Casablanca

Casablanca, a bustling port city in western Morocco, boasts a unique blend of French colonial and Moorish architecture. The iconic Hassan II Mosque, with its towering minaret and laser lights pointing towards Mecca, stands as a symbol of the city's modernity. While much of the Mauresque and Art Deco buildings from the French Protectorate era have been lost, efforts are underway to restore these architectural gems.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Kasbah Izoran in Midelt. The owner was welcoming and made us feel at home. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable with a very traditional kasbah feel. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with vegetarian options available. Ample parking space available for anyone driving with their own car. Payment was straightforward, with cash accepted (including US dollars). Overall, Kasbah Izoran is a solid choice for those seeking an authentic, family-run kasbah experience.

We were so fortunate to stumble upon this beautiful hidden gem to break up our drive from Fez to Sahara. The views were incredible- a little canyon gorge and a village across the fields, all offset by the snow capped Atlas in the backdrop. One can walk through the lovely orchards straight into the village or the canyon. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mustafa takes great care of his guests and creates an atmosphere where fellow travelers can socialize and share their stories. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us, Mustafa!

My partner and I stayed at Kasbah Izoran in mid April. We booked our room very last minute on our way from Fez to Merzouga. Moustapha welcomed us in to Kasbah Izoran—a very cool building which he built—despite our late arrival, conversed with us about our travels (he spoke great English). In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast before heading out.
Greta C — Google review
Relaxing stay with scenic views of the area. Very peaceful. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Lovely hosts.
Benita A — Google review

Mustapha was a warm host and you can tell he cares deeply about the food and experience and community. Food was fresh and delicious, both dinner and breakfast. The view is stunning, and it’s nice to be outside of the city. Lots of kitties!! Room was comfortable, and shower had good water pressure! We’d stay there again.
Domitilla T — Google review
Wonderful people, food, service and location just outside of town, with a magnificent view of the Atlas mountains. Highly recommended.
Phil H — Google review
We visited the Kasbah Izoran without a booking. On this day they had enough space but maybe you should call before to reserve. The house is just perfect, looks very traditional, clean and is new built. The owner Mostafa is very kind and invited us for few teas. To reach the house you need to take 500 meters unpathed road. This makes it a good and very quite location. Breakfast was good.

Great place to spend time with family or friends. Large selection of activities, good prices. We played paintball and got a lot of vivid impressions. The workers at the paintball zone are very nice people, it was a pleasure to deal with them. They also provide a change of clothes so you don’t get dirty.
Victoria S — Google review
Great experience! Very well organized for activities for pre teens and teenagers- only reason am not giving a 5 is because the service at coffee shop can be better- no one came to check on me and why is do we have to pay parking ?? I know it’s only 10 dhs and in my views it’s just one more way to make money? And it’s not even covered parking… hope owners can think of this! Otherwise - experience was great!
Fadoua B — Google review
It’s a beautiful place 😍where u can spend time with ur friends 🙏☺️
Ikram N — Google review
Good but not perfect. Parking should be free for the fees people are already paying for activities. But so far my karting experience was enjoyable as a first time and the stuff were friendly. Worth trying.
Nouha R — Google review
I started playing padel with friends here last year. And honestly, between last year and now it's been a big transformation: padel is being taking care of very well by the club owners, additional courts, more allowed space, dedicated staff, online reservation (via Playtomic)... I highly recommend it.
Akram H — Google review
Kids had a blast. Wish we could have spent more time here.
Joshua W — Google review
I had an absolutely fantastic time at this go-karting place! From the moment I arrived, I could tell it was going to be a great experience. The track is expertly designed, with a perfect balance of straightaways and tight turns that really test your driving skills. The karts are in top-notch condition—fast, responsive, and super smooth to drive. It’s clear they take great care of their equipment. What really stood out to me, though, was the staff. They were super friendly and welcoming, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure I felt comfortable before hitting the track. They also created a really fun, energetic atmosphere—there was a great mix of competitive racers and first-timers, so it felt like everyone was having a blast. The whole vibe was friendly but still exciting. The place itself is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, with plenty of space to hang out between races. They even have some cool deals for group bookings, so it’s perfect for parties or team-building events. I also appreciated the fair pricing—definitely worth it for the experience. I’ve already booked my next race and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for some thrilling fun.

Great place for shopping whatever is needed to break the fasting. Good fish market too which gets full in weekends
Assanb M — Google review
I thought it was the city's big souk but it wasn't. Quite a dirty and run down area of town. The place is small, but you don't need much time to look through everything. A few shops and stalls selling everything from souvenirs to shoes, There were also a few restaurants. The mosque might be worth a visit.

