant swing overlooking the sea.

Interesting rock formations next to a nice beach area and large car park. If staying in the area and looking for a relaxing afternoon, it's worth a trip here. There are a couple of restaurants too.

Beautiful and impressive sandsculptures. There is a QR code to take you to the detailed information about the sculptures in English, however its disappointing that you first have to sign up to the town's newsletter so we didn't bother. Also the enormous and EMPTY (in January) car park only allows a 4 hr stay so you can't park there overnight if visiting restaurants.

Free parking the water is so much more clearer than mazarrón beach and you have oasis bar which has great food and service

Great point of interest. Perfect viewpoint and stunning creation by nature. Reason for the 4/5 is the lack of protection and preserving of this landmark by the responsible authorities. Keep in mind that there is no protection (fencing/danger signs) on top of the location. Keep in mind that this location is created by erosion and that collapse of the edges on top is a potential danger.

Really fascinating place. Comparable to the Hoodoos in Drumheller, near Calgary in Canada. Well worth a visit. Great road trip down through the mountain pass.

Yes they are some unusual rock formations caused by weathering. A decent photo opportunity from the large open piece of car park in front of them, which is also suitable as a wild Camp motorhome stopover. The beach opposite is fantastic.

The staff was very unfriendly. The young blonde lady at the reception didn't bother to be courteous or friendly, wouldn't tell us about the possibility of renting bathrobes, didn't care if we had any children and elderly people with us ( and we did) , she wouldn't show us around, didn't explain the options, super cold and unwelcoming. She literally did nothing except throw the locker keys at us and demand the extra 5 euros and the bathing caps, for €6, which we already brought with us . The thermal spas outside were clean and we'll maintained. The location is awesome I just wish the staff were friendlier, would have been a much nicer experience.

We had our wedding here may 23rd, it was amazing! The nature and the atmosphere was just what we wanted. Even though it was a rainy day and we had planned for a wedding outside Laura solved everything and always kept me calm and updated. It has been so easy to work with her and she always had a solution for everything. I dont think i could have made it without all of lauras help! We will always be greatful for all that Laura did for us 🙏🙏🙏

This is a place we go to regularly on day trips, as we live close enough not to need to stay in the hotels. The pools are amazing and the food in the restaurant is great. Staff are lovely, especially if you try your best spanish on them. Would thoroughly recommend

We’ve been coming here as a family for years as we holiday relatively close-by, unfortunately I’m not sure we’ll be frequently now. The facilities are the same but the cost increases with every visit. At nearly €100 for a family of 4 on a Sunday it is not good value. I appreciate it’s a different experience but it is now cheaper to go to Aqualandia or Aqua Natura. To me it seems crazy that their prices are comparable.

We stayed in the Hotel Thermas, which is a lovely ancient building with such character. Inside, it's clean and bright, infact we watched the cleaners each day not only cleaning in general but literally getting ladders and wiping down each lamp hanging from the ceiling. We stayed in the junior suite, not a thing out of place, not a stray hair, not a bit of dust- our cleaner Gloria did an amazing job. We had 3 people in our room, they gave us 6 towels, 3 bathrobes, a fridge, 2 tvs, a king bed and a pull out in the other small room, walk in shower with 2 sinks, ac in both rooms, tea and water available with a kettle. There's 3 hotels that all share the thermal baths. There's an inside and outsise area, we preferred the inside as it was warmer and had more bubble chairs, sprayers, and "lazy rivers". The common areas were spotless, the unisex bathrooms were spotless. There's a bar available at the baths so you can have a drink and snack without leaving the area. The spa itself was reasonably nice except my daughter and I had the same massage but we had different massages, so im not sure if they are certified RMTs. We also had drills blasting during our massage so it wasn't totally relaxing. Our massage was in the area attached to the office to get into the pools. Food wise, there's a few places. We had breakfast at the hotel, which is buffet style and has a pretty goos selection of pastry, fruits, juices, and bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel also has a very basic dinner available, it didnt look appealing at all. There's a more upscale place within the pool area opposite the bar, but we didn't attend as there wasn't any vegetarian options. The casino was the best spot, it offered drinks, snacks, and a few mains and desserts. Otherwise, you have to go into the town to get more selection, which I recommend. Scenic little place, super clean, and relaxing. Also, lovely amount of cats who love some pets.

Booked circuit for 3 hours with couple massage attraction hour in circuit but was not allowed back on to the circuit after massage so only got 40 minutes in spa could not get into outside area or restaurant Very disappointed staff not very helpful