Pleasant park for a small walk in the heart of Mohammedia. Surrounded by many modern Caffe shops and restaurants. In its two end you find amazing new mosque and entry to the beach with its long and big corniche walk.

one of the few areas where people go in mohammedia. Many cafés and restaurants around. Busy on weekend. As I saw in older pictures. The parc have changed. Less flowers, and less cleaninness Maybe an impact after the closing of la samir?

Not too many convenience stores around!! I literally had to move about 1200 meters just to find one even though we were in a residence area ❗

Simed A — Google review
Wide, pleasant and relaxing forest in the Green City near Casablanca. Perfect for picnics! Ideal for runners, cyclers with long circuits and slopes and for kids with lots of playing areas. The government could take care of the forest better, as it would not only grow more animal presence but also bring more people around for chill weekends, and hiking.
Reda H — Google review
Beautiful forest to spend time in, it may even bring a lot of memories for the locals due to the fact of being one of the oldest Attractions of the city. Although it's not well taken care of from the government, it's still find its way to shine.

To be honest, it can beautiful, but it is not well maintained. Dirty, No washrooms People do not respect the environment. People making 🔥 No 👮 Garbage everywhere.

Architectural Buildings
The Royal Palace in Casablanca is a stunning example of Islamic architecture, showcasing richly-decorated arches and doors on its main facade. Although visitors can only admire the exterior, the palace's exceptional design makes it a worthwhile stop, especially when combined with nearby attractions like Quartier Habous and Mahkama du Pacha palace.
The Royal Palace in Casablanca is a true masterpiece of Moroccan architecture. Though entry is forbidden, its grandeur from the outside is awe-inspiring, showcasing intricate designs and stunning craftsmanship. Located near the Habous neighborhood, it adds a mythical charm to the area. A must-see for anyone appreciating Morocco’s rich history and architectural beauty.
Taoufik E — Google review

Bay W — Google review
The Place is amazing from the outside but no one can enter it unless you’re in a group visit but the outside of it is soo amazing and WOW!!
Ismail B — Google review
It is forbidden to visit or enter the place The Royal Palace in Casablanca is the main royal residence of the King of Morocco, which is located in the city of Casablanca, the economic capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. Located in the Habous district, this royal palace was built in the 1920s to a design by the brothers Louis Paul and Felix Joseph Bertosio, with garden landscapes designed by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier. This royal palace was renovated during the reign of King Hassan II by French designer Andre Packard. The Royal Palace in Casablanca is considered the second most prominent royal site in Morocco after the Royal Palace in Rabat. It has been the site of many important events, as it hosted, for example but not limited to, the Fourth Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in 1984. It was also the site of Hassan II’s meeting with Pope John Paul II. In 1985, it was the first time that a Pope visited a Muslim country at the invitation of an Islamic leader. It is worth noting here that this royal palace is not open to the public
Yassine H — Google review
I was looking forward to seeing the exteriors of this palace, but unfortunately it was surrounded by tall walls. It is closed off to the public. We asked the security guards a few questions and they were friendly and helpful. Apparently, only tour groups are allowed inside.

Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Mahkama of Pacha, also known as Mahkamat al-Pasha, is a stunning Moorish-style government building located in the picturesque Habous district of Casablanca. This architectural masterpiece was built in the early 20th century and served as both a courthouse and an events venue for state occasions.
Fascinating architecture! Woodworking incredible! Tip- hire a local taxi to take you there. They should be able to work it out with the security for a quick look & pic or 2. Give the taxi driver 50DH to give to security for their kindness, allowing you in for a quick look. Be discreet, as it's a government working building. IE- try not to disrupt the workers. Just be respectful & you'll be fine. Enjoy.
Kevin — Google review
In fact, the search settings set by Google will lead you to a dead end without entry. The real building is a guarded government facility. There is no information on visiting hours or whatsoever. The guidebooks emphasize that you can enter it by bribing a paramilitary guard when no one is in the building. It is legally impossible to enter this building (we asked the guard).
Iuliia F — Google review
If you’re lucky, there will be an event, and you can enter; otherwise, you’ll miss this unique space. The stonework is beyond words—truly impressive.
Buurju — Google review
Nothing to see...they won't let you in. Addendum: the following week, a shopkeeper told us 'it's open, go over there'. so off we went, door open, guards there. Not a hint of tickets, no signs of anything, it is a gov't building, unoccupied, on a Sunday. After a tedious predictable discussion, a 200DRM fee was requested. The place is beautiful inside. For a functioning gov't office building it is in very good shape. The patterned ceilings, internal fountain, tiled walls. But not much terribly new to see, and certainly worth tolerating the dubious behavior of guards.
Steven W — Google review
This parliamentary and judicial building, which is also designated to host the most important ceremonies and official events, is one of the most important architectural landmarks in the city, and it is recommended to visit it during Casablanca tourism trips. It may be difficult to enter the government building, which is still in use until this moment since 1952, after 4 years of construction. Because of the daily workflow and time, however, taking pictures of the building from the outside, where the elegant and elegant architectural design is really worth suffering during tourism tours in Casablanca, in the vicinity of the place. If you are lucky enough to visit the building from the inside, you will definitely enjoy watching the white marble columns that distinguish its squares and the cedar wood ceilings that harmonize with their decorations of finely carved plaster and colorful mosaic pieces. .
Yassine A — Google review
I was looking forward to seeing the architecture of this building, but was very disappointed to learn that it is closed to the public. I asked the security guard when I got here and he told me that it is an administrative building for professionals only.
Harjeenna S — Google review

Central Marketplace, an indoor souk established in the early 1900s, is renowned for its diverse selection of seafood and no-frills food stalls. Upon entering, local vendors eagerly vie for your attention, enticing you to dine at their establishments. The market has been a hub for selling spices, fruits, and various home goods since 1917.
Fresh seafood from the market is served! This is the best place to eat seafood in Casablanca with affordable price. Open 10 am, close 20 pm.
Manami T — Google review
This is somewhat like a bit of the medina souk, enclosed in its own walls, offering well liked fish grill restaurants, fruit and vegetables as well as flowers and other such market goods. Nothing is priced?. The cafes were busy and the fish market had some high end fish and shellfish, much sought after.
Kevin C — Google review
The Central Market one of the most famous urban markets in Morocco with historical and cultural significance. It is located on Muhammad V Boulevard, among the colonial architecture of the 20th century. Crammed with locals, the daily market is a fascinating place for tourists to get a taste of local culture, while picking up bargains on everything from food to flowers and traditional clothing.
Silver D — Google review
The best place for seafood at an amazing price. It's so fresh you can even eat oysters alive. Just be aware of scammers: they often lead you to random restaurants and serve starters you didn’t order, without any explanation. In the end, you may end up paying more for those than for your main dish.
Jordy B — Google review
You will find Central Marketplace in all big cities in Morocco including CasabIanca. I went there to eat fresh seafood. Fish restaurants are very clean, they offer fresh seafood only, good service, affordable prices. Fresh oysters 8-10 MAD, it is about 08-1 USD I ordered sardines for 30 MAD (about 3 USD). Sardines served with bread basket, salad, lentil porridge and lemon.
Anna T — Google review
Recommend! There are lots of local guy came here as well. I came twice, the first time order in the restaurant, the second time bought the sea food myself and the restaurant responsible for cooking. The second option is better. I bought a whole crab with less than 100 mad. And the way they cook keeps the original flavor quite well.
HISTRO Z — Google review
Interesting place especially the seafood selection with a wide variety of fish including shark (I would have thought they would have been rescued and thrown back) lots of restaurants trying to get you to eat there.
Marco C — Google review
This is not where you go If you’re looking for authentic place, Stockholms Prices. Branded for tourists, Priced for tourists, they chase you in street to buy from or stay at thier places. Best :Oysters and fish selections are great. Worst: the fishermens dishonest. Change prices how they want and set different price on the scale, be aware

Sights & Landmarks
The Church of Notre Dame of Lourdes is a modern Catholic church in Casablanca, Morocco, built in 1954. It stands out for its striking stained-glass windows designed by the renowned French artist Gabriel Loire. As one of only two Catholic churches in the city, it's a must-see attraction and a rare sight in a predominantly Muslim country.
Otherworldly. Even without the stained glass the architecture is really impressive and very refreshing when compared to the usual cathedral styles. But the stained glass is unbelievable. Just stunning
Safwan C — Google review
Lovely church with beautiful stained glass windows.. not much else to see there so expect just to spend 10 mins looking around
Marco C — Google review
Beautiful church, surprised by the modern style. The stained glass was stunning, both around the chapel and in the vaulted ceiling, hard to believe the time it was constructed, quite ahead of its time.
Andy A — Google review
Impressive church designed by architect Achille Dangleterre, engineer Gaston Zimmer and stained glass artist Gabriel Loire (1954-56). The church has three naves, but it is the central nave, with its super tall ceiling that defines it. All around it, stained glass windows let colorful light rays enter it and lighten and humanize an otherwise austere and industrial bare concrete scale. The Church of Notre Dame de Lourdes is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit in the heart of Casablanca. The modern architecture is striking, and the colorful stained-glass windows are absolutely stunning — they fill the entire space with light and color. It’s a quiet spot to reflect and appreciate art, history, and spirituality. Definitely worth a visit, even if you’re not religious.

United Nations Square, located at the heart of Casablanca, is a bustling urban center where modernity and tradition converge. Originally a marketplace, it now serves as a vibrant meeting point connecting the old Medina with the new city. The square is surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants, offices, and traditional cafes. It also features iconic buildings such as the BMCI building from the mid-twentieth century and the classic Excelsior Hotel built in neo-Moorish style.
Great spot for tourists to see the Opera House and French Embassy. Buildings also have Berber written on them. Great central location to meet at the fountain.

Busy square in the heart of the city. Plenty of seating around and seems like lot of the locals and tourists just sit around there taking breaks. Not much to see but not bad to walk by on the way to seeing other sights.
Keneth M — Google review
For locals, this area is a core life experience no matter what age you are, you’ll get somehow in trouble with some stranger. For tourists best to avoid rush hours mid day and late hours at night, don’t make it a stop station, there isn’t much to see anyways, if you come by “Bab Merrakech” (just few meters away from west) you can just pass by and go to Maarif, which I think you can spend the evening there and it will be much pleasant

Old Medina Centenary House is a historic area in Casablanca, North Africa, featuring whitewashed streets and leafy squares with well-preserved buildings still in use today. The location also hosts art exhibitions and surprises visitors with stunning discoveries. It's a place where locals go about their daily routines, creating an authentic atmosphere for visitors to experience.
I visited at 5 AM. The woman and men were walking to open there shops. A few fruit vendors were already open for a long day. It was mostly women in hijab. There are no official laws in the Constitution of the Maldives that require women to cover their heads, but Maldivian women commonly wear a hijab and niqab in public. I brought a gold scarf from WalMart, Penticton, and long smock from Gr Britain. I felt better in this dress as I visited the Hassan II Mosques.

The Medina Market in Casablanca, Morocco, may not be as bustling as those in Marrakesh or Fes, but it still offers a glimpse into traditional Moroccan medina life. While some parts of the neighborhood are rundown residential buildings, the market features a variety of shops selling fresh produce, fish and meat, clothing stores, and a more touristy area known as the Old Medina Market.
The old Medina market just as any other Medina except this is a little modern and looks new. Nevertheless, full of life and colours even in the night. Some very good places to have some great Moroccan delicacies or Tea.
Shaik M — Google review
Medina Market is a vibrant and expansive marketplace that captures the essence of local culture and commerce. Spanning narrow alleys and bustling pathways, it can be easy to lose one’s way amid the myriad of shops and stalls. The market offers a diverse array of goods, from colorful clothing and handcrafted toys to stylish footwear and intricate imitation jewelry. Each corner reveals unique treasures that reflect the rich heritage of the region. Shoppers can explore various vendors offering pure argan oil, celebrated for its culinary and cosmetic benefits. This high-quality oil is available in multiple shops, making it a must-try for visitors. Amid the shopping frenzy, small restaurants serve delicious sandwiches and refreshing juices, providing a welcome break for weary explorers. However, navigating the market requires some caution, as motorcycles often weave through the narrow lanes, adding to the lively atmosphere. Whether you’re seeking souvenirs, indulging in local flavors, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds, Medina Market promises an unforgettable experience for all who visit.

The Medina Market in Casablanca, Morocco, is a vibrant and bustling destination filled with local charm. The market’s lively atmosphere is enhanced by its authentic architectural details, such as wooden latticework and traditional lanterns. A highlight is the food section, where visitors can sample local delicacies like simmering snails. Overall, the Medina Market offers a rich cultural experience that captures the essence of Moroccan life.

I can confidently say that this is my favorite museum in Casablanca. It is located in the heart of the city, various, perfectly organized. It has a permanent exhibition in the main floor along with a temporary in the top floor. I've been here twice and wouldn't hesitate to come again.

This private collection is quite unique in the combination of exhibits brought together to form this museum. It showcases antique jewellery & antique posters, but my favourite section was the 19th century bohemian crystal boxes. I would give this place 5 stars, but all the information boards are only in Arabic & French. I think if they want to appeal to a wider international audience, they need the information in English also. Yes, there is a QR code to get an overview via an English audio description, but it's not the same, and not everyone will have a SiM card to access this or want to use up their phone battery.

Especially I love posters. NOTE: *There is a gift shop there. You can buy the copies of posters, books, bags with prints, post cards. *There is a WC. *There are places to sead down if you are tired. *Affordable prices for tickets.

This eclectic and charming private collection stole our hearts. We appreciated being thoughtfully welcomed in English by the impressively multi-lingual staff, and being offered a collection guide printed in English, as the permanent exhibition signage is in French and Arabic. The size of the permanent collection on the first and second floors, combined with a temporary exhibition on the third allows you to thoroughly experience everything without becoming fatigued as is often the case in larger museums. We were especially fond of the vintage posters in the collection and were therefore delighted to learn we could purchase postcards containing the images as well as quality art books featuring the same. A highly recommended experience in Casablanca for lovers of arts and crafts.

A very nice, relaxing place to enjoy the peace and quiet in the shade of a palm tree while the noise of the traffic disappears in the background. Sacred Heart Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks
Sacred Heart Cathedral, also known as the Church of Sacred Heart, is a grand former Roman Catholic cathedral in Casablanca, Morocco. Built in 1930 by French architect Paul Tournon in neo-Gothic style, it was intended to serve the city's Catholic community during the French protectorate era. However, after Morocco gained independence in 1956, it ceased its religious functions and was transformed into a cultural center.
Stepping into Sacred Heart Cathedral felt like walking into a dream—calm, serene, and absolutely breathtaking! The mix of Art Deco and Neo-Gothic architecture had me feeling like I was in a movie scene, and the stained-glass windows? Absolutely mesmerizing. Of course, I had to bring my own flair to the moment—dressed in bold red and black, standing against the crisp white walls of the cathedral. A contrast fit for a masterpiece! Whether you're here for history, photography, or just to enjoy a peaceful escape in the city, this place is a must-visit. P.S. If you go, take a moment to just stand in the center, soak in the beauty, and maybe even strike a pose—because this backdrop deserves it! 10/10—Would definitely recommend!

I walked around and ventured up the stairs but could not visit the balcony. The gardens surrounding the cathedral are beautiful and I was very happy to have visited this great historical building.

Ismail B — Google review
Beautiful piece of architecture designed by Paul Tournon and finished in 1931. The impressive scale (and height), its vertical lines, the details, the gothic references, is an unexpected surprise. Its immaculate whiteness inside is only interrupted by the strained glass light, giving it a very airy and celestial ambience. Unfortunately, the church was desacralized in 1951, and was used as a cultural event venue since. Inside, there is a whole element that was clearly built afterwards. This could easily be used as an interpretative center of the building. Although devoid of a regular function, it is kept open. Beware that the building closed at 19h at the time I visited.

Disrespectful, arrogant and service. We came to ask why we can't enter the mosque that was built by our contributes as Moroccans outside of Prayers hours they said the mosque is closed after each prayer wait until the next prayer or go buy a tickets with illogical prices to access the courtyard! This is a House od God this not an amusement park. And you are a foundation not a profitable organization. And when wanted to make an official complaint he gave us a white printing paper and pen nothing official... So unfortunate for such a great mosque.

The beautiful building of the Foundation cost a lost of people's money but the Foundation is not doing enough for people. The mosque lacks green spots, trees and flower plants in the front lawn. The outside lawn floor is all marble and gets very hot in summer but there is no shade, no trees, no flowers, except in the corridors. The foreign visitors pay 120-Dirhams per person for a quick short visit inside, through basement. A lot of maintenance work needs to be done. Please beautify the outside lawn. Thanks.

The Museum of Moroccan Judaism in Casablanca is a small yet unique museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich Jewish history of Morocco. Housed in a beautifully restored villa, which was once an orphanage, the museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts including religious items, traditional clothing, and historic documents.
A wonderful insight into the Jewish community. It showcases some fine artifacts, clothes, photos and rituals performed by this community. On display is also the lifestyle and the religious aspects like the prayer rooms and their beliefs. And most importantly, there are some very good manuscripts in the Hebrew language. The Museum is slightly off the city center but worth a visit. Entrance fee is MAD50.00 and you could easily spend 1hr here. However, on exiting, be prepared to be greeted by the Janitor lady asking to your face for some "sadaqa" aka "donation" and you are obliged to give some!

The Jewish Museum of Morocco is a historical window into the life of the Jewish community, which was an integral part of the Moroccan social and cultural fabric. Among the treasures on display in the museum is a rich collection of photographs documenting the daily life of Moroccan Jewish communities in various cities and villages. These photographs show minute details of Jewish life in Morocco, such as popular markets, religious rituals, weddings, and even simple family moments. The photographs reflect the traditions and customs that were practiced on a daily basis, showing the diversity of economic and social activities in which Jews participated alongside the rest of the Moroccan population. The photographs are noted for their interest in documenting cultural aspects such as traditional clothing, ornate costumes, and distinctive jewelry that reflects artistic richness. In addition, the photographs highlight the close relationship between Jews and their Muslim neighbors, demonstrating the spirit of coexistence and tolerance that has always characterized Moroccan society

This is quite a nice place with a nice aura and a very special vibe. I guess I couldn't give more than three stars because of the following: ● There was no guide to give further explanation. We would have welcomed a little more information. We had a lot of questions and we got out with no answers. ● For what we saw, the price is quite unfair for locals. 50Dh/person. I think It would be better I guess if there's a cheap fee for locals and a higher fee for foreigners (like most countries do). It would encourage people to come more often, and even come again to take guests. ● Maybe, the lighting should be revisited because there are some items that are hard to see due to the reflections of different bulmb lights on the windows. Apart from the two above mentioned minor false notes, everything was great. The way the space is arranged and the rooms are organized + the pictures in the corridor showing how it was and who was there and how they lived and taught back then. I loved it. The clothes, the tools, the chandeliers, the jewelry and the lecterns are all very well presented with reference numbers that are quite clear. The study room and the Torah reading space project a true spiritual vibe. And the surrounding garden is just awsome. The way it's arranged and shaped is very cozy. It should be highlighted.

We were in Casablanca while on a cruise and spent the day on a tour. We passed by this magnificent lighthouse while on a tour to the great mosque. It stands proudly on the waterfront for all people and boats to see. I believe it is the tallest lighthouse in Morocco and started working in 1920. Our tour did not stop at the lighthouse but we observed it from the bus.

Fabulous view of the surrounding area. You can get an almost 360 view of the ocean and city. Around the lighthouse on the ground there is quite a lot of trash and broken glass. You have to look where you step. There is also steep cliffs behind the lighthouse down to the ocean. If you are careful you can climb down and get to the sea.

The places looks great, their was a man who offered to take us up for a fee of USD 10 per person, it is a lot for Morocco but it was worth it! The view is great, you get to see both the very poor and very rich part of the city as shown in the pictures attached!

El Hank Lighthouse, built between 1916 and 1920, is Casablanca’s tallest lighthouse at 51 meters high. Designed by French architect Albert Laprade, it blends colonial engineering with Moroccan aesthetics, resembling a minaret. Located on the tip of El Hank Peninsula, it was vital for guiding ships safely into Casablanca’s once-dangerous harbor. With 256 steps leading to a breathtaking panoramic view of the Atlantic and the city, it remains a powerful symbol of the city's maritime history and modern identity.

The mall itself is ok. Not many stores but not crowded either on a sunday. What i like about it is the food court. Ample seating and good selection of food outlets. They have the standard mcdonalds, kfc, and dominos. But they also have a shawarma, sushi, and oyster counter for variety. I found that the oysters were competitively priced at 10 dirhams per piece for a good sized oyster. It would compare to an 8 or 9 dirham oyster from the central marketplace in Casablanca where they have the seafood market. Bathrooms are clean too. Overall, good place to eat even though the shopping side is not much.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re looking for a mall that’s more fun than a camel ride in the Sahara, Anfaplace Mall is your go-to spot! From the moment I stepped in, I felt like a kid in a candy store—except instead of candy, it’s designer stores, tasty food courts, and a view that’s almost as stunning as a sunset over the Atlantic. The shops are so tempting, I had to practice some serious self-control—spoiler alert: I failed, but happily! The food court has more options than a Moroccan spice market, and I swear I gained five pounds just by smelling the deliciousness. Plus, the staff here are so friendly, I almost felt like I was visiting family—if my family was super stylish and knew all the latest trends. Oh, and did I mention the view? Watching the waves crash while shopping is basically a therapy session with a view. In short, Anfaplace Mall is the perfect blend of shopping, eating, and seaside vibes. Five stars, a hundred times over—can’t wait to go back and pretend I’m on a shopping spree instead of just window shopping!

The location of this mall is very nice, well structured and with a wonderful sea view. For me it’s more than a shopping mall it’s an experience

Shopping
Morocco Mall is a prominent and luxurious shopping destination sprawled across 24 acres. It features a traditional souk, an IMAX cinema showcasing English-speaking films, and an expansive selection of dining options. The mall also boasts a large aquarium visible from the center without requiring entry fees, as well as Adventureland, an underground theme park with various rides and an ice rink.
Rabat’s Morocco Mall is no longer a promise, it’s a pulsating reality. Now inaugurated and fully operational, this 100,000 m² architectural triumph redefines luxury retail in Morocco’s capital. Designed by Singapore’s DP Architects (creators of Dubai Mall), the space dazzles with avant-garde curves, cascading waterfalls in its soaring central atrium, and a glass façade that floods interiors with sunlight. Integrated into the Wessal Bourgreg development, it complements landmarks like the Grand Theatre, embodying Rabat’s metamorphosis into a “city of light.” Retail & Culture, Perfected: With 200+ stores, the mall balances global luxury (Dior, Zara) and local pride—Yan&One’s chic designs and Café Clock’s modern-Moroccan flavors shine. The rooftop garden, a tranquil escape with Bouregreg River views, contrasts beautifully with the buzzing indoor aquarium, where vibrant fish glide past mesmerized visitors. Sustainability isn’t an afterthought: green roofs, energy-efficient systems, and recycled materials underscore its eco-commitment. Leisure Unleashed The once “coming soon” amenities are now thriving. Families flock to the ice rink’s frosty loops, while cinephiles lounge in the plush, recliner-equipped cinema. The food court elevates mall dining—skip chains for fragrant tagines, sushi bars, and gelato crafted from Argan oil. Grit Amid Glamour Weekend crowds test the 5,000-space parking lot, and a handful of stores remain under wraps. Yet, the mall’s soul lies in its staff: multilingual greeters, Youssef (the info desk’s walking encyclopedia), and security teams who blend professionalism with warmth. Morocco Mall delivers on its bold vision. More than a shopping hub, it’s a cultural landmark where Rabat’s heritage and future collide. Arrive early, wear comfy shoes, and let the waterfall’s murmur guide you this is modern Morocco at its finest.

Morocco Mall is hands down one of the best shopping destinations I've visited. From the moment you step in, you can feel the scale and luxury of the place. It’s not just about shopping; it’s an experience. The mall offers an incredible variety of stores, from high-end international brands to more affordable local shops, so there’s something for every budget and style. I particularly enjoyed the unique mix of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship alongside modern fashion. One of the highlights of the mall is the gigantic aquarium right in the middle. It’s truly stunning and adds a unique touch that I haven't seen in other malls. For families, it's a great attraction that the kids will love. There’s even a way to take an elevator ride through the aquarium, which was a fun and unexpected surprise. The food court offers plenty of options, with both international fast food chains and local cuisine, so you can grab a bite while enjoying the beautiful ocean views from the rooftop terrace. It’s more than just a place to shop; it’s a destination worth spending a few hours exploring.

The mall looks great after the renovation, especially with the new flooring. I hope they also take care of the elevators, bathrooms, and parking machines. It would be wonderful if they added a cinema similar to the old IMAX 3D.

A bit far from the city. Went by public taxi for 8 dhs only. Such a 3 stories huge mall where you can find many shops, mainly brands, restaurants, cafes, ice cream corner and others. Just a wonderful dinner in the food court in floor 3.

Huge Shopping Mall to visit. ✅A shopping area with mass market stores such as De Facto and premium stores such as Balenciaga. ✅ Home improvement stores like IKEA. ✅ ADVENTURE LAND play area for children with cars, rides, slot machines, etc. ✅ There is an area of restaurants and cafes. ✅ This shopping mall has a large aquarium with sea fish such as rays, sharks, etc.

The largest mall in Africa is a dump. From the pictures the mall looked nice inside but the mall is not maintained at all. Most of the tile floors are broken. Some sections there’s no tiles at all. The toilets are dirty and stinks. The air con is not on so it’s warm inside. The aquarium is a nice touch but it’s the only thing nice about this mall. The food court had some mediocre food stalls. This mall have some nice stores. But everything cost twice as much.

We visited this mall during a roundtrip through several cities and, honestly, found it a bit overhyped. While the space is modern and clean, it didn’t offer anything particularly unique or memorable. The aquarium, often highlighted as a main attraction, felt underwhelming during our visit and isn’t necessarily a must-see. The food court also lacked variety and didn’t seem very inviting. That said, the Adventure Land and a few dining spots were enjoyable—but not quite enough to outweigh the drawbacks. If you're looking for a more well-rounded shopping and leisure experience, I’d recommend checking out Marina Shopping Centre instead.

Sprawling water park featuring water slides, a wave pool & a range of on-the-go dining options.
Amazing place! really exceeded our expectations, even by European standards. Modern, clean facilities and plenty of attractions for both kids and adults. A perfect spot to spend the whole day with family when the weather is nice. We all had a great time. I’ve lived in Casablanca for years and had no idea this was here. Definitely recommended for all ages.

I had an amazing day at Tamaris Aquaparc! The park is spotless and well-kept. The slides are incredibly fun, and there’s a variety for everyone to enjoy. The staff is friendly and always willing to assist. I highly recommend this spot for a fun and relaxing day with family or friends!

Not so good at all. Not worth 230dh. There is way better aquaparks and they cost less. So crouded and not many activities. Not a single normal pool for adults. perfect for kids thou. people are using the shower like Hamam, It took me 15min to find a spot and 2min to shower.

Love love love. 150 dh for kids. I think 250 for adults. Locker rooms at a reasonable amount , (deposit needed. Not much I think 50 dh. ) and it’ll be returned after key. Has food locations. Great shawarma and burgers. Seats are rented for 30 dh for 1 seat all day. All around second time going. It was good. Great for (tourist)

Terrible Experience – I Will Not Return I visited Aqua Park Tamaris recently and had one of the worst customer service experiences. First, I had to wait nearly 20 minutes at the entrance just to pay because their TPE (card machine) wasn’t working, and they kept trying the same thing instead of offering alternatives or solutions. Once inside, I asked for a locker with a key to store my phone and car keys. They told me I needed to pay 25 DH inside. Fine — but when I got to the payment point, they told me they don’t accept card, only cash. So I tried to go back to my car to get cash, and that’s when the situation got ridiculous. They refused to let me go back to the parking area unless I waited for another person to return from the parking lot. Why do I need to wait for someone else to leave before I can go? Makes no sense. I waited 17 minutes just to access my own car. To make things worse, an older man with white hair who seems to be in charge was extremely rude and aggressive, and all the other staff were clearly afraid of him. It honestly felt more like a prison than a water park — they even stopped my wife and wouldn’t let her leave with me. Completely disrespectful and unacceptable. Also, food inside is overpriced and not even good. Nothing like what they advertise. This was a very disappointing experience overall. Poor service, terrible management, and lack of respect for customers. I won’t be returning, and I strongly don’t recommend it to anyone.

First and last time at Tamari’s AquaPark. Arrived half-day, still charged full price, and my 11-year-old had to pay adult rate. No lockers, green pool water, and weird atmosphere. Waited an hour for a slide because of limited inflatables. Very disappointed.

The Water Museum in Marrakech is a beautiful and well-organized place that is perfect for relaxing and learning more about Morocco's history. It was a pleasant surprise to find all of the different water vessels, artifacts, and photographs collected over the years visually presented in this way. This museum is a great way to learn about Morocco's fascinating water history and culture.
A hidden gem with no advertising whatsoever that it deserves. Could perhaps be due to its distance from the city center. So well maintained, neat and clean. Has so much info on world's most previous natural resource, Water, that everyone must visit to learn. the Museum is spread over 3 floors of information spanning geographic, historical and theological. There are even some very old scientific instruments as discovered by scientists back in the days. A must visit I must say. Entr fee is MAD45.0 and you could easily spend 2 hrs learning.

Great Museum! Very informative and well displayed. Videos and photos are great to have a better understanding of the water history and how well Morocco has managed to control the flow and consumption. Videos are displayed in Arabic, French and English, however the English version didn’t work in three occasions. I highly recommend this museum to everyone to realize how extremely important and precious the water is.

World class museum. We had the place to ourselves! Spent 1.5 hours, historic to present day. Unique relationship of Moroccan people to water, through physical, values, to spiritual. And, how modern l Morocco has taken a stance in the world through developments, awards and now offering prizes to further evolving processes. Cost for foreigners 45 Dh per person. March/2025 Easy to get to, parking was free.

The Water Museum in Marrakesh provides a fascinating and immersive journey into the significance of water in Morocco's history and culture. Nestled within a stunningly landscaped environment, the museum seamlessly blends modern exhibits with traditional Moroccan design, creating a visually appealing and educational space. The museum's exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, offering a mix of interactive displays, historical artifacts, and multimedia presentations. These elements effectively illustrate the critical role of water in shaping the region's agricultural practices, urban development, and daily life. Particularly captivating is the exhibit on traditional irrigation systems, showcasing the ingenuity and sustainability of ancient engineering methods. The outdoor areas of the museum are equally engaging, featuring lush gardens and tranquil water features that echo the themes explored within the exhibits. Additionally, the museum dedicates a significant portion of its space to addressing contemporary issues related to water scarcity and conservation, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges faced by Morocco and the world. Overall, the Water Museum in Marrakesh is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in exploring the intricate relationship between water and civilization.
